What is VIP Traveler?

VIP Traveler offers comprehensive travel planning services. Using its private network and global relationships, travelers can access special deals and perks that may not be available to the average traveler.

How VIP Traveler works

There are three ways you can work with VIP Traveler.

  • VIP Exclusives: These are limited-time travel deals arranged through VIP Traveler’s hotel partners. VIP Exclusives often include perks such as preferred rates, room upgrades, airport transfers, spa treatments or dining experiences.
  • Signature Journeys: These are multidestination itineraries designed by the VIP Traveler team. They incorporate not only travel, hotels and transfers but also carefully scheduled experiences that coincide with your travel plans and interests. Travelers can book the itinerary as designed or customize it with help from the travel team.
  • Plan a Trip: VIP Traveler will create a custom trip based on your needs. Its team will design the trip around your specific needs, designing intricate, multilocation itineraries and coordinating celebrations for special occasions.

VIP Traveler also offers planning tools like the Travel Profiler and Bucket List Builder, which help the team understand your travel preferences.

Once you choose a trip, VIP Traveler handles the booking and coordinates arrangements through its partner network. Some deals also include a Buy Now, Book Later option that lets you reserve a package before selecting travel dates.

VIP Traveler costs

VIP Traveler doesn’t require a membership, but you must create an account to book trips. Prices vary depending on the type of travel you choose. VIP Traveler offers limited-time resort deals called VIP Exclusives as well as longer multidestination itineraries known as Signature Journeys. Airfare isn’t included.

Here are some of the packages available at the time of publishing:

VIP Traveler cancellations and refunds

Most trips and packages have a 14-day refund policy that allows you to get your money back in full as long as the trip was purchased more than 30 days before the travel date. However, some trips are marked as nonrefundable and generally can’t be canceled or changed unless VIP Traveler makes a special exception. If no refund policy is listed, the purchase is generally treated as nonrefundable. All cancellations must be made in writing.

You can review the terms and conditions for your specific trip on the offer page. If cancellation details aren’t provided, VIP Traveler typically defers to the hotel or other travel provider’s cancellation policy. VIP Traveler will also work with the provider to assist with date changes, trip delays, booking transfers and arrangements for a credit in the form of VIP Traveler Dollars.

    Sean ** was very helpful and understanding, at one point he got frustrated with me because there were so many things to coordinate and could of been bad timing on my part, but he later called back and came up with everything we wanted and needed to coordinate for our 39 day trip to 4 different locations and all planned around our 13 day cruise. I have to admit I too would lose my demeanor as he did because our needs were quite a few.

    Bottom line the price and effort put forth by Sean was excellent. I compared him to other business class companies I used in the past and I will 100% give them a try again to see if they can beat the other companies again. Sean was even there after the purchase with all our questions and a change in the date of a flight we had already scheduled and paid for. I am doing this review after our trip just in case there was anything that would come up along the way that they have done wrong, but everything came out to be 100% exactly as discussed. He was awesome. Thank You Sean.

      My wife and I booked a Dominican Republic Punta Cana trip for the end of April this year through VIP Traveler. Their site is super intuitive and very easy to use. We did everything online. However, we did want to confirm with somebody at VIP just to make sure everything was official, and we weren't missing anything just because it was our first time using VIP Traveler. Sometimes the discount seems way too good to be true, so we did make sure to reach out and speak to somebody there. We also confirmed with the actual resorts that our reservations were legitimate and they were. In order to confirm those reservations, we did reach out and they were very helpful. We booked the VIP exclusive. When reaching out to VIP Traveler, we were speaking to an actual human being and we weren't passed over to an automated machine, and I thought that was really cool. And every time I reached out, it was always the same person.

      We booked three packages and each package consists of two people. The first friend reached out to VIP and asked if we could swap the itinerary so that we could stay at one hotel first and then the other one has the second one. They said that's fine and we were also told that we could have our rooms close to one another. For the second and third packages, we tried reaching out to them and gave them our confirmation number. We asked if they could confirm that our bungalows are gonna be close proximity to one another and we have not heard back. My girlfriend continued to email them because we can't get them on the phone and we still haven't heard from them. The communication is very limited and it's like pulling teeth trying to get answers.

      Everything with VIP Traveler was okay. It's just they told me that I don't have to pay anything, but I had to pay 65 bucks. It was $12 a day and it was for five days. I didn't even take anything with me but thankfully, I had my credit card on me and I was able to use that. Otherwise, it would have been a bad situation there. I was trying to reach out to VIP. I was sending email, but I didn't got any reply. I wish they could look into it and get me some of my money back. I went to the Maldives. When I was booking it with VIP Traveler, they told me everything is paid there, and I don't have to pay anything. Even on the contract, it was written that I don't have to pay anything. I could understand extra charges for the special meal or drink, but just to stay there, there was something that I wasn't told about that.

      Other than that, the booking availability was good. I had discussed with my partner and we were okay with the facilities they were offering. The website was easy to use. I got my confirmation right away. I had a chat with them before going there about everything, if everything was lined up and ready to go. They asked me about my time, my flight details, and I gave them the flight details and they reached out. So then, I reached out to them to ask them if they got what they needed and everything else was good to go.

      It sounds like that was Maldives' $6 per person Government 'Green Tax' which is generally paid for daily by any guest staying on the Island. However we do cover this on behalf of our guests, so perhaps there was a misunderstanding on their end on this occasion?       We booked a package for Bali and it's a six-night stay at two Four Seasons properties. Booking was fairly straightforward and it was very easy to navigate online, although there were a couple of back and forth over email to figure out the dates.
