I booked a 4.5 Star Express Deal with Priceline on 2.13.16 for the night of 2.14.16 in Schaumburg, IL. The Express Deals was clear in that it said there was free internet and free parking. When I received the hotel information and confirmation I saw that free internet was only available in public areas. I contacted Priceline to no avail and found that it will cost me 12.95/nt for Internet in my room. I found this to be a very deceptive practice. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Did a Priceline name your own price car rental where you get one of 5 major brands they offer. This time however, after agreeing to a non-cancellable contract, Priceline gave me a no-name, off-airport site brand... Sixt. When I complained about the "bait & switch", Priceline said "sorry, this is non-cancellable". Very crooked and dishonest! Can never use them again.

I would give a negative rating if possible. The description stated that water park passes were included with room rental. I received an email confirmation and there aren't park passes included. Even after I called customer service first to verify that they were included!!! Sad that a company so big would have false advertising.

I continue to receive rental ads for $7 per day $9 per day at my destination and dates. When I click on site, the price changes to $47 or $51. There is no way the price increased that much that many times. Priceline is practicing false advertising and the consumer must be aware.

We booked on Priceline. They gave us a good price on a Hotel that was given a ranking equal to La Quinta or Holiday Inn but they would not tell us what the name of the hotel was until AFTER purchasing. The hotel ended up being a low class hotel in a bad part of town. (We are familiar with this very hotel.) We called to cancel the reservation but they would not cancel or refund the money. We ended up having to file a claim with our bank to dispute the transaction.

NEVER, I repeat NEVER purchase tickets through Priceline.com! They have no concern for customer service and will give you 2.5 HOURS of run around. They sold me a non-refundable ticket, unbeknownst to me, and sent me back to the airline 3 TIMES! After getting on a conference call with the two, Priceline would not waive the change fee for a flight that's over 3 months away (BTW, the change fee is more than the actual tickets themselves). They asked for me to send a private Facebook message and did nothing to address the issues besides say that they "empathized". YEAH RIGHT! Don't waste your time with them! What a scam.

I paid in full for a hotel reservation on Priceline about 3 weeks ago. Today as I was making a flight reservation on another travel website when a price for the hotel I reserved through Priceline popped up at a lower price. The difference was about $25, but hey, $25 is $25. So I called customer service to tell them that I found a lower price and could they refund me the difference BECAUSE on the confirmation email I was sent by Priceline it reads EXACTLY: "WE GUARANTEE THE LOWEST PRICE ON EVERYTHING YOU BOOK. Find a lower price, we'll refund you 100% of the difference. Book an Express Deal, we'll refund you 200% of the difference. Prices are in USD. Charges will be from "Priceline.com"."
There are no other terms in that statement, no fine print, nothing more. So when I called customer service they told me I had to find a lower price within 24 hours. I told them that was not the the paperwork I was sent by Priceline. Then this customer rep told me I had to Google it to find it online. REALLY??! So, so deceptive! I've used Priceline time and time again for years, but if they feel this deceptive practice is worth losing a long time customer over $25 then good luck with that Priceline. After reading other reviews on this site it seems they have a culture of deception within the company.

I didn't want to give this company any stars but I had to give it one. Today I wanted to book a room at a hotel in Squamish BC. I stay there from time to time and I usually just book by calling the hotel. My rate usually about $100.00 a night. I was on hold with the hotel I was trying to book and while on hold I scanned the hotel booking outfits. I've used them before without an issue but it's the first time I've used Priceline. The was here in Canada and any other time I've booked online I pay Canadian dollars. I made the reservation and only when the confirmation came through did I see that it was US dollars and the deal was no deal at all. A ripoff. About 30 dollars more than I should have paid. They have a no cancellation and no change policy. Stay away.

Booked a hotel classified as four star on Priceline and they compared it to "Marriott, Westin.. etc." Once the hotel confirmation came back I looked at the reviews the hotel had on several sites and almost without exception it had terrible ratings and reviews. Called Priceline and they agreed that the reviews were awful and promised to call the hotel to see if they could make an exception and get me a refund. When I called back the customer service representative "Latrice" pretty much read me the policy and told me there was nothing she could do. Don't use Priceline under any circumstances.

I was searching hotels in the Toronto area and had all of my credit card information stored on my phone when I walked away to greet a friend at my front door. Upon return, I received a email notification confirming a reservation through Priceline which I did not authorize. My 3 year old daughter, who had my phone in her hands when I reentered my bedroom; apparently authorized the payment. I contacted Priceline to dispute the unauthorized charge - a supervisor by the name of Leah (who reportedly is stationed in the Philippines call center) said they couldn't refund me since the charge was confirmed.
Leah provided me with some of the worst customer service I've ever received. She was not empathetic nor seem to care that I've been a Priceline member for several years and made several bookings through the website. Leah was not courteous or professional and reiterated on several occasions the confirmation stands - despite the charge not being authorize by the bank holder. Finally I told Leah I would have this matter investigated by the bank - Leah thanked me; apologized for the inconvenience and yet again provided to me the charge stands. Leah's attention to this mater response shows that even a big corporation such as Priceline can have awful customer service; some of the worst I've ever experienced. Following this, I will take my business elsewhere and refuse to continue practices with priceline. Thank goodness my credit card wasn't lost or stolen because apparently Priceline doesn't refund unauthorized charges.

I booked a hotel and then found it cheaper 1 hour later and called Priceline 4x after getting the runaround. They told me that Priceline could not verify the cheaper price, their web browser wasn't working, so I can't get the price guarantee. I even offered to email the information showing the cheaper booking and had the telephone number for them to call and verify but they said that would not work. This company is a joke!!! After staying in the 4 star hotel that was dirty and smelled. Don't use Priceline.

I booked a return flight with Priceline from Uganda to Spain. First of all the airline reference number was not recognized by the airline. I saw the airline in person and resolved this myself. With the return date looming my husband was taken seriously ill and hospitalized in the UK. I tried to contact Priceline to change or cancel my ticket, airlines are not happy with no show customers understandably.
First I had a 'chat' with one of their online operatives. Either she was a android or not an English speaker. The conversation was difficult to follow and resulted with her suggesting I phoned them using an American toll free number. I explained that I was in the UK and could not use a toll free number, she repeated again three times to phone toll free. I decided this was not going anywhere so emailed them. I received back an automated reply with reference number and a promise of a 12 hour reply. I'm still waiting... Great company if everything goes to plan BUT life is never that simple and I would never recommend this company to anyone.

We used priceline.com. Booked a rental car with Alamo. When we show up at the designated location (in Punta Arenas, Chile) that address is printed on the rental car agreement, THERE WAS NO ALAMO RENTAL CAR. Later we were told that ALAMO RENTAL CAR has been CLOSED a couple of months ago. During these two months, we did not receive any notice or email from Priceline to warn us the Alamo is closed. Therefore, we called Priceline Customer Service, BUT they were insistent about the Alamo still being open at that location. To ignore our problem, the Customer Service Representative even transferred our call-help to a busy tone! We started looking at other options, but since it was peak season in Chilean Patagonia, the buses and rental cars have been all booked out! So basically we were screwed and our longtime planned vacation was in jeopardy.
Fortunately a local rental car company had one car for us. Of course they charged us more than Priceline in Alamo rental car agreement. But we do not have any other choice. We used our precious international minutes to cancel the Priceline reservation. When we got back to the States, we called Priceline to complain and would like to get some form of compensation. And Priceline say they are not responsible for this loss! They had inventory when we booked in September and since we supposed to pay Alamo when we got there (even the Alamo is closed!), they don’t owe us anything.
All in all they say there is no guarantee through Priceline that you will have a car! They also don't think they are accountable at all. After all this complaining, we got a 10% coupon off my next rental car. No way we are not going to get another rental car through Priceline. We count us as lucky! We complain Priceline not only for Priceline unreliable and dishonor business, but also would like to warn readers that DON'T BE next victim. You may not be lucky like us!

Priceline's express deal misled me to book a hotel one hour away from my selected destination. I only selected Moab, UT in the searching criteria and the 2-star express deal shows up and on top of the screen shows the express deal hotel is located at Moab UT. Priceline won't reveal the actual hotel address for the express deal. However, due to the misleading ad, I thought the hotel is located in Moab. After I booked the hotel, the confirmation revealed the hotel address which is another city that is 1 hour from Moab city.
I immediately contacted Priceline 10 minutes after I booked the hotel. Priceline refused to refund me the money and claimed the express deal is not refundable. I understand that express deal is not refundable, but the policy can't apply to the misleading ad on their website. Especially when I only selected Moab city in the search criteria and the deal shows the hotel is in Moab. I ended up have to book a hotel actually is in Moab city and just wasted the whole amount I paid Priceline. I'll never ever use Priceline's service. I believe a business can't last long by cheating customers.

