Anthony ** wrote me a check; my sister Patricia ** brought the check to me. (He burnt my carpet) He did not have any intention on paying. His daughter told him how your company would go after me and not him, so they knew it would fall back on me. I was in your Ace store on 38th and Emerson. And the cashier kept my check and said I had to pay for the check Anthony Lawrence wrote. I really didn't have a problem. She thought it was funny; train these people or stop payday loans. All people don't know this system and that is to write bsd check and it won't fall on you.How can you all think everybody needs this?
Consumer Complaints & Reviews

The company seemed like a really good company when they're sending you money, but they do not update payments in an orderly manner. As a consumer, I take these ethics personally because they basically stated that I do not pay my bills, when in essence, they withdrew the money from my account. ACE is a popular name to consumers, but just because you're popular does not mean that you're the best. Unfortunately, I had to take out loans because the property that I am renting was foreclosed. I know that this may not be the best choice. It was fast and this would have been my last, because once you use these loans, you cant' stop unless you have a plan.
On November 2, 2011, I attempted to get a loan from intern-acecashexpress.com. I had tried before but no applications had been processed (this was confirmed with one of your customer reps from 866-355-6815 at 7:08 PM Eastern). She stated that not one of the applications went through, so she told me to try later. I tried later--the first application stopped during the idling of approval, and the second application came up at the four policy documents (arbitration, policy, contract, etc.) which you had to accept.
After reading the last document (contract; amount of loan, my name, and personal info, terms of paying back loan, interest and fees charged, along with the statement "you did not payback your previous loan"), I declined contract and a statement appeared saying that the loan was declined. When I went to make a copy, everything disappeared. I hope that this is not your company's way of doing things. I have a bank statement stating that you, guys, already processed the payment in full. I am hoping this is just a fluke, but just in case, I am informing you once again: do not process this loan to go into my account and you do not have the permission to take anything else out of my accounts that you have on file.
I would rather not do business with a company that does not have their business ethics in place for the consumer. I found it quite offensive for your system to tell me I had not paid my loan off. I am requesting documentation that the loan amount of $356.38 is already paid in full. If I do not receive this soon, I will be forced to take further actions. Thank you!

I got a threatening phone call from this company saying that I owe $545 for a loan that I never got. He threatened me with my job, my SS card and my bank saying that we were going to court if I didn't pay. I sent them $200 so far and I shouldn't pay any more. I did not receive the money and I have bank statement to prove it. I just want this to stop. I don't owe them the money and I shouldn't pay. I need your help. I am so stressed out and had numerous pains in my heart. I had to go to the hospital and to a heart specialist. I need help very badly.

This is the 3rd time I've received a threatening call from some foreign guy threatening to throw me in jail for non-payment of a payday loan from Ace Cash Services. I've never taken a loan from this company. I don't know how they've gotten my name. He is rude, and says "Good luck in jail" etc. I don't know where he got my name or my cell phone number. I've reported my experience to the Better Business Bureau as well as to the State of Iowa.

Without authorization, these crooks put $300 in my bank account, then took $100 bi-weekly. I caught it right away and the bank is now doing an investigation because I have overdrafts of $284.00. I have gone to IC3.gov, Social Services, FBI, local sheriff's office, Federal Trade Commission, and all of credit bureaus (Equifax, TransUnion and Experian) telling and alerting them. I called all my credit cards and alerted them. I harass Ace everyday! They cannot harass me. I always tell them, "Sue me, then I will sue you!" Do not let them get you down. Tell them if they harass you, "I am recording this."

Unauthorized money of $350 was put in my account without my knowledge. We did not understand until overdrafts from our bank appeared. We immediately went to the bank. There were several businesses--Ace Cash Services, Advantage Cash services, Direct benefits, and others MCQ. We are on a small pension and know what is going in and out because we check daily. The bank had to tell us who it was and they found at that time it was Ace Cash or Advantage. They gave me the number and I stated, "Never would I sign a term that is $105.00 every two weeks for 30%." I walked away from such a scam.
I am an economist--it did me good when dealing with criminals. In order to get information, I gave them information my Social, my phone, and my routing number. They target the ones that they believe are indigent or desperate. I own my home (no mortgage) so I was looking for a larger loan but not with these scammers. I left the site but they have all my information. Yes I was stupid but my wife is ill and though we have insurance, it still costs us hundreds of dollars every month for medicine.
So anyone can find themselves desperate but never did I sign, receive forms, or electronically give my permission to give me money. I have alerted the media, state attorney office, the FBI, IC3.gov. federal trade commission, an attorney, local sheriff in hopes to destroy the crooks who steal from one's private accounts. These are not loan companies; they are sharks. Please do not let desperation motivate you to even inquire. Never give out information. Also, alert your credit reports to the scam and Social Security.
I realize that in our economic times, this makes us all vulnerable. But do not let fear cloud your judgement like I did by giving out information just to get information. You can walk away but they have all your information. They sell it to others. I intend to fight! I suggest you do the same. If you need help, I would be glad to help you. Maybe a class action suit would put them out of business.

