    I would like to say that Freedom forever did a great job with panel installation, staff were very kind and professional! I just want to mention about the interconnection service, I've waited months for PTO and never got an update about reason of delay. I have to contact both freedom forever and Ameren what's causing the delay and I found out that there's a missing document that needs to be sent to Ameren Renewable. Please make sure that all documents are sent completely to prevent delays for future clients and for us to enjoy benefit of solar. I would like to commend the customer support services esp Linda for being so kind and accommodating to all my concerns.

    Updated on 10/02/2025: When I call customer service I receive the excellent service. Professional and courteous. Installation was just the same way. It was a nice process. Prompt, reliable, respectful and nice. However, when forwarding my Intercompany Connection Agreement from the utility company I such an extremely difficult time. Constant, multiple emails and texts referring me to a portal that never worked. Each piece of correspondence regarding this document had no telephone number or contact information. It’s taken over 3 weeks and I am not certain it’s resolved.

    Original review: Excellent customer service on every interaction with Freedom Forever. Willing to go above and beyond to help me learn the system. They just installed my second set of panels and a EV charger for me. Helpful in every way and the installers worked very hard! Always on time and kept me frequently updated on my project.

    Excellent employees ensure a smooth process and will be there to hold your hand through every bit of the install. A bit more expensive than other solar companies, but the cost is worth it when you consider how other solar companies try to offload your questions to a computer or aren't responsive to questions or concerns you have. From the case managers to the installers, excellent. Can't recommend Freedom Forever enough.

    This company is terrible, terrible customer service, very shady dealings. They can barely install their solar properly. Their electrician came to look at a power issue and said I wired it horribly and he cannot even figure out what goes where. They installed it all and I never touched it. Do not waste your time.

    My friend brought Austin **. After his sweet talk agreed after his recommendation for solar panels installation. He said with a monthly charge of $56 for 25 years. When I was signing the contract I realized he didn't tell me that every year it will go up by 3%. So I calculated and was surprised to learn that I would be paying over $25000 for 10 panels. I opted for my own financing for $12000. It took a long time to install the system. Then the real drama starts. The installer Freedom Forever are scums. When you call them there are always 10 callers ahead of me. It takes at least 30 minutes to get someone and at times they will hang up and not call back again. Bottom line is now you have to call different companies to solve one problem. They all raise hands up.

    I also realized that Centerpoint in Texas will not allow them to install Solar systems with more capacity as well as will not buy that at the rate they charge and the salesperson doesn't tell you upfront. We don't know whether extra power generated during day is being transmitted to the grid or not. After installation you are on your own as Texas Solar Pros guy will not pick up the phone. Beware of these fraudsters.

    Luis's help was immediate. They sent a technician a few days later to look at the problem with my solar panel. The service was excellent. I would recommend it to my family and friends. I hope the technician can find the problem and help me with my solar panels.

    There has been only two times I had to call Customer Service and the reps have both been outstanding in explaining the answer. I have not had such good customer service in years. I’m old school so things have to be explained a little detailed. I didn’t even have to tell them they were so thorough and I was so pleased. So glad I have them as my backup.

    Nothing has been completed as promised by the sales representative. System still not functional even though panels were installed in December 2024. Company can’t tell me when the missing part will even be available much less installed and then it has to be inspected by the County and then the power company. Panel installers left a huge mess. I am beginning to think it will never operate.

    Updated on 11/22/2025: This is the third appointment I had to schedule for attention on my 6 solar panels that need attention. The first appointment I was told it was a month wait because of the need of two techs to make the repairs. The tech shows up and only one was send out so he left because of the need of the second tech. I call again to see what happened since my solar panels haven’t been 100% operational for months now. The give me a second appointment two weeks for the first appointment. Same thing happens. They only send out one tech, tech leave again.

    Now I am on my third appointment a month from the second appointment and no one has shown up and no one has communicated to me. This is literally the worst purchase of my life. Will be looking into figuring out how to get rid of this solar panels a Freedom Forever doesn’t care for the performance of your solar panels. Worse service ever. 6 of my solar panels had been producing for months and I never got an alert. I found out because I called to customer service that I had a feeling something was wrong with my solar because of the decrease in productions. It was then when I found out 6 of my solar panels weren’t working. Now I still have to go through this hassle to get my panels up to 100% and they can’t even get those tech out to my appointments.

    Original Review: Customer service was good but it does take a long time to get through with someone for customer service assistance. Also if I wouldn’t have called no one would have notice that my system had issues. Apparently there was an alarm that I wasn’t aware of because there was no message in my side of things.

    Farrah was very good!! I'm just tired of having to call over and over again. Most times I have to wait one hour just to speak with a rep and then get transferred 3 times most calls. I haven't had working solar since July. I would love to get this resolved this month. My electric bill is 4 times higher than what I normally pay. I hope my bill reimbursement request goes through. I hope I don't have to call again. Fingers crossed. 🤞

    I am a little disappointed on our first year of going solar with Freedom Forever. Sales representatives assure my husband and I going Solar would be the best option in regards to save money. That has not been the case, we now pay more than before. Edison bills have no stop and bill goes up each time more, not to mention the mandatory payment towards the Freedom for the solar panels. We are stuck in a contract and to be honest our system is way too small to produce our whole home successfully. A representative gave us a lower rate to close the sale.

