    Contacted TriEagle to provide service to my new condo in Houston, TX. I spoke with a representative on Thursday afternoon and the power was supposed to be activated the next day (Friday). The same day I had contractors resurface the hardwood flooring in my new condo ($4000) and the floors were supposed to dry on Friday and through the weekend and we were going to move in on Monday. Saturday morning when I opened the door and reached in to turn a light on to check and make sure that the heat was on I noticed that there was NO power to the condo. I called TriEagle at 830am, it turns out that they had made a mistake on the condo # and subsequently there was no order placed to turn the power on.

    When I explained the situation to the representative all I was told was that they were sorry for the mistake, I asked to speak with a manager and was told that there was nobody available to speak to me and that they would have someone call me back as soon as they could. They told me that there was nothing that could be done and that they wouldn't be able to turn the power on until Monday, possibly Tuesday. 6 hours later that day, still no call back from TriEagle so I called again and was again told that there was no manager available to speak with me and nothing they could do.

    I hung up and called TXU Energy, spoke with a rep and had power turned on to the condo within 2 hrs. I never did get a call back from TriEagle. ABSOLUTE PISS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! There are a lot of energy providers to choose from, I have no idea how a company like this is able to survive in this market with that level of customer service.

    They will NOT answer emails...EVER! Have sent multiple emails and zero response. Their website is a **. Wouldn't take my payment. I really screwed up signing up with these 'you know whats'. WILL NEVER AGAIN and will bail as soon as I find something better. Avoid this so called company.

    I was trying to save money by changing over to TriWagle. However, their sales group does apparently not talk to the billing/accounting department or anyone else for that matter. I changed over from Gexa trying to save money and I was sold on savings so I changed. However, this change with discounts did not get communicated to other departments and I ended up spending around $2000 for 1 (one) month. This is absolutely the worst energy company I have ever worked with. When I called back to cancel it was the 33rd day not the 30th day so they charged me a $350 cancellation fee. On top of that they cut my power, not per request, and are currently trying to charge me another $350 for a 2nd cancellation fee as I had to have them turn the power back on because my wife and I work from home. So all and all this is by far the WORST energy provider I have ever worked with.

    I would stay away from them at all costs. I am now going to have to pay additional, unless they are reasonable as I was threatened with my credit being hurt by not paying the 2nd early termination fee and it has been less than 60 days. Maybe this company is better to others but my gosh stay away. I have spent more than $2,000 from 8/4 to 9/18 in energy....absolutely the worst.

    The ONLY problem I have with TriEagle Energy is their inability to Mail me my monthly account statements. I do NOT pay my bills online!! I am 68 years old and I’m NOT real tech savvy, plus I have a very poor internet server and believe me I’ve tried them all. Y’all cut my power off once for non-payment of my accounts but I NEVER RECEIVED MY STATEMENTS in the mail? So now I just send a random amount of money each month so my power won’t be cut off. If y’all could fix my billing problem I would give TriEagle Energy a five star rating, but as of now, I’ll have to just give a 1 1/2 - 2 stars. But if a supervisor would like to call me at the above number I’d be tickled to death to talk to someone about it. Thanks.

    Last year my rate went from .07 to .11. I called in February and you said I renewed in Dec. I talked to a Supervisor and told him, I didn't renew that myself. He said it was renewed by a third party and I didn't think so. He said that all are taped and I said that I wanted it sent to me or played to me because I didn't think I agreed to such an increase. He never followed through and I have almost frozen trying to not use electricity. I have been with this company many years, but I will not be renewing with you again.     Updated on 10/07/2020: I have been with Trieagle Energy for several years. I accepted a plan in which I would pay a fixed rate of $188.83 for 12 months, I agreed to the plan and each month my bill was $188.83, until the bill I received for 09/02/2020 until 10/02/2020 of $521.62. I was shocked. I called Trieagle and asked why were I charged $521.62, when the agreement was I would received a bill for $188.83 per month for 12 months. The customer service member told me I owed for higher kilowatts. I told him that was not the agreement and I would like a copy of my agreement but he only email me copies of my bills.

