    I am writing this review to warn individuals in New Mexico of the issues and delays both in communication and technical service I have dealt with. The system was initially installed in early December 2025, and this week (April 8) I finally received my PTO. This delay was caused by lack of communication and poor oversight by the "New Mexico" team. To make matters worse, once I received my PTO, the system is still not functioning ... The system is not charging ... When calling the technical support ...after several attempts waiting in excess of 45 minutes each, I spoke to a customer service representative who advised they couldn't schedule a technician because they had to coordinate with a Regional team...

    Still have not heard back....so ...I would suggest avoiding this company unless you want to deal with a centralized customer service center that has no access to the people who actually do the work and never hear from the people who actually are responsible for doing the job. Yes, Freedom Forever, I have had a "dedicated Customer Service Rep"... which has done very little to speed up or coordinate a response to get my system running....so paying for ornaments on my roof and PNM is extremely frustrating and irritating.

    We signed the papers and the nightmare began. It’s been 3 years and no solar panel have ever touched our roof. Multiple attempts to cancel the order after contract has expired have gotten me nowhere. Loaning institution has me on the blame line for $30k. Lawyers have been contacted.

    My service went out in February of 2026. It is now April 2026 and my service is still out. This is the second time that the panels have gone out since Freedom Forever sold them to me. Currently, I have been stood up on two appointments that were scheduled. When I call customer service I am hung up on as I am waiting. When I have spoken to a customer service representative I have been put on hold and then hung up on. If I could do this all over again, I wouldn’t. I have equipment on my roof from this company that isn’t working and they seem in no hurry to fix it. I am paying a regular electric bill and for solar panel that do not work.

    Avoid this company. They caused a leak, fixed it, but have not contacted me about the damage like they said they would. It's been over 6 weeks. I called and after over 40 minutes on hold, and as soon as I get a real person, I got disconnected. Their email isn't working either.

    About 15 months ago my Solar System was down almost 7 months and it took almost 3 months to convince your customer service there is s a problem. My breaker controlling my solar burned and fused to my breaker box. At that time I was told that my larger inverter SN 7F177E87-98 was old and at time of installation (2023) a newer model should’ve been installed, have about 35 solar panels attached to this inverter. Going forward – A tech came out to my home because the battery is not charging (LG) from time appt was place until tech was able to come out was 6 weeks. He found the large inverter (SolarEdge) was defective and needed to be turned off, that was 10 weeks ago. Tech spent some time with SolarEdge on Phone & SolarEdge indicated that the inverter needed to be replaced, am now waiting 10 weeks for replacement to arrive.

    In the last 4 years I have lost the service of my system for 1 of those years. I did ask if the defective inverter was what caused the breakers to burn and fuse to the breaker box and his response was more than likely. In addition I was told the LG battery is also troublesome and that a different manufacturer battery should’ve been used. I would like a resolution to my problems as soon as possible and for Freedom Forever to reimburse my electric bills as when system is working I always received a credit from TEP my power company. I do believe that original installation was defective. I hope your response will be in a timely manner with a purposeful answer.

    I was lied to about the project panels. They bait and switched the agreement from QTron 430s to QCell 410s without any notification or consent. The install is poor quality as well as a huge eye soar for the silver patches are visible. Cannot get any manager on the phone. My entire roof has tile damage along without water flashers to keep it from water intrusion. The bait and switch the install and the damage is unacceptable and a breach of what they submitted to the hoa along with the finance company.

    We signed with Freedom Forever at the end of December 2025 and paid upfront through a loan for full solar installation, with the expectation the system would be installed and operational by year end. The Sacramento install team completed the physical install on December 31st. However, when the county inspector arrived for approval, the installation FAILED due to exposed hanging wires under the panels.

    What makes this worse is that the Sacramento installation team was required to be present during the inspection — and they did not show up. The inspector arrived alone, the system failed inspection due to improper installation, and no installer was there to address or even acknowledge the issue. This was a mandatory step in the process, and they missed it entirely. Because of that failure, the system cannot be approved or turned on.

    Since then: We have been paying our solar loan for nearly 2 months for a system that is NOT connected and NOT producing power. The Sacramento team failed to show up for a scheduled correction appointment within their 6-hour window. There is no direct way to contact the Sacramento installation or scheduling team. Customer service repeatedly refuses to connect us to supervisors or provide last names. A supervisor promised multiple times to resolve this and did nothing. No accountability. No urgency. No ownership.

    We are paying for a system that does not work because of their installation errors and scheduling failures. Customer service is unresponsive and dismissive. Management hides behind call centers. There is no escalation path. If you are in California — especially Sacramento — think carefully before signing. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences we’ve ever had.

