I've been looking into solar energy services for a couple of years. I had some door knockers come by a couple of years ago, they were doing a lease arrangement and that was the first time I heard about Dividend Solar. At that time I said I was not interested in a lease and it’s outrageously expensive. It was going to be $35,000-ish to put the same size of solar that we got so I said no and I'll just wait for the price to come down. They were pushing on leasing the panels because it was so lucrative for them. They were discouraging the homeowners to own it and that’s why it was going to be so expensive.
Over the summer I had another door knocker come by and at that point in time it was significantly reasonable and I got a pretty good rebate. I'm really happy with the price that I got and the way it turned out. So far, the system is working and the loan process with Dividend Solar was relatively painless. I got the paperwork via electronic and I was able to fill it out online. I was pretty happy with any interaction that I did have with Dividend Solar.

I'm currently on my first 2 months with Dividend Solar. They're the company that the solar company who put the solar panels in works with. Signing up was an online process and was easy. I qualified for their lowest interest rate so there's no way to try to get it lower. So far the system has been producing energy.

I picked Dividend Solar from the three 3 companies I looked at. One of my co-workers, who's gone solar and likes it, gets the same type of offset that Dividend Solar is able to do. Alder Energy and Sun Solar can't do it. I've been with Dividend Solar for a month now. There have been no issues so far. The enrollment was excellent, the service was good, and the installation was fast. They kept me up-to-date on the progress or what’s going on. It was an easy process. I had to problems with their CSR too. I’ve been recommending Dividend Solar and already gave a bunch of referrals out. I wish they had put a sign on my lawn, though. That way I could advertise them ‘cause people are asking me where I got it from. I saw the manager and asked him for it.

The loan process with Dividend Solar was good, but it took a bit longer than I thought it would because of the distance. They aren't local, and it's not like I can sit in the office and do the purchase. It was all through internet, mail, text, and fax. Then once the loan went through, the process of getting the solar installed still took a couple of months. I'm about to see my first month of activity with them, and I was hoping to have more contact with Dividend because I didn't want to fall behind on my first payment just because I haven't had contact with them.

Since the National Grid keeps raising their prices and they’ve been steadily increasing by 20 to 30 percent almost every year, I decided to look into solar energy. I was looking online for solar companies and got a call from a couple of places. I went for Trinity and Dividend Solar is their finance company. My enrollment went smoothly and it wasn’t a long process, but getting the solar panels on was a lengthy one, with going through the town and getting approved to allow me to do it and then National Grid said that I can. But Dividend took care of all that stuff so I just sat back and waited for them to tell me that I was all set. It was good and so far, I’m happy, but I got to get the bill in and see what we are actually getting.

I'm satisfied with going solar. I heard about Dividend Solar when Vision Solar was in our neighborhood walking around and they happened to stop by and talked to us. The sales reps who stopped by were very informative, open, good, and polite. The customer service during enrollment was fine and they've always communicated well both through email and phone calls.

I liked Dividend Solar because everything is online and convenient. Everything is easy. I like that I can monitor my solar output online, and it's nice that it's broken down by how many trees you've saved. I like the automatic draft payment as well. It's been a wonderful experience, and I have no complaints. If anybody's going to go solar, it'll be the way to go.

The incentives and the rebate gave me the most reason for choosing Dividend Solar. I had a frustrating experience in getting a copy of my tax incentive. I kept asking for a faxed copy and all they did is send me an email, and my computer’s down. I’ve already asked two representatives and they said that it’s not possible. The enrollment process was frustrating because it wasn’t being done. They told me it was going to be a long process but it took like four months to actually get started. The system was installed in December so it would apply to my 2015 taxes. But TPS didn’t put in the meter until two days ago. So we haven’t even gotten our first bill. Customer service has been excellent and real prompt on calling me, like when they were going to come out and put the meter. If any kind of action was to be taken, they would contact me.

I got really tired of paying very high electric bills so I turned to Dividend Solar. I haven't received my first bill yet but so far, I'm happy. Their enrollment process was easy and the few interactions I had with their customer service have been good. My only issue is with their percentage rate. It seems that they give 7% to everybody which is high. I've got an 815 credit rating and I got a 7.49%. Another lady that I know that was looking into solar got quoted a 7.49% too so I assume everybody gets 7.49%. Nevertheless, it was a painless experience.