    We have had Freedom for 2 years now. Every May the system goes down for two months and electric bills are 300 dollars. Been trying to contact someone and we stay on hold with this stupid AI for two hours at a time and just hang up. At this point I think a lawyer needs to get involved. We were supposed to get the big panels when gave us the small ones. Price for panels keeps going up every year. Tech comes out to fix panels. I talked to the guy. He didn't know. I was the homeowner and told me he told the company he came out to fix them but didn't and admitted he lied about fixing them. As I write this I have been on hold for two hours now. This is absolutely insane. They don't care about people. They care about money.

    We got a credit of 65 dollars out of a 900 dollars electric will which is wild to me. The run around is insane and seriously pissing me off. Should get a group together and sue them straight out of business. The more I write the madder I am getting. There should be consumer laws about this to protect people from these money grabbing animals with no morals. If you read this review run and run fast.

    Set of installation appointment a few weeks in advance with a 7a-10am arrival time. Had not received any communication on that day so at 2pm, I called and they indicated it was now 3p-5p. The install team showed up at 4:15p and were able to install some panels before letting me know they did not have our solar controller so they would be back in the morning. Once again, There was no word from installation team in the morning so I reached out again and the install team said they were still waiting in the controller but they would have it the next afternoon (3rd day from my appointment) however we had plans that afternoon so we scheduled it the morning of the following day. I then received a call minutes later that they could complete the job tomorrow morning instead of the following day, which they did to our satisfaction.

    Freedom Forever came to do an installation inspection and estimate. I never agreed that I would use their service. However I went through their qualifying procedures where Freedom had me fill out a loan application where I was approved. I did not contract an install. No services or products were ever delivered and no services provided as I cancelled any further action with this company. Within 3 months a loan from Mosaic appeared on my credit report for an absurd amount that I do not have. I've been trying for a year for this fictitious loan to be removed. Mosaic filed bankruptcy and stated the loan was paid to freedom and until they confirm cancellation and the funds have been returned that I owe this loan. Freedom said they have cancelled this loan. However clearly they have not.

    I am seeking legal counsel, the news stations, associations and BBB in my attempts to remove this fraudulent loan from my credit report. It's been over a year and I'm still fighting them daily. I rate this company negative stars and recommend if Freedom Forever or Freedom Forever pros contacts you for solar panels or any other service you run far and fast from this company. They are a scam and fraudulent LLC company. As far as the financial loan companies they use Mosaic is in bankruptcy and out of business and I would imagine GoodLeap soon will follow. Mosaic is doing nothing to remove their fictitious/fraudulent loan from my credit and has stated freedom has been paid for this loan therefore until Freedom Forever confirms cancellation there is nothing they can do. Leaving me only one option to sue both Freedom Forever, Freedom Forever pro as well as Mosaic for a loan that never existed.

    My system it's down for 3 days, I tell them I need a technician to come change the switch from inverter, they tell me will monitor and in 14 days will take a decision to send someone. My biggest regret to ever choose them and install solar. Bill didn't decrease but increase because Electric provider rips us off because we have solar and they put extra charges.

    From the start, I was impressed with the low-key sales presentation, with neither pressure nor hard sell. All my questions were answered patiently and thoroughly so that I was able to make an informed decision. I was kept informed throughout the process, by text or email, and given accurate ranges of time for performance of the work. Once installation day came, I was amazed at how quickly the installation was completed (less than 3 hours). City inspection went smoothly, and am now just waiting for the utility company's PTO. I cannot recommend Freedom Forever highly enough. They are a well-run business with integrity: they keep their word.

    I've had my system for over 4 years. The system has been ok until the last 4 days. The System stopped producing for about 4 hours/day especially the last 2 days. I called support and the hold times are about 45 minutes, which if you have the time to spare, sure... If not do count on a quick call. The rep that I spoke to made excuses as to why my system wouldn't be generating power even when I explained that the system light was blinking and had the monitoring company said there was an issue. I was told that it would have to be 3 days of nonproducing for them to even check and I would have to call back again tomorrow before they would check on my system. All the while, I'm losing power generation and money. The Support and customer service is just poor.

    Let me start that I wish I hadn't had to contact Freedom Forever because it meant I had a problem with my PV system. That said, Freedom Forever's customer service on this, and my 2 other interactions over the years was excellent. Allely, the representative who helped me today, listened, understood that I had exhausted the self-help guidance to try and remedy the issue, and didn't waste any time asking me to retry those steps again. She valued my time, clearly communicated what I should expect from Freedom Forever to remedy my PV system issue going forward, and helped me get from problem on the path to solution.

    Like I said above, I hate that I had to call, but I'm glad my system was installed by Freedom Forever because they've delivered excellent service and stood behind the PV system and its warranties. I'm sooo glad I didn't end up with a fly by night installer like the horror stories you hear about in the news. Thanks Allely and Freedom Forever!

    Support over the phone was excellent. The individual was patient and knowledgeable. She was outstanding in providing support with a plan going forward to resolve problem. The only issue was the wait time between being placed on hold till next representative was available. My wait time had to be around 50 minutes. That is unacceptable.

    Jaime was very helpful and answered the phone very quickly. I didn't like the outcome but that is not Jaime's fault.     Nailah was the best. She was so so so kind. She was professional listed with empathy and solved my issue and got an apt scheduled. She is the best!!! Please have more staff like her! Also your AI system is really really bad. Please replace with a human asap. I kept getting the same message and it would hang up on me. During an emergency situation like mine an AI system can make you look very bad and almost like you don’t care about your customers. Nothing can beat talking to a real human who can actually solve problems.

