We was invited for information about Global upgrade. Was given an option of 125.00 cash or 150.00 gift card. We chose 150 cash. At the end of what supposed to be one hour turn into two hours, but they stated they didn’t have 125 cash so we had to take the 150 gift card which we didn’t want.

RUN. RUN. IT'S A SCAM. HAVE NOT BEEN ON ONE VACation, you have 7 days to cancel once you sign up so cancel. If you want to cancel you have to pay the remainder of your loan and make sure you do it before the month of your annual fee. I will be canceling by the end of this year. It’s not easy to book, I was told they had Bali vacation houses and there aren’t any. I knew it before signing up and should have listening to my gut feeling and shouldn’t have came to the damn presentation. Stay home. Just swallow the $50 bucks you gave to get a free trip or just look up reviews while you’re in the presentation. Don't sign up please. You will thank me later.

1. We have been previous timeshare owner (RCI) and our contract had expired. We had been looking for something to replace it and knew how RCI worked already. The RCI Extra and Last Minute Vacations are what we have used several times. Both all inclusive and non all inclusive. The all inclusive resorts usually are equal to or less than you can book elsewhere. But, the big advantage are all the extra Perks you get. Members dinners, top shelf liquor, better rooms and location of rooms, members lounges, preferred dining, private beach area with services etc. Depending on the resort. I have not had to book with points yet. With that said I can always "buy" more points from other RCI members. We have taken our kids and friends along several times.
2. Booking Cruises Option: We have gone on several cruises and I have not found a single site that can match their price. (They will price match IF you can find a cheaper price) Cruise bookings are made through the largest cruise booking company in the background that have dedicated representatives just for GEVC members. They are fantastic to work with.
3. Tour Booking Option: We also have booked European tours and others through GEVC. They are connected with the major tour companies. Once again, prices and service have been very good. Their pre-tour follow-up is excellent.
4. Booking Hotels Option: Sometimes cheaper sometimes not. I always check.
5. Annual fees are really quite cheap compared to other companies. AND it includes your yearly RCI Platinum level fee that is over $150.
We got several "free" trips also which we took. We understood we would be responsible for the taxes and those stupid resort fees some places charge. No big deal. Still was much cheaper that booking it straight out.

This is a huge SCAM. We were approached at a water park about going to hear about a great vacation club. It is not what it seems. The promise of free tickets was completely false. You have to pay $50 fee for the tickets. You have to select certain dates that you want to travel, three different dates, and then they tell you which date you can travel. We had this membership for several years before we could finally book something. We had 30,000 points but still had to pay an exchange fee and a upgrade fee. Additionally, when we finally got to our resort it was not that great. The lights went out the first night we were there. The power was still off the next day. Other units did not have a power outage. We had to move all of our things to a totally different unit across the campus. It was not a good experience.
I've tried to cancel my membership to no avail. I also tried to schedule a cruise. At the presentation we were informed that the rates for cruises were per cabin and not per person. However when I called to schedule the cruise I found out that the rate was per person and not per cabin. Lies, lies, lies. At this point I just want out! It is not beneficial for me or my family.

The "free" vacations are not free - at least $250 deposit on each. The discount on the lowest advertised price on hotels & cruises is non-existent. They say they will reimburse you the difference, but it doesn't happen. I was charged a $156.13 monthly fee, $388 processing fee, & $395 annual membership fee the first year. The annual fee went up to $416 this year. I've been trying to cancel since the day after I signed the contract. I'm $4,100 & 19 months into this contract and I've never taken a single trip. Caveat emptor!!

I finished paying the 10k they changed and I have not unused since before 2020. I have told them to please stop changing the annual maintenance fee and they have the audacity to say I need to surrender my deed that cost me 10k. Run. Don't get sacked into their promises.

This business is a complete scam. They sell you a pot of gold in the presentation and what you get is a pot of crap. I paid over $7k for this membership and in the 5 years I paid it off, I could never find a single booking. Also, to point out all you are doing is buying points each year. You really don't own anything but a membership. You have to pay monthly, and, in the event, you do book something it cost you $500 min each time. Plus, during the presentation, they show you all these great places you can travel. Once you complete your setup with them you find out none of the places, they showed you are available unless you upgrade to a higher package. Save your money and headache, avoid this place.

