This company is calling me every couple of hours, saying someone referred me. I have told them not to call me, they ignore and insist that I should listen to what they have to offer. The most dunce and low level sales techniques.

This company has got to be a scam. They gave us a package of 7 night condo stay anywhere we wanted. So my husband booked our trip to Hawaii. During the process they said that we were all set. I asked them to email the information so I know when we are suppose to leave. 2 weeks before our vacation they finally informed us that we needed to mail in slip. When they never told us about. All they told us was we need to just register and we would be good. So we got that fixed. 2 days before our trip, they never booked our plane tickets. Which made things even worse. I took time off for work for this vacation and it didn't happen. So they offered us something close to where we lived, and my husband accepted.
After speaking with them again they told us we would be all set for this trip. Come to find out we weren't. The day before this trip, she emailed me and asked me if we were ready to go and I replied, "Yes, just email me the information." She never got my email until my husband called and asked about the outcome, come to find out she didn't even check it. Well that being said. This company is not good at what they do. They manage to screw up twice in a month time span. I would never use Bluegreen if they were the company around.

Bluegreen Vacations: Shame on you. Apparently the new Free is actually $1141.00. For two years we have been indulging one another - you with your regularly-timed phone calls to remind us to take advantage of all the amenities we signed up for one unassuming day in a mall while on vacation in Florida - and us jumping through hoops (you have no idea!) to accommodate your schedules and ridiculous restraints on availability to attend a timeshare presentation. Now we've come to the moment of truth, which turns out is only truth about your deception. We went to book our FREE Cruise you've been emphasizing to us over and over for two years now, and Go Figure - FREE in your world only, apparently, actually means $1141.00… which, by the way, is what the cost of a cruise is for anybody booking anytime via the internet. Do you really think the Regular Joe consumer is stupid? C'mon!
So, what have we gained from this experience… A $75 gift card, well-spent; two free nights in a not-anything-special Bluegreen hotel in a town that we didn't want to go to but did because places we wanted to go had no availability - what a surprise! The cliche about timeshares is true after all!; and a quickly-deflated anticipation and deep disappointment after our call to you to book our not-really-just-kidding FREE cruise. And, now, what have you gained from this experience…another (no doubt) loss of a prospective, ideal (as in income profile) client/member; and our promise to tell all of our other healthy-income-profile friends to avoid your ridiculously insulting scam. Good Luck and Goodbye!

In 2016, I saw some marketers of Bluegreen at a Walmart Store in Columbus, OH. I filled a form they gave to me and we received a call afterwards to come to Las Vegas for a presentation. We paid for the tickets but they offered us 2 free nights. While in Las Vegas, we received a presentation where the marketers promised us quite a lot of benefits and mentioned that our maintenance fees will be about $500 and the tax break we will get from IRS will pay for it. To be precise, we were told the maintenance fee will pay for itself. Also, we were told that we would have the opportunity to travel to anywhere in the world we desire by just giving them a call months ahead. I tried to walk away from them immediately but they would not... My wife, who had just gotten pregnant was in severe discomfort and we tried to take a break from this unending sales pitch but they tried everything to keep us there.
In duress, we signed their documents, which would turn to be the most regretful decision of my entire life. Fast forward to 2 months after, a credit card account was opened for my wife and I and we were asked to start paying some minimum amount of about $400 per month. Due to my wife's pregnancy and medical condition, she lost her job and we could not pay the bills. I managed to pay the minimum payments for about 6 months until the interest started to come in by January 2017. At that point, I took a second loan on my property to pay up about $24,000 of Bluegreen.
I tried to use this service the following year but that's when I realized the Maintenance Fees they promised to be around $500 was actually $1350! That was not all, I tried to do vacation in the Caribbean and I was told they only had 1 destination there and as at that time, hurricane had destroyed their only location. It means this service was not the right one for me. I contacted them and spoke with a representative on the phone who then mentioned that the things I was told were not actually the reality. SO, welcome to the real world of Bluegreen! On the other hand, they kept on calling me and sending emails to pay the maintenance fees.
Another bill came in saying that I should pay to extend the points from the previous or I lose if I don't pay to carry it over. Shortly after then, another email came that for me to have access to another global vacation feature I had, I needed to pay to renew that!!! At this point, I asked to be out of this deal. They gave a contact of a realtor that works for them and will help me. I called the company and I had to pay to list the home. After 1 year, no sale and I was contacted to renew for another 1 year! I reached out to Bluegreen and told them how the whole promises were broken and this was a scam. The only offer given to me was that they would give me an opportunity to donate to charity. I thought that was a good opportunity that would afford me to get some charitable tax break.
At the end, the value of about $24,0000 Bluegreen deal I got in June 2016 was valued by Bluegreen in June 2018 as about $2,400. It lost 90% in 2 years. I lost all the 2 years worth 30,000 points that I never used because there were no good destinations to travel to. So, today I'm left with nothing and I lost about $24,000 with this scammers. PLEASE LET NO ONE TAKE ANY OFFER FROM BLUEGREEN VACATIONS!

Got a call for this amazing offer. $250 reservation fee with a $250 meal card. A week ago, was presented with the same offer and I said I needed more time to decide. She said the offer was only good for that day. Anyways, 1 week later they call back and give me the SAME offer. So lies, already off the bat, red flag. I explained to the employee on the phone today that I need to discuss this offer with my wife, and he responded “you know I’m married and I can make my own decisions sometimes.” CLICK...what a **.

This vacation club is one of the worst scams. They show you all of these pictures of their resorts, take you on a tour of their sample accommodations, and then browbeat you into buying something. However, trying to schedule a vacation is an impossible nightmare. We requested an oceanfront two-bedroom condo. Instead, they booked us two one-bedroom units a block away from the ocean. When you go to their website to check availability, nothing is ever available. I am so disappointed in the Bass Pro Shops for being affiliated with this company that I refuse to shop there anymore. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

We went to a seminar on Blue Green and got a free 3 days stay at a hotel. This was in November 2015. Had a heart attack on Feb 1, 2016. Doctor says I can't travel but short distances, too much stress. Tried to have them take it back and just resell it so we don't have to pay any more, no! Asked how we can get rid of it. They suggest their own resale company but they don't resell it unless it's been paid off, what! We have contacted other resale companies and get the line "give us $$$ and we'll put it on our list". They won't take a commission on the sale. All money is up front. Meanwhile you have the maintenance fees. You haven't visited their place but must pay maintenance. Also the main owner of Bass Pro Shops is the main guy with Blue Green. That's why they sell it at Bass Pro. STAY AWAY, Don't buy, say NO, and run away!

We are owners, 20,000 points per year. Do not take the bait about using your points for other trips or places to stay that is not 100% owned by Bluegreen because you could pay to stay there for a lot less than you waste in points and fees. Trips has to be scheduled 11 months out in most cases that is a high season, also can not book more than 11 months out unless you have 60,000 points. Some places you can't book at any time because people with lots of points get to book their trip much longer out.
Bluegreen bugs the heck out of you trying to get you to do more meeting and more vacations to go to more meetings and you have to pay more. They dollar you to death, have to pay to roll your points from 1 year to the next and you have to pay your Maintenance Fees about 1 year early, or you can't book anything for the next year. I would think over 1/2 of owners lose lots of their points. This is not a way of vacationing cheap at all, this program is not made for someone that has to finance their timeshare. And it almost force you to use your points to stay in places you would rather stay somewhere else. I paid my timeshare outright, no financing, if I had to make the payments and pay the Maintenance Fees, I would not have the money to get there and do anything while I'm on vacation.
Bluegreen is not for people that is looking for a reasonable travel or for anyone that has money that can afford to go anywhere they want. It is not user friendly. The only people I can think of this program maybe for is, retired people that has a lot of points around 60,000 or more. I have heard of some of the people that just jumps from place to place all year round.

I agreed to the Bluegreen 300.00 promotional deal. I picked Las Vegas as the destination. They tell you that you are checking into Club36 i.e. staying, but it's not the case. They book you into an "affiliate hotel" which is the antiquated Tropicana hotel. It's a bait and switch. Then customer "service" tells you that they need to listen to the calls you've had to see if they ever told you that you'd be staying at club36. Yes you are checking into club36, but only for the seminar. Actually I paid for an extra night at club37. They charged me club36 price for my extra night. STAY AWAY. It's laughable. This is how they wish to earn your business to buy a timeshare? If this is the lengths they'll go to for 300.00 can you imagine the mess that timeshare contract would be???

We purchased a resort stay for 3 nights/4 days for $200 from a representative in Bass Pro Shop in Memphis, TN. After going online and booking a resort in Virginia, we received a confirmation call and they said they were putting us in a hotel. This hotel could be booked cheaper without going through them and we booked a resort not a hotel. After confirming this on our end, we called back and they gave us an “upgrade” to the original resort we booked. Once again confirming the arrangements. Today (2 weeks before our trip) we got an email to confirm the plans and it asked if we made a certain amount. Since we make just under, we said “no”.
They called us and said they could not have us come because we didn’t meet their specifications. This was the first time our income was an issue or brought up at any time during the process. Sadly they would not refund $200 because their “gift” of $50 for signing up was a lie as well. When I called the company I specifically gave the representative my number in case we got disconnected and they never attempted to call back. Never again will we think about signing up for a timeshare through Bluegreen. They apparently have wage biased discrimination at this company. I highly recommend Bass Pro shop staying away from them as well.

We were conned and suckered into buying points from this company. Stay far away and don't waste your time and please don't waste your money. We have given them over 10k and have gone to Branson, MO twice. Not even the nice resort. It is not worth it and if you really wanted to check them out or buy, look on Facebook and find people trying to recoup some of the money they have lost or are giving their ownership away. They tell you nothing but lies in their sales pitches and hold you there as long as possible if they think they can make a buck off of you. (We were there over 4 hours the first time.) Just please, STAY AWAY!

We were very excited about the location offered when we purchased the vacation package. When I call to confirm my reservation a week before traveling, the location was NOT the same as we were offered the time of purchase. It is very disappointed that we were offered $50 gift card and they would deduct this from the amount paid at the kiosk for a refund - which is not our fault since they were the ones who offered something (location) not available. If we would like to stay at THE FOUNTAINS we would have to pay more $. Very upsetting, kids were very excited with this stay and no we are no longer traveling with this company. I do not recommend this timeshare to anyone, they lied to us at the sales kiosk and they won't refund all your money if you use the gift card offered to you. We canceled everything and we rather travel without any timeshare.

We own Bluegreen Vacation points and most of the places we want to go I need to book 11 months out which is the earliest you can book Bluegreen Vacations. The other day I was looking on Hotels.com to go to New Orleans for Memorial Day Weekend 2019. I found it interesting that a Bluegreen vacation unit was available on Hotels.com. I had looked on the Bluegreen website many times for the New Orleans units and they are never available. I decided to check the Bluegreen website again for the same dates I used on Hotels.com and again no units were available.
When we bought our Bluegreen Vacation points, we were told at least a half a dozen times that owners get first preference. Clearly that is not the case! How can Bluegreen units be available on Hotels.com (8 months from now) but no units be available on the website. This is just one more case of Bluegreen Vacations doing a Bait & Switch. I would not recommend Bluegreen Vacations to anyone!

READ THE FINE PRINT. In my estimation this is a Timeshare Scam with a different name. We were promised a $150.00 gift card if we visited the property in St. Pete Florida, for four nights at their expense. Turns out we were required to pay taxes and fees of the room, therefore the gift card barely covered the taxes and fees. Be sure and listen to the offer when calling about the offer. After we paid the $199.00 for the stay for four nights I found out we would not be staying at the property they were promoting. Only found this out after the thirty day money back offer had expired. We were lodged three miles away.
The ninety minute presentation some two months later was changed to possibly two hours. Again turns out it lasted three hours. No pressure - don't kid yourself. We had to say NO 4 times after four different offers. Once they saw no sale the friendly sales rep. was not so friendly anymore. As in other reviews I have read, why would I pay $45,000.00 for 20,000 points and then pay an additional, approximately, $1200.00 each year? And that for a slightly upscale hotel room. Last but maybe the most important. Listen for the word PERPETUITY! If you do not know what this word means you better find out before and timeshare purchase. In short you will leave your children and grandchildren and so on a obligation forever if the timeshare chooses. Remember if it looks too good to be true, Then it probably isn't.

My wife and I were promised $300 restaurant vouchers + 4-7 days cruise + 2-3 nights hotel stay if we pay $300 and sit on a presentation where Bluegreen staff tried to sell us an extremely expensive and suspicious deal where you pay the price of a Mercedes (~$55k) and then pay property tax and "maintenance" fees every year after that for vacation properties that you don't own in exchange for some "points" that then you can exchange for staying in some resorts and hotels? Why can't we just pay the hotels/resorts with our $$ whenever we want (no peak time unavailability, no "maintenance fee" etc.). I can never understand. Thank goodness we did not end up buying these "points". More importantly, my wife and I are deeply disappointed in the service they provided. All these gifts are sort of a scam to lure you into the presentations. Please let me elaborate:
$300 restaurant voucher: this is NOT real dollars, it is dining advantage $ that is basically worthless: you can spend these $ to get some coupons from the restaurants such as %50 off one meal, etc each with a value of $4-10 but cost $1-2 so you will have to get like 150 of these coupons (and print them since the phone app is a disaster) to finally spend that. Most of these coupons are available online or in local ads anyway...
4-7 days cruise: this is the worst, they make you deposit $150 "refundable" first but only after you pay, they disclose the available dates that are not only limited to off-peak times but also they start only on SUNDAYS and some every other week. Who start their vacation on a Sunday? Also, they claimed that this cruise certificate is a "gift" but when you actually register your certificate, it costs at least $200 per person airfare to the departure port and back excluded.
We also had issues after the presentation where we were promised tickets to a waterpark in Vegas but they told us at the last minute that they no longer provide those (without even an apology), instead they offer a buy-one-get-one meal coupon which the restaurant did NOT accept. I can go on and on about how the whole Bluegreen business model is a scam but I know your time is valuable unlike them.

My husband and I thought we were getting a great deal when we purchased it. Gave us free airline tickets. The problem with that is you call them and they book it on whichever airline is the cheapest with all of the layovers. We haven't even used the tickets and probably never will. Also, when trying to book at a resort is horrible. You can never get a reservation when you want it because they are full. If we had a choice to do this over again we would not purchase. Such a huge mistake we made, hope you don't do the same.

So far I have had a great experience. I haven't yet gone on my vacation, but that's where the great customer service has already come in. The story - originally I booked my stay in Colonia Williamsburg for the week of 4th of July. I was so excited to be going to the East Coast from Sacramento, CA and cannot even begin to tell you how thrilled I was to hear the reading of the Declaration of Independence on the 4th of July. I'm a bit of an America History geek... unfortunately I was in an accident and could not travel.
My deadline for booking the preview trip was fast approaching - I had until September to book within the year allotted. I figured I would just be out the $298 that I paid. I chalked it up to bad luck - no big deal. When I got my vacation reminder call I explained the situation and here was the great customer service. I was told I could cancel the trip and book something else before the year deadline - ok, that's what I would expect, but when I told them that I wouldn't be able to do that due to having to have used most of my vacation hours at work to recover - they extended my year deadline to one that would work for me and my family. So now I am booked to stay in Peoria, AZ over the Thanksgiving break and am again so excited to see what this company has to offer.

I have been thinking, since around February, that my review would horrible, considering other reviews here and some hiccups along the way, since our first encounter with Bluegreen Vacations. I am pleased to say that it has all worked out. While shopping with my husband, outside Tampa, back in February, we came across a young lady promoting a free cruise and four-day three-night stay at a resort, for $199. This included, that day, a $75 Visa gift card. We were told about the two-hour sales pitch that we both had to attend and promised another $75 GC and a $25 GC ($100) at the time of the meeting. I think we had to book the four-day/three-night within so many days to get the extra $25. The cruise itself was for our choice of either three, four or five days and ANY PORT that Carnival sails from. We didn't do any research, just paid the $199.
The first hiccup was once we booked the "resort" we discovered that it was not at the resort but at Comfort Inn in St. Petersburg. We could however upgrade to the resort and I think if I remember correctly, it would cost about $300. I could be off on that amount. Regardless, it was a nice getaway for, so far, $26. The “resort fee” we had to pay was less than $30 once we got to the Comfort Inn, still a cheap weekend getaway. We went to the sales pitch on the second day. The actual package, if everything they said was true, would have been a great deal, minus the finance charge and the $1800 a year, maintenance fees. We listened to the first pitch then a very nice young man took us on a tour. The “condo” he showed us was nice but not as big or elaborate as the sales pitch eluded to.
Now on to the actual sales tactics. Let me first say, that we had no intention of buying but we do like to hear what they are selling. We are now into our second hour. A second person joins us with the costs. $40,000 to pay over five years. I think the payment was almost $1000 per month. Ridiculous! Next comes the second deal but with the fantastic offer, we would lose something in the deal, but I can’t remember what. It was a little more than half the price but what she failed to mention was it was over ten years to pay, not the original five. She was very unhappy when my husband pointed out that it was the exact same price (to the penny) as the $40,000 deal.
By this time, we were over three hours of our promised two-hour commitment. She wanted to show us another deal and my husband said no, we had done our part but then she “threatened", with a smile, that we would not get our promised cruise. That was when my husband almost lost it, but he calmed down and listened to her very hurried, last spiel. It was very cheap, but only for one year. It was so ridiculous, I can’t remember it exactly. We are finally free, and our cruise certificate is signed off on and in our hands.
Here is the most disappointment I had. I knew the cabin was a 1A, meaning, two twins, one on the wall. When we cruise, we don’t spend a lot of time in the cabin and I knew that we could upgrade. However, when I called the agency that you must book through, Karen, very nice lady, told me that they can’t honor that certificate out of Tampa for the 1A category cabin, but we could do the upgrade and use the certificate for 10% off. I had already done a mock booking and the cost seemed too high from what Carnival’s actual cost would be if I booked myself. I found another and called back and Karen once again, told me that nothing was available. There was one for Jan of 2019 going to the Bahamas, leaving one day after I return from my Bahamas cruise.
We a have been to the Bahamas several times and we really didn’t want to return, especially one day after getting home. Karen did try for the rest of that afternoon to find something for the particular time that I requested but was unsuccessful. After thinking about it over the weekend, I realized that the amount to upgrade was only a little less than $200 because I had not figured in the fees that we already were paying. So, we decided to go ahead and book the original. I called a little while ago and Karen was out for the week but another very nice lady, Phillis, took care of everything.
I can’t speak of the actual vacation plan with Bluegreen but for anyone who is doing this for the free cruise, just give them time. Don’t be belligerent and they will work with you. Right now, our cruise is showing up under my account, fully paid for, so I don’t foresee any problems down the road with that. If so, I will edit my review. In short, the vacation package is too much finance and fees but if you have patience, you can get a couple of cheap vacations for a few hours of your time. Just be sure to ask, are you sure the cruise is from ANY Carnival port. Even the folder that they put our certificate in, has Tampa on it but according to the ladies I worked with, you can only use it with an upgraded cabin.