Dividend Solar and other companies came around the neighborhood, but Dividend Solar impressed me more than the others. Their reps didn't push me and just explained everything. No pressure when I told them I'll talk to my husband and that we'll think about it, while all the other companies wanted me to do it right that minute. We also had one company that wanted to rip our roof and we'd get low solar bills but they get all the other benefits.
By giving me time to talk to my husband, I was able to convince him that this is a good thing. Enrollment was easy. The rep broke everything down where it was totally understandable about how it worked and what we would do, so it sounded good compared to the other people I've talked. They were real good about explaining everything, which I liked a lot. So far, I seem to be very satisfied with how everything's going. I've told a couple of people about Dividend Solar and they're trying to make up their mind now. We'd totally recommend them to anybody.

There were several other houses that I’ve seen Dividend Solar start to go up on in our housing development and we wanted to do our part to go green and lower our utility bill. I enrolled with Dividend and it was a good experience. The staff who sat down with me was extremely knowledgeable and made me decide to go solar. Everybody at Dividend was really helpful. They understood what was supposed to happen although it was a little hit or miss here and there. I imagined that would always be the case when dealing with local utility companies though. I talked to the same girl for three different times that I called so I felt I could call and talk to the same person every time. It didn’t feel like I was dealing with a big corporation where I was just a number and that was good.
The panels look great. Everything’s turned on and although I haven’t seen the first utility bill yet, I’m monitoring the production through the website daily and everything looks great so far. I think it’s going to be ultimately a good decision to go solar and I’ve already started recommending Dividend Solar.

I first heard about Dividend Solar from their Door-to-door marketer and I'm very satisfied with my decision of going solar. The representative that I worked with took care of almost all of It. The only frustration that I have was that it took them so long to obtain the permits and I understand that it's not Dividend's fault. And then Im trying to figure out a way to set up payments so that I can start paying on it, and I have not heard back from Dividend and the online tools are not working.

Dividend didn't have enough staff. They couldn't call me in and the person that I was dealing with was remote - she's there and everywhere. They need more staff and a dedicated person. They only relied on e-mail a lot and there wasn't a lot of people that could call. Also, I’m not seeing a bunch of benefit out of going solar because there are better stuff. But it’s a good thing overall because I’m gonna be generating more power than I use and my bill is the same. I would recommend them for what they give for the price that they charge. That is something that they have among other solar company. I ended up getting the extra pay and all. There were some stuff that I wasn't pleased with but the overall compensation is that I end up getting and the amount of work that they give, I was very happy with that. The only thing is that they need to explain better the situation about the rebate.

The experience I had with the Solar Energy Companies was one that was for the most part a positive one with just a few drawbacks. First always do your homework on the company you choose as the original company I went with was basically a scam. Read reviews, to checks with the BBB, and try to speak to real individuals who have used the company. Second, expect a little bit of disorganization during the installation. It does not last long so I recommend waiting until the finally of the install.

We picked this company because of their low rates "average billing plan" (they call it levelized billing). This is the plan that is supposed to help you budget by averaging your month's usages together. We were very pleased the entire year until it came to the end of our year contract. We just received an e-mail from them saying that we owe $450 because our "levelized" bill was underpaid!!! We paid our bill every month and were NEVER notified that it was being underpaid!

Enrolling with Dividend Solar was fairly simple. Elevation Solar (the company that we got our solar panels from) did everything and helped me through it. The one thing I was dissatisfied with was the interest rate because I think it's extremely high. For the current environment that we’re in right now with interest rates, 6.5% or whatever ended up being, it’s about 2 or 3% too high. I was not happy with that part of it.

Mr. Abraham came to my house and solicited my interest. I was not educated about solar panel and still not to the fullest extent but I did have some very good report about it. Because I heard about the negativeness of solar panel and I used to read and watch on Discovery Channel about when it started out 20 or 25 years ago it was not really a good product. The other thing about it is that they’re expensive. They still are. However over time it made a fantastic turnaround and become safe and proficient.
When Mr. Abraham talked to me, he entertained me a little bit and I understood it. He was a wonderful young man and I told him if I get into this, it’s all up to him not to mislead me and so far so good. He did not. So he was an excellent sales guy and I’m very satisfied with Dividend Solar. Hopefully in time, I’ll pay the bills and I’ll get no double charge.

I bought the program back in June and didn't get anything happen for months. Nobody seemed to know what was going on. Everything was the city's fault. Nobody contacted me and I had to call Dividend Solar for information. They finally got started and got it hooked up by the end of November. It was poor customer relations. I was also disappointed that they didn't come out and show me how to run the system or if there was any. They dropped the ball and it was a total bozo. The system seems to be up and running. I'm satisfied with Dividend Solar. I've been thinking about solar energy services for quite some time now since I moved to Austin when one of their representatives stopped by my house. With the rebate that Austin Energy gave from the Federal Government, it makes sense. Enrolling with them was simple. Michael, their rep, did most of the paperwork and explained everything. They're attentive to detail and always willing to help. It was great and they made me feel like part of the family.