    Original Review: I had been with Trieagle for a few years with no problems, but earlier this year I was offered a plan in which I would pay a set amount every month ( $188.83). I was paying this amount until I received this months bill which stated my payment amount would be $521.62. I almost fell to the floor, not only did Trieagle not lived up to their agreement, but expect me to pay $512.62, which I do not have. They did not live up to their agreement. And I am very disappointed.

    Was trying to get some info on your smart T stats before I renewed (which never came) then I see my rate is now 50% higher and frankly I can't see myself waiting to hear back any longer.     Talked to customer service a few times. Found out when my one year contract was over. Waited over a month after it was up. Paid bailout of contract. Switched to Amigo. Final bill was charged 350 early termination. Crooked company. The state needs to step in. Close them down. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I read my contracts. I ask questions and I double check. If they dont give me my refund I will find an attorney and start a class action lawsuit.

    I have been a customer for nearly 6 years, but will be cancelling my service after my most recent experience with their renewal efforts. Every year I have consistently received communication that my contract would expire, is about to expire, and then is expired with ample notification. This last year I did not receive the same level of communication and my contract went un-renewed. I had to find this for myself after realizing my rates weren't adding up and instead I was being charged 1.6x my usual rate. I normally would recommend the company to others, but I feel I have been taken advantage of.     I personally have gone through a nightmare with TriEagle. I'm relocated and they changed my account number and I have made payments and they don't know where they're at. They have threatened to disconnect my service for $32 even though it's already been paid. I am a senior citizen. I have agencies who have assisted in my payments and or made pledges but trieagle is not sharp enough to understand this and to understand that there was two account numbers and they're responsible for all this chaos with my accounts. They cannot figure out the monetary payments and pledges. All they do is threaten to disconnect the service I have gone through abuse by a supervisor name Delano who works in Connecticut.

    The two women that I had previously talked to recognize there was problems on my account because of the two account numbers. They apologized and said she would put a ticket in to get it rectified. Evidently it has not been rectified. Also one Christian agency called them and verified with them that a payment was made and this man named Delano was really disrespectful and said he didn't see any of these payments. It has been a nightmare. I give them a zero.

    I've had TriEagle at home for at least five years now. We have a few outages that I’m dealing with the carrier, Oncor. Their prices are going higher and higher. My electricity bill in 2017 was 2,600, in 2016 it was 2,600, in 2018 was 3,000 for a whole year. This year, so far, the estimates based on the whole list, it will be 3,600. I have three more months to pay, and I made some estimates or projections based on the previous eight months and I will be paying 5,600. The graph is just going up higher and higher. I wish the price remains lower.

    Everything seems to be going well with TriEagle at our residence. When I renewed last time, I renewed for two years -- that was how much I enjoy it. I've used Cirro and another provider in the past, and it seemed like my energy is a little low too since I've joined TriEagle. The highest I ever had in my monthly bill since I’ve been with them has been 150. Whereas, with the other ones, I’ve seen 160 and 165. I do everything through the computer.     TriEagle was great at first and I've been with them for a couple of years. Then it started kinda going downhill. The price of the energy was going up. I couldn't get anybody to tell me why so that I could understand and accept. They said it was because of the energy provider and told me to call Oncor. It just left me with the impression that it wasn't TriEagle's fault. Well, I'm paying the bill and that's not much of an answer. I want some kind of explanation about what's going on and I didn't get much resolution so I switched over to another provider.

    This is my second contract with TriEagle. The first 14 months were great. Then in December 2018 they decided to send out Ebills. Sorry I don't pay by Ebill, I still write checks. Then the hassle started. It takes them 15 days to send a bill and pay within 7 days and it takes them 12 days to post it. In fact they generated 2 letters to terminate service on the same day they posted my check and charged me a late fee even though the check was mailed 7 days before the due date.

    I live in the state of California and have a rental property in Pflugerville, Texas. The property has been vacant for months. I recently received a bill for $107.55, how is that possible? I also called to cancel services today because I have new tenants as of Saturday, 7/27/19. When I called to cancel, I was informed that I needed to pay over $300.00 for cancelling my contract. I was never informed or agreed to any type of contract, especially because I knew the home would be vacant temporarily. When I spoke to the agent back in November of 2018, I told him specifically that I lived out of state and needed temporary services. The agent never mentioned anything about a 3 year contract. I spoke to the supervisor today and he said he needed to listen to the recording prior to making a decision regarding the cancellation fee.

