Received Directv through signing up with TDS. Within days, I cancelled TDS, yet charges continued from Directv. Attempted to sign in to account receiving "We can't find the email address". Tried alternate email. Same response. Another try resulted in "Let's try this instead" message stating to use account number. That attempt resulted in "The info you provided doesn't match our records". Stumped. Had to contact bank to block payments and cancel debit card. They apparently have no account or record of me, yet charges continue.

I have been with DirecTV for years and I LOVE it!! I am a huge sports fan, so I have to have the sports package. I am a single mom and have a kid in college. I am trying to cut back wherever I can without giving up my simple pleasures, like Directv. I spoke with Dave in Boise and he was FABULOUS and made it all right! He deserve a raise and your company is very fortunate to have someone like Dave on the other side of the customer. THANK YOU, Dave!!!

I first want to say I've tried pretty much every combination of App that will give me everything from sports, entertainment, and comedy and so forth! I would have to say I'm pretty happy with what they have to offer. I'm single, so I really don't do a whole lot of anything else love sports, especially! I do have previously 3 recommendations bring back FOX please add well get more rugby matches as well, NRL, AFL, 6 Nations, 15's and 7's men's and woman's! A lot of my friends watch as well. I would pay a few extra bucks for the channels!

We recently switched to DirectTV mainly because we are getting a new roof and the dish will void the warranty. We considered what was available to us. I was not impressed with the lineup only because my favorite programs were not included. Please consider adding Real America’s Voice (RAV) to your lineup. If you would have included this channel there would have been no hesitation for our choice and also for my conservative friends who occasionally search for a new provider. RAV has Steve Bannon, still carries The Charlie Kirk Show, Turning Point events, President Trump's speeches, Jack Posobic, so many other patriots, all fighting to ward off communism. OAN would also be a good choice. Please consider more conservative programming to spread the word and save our Republic for future generations. Thank you. Mary

I have been a DirecTV customer for more than 30 years and one of their so‑called VIP members. I contacted DirecTV on October 16, 2026, to cancel my service after it stopped working on the evening of October 15. The screen is completely black, and the satellite is no longer sending a signal to the receiver. With lower‑cost streaming options available, I no longer wish to continue the service.

I had DirecTV for over 20 years and this last year was a nightmare! I was moving and cancelled my service, and they went out of their minds! Said everything to get me to keep them but where I was moving, DirecTV was not in the area. In my last 30 days, my reception was horrible, lost channels & my equipment went haywire. What a coincidence, but I think it was on purpose. THEN they kept charging my credit card for the next month even though I cancelled!!! Took me over 2 months to get it back! Customer service was horrid!!! Put me on hold, then they hung up. I HATE THIS PROVIDER!!! I will NEVER return to this uncaring company! Bottom of the list for sure!!!

Don't get stuck in the cycle! This company is the WORST!!! $200 a month for CONSTANT "waiting on satellite signal" multiple times a day, don't plan on watching a movie or program all the way through you are gonna miss a good portion of it. They installed wireless relievers and has been this way for a year! Try to get it resolved good luck!

I've been a customer of Directv for the past 10 years. I was advised by Directv AI to cancel my service so that I could change to a Genre pact, because they didn't have the capability to do a service change. I did that but now I'm unable to establish service now because I'm guessing Directv is doing a credit check and all of my credit services are frozen around. I guess I'll be a customer of Verizon FIOS.

The contract dispute concerning the Carolina Hurricanes network is ridiculous!! I have been a loyal Directv customer for years. I've never had any complaint with them. But, this situation hits hard. I'm a housebound and disabled old lady whose one enjoyment in life is watching my hockey games. Please get things worked out soon because the issue affects lots of people you don't think about. Every year I sign up for the top package and still miss games after told that is what I need. Every year I sign up for other sports channels to make sure I get the games I need. Every year I am on the phone with DIRECTV for an ungodly amount of time only to not receive what I thought I signed up for. I am so sick of this company.