I will start with saying I used to love Priceline, would recommend them and the express deal and name your own price was great until a couple months ago I started having this issue. I would go through the process, pick out my hotel, enter in all info, name, credit card, etc. then hit submit and cross my fingers. Of course error msg. "oops there was a problem with your credit/debit card info. Please check the card and try again." Well thank god I know from previous experience not to keep trying because that money is now pending! Yes I understand pending does not mean processed but now that money is untouchable for 3-5 business days maybe longer depending on your financial institution.
Anyway so I call customer service and ask what's going on the lady says well there are no rooms available at that hotel for the dates I'm looking for. Recommends I look for a different hotel and try again and can reassure me my card has not been charged! Lie. My card was charged, tried to charge it because the transaction is pending! So I have ran into the issue where Priceline didn't have the room I was looking for. Guess what, when I clicked on it it would say "this deal is gone," not "oops there was a problem with my card." If there was a problem with the info on my card then my card wouldn't have been charged because that means I must have entered something wrong but that is not the case. I have had this problem a bunch of times in the past. One time I tried to reenter the card info like 4-5 times and yes it tried to process but stayed pending for over $600 and there is nothing anyone can do to help.
They have to know this is happening because I am not the only one. My friends and family that I recommended Priceline to same thing has happened to them. It is very frustrating for someone to tell you "ohh well it was that there were no rooms available for that date" then to say "well it must be your financial institution." How is it my bank? I entered all the info correct and have the money in my account. Why would they deny the charge. No it's Priceline and there is something wrong with their system and they need to fix it. I mean what an inconvenience it is for your money just to go pending and you have no access to it until 3 to 5 business days.
I have been using Hotwire and still don't like it as much as I did Priceline. Priceline's rooms were a little nicer and their star ratings were accurate but I've never had an issue with Hotwire doing anything like this so from now on I'm not gonna make the mistake and try Priceline ever again. I don't recommend anyone using Priceline.

In June 2016 I booked a round trip flight through Priceline for $1122. The plans has changed and I had to cancel the flight. The Priceline representative told me that I will be able to use $1122 as my credit for 1 year (till June 2017) and when I am ready to book another flight I just have to call them to book a new flight. He also said that I can book multiple flights for the amount of $1122 credit that I have and I will just need to pay $130 penalty fee + $30 booking fee.
As I am ready to book a new flight I call the Priceline and as of now it turns out I have to pay $425 penalty fee + $30 booking fee. I had to call 4 times and speak to 4 different representatives to finally speak to a supervisor which brought me back to $130 penalty fee + $30 booking fee. So I found 2 round trips that cost around $539 each so I can use my entire credit of $1122. But now a supervisor says that she "can't find" the $539 tickets and she only found one for $1129 even though the $539 tickets I found on the official websites of the airline.

Priceline engages in certain practice with hotels in order to trip a consumer. I just booked a 3-night stay at a hotel for $86/night, after searching for hotels under $100/night. Thinking that I am OK to pay that plus tax (totaling $306), I scrolled through the screens and paid. Only then did I see that the total for the hotel is actually $380. There was an additional item that read "Mandatory hotel fee" of $74. I called Priceline service, they could not explain what this mysterious fee is, except that it is to be paid directly at the hotel.
Now, I would've never booked this hotel, Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, if it didn't show up in the result search under $100. But the price, obviously, is $110 when you add the "mandatory fee". So this is the trick Sheraton does. And Priceline is perfectly OK with that. It's pretty sad they resort to that. At the minimum they should explain what the additional fee is, but obviously it is simply the room rate placed AFTER the customer searches to select a hotel. Priceline did call the hotel to cancel the room, after several minutes of my haggling with them over the phone. Be very careful when booking with Priceline, and certainly with Sheraton too, or don't use either. There are more decent services than Priceline and Sheraton.

I went to Priceline to book a flight for the owner of the company for a business trip over the holidays. This is something that I have done many times but after this incident we as a company will never use Priceline again. I booked a flight for 1-2-17 for a return flight home from Ft. Wayne IN to Greensboro, NC. I choose the flight online that fit the schedule that was needed for this trip. I went thru the confirming process on my computer screen and made sure that everything was correct. We were sent a email with the ticket information but when my supervisor took the ticket to the counter in Fort Wayne, IN the ticket was booked for a month earlier. This is NOT what I confirmed on the screen and paid for!!!
I spent over an hour on the phone with a customer service rep with Priceline that could barely speak any English and was very hard to understand and didn't seem concerned at all that the computer/human at Priceline had made a error in this ticket and now my supervisor is stuck in an airport with no flight at this point to come home. When he gets to the ticket counter to speak with a representative from American Airlines she was very rude and made a point to let him know that his ticket was for a month earlier and that he had used Priceline.
I never got anywhere with the lady on the phone. She kept giving me other numbers to call instead of helping with our problem and didn't offer any suggestions. Nor did they admit to the mistake that had happened in the process. My supervisor ended up paying over $1,000.00 for a flight home and luckily got the last seat on the flight. I will continue to pursue this issue with Priceline as they have lost a lot of business from our company and just the fact that no one would admit that it was an error on Priceline's behalf.

But I found out after spending hours trying to reach them - I called the P# listed on their website: 877-477-5807 and there's no way to speak w/ a human, in fact the call hangs up on you - now that's what I call great customer service - LOL! Then I tried "live chat" through the computer, which was quite timely also, and was told that even though I made the reservation for the rental car through Priceline, they could not do anything to the reservation (i.e. change the driver from my spouse to me since spouse has to arrive a day later and I'd be picking up the rental car) stating that only the car rental co. could access the reservation.
I called the car rental car co. directly and they will cancel the reservation. Cancel directly w/ the rental car co. I will do (no fault of theirs). I'll call my credit card co. to cancel/dispute the charge. I'll gladly pay more money in the future to book directly with the providers of service, rather than try to "save" a few dollars! PROSPECTIVE PRICELINE USERS - PLEASE BEWARE AND READ THE REVIEWS... SURE WISH I HAD - A PRICEY AND DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE. I sure hope that ConsumerAffairs is reading these reviews and will consider taking action. After all, in America, if there's a company offering a service, the company should be required to provide a way for the consumer to communicate with the company - that is "live human" communication.

When we arrived there, we discovered that our car rental was at yet another site and we now had to take a van to that site. It was a strip mall and the name of the company (Verve Car Rental) was not the same as we were given in the confirmation. The manager said Priceline has known for two years that the site had moved, but doesn't change the information online. I was also informed that the rental didn't open until 6 AM and our return flight was 6:30. So, we had to return the car after only one day, instead of two, and get a cab back to the hotel and then get a cab for our early morning departure the next day. Instead of costing $114 for two days, it cost us $114 for one day plus an extra $25 in cab fees. I will NEVER use PRICELINE again.

Buyer beware. Using Priceline.com, I booked a hotel in Boston. I received a confirmation email from Priceline that indicated my booking was completed by Agoda and I had paid in full. I tried to check in at the hotel, they told me they had no record of my Priceline booking. The hotel phoned Priceline Customer Service who transferred us to Agoda. Priceline and Agoda offered no help or apology, and recommended I book directly through the hotel. Even worse, Agoda suggested the problem was the hotel who could not honor the booking and that my payment had not been processed. The hotel was not the problem, I made an online booking through Booking.com and it immediately showed in the hotel system and the hotel upgraded my room as a goodwill gesture. The hotel indicated they had experienced this recurrent problem with Priceline bookings. Think twice before using Priceline.com.