    I am asking for 2 things:
    1. A thorough review of my June 20, 2019 - July 22, 2019 statement because the amount being charged is unrealistic. The kWh usage for that past six months was under 200. In May it jumped to over 200 and in July it spiked to almost 1,000 kWh! How is that possible?

    2. The cancellation fee should be waived because I never agreed to a 3 year contract.

    A friend of mine was using TriEagle Energy and I gave them a try. At one time, I had six properties with them and I would not recommend them for property management or a landlord. Signing up with them was super difficult. It would be okay for a homeowner with one property, but I have multiple properties and have to go through the long, drawn-out, frustrating process and create a new account every time. I also had to go through a soft credit check for deposit.

    I was normally on the phone for about 30 minutes just trying to get the service turned on for a rental house. They were cheap though, so I stayed with them for a while, but it was too much of a headache. Plus, they never had anybody that spoke good English, which was another huge annoyance. Communication was poor as well and a lot of the issues I had was due to their reps' lack of English skills. They cancelled accounts that I didn’t tell them to cancel and when I tried to turn on new ones, they turned them on at the wrong addresses. They also messed up my billing so I ended up cancelling them and switched everything to somebody else.

    When I moved to Denison, I looked through the gazillion plans online that were available in Texas. And TriEagle was the one that best fit my need and the most cost-effective. All of my interactions with them had been online, except when I called to discontinue my service. I knew that my contract didn’t expire ’til July 14th and that I would probably be charged the 20 bucks. But the person who waited on me was talking too fast and I literally told her about that, and she was talking over me. Other than that, I had no complaints with the company or with my service. TriEagle was a little less expensive than the energy company I had before. Also, I lived in an apartment, so I never had any service issues or outages.     When I was searching for an electricity provider, TriEagle Energy had the cheapest price. I went with them and thus far, my experience with them has been okay. They have a good online automated system and it gets the job done. However, it's a bit lacking in its user-friendliness for a few things. It can do a little better in showing people how to do a recurring payment. While it's possible to do it, and I do it right now, the presentation of the user interface is too convoluted. It's not clear how to get to that feature.

    Also, the area where I manage my accounts needs a bit more contrast. There needs to be a lot more difference in the spots that matter, like buttons or something than the rest of the page. Plus, there's also a very bad contrast between the black text and the blue background. Nevertheless, lights have never been cut off. There are other energy providers that do more but then TriEagle is more simplified. They just have a set of choices for me to make regarding how much I'm willing to pay for how long I'm willing to hold a contract. They trade off all those features and deals for relatively lower prices for power. Overall, their service has been okay.

    I have a small home and I’m always penalized for having under 1,000 watts. With TriEagle, I know I just pay that one $5 or $5.95 and whatever I’ve negotiated for the rest of the cost with no surprises. I've had the service for some time and I've only had one major problem with them. I lost my home in Harvey, and then I had this transferred to my apartment and then back to my home. They sent me a bill for $200 early termination fee saying they didn’t believe I had really moved back to my home, which I thought was rather obnoxious. I had to go to the Better Business Bureau and a bunch of stuff before I got it resolved. Despite that issue, I contact TriEagle when my renewal is almost up. Even so, it would be nice if one has been a customer for several years, they would give a little discount.

    TriEagle Energy seems fairly flexible and their service is fairly good. They're usually fairly quick to fix if their electricity is down so that’s been good. I haven’t had too many problems with outages. They've been pretty consistent and I’ve been pretty happy with them. However, one thing that bothered me the most is that whole bait-and-switch. You get the rate that’s really good, and then, when it re-ups, it’s almost 3 cents more per kilowatt. I’ve been on the upper range of that for the last two contracts. I’m supposed to re-up now and I haven’t decided if I'm going to re-up yet.

    My interactions with the TriEagle reps was fairly good and the professionalism of the ones I talked to had been okay. Their expertise and knowledge were above-average. But I was amazed with how slow and long it took them to get my checks processed. I mailed the check a week ago, and it still hadn’t cleared as of last night.

