On 12/11/12, I dropped off three scripts and asked the pharmacist if he could finish filling my blood pressure medication. One pharmacist checked to see if the three scripts were available. He stated that he could fill the ** but the ** would have to be ordered and if they got it in, it would be available on Sat. (12/15/12). I stated okay, I wanted to pick up the ** and blood pressure med that day. On Tues., 12/11/12, I went back well beyond the time that I was told I could pick up the meds, and they were not ready. I stated I would come back in an hour or so. I went back, got those two meds and asked pharmacist Fred if he was going to be working on Sat, when I would come pick up the other two scripts.

On Sat., I called the pharmacy and was given the automated answer that one prescription was being processed, so I requested to talk to someone. Representative stated they were filling the one script. Then I requested to talk to the pharmacist Fred. Fred answered and I asked if the ** came in. He stated no. I said I would be down in a few minutes to pick up the prescription, and he said okay.

Long story short, I got down there and after waiting for several minutes, he tried to give me the script that was being processed. I stated I want the one that didn't come in. And he told to me to wait. (He was on the phone both times he approached me.) He came back and again tried to hand me the script that was being processed. I pushed it back and said, "No, the other one." Fred then said, "I gave the prescription back to you!?" Really? What is going on at Walgreens?

Walgreens spams Alzheimers patient's cell phone: I got a cell phone call from 402-220-1247. It was a 2-minute commercial for Take Care clinics. At the end, it says press 1 to have any question answered. I pressed 1, got put on hold for 2 more minutes, and then a recording comes on that states no one is available to answer my call, and it hangs up. I have never been to a Take Care clinic and my only contact with Walgreens was to fill prescriptions. I called Take Care clinics to get my number removed from their call list and was told they could not do that unless I gave them even more personal info. I argued that all they need is the phone number but they insisted I provide my name and email address. I made up a name and hopefully that should suffice. When I asked to be reimbursed for the cell charges, they passed the buck and suggested I call Walgreens. This cell phone is used solely for communication for anyone who needs to contact me regarding the Alzheimer's patient. It seems they don't care. They are stealing money from someone who is disabled. Beware of Walgreens and Take Care clinics.

I was sent to Walgreens pharmacy to pick up a script for my sister. As I waited in the drive thru, I watched the pharmacist cough in his hand, wipe his nose and then open a pill vial, dump the drugs in the same hand and count the meds and put the drugs back in the vial for some poor patient to consume the contaminated drugs. It made me sick to see this. I had asked the tech why he put the drug in his hands and he said he had to count them. The whole bunch needs to be fired. This all happened at the Bad Axe, Michigan Walgreens.

The electric lift reclining chair welds were not welded. I talked with Walgreens and they said they would set up to pick this up. After numerous attempts, nothing has happened. This has been going on since July. It's time someone steps up and takes responsibility. I got a list of managers' names who have not done their jobs. I had one manager hang up on me when I was trying to get help because the truck driver was here to take it, but Walgreens didn't follow up with the trucking co. with the correct paperwork. I did what I was asked to do from Walgreens and put the RA # on the box. Per Walgreens' manager, he said that was all I had to do. The driver waited while I called Walgreens and the customer service hung up.

I switched my prescriptions from CVS to Walgreens and have since had nothing but issues obtaining my prescription on time and consistently poor customer service. My doctor electronically sent a prescription to this Walgreens and when I went to pick up the prescription, the very inexperienced pharmacy tech told me they had no records of this at any Walgreens. I had the doctor resend the prescription. I received multiple automated voice and text messages that my prescription was ready, then delayed for no apparent reason. I picked up the prescription. Now when I went to pick up a refill of the same prescription, after waiting 20 minutes at the drive-thru, I was told the insurance would not cover it because it was early.

My doctor specifically sent a note stating that I needed this medication taken continuously for medical reasons. I never had an issue refilling this prescription at CVS, which leads me to believe it is not my insurance's fault but Walgreens. I definitely regret taking my business here and will go back to being a CVS customer despite it being farther from my home. I will not recommend Walgreens to anyone due to the horrible customer service and hassle they have put me through.

I have a complaint about the store #14356 located on 325 N. End Ave., New York, NY. I went to develop about 950 pictures. I paid $201 for it with taxes. The photo lab person gave me 528 pictures. I thought that was all. I went home and I saw that half of my pictures are missing, but I paid for all! I went back today (11/17/2012) around 10am. The manager was there to "help" me, but rather, he was on the phone with his buddy. So I have to wait for him! He was very rude and kept checking his phone for text or something when I told him what my problem was. He is a younger Hispanic or something guy. Then he called the photo lab person and told her that "Here is the person who's missing the pictures, and she (I) knows that she is missing them." What does that mean? Why didn't they call me if they know that they have made a mistake?

Then after a long waiting because he spent so much time on the phone, he said he can't print my missing pictures because it's not in the system. The system only show that they didn't print them! He offered to print them or refund. He want to pay me only $63 (?). But I paid $201 and I'm missing nearly half of my pictures! I said print them because I'd deleted them from my memory card! He said they don't have my pictures in file! I lost pictures of my BFF's wedding, pictures of a trip to Atlantis and pictures of a European trip! It's gone! I can't get them back! I've deleted them because I thought it's a trusted company and they won't screw me! They did! I'm devastated! You should be ashamed of your staff and your "printing business"!

I have called Walgreens at 1-877-250-5823 and even went by my own personal Walgreens here in Morristown, TN asking that this be taken care of. They did quit calling my cell phone from the 877-250-5823 but have now started sending texts from 21525 every day! I have replied to their texts stating ‘stop’ per their suggestion listed on my cell phone but it is not working. I have never signed up for Walgreens texts/calls concerning any prescriptions. I live alone and have only a Safelink phone for emergencies with very few minutes. Their constant texting is wiping out my minutes.

I have been a Walgreens customer since the 1970s and have always been happy with their service in the extreme. I've never encountered anything, but the best service from their store personnel. And many times, they've gone out of their way to help me. But I had Polio in the 1950's and now have "Post-Polio". So for the last 10 years, I have required a good number of pain and other medications and am now on Medicare. Last year, for the first time, I fell into the "Donut Hole" where Medicare quits paying anything for drugs. Unable to understand why this could happen, and after having to pay over $3,000 out of pocket with deductibles and such, I went to Wal-Mart and compared their prices with Walgreens’. I was in shock. Walgreens had been charging me almost exactly 200% what I'd have been paying if I'd been going to Wal-Mart.

To find out that Walgreens had been charging me, over a period of many years, what I'd have been paying somewhere else was shocking. I then called my local independent pharmacy and had them compare their prices with Walgreens; and their prices, which I expected to be high, were still only 75% of Walgreens. If I were still working and on a good insurance policy, I'd probably have taken my business there, as I like to support local businesses as much as possible. But now every penny is important to me and I'm now a customer of Wal-Mart. I do not especially like Wal-Mart's business model, but I can't afford to throw several thousand dollars away yearly. If you are a customer of Walgreens Pharmacy, please do a price comparison as I did. You may be amazed. It also makes me wonder how much of an impact their high prices have on health care costs in our nation and what would happen if Medicare were allowed to negotiate drug prices.

I picked up my prescription after work and it was dark outside. I had been out for a couple of days so in my vehicle, I opened the bottle and took one pill. After I arrived home, I noticed the pill was a little bigger and a totally different color. I do get generic and thought maybe it was a different manufacturer. Well it was the same and when I used a pill identifier, it turns out what they gave me is twice the dosage. This is a sensitive medication and the overdose side effects are listed as needing immediate medical treatment! I called Walgreen's and after (literally) a 23-minute hold, I told the pharmacist what happened and he challenged me in that I was mistaken.

After I advised of my research, he said, "Sorry, we will exchange it for you." He did not even acknowledge the fact that I was having negative side effects. I also manage arthritic pain with ** and on more than one occasion, I have run out early. Two years ago I started double counting them and sure enough, I was getting shorted by 7-10 pills every few months. Nice control on the controlled substance! If the pharmacy is skimming that much from just me, how many others are they doing this to and where are they going? It does not take a genius to figure that out.

This is the worst customer service. Every time I go, the ladies working are extremely rude. I understand it can be a tough job dealing with a lot of angry people, but do not treat everyone like they are stupid and wrong if they have a question. I simply asked what refills were in the system for me, and within a minute or so of hearing her snippy attitude, I walked away feeling like an idiot, like I got no answer. Also, after they got rid of their "drop off" window, I've been thinking about going to another pharmacy. So, I have to wait in a long line of people just to hand in my prescription? Then, come back and wait some more? I don't know who thought of that one. No more quick errands like "I just have to drop off a prescription really quickly!" because that is not the case. You'd think after having people wait so long, they could be a little more friendly too? I used to really like Walgreens. Now I'm just disappointed.

I took three packages of Quattro Razors (they had an ad; buy one package, get the second one half off). She rang them up, and I presented her a coupon I had buy one Quattro Package, get one free. The clerk told me the 50% off coupon would be the free one. I paused a moment and said “No, I get this third one free.” She said, “The coupon says buy one and get one free, not buy two get one free.” I stood there floored and asked for the manager. So the assistant manager came over, maybe 19 years of age, and said I would have to buy a 4th package to get the one free. I went through it all again.

At this point, I was trying hard to maintain my annoyance. They argued with me until I finally asked for the manager’s number. He went, “I am the manager”; I said, “No, you are the assistant store manager.” He said, “I can give you the Corporate number.” I said, “No, I want to talk to the store manager.” He said he will be in tomorrow, wrote the store number down. I wrote his name down, I went to ask the clerk and she had the nerve to say no first, the manager told me her name. This was the most proof our youth are morons anymore. So over a $9.99 Quattro Razor to be free, they made me so angry that I took my over $100 worth of items putting them back. As I did this, I heard the manager and the clerk talking about me to people in line as well as just to themselves. I left and went to another store where I spent over $100. Walgreens used to put the customer first. But over the last year, this location has turned into a bunch of monkeys including the pharmacy. Needless to say, I am calling their store manager today.

I had a coupon for a $25 gift card to transfer a prescription to the Walgreen pharmacy. The store was closer to my home so I figured I would start transferring them. I am so happy that I only did 1 that had a low co-pay. When I went to the store for my prescription, I was told that I could not receive the $25 gift card because my BCBS was federal gov't. A couple of my co-pays are over $100 so I figured it would help me. I contacted Walgreen on live-chat and asked what the deal was and was told that it was a law. Well when the gov't pays 100% of my insurance, then they can do what they want. But when the the gov't only covers 1/2 and the rest is out of my pocket, what gives them the right to exclude - to have federal workers excluded? I asked the Walgreen chat person whose pocket does the $25 come out of: the insurance, the gov't, or out of Walgreen’s pocket? It comes out of Walgreen’s pocket. How convenient that Walgreen gets the transfer and it saves them from dishing out a $25 gift card. What will happen? Will the gift card police shut them down for giving a customer a gift card? They need to put that in large print on their website and not in small print on the coupon.

I went to the store today, 10/17/2012, at 12 pm. I parked my car at the 42-28 Main Street, Flushing, NY store parking lot. I walked across the street for less than 2 minutes to pick up my lunch and came right back to purchase ** and candies. As soon as I walked right back, I saw my car already on the tow car. I was told to pay $125 to get my car back. I think it was not a fair treatment. I called the police. I still have to pay $62 to get my car back or else I will have to get the car back from Brooklyn for $125! It would be reasonable if I left for longer than 5 minutes! It does not make sense if I want to get Tylenol, park my car at Duane Reade, and then find parking again across the street to pick up lunch.

I think we do need to do things that do not make sense from now on! I honestly tell everyone who read this that I do want to make that Tylenol purchase! If the tow company person waited 5 minutes, I would have proven that I am making that purchase! As a loyal customer, I will never go back and make any purchase again. I will change my pharmacy for prescription drugs. This pharmacy is taking advantage of customers!

Today, I received the worst customer service experience from a Walgreens Pharmacy representative by the name of Kim at the 3326 W Mercury, Hampton VA store location. I am still in shock. Kim was extremely rude, arrogant, and very condescending towards me. I called Walgreens to refill my prescription, and a representative by the name of Kim answered my call. I gave her my request, and she asked for my prescription number, which I did not have at that moment; she then told me to hold. I held the line for approximately 5 minutes and then I heard my call taken off hold, then was promptly disconnected.

I called back and I got Kim again. I expressed my frustration about being put on hold and getting hung up on. She gave no apologies and showed no concern, but simply asked for my date of birth. After confirming my refill, I asked who I could file a complaint with. She said in a very condescending tone that her manager would be in the next day. I then told her to never mind, and that I would contact corporate in order to file a complaint, at which point she proceeded to laugh and began giving me a phone number to contact corporate.

Kim made me feel very low and powerless as a customer. The situation I went through with her happened at 12:10 PM. It's now 4:20 PM and it still weighs heavily on my heart and makes me sick to my stomach. I am reporting this because it really would be painful to have another customer go through the same ordeal as I did with Kim. There is a CVS and two Rite Aids within walking distance of this Walgreens which I could easily go to for my prescriptions, but I have been using Walgreens for 15 yrs and I've never had a customer service problem until today. I am reluctant to call that Walgreens pharmacy for future prescription refills or for anything else, because I'm afraid Kim will pick up the phone. It was definitely a nightmare.

How can you, in good conscience, ignore the needs of our service men and women as well as retired veterans? Military people deserve our respect and concern - after all, they are fighting for this country and our freedom. I would have thought they would have been the top priority when you formerly did accept Tricare and even after you accepted Express Scripts clients once again in 2012. I am very saddened and disappointed that Walgreens are not helping our veterans. Thwarting doctors refill prescription/collusion in disservice - On 9/6/12, I received a prescription refill for ** 15 mg from my pain doctor (I have multiple lumbar & cervical protruded/herniated discs) only to discover the following day that my prior source pharmacy would no longer be filling the prescription. During this 9/6/12 doctor's appointment, I met another patient who is on morphine as well, and through which I learned her source pharmacy was Walgreens at 13698 SW 8th Ave. On the morning of 9/14/12, I went to Walgreens store #6013 and presented my prescription for morphine together with my doctor's 9/6/12 appointment/business card and driver's license. After taking my prescription, the pharmacist said she would check to see if they had the medication in stock. When she returned, she said they didn't have it in stock and handed me back my prescription - without offering to order it for me.

At that point, I informed the pharmacist that I had information that this particular Walgreens was a source pharmacy for ** as I was personally acquainted with a patient from my pain doctor office who gets their ** here. The pharmacist left the counter again and this time when she returned she said, "It appears we do have ** in 30 mg tablets, but in very limited quantities." When she said that I told her I take two 15 mg tablets or 30 mg per day, that in order to get my prescription filled there, I would be willing to go back to the doctor and ask him to modify the prescription to 30 mg tablets. I didn't think he would have a problem with that being that source suppliers for ** are so apparently few and far between.

During that time, she was running my name through the computer and viewing my Walgreens drug prescription profile and discovered that ** was not listed as a drug/prescription that Walgreens had filled for me before. She proceeded to ask me what pharmacy had been filling my ** prescription and wanted to know why I was bringing it to Walgreens instead of taking it to them. It was at that point that I told the pharmacist that the prior source pharmacy had told me they would not be filling prescription anymore, without explanation. The pharmacist went on to tell me my prescription couldn't be filled anyway as FDA records showed the 15th as the date a 30-day date that it could be refilled. I told her that was fine, I was not out, and that I would be willing to wait, come back, and pick it up when it was ready.

At that point she handed me back the prescription and I asked her, "Well, did you place an order for me for the 15mg tablets, or should I go back to my doctor and ask him to modify my prescription to 30 mgs so that I can get it filled here?" Then she said, "I will try to order it," and I said, "Excuse me, you will try to order it? "You are going to order a drug for me after I leave the store and yet sent me out of the door without retaining prescription?!" I said, "To my knowledge and understanding, you are not obligated to order any medication in my behalf without retaining the prescription?!" She said, "It will not be in before next week, and we are not allowed to keep a prescription for longer that 10 days."