    I met my sales representative in a Lowe’s store, and he was very helpful and informative. While I did not go to the store specifically for solar panels, I was already in the market for them since my existing system was not producing enough electricity for our now all-electric home. Based on our discussion, I moved forward with installation, which was completed in April. It has now been four months, and the system is still not producing any power. Unfortunately, my experience with Freedom’s customer service has been disappointing. Communication has been poor, and each time I attempt to get a status update, I am left on hold for at least an hour. It feels as though progress is being unnecessarily delayed.

    My plan from the start was to generate extra electricity during the summer to offset winter months when sunlight is limited. Instead, I have been paying for the solar panels without receiving any benefit, all while still paying the utility company for electricity—essentially paying twice. This is both frustrating and financially burdensome. I am requesting that my system be made operational as soon as possible and that the company address the delay and lack of communication that has occurred.

    I was getting runaround from a lot of people, but this person went out of the way supported me walk me through with the process. He did a wonderful job. I think he’s phenomenal. My first concern was regarding turning on the system. My second concern was about something salesperson promised, and it was not delivered and third concern was online support.     We called into Customer Service today. The first call we had to wait for the AI to figure out what the heck we were saying for several minutes and then after being transferred and waiting for I don’t know more than 30 or so minutes the line dropped so the second time we called we gave the customer service agent who happen to be Maria a heads up to please take down our number because we are afraid we would be dropped. Well she was excellent –Maria provided excellent customer service- friendly & professional. Made the customer interaction very pleasant - I will admit that Prayer interactions with this company has not been pleasant at all, but today’s experience certainly earns you guys a few gold stars. You need more people like her!

    My solar panel is not working. I call company to report outage; on July 8, 2025, they told me that my inverter was bad, and need replaced.     This company is a GRIFT. My 96-year-old mother was promised $1000.00 for referring me and that was spring of 2024 and she has NOT received a penny. I called their customer service office back in Jan 2025 and they said she would have it in 60 to 90 days ...NOTHING... Now the corporation will not return emails and if I call it asks me to press 2 for English but NOTHING happens and it repeats then disconnects. I tried calling CHANCE multiple times to find out what is going on on. He answered 1 time when I called from a different phone back in April "7/24/25 now". He said he was in New England at the time but would take care of it when he returned home to Cent IL in 2 weeks ....NOTHING. I just NOW called again ....No answer voicemail...Do NOT trust this company.

    Subject: Ongoing Loan Dispute – Job Cancelled but Still Being Billed

    Dear Freedom Forever,

    I am extremely frustrated with the ongoing issue between Freedom Forever and Mosaic regarding my cancelled solar installation. The job was cancelled on May 31, 2024, due to insufficient sunlight at my property. Freedom Forever claims they sent the cancellation letter to Mosaic. However, Mosaic has informed me that they never received any such documentation. In fact, a Mosaic representative told me that I’m not the only customer experiencing this exact issue.

    I have: Repeatedly contacted Jared Salvin Light, the Freedom Forever sales representative — with no response. Called customer service at both Freedom Forever and Mosaic. Explained the situation multiple times, yet there is still no resolution. Meanwhile, I continue to receive loan bills for a project that was never completed and should never have been financed. This situation is unacceptable and feels like a clear case of mismanagement or negligence. I do not owe anything for a job that was cancelled over a year ago. This loan must be removed from my account immediately. Please resolve this matter promptly.

    They use third party roofers who made a mess of my roof and never actively cleaned the debris that fell all over the place. They simply don't work or talk to you at all and almost feels like they're trying to force you into making bad decisions. Still charged me for terrible roof work which I've already had to search for a new roofer to fix it now. Unbelievable service, terrible company. They sent an email to try and change the base price that we agreed on by increasing it. I refused to sign it.

    Although the prices are lower than others, I would NOT use these folks again. We started in October of 2024 and it is STILL NOT OPERATING AS OF TODAY! Almost 9 months! They say it takes 1/2 that time on their website, but that isn't true for us. NO COMMUNICATION WHAT-SO-EVER! I can't get ANYONE to respond to me. They have required full payment months ago, and our system is fully installed, but they keep saying the final inspection gets cancelled for a variety of reasons...and so we are losing money every day! They are a mess. I asked for the owners information, and the lady told me they don't have one? She gave me an email of someone, but he isn't responding either. I will be taking legal action. STAY AWAY FROM THESE FOLKS, they don't care.

If you want to wait forever to get solar and have everything done half ass call them. No communication. Very bad work. My roof still is not right and never will be. Almost a year now and still have no working solar. I regret going solar with Freedom forever.

    Updated on 06/04/2025: Freedom Forever’s response here is misleading and disingenuous. It implies that I have not already been in contact with their support team—when in fact, I have been communicating exclusively with Freedom Forever Support for nearly six months, through dozens of calls, emails, and even recorded conversations. Their suggestion that I now reach out via the contact method they posted appears to be an attempt to appear responsive to the Consumer Affairs audience, rather than a genuine effort to resolve my case. I followed the instructions they posted, and—unsurprisingly—no one has contacted me back.

    This public response contradicts the private reality: Freedom Forever has continually promised resolution, claimed cancellations were "in process," and blamed delays on Mosaic, all while I remain liable for a loan on a project that was never installed. If Freedom Forever truly wanted to resolve this, they’ve had months of direct contact and documentation to do so. This response feels more like a PR maneuver than meaningful customer service.