We used priceline.com to compare rental car rates for a trip in December 2016. Priceline.com did not find any matches that met our 'bid' for the car. Priceline sent a link to a similar vehicle at a comparable price but we did NOT intentionally confirm the reservation nor did Priceline.com actually provide PROOF or a confirmation of our rental. December 6 is when we were 'comparison shopping' through Priceline.com and we received an email that on that date but it was very innocuous and did not indicate anywhere that we'd actually confirmed a car rental reservation. In fact, you had to page down to the bottom of the email to see what the email was all about - a car rental - but, again, it did not state we had actually reserved the vehicle.
An email from priceline.com came to us on December 18 indicating our rental car would be ready on December 21. We contacted priceline.com and was told our reservation (that we did not actually confirm) was non-refundable. It did not matter that we made a MUCH better reservation for much less directly through a rental car company. We contacted our credit card and were advised to initiate a dispute with Priceline.com, which we did. However, Priceline.com CANCELLED our non-refundable car rental reservation because we initiated a dispute. No one from priceline.com nor our credit card company informed us of this action.
We contacted Priceline.com to restore our reservation and spoke to a gentleman named Nigel (employee ID **) and he confirmed that NO ONE in the ENTIRE priceline.com organization has the authority or authorization level to restore a canceled reservation. Priceline.com will not refund our money and initiating a dispute is equivalent (in the eyes of priceline.com) to a cancellation. That is priceline.com's POLICY.
Priceline.com's "system," according to Nigel, does not allow for a cancellation to be reinstated. We told Nigel it sounded like robbery and at the very least was fraudulent and asked to speak to someone in the fraud department. Nigel said there is a fraud department but he did not have access to any name, phone number, or even an organizational contact in the fraud department. Priceline.com's "system" does not contain information on other departments within the organization, according to Nigel. We then asked for the president 's name and he told us it was Paul Hennesy. A quick google search tells me Paul Hennesy resigned as president SIX MONTHS ago from Priceline.com. Mr. Hennesy probably realized his employer is a total dumpster fire and wanted out.
We are out $850 and have nothing to show for our reservation. Our credit card company said a dispute can take up to 30 days to resolve. Nigel said priceline.com is waiting on our credit card company to provide information. Our credit card company said it was waiting on priceline.com's response. I have no reason to believe priceline.com at this point. It is a company with low standards, terrible policies, and, judging by the other comments on this page, a long history of treating its users like garbage.
The current president of priceline.com is actually Jeffrey H. Boyd. He took over for Paul Hennesy who came on board after former president Darren Huston resigned in disgrace for having an 'at work' relationship with one of his subordinate employees. You can really tell a company has its act together when it goes through three presidents in a three-year span. Do yourself a favor: don't use priceline.com for anything. It may take a little extra work and research, but deal directly with your hotel of choice, car rental organization, or airline. You and your wallet will be much happier.

Let me say I have used Priceline before. However, on Saturday, December 17, 2016, I experienced a company that was non-credible and uninterested in correcting a situation caused by Priceline! I rented a vehicle to move my daughter from Louisville, KY to Jackson, Mississippi. The weather was awful. I got to the National Counter and the agent says, that will be three hundred and eighty-six dollars. Usually, when booked through Priceline, you simply pick up your keys and you are good to go. The agent asked me to call them. It took me forty-five minutes to get through.
The agent who answered the telephone started right in on me. He kept saying the reservation was booked incorrectly, they were not going to change it and no refund was possible. He kept saying the reservation was booked roundtrip to Louisville. I told him I had a one way drop-off. He said no I was wrong and could not change the reservation and was not going to get any money back. Meanwhile, I showed the agent at National my charges on AMEX on my phone, He advised me to ask them to cancel the reservation so they could honor the ticket. The Priceline agent had no grasp of the English language and only wanted to argue.
When I asked to speak with a Supervisor, he told me that was not possible! I was so trying to be cool, it was very hard. I just started saying Supervisor, Supervisor, Supervisor, until he finally transferred me. I waited forty-five minutes and a Supervisor came on line. She started the negative spiel and I told her I had the solution. I told her that they had already charged my AMEX card and National was going to honor the rate, so just release the funds. She hung up on me!!! The National agent said he wasn't surprised, he sees this all the time. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I'm not sure I will use Priceline again.

So I went on their chat application, and asked, "What night is $114.00 at XYZ hotel?" "Well we don't know, it's based on availability". At least a car dealer will say, "We have one in stock at that price". In this case Priceline had no idea if there was a $114.00 room "ever"? Why is this allowed? In August, 2016, a friend and I purchased travel insurance when we book a package on priceline.com (flight and resort) for airline flights and hotel accommodations in San Juan Los Cabos, Mexico. With our reservation, we also purchased travel insurance. Our confirmation email included a "link" to the insurance. Unfortunately, after we were at the airport waiting to board the plane, it was announced to everyone waiting to board that our flight was cancelled due to a mechanical problem of the airplane that could not be repaired. Even though we were near the front of the line for rebooking, airline representatives were unable to reroute us to our destination on ANY airline until the following day. We had to leave the airport, get a hotel, and arrange for transportation back to the airport the next day. In addition, we had to contact the resort and our prepaid ground transportation services to cancel and/or rebook for the next day.
Upon return home to the US, we contacted the travel insurance company that was provided in our email confirmation from priceline.com of our flight and hotel. (A hotlink embedded in the confirmation email from August, 2016.) When we contacted the insurance company (Allianz) to initiate a claim for the delayed flight, we were informed by Allianz that we did NOT have insurance for our travel package with them. We contacted Priceline.com, and were told that the travel insurance company had changed since we booked our flight, and they gave us the name of a different company - Aon Insurance.
Aon Insurance representatives told us that THEIR coverage does not include "travel delay" - for any reason. We contacted priceline.com and were told that there was nothing they could do because they had switched insurance companies, and even though we were provided with information regarding insurance coverage with Allianz in August, we really were NOT insured by them for our trip in November. I cannot even begin to explain the frustration and anger over this. We were misinformed by priceline.com, and refused even a refund of the cost of the insurance - even though we were given inaccurate information about our coverage when we booked the "package" in August.

I went through them online to get my car rental when going on a trip, the receipt had the breakdown in American and under in brackets was the Canadian amount. Knowing what it was going to be I booked the car rental for the time needed. So I thought that the airline tickets would have been the same but the price wasn't in Canadian it was American. I got charge for a whole boat load more than what I was expecting on my MasterCard.
When contacting priceline.com they informed me that I wasn't within the timeframe of their price guarantee which is only 24 hours after booking, so there really isn't a guarantee on it because when you go to dispute a different price they then inform you that because it's in American dollars that they can't give you any kind of credit or refund as their guarantee is limited and I mean very limited. Another thing I needed to change my dates flying out and in and there is no refund or exchange for a different flight. Okay I always get flight insurance and would have paid for whatever to have been able to change dates because life happens but I got "we're sorry there's nothing we can do for you" crap!
So I found a flight for $550 less and even cheaper than their American price originally quoted, and the dates I needed but I have to eat it and figure out a way to go these date because it's none refunded and nonexchangeable, no coupon or Priceline credit. Not only did their computer glitch and charge me 5 times for the flight insurance, but they pre-authorized the plane ticket purchase, then told me the bank had rejected it and they didn't actually charge me for any of it and it would be fixed in 3-7 days. So I let my bank know what was up and they said that the charges for the 5 insurances had been reversed, but not the ticket itself and that I would be charged!! So I contacted Priceline to say it was fine if they charged me, just give me the ticket and info and they insisted I hadn't been charged so they couldn't give me the ticket. A ** NIGHTMARE!!! Will never use them again.

Priceline is related to booking.com. When I booked with Booking my room was canceled due to no payment and Booking did not tell us. Then while I was stand on a street corner in New Orleans, Booking did not want to help me and said to book another room and they would fix it later. I tried to tell them I had no computer and after pleading with Booking they booked the room for me. Now I used Priceline and they must have flipped the booking to booking.com and they are saying the room is canceled due to no payment again. I have the confirmation it was paid for, I have never had a problem with Priceline before and now will never use them again because of their partnership with booking.com

Will never do business with Priceline again. Their position on 'customer service' is without logic or reason. When you need help with their company, all of their customer agents follow some ridiculous mantra and that is to blame the computer system's lack of flexibility in being able to do anything to support the customer. I have lost money based on a reservation I made with them for a rental car that any reasonable person -- or a company that actually cared about the customer -- would have adjusted. Because of weather problems that caused me to have a delay to pick up my rental car, they would not adjust their agreement by allowing another person to simply pick up the very same car that was reserved for me. I couldn't add them as an additional driver OR follow any of their options to allow them to pick up the car.
Ridiculous logic... as the rental car was already fully paid for (Priceline or the rental car company is not out of any money), the insurance coverage was the same as for this driver since they were part of the family and with the same last name, and they held a valid driver's license, etc. What reasonable person would deny this option? They said you had to be at the counter to sign to make this switch. Of course if I could be at the counter, I would not need this. Instead, I am stuck because of weather and they WOULD NOT ACCOMMODATE this over the phone, Skype or any other way to have my reservation be handled properly.
Instead, we had to pay for a second rental car, forego the full payment that was already made through Priceline and spend over 3 hours on the phone with different agents to get to that useless end point. I was told that if the problem with my travel delay was due to an earthquake, then this would be adjusted, but because it was not an earthquake, they can't allow it to happen on their computer system. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH PRICELINE. You will be out of money with no reasonability.

