    I purchased a timeshare with Royal Holiday and it was one of the worst decisions I've ever made. The resorts are nice enough but by the time to you get there, you will need it after dealing with their HORRIBLE customer service. If you want a timeshare, do yourself a big favor and don't be fooled by the nice salesperson and sales team because it is not them you have deal with to manage your travel. I've used it 3 times and each time has been a horrible experience.

    As soon as you see this people coming to you with a smile, bigger that the cat of Alice in Wonderland, you better say NO, NO and NO. Don't take any, any offer from them. Before rip you off with promises beyond your reason, the salespersons will be the most agreeable, lovely, polite and tender people you will ever meet. After you sign a dark contract and submit a very substantial amount of money-requisite for their lion's slice-and them keep doing monthly payments and an annual over thousand dollars yearly fee, the reality got nothing to do with their promises and fairytales. Eagers to take you out your money, horrible customer services, lies and more lies, all the personnel dogging you and avoiding when is a matter of solving the issues.

    Their Hotelery system is poor, lame and with zero respect for their club associates. Always trying to find a good lost soul to get it trapped in their scam factory. Please, you better do a reservation with Expedia or Booking instead of having anything to do with this crooks. After paying over 12.000 dollars in less than a year and half you will see the big difference with other, no so wannabe companies. My best advice is to avoiding and running away as soon as they approach to you saying that they are willing to give you a "GIFT", again, please, go with other companies that don't work with contract or any obligation, because the results will be hundred times better. PS. I just put one star due that this system does not allow me to rating with minus twenty five stars.

    Was told and given a booklet of hotels included and was told it was similar to the one I was staying at and everything was included and it is not. Verbal agreement was a lie and make it impossible to cancel.

    What sales person sell you is not worth any hard earned money. You can find best deals by yourself beating the cost you obligated to pay them. There is only one Account executive assigned to us and that too is very slow in response. Money back is not an option after 5 days which is not enough to think because you probably be in vacation that time. They are running a scam. Don’t even say yes to go to sales meet, it’s a costly trap for a very cheap offer they might be giving you!

    We punched our membership back in March 2023. We were sold on all of these great hotels and nice rooms and benefits. So far our private booker has only called us twice and can answer anything. After finally getting accepted to log into the website we realized everything we were told was not true. I have tried several different times to contact them. In our contract it says we can cancel at any time, this doesn’t seem to be true. Customer service at Royal Holiday told me we only have 5 days to cancel once we sign. We were still on holidays and not access to the site. We were insured that we can cancel anytime and states that in the contract. So since April I have been trying to cancel and they won’t let me. This was a 30k learning lessons. Don’t trust anything they say or reviews on this site. It’s all a scam. All I want is my money back. But they won’t talk to me.

    My recent stay at the Royal Holiday Vacation Club’s resort of Hacienda Jurica was breathtaking, and I highly recommend it. The accommodations were large and well designed, the restaurant had delectable food, and the staff was attentive. I will use them again during my next vacation.

    Our family purchased a membership and completed our contractual obligation paying on time each year EVEN as our dues increased, points value decreased, quality and quantify of availability decreased. We received confirmation from RH that we met our obligation, but they want us to sign a release. What? We've done our part, and signing a release was not a part of the original agreement. Now RH is calling us asking to pay 2023 dues and threatening harassment. BUYER BEWARE!

    We made My Place Zocalo our home away from home when visiting Mexico City. It served as the perfect home base for us as we enjoyed all of the activities and attractions the city has to offer. We really packed a lot into that week and left with the feeling that we could still return and discover more.

    I gave Royal Holiday a call one day after hearing some friends talk about the program and how much they loved it. I had to do my own brand of research before feeling comfortable with this process but man am I glad I did. We went on vacation to Mexico and it was an absolute dream.

    We could not have imagined a more romantic setting than our own little “casita” at Las Brisas in Acapulco. It even had its own private pool. The staff respects your privacy completely but is right there with the best service when needed.

    The nightlife in Mexico City is AMAZING! My Place Donceles is close to some of the most iconic nightclubs and thanks to the brochures, we were able to figure out which ones to hit up first! It was an amazing experience for me.

    My hubby is an architecture freak and really appreciated the beauty of Hacienda Jurica and its stone arches. Even I was impressed with the cozy atmosphere of the old stone farmhouse their bar sits in. We were honestly so content with the many amenities the resort itself had to offer that we only made the drive to Mexico City twice.

    Just returned from a luxurious stay at Park Royal Beach Ixtapa and am writing this as the memory of the gorgeous beaches there are fresh in my mind. Being on Palmar Beach is like being in a painting. We also took the short walk to Las Escolleras plenty and indulged in our share of watersports. This destination is for sure going on our list of ones to return to.

    Just returned from our stay at Galería Plaza in Veracruz and no lie, I am sitting down to write this before we are even completely done unpacking and settling in back at the homestead. This was our first Royal Holiday Vacation Club trip and we are both so glad we are members.     Being right in the core of hotels in Cancun, we found our Grand Park Royal Cancun accommodations to be ideal. Vacation is the best time to do the extreme things you don’t get to experience in everyday life and Cancun is the place to do them. And we zip-lined and bungee-jumped with the best of them.

    Royal Holiday sucks and has this convoluted layer of management designed to frustrate and deny customers of any sort of customer service with their processes. Royal Holiday does not care. Visited Puerto Vallarta and the hotel was terrible. The first problem we encountered was that we did not have a reservation. Royal Holiday manager then found our reservation, but it was only for 2 people and only a week's worth of time. The trip was for 4 people and 2 weeks. The Royal Holiday manager finally got their act together, and disclosed the proper reservation. Finally we were able to get our room.

    The room was dirty. Hair all over the carpet. Stains on the furniture, we had to have the maids come back and clean the carpet twice. I asked for the some extra towels and royal holiday employees said, No! All the restaurants in the hotel were over crowded and very busy.. 1 Hour wait. Also my daughter had cracker crumbs in her food? Suppose to be a nonsmoking hotel. Didn’t matter, people still smoked by the pool. The place is a joke. Royal Holiday does hold its employees accountable. Royal Holiday makes excuses for employees' bad behavior.

    I was taken aback by the call I received from Royal Holiday. Throughout the call, they were incredibly patient and informative. I expected to be pressured into signing a contract with them. However, it was the opposite. This astounded me because most travel agencies are like car salesman, constantly pushing you to buy.

    With COVID going around I was very impressed with the amount of work and care they were putting in to keep their guests safe and decided to work with them for our vacation. At the resort the safety and sanitation was confirmed to me when I saw the hotel staff wiping and constantly cleaning.

    The hotel room wasn't ready when we got there, but the staff kept our luggage in the front until it was. We went to eat and by the time we got back they actually moved the luggage to our room and left our keys for us. It's so nice to have such friendly people at the resort.

    We chose Hotel Villa Tequila for our last trip. Can you guess which alcoholic beverage we like to imbibe in? Seriously though, it sits on a former tequila-producing estate. The service was fabulous and yes, we did enjoy just a bit of tequila.

    Our goal is to experience each and every one of their locations in Mexico. Our latest trip took us to Cuernavaca where we stayed at Villa Bejar and toured Palacio de Cortés and Cuernavaca Cathedral.     The private beach at Grand Riviera Princess on the Mexican Caribbean is to die for and where we spent most of our time. The all-inclusive package here is one of the most generous we have encountered thus far as well. And there are 8 (yes eight!) different themed restaurants right within the hotel itself. That was super for our family with very diverse tastes.