Have been with the company multiple years. They have a new AI phone agent that couldn't understand how to make an over the phone payment. I went online to make a payment and they charged my bank account 5 TIMES for a $110 payment. Called to complain and they said it would be resolved in a couple weeks. Called back in 2 weeks then they said 30 days. Called after 30 days now they say another 21 days. This is unacceptable 😠 😡 and have canceled my service and now have Spectrum. Who knows if I will ever get my refund. I would not recommend DIRECTV to ANYONE!

Horrible service, apps that barely work, recording system that randomly deletes recordings and prematurely ends recordings, and customer service people who have NO idea what they are doing. Then they jack up their prices, but can't even provide the basic service they promised. GOOD RIDDANCE, hello Dish Network.

Reasonably good streaming. A lot of channels but only a few that are of interest to me. The initial “promotional” pricing is okay but then there are constant increases over time. My current monthly rate is now almost twice what it was initially. My biggest complaint (and the reason for a low rating) is that it is extremely difficult to cancel the service.

I have been a DirecTV customer for approximately 6 weeks. Previously a customer for 15 years. The initial order was for satellite TV. I was delivered a Gemini which worked with the satellite dish. When I started to record a show, I received a message "hard drive malfunction". Contacted DTv. Replacement sent. Installed new/replacement equipment. Followed installation instructions. Wouldn't work. Contacted DTv tech support. They couldn't get it to work. Found out that I had been sold/Installed the wrong equipment. A service tech would have to be sent out in 6 days.

After cancelling our contract with DIRECTV we were asked to return our equipment. This was done the next day in August. At the end of September with no warning we were charged $131 dollars for failure to return the equipment. After checking Fed Ex, it was received by DIRECTV in August. We spoke with customer service and they said they would refund us $100??!!! They then agreed to refund the $131 as it was their mistake. After checking our email they’d only refunded $100. We eventually got the $131 but the amateur way our complaint was handled after they took money from our account without reason is appalling. AVOID!!!

Worst service ever. Do not use Directv streaming service. They raise your bill when they want. They do not want to refund your money. Their streaming service ever save your money; my bill went from $$114 to 140 and now $230 without notification. Worst company ever.

I have been a customer for years. Every year the price jumps almost 5 dollars. We can't even watch a movie. They don't care about the elderly. We are on fixed income and this is the only entertainment we have. I feel they are taking away and taking advantage of the elderly. They should be ashamed. They also supposedly give you free channels for so many months but they are not free. They charge for these channels also. Used to like Directv, but not so much anymore and I would not recommend them as a good company.

Please listen to me on my review. Do not do business with DIRECTV. Had them for 20 years until cancelling today. Then they told me we owed $360 cancellation fee because we committed to a 24 month renewal in May of this year. They say because we request a replacement Genie Mini to replace one that quit working. This was not mentioned at all when we requested replacement. Reason we were cancelling the monthly bill went up $40 just for their Select package which is terrible. We got Hulu 3 months ago and decided it has much more to choose from and no rain or weather outages. 20 years as a DirecTV customer doesn't mean crap except how stupid I was for staying with them. There are now a lot of streaming services available now much better and cheaper. Also went to Starlink 3 months ago and it is great WiFi and great for steaming. No cable or fiber optics available where we live. Please stay away from DirecTV.

Where do I start? First the technician that came to our home to set up our DIRECTV satellite and he had no clue what he was doing. Our signal was not good and the DIRECTV was very slow to respond to any channels. Then we had a lightning strike across the street from us and it fried our HDMI port on our tv and the box. Found out the guy that set up our dish didn’t ground the dish that cause our HDMI port to no long work on our new tv and the box as well. Mind you our TV was not on and connected to a surge protector. DirecTV sent an another box and said that they wouldn’t do anything about the issue because it is an act of nature. This is such nonsense when the technician didn’t set up a ground wire this wouldn’t have happened. Then the box they sent wouldn’t not work.