Tonight I went to the Priceline.com website and checked for hotel availability in Wilmington, NC. I saw that there were 3 rooms available. I proceeded to book it, entered my banking (card) details and the system took my money. Once I called the hotel locally where the room was booked they promptly informed me that the booking was not in their system and advised that I call the company which I made my booking through and ask them to populate the booking into their system. I proceeded to call Priceline and they directed me to their sister company in Malaysia (Agoda.com) to discuss my customer service issue. Then they informed me that they needed to discuss the matter directly with my husband, whom I made the reservation on behalf of. I called him, and asked him to call them.
They then informed him that they had no available rooms and that they would find him a room in their system to no avail. Then to make matters worse they informed him that we would receive our refund in 7 to 10 days. So tonight my husband is in another city and he does not have a hotel at 2:30 am in the morning. How is this possible?

While traveling through Tennessee on October 30, 2016 we decided to book a room in Jackson, TN. We made a $65 offer for two rooms at the Best Western in Jackson. After nothing happened on our Ipad Mini and we thought we would have to start over, we checked our email and there was the confirmation that our offer had been accepted and we were charged $158 on our credit card. We received an email receipt from the Best Western the next morning and found out that the extra $28 was all Priceline's fee and not the "fees and taxes" claimed in the email. All taxes had been in the accepted $65 room rate and none were in the extra fee.
We contacted Priceline and their response was the equivalent of "well you still got a better deal than the hotel's standard rate so we should not be complaining." We told them that an over 20% fee only revealed AFTER the charge was made to our credit card was unacceptable and we thought we deserved a refund. They sent us a follow-up email asking us to share our experience with our friends and family and we are very glad to comply. We will no longer use Priceline and recommend the same to anyone who wants to know.

I accidentally booked a rental car from Avis for the wrong week via Priceline.com. Two days after the incorrect date I noticed my error and called Avis. They told me they had rented my car to someone else when I did not show up and they would be glad to move my reservation to the next week for no additional charge. I just had to get it done via Priceline.
When I called, Priceline said they would not do it because the reservation was non-refundable. I had even rebooked my rental car through Priceline for the correct dates at a higher price. I mentioned this to the 3 agents of Priceline that I chatted with and all of them just quoted company policy to me. I just made my 2nd phone call to Priceline tonight and same story -- the 2 agents I spoke with just said it was my mistake and it was non-refundable. They said they would not refund not even $1 of the $535 mistake.
I asked them if this is a common practice where they profit from others' honest mistakes and to my surprise I was told that in the case of a non-refundable rental, the answer was yes and that it is legal. I am sure it is legal, but certainly unethical. Avis was ok with the change in dates and isn't this who you are ultimately renting from? Now that I know that Priceline will happily feast on any mistake I make, I will NEVER use them again and will share my experience with anyone considering to use Priceline.

This was the worst experience of my life! I will never use Priceline or Economy again. No one offered any kind of acceptable rectification. It was so bad and all anyone wanted to do is cancel the reservation and tell me to re-book with another company being that they were unable to fulfill what I was supposedly guaranteed by Priceline. Who in their right mind would be okay doing that to end up paying over 200 dollars on a confirmed reservation originally priced for 70.89! First I was guaranteed unlimited miles, to learn upon arrival that was not the case, then to be told because I live in Orlando my confirmed rate would not apply to me.
After fighting it they honored the pricing but not the miles I was even going to go as far as paying for the extra miles because it began to run late and I was suppose to be on the road to Myrtle Beach which btw was ruined because my personal car was not up to par and needed an oil change before I hit the road and because both parties I missed a day on my already short trip that needed to be made. I got a car rental so I wouldn't have to drive my own car! Finally when I thought we finally reached a solution, you can't go past Georgia, the car will turn off on you. So now after all the time wasted more money that was going to come out of my pocket just to get this done neither parties could give me what I reserved and supposedly guaranteed by Priceline.
It was never disclosed that the car would not go past GA anywhere and no one would help. At that point Priceline missed the ball in my opinion and should have covered the expense of the difference with another rental car company and if Priceline wouldn't eat the added cost for their mistake and poor service, how do you expect a customer will just be naturally okay to pay for it. As for Economy, the assistant manager was completely rude, disrespectful, talks over you, walked away mid sentence, no empathy for the situation. I had to get on the phone to get them to honor the rate and also speak to his manager that was in the same building. He wouldn't even tell me that the manager was the 3rd person down to his left.
He even went as far as telling me when I asked to speak to his manager while on the phone with Economy that he is in charge and no one is above him here other than Jesus, you ask me who gave this guy this role? He doesn't even have respect for his direct boss who is in a position of authority over him while at work! I am going to post this everywhere so people can see the type of service to expect.

Both days an "Express Deal" was offered and both days after several attempts at booking, a screen pops up and says "We were unable to book the flight you selected, but we've got more great options for you to choose from!" So, I chose another option only to receive the same results.
Had a chat session with (Clark) support and was told "I know that this is an important matter, and we appreciate your business. However, your request was not accepted due to availability for the dates and city requested. I would strongly recommend you to book the reservation elsewhere for this particular trip. Rest assured, your credit card has not been charged." I totally understand Clark, I should have known better than to click on the wrong dates and wrong cities in Priceline's search engine. It was my fault, I am sorry for clicking the search results, what was I thinking? Next time I will make sure to only select dates and cities that are truly available. It's ok Priceline, I know it isn't your fault.
"I am sorry but our booking system is linked to our travel partners booking system, just as any other internet travel service or travel agency, and there can be occasional time lags which impact true reservation availability." It's your travel partner's fault. Priceline doesn't have control over their search engine and what is being offered, but not available. Priceline you have a fantastic business model in which you don't need customers. I know, you are right, it is too much work to assist booking a flight or see what can be done to make a sale. It is much better to send customers elsewhere, let them bug someone else. Hmmph, freaking customers trying to select flights on dates that just aren't available, go somewhere else you knuckleheads.
Side note, I called the toll free number just to see what they would say about the matter. I was told verbatim the exact same thing. Huh, Priceline is doing so well that they don't have to maintain their website, ensure accuracy on what is being offered, or assist customers to make a sale. Good for you Priceline, good for you! I went back and tried entering my price and went to the preview page and the received another Page Error. Clicked the back button and the page started showing the processing page and then it said my reservation was accepted. The problem is that I didn't submit a reservation and not for that area or star level.
I tried to call Priceline customer service and the prompts sent me in a circle 4 times and ended up hanging up on me. I started a chat with a representative Jean and she said she couldn't help because there was a contract. I explained to her the page error and she said there wasn't a page error but I clicked the buy now button. She was rude and said that there was nothing she could do.
It is so sad that Priceline does not have an option to refund if their page made a mistake. I book with them all the time and I will never book with them again. I called the customer service and just pushed buttons like I wanted to buy something and that is the only way you can talk to a representative, which is also sad. They don't want to talk to you if they already have your money. The representative said they would call the hotel to see if they could cancel the reservation. There was no answer and they said that I should call in the morning to get this taken care of - question why do I have to call them to do their job. This company is awful. Now, mind you it is Saturday night and I have to have a hotel by Monday.
I call in the morning and the first lady leaves me on hold for 15 minutes, then I hear the hotel answer and then they hang up on me. I call back through a bunch of wrong prompts and the same lady answers the phone and pretends like she is someone else. She calls and says that the hotel has to wait for the manager to approve. It is Sunday and I have to wait until the morning to get approval for a refund for a Priceline Website error; which I was informed may not be approved.
I spoke with a supervisor and they basically said the same thing... "We can do nothing and you pushed the button, I can send you my contract." So I said that "if your website makes a mistake that I have to pay for the purchase." She said "well not but there is a contract and if you purchase it then there is no refund." I said again "so no matter if I or the website make a mistake then I have to pay for it." She was as frustrated as I was. Then she said "you can call in the morning and we can resolve it." I said "why should I have to call for you to do your job. Why can't you mark this as urgent and get this taken care of."
She said "we can if you like but I would still call." Wow, just admitting that they don't take care of their jobs. This is sad and I will dispute this to the end. Priceline does not have customer service; so if something goes wrong know that you will get someone reading a script and saying no it was your fault and there is no override. No one at their company is allowed to a override anything according to all the representatives I have talked with. Now, I have to book another hotel because the hotel booked is in the wrong area and on top of that the wrong star level.