I received a loan; I let the person know that I was changing banks and they went ahead and deposited the old check. And now they are calling everyone and my apartment giving them my information. I don't even know how they got those people's numbers and they want stop calling. I don't approve of their giving my information out to anyone but me. And I will be doing something about it.

I took out an Ace Cash loan and paid it all back, but they continued to deduct money out of my account so I closed the account. They continually call me at work and my cell and they harass me and threaten me and my co-workers. I sent them a proof of repayment and a letter stating that they are not licensed in Louisiana from the State Attorney General's office and they still call and harass me. I work in a hospital and they cannot continue to call that number for it's detrimental to people's lives. I told them this and they don't care! Please, help me get them off my back!

I was looking for payday advance companies and found two that I felt was safe. Turns out that there was a third company that deposited $350.00 into my account! I never gave them permission to deposit money into my account! I never signed a contract with them! Now, they tried to withdraw $105.00 which bounced so a string of overdraft fees occurred!

I was looking into information about payday loans. I was checking my checking account the next morning, and lo and behold, Ace Cash dropped into my checking account a deposit that I never signed for and didn't agree to. I talked to no one about, so I am closing my checking account ASAP and getting a new one right away. I am telling the bank under no circumstances to debit nor credit anything from this company at all, that they are hackers and frauds.

Ace Cash Services either utilizes out of country resources to collect on their accounts, or sells them to a debt buyer. Quite possible that you would be contacted by several entities trying to collect on the same payday loan. I reported several payday lenders and collectors to the FTC and my state financial regulatory agency who advised that they are conducting investigations on them.
Payday lending is illegal in my state. Check your state laws. Many states require collectors to also be licensed in that state. I have had several rude individuals, usually foreign, contact me for Ace. They usually hang up on me and have cussed me several times. They make excessive calls to your employer. Please let your employer know you are being harassed by an illegal collector, and that you have advised them not to contact you at work. I finally received an email that basically admits to the harassing calls, and states that all I have to do to stop them is make a payment. Not gonna happen. See them in court is what I tell them, but they'll never go to court here.

I did an Ace Cash Advance. I have never paid late and I have never had problems until now. I have been receiving harassing phone calls at work and on my cell phone from a foreign speaking gentlemen, stating his name is Marvin ** and that he was calling me about Ace Cash Advance. He is calling from telephone numbers according to caller id is 512-729-4221 in which stays a busy number and two numbers that show weird no area code-209-0008 and a weird # 052-540-068. These are how they show.
He is very rude and he now left me a message on my voice mail stating good luck a sheriff would be at my door on Tuesday and he wishes my children luck. He has now threatened my kids and I don't have any bad debt with this company. I called Ace Cash and she stated that someone has stolen info from their database and that to give her the info and she would pass it to an investigator. She told me to contact the three credit bureaus and place a fraud alert on my credit , in which I have done so. But this man is very threatening and will not leave me alone. He threaten my children, I draw the line there. I am terrified and don't know what to do. Please help me.

This company is fraudulent, a scam! It sounds like they pull the same stunt with most people, because as I read in other complaints, the same exact situation happened to me! They deposited $350 into my checking acct. Unsolicited by me, as all I was doing was checking various sites in contemplation of borrowing. They told me that I had checked the box to agree to the deposit and agree to the contract. I have never received a contract, I did not approve the loan, I did not say that they could withdraw any funds bi-weekly on Fridays, and they deposited the money one day before my regular paycheck was to be deposited, therefore no need for a payday loan! Thieves, scam artists, rude and poor customer service representatives...Do not get tricked into this scam!