    I also get calls, emails, and messages that they would gonna cut off our service if we don’t make the payments. But then I called and talked to the nice people there and they would say that I got till the end of the month. They didn’t seem to have the same urgency as the emails and text messages I get from them. In the emails and whatever I was getting, they were all running around like their hair was on fire and those were downright disturbing. I understand that I would get those emails if I’m past due.     I called TriEagle to inquire about new residential services for the home I moved into on Feb. 22nd. I originally reached out to them the 1st time on Feb. 18th so that my service could be connected by the 22nd with no problem and not having to rush and wait until the last minute. I was asked after a credit check to put a security deposit down, but on their website it states AD Military can have their security deposit waived. So after asking the Customer Service Representative about it and her having to put me on hold 2 times to ask about it and confirm with her supervisor, they told me to send a copy of my military ID to their Customer Care email and if all was well after they reviewed the email with my military ID no one would be in contact and my services would be up and running on the 22nd (my move in day to the home I am renting).

    But that if something were wrong or they couldn’t verify my email with my military ID someone would be in contact with me within 3 business days. That was on the 18th, so move in day gets here and it’s the 22nd of Feb and I never heard anything from anyone so I was thinking my services had started and switched from the homeowner to myself and I would receive my monthly bill in the mail after a few weeks...WRONG! So now Friday, March 1st rolls around and it’s been 2 weeks in my new home and I want to see my weekly usage that TriEagle offers to kind of gauge where my electric bill stands since I’ve moved into a bigger home than I had previously. I try to log in and set up an account to view my usage and it won’t let me.

    I call customer service and guess what? They tell me that the picture of my military ID that was attached to the email I sent them was too small and I needed to resend it, but wait? I never got a call from them telling me I needed to resend it. I never got ANY communication from them, so here I am 2 weeks that I’ve thought my service was in my name and running without an issue and I HAVE NEVER EVEN BEEN SET UP and no one has called or emailed to let me know so that I could get it taken care of and emailed again prior to the 22nd when I needed the services on. IT GETS BETTER...so RIGHT THEN I sent another email with a new and bigger picture of my military ID and I received an email saying someone would get back to me within 3 business days.

    That was March 1st and today is the end of the 6th, that’s been 3 business days and STILL no contact from ANYONE! So now is 2 weeks that I’ve been living in my new home and not received any kind of service from TriEagle when I originally contacted them Feb. 18th, almost a month ago, to have new residential services started. I am using the electric and it’s still under the homeowner’s name!!! For me to have researched prices and chosen TriEagle as a new customer and new service, I cannot believe the way they have handled this situation.

    Not only that, but on their website they act like they appreciate military members and offer them the deposit waiver but leave them stranded without power or any communication when I have done everything on my end that was asked of me to do. I have never been so appalled by a customer service experience in my life and will be filing a complaint with the BBB and trying to contact their headquarters and continuing to reach out to whoever will listen because this is just the most ridiculous and inexcusable way to conduct a business, especially for military member and new customers.

    So I have money and I pay my bills, yada, yada. But I screwed up when I signed up for autopay and typed a number wrong. They didn't advise me I provided an invalid account number, but instead issued a disconnect notice all the sudden and charged me $30 for providing an invalid bank account. I emailed to inquire and their customer service returns a very smug response about how auto pay works when you enter the numbers incorrectly.

    More than a year later my bank issued me a new debit card after they suspected possible fraud on it. I forgot that my TriEagle autopay was set up on my debit card. I of course got a disconnect notice 3 days after my bill was due and it didn't go through on the old card. It's not like they sent me an email stating they couldn't charge my card. Instead they try to embarrass me with a disconnect notice. That's what an on-time paying customer of 5 years gets. They are just unprofessional and not customer friendly at all. They are cheap but I do not recommend them.

    I was shopping around on the internet, and then the number that I called, which I thought was another company, ended up being TriEagle. Then the lady rep started explaining the rates. I never heard of TriEagle but I went ahead and tried them anyway. I was always used to Reliant and TXU over here in Texas, and how they charged me for the delivery fee and fuel fee. And sometimes, with Reliant, it would range generally anywhere from $50 to over $100, depending on the usage or non-usage.