I had already given them my email address before I knew anything about any fees, and within hours, I was bombarded with emails and phone calls from all these other companies.
I called them to see if they sold my information, to which they obviously said they didn't. I called BS on that, which didn't sit well with their rep, who then hung up on me. It was a group presentation and the presenter (can’t remember his name) was actually quite comical and really knew his product. We signed up for a presentation in Williamsburg, Va. We followed all of the rules and were given a 3 night stay at the local Holiday Inn (cost to us $150.00) plus 2 tickets to Colonial Williamsburg. They were also supposed to refund us $150.00 in Mastercard (which they did) whether we bought or not. We arrived on time and were told the presentation would last two hours, it really lasted four. I was upfront with the sales rep and told them I was not there to buy, but that I was pushed (a little) into it by Choice Hotels. No matter how many times I said NO. They came at us again and again with a new person and a new price.
Before we left home I looked at resales for Bluegreen (which are sold as points). 20,000 points were for sale on a resale site at $7-$9000.00. They wanted $54,000.00, (at the presentation) then $32,000.00 (the price kept going down as I continually said NO. Not only that, the maintenance cost was $1532.00 PER YEAR which did not fluctuate and would go up each year (they said maybe). No matter if you bought there or paid a smaller(?) price on resale, you still had maintenance costs each year.
I constantly asked to be put on a live Bluegreen site so I could gauge the availability of units at each resort. They made excuses and pulled out a book instead. I felt that they were being a bit evasive and this was an expensive product and not for me. Ok, we got our $150.00 and tickets to Williamsburg, and we left after 4 hours. I would advise anyone who attends this sales pitch to do their homework. Look at reviews and resale sites. Do not pay these outlandish prices for something you could get for much less on resale. JUST SAY NO!

So we went to Bass Pro and signed up for the go see the timeshare, my first mistake was not running when we were put up in a place that smelled like cat pee down the street from Riverwalk. My second mistake was actually signing up for the timeshare. I have been billed twice for maintenance fees the first time in March and again just now, mind you I have not even stayed there once. We are actually going next weekend, but I had to rent a place for my children to stay because there was no room for them. When we go next weekend we had to pay $49.00 for an owners' weekend to see how everything works. I paid that a year ago and they just billed us again.
So I can not stay there with my family, because there is nothing available, glad I made these reservations a year ago, because whenever I look online there is nothing available when I can go. So it is pointless to pay all the money to not be able to use this place when it is convenient for me. Plus if you do not use your points you need to pay them to keep them and roll them over, when I have tried to look at other places to stay in their brochure there is never anything available. Do not fall for the slick salespeople like we did. We thought it would be great to have a place we could go and if we traveled we would have other places we could stay. It is cheaper to just pay to stay other places than to do this timeshare. My advice from someone who was stupid enough to fall for it, run and don't do it.

Please let me start this review off by saying the two sales reps (Kasey and Rachel) that tried to help us were nothing but professional and accommodating to the best of their ability and this review has nothing to do with them. Back in September of 2017, my wife and I purchased a vacation getaway from Bass Pro Shops in Foxborough, MA and received a 4 night stay for just $200. The one stipulation was that we needed to sit through a 2 hour timeshare sales presentation at South Mountain Resort in Lincoln, NH. No problem.
The offer was good for one year, so we booked our stay a few weeks back before it expired. When I called to book the vacation, we were then notified that we would be staying at a Days Inn Hotel down the road but our presentation was at the South Mtn. Resort, just 5 mins away. First problem... We were told by the scam artist at Bass Pro Shops that we were staying at the South Mountain Resort, not a cheap motel that we could have matched the rate on with a AAA discount. So I told the representative on the phone that this was NOT what we were offered, we were told we were staying on the resort. And why wouldn’t you want to accommodate a potential client by putting them up on the resort where you are trying to sell timeshares?!? Makes no sense. Anyhow, we are apologized to and told that is the deal. Ok, we decide to make a small vacation out of it.
We show up to the South Mtn. Resort to book our sales presentation time and the receptionist tells us that the presentation is scheduled in the middle of the next day at 12:00. Problem #2. I was told by the representative that booked the accommodations that we could have the early morning presentation so we wouldn’t be obligated to sit down for 2 hours in the middle of the day and it allowed us to plan for something fun to do. After complaining, they pushed us to the following day at 9:00. Ok, we can deal with that, but we’re not getting off on the right foot here.
So we leave the resort and check into the Days Inn Hotel down the road. They offer a Continental Breakfast from 7-10, so the next morning we decide to grab some food before we start our day and get there around 8:30. About 5 minutes after we arrive, the restaurant manager comes out and rudely tells everyone (about 30 people) “You all need to leave right now, we have problems and the Health Inspector just shut us down and you need to LEAVE NOW.” She then proceeds to get into an argument with a French-Canadian couple trying to feed their family. Problem #3.
So we leave and head back to our room where I strike up a conversation with a neighbor who was also in town on the same Bass Pro Shop deal. He then tells me he has bugs in his room and he had sparks fly out of a light socket when he turned a light switch on. Problem #4. So we make a call to Bluegreen Vacations to see if they can accommodate us at a different hotel, perhaps their property seeing that we are interested is purchasing a timeshare. We are told there is nothing available.
About 2 hours later, we run into our neighbors who were staying at the Days Inn and they tell us that they called to complain too, and they were awarded the rest of their stay at South Mountain Resort. Problem #5. So we call Bluegreen Vacations AGAIN, they tell us that they did no such thing and that these people were not telling the truth. Well, that would be true, but the next morning before our timeshare presentation, we run into them at the resort and they showed us where they were upgraded to. Problem #6.
So, we go to the presentation which was very professional and very informative and we explain to our rep the issues we had. He then sincerely apologizes and takes a written statement from us and forwards it to his boss. After the presentation, he offers us a 8 day/7 night voucher and 2 airline ticket vouchers for $1,050 for our troubles. So at this point, my wife and I are a little skeptical in doing business with Bluegreen so we explain that we are interested in buying but we need time to assess our situation and I wanted to do more homework on the company. We were satisfied with the vacation and airline vouchers and we felt we would give them another try. So we go back in and it’s explained to us that we would receive those vouchers only if we bought the timeshare. Problem #7.
At this point, they can’t accommodate us and they don’t even offer to refund us the $200 that we invested in the first place. I rarely take the time out of my busy day to waste my time with negative reviews, but in this case, I felt it was necessary to help anyone in the future who is pondering doing business with this company. I then looked at reviews on the company (should have done this from the beginning, my mistake) and the highest overall review I see is 2.5 out of 5. Consumer Affairs rated them a 1.25 out of 5. This company clearly has its issues and hospitality is not their strong suit so if anyone is on the fence, I highly recommend you do your homework and read the reviews from not only people who decided not to buy, but the comments from people who currently own. I hope this helps. Disgruntled Potential Customer.

Promised or given all sorts of perks or add-ons for signing on. Big waste of time and money. They make it an unpleasant experience to try to book a vacation. Difficult to book, change, or cancel any portion of the trip. And their "points" that you purchase to stay at the resorts are virtually useless. The actual point value is so small that if you pay the annual maintenance fee, you are losing money. It would be much cheaper to just book your own vacations, whether it is hotel, cruise or anything else associated with or thru this so-called business. It would be better to call it a scam rather than a business. It should be illegal. If I could rate it less than 1 star, I would.

99% of what we were told by the sales agents were a lie. They also give you a timeline so they can get you back there and lie again. We were lied to both times and did not find out about the lies until a few months ago. We purchased this because of what we were told below. They sold it like a mortgage and investment. I have joined a Timeshare Advocacy Group to get the word out to EVERYONE and have already shared this with my military network. I am also missing documents from the contracts we signed, a process they rushed us through.
We were told Bluegreen points are an investment, similar to a mortgage. I asked is it a deed to the properties? They said yes. Sales agent Name: Patricia **. Manager said it was deed, but we never received a deed. We were told we can deduct interest from the loan off on our taxes. We were told RCI and Bluegreen are going to merge and that when that happens I would no longer have to pay to use RCI services. Because it was sold as a deed, they emphasized that this made it more like an investment that could be sold if needed. STAY AWAY from Bluegreen and don't believe anything they tell you. This is not an investment, it is not like a mortgage, you can't refinance, and anything else they tell you is a lie. The only thing that is true is you can use the points to reserve a room. Other than that, NOTHING is true.

We are a family with a 14 year old boy and a 13 month old baby. We COULD NOT BE HAPPIER with our decision to become owners!!! We can cook meals in the resort rooms. Most have all the luxuries of home and on site activities for the children. We are able to travel WAY MORE than we were before. I feel like all the 1 and 2 star reviews come from people that did not pay attention to the seminar!!! The perks for signing up for us was 2 plane tickets, 2 full weeks free vacation. And a cruise!!! There are ownership perks, like tours/tour guides, private yacht stays for a fraction of what it would cost without the charter membership. (Mind you... This is a private yacht with your own staff to cater to you personally! CHEAP!)
NO ONE states these things are FREE. It just allows you to do the things you would never normally do without the savings of the membership! Our representative was INCREDIBLY informative and clear about all of this. Hence my feelings about the Bluegreen haters probably snoozing during the seminar. We highly recommend them!!!

I didn't do enough research, this is a worthless timeshare. I trusted it because associated with Bass Pro Shop. That was where we were introduced and where we went to meetings and stayed. Started us with sampler and we got this great cabin twice and it was wonderful. Then they hooked us with points and we can stay a couple of nights in a studio, NOT a NICE CABIN, every year points are every other year BUT we pay almost $700.00 a year in fees. You can find these on internet. People are giving them away. Which verifies my point. It is worthless. They sell you on this is an asset. "RIGHT." Stay away. You will be sorry if you don't. Horrible unless you are wealthy and have money to throw away.

I have been a co-owner of Bluegreen vacation unit for 1 year and can say with 100% certainty that is was the worst mistake I have made in 50 years. I attended a presentation and said NO many times but a friend that I was with wanted to do it and convinced me to go in it with her. I have spent the last 8 months trying to find a place to visit... Because we did not purchased their top package, the number of points we have do not allow us to stay anywhere. We thought we would just allow the points to accumulate from one year to another and take a vacation 2 or 3 years later... The timeshare will be happy to carry over half of the points for a FEE and only for one year. So accumulating is out of the question. Hence, we will never have enough points to visit any of their resorts.
We could go to a Choice hotel... Well, if we wanted to go to a hotel, we could have saved the $14,000.00 and the exuberant cleaning fee of almost 700.00 a year and could have gone to the Ritz Carlton every year. My advice to all... DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR FALSE ADVERTISEMENT OF A GREAT VACATION. Save your money and go on vacation when you want and where you want. I am in the process of getting out of this mess. I hope that no one else has to go through what we are going through.

Me and my girlfriend attended a seminar in order to get a free vacation. We sat through an hour long presentation only to come back to the sales tree who then offered us a deal. We told him no, he went and got someone else who tried to sell the same thing, we told him no, he went and got another guy who then proceeded to sweeten the pot or give us a better deal! We said we didn't want to decide that day and wanted time to think about it. My girlfriend has medical issues which requires her to see a specialist out of town fairly often which includes her needing overnight lodging on occasion. We thought maybe it was something we should genuinely look into to maybe help her save money. So after being there and wanting to leave for 3 hours and being assured of we change our minds by Florida law we have 10 days buyers remorse and could get a refund. We agreed to purchase.
On the second day the rep called and asked if there was anything we needed. Well after speaking it over with my girlfriend and reading review of the company which were not great, we had already decide we would cancel, so we told him that. He asked if there was anything he could do to keep our business. We said no, he then said that he would take care of it and that we wouldn't see a refund for up to 3 weeks. We waited 3 weeks, didn't see the funds returned in her account and called the rep back. He then stated he never got our letter of intent to cancel. Granted during the 4 hours total we were there originally they may have stated that we needed to do a written intent, but we didn't remember it and we weren't reminded when the rep ensured us that he was going to take care of it.
I just feel like that should have been something that was stated during the conversation before he said that or that after I receive the written intent, then I will be happy to take care of that. Anyways he said that we needed to go ahead and fill it out and send it in along with the owner package filled with the timeshare catalog and all the info we got for purchasing. He said don't worry about it we still had time. So we sent everything back, written intent and every piece of paper Bluegreen ever gave us.
We then have played phone or email tag with more than 10 employees varying from many customer service reps, marketing manager, a contract manager, all the way to a director of sales that ultimately 4 months later decided we weren't getting a refund because of the contractual issue of the intent not being turned in on time. I told him his employee didn't remind me when he said it would be taken care of that I needed to and that after I was told that even after that time period was up, that rep told us to send back everything... That we still had time and it would be fine. He kept trying to go back to the contractual issue, which I understand. We messed up.
According to that employee though, several reviews of similar situations with this company and even other employees I've spoken to that exceptions are made in cases like this. He stated several times that he wasn't going to refund it, we were stuck with it, it is what it is. I understand we made a mistake, but it was an honest one. They apparently can and have made exceptions before with things like this but for us refused. I don't understand how or why a company, much less another person would treat someone this way when they have it within their power to help.
So we're stuck with a time share we will be selling as soon as possible, to get away from a company that we will never do business with much less use their product whether we paid for it or not. Based on a principle that may be dying in the world we live in but that isn't the way to treat people. I hope anyone interested that reads this doesn't get roped into the guerrilla sales tactics from this company and have to deal with them like we have. They may treat you better, but I wouldn't count on it.

I just returned from Charleston, SC, travel accommodations courtesy from Bluegreen for a sales presentation. The cost was $249 for Five Days, four nights at Hampton Inn on Sessions Way. The hotel was clean, the staff was great & breakfast was fabulous to be free. They provided eggs, fresh waffles, toast, pastries, sausages, cereal, fresh fruit including watermelon, cantaloupe & grapes. You will be required to pay sales taxes each day ($16-$18 per day) on a credit card. Overall, $318 for four nights wasn't bad considering, the rack rate on Expedia & Orbitz was $171 including all fees. ($684 if I booked separately or $318 for listening to a presentation. I also extended my vacation a day for an additional $144 with my AAA discount.) I also received a $75 gift card, when I first purchased vacation, plus another $100 gift card & "free carnival cruise".
Technically, I paid $143 for my four nights. (The free cruise is either a 3, 4 or 5 day cruise for two adults & we have to pay port charges of up to $200 per person in a basic room. They do offer a variety of cruises & times, going to Mexico, Bahamas or Florida. We scheduled the presentation, the first available day & time to "get it over with". We arrived at 8:30am and was done by Noon. A little longer for my liking but if you give any indication that you are interested, they will keep trying to persuade you. The cost was $39,990 for 20,000 points a year to be used for travel. A room averages 500-4000 a night depending on the location. (Florida 500-2000 points a night, New York City 3000-4000 a night.) You also have access to discounts on hotels throughout the year and last minute deals which actually were great. We looked at a Seven day stay at Sandals in Negril that was on $299 for a week, which I have never seen that resort so inexpensive.
The biggest deal breaker for us was that the annual maintenance fees were approx. $1800 a year. They keep saying you will receive a "deed" and you can give to your kids, kids, kids, but even after we pay $40,000, they will be on the hook for the maintenance fees for life. The $1800 will keep increasing for life as well. They offered a lower point system of 10,000 for $23,990 with maintenance fees about $1000 annually. It still wasn't worth it. They thanked me for my time & did not seem bitter. I will say this is the only Timeshare that I have been to, that didn't offer refreshments. We were so thirsty.
So all in all, you are paying for a concierge service with this Timeshare. This was my 5th timeshare presentation since 2001. I can't help but wonder if I would of purchased the first one offered in Orlando by Westgate Resorts would of been worth it for $10,000, I guess I will never know. I do however, recommend anyone who wants to take themselves or family on an inexpensive trip to do a Bluegreen Timeshare presentation. My 3.5 hours of time was worth the $143 that I paid for a great vacation with my family. We visited Island of Palms beach, Folly Beach, Charleston Fun Park & Whirlin Water Adventure park.

We are very happy owners. We knew what we were getting into when we bought into it, and negotiated the FULL perks that the salespeople CAN offer. I told them without a full flush of their employee offers and amenities... it would be a "NO". So, they gave it to us. When the "reviews" come around (And they do at every destination) I tell them $500 and a guarantee that it won't last more than 45 minutes. They NEVER give in... so I tell them "NO".
There is the difference. We love Bluegreen, because we bought what we wanted, and what we intended it for... and we're happy with it. If you are one of the losers who say "can't afford, don't want, didn't need" then why did you even go to a sales meeting? I have bad news for you... There are NO FREE LUNCHES. PERIOD. If you're a "get it for free" person... I have news for you... NOTHING is for free. But, what we DO PAY FOR... is all high quality and premium facilities. Golf Card International... FREE membership with the Travelers Plus... and I've golfed for FREE three times on it... The first round paid for the Travelers Plus membership... and we're happy. The activities, worth it. Family time, worth it. Travel experience, worth it. If you're a freeloader... forget it, nobody will ever make you happy. Except for in another State and no beach around. For one How do they expect me to get there? The beach vacation I had reserved is only 3 1/2 hours from me which I could’ve drove. If they are desperate you might be lucky enough to get points for a low price. We get rather frustrated by the knowledge and information they give you when in an update or even on the phone asking questions. I swear you never get the same answer twice. And you never get a complete, direct answer, much like our politicians. They skirt around the issue. If you are in the market for a timeshare, check resales. You get a much better deal. I purchased 3 nights and 4 days stay for $149.00 last August. I called to make reservations for June of 2018, and added an additional day for $50.00. After I made reservations with Christina she asked about my spouse. I explained that I was separated and she then said I would have to speak with someone in another department. I spoke with Jasmine and she said that I could transfer my account to the person I would be coming with. She sent me a form for me and my friend to fill out and return. After giving me the wrong fax number 2x and about 5 reps later, the transaction was done.
Once the account was transferred to my friend, they switched the location. I had paid for and confirmed a beach resort with Christina. But, they changed it to a hotel an area that looked very unsafe and was very far from the beach. When I called to inquire about the change, the customer service rep said that they could no longer speak with me because the account had been changed.
I got my friend to call on three way to ask why they changed and they gave her a ** response. They told her they could put in a request for the resort previously confirmed and get back in 72 hours. She declined and asked for a refund. She was then told that it was too late for a refund even though, I had just made a $50.00 payment on 5-30-18 for an additional day. I'm not a good writer so I don't write reviews but I really want people to know my experience before buying into this vacation program that Bluegreen offers. So here's my story. The beginning, we are from San Diego and we were shopping at the outlet mall when someone from the booth approach us and gave us the spiel of free nights in Vegas if we just sit for 2 hours of sale speech. THAT IS THE FIRST LIE - It's not 2 hours it's from 8 am to 2 pm. They said we have 4 hotels we can choose from and there are some on the strip - 2ND LIE, you can't choose! They will put you to one of the contracted hotel which about 2 miles or more from the strip. We stayed at Tuscany Suites, which is pain the butt to walk or even get an Uber from. We paid $200 for that free 3 nights (not really free) but we got $150 visa gift card back so really not so bad and we stayed New Year's eve.
During the speech they make you feel like you are really in a cage and can't get away unless you pay something. After the 1 hours speech, we were taken by another person for a 1 on 1. The price of the vacation club doesn't seems cheap compare to what we spend every year, and tell you we travel a lot locally and internationally. So we said we'll think about it. So many good things and so many promises they said that made us wonder if this is really for us, so they offered the sample package $900 for 9000 points that we have to spend in a year.
The tour of the hotel/vacation club... so they take you on a tour. Every time they take you to one they tell you how much points you can get which is like 150-500 points and on peak could be 1000 points. The $900 sampler is 9000 points. Wow! I can get a lot of free rooms right? Nope - another LIE, when I tried to book the room, the smallest room on a very slow month is 2,000 points plus $50 protection plus so it's like $225 per room per night on 1st week of June. I look online at Hotels.com. Same hotel same room is only $145 per night. What? Why did I pay advance to this sampler again? What's the benefits? NONE. So do not buy the sampler if they are still offering it.
Oh and plus they require you to go on the tour again and waste another half day to convince you to buy. No one can really show me how much is the points if you are a real owner. Someone keeps telling me that the website for vacation owner is different from the sample so the points I am charge for the sampler is much higher from the owner. So I ask if they can show me online on how much is the points for real owner, someone in that sales room should be an owner right? And should be able to log in to their system so I can really see how easy and the actual points and pricing for the real owner and not the sampler owner. So part of that deal also is you get a 2 free cruise... bogus, it's not free, it's a discount of like $100 per person. I don't know about other people but for me, I felt like I was cheated on with the $900 sample pack I bought.