The calls began coming about six months ago. Instantly upon answering the call, they barraged me with threats of "a sheriff's officer coming to my front door at 11:00 AM to handcuff me and take me straight to the judge unless I come up with $300." After acquiring the company name and source of call, whomever is on the other line (who speaks extremely broken English and shouts into the phone) informs me that, that is none of my business and to take it up with the judge. None of my business? Then, further threatens that the "judge" will take my job and any other assets that I have.
Once I actually got "Alex **" to explain to me what the call was about, he sternly, I might add, informs me that I accepted a loan over the Internet and had not paid it back. I asked him when this supposedly happened and instead of giving me a date, he yells, "Oh, you know when." I require further what amount was the supposed loan for. Again, "Oh, you know that." When I convinced him that I do not, suddenly, it goes from $300 to $750. While I have this person on the phone, I am in my banking account online researching any deposit matching these specific amounts from any company.
I received one lump payment sometime during the first week of each month. That is the sole deposit--ever. I went back one year and there had been no such deposit. Upon informing "Alex" of this again, I get yelled at, "Well, you will have to take this up with the judge." When I requested for an actual written proof of said loan and interest thus far attained, I am either hung up on or yelled with further threats.
One last thing, in one of these calls, a "Robin" started out with the usual threats. Then, he began flirting with me. The amount due went from $750 to $400. The,n he asked if he could call me back in 10 minutes. To see this out, I told him yes. Sure enough, he calls back. It is much quieter in the background. He begins to illicit phone sex from me in exchange for what I owe the company and that "he will take care of everything, if only ...." Isn't that against the law? The only consequence so far is putting up with the harassing phone calls and empty threats.
What scares the ** out of me is that these people have my Social Security number. I have told them on numerous occasions that that is incorrect but still--what is this going to do to my credit report?

I tried to make arrangements for smaller payments, but they refused. I was told if I did not pay the full amount of the loan then I couldn't get another loan. The phone number I was given was 972- ext. 7722. This woman called again and said they would have to do something else about the account which would lead to more problems for me. She mentioned legal actions they would take to get their money. This is not the first loan I have had with them. I know I have paid outrages fees, but when your back is against the wall and you have to pay bills and banks will not help you. Right now due to these payday loans my bank account is overdrawn. I don't have any money for my utilities or food. It is affecting my physical health. I would like to be able to get help from a consumer credit counselor and see if I can get out of this mess.

I was a victim of Phishing the last week of January. Several companies stole from my checking account. The main culprit was Ace Cash Services! I was online looking into a small payday loan after the Holiday (last week of December) as a catch-up. I started filling out an application at acecashservices.com but the minute I entered my bank account information, I was re-routed to another site, and another site and another site... page after page of companies and offers. I was never given the opportunity of an electronic signature or terms of agreement.
December 31st, Ace Cash Services deposited $350.00 into my checking account. We were out of town and did not return until 1/08/10. Apparently they send an email to you and if you do not respond with cancellation within three days, you are out of luck (per Lindsey when I called them...by the way you are not allowed to speak with a manager and she would give me no information about the owner!). Ace Cash Services withdrew $105.00 on 1/08/10, 1/22/10, 2/05/10, 2/19/10 and thinking this was the end of it and the thieves were paid off... was very relieved!
I looked at statement online this past Friday. Ace Cash Services withdrew $105.00 again on 3/05 along with another $50.00 and on 3/19/10 they again withdrew another $90.00 and $50.00! I am sick! They stole $365.00 above and beyond the loan amount and will keep going. My bank said if I block them, they may just try on other days of the week! They are stealing from me. The entire amount they have taken now is $715.00!
I spoke with Lindsey at Ace Cash Services and she told me today that the first four payments of $105.00 were payments for a privilege to be able to put off my payments on the "principal" of the "loan" an additional payday! What? I am still not allowed to speak to a manager and when I asked repeatedly and nicely, she said they would determine if she had given me all of the correct information and if so, the manager would probably not call me back! How do people like this sleep at night and live with themselves? They must lay awake at night wondering whose mouth they have stolen food from or who can't now pay their heat bill. I want my money back and now!
I have three children and the amount that Ace Cash Advance has stolen from me would almost pay for groceries for a month, it would pay for gasoline for two months. Everyone in my household was sick in February and we had been to the doctor nine times total... co-pays and chest x-rays totaling almost the amount that Ace Cash Services stole from us! I have been on the phone and online trying to resolve this for several hours. Going to my bank to dispute. This has eaten up hours of time and been an incredible stress in our lives knowing that there are people out there like this!