    After what seemed like forever in practical complete lockdown our very first vacation landed us at the Marriott Tuxtla Gutiérrez.     Our Royal Holiday membership has been a royal pleasure. It freezes our fee in hundreds of destinations in multiple countries but by far our favorite has been our recent magical stay in Cancun. This is definitely one we will repeat.

    I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels in my life and Grand Park Royal Cozumel was really fun. They always have some sort of activity going on you will never be bored. The room was great and we had the best view. We spent a lot of time swimming in either one of the many pools or the ocean. I became a serious water baby and then came back and enjoyed some great food.

    We were right on time for whale watching season at Grand Park Royal Puerto Vallarta. That was something none of us will ever forget. They also have amazing spa services and my husband and I took full advantage while the kiddies were playing at the Kids Club. They wanted to be there all day and we sure didn’t mind.

    Royal Holiday advertises one of their perks is being able to roll points into the RCI system, expanding your vacation choices. One of our three weeks we rolled into RCI is showing a Royal Holiday pending status. After 6 phone calls and 3 emails over a 4 week period, we are now being told that the week showing pending is not one of our weeks. See details below.

    June 4th - they will look into the issue and will call me within 48 hours. (never received a call)
    June 9th - they are looking into the issue and will call me within 48 hours. (never received a call)
    June 12th - I was told they reported the issue. Note - RCI shows no record of this.

    June 16th - After being on the phone for an hour, the person helping me saw the problem in the system as an earlier deposit into RCI and was going to report the issue. He said I'd get a call within 48 hours (never received a call)

    June 21st - They had no record of the assistance I received on June 16th. I spoke to a supervisor. She asked me to send an email with screen shots and she'd look into it. The email included a February 2020 point deposit and two weeks in April 2021. RCI confirmed the 2 deposits and that the February 2020 was the issue, which was in line with what the person helping me on June 16th found.

    June 23rd - Emailed for an update, no response.

    June 24th - Emailed for an update, no response.

    June 28th - Talked to the supervisor I spoke to and emailed on June 21st. She is now telling me that my only weeks were deposited in April 2021. That deposit included two weeks (2020 and 2021 weeks) She said the 3rd week does not exist. She was upset with me and told me I was not listening to her when I asked about the February 2020 week deposit. She is claiming that RCI will be calling me within 24 hours to help explain the situation. I will not hold my breath.

    I had an unbelievable vacation that I booked through Royal Holiday Vacation Club. What a deal. Four of us enjoyed the amenities of the Park Royal Homestay in Los Cabos. It has the best golf course. It was great having cocktails poolside or on the palm bedecked terrace.

    We paid our maintenance fees last year and asked Royal Holiday to transfer 64,000 points to RCI. They agreed but never transferred the points. Called more than a dozen times. Supervisors agreed to sort this out with RCI. Spoke to Hugo on June 4 and a supervisor by the name of Maria on the same day. Was told that they will resolve the matter within an hour and a half. No one called. I called again on June 7 and spoke to Jessica; she promised that a supervisor by the name of Anna, extension ** will call or email. None of this happened. I called again the same day and spoke to Hamila? who promised that Anna will call me today. Nothing happened. I call and in each case, the supervisors and managers are at a meeting. Am at a loss. This is cheating. Am at a loss. Timeshare is a scam, but it should not be allowed.

    We arrived at Bavaro Princess Punta Cana and during our first day were offered a NO PRESSURE presentation on what Royal Holiday has to offer. We reluctantly said yes as the presentation came with a gift of $100 to use at the Spa. Folks to make a long story short, this is a Time Share presentation that attempts to get you to by yearly points for $30,000 plus a yearly maintenance fee of $1,100. Do your homework, check other internet sites, this company is a scam. We listened to their 90 minutes presentation then said "NO", at which point the Manager became angry and verbally abusive. Buyer Beware!!!! You can book vacations for much less than what this bogus company is trying to sell and at a much better value.

    Don’t buy into their scam of selling you a timeshare. The maintenance fees are outrageously high and rising almost every year. Almost impossible to book a trip on a short notice. The customer service is ok only if you want to pay, but any disagreements with them and they simply hang up the phone on you. If you made a mistake of buying the timeshare, impossible to cancel, unless you are willing to ruin your credit history. Horrible company!

    I went on the Carnival Horizon cruise leaving Miami and it was absolutely a wonderful experience, best Mai Tais in the world!     Besides their wonderfully and beautifully priced vacation trip rates their membership card and program that they offer is absolutely wonderful. It’s definitely something to look into depending on what package you get. They offer you the amount of allotted countries in hotels and special promotional flights that you’re allowed to receive or attend. For example I went to London for 10 nights and it only cost me around 60,000 membership points which rack up extremely fast.

Honestly, nothing in particular stood out as a negative. I think the process for getting the tickets was a bit complicated so it would be nice if they could streamline that better.     My boyfriend and I recently took a trip to Acapulco and it was LOVELY. As someone whose close family members are at-risk individuals to COVID, I was really happy with their Safe Guest Program they've put into place. They sanitize our room regularly, and they stayed quite vigilant with recreational areas like the poolside, the bar, and the spa (which was my favorite place). There were literally zero issues other than on the flight there, there was a kid kicking the back of my chair. Other than that, it was a flawless experience.

    I think that Royal Holiday Vacation Club is a good company that obviously has a few struggles but overall does things right. My wife and I were members up until COVID hit (made it impossible to travel ANYWHERE). We enjoyed our time as members, we had some really great trips. The one thing we would improve is the time it takes to process customer service requests. When we had to cancel one of our trips last-minute, we had to wait up to a week to get the issue fully sorted out. It ended up working out, and even though it took lots of patience, I'm happy with how they handled our claim. Thanks guys.

    We were offered this vacation package when we went to Punta Cana. The vacations require 6 months prior booking usually. They told us they would extend a two year contract for a free vacation in certain countries that we also got but, when we tried to use it, they said they never said that and it was expired. When we called about it to talk to a supervisor, they repeatedly hung up on us as though they had marked our number as one not to answer. Finally, during COVID we booked to use our points and got really rundown rooms that smelled like mold. I also drove by their place in Kauai and it also looked run down. I do not recommend this company.

    Alright, so when I found Royal Holiday I was honestly a bit skeptical. It almost seemed TOO GOOD to be true. My sister-in-law told introduced me to the company and explained it. (She had a girlfriend whose husband was an executive in the company or something.) But it was completely legit and I'm REALLY happy with the trips that we've been able to go on. Even with COVID, I was worried that the good times would end but they've done a really great job at keeping us informed of what was happening and now cruises are back open (albeit with several safety guidelines in place).     I joined as a member March 2020 on my birthday trip to Playa del Carmen! They sell you a dream and assure you their rates are the cheapest! Once I finally decided to book to Punta Cana for 4 days they where charging me $1100 dollars! When I check online Expedia, Trip advisor and even the actual hotel website was 50% cheaper than Royal Holiday's price. So what’s the point of paying $3000 dollars to use them? There is no difference, your transportation is not included, no extra perks! It’s disgusting what they do to hard working people/families! To top it off you are not allowed to cancel! Now I’m stuck in this damn contract! After telling the manager and sending them screen shots and links to the prices I was getting elsewhere they didn’t care! RUN NOW!

    We had a family trip of 11 people planned to Cozumel with family and friends off 17 to 23, 2020. 6 people cancelled within 36 days or trip due to covid. Bought travel insurance through Royal Holiday. Called 9/9 to cancel. Told that we would not get money back for extra points bought to secure the rooms. Asked to speak to supervisor. Finally 9/11 spoke to supervisor. Said same thing but she cancelled the 6 people. Said we would get info in through email. 9/18 info not received. Called royal and were told that 6 people weren't cancelled. He cancelled the 6 people and sent us info. File with terrawind and they are saying 6 months to refund money. Unacceptable.