I understand the difference between a PROMOTION and something that I have WON. Anyways, I have purchased this package at $298. Why give my CC over the phone you ask? Because the whole point of a credit card is to prevent you from fraud... You know the 1-800 number on the back... I knew I would be staying at a hotel rather than the actual resort because I simply asked where I'd be staying. What else would you expect for $298? I listened to the entire 20+ min pitch because I knew there were details that I'd want to know before purchasing. But I know I'm going to Vacation with or without them so why not try and save the money. I mean forget the land vacation. A cruise alone for 298 is unbeatable. So I heard them out.
They informed me of a 45 day advanced notice for off peak travel time and a 90 day notice for peak seasons which is fair enough. Again, 298 no problem. As far as the 2 hour guided tour goes I figured it can't be too hard to say "no" if it didn't make sense for me and my family. It's not like they'll come in with ski masks. Nonetheless I booked my land vacation for Orlando, FL. Rather simple procedure. I don't get why its so hard for these people who find time to complain are having so many problems. I just followed simple procedure set before me by Bluegreen. $298 for 2 vacations... I spent that on my son's Xbox.

They have wasted a full day in Florida with our kids!!! They lied to us before coming repeatedly, then they say that you are a charter member, you can go on the yachts with the club!!! So Amazing. Right??? No!!! They lied. It’s 150 to 250 a night extra per person, so it’s 1200 to 2000 extra to do this!!! They didn't tell you that!!! Or that your points will have some decreased value when rolled over if it’s over 5000.00 saved!!! Liars!!! Fraud!!!
They have ruined my time in Florida, with my family! They are making us drive back to get the packet pack to them, they are so cheap! Then tell me I have to write a letter to cancel, and get my deposit back!!! What century are we in, that I couldn’t email this??? Lol!!! I will tell you all stay away from BGR, we are looking with other companies to get a good timeshare!!!

I’m definitely not the type to write reviews, but after seeing all the negative reviews, I have to speak up. My wife & I are very happy with our Bluegreen ownership. We were not pressured, suckered, or gimmicked into purchasing. The salespeople were very respectful, and assured us NOT to purchase if it would place us under any financial strain or hardship. We came to the agreement to purchase amongst ourselves, and have not been disappointed. We WERE however made aware that there would be annual maintenance fees, and that we probably wouldn’t be able to book a hot destination vacation such as Florida or Hawaii on 3 weeks notice in the summertime, but would have to plan to book in advance which only makes logical sense. Booking reservations from the Bluegreen website calendar is quite simple, and you can see available dates for destinations many months in advance.
We are a young, married couple, and luckily our jobs allow us plenty of time to travel. We have been owners for 10 months, and have already stayed at BG resorts Tradewinds (St. Pete’s Beach, Fl), The Fountains (Orlando), Solara Surfside (Miami), Hotel Blake (Chicago), The Falls Village (Branson twice), Big Cedar Lodge (Branson on Tablerock Lake twice), a RCI condo on a Texas lake (week), and already have reservations booked for Myrtle Beach & The Manhattan Club (NYC) at Christmas this year. So the reviews about owning for 2-3 years and unable to book a trip or reservations is on those people. Some planning ahead is necessary. Obviously, there is no way that we would’ve been able to travel to all these destinations and see the sights if we weren’t owners. We are very happy & satisfied Bluegreen owners, and plan to be for years to come. :)

Received a phone call from these guys as a result of entering sweepstakes for a nice shiny Jeep at the mall (couldn't resist). Obviously, these guys wanted $300 to secure the ultimate vacation package, which I had been specifically selected for. After a 20 minute sales pitch where I muted my mic and played video games, they asked for my CC details, which I declined to give out. I'm happy to say that I wasted their time. At the end of the conversation I mentioned the ConsumerAffairs site and the reviews. Hoo boy, they didn't like that. Hung up on me. I was looking forward to ** them around further. Yeah, don't ever book with these guys. It's a waste of time. :)

Bluegreen misrepresents themselves and flat out lies to sell you a vacation package, then their customer service agents are completely useless. They have no idea what’s going on and make no effort to give any real help. You get different information every time you call. And worst of all, their financial department can’t be reached directly and no one that you can speak to gives accurate info. They have held a large sum of my money which was an account overage for over three weeks and no one can tell me when I will get it back. Don’t let them sell you anything!

I wished I had read the reviews before after they called to sell me this piece of crap. They sent me the package to the wrong email address (so I didn't have opportunity to cancel in 30 day period before I finally got the package info). I was told I would have two separate rooms for the Arizona property but when it came time to go, I called in advance to confirm because I didn't get actual property address. They told me I would have one room with two beds and I would needed to upgrade to get a property resort (this wasn't told me during the sales call). I cancelled reservation and I finally got to use the deal a month before it expired (in St. Pete's). They didn't offer me opportunity to schedule 2 hour presentation, they just said show up at 12:30 on Saturday. The property is 30 mins away from hotel they book me (not near the beach) and the time to get there was longer because there was traffic.
Oh, and the three $100 dinner vouchers they give you to offset the cost of the package are useless. There are only a few select places (not quality restaurants) you can use them and not many take the $100 voucher (most $5, 10 and 25) so you would lose $75 if you used one of them. Also, you have to spend double the face value of the voucher to use the voucher. I think I will pass on the cruise and 3 day/2 night packages that came with deal because there are additional costs and probably some hidden fees. Oh, by the way, the St. Pete Resorts is very very old (but gorgeous ocean view.) So it was probably a good thing they stuck me at the Marriott thirty minutes away. It is funny reading the views with more than 3 stars (none of them have verified buyer indicators so they are probably reviews submitted by Bluegreen.

In Dec 2017, I booked 4 villas at Christmas Mountain Village thru Bluegreen vacations for March 2018. This was for my 32nd birthday. I had 19 people coming with me. When we arrived, the villas were not ready for check in. They were 45 min behind. Then I was informed we didn’t have villas, instead townhomes, cabins, and lofts. All of which were smaller than villas and didn’t have the same accommodations. I had come from Chicago and had brought food for 20 people to bbq because we were supposed to have grills. There were no grills! Then we were given these new rooms, I noticed that there was a loft, which meant no doors for a bedroom, there were double beds, and 1 shared bathroom in the cabins.
I had 7 couples who were included in my 20 count. When I booked, I had called several times to ask about the bathroom and sleeping arrangements. I was assured we all had Queen/king beds and 2-3 bathrooms in each villa. Instead, when I got there, there were log cabins with double beds and 1 shared bathroom. One couple left the resort to go to a hotel because they didn’t drive 7 hrs just to share a bathroom with another couple they didn’t know. I stood at the front desk going back and forth with the workers for 3 hrs trying to get the rooms figured out. They were constantly telling me they were at capacity and could do nothing for me. One guy even went so far as to say, “Well, when you booked, you didn’t specify the room had to have a door!” referring to the loft. I was mortified. Then they were telling me, I could push the double beds together to make one bed! I couldn’t believe my ears.
Lastly the front desk manager offered me $20 back off my total bill which was roughly $1400. I have never been treated so poorly. I have spoken with several people at Christmas Mountain Village resort and they claim that they’re not responsible because Bluegreen vacations is a 3rd party booking company and they have no authority to book a specific room with specific accommodations. So they should’ve never guaranteed me a villa. And I explained to them, resort I didn’t hire their 3rd party company, they did and I need to be compensated for all these issues. I still have no resolve. Never use these two companies.

We took advantage of a free weekend at Shenandoah Crossing, a Bluegreen Resort. We opted to join because of the Coast to Coast membership that came with it. We have an RV and they assured us that we would enjoy a Coast to Coast membership with Shenandoah Crossing as our home resort. Boy did they scam us good! Almost $9,000 on the membership and $500 in yearly maintenance fees and their resort and service has been declining ever since. Some things are small, like the fact that they used to provide towels at the pool, but they don’t anymore and they don’t enforce their rules (8 year olds running around driving golf carts when the rule is they have to be 16). Others are much more unacceptable.
First, to make a reservation you have to call Shenandoah for normal reservations, but if you want the more elite treatment available, you have to call a number in Fla. We have been there every year on the same weekend and reserved an RV site with a hot tub. The first year, no problems. Since then, they are never available unless you call right before you’re scheduled to arrive and see if there have been any cancellations.
This year, although we understood it was a holiday weekend (Easter) we were again told, by the place in Fla. that none were available. We called the day before check-in and confirmed that we still couldn’t get one. So, we asked for a specific site number that we knew we liked. Of course we were told that they don’t hold sites. Ok, so we arrived and went to our assigned site. We noticed that the site we wanted was empty so we called and asked about it. We were told they were holding it for someone! Then, as we went for walks during our stay, we noticed several hot tub sites empty. We checked the hot tubs and they were operational.
Another thing they didn’t reveal about Coast to Coast is that some of the campgrounds that honor this membership will put you in the less desirable locations of their property. So, we spent a lot of money and, yes, we expected special treatment for it. They told us we needed to play the points game to get what we wanted. They know very well that we don’t have enough points to do that, so of course, they would be willing to talk to us about purchasing more. I wouldn’t give them one star, but I wasn’t sure my review would show up if I didn’t.

My stay at Bluegreen La Pension, I have always wanted to stay in New Orleans. Bucket list kind of thing, but as a Bluegreen owner never could make that possible. Can't afford more points and never any last minute availability. So I search online and I see all kinds of units available online but at the cost of 100s a $$$ a night! So I call corp office and explain to her what is going on. Why are these rooms not available to owners first??? She miraculously gives me a free room at no charge. Seems kinda like hush $$$ but I take it, feeling like I deserve it from all the ups and downs being a Bluegreen owner and the yearly cost. But now I understand why there are only so many rooms at each property. I get it $$$ first for Bluegreen.
So my trip comes up we decided to leave a day early to have more time with family that we meet out there. Keep in mind traveling is exhausting on its own, Sunday Jan 28th up at 5 am for a 8 am flight. Meet up with family. Check in at hotel. We ended up being up for around 19 hours that day but get a good 6 hours of sleep at this hotel nice and quiet. Also my husband is diabetic so looking for more rest at the next Hotel. It's important to his health to get the right amount of sleep.
Pack up at a different hotel on Monday 29th then go to La Pension. Check in room isn't ready but we are early. That is understandable. Leave for lunch and we are told they would call us when the room is ready. Sometime around 6 we get our keys and at no point do they tell us we are in the sales building next to a model unit that they show from early morning to night! I do walk past the sales room on the way to the elevator thinking nothing of it 'cause we'll be on the 6th floor. First night was awful. From the street noise we were up and down all night. Still didn't see or hear anything from next room 'cause we arrived at the room late. So in the morning I call the front desk to possibly move but before I could ask the young lady at the front desk tells me the rooms at the back of the building are far worse with all the noise and have a alley view!
At this point we are up. Go eat. Come back to take a nap, My husband and I have the balcony doors open starting to do what married people do and OMG someone is on the balcony next door! Oops my fault I guess. Someone checked in next door. Close the curtains! They can clearly see us and we can see them!!! I'm horrified!!! SO later on I learn that this hotel don't care about noise control or my privacy either!!! So we meet up with family and we are gone for the day. So at dinner we come up with a good idea to put the mattress on top of the pull out couch in the front room. Great. No more street noise!!!
Jan 30th... We do sleep better in the front room until about 7 am I hear someone rolling out luggage, okay just the people next door leaving, hear the elevator door slam OK. We are in a close area with 3 other rooms. No problem 'cause our door is right in front of the elevator right we are sleeping. 8 am I hear a cleaning lady knocking on all the doors. Housekeeping! She knocks on my door! In my Half asleep state I swing open the door, I say we are sleeping!!! She says, "You don't have your do not disturb sign up!!!" I tell her I'm not checking out till Saturday!!! Oops my fault again. Didn't have the sign up, but this really didn't matter cause I can hear her at every door knocking already waking me up at 8 am.
I apologize to her later on 'cause she is only doing what she was told. This is the hotel's policy to knock on all the doors to see if you need anything every morning!!! I have never stood at a Bluegreen property that does this. If I need something I call!!! This is an old building and you can hear everything!!! So on about 5 hours asleep I try to go back to sleep. I can hear the elevator go up and down, doors slamming and people talking, etc. I give up on sleeping and need to wash a load of clothes. Call the front desk for laundry soap, I ask the lady at the front desk why is there so much noise around here when there is only 3 other rooms??? She then tells me we are staying next to a model unit that they show all day!!!
I couldn't believe it!!! This is the second time I complained and still didn't offer to move me!!! And why would Bluegreen disturb anyone's vacation with their Sales department!!! Strangers coming and going, no privacy and all the noise!!! Call the front desk back and ask for a manager to call me, do my laundry. Never hear from her.
Get dressed, go to the lobby and just so happen to see Christina ** the manager, I explain to her everything, even the having relations with my husband and the first words out of her mouth was making it my fault that if I had a neighbor the same thing can happen instead of apologizing for no one informing me about having the room next to me shown all morning, I would have never agreed to stay in that room in the first place. Managers dont seem to care about the safety of their guests with strangers coming and going either.
I also explained to her if I had a neighbor it would be the same people and I would know if they're coming and going and they wouldn't be making noise all day and night!!! We most likely would get to know each other. I told her I'm on the balcony trying to read a book, waiting for my laundry to finish, trying to relax and there is different people every time I turn around on the balcony next to me!!! So by her attitude that this is somehow my fault before she can offer me another room I get on my high horse and inform her I'm not moving, packing and moving is not an option and the management needs to have some respect for the people in these rooms on vacation before your sales department!!!
AT this point I feel like I am sticking up for me and the other people that stay and have stood in these rooms!!! She tells me no one else has ever complained, which after reading reviews on the internet this is a lie. There are many complaints of noise in the hallways, that is besides the point. In this business one complaint is too many!!!
I Also informed her I will let these people know what you are doing to us on my vacation if the noise doesn't stop, it's not the hotel's fault with the street noise but the noise in the hotel can be controlled till a certain time. I know it's a crazy thing to ask of a hotel to have peace and quiet so we can sleep and privacy!!! It's one thing to be disturb by other guests but to have the sales team disturbing guests that is beyond rude!!! I tell her, "My Vacation seems to be revolving around your schedule not mine". I leave to continue my day second day staying here, Another day everything we do we are tired and sluggish from lack of sleep.
Return to my room that night. Tired to nap before dinner, at 6:30 pm The GM Zandrea calls me. I explain to her what is going on, Yes I have a bad attitude of course cause she woke me up and being sleep deprived I have no patience especially for once again another manager that has the attitude that this is my fault and is not apologizing and sees nothing wrong with the sales department disturbing us on our vacation. She offers me another room. I say NO. Why should I have to pack up and move, I have the balcony I like, the view I like.
Knowing another employee telling me it's worse where they want to move me more noise and looking at an alley!!! No thank you! I tell her, "How dare you do this to people on Vacation, even though this room was given to me with traveling, eating and flights we have now spent around 2000$ and no one seems to care that all we like to do is get some sleep and have some privacy!!! We aren't rich people. We worked hard for that $$$".
JAN 31st Some noise but not as bad today. After talking to them I thought maybe they now understand. Feb 1st... 7 am woken up again by the same noise, but fall back to sleep till 9. Broken sleep but grateful for any sleep cause we are going on a 6 hour tour. Morning of Feb 2nd... Last day have to be up at 5 am next Morning for flight home... Same noise 7 am, listen to the Elevator go up and down nonstop. 8 am cleaning guy next door pounding on the walls, I get up to inform him we are trying to sleep. Continues to clean, vacuuming, etc., etc. 9 am hear elevator up and down. People talking, etc. for hours...
So now at some point after 10 am I lose my mind from broken sleep for days. I hear people talking right in front of my door like nothing. It's the sales team waiting for the elevator. I'm guessing talking to a client, Since Bluegreen don't care about me and after days of asking for quiet I scream in the hallway informing them what is going on and don't buy ** from this company!!! ~ Bluegreen doesn't care about the $$$ that we have spent on taking this vacation. Why should I care about Bluegreen making $$$.
So now I'm up, there is no sleep in sight for us... Around 11 am there a knock on the door. GM standing there. "Zandrea", I tell her, "You have been waking me up since 7 am!!!" She then tells me I have 20 mins to pack up and leave the property or she will call the police... I close the door and tell her I'm not leaving and to call the police. At this point I'm thinking I have warned them, asked, pleaded for quiet, what have I've done wrong but stand up for myself and let other people know how they treat their guests!!!
But the police don't care either so they come into our room, tell us to leave or we are going to jail!!! So we pack and leave. We are now out on the street with our luggage in a city we hardly know with nowhere to go! We book flights to go home. Missing the parade I always wanted to see!!! Call customer service. They don't care either 'cause the GM told them that she offered us to move, so I guess to Bluegreen that makes everything okay!!!
I wasn't moving for the reasons I have already explained. Your owners should never be disturb by your sales team unless we choose to!!! All I could do is cry from feeling so powerless. All I can say is I want a divorce from Bluegreen. I can't believe this was done to us... I'm guessing I need a lawyer!!! I'm just hoping someone at Bluegreen reads this letter and maybe don't realize how Zandrea ** is running this property. I'm now sitting at home sick to my stomach and in disbelief on how we were treated!!!