    Original Review: I signed my first contract with Freedom Forever in September 2024, and due to delays, signed a second contract in December that was supposed to replace the first. I was explicitly assured—in writing, in emails, and on recorded calls—that the first contract and loan would be canceled. Instead, Freedom Forever drew 70% of the funds from BOTH loans—nearly $150,000 total—without installing a single piece of equipment.

    It’s now June 2025, and while the first loan was finally canceled in January, the second loan for $69,494.12 is still active. I have contacted Freedom Forever dozens of times. Each time they claim the cancellation is “in process” or “has already been sent to Mosaic.” But Mosaic tells me the opposite—they have no confirmation and are waiting for Freedom Forever to return the funds.

    I have documented proof that Freedom Forever committed to canceling all contracts and loans with no penalty. Yet, they’ve gone silent, and I’m left financially liable for a loan on a project they never fulfilled. This has been emotionally draining, financially risky, and a massive waste of time. Avoid this company at all costs. Their internal coordination is a mess, their customer service is evasive, and their business practices feel deceptive at best.

    All the people I've talked to at Freedom up until this point have been wonderful, courteous and friendly. Communication started on Thursday afternoon. I talked to people on Friday. Someone called me back on Saturday and said I probably would see someone or hear from somebody that Saturday afternoon. Never happened. Now it's Sunday and tomorrow's Monday morning, Memorial Day, and I don't think anyone's going to be here to at least talk to me at least until Tuesday about my problems. I'm not happy.

    I had solar panels installed by Freedom, and shortly after installation, I noticed roof leaks that were never present before. I reported the issue promptly, but instead of taking responsibility, the company has tried to shift the blame. This is extremely disappointing, especially from a company that promotes trust and sustainability. A proper installation should not lead to damage, and customer concerns should be addressed seriously, not deflected. I’m hoping Freedom will do the right thing and take accountability for the damage caused during installation.

    I signed a contract and cancelled it when I found many errors and modifications needed. It was after I sent a thousand dollars as deposit. They kept communicating and promising and sent me a different contract which I did not sign because of their unfulfilled promises and time lines that they promised. Now they are refusing to refund my deposit. Of course I will go after them until I get it refunded but beware of all their sweet talk and promises. It all ends with you losing.

    First, I want to shout out our sales rep, Ralph, who is awesome. He always keeps us informed and responds quickly. Second, my complaint is with the install. From our first meeting until now it has been over six months. There was an issue with the install resulting in an inspection failure. That was 2 months ago. Still waiting on another inspection, and then FPL needs to change our meter. We still have some time left before the system is usable. The delay is very frustrating. Meanwhile, we are still paying FPL prices.

    Since I have no other solar co. experience I have to go with 3*. CSRs are polite and helpful, but my system has broken down twice due to inverters going bad and I have had to wait well over a month for new parts to come in. They don’t keep them in stock.

    I am a current client with Freedom Forever Solar. Amber ** (FF project manager) and Logan ** (foreman of the FF installation group) are the two individuals my wife and I were speaking to in regards to the roof damage. We were scheduled to have solar panels reinstalled on my roof on December 2nd, The crew was there on December 2nd,3rd,4th, and 7th. It took them four days to attempt to install solar panels on my roof. Mr. ** came off my roof on the 4th day and told me there was at least 15 feet of damage over my garage caused by the inexperienced workers. He stated that there were 30 holes in the roof over the garage that were caused by the inexperienced workers. He stated that he may lose his job over this because FF would want him to be quiet about this and just finish putting the solar panels on the roof. He stated that the roof would likely leak in the next 6 months and they would be back taking off the solar panels again.

    Mr. ** was not there on the first two days the damage occurred. The first and second day of installation an inexperienced crew was left alone. When my wife contacted Ms. Wilson agreed that there was damage on the roof and admitted to my wife and I that she noticed the damage on the second day the installation crew was there and they were found sleeping in the trucks. Amber gave them a "come to Jesus talk" and allowed them to get back onto my roof to damage the shingles further at that time. After Mr. ** told me about the roof damage he asked me if I wanted to stop the installation at that time and I said yes as the workers were not competent to do the work and wanted to avoid further damage.

    Mr. ** was very apologetic and the men picked up their equipment and left. Ms. ** stated the workers were misrepresented as having adequate experience and that this was their first job off a 2 week training. Ms. ** confirmed the damage over the garage again when she was at my home in March to take pictures with a drone. Somehow the pictures would not load properly or were lost so, another crew was sent to obtain photographs on their cellphones. Ms. ** told me I could call her for any problems at any time, when I text or call, she does not respond. We contacted the Illinois Attorney General office to get a resolution as I am tired of going back and forth with the FF resolution team in regards to this.

    Jaylin ** (resolution office) is the third resolution person we have had to speak with in regards to this issue. They sent my wife an email stating that we did not have any damage and they would like to schedule to reinstall the panels. When I attempted to call them, they would not answer the phone to speak. This is the second time that FF has damaged our roof. I presented them pictures of the damage and they said that the brackets were just misaligned and they flashed it appropriately. They do not want to take responsibility for their mistakes.

