NISSAN Owners - DO NOT BUY. Regardless of what they tell you, this coverage will not cover your NISSAN vehicle transmission. On May 9th 2019, I purchased vehicle protection policy from AA Auto Protection. During the phone conversation, I expressed my needs, which were protection for my engine and transmission at the very least. After supplying the sale agent, Manny ** with all my full vehicle description (make, model, year, current mileage, etc), I was informed that the best package option would be the Powertrain Plus policy which covered the engine and transmission and a few other components. I agreed and we moved forward with the transaction.

Upon completing the transaction, I was sent an email confirmation with all my information including a link to the "full terms and Conditions" of the Powertrain Plus policy. I was told to review because I only had 30 days to cancel if I did not agree with the terms. So I did my part and read the terms of the package. The link led to the powertrain plus policy where it reads "For the most accurate and up to date description of coverage, please view the actual contract here". So that is what I did. I read the terms and was satisfied with the details.

Nearly 5 months later, my car transmission dies on me and I was shocked that my claim was denied when the facility they referred me to called in the claim to Matrix Protection. I was told that in section D, number 28, it read that all Nissan with a CVT transmission would not be repaired. EVERY NISSAN BUILT AFTER 2007 HAS A CVT TRANSMISSION. I went back to the link to see how I would miss that very specific term that related directly to my 2010 Nissan Altima and there was no number 28 in section D at all. After days of calling Matrix and AA Auto Protection, and given the runaround. I was told that was an old version of the contract on the website and that I should have read my physical copy which was sent via mail. I am now without a vehicle and nowhere to turn.

I was told that once the sales rep puts in your vehicle information, that any coverage that would not apply to your vehicle would not pop up as an option at all, so I am trying to figure out how this coverage popped up when every Nissan made after 2007 has a CVT Transmission? I don't know about everyone else but I am pretty sure whoever seeks extended warranty, are folks just like myself. Working class who do not have enough money to repair an engine or transmission. Yet here I am. My hard earned money, down the drain. The repair for the transmission is $4700 and I don't have that kind of money. This is what I get for actually reading the terms as soon as I received it via email instead of waiting for it to come in the mail I guess. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and I refuse to let this happen to any other customer if I can help it.

Dear Consumer, think long and hard before signing up with this company. Make sure that you read all of the reviews. I purchase a policy 1 year and 3 months ago, in June 2019 I cancel because I upgraded my car. Called the company to see if one they received my cancellation notice and if there any type of refund. The rep was rude, stated that I only held the policy for 6 months and that they did not have a send a letter responding to my inquiry. I told him I would write a review about my experience and he stated that he would report me to the police. Since I work with the consumer and know the rules I told him to do that. Based on other reviews of this company, One needs to think long and hard before using them. I will not call on them again.

I purchased an extended warranty from them and after seven days decided to cancel. It has been a nightmare since. I continue to receive past due notices from both AA and Mepco (their billing firm) even after emailing numerous times that I cancelled and asked for a refund of my initial payment. All I get is passing the buck. Fortunately I noticed my bank not to accept any requests for payment since I was on auto pay. Beware of the sales people, they will promise you anything to sign you up and then you are on your own. Next step for me is legal action and filing a complaint with consumer affairs.

So I bought a policy from this company on Feb the 6th 2019. After a month and more than a 1000 miles of driving as the policy states. I took it to Lexus dealer to check on the fan of the AC it stopped working - by the way I asked Katie (sales person for AA Auto Protection) about the engine, transmission and AC - and she confirmed that the policy that I bought after that conversation are all included - now when I took the car to the dealer they refused to fix the AC, and when I called Katie she said, "Oh I do not know why your claim was denied, you should email your case administrator," wait what?!!! So when you want to sell us your service you call us 20 times per hour and when we file a claim you cannot contact the agent you can only email him??!! So basically it is a scam. They will not fix your car. DO NOT BUY. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

Transmission failure 2010 Malibu 6t45. The most disappointing thing about the extended warranty from AA Auto Protection is they are putting in a used transmission from LKQ with a 90 day warranty. The total job is costing 3800. Why waste money on a used transmission, mileage unknown instead of a remanufactured transmission from a reputable rebuilder with a better warranty.