When she said that, I reminded her that the date was the 9th, my due date was the 15th, which was less than a week and 10 days. At that point, she said I would have to accept in good faith that she would order the ** in 15 mg tablets on my behalf, and that she would call me when it came in. At that time, I requested her to put the order in while she had my information up on the computer screen and before I leave the store - and she printed out some paper that had ** 15 mg tablets written therein but my name was nowhere written there upon. In between and during my attempt to get this prescription filled, the pharmacist wanted to know if I had visited the nearest Walgreens to this particular store and I told her no, that I had previously went through the motions of presenting my morphine prescription to Walgreens stores throughout Miami-Dade County when I first got the prescription to no avail.

Moreover, I told her I had previously contacted Walgreens Corporate in an attempt to get an address or referral for a Walgreens in Miami-Dade where I could get my prescription filled only to discover, to my profound dismay, that Walgreens Corporate does not provide such store/drug-source information! Additionally, I had told her that I had information or otherwise reason to believe that this particular Walgreens was purportedly one or the only exclusive or readily available source of ** in Miami-Dade County - to which she took exception, vehemently denied, and repeatedly insisted that I was misinformed on the subject matter. She did telephone one nearby pharmacy in an attempt to show me that she was trying to help me, but she wouldn't go beyond that to help me locate a Walgreens pharmacy where my morphine prescription could be filled.

From the very beginning, I sensed that this Walgreens pharmacist had made up her mind that she didn't want to provide pharmacy service to me based upon: 1) the type of medication I was receiving; and 2) I happened to be non-Hispanic, an African-American. The social, economic and racial demographic of the local community surround this particular Walgreens is pro-Hispanic, anti-black, and promotes a culture of disservice to outsiders and/or so-called undesirables. When I told the pharmacist that I was going to file a complaint against her to Walgreens corporate if she sent me out of the store with the prescription without ordering the **, she became irate, defensive, loud and very emotional so as to convey distress, coral support of colleagues and other Hispanic people in the store to let me know their will and their way would prevail over the facts and evidence of disservice.

On 9/14/12, I placed a call to my doctor's office and related the whole experience I had been subjected to in an attempt to get my prescription filled at Walgreens on the 9/9/12. Further, I asked her to call the pharmacist and to ask her in my behalf if Walgreens had ordered and was going to fill my ** prescription. The administrative assistant reluctantly agreed to call Walgreens on my behalf as she said she wasn't supposed, and for me to call her back in five minutes for the answer. Well, as things turned out, the doctor's administrative assistant ended up talking to the pharmacist and/or her colleagues for more than 45 minutes, never called me back as promised and/or related to me outcome or substance of the phone call supposedly on my behalf. As it turned out, the only message the doctor's administrative assistant had for me was to bring the prescription back in.

On the afternoon of 9/14/12, I took the prescription back to my pain doctor's office and turned it over to the administrative assistant. Some two hours later, she brought a new prescription for a new drug out to me without having the prior benefit of consultation with the doctor and/or giving the original ** prescription back to me to give me the opportunity to see if I could get it filled at another chain or independent pharmacy. As soon as I looked at the prescription and saw that my medication had been changed and that in the process Walgreens had been helped off the hook regarding their commitment to order the medication for me, I was so disappointed and frustrated I put the new prescription back through the window from which it had been handed to me, vocalized my thoughts and feelings on the matter and then walked out.

On 9/17/12, I called the administrative assistant of my pain doctor to request to be able to come back there and pick the prescription up. She told me she would talk to the doctor and call me back, which she hasn't. As of yesterday, I am out of ** without a substitute to prevent me from going through withdrawals. I have reason to believe that the doctor's administrative assistant has orchestrated the closing of my medical service file without notifying me and leaving me without a source of service or supply of medication.

I went to pick up my refill at Walgreens in the drive-thru. I was told by the tech that they had to give me two different manufactures because they didn't have enough and that they divided the 2 manufactures of the pills by cotton (all in the same bottle, with my name and my prescription on it). I began feeling ill and a couple of days later, I could not figure out what was going on and something told me to look up the pill that Walgreens told me was the same pill, just a different manufacturer.

Guess what, it wasn't my pill, it was a ** and I was not taking the pill that I need to take, and that is why I felt sick. Walgreens admitted that they made a mistake, stated that the bottle wasn't marked properly and this is why I got the wrong pill. I was told this by the tech, pharmacy manager, district manager and Sedgwick. They think that they can just give me $800.00 and I will go away. I suffered in pain for a week because of their mistake, and my husband missed a week of work. Walgreens thinks they can do whatever they want and never have to pay for it.

I went to Walgreens and took a medication that requires prior authorization. When I went to the pharmacy, I was told it was refused by the insurance. I called my insurance carrier and they stated they had not heard from Walgreens. I went back to Walgreen and had my letter of authorization with me. The young tech assisting me was busy texting on her iPhone, playing games and was upset that I interrupted her. She said it was refused again. Finally, I reached the pharmacy manager and was told that he would call the insurance carrier. I have had to have partial refills at $10/pill. He stated that he would get it worked out and call me back, and get me a refund for the out of pocket expenses. He called and said that the insurance company told him it was authorized, but he couldn't run it through.

The pharmacy manager stated he would call me back in a few minutes, let me know when to pick up the prescription and that they would have a check for me for the overage I paid. I have not heard back, called corporate and am again waiting for a phone call. My physician advised me if they don't fill the prescription, I may have to be hospitalized in order to stabilize. Who is going to pay for this hospitalization? Currently, Walgreens owes me approximately $400 and while this isn't a huge sum, it is substantial when coming out of a tight budget in hard economic times. This seems to be standard operating procedure for this Walgreens, as I have heard other patients telling me the same thing. They are billed for full price and then told they will be refunded for any overage paid.

I will go into convulsions and seizures, so it's nothing to play around with. Apparently, someone saying they will call back is simply a ploy to get you to pay full price, instead of the discounted price the pharmacy gets from insurance. They pad their bottom line by forcing people to pay full cost. I am frustrated and worried that I will be hospitalized and Walgreens chooses to do nothing. For all you using Walgreens, I wish you the best. The company is heartless, has techs that play games and text on iPhones instead of helping customers, could not care less about the patient, and just try to inflate the bottom line.

I assumed there was a cash register at the photo center. When I looked back and saw that there was a cash register, I asked the clerk why she had sent me to the other cash register with a long line. There was no line at the photo center. She stated that she had another customer. It would have taken only a few seconds to ring me up. Poor service all the way around.

I am new with medicare. I just started with a new prescription insurance coverage. I broke my foot and could not go pick up a prescription. I called Walgreens Lakewood 117 and Detroit pharmacy and spoke to the manager, plus the pharmacist around 9PM last night. They said all was ready and the only thing my friend, who was driving from about 35 minutes to pick this up and bring it for me, that I must give him some info so they screen him to release the Rx. They assured all my insurance policies were entered and nothing would bar my friend from picking this up.

My friend called me from the pharmacy telling me they would not release the Rx. A new pharmacist was on duty. I spoke to him asking what was the problem. He said a balance of about $42 was due. I was not told of this by the prior pharmacist, as he reassured everything was in order and nothing would hold this up. My friend had not brought his wallet and had no money, so I asked the pharmacist to take my credit card over the phone. He said the policy is not to accept cards over the phone and said I must stop in to swipe the card. He was aware I could not move and this is why my friend came to pick up this Rx. I asked him if the prior pharmacist has advised about this transaction and he said no. He felt it was not the responsibility of the prior pharmacist to advise him of any future pickups.

I complained that this was a situation of negligence and he said that this was not the case whatsoever and could care less that this situation took place. I then spoke to the same supervisor who had facilitated this transaction earlier with the prior pharmacist and she was surprised that the first pharmacist did not advise that there was a copay and that I just send cash with my friend or have him bring his money so he could pick this up, and then I could refund him later. This is a major lack of communication from your pharmacists and the fact that the second pharmacist could care less speaks volumes of negligent patient care from these professionals.

As a physician, we have been trained to be most careful in every minute detail. If one writes 100mg ** IV shot for a patient, a good nurse, before injecting this will call asking if there was some typo and save a patient's life. This, for a couple of zeroes, can make the difference of a life. If the pharmacists there fail to note something as huge as a $45 or so copay and failed to advise me of the requisites of how to take steps to pick this Rx, all this situation could have been avoided. If a huge detail as that is missed, can you imagine how much more subtle can so easily be missed by these two pharmacists?

This speaks volumes of how negligent these two are. The second one felt there was really nothing wrong with any of this situation and snickered. This angered me to the point where I called the manager complaining about this. I then asked her to give me a phone number for consumer complaints and the number she gave me was 1-800Walgreens. That phone does not work. Because of this, I turned to this internet site to enter this complaint. I have not picked up the Rx yet because I am still bedridden and my friend can't go pick this up today. I request a written explanation about this please.

My husband lost a week's worth of ** and the drug company did an override and fill a whole 120-pill prescription, causing real problems. The next month it came due, they refused to fill, said it was too soon, and had to do a second override in order to fill it. By August, 3rd month, too soon to fill after 30 days. Again, we were recommended that we purchase the week's worth of pills for cash to get us through to the following week, when the refill would go through. Now the problems with Walgreens in Pennsville began.

I called the pharmacy and explained the situation, which they were well aware of anyway and said I needed to purchase the necessary pills. This is a controlled substance, so they refused to sell them to me even though our drug company, Medco, had told me to do so. I didn't know what to do but in 2 days, my husband was in full blown withdrawal. I looked up the medicine's withdrawal symptoms, saw that he could go into seizures and die. He already has a history of seizures, so I called Medco and asked their pharmacist what to do. He suggested we call the doctor. We did and he called Walgreens then ordered the meds.

Immediately, I drove right over to the Pennsville Walgreens to pick it up and again, they refused to fill it stating that they needed to speak to the doctor personally and that he wouldn't be back in the office until Wednesday! This was Monday! I called the doctor back immediately from the parking lot and he called them and again, ordered the meds. Again they refused to fill it. This medication cannot be stopped cold turkey and especially after being on it for years. They have to know this. We ended up getting it from another pharmacy and we are taking all of our prescriptions out of Walgreens. I wouldn't so much as buy a piece of paper from them ever again!

The way they treated me was unforgivable. I could see if it was a pain medication that is taken as needed, but this is a medication that has to be taken 4 times a day every day! They were always good to us until this, but I will never go back there once our prescriptions are out of there!

When your children go to school and there's a new substitute teacher, pretty much they color all day and wait for their regular teacher to return. Walgreens appears to run their pharmacies with a large supply of crayons. One is left to wonder if they always "Have to order that" because credit for Walgreens is tight. Do their suppliers limit them or stop delivering until they get paid? Does Walgreens ever just fill something? I was amazed when attempting to fill a standard prescription. After waiting 10 minutes with no response at the drive-up window, I parked and went inside to discover three employees coffee clatching.

The substitute sauntered to the counter, annoyance evident at being disturbed. "Okay," he said, "I'll fill this this time, but next time you have to take (fill in other drug brand-cheaper for them, useless for me)". My response? Envision a whisper, a wiggling finger, and pointing out of the window. "See that over there?" pointing to the competitor. "How many of those do you think there are in, say, 1/4 mile?" "I don't know," he replied. "Maybe thirty? Forty, even?" I said. "I don't have a clue," he said, posturing. Annoyed again. "Me neither," I quipped, not whispering now, "But next time, you won't have to be disturbed. One of those folks will fill this just as the doctor wrote it." Envision color draining from his face.

To the store-not pharmacy-manager's credit, he called the day after to see why my family's (live-in 80+ mother-in law, four children, husband's, and my) prescriptions were moved across the street. He apologized several times and then offering to have the young man from the night before drop the items off anytime if it would be more convenient. Funny, though. The folks next door just put the stuff, the right stuff, in the bottles and I drove away in a few minutes. No crayons.

The first incident was when I count the pills, it was short by two. I called the pharmacy and let them know. They gave me additional two tablets on my next visit. The second incident was that it was short again and from that time they put markings on the bottle: “double count/count in front of her.” For months it was okay as I always picked up from the drive-thru, count it when I get home and it's okay. But this time, 8/6/2012, refills were picked up again at the drive-thru. I counted it when I got home and it was short again. For a family of 5 with prescriptions filled at Walgreens, the only meds that are being counted short are my Schedule II sleeping pills. I called the pharmacy again and she called back the next day claiming my daughter who picked up from the drive-thru said ‘no’ when asked to count in front of her. She also said, “You have to pick up inside so we can count in front of you.”

So I told her picking at the drive-thru is more convenient for us, but you want us to come inside instead of making sure all of your pharmacy staff will do a competent job. She told me I am the only one complaining for getting shortage. Yes, probably because I am the only one double-counting the pills. I also mentioned to her that I was a pharmacy technician for 11 years in Hawaii, so I know the job and never shorted anyone because we can't dispense (only the pharmacist after he/she checked it). She never said they will replace the shortage this time and never said sorry. Again, I told her I am going to use another pharmacy. Her answer: "That's good, too.” This is a message to Walgreens pharmacy customers: always count your pills because they are incompetent or are stealing from you because my experience was repeatedly done on my Schedule II meds, not on the other meds.

When I approached the counter, the registers were all empty with no employees. There was one employee selecting gum for purchase. He asked the security officer if there was any gum on sale; he said no. Then he called someone to maintain the front while he went on a break. Two other customers were now waiting for the register to be occupied by an employee for check out.

The employee went ahead of me, so I politely asked if employees always purchase before customers. He quickly apologized and stepped to the side. This is where it gets crazy. The security in a very loud authoritative tone said that the reason for the employee doing it was because I was not in the correct section where the line starts. I quickly turned around and told him his opinion was not necessary as it didn't add value to the circumstances. He yelled and I said to him that the customer is always right and that his actions were obnoxious. The other customers were shocked!

He then proceeded to inform the cashier to give me back my money and for me to get the hell out of the store. I was shocked, embarrassed by his actions and couldn't believe the manager that was on the side stood in silence. I laughed, continued my purchase and he said he was going to pray for me because my kind of people need prayer. I am an educated Latino who has a college degree with a solid career. So my kind of people didn't sit right with me and suggested for him to go get an education. Both my mother and my niece counted them. There should have been 60 but there were only 30. The box was checked, which means that the count was double checked. They called the pharmacy back, in which they gave her the remaining 30.

This happened one other time but my mother was not accompanied by anyone. She contacted the pharmacy insisting that they did not give her all of her medication. Why Walgreens is failing as a company? It is no wonder that Walgreens’ stock has dropped so dramatically (it has lost nearly 40% over the past year and a half) recently! This company is one of the most poorly managed and poorly run companies out there. I am the head of one of the largest San Francisco based hedge funds, and I have traded exorbitant quantities of this stock. Thanks to a power-hungry, incompetent pharmacist, I will make sure my company (which manages 4 billion dollars) never buys Walgreens again. In fact, I will be shorting the hell out of the stock and that is my advice to all of you!

One of the pharmacists at a store in San Francisco was so unbelievably rude to my son today, and I am beside myself. I cannot believe Walgreens would be so irresponsible to employ someone like this. Someone who hates his job, hates his weak salary, and makes it his mission to ruin everyone else’s day and to outright insult his customers. My son, who is in chronic pain due to 5 slipped disks (we have three years of documentation detailing this), was basically called a "drug dealer" by this pharmacist. The pharmacist took his prescription and told my son that he wasn’t going to fill it. And when my son asked why, the pharmacist could not answer him

The pharmacist kept saying "Do you want me to call the cops" and my son remained very calm (I witnessed this whole thing FYI) and kept saying "What is wrong?" And the man kept this sick, twisted smile on his face the entire time as he proceeded to tell my son "he knew what he was doing" and that "he will get caught and go to jail". The man could not answer my son's simple question of what he did wrong. Why couldn’t he answer this question? Because my son has done nothing wrong! Yet he is made to feel like a criminal by this incompetent **. He started crying on the way home. He was so upset at the way he was treated and how he was humiliated in front of the entire store by this rude human being.