    When I was trying to renew, I did consider leaving. I was calling and then again, shopping around. And the rates were competitive with other companies. But I stayed with TriEagle because I know about the fuel and the delivery charge. With TriEagle, it’s constant, which is $6 to $7, so I didn’t wanna find out otherwise. From other companies, it was a little different. But when I was trying to get the contract renewed, I had a hard time finding somebody that could help me. But other than that, I've had a good experience with TriEagle and I've saved a lot. TriEagle has good service and I'd recommend them. A lot of my family are using them now.

    TriEagle is the absolute worst energy company I have ever dealt with! Let’s starts with my 3 year contract I was talked into! The sales guy told me that everyone is just oh so happy with the plan he gave me... well he lied! I have been disappointed from the start. My monthly bill is way more than expected and I can never get a straight answer regarding my account when I call customer service. Their employees have no idea what is going on with customer accounts. It is very frustrating to be told something different every time you call in! Every time I request a manager I am told someone will contact me within 24-48 business but I have never ever received a follow up!     My experience with TriEagle has been good. However, I didn't like that I got a lot of people from other countries and there was a language barrier. Also, I constantly have had to push the issue to have it fixed. One time, on New Year's Eve, they left me without lights the whole day. They did something wrong with the system. It was getting dark and cold. I had to call every hour to see if somebody else would answer the phone and actually help me fix the problem. I had to even call AP to see if there was something being done to make sure that I was gonna have lights. I had to do everything on my own. After about 10 hours, they were able to get the lights back but they didn't compensate me for that day without lights. Even so, the price is good.

    I have had TriEagle before for about eight years. But a Reliant person came by and said they could get me a cheaper wattage and that TriEagle Energy was gonna charge me $3.49 as a service charge. They were wrong though. When I called TriEagle, they explained that the extra $3.49 was already included in what they charged me per kilowatt. They don't do a kilowatt per hour, plus the base rate, plus $3.49 again multiplied by your kilowatt hours. Their on-core fee and your kilowatt hours are all lumped in one. Reliant was breaking it down into three things. They have the base rate and then two charges for kilowatt hours.

    When I got my first bill from Reliant, they were at least $20 higher than what TriEagle Energy was. I was with Reliant for about two months last year and then I went back to TriEagle. My conversation with the TriEagle Energy rep went well. Also, my bill is cheaper. I would recommend them. I hope they will branch out and come more towards Wichita Falls two and a half hours away from the Metroplex.

    On December 18, 2019 I get an email that my contract with TriEagle was about to expire at the end of the month of January 2019. I called them to see if I could get a better rate which they could not provide. I did some research and found another company who had a better rate and told them when my contract was terminating. They were instructed to start service in the of month February 2019.

    On January 10, 2019, I get an email from TriEagle stating that I had switched and giving me the termination date of January 11, 2019, which was wrong. The email stated that if this was not authorized, then I should give TriEagle a call. I did call... 3xs. I also called the new company and told them they had the wrong starting date. They said they would start service the next month and that I should call TriEagle so service is not interrupted.

    Well, TriEagle still charged me a $20.00 termination fee. On the 3rd call, I spoke to a female agent about the termination fee and the termination date which I did not authorize until the next month, the agent proceeded to read the notes and told me to hold. She forgot to press MUTE. A conversation took place in Spanish between her and another female agent and discussed my situation.

    They both acted as if they knew who I was (making me feel as if I was an inconvenience and wanted to get rid of me), and that I kept saying that the termination fee was unfair and the date was not authorized. The other female agent stated "It does not matter... she paid right?" The phone agent then said she called several times but... "I don't want Alejandro calling me to address this and ask me why I waive the termination fee. She going to call again." Then the other female stated "Who cares what she thinks... We got our money... Just read her some policy... she will get over it." There are more demeaning comments made throughout the conversation... It lasted a little over 2 minutes. By the way, I never spoke to an Alejandro.