This is the second time I have had this company warranty. And for the second time they do not honor my policy. They said my fuel pump went out because of something else that is not covered by the warranty so they refused to repair the fuel pump. So if you are not a mechanic you do not know all the parts then. It took 5 days for inspectors come out one more day for them to check it. And the third day they told me that they will not honor my warranty because something else made the problem go bad. So they will not honor none of the policy. Try to cancel the policy and no I cannot find anyone to notarize a letter stating the mileage because they do not provide a legal document for me to get this paper notarized. Been calling for 3 days. Still have not received the paperwork.

These people could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in a white dress. Had one claim with them and the dealership had to document that there were no aftermarket parts because the vehicle was too new. Then AA warranty tried to get the dealership to get parts from the junkyard to fix the problem. This was an electric door window switch for the passenger front window. The dealership told them they would only put in OEM Parts. After 5 days for something that had a 1 hour labor time, as warranty finally caved in and paid for the OEM part.

3 months later I traded in a for new vehicle. Sent all paperwork in for my partial refund of the policy. They said it would take 4 to 8 weeks. They said they received the refund paperwork they required November 1st. That I should have the refund by the first week in January. Mid- January I called again. They said my refund is $1244.66 and should have it any day. January 29... Calling again on January 30th with Attorney.

I started my contract 12/3/2018. Katie was the lady I spoke with. She spoke so highly of the company in which in return sold me. She then asked me how many miles was on the vehicle. I told her I was not sure as I was currently driving another vehicle and I do have 3 cars so not sure of the mileage. Katie stated to just guess the mileage. I stated to her, "I don't know maybe 4800 or 4900."

Well, later found out she put 5100. I go to get vehicle fixed, and was informed can't be fixed due to mileage discrepancy. I was so confused. After contacting the warranty company, I was informed the contract said 5100, and the dealership is showing 5180. I informed them what they had was not accurate. I informed them what I told Katie. I even reached out to Katie and she stated she was going to fix it and send me the updated warranty. Never happened and did not hear from her until several days later. She then acted dumbfounded and stated she can pull the recorded conversation. I was like okay.

My vehicle has been in the shop over 2 weeks due to the mileage. I was told to provide documents showing the mileage on it. I did that. Provided everything I was told to provide. Then they came back and said they needed something totally different from what was originally stated. They needed a work order close to date starting contract. Ummm my vehicle didn't need to go to the shop so no I had nothing to show. But what they needed always changed. Then they stated they can cancel my contract due to this. I said, "Why, it is your fault not mine." So I asked them to cancel.

Every time I call now I am being transferred to different people, if the phone do not all of a sudden disconnect on their end. I informed them I have had warranty companies in the past, and by far they are the worse. I eventually went and got my vehicle. Still haven't heard back from them about cancelling. This is so sad to treat your customers this way. So embarrassing. And they also said if my mileage was right still it might not be covered. Never...

This company has been awful. After paying them for a year, we needed a new transmission. However they will only put a junkyard transmission into our vehicle. They said their only requirement is make sure it runs again to get us back on the road. In contract they are suppose to cover up to 10,000 dollars, but are now saying they will only cover 2200. And that the administrator gets to make those decisions. I wish we would have never given this company a dime. They tell you what you want to hear to get your money but when the time comes that you need it, they do not cover what they are supposed to.