Our experience with Dividend Solar has been great. When Chris, the salesman, was in the area and had looked at some of the houses, he noticed mine was positioned just right so he knocked on my door and asked if I would be interested. It sounded like something that I had thought about but I never inquired about it because I just thought it was way too expensive but he sat down and explained it to me and everything was just the way I’d like it to be. And, they did a total turn-key job and took care of everything. I didn't have to do anything other than to sign. It's the best experience I've had from anybody who's knocked on my door trying to sell me anything and everything is working great.

It’s easy to enroll with Dividend Solar. I just had to sign and they did all the work. I had a question for them once in a while but they were prompt about getting back within 24 hours, because a lot of it is actually research answer. I purchased solar panels from Solar Gains and Dividend Solar is who they use for financing. I'm very happy with my decision to go solar and I love living electrically-free. However, the financing part is a little difficult. There's very little flexibility to pay down the loan more rapidly, it has to be a conscious effort. It's tempting to just pay off the loan and just be done with it, but there are other benefits to having the loan open so I would prefer to pay it down.
Also, I understand that they have a link for one-time payments, but that link then continues to draw from the same account. If I wanted to contribute to my partner's account (as he was connected), I couldn't do so without backing that up with other information, putting in my information, doing one-time payment, then re-installing the first set of information. So, having an additional payment option with complete access to account numbers or input of account numbers would be very helpful.

My power company really pissed me off because they got to me for $100 and I can't argue with them because they're 260 miles away; all I get is a woman on the phone. So I went online and typed "solar" in my search window; I started looking through it and came across Dividend Solar. They had a deal that I filled out and sent in, then their contractor, Matt, contacted me. I told him what was going on, that I just had four months bills including one high month because it was right after the first of the year and I usually spread everything from the year before. He called me back and then according to Dividend Solar, I can get in it for zero down and $80 a month, which is what I pay on my electric. So I said "Look, this is stupid. I'll just go with the solar." So we went ahead and finished all the paperwork. I also got what I needed from the state. I filled it out and sent it back in, and they Okayed it.
The whole process took about three weeks. The contractor showed up out here one day with four guys at 9:00 and they did a roof set on my shop, right in back of the house, and at 6:00 that evening, they were gone. They had put the solar system in and they had checked it out. They had cleaned up after themselves as well, and they did a nice and neat installation. Everybody I've talked to has asked me about that system and I've told them about Dividend Solar and how to get a hold of them and also to contact Matt because he would talk to them about it. The bank already lifted my credit so they tried it and it wasn't happening fast enough. Signing up was simple and customer service, aside from being courteous and knowledgeable, helped me change the bank account switch problem I had.
They installed a meter for them to actually monitor the solar output. If you go on their website, you can see how much your actual production is on a daily, monthly, or a lifetime basis - pretty neat. I’m very happy with it since it’s been working well. I've just started paying additional on the principal of it and everything independently.
I have a huge project here at this house. Solar was part of the upgrades and change that needed to be done at the house. A lot of things needed to be done on the exteriors too. So this was a judgement call for the benefits that are being kicked back on it by the government supplementing 30% of it. I have the money to pay the entire system off. This is more of a question for them -- Once this system is paid off, do they then remove their monitoring system?
There was something in the paper where, even when I was talking with the guy from Dividend regarding the application, that part was not made clear. I'm sure it's all in the writing and was just something that I overlooked. I am now very satisfied with my decision to go solar. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. But I would definitely point out that part about the repayment--had that part been omitted.

We wanted to see if we could save some money because we're in a place that has a lot of sun. Our house isn't that huge and it's not that hot. So it seemed like we could get a system in place that was going to save us money in the immediate future and that's what we did. Moreover, enrolling to Dividend Solar was super easy. The solar company sent me a link and I filled out some information. I also did the direct withdrawal for payments which I set it up quick and easy. It was nice to have everything like that in place before the solar got installed. I also liked the fact that the interest rate was lower than anything else we were looking at. The additional warranty feature, a little extra protection in case something went wrong, was a big decision factor for me as well. I'm very satisfied.

I am a foreman from a solar installation company for Dividend Solar and I wanted to find out about getting one started on my home. Enrolling to Dividend Solar was really easy. I just gave my credit score and my income, got pre-approved, and then verified that. The Locus Energy monitor was a pain to install but overall I'm satisfied with it.