    Our family and friends want their refund totalling $3400. Also insurance is requesting photocopies of their passports. No! They weren't needed for reservations and not needed now. They are not immigration officials. We came to Cozumel and spoke with people in sales department. They said somebody from corporate would call us. In the meantime they tried to sell us more timeshare points. No! Same guy we dealt with called us back. Royal is washing their hands of helping us. Told him we are here in Cozumel and will share our story with guests who may be potential customers. He told us a supervisor will call us. Still waiting for that call.

    At this point in time you might not think a vacation is doable. That is what I thought before I found Royal Holiday. I came across them when I saw a chart showing all the safety and sanitation guidelines they are putting into their hotels. I was very impressed with the amount of work and care they were putting in to keep their guests safe and decided to work with them for our vacation. At the resort the safety and sanitation was confirmed to me when I saw the the hotel staff working tirelessly to keep the resort clean. We were able to have an amazing vacation experience because of them.

    I have never experienced a vacation quite like what is currently necessary due to the world situation. My family and I took a vacation earlier in the year with Royal Holiday and I have to say, it was quite pleasant. We were worried about what the resort would do to make sure we were safe. They took care of the situation very well and made sure everything was safe and sanitary. The employees seemed to always be cleaning something. That made it possible for us to just enjoy ourselves and take a well needed vacation.

    Due to certain restrictions on travel at the moment our trips out of the country have become nonexistent. We have a membership with Royal Holiday Vacation Club and we called them up to figure out what we could do. The staff was very friendly and understanding of the circumstances and were able to help us find a solution that would benefit both parties in the long run.     Royal Holiday promised “free vacations” and upgrades at their hundreds of resorts with concierge service and travel agents to help with all the details of our 3 year vacation package. I tried to book 3 separate vacations multiple times and was ignored, disregarded, lied to and then told that my special “membership price” was twice as much as I could book myself online. I requested refunds and cancelled my contract and they continued to take out money and never answered me back. I was told my “representative is out on leave” and never called back. So I’m not entitled to services I paid for because someone is “on leave?” And there’s no one else who can help me? This company is full of lies! I am still waiting for a refund for all the services I paid for and did not receive. DONT PURCHASE A VACATION PACKAGE FROM THEM. IT'S A SCAM!

During my travels, I have been approached by countless resorts trying to sell me on their vacation or their property. It always ends with me having to escape them as fast as I can. Recently I ran into the Royal Holiday Vacations sales team and my experience was drastically different. First of all, they were not pushy, they calmly explained who they were and what they did then asked if I had any questions they could answer. I told them my situation and they said they understood and they politely moved on. I was amazed. Straight away I looked up more information about the company as their calm demeanor sold me.     We own three timeshares, one of them is with Royal Holiday (we are satisfied with the other two timeshare companies). We have owned the timeshare with Royal Holiday for about 10 years. Without a doubt this is absolutely the worst experience we have had dealing with a timeshare company. We originally bought this timeshare because we vacationed in the Bahamas and at the time Royal Holiday had a wonderful timeshare there. They got rid of the timeshare the next year and we were told every year we called they were working on buying another property there. To date this HAS NOT happened. We have tried to find other destinations that matched our schedules. Have been unsuccessful in finding anything we want. How sad we have paid annual fees and get nothing in return. This company could care less about honoring their part of the contract. Would never recommend using this company to anyone!

    The rep met us outside our building upon arrival and introduced himself as our concierge. That was at least misleading. In our next meeting he offered to put internet on my wife's phone (actually only added it to his personal hotspot). Internet disappeared as soon as he did. Said he would send the Sunwing rep to meet us because his presentation would prevent us from attending orientation session. Lie. Promised he would make our dinner reservations for us. Lie. All this to win our trust, which he did at first. I hate being lied to. At one point, he said he lost a two year old son in a drowning accident. If that was true, I am truly sorry but if it was another lie....SHAME ON YOU!

    It is amazing the difference two people can have when dealing with the same company. My experience with Royal Holiday was one filled with honesty and integrity. I have not signed up for their service as of right now but I can tell you that I dealt with a young man who was straightforward and honest with me. I contacted Royal Holiday when I ran across them looking for an all-inclusive vacation to Mexico. It is my wife's dream to visit the indigenous ruins in the Yucatan peninsula. I thought it might be a good surprise to book us a vacation in that neck of the woods.

    I called them up and asked the young man to give me his best sales pitch. He was very kind and told me about how you could earn points over the course of the year and spend those points on vacations. He explained to me the cost associated with membership and how I could cancel at any time if needed. He then explained the different locations that his company owned around the world and how we could pick any one of them. Overall the package sounded very nice but it did not fall into what I was currently looking for. Once I retire and my wife and I are ready to start traveling more I believe that Royal Holiday will be an excellent option for us. Overall I am happy with my experience with the company and urge anyone who will listen to contact them and get your own information.

    It is refreshing to find a company that does exactly what they say they will. No hidden fees, no sketchy sales tactics. I contacted Royal Holiday after my friend told us about their most recent vacation. When I contacted Royal Holiday the sales representative gave us all the information that we would need and explained to us exactly how the program worked. We read the contract and the representative explained any part of the contract that we didn't understand. As long as we read the contract there was no way not to know what we were getting ourselves into. I have dealt with many companies in the past who lie and cheat to make sales. Royal Holiday was not one of them and even without us having gone on our first vacation, this honesty proves to me that we are in good hands.

    I was so impressed with the Hotel Staff during our most recent stay at the Royal Holiday Resort that I had to come on here and explain why they were so impressive. My son is disabled and often has a very hard time traveling with us when we go on vacation. When we decided that it was time for us to have a vacation outside of the country I worried about how he would be able to enjoy the vacation with us. We ended up using our travel points with Royal Holiday and booking a vacation to Mexico. When we arrived the hotel had sent a van to the airport to pick us up. We had informed them beforehand that we would need assistance to get to the hotel. The driver who picked us up knew everything about the local attractions and even helped us to find activities that our son could do.

    Once we arrived at the hotel their staff took our luggage and helped us get our son to the hotel room. They talked to him like there was nothing wrong and helped him feel normal. As a mother I can't put into words what this meant to me. It made the vacation truly a once in a lifetime experience for him and helped him come out of his shell. I would recommend this hotel staff to absolutely anyone looking to be taken care of. They went above and beyond.

    We have been members with Royal Holiday for quite some time now. We have gone on a multitude of vacations and have always had an amazing time. Recently we had a vacation planned for Christmas to go to Cancun. We were very excited to enjoy the beaches of Cancun instead of the snow. Unfortunately my husband had an accident which has since changed those plans until he can get better. We were worried that we would not be able to cancel our vacation and reschedule it for another time.

    I called up customer service and explained our problem. The representative listen carefully and told me he would have to check with his manager to see what they could do for us. He came back with news that we would be able to reschedule it for another time without losing any of our travel points. This was above and beyond what I was expecting as our vacation was so close and I know rescheduling it can be difficult. I am very grateful to work with a company that will put its customer's needs in front of its own.

    Recently my husband and I went on a wonderful vacation to Cancun. We were able to do this through a company we found online called Royal Holiday. They had us pay for points that we could then put towards a vacation. When we were researching the company we ended up calling them because we had a few questions on how the points worked. We were connected with a young lady who was absolutely wonderful. She explained to us that our points would add up until we were able to afford our dream vacation. In the end we sign up and haven't looked back since. It is people like her that keep a business around.