I cancelled my subscription with DirecTV on 08/31/2026. I was going through my checking account and noticed that DirecTV charged me for another full month. I called them and explained to them what happened. They told me that the billing cycle runs from the 15th to the 15th and my subscription will end 09/15/2026. I told them I canceled my service on 08/31/2026 and they stated that their billing cycle and overrides my cancelation. I then stated they are stealing from me because I cancelled on the 15th and they are not going to refund my money because of their billing. How many other customers got ripped off this way, how long has this been going on; I think DIRECTV owes me half of my bill and all of the other customers that they did this to, in my mind DirecTV made millions of dollars ripping off their customers with their billing practices. I have had Directv for 22 years. I started to pay for my mother's due to her being unable to write a check (her hands shake so bad). I put her account number on her payment and our account number on our payment. I get a bill saying there is a $400 credit and I don’t owe anything. So today I get a text message saying our bill is overdue, needless to say that I needed an interpreter to understand what the person was saying, got frustrated and told them to just cancel my account. Finally talked to a woman who spoke English and she tried to help me, but in the end still I was asked to pay $400. I said absolutely not going to happen, come and get your dish off my roof. So I guess I will get housework done due to not being able to watch tv. This company is horrible and I hope they go out of business soon.

I am a older adult. We are not acustom to this new must do auto pay world. When we travel, we always always always pay our monthly bills ahead, clear our financials so we do not have a thing to worry about just in case we run into any trouble on the road. Would you believe that this company will not accept an early payment??? They absolutely cannot take money from you to pay your bill before the auto debit. That is insane! What company anywhere says to their customers, "I'm sorry your money is no good here!"

My experience with DirecTV was bad. The fees charged were always more than was quoted and I asked for the cost including all fees. The channel lineup is disappointing...too many rerun channels. When I moved to live with my daughter they charged me for the remaining months even though I wasn't moving to a place where I could transfer service. The worst of all, though, was that they charged me $260.00 for equipment saying I didn't return it. It was returned and returned on time. It is an awful company to do business with.

We were DirecTV customers for over 20 years. Their prices have consistently gone up so we decided to go to Dish. Our package with Dish (which is comparable to our DirecTV package) is $80.00/mth less and guaranteed for the length of our 2 year contract. Even without the new customer discount, the package is still $60.00/mth less than DirecTV. Our picture quality is also MUCH better. We also receive a veterans discount, an upgraded receiver for the price of the standard receiver and do NOT have to pay for a regional sports package that we never watched like we had to with DirecTV.

Beware when canceling DirecTV. You have to cancel BOTH the equipment usage & send it back, then the streaming service and keep proof of everything. They continued to automatically bill us for two years after we cancelled our service & blamed us for not catching it (yep we’re seniors) but also for not know we had to cancel the streaming which was not used after 2024 according to their own computer data. They then said they never received the equipment back & since I couldn’t produce the mail in receipt they debited our account $120.00…. America wake up. This is a terrible place of business & it’s obviously a sinking ship.

It's nice to have for the maybe 8 channels I use other than record some educational shows I miss.. It's a shame though I have to pay for hundreds I don't use and can't stand. Especially the woke agenda. Humans don't like to be force fed naturally, why would we want to be forced to pay for just that too?? It's getting old. People normally want happy, good health an smarter things to do an follow. WHEN WANTED. It's a shame when the few try to control or destroy the rest. Clean up your act DIRECTV or you'll be right back at the drawing board again or hanging it up..

Of all the streaming services, Directv is the worst. It doesn't carry a 2.5 rating for nothing. At least once a week I have to uninstall and then reinstall the service. I keep losing the information about the stations so I have no idea what on tv. I would change providers except for the fact that no other streaming service carries what I want. It doesn't do any good to call tech service because all they want to do is blame the internet or the tv itself. If another provider carries what you want, go with them even if it's a little more costly.

Informational misdirection, on pricing and dates of payment, complete scam, shitty customer service, complete bullshit, lies and scam, garbage. Will never use this company again based on poor business practices and customer services, of lack of...