    We had another provider until they switched to this company. During the switch, our autopay got messed up and they put a lock on our box. We paid right away, but they still haven't taken it off over 3 months later. I have emailed and they keep telling me they don't have a service provider in my area, and now they say, "That's a service problem. Not this department. You'll have to email another department." But won't get me to the right people. This company is horrible and I do not recommend them.

    I called my power provider and they said Freedom Forever was a scam. I felt it was true due to my conversations with representatives. They were guaranteeing me a certain amount every month, but when I talked to my power provider, they said I can still get a bill from them.

    Here we go… We had our first real rainfall last November 2025 since getting our solar install. We first noticed the water stains on our ceiling drywall. We immediately contacted the company. They spent about almost a month passing the buck from one department to another. I spent almost a month with Dozens of phone calls and many many hours trying to get someone to do something. Finally later in December, they sent out an inspection crew. And when they inspected the roof, the inspectors let us know that the panel installers had without a doubt damaged the roof and broke many tiles along the way. He even showed us tiles they had cracked and tried to reglue.

    Definitely not what any professional roofer would do. And so while we wait for the inspection report back from the company it starts to rain again. And with a new rain storm, our ceiling drywall is starting to split and peel apart. Right in a spot that was water stained from the last rain storm. So again I’m on the phone with the company wondering which department is gonna pass me to the next department trying to find someone to come and put a tarp on the roof because it clearly not getting fixed anytime soon and after many phone calls, and more hours on the phone, they sent a crew out to send a postage stamp of a tarp on the roof.

    And so I called him back and said what is wrong with you people? What is that small tarp going to do, so they added another tarp and then the wind started and the tarp started flying off. One flew off the roof, the other ones hitting our front window. And then I’m telling them we have a mold issue which I actually told the first inspector that came out. He said, "Oh now that you said that we have to elevate this to the next level of concern."

    Since that point I’ve spent even more hours and dozens of phone calls between the three divisions of Freedom Forever pleading for someone to call me and address the issue that we have mold growing in our house. I’ve told them repeatedly that my wife has autoimmune diseases, I’ve been told by at least 10 people that my case has been elevated to the next highest level. So now at this point, the start of February the only news that I’ve received is that my inspection analysis was that the damage was not solar install related, they say it was the underlying “mesh” that probably is the problem, completely the opposite of the inspector they sent out told us.

    In mid January they had Janeth text me saying she would personally be handling my case, she informed me over a week and a half ago that they wanted to do a roof leak test. I said, "Well that’s awesome, you want to go on the roof again and break more tiles." Each time someone goes up there they break them and dislodge the tiles form the setting alignment.

    As of now they have been on our roof since the install at least 7 times. I’ve asked Janeth again after a week of when they want to do the test. All I get is they are backlogged in scheduling. I said I guess new installs are more important than someone who has mold growing in their house. And going on the 3rd month of this. So just be aware that Freedom Forever has a systemic problem of neglect and avoidance to their customers. And if anyone knows of any lawyers in California that they know of, I would appreciate any references. And hopefully Freedom F does not respond to this with their generic AI response they to with everyone else.

    I initiated the contact in mid Oct 2025, first through a direct line my real estate agent provided and through Tesla website. The direct line to my rep Grant, was a lot more helpful and responsive. (The response from online form came late and was shoddy.) Most of the process wasn't too involved, but the whole thing takes way too long.

    The initial survey was rescheduled TWICE, which wasted my agent & my time, because the surveyor wasn't even in the area on first appointment and then they needed access to the roof on the second appointment, which I wasn't told so (house was not closed yet). After finally getting that survey in mid-November, the next mess up was the install. Throughout the process from the start, I got text affirmation that the install would be done by year's end. The install was rescheduled, then half of it was postponed a week, so the total complete install didn't finish until early Jan 2026, after the new year--not satisfying since this now creates tax credit uncertainty. As of today, the system is still not yet turned on. I'm still waiting for a new meter install from the energy company, heading into February, with no set date on when I can finally use the solar system I paid a lot of money for. Overall, I can't say it was a good experience as a whole. Kudos to Grant though.

    I had a simple install: A Tesla powerwall. It started in September 2025. I paid on 3rd of September to an escrow account. It is now the end of January, the installation is complete, money has been paid. The final step, the PTO (permission to operate) has not been filed. I cannot get them to finish this project.. What a scam!

    If you want your house to have mechanical lien placed on your house then feel free to use them. They did not pay their subcontractors and it forced them to place a lien on my house. If you want to have trouble feel free to use them.