From the front end staff to the maids in our room they took care of myself and my family. I don't think people in those positions get enough credit for what they do to make vacations enjoyable.     Like any good sales person, the point is to sell the product. When approached by Royal Holiday Vacations in the Dominican Republic this Sept, we were given coffee and smiles galore. All the while, I felt like they just wouldn't take no for an answer. Let's not forget all the promises of discounts and free vacations if we signed up right away. Upon our return home, we did some research and realized we had really gotten ourselves into a bad situation. A 30 year contract with no way to cancel! I placed a call to the legal representative and she offered us a lower points package, which we declined. I was polite while letting her know that we had decided to cancel immediately and that we understood that any money paid to date would be lost ($7000+ Canadian).

    Nope. According to them, you cannot cancel this contract. (They can't be serious.) What happened to a day grace period? Apparently they were supposed to have this information in their contracts but it wasn't in ours nor did they mention this to us. Here's the kicker. I asked two different people about cancellation options. Both said the same thing to me... "You just let us know that you want to cancel and it's that easy. However, you will not get your down payment back." As it turns out, it isn't that easy! I've emailed and called several times and basically, in the nut shell, this contract is set in stone. I'm reaching out to anyone else who has or is now going through the same thing with this company. I'll fight them to hell and back before they get another penny from us. Any help on how to deal with this situation would be greatly appreciated.

    My wife and I were approached in a Mexican airport during vacation to buy a 4 day 3 night in a resort of our choice, and all we had to do is pay that amount $180.00 and schedule our stay within a year. Three weeks later I read the small letters on the paper I signed to find out that I had to attend a 90 minute presentation as part of the promotion. I called a month later to make our so call promotional reservation in Puerto Vallarta to learn that at check in, I had to pay another 180.00 dollars in fees.

    I told Ruben (Royal Holiday representative) that I was not told of additional fees upon our arrival and Ruben stated that I had to pay the resort fees. I told Ruben that the only hotel I liked was the Grand Park Royal, Ruben stated that it was exclusively an all inclusive resort and that I had to pay $300.00 for food for both of us instead of the $180.00 dollars just for the room on the other resort. I research the Grand Park Royal in Puerto Vallarta to verify cost thru Expedia and surprisingly, the all inclusive hotel cost a little less than what Royal Holiday was charging me.

    In addition, I researched the hotel Ruben was proposing for $360 dollars for 3 nights to find out that Airbnb had condominium at the same complex for $160.00 for 3 nights. I confronted Ruben, told him what I found from Expedia and Airbnb and insisted that their cost can not be matched and offered a free tour “Discovery El Eden”. After few days, we decided to make the reservation with Royal Holiday because I was going to lose the $180.00 dollars I had already paid.

    At the Grand Park Royal we had an even worse experience. We checked in, a Royal Holiday employee talk to us and ask questions. The next day, was presentation time for 90 minutes, we meet a manager that explained the process and emphasize that in our part was a “yes” or “no” to buy and will not be a problem. The end result was an abusive retention from 5 different people to convince me and my wife to buy their membership that lasted from 8:00 am to noon instead of the 90 minutes that is stipulated. What got me more irritated was that when I realize it was noon time, we had to do the closing paperwork and even during that time the last guy asking the closing questions was not accepting my answers and still try to convince me to buy.

    When we were finally out, meet with the first person that receive us during check in and I remind her that I had a free tour and wanted to schedule it the next day… She said that she will look into that. The next day, I send her a reminder and send me with the tour organizer to find out that my wife and I were not on the list. The third day went by and no news as well. I had hoped that the free tour would help me recoup monetary losses as oppose to Expedia.

    A few things that we learned: I will never in my life deal with Royal Holiday in the future. This people want to sell you a plan that may not suit your needs. I was offered a room with ocean view, and what we got was a room with partial ocean view, partial view of the pool and the vast majority of the view was the roof tile of the buffet restaurant. Their accommodations did not suit our bedding needs either, beds are very small and are suitable for an adult and child on each bed, not two adults. Employees at the Grand Park Royal Resort provided great service. Totally different treatment received from the sales people from Royal Holiday.

    If you like this concept, do not fall on the original and higher offer price tag, in our case they went more than half of the starting membership price to try to sell it to us. And this is just accommodations. In addition to that; the pool, gym and bar on the twelve floor could only be use at additional cost. During the try to convincing process, they revealed several things such as… I will give you their cost on additional items, so that tells me that they act as agents themselves and sell additional items higher for a profit… such tours etc. Be careful when you are offered a good deal from Royal Holiday. May happen to you what happened to us.

    Buying the so call promotion at the airport from Royal Holiday, turn out to be a big mistake. A lot of wasted time, headaches, a torturing convincing session where at times they were losing the respect, we as customers deserve and that we should have never gone thru, if I would have purchase it from Expedia and suited with our bedding needs. If you make decent money like I do, do not reveal it. Otherwise, they will be persistent, be hostile to a point, and basically not respecting a “no” for an answer to get the most out of your pocket. They will send you several people to try to convince you to buy the membership.

    I was upfront with them since the beginning. You are not giving me anything because I paid more to you that what I should have. We do not like this type of membership approaches, therefore, we are not planning to buy and we are just here to comply with the 90 minute presentation. This was a very unfortunate experience we had from Royal Holiday personnel and hope you do not go thru this. I am not the type of person that write reviews but I felt that this is necessary to make readers aware. Read the fine print and be aware of hidden fees.

    We have a special needs child who needs extra attention in daily activities. This goes two fold for when we are traveling as a family. It had gotten to the point where we dreaded planning vacations for ourselves because we were so worried about our child. This is where Royal Holiday comes in. We were desperate and called up Royal Holiday to see what they could do for us with our situation. The customer service rep was able to answer every single one of our questions and put our minds at ease. We decided to try them out. When we got to the resort the staff was able to help us and we ended up having an amazing vacation. Our child also had fun and was able to experience something new. We cannot thank Royal Holiday more for the support that they gave us.

    We had signed up for Royal Holiday at the beginning of last year and then forgot that we had it. So during that whole time period we had been gaining travel points. Royal Holiday contacted us a month ago and told us that we had gained a lot of points and we could use them for a vacation. At the time work was stressful and we needed to get away so we jumped at the chance. I am impressed with Royal Holiday for calling us and telling us that we were signed up and gaining points. Most businesses would just cash in with the money and not bother to help the customer. It is for that reason I am so happy with Royal Holiday.

    Before joining Royal Holiday we did our research on costs of vacations to various Royal Holiday vacation spots. We then were able to compare that with what Royal Holiday was offering us to see if there was a benefit in joining their vacation club. The difference was quite substantial in favor of Royal Holiday and it prompted us to join. Now we are able to use our points that we gain and travel to almost anywhere in the world using one of their resorts. The point system is amazing and helps even the poorest customer have a 5 star experience. We are very impressed with them and their willingness to help us see the world.

    We have been with them over 5 years and have never been able to find a trip with them that our points cover. Not even the supposedly free trips they con you in with to get you to sign up. You can buy any of their trips cheaper via online or travel agent. We were scammed out of our money and you can't get a penny of it back. So they make their money by scam! I wish there was something that could be done to stop them. You can try emailing or calling supervisors etc. As soon as they can't answer your questions they stop communicating with you or hang up on you. Do yourself a favor. RUN AWAY from ROYAL HOLIDAY.