July 17 2017 I started coverage for my recently purchased car (used). I was denied coverage on 3 separate incidents regarding repairs. Aug 2018 ~ I called about cancelling my contract and spoke with Deanna. The documents requested was mailed in 2 days later. It must be stated how impossible it is to contact the individuals responsible for the refund process. Oct 30th ~ I spoke with a sales rep named David that stated my refund wasn't processed correctly. Same day I spoke with Deanna who stated I should get a notice within 5-10 business days. Nov 19th ~ still nothing, I left a voicemail for Mr. **. Nov 26th ~ (still no return call from **) I spoke with Deanna who stated she doesn't have any update on my process or an estimate of an amount and to email the manager **. Email sent.

As of today (Dec 6th 2018), no email or call back from Mr. ** and I cannot get in contact with Deanna as usual. Sales rep Kyle has no answers and forwards me to a voicemail. I call back and speak to a second sales rep, Manny, still no answers and claims there is no one else I can speak to. Customer service emailed. I deposited $1000.00 at the start of my coverage trusting this company with my vehicle and was denied 3 times. I was enrolled in autopay and ever had an issue with payments in the year I was covered. I haven't and shouldn't have to resort to daily calls, voicemails, or emails to get any information regarding what's going on.

It is unbelievable how bad this business is with handling this process. Then to be told that there is no one above Mr. ** or anyone besides Deanna that I can speak to and I am left to chase two people that will not return calls or emails with me. I find it hard to believe that such bad practices and a team of people handling this situation so unprofessionally does not have a corporate to answer to. To those doing their research, take these reviews seriously and do not conduct business with this company. Read the contract fine print. You are certainly better off saving money for repairs instead. I won't say it's a scam but it feels like one. Signing up with AA Auto Protection was one of those worst decisions I could've ever made.

A bolt - integral to the engine and interior to the engine broke and destroyed the interior and now the entire engine and some other parts need to be replaced/repaired. We were asked to provide proof of all maintenance and oil changes. Over 70 pages of documentation was submitted. First, Juan said the bolt was an excluded part - but when we reviewed the contract he changed what he said and it is Not a Named Covered Part. The Dealership/Mechanic says the bolt is part of the engine and you don't get an engine without the bolt. We constantly have to play phone tag and have been unable to reach Juan's boss - message left, but no call back!

When the manufacturers warranty on our 2011 Honda Pilot ran out, my husband researched different companies to purchase an extended warranty. This company had a very high rating, offered a product that he liked, so he called and purchased the warranty. The contract would be effective until Feb 2020 or 105,000 miles. This was also to be a transferable warranty. On September 15, we sold our Pilot to a dealership, and the warranty was not transferable to a dealership. I contacted AA on October 4, 2018 and was told what I needed to do to cancel the warranty. On that same day, I mailed the letter and a copy of the odometer reading at the time of sale that was obtained from the dealership.

When I hadn’t heard anything further, I started trying to contact AA. I chose the option that I was an existing customer and repeatedly was left listening to elevator music until the call finally rolled over to voicemail. No calls have been returned. I called AA again today, and instead of choking the option of existing or new customer, I just let their phone message play through. After less than 30 seconds a gentleman answered and asked how he could help. I explained the situation to him and he stated, “Oh, let me transfer you to that department.” I listened to elevator music for 15 more minutes before the music stopped, without anyone ever answered the call. As best I can figure, they owe me approximately $650. Tomorrow I contact the FTC.

I have been told this company has been working on other things and as not had time to refund my money. In addition, I have been told there is no cash flow problems. And I keep getting the runaround. There is something wrong with this company when they cannot uphold their own contract when they expect the consumer to follow their policy.

I am still waiting for my refund as of 9/25/18. My concern is this company continues to write policies and may continue to hold their customers' refunds. I want my refund of $502.26 credited to my Discover Card as agreed to ASAP as their warranty states. Now when I had my bumper to bumper from the dealership there was no problem if something went that was covered by the warranty. It was paid for after I paid my deductible. Well I had made sure that when I went looking for a warranty on my new Jeep I told John I wanted the same warranty. He assured me that this Platinum coverage was the one I was looking for so I bought this warranty back in 2016. Well this weekend for the first time I needed to use this warranty. I paid my deductible which was 100.00 dollars. My jeep dealer called the warranty company to get approval and was told that they would only give them a certain amount that the Jeep repair shop was asking for too much.