My son already hates the fact that he has to take pain meds at all. But due to his horrific pain, he has no choice. This man made him feel so much worse about himself, and he made him feel like he should be so ashamed that he needs these meds. I don’t want to sue or anything extreme like that, but I want this man fired. He was beyond unprofessional, and the creepy smile he kept on his face the whole time made him seem sociopathic. All in all, not only will I never go back to Walgreens, but I am also calling my health insurance company (the company that my hedge fund contracts with to provide health care to my 7,500 employees) to add a clause to our health care plan eliminating Walgreens as one of the contracting pharmacies. Two lessons to take away from this experience: 1) Never go to Walgreens pharmacy; and 2) Short Walgreens stock!

Pharmacy Complaint Store # 11105 - I moved to the Ocoee, FL area about a year ago. I have been a Walgreens customer for many years. When I lived in Orlando, I never had any problems with my neighborhood Walgreens location. The pharmacy staff was always very friendly and helpful. I have a pain medication prescribed to me for severe chronic headaches. The Orlando store which I used monthly for a long time never gave me any issues with that medication or any other medication I had to fill. However, the Ocoee, FL store located at 8802 W. Colonial Dr. has the worst pharmacy staff and customer service I have ever dealt with.

Two weeks ago, I had a major surgery, a hysterectomy where my uterus and cervix were taken out of my body. Needless to say, I was prescribed a pain medication while I am healing to help so I can be comfortable at home now that I am home and no longer in the hospital. I had a follow up appointment with my OB/Gyn today, July 18, 2012, to make sure I am healing well. She did many tests and also refilled my pain medicine. I took this prescription to the Walgreens on West Colonial in Ocoee and was treated like I am some kind of junkie.

First, the pharmacy lady whose name is ** questioned if the medicine was for me. I kindly said yes. She then proceeded to hold the prescription paper up to the light as if I had just given her a fake prescription. After she did that, she called my OB/GYN and asked if I was a patient there and if I was given the prescription. She was told that yes, I am a patient and, yes, I was seen today and given a medication refill for my pain medication. She didn't like that answer and told me I had to wait until the nurse called back on this medicine. I showed her my receipt from my visit this morning showing where I had paid my co-pay and it clearly showed the practice name and address which, of course, matched my prescription. This also was not good enough for her.

I went and sat down and called my OB/GYN office to try and find out what was going on. They were unsure and said they would speak to her. The pharmacist refused to speak to her and said they had to call her directly. My OB/GYN's office did not understand what the pharmacist's problem was. While I was on this call, the pharmacist asked me from behind the counter in front of other customers what exactly it was I had done to need this kind of medicine. I told her nicely that my condition is between me and my doctor but if it will speed things up, I just recently had a Hysterectomy. She gave me a nasty look and told me she would not fill my prescription until my nurse called.

I considered asking her if she wanted me to lift my shirt and show her my surgery incisions on my abdomen. However, I nicely said, "Okay, I will come back later when it is ready." About 20 minutes later, I got the text alert it was ready and returned to the Walgreens store. She again asked for all of my information, my driver's license and payment. She then tells me very nasty that she will not refill my medicine for me again from my OB/Gyn and not to return there with this type of prescription.

I was, needless to, say shocked at the treatment I was given. Sadly, this was not the first time I was treated horribly at this pharmacy. This is just the worst I was treated. I felt like because I am a mid-thirties white female and this lady is Asian, she discriminated against me. She treated me as if I were some kind of drug addict, and she was rude and nasty towards me about my medication in front of other customers. I have never been made out to feel like I am some kind of bad person before in my life. I personally do not feel she has any business being a pharmacist or dealing with customers. If you are someone who needs a good pharmacy, I would strongly advise avoiding this location. I will also be filing a formal complaint to the Walgreens Corporate office.

The manager made out like I stole my own medications that I have been on for 7 years and never had this problem. The manager named Clark made me feel like crap. I was treated rudely and I feel one of the pharmacist is stealing people's medications and nothing is going to be done about this because the manager rather think that I am a druggie than to actually find out what is going on.

I know this was wrong because last year, I received the same Rx from the same doctor, same Walgreens (2 boxes of 10 plus 4). What happened to the 4 syringes I did not get?

This is about the Pharmacy in the Walgreens located at 8200 Royal Palm Blvd., Coral Springs, FL 33065. I called the pharmacy on Thursday, June 21, 2012, asking if I could refill my pain medication that I have been getting there for almost a year now, as I have a severe back injury and it is difficult for me to just drive to the location and I do not want to make unnecessary trips. The pharmacist refused to tell me and said I had to come in.

So I put on my back brace and drive there. Sure enough, they said it is 1 day too soon. I said, "One day; isn't there a grace period of 2-3 days?" They said, "No, this is a controlled substance." I know what it is. I have been taking it for almost a year now, and I don't need to be told that it's very demeaning. So I said, "Fine, but can you please check you have in stock my ** 250mg, as this prescription is always a problem and it's never in stock, further delaying my refill." They said yes and that they would have the full amount and said they would scan my prescriptions and I could have it after 12. I said, "I would like it earlier if you are making me come back tomorrow." They said no. I said, "What if I'm the first person here at 9am, can I then get it by at least 10am?" They said, "No, we usually have a lot of prescriptions to fill in the mornings."

I was not happy at this point, so I left. The next morning, I came in and gave the prescriptions. And exactly as I thought, they don't have the full refill of my prescriptions, not even enough to get me through the weekend. Yet, they charge me for the full amount. I asked to speak with a manager, as this is unacceptable. At this point, he then did nothing but referred me to the pharmacist, who said, "How can I help you?" I explained the situation, and he said that someone came that morning and took the last of the medication I needed. I know he is lying. So I asked, "Why is it someone who has a severe back injury and has been coming here for almost a year cannot be given even 1-day grace period to refill their medications." He said that it's against the law to refill them any sooner than 30 days. I said, "Ok, show me where it says that." He could not, because there is no such law.

I said that is not the law and that it is up to the pharmacist's discretion how early to refill a prescription and to not even give me 1 day to avoid a problem like this is ridiculous. He finally agreed that yes, it's up to him and that he never refills anything under 30 days, which I believe also is a lie. If I were 80 years old, it would be refilled 2-3 days early minimum. But since I look very young, I am being treated like a criminal. He said it was what it was. I said that was an unacceptable answer. So he said, "What can I do for you now?" I said to fill my prescriptions. He said he couldn't and again said, "What can I do for you now?" I said nothing. He said, "Exactly." I said, "But yesterday, you could have helped me, but you decided not to, creating this issue."

So I said that I wanted to file a complaint. He said, "About what? Us not having the medication to fill your prescription?" I said, "No, about you refusing to refill my prescription 1 day early, causing this whole problem and now not even having enough medicine to get me through the weekend." He said, "That's your choice." This guy is completely unprofessional, uncaring, uncompassionate, and unwilling to help me in any way. And the manager sat there clueless as to what to do. I said, "How do I file a complaint?" He said that it's on the back of the receipt. I said that there was nothing there but the Walgreens's 1800 number. He said it's on the front then the store survey. I was like "That's it, no forms in store or anything." He said no.

I am very unhappy with the way this stored treated me, lied to me, and caused a problem that could have been avoided easily, but they chose not to and is creating additional pain and suffering to my already painful condition. They charged me the full amount, so I could not even go to another store to get the rest of my prescription. I tried, and they could not believe the guy did this to me. I will never refill any prescriptions there again and will tell anyone to avoid this store, as they just don't care. They are acting like god and withholding medication when people with severe injuries, like me, need valid prescriptions filled.

I then called Walgreens and talked to the pharmacist (6/21/2012). She said, "No! I will not rerun it because I figured your insulin would last you 37 days." She would not listen to me about the amount I use. I told her I use 93 units a day. She said, "Well, that is between you and your doctor." I told her that I use a lot of ** because I do not have a pancreas. Her answer was, "Well, you can bring one vial back." I told her that would be stupid because I would need another vial before the month was up and I would have to pay full price.

What does she want me to do? Cut a vial into two just to get exactly the right amount? She said, "We get audited by the insurance companies and I could get into a lot of trouble for giving you too much. You are supposed to only be on 82 units." I asked her to call my doctor and she said, "No! That is between you and your doctor." I told her I am going to move my 10 prescriptions somewhere else. She said okay. I definitely am moving them this week. They will be transferred.

Ever since Walgreens, I can’t catch a break. In August 2010, I was an employee at Walgreens, store 07832, I had notified my store manager, **, that I was moving soon and would like a transfer. The lease on my apartment was up soon and my rent was being raised, which I could not afford. I could not find another apartment that I could afford. I was barely making ends meet as it was. I had nowhere else to go except to my brother in Las Vegas, NV. My store manager put me back on probation, even though I had been working there for almost 2 years, and told me I had a to prove myself to him in order for him to get me a transfer. It is store policy that any Walgreens employee can transfer to any store anywhere approved by both managers.

I gave a 2 month notice, instead of a 2 week notice because I was put back on probation. I believe 2 months is more than enough time to call a few stores to arrange something. After a few weeks of no progress with my store manager, I began talking to the assistant managers I worked with as well called stores in the area of where I was moving. As my probation continued, I called out once since due to a family emergency and got a verbal warning which did not seem to affect my chances of getting a transfer, or as I thought.

A few days shy of a month before I was moving, I talked to my store manager of when my last day would be. With still no progress with a transfer, I still had to be out of my apartment one day after my last day at work. I left myself one entire day to pack up and clear out my apartment before I left California to Nevada. The night before I left for Nevada, I got a call from an assistant manager, that I was scheduled to work that night. I told the manager that the night before was my last night of work and I was flying out the next morning, and I had already cleared up things with the store manager beforehand. The assistant manager said "No call no show is an automatic termination."

I asked what I could do. I was in the middle of clearing out my apartment and packing for my flight the next morning. She told me there was nothing any one could do and call and talk to the store manager when I get to Nevada. This is what I did and was given the runaround for weeks. So, I started to look for another job. A few months later, I became a Patient Care Assistant. During 2011 tax season, I contacted Walgreens, store 07832, inquiring about my W2 and requested that my W2 to my current address. The response I got was “Well, that’s what you get when you leave store 7832”.

I did not receive my 2010 W2. I became so busy with work, 6-8 patients a day and 7 days a week. I completely forgot about my W2. Later in 2011, I called Walgreens payroll office to retrieve my W2 and failed, I did not receive anything. 2012 tax season, I again contacted Walgreens payroll office for my W2 and still didn’t receive anything. Now, I am trying to go to school and I cannot apply for financial aid because I couldn’t file my taxes. How much more is Walgreens going to be a hindrance in my life? I am at my breaking point!

They told her they would call her back when they had some information. They did not call her back. After 3 days, she called them back. They told her they would have to get it at a different warehouse because the one they tried did not have. They should have called her with this info 2 days earlier or at the very least, they should have contacted the other warehouse prior to my mother's phone call. To this day, she has not received any prescription from them and have had no calls from them. By this time her legs are hurting so bad she can hardly walk or even function. The potassium is what keeps that pain in check. I ended up ordering her some liquid potassium from my supplement supplier and had it to her within two days.

Walgreens did not care or even try for her. The pain she is in is excruciating and they don't care. The potassium I got for her will just be enough to catch her up now and it will take about another week before the pain will subside enough for her to function normally. This is absolutely, in my opinion, cruel and unusual punishment. Even dogs are treated better than this. I am very angry because of watching my mother try to deal with this pain. I have been the one to witness the tears and frustration. And to watch her try to walk is heart rending. Something needs to be done with the heartless people dealing with the elderly.

The first time I ordered this, it was held at UPS an extra day and when I received it, the gel pack had completely melted disintegrating the paperwork and the box of the medication. I contacted a Walgreens pharmacist who told me that I should not use the medication because it was exposed to temperatures above 90F (the ambient outdoor temperature was above 90F).

I called to try to get another prescription or return the medication and be refunded. I was told that I have to file a claim to be refunded after they receive the damaged medication and this may take a few weeks, so I should just have them ship the medication again. In this case, once UPS had the medication, a "flight delay occurred due to mechanical reasons," and it took 4 more days to receive the medication. I have called Walgreens 4 times, and have offered to exchange the medication at a Walgreens store and so far I have found no resolution. I am extremely disappointed with this service and have not found a resolution to this problem. This was a prescription of over $200 that I have now paid for and have not received.

I go to my local Walgreens at Glenwood Ave and Corner of Duraleigh Road. I had a really nasty customer service experience today. I had gone to the pharmacy in person last Wednesday, May 23 to get a refill request for my ** to be sent to my doctor. The pharmacy did give me 6 pills to last until today. I went out of town and got in today and called Walgreens to see if my refill was there as I always do and it was not. I spoke to an Adrian and I asked her if there was a refill for me. She said no. I said, "Well, I requested it last week." She said my doctor did not send it and she would re-fax the prescription.

At this point, I said OK and I called my doctor. They said they are 99% sure that they received no fax electronically last Wednesday or today. I called Walgreens back and talked to Adrian and told her that they had dropped the ball on my medication. Why do I have to go through all this just to get my prescription filled? So I'm telling Adrian how important it is to fill people's prescription because hello... people are sick and you never know how sick they are. I have to take ** everyday so it's not cool for them to not do their job in 6 days' time. That seems to be intentional at this point.

Well Adrian hung up on me. I called back and talked to some fill-in named Stephanie. After asking her what kind of customer service do they guys have, she hung up on me as well. I was being honest and all. She sat there and said it's not her job, she will make sure it gets done. Well what about Adrian hanging up the phone on me? She said she is a fill-in and can't do anything. Bottom line, Walgreens is hiring people that don't care about people. There are so many people out of work and would treat your customers so much better. Why do you hire these losers? Please let me know. You can do so much better. I will be switching pharmacies because obviously, Walgreens has no respect for me as a paying customer nor do they care whether I get my medication that I need or I would die.

I have been a customer of Walgreens from the time myself and my family moved to Parma in 2004. We have received our medication from Walgreens ever since we moved here, that is until the Veterans Administration (Tri-care) cancels the contract, stopping Walgreens from providing medication to Tri-care recipients. Even after the contract was cancelled, we continued to go there for all our regular necessities, and over-the-counter medication. Walgreens is our neighborhood drug store, and we are loyal to it, we take pride in it, there is no other way around it. The folks serving the medications are excellent representatives of Walgreens. They are very professional. On the other hand, the folks on the floor are more into harassing their customers than being professional, and this complaint is a typical example.

Over the past seven to ten visits over the past four months or more, every time I visited Walgreens, I have been harassed by mostly the employee who works in the photograph section of Walgreens. He is a multi-racial (half black and white or Hispanic) young gentleman perhaps in his 20s. There are other two females (white) who share the same harassment information because they do the same harassment gestures they take turns. The gesture comes in the form of “whistling”, this whistling is connected to a slander activity which is currently in a legal action (the gentleman knows the details that he received from his connections; he can give you the details). The first time it happened, I took it as innocent, because everybody whistles. The second time, as soon as he saw me, it automatically activate the whistling process. This time it was as loud as possible, and as close to me as possible so that I get the message.