    At this time, I felt humiliated and discriminated as a customer. I told her I was being treated unfairly, that it is not so much about the money but the principle of it. I then asked to speak to a person of higher authority and she told me everyone was in a meeting. It seems that every time I have requested for a supervisor, that is the answer I get. She did state someone will call me back. Please note that there is more to the conversation that took place in Spanish and it was not pleasant to hear. I went from being upset to being discriminated to feeling humiliation.

    I speak Spanish and I did confront the agent on the phone towards the end of our conversation and I told her that I understood the entire conversation that took place between her and her co-worker in Spanish. There was complete silence on the phone that I had to ask "Are you still there?" She replied "Yes... I am." She never offered an apology nor denied what I heard.

    I am appalled and they made me feel so ashamed. I handled all the calls I made in a very professional manner. It should have never come to this. Some calls are recorded and I hope this one is. I have to ask why is TriEagle allowing this to happen? I feel so humiliated and discriminated. I can definitely tell you that these agents would have never thought I spoke Spanish. They both were talking about their customers as if they were idiots! I will wait and see how TriEagle responds. There are no corporate numbers listed to call legal, human resources and to make an ethics report.

    When my husband was alive, we had TXU and another provider. TriEagle is much better because you can get the set rate. They also have better rates. I have had TriEagle for a while. Then I had to move out of my house into an apartment in August. When I was down there, I had it at one set rate, I paid one thing no matter what. After I moved here, I was paying $85 a month until this past month, it was 105. The rep was nice when I talked to her about it. She said that they pro-rate it. I told her I thought I had that set rate thing and then, at the end of the year, if it's more, then I pay more than whatever they adjust it.

    Everything has been good up until this past month when that happened. I also told them that if it goes up this coming bill, then there's something wrong because I'm not there that much during the day, and when I'm there, I would only have one light on. But the overall performance of TriEagle is good. I don't have any trouble with them. They even worked well with me when I moved.

    Reliant was our previous provider and since we were not using a lot of energy and we didn't meet the minimum, the price went up. But with TriEagle, we were fine with the flat rate. However, it expired after almost a year and we weren't notified. I didn't notice it until summer, because by summer, my electricity went up. When I tried to renew it, the prices went up. I just wish I had the same rate that I had before. Other than that, contacting TriEagle's customer service was fine.

    I signed a three-year contract with TriEagle and for the last 1 year and 5 months it's been a ok. Not great but ok. My card was declined once and they fined me and because of that they are flagging me which means I can only pay by cash, which to me is hard and very inconvenient in this 21st century. I am already too busy with life and I don't have to run around and mail checks or search for MoneyGram centers. TriEagle is working against technology advancement. Yes my card declined and I was fined, now they cannot let me use my card and if I cancel my contract they want to fine me thousands. They are treating me like I committed a "crime" and now am in probation to pay for why my card declined once and I still paid them.

    The reason we do recurring payment is convenient-if a provider is gonna force me to run around and mail checks then hey I guess am living in a third world country. I am giving TriEagle 0/10 for customer service. 0/10 for convenience. Sign up a contract with this company at your own risk. According to me it is the WORST IN TEXAS.

    TriEagle’s price motivated me to switch and I have been with them for six years. I have a fixed rate and it seems to be consistent throughout the year but every renewal, the price has increased. Although it is a standard in the practice of business, every year that it’s getting higher, it gets to a point where I won’t stay with them and just look for a lower price. Other than that, they are doing a good job and blackouts are only caused by neighborhood outages and not intentionally on their end.

    I was the victim of illegal switching by another company. TriEagle was informed, the PUC was informed and the other company was informed. Because of my swift action my service was restored. TriEagle, they billed me for the short period, and a early termination fee. I contacted the company, they told me that the early termination fee would not be charged, and not to worry about it. They collected the bill I owed, then charged me $366 for early termination after they had restored me. I called and was told there was nothing they could do in less than 6-8 weeks. I was promised a call back from a supervisor. NO CALL. 5 calls later still no resolution, But they are billing for service. As soon as this contract is up, I will never do business with these lying thieves again.