I was contacted by Bluegreen Vacations last October and they offered a 3 night/4 day vacation in any one of their 16 resorts located throughout the country. All I had to do was call and notify them of which resort I wanted to stay at and agree to sit through a two-hour time-share sales pitch. Fair enough, I thought, and I paid $199. When I went to book the resort today, I was told that no - I would not be staying at a resort after all - but at a 'partner hotel' which they would choose for me.
They totally lied to us about staying at one of their resorts and when I asked for my money back, they refused to refund me - even though the sales agent told me over the phone I could cancel at any time. My advice to anyone considering doing business with Bluegreen Vacations is that they use deceptive and most likely illegal business practices and I would advise them to never do business with a company like this. I could just chalk it up as a lesson learned, but I want my $199 back.

I purchased the promotional ‘getaway’ vacation for $199 from Bass Pro Shops. Was told we’d be staying at the Bluegreen vacation property in the city we selected. We would be required to go on a 2-hour sales tour at the property. However, when I called to make the reservation, I was told that unless I paid an upcharge, we’d be housed in a hotel (NOT the Bluegreen vacation property). Since we were going to be housed in a hotel, I asked if it would be close to our destination city. They said ‘yes, walking distance to downtown’ but the hotel was a 15-minute drive away. In two separate conversations with two different customer service reps, I heard the same story: “you should go to Harry’s…my husband and I always go there… He always orders the voodoo chicken.” If you’re going to script personal anecdotes, be smart enough to give a different one to each customer service rep.
When you arrive, you must check in at the Bluegreen property. Only then do you find out which hotel they’re putting you in. And only then do they tell you your tour time, without any option to know in advance and plan around your schedule. Our hotel was subpar and undergoing renovations. The fitness room was unusable. The amenities were sparse. And as stated above, it was not even close to walking distance to the nearby city. We were put in a room directly across from the elevator and were kept awake by the ‘ding’ of the elevator at all hours. Additionally, they don’t tell you that you must still pay taxes at your hotel. Bass Pro Shops sales rep and Bluegreen mislead us about the terms of our ‘getaway.’
They assign your tour day and time. Not convenient if you already made scheduled plans, as we had. Why don’t they allow visitors any say in selecting their tour time? I asked to change our tour time, and they did accommodate my request. We arrived at the tour and a guy asked us to sign forms, including one that was our agreement to pay $979.00 for the actual cost of our ‘getaway’ stay if we did not complete the tour. I told him that we were here for the tour, intended to complete it, and therefore this form was unnecessary. I said, “I wouldn’t sign it.” He said I MUST sign it to attend. I said, “I wouldn’t sign it.” And I didn’t. They let us attend anyway. We were in a group of about 20 people.
Not only do they try to get you to sign a form saying that if you don’t complete the tour, you have to pay ‘full value’ for your ‘getaway vacation,’ they will also charge you $200 for not taking the tour. So you better do the ** tour – or you’ll be fighting your credit card company over their ridiculous penalties for not taking the tour. We were told the tour would not be more than two hours, yet we’re there for three hours, listening to sales drivel and taking tours of rooms. If they wanted to impress us with the rooms, they should have put us up in one, instead of a cheesy hotel in a bad area. Victoria presented a one-hour presentation about the benefits of Bluegreen versus paying for your own hotels as you travel or owning a traditional timeshare. She was obviously schooled in ‘seminar group think’ tactics such as getting individuals to talk about their dreams, repeat her words and respond to simple but leading questions.
As an influential speaker, she was mediocre. The ‘special deal’ our group was offered was a ‘charter agreement’ with other organizations. If we purchased TODAY, we’d get all the special deals offered by these partners and save thousands of dollars. They made a cheesy laminated ‘certificate’ bullet pointing the offers to make it look ‘official.’ OH, and BTW – they greatly de-emphasized the fact that you can only use your ‘points’ at one of 76 Bluegreen -owned properties. If you want to stay at properties in the RCI vacation program, you can’t just apply your points – you must also pay an exchange fee. 76 properties is NOT a lot. They are banking on RCI’s 4,300 properties without being forthright about the details. Why not just join RCI or SPG, vacation program brokers that provide access to thousands of hotels?
Next came the hard sell (after Victoria assured the group that Bluegreen prided itself on NOT doing the hard sell thing). We were ushered into a conference room where each buying party was paired with a sales rep. Lisa (our rep) answered our questions and brought over Troy (the sales manager) whenever we asked a question she couldn’t answer, which was often. Finally, after telling us how much money we’d save based on an oversimplified calculation of our hotel room costs over ten years of travel, they put a piece of paper in front of us asking for $44,900 to invest in their vacation program. Like any halfway intelligent consumers, we said that we would not make a same-day decision, but we’d consider it. We requested the backup documentation (e.g., complete descriptions and disclosures of all annual fees, exchange fees, etc.). They said they couldn’t give it to us. Really?
I stated that no intelligent consumer would make a decision like this without performing the necessary due diligence and evaluating the fine print. Troy, the Sales Mgr, asked me why I hadn’t performed my due diligence on Bluegreen. Uh, wasn’t that why we were here? We came here to learn about the program. The fact that they were not willing to provide any detailed information was not only a deal breaker, but a ridiculous affront to their expectation that their customers would do due diligence. Troy’s last resort sales pitch was to tell us that he knew that if we said we’d ‘think about it,’ that we’d never come back. He was right. We declined the offer and left.
If Bluegreen’s sales process was more intelligent, they’d figure out a way to allow folks to ‘think about it’ and still be compelled to take the bait the next day or two. In retrospect, after the event, I got even madder when the reality fully sunk in: For $45k, they never actually stated what you would OWN. Am I buying fractional real property, or simply vacation program points? Never. Made. Clear. = Fraud. Many fees are noted ‘subject to change without notice’ – never a good sign. There was no mention of how property stays were delegated during peak times when many ‘owners’ would be requesting the same properties. There was absolutely no information provided with even a simple annual breakdown of average ‘owner’ maintenance fees, exchange fees and other fees over time.
There was no explanation of the ROI, except for the ability to book hotels at lower prices. If I ‘own’ something, what equity am I earning? Apparently, none. Thank God we never considered buying. The sales pitch is compelling enough to influence consumers into making impulsive decisions they will regret. If you ask to receive detailed info in order to ‘think it over,’ you’ll be denied because they know anyone with half a brain will never come back after a tad bit of critical thinking. I was thoroughly disgusted by the entire process, from Bass Pro Shop’s misleading ‘getaway vacation’ pitch to the final moments (three hours later) when Troy, the Sales Mgr, resorted to making us feel like losers for walking away in an attempt to ‘guilt’ us into buying. After reading others’ reviews, it’s clear my gut is right. This company makes me sick. Do NOT purchase anything from them. Complete. Scam. They are a disgrace.

They called two weeks after my vacation dates to tell me I had a year to use the package which did me absolutely no good. You will be unhappy with the amount of space available for your vacations.

Bluegreen's billing practices for maintenance fees are usurious. Buyer beware! Bluegreen does not allow payment methods to be made on file for the payment of annual maintenance fees. Your options are paper invoice arriving on or about Feb 1st and due by March 15th or email (I DO NOT RECOMMEND AS BLUEGREEN PEPPERS YOUR INBOX). If you miss this deadline, as I did, this company charges rates that exceed 12% penalty. So an $1380 maintenance fee morphs up an additional $175!!!

I can't contact anyone from this company to let them know that I have done this. I suggest that anyone that is considering this company should take heed and not have anything to do with this company.
Updated on [03/11/2018]: I filed a complaint as to this company misrepresenting their vacation deal. I was upset because their sales representative. Did not tell us about the additional expenses that would occur when we made reservations for our free 4 day 3 night stay in Las Vegas. I wrote the company and requested that we be issued a credit for the money that we had paid to them. I received a phone call from them this morning apologizing for their representative not explaining to us completely about the expenses that we did not know that we had to pay.
The person I spoke to was very professional and immediately issued a credit for the money that we had paid them and was going to speak to their representative for what had happened. I went on my e-mail about 30 minutes after our conversation and there was a credit for our money. I feel that they handled the problem immediately and was very happy that we did not have to fight to get our refund.

All was perfect with her and money was taken ($289.00). I get a call today explaining that we can no longer travel unless my significant other goes with us. Never ever will I stay with these people and nor will I EVER recommend this company unless you have money to just give away with no returned services.

We have been paying for this timeshare for seven years and have not once been able to stay at a resort. Countless lies were told to us at the sales presentation when we said we weren't interest in purchasing. We finally agreed to purchase 3,000 points a year and were shown beautiful places we could stay, and that our points would roll over every year if we didn't use them. Our points got us nothing. We figured we'd save up a few years and then take a vacation, but the points did not roll over. What a waste of $16,000 that we've paid out over the years. After finally having enough, we stopped paying. They wouldn't let us out of our contract. Our credit took a big hit. Don't make the same mistake we did. If it sounds too good to be true, that's because it is.

Bluegreen is a scam and a rip-off. We paid way too much for way too little points. We have enough points to stay at a Bluegreen resort for 3-4 nights, off season, every other year. Our maintenance fees cost us ~$600 every year. So, that equates out to ~$1200 for a 3-4 night vacation every other year, not including the original ~$8000 we paid for the points. For $1200 (and the $8000), we could stay a week at an in-season resort, anywhere we choose, instead of the very limited Bluegreen locations. I regret on a regular basis ever getting suckered into Bluegreen. The salespeople do their job well and make it sound like you're getting an amazing deal.

I am a Bluegreen owner. I bought my timeshare in 1995 and upgraded around 2005. I have spent countless weeks at different resorts from Bluegreen. The thing you need to watch out for is the associate resorts. These resorts are inferior to the ones owned and managed by Bluegreen. When booking your reservations you need to think in the future.
The best time to book your Resort is at least 10 months in advance to benefit from the best ones available. These reservations go first and the ones left over are the Associate resorts on a short notice. You can book the reservation for others. I give my time to friends and family, when I have spare points. The maintenance fees have skyrocketed since we joined, but compared to hotel charges are still reasonable. The front desk at some timeshares are not as accommodating as hotels. Make sure you check out the list of amenities and facilities for each resort, no two are the same. I still am satisfied with my purchase. It forces us to vacation.

We can never get a reservation at the times and for the places we want to go. Our annual fees are nearly $2000 and we received a $1000 credit for a cruise we booked through Bluegreen in exchange for ALL of our annual 25,000 points. We tried the RCI exchange and same result...nothing available when or where we wanted to go. We have paid for the 25,000 points in total, and are now paying an attorney to get us out of the contract so we don't continue to pay annual maintenance fees, taxes, etc. for almost nothing in return. We could have taken a lot of cruises for what we have paid Bluegreen. Don't do this.

After a four hour exhausting presentation and signing nearly all of the closing documents we got to the disclosure page, which revealed a $58 per month maintenance fee. Our pair of sales ladies downplayed the annual billing with an offer to pay the first six payments. When I pointed out the fees were double what my HOA fees are at my personal home. They stated, "I know but sometimes we have to act for this paperwork as precaution." I remind you my sister and her husband attend the presentation also. They didn't have to show any paperwork so what could the problem be. They then had me give a call to my supervisor to seen if he could fax me something saying what was my annual income. I proceed, "What was all this for. Why was I being stereotype because I was in a relationship with my another female."
I ended up leaving go to the front desk where I was greeted by a gentleman Ruban ** who was very helpful and friendly and asked me to report any problems from here on out but he didn't have anything to do with the prize. I contacted customer service who stated that if I attend the class I should have received the gift. Unfortunately I still didn't receive the gift.
I had several workers during my stay ask me more than once was I supposed to be at this resort showing my room key every time like I was not suppose to be there cause of who I was in a relationship with. I will never stay again. The room had roaches in them. I killed at least five during my stay. Nothing could be left out on the counters because of the roaches. Why would I do it for this low point reservation! They don't care about the owners though. I wasn't enough for them to get tens of thousands of dollars for the initial timeshare purchase, the $1300 in maintenance fees every year, or the money I pay for extra vacations. This $45 they won't refund for the points protection, just cost them the trust of a loyal owner. Like I said, I have never had an issue until now. We chose St Augustine as our tour location. After a 7+ hour drive, we checked at the Bluegreen office only to be advised we were staying off grounds due to overbooking. When we pulled up at our assigned "motel", we simply both looked at each other in total disbelief. The place was a dump! Once you commit to purchase, you are obligated to stay in one of their hotels, cutting off for yourself all of the other good options that might be closer to the actual destination you want to stay; whether it be the beach or a downtown area, etc. You are restricted and cannot stay except in the hotels they tell you they have in that city. I believe that this is a scam due to the fact that upon calling to try to make a reservation you will find it is nearly impossible. They will tell you they do not have the hotel you want available but offer you other alternatives which in essence change your whole vacation that you wanted to take. Why would you do this to yourself? It is much easier simpler and cheaper to just go online and find a hotel in the exact location that you want to stay, book it yourself and pay your resort directly.
You do not need this company to plan your vacation hotels and travel for you when what they're offering is not exactly what you need - but then to try to hard sell you other things that is not what you want. If you are considering purchasing a membership with them I highly recommend you ask questions like for them to give you an exact example of what hotels are available in every city that you think you might want to visit and what the likelihood it will be of you getting the actual hotel you want. Sometimes you cannot even find out which hotel you will be getting until close to time to travel. I can't imagine any worse way of planning travel than this, to be honest.

We have previously purchased into a "Sampler Package" ($900) in 2014 & were able to experience a few locations with our purchase & considered it a deal & a decent experience but not worth buying completely into at the time for their "annual maintenance fees." We finally bit into their current offer & are attempting to use a 3 night stay in Myrtle Beach (off season) that we bought into for $100 & 1-2 hours of our time for another sales pitch. They have been absolutely terrible to deal with. The telemarketer that sold me should have been my first clue because she seemed very new & nervous by missing a lot of her script & giving me misinformation about how many nights I could add on (1 not 2).
I could not understand the first person I spoke with when actually trying to make a reservation (so muffled) but ultimately got out of the conversation that nothing was available for the days I was looking for (3 weeks out), even though their website stated otherwise, but he offered me several options surrounding the days & week I requested. I called back the following week (2 weeks out) & they said they were able to get us in & that they would inform me of the location once assigned. They prompted me to confirm my reservation, that had not been assigned to a location yet, as well as had me agree to their fee if I were to cancel & told me that they would contact me within 24-48 hrs to let me know where we would be staying (my mistake). I called 144 hrs later (3 days before arrival) to find that they had put us, a family of four in a standard room at a Courtyard Marriott. Nothing like the locations they promote in their spiel.
I called back to ask about an indoor pool since they are calling for it to be in the 50's & rainy & was told she would put the request in & described the Marriott she was requesting that was equivalent in price & that she personally would contact me & let me know. Nothing. I called back today, 24 hrs out of our arrival, & reached a very brash person that said my request was not approved. When asked if we would be able to use an indoor pool at one of the BlueGreen locations or another Marriott & I was answered with "No." After asking into this further she said that I could ask at check in but that it is uncommon for us to be able to use any upgrade amenities at any other locations. So, we pay annual fees of $764.00 so we can have about 3 nights in prime season, or 5 if you go to the beach in winter. We could just use our maintenance fees and pay for a nicer place for when we actually want to go away, not when they tell us we can. Also, the types of places they own are substandard when compared to what they charge. Once you're in, it's almost impossible to get out. We've tried and it's basically "you pay" to get out. I can only use 2 days every other year! That's the equivalent of my points. And I have to buy additional points to use the camping portion. They claimed that my points would roll right over for camping. They don't. 1 day per year equates to around $1060 after my monthly payment and my maintenance fees. These maintenance fees keep going up too. That was a shocker. She'd told me they'd be around $350 or so. The 1st year, they weren't bad... The 2nd year, they skyrocketed!
If there was ANY legal way I could get out of this contract, I'd do it. They told me non-payment would affect my credit. This was all a lie. Nothing verbally discussed during that 4-hr conversation was accurate. I bought something that is intentionally confusing to mislead customers. We were assured that with 20,000 points we can take our family (10 all included) on all inclusive vacations and cruises. We would have to convert our points with RCI as Bluegreen does not have all inclusive vacations but we can do it. So after our 30-45 day wait before we could book anything we call a couple of all inclusive resorts in the Dominica Republic and yes for our points we can get accommodations BUT we would have to pay for airfare and $260 a day PER PERSON and $144 a day for children for the all inclusive. Well with that it would cost about $10,000 to go on this all inclusive in ADDITION to our points.
We were given a so called FREE cruise to sign up because I was crying about how much this would cost and the cruise is NOT free. You have to pay about $239 for port fees and taxes. You can only go during times they choose and not from June-August. I found that all out afterwards. The worst thing I found out is they tell you that you can GIVE This to your children when you die. Well your children don't have a choice. They have to take it and pay the maintenance fees and membership fees. It's not a choice.
They tell you that you can save your points and borrow points from the next year... Well if you save your points from one year to another they can only be used during certain times of the year. WE were lied to over and over again but didn't find out until we committed to way too much money. They tell you that you come back with them paying for your hotel for training and set us up for 3 months later and we were looking forward to training. It was ANOTHER lie. It was another meeting trying to get us to buy more points. We even asked them to show us how to book the all inclusive and they never did. There was NO training. They had 5 different people talk to us in that second meeting. The one guy has a book on his shelf that is titled "How to say it". They are awful. I can go on and on about all the lies but by now I hope I have convinced you it is not what they say it is.

Purchasing a sampler package is a waste of money. We tried for a year to book online, eventually we had to call in for help due to no inventory available. We were given false information and wasted two weeks waiting for RCI to help us because Bluegreen had nothing, only to find out RCI couldn't help us. They gave us the wrong information. We bought in May 2016 and are still yet to use the remainder of points we have. Talked with a manager who offered no help at all. Don't waste your money!