The third gets worse, it seems that he has a way of knowing when I enter the store, and then he would come towards me and perform the routine. I eventually got the message, and I do what I was trained to do. As a private investigator, I automatically went to work, to get to the bottom. It was the easiest investigation I ever performed, because the culprits were busy enjoying their self-esteem building activities, they have no idea. I knew someone who knows someone who works at Walgreens on the floor, the perfect place. The person got in the action, and was given the “down and dirty” behind the whistling activities. When I arrived there, it was exactly what I have expected. It was the highlight of their day, at some point. I thought a supervisor knew about the activities, but cannot prove that. The next step, I gathered witnesses, to make sure that it happened in front of them. But without them knowing that they are my witnesses, and that’s because we don’t enter together, we don’t came in the same vehicle. It worked like a charm.

I had figured that the perpetrators were going to be smart to quit while they are ahead, but they were obsessed. It was then I knew that a heavy lawsuit would fix the problem, and this is the first step towards that initiative. One situation when I went there and had some witnesses, was when someone was giving out Plain Dealer newspapers. He offered me one, but I didn’t want it because I have already read it earlier. My two witnesses came in after me, I didn’t know if he saw what was happening, but that same day, everything worked on schedule. The straw that broke the elephants back was yesterday, Wednesday, May 9th 2012, at my usual time when I stopped by after work. As usual, the gentleman knew when I came in, and he came out of his hole, and instantly started whistling upon seeing me, and as soon as he passed me, he stopped, as usual. He headed towards the checker/cashier by the ATM, and whispered something to him, but not before me and him had eye to eye contact. He had this guilt all over his face, I had to look away. I just wanted to establish the eye to eye contact for the record, which means that we both know what is going on.

After checking out with the cashier, I told him to tell his supervisors that I will be filing a harassment/slander lawsuit against the said worker and perhaps Walgreens based on employer/employee relationship. I request that Walgreens investigate this complaint and remedy it, I request that Walgreens notify me of the corrective action taken (lawsuits against employee(s) will be on-going). The next time this event happens again, there will be no more complaint; my attorney will file a lawsuit against the said employee and Walgreens.

I walked into my local Walgreens one day to find a product for myself, when I couldn't help but notice that the music playing at the time was none other than a song called "Devil Inside" by "INXS", and was in fact playing so loud that I could barely hear myself think. This has happened on more than one occasion and is very disturbing, to say the least. The fact that you can't even walk into a pharmacy anymore without literally being bombarded by satanic music is really deplorable, let alone completely unnecessary, especially considering the fact that the average customers are usually families with little children or otherwise elderly.

The content of this music, which plays very often, is a very inappropriate choice of music, of which customers literally compelled to listen while they shop even if they do not approve of its offensive content. Retailers should always be seeking ways to make their customers' experience an enjoyable one, and always on the lookout for ways to make their store environment warm and inviting, not loathsome nor reprehensible.

My girlfriend was preparing a diner and she used that milk for preparing a sauce. The food’s taste was different. We also discovered that the milk is expired. I purchased the milk from the same store. Now, I feel that I can't deal with Walgreens again - at least with this store. If nothing happened, the store manager was not changed or I don't know, store quality control policy was changed, I will fill the internet with my story. For sure, I am going to the small claims court. When dealing with people's health, we should be very careful.

I called in a prescription for Prednisone on 4/5/2012, which was the last date for refill. There were 2 refills left. I went to pick it up on 4/7/2012 and was told it could not be refilled because the date had expired. I was told that it was submitted via phone on 4/5/2012 and was told by the pharmacy tech that the insurance company’s cutoff date was actually 4/4/2012 (which I do not believe). If that is so, Walgreens should have printed “4/4/2012” on the prescription label. Other possibilities are that it was not processed until after submission date. Whatever the situation was, if Walgreen's was not going to get it filled, they should have called or done something before I made the trip.

At the price of gas, it cost more to make the trip than for my part of the prescription. We are very good and loyal customers of Walgreens’ and normally have very positive experience. Also, we have very high regard for the senior pharmacist who was not there on this occasion. Anyway, this is irritating. Either some person or the system screwed up. I would prefer to be told the truth instead of some story. If the insurance company really does date one day prior to date on label, Walgreens should adjust to reflect that policy.

I request that in my health condition as a test not a treatment, I am satisfied with only 1 test daily. They refused and they asked me to get another prescription from my doctor for only I strip daily.

It would have been logic to give me only the number of strips approved by Medicare, as I requested, or to call the doctor to see if he is de accord. Instead, they give me nothing and requested that I go to the doctor for a new prescription implicitly to overcharge Medicare with a useless visit.

That evening, later when I got home and Walgreens was closed, I decided to count the pills since the bottle didn't look right. The script was 56 pills short of a controlled substance. The script called for 180 pills (what I usually get); there were only 124! I am furious that I have to go through this. I expect Walgreens to make good on all of the missing pills. My meds have to last all month! I am 10 days short. I fill many scripts monthly. My condition is well documented.

With the exception of Joyce (pharmacy manager), the pharm is poorly run. It’s always out of stock. It takes 4 hours to fill scripts and they are taking their time to help the customers. God forbid I come in with 2 controlled items. I will always be told you only have one of them. I’ve had it! Please do not ignore this. In filling two prescriptions at Walgreens in hopes to being given a correct drug at a fair price, the drug is correct, but no one was looking out for my best interest at the cost. I was amazed at the lack of interest that Walgreens has towards my pocket book. It also amazed me that Walgeens does not follow the generic reduction cost of medications. They didn't even inquire if any other discounts were available to be used, AARP, AAA, Dicks Sporting Goods, nothing.

I was charged $32.38 for a 30 day supply of 2 drugs, ** 5mg and ** 40mg. At your competitor's, Kroger, both these drugs would have cost me $8.00 for 30 days and $10.00 for 90 days. Under the savings plan Walgreens offer at a membership ($20.00 cost) price of $12.00 for a 90 day supply. Where is the savings? At this cost of the membership ($20.00) and drug cost, it is still dollars more than I can get at my pharmacy at Krogers.

That's right; I now say my Pharmacy is Krogers, because they care about their customers. I have dealt with Walgreens now for over a 2 year period and I am constantly having my medicines charged to the wrong accounts, or refills having issues, that Walgreens employees have caused. With this issue, I have contacted customer service and they made a report. No thought to help with the matter beyond that. I "should" receive a phone call within 2 business days. Some help!

I will now be pulling my medications from Walgreens and go back to my old pharmacy which was Krogers, a local grocery chain in this area. I realize I am just one person and my medicine cost of over $1,200 a month may not make a dent, but I hope others will listen to this and also think about the cost of medications. Thanks for the care Walgreens, but I want someone who looks out for my best interest all the way around, not just how I can fill your pockets.

Pharmacists think they are above all: It’s unreal the way that Walgreens pharmacy conducts business. I have been disabled for the last 15 years due to a terrible auto accident. I have a great report with my doctor. I have been on the same meds for the past 10 years and throughout those years, I have never had an issue filling my scripts. That is until the last year or so.

The pharmacy changes pharmacists like I change underwear. Anyhow, long story short, I always pick my scripts up on the 30th day. Today, another episode transpired like it has for months although this is my last straw that I will know on with these guys.

Get this, it’s my 30th day today and received a call telling me I’m a day early because I filled my script the previous month at noon. Therefore, they are telling me the first day of that script should have not started until 24 hours after the time of pickup. Say what? That would have been midway through my 31st day. How can that be when I was only issued a 30 day supply? So in other words, I should go without my meds for 24 hours or I should say go through withdrawals and pain because the pharmacist can’t add. I’m at the end of my line with these guys and girls. Not only that but when talking to them, they seem to want to talk down to you like you are an addict.

I had to waste 2 hours of calling my doctor and my insurance adjuster just to get these morons to understand they were wrong. Do you think I got an apology? Not a chance. Message to Walgreens Pharmacy, you are not above the law or above a doctor’s orders. I’m taking this up with the med board as I asked for the pharmacist’s license number. Walgreens in Kenmore, NY has gone downhill.

Remember patients, you do have rights. Exercise them and don’t be treated like crap. The funniest part is on the drug info stapled to my scripts which states the following in bold lettering, "IF TAKING THIS MEDICATION FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REFILL EARLY SO YOU WON'T RUN OUT." I guarantee not one of these monkeys even know that phrase is on the paperwork. I've been on it for 10 years! I think I fall into that category! CVS, here I come.

The past three years, I have had constant problems with Walgreen's on Madison Ave, in Sacramento not filling my prescriptions when they said they would. Other times, there was twice where I get an automated call that my prescriptions are filled and to pick them up. But when I get there, they weren't filled so I had to wait over two hours in pain. There were three other times that when I tried to get a prescription. They had to request a tar to my insurance and when I would call every few days, I come to find out they forgot to request the tar or they said they would do it again. But days later, again they didn't request it at all when investigating and then it took close to a month to finally get the meds while I'm the one suffering!

Now to this date on March 5th on Monday, I called to make sure two prescriptions would be filled by the 8th in the morning so I could pick them up. I come to find out that someone wrote in that I had my prior prescription of Valium picked up on the 12th when I picked it up on the 8th and had proof. But she didn't really care what I had to say, even though I tried to show proof. After much talk, she kept insisting that my insurance would pay it on the 9th. I repeatedly explained to make sure to have the prescriptions filled and be ready that day then. I call around 10:00 Friday the 9th and come to find out only one was filled, and not the Valium and would take around 1:30 or so to be filled. I explained to the guy that it should have been ready and why so long? He said they were busy, but I would have to wait even though I called four days prior to make sure it would be ready! I had no choice!

There are other times I call earlier to make sure my prescriptions will be filled and when they give me a time, I come in at least another hour later but they never filled it and don't know anything! I am so upset and even though the store is only three blocks away, I'm so fed up that I decided I just have to find another place. They take hours to fill prescriptions and forget way too much, making me suffer! I am disabled as well with a lot of pain issues and I'm sick of what they put me through. Oh, there was one time they gave me the wrong prescription at the counter and I caught it and had to give it back to get mine! Now that was careless!

Of course, I would like $10 off my next purchase at DrugStore.com. Who wouldn't? In January of this year, I went to the Walgreens location on Main St, Freehold, NJ, to get a refill for **. I used a discount card supplied by the manufacturer, that gives me a $17 reduction in the price. When I returned to pick up my medication, I was told that there was a problem with their system, and I could not get the discount. I was told that I would get enough pills to last a couple of days, and that I could return the following day to complete the purchase. When I returned, I could pay the discounted price, and all will be well. The next day, I returned to pick everything up. Once again, I was told that they are still having problems with their system. I was a little upset over this, but I do know things like this can happen. Before I left, I was told in no uncertain terms, that I would receive a phone call, when everything was processed, and I could come in to get my prescription.

The next day, I received an automated call from this store. It stated that my prescription was ready to be picked up. Once again, I drove to the store, only to be told that their system was still down. I was now beyond being a little upset. I reached the point of being mad. I tried to explain that I was told that I would get a call when everything was ready to be picked up. I even showed them the read out on my cellphone, which clearly showed the date, time, and phone number for the store. The person said that the call I got was from their automated service, and not from a pharmacy associate. At this point, I said that I was told that I would be called when the discount was processed, and the prescription was ready to be picked up. At no time was I told, how the call would be placed. The pharmacy associate I spoke with just shook her head, and said that I would receive a call from a person, not a computer.

Since this was my 3rd trip, one of my fuses blew after hearing this. I said that I wanted to talk with the store manager about this. A few minutes later, the manager showed up, and once again, I explained that I have made 3 trips to get this prescription, and each time, I was told that it was not ready. This person didn't have a clue about anything. He looked as if he was about 20 years old, and was completely stumped by this situation. Of course, he didn't do anything that was of any help. At this point, I just said that I will pay the regular price for my prescription. I also said that this was the last time they would have me as a customer. If this person was a manager, he surely did not portray himself as one. In fact, I asked him where their district office was located, and he said, "I think it's in Springfield". He is a manager, and yet, he doesn't know where the district office was at? My personal career spans over 35 years in the retail industry. I have held every position, from being a carriage boy, to regional operations manager. During my career, I have never known a manager who did not know, where the district office was located.

As I paid for my medication, I was told that they would keep trying to process the discount for me. I distinctly told this so-called manager not to bother. After 3 wasted trips, I was not about to take another trip to this location. Sure enough, the very next day, I received a call from the store, and was told that they had processed my discount, and I could pick up a refund. The manager obviously did not understand and comprehend what I told him. Yesterday, I had to get a prescription electronically submitted from my doctor's office. It was totally against my better judgement, but since I did not have the address of an alternate pharmacy, I told my doctor that it could be sent to this same Walgreens location. Later on, my wife drove to this Walgreens location, to pick up my medications. Once again, there was a problem. They did not have enough of one medication, to completely fill the prescription. My wife was told that it will be ordered, and the remaining quantity could be picked up after 1:00 this afternoon.

My wife returned to the store at approximately 4:30 this afternoon. She was told that they did not finish checking in the delivery, and it would be at least another hour before it was done. She drove back there 3 hours later, and was told that the delivery did not contain the medication I needed. The problem with this is that I have a serious intestinal issue, and my doctor told me that I have to follow his medication instructions exactly, if I want to get better. This is not an easy thing to do, when I don't have the medication that is needed!

Another problem with this location is that they do not tell their pharmacy customers about possible drug interactions. Case in point, my prescription for **. I take several prescription heart medications, that have been provided by this store. At no time did they ever tell me about a possible problem with **, and one of my heart medications. I have been getting refills for my heart medications, and ** at this store for a long time. They have a record of the medications I take, and if there is the possibility of a bad interaction, I should have been notified about it. This is totally inexcusable! If they aren't telling me about this possible interaction (which I found out after getting it refilled at another pharmacy), can you imagine how many others have not been told about a bad interaction? Someone could die because of this!

I don't know if this store has bad management, or pharmacy associates, who do not care about doing what they were hired to do. What I am sure about, is that after I pick up my medication, I am never going to return to Walgreens. I would rather drive 20 miles out of my way, and give my business to another pharmacy. At least, another pharmacy would tell me if there could be problems, if I take a certain medication while taking others.

I drove 14 miles to doctor and 14 back to pharmacy and was told that the ** was filled twice in December. I thought the rule was one fill per month, what’s up with that? So, I have no pain meds for over a week.

I have not slept in 8 days since the Kennedy Drive Walgreens in Kankakee neglected to put the two prescriptions in the sack or someone working back there took them and re-stapled the bag. My back is killing me and I spent way too many hours on my feet waiting for a script they would not fill. It is 10:13 p.m. right now and I am getting ready to sit on a heating pad all night and watch TV. Maybe by the grace of God I might sleep an hour. I am afraid to drive out of town as I get drowsy from lack of sleep and did run off the I-57 shoulder around 12 times in 30 miles. Well that is just plain **, she has had to call Sedgwick and her foot doctor repeatedly to figure what paperwork they need to give Sedgwick. We have given them all they need to know. She has also been given misinformation multiple times. She has wished now that she has never worked for Walgreens.

They finally declined her claim because she didn't get the "right" information, and she found this out today 2 of February 2012 and her claim ended 26 of January 2012 and that is just plain stupid. So now that she is not working she can't get paid because they are screwing her saying she lost all of her sick days and vacation. This needs to get fixed or I will keep complaining over and over again until I get my way.

My wife went to the doctor on 12/27 for a stomach problem. The doctor gave ** samples and said if it worked, he would call in for prescription. It worked and he called in for prescription for **. After the fact, Medco (drug coverage) had returned saying required the pre-authorization is required. When we picked up the prescription, we asked because it wasn't **. The pharmacist said that was what the doctor sent over, and I told him that it was supposed to be **, and he said that wasn't what the doctor sent. I went home and took it. My wife ended up in the ER, as it did not work like the ** had. After the ER, we spoke with the doctor and told him that we needed the **, as the other did not work. He said he did prescribe it before, and that Walgreens told him it was not covered. I said send it again, and I will pay cash. Walgreens attempted to get it changed again. The doctor called us, and we called Walgreens. They told me that the drug required pre-authorization, and that it was not covered by Medco. That is a lie. It is covered with pre-authorization. We contacted the doctor and he sent the pre-authorization, and we haven't had a problem since.