I advised him that I could not pay all at once can I make arrangements to pay. He then told me very threatening, "I hope you don't pay so I can file your case," then he asked me can you pay this with another party on the other line. I told him, "No, I couldn't pay this all at once." He then told me, "Why did you get a loan if you knew you couldn't pay so you intentionally wrote a bad check?" He said he recorded me. He turned my words all around and made out to be a liar. I'm very angry. I told him three times not to call my job. He then asked me if I was at work, I told him no he then put me on hold, and called my job to see if I was there.

At this point I requested not to be contacted to my place of employment reguarding financial personal matters. The indivisual became very agressive
stating that "at this point I had no right to make any type of requestes"
and also stated thatarranging a payment plan was no longer an option.
He stated that I needed to pay the fine in full or I would be refferd to the district attorneys office and that they would be contacting my employer to verify a "demographic stauts" reguarding my personal financial matters.

It is Ace Cash that is making threating calls to arrest me via this co. Number stated above but will not make arrangement with me.

I called a call this morning that i owed the company ace cash express and need to pay 563 today or the police were going to be calle. he said the same this good luck you bilie.
I told him i could pay 200 now and the rest by friday. he would not take the $200.
What do I do. Some please help me.

Called my place of employment to request money that I owe them for payday loan which I had took out last year sometime. He stated he was calling from CAC & Associates on behalf of Ace Cash Express. I requested paperwork and he said that he didn't have no paperwork to send to me. I felt very uncomfortable making any kind of arrangement with him as I googled where he said he was calling from.
Upon looking them up I found no such place existed nor could I find the number he was calling me from. At this point I felt very uncomfortable making any kind of payment arragement unless he provided paperwork, but he said that he couldn't give me paperwork. He said that he was just trying to collect a debt that I owed. He said that I would be contacted by an attorney if I could not make a payment arrangement now. In the past I have dealt with several other representives calling on behalf of Ace Cash Express saying they are attorneys and even law enforcement, but never specifing where exactly they were calling from.
They have made threatening phone calls here at my place of employment. I had one gentleman tell me that I would be arrested at my place of employment if I did not pay them. He even threatened me and said that if he had to he would contact the owner of the company I work for because he said if I can't get the money from you then I will make him aware of what's going on and you don't want that would you. I have asked them several times not to contact my place of employment and they do not care. They still call several times a day.
Frankly I am fed up with their threatening phone calls and just want to work out a payment arragement with them, but first I want paperwork which I have requested on several occasions to no avail. When I request payment arragements they say that they cannot do payment arragements that it has to be the amount in full or else. Frankly I am fed up with all of their run around and never giving me their true identity. Obviously Ace has either given collectors my info or it is indeed Ace trying to pose as Attorneys or law enforcement. At this point I don't know what to believe or how to go about paying the debt I owe with arrangements. I am definately not trying to get out of the money I owe Ace, but they do not have to put me through all of this.

I reported them to the FTC and to missouri attorney general office also. I have sent a Cease and Desist communication letter to them and I even faxed it to them. I just wish they harassing phone calls will end. They have caused a lot of stress for me and I have been worryong more about my finances. Even if they would garnish my check that would be fine. Im just tired of the phone calls.

I paid off my cash loans but someone keeps calling me from 714 598 4253 by the name of Blaine Johnson and said I owe this money and I have committed federal check fraud, theft of check by deception and stolen money for the State of Illinois, then I said you mean Idaho, he said yes. They have an affidavit filed and I owe $362.39 plus some thousands worth of fees. Funny thing, I have copies showing these accounts are paid in full and zero balance. They continually call my work but done tell me what it is for.

These people have called my job left messages for my manager with a case number. They no longer call my work phone but they called a different department at work wanting to speak to my manager saying I am doing fraud with my work computer because I have not been able to pay what I owe them. They did not have my new phone number. I don't know how they got it but I received a call from case manager Henderson saying I should call her before 3:00 p.m. pacific time or else she was going to move forward.

