The company buys energy wholesale and stores it, then offers it to you at competitive, stable rates.

How does Santanna Energy Services work?
When you pick a Santanna Energy Services plan, the company coordinates the technical details with your local energy distribution company. Your energy distributor doesn’t change, and you still pay your distribution company directly. There should be no service disruptions or changes to the energy delivery process.
Santanna’s plans vary between states. In general, customers choose between the following:
- Fixed-price: This plan includes a fixed energy cost, so your bill won’t change with the season, supply chain issues or unexpected weather events.
- Unlimited energy: This plan is available for residents in Illinois, Ohio and Pennsylvania. You can use all the natural gas and electricity you want while paying the same amount every month.
- Bundle: Bundling combines your electric and natural gas service into one plan. Santanna says you get better value with a bundle — and double the rewards dollars.
- Prime PLUS: The Prime PLUS plan protects you from rate increases and gives you possible rate decreases if wholesale energy prices decrease.
- Renewable energy: This plan is available to customers in Illinois, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Santanna purchases renewable energy certificates to offset 100% of your electricity consumption.
Santanna has a rewards program that gives you 5% to 40% off on select shopping, dining and travel services. Reward dollars are automatically deposited into your rewards account every month after you pay your energy bill.
You can upgrade your chosen Santanna Energy plans after 90 days of having an active plan. Your new plan should become active immediately. If you use bundling to add a service to your energy plan, the activation could take days to weeks.
You can renew your plan about 60 to 70 days before your contract ends.
If you want to cancel your Santanna Energy Services plan, be sure to do so within the first 90 days to avoid an early termination fee or cancellation fee.

Was with Santana Energy for 2yrs with great rates. .045 After the contract expired, I was understood that it would automatic go back to original supplier. Well I just found out after the contract they switched me over to variable rate which is .16 per kwt. I have a total electric house. Called them and they said I had to call them and transfer. They will not release me till Oct.
Rate quadrupled once they knew I switched. Cost went from 160.00 per month to 700.00. They do not care and just say you should have switched...STAY AWAY FROM THIS HIGHLY UNETHICAL PLACE. Sad they had all my business at one time. Now I will never go back. If they are the only supplier left, I'll go back to the stone age and go without.

After being a customer for 2 years After my contract expired and it rolled over to a variable account for the last month the price was unbelievably high. Three times as high as anyone else is charging and a 9.95 fee on top of it So I consider that price gouging on customers on their way out. Shame on you Santanna. Shame. Shame on you. Do you really think I will ever go back to Santanna now after you rip people off like this. Their rewards program is a joke. Everything I looked at in rewards was cheaper on Amazon.
I had a contract with Santanna for 3.5 cents per Khw for 6 months. Without telling me my new rate they jacked that up to over 11 cents per khw and charged a $10 a month fee (without notice). You will be robbed blind by them and if you go to cancel you will still be forced to pay an extra month due to their greed. Do not for any reason go with Santanna.
Received call from Manager Melissa who reviewed problem and resolved it by offering a check for $20 to compensate me for the higher rate I paid due to them not getting my contract changed. Very good resolution.
Called Santanna 2/6/21, spoke with Anthony, Mgr. who then gave me Corey. I signed up for Choice 12-month plan and was told Santanna would be my supplier after my next meter reading scheduled for March 2. My info was verified by Christine. During Feb, I received from Santanna their 'Ohio Electric Choice Sales Agreement', confirming I was now their customer. But when my Ohio Edison March 5 bill came, I was still with my old supplier.
Called Santanna and Spoke with Ashley. She said my verification was not complete and Corey had tried to call me three times on 2/6, but could not get through. I have call blocking for unidentified numbers; otherwise I have never had anyone tell me they could not get through to me. Why did Santanna send me my confirmation of the sales agreement but couldn't tell me that I was not properly signed up? As of March 11, I am still not signed up although Santanna has offered to begin the process again. Lousy customer service.
Ashley was very helpful. Had some questions on a offer that I got from Santana. I have been with them and have never had any issues. She was very informative and was extremely helpful. Great job. Told me that the offer was for new customers.
I called because my 6 month natural gas term ends 1/1/20 and I needed to know my options at current rates. Ashley, the representative, slurred her words as she barely described my new rate, why it's higher, and that she couldn't provide me a better rate because I already bundle my electricity with Santanna. She begrudgingly explained when my new rate would go into effect and that I no longer have the option to enroll online as this changed a couple months ago. Her explanation of the "points" program was rushed and didn't make sense to me.

I am in a fixed price contract with Santanna through September 2020 with an early termination fee. Santanna is now offering the same contract that I have at a much lower rate. I wanted to see if I could enter into a new contract with Santanna at the lower rate. I was told that I could not. If I broke the existing contract, even to sign a new contract with Santanna, that I would be charged the early termination fee. Usually these fees only apply if you switch suppliers. With Santanna it applies even if you stay with them. Disappointing.
I have been with them for 3 yrs. and am very happy with their prices and services. Their employees are knowledgeable and helpful. Also very polite and friendly. They explain the prices and services clearly.