The Doctor did send a ** prescription, and rather than contact us to notify us that pre-authorization was required, and offer us a choice of paying the cash price, contacting the doctor, or asking for a medication that did not require a pre-authorization, they took it upon themselves to make that decision. The result of Walgreens' decision was a different medication that did not work, and my wife was brought in the Emergency Room. They lied about the original prescription even being written for ** by the doctor. The clerk, showed a copy of the second prescription that the doctor sent, and saying that was all he sent.

After the ER visit, they blamed Medco, and told me at first it wasn't covered, and said Medco said it had to be changed. They contacted the doctor again to change it, and he said no. Then told us at this point, that a pre-authorization was required. We contacted the doctor who filled out the pre-authorization form. Walgreens was still blaming Medco, and said that it was their fault that the medicine had been changed, so I filed a complaint with Texas Department of Insurance, and was very quickly contacted by Medco.

After speaking with Medco, it was apparent that the change was initiated at the pharmacy, without contacting the patient, to ask what they wanted to do. As stated previously, we should have been given the choice, pay cash, which is what we would have done, or wait for pre-authorization from the doctor (we would have still contacted him), or ask the doctor for a change in the medication. Medco explained that on the initial prescription of ** that was changed, the pharmacy submitted it 4 times with the same result, a message for Medco to get pre-authorization. The pharmacy initiated that change not Medco. I believe the bill that resulted should be paid by Walgreens as their actions caused the visit to the ER.

I have filed a complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance and I have contacted Walgreens. They had someone at the store level contact me, and ask what they could do to remedy the situation. I told them to pay the ER bill. He stated he understood how I felt, and that he was not authorized to pay that bill. He said that what they did was standard procedure, and that they were within their rights. Their rights? What about the patient's rights, and what about the doctor's rights? The pharmacy is not the doctor, nor the patient, and should not be able to initiate changes, no matter what the reason, without contacting the patient, who can then discuss with the doctor and make that decision.

This store in Cedar Hill on E. Beltline Rd should not have a pharmacy. You will wait in the drive through window for 30 minutes then decide to go inside and wait another 20 minutes. I've complained and no change, so I'm sending the news stations to this store so they can see for themselves what we have to go through.

Why in the world don't they hire more people for that department? I'm forming a boycott across the street to let people know we can get our medicines someplace else. I know a small company getting started that will fill your order and deliver it to you. I will have flyers for this store. I want the news stations to sit and watch and time drive through service. It is a sad place. If you want to keep going through this, go ahead but if some of you who stand in line and complain, call the local news.

I visited Walgreens today to fill a prescription. Part of my prescriptions were on paper, 1 prescription comes in through Transcript, and I purchase over the counter drugs as well. I visit Walgreens more than I do the grocery store. When I was in the store, I pulled out the 3 prescriptions out of my purse. I gave the technician 1 prescription. The technician told me after I gave her my prescription, that they will have to call my doctor because people go to the doctors just to get a narcotic.

Customer sensitivity training is needed so that when a physician prescribes a narcotic, the patient (customer) is not being mistreated at the pharmacy (Walgreens). I called the corporate office (customer service). The burden of proof is on the customer. Personally, I went to the doctor for a regular checkup. Why does the store allow the technician to make the customers feel less than. For a minute, I thought she called me a street person. I chose not to fill the other 2 prescriptions today.

So everyone that comes in with a narcotic prescription or pulls out a prescription out of their purses need to go to their doctors just to get a prescription for narcotic. Far from the truth. Walgreens need a better avenue for discriminating against persons to find persons that are on narcotic drugs. Maybe they need my records before they fill the prescriptions. That is just too much.

They did the same in the candy section and in another soda display there was advertising 4 for $12.00. Seems to be plain that it is company policy. I had a horrible experience at the Walgreens pharmacy off Commercial in Spring Hill, FL. The pharmacist's name is Mike **.

I had an accident a few years ago that left me with several serious injuries, and I'm seeing a pain management doctor because I live in pain 24/7. I didn't ask to be on the pain medication prescribed, and quite frankly I hate having to take them, but since I have to, I do. I was already like five days past the date on my script because I could not find it anywhere. I must of checked about 20 pharmacies in the Tampa Bay area and nothing, so I'm really in a bad situation already having to endure several days without my pain meds, which are strong, I understand this. I've even asked my doctor to please transition me on something not so strong, but they are cheap, and I lost my insurance at my job, so I have to pay out of pocket.

I called the Walgreens pharmacy where I got last month's bottle, and they said they didn't have it, but that they did have it at the Spring Hill location, so I made the drive all the way over there. By this time I am feeling so bad because of the pain I'm in and now are starting to feel maximum withdrawal symptoms. One thing I hate about this is that I'm always seemingly lumped in the same category as those people that fake their injuries to get pain pills. I despise these people because of the situation it leaves me in and the looks I get from staff that looks at the script and then personality goes from happy to "obvious suspicion".

I've had several surgeries to prove I'm in seriously bad shape, so I made my way all the way out to the Spring Hill Walgreen's Pharmacy, and gave my script to the lady, who did the usual look I get and passed it on to the pharmacist. Well this guy calls me over with his index finger, and says "I don't know this doctor". I said well he does exist, then he starts asking questions that are not relevant to the situation like saying he sees that I have seen a Dr. ** over a year ago, I said that's right and I now see Dr. ** in South Tampa; why did you switch doctors? I thought that was an odd question, but okay, I told him because I was on the ** Patch and ** and it was too strong for me, and he suggested **, but he didn't prescribe that, but gave me the name of the current doctor I see who does prescribe that, and he's part of the same group of doctors, so I told him this. And he said that's not true, then asked why do I go to south Tampa to see a doctor when there's plenty in NPR. I said because I work in south St Pete and it's close to my job. He again said, "I don't think so".

By this time I didn't know what to think because I've never been confronted that way by a pharmacist. He kept smiling while denying every answer I gave him, which infuriated me because I knew what he was doing. He knew he had power over me and was basically flaunting it at me. I even showed him my appointment cards to show my previous appointments. I said with all due respect, don't fill anything tonight, simply call them on Monday (it was Friday) and his office can verify anything you need. He said, "I can do that very easily (smiling) but I don't think I'm going to do that for you". I have to say, his way of talking to me was not only condescending, but it was embarrassing for Walgreens to know this man is representing your store. I love Walgreens, but this man knew what I was going through and seemed to get somewhat of a charge out of getting me physically angry and sick.

I did something that was stupid, but it was a knee jerk reaction. I grabbed the sign (next window please) and lightly tossed it his way, it barely touched him. He started screaming at me, and I simply walked away (after getting his name from a manager). I know I shouldn't have done that, and I am paying the price as he has pressed charges as I have received a letter in the mail from a bail bondsman. I am getting an attorney and plan on fighting this, as well as making sure other people know about this. But this man must be spoken to at the very minimum. I'm sure there is audio that can prove what and how he was taunting me. I'm also friends with a consumer reporter for News Channel 8 On Your Side and plan to voice this complaint once I take care of this Misdemeanor Battery charge. I would ask that someone please hear my complaint and understand my state when this happened. Please contact me as soon as possible. Thank you very much.

On Wednesday September 7th 2011, I was taking my kid's with me to get some prescriptions for my 10 year old daughter. On the way down, I noticed that there was a lot of traffic on the way back toward my house, bumper to bumper for more than 4 miles. I wasn't looking forward to the ride home. When we got to the pharmacy, we just pulled up to the drive through and I gave the lady behind the counter the prescriptions I had. There were 2 ** rescue inhalers and some stuff with steroids in it for my kids asthma.

She had a really bad turn and was having trouble breathing, she helped me trim our dogs hair and she had a bad reaction. After I turned in the scrips, I took my kids to Dunkin' Donuts, my kids picked some of the gooiest looking donuts I had ever seen. I had told the pharmacist that my child couldn't breathe very well and to please try to hurry so she could get some relief. She told me it would be an hour at the least. In Dunkin' Donuts, my daughter says to me, daddy I can't breathe and tears came into her eyes. At this point my job is clear, get my kid fixed up at any cost, anything I have to do will be done and no one will stand in my way. So, I am standing brain burning thinking of what I could do to get her to some medication as quickly as possible.

We left the Dunkin' Donuts immediately and started toward home. Then it struck me, I just put the prescriptions in for the rescue inhalers. I was happy at this point, help is very close and I don't have to deal with the bumper to bumper traffic on the way home. Seemed perfect, I had a vision of the pharmacist coming out from behind the counter and saying "well hello sweetie pie how are you doing? Are you having a little trouble breathing? Well, now you don't worry yourself, I will get your inhaler right now for you and you'll be right as rain in a couple of seconds. Wow, was I stupid naive and in comparison to what happened a complete idiot thinking that compassion and caring was alive and well in the employees of the Moss Park Walgreen's.

I got to the back of the Walgreen's where the pharmacy was and saw one of the techs that took the prescriptions. She was taking care of someone at the drive through window. After a couple of minutes of being ignored, I managed to talk to her. My daughter just told me that she can't breathe and I was wondering if I could get one of the scrips filled right away so my daughter could breathe again. She said, no, I couldn't believe my ears, she didn't look at my kid or say anything to her or ask her how she is doing.

My kid started crying hard and was begging the woman. I asked her whether I had to get the manager, she said no, I asked her are you going to fill it, No, I will fill that one first when I gets there in the cue. I went for the manager running through the store. I found him, told him what was going on and he said he was going to fix it. He asked me which medication she needed, I told him the inhaler he told me that one wasn't covered under the insurance, I told him I didn't care just get the medicine now, please. My kid is extremely upset at this point and is crying and panicking because she still cant breathe.

Finally, the pharmacist says it's ready, she was about to hand it to the manager when the stupid woman that started all this says no, give it to me, I have to check it. what a complete idiot. I lost it I said just give me the ** medication now, ** it my kid can't breathe, what is wrong with you inhumane **, I have never seen any one treat an adult like this, never mind a 10 year old little girl. I got the stuff in my hand and the pharmacist tells the manager that the inhaler is for prolonged use and will not work as a rescue inhaler.

I couldn't believe it, I started screaming why would you give one that doesn't ** work you **. The manager said, we gave you the one that was covered by the insurance. My daughter started sobbing and begging them to give her the right stuff and the manager wasn't going to get anything unless he saw that I had the money for the medication, I pulled my wallet out and threw what I thought was $140.00 but only threw $120.00 on the desk and they still didn't have the medication in my hand, so I started going crazy. If you ** don't get that up here now, I will have you all in jail, this is criminal what the ** is wrong with you people. The only work I could see these people doing is torture in Iraq or killing people.

Finally, I saw the rescue inhaler in the managers hand and he wasn't handing it to me, then he informed me that I was short it was $127 dollars. So he wasn't going to give it to me because he thought I didn't have the money he would have let my kid die right there and would've defended his actions because I was 7 dollars short. I had told him I had a $1000.00 dollars in my wallet, whatever it takes and he wasn't giving me the medicine. I snatched it out of his hand put the top on the inhaler and handed it to my kid and she did a couple of puffs and was fine within minutes.

At one point, when I was yelling at him to get the correct medication, I said, if your not going to give it to her, call 911 and he actually picked up the phone and said do you want me to call them, which would have taken to long and he knew it. My daughter told me later when he said, I will call an ambulance and them not give her the medication that she actually thought that she was going to die. So, in the end, we were leaving the store and the manger is yelling that he is going to have me thrown in jail if I ever come back there causing my daughter to become really scared and start panicking again, thinking that her daddy is going to jail. The only reason I was yelling at them was to get them to do the right thing, which they were not going to do.

People die all the time from asthma attacks and I thought that there was a law, that if you go into a pharmacy and you are out of a medication that could cause death, that the pharmacy has an obligation to give you the medication regardless of anything. It's a law that forces inhumane people to act humane. Some people need to be woken up and hopefully this will get some kind of response. This is a way to bring rude people in pharmacy's out in the light. Later that night, I called and asked for the manager, because I wanted all of their names so I could report them.

He then started defending his actions, like I was wrong. I told him, all I wanted was for all of them too call my daughter and apologize for putting her through the worst ordeal she had ever experienced in her life and he wouldn't do it, then he yelled something and then hung up on me. I thought we were supposed to look up to our pharmacists and they were supposed to help people. Seems like Walgreen's must be extremely hard up to hire irresponsible ** like this. Seems like most of them are from other country's where it is possible to get away with treating people like ** and abusing children without any kind of punishment. The way I look at it, it's attempted murder of a child. I called the orange county sheriff's department and they refused to arrest anyone saying that it is a civil matter. To me, it looked like 3 Casey Anthony's trying to make sure that my daughter suffered as much as possible in the 30 minutes it took these ** to come up with the rescue inhaler. If i didn't snatch it out of his hand, she would have died, that's the worst thing ever!

No call back as of yet. I've contacted my prescription insurance company to make a complaint. I've contacted the NYS Board of Pharmacy to make a complaint, in the process of contacting the Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration due to the medication being a controlled substance. I sent an email off to Long Island Newsday. I'm also about to send emails off to the local news services. I had received a call back from the manager today that I missed, but since it took me over 3 hours to get through back to the pharmacy, he was gone for the day already. I am not elderly, and I work full time.

The main reason for me contacting all of these services is not for me to get my missing pills, though it would be nice, but if this is happening to me for a prescription of 10 lousy pills, what about everyone else, whether its a small quantity or large? Oh and the fact that it's a controlled substance helps too. Someone is obviously skimming.

I have been a customer for over 27 years, a faithful, loyal customer. I have never had a problem, situation, circumstance or issues. I love Walgreens forever. But not anymore. Do you want to know why? With the money I spent in Walgreens and when I ask for change of a $20 bill, all I got was a rude response, a nasty feedback, a hyper manager who abused me for no reason. What I can't believe is that she is still working at Walgreens and has not been fired. The other store is a joke on Sherbrooke Road. Get this! 5 times I had to come back for a medicine that is urgently needed when my doctor called it in 5 times and these pharmacist fruit loops said it was never called in. When I told my doctor, she almost flipped at the fact they don't know what they are doing. They will take care of it once and for all.

When I went back for the last time, I said, please is this going to go on again and had it with the female manager who was so threatening and rude. When I tried to reach the corporate level people, all I got was a runaround when they told me to contact Lazar ** who swears he was trying to reach me. Yeah, right only once. Meanwhile I am playing telephone tag with him for 3 months at a time.

When I reach the executive level, that was a joke and half. No one knows what you're talking about. At this point I am so frustrated and disgusted I am verbally attacking them and telling them who I am going to call next for having them investigated. At this point I don't want to talk to associates but someone on managerial level to resolve this issue of the two stores that are now hiring a new breed of ***.

Finally I went to the Wellington store and told them of this disgusting service that I have been getting and they were unbelievably understanding and compassionate and that these things should not have occurred and that they also know of other complaints that has been coming from those stores.

My wife dropped off my RX for 5mg ** 180 count. I have been filling my prescription at this location and another Walgreens down the street for the past 2 years. My leg was crushed in six places and had many surgeries since the accident. I take the medicine as prescribed by my doctor. He has suggested I increase the dosage to help manage the pain. I declined due to the fact that I did not feel comfortable taking any more pills than I was already taking. Last month, I noticed that I was short five days at the end of the month. My wife is allergic to the pain pills and my kids are all under the age of 8. This month I bought a monthly pill box to separate them to keep track of them.