    We had a family emergency that made us change our plans for our vacation. We had to call up Royal Holiday and try to change our departure date. When we first called we were not optimistic that they would be able to help us. We thought that we would lose our money. Thankfully this was not the case, in fact we experienced the opposite. Royal Holiday was very understanding and helped us to move the date of our vacation to a more appropriate time. There were no fees or consequences.     We had an issue with our credit card in May where the card was double charged for our membership. We contacted Royal Holiday right away so that we could get our money back. The lady on the phone was very helpful. She checked our account and saw the problem (it was a renewal issue) and immediately refunded our money back to us.     My husband and I had the opportunity recently to take a trip to Mexico using Royal Holiday. The experience was quite wonderful and enlightening for us as a couple. One thing that we were worried about traveling to Mexico was the safety of the resorts.     We were referred to this company by a family friend. They had recently taken a vacation to the southern part of Mexico. My husband and I were very skeptical when they started to tell us about the amazing experience that they had on their trip. But them being good friends and us trusting them we decided to check out the company. We called them up and spoke to a wonderful young man.     Our close friends recommended this company to us to use for our next vacation. They raved about them and how much they loved to use them. I was highly skeptical. When I looked up reviews online they were mixed. But I trust our friends and in the end decided to try them out. I was really worried about the price at first. Is that truly worth it?     I called up Royal Holiday after doing some research on various travel companies. I wanted to find a place that would treat myself and my family right when we wanted to go on a family vacation. I was quite surprised with the call that I had with Royal Holiday. They were very understanding and informative to me the entire call. I thought for sure that I would feel pushed into a contract with them. It was the opposite however. They told me to take my time and to come back if I decided they would be the best fit for me.     This company entices you to sign up long term contract by being nice and fuzzy the first time around. If you are at a resort on your own and in a “holiday mood”, that is when you are vulnerable and Royal Holiday salespeople will promise you the sun. DO NOT SIGN! You have no time to read and digest the misrepresentation in their contract while on the beach. If you have signed-up, you are in for nightmarish 5 years. The points you accumulate yearly by paying monthly fees of ($245x12) + $520 annual fee, which is $3,540 will not buy you decent annual vacation. You will be required to buy additional points to make it happen. For less than $2,500, you can buy equivalent vacations from much more decent companies like Expedia, etc. Even more annoying is the customer service which is designed to frustrated you and hang-up and abandon the whole idea of dealing with them.

    Royal Holiday Vacation Club is NOT worth the cost. My membership fee was $3,900 back in 2001. My annual maintenance fee started at $265 and is currently $435. I only get 5,000 points per year. The points do not rollover from year to year. The number of credits to stay in one of their approved resorts for a week averages over 35,000 points. You must purchase the remaining points to book a stay. I highly recommend you NOT purchase their product. Instead, take the thousands of dollars it will cost you to be a member and go on a great vacation!

    One of my friends told me that I should check out Royal Holiday so I decided to take their advice. I called up the company and asked them to sell the service to me. I was so impressed that I signed up right away! The first thing I have to say is that they are very kind. That is refreshing coming from a salesperson. Most salespeople are pushy and get out of line. Secondly they were very intelligent. They knew the answer to all of my questions and they provided a thorough answer. Lastly they explained the program in a way that helped me to realize the benefit. Besides just price there are many other things that go into a vacation. Things like planning, flights, hotels, location, staff, etc. They checked off the boxes in all of these categories and more. I was impressed.

    I grew up in an area far from the ocean. The closest thing I have ever see to the ocean is a lake. That is why when we took a family vacation to Puerto Vallarta through Royal Holiday I was blown away. I had never seen something so blue and so vast. Just staring at the ocean you could get lost in how big it was. The beach was really fun too. I got to build sand castles for the first time ever! It was kinda dinky but it was still fun. I absolutely loved this vacation and it was truly life changing for me. I just wanted to thank Royal Holiday for giving me that.

    My family and I just had the most amazing vacation ever booked through Royal Holiday Vacation Club. We were able to go to Cancun! I am still giddy with excitement over how much fun we had! In my opinion the vacation was well worth the price that we spent to book it through Royal Holiday! They were very kind to us, they helped us each step of the way and made sure that we knew exactly what was going to happen. Once we got everything squared away with them we started our adventure! Let me tell you Cancun is beautiful. The water was extremely clear, we got to lounge on the beach all day. One of the days we decided to go explore inland more and it is so green! I don't think I have ever seen so much green in one place. Definitely a dream vacation!

    After reading through these reviews on this website about whether or not Royal Holiday is a good deal or not and I want to give my down to earth, honest opinion. To start things off it is quite insulting to say that every person in the United States cannot do math. I agree that there are some that cannot but in reality it is prejudice to say that everyone can't. I am not even from the United States and I know that people there can do math! There are a few things to consider when booking a vacation, you need to think about location, flights, food, activities, and convenience.

    Convenience is where Royal Holiday creates value. By booking with Royal Holiday a customer can save money and time by working with them to create an ideal vacation. All of the resorts that I have gone to have been well maintained, private, and all inclusive. These are things that you cannot put a dollar amount to. Our last vacation we went to Puerto Rico. I did the "math" after reading these reviews and found that on average we have saved $500 dollars on each of our vacations. This adds up. Royal Holiday is well worth the money and in fact will help you save money in the end. I might be a little biased because Royal Holiday offers so many vacations to my country. But it's a value that you can't beat and I will continue to suggest to all my friends and family that they go with Royal Holiday for their vacations.

    We’re Royal Holiday members since 2011. At the beginning of every year we try to book our vacation for 2 adults. Same happened this year too. Rep Ana ** gave us over the phone a price $2,648.45 for Bavaro Princess resort in Punta Cana. To estimate total cost for this reservation we have to count our $460 annual fee which gives us 5000 points towards vacation every year and $267 cost per every year of our 30 years contract. Adding all these numbers for this 2019 booking bring us to $3,375.45 ($2,648.45 + $460 + $267 = $3,375.45).

    We checked online prices for the same vacation from major travel sites and found that it cost only $2,569 for the same dates and accommodation. I can send a screen print from www.kayak.com. So Royal Holiday charges for the same vacation $806.45 MORE for 2 adults. I asked Ana where are our savings Royal Holiday promised to their members. Ana offered to try another resort. We have tried to book Grand Park Royal Cancun for the same dates. Like in the previous booking total cost of booking with Royal Holiday was hundred dollars more than it cost on major travel web sites.

    Then we tried other resorts in Royal Holiday family. All the bookings with Royal Holiday were hundreds of dollars more expensive for the same dates and accommodations compare with online travel sites. I emailed screen prints from www.kayak.com to Ana and Juan ** to prove these low prices on the same bookings. However, Royal Holiday responded to us that nothing they can do and we have to pay $806 more than non-members for the same vacation and accommodation. What’s a point to be a member?

    Royal Holiday promises solid savings on vacation compare with prices from major travel agencies. They promise and demonstrate solid savings on the paper to make Americans to sign into contract. As soon as people sign they realize that Royal Holiday can’t fulfill their promises. That’s why huge amount of American consumers complain on this company. ABC News “20/20” even made their investigation to respond to thousands of complaints from American consumers who were scammed by Royal Holiday **. The company intentionally was registered offshore to be immune to US law. However, they target mostly American consumers and thousands of them were scammed.