    The first time they damaged the roof, my wife called to schedule them to remove the panels because we had a leak around where the panels were installed and they laughed at her and told her it would be 3 months before they could get out and assess the damage and schedule the removal of the panels for a new roof to be placed. I turned it into insurance and had a brand new roof installed at that time and now it has been damaged a second time. I have reached out to the leadership administration without response, I would like the damage repaired so that we can move forward with installation of the solar panels with another company or to dissolve the contract. I do not trust Freedom Forever to reinstall the solar panels as the company has shown to be negligent and incompetent to perform these duties. Not to mention the professional working relationship is gone. If I could give zero stars it would be more accurate.

The same thing happened to us. Now stuck with solar panels. Things go wrong. They send me a part. Well am I suppose to go on roof and install the part myself?? Seriously it's been two years.     The salesperson repeatedly assured me that once I had solar I would be paying just one bill to the solar financing company, instead of a bill to my electric company. He stressed over and again that I would no longer have to worry about the electric company raising prices because that would not affect me anymore. My panels are in and I've started paying my monthly fee for them, yet continue to get a bill from my electric company, in fact that bill hasn't even lowered.

    When I called Freedom Forever to ask why I'm still getting a bill from the electric company, they offered apologies for the salesperson misleading me, but stated that I would always receive a bill from the electric company in addition to the bill for the solar panels. That means I am now paying almost double what I was paying to just the electric company, so I am not only seeing no savings from having these panels, I am now paying much more for something that was supposed to save me money. I am an elder on a fixed income and I'm not only distressed about now having to pay more rather than less, but frankly disgusted that this company misled me so. I'm working with them on some solution, but I'm highly doubtful that they will do anything to make this right.

    Solar system inverter failed again! Spoke with agent. Conducted shut down and restart. Same inverter malfunction issue. Agent told me my inverter malfunction issue will be forwarded to the monitoring team. The monitoring team is expected to reach out to me within 30 days. Imagine 30 days just to call me and verify that the inverter needs to be replaced just like the previous inverter replacement. Then, who knows how long it will take to get this inverter replaced? I had no idea that owning a solar system installed by Freedom Forever was such a stressful and terrible financial decision.

    Our combined monthly solar system loan payment and current utility bill is still more than if we would have not installed solar. We wouldn’t have to sweat until mid-evening when the utility company permits lower-cost electricity if we had not installed solar. We admit that we made a costly mistake to trust an outside contractor who sold the system to us. Buyer beware! Don’t install a solar system!

    Installation was fine. Claiming the Federal Tax Credit was easy. But when it came to the New Mexico State 10% renewable, Freedom Forever has been totally unsupportive. The application to qualify for the credit requires some very specific information and some very specific documentation, which the Freedom Forever "help" line told me they simply do not do. I need an invoice from the contractor that details the cost of equipment, the cost of materials, and the cost of labor. I also need a cost of each solar panel. There is only one phone number that connects to Freedom Forever, and both times I was advised that they do not generate invoices. When I asked if that applied to the New Mexico, they said I should talk to my "Tax Professional" in order to navigate the New Mexico application. The process, such as it was, has been infuriating.

    Freedom Forever got my money, but they don't seem concerned about my little state tax credit. If Freedom Forever can't support me on this, how can I be certain that they will support my system for 25 years? I would like to contact one of the officers in the company to get their take on the status of my application for the New Mexico tax credit.

    Where to start: From start to finish, our experience with Freedom Forever was by far the worst experience we have ever had with any company, it's not even close. Customer Support, virtually non-existent. Failure to follow-up on safety-related issues, I had to email the CEO personally after repeated attempts to get it corrected.

    Failure to follow up with the Utilities requests for corrections, took weeks and was only done after I repeatedly badgered Freedom Forever. Excuses because things weren't done, you name it, they had them. All of this I can back up with emails that I saved. If you want to test how much frustration you can take, by all means, go with Freedom Forever, otherwise do yourself a favor and choose someone else, anyone, but Freedom Forever. Full transparency: I warned them that I would use any means that I can legally use to disparage them and warn other potential customers not to use them. This is the start.

    Truthfully I'm not satisfied with or even about the service given. My system has not been producing since the 21st or 23rd of January. I knew and could see it wasn't producing from the app. I was told it may take 10 to 14 business days. But this morning I finally get a call. Someone will be here the 26th to check out the system. So sorry for the delay. Really, it hasn't been working for a month and I hear sorry for the delay. I paid for this system, completely. I paid in full to have this service 24 hours s day, every week, every month of the year!!

    I got solar panels about two years ago with Freedom Forever in Illinois. Me and my wife just sold our house about three months ago with the solar panels on it. It was the easiest thing we’ve ever had to deal with. Our house wasn’t even on the market for a full week before we already had several offers. The house went above asking. Jacob ** helped us through the whole process. He helped us get the solar panels. Me and my wife had another child and had to get a bigger house now we are getting solar panels through Illinois Shines under the power purchase agreement with Jacob once again.     Other than the sales rep telling me that the install would take 1-2 month and it actually took 3 months, I am happy. At first I was upset because I wanted my system installed before summer and I felt the rep over sold me. When I look back now, I am very happy. That extra month is not a big deal. It is interesting how we as consumers are. If I chose to write a review right after the install I would of probably put a 3 star, but when I step back and look at it one year later, they absolutely deserve 5 stars! System and battery work great, look great and I am saving money! We had a black out in my neighborhood on Christmas eve, my neighbors were without electricity. But us, we didn't skip a beat! 10 stars If I could!