Well, my wife picked the prescription up and brought it home. I started filling the pill box and it came up 30 short. I pulled out the bottle from last month and it barely fit the 150 I did get this month. I immediately returned to Walgreens and spoke to the manager. He said it was checked and tried to send me on my way. I told him to check his pill count. He barely wanted to do that. He asked who filled this prescription. One lady said, "Oh, I had to top it off. It only had 150 in it." He said, "Well, there you go. She says she topped it off not our fault." I said, "Okay, well maybe she topped off someone else. Please check the videos." He called a manager. He went back to an office and came back in less than five minutes and said, "Sorry, I can't tell from the tape." I then asked where do we go from here because the pills just didn't fall out of the bottle.

At this point, I knew something was up. I told the manager I was going to follow this through to the end. I was going to file a report with the police, which I did when I walked out of the store. I called the FDA. I called an attorney and planned on getting to the bottom of this. The pharmacist treated me like a bum who was trying to get more pain pills. The lady at the register made a comment that maybe I should talk to the person who picked the prescription up, my wife, who can't take them. The pharmacists repeatedly said the the name of the prescription loud enough for others to hear it. When I asked him to please lower his voice, he seemed to get louder and said it more.

I felt like I was judged by the Walgreens pharmacy workers and mistreated as a customer and a human being. Someone is either stealing the pills in the pharmacy or they are just not filling it and saying that they checked their pills on hand. Either way, Walgreens, you will be held accountable for your actions and the way you treated my wife and myself. My only goal at this point is to expose this problem. Walgreens probably put those 30 Percocet into someone else's prescription and that person has no idea.

I've never had an issue until last month with the count of my pills, filling my prescription, or my insurance. Way to go, Walgreens, you gave me a bottle that doesn't even hold the 180 pills and you're saying you don't have them. Now, it's time answer to the law. The police officers who responded to the call said that this was a problem that has been brought to their attention in the last couple of months.

To the lady that said she circled my prescription after she checked the count for the third time and then for some reason checked it again, good luck in prison. This is a controlled substance and the law will not ignore this when consumers complain. None is complaining that their antibiotics were short just their pain medication. I will not stop. This is my new project. I will make it the 30 days no problem with missing the 30 pills but I will take this to the end. I promise you that.

I had much trouble with its preauthorization number and decided not to hear anymore about this medicine (too many side effects). Nobody called me so I just thought maybe somebody was using this medicine in my name. I went to the pharmacy on 13 Oct 2011 around 8pm.

The pharmacy manager was very rude when I said I had no wish for the medicine and just to give back the prescription slip to me. They didn’t even try. I waited one hour for her to decide to give me my copy. I requested to close the case, give me a copy and that is done. Now looking at the paper, see that the last fill date was 09/29/2011. Somebody else got the medicine on this date! I still don`t have my original prescription. I’m not sure this is close. I went to Walgreens in Essex, MD and got sugar-free candy which was on sale. My total was $4.18. The elderly cashier ran my independence card then said I owed $1.59. I told her I shouldn't owe anything since it was 2 food items. So, the store "manager" comes up, asks for my card, runs it again, again, again, again, and again. It made no sense. She didn't know what she was doing, which is fine. People make mistakes.

So, I see my last receipt says they took $14.00! Really? So, the manager and 2 employees took my card and called customer service to hear my last transactions. I can clearly hear that it is saying,"$3.00 posted October12" five times, yet all 3 workers are telling me it is saying,"$3.00 deposited!" How do you "deposit" money onto a food stamp card?

So, to cut a long story short, these 3 workers are fighting with me over a $14.00 mistake that they made. Seriously! For an hour and a half, I was there, pretty much just trying to clear this up and make sure they knew I wasn't crazy. All she had to do was say, "I'm sorry. I made a mistake, and I'll fix it. "Yet instead, I went around and around in circles with 3 employees who clearly had no clue what they were doing and then did not want to admit that they were wrong.

So, I called a social worker and she let me know that she can see 5 transactions that were just made at that Walgreens for the same amount of money, $3.00. Right there, you can see they made a mistake because when they ran my card, it should have taken off $4.18 and I should not have owed $1. My whole point is that the staff treated me incredibly wrong for a mistake that they made. And when they literally fought me about it and just wanted me to say, "Oh, it's okay, just keep the money and I'll leave," that's where I drew the line. Once the social worker (who understood what I was saying, and I could tell in her voice that she was even annoyed by the stupidity of the staff of Walgreens) got on the phone with the male employee, she explained how they owed me $14.00 and then they finally gave me my money back.

I am diabetic and just wanted my sugar-free candy. They treated me like I was a burden, like I came in the store to rip them off, but why, after the cashier messed up the first time, would you run my card 5 times? Then, as I was leaving, I could hear and see them laughing and talking about me. I even had another worker come up and tell me where other Walgreen stores were (I guess, so I don't come into that one again), but I literally told her to mind her business because she had nothing to do with the situation. My overall experience was terrible and I could not wait to get the hell out of there and never go back!

These medications are approved under my psychiatrist, Dr. ** and my PCP, Dr. **. I am also in surgical PA school at UAB, which is like medical school condensed into 2 years. It requires a great deal of concentration and very little sleep to study. It also increases ones anxiety levels.

My first incident occurred when a member of Dr. **'s staff called Walgreens at ** to increase my prescription of ** from 5 mg to 10 mg. Apparently, a member of Walgreens pharmacy staff failed to document this interaction and note it on my account. When I went to pick up the medication, the staff pharmacist, Cedric **, said that no one had called or left a message and that he knew because he had been there. I called my doctor's office again, who assured me that the message had been left. When I called Cedric again, he accused me of trying to get my medications filled early, without a prescription. I was pretty upset considering I had 3 tests that week. Two tests, which I failed because of the incompetency of Walgreens' staff.

I was without my needed medications for 5 days, which made my dopamine levels fall drastically and threw me into a deep depression with major anxiety, a common symptom of rapid withdrawal from ** that a pharmacist should recognize. Cedric ** never offered to call Dr. ** because he knew that he was right. I asked if that was protocol for the pharmacy to be able to increase the dosage if the doctor called it in, and he argued with me that no one had called and I needed a new prescription. Because of time restraints with school, I could not get to my doctor to get a new prescription. Finally, a Walgreens manager was called because I was crying and so upset by the way I had been treated. Cedric was ordered to call my doctor and as a result filled my prescription.

The second encounter occurred when my dose was again increased from 10 mg to 20 mg of ** (I am very sensitive to the medication and had to start low and increase gradually). The pharmacy checkout started interrogating me, about my prescription increase and the early nature of it. I told her to call my doctor, and Cedric came over and looked in my eyes, as if he were trying to see if I was high. I had been up all night studying, so I am not sure what I looked like. To avoid any more controversy, I simply went back to my doctor and got a new prescription that said fill this prescription early. It was filled. When I went back again to get my next ** prescription filled, they lied to me and said that they didn't have any ** and didn't know when it would be in. I believe they also put a red flag on my account and alerted nearby pharmacies because other pharmacies refused to serve me.

During the third encounter on 10-8-11, I brought in my ** prescription (which Dr. ** had authorized for an early refill and increase in the dose to 2 mg./Day. ) The pharmacist said that it didn't make sense because this couldn't be an increase because I had my last prescription filled at 2 mg./Day back in April (way before my current prescription). I said that I had used CVS the last time I had the prescription filled and that they could call them to validate that my last prescription was at 1 mg/Day. They validated the information and then the pharmacist proceeded to say that they had to call the doctor on Monday to get permission, even though my prescription clearly showed an increase in dosage (this is completely opposite of what Cedric had explained in my first encounter that I needed a new prescription). Now I have to wait over the weekend to get my needed medication.

I realized that pharmacists are trying to control controlled substances from being abused, from people forging prescriptions, etc., as I have read up on your new policies on substance diversion. However, I am a patient that desperately needs my medications in a timely manner, to function in a high stress scholastic program. I am tired of being harassed and am considering legal action at this point in regards to your pharmacy trying to play doctor. There should also be penalties to staff members, who abuse your new substance diversion rules.

Your staff needs to be able to better communicate with the consumers the laws and protocols of your company in regards to increased prescriptions of controlled substances. Many of the above situations could have been prevented by the following: tell the client to use one pharmacy when filling a prescription for a controlled substance, quit harassing clients and give them the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise (i.e. Call their doctor and if it proves false give them over to the regulating forces), give your clients clear and legal rules of how their doctor needs to express an increase in dosage (either by phone or by prescription because there is severe discrepancy in the communication above), have a strict protocol when documenting phone calls by doctors and repercussions if it is not done properly. In addition, have a handout to give to patients receiving controlled substances that clarify the controlled substance protocols. It is sad that I, the consumer, have to come up with these strategies to protect valid patients. Walgreens is a large company and needs to get control of this situation. No valid patient should ever feel like they are being harassed and that the pharmacist is treating them like a drug addict.

I would like to hear your thoughts on this matter. Please contact me via e-mail ** or **.

On October 6th, I visited Walgreens and got my pain pill prescription filled. This was my first time in several months that I actually got said prescription filled with your store. Because the last time I had this prescription filled, they shorted my pill count. I get a monthly supply of 90 pills to take for chronic pain due to a broken back and broken femur. Two months ago, when I first realized I was shorted, I removed the pill bottle from the bag. It actually looked as if it only had maybe 30 to 40 pills inside, nowhere the way it should look with 90 pills. I proceeded to count the pills and it had 42 pills inside. I called my wife and had her verify the count as well.

I immediately took the bottle back and gave it to the pharmacist and told them what happened. They didn’t even question me. They just took the bottle back and topped it off with the rest of my pills as it should have been. To me, this was a red flag. And it seemed strange for them not to even question me. So, I think they were surprised that I actually counted my pills. And they also knew they made this error so there was no need to question me. The problem I found with this is that there was a second initial on the bottle. It was as if a second person was verifying what was actually inside the bottle. So, that tells me someone is lying and not actually doing their job. There's no way a person should initial a bottle without verifying its content.

I decided to call and register a complaint. I left my name and number but no one ever called me back. Just think if I had not counted that content and waited maybe a day or so later to do it before I took it back. There is no way they would have believed that happened, especially if a new shift had come on, which meant I would have been screwed. Today, Oct. 8 (2 days after I got my new prescription), I decided to count to verify the count was right. Being I take a pill 3 times a day meant that there were supposed to be 6 pills used. This meant that I should have 84 pills in the bottle. Well, you wouldn’t know it. There were 82 pills inside the bottle, which means I was short by 2 pills this time. This is it. I am totally finish with Walgreens. I am so pissed off because I wonder how many other people they are stealing from like this. They are taking 2 to 3 pills from a customer's bottle. They are thinking it will go unnoticed because the bottle looks full anyway and the average person would not count it anyway.

This is a crime. I am going public with this because it's a crime, ripping people off. What are they doing, selling these narcotics? Taking 2 or 3 pills per customer times 50 customers, that's 150 pills. And I guess they can make big money doing it. But I will contact my local news channel and post to blogs on the internet. Walgreens has seen its last dollar from me. Hopefully, I can persuade everyone else to stop doing business with you. On top of all this, they are very slow and unorganized. I think back now on how I used to run out of my medication so quickly and never giving this a thought. So, this tells me I have been getting ripped off for a long time. I am going to tell everyone to count their pills when doing business with Walgreens. I hope someone of authority reads this and decides to do something about the crooks that work at this Walgreens in Hampton, Virginia on the corner of Mercury and Armistead.

I had taken 4 since leaving the pharmacy. I immediately contacted the pharmacy. I explained this to one of the pharmacy staff that asked if the amount of the bottle was circled. I said it was. Then, I was put on hold. A man then came on and said, "Hello?" I asked who he was. He stated, "The Pharmacist." I then explained that I was missing 16 tablets. He also asked, "Was the number circled?" I said it was. He then stated, "Well, that means we counted them three times." I explained that I am not a drug addict, and that in no way had I taken 16 tablets that day. The "pharmacist" was very defensive and accused me of the loss. I warned him that he needed to be on the alert, that someone in the store is stealing medication.

I dropped prescription off Friday morning, September 16, between 10am - noon. I went back around 6pm the same day to find they lost my prescription. I spent nearly 2 hours(?) waiting for the manager, pharmacist, and student to search for it. About a dozen other people had very similar issues while I was there. And my doctor does not answer pages over the weekend. So I am now in pain struggling to sleep, because of the incompetence of this horrible place of business.

The manager said she was going to review the video tapes from that morning to see who it was that I gave my prescription to. I plan to go back tomorrow to see if in fact any progress was made. To top it off, I (as well as the student working and other customers) got to see cockroaches crawling around the register while I waited.

Walgreens gave my husband someone else's medicine for sugar diabetes.

On December 13th 2010, my husband was admitted to the hospital while I was at work. I left work and went home to write all his prescriptions down so I had an updated list for the hospital. I went to the emergency room and gave them the list. My Husband has been disabled for over five years and later that evening, a nurse came in and handed my husband diabetes medicine. Me and my husband look at each other and told the nurse that my husband was not a diabetic. She told us that this medicine was for diabetes. My husband's blood sugar levels were all out of whack.

I went home and found the prescription bottle to see if the doctor prescribe this to my husband and found out it was someone else's medicine and my husband was taking it for three months. My husband was admitted and was given shots to get control of his sugar levels. This could explain the dizzy spells my husband was experiencing, as well as, he was constantly telling me that he was not feeling well.

I contacted Walgreen and they put a claim in and nothing. I keep getting the run around and in the mean time, I am paying for these medical bills that Walgreen has caused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I always have to tell them that the medicines being issued to me are through the Office of Worker’s Compensation Program (OWCP). I state this when I show up to pick up my prescription, and then at the end of my transaction because they didn't hear me, or they don't care what I'm saying.

On the evening of September 9, 2011, I said I would pick it up on Saturday. There was no text message to let me know that it was not ready. I didn't go pick it up until Monday, where I was told that they did not have it in stock and that they only ordered one day a month. The technician then stated that she would call to the other Walgreen Prescriptions. I then asked if there will be a problem with workers compensation; she said no, since I had it approved previously by OWCP.

So, I went to another Walgreens to pick up my prescription and guess what? It was after 7:00 PM. The OWCP office was closed, and now I have to wait for another day because the Walgreens' pharmacy staffs did not know what they were doing. I am so fortunate to have been taken cared of so thoughtfully. I have never been to such a wonderful place. I don’t think I will ever go back to Walgreens again.

I felt immediate impact on the left side of my head, shoulder, hip, thigh area. From the impact, I was shoved off balance and my right hand prevented myself from falling down. I was struck by a thick plastic pallet used for moving product on and off the floor in big quantities.

I told the employee's boss what happened and he did send the employee to the front to work on register. The manager said and didn't write out an accident report. So I sent an email explaining what happened to the headquarters of Walgreens. I did receive a call back from a lady from Walgreens giving me a file number and that a lady named Sandy from Sentric would be following up. We miss each other every day. This is the worst Walgreens I have ever been in. Customer service is non-existent and it does no good to complain to the manager or corporate. Here are a few examples of why I no longer shop at this store.

    1. Panhandlers frequent the parking lot asking for money. The manager will not call the police to run them off.

    2. The front cash register is closed half the time, with no sign directing customers to another register. I've unloaded my cart on the counter, thinking the register was open, and I've seen other customers do the same. I've also seen cashiers walk away just as a customer comes up to be checked out.

    3. Employees stand around talking while a long line of customers is waiting (usually at cosmetics) to be checked out. Why can't they open another register?

    4. An employee licked her fingers to open the plastic bag, then picked up my purchases. I stopped her right there and told her that I didn't want her saliva on items that were going into my home. She glared at me like she wanted to kill me. There was a bottle of hand sanitizer next to the register and she picked it up, doused her hands, and slammed it back down. "There, are you satisfied?", she snarled. At that point, I walked out leaving about $50 worth of items. I called the manager when I got home and described what had happened. He agreed with me that what she had done was very unhygienic and that her conduct towards me was unacceptable. He said he would make sure all his employees knew not to lick their fingers to open the bags. Guess what? Two weeks later, another employee did the same thing.