I have been rude, hung up, yelled at them, been polite and THEY KEEP CALLING!! I have not answered many times and they do not give up. We encountered a Bluegreen vacation sales rep at the Springfield, MO Bass Pro shop while we were coming from Branson MO. The guy there seemed very convincing about the promo vacation package, and really played on our emotions, since we had just returned from Branson and had been totally rained out and we had wanted this to be our 20th wedding anniversary getaway. So we thought it would be a cheap way for us to try again. As he was talking, my gut told me this was too good to be true, but my hubby really wanted to give me another good vacation, so I kept quiet. BIG MISTAKE!!! We bought the package to go to Savannah GA for $199, and made plans to go the second week in September. Well, when hurricane Irma was coming, that should have been our warning to back out of this crap with these scammers, but NO, at the last minute, like dummies we asked to reroute our trip to the smoky mountains. Another big mistake!!!
The hotel accommodations were at a crappy Ramada Inn, and mind you, on the 3rd floor all the way at the end of the hotel!!! I have MS and not good with stairs, but the lady insisted there was nothing else available. NOT SO!! When we looked around that night, there were at least a dozen or more rooms on the first floor VACANT, Bluegreen. Is just so cheap that they didn't want to pay for a first floor room, and the guy at Bass Pro said we would stay in either a HILTON or a MARRIOTT!! LIAR!! And also the lady said that there was an elevator at the far end of the hotel, you know I don't know why these people lie??!!! All there was is this long, creepy walkway that led up to the 3rd floor that WAS handicap accessible, but there was NO WAY a woman like me would EVER walk it because you could get mugged or ** in there!!!
Thank God my husband was with me!! And the first room they gave us was freezing cold BC the a/c was turned up to 10, so I turned the dial down, which kicked the heat on, and all this THICK SMOKE started coming out of the unit and the smoke alarm started going off!! The man sitting on the balcony came in to help me, he switched everything off, and by that time my husband had got there with our stuff. He had to call room service to tell them what was going on, and then we had to go ALL THE WAY BACK UP TO THE OFFICE TO CHANGE ROOMS hoping the next one would be better. It was adequate at best. At least the unit didn't smoke!! We got there on Tuesday, and we went to the sales presentation on Thursday. When we got there we had to fill out a form and show them our ID's and a credit card???
Then we had to fill out all this personal info again (I thought to myself they already had this info, why do they keep wanting it over and over again and what are they going to do with it???). Anyhow, we filled out the paperwork, and sat down. They were calling everyone else's name, but they never called ours!! The lady came up to us and said,"sorry, you don't meet the income criteria for our presentation. You will need to call this 800 number and speak to a rep." So my husband and I went out to the car and he phoned I guess the rep of the company, and talked to her, and she was saying that since we only made $49,000 a year, we were going to have to FAX copies of our w-2's and tax forms to their office!!! I DONT THINK SO!!
Well my husband told them what they can do with their faxing but and then asked if we would be responsible for the crappy hotel accommodations since we drove all the way down here and attempted to go their presentation. She said YES, and gave us a price of $298!!! She's out of her mind!! You can book that crappy room all day long for $51 on Priceline.com, and I'm sure they get it for cheaper than that! We will never, EVER do any business with Bluegreen again! All they want to do is SCAM YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY!!!

This last weekend, my husband and I, along with our 15 year old daughter stayed at Mt. Olympus in Wisconsin Dells. We were "body grabbed" as our representative at Christmas Mountain called it. We initially were told it would be a 120 min presentation and could say no at anytime during and still leave with our discounted tickets. It ended up being a 190 minute presentation and we told them no that we couldn't afford the offers (6 of them), finally after feeling like we were cornered and could not escape, my husband said that he only brought home $400/week, when he actually brings in $700-800/ week.
After he said that, Jerry from Savannah, Georgia got all pissy and started ripping into my husband about long on the invitation. He ended up taking away the discounted tickets, which broke our daughter's heart. I got snippy with him and said, "If you're taking the tickets then I want my money back," and I told him that if the money was not put back on our card I would be calling and complaining. Needless to say the money did get put back in our acct. I have not one NICE thing to say about Bluegreen Vacations. They say they strive on the word of mouth reputation. Well I have read nothing but bad reviews about this company.

Back around April 2015, my then fiance and I "won" a free trip to the Fountains Bluegreen resort in Orlando, FL. We were told it would be 100% free in exchange for an hour long sales meeting about the vacation club. We agreed and went as we hadn't had a vacation in a very long time. The hour long meeting turned into 4 hours of us being pressured and coerced into purchasing. They literally would not let us leave. Every time we said no, they told us to wait and called over another manager. We had a lot of questions and concerns and of course, the sales rep knew exactly what to say to make it seem like a wonderful deal. The Bluegreen sales rep told us a lot of false information - including that maintenance fees never exceed $1000 a year and that Bluegreen would itself buy back any vacation membership in the event that we could no longer afford to pay the loans.
We spent 4 hours explaining to them that we were getting married in a few months and we could not afford the crazy down payments they asked. After being spoken to by 3 different managers, they came back with a "really amazing deal" where they lowered the down payment amount and threw in "free" product. It was our error not asking what our interest rate would be (wound up being over 16.99%), as we did not realize at the time that this would be an actual mortgage payment - this was never communicated to us. At the time it did seem too good to be true but we bought under the assumption that if anything happened, Bluegreen would buy it back and we would not be trapped and we could book a vacation "wherever we wanted" and on short notice. We also were never told about the 30-day refund window either. We bought their recommended package size and were reassured we could do so much with the points we purchased.
Not until we got home and tried to book a long weekend did we realize they did not sell us enough points to go anywhere. We were invited back I think a few months later for an "owner review" where we were again placed in another sales meeting which turned into 3 hours. We regretfully decided to purchase more points so we could at least use our membership we already were paying for. They were also at a "discounted rate" so we were getting a great deal according to the sales rep and manager. About a year ago I received a letter in the mail saying one of our mortgages was "sold" to another company. We had no knowledge, did not get a new account number, nothing. Here we are about 2 years later, only having been able to take 2 long weekends (4 days at most at a time) since purchasing and we are locked into something we cannot get out of.
I've spoken to Bluegreen on a few occasions about our hardships and conveniently each time they have "no record" of my previous complaints. Each time they only direct me to their reseller - Pinnacle Vacations. I did some research and Pinnacle only sells about 10% of the tens of thousands of listings they have. And they require you to PAY to list your vacation package online. So basically that is more money out of our pockets that we do not have. The only other options are to file Bankruptcy or go through a foreclosure. We also have not been able to utilize this package like we were promised as there are never any open rooms when we try to book. You literally have to book a year in advance and even then there is nothing available and to book in advance, your next set of maintenance fees must be prepaid. Regular maintenance fees, we were told, could be paid off over the course of the entire year.
We learned quickly that this is not true and you are only given 3 or 4 months to pay with interest added. And our last maintenance fees were over $1300. I don't know of many people who can come up with that money in a short time or have that extra laying around. I also went through all the paperwork given to us from Bluegreen and I cannot find any paperwork pertaining to our interest rates, the contract we signed, or other literature. It appears those crucial pieces of the agreement conveniently seem to be missing from our packets given to us from Bluegreen. It has been a burden no one should face and from the thousands of complaints I have seen, this company will stop at no end to get your money and lock you into a trap.

Please avoid Bluegreen vacations. They employ a tactic that borders on extortion, intimidation and downright bullying to sell their product. It's a scare tactic to con you into making an immediate decision for fear of losing any "special" they are presenting. Sales persons will shade the truth and at times outright lie to gain a sale. These tactics remind me of the used car salesman in the red plaid suit with the big cigar. These points time shares can't be sold, traded or otherwise gotten rid of without virtually a total loss of your investment. Unfortunately, I have first hand experience!!

The payoff is many vacations to come. We purchased with the plan to use it when we are retired. Understanding the reservation system and planning are a key part of successful ownership. We get our points in Sept. plan several trips for the upcoming year at several resorts. Maximize point usage by staying Sun-Thurs most of the time and a weekend here and there. A representative told me I was receiving a 4 day 3 night stay and an 4/3 cruise for $298 and wanted me to pay now. I declined. They put me on hold... I was connected to a manager named James. He was very helpful. He convinced me it was a valid offer. I signed up. He then informed me there was an upgrade for an additional hundred dollars. That was my only mistake. It would have gave me an extended cruise and third vacation. Hindsight is 20/20. I missed out on that.
I took my vacation about two months later. I went to Orlando. I stayed in a Hilton. It was really nice. Then I toured the fountains resort. The presentation was fun and informative. Could not have had a better time and saved more money. Just wish I would have taken the upgrade. I notice a lot of people complaining about the same vacations. My guess they did not actually take the vacations or they are just miserable. It was an awesome vacation. Had great service from start to finish and their phone reps are great. Again thanks to Jonathan and James.

Don't do it! They sell it on the phone as a free vacation but it's not! It's a 90% discount on 2 separate vacations. You pay $298 for 3 days and 2 nights at a hotel (I picked Vegas) but you have to attend an APPROXIMATELY 2 hour presentation and tour. Other people say it's really 3-4 hours. AND YOU PAY FOR AIRFARE, PARKING, CAR RENTAL, FUEL. I can fly to Vegas and stay for 2 nights for about $600, or less with promos.
After that vacation and presentation you can go on a cruise. Again YOU PAY FOR AIRFARE, TAXI, CAR RENTAL, etc. I'm not sure if the cruise is contingent upon timeshare purchase. It wouldn't surprise me if it is. HOW TO CANCEL: If you purchased look at the bottom of your emails, click on terms and conditions, go to the bottom again. The cancellation has to be in writing. I'm going to cancel it and get my money back.

I didn't find out that they cancelled my reservation because the hotel that they assigned me, didn't have any availability until 2 days before travelling. It was just pure luck that I called to find out the amenities that the resort provided and I was told by the guest front desk that our reservation was cancelled. When I called Bluegreen to dispute the cancellation that was not requested by me, I was told that I had to rescheduled due to lack of availability. I put a request, but I also said if there's nothing available leave everything the way it WAS, because my husband and me already requested days off from work to be able to travel to St. Petersburg.
Needless to say, it was a snowball of problems after that. They don't care about you, they just care to sell you a timeshare one way or another. After writing a letter in front of them telling them my bad experience, all they say was that they could sell me a week at a discount price. They clean themselves with my letter. My wife and I were promised the perfect dream vacation club. We signed up for a 7000 point bi-annual vacation package for generations with a set maintenance fee. We are an active duty military family of four on a single income. We have attempted to book our dream vacation for the last 12 months with no available room at the resort of our choice. We were guaranteed that we would be able to book any resort as long as we book a few months out and had the points available.
Unfortunately, a full year has now come and gone. Now I am being told that the 3500 points will disappear if not used by 31Aug2017. How is it possible that the point I have paid for will be lost due to unavailability? I of course have an option to pay $50 to carry them forward! I called the sales rep and spoke with the available supervisor after sharing my dissatisfaction and the burden that this broken contract has become. I then asked how is this even legal? She informed me that they were willing to work with me but I could not be guaranteed a booking unless I was reserving the date 11-13 months in advance.
I was informed that if it is possible to book at a different resort for week ** because that was what we were deeded for. I informed her that we never requested to be deeded at that specific location or select that week. Active duty military personnel cannot book leave that far in advance. My husband is a career military man that plans on being active duty as long as possible. There will never come a time over the next 12-18 years where we will be able to take advantage of this vacation package.
We attended the presentation at Big Cedar and insisted that we must vacation there each year to decompress and enjoy that beautiful resort. We cannot sell until the package is fully paid for $9,000! Now we must carry a burden with monthly payment for a service that we are not being provided? This cooperation should be banned for their actions and taking advantage of families across the nation. It is sickening to think that anyone would take advantage of the American people or military family that protect the civil rights of this nation.

After we booked, paid, screen said we have now to call to confirm. Done. After that a couple of days they call us to confirm again. We did. They call again 2 times to confirm, I told them I am coming and I am not confirming anymore.
When we arrived into hotel, hotel charged us $51 for taxes for 3 nights??? So, now saving total is around $50. Bluegreen called us and said we have to come to their office to confirm presentation, both of us must come there: They told us on our arriving we must first come to them before going to hotel. They gave us a blue pcs of paper we have to give to hotel reservation. We must give them our major credit card to take a copy of it. We must sign if we do not attend to presentation or violate any of their rules, they will charge us full price of hotel up to $949!!! We must go tomorrow to presentation which is about 15 minutes from our hotel. Ok. Done.
Next day we went there. Nice place. Nice people. Salesman and saleswoman... pushy but nice. They took a total of 3 1/2 our time. I didn't complain but my wife did since our daughter of 3 years was all the time with us. We didn't purchase time share because we know from some people we met on vacations before that actually is more expensive, much more than if you book by yourself, but I wanted to have that experience. When we came back to our room after a total of 4 1/2 hours we recognize our day is gone so we decide to purchase one day more at hotel $119, so now we are in minus about $70.
Presents were: Two voucher for Mt. Olympus, yes, but for water park only and no theme park and no parking ticket. 9. Food gift card is not that. You get a code printed on that card. You have to go into that internet side, make your account find restaurants they accept this coupons, you have to print them, and you can use them only if you purchase a lot at that restaurant. You can't buy with coupon only. Haha lot of fun. Took me over one hour to do all this. TOTAL FACT, SCAM. DON'T FALL INTO THIS SCHEME.

We stayed 3 nights at a local hotel, and the following day viewed The Big Cedar Lodge in Branson, MO. It is beautiful! It is everything you would want in a resort. The Lodge is all wood, log cabin style with amazing limestone fireplaces. The cabins are nicer than most houses. The beautiful pool has a lazy river and Lake Taneycomo access. Seriously, this is 5 STAR! We told them over and over that YES!!, we love it!! What's not to love? Everyone was very, very nice.
But to buy into this timeshare is $29,900 and $1,000 a year for maintenance and membership fees. We explained over and over that we could not afford this. They would not let us go. We were grilled for 3 hours with our 2 grandchildren with us. We had to explain over and over that it was more than we could afford on our Social Security income, but they persisted that this was for our family, and our grandchildren. The sales lady even said "We have invested in you." We were put in a room with the Inventory Specialist. She persisted as if we were not telling her the truth that we could not afford this.
We did not ask to come to this property. We were responding to our one free night that we earned at the Clarion Hotel. We later talked to several other people who were in our original group that said they were not pressured nearly as much as we were. They said they had responded to a Bass Shop promotion and got a 3 night cruise for their reward. The 3 free nights were enough of a reward, but we REALLY felt drained when we left.

The vacation share package is a tax write off and a potential investment. Not in all states! 3. You can earn points to pay the maintenance fees. We'll never know! 4. We were there too long and the process is exhausting. 5. We were constantly asked if we felt mislead about any information. Well, you won't know until you get home and dig deeper into the mess.
Buyers BEWARE! If you want to over pay for vacations and at a high interest rate for the share package go right ahead and knock yourselves out. To each his own! I was told by a timeshare advocate that NO timeshares are good nor are they investments. You can definitely pay to vacation at a cheaper rate if you catch sales and plan properly. Good news! It's only be a little over a month since my parents got into this mess and it may take 6 months for them to get out. With only one $415 payment made, it will be well worth the leg work to get out of it.

Let me first say I'm not recommending this but our experience was outstanding. I signed up for 4 days/3 nights in Las Vegas at last minute my wife said no to Vegas nor could I get cheap flights. So I called on a Tues. before we were to go and changed it to the Smokey Mountains. No problem done in about 10 minutes. For a week I read all the negative reviews and I was not looking forward to a long presentation nor a high pressure sales pitch. None of that happened.
I had paid the$199 with the promise of a $150 gift card, and again I figured with all the negatives I'm going to get ripped off one way or another. Here what happened. We showed up to the welcome center at 4:45 pm took about 15 minutes to register, and the gal says, "I have wave your presentation requirement just show up at 11:15 tomorrow and present this paperwork and you will receive your card". My thought this to good to be true since we were in no way going to buy. Well then the stories about the hotels being dives. No further from the truth. We got a room at a Baymont right in the middle of the action. I step up to the counter with my voucher for the room and the very nice young lady said, "we have upgraded you to a suite with a king bed, fireplace and hot tub, you are only responsible for the taxes." Which was $40 for the 3 nights and the room was great.
So the next morning we show up at the presentation center 10 minutes early as instructed and handed them the paperwork. We were told to take a seat, in about 4-5 minutes they called us to the desk, handed us our card, told us it was activated and have a good day. WOW what a great experience 4 days/3 nights for a total of $89 exactly what I was hoping. We were blessed far beyond what I could have ask for or imagined, by the grace of God.

In April I entered a contest to win a car, why not right? Several weeks later I received a call saying I had won a two separate stays and a cruise through Bluegreen. I was highly skeptical, but my husband said it was a good, successful business and that I really had won something. When they said we had to pay, $298 for X amount of nights vacation and a cruise, but that we would received food vouchers etc. Long story short, my husband paid the $298 and two months later we were off for our first family vacation and all we had to do was attend a meeting.
Well, the "prizes" I won were not prizes. After we left the meeting and I read everything we were given I realized it was not worth it. The $400 back was "dining dough" that you have to pay in order to even use. You have to go online and do so prior to dining in a restaurant. So, if I want to save 50% on a meal you have to pay $X amount in order to do so. That is ridiculous. Also, the two nights, three days hotel stay is way too complicated. You have to register within sixty days, pick three separate dates and preferences and wait for them to mail you a certificate of the nights. In addition you have to pay $X amount of money (just enough so you are basically covering the cost, but they aren't making much of a profit on you) to start this process and for tax etc. The cruise is very similar. It's a free cruise, but it's necessary to pay $239 a person.
That's not free and that's not a prize. Nor is the $298 my husband spent for us to stay at a Bluegreen resort that we never got to stay at. Maybe if people were allowed to stay at a nice Bluegreen resort and actually given what they said they would be given they would purchase a time share through them. I feel like it was just a way for us to pay their baseline. They may not earn much of a profit off of our "prizes" we were given, but we paid them. Them paying "$400 a lead" or for us to go there is completely false.

Signed up at Bass Pro for a free vacation. Got a call and paid for three day vacation with a free cruise after I completed a sales pitch. The hotel they put us in was not what we expected. It was very run down and dirty. Elevators not working. I have now read the cruise is a scam and we will likely not be able to take it without spending more than the cruise is worth. The sales manager acted as if he had no idea the hotel we were staying at is a dump but I have since read that is a common complaint so that was a complete lie that they didn't know. I am very thankful we had enough sense to say no to this scam at the sales presentation. They made it look like a wonderful thing but I have since read that the buyers can't get booked into the places they want and so aren't even able to use their points. We did pay extra to upgrade our hotel room to a so called condo. What a joke!

