We bought a new 50” Vizio at Walmart on sale but I wish we would’ve stuck with Fire. Initially, it’s long and irritating to set-up. It wants to know where the TV is located in your house… creepy! You can lie, but I have a feeling it knows... Once we hooked-up a game console to the HDMI, it began a series of strobe-light blinking at the bottom left corner when turned off within the first month of use. (Super fun when you’re lying in bed trying to sleep! I usually give the finger.) Within the next few months, it has automatically logged us out. Since I haven’t had the desire to log back in, whenever I change antenna channels, the TV gives the old orange-yellow swirl and I have to restart the TV every time!
Now it’s beginning to have issues with any app switch and we are forced to restart. I refuse to log back in to the POS to see if the issue will resolve itself. We are under warranty but after reading about a 10% restock fee and seeing other reviews, we won’t bother with AI and rude customer service. We won’t be buying another Vizio.

BEWARE! I called Vizio when a message came up on my TV to setup. The person did set up the registration. But then called back and said I had fraudulent activity on my credit card and had to get into my account to clear it up. She then proceeded to charge thousands of dollars on my credit card ordering gift cards from Uber. I have no problem with the TV. It works great and has a great picture. But Vizio needs to check out their technicians.

I have only had this set for a year, but will never buy Vizio again.

We purchased an ONN Vizio 43" Smart TV. When we took it out of the box we noticed how small it appeared therefore we measured it and it measured at 37" and the box itself measured at 42". That is false advertisement. We called Vizio and they told us "it measures at 42.5 diagonally and that this phone call wouldn't change anything." The customer service agent Holly proceeded to tell us "that other manufacturers do the same thing and have long before Vizio". I then asked if that makes it ok for Vizio to jump on the bandwagon and she said "Yes". I then asked her who watches TV on a diagonal? She then said she "had to get back to work" As if we were a bother. We will NEVER purchase from Vizio again. Unprofessional and Untrustworthy.

Do not waste your time with Vizio now that they’ve been purchased by Walmart. The quality of the processor is so low you’ll need to buy an external box to use “the smart tv features” as the Vizio home does not work well at all. It cannot process videos well at all leading to frequent freezing and buffering issues. I just bought this tv in May 2026, and here it is September 2026, and I’m throwing the thing in the trash. Consider literally any other tv company.

Vizio has significantly declined as a quality product since its recent ownership acquisition by Walmart. I have had several Vizio television sets over the past 20 years and have always been happy with the picture quality and longevity of the product until I purchased my current 75" Vizio purchased at Sam's Club. It has been the most frustrating electronic item I have ever owned. The unit will just arbitrarily shut down and restart for no reason. It will take 2 or 3 times to actually turn on sometimes. The power indicator will just flash sometimes when attempting to turn it on.
The unit does not do well with any ambient light and it difficult to watch during highly lit areas even with changes to the video settings. I also have an older 43" Vizio that we have owned for over 10 years and I have never had any problems with it. I will NEVER own a Vizio TV as long as Walmart has an ownership interest in the product line and cannot wait to replace this one with another 'working' brand.

Purchased a Vizio M65q6-L-4 from Walmart. Worked great for 6 months or so until recently. Keeps dropping the network connection either using wired or WIFI. Contacted Vizio using the text feature with hopes of resolving the issue. After 3 days with them. Vizio support finally stated that it was an internet provider issue. I told them that I have 5 other Tv's in the house that work fine and one being a Vizio. When it worked earlier, the picture is very good and would have been great for the price if it had worked longer than 6 months. Vizio case # **. 4th and last Vizio TV for me.

Most frustrating venture ever. Was looking for a basic TV. After initial sign-on screens Vizio actually locks you out with no way of getting back until you sell your soul and set up account numbers, personal approval to link other personal accounts, and use Walmart services for support. What on earth???

I really wish I could gove NO STARS. What a pile of junk. Bad picture, terrible connectivity. Super slow. Shows only a black or white screen when TV is on. Can't even watch it. G A R B A G E. What a collosal waste of money. Huge mistake. Buy anything but a VIZIO. Save yourself the time, money, and aggrevation of getting this expensive paperweight. So upset with myself that my choices have lead me to having such a POS in my home. The only thing a VIZIO is worth is target practice from close range with a Bazooka. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE ME, AND EVERY OTHER OTHER VIZIO OWNER HAS DONE... PURCHASE A VIZIO!!!