GEVC/RCI partners with Casablanca Express for their "Free" trip giveaways. The sales event you sit through is at GEVC's location and the "gifts" they give out are from them there. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if all these companies fall under the same main umbrella corporation, to maximize on their scam. Fun fact, they're not free, actually cost more than booking online. It's meant to be the same kind of experience you'd have with them. Well... that's not saying a lot. Added little detail, this company piggy backs off the BBB rating of Resort Condominium International (RCI). Which these days RCI still has an A+ rating but the complaints... well.
If getting charged full price after the deposit is what happens on these Casablanca Express trips, imagine paying $12k+ for a "lifetime" membership and still having to pay for your holiday on top of that. So we finally booked and went on our first (and last) trip with Casablanca Express. We sent in the $50 deposit, there is no website for you to track all your trips. You have to call customer service to get things booked. They don't send you confirmation emails, you have to hope you wrote down the details for when to book etc. Even back in the 90s you'd be given some kind of confirmation from a travel agent. This seems like a good way to get $50+ and have people forget about it.
Now, they don't tell you this until it's time to book the stay, like a month out from the travel day. They tell you it's a motel included in the "free" trip but won't tell you the name of it. If you want anything that's just clean and close to activities you'll have to upgrade, total $239. We stayed at the Hyatt Place Denver Downtown, Denver, you haven't saved any money at all with the $50 deposit and the Upgrade fee. We were meant to get a couple of activities and valet parking included as well as "free" tickets to our local stadium. That didn't happen.
The trip has to happen during the week. And you won't get anything within 60 days. Our trip was to Denver without airfare in early November. Prices aren't exactly crazy from the hotels themselves $136/per night at the time. Prices from booking sites are even cheaper, with some as low as $95 per night at the time - since you can only travel with these guys on the off season. All in all a complete rip off. GEVC, RCI and Casablanca Express will tell you they have THE BEST stay prices... but clearly they don't. I'll just be using the booking sites from now on.
Don't bother with these companies unless you want someone to tell you when you can/can't travel, and to pay essentially a premium for the stay. Glad we didn't have air fare "included", and didn't buy the membership they were trying to sell. This was our first family trip with our baby. We're not exactly swimming in free cash.

Do not participate with this company. I tried to book dates and they are always not available and I lose points when I don't use them. I was young and foolish when I signed up with them years ago, I purchased and within the next 24 hours I tried to cancel. They are not nice at all, they refused to work with me. I have never used their service and from what I understand, they are not a real timeshare. I am so not happy with them. It's a scam!!! I don't have the money or effort to sue them.

Total scam!! They will not let me cancel my membership and they also did not say I would be paying a loan back, never said ANYTHING about a loan. They will just say “it’s on your flash drive” total scam. I will be taking legal action!! So many hidden fees they do not tell you about either. PLEASE DO NOT EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING THIS!!

Stay away for this and RCI. It is a timeshare. They try to tell you it membership and when you try to cancel they don't. Months later still fighting this. They take the calls on cell phones so not tracked on cancelling. It's not recorded. Nothing. I have called so many times. We was lied to. They will turn up speakers so loud to distract you into signing contracts for timeshare. Will be seeking legal help.

The interface is not 508 compliant. We are just paying for something we will never be able to use. This was a huge disappointment because we actually trusted that this company would deliver on the promises. The site is not user friendly at all and there are never vacations available that align with our search parameters. We have even called the customer service line and tried employing those services, who admitted it may be better to try Groupon vacations, which I didn't know were a thing. I will be glad to pay this off and close the account.

Cancel within 7 days from the date contract was signed and all money is refunded and contract is canceled. YOU ONLY HAVE 7 DAYS! THIS IS A SCAM! DO NOT WAIT THE 30 DAYS THEY TELL YOU TO TO SEE THE DEALS. The deals aren't there. Your contract tells you exactly how to cancel and follow it to a T.

This is a total scam. We've called every number that they have and have spoken to several people and only got the run around; including the scam artist manager that lied to us and sold us an expensive fairytale. We have been trying to cancel this non-beneficial service a week after we set it up and to no avail. Don't fall for it. It is a complete lie and there is no such thing as customer service after they get your money. We are planning to file suit.

This is the worst timeshare scam ever. The hotels and villas that they show you in the presentation is not what you book or see when trying to book. The rooms are less than par and I WILL NOT allow me nor my family to stay in these locations. They are the dump and the bottom of the pool for hotels with ratings of 1.5's. This is horrible. I feel I have lost lots of money on an investment that I will never use. Also Customer support is horrible. You can never reach someone to actually have a conversation with. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE!! If you go to a presentation do not sign up.

Huge Scam! I concur with everyone else leaving 1 star reviews. We didn't care about the RCI points but were very interested in the GEVC discounts. They would show 1 resort in Hawaii that looked like a great deal, $595 for 5 nights at a 5 star. When you finally get your login there are no deals like that to be found. The prices for cruises and hotels were the same deals you could get on any travel site. Do not fall for this.