    Now why you see here some people have positive responses about Royal Holiday. I teach math in universities for many years. From my experience I see that many people can’t do math calculations for their real life situations. So Royal Holiday exploit the fact that Americans trust and believe what they hear and most of them are not good with math. I’m sure people who rate Royal Holiday 4 or 5 stars are those people who never compared actual cost of their vacation including contract cost and annual fee versus costs on sites like Kayak, Expedia, Orbitz, Cheap Caribbean and others. They would scream if they calculate actual costs of their vacations including contract cost and annual fees that grows exponentially. Well… It’s their problem if they believe they save money with Royal Holiday.

    The only time when we found the Royal Holiday vacation cost is acceptable is around hurricane season. However, the price on major travel sites also drop dramatically at this time. Again, no sense to buy from Royal Holiday even then. We also were scammed by Royal Holiday promise to save on vacations because it looked great on the paper and we didn’t have any experience with them. All these years we just deposited Royal Holiday points with RCI to get much better deal when we exchange. However, I have no problem just to stop paying them rising maintenance fee. They can’t do anything to me because they are foreign entity with so bad reputation. Plus I keep all my booking examples as future arguments in fight with Royal Holiday in case if they try to bother me which I have big doubts based on other members' experience.

    Fee up every year and they automatically charge $2 as a "voluntary" contribution. I have tried for days to reach customer service and get a busy signal. Trying to pay online, will only let their total show and require reading terms and conditions which is not accessible. We bought in at Bronze level which is worth a Holiday Inn Express room in their Cancun Park Royal. Would not provide a coffee pot for the room. Small pool, average food, lame entertainment. Lots of pressure to upgrade. Worst deal I ever made and deeply regret it. You can do a lot better elsewhere. This has no value once you buy it and you would have to hate anyone you gave it to.

    I was not sure about Royal Holiday when I first contacted them. They seemed nice and all but it was scary to try something like them. We decided to book a trip with them to Cancun to see how it was. Let's start with the booking process. We went online and called our account representative and they helped us pick out a vacation. We decided to go with Cancun because it was somewhere we had been before and we were more comfortable with it. We got down to Mexico and the airline told us that our luggage hadn't arrived yet. That was no good, but they said they would send it to our hotel. Royal Holiday called us the minute that it arrived at the hotel and we were able to pick it up without any problems. That was very impressive to me. I was scared we would be stuck in Mexico without luggage but they helped us get our luggage back. The resort was very nice. It seemed clean and the staff were welcoming.

    We spent most of our time in the ruins around Cancun because I am from Miami and beaches aren't as impressive as they once were. There were excursions right outside the hotel that they helped us book. The ease of doing the whole vacation was downright impressive. We are now back in Miami and I am thinking we will probably do our next vacation with Royal Holiday as well. Maybe we will do something more adventurous than Mexico. Either way we are happy.

    Royal Holiday is the cheapest way to travel anywhere in the world. They give great discounts on resorts in Mexico, Argentina, Europe, Egypt, etc. We have gone on quite a few to Mexico and one to Egypt and every time we were able to go without breaking the bank. They were extremely helpful and explaining how the membership works and they have always been honest and upfront with us. We will never vacation with anyone else after the amazing customer service we have received at Royal Holiday.

    I contacted Royal Holiday on March 1, 2019 to book vacation at Park Royal Cancun on Dec 25, 2019 - Jan 1, 2020 for 2 adults. I spoke with rep Astrid. After applying my account credit she gave me additional cost for this vacation. It was additional $2,075.00 USD. Plus, for 2019 I have already paid my $460 annual fee to Royal Holiday. Also, I have to take in consideration average cost per year for life of my contract. It is another $267 every year. All these numbers are my total cost for this 2019 vacation: $2,075 + $460 + $267 = $2,802.

    I checked expedia.com and other websites for cost for the same vacation and accommodation. It cost only $2,667.07. $2,802 cost from Royal Holiday vs. $2,667.07 on Expedia.com for the same vacation. Hence, for people who don’t join Royal Holiday cost for the same vacation is cheaper. I sent my booking from Expedia back to Royal Holiday to Astrid and quality Assurance Analyst Juan **. Astrid replied back complete nonsense stating “I have verified the information you provided, and what I am seeing here is that the prices we are giving you are still cheaper.” I asked her to provide numbers that proves her statement. There was no response. As well I got no response from Juan **.

    Next time when you book your trip consider your total cost to keep your Royal Holiday membership (annual fee plus average contract cost per year) vs. cost for the same vacation on American websites. You will see that there are NO benefits to belong to Royal Holiday. I checked another Royal Holiday resorts and tried to get cost. Result is the same: total cost for Royal Holiday booking is higher compare what it cost to NON-Members. They intentionally lie to you when promise you significant savings. We were scammed.

    Pls stay away from them, they charged 25000 US dollars when we sign up and they are still taking 900 US dollars every year, whenever we try to book vacation with them, the same rate we were getting from outside rather sometimes their rates are more.     We have been using Royal Holiday for our vacation needs for quite some time now. They have always been upfront with us and very honest. They take out our payments exactly when they say they will and are constantly in contact with us to make sure we are receiving the best service available. I have never ever been charged for something I shouldn't have been charged for and they are always the first to notify me if there is a problem. You cannot find that kind of honesty in other travel companies. I recommend Royal Holiday Vacation Club to anyone wanting an amazing vacation and a company that will take care of them.

    Royal Holiday Vacation Club has been extremely upfront and honest the entire time we have dealt with them. When we signed up for our vacation they told us exactly how things were going to take place and exactly how much we were going to be charged. We had to change our cards at one point and they were very understanding and helped us change our payment method without an issue. I am extremely impressed with their honesty and straightforwardness. They make their term's very easy to understand and should be clear to anyone reading them. I have had the time of my life every vacation I have tried and will continue using them in the future.

    Purchased the credits in August 2018 at Bavaro Princess in Punta Cana DR. Everything went well and I have been making payments every month. This month the annual membership is due and they withdrew $1237 from my checking account without my permission. The only reason they have my debit card information is because I used that card when I made the initial purchase in August. They were never authorized to have this account on file. In fact they told me that it was removed after the purchase. This is very unfair, this is fraud and I will not have it. I already file a fraud complaint with my bank and I will be speaking to a lawyer. You can not treat people like this, this is not the way to do business. Stay away from Royal Holiday. They are dishonest.

    This time of year my family and I like to travel somewhere warm for the winter. We often take a trip to Cancun or to the Bahamas. This year we decided maybe it was time to join a travel club since we did this every year. A travel club could save us money and help with the planning in general. We finally decided to go with Royal Holiday Vacation Club and we were not disappointed. Everything was taken care of for us and the service was exceptional.     In 2008 I upgraded my Royal Holiday Membership by transferring from my home resort in Nassau to Bavaro Princess in Punta Cana. The agreement was that I could stay at the resort at any time on a space available basis and pay the all inclusive rate without using my points. When I tried to book for 2019 I was told that the all inclusive rate is 50% higher if my points were not used. My certificate clearly states that I would only pay the all inclusive rate for that time of year. Royal Holiday is stating that there are two levels of all inclusive rates. One if you use points and other if you do not. I asked where such a rule is published but was told that this rule is not for members (really). At any rate my agreement clearly states that I would pay the all inclusive rate then in effect (not one that is 50% higher). At this point they are refusing my reservation request which is totally contravening my written agreement. Anybody else had this experience?