    DO NOT TRUST THEM TO HANDLE AUTOPAY. 2 weeks ago I contacted TriEagle bc I got a huge bill. I learned that someone else opened an account using my name. They also used a ridiculous, obviously fake email address and bogus phone number. I was enrolled in autopay so when those other people didn’t pay their bill, TriEagle decided to add their charges to my autopay. I guess it wasn’t suspicious to them that I had never missed a payment, it also wasn’t suspicious that the other account didn’t have my same email, or phone number. So they charged me for it. Almost $600. I still haven’t heard from them. I am currently seeking legal counsel for this. I obviously unenrolled from autopay bc they have proven they can’t be trusted with my card information.

    Btw, the department which is supposedly working on this closes by 4:30, making it very convenient for people who work to check up on their cases. I called customer service to try to get an update today and the supervisor I asked to speak with told the rep he wouldn’t get on the phone bc they didn’t have any info for me. Great supervisor. When I demanded to speak with him, and he finally got on the phone he told me there was nothing he could do. When I told him I wanted to leave a complaint he told me to email them. I told him I’d emailed them 4 days prior requesting an update and hadn’t gotten a response yet. He said that was the only way to complain.

    Btw their policy says they’ll email you back in 3 days. I have to say before this I didn’t have any issues with them, but they have proven that they don’t have an effective protocol to follow when it comes to suspicious accounts. They also have proven they will add any suspicious charges under your name without conducting an investigation. They obviously train reps much better than they train supervisors. Also, if you ever need to speak with the people who handle these fraud cases, be ready to wait through a really long message with no way to bypass it, so they make it really convenient in that way as well. Let’s see how long it takes them to solve this. In the meantime I’m out about $600. Thanks TriEagle!

    I had TriEagle for a long time with no problems, but I started having issues with my payment being mailed out late (I would receive it in the mail the day before it was due) and subsequently my payment would be received late. I called once I learned that it was most likely a problem with my post office (**) and I started monitoring my payments and whether my check had cleared in time. The first time this happened I was caught off guard and paid the late fee. The second time I called and explained the post office issue and had the late fee waived. The third time I called the day it was due and was told -incorrectly- it had been received. The payment hadn't been received and I was charged again, and customer service refused to take ownership of what was said to me.

    Avoid, avoid, avoid. I was signed up automatically to use TriEagle as a supplemental provider through my township. For about the 1st month I was on budget billing with my primary company. They never told TriEagle that I stopped budget billing. Moving forward every month I received my bill and TriEagle's portion was the same amount for the most part, nothing noted about a budget and my rate being under or over. During the course of 2 years they adjusted my monthly billed amount 3 times, at random points in the year. That, coupled with no notations of a budget led me to believe these were just the rates they were charging and that it's part of the subsidization. I should also note that in September they adjusted my bill to be $80 less per month. October bill, the final one of this 2 year program, arrives saying I have a budget billing balance owed of $1100!

    Where's the back-up? They never sent me notifications of going over or under budget. Nothing appears on any bills. Though now they say they can send it to me. They couldn't send it each month while I was in the program? Quarterly, bi-annually?? If I was already over by $1100 why lower my monthly rate? Doesn't that mean that I would just owe even more the following year if I renewed in the program? A representative said the $1100 is from this year only. You mean to tell me that the first year they estimated my usage so spot on that there was nothing to be reconciled last year? To the penny we broke even?? But the second year in they can't budget properly and I now owe $1100? Oh, and they already were paid by my primary in full, so holding out payment only hurts my status with my actual provider. Convenient. In which case my primary just wants their money so all I'm offered is a payment plan.

    I had been a satisfied customer for many years. Always paid my bill timely. I am now on a fixed income and caring for my husband dealing with major Alzheimer issues. You had thought I renewed my plan but for some reason maybe when I hit submit, my phone did not complete the transaction. I first talked to someone when I received a bill for 595.00, I was told, "Too bad but your rate went high because you did not renew on time."     When my 3 year contract was about to expire I called TriEagle for rates. Customer rep said if I renewed I would get $25 gift card. When my new contract began, I called customer service and they said I would get gift card after I made first payment on new contract. After I made second payment on new contract I called to find out where gift card was and rep said he would call them and I would get a callback by Thursday. Today is Friday and I never heard back so I called, because apparently TriEagle reps have to even lie about callbacks. Then rep said promotions department said I didn't qualify for the gift card. If 2 reps told me I was to get the card, TriEagle has to honor it but they won't. These people are all a bunch of lying thieves who will say anything to deceive customers. I want to be let out of my contract to go to an honest company.