Don't do it.. Don't do it.. Don't do it.. They lied from the start stating I could cancel at anytime, they promised benefits that you will not receive, they will charge you hidden fees and drain your account. You will not be able to use your points like you think you will. Customer service is a joke with this company. Please say I have not reached out, I have the records if you want to lie again. This company should be shut down for how dishonest they really are. When I requested to cancel like my sneaky and shady salesman told me I could do I receive a letter stating they have my signature. I've turned the matter over to legal assistance to help rid my life of this company.

Absolutely the worst investment ever. Not at all the way they presented it and sales person lied straight to my face letting me know I could cancel. You pay monthly plus an annual fee ($2900) to get 7 days of a hotel in restricted times and locations and still have to pay additional $299. $3199 for the worst hotel I have ever stayed out. If you don’t use it, it expires and now you really have paid for nothing. The worst rip off. Do not believe them, do not give them any money. You are much better off taking their free offers to court you (which you still have to pay for in some way) but not invest in a life time of debt.

SCAM!!! Do not buy into their scam. We paid almost $10,000 and got nothing, literally nothing. The points they give you annually for almost $500 annual fee does not give you anything. I had 30000 points after 3 years and when I tried to book a room they offered me the crappy hotel in Colorado and despite having the points I had to pay more than I would have pain if I had no membership of anything. They take you to the presentation room and share false advertisements of exotic vacations and once you buy into the program, when you try to book a vacation, nothing is ever available. I would say use that money to give yourself a nice vacation instead. BIGGEST REGRET OF MY LIFE. After paying $8000 for membership and $500 for 3 years, I am canceling my membership because I literally did not get to take a single vacation with it.

My wife and I met a representative of this company at a food festival at Texas live last month. His presentation was very convincing. We would pay him $50 to go to Irving when we were able in the next couple of weeks and listen to a timeshare presentation for 90 minutes and we would get a 4 day Vegas vacation and the $50 would be refunded in the form of a free dinner at a local restaurant. We arrived at the site in Irving Tx and we found a lobby full of what I would describe as working class people. Many of them were couples who looked to be in their early to mid 20s. The representative at texas live mentioned that the sales pitch would be an investment of between 10k to 12k for the timeshare package plus a yearly maintenance fee. I didn’t listen closely because I never had any intention of buying any package.
Back to the lobby. She person at the counter gave me clipboard which had me fill out details about me and my wife: phone, address, birthdate…and as I was filling that out my wife was reading me all the negative reviews. As she read those, I took a closer look at the crowd and the people doing the presentation. Those coming in and calling the couples back for presentations were all pretty young women. One of them had a dress on that was so short, she couldn’t bend over an inch without showing everyone what color underwear she had on- if she had any on. And the crowd. Again, all seemed to be working class and/or young who had no business committing 12k for something this risky.
I read about all those folks who also put $50 upfront with the promise of getting it back in the form of a free dinner. The girl at the counter was speaking with one of the applicants and she told them the $59 would be in the form of a coupon. Which mirrors what many reviewers wrote: the $50 is not even $50. It is more of vouchers that can add up to $50 after you visit a restaurant many times. I stopped filling out the paper, folded it, put it in my pocket, gave the clipboard back to the girl and my wife and I walked out. A feeling of general relief fell over me. Be aware!

We got the membership 2 years back and haven’t found a single deal which makes our travel easier. You can definitely find better deals from Google than GEVC can. They just want to make money without offering service. I paid 10k and paying almost $350 per year just for nothing. This company is a HOAX!!! Never trust them. Please read the reviews before going forward with them. I regret spending money in gevc. Worst investment ever!

In a moment of weakness, I let myself be talked into their package thinking that some of the savings they promoted would justify the $7K investment. We tried frequently to search and book and could never find any availability at any of our choices, we broadened the scope of our destinations, same result. It's been 5 years and not a single use of the program. I've given up trying, and look at it as sunk cost. I just want to stop the mgt fees and assessments and cut my losses at this point. Tried once before to end the program to no avail.

We tried many times over the years to book places we wanted in the dates we wanted them. Never succeeded. Batting 0. Called customer service a few times to try other options and were literally told to go to a whole other country at least once. Amusing...If I say my family wants to go to Australia, we're not going to just decide to switch gears to Indonesia on your suggestion, but thanks for trying. We just gave up. Yet like any other timeshare (which they claim they are not), it's nearly impossible to get out of. At this point, I just want it gone. It's paid off. I'll lose that money, I don't care. Stop charging me maintenance fees and just go away.