I was charged twice for one room in Traverse City, Michigan that we booked through Priceline. When we arrived the front desk indicated that Priceline only sent over one room when we had booked and paid for two rooms. However, she did have a room available (during peak season, right?) and would give it to us for the Priceline rate but we would have to pay for it with our credit card. She told us that Priceline does that all the time and we would just have to call them for a refund. We called them and they investigated it with the manager of the hotel and told us that they would not be giving us a refund because he told them "absolutely no refunds given". I pursued it with them and Priceline customer service did not respond any further. I also called the manager at the hotel. He indicated that we were a no show on the second room and he refused to give us a refund. His only advice was to not use Priceline!

Booked a room through priceline.com and did the option where they choose the hotel for you (cause I'm not independently wealthy and can't afford standard hotel rates). The hotel (Extended Stay America) they chose was horrid, as just minutes after we arrived and just opened the hotel door a big drug bust (or something) went down: 8 cop cars suddenly appeared, a dozen or more police with guns drawn and yelling, chasing people down. Kids were freaked out, I was freaked out. Had to take cover in the back of the room behind cabinets... when it quieted down we busted out of there like Speedy Gonzalez and decided not to stay there.
Priceline, nor the hotel, would give us a refund - absolutely refused. In fact, Priceline tried to blame it on me for choosing the "unknown at booking" option. This was after the front desk lady was rude to us on check-in because I asked for a two bed room (according to Priceline's instructions). Add both companies to the places I won't give my money to, any longer. What a horrible customer service branding example. And what horrible hotels they choose! I won't ever trust Priceline to choose hotels that are safe. If you're on a budget, there are better travel companies and hotels to use.

When we checked in, the hotel stated that our room was canceled by Priceline several days earlier. The hotel charged us again for the room, and Priceline denied canceling our reservation. The next morning, Priceline said we should send in our receipt for a refund within 3-5 working days. We sent the receipt the next day. We have made several attempts to resolve this matter with Priceline but we only get the runaround. They owe us $327.73 for the cost of the room. They have not honored their guarantee.

The front desk told us that Priceline books through a third party and mistakes happen all the time and to contact Priceline. When we called Priceline customer service they denied that breakfast was included and refused to do anything about it. They implied that we were liars and we were confused. The customer service line had other employees giggling in the background like it was a joke. They refused to do anything about it after being on the phone for 3 hours. We'll refund you 200% of the difference." But of course that's not really true. For the 100%, you have ONE day from the booking to initiate a claim. How often do fares drop in a day, especially for Christmas? Well, it did, by $140. Anyway, Priceline isn't parting with any refund.

Within 30 seconds I was on the phone with Priceline explaining that I had made a mistake 30 seconds before and booked a trip I didn't want. They confirmed that I had JUST done it and proceeded to refund my airline ticket, but said I'd need to call back to cancel my hotel. I called back the next morning to cancel my hotel and was told the hotel is non refundable and that it was the hotels decision and not Priceline's. I called the hotel to beg them and was told that they would indeed cancel and refund the hotel, but would need Priceline to send them a cancellation fax.
I called Priceline back, told them that I was told the hotel would cancel the reservation, but needed the fax. The representative confirmed then confirmed this to be true, but was unable to send a fax. I insisted there must be somebody at Priceline.com that can send a fax to the hotel. I asked for a manager thinking that maybe they had different access levels. She patched me through to her manager at "Customer relations" to a gentleman named Reuben. Reuben proceeded to confirm that even though the hotel would cancel reservations that nobody at Priceline could send them a fax requesting the cancellation. This seemed egregious to me! A 600.00 hotel which I have no ability to stay in cannot be cancelled because a multi million dollar company is unable to send over a fax to verify cancellation. I will NEVER use Priceline.com again for anything and will continue to update my family and friends via social media of this incident.

Priceline sent me to an outside company that said I had not "confirmed" the reservation--nothing said it needed to be confirmed and it even said "paid in full." It was embarrassing to me for the candidate and cumbersome for her. She had to find another hotel and the cost went up significantly. When I asked to talk to a manager, I was on hold for 45 minutes before hanging up. They made it seem that it was my fault for not knowing to confirm. There was nothing indicating that. This happened, although we put 2 adults and 3 children in for the occupants. While it was submitting, we tried to change the bed arrangements. It canceled the entire reservation. The reservation originally was $609 and some odd cents. We immediately got an email saying, it was canceled and we would get back $304 instead of the $609 since we did not cancel before Tuesday, 09/20/16. Common sense wise, that would not make any sense considering we did not make the reservation until the 22nd of September. We tried to contact them immediately, because we didn't actually want to cancel the reservation just wanted to switch bed arrangements and all they could say was "I'm sorry you feel we stole from you, we cannot do anything about it."
This mind you, was us contacting them within a 2 Minutes of the reservation and yes that was including waiting on hold. I went on and on with them, for over 10 minutes. All the response was a scripted message over and over. Please, please do not book with them, EVER! I told them, I have never had that much stolen from me within 30 secs to a minute in my life and all they could say was "I'm sorry you feel that way. We cannot do anything about it." I was buying an airline ticket for the conference trip to Salt Lake City. The price was fine, matching the other online sites (I only checked the plane ticket prices). Reassuring feature was that, "You could cancel the order if within 24hrs of purchase." Toward the end of process of ordering, Priceline offered a car for rent. I ordered that too for $270 (mid size for four days) with the idea if I do not like the price I have 24 hrs to cancel.
The he next morning I decided to check the car rental prices on other sites because it did not make sense that the airline ticket ($250) is cheaper than to rent a car. I noticed that I could have gotten the same car size for half the price. I immediately (within 10 hours of purchase) I contacted Priceline asking them to cancel the car rental option, but to keep the airline ticket. The answer was that I could not do that and that I was already charged. "It is in terms and conditions", the response was. My argument that I have about a month before I go on that trip, that Priceline did not specify that car rental is nonrefundable, and so on, did not work.
After two days of phone and e-mail correspondence I quit. I would understand their position not to let me cancel if they gave me a really good discount as a luring feature. But in their case they charged me the premium price and still did not allow me to cancel. Another ripoff feature was the fees: car rental $180 + $90 fees. You learn all of this once you press the buy button. From there on there is no way out.
This is the second time I had problems with Priceline. The trip to Europe ended up costing more when the other fees started piling up, which you learn off only once over there, which Priceline did not indicate at the beginning. Also, another time while on a trip to Europe, someone broke the glass on the driver's side of the car I rented through Booking.com. I paid for the repair, submitted the form for reimbursement (I purchased extra insurance) and again got nowhere. Booking.com by the way is Priceline. There will be no way that I will ever visit the Priceline site again. My recommendation to others is not to press Buy button until they check all the tricks that Priceline has in place to get them hooked.

The only disclosure they provide indicates "All rooms will accommodate up to 2 people. Any Special requests should be requested through your confirmed hotel". In thinking you are getting the best price in using Priceline, I think it would be wise to check hotels and airfares separately first. If the dollars are a little higher by not booking through Priceline, I highly suggest you go that route. They don't guarantee your seats when you pick your airfare. They have me and my friends spread out all over the airplane. And you don't find that out until it's too late and you can't switch. Then you put in special requests for hotels, i.e. deluxe room could be 2 queen or 1 king. You say you need 2 queen. And again it's not guaranteed. And when you follow up with them you have to call the hotel and airline yourself.
For me, I will never use them again. They are a headache. And you are going on a trip with a group. You want to start the trip together, be comfortable in the room, and end it together. I won't ever use them again. I would rather pay the extra money and do things my way... and not for anything, the hidden costs all add up to you paying the same in the end.