DIRECTV is HORRIBLE. Two different prices are presented to you. If you receive the paper statement, the price will be completely different from the online statement. I usually pay the amount on the online statement; however, they add the additional charges shown on the paper statement to your next month's bill. However, the amount shown on the paper statement is the actual amount, but since customers are unable to pay more than what is requested through paying by phone or online, which is less than the paper statement, the result is that they are charging you the balance from the previous month onto the new statement for the next month. SCAM. And they always add the amount for the next month from the paper statement. That policy has been in place for a long time.

My experience from install to the end of the first day of service has been nothing short of miserable. Nobody at DirecTV knows how to tell the truth, only tell you what you want to hear just to gain a customer but policies are completely different the very next day! Do not make the mistake to enter a contract with DirecTv

First let me say we've been with DirecTV for 19 years. 19 freaking years and they treat us with what can only be described as contempt. Their AI 'assistant' actually threatens to hang up on you if you don't answer quickly. Took 7 minutes to get thru to a person. They used to have a line specifically for LOYAL customers. Now they slobber after new customers and treat long term ones like dirt. I'm 70 and on a fixed income. I asked for a discount equal to what they are offering newbies. Nope, nothing. The supervisor was a word salad guy who just blathered on and on and did nothing to help me.

DirectTV has the worst customer service representative. She is trying to talk over me. When I'm looking at the package price online without a promotion. My package was $99 and I'm being charged $123.

Called to cancel service, was told that they could not cancel before the end of the billing cycle, of which there were still 2 weeks to go. So because the receiver has stopped connecting to the dish, I will have effectively been without service for 3 weeks before they cancel it and I will have paid for those 3 weeks as they will not issue a refund. I had also called previously to modify my channel availability because the ones offered were junk (ie.: infomercials) and I only watched the same 3 or 4 channels. They lowered the price, then after several month added another fee to bring it back to the previous rate. Completely dissatisfied.

I called the company to renew my service and was given a price. I asked if that number would be good for a year and was told yes. I even received an email confirmation. Then 2 weeks later I received an email noting my bill was $30 higher. I called and was told it was a computer glitch and there was nothing they could do about it. What terrible customer service and bait and switch actions.

My experience with DirecTV has been extremely disappointing, stressful, and most importantly deceptive. I had billing issues that resulted in charges I wasn't expecting, where I received an email from DirecTV stating that, because I am a loyal customer, they would waive the charges and it would be resolved on their end. I was a little hesitant, so I called DirecTV and spoke with a live representative to confirm that those charges would truly be dismissed and no late fees would be added on the next billing, and was told that I would receive a normal bill moving forward with no extra charges, which was a relief.

Company abused autopay. Continued charging monthly fees to our credit card after we closed our account and returned their box. We detected the problem after 5 months and had to get our credit card company to dispute charges for us.

This is an awful service. They split from ATT, said I signed a 6month contract. That is not true. I was never told they were splitting from att. I cannot speak to anyone I. Person. On the help line they just repeat the same thing. I am paying g more than at ATT I was never told. The web site will not work for me. Cannot pay bill. But they sure email when it is not paid. Please never get this terrible service. I feel I am being held hostage. I can cancel the 6months contract I did not sign with them for $100. RIP OFF ARTIST.

Directv removed Alexa integration about a year ago. WHY. They want you to use Google assist not Alexa. Who's getting paid what by whom?

In May I called DirecTV to renew our subscription and see what plans were available. We are in our 80's and on fixed income so looking to continue with reasonable pricing. We only ever get the basic TV package (no movie channels, don't care about sports, etc). Was told as a "promotion" they could offer movie packages (HBO, MAX, etc.) free for 3 months and if I did not want to continue, just call before that time and cancel. I called after 2 months to cancel. Just received my bill and was charged $29.44 for the package that was supposed to be promotional free. Told there is no record of this free 3 months and could not remove it from my bill. AT&T bills seem to fluctuate monthly - never the same and always an excuse why bill is different. Had enough. Looking for alternate TV services.

Garbage television. The technical bureaucracy is mind boggling. Just turning on a TV can actually take hours. It's always something they need to fix on their end. Idiotic website is like children are running it.