Now he told me that this is what it cost them for the parts and that after what the warranty company would pay them that I would have to also pay another 180.00 beside the 100.00 deductible that I had already paid. Never mind the 2200.00 I paid for the Platinum policy. So what am I suppose to do? Run around to different shops to find someone who will do it for what this warranty company is willing to pay? This is a complete ripoff that they are pulling. Now I'm out 2200.00 dollars plus the 100.00 deductible. My jeep hasn't been repaired. I am also putting a complaint in with the Better Business and also John ** doesn't even have the courtesy to call me back.

I cancelled my coverage per the terms and conditions and sent the necessary documentation as outlined in the coverage documents (also confirmed with representative - name available and actual email correspondence is saved). Agent keeps telling there is no problem and I should receive a check and I have not received the check. I have been following up since beginning of February, recently tried reaching out to supervisor Mr. ** multiple times and no response or has never answered the phone. I have confirmation that they received the documentation on 19-Dec-2017. My complaint is that they haven't refunded the amount they owe me per the contract terms. It seems it has happened to lot of consumers. Not sure how many consumers just gave up on their $2K and the company just made some unethical money from them!

I originally order extended auto service, extended coverage in January 26, 2018, with a down payment for $99.00. However, after receiving the contract registration booklet, I decided to call and cancel my coverage on February 13, 2018. I was told that I would have my refund credited to my account within 10 days. Per the contract terms on page 10 of their booklet it states: Cancellation requests received within the first thirty (30) days will received a full refund, less any approved claim amounts. I called back on Tuesday, February 27th, and the CSR answering the phone transferred me to voicemail. I left a message requesting a callback. No response. On Thursday, March 1st, going through their audio response system, press the options to get transferred for cancellation and left another message. No response.

On Friday, March 2nd, called the Service Contract Administration found on page 12 of AA Auto Protection Contract booklet, only to be told that the contract was NOT yet canceled and was still active. On Monday, March 5th, called again, this time getting a young lady who told me that my account was canceled and was going to transferred my call to her boss. He had told me that a credit had been issued previously, and he would e-mail me documentation to give my back regarding this transaction. However, when I did get his e-mail, the credit issued for the full amount of $99.00 was dated March 5, 2018, the date of his email. These people do not response to voicemail or email when left with them. Totally disgusted with this poor customer service and glad I have canceled my account.

Purchased a car. At 2 weeks later purchase their warranty. Had two issues with a car and they refuse to pay both claims. They say due to wear. There I was purchased with a hundred thousand miles. Any car with 100000 miles has wear and tear. I only had the car prior two weeks of the warranty. They tried to sell you some nonsense on the phone about wear and tear which makes absolutely no sense. This is the absolute worst company I've ever dealt with in my life. I went by Consumer Affairs and that's why I bought the warranty. What a mistake. I will do whatever I take to give them bad reviews. I purchase a warranty for peace of mind not a headache.

I even have a recorded conversation of the gentleman who sold me the warranty telling me, "All you have to do is going to a dealership show them your warranty card and we will call up and pay them with our credit card." That did not happen not even one time. I want people to be aware of this company because all they do is take people's money and no further I will be posting ads everywhere about this company. I've never dealt with anybody like this ever in my life. By the way one star is too much.

We subscribed to the AA Auto Protection Service. A situation arose in which we had to cancel the service within the 30 days. We spoke with Diana and she and her supervisor were very prompt in getting us our refund. They truly are a good and reputable company to deal with. Once our financial situation is where we want it, we plan on picking back up the plan. Thanks AA Auto Protection, we will be back and will also recommend you to our friends.

They are available when they need to sell you their warranty. But getting no help when it's time to cancel and receive my refund. I cancelled my policy 30 days after I got it, and been waiting for 5 months.