I got a payday loan from Ace Cash Express about 3 months ago (give or take a month). Soon after my wife went on maternity leave for our 4th child (and was to receive only 60% of her pay), and are only car broke down as well, so I was unable to pay it back.
Ace Cash Express began calling me at home, no big deal. I was polite with them although they were very rude, and said enjoy the money loser! before hanging up on multiple calls.
Then Ace decided to call my work. I am a supervisor of a night call center, and when they call there is no secretary at night so I pick up the phone when there is a call. So when Ace called at 4:30 PM (shortly after I had arrived) I explained that I cannot receive calls regarding this at work. The girl said she did not care, and would continue to call until I paid. I explained that that is against the law specifically the FDCPA and I asked for her name, and explained I would be contacting her supervisor, as well as, the attorney general, and a lawyer if they were to call my work again.
About a month or 2 passed before I received a letter from my boss's boss that stated he and numerous others at the company had received numerous calls from a Antwon Wills, and to please call him regarding a loan, and gave me all the details about my account (clearly against the law and the FDCPA). I immediately called Antwon who began yelling and lying stating he can call whoever he wants and that there is no law stating he cannot call my work regarding an investigation. I explained that even if you state it is an investigation it is still an attempt to collect a debt which by law has to be stated during each call, and since he knows not to call my work, which I again reiterated 3 additional times to him while he was on the phone, he is violating the FDCPA and I would be taking legal action if it did not stop immediately. He then went on with some additional lies which again violated the FDCPA stating they were working on putting a hold on my social security card, and driver's license, funny as this has not even been taken to court, and even it were to be taken to court no judge has the aiuthority to put a hold on someone's social security card for not paying a payday loan, duh. Iagain explained stop calling my work and he said F you I will do as I want, and hung up.
About 2 minutes later the same guy calls my cell phone stating he has my boss's boss on the phone (bear in mind my boss's boss was walking out the door as I am on the phone so I knew he was lying) and will I give him authorization to conference us together. I stated I told you already to stop calling my work as I cannot get calls there regarding these type of matters, and further I knew that he was lying because my boss's boss was walking out the door right now. He replied oh wait looks like the call just dropped....ok buddy.
Anyway my boss's boss asked me to take legal action against this company for harrasment and numerous violations of FDCPA. My boss, and my boss's boss both signed letters stating that they have on numerous occassions explained that I cannot get such calls at work as they are not allowed, but the same guy keeps calling anyway giving personal information out in hopes of harrassing me into paying which does not work. So I am going to be filing a complaint with the police tomorrow for phone harrassment, contacting a lawyer Monday, contacting the attorney general, the FTC, and will also be attempting to get a restraining order against both the company and the person since they are breaking federal law and harrassing me at work after being told by numerous people such calls are prohibited.
Everyone who has a problem with this company don't let them walk all over you. Record the conversations with a tape recorder by putting your phone on speaker phone and using a tape recorder to tape it. Then look up the laws reagrding the FDCPA and sue them for each violation. Eacg violation is worth $1,000 each plus damages, mental anguish, etc.
I was passed up for a promotion as a result of their repeated calls stating I was under investigation regarding a payday loan. I am planning on getting a lawyer Monday and taking legal action against this company...so see you in court after all, but I guess it will be on my terms. And P.S. Payday Loans are indeed illegal in Ohio so what you are doing is considered loan sharking, a federal offense.

I got a loan for 800 and when I could not pay back I renewed and paid to extend the lone 177 dollars every two weeks. None of that went to the loan and then I had to end the loan which ended up about 1700 dollars on an 800 dollar loan. interest is 618.29. This should really be against the law. Please band this type of loan everywhere. I see that a few states have already. This is called usery.
At the time when you get the money you are really desparate and in a bind so you sign your life away and in the end you are in worst shape financially. Also there are late fees involved. Please put a stop to this before someone commits suicide. people who are weak might not be able to pay back and handle the high fees, stress and harassment. The loans are so easy to get and hard to get out of
I am in worse shape now financially then ever before getting rid of this loan. They also called every day and left message on my job to someone elses voice mail. This is embarassing and cost me distress. This should be harassment when I had already spoken with someone to make payment arrangements. I have just be plained stress out and will never apply for another loan again no matter how bad it gets

This company has been constantly calling my home and place of employment in reference to a debt incurred with Ace Cash. They have been asked not to contact me at my place of employment and wrttien notification has been sent to Ace Cash Corporate Office requesting for this company to cease communication with me, to only contact me in writing. These calls have become harassing, abusive, and excessive.