    I had an amazing experience with this company. I live in Illinois. My sales rep was Jacob **. He helped me through the entire process. I got worried a couple times reading bad reviews but he reassured me it’d be ok and he was right. After recently closing a deal that included purchasing a battery for energy efficiency, I accepted the full price and moved forward without complaint. However, I have encountered several issues since then. Despite multiple emails and communications on my part, I have not received the necessary documents that require my signature. Instead of addressing this matter professionally, I have begun receiving threats, which I take very seriously and intend to address legally.

    My HOA blocked me from putting up solar panels so my project with Freedom Forever was cancelled nearly a year ago. Yet I still cannot get the company to confirm as much with Mosaic, the third party lender. Mosaic has reached out to them multiple times, I've had 3 agonizing calls with their support team, numerous emails to my project specialist have all gone unanswered, even a text to the initial sales rep unanswered too. Mosaic tells me I owe them payments starting in February for a project THAT NEVER TOOK PLACE. I did NOT receive solar panels. I'm getting close to pursuing legal action, the level of unprofessionalism at this company is starting to make me suspect actual malicious intent. IT'S BEEN NEARLY A YEAR of me trying to get them to just confirm with Mosaic that the loan is cancelled!

    Freedom Forever Solar sales representative tricked us in to opening the loan via loan company Mosaic even that I clearly stated in three way call that we are not interested in taking the loan for project at least yet. They responded that this is just pre-approval but not actual loan. After sleeping on whole deal we decided that we won't pursue idea of solar system installation and we called the sales rep the very next day. Sales rep was rude, very emotional and pushy. I told him clearly that we can listen what he got to say but most likely won't be buying anything (the very moment we invited him in ) so he won't waste his time. I took case for closed deal when I told him that we are not interested. Unfortunately for us it was just the beginning of major headache and serious problems that we did not we will be facing.

    Project manager stepped in and constantly bombarded us with emails about submitting this or that. I told her that project has been canceled and she say OK. Few months we find out that project is still on and there is actually opened loan in our credit report that should not exist in first place. I asked the project manager to cancel the whole deal again, she responded that this time the project will be closed for sure and she also said that project has been closed this time. When I asked to what date, she never replied back. Four months later (total about 9 months) we found out that loan is still existing and it is damaging credit. So I called the loan servicing company Mosaic to get some answers and they said that Freedom Forever did not respond to cancellations case created by Mosaic.

    I called Freedom forever again and told them what Mosaic said. Freedom forever said that they actually did respond back to Mosaic and they gave me date that they responded. So I called Mosaic again and told them what Freedom forever said. Mosaic rep told me this time different version. They said that Freedom forever did respond the next day but about seven days later they send denial of project cancellation hence Mosaic can not cancel the loan since they already set 55% of funds to Freedom forever.

    After literally four hours of constant phone calls I asked both companies same question "am I employed by either one of your company, because I'm the one executing communications here? Clearly neither company have will to solve the issue and transferring problem they created on to customer!!! I ended up worn down and solved nothing! Most interesting thing is that after about nine months nobody is asking for single payment on that loan. Isn't it perhaps case for attorney???

    I strongly advise anyone considering working with Freedom company to do their due diligence and thoroughly research their reputation before signing a contract. My experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, dealing with what seems to be the most incompetent staff and the most careless customer service. For over six months, I have been struggling with a broken inverter, and despite numerous attempts to resolve the issue, I continue to receive the same vague responses and endless delays. The company sent a technician twice, only to discover that they had ordered parts from a company that doesn't even exist. When the part failed to arrive, they provided me with the phone number of the non-existent company and suggested I deal with them directly.

    I've been working with Petr ** on this matter, but all I hear are empty promises like, "We are working on it" or "You will receive a call about it this week." Weeks go by with no progress, and yet I am still paying nearly $200 per month for solar panels that aren't working and 100% for electricity. No one calls me back, and no technician has come to fix the issue. Forget about any reimbursement. Every time I call, I'm put on hold for hours and then given yet another number to call with no resolution in sight. I am incredibly frustrated with this lack of accountability and professionalism. Do not make the mistake of signing a contract with this company unless you want to deal with ongoing delays, poor communication, and a complete disregard for customer satisfaction.

    I purchased a solar solution for my home and the battery was installed dead (not working), the inverters were not working. After 5 months of complaining that the design was not meeting the design specs and them telling me I had to wait 1 year for them to decide on my claim. Working with tech support revealed the inverter was not working. They took another 3 months to get it replaced/fix.

    They finally replaced the battery after many site visits and not being able diagnose the problem to finally replace it. All of this is happening and I am asking for a schematic diagram to show which outlets/circuits are on backup so we can know what to expect if power goes out. They don't provide this. Power goes out and fridge don't work, outlets don't work but I am suppose to have a backup of something and better yet I should have backup of what I say is important to be on backup. They don't care because they already have their money. I was not to pay for my loan until the work is complete. As far as I can tell the work is not complete because I am not getting what I paid for (backup of critical appliances).

    Avoid Freedom Forever – Terrible Customer Service and Warranty Practices. I cannot express how frustrated I am with Freedom Forever. After purchasing my home, I found out that the solar system installed by the previous homeowner came with a warranty. However, when I contacted Freedom Forever to transfer the warranty into my name, I was met with stonewalling and runaround. Their customer service is absolutely horrendous. After multiple phone calls and emails, I was told the warranty couldn’t be transferred because of some arbitrary, convoluted rule they claimed was in place. No matter how many times I explained that the system was in my name now, and that I had every right to the warranty, they just kept giving me the same canned responses with no real solutions.