Do not purchase a vacation package from Bluegreen Vacations. I received one as a gift and got the attached email directly from them. There was not information regarding blackout dates, expiration, or restrictions. I spend 45 minutes on a call with customer service trying to book a room. Was told that my request was during peak season and that I would have to pay extra. I agreed, 30 minutes later was told that the dates I requested were not available and I would have to travel during a specific period of time. I requested a refund since the dates did not work for us and was told "no". I forwarded the email I received from Bluegreen Vacations to the manager and she stated that it was not their responsibility to let us know of the "fine print" even though they had sent me the email. Don't waster your time (I wasted 2 hours) and was not able to book or get a refund. Save your money and time, book through the hotel itself.

I purchased a 4/3 night vacation through Bluegreen Getaways. After turning down the offer at first, I was told by the sales agent that I would receive a free cruise if I purchased the vacation and commit to a two hour timeshare presentation. Instantly, the salesperson gave me a $50 MasterCard gift card. Lo and behold, I took the vacation to Las Vegas. I was issued another $50 MasterCard. I asked the agent about my free cruise and she stated that she didn't see anything on my account for it and I should call Bluegreen Getaways about it. I called Bluegreen. I emailed a copy of my receipt and sales information flyer that I received at the time of purchase. They said they could not honor it because they had already given me an extra $50 MasterCard. I definitely did not ask for the extra MasterCard.
Why would I, knowingly, exchange a free cruise for a $50 MasterCard. The lead salesperson stated that they could not exchange the card for the cruise because I knew what I was signing up for. I only purchased the vacation for the cruise! This company and their salespeople are scammers! They say what they think they need to say in order to get a sale. Do not fall for it like I did!

In October 2016, based on an invitation from Bluegreen Vacations to evaluate their vacation program, we chose to go to the Smokey Mountains. When we arrived, we were given lodging at a motel stating that the local Bluegreen vacation facility was filled. We attended the obligatory presentation and were beguiled by Bluegreen's wonderful properties. Although we did not purchase a property at that time, we did select a Sampler package for $798. We assumed that this would allow us to see excellent vacation opportunities and perhaps convince us to become a Bluegreen owner.
Shortly thereafter, we initiated a number of phone calls with Bluegreen to try to secure a place in mid-May of 2017, a time when we traditionally take a vacation. For the most part, they had limited properties available for the sample package and most had been filled. Finally, in February of this year, based upon the recommendation of Bluegreen vacation, we chose Casa Del Mar in Ormond Beach. The representative indicated to us that this was the only property in the Florida beach area available to us. On May 15, 2017 we arrived at Casa Del Mar in Orlando, FL looking forward to a week at a "lovely, very nice" resort (per reservationist).
We flew into Orlando, rented a car and drove to Casa Del Mar (about 1 1/2 hrs). We checked in early and were told someone was being sent to clean our room. (IF WE HAD BEEN TOLD our room would not be ready for 4 1/2 hours, we would have been prepared for a long wait and had options for the afternoon.) We enjoyed lunch at Riptide and then returned to Casa Del Mar where we sat by a small (backyard size) pool. We had to look for shade, because there were only a few options and they were taken. It is Florida where umbrellas by the pool should be an option!
The beach was bare and again Bluegreen provides no amenities - Like beach chairs. The bathroom on the first floor was definitely not tended to and a staff member suggested (without my mentioning anything) that I go to a different one to change to my swim suit. 4 1/2 hours later while we sat looking at half torn down yellow danger tape surrounding the broken hot tub, we were notified our room was ready. By then the decision to leave had been made - no way are we spending precious vacation time here!!
We called Bluegreen and after about 30 minutes, were told our only option was to return to Orlando and stay at The Fountains for 4 NIGHTS. We were then to return to Casa Del Mar. A staff member suggested we look at the newly renovated room we would stay in when we returned. We complied and when we stepped in, the smell of germicidal cleaning products was horrific! No way!!! We returned to Orlando in massive traffic (2+ hrs). The facility here is fine but, of course, there is no beach so we have had to forgo our planned beach vacation. We don't have children with us so Orlando would never have been our choice for this vacation. We just wanted some R & R.
We did our obligatory meeting today and shared our experience with Mirko ** and Janice **. At their request, we took time to write our experience. Janice offered us lots of things if we would purchase a Bluegreen Vacation Package. Really, why would we? If Bluegreen has luxury resorts, we wouldn't know from our current experience.
The additional days at Casa Del Mar were appropriately canceled. Our relaxing getaway interrupted by wait time at Casa Del Mar, hours of driving, mandatory meeting time and time to write this. Then there is the expense incurred for this vacation: Airfares, car rental/gas and need to find a room for the next 3 nights as The Fountains seems not to be able to accommodate us. This will be a memorable vacation and not a positive one!
The positives: Orlando has nice restaurants (however, so does St. Louis), people have been nice so it bides well for employee training. Lucy, concierge at Casa Del Mar, gets high marks for being upbeat, fun and full of ideas of things to do in Daytona. However, we were not given the opportunity to use the Sampler Package as told to us in our original encounter. We were shown lovely replica of facilities and pictures of beautiful resorts. Although we believe we are entitled to a refund of $798 and the cost of 3 nights lodging in Orlando, we are willing to accept restitution of our Sampler package points (and an extended time in which to use them) in a desirable Bluegreen location.

My wife and I were the victims of the "Blue Green" Vacation Time Share Scam. Please be aware of the false promises and difficulty in making reservations less than a year in advance. The company works on overselling the availability so that it is very difficult to reserve a room in higher demand areas less than 13 months in advance. They sell timeshares based on levels with each level having a longer time to reserve. For example, the Silver Level can reserve 11 months in advance. The Gold level has 12 months in advance to reserve. It is impossible to reserve a few months in advance for the high demand areas because the higher member levels have reserved most/all of the rooms.
Blue Green also sells a much higher number of timeshare points than rooms that are available, essentially forcing customers to use points on other options that are more expensive than the cost of the points. They encourage people to use hotel points or open time share points exchanges. Please don't be a sucker like we were, avoid Blue Green.

We purchased $150 package at Bass Pro Shops in exchange for an, on-the-spot $50 Bass Pro gift card. Along with that, we would get our choice of where we'd go on vacation and when, for 3 nights. Once we went, we would be required to sit through a 2-hour promotion for a timeshare. After that, we'd receive a total of $100 in Bass Pro gift cards. Fast forward to the vacation. We arrived at the welcome center to get our destination location. The Bluegreen representatives at the arrival center said we (and many of the other families were excused from the presentation) but we'd go to the convention center the next day to receive our gifts. Many people were there for the same reason and everyone was getting sent to different locations. Although the Outdoor Traveler website said we'd be staying at the Laurel Crest in the Smokey Mountains, we ended up at the Ramada Inn - South location.
After seeing the hotel they put us in, we figured there was another reason to bring us to the convention center. Fortunately for us, we arrived the next day and spent five minutes to receive our gift cards. That was it. Done. We were responsible for the taxes of the hotel. I'm glad the one we ended up staying at was "cheaper" so it only cost $40 in taxes. Would I do it again if they didn't require any purchase? No! Why? There are cheaper options out there for what we paid in total. Now, we're trying to figure how to spend the gift cards because we don't go to the store often. Since then, we completed a different company offer of a timeshare program.
They're all there to sell, sell, sell. But they are scam, after scam, after scam. Plus, they make it very hard for you to leave without taking something from you. My advice... Spend more time researching low-cost vacations and less time researching on how timeshare presentations worked for other people. It'll save you more than a headache in the long-run.

My elderly mother intimidated into signing a contract. When using her existing timeshare points in Florida recently, the Sales department at Bluegreen coerced her into signing a contract for another timeshare (when she already has 2 she doesn't use regularly). She is not well physically or emotionally right now due to the recent loss of her daughter, and was not in the right state of mind to be dealing with pushy salespeople. Although she was with her significant other, they were not given the opportunity to speak privately about the matter during the encounter, nor was she given time to read the contract or provided any information on the cancellation policy.
After the rest of her trip around Florida, she returned home over a week later and went through the paperwork and saw that she had to cancel within 10 days. It was already slightly over that time, but she overnighted the paperwork immediately to cancel the contract. Bluegreen is not honoring the cancellation and is now harassing her with statements that she owes them over $5,000. This is a disgrace that a company could so clearly take advantage of an older women. I will repost when we get this resolved one way or another and continue to look for other avenues to voice my dissatisfaction with this company.

We had purchased BlueGreen's sampler package - yes after all the high pressure 4 hours sales pitch at our first vacation package we had purchased at Shenandoah. So we get the sampler package which is limited significantly on use - when we did attempt to use (which as I work in a school setting) extremely limited so-called availability. We were able to get a few nights in at Wisconsin Dells before Christmas - yes again had to sit through another sales presentation to upgrade and throughout this never given an actual cost. When again had time in my schedule which was school spring break - nothing available so was not able to use my points.
There are extreme limitations for summer use (apparently 3 resorts) - I have only used 3 nights of the package and have the bulk of the points left (7995) which they will only allow me to extend to the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (again only time I have off is for the break and Christmas time). Be aware of those buying these packages that they sell with so many options and opportunities are extremely limited and in our case unusable. Very disappointed with this company as what was sold did not represent what is actually available.

Then wants you to buy a timeshare that is too expensive monthly. You can book a last minute deal cheaper than their monthly program.

Of course after seeing the prices all of sudden I wasn't too excited. I got discouraged to say the least. My husband was still excited and wanted to purchase the travel package. I did. Certified. I was a day late. You spend the couple days there and then you come home send the letter and by the time it gets there they said it was too late. I don't believe them. RCI you have to pay all this money additional to your monthly fee as well as using your points. The places take a lot of points. It is so much cheaper to take that monthly payment each month and put on a vacation acct and then use it instead of buying a timeshare. Also, if you live in the state of MD you do not have to sit with them after the preview. You can still get your free stuff and leave. It isn't free. My husband and I were drawn in to speak to the representatives at the Bluegreen Vacations booth at a County Fair in September of 2016. We were told about a seemingly great deal to come to Vegas and stay at the Bluegreen Club 36 Resort. In exchange for paying $200 and booking a trip we were promised several perks. Knowing we were wanting to go to Vegas, this felt like a great deal so much so that I called my in-laws over to the booth to hear what information we were given. *I referred them to come over when they otherwise wouldn’t have come.* They were offered the SAME perks and the representatives told us to just simply book the trip on different days. We were under the impression they meant call on different days to book the trip, not book separate vacations (why would Bluegreen expect people to do this?).
Weeks leading up to the trip we were called to ask about being in a group. We were also told if it were to be found out that we were in a group we would be charged a fee of $200 each. As I hope you can understand this caused great concern and stress. For $400, what we paid between the 4 us, we could have easily stayed somewhere else for a few nights and to have to pay an additional fee for something we were not warned about. So, we maintained that we were not in a group because we did not get sold this trip as a group. We live in our own home, pay our own bills, make our own money and pay taxes just like every other individual in the great USA. We are 29 and 32 years old, not children, teenagers or even young college students attending a presentation with their parents. Can someone please acknowledge there is a difference?
Our trip was booked for 3/16/17-3/19/17. We opted to drive to Vegas separately, checked in separately and attended the presentation separated from each other. When we checked in there were no issues. We sat through the entire presentation and once it was over we weren't with the sales rep more than a few minutes when a manager came up and told us that our "family" would be "joining us for the presentation", drag up two extra chairs and then promptly left, leaving our sales rep and us taken completely off guard. This lead to a very confusing and frustrating interaction with the sales representative. At no time prior to the manager dragging two additional chairs to our table were we ever asked again about the group issue.
Eventually someone else came up to us and told us they wouldn't charge us the fee (oh, gee thanks) but they were taking away our gifts. When we asked on what basis she said the system flagged us as a group based on a number of factors. So, as a thank you for not only booking this trip but also referring another potential timeshare owner, the gifts that were promised to my husband and me were taken away and only given to my in-laws (my referral to Bluegreen). Additionally, we were made to feel like criminals because we wanted to be seen as individuals, which is what we are, instead of a group. If we have the financial stability to purchase a timeshare on our own we should have been given the right to be treated as individuals. The manager also claimed to have no authority to allow us to keep our gifts, stating it was "company policy."
So let me get this straight, in the 21st Century how could a company that is supposedly so wonderful and so amazing and so well loved by its owners maintain a policy that is so asinine and applied so broadly with no room for evaluation on a case by case basis? And if Bluegreen does give freedom to their managers (who knows - maybe he did and felt the need to exercise a power trip) why they would employ someone with so little regard to large scale repercussions is alarming.
What that experience told me is #1. Bluegreen DOES NOT love you know matter what and #2. It was worth ruining two sales representative's opportunities to sell us a timeshare (the reps didn’t even get a chance to talk to us before being bombarded by a manager), it was worth taking away $350 in gifts and it was worth making the entire Bluegreen Vacations name a sour taste in our mouths which will no doubt be shared via multiple avenues, all to maintain a policy that is so ridiculous and stringent that there's no room to make exceptions on a case by case basis.
Tell me, is this how Bluegreen truly operates? I don't appreciate the stress this caused me being 6 months pregnant. I don't appreciate being taken to the lobby while I am visibly upset to be seen by other guests being told we wouldn't get the gifts we were promised and I don't appreciate a company that employs managers that either won't exercise their power to review situations and make exceptions or won't give their managers the power to make exceptions on a case by case basis. I will never book another timeshare presentation in my life due to this experience.

He told any lie to sell us and they make it very difficult to cancel your product purchase. 3 out of 4 times we have used our so called "Choice hotel privileges", the hotels were straight out of hell. Don't do business with this company! If we could get our money back now of what we have paid, believe me, we would. Is there any honest timeshare companies left out there? Twice burned and totally never doing it again.

My wife and I have been Bluegreen owners for many years and I must say we were happy owners, starting with the sampler trial program and moved up to various upgrades. Until our last upgrade in Myrtle Beach at the Carolina Grande. First of the whole vacation was a horrible experience for my wife and I. Upon our arrival we were place in a non-Bluegreen property next door to the Sea Glass and was told that all the rooms were booked. The property was definitely not the caliber of any Bluegreen property. Nevertheless my wife and I made the best of the vacation, visiting the city and other Bluegreen facilities to find out or was told that we should have never been placed in a non-Bluegreen facility but the reservation desk thought that we were visiting the resort for a preview as not as owners. WHAT A SLAP IN THE FACE!!!
Well anyway, a Bluegreen rep reviewed our owners contract and said that he noticed that we were paying a lot of money for our points and that he could redo our contract and make us SILVER VIP owners and reduce our maintenance fees to less than what we were paying. The rep stated that he would even assist us in refinancing after the purchase to reducing our payments down to an even lesser amount. After saying to us that no money was necessary at the time to complete the transaction, he later came back saying that we had to put money down, then he later said that we had to secure the point rate at the time which was 25 Sept 2016.
I should have not signed anything, but because I had never had a Bluegreen rep misrepresent the company l went ahead and signed, then the rep and HIS MANAGER, came back and said that they couldn't find my BLUEGREEN REWARDS account and that to complete the transaction that I would have to reapply for another REWARDS card, which I later found was a lie. Well we didn't complete the contract that day due to our flight back to Michigan, so the agreement was that the REP would send us the contract, would go over the contract with him via FACETIME and then return the contract back to Bluegreen with the expectation of getting a copy of the contract immediately following their receipt of the contract from us. We didn't receive a copy of the contract until Jan 2017 and that was after many complaints were made to Customer Care and back to the Carolina Grande.
Customer Care wasn't called until the rep told me that I better stop calling his phone. Nevertheless it is now April 2017 and we are seriously upset, we are not happy or content. I have personally talked to Customer Care reps and everyone of them have said that they see the errors in my contract or they understand and apologize for the misrepresentation by the rep or to even say that our contract is full of errors. Mind you we only upgraded with the intentions of lowering our maintenance fees and to consolidate our two Bluegreen accounts. Which never happen. This rep lied and equity traded only one property which happened to be the property that we only owed less that $2000 but was supposed to had equity trade both properties. The document authorizing the equity trading of both properties was in the initial package we signed in Oct 2016 but when we received the copy of the contract in Jan 2017 then document was not in the package.
Two week, my wife and I spoke with the new Sales Manager at the Carolina Grande. She was appalled at the treatment that we received. She said that she would request our contract and get back to us with a resolution. I've talked to Customer Care which has been useless but to only told on numerous occasions that we will get back to you and the latest comment was that there was nothing that he could do and that I could not talk to a supervisor or anyone else in the company and if I got screwed it my fault. I'm getting better conversation from Bluegreen Mortgage Collections Department. There are so many holes in my contract that every time one is filled another pops up.
At this point after the threats of damaging my credit and afraid to agree to the contract, I just want to go back to my contract or void this contract because your SALES REP lied and misrepresented your company. I would hate to have to get other entities involved but in accordance to the way that my wife and I have been treated, it will be appropriate. YOU HAVE EFFECTIVELY MISTREATED A LOYAL CUSTOMER BLUEGREEN.

It was nothing more than a free vacation for me. I knew going in that they were going to do their best to sell me a package of some sort of vacation. I decided I would listen to what they had to say and most definitely consider it. However, after listening to what they had to say, my husband and I decided that we would not use it enough and it was not financially a benefit for us and we were upfront and told them so. The salesman, disappointment but happy that we were honest, was ok and not pushy. He gave us a few other offers that we did consider, but we refused. We left and were happy for the experience. Nothing more nothing less.
The folks were nice and they had great customer service. That's it. There was nothing sneaky about it. We were able to spend four days in Williamsburg, VA from March 24, 2017 to March 27, 2017. We meet with Daniel at 2:30 on Saturday (the 25th). Daniel was a great guy. If we ever decide to buy into a vacation package, we would seek out Daniel. We just felt the time in our life to spend the money was not the right time.

After reading several reviews, I have to admit I am confused as to why there is so much hate. My husband and I are owners and have vacationed in Orlando, Branson, Big Sky, Myrtle Beach, Savannah and Lincoln, New Hampshire. We book online, so there are no hassles. We can either use points, points and cash, or just cash. Since we prefer traveling in off-seasons, we have no trouble booking. Flexibility is the key! As for the "update seminars," you aren't forced into attending and if you do, you don't have to buy. A few years ago, it may have been more high pressure, but they are moving away from that. Updates are important and informative, but it is also info that you can get online. My only recommendation: buy through the Wilderness Club - Big Cedar, Paradise Point, or The Cliffs.