    Not great, Mason was a wonderful salesman. But, the installers were a different story. They never cleaned up after themselves. Stood around talking more than working and I realize it was cold but if they would have worked it could have been done a long time ago. The 3rd or 4th crew that came was actually the best. They got more done in one day than all the others. I just hope it's worth it once it's finished.

    Working with Freedom Forever has been the most blindingly painful experience of my life. I have never met a company that has been so resistant to talking to me. At every turn except the initial sale I was ignored until miscommunication and bad information became so rampant that I was for the first time in my life considering legal action against a company. I tried everything from extreme passivity and agreeableness to legal threats and being a very squeaky wheel. No power on earth can cajole Freedom forever to take its customers seriously. It will do what it’s going to do, silently, and in its own time. I tremble to consider the possibility that anything could ever go wrong with the system and I’ll need to ever speak to a freedom forever representative again because I know it will be a year long process of waiting around and hoping something is happening.

    The install took over 2 and a half months to complete and during this process I was insistently calling every number available to me trying to get information on what the problem was and when it was expected to be resolved. My project specialist and sales representative were totally unresponsive and the general customer support was full of yes men who did anything they could, including giving bad information and false promises, to get me off the phone.

    It is with enormous relief that I report that at the very least the system is installed correctly. Admittedly the install team itself seemed to be friendly and competent so shout out to the local installer for that for somehow doing their job when corporate is such a total crap show. I rue the day I signed a contract with Freedom Forever and will emphatically warn anyone from ever signing with this company.

    The financing for my solar project was paid in full to your company, yet Freedom Forever has failed to pay the roofing company that completed work on my home. The roof was installed in June 2025, and despite numerous calls and attempts to resolve this, the roofing company is now moving forward with placing a lien on my property because they have not been paid.

    This situation is completely unacceptable. Your company has already been paid in full, and there is no excuse for a subcontractor to remain unpaid especially to the point where my property is now at risk. I urgently need this matter resolved immediately. Freedom Forever must pay the roofing company without any further delay and provide confirmation that this account is settled.

    Overall, we had a positive experience, and I especially want to recognize Stan for his excellent work.     The solar panels are different that contract. They offer me 410 kwh and installed 395 kwh. They put more than offer in kwh, but I think the technology is less than the others. I hope that issue do not affect the effectiveness of the system.

    Complete lack of accountability. No follow up and no continuity of service. Staff seem to stay for 3 months at most. The product itself it pretty generic and I have no complaints, but they outsource sales, installation and customer service to different organizations and you never know who you are dealing with. You will never speak to the same person.

    Freedom Forever installed a solar system at my residence in 2022. I have had multiple problems with my solar system, which has resulted in low or no production. I filed a "Performance Claim", with the assistance of a Freedom Forever employee in June of 2025. As of December 2025, absolutely nothing had been done (Confirmed with Daniel w/Freedom Forever on 12.19.25). Daniel said they were understaffed due to the tax credits/incentives being reduced or eliminated thus, resulting in a loss of employees. Daniel was unable to provide a time frame as to when the "Performance Claim" would be addressed. I have been told Freedom Forever is closing operations throughout the US.

    After a couple of delays due to getting the Tesla battery in stock the project went incredibly smooth!!! Eli, the crew chief, was an excellent communicator from the word go!!! The team of Kenny, Sean, and the electrician Ryan were all great guys! Ryan took the time to speak with me on multiple occasions and provided me with a knowledge base about the product that was above and beyond all my research! We have done many significant projects to our home and this one was by far the best process and experience!!! Cleaned up after themselves!!! Everything was PERFECT!!!! OUTSTANDING TEAM!!!!

    I am solely referring to the one person who really helped me. His name is Prophett, he was the only one who didn't give me the runaround and answered my questions and gave me hope. I have been reaching out to get help for my solar for weeks it hadn't been working since January. I feel like I needed to be reimbursed for the loan payments. I spoke to a woman who told me she was the manager for customer service. I didn't get her name after her call writing down names she told me she was going to open up a claim and never did. She never told me what I was supposed to do next like it proof of payments.

    It wasn't until I spoke to the young man Prophett who was very patient with me because by then I was very upset. He remain professional and very assuring. This has been a little while ago and I still think about his work ethics. Excellent. If I have to call back to that company I won't speak to anyone but him. God bless him and people like him. I hope he soars with success in his career and never change.

    Linda was very helpful and courteous. The process of getting the installation getting done is broken. I send emails with required documents are submitted and not understood by recipient and more delays. Permitting could have contacted me directly and saved time.