    It’s clear that once they’ve installed your system, they couldn’t care less about customer satisfaction or standing behind their product. Their warranty transfer process is a joke, and the fact that they’re making it nearly impossible to take advantage of a warranty that should rightfully be mine is infuriating. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this company. I would never recommend them to anyone. Zero stars, but had to give one to post this.

    I entered into a contract with FF for solar. At that time, I sent in a $1000 deposit. I planned to pay cash for the project. Calendar was set up, but after the inspection, my FF representative called to say the contract would not work. I was surprised and disappointed, but after discussion, I agreed. She cancelled the project, and I asked for my deposit returned. I was refused because it was after three days. I have protested several times, but they are keeping it, even though the cancellation was not at my initiation. I am so angry at this development.

    This company made grand promises and once your signature is on the contract they could care less. They didn't project approved because they forgot to pay the city when there were changes to the plan. They drastically undersized the inverter for my system. My system has 2 tesla powerwalls that don't stop brown outs, my inverter completely failed on June 26th, 2024. Tesla told them it was either a wiring issue or overloads. They came to the conclusion after an on site check that is was the inverter and now want me to pay $600 for the proper inverter.

    I don't believe this is company has any ethics. They have charged me for 8.2 KV and installed 6KV inverter. Now they are not agreeing to replace the inverter. Though panels are producing 8.2 KV energy, inverter is not supporting. Customer support personnel says they only guarantee 85% and they charge 100% money.

    I started the process of getting solar in April of this year. We didn't end up getting permits until October and installed on October 16th. Well after install we went out to look at the work and found that there were screws all the way down our awning. We raised attention to this immediately. We were then ignored for weeks until I brought it up when they came back out because they didn't finish wiring it to our main panel and were supposed to put in a new sub panel (this was due to their own design issue they were going to try and charge us for and we had to fight). Well someone randomly showed up and was able to wire it to our main panel as originally planned. None of this was communicated to us nor to one another within the company because during the next week 2 other people showed up to "work" on the sub panel but didn't bring the required equipment.

    Well they showed up to connect it to our meter to tell us they STILL didn't finish the install and they couldn't connect it until their part was done. That was on November 15th. Since then we have had the city come out for inspection twice and we have failed inspection because they installed the backup battery under a very small window under the bathroom and the company keeps saying that it is fine because it's a none escapable window but the county is not having it and now wants them to move the battery. With this all being said the whole system has now been installed incorrectly and I am worried about them moving the battery because they cut into my drywall in the house and have not fixed that, they have not fixed the first issue of the panels being in the wrong spot and now they want to move the battery and probably will not fix all those holes causing so much damage to my house.

    Every-time I reach out to someone I just get told, "We are working on it", and there is nothing more that they can do for me. My sales rep has ghosted me pretty much since installation has happened. My project manager just says the same thing being he will reach out the his branch manager and they are working on it. Or I get told that there are no notes about this in my file so I'm wondering if they really are working on anything? This company is nothing but incompetent, save yourself a headache and look anywhere else!

    We had a pretty bad experience with the people who came to do the install. When they went into the attic, they left tons of black marks and fingerprints all over the laundry room, specially the wall and the attic door hatch. They also scraped the walls and door with their ladder (all at the same height and in the laundry room they used for attic access). We’ve only been living in our new build home for 4 months and it’s already damaged. Not even sure we can trust the solar installation on our roof when they were so careless inside of our home, and failed to mention the damages before they left. Haven’t heard back in three weeks when we reported the incident. (We have more pictures and videos of damages.)

    They charge you for services and then don’t install them, but they charge you for them and will not refund you. They are a very dishonest company. Do not use them. Their management team is a bunch of thieves. They would not honor their own quotes.

    System install not completed but they attempted to get installation funds from escrow. Some of the pictures they submitted to the escrow company as 'proof' of install were not equipment on my house (they were of someone else's install). The panels not wired correctly (according to their electrician, who disconnected them from the battery to prevent damage. The definition of 'install complete' is that all components have been installed and the system is ready for start up.

    It can't be started up because the panels are not connected to the battery. Also, their plans are incorrect; if city inspectors inspect per the plans submitted, we will fail. They don't communicate. I have submitted a complaint to the BBB after giving them a chance to respond / address the issues, and they ignored me multiple attempts. It appears if you fund via escrow, they do whatever they can to get the first installation escrow payment (80%) and then they move on to the next customer.

    Misleading Sales Practices and Poor Follow-Up Service. I deeply regret choosing Freedom Forever for my solar installation. When their sales representative initially visited us, we made it very clear that we planned to add a pool and an outdoor kitchen, both of which would significantly increase our energy needs. The representative assured us that the 14-panel system they recommended would be more than enough to cover our future energy use. Now, we’re facing massive electricity bills because the system they installed is severely undersized.

    Despite communicating our future energy plans, Freedom Forever is now claiming that since those details weren’t included in the contract, they aren’t responsible for providing a system that meets our actual needs. The sales rep who made these promises is no longer with the company, and they’re hiding behind the contract instead of addressing the real issue. I’ve tried to resolve this matter amicably, but they are unwilling to cover the cost of additional panels or offer compensation for the inadequate system. I am extremely disappointed in the way this situation has been handled, and I wouldn’t recommend Freedom Forever to anyone. If you do choose them, make sure you get every promise in writing because their customer service does not follow through. Avoid this company if you’re looking for a reliable solar provider. They’ll sell you an underperforming system and leave you stuck with huge bills!