This was a great experience initially going for the presentation. Unlike other presentations, they were transparent and when I considered joining after the presentation they were very patient answering my questions. Our family has attended several timeshare presentations and this was the first one we found that was within our budget and allowed us to save money when we vacation. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to travel and stay at beautiful resorts instead of hotels!

Initial contact started off good then came the misinformation. We have not scheduled the cruise yet so don't know how that will go. We paid $50 down and got that back as we were told if we went to their location in Irving, TX to pick everything up. The $50 gift card that we were promised so we could go and have a meal on them at maybe Chili's or Applebee's for example (which there is not even one that participates in my area) turns out to be some kind of discount card that accumulates discounts until you reach $50 and it's a pain the butt to redeem and use with short time limit once you do redeem the COUPON.
The bigger problem is for our FREE CRUISE which we were told about at the ST Fair of TX by LaCroy (spelling?) we were told that we had to pay the port taxes of $200. I specifically ask is that per person or total and he said that was total for 2 people. He said we also had to pay hotel taxes of $65 and again he said that was the total for 2 people. When we get to their location in Irving everything is per person so now the cost has doubled. Also when we arrived there was music in the waiting area loud enough to be a bar atmosphere. Everyone is taken back to a large room with each couple having their own GEVC representative, again the loud music is still playing and having to talk over it. Everyone goes to a room to listen to a presentation of why you should join the "vacation club".
The person doing the presentation is very nice but talks like an auctioneer that you can barely understand. He is trying to get you buy a $12,000 before the discounts start vacation membership on the spot. Once over you meet with your "representative" again to "sign up". Again the loud music is very distracting and annoying. It makes it hard to ask questions and understand their response which is what they seem to want. All they are interested in is getting their membership money that day. I have read many bad reviews about them and other vacation clubs. I will make another post (good or bad) if we decide to schedule the cruise. No telling what we will run into at this point that has been left out.

This place is a huge scam. They bamboozled me at a water park with my kids and promised these fantastic Disney tickets. When I got home I looked them up and realized it was a shady time-share company. If I didn't go to this presentation I'd lose my $50. I drove 90 minutes to watch annoying travel videos. Then I had to listen to this lady yammer for 35 minutes. The bottom line is you will be paying $12K plus $350 annual HOA fees and $500+ per trip without airway and if you don't go four weeks out of the year you have to pay large fees.
I had to speak to this sales guy and I told him I don't want this and I only take cruises. When I told him what I paid (I get big discounts) he said there was no way they could meet this. When I went to collect these Disney tickets, that was another scam! You have to mail something in and pay $50 in fees, very limited days, need to select three days in a 120 day window, and it's only for adults. I would have to pay full price for my daughters. No thanks! I felt bad for all the people who went for the carrot in front of them. Also, how are timeshares still a thing????

This company will not let you cancel out of their contract under any circumstances. Whether you’ve lost your job, broke, or unable to make use of the membership. They won’t even waive a yearly fee to cancel out a fully paid contract after years of not using the account. Do NOT buy into this scam! Waste of money!

We bought the biggest package they offer, 28 stars, for about $40,000. We did this so that we could start a travel reward program with the staff of our business. We have been using it for 1 full year now and I can say without a doubt, that we are so happy we did this. Me and my family have been using Global to travel about 1 week every month, plus we have sent our staff on 7 weeks this year (1 to Tennessee, 4 to Hawaii and 2 to Rome, Italy). That's 19 weeks of vacation time we used this year and some of them were Special Buys.
My wife and I were able to go to Aruba for 2 weeks at $99/week. When we arrived, it was an amazing gated community where the units were selling for $350,000. We also went to Cabo San Lucas this year and stayed at the Hacienda Encantada. Wow, this place had 7 restaurants on site and shuttle service into town. For Hawaii, it costs us $379 per week at resorts that start at $2600/week. Next up for us is a family trip to Washington DC and the resort is 2 blocks away from the White House! This has only been our first year and I feel like we have saved almost the entire $40,000 investment (19 trips x $2,000/week savings = $38,000). Plus, we will be handing it down to our kids when we are done traveling. Don't let the bad reviews scare you, this is a really amazing program and blows our other timeshare out of the water. We LOVE IT!

COMPLETE SCAM. I watched their horrifically unethical salespeople swindle nearly two-dozen working class people out of thousands of dollars for a timeshare program that offers virtually nothing in return. Appalled and disgusted.