    5. I was at the store when a young boy sailed in on a skateboard and continued skateboarding up and down the aisles. I was able to get out of his way but what about elderly customers who may not be able to move very fast? He could easily have knocked someone down, resulting in personal injury and a lawsuit. I kept waiting for an employee or the manager to stop him, but everyone carried on as if it was no big deal. I mentioned it to the cashier who checked me out and she looked at me as if I were crazy.

    6. There is a young cashier who works there who was very rude and disrespectful to me. She wasn't wearing a name tag. When I went to her register, she greeted me as "sweetheart". I told her my name was not sweetheart, and that to address someone like that was very rude and disrespectful. She gave a sort of snort and laughed. I reported her to the manager who said he would talk to her. The next time I was in the store, she did it again. She still wasn't wearing a name tag. This time, I notified the manager while I was in the store; it was a different one that I had spoken to the previous time. I asked if employees weren't supposed to wear name tags and she said yes and asked the employee where hers was. I could tell she was on the verge of laughing when I told her how I had been disrespected twice by this employee. I saw them exchanged sympathetic glances like, "we'll have a good laugh as soon as this old bag leaves". I told them I would no longer be a Walgreens customer because of this disrespect. That I spent a lot of money there which would now to go another store. The manager said no one had meant any disrespect but at that point, I didn't care what she said. I have not been back to Walgreens since, and that was 3 months ago.

I have lupus, type II diabetes, and hypothyroid condition. On September 2009, my primary care physician, Dr. Laura **, and the rheumatologist who works with her to treat me Dr. Viji **, prescribe 16 different medications for me every month, which I have been receiving for years from Walgreens pharmacy at 10300 Central SE, Albuquerque, NM 87123.

In September, Dr. Laura ** added ** to those daily medications, prescribing 75mg prescription per day to treat the hypothyroid condition. The pharmacy, however, added a 100mg prescription, which apparently came from Dr. Hohn **, a physician who I don't know. I've never heard of him, much less spoken with him. Given that I am accustomed to receiving all my medications at once at each month from the pharmacy, I simply took the prescriptions home and followed the instructions about what to take each day since Dr. ** had prescribed ** as a new medication. It never occurred to me to double-check the doctor's name on the prescription bottled, which was emitted in my name with all my other medications.

As a result, I took 175 mg of ** per day--100mg more than I should have been taking -- for more than seven months because the pharmacy continued to renew the prescription from Dr. Hohn ** every month.

In March 2010, I began to experience severe discomfort that I had not experienced before. The most important symptom being extreme itching sensations throughout my entire body. The itching condition continued for weeks, night and day, keeping me awake for 24 hours, and sometimes more. I finally made an appointment with Dr. Laura ** to assess what was going on. She ordered blood exam, which showed that I had far more ** in my system than was prescribed by her. She said that is a side effect that can occur from the excess use of the medication. This is when we looked at the prescription bottles and realized that the pharmacy had been giving me an extra unauthorized dose of 100mg, supposedly prescribed by Dr. Hohn **.

I called Dr. Hohn **'s office to inquire why this have happened. I was told that I'm not nor have been a patient of his (he only treats elderly people) and that they could not explain how this error happened.

Because the itching condition started in March, I was just hired by a tax preparation agency and I couldn't work as the agency expected, so I had a lost of 1500. I submitted a complaint to the New Mexico pharmacy board, but I never received an apology letter from Walgreens, until I submit a complaint directly to the main Walgreens office online.

The manager of the pharmacy in Walgreens called me to tell me that she was very sorry about what happened, and asked me what I wanted. I told her that I would like to see a big campaign advising patients to check carefully their medication bottles to avoid this kind of errors, and that I would like to be part of this campaign to talk about this nightmare I experienced. She said it was a good idea and she will share my proposal.

This conversation was almost eight months ago, but I didn't hear anything from them. Then I went to the pharmacy to ask her what the officers of Walgreens said about my proposal and she said that it takes time. I'm still waiting for them. This nightmare really affected me emotionally, because dealing with lupus is very hard to live with it, plus the extra symptoms from the reaction of the overdose of **. To all of you who are complaining about Walgreens for being such a terrible place, really? You have to understand that mistakes happen. I'm sorry if it was a very serious matter, but to the rest of you, you all need to understand that the employees at Walgreens are people just like you and me. You are just making other people’s lives harder by complaining all the time!

None of you understands what actually goes on in order to get a prescription to you. All you care about is what you need, not what the pharmacy needs to do in order for you to get your medication in a safe and timely manner. You never take into consideration to what else is happening around you. At the pharmacy, all you want is your drugs right now! ASAP (As Soon As Possible)! It is not that easy, trust me. When you drop your prescription off, you need to realize that there are fifty others before you that are sick as well, and they want their medications ASAP, as well. It is going to take a minute.

You also never take into consideration what the technicians or pharmacists are going through. You are allowed to have a bad day, but they are not? Also, to comment about pharmacy technicians merely being glorified cashiers, it was a very ignorant comment because you have no idea what they do. They do everything! The only thing that they aren't allowed to do is consult and check prescriptions that the technicians fill!

You all need to take a deep breath, and really appreciate the little things in life. Quit complaining about people trying to do their jobs. Do you think that magical elves are filling your prescriptions? No, of course not! They are human beings just like you! Maybe if, you would give them longer time, and not have everyone request that their prescription be done ASAP, there would not be as many mistakes. Just think about it!

Patience is a virtue people! Getting worked up about stupid things is not going to make anything easier or quicker. Why do it? You are just going to give yourself a heart/panic attack. Just face it, there is probably going to be a problem with something in your life, so why get so worked up? Just calm down, it will be okay. You don’t treat other people at other public places this way, so why treat the people who fill your medication with such disrespect? It will only make things worse. You would not appreciate it if someone came into your work and treated you in such a manner. You customers can be such inconsiderate, mean, selfish **holes. Thank you and have a good day.

I am a Physician Assistant and I have been treating patients with chronic pain for four years. I monitor every patient using the CURES program to monitor patients' prescription activities. I also alert unsuspecting medical providers if the patient is doctor shopping or we just let them know that we are treating the patient for his pain symptoms via, "Important Notice." I also do a drug screen on every patient, a blood panel, and we do an EKG to make sure the patient is physically safe to take pain medications. We also have the patients fill out questionnaires about their pain and a pain agreement stating the rules. We actually cut down pain medications that other doctors prescribe excessively, according to the patients' condition. Our pain program does more than any other program, probably in the state of California. I have treated probably over two thousand patients for chronic pain and I get referrals from other doctors in the area who send us patients to be treated for their pain.

I received an auto prescription request from a Walgreens store and they put on the top right of the prescription, "Beware of Pill Mill" about 15 months ago. I called the pharmacist and told them that we were no pill mill and that we did everything by the book. The pharmacist said, "I don't know how that got into the computer system." I told her to get it out of the system because it was not very ethical or professional for them to do this.

Then a month later, I got a call from two patients that had gone to a Walgreens in another location. They said, "The pharmacist will not fill our prescription and they said you are not licensed!" I called the pharmacist and told them that I was licensed and not to tell that to the patient again! The patient had to fill the prescription at another store. Then all of a sudden, I started getting all types of complaints by my patients, saying that Walgreens' pharmacist all over the place in California was telling them that I was not licensed or that I was a PA and could not prescribed medications, or that I should not be prescribing pain medications. I even had a pharmacy telling me that she was going to call the police on me and the medical director.

This thing with Walgreens is getting way out of control. They are telling these lies to hundreds and thousands of patients from other doctors as well. I have not investigated this, but I have over one hundred patients (direct witnesses) that Walgreens' pharmacists have told them that I don't have a license or some other type of bold lie. The funny thing is, when I prescribe an antibiotic or a schedule IV drug, Walgreens' pharmacy fills the prescriptions with no questions. But when I prescribe pain medications, they tell the patients that I am not licensed.

Walgreens is the only pharmacy doing this stuff and I don't know why. My last contact with a pharmacist was last week, when I called a pharmacist in Perris, California who I had spoken to in the past. Their pharmacy was bought out by Walgreens and the pharmacist said, "Guy, you never had a valid license when you worked here in Perris!" I told Dave, "If you tell another person that I don't have a license I will sue you for slander!" Then, I hung-up the phone in his face.

After reading your article on pharmaceutical software that is ineffective on reporting drug interactions, I thought I should let you know that even if there is no adverse drug interaction, the prescribed dosage of a single drug may exceed the limits of safety. I don't know if the software referenced in your article is geared toward singling out a prescribed overdose. But no one at Walgreens "caught" what could have been a dose that would cause me grievous harm. And indeed, I did spend some time in the hospital.

This pharmacy discriminated against me on more than one occasion because of the medication that I take. I was told that the reason they did not fill my prescription was because other people that take the same prescription only pick up partial prescriptions leaving the pharmacy with expensive backstock. My comment to that is, "So what, you are a pharmacy, I have insurance that pays in full for the prescription". Why is it a major deal to get it filled? When the Florida state legislature makes it illegal for pharmacies to dispense as much ** etc. to people without regard, I will not feel bad for Walgreens when they get laid off.

They could have been nicer to the good-paying customer with insurance and had me as a customer forever as I will be on this medication for the rest of my life. Walgreens does not know how to fill a prescription if they do not have it all in stock, they do not know how to process a coupon, and they do not know how to treat people in general. I would bet money that how they treat people is a direct result of their business practices in Florida with all the opiate dispensing that they do. Walgreens, I see you opening new stores everywhere, all those stores will be closed soon. One time, Walgreens told me that they could not fill my prescription because my doctor did not have a DEA license, the license number was on the top of the prescription! Get it together!

I have been with Walgreens for over 7 years. This is by far the worst store and management staff I have ever dealt with. I was off sick one Friday afternoon. They always give you a hard time when you call out sick. They say that you always need to go to the doctor and get an excuse even if it is only one day of missed work.

This day, I had a poison oak rash in a very discreet location, and along with it, on my lower back and legs. I couldn't get in to see the doctor that day. A physician's assistant (PA) who also is my neighbor who works for the doctor's office came over and gave me the diagnosis. She said that she would get me in to see the doctor on Monday, and she wrote me a doctor's note which she claims would go into my medical file on Monday.

I went to work the next day and gave an assistant manager on duty the note who immediately questioned its authenticity. I stated, "I am sorry you feel that way, but it is a real one." I was off the next two days, and I went back to work on Tuesday after visiting the doctor's office. After about an hour after my arrival, the manager, James **, along with an assistant manager Chris **, called me into the office.

At that point, I was told they had contacted the doctor's office and also faxed over a copy of the doctor's note to the doctor's office. They told him it wasn't a note from their office. I told them about the PA coming over and writing the letter. They automatically accused me of being a liar and kept making comments such as "Fess up, we know you wrote the note." and "You need to be honest with us and stop lying." I stuck to the truth but to no avail. They even insisted that I call the doctor's office and put it on speaker phone so they could hear it. And I was told to talk to the PA who wrote me the note and verify that I was a patient there and they wrote me a note to be excused from work.

I had never been so scared in my life, and the questioning was harassing. About 20 minutes later after enduring intense questioning, I started to have an anxiety attack. I was then told to go home by James **. He told me to call him tomorrow, and he gave me two choices to either resign or be terminated.

I contacted the doctor's office which stated that they were contacted by James ** who was asking about my medical status. The doctor's office insisted that none of my medical information was given to James, even though he was quite persistent. He did fax over my doctor's note to them. The office manager told me that she did tell James that the doctor note wasn't in the normal template that they use to write doctor excuses.

She then said that she couldn't however confirm or deny that it may have come from another source inside the office who did not use their normal template. The office manager did go on to tell me that a copy of the doctor's excuse that the PA wrote me was added to my medical file. However, this was done after she had spoken with the store manager about it.

After hearing all that, I called James and told him that I wasn't resigning, since I felt like I had done nothing wrong. He then said, "Well then, I am going to have to terminate you for dishonesty and fraud. I told him to call the doctor's office, and they would tell him that the doctor's excuse was legitimate. At that point, he said, "I have done all that I need to do. It's over."

I feel like I was wrongfully terminated. I called HR and Loss Prevention, but they were taking the manager's side. The doctor's office maintained that they never said the note was a fake, but rather, it wasn't in the normal template. I am shocked that people would do this kind of things to other people. What has this world come to?

This is quite a long story, and I apologize up front. But I need to give some background...This is somewhat of a 2-part story, but it ties together. I've been using this Walgreen's for years. I've had a few problems with them, but for the most part, the problems were so minimal, they could be forgiven. But what they have recently pulled is beyond forgiveness. They have crossed the line from professionalism to playing God!

My mother used to live with me. My mother was an alcoholic and an addict. She had pretty much quit drinking back in the late 1970's, but her addiction then turned to pills. In the beginning of 2010, when she was 75-years-old, she was recovering from congestive heart failure. Her doctor had prescribed ** for her because, being the addict she was, she convinced him she was 'oh so nervous' but in reality, she just loved the high she got from it; especially when she took many more than was prescribed.

In the beginning of 2010, she was in the hospital because of her heart condition. When she came home, she had a home nurse who would come in 3 days a week to help keep an eye on her health. When he first started coming, I informed him of her addiction to **. He then saw it for himself so it wasn't just my word against hers. I told him that the only way she could safely take the drug would be for me (or someone else) to administer it to her. He agreed so he called Walgreen's to inform them of the problem & to tell them not to give her prescriptions to anyone other than myself because one of the ways my mother would be able to abuse it was to go behind my back & call one of my sisters to go pick up her **. (They also have issues with drug abuse). Walgreen's was informed by a health professional that this elderly woman was an addict yet in their infinite wisdom, they decided they knew best!

Mom was prescribed a 10-day supply by her doctor & he would always give her refills. When she would get her refill, she would take a 10-day supply in two days! When she had taken them all she would do was start calling Walgreen's every single day until she could get a refill. This alone should have been a red flag for Walgreen's, but no!

On February 9, 2010, even though Walgreen's had been informed by my mother's R.N., on two separate occasions, not to allow anyone but myself to pick up her prescriptions, they allowed my younger sister to pick up her **, even though it wasn't due until 2/11. The prescription should have lasted her until, at the very minimum, the 19th, but her pills were gone by the 12th. She started to go into withdrawals, but because her heart was so weak from the congestive heart failure, she died on February 13, 2010. If Walgreen's had been more vigilant, she might still be alive.

I am disabled due to many health problems. My doctor is fully aware of all my problems and prescribes my medicine accordingly. I do take a controlled substance (pain medication) & due to some of my medical problems, I do need to occasionally refill a couple of days soon. Well, Walgreen's, again in their infinite wisdom, has decided they know better than my doctor, and won't refill my medicine until they feel I should receive them.

Now, if I thought they were just concerned for my health, I wouldn't mind this quite as much, but the way they've handled it is so unprofessional as to make me take my business elsewhere. Instead of being somewhat honest with me, one pharmacist (unfortunately I didn't get her name) decided I didn't need to get my refills as soon as my doctor was prescribing it for me (even though she knows my health problems intimately). I wouldn't have expected her to come right out and say "I think you're taking your medication excessively, and you may be an addict!” However, if she had had an ounce of professionalism, she would have said something to the effect of, "It's our policy not to refill this medication any earlier than this date unless we have express notification from your doctor". But, no! Instead, she flat out lied to me telling me a ** & bull story about there being a state law that it couldn't be filled earlier than every 27 days. Even though my doctor sees fit to refill it early because she's aware of all my health problems and my insurance will even cover it without saying "refill too soon".

In short, I will never use this Walgreen's again for any reason; and possibly not any Walgreen's.