We are writing to bring to your attention a number of serious issues we experienced during our stay (August 5th to 7th of 2016) at Tryp Berlin Mitte Hotel. These issues made our stay at the hotel and in Berlin uncomfortable and unfortunate. Please note that we addressed all these inconveniences to the manager onsite who showed very little compassion. The issues include:
Reservation: On July 25th we reserved and paid for a room at Tryp Berlin Mitte Hotel through Priceline for the dates of August 4th to 7th. Unfortunately we had an urgent personal emergency in which we could not arrive on August 4th; instead we arrived on August 5th. Once we discovered that we were not able arrive on August 4th we called Priceline and the hotel on Monday, August 1st to request that our reservation be push back a day and to be reimbursed for the day we would not be there.
On that day the hotel did not respond to multiple phone calls, while Priceline indicated that they would talk to the hotel directly, since it was the hotel's decision to reimburse the night of August 4th. A Priceline agent (Summer) promised that they would call back within a few hours, yet they never did. On August 2nd we again called both the hotel and Priceline, this time the hotel did respond and they informed us that we had to go through Priceline for any changes to our reservation or potential reimbursement. Again Priceline told us that they would call the hotel and call us back, which again they did not do.
On August 3rd we called Priceline for a third time, but this time they recommended that we speak directly with the hotel in person when we arrive, which we found strange due to the fact that an employee at the hotel informed us that we had to deal with Priceline. We took their advice and when we arrived on August 5th we explained the situation to the receptionist, who then indicated that we should talk to his manager the next day. On the morning of August 6th finally spoke to the hotel manager yet he instructed us to email reception.tryp.berlin.mitte@melia.com and explain the situation and request the reimbursement, which we did that same day.
Then on August 8th Alexandra **, a Reservation Agent at the hotel, responded that a refund for the 4th was not possible. This was disappointing and somewhat surprising since for days we were bounced back and forth by the hotel and Priceline. This in our opinion is unsatisfying customer service for being a "four star" hotel.
Water leak in our room: On August 6th we returned to our room after breakfast to discover the ceiling vent had gushed water all over the floor less than a foot from our suitcase. We reported it to the front desk and immediately we were offered an "upgrade" in a new room, which we accepted. Thus we too had change rooms while we lost half a day of our already shortened visit to Berlin. Also during the move a portable charging devise was misplaced, we are not accusing anyone of taking it but while we were in the process of moving we came back to our original room to pick up our last few belongings and there was a member of the cleaning staff in the room. Needless to say that we have not seen it again.
Irritating, continuous ticking noise in the new room: On August 6th in the new room (explained above), we had an ongoing clock/ticking sound in the bathroom wall, which did not let us sleep all night and continued throughout the morning of August 7th. Misleading internet offer: On the Priceline website the hotel was promoted to include "FREE" internet, however when we arrived we were informed that we only had 150 mb of internet for only one device per 24-hour period (which in this day and age is next to nothing). If we wanted more internet we had to buy it. We expressed our surprise and dissatisfaction to the receptionist, thus they provided an internet voucher that only lasted an hour. Therefore every time we needed internet we had to go to reception and ask for more vouchers; this was extremely inconvenient, especially since we had to spend some much wasted time at the hotel dealing with all the issues listed above.
Bed bugs: On August 7th, the day that we checked out, Graham woke up with multiple bites on his arms and back. We had never opened the windows nor ever came across any bugs in our earlier travels. We are convinced that these bites were the work of bed bugs; We thank you for your consideration on these matters and we look forward to your timely response.

Upon picking up the rental car, the guy pushed me through the signature process and distracted me the whole time with conversation. I managed to miss the fee on there that doubled the price of the rental. I was barely able to afford the price quoted but didn't have a choice but to rent the car, so I was definitely not expecting to pay double. Upon calling the company and getting nowhere, actually, I was hung up on after being told I would wait for a manager 3 times, I called priceline about the issue.
They claimed they care and wanted to submit a complaint so I did. I have heard nothing since and that was 2 weeks ago. Shame on priceline for advertising a daily price that was waaay off. And I can promise I won't be using either of these companies ever again. I will also be sure to share this experience with everyone possible, in hopes to avoid them from having the same hassle. Be an honest company, and you wouldn't need to pay people to deal with these complaints. It's that easy. Good business, less issues, more return customers. Not this one.

When I clicked the "buy this car" button, I expected some estimate or summary to confirm before card was charged. None was provided. I was taken to a page which said the deal was final for $140.27 and again said I could be charged for seats. I immediately contacted Avis (the company which received the booking). They told me the cost of a car seats would be $39 each, so I was going to get hit with an additional $78 at the counter to get the car I was quoted $140.27 for. I then called Priceline back and explained I wanted out of the deal. For starters, it was no deal at all. Other companies were offering the same package WITH the car seats for far less (lowest was $180 total). They refused to allow me to cancel or modify the price to be competitive with other vendors.
This is a classic adhesion contract. During the application phase the language says I "may" be charged for car seats. Before offering the "buy car" tab they provide several passages of boilerplate language which most people ignore - including myself in this instance. In this language, it says I "will" be charged extra for the car seats. It is also unreasonable for them not to provide consumers with a good faith estimate of what these charges could be. In doing some research after this mess, I found that every major car rental company charges for car seats - so the "may" should always be "will" and we should be forewarned the price WILL go up above what they quote.
Next, these charges are nearly uniform. It is no small sum. The failure of Priceline to provide their customers with a warning of these widely accepted and known charges for extras that have been selected is gross misconduct and serves only to lure us into a deal which is known to be inaccurate and once the charges are discovered they refuse to let you out of the deal. Has the odor of the old bait and switch scams. I will never use them again.

The Priceline chat representatives were just USELESS. Waste of time. On the phone line provided, I couldn't get a human being to help me solve my issue. Disappointed.

I haven't witness such unprofessional with customer service. I rented a car in San Diego. I called to inform the company about my husband receiving orders to be deployed. I called several times to customer service (ryan/Sassie) which I couldn't understand their language. I was asked to give them his commander's officer name and number. My husband told me that he wouldn't give me that information, so why would your company requested that. I told them several times that I would fax them a copy of his orders when he receive them. I was told that was unacceptable.
We have use this website several times because we do travel a lot (using rental cars/Flights/Hotels) but after this experience we will not. I will make sure to tell all my contacts on my social media about this and also my husband said that he would tell the soldiers he comes in contact with on all bases. I called hertz in san diego (619-767-5700) and explained to them about the orders. I asked that manager if he would have a concern canceling the request. He said no. I was instructed to call Priceline and tell them. So, why was it a problem with doing just that? I will be contacting the authority general office to report this incident. Is this the way your organization support the military?

We have been using Priceline for years, we even have a credit card through them. Throughout the years we have spent thousands of dollars with Priceline. This last winter we had to cancel an airline ticket. We contacted Priceline and we were told to contact United. After cancelling we had a credit left over after cancellation fees, or so we thought. We tried to use the credit and we were told that United charges a $200 cancellation fee when it's booked by a 3rd party and that there was another $75 cancellation fee. The $200 fee wasn't disclosed, EVER! Priceline's customer service is not here in the States nor were they helpful, honestly it was the worst experience that we have ever encountered. There are better travel sites and we will never use Priceline again. We are shredding that Priceline card up! Please be cautious if you choose to use them.

I booked a car online on Priceline, got a nice price as I had the option of bidding and also bought the LOSS DAMAGE COVERAGE for extra US$11 for 2 days. After two days I dropped the car I could see an extra charge of $93 Canadian dollars on my credit card charged by Avis car rental. After speaking to the customer service about the extra charge the Avis company tells me that the online loss damage coverage didn't show up when I picked up the car. So I call up Priceline and they tell me that I signed the document at the counter for loss damage coverage of extra $93 CAN.
So my question is why on earth will I pay TWO SEPARATE loss damage coverage for a economy rental car? Later I came to know that the Priceline did not submit my loss damage coverage to Avis and I get charged twice for someone else's negligence. Great work to make money for both companies. So be careful whenever you pick up the car at the counter, those people are hand in hand.

Priceline.com has made of my family's vacation a nightmare. First, I checked in at Cabana Bay Beach Resort on Aug 26, 2016 around 11pm and the hotel said that Priceline.com had not deposited the cash for my stay even though I had paid for my reservation in full. After roughly 45 minutes, the hotel manager let me check-in without charging my credit card again, mentioning that it was common for Priceline.com to delay payments and keep guests in the same situation I was in.
That solved, I wake up on the next morning to the sound of a crane (photo attached). There is a hotel expansion under way and Priceline.com was not transparent about this. The hotel recognized that even though my travel agent should have warned me about the construction, they understood the inconvenience to my family, especially my toddler waking up with the workers, and credited me for USD 150. I called Priceline.com on Aug 30 and after 30 minutes on the line with Layla, I was told that Priceline.com was not responsible for the issues (delayed transfer of funds and lack of transparency about construction on site). This is not a serious way of doing business and Priceline.com will not see me as a customer again. I hope other customers are aware of these practices before they take their chances with Priceline.com.