    Updated on 01/01/2020: I have been trying to cancel the contract since I first tried to use the service and was told much of the "perks" we were sold on during the sales pitch were not valid. I have secured the services of a company to help me. We have sent numerous emails and certified letters with no response... I mean none. We had financed the $8000 deposit on the credit card they promoted. We made the last payment and received our first monthly invoice which we promptly ignored and voila! We get a phone call. We are in dispute with the BBB now. Royal Holiday cited fine print in the contract that states basically any verbal or WRITTEN promises made by the sales representative will not be honored. Yet another deceptive practice uncovered during this trying situation. Best to keep away from this company.

    Original Review: Lots of misleading promises - My husband and I received a call from Royal Holidays inviting us to the Cancun resort to show us their vacation club offer. During the sales pitch we were offered "free" credits to use and two $500 certificates to use for the all inclusive fees. We were also offered the availability to come back to the Mexico resorts without using any credits for the first year. All of these offers were designed to get us to commit to membership. We did indeed sign the contract. Now I have been trying to use these offers. It has been difficult. They showed us this lovely suite which I was trying to book, however, we have to pay additional cash to get that room. The all inclusive fee on the website was $59 a night but when I tried to book it was $89. I could not book online because there was no option to use the "free" credits or $500 certificate. So I called and could not reach anyone who could assist.

    Finally, a representative at the resort called. He clarified the offers. You cannot use the $500 certificates until half your entire contract is paid, that would be about 10 months into it. Fine print. We could not use the additional 60,000 credit certificate for the additional cash required for the suite. Again Fine Print. The sales team is highly trained to suck you into the commitment. They will promise you a lot of things without clearly showing you the Fine Print. It is quite annoying to have been promised services only to have Fine Print put extreme limits on the usage.

    Well, I did book a stay for Jan 2019 at the Royal Holiday Caribe site. The same one that we purchased from. I did not book the suite for the additional price. I paid the all inclusive fee of $89 per night per person and did not have to use any credits for the room. I will update my reviews as time progresses. The site was beautiful, the white sand beach and pools great. The service was also great. The buffet food was very good, the specialty restaurants (seafood and steakhouse) were not very good and costs additional money.

    While I am there in Jan, I will be sitting down to plan another trip using the "free" credits. I'm hoping that if I can talk to someone in person I can get a clear understanding of the "Fine Print" and actually be able to take advantage of the free stuff they promised. I expect it will take about a year to use up all the free credits and all inclusive certificates. Then it will be just the 30,000 credits we signed up for yearly.

    I did make some calls to Royal Holiday to see what a cruise would cost. That was a shocker. Apparently, you have to pay the all inclusive fee on the cruise as well. I had never heard of that before. After searching online and comparing the actual cost that Royal Holiday was charging in points and all inclusive fees, it was about $1000 less than booking as we usually would. That $1000 is what we pay in maintenance fees per year +/- so it would actually be a wash.

    It looks like the best bang for the buck is going to be the Mexico all inclusive resorts even with the all inclusive fees on top of the credit usage. We may get 2 weeks vacation out of it a year. It will probably cost us the $1000 yearly maintenance fee, another $2000 per year in the all inclusive fees plus our airfare which thank goodness was never promised. So for $3000 a year we can go for 2 weeks to an all inclusive on a beautiful beach. Not exactly what we were led to believe but we can work with it.

    As for trying to get out of the contract, after reading reviews and others experiences, it looks like it would cost us just as much to fight it as it would for us to pay it. So we are stuck with it. We made a deal with Royal Holiday that would allow us to pay off the cost of the membership in 60 months, then it will just be the yearly maintenance. I'm not sure what will happen when we no longer wish to travel but I plan to ask that question in January when I arrive and I will have it put in writing when I get the answer. This membership may or may not be right for some people. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. I will update the review as time goes on.

    This program is really a scam. Yes you get credits but these do not increase unless you upgrade your plan. However, every year the maintenance fees are higher and higher. I began my "vacational plan" with Royal Holiday way back in 2008. Maintenance fees were $415.00 per year. I just received my 2019 maintenance invoice and it is up to $1,172.00 even if you do not use your credits. Problem is you are stuck with this maintenance fee and increases for the rest of your life. If anyone knows a way to get out of this inferno, pls let me know.

    Ah, I just got back from a Bahamas cruise out of Miami. 4 days, 3 nights +$852 for the all inclusive (food) per person. When I asked for the a/i rate for a day & 4 night cruise to Bahamas, they quoted me $1,252. A co-worker of mine went on the 5 day 4 night cruise to Bahamas thru a travel agent for $850 - not thru Royal Holiday. Where is my advantage as a Platinum member??? This really sucks. This company is really into sucking you in order to get all your money. Too bad the only way to get out of this is when you die!!!

    Having a large family it's tough to find vacation experiences that make a lot of sense to keep everybody happy. Living in the Celebration area and already having Disney World at our fingertips we wanted to try something new and different. That's when we found out about the cruise offerings from the Royal Holiday club. We ended up having all you could eat buffets on the cruise, no unneeded added expenses and then went to some of the most beautiful islands and beaches we've been to in the Caribbean. The price was comparable to us going to a resort on the gulf coast of Florida. We have some family photos that we can share if you care to see photos from the cruise.

    Promised so much and nothing but disappointment. Trying to use your points that end up costing way more than any airline holiday package, is almost impossible to do. Navigating their website is not possible. Maintenance fees increase more than actual inflation. You are stuck unable to ever use the points that you pay tens of thousands for. Customer service is awful. They are a scam preying on holiday goers and honeymooners.

    The credit system is pretty easy to use. You get a certain amount of credits each year and they roll over, you can bank them for your next trip, which is nice. I wasn’t expecting my credits to actually transfer without a fight, but it was really easy to get my credits applied to my next vacation. They didn’t even give me trouble over the phone, which was great and unexpected since usually customer service people are not that helpful. I don’t always have time to go on vacation every year due to my work, so I was doubtful about whether or not a membership like this would work. It’s been pretty good so far, a few years back I took a trip to Mexico City, which I’d always wanted to see. I can’t go this year because of work but I’m excited to hold onto my credits for an even better trip next year.

    Once my kids left home my husband and I pretty much gave up on the idea of taking vacations. What’s the point? I’m starting to see the error of my ways. Royal Holiday was recommended to me by a friend who’s always darting off to some exotic location and I figured I might as well give it a try. In the past two years, we went to a beautiful resort in Rio and took a short “staycation” here in San Francisco. I had my doubts about what the rooms were going to be like but they weren’t cheap looking or overly touristy. Both times the lodgings were wonderful and I had no complaints. It made me remember how nice it was to take vacations before the kids came along. I felt truly relaxed for the first time in ages. I can’t wait to start planning my next trip: Maybe Italy?

    I’m seriously impressed with the customer service. I was trying to book a hotel for a week and I got a little confused about the dates, so I called them up and got someone who was really well-informed and walked me through it. I didn’t know a ton about Royal Holiday since I got my membership as a gift from my sister (who wants us all to take more family vacations together.) The woman on the phone laid it out for me: Me and my family can basically go wherever we want for a non-competitive rate, which is great. We’re looking at places to head out for our first ever family vacation next year since my sister and I were kids, and I have to say, I’m getting kind of excited. I’m glad my sister did this: It’s something I would have never thought to do for the family.

    Ronald ** here and I bought the timeshare package in May of 2018 and changed my mind after reviewing experiences others had about where to go this summer. We went on a cruise instead and the family loved it. Also because my family is 6 people it's hard to find affordable vacation packages. Originally they told me I can use couch until my little one is 6 years old, and I thought to myself, well, it's fine, but after trying to do reservations online, I decided the price was affordable enough to book extra rooms. The contracts are tight but after reviewing them it's a really good deal compared to other travel offers we receive.