    We used TriEagle Energy at the other house and this is my second year at this new residence where I also use them. We've had them for seven years and they were a heck of a lot cheaper than TXU. If there’s an outage, they handle it right away and there’s never a problem. So it's a very good service. When you contact them you get a response right away. They send you a weekly report which I love, to let you know how much usage you had last week and how much you’re using this week. They keep you up to date on everything.

    They’ll let you know ahead of time that you’re up for a renewal and what everything’s gonna be. And then there’s different plans, you can either have a one-year plan if you think you’re gonna move or you can have a two-year plan and it was really easy when I moved to a different house to roll it right over. I’m very satisfied and I would recommend them to others.

    I'm 71 years old and I've used other electric companies. As far as the electricity and what I get, TriEagle is as good as any of them. However, I wasn't too happy about the thermostat deal that they sold me. They sold me a thermostat that didn't have any sensors for the other rooms. And my house always had cold or hot spots in it. And I've tried to get them. I told them I'd pay the difference and get another Eco-thermostat that had the sensors, but they wouldn't do it. They flatly turned me down. I wasn't gonna re-up with them, but I did because I ran out of time and didn't have time to research anybody else. But other than that, they're fine.

However, I don't know if it's the different programs we get help from or TriEagle themselves, but when I talk to the reps, they've never been very helpful.     I first started using TriEagle in 2010 and it doesn't give me any problem. Every time I would call them, I would got a response within 5 minutes and I can directly talk to a rep. So, everything was great and they have been patient with me. But in the last couple of years, it has been harder for me to call them and I get long waiting time. There are some options I have to make to speak to a rep. Other than that, everything is convenient and I chose the fixed rate and I think I paid fair so I stay with it. And I have referred several friends to use their service. Sometimes I talk to my friends and we're talking about our electricity bills. They tell me a price and I would say that TriEagle offers a lower price. I'm paying less than they do.

    It was a little frustrating at first trying to establish service with TriEagle. They got my paperwork mixed up a little bit. But then I went through an agent, and she took care of it for me. I like that TriEagle has a very clear price and there are no hidden fees. What's on the paperwork is what you get charged.     TriEagle is better than TXU. I have Green Mountain Energy for my commercial building, but that's only because TriEagle isn't interested in it. And my experience using TriEagle is about the same as Green Mountain. TriEagle's website is about the same as well. It was all setup automatically. However, sometimes, I'm a little confused. I thought that my contract was for 100% green or sustainable. And then, I saw a document once which sounded like it was only 10% of it. When I renewed my contract this last time, I wasn't as confident that I was getting 100% green energy based on lots of different documents. I still have that lingering question, but it wasn't so important to me that I followed up on it.

    But I still would like to know if what percentage of my energy is wind-generated, solar-generated, and what percentage of it is a traditional power plant. Nevertheless, I have recommended TriEagle to others. I get a weekly email report on my usage and that's cool because I'm able to have a sense of where I stand. It also gives me projection every week about what my monthly bill would be and I like that. That's something that my other companies never did.

    TriEagle Energy was much better in rates and in customer service whenever I've called them compared to my previous provider. Their reps listened and were very responsive. They would reach out to you four months in advance to let you know that your contract is expiring. Whereas the previous company I've been with would just let it go and then when the rates would go up and I'd bring it up to them, they'd say, “Oh, yeah. Your rate is expired. You never called us back to renegotiate.”

    Since being with TriEagle, I've been really happy. They're available if there are any questions and the billing's straightforward. I know my contracted rates and get all the updates on a weekly basis for the usage which helped me anticipate what my monthly usage is and what my monthly bill is gonna be. They offered me a different variety of rates, either a three-year rate or a one year rate, depending on how long over time I'm looking at. Also, they were willing to work with me than to just put it up to you and say, “Well, here you go. Pay it.” I'm very happy with the way they treat me.