I can't write everything down as five hours later, I'm still very upset. This Walgreens has huge problems with courtesy, professionalism and service. It's the only business where I've seen any cashier go on break when there are 10+ people in line and no one to take their place. It's the only business I've been to where a manager rolls her eyes at the customer for having to explain an issue.

It's sadly one of a growing number of business that employs cashiers who respond with, "huh?" "what?" "yeah?" I was born in 1982. I am not 80 years old and I think that is so rude! I know that they make employees watch videos prior to employment, stressing how and why they should be courteous. Walgreens also employs a "pharmacy tech" who think that Ebonics is the nation's language. It's not; it's very rude. When the person is handing me a bottle of lethal substance, I don't want to hear, "What's your address?" It's frightening.

This Walgreens also openly discriminates people who take "controlled substances." I got addicted to opiates partly because Walgreens used to fill a single month Rx, five times in the same week. Before Rx abuse became glamorized on TV dramas like "House," Walgreens didn't care if you were 29 days early. They didn't care if you didn't have any refills, they would just take my money and sell me drugs. Something also tells me that by the hundreds of times that I did this from 2002-2004, it wasn't a careless mistake or lack of vigilance. I think that it had to do with the company making money. When a $50 Rx becomes $250, who wins?

I've gone into treatment and am now on an opiate detox medicine. Now, I can't even get that filled on a normal basis. They scrutinize every record I have and even if they think they're right, they refuse to fill it. They don't protect, they discriminate. Because that's never happened with insulin. **, you don't even need an Rx; they'll give you a dose until you see your doctor. Honestly, I think that they have a list on how to turn happy normal customers into raging homicidal maniacs. Over the years, I have seen about five to six people flip out to the point of cops coming due to courtesy and not crediting accounts after their "techs" messed up. This has been unique to Walgreens only.

Well, I almost got to that point today! After waiting in line with a bunch of ill people for one hour and 10 minutes, I was told, like I usually am, that my Rx was too early to be filled. You see, this is normal for Walgreens. Why tell you right away? Make the customer wait for over an hour first! I don't take anymore than what is prescribed now, so I knew that there was a mistake. The "pharmacy technician" (that's the biggest joke for a glorified cashier and shelf stocker) got the pharmacist. The pharmacist was certain that I was a junkie from her first rude comment, then helped out even more by rolling her eyes in front of my face. She then printed my Rx out and it showed that the doctor had made a typo. You could see her smile from proving me wrong.

Mind you, this is the third refill, and "you shouldn't had gotten the others filled," said the pharmacist. Forget the fact that I've been taking the same amount for the past two years, forget the fact that you can easily misinterpret what was written as it was a typo (7 tabs for 14 days vs. 14 tabs for 7 days). You see, these "pharmacists don't even need a brain because they aren't allowed to make educated decisions. They probably got caught over-filling Rx's so now they watch like hawks.

Now, I'm left without the medicine that I need until I can see the doctor and pay him $100 first, of course. Then, I need to go back to financially support Walgreens so I can live a normal life trying to better myself. I could say "forget it" and go down buy some heroin and overdose. We, addicts, don't need anymore stress than life already gives us for free. It makes getting better much more difficult. This is the second time that I've been without my medicine due to another person's negligence. First, it was the pharmacy; now, it's the doctor's typographical error.

The employees at Walgreens make you feel like dirt, especially if you get controlled medicines prescribed. They will treat you with suspicion, and give you a biased attitude. Even the "real" pharmacist at this store feels that they not need be kind or professional. I really feel like I'm disturbing some rude teenager in the middle of a date, more than trying to get my medicine at a professional pharmacy. I also feel that Ebonics is the last place on earth for a pharmacy. People are trying to get their medicines and leave, not listen to Lil' Kim and Jay-Z rap about street life.

If you are in any position to do anything at the Walgreens in Lombard, IL, please bring this to someone that actually does their job. Because out of four complaints with managers, I'm beginning to feel that the complaints aren't taken up with anybody. The same tech still takes her lunch if there is 10+ people in line, another tech continues to speak Ebonics, and all of your female pharmacists (I'm so not sexist) act like teenage valley girls. These people could make a mistake very easily--whether the pharmacists are paying to much attention to their facebook discussions, or "Lil' Kim" could get things lost in translation from Ebonics to English.

Even though someone may take a "controlled medicine," it doesn't mean that they're an automatic scumbag. If you can afford your medicine elsewhere, I would do it, but everywhere else is at least $15 more so I cannot.

Without this medication, I suffer from severe migraine or headaches that require for additional medication. On 12/20/10, I went to pick up what I thought was the same prescriptions; however, when I was about to take the medication, the tablet was very small and white in color.

I was very concerned and immediately called the pharmacy. They supposedly double-checked their computer and said "We don't make mistakes like that." I was astonished at their reply. I told them that I had been taking the same medication for years, and I knew it wasn't the right medication. Then the pharmacist checked with a manager and said "Oh, we apologize we gave you the 20-mg tablet."

But the strange part is that even the label on the jar and the attached "personal prescription information" said that it was 200-mg and a blue tablet. The pharmacists then said, "Can you bring it over?" I said that I wouldn't be able to until the following day and asked that if they were sure it was only a lower dosage, if I would be able to just take 8 tiny pills to make the 200 mg. She said, "No, we need them all accounted for and you need to bring them back today, because we need to make sure that we get the same ones back."

I was not in the ability to go back to the pharmacy, and then after a long time on hold, the lady said okay and that they need to have the exact amount back. The reason for this is because previously, I have been issued a prescription with wrong labels. I was told that I would be getting 30 pills/tablets, and I would only receive approximately 25 or 26 pills only. When I expressed my concern, yet again, I was told that they don't make any mistakes and that I was wrong. What can be done to hold them accountable for their mistakes?

We went back to the pharmacy to check with the pharmacist on some of those we were unfamiliar with and he was most helpful, looking up each one, telling us if the store had it in stock and some of the prices. We have no complaint regarding his services, in fact, we’re very grateful for his assistance. We also got some others off the shelf in the vitamin aisle to purchase.

When we got to the check-out and the girl began to ring up our purchases, they were not ringing up correctly as to what we thought we were paying. I said, "Those are buy one, get one free." She snapped, "Not this kind," and said another brand name. I said, "Those were in a box which has a sign that they are buy one, get one free." She replied, "Did you look under the green paper?" We turned to go back and look under the green paper thinking we had missed something. She called the manager of the store. We looked under the green paper, expecting to find a price, but only saw the word "free." Then went to the aisle and put the bottles back. Going back to the end cap, 2 people were standing there. One said the vitamins were not on sale until January 2, 2011. (It was written on the box in small letters.) The only thing the manager said was, "I'll take that," when I was attempting to replace one of the twin packs. No apology, no anything else.

Whoever heard of putting merchandise out in a large display and expecting people to pay a double price for 5 days before the sale actually started just by placing a small piece of paper over the word "free." We put everything back, even the pack of gum in our basket and left the store thoroughly disgusted. We went to another pharmacy where everything was marked and purchased most of the vitamins there. I have been a customer of Walgreens for years and have never had an experience like this, in fact, have found their employees to be helpful and pleasant almost always. I was embarrassed by their very poor customer service in front of my friend whom I had told that Walgreens was a great place to get what she needed.

I purchased a $20 phone calling card, tried to use it and it cut the call off before it connected. It would deduct a minute after each attempt. After 3 attempts, I called the customer service number on the card and reported the problem. They told me they would report the problem but they did not guarantee the card and I could not get a refund. I went to the store where I purchased and the manager told me that there are no refunds. So I am left holding a $20 card. No one should ever purchase one of their cards or anything from Walgreens because they won't stand behind the products they sell.

I requested the refill for two medicines online. I was not sure if the refill was available so I took the prescription to Walgreens, Mowry Ave., Fremont, CA. The lady on the counter checked and said that the refills are available. She said that my medicines are almost ready and if I wait for five minutes, I can take the medicines. They made me wait for almost 45 minutes and finally told me that one medicine is out of stock. They don't care about people's time.

The next day, I went to the store to buy some chocolates for Christmas gifts. They had a big sign saying two packs of 12 or 15 of Rocher chocolates for $5.00. I picked up the pack of 15 when I went to the counter and they told me that it is $7.00 per pack. I told them that their board says two packs for $5.00. The manager had no answer and said, "No, it is different." I advised him to show me how it is different from what it says on the board and he told me that he does not want to sell it to me. If they do not want to sell it at the displayed price, why do they attract customers by displaying one rate and charging a different rate? The manager was very rude and has no customer service skills.

I took three prescriptions in due to a chest infection. My doctor prescribed an antibiotic, cough medicine and a refill on my pain medication. I waited and they took my prescription, I waited on-site 15 minutes and when they called me, they said they could not access the co-pay information from my insurance company. I needed my medication, so I asked if I could pay cash and then when the computers were working if they could reimburse me. She said that would be fine and also said that she would set me up with a text messaging system that would alert me when it was ready for pickup.

So, I left and within 20 minutes, I received 3 text messages, one stating I was signed up, the next a follow up to the sign up, and the third saying my prescription was not ready for pickup. Then about an hour later, I received a text saying my prescription was ready. This is now 4 text messages later.

I went back to the pharmacy after being home, sick and I was told that they were not ready. So I was upset and said then why did they text me. They said they will personally call my insurance. So I waited another 20 minutes and then paid cash, only because she assured me I would be reimbursed when the insurance comes back with the response.

I went home, with only one of my medications. This was 54.00. I then received another 4 text messages from Walgreens with random not ready, ready for pickup. I then received a voicemail message stating that I needed to bring back my medication immediately if I wanted to be reimbursed; otherwise, I would have to pay full price, since it was too early for a refill. I was upset, because I still have not received my antibiotics or cough syrup. They charged me more than double with the assumption that they would bill my insurance, and isn't it their responsibility not to honor a refill if the date is too early? I don't track my dates of refill.

So I want to file a complaint that they acted unprofessionally, and charged me extra due to their mistake and I still have not received the really strong antibiotics that were needed to start that day. Also, I was told I'd get two text messages and I have received 8.

I went to Duane Reade 2 days ago to buy some stuff but the card machine didn't work. A worker said it happened because of rain. So I returned all my purchase and left there. The cashier said my card didn't go through. Next day, I was checking my transaction record at the bank and then I found out they charged $59.85 on my debit card. I went to the store right after the bank and asked them to refund it. The store manager told me to go back to the bank and asked them to print out the record on bank statement. Then they can refund right away. So I went back to the bank, they printed a sheet of "Transaction Detail" and put a stamp of the branch on it.

But the assistant manager didn't accept the paper. He even told me to wait for the bank statement coming in the end of this month saying why I cannot wait for it. The casher working the day before was there and she remembered me. She approved the charge was accidentally happened. But his attitude was very rude. He ignored me and treated me like I was asking him money. I went back to the bank again and asked them to print out the statement including wrong transaction. I'm going to Duane Reade again today, this time to talk to the manager. If they don't accept the statement, I'll be back to this site. I won't be back to the Duane Reade (196 3rd Avenue) again!

About the same as I've read, getting your actual prescriptions in hand almost always involves a major wait - during which time all there to do is shop or sit. I've tried multiple times to get all my prescriptions at once. I have called ahead and gotten filled response. But when you get there, it's always the same. Something happens and you have to wait. It has happened so often to many others. I’m beginning to think it is Walgreens’ policy to keep people waiting in the store no matter what. The management at the store could not have cared less. They didn't even directly address me. There has to be a better pharmacy in NOLA.

Walgreens filled one of my daughter's medicines with the wrong medicine. The prescription (which she has been on since April 2009) was ** and instead they prescribed her **. The dosage, quantity, color, taste, smell and consistency of both medications were exactly the same. I only noticed the difference in medication when I was calling in the refill and noticed the name of the medication was different. I immediately went on the internet to confirm it wasn't a generic brand of the same medication. It was actually an anti-seizure medication. My daughter is already on an anti-seizure medicine and the ** is prescribed to counteract the toxins of her other medication.

Not only that, we come to find out that the wrong medicine is about double the dose for a 2 year old. So two issues presented: 1) she wasn't getting the needed offset medicine - ** and 2) she was taking a double dose of a second anti seizure medicine. Second error, once I went to Walgreens about their error, they quickly filled the correct medication. They again made an error. They filled it under her old prescription for 2.8 ml per dose when her new prescription (the one they messed up originally) was for 3.0 ml. When I approached them about that error, they said "sorry, we were just trying to get you out of here in a hurry"). I wanted to let them know that errors like that can cause and do cause deaths. They really need to watch out. Two mistakes on the same prescription?

All Walgreen's employees were just standing around in a panic, non were caring for her - one was calling 911. When I heard the page I was at the front of the store. When I got to an aisle where the Pharmacy Staff could see me coming they were just jumping around and calling me. None of the Staff were caring for my daughter (I thought she had died). When I got to where my child was, a customer was tending to her. (I had to ask for a damp rag and some water several times - the employees just acted dumbfounded and were no help. My son doesn’t wear diapers no more and while at the store, he let me know he had to go to the restroom. I asked the employee at the cashier if my son could use the restroom and he said to ask the other employee who said no and I told him my son really has to go, it’s an emergency. But he still didn’t let us use the restroom. At that point, I was very upset and I saw the manager walk by so I asked her instead. She, as well as the other employees, said no because they had just cleaned the restroom. Once again, I told them it’s an emergency and that my son doesn’t use diapers. She raised her shoulders and said, "So?" By that time my son had already wet his pants. I was so upset so I left the merchandise and walked out feeling embarrassed and very irritated.

I am tired of going to the Walgreens store to purchase something that is advertised that you receive register rewards then you do not get them. They always try to tell you it is not the right item or size or box or something. If I pick the box that is shown in the ad, why would they tell me it is not correct? Usually I know what it is I want to be purchasing. I am not going back to the store. Even if they would give me rewards now, the next item I was going to use the rewards for with other mfg coupons would no longer be on sale. Why does the general public put up with these stores and their garbage advertising? I am simply mad and this is the tenth time this has happened. No more Walgreens.

For the past couple of years, we have been using this location to fill nearly all of my family's prescription needs. We have used other Walgreens locations as well, but this one in particular seems to have the most problems.

On Thursday, September 23, 2010, my wife went to this location to pick up my prescription medication. The prescription was for 20 ** tablets, which is a 10-day supply. After opening the pill bottle on, I realized that I had only been given 12 pills, which meant I was shorted by 8 pills. I placed a call to the pharmacy, and the head pharmacist answered my call. I explained to her what the problem was, and asked if it was an insurance issue. I thought that it was possible the insurance company might have only authorized a 5-day supply instead of a 10-day supply. Still, it would make little sense considering there were 12 pills, and I was to only consume one pill twice a day. She quickly told me that I should have received 20 pills, not just 10, and that she would check her pill count for that particular medication. After waiting several minutes on the phone, she came back and said, I apologize for the error. It looks like you are correct. We must have shorted you the 8 pills because I am way over on my pill count. Come in and pick up your medication when you have time.

This is not the first time my family and I have encountered this problem with Walgreens (this location as well as the 5600 W. Belmont location in Chicago, IL). My mother and father have been given the wrong medication entirely in the recent past. They have also been given far less medication than they were supposed to as well. The last time my mother went to Walgreens she was shorted by about 15 pills.

Each and every time my sons are prescribed liquid medication from Walgreens, we feel as though we are being seriously short changed. When my sons have been prescribed antibiotics, they are given a 5-day dosage by their pediatrician. Each and every time, we are lucky if we get a full 4-day supply out of it. We know for certain that we are giving them the exact required dosage because we use the measuring devices provided to us by Walgreens. I have even gone the extra mile to measure the measuring devices to make sure they are in fact accurate. They are always accurate, so that tells me that Walgreens is not giving me the proper dosages.

In closing, I will be filing as many complaints as I possibly can against Walgreens. They are doing this too consistently for it to be a mistake!