I booked with these scammers for 1 day 1 night stay in Ottawa with my wife. The listing clearly stated 1 room with queen sized bed for $129. I booked and paid $150 including tax. However, when I reached, I was given one room with 2 separate small size beds. The hotel told me this is what Priceline booked for me. I was in good mood and let it go and stayed in that room and hoped the price will be adjusted accordingly. When I checked out, I was given an Invoice of $117.55 confirming my assumption that I am being charged less for the lower grade room. So now I have returned home, and seeing the transactions, it says I am still charged the full $150.
When I called Priceline to sort this out, this is what I was told: 1) Our contract mentioned that the queen size bed is not guaranteed, you should have read it. 2) The invoice of $117.55 you got from the hotel was NOT meant for you, it was given to you by mistake by the front desk of hotel. That is our wholesale price not supposed to be disclosed to our customers. Furthermore, she said, "We do not refund our customers. This is our company's policy to not refund customers." My problem here is that in the hotel listing, it never said "Queen or lower size beds" it only says "queen sized bed". However, in their contract they have inserted this line that the size is not guaranteed which almost everyone of us will fail to see. Furthermore, if they do provide the lower size bed, shouldn't they be refunding the difference? I wish I had read the reviews here before I booked with these people. I figured the process was unsuccessful since I had used it before and it behaved in a way it never had. I received a reservation confirmation in my email to an absolutely outrageous rate. They didn't honor the best price and didn't want to cancel or refund the hotel that I reserve 3 months in advance. Since they didn't wanted to do anything for me, I call the bank and made a dispute. I also call the hotel and spoke to the manager. The manager told me that he was going to give Priceline 100% of the money back as good will to me and he did.
Priceline instead of taking the commission and give me the hotel rate back told me that because I have a dispute they couldn't give me anything. The Priceline employee that I spoke to call the hotel, got money back and told me he was going to refund me the money, but I needed to contact my bank to get the hold out of the account. It asks for an age, and you put it into the system for your confirmation, but doesn't put a warning or notification that you aren't going to be allowed to drive. Confirmation will be complete. No information on whether you're allowed to drive is known unless you call. When you call they will say, "we can definitely cancel your reservation, but with a $39 fee. All of our policies are fully laid out on our website, including the age of the drivers."
My rental was through Priceline through Alamo. Priceline should be transparent about other rental company's age rental policies before allowing customers to file reservations. I do not recommend Priceline and will not be using it again. I paid for my hotel via Priceline and went in to check in, and was rejected without refund. Why? Because I have 5 little kids with me, which exceeds the number of people permitted. The reason I have a problem with Priceline is this. On their original form, they asked how many ADULTS would be using the accommodations. There was no reference for children. Also on the same form BEFORE I submitted my consent to reserve the room, the only reference was to ADULTS. Only AFTER my form was submitted was there any reference to 2 PEOPLE being the maximum number. This is deceiving. Children are NOT adults, and most places do not accommodate children the same way as they accommodate adults. I had no way of knowing this would be such an issue. We were rejected.
I was forced to spend the night in an unsafe parking lot with 5 young kids--compromising much more than our comfort, but our safety. It was HOT! Do I leave the car on with air so the baby doesn't overheat, but possible risk exhaust fumes from filling up the back where 3 are sleeping? Do I roll down the widows, but make us targets of vulnerability? We were clearly in an unsafe area. Do I drive around for hours while the kids sleep, compromising all of our safety from being personally exhausted? Anyways, I had to weed through these scenarios--all while consulting multiple different hotels for a room or conjoining rooms.
I tried to get a refund. It was Priceline's fault their info isn't clear. They were not able to get one. I chatted with them at least 5 times, and was hung up on several times--whenever there was a question they couldn't answer. Priceline.com offer huge saving with NO customer service. First off you get an email to say you have saved 29 percent on booking. Phone to enquire and get told it is the prices from the hotel. Actual hotel is CHEAPER plus includes breakfast. Second the booking is made through Agoda.com. No wonder they closed their UK site down as you would not get away with that fraud in the UK.

This is my first time to use Priceline. I bought a vacation package to the San Juan with flight, hotel and car rental. I cost a lot of time searching the information on the Priceline. I finally decided to fly from Cedar Rapids to San Juan. However, after I paid this order, the departing location became St. Louis!! I read over five times before I paid it, and I was really sure it was Cedar Rapids. I do not know why the location changed!! And then I contact the customer service, and the only option is cancel my flight and car with full refund, but the hotel fee is non-refundable. This is my first time to use Priceline, and obviously, it is really bad experience. And will never use it again!!!

So, the day after I posted this I tried calling to talk to a person instead of chatting with one. I called and told them that I felt that I was frauded when I was given a ticket to return home 2 days after my departure date. They informed me that they could grant me a one-time cancellation. I accepted that cancellation and cancelled my ticket. (Prior to that call I talked to the airline on which the ticket was booked and they informed me that Priceline had to honor their cancellation policy, which meant they would have to allow me to cancel within 24 hours).

I just purchased airfare from Salt Lake City to Helsinki using the "Priceline Exclusive" feature, which gives you a range of departure times and a few informational warnings, in my case my return flight had the following advisements: "departs Mid-day between 10a and 6p," "0 - 2 stops (Maximum layover: 19 hours)," "May arrive next day." I figured if I arrive the next day that's ok, I had seen a couple itineraries where that was the case. So I booked it and was surprised to find myself with 37 and a half hours of layovers (19 hours at one stop, 18 hours 37 minutes at another). And I didn't arrive the "next day", I arrive the day after that. The website doesn't say anything about the maximum layover time being per stop, and the "May arrive next day" blurb is not even next to the stop count so there is no reason to think that applies per stop.
I chatted and spoke with an agent for quite some time, the agent was nice and polite, and understood how I was misled (I believe the 19 hour max layover is misleading because it doesn't say per flight, but the "may arrive next day" is a lie, because I don't arrive the next day, I arrive 2 days later). But ultimately I was told that I was advised of the restrictions and so I could not change or cancel it. Even though I was not told that I could arrive 2 days after I departed.

For an upcoming trip, I needed to make a hotel reservation. Google suggested booking directly through Priceline. I entered the correct dates, then proceeded to move the menus, pick and confirm a room. However, at the confirmation page, I had incorrect dates. I tried to immediately connect with chat. I was disconnected several times. When I finally got through, the individual was completely unable to help, unable to cancel. The best he could do was offer to call the hotel for me and tell me I needed to reconnect with their customer service again on Monday. Useless and now a problem.

I recently tried to use Priceline Express Deal on airfare IAH to YYC return. It was an irritating and frustrating effort. The advertised pricing was 332.29 and after the purchase button, I completed all the passenger information, only to have a pop up say "Price has increased to 751." Since there were many choices of flights that day, at slight varying pricing, I tried about 5 of them. Same story, pop up to 751. This can only be interpreted as a bait and switch advertising, and is a poor route for Priceline to pursue. My chat with a representative produced no help, and only frustrating excuses. They have just lost yet another customer of expensive purchases due to their misrepresentation of the product.

Made a reservation for a business trip. The business meeting was cancelled. The trip protection plan did nothing, I could not get my money back for the hotel reservation. Trip protection to me is just a scam to milk customers another $5.00 for nothing in return. It is totally useless, just ignore the "highly recommended" next to trip protection if you use Priceline.

Priceline cancellation policy is a joke. I cancelled my contract, didn't stay at the hotel and they still charged me for all 4 days. They said I couldn't cancel (!!!). When I called in for support - both online and via phone - there is no one. I believe the on-line support is robots as they didn't answer any of my questions. What a joke. Stay away from Priceline!!!

I used priceline to get a low price on a vacation package and I did but we had a problem when we were late to our flight and they could not do an absolute thing for us. They were charging us an outrageous fee to get the next flight and then they were going to cancel our hotel reservation so we were going to find a whole different hotel which was going to be another outstanding fee which ended up being worse. I learned my lesson. Next time I'm just getting things through the actual place because all priceline is after is your money. They say they care about their customers but they don't and when you try to contact them through email they don't even sympathize. We couldn't get any type of refund or credit of some sort. I am done with them. Never again will I use them.