    My solar has not been producing for over a month now. The power converter needs to be replaced. The first time I called they said wait two weeks for a tech to reach out, then 3 weeks from the first time I called, then they asked that I wait a few more days, to finally “We don’t know when the service department will reach out.” According to the reps the service department is back logged and they don’t have any idea how back logged they are. The service department is not customer facing, so trying to get answers is nonexistent!! Stay away from this company!!!

    Extremely mad/disappointed!!! Garage roof fell in on my brand new car after 7/21 storm. I called Monikah, to report damage. Steven came and took photos. On 7/29 I called to find out status. I was told by Kyle (C.S. Supervisor), my claim was closed out on the 25th!!!! Result.... not their fault, due to existing leak!!!! WHAT???? SO.... why then, would the solar company, who shall not be named, install solar!!!! Nobody even called me!!!! They re-opened my claim and it will take another 30 days to go though their claim committee!!!! Then what? After 30 days with my roof falling in, are they going to say claim no fault again!!!! I AM BEYOND MAD. Do I have to go through my insurance???? That would be my 2nd claim in 5yrs !!!! Then my insurance premium goes up!!!! I HOPE AND PRAY THAT THEY WILL DO THE RIGHT THING!!!! AND I WILL BE ABLE TO UPDATE THIS REVIEW WITH A POSITIVE OUTCOME.

    July 2023, I filed a complaint with BBB (number **) to report Freedom Forever for the solar panel system they installed in my property, Magnolia - Texas, using Mosaic as a lender for the project, a 30-year loan with initial monthly payments of 133 dollars. The sales speech was with solar panels, you will end up paying less than the monthly charges in electricity, you will get a 10,000.00 dollars tax return as a stimulus that you will use to pay part of your loan principal to keep your monthly payments, and your house will increase your value with the solar panels. Last year, I complained to the BBB about the monthly energy cost on my property; the loan and carrier electricity charges were higher than regular energy charges.

    What happened next was the case was transferred to BBB California; Forever Freedom called me, I do not know how many times, at very inconvenient times since they are in California, and they asked me for all my electricity bills to evaluate if the estimations of my project were correct. After spending hours on the phone and sending all the documentation, they concluded they would call me back in July this year to re-evaluate the project. I am here waiting for them.

    What happened during this year? I not only did I spend a lot of time chasing energy vendors that provide me with the best buy-back electricity plan, my home insurance has increased by 100% from U$D 2100 to 4200 because insurance companies do not want to insure homes with solar panels, as a matter of fact my property was rejected from the 75% of the insurance companies in the market, the reason: they do not insure homes with solar panels, my house has not increased the value in the market, and nobody wants to buy a house with solar panels, because they cannot afford the extra credit, now that I want to sell the house I have to pay the loan and assume those $37,000.00 as a loss. Regarding the Taxes, ha! I got about 700 dollars return for the solar panels project not the 10.000 dollar as a stimulus, which means this year, the monthly payment of my loan went from 133 dollars to 180 dollars.

    I do not want more Freedom Forever calls; I want them to pay my loan and end this relationship. Making the numbers, this project is ridiculously costly for me, and this is why: my time chasing energy vendors with the best buy-back plans, the increase of my home insurance this year and the years to come, the value of my house did not increase, the difficulties and time of selling the house, they can pay the loan and still will not recognize the collateral damage in dollars. The minimum I expect is for Freedom Forever to pay the loan. I am done with solar and for customers do not do it!

    In 2020 we contracted Freedom Forever to install solar panels on our roof. About six months ago or so we noticed that we had water damage on the interior of our ceiling. We called our homeowner's insurance which sent an inspector out. Their report stated that the damage was due to solar installation. I then called Freedom Forever. They sent somebody out the next day to look at the roof. The repair person they sent confirmed that when my solar panels were installed, the installers did not seal the holes where they attach the panels to the roof therefore letting water in whenever it rained. Our panels have been installed since 2020 therefore four years of rain has been seeping in through the roof and is finally manifesting itself in the sheetrock of the ceiling of my living room and office.

    The repair person said that Freedom Forever will definitely take care of the repair but it’s a bigger job than they planned on and they would need to come back out to complete the repair. They then came back out a couple weeks before Christmas 2023 and the repair person looked at the ceiling and said this it was a 2 day repair job and they could come back after Christmas to complete the work. I said that would be fine and the third time they came out to repair my ceiling a new repair person showed up and very rudely told me that the damage was not due to the solar panels and the sheetrock did not need to be replaced.

    There is $2500 worth of damage on my ceiling and I would like it fixed. Every time I call Freedom Forever they only have a National Customer Service line, they take down the notes and say that I will be contacted by a branch manager within seven days. This never happens. I have called Freedom Forever at least five times over the course of two months. They’ve damaged my home and the local office is avoiding contacting me to resolve this. I am helpless as the only solution they offer me is to call the national line and wait for the local branch to get back to me.

    Called my sales rep. several times for help with no positive outcome. Solar panels were installed and I was told I could monitor the system and see the contract I signed. I have yet to get a copy of it and received no help getting on the portal. They keep telling me I will get a link, have not yet received one that works.