    I bought the timeshare in Dec 2017 and change my mind after reviewing the posts of other's experience. Also because my family is of 5 members and the majority of their rooms are limited to 4, originally they told me I can use couch until my little one is 12 years old, and I thought to myself, well, it's fine, but after trying to do reservations online, this is not achievable, so I have to either upgrade my room or book 2 rooms, both options means paying more. I've filed a dispute claim through my credit card since RH is not accepting my cancellation. I have ruled clause # 10 where it's stated that contract may be extemporaneously terminated by purchaser. Thinking on involving Profeco now. Does anyone has experience with Profeco? Thanks.

    My husband and I bought from Royal Holiday on Oct.20, 2006. We paid 8,520.00. We had paid annual fees since then. I have small dogs that I do not like to leave behind. None of the properties accept dogs, so I really don't enjoy my trips. We are both 70 and we need to find properties that are not all inclusive and in locations that are impacted by a lot of tourists or not close to the amenities that we prefer. I contacted the resort and I told them that I want to cancel my membership and they told me that it was impossible. I sent them several emails but the answer was always negative.

    I hired a lawyer firm that achieved the cancellation. It has been a very long and stressful year but very rewarding when our ordeal with this unwanted timeshare was finally resolved. We hope no one ever has to go through this nightmare! Thank Mexican Timeshare Solutions for a successful outcome and it was a pleasure working with them. If you are an old couple, beware of Timeshare. They are definitely not for you.

    I have purchased a sliver membership from Royal Holiday Club on May 18, 2018 at Hotel Grand Park Royal Cozumel with an initial payment of USD $3,420. During the presentation, the large number of affiliated hotels was my main reason for the purpose since I travel to various locations. The salesman claimed their rates are lower and showed me their online affiliated hotels in several cities that I asked. He promised that all these prices are online and available in the program. I was told that I can use my holiday credits on all their affiliated hotels.

    After the trip, their customer service told me that reservations with the affiliated hotels will only be available in the first year of this 30-year long program! I was shocked by such a huge reduction of service period, from 30 years down to 1 year, for the affiliated hotels. The sales were deceptive and fraudulent about the prices and online access to reserve the affiliated hotels with holiday credits.

    Then I have requested a cancellation, both via email on June 7, 2018, and FedEx mail on June 11, 2018, but was refused in both occasions. On my contract, an item on Page 3 clearly states that, "This contract may be extemporaneously cancelled by PURCHASER." Also, on Page 5 item 11. states that, "PURCHASER(s) agree that, in the event PURCHASER(S) request contract cancellation, SELLER will issue and deliver a settlement letter indicating the cancellation of granted financing and/or cancellation of any pending balance." By now, I do not understand how Royal Holiday Club could claim in an email that "the cancellation of your contract has not been authorized, since the company has not breached the contract nor the Operating Rules." This company does not respect the contract. Of course, if the sales were fraudulent in the first place, the contract should be invalid from the very beginning.

    RH has been great for our family. I like all-inclusive cruises so I don’t really have to plan anything and there’s lots of activities for the kids. My husband wanted to visit Europe, which we managed to pull off as a getaway for just the two of us. Then we sent our two older ones to summer camp. The people are so nice, the resorts have all been great, and there are so many places to visit with an RH membership. Love it!

    I have to say, I haven’t always gotten my way with Royal Holiday. Even though I read reviews that said you had to book early, I had to learn my lesson the hard way. One thing I will say is that the people I’ve dealt with have been unfailingly polite and always tried to help me out. When I couldn’t get the location I wanted for my dates, the woman I talked to offered to help me find available destinations similar to the one I missed out on.     My business really took off last year and I wasn’t able to get away for any travel, which sucked because of course, I already paid for my credits with Royal Holiday. I was worried I’d just lose the credits, but the company told me I had options to roll them over to the following year or even “rent” them to other travelers and have the cash applied to my account. This was a huge relief and I have to say, I’m really pleased that there are multiple options if I can’t use my credits.

    There’s no better way to see the world than with Royal Holiday Vacation Club, but you should really get the highest tier of membership if you can, so you can go anywhere. I’ve been all over Europe – France, Rome, London. I’ve been to beaches in the Caribbean and South America. I’ve been to Whistler and the Kona Coast. With the Royal level membership you can do a big trip or multiple smaller trips each year. If you love to travel and try out new places, you have to get the Royal membership.

I called in to check dates, but the lady confirmed they were booked up. She recommended other locations I might like that would probably still have openings available, so I ended up booking a trip to Costa del Sol instead of the Caribbean.     Just returned from a trip to Kauai, HI where we stayed at The Cliffs Club. It took forever to book, I kept having to wait and check for available dates that matched my vacation time, but we finally worked it out and it was everything I hoped for! The location is just gorgeous, with incredible views of the ocean on one side and mountains on the other. There are pools and tennis courts on-site and golfing nearby, although I leave that to my hubby. Off-site are lots of activities - we ended up doing hiking and snorkeling. For anyone thinking of going, this is a dream vacation in an absolutely beautiful spot!

    I’ve never had trouble booking my trips through Royal Holiday, although I’ve always booked well in advance, and everyone I’ve spoken to over the phone, by email, or at destinations has been gracious and accommodating. I’ve been to several destinations now in Mexico, Europe, Canada, and the U.S. and recently booked a cruise using my points, and I have absolutely no complaints. The rates are affordable compared to what you might pay booking piecemeal and a lot of locations offer all-inclusive options so you don’t even have to worry about finding restaurants. I’m very happy with the service.

    I love everything about being a Royal Holiday member! I joined a few years ago when I was single and actually met my husband on a trip to Cancun when we were staying at the same resort, if you can believe it! So, aside from the fact that Royal Holiday led me to my future husband, I have been able to travel all over the world and stay at great properties in cities I might never have visited otherwise, or that I might have paid a ton for if staying at a regular hotel.

    I signed a contract with Royal Holiday on Jan 2017 and sent an email within my 5 day period to cancel but they did not accept my cancellation. After multiple phone calls and messages left no one answered or called me back. I could not afford to pay them anymore and they sent it off to collections saying I owe them 12 thousand dollars. I had never used their services or went on vacation. I felt Royal Holiday was acting bad faith and taking advantage of those like myself. I Hired Mexican Timeshare Solutions a lawyer’s firm and they get my contract cancellation in 3 months.

    I am a member of this lying company. They prey on honest people who take vacations and seem to have a noble heart. They are so hungry for my money and will promise anything to convince you. They will pressure you until you fall. Once you’re a member they give you the worst customer service. Any vacation you take they will continue to pressure you to upgrade. They are the devil themselves. I’m in the process of getting rid of them through an attorney and I’m proud to say I have ruined quite a few of their memberships by talking to prospects they prey on while I vacation. This people should go to jail for how dishonest they are and how they steal money of hard working people.

    I still have 11 years left on the 30 year membership I purchased and every year when I go to use my points it is the most frustrating and upsetting experience. The locations are average or below... No locations are excellent (like the one where they set up their sales office to suck you into buying). Their staff is very friendly and polite so I have no complaints with the service but it is the policies they uphold that is the issue. I could go on forever with issues about the misleading information provided when you purchase compared to reality. If you don't book early in the year there is nothing available when you try to book. Trust me... STAY AWAY!

    I went down to Mexico and had such a great time. The food was delicious. Actually it was incredible. The Mexican food in Mexico is not like it is in the USA. Totally unique and excellent service with an extremely low cost when I looked at the total trip expenses in the end. Really great stuff and the people from Royal Holiday are truly amazing.