After having a long conversation and an issue with Vizio, I'm telling them that I wasn't even given the option to have the extended warranty for their crappy ass TV. The hardware went out in the TV. And they made it out to be my fault and told me there was nothing they could do, and then double back and said, well, we can give you an $80 Rebate towards another 50 inch TV. Like people have money just to throw away at a TV. Come on, get real either. Make that $80 go for any of your product or don't offer anything at all. It's just a spit in the face that your product goes out just after the warranty and there's nothing you guys can do about it. Yeah, if there was a zero star, that's exactly what I'd put. You made it out to where I was a problem. And I continue to have issues with your products. Well now I do!

I was just about to buy a 55" Vizio on sale at Walmart for $248. My previous 55" Vizio I bought used 3 years ago and has developed the same issues others report here: cycles on and off, shuts down when a streaming program is selected, displays only small rectangle with vertical stripes, etc. It turns out that the problem is crappy soldering on the main board. The board has little balls of solder to which discrete components are soldered. After a few hundred cycles of on/off, the expansion from the heat generated when on, and the contraction from rapid cooling when the TV is turned off, eventually cracks the little solder balls. For a while, you can get it to work by unplugging for a minute, or going into settings, system information, scrolling to bottom and clicking system reset. That clears the microprocessor. But this method eventually stops working as the solder issue gets worse.
Now, I read here about the hidden "activation" charge, forced use of proprietary Video app to watch OTA stations rather than using an antenna, incomprehensible remotes (or missing remotes Vizio wants to make you pay for in order to get), flimsy legs. glitchy streaming, excessive buffering, rotten customer service, etc, etc. I'm sure glad I stopped by here. I'm on a fixed income.

Press again and the highlight moves through 3 icons, and on and on. Keep away from this product for your own good! Why did Amazon sell over a thousand Viso remotes in a month. I bought a Vizio TV last December, and it broke down in March—just after the three-month return period had expired. I contacted the manufacturer directly, but they claimed there was damage to the lower-left corner of the screen and therefore refused to repair or replace it. I don’t recall damaging the TV at all, and even if it had received a minor bump, a television screen should not be this fragile. When I was growing up, my parents could buy a Sony or Panasonic TV and use it for decades. This Vizio TV lasted only three months. In my opinion, this brand lacks both professional integrity and a commitment to quality craftsmanship. The company deserves to go out of business. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this garbage brand—you’re much better off spending a little more on a properly made television.

The second is my 65", model M65Q6L4. This TV is 1 yr 4 months old, it's in our main living room. This TV won't turn on at all unless you unplug it, plug it back in and then it turns on like normal. Our Vizio tv just stopped working several months after we got it. We put in a complaint but by the hours it took to do that it just started working again. Several months later same problem. Would turn on briefly then turn off, we put in a complaint and a guy came and replaced the motherboard. Worked for another couple months and then I dropped the remote control on the floor and it just shut off the TV and again wouldn't turn on. Not a battery issue etc. You press the power button on the actual TV and it will turn on for about 30 seconds but not respond to the remote. If I could give less than a star, in fact if I could give negative stars I sure would because this company and its outsourced customer service is beyond awful. I bought a new 65 inch TV. Unboxed it and it did not have any screws for the legs stand. I called Vizio to figure out the size and after speaking with an incomprehensible AI I was transfered to a customer service rep who, barely audible or intelligible told me a size of the screw and it was available at any hardware store. I searched and found no screw matching what he told me. Made a guess and when those did work I called back and another customer service rep gave me a different size and then backtracked.
When I questioned why the other guy gave me a different size. He then put me on hold. Searched Walmart and directed me to go to their site and search for doorbell security camera screws. Weird. I thought I bought a TV. The Walmart in my town doesn't have them in stock so my only option is to order those and wait 10 days. Ten days to use a Smart TV because of 4 screws. I asked him to just send me 4 screws and he said they couldn't do that. I didn't choose violence so I hung up and wrote this review as a catharsis for me and a warning for whomever reads this.