I am a "Platinum" (less than .1% of all owners) Bluegreen owner and would like to write this review in the hopes that it will keep others from making the same mistakes that we have made. Bluegreen Resorts is a timeshare that is heavily marketed by Bass Pro Shop as a getaway resort. I do agree that the Bluegreen resorts are excellent quality but the problem is that you can never get the prime resorts when you want. Our original thought was that we could make reservations at the places we want at the times of the year we wanted to go. What we have found is anything but that. We find ourselves simply making reservations at resorts and times of the year that we would not really want to but have to just so that we use our points without losing them.
BlueGreen is very good at playing on the heart strings playing the "it's something that you can give your kids" or "it's a great deal", "where else can you go to reserve 4 and 5 star resorts for the cost". What they don't tell you is that if you factor in the value of money and the ever increasing cost of maintenance you could do much better on your own. I complained to BlueGreen asking them to buy back our timeshare only for them to tell me that my only option was to try to sell it through Pinnacle (which I contacted and was told that they can't sell our points with privileges because we have too many) or I could donate them to charity.
I don't know about you but I can't afford to give away almost $100,000. That's a lot of money. I also countered to BlueGreen asking them to buy back our timeshare for 75 cents on the dollar but that was a no go also. I also contacted Bass Pro Shop asking for their assistance but to no avail, they just tell you to take it up with Bluegreen. If Bass Pro Shop were really interested in customer satisfaction they should review their partnership with Bluegreen.

I cannot believe we actually bought into their phony vacations. We have been trying for a year to book a reservation with Bluegreen just to be told everything is already booked up. EVERY TIME WE CALL! We set on hold for at least 20-30 min then get a different agent to tell us something different every time regarding our account. And there is nothing they can do since their supervisors don't take phone calls! Extremely frustrating. After a year of extreme frustration, we asked to please be let out of contract and want money back since they are not holding up their end of the contract. With no luck they say we are stuck. They make all kinds of promises they don't keep. There is no "amazing vacation" like they promise, just year worth of headaches. And endless minutes spent on hold. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND SANITY! Stay away from Bluegreen Vacations.

This company is the biggest rip off! Without going into a long story, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!!! Before going to one of these sales pitches READ REVIEWS! I wished I had done a little research first to save me 3 hours of grief! I can assure you I did not fall for the smoke and mirrors and didn't give them a dime. But none the less it was 3 hours of BS! It blows my mind that they try and sucker you out of $40,000 PLUS they try and charge you an additional $350 process fee??? Really?! After you give them $40,000???
"OOOH! But if you purchase today, you can finance that at 16.99%." WOW!! When I called the salesperson out on it he told me I could refinance it through my bank and whispered, "This is Mob Financing" Are you freaking kidding me!? Once the sales guy realized I wasn't going for any of their BS, he leaned into me and said, "Please just let me get through this and we will be done." It's a shame that this is even legal. And what's even worse is that the people that work there could care a less about you as long as you put money in their pockets.

I was reading all these hateful reviews about BG timeshares and I had to provide my own two sense. You notice I spelled it sense. If you don't like, or trust timeshares, don't buy one. We have had great experiences with our BG ownership. We bought in at Big Cedar Lodge on Table Rock Lake in Missouri in about 2005. I will agree with some of the posts that it can be difficult to book a vacation at some of the destinations sometimes. Big Cedar is very hard to get a reservation. But you have to be flexible, people. Since we joined we have vacationed in Big Cedar Lodge 3 times, Paradise Point (also at Table Rock Lake), Orlando, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, San Francisco, Las Vegas twice, Wisconsin Dells, Phoenix. Some of these destinations were through Select Connections or whatever it's called that partners with BG, and yes, you pay a fee to access their inventory, but it is only like $50 and it gives you access to a lot more places.
Also we have used our points for hotel stays in Chicago, Minneapolis, Omaha, and Dallas. If you are a person that doesn't like to spend a lot of time planning your vacations do not buy a timeshare. You have to spend some time figuring out where you want to go, what season, how many points, and you have to be somewhat flexible. If I can't go to Miami can I go to Fort Lauderdale? How about Delray Beach? And Hot Weeks can also be awesome. Most of the time there isn't much that I am interested in. But, sometimes there is. We are talking any place on the list, all over the world, always only 3,000 points. I repeat, only 3,000 points. You just have to be able to travel on short notice. Why else would it be only 3,000 points? Duh? They are trying to sell off their excess inventory at the last minute and 3,000 points is totally awesome.
You can also book destinations all over the world through partnership with RCI. Yes, there are fees to transfer your points to RCI, but you are paying for that flexibility. I believe that BG reps have been honest and professional. I decided to sign up and I did not feel pressured to do so. I have been to other timeshare presentations that I thought I might not make it out alive unless I committed to something. Not so with BG. I have bought additional points, upgraded, twice since my initial purchase, voluntarily. I could have said no, and have on several occasions. More points equals more flexibility. Yes, there are maintenance fees but the money is used to keep the places NICE. If you stay at a BG owned facility it will be nice. Some of the associate resorts, not so much, but most are OK. Read the information about each resort. Understand it so you have realistic expectations.
We have stayed at associate resorts that were not very fancy, certainly not like a BG owned and managed facilities which are always very nice, but they were clean, decent, and had other perks that are offsetting in my mind. Like right on a secluded stretch of Florida Gulf Coast beach. Walk out the door onto the beach. Fish all day in the surf. What's not to like? Nothing fancy about the room but certainly adequate. A great vacation. BG is also always purchasing timeshares in new locations, expanding our opportunity. Since we joined I don't know how many new places have been added but I know at least the following; New Orleans, Savannah, New York City, San Antonio, Dennis Port, to name a few. They are also using that maintenance fee money to renovate certain resorts that need to be updated, keeping everything nice and topnotch for the owners.
And finally, yes the "Owner Updates." These meetings take about an hour if you control the time clock. If you let them, they will keep you longer. It is an opportunity for them to try to sell you more points, an upgrade. It is also an opportunity for you to purchase more points. If you don't want to, then tell them no. I have been to owner updates probably eight times. I upgraded at two, said no at six. As the name implies, owner updates also are an opportunity to find out what is going on with your BG membership. New programs, new properties, new exciting stuff that you are learning about and can ask questions. Timeshares also motivate to some extent your potential to take a vacation or not. You are paying the maintenance fees whether you go anywhere or not. Your points expire and you lose them if you do not go anywhere. So go.
So, in summary, come on people, timeshares are not for everyone. You have to be honest with yourself. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. You really think you are going to stay in five star resorts every time, everywhere for a few points? No. Do you think those five star resorts just kind of take care of themselves and you shouldn't have to pay maintenance fees? No. Do you not want your vacation purveyor to keep adding new destinations, new programs, more flexibility? Yes, you do. Haven't you noticed that "stuff" is expensive and companies like airlines are nickeling and diming you to death and you think well, it's not fair to pay $35 to save my points, or $50 to access expanded inventory, or $35 for cancellation privileges? Come on, be realistic, and be flexible and quit complaining. Book a vacation and enjoy life you fancies!

We purchased a vacation timeshare from Bluegreen Vacations. We were to receive 12000 points every other year that could be used to take vacations. We paid the entire package off within 30 days of our purchase date. The package we purchased was $15900 plus a $350 processing fee. We like to take cruises so we stressed to the salesman the was the only reason for our purchase. She told us we could book a cabin for just 5000 points. She even brought the manager over to assure us.
After our purchase we tried to book a cruise but we couldn't find any cabins available to book. After some phone calls we found out that you can't pay by the cabin, it's by the person and 12000 points only equates to around $500 off? When we went to our orientation they told us if we bought an additional package we would be able to book a cruise every year for our family, so we purchase another $16000 package. When we got home and tried to book a cruise, once again nothing available and not enough points to cover a cruise for our family? We quickly decided we had been scaled again. I started going through our papers looking for a way out. We were able to refund the 2nd purchase because we had only had it a week, but we had had the 1st purchase for about 100 days and they said the cut off time was 90 days, even after they had lied to get me to purchase.
About 6 months after our purchase we received a maintenance bill for around $500? They told us we would get one a year and they didn't waste any time. We continued to try and book any kind of vacation since we were stuck with this thing and we paid for it in full, but have never been able to get anything. A year after our purchase we received a points expiring letter, informing us that our points would expire in 30 days if we didn't pay a $35 rollover fee? We said if we only get points ever 2 years why do they expire every year? No sooner did we pay the rollover fee did we get two maintenance bills? One for $800 and another almost $200??? This is 3 maintenance bills in one year, yes it's 2 different years 2016 and 2017, but still only a year from when we purchased our timeshare? We have still never even been able to book a vacation yet because nothing's available?
I called Bluegreen in disgust but they still refuse to refund my timeshare. I ask what would happen if I don't pay the maintenance fees and they said they would shut off our benefits and could take back our timeshare? How can they repossess something we paid off 100%? I ask if they could just stop giving us points since we can't book anything anyway and then stop sending us maintenance fees? What a deal for them, we have them over $17000 and we never got even one vacation of anything? But they said no. If we don't pay the fees they ruin our credit and repossess our timeshare? What a scam.
So what do I do, keep paying them every year for something I can use? I stop paying and let them repossess and ruin my credit for something we never got to use? What a scam. Then they tell you Pinnacle can sell your timeshare but they charge you $2000 and Bluegreen says no membership benefits of perks transfer to the new owners? Lol. Like they would be able to use the timeshare anyway? We would just be screwing someone just like they screwed us.

OK so I bought a package in 2014 that I was never able to go enjoy. Well I have been looking to go on vacation with my daughter. I do not have a lot of extra money so I looked into BookVIP. Had a little trouble but was nicely resolved. The problem is it was a little more than I really had to spend, so I told her I had purchased through Bluegreen vacation and would see if I could get it through them since I had already given them money.
Well I contacted them, gave them a $100 renewal fee, and she then very quickly gave me a list of hotels. I guess I wrote them down fast because I just cannot find out how in the world to tell what to do. She informed me I could pay more to stay at the time shares actual location, which to tell you the truth I did not have the money and bookVIP was actually going to keep me at the nicer resorts so I gave up that too. Not get any help to her to stay. I have no clue at all how to get a hotel and now after reading while I waited after reading reviews you stay at really crappy places.
I am really upset that I made this bad decision to go ahead and reactivate this account because they did not help me Reserve, find or even I have no clue I have a list of hotels that I have no clue how to look up. You can't go on their site and actually look up the actual hotels. I just don't know what to do and here I am if I have to pay a bunch of extra money. I don't have them. Only that I was told that I would have to pay $100 fee that would be returned back to me if the room is clean. If anyone knows what to do I don't have a clue what to do.
I really wish I could just get my hundred dollars back so if anybody knows if I can get a $100 reinstatement fee or whatever they call it back please let me know. Also I gave it at 3 because the lady was really nice. I just didn't realize how vague she was being till I you know I kept asking questions. But until I hung up the phone I did not realize how I've been befuddled again period. I really just need a hotel. A decent one.

While in a bass pro store I was stopped by a bluegreen rep telling me about the fabulous resorts bluegreen has and that if I was willing to sit in on a 1.5 hr presentation I can get three nights in one of the towns they have a resort plus $125.00 in bass pro givecards. I was not really interested but was swayed to sign-up for the locations being offered for the free stay (plus the 125 in BP giftcards). I selected Savannah GA for mid oct 2016. The hotel we stayed at was actually very nice, no complaints at all and was in the Savannah historical district. On the day of the presentation we attended the 1.5 hr meeting was more like 3 hr. I have worked for over 30+ years at topnotch companies that Bluegreen can blow away on their presentations. They do a great job even if you have 100% of no intent on purchasing a unit.
After about an hr of trying to convince me and me holding pat they told me about a "trial" package that I think was 9000 pts that would give me some time at their resorts where they were sure I would change my mind and then go for the actual "big" purchase. The price appeared to be good, I think it was a little over $700.00 with my thinking being that at worst case I would spend some time at a high quality resort for 4-7nights. Prior to going for this trial I asked about availability and was told that in the main season it might be tough to book a room but off season I should have no problem at most locations. This sold me since I would try the trial in the "off season" since I know there would be a slim to no chance of getting a room at a place like savannah, new orleans, etc.
A few days ago (2/10/17) I had my wife call to make reservations for their hershey (PA) location. She was told they are all booked up and really I need to make the reservation 5 months in advance. I was really upset and called again later that evening. I was told that that's spring break thus the reason why no rooms were available. Totally BS, told the lady there is no way Hershey PA is booked due to spring break. I was also told that I should have booked this months ago. I informed her I got the package end of october, and had to wait 30 days for it to be "activated" plus it expires 1 yr (nov 2017).
I asked for my money back saying that it appears Bluegreen was going to get my $$ anyway they could. I did not go for the "main" package but was stupid enough to get fooled by this "trial" package. After complaining for a few minutes about what a scam bluegreen is she "found" a room in hershey in April for me. I had to book it just so I don't lose out on 100% of my fee. I will try to see if I can book the remaining points some time by the expiration date of nov 2017 but don't hold out hope.
BOTTOM LINE IS PLEASE! PLEASE! Don't believe and DON'T TRUST Bluegreen, their salesmen are good, they seem like nice people, like somebody you would consider a friend. DON'T get fooled, THEY WILL scam you as they did me and I am sure many others. TOO LATE FOR ME, but please consider NOT buying in to Bluegreen, As a reference please review the many websites where BLUEGREEN owners voice their complaints. I should have paid attention to these websites. You have to ask yourself, WHY WOULD bluegreen owners have 100's of complaints on the various websites. BLUEGREEN at their meetings tells you how they are highly rated, how they run a class organization (I do agree on the presentation they are hard to beat). If this is true WHY SO MANY bluegreen "owners" are so unhappy with choosing Bluegreen. PLEASE - STAY AWAY FROM BLUEGREEN.

With a combined 50 years in the travel industry my wife and I were still... taken. The initial call with Blue Green Vacations offered a stay at a destination we had already planned to go and, at a price that was unbelievable. Unbelievable, so I asked two very pointed questions. Will we be staying at the resort - the answer was yes. How much time will we spend at the sales presentation - the answer was "about 2 hours". At a resort in Charleston for a song and my only obligation a 2 hours sales pitch... I'm good with this, so I paid. When we chose our dates, we called to reserve our stay. We were offered a motel 20 miles away from the resort and the Yelp reviews ranged from unkind to horrible (with a few exceptions).
I called immediately for a refund due to misrepresentation and... the "boiler plate" answers, comebacks and defense mechanisms flowed as expected. The phone call is scripted, "we are sure you were advised..." "We are so sorry but, you are out of your refund period"... and, of course... "However, we can offer you an upgrade". No two ways about it. This is a scam. A well-done scam where the representatives are professional, courteous and attentive but, a scam all the same. Buyer Beware.

Well, with Christmas just passed and other bills coming in, I didn't want to spend the money to commit over the phone AND I have heard of these types of things being scams.
I asked that everything be mailed to me to look over and then I would pay if I could at that time. She couldn't do that, so I was transferred to someone else that kept talking over me and kept sweetening the pot - I could even put my payment on file for them to bill later. I didn't bite, and she asked to speak to my husband who is at work... so she hung up on me. No "sorry this isn't going to work" or "thank you for your time". Very rude and a waste of time.

I received a call from a Bluegreen rep saying I had won a sweepstakes I entered at a local mall. The prize was a land vacation and a cruise. We went through all the details and it sounded great until the girl informed me that there was a "reservation fee" of $138 per person that needed to be paid immediately. I asked if I could call back after discussing with my husband and explained that we have a young daughter so I am not currently working and would need to consult with him first as he would be paying. She said I couldn't call back or I would be disqualified so I agreed to send him a text. I went to do so and accidentally ended the call.
The same girl called back right away and when I answered the phone I didn't say anything immediately because I heard her talking to someone else. She said, "How does this girl have a baby and no money?" speaking about me presumably to one of her scam artist coworkers. When I said "Hello?" her tone switched from ** teenager back to delightful salesperson to inform me we had been disconnected. I hung up without saying anything and will not be calling back.

OK, I'm puzzled to say the least. So my story starts at the Sunrise Mall. Long story, no story, my buddy and I entered a sweepstakes to win a car, didn't win the car. Anyway got a call like 6 months later, some guy telling me I won a vacation and a cruise but it would cost me $276. I was skeptical but was planning a Vegas trip anyway and needed somewhere within my budget to stay. So I bit, the best part is my buddy got to join me cause you can bring 2 guests. So basically they try to get you to buy a timeshare which is cool but we couldn't afford it lol, so we sat through this 2 hour pitch, cracked jokes the whole time then got handed a $200 Visa restaurant gift card thing and 2 Carnival Cruise voucher tickets. Basically I paid less than $140 for my wife and I and my buddy and his wife came and we just split the cost.
Cruise scheduled for March with the wife, can't wait! I don't know why everyone is so sensitive. We had a blast, yeah it's a sales pitch to try and sell you a timeshare, this is America and that's called marketing. I'm about to do this for all my vacations haha, 2 hours of my day for a dirt cheap Vegas trip and a Carnival Cruise, really can't be beat.

We became members in June of 2016. Won a thing, listen to the 2 hour (try 4) presentation, collect on your fabulous prizes worth hundreds of dollars. We felt we could try the lowest bundle: 6000 every other year. Just short of $10,000 invested now because at the "learn how to make your membership work for you orientation" we saw we could 'move up' to 6000 every year and be rewarded 4000 additional points. So now we are sitting pretty with 13,000 points for our first year. This should give us one awesome vacation at least, right? Treated like royalty, everything in the 'condos, villas, or town homes' beautifully maintained and perfect?
Not so much. First my husband started coughing up over $350 in fees associated with our free vouchers and gifts because of expiration extension and costs to activate. We now have this $5000 debt hanging over us that we put on the Bluegreen credit card that had 0% interest for 6 mos. AND we just paid our 1st year's maintenance fees and it hasn't even been a year yet. The first 6 months was free. The maintenance and resort fees cost was never clear until signing the papers; and the points earned on the card was going to take care of them. Over the holidays we traveled to Missouri to enjoy our fabulous amenities that we have already invested almost $15000 to enjoy.
The experience was horrible. A very badly maintained basement 1 bedroom was assigned: it stunk, wasn't cleaned properly, pipes screeched when taking a shower, toilet flushed poorly, busted door, AND the communication between the Bluegreen portion and the actual Big Cedar resort was poor. First day my husband went on a two hour trip for milk, was redirected 3 times and we still had to leave the resort to go get the milk! We felt like 3rd class citizens at the place that obviously didn't honor the partnership with Bluegreen in the luxurious way that it advertises. If a class action suit is ever brought against this company, I would totally join.