Purchased plane tickets through Priceline. Needed to change destination due to child custody issues. Called Priceline to make changes, put me on hold and never answered. Since the flight was with Delta, I called Delta and had to change everything which cost more and charged an extra $50.00 because it was initially booked through Priceline. $491 later per ticket. I called Priceline and explained how the flight was canceled and needed them to reimburse me for the Travel Protection Ins because the initial itinerary no longer existed.
Would not reimburse me $32 Travel Protection Ins for a flight that was to never happen. It is plain stealing, to pay for insurance for something that will never happen. Will never purchase anything through them and I hope no one else does, go directly to the source and skip the middle man. Their insurance is a scam, customer service is a joke and they are plain stealing from hard working people. You have been warned.

Brought the car back by 11:30 am Wednesday so it was actually 2 days... PRICELINE will not refund the extra day... Will never use them again for anything...

I booked a hotel room at Rodeway Inn in Blanding Utah for Wednesday night, July 27. At 0100 Wednesday morning, a man who barely spoke English with a strong Indian or Pakistani accent called and woke me up. He identified himself as a fraud control representative for Priceline.com and he said I had used this credit card fraudulently. He started asking me questions about my card. I told him I was not willing to discuss my card over the phone. He asked me for the number on the card. I told him I would not give it to him. He told me he meant the phone number on the card, not the card number. I gave him the 800 number on the back of the card. He began to get frustrated and raised his voice demanding that I give him MY phone number, not the number on the back of the card. I told him that he had just called me, why did he need my phone number.
He said my phone number was not the number the bank had for the person who owned this card. I told him I have four telephone numbers. He told me to pick one and it better be the right one or he would cancel my reservation. I told him to go ahead and cancel it. He said he would and hung up on me. I contacted Priceline via chat and they confirmed to me that it had indeed been one of their reps that had called me. I called the hotel directly and made a fresh reservation, telling them the complete details of my conversation with Priceline. They told me that Priceline had told them that someone from Norway was trying to use my credit card and that it was fraudulent. Priceline also reported this to my bank and asked them to put a hold on my card. My bank called and I was able to convince them I was me.
Now I have been billed by both the hotel and Priceline for the room. I have contacted Priceline and asked them to refund the $99 they charged and they told me they would not refund the money because the reservation was "confirmed". The hotel will not refund the money either, saying that my problem is with Priceline.com, not them. I am shocked that a business with these practices is still in business. Please help me warn people not to be cheated by them.

I booked a hotel room in downtown Vancouver BC through ExpressDeal by Priceline.com. Priceline.com rated the the hotel as 3 stars and showed customer satisfaction as 7.4/10. It also provided a list of "comparable hotels" and the price. After the booking, Priceline.com sent me an email and let me know that the hotel I booked was "Coast Plaza Suite Hotel". I clicked on the link to the hotel, which showed a set of nice pictures of the hotel. I clicked on the customer review which were "verified" by Priceline.com, but I was horrified by the negativity from the recent comments sent by Priceline's customers. To list a few: "it's a dump...", "our room smell like urine", "I Sat down on the bed and got a big bite", "the wifi was so horrible it was unusable..." All these comments were from within two weeks.
I called Priceline's customer service to express my concerns of the hotel and misleading ratings. Since I have not start the trip and called within an hour of booking, I thought I should be able to switch to a different hotel. After 4 layers of escalations with the customer service representatives (if they were real) and long waiting, they basically told me there is nothing they will do and I cannot escalate further. The last supervisor (the highest level I could reach) told me the 7.4/10 rating was from averaging all customer's comments since 2014. However, he would not address the obvious low rating from the recent comments. Anyway, I may have to move to another hotel at my own expense. My advice would be, do not use Express Deal from Priceline.com, the rating may not be trustworthy, or better, do not use Priceline.com unless you have to. (I confess, I do not know if other sites are better).

I was booking 2 rooms for 3 nights in Toronto, Canada. I was sitting in my own home in Ottawa, Canada when I did the booking. While other sites such as hotel.com charged around $140 in Canadian dollars, I truly believed the priceline.com price of $121 was in Canadian dollars. I thought the reason for this lower price was that I had to pre-pay for the rooms. Then my credit card bill came--I was charged $121 US dollars, with 2.5% conversion charge! Then my boyfriend and I went back to read the original itinerary--it took the two of us more than 10 minutes to find this fine print of "prices are in USD", in greyed out fine print and far away from the "Total Charge".
Two problems here: 1. Why didn't the site default me to CAD if I am booking a hotel in Canada, sitting in my Canadian home? 2. Why wasn't the price shown as US$121 if you default my site to the USD? When I manually changed my currency from USD to CAD, the prices are shown as C$187. The site is very misleading to Canadian customers in prices. I could have booked the same hotel from other sites 25% cheaper than priceline.com! When I search the web, I found tons of similar complaints from Canadian customers. They need to fix their website if they are not intentionally misleading their Canadian customers. I talked to their customer services but all she stated repeatedly was that I was charged by the contract (which was misleading). Next step I will make an official complaint to the Canadian organisations governing consumer services. Priceline.com should not be allowed to operate in Canada as it is today.

I booked a hotel for 2 nights with Priceline. I booked a bigger room for me and my daughter with 2 beds. I got my itinerary over email a few nights before the stay and it was wrong. It had us in a regular size room with two beds. I spoke to 3 people at Priceline. The first one I spoke with was rude. I said "So what you're telling me is my contract when I booked the room says a queen room (the larger room) with two queen beds. And my itinerary on the email says a regular room with two queen beds." I asked her this 3 times. And her response every time was "I'm sorry for the inconvenience." I said if you're not going to answer me I will hang up and call back. Which is what I did.
The next lady I got was very nice, actually spoke English, and transferred me to a higher-up person. When I spoke to him he said the only thing he could do for me was cancel my reservation. That doesn't help me out when my trip is three days away and the hotel I needed to stay at doesn't have any rooms that I booked in the first place, have any of those rooms left! Such a disappointment. This is the first and last time I will ever book with Priceline!

Price matching! Customer service tell me to read the website because she told me that you can only get one match price and that's a lie so I called in again and I said I read it on the website. The only stipulation is that's only a day to match the price. Website's cheaper and I called in again and wouldn't honor it. It sounds just like Booking.com person that runs that business tell the workers lie. I blame it on the CEO. He runs both of them business Priceline and Booking.com. But I think word gets around cause I'm never going back to that company Priceline or Booking.com. I will not tell anybody about these companies. Lol. :-)

At Priceline, there is definitely a problem with the cancellation policy. The cancellation fee was about the same price as our stay! We tried to change our two night stay to a one night. The cancellation fee was $288.48 for ONE NIGHT! Priceline was a terrible experience for me and I would recommend any other hotel reservation service platform. DO NOT GO TO PRICELINE.

I went to book a hotel for a 2 night stay in Pittsburgh, PA. I had gone through the process and the final (with tax) was 254.48. It then proceeded to tell me my credit card information was incorrect, twice. I was then re-directed to a page that said my reservation was not made. I then hit the back button and tried to book again. The time difference was within 5-10 seconds. Keep in mind that this hotel's availability had not changed at all. Now my final price (with tax) was 282.74. I still booked the room because I needed it but it was a total rip off. They pulled a fast one on me and got me for almost 30$. The weird thing is that there was two pending transactions on my credit card, one for 254.48 and one for 282.74.
I called customer service and they explained to me that there was only one reservation made and that the first charge would not be applied to my card. I then proceeded to plea my case on getting the original price of 254.48 for my room. I told them what had happened and explained that obviously the charge went through and that I had put my information in correctly or else the pending charge would not show. They told me that there was nothing they could do and that I "must have input the wrong information."
How is that possible if I was charged for it and I used the same exact information for the second charge? Something isn't right there. They said the prices can jump in a matter of seconds, which I believe to be true. But not at this hotel, during this time of the year, for any particular reason would the price jump almost 30$ in a matter of less than 10 seconds. I know for a fact the hotel availability had not changed due to the openings posted before and after. I am very disappointed and will not use Priceline ever again. I will never refer using Priceline and will actually tell everyone I know to never use Priceline. This was a scam and very, very disappointing.

Thank you Priceline I will miss my grandmother funeral because I can not afford to purchase another ticket, plus the difference and the 250$ name change!!! Never again will I purchase from this company!!!