Acquiring solar energy service was something that I looked into when we purchased the house so I had already started the home warranty. It was the thing that threw me over the edge and so far that decision has done good. It was easy to sign up with Dividend Solar. They took care of everything with the electric company. The only problem was that the electric company took their time. But when we have a problem with the equipment in the beginning they came right out and fixed it, so no problems. Called their Service team twice and everything went great. In general, everything went exactly the way they told me it would and they are very nice and friendly.

We're also very satisfied with our decision to go solar because everything was smooth in saving up and it was definitely a good set up.

We've been very happy with Dividend Solar. It's working well. Their enrollment process was not difficult. The only thing is we didn't get the skirt that is supposed to be installed. Our neighbor just had their solar done last week also by Dividend Solar and theirs have the skirt. Ours didn't and I don't know why. I intend to pay it off in a couple more months but right now I'm waiting for them to give me the skirt. Overall, it’s doing a good job.

We moved out here from Minnesota and figured with the location and everything else, there'd be no reason I'd pass a solar install. We went through a home show and that's when we first learned about Dividend Solar. Enrolling with them was pretty simple. It didn't take very long to contact them. They came out, went through a couple of questions, and installed it in. Putting it on went well, they've done a good job. My experience with them has been pretty good. Everything's working fine. Right now, we are really satisfied. No problem at all. My interaction with customer service is good so far. We were done for about a month. After I put it online I needed to have them come out and walk through it with me. But other than that, we're in good shape.

I got tired of our electric company continuing to raise rates and gauges so I looked into solar energy. I heard about a rebate that our electric company was offering in our state so I decided to apply and ended up getting approved. It was a little rocky getting everything in and finalized but now that everything's up and running, I'm satisfied. I didn't really have to do much because Dividend Solar is good at minimizing the amount of involvement from the customer which is nice. It's still a little early to say but the last bill I had, I saved $100 and that's good.

There was also one person from the customer service who was really nice and easy to work with and answered all our questions quite promptly. We've only had Dividend Solar for about a month and a half now but we're very pleased. I'm very happy with with my decision to go solar. Enrolling with them was very simple. They did all the work and sent me all the information. I even I asked them to bring down my interest rate a little bit, and their rep actually did it, because I told him I had a tax credit so I should deserve a better interest rate. He got me down a few points and it made a big difference.
Their Customer Service team are perfectly courteous. I was on the phone with them two days ago. I was trying to find out about the tax credit, and the guy said, "I'm not a tax person," but he explained it to me a little bit clearly because at first I didn't really understand it. They're very helpful. I've called them probably about six times since the solar has been installed, and they'd answered every one of my questions.
From my experience with Dividend Solar, there are two things: One is that they actually work with you. The other one is that with all the other solar providers, when your interest rate goes up, if you don't pay your tax credit, it stays up. With Dividend Solar, if you pay your tax credit, your interest rate goes back down to the original percentage rate.

I'm satisfied with my decision to go solar. So far, so good. It's saving me lots of money. I'm giving it to Dividend Solar instead of the electric company. Enrolling with Dividend Solar was a little messy at the beginning only because it was my fault, I had misunderstood. When I first talked to the guys about it, we talked prices and it was done by email. They didn't state Dividend, they didn't state Credit Union, they just gave me some options. The option that I took was the cheapest one over the longest period of time which was the most expensive way to go. But I'm looking at balancing. I'm right on the cusp of whether solar is a good deal or not for me but they didn't say what was. Suddenly I'm with the Credit Union and the cost are a lot higher. Interest rates were low but the monthly cost was going to be a lot more than what I was paying on an average for the electric bills.
So I switched and said, "No, this isn't what I want, I want something else." But nobody said here's Dividend Solar and this is what they can do. Once it was set up, it's fine, it went smoothly. But that was the good, just the beginning. It wasn't made really clear to me. I told them what I wanted and I didn't get a real clear answer. At that same time, there was this big upset apparently with the company. The install was delayed. Everybody that I needed to talk was gone from the company. I was very frustrated with the whole process and I'm still with the Credit Union. I've called them and said, "I want another way, I want out." I'm getting, "Oh, yeah." "Sure." "Fine." But I'm still a member even if it's not costing me anything.
My biggest mess with the whole process from installs to purchasing and payment was the lack of communication. They said that I could pay it off earlier if I wanted to. I get notified every month of amount that's coming out of my account for payment and there's a link that says I can add an additional payment to it. The link is not active. There's no way that I can add payment. This is all going to interest, it's not going to any principal. I want to start paying the principal down but I can't figure out how to do it online. Otherwise, it's great. It will come out in the wash most probably.