Then when I was over the phone the reservation office told me it was over 200 per person. Then I tried to get my money back and I couldn't because he made me buy a giftcard that I threw away because he told me it was empty. I then called in December to make reservations for either Feb or May dates. Was told by Carlos I would receive a response in 24-48 hours. NO REPLY. Called again a week later submitting the same request for dates in Feb or May. Was told by Shanice I would get a reply. Was even provided her phone number. NO REPLY. Called her after a week, due to the holidays. Left a voice message. NO REPLY!
Called a 3rd time requesting the same dates, spoke with Shelove (?) explained this was the 3rd time. She checked and then informed me none of the 5 individual weeks I requested were available. I then said "I want a refund." Shelove then transfers me to Sadia who has nothing to do with refunds, and she then transfers me to Zack.
In the end Zack tells me there is no availability but that I am put on a waitlist with the Tradewinds, where I have been requesting to stay. I asked who he spoke with at the Tradewinds and the number he called. HE LIED ON WHO HE SPOKE WITH. HE SPOKE WITH THE BLUEGREEN WELCOME CENTER, NOT DIRECTLY WITH TRADEWINDS! I received a call from one of their representatives a week before Thanksgiving and she explained that I had the opportunity to receive a fantastic vacation package because I had opened a member account with Choice Hotels and stayed in one for work the previous month. I successfully made it through the vetting process (I made over a certain amount annually so that was one point to prove my credibility of being able to follow through with payment of the package) and put a deposit down to save the offer. I did not choose a destination because of work restraints, but it was ensured that I could choose to do so at any time throughout the next year before it expired, very flexible.
Fast forward a couple of weeks, and I checked this website for reviews of their own credibility. A few people have very positive reviews, while many gave not so positive reviews thinking it was a scam and that they received terrible service while backing out or staying at their destination. I'm here to say that I did back out within the 30 day window (today) and received very courteous service while doing so. It took all of 12 whole minutes and three representatives to get my refund of $279.00 back.
I have nothing negative to say about my experience. I wish I could participate, but my work schedule for the next year is very unpredictable and I am unable to follow through with a vacation like this, even if it is only a couple hundred dollars. They even offered to extend the deadline by a year, which was nice, but my mind was already made up. I'm here to say that I had a pleasant experience and to treat those on the other side of the phone with respect, and maybe it won't seem like as much of a fight if you're asking for a refund, because there seems to be a lot of reviews like that that jump to a conclusion and say it's a scam or they get their credit card company involved.

My mother has had a Bluegreen timeshare for years. Last year after the birth of my daughter, she convinced me to sign up so I could use her points to take family vacations. I point blank asked my mom and the woman in charge of the paperwork if I would be financially responsible for anything, they both said no. A year later my mother unfortunately passed away due to an aggressive form of cancer. I received a notice in the mail that I am being sent to collections for an unpaid mortgage. My mother also received this notice. When I called the company to inquire, I was informed that I actually signed a contract to be considered an owner. An unbreakable contract for the next ten years. I was not informed of any of this at the time of the contract. There is no way to transfer the properties or sell it unless it is paid up to date.
Unfortunately I simply do not make enough money to pay this. If I did, I would get it up to date and sell it. The company has been very unhelpful and unsympathetic, especially their mortgage solutions rep named Theresa. I have contacted my mother's attorney and am currently in the process of figuring out what to do before this ruins my credit forever. What was supposed to be a gift turned out to be a giant curse.

Only way to get any perks is to spend part of your vacation sitting in a meeting (stressing about money) they always try to sell you more points instead of answering questions you may have (so they give you a ride to more debt and frustration!

When it came out that my annual income is less than $50,000, he told me that I was disqualified. Obviously, what that representative was looking for was to sell me a stay at one of his hotels and a cruise trip, and there was never any intention of him to give me a prize. I was sold a 3day/2night vacation by them for $149, which a $50 Visa gift card was given to me right away in order to win me over for the $149 purchase. First off my travel dates were confirmed for the wrong dates. I had to end up taking off work a day earlier, which I wasn't scheduled, nor prepared for in order to make check-in time for this trip. This was the first red flag.
Long story short, I finally take the trip to Myrtle Beach for my 3/2 night stay, in which I have to attend a presentation by them on Saturday morning. So arrive Thursday (wrong day). I stop at BG to pick up my information for where I will be staying, which ended up being Ocean Creek Resort. Why they call it a resort I have no idea!!! So I assume I'm staying in the towers which seem to look decent. But then I find out I will be a "condo" on the property. Second red flag. So when I finally find the "condo" and open the door I was so disappointed!! It smelled like an old house that had been locked up for 20 years! Then, the whole inside looked like the set of 'Three's Company!!!' Nothing looked up to date!! Third red flag.
Used the bathroom, went to flush and it stopped up on me!! Although there were two toilets, the other one was skeptical as well. Called the office and he moved me to another room, but I had to go get the new key. So I gather my stuff and back to the car. Drive. Got new key. Come to new room. Key doesn't work, but the lights were on in the room??? Drive back to the office. He gives me another key. Drive back up. Go to new room. Now this one is 'Three's Company' 2.0. Went from mid 70's to early 80's. Still disappointed. By this time it's about 9 p.m. so I tell my Daughter we will just stay the night.
So I called BG in the morning and asked them did they have any other places they could move me to. They said being that I was moved to another room, I should be good. And that there were no availabilities. Like I told them bad plumbing is something throughout the whole building, not just in the one room. Sure enough the next room toilets weren't any better. Another red flag.
Being that we drove 3.5 hours to the Beach it made no sense to turn around. So in the morning I get up and make reservations at Wayfarer in Myrtle Beach right at the beach. Because Ocean Creek was 20 minutes from the beach and activities. And it turns out they also do timeshares themselves. The rooms were much better. They were updated and overlooking the Beach. I would pick a timeshare here before Bluegreen!!!
So that was MY TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH BLUEGREEN VACATIONS!! I see they have are reset right down the street that isn't booked. Smh. They want to put you in the terrible ones instead of the nice ones. How are you going to see me on something with that logic?? So basically, nothing was free! Lol. I ended up paying for a vacation anyway!!!

We purchased a Bluegreen vacation package in September, I bought it because of the hotel discounts with Choice Hotels they promised. First initial group sale the man said if you're a Choice member you don't pay for hotels. Then when we Sat at the table we found that's if you use your points but it's 50% off hotels and I still get my Choice privileges points, and the manager at the table said "we say at least 50% off so when you get more than that you're even happier". Like I said I bought because of this fact, the savings on hotel alone for myself would pay for this package since I spend around $10000 a year in hotel costs, $5000 in savings. This was a no-brainer.
In s.c. you have 5 days to rescind but 30-45 days before our membership was active to use we obviously couldn't cancel. When I tried use my 'benefit' I found that not only it wasn't 50% off but no discount at all. After several calls and various explanations I'm told it's only 10% off not 50% so I called the hotel directly to get room rates giving them no membership of any kind and wouldn't you know it, the same exact rate as "my discount".
After another call to them I had this robot Lamar keep repeating "it's a 10% discount sir" as I'm talking to him explaining there was none. So then I was told that I need to call Choice Hotel and tell them I'm an owner to get discount which I did the first time so I talked to Choice Hotel's member service to where they told me... get this... there is no discount on hotels with them for owning Bluegreen. Needless to say I've been lied to and scammed and I am getting an attorney and maybe more of you on this site complaining will do the same. I'm also contacting the attorney general in s.c. to report deceitful sales practices this company perpetuates.

Where do I begin? First, the initial cost DOES NOT cover the 3 day/2 night stay as there are taxes and "fees" involved, the amounts of which they do not tell you until AFTER you confirm your stay. Second, when I called to get information, I got an email two days later "confirming my stay" that I never made. Third, when I called to question this, "Tiffany" was very deceptive and would not answer any question of substance, including what city I even be staying in! She transferred me to "Michael" who was condescending and also non-helpful.
I cannot believe any place of repute would demand a confirmation commitment and then want me to CALL THEM BACK 14 days before my arrival date to find out where I would be staying. The only piece of solid information I got from Michael was that for my 3/2 stay, it would definitely NOT be at any of their properties or hotels that they have photos of on the website. Rather, my wife and I would be staying at a "contracted partner lodging location within a 20 minute drive of the presentation center". RED LIGHT!
I then started investigating. I am FAR from the only person with a bad experience with these jackals. Bad properties, bad amenities, and bad service are just the tip of the iceberg of printed complaints. When I asked for my money back, I was told I was "outside the time constraints" to ask for a refund. If they refuse to refund my money, the least I am going to do is post my experience on every review site I can find to help others from being ripped off. Shame on you, Bluegreen. I hope you sleep well knowing that you screw people whenever you can. DO NOT go here for your vacation time planning. You will have a better time and get more value from a reputable hotel chain.

Yesterday, I received a call from Bluegreen Corp. informing me I won a 4day/3night stay at a resort and a 4day/3night cruise. They informed me I only had to pay for transportation, taxes, and the port fees for the cruise. They said if we decided to fly, just call and we can receive a corporate discount on tickets. I only had to pay the $149 each for my husband and I.
To make a long story short, I ended up paying $276, of which $200 will be given back after the presentation in the form of a gift card that can be used at over 16,000 restaurants. They also gave me an extra 3day/2night vacation stay that had to be used within a year after the presentation date. My cruise was also upgraded to a 6day/5night cruise. Truthfully, I was excited because I received 3 vacations for $76. Later that day, I checked my email for my confirmation receipt. The information regarding the cruise and extra vacation was a little skeptical to me so I decided to research the company which brought me to this site.
After reading a lot of the reviews, I was extremely disgusted and saddening by the professionalism (or lack of) of this company. From the reviews and the bad feeling I received after reading my confirmation email, I knew this was a company I did not want to give one penny to or take chances with. I did what my husband would do and that was called my bank (Capital One Bank) and ask to have the transaction reversed. The representative Tina with Capital One was so pleasant. She called Bluegreen and conferenced the call and told them that I was on the line and requesting a full refund.
Bluegreen said she cannot stay on the line, but I told him she is given permission and told her not hang up and she didn't. She stayed on the phone with me the entire time and lead the conversation. They transferred us four times before the transaction was actually refund. I was told that I was within the 30 day period and was able to receive a refund but I know based on the reviews and what was told to me by them, they do not give refunds. I know if my bank was not involved (on their own recorded line) I most likely would not have received a refund.
MY ADVICE: Any disputes with Bluegreen or any other unprofessional company who do not care about people only their money, do not handle it on your own. Call your bank, an attorney, or someone in authority that can speak on your behalf. That way, they know you mean business and aware of their scams. Do not dance with the devil. Act immediately. Even if you are in too deep, you have to cut your ties eventually so get help as soon as possible. Also, this is an technology age so use it to your advantage. Research all companies and individual before doing business with them. I hope this review helps someone as others did for me. God Bless.

I was a guest of my sister's Bluegreen Vacation to Las Vegas. I knew that this was a timeshare presentation and was interested in the program. Boy, was I fooled. I think that this Bluegreen Vacation was a joke. Why would I want to spend time and money on a place as pitiful as this? During my stay, I asked other investors their opinion of this property. Everyone told me it was very nice. Well if this place is very nice I would hate to see a bad one. NOT ONE AMENITY. Guest service closes a 5 pm. No restaurant, no gambling, no bar, no internet service, no airport service. Their Las Vegas shuttle is a "DROP OFF" only service. Their response..."Call an Uber".
So basically I am suppose to spend my first day of vacation going grocery shopping to be able to have coffee in the morning and any snack after returning to the room. Don't waste your money on this investment. This was not a vacation. To not even have an airport service is very sad. To tell your guests "owners" to call an Uber is truly sad. The property is surrounded by 2 blocks of vacant land which is littered with the homeless street people. A great place for your "OWNERS" to stay. All Bluegreen wants is your money. They don't care about you. Why is the Bluegreen representative showing my sister and I a 4 bedroom master suite when there are only 2 of us? (We told sales this.)
If they were truly concerned about their owners, and not just a high pressure sales group, they would let me buy after thinking about the program. They are a Today Only sales group. Even a car dealer will take your money if you called them tomorrow. Not Bluegreen. I was told this is a one time only offer. I will not be eligible after today. As far as I'm concerned, Bluegreen "Resorts" is nothing but a bunch of crap. If you invest with this company you are a fool. Why own something that you cannot be proud of and use when you want. Remember bring your own coffee because they aren't going to provide or even offer you a cup upon your stay or even when trying to sell you this place.

Now my credit score has dropped from 830 to 600. Thank God I do not need a loan pretty soon. Bluegreen is a fraudulent company.

I ordered the packaged before I alone with my credit card only. Later a friend was staying with me on the weekends. I asked the Conway, AK office if he could go. They told me I needed proof of his occupancy, that we needed a bank account together which I could not provide. I called later and they added his name to my account. They said they couldn't take his name off nor could I go without him and I couldn't take my two grandchildren either. They also said l could give my package away and see if I could go under someone name that I give it too. I plan to send them a notarized letter from my friend who no long comes over. He has his own place and we don't see each other anymore. The resort refused to remove him from my package. Through Bass Pro in Memphis, TN.

I hope I have the attention of everyone involved in Bluegreen vacations timeshare. If I don't, please forward to whomever I left off; maybe the owner?? I have made a lot of mistakes in my life but never one this bad. My husband and I were so oblivious to this deal, due to the cut throat, money hungry people that sold us a timeshare. I will never understand how you people can actually LIE and get by with it. All I wanted was ONE week at the beach in the summer each year and was told just how easy it would be over and over. I even told them the exact dates I wanted b/c we always go for my son's birthday, the last week in July. What a LIE. I tried to schedule my ONE week at the beach several times starting in February and it never worked out.
There was always some excuse of the day/week, the number of people, no availability, or some other ridiculous reason why I would have to wait a year before I could use my timeshare on the week I requested upfront, nonetheless, unless I wanted to go in December or January and that was still not written in stone. I am so relieved to be out of this mess but you can best believe I have nothing good to say about BLUEGREEN. I would never give anyone your business. This ended up costing my husband and I a lot of money upfront to get in and then lawyer fees to get out.
I don't know what kind of business you are running but I would love to stand outside and tell anyone coming in to run for their lives. You have really put a bad taste in my mouth and I hope I never hear the word BLUEGREEN again as long as I live. One unhappy, furious, cheated, lied to customer. I'm sure there are so many more that feel the same way. Thanks for the debt you caused my family by LYING to innocent customers who believed you were trying to help us with a way to travel.

I am shopping in Walmart and there is travel representative from Bluegreen soliciting shoppers to purchase vacation packages. I agree to listen to the presentation. The presentation was very well put together. She got around to asking questions about my income and marital status. I told her that I was currently separated and that if I decided to purchase this package, my husband would not be traveling with me. She said, that's no problem. I proceeded to sign the contract and pay $149.00 for this 3 night package and receive a free cruise for 2 if I attended a 90 minute presentation.
So, I finally book my trip and I call to confirm my dates. The representative starts going over the qualifications for the trip after they have taken my money. She asks me if I'm married. I told her that I am separated, the same thing I told the lady in Walmart that sold me the package. She asks, "will your husband be traveling." I told her no. Then she asked "will your divorce be final by October 21st, which is only 16 days away." I told her no.
So, then she tells me that I no longer qualify for the trip and asks if I have any married friends that would like to go in my place. I tell her no, I only want a refund. Granted they gave me a $50.00 Visa gift card just for signing up, so I was only asking for the $99.00 back. She then puts a manager on the phone who basically is saying the same thing. So, now I am out of $99.00 and I have to tell my children that we are not going to the beach. I am extremely angry and I do not recommend anyone to book a vacation through Bluegreen. They are FRAUDS!!!

When Bluegreen called me to sell me a package, I wrote down everything they said on the phone because you know it is a lot of info. Almost everything they told me was not true. I was told the hotel stay I would receive after the meeting could be booked just a couple of weeks ahead of the time I wanted and that it was good 365 days a year. When I got the paperwork after the meeting it said you had to book your vacation 60 days ahead and could not book on holidays or 7 days prior or after holidays, and you had to give them 3 different dates that you could come. I was originally told the extra hotel fees were $6/day. This paperwork says fees were $18-25/day.
I was told I would get $200 debit card after the meeting. I did not get a $200 debit card but a $200 dining card that you had to go online and sign up for, and then it was only good at a few locally owned restaurants that I never heard of, and I lived in this town all my life. Most were Mexican or Oriental. When you went online to sign up you had to "join" this site and then the gift certificate (not card) had to be downloaded for the specific restaurant you were going to, and if you got a $10 gift certificate you had to spend $20 in order to use it. And the certificate was only good for several days.
I was supposed to get back $80 from the $276 I gave them at the beginning within 7-14 days. It took 4 months and me calling them back several times before the refund finally went through. Almost everything they told me was not true and when I called them and wanted to send back the gift cards and the extra vacation they gave me, which was part of the original agreement, and cancel everything, and have them refund the balance back to me they said, "No," they could not do that. I have dealt with Diamond Resorts before and had absolutely no problem with them. Everything they said went perfectly. However, I will never deal with Bluegreen again. Be very cautious if you do.

My husband purchased a package to go attend a presentation in New Orleans, LA. When he bought the package, he was told that we would be staying in the French Quarter - within walking distance of many amenities including the presentation. On September 5th, he received a confirmation call where the representative said we'd be at the St. James hotel in New Orleans near the French Quarter and again went on and on about the wonderful things that are within walking distance, what was close by and that it was within walking distance of the presentation. During the call, he said we needed to make changes by the 13th of September to avoid any additional fees. We were set to leave on September 20th and on the 17th we received the final confirmation e-mail with us at...get this...the Holiday Inn in Gretna, LA...across the river and a 15 minute cab ride to the French Quarter.
We called the ph# to discuss this and they said there was nothing they could do. My husband just so happens to record all of his calls for work and sure enough, we played it back and confirmed what we had been told by 2 different people on 2 different occasions. How is it that they can just make changes without giving you advance notice or options and they don't even give you the 7 day courtesy period to make changes? I called them back after we replayed the calls and the representative told us, again, there was nothing they could do, there were no more rooms at the St. James Hotel and they offered to give us a $50 visa card...this was not going to cut it. In the meantime, I looked up the hotel and there WERE rooms available for $98 a night...just not at the Bluegreen rate. I asked to speak to a manager and went through the story again. She said she would see what she could do.
She found a room at the resort which was in the French Quarter (better) but she'd need to charge us $150 on top of that to make the change. Already we didn't have the warm-fuzzies about this company so I was not about the invest another $150 in accommodations that were already less than desirable and we hadn't even arrived there yet! In the end, we settled for paying a $50 cancel/change fee to be able to stay at the resort. Needless to say after this fiasco, we were not about to spend the $$ to buy anything else from the company. When we got there, we had to pay $35 plus tax a night for overnight parking, there was no breakfast, and the rooms were not cleaned every day. There was no pool or gym, the walls are paper thin (we could hear every word of our drunken neighbors at 3 am every morning), and we had a lovely view of an alleyway where the local cabs parked while waiting on fares.
By the way...they honked and argued with each other like clockwork at 6 am. There were a few nice things...the front desk staff was very friendly and there were no hassles. I would never agree to go to a presentation for Bluegreen again and am pretty put off from any future presentations from other companies. I certainly would not put any money upfront for another one of these.
