Very very upset with CVS Pharmacy on 118-10 Queens Blvd on Forest Hills, not the first time giving wrong medication or forgetting. I was there to pick my medicine for my daughter ** and ** so I picked it up and when I come home to give it to my daughter I see a paper that says don’t give it to the customer before reconstitute the order. So I called the pharmacy and after being on hold for like 30 minutes I tell the girl, “Am I supposed to mix this medication myself?” She said, “No just give the liquid,” and without asking for the name who the medication was for. I told her, “Can you please check,” so I have to give her my daughter’s name and she said that medication was given to me without getting prepared and I was like, “Why,” her answer was, “Oh well the girl on the counter for the pharmacy usually works on the front for the CVS but today she’s here to help us today.”
I got really mad and I told her, “How can you have someone that doesn’t know giving out the medicine!!!” Her answer was hanging up the phone at me. I try calling back at the pharmacy and no one would picked up the phone. So I had to call the manager of the store and explain what happened. He apologized and I went there again.
So the pharmacist, the one that actually prepares the prescriptions not the one answered the phone, came to me and apologized so I told her, “How come you have someone in the counter giving out medicine when she has a paper on it to not give it to me and still giving it to me and doesn’t know anything about it. How can you allow that person working there?” First her answer was “I’m sorry. She’s just ringing and helping” and I told her, “How dare you hang up the phone on customers,” and the girl that actually was rude and hang up on me first said “Jesus such a big deal.” I asked for her name but the pharmacist said, “Doesn’t matter. I’m giving you my name,” I mean I don’t get it. The pharmacist name was **. She wouldn’t give me any last name or other person.
I’m sorry but how could these people work in these places. What if I had giving the wrong medication to my 4 year old daughter, how can you be so unresponsible and rude!!! I will definitely not go there again, I’m 8 and a half months pregnant with gestational diabetes and they also messed up my prescription couple of times. I’m very very upset how this pharmacy works...

Nurse called to place order. I followed up with CVS Specialty that same day and provided payment information. I was told the medicine would be delivered the next day (when I was suppose to take it). I received part of the order but not the medicine that I needed to take that day. I called to find out why, was put on hold for over 20 minutes, then was told they would call me back when they figured out where the medicine was. I asked that the team leader call me back every half hour with updates as she agreed, since I needed to determine if I needed to go to the emergency room to get the medicine. 40 minutes later no call.
I called in attempt to track the medicine and was told R.R.Donnelley (splg?) would deliver the medicine no later than 7:30 pm. 7:30 came and went. I called CVS Specialty at 8:10 pm, the supervisor eventually told me they didn't know where the medicine was, that the contact person had gone home for the day. While I was still on the phone with the supervisor the medicine was delivered at 8:30 pm. When I complained that CVS didn’t know where the medicine was the delivery person said she just drove 4 hrs and she didn’t know why they didn’t know, all they had to do was call CourierNet (splg?). After much stress and wasted time on many people's part, I got my medicine (late).

So we dropped off the list of prescriptions that was given to my mother from the hospital. The pharmacy Gave us the insulin but did not inform us that the sticks were not included to give my mom the shot when her sugar is high and we called the CVS on university and the pharmacist Tony ** was not helpful at all and was not willing to call the hospital for them to give the ok over the phone for it. And we told him her sugar was high and the pharmacist said well to take her back to the hospital. That pharmacist Tony ** was a jerk and not helpful at all! That’s why I think Walgreens has better customer service than CVS.

I have to use CVS Specialty mail order. My prescriptions per month are very costly, so I use a co-pay assistance card. My out of pocket deductible is met by February so I only pay $55.00 for the rest of the year, CVS started billing for the full amount again in May and have since collected a total of $15,114.70 and have now maxed out my co-pay cards and require me to pay $1365.17 to refill. Their response is co-pay cards no longer apply to deductibles. How is this legal? That is the purpose of a co-pay card. Now I cannot afford to get a refill and stopping my medication can have life threating effects.

On the morning of 15 Dec 2017 at approximately 0900 I stopped by the CVS on North-South street in Nacogdoches Texas to purchase meds for the flu and syringes for my family's allergy shots. Just last month I did this exact same thing with no problems. However, on this morning something changed. I was told by the pharmacist that I could not purchase syringes unless I have a prescription for them. I thought this was quite odd because I had no problem purchasing them the month before. So, I asked the pharmacist if there was a policy change or what was going on? I admit that I was in sweat pants and shirt and looking like I had the flu which I did have but that was not reason to deny me services.
I asked her again was this store policy and she said "yes it is", so I asked to see the policy since these things are in writing and she fumbled with words for a second or two and said "you just can't buy them unless you have a prescription or something", OK, I said and told her that I would get a prescription from my doctor and I will be back. So, I stopped at the local Walmart store on my way to the doctor to see if they would ask for a prescription as well. I walked into the Walmart went to the pharmacy and asked for syringes for my family's allergy shots and was sold 80 syringes for $23.00 dollars. Now I got back to CVS on North-South street and spoke to the manager to clear things up but was met with resistance for the pharmacy manager.
I asked the question "was I being profiled because of the way I was dressed?" and they no that wasn't the case and that I should speak to the head pharmacist who was coming on at 3:00 pm that evening. At 3:00 that evening I called the pharmacy and spoke with Mr. ** about his policy. Instead of speaking with me about his policy he kept asking me for my information, to the effect of "what is your address, and what is your phone number. I thought that was a little invasive and asked "what does that have to do with it" and he said "I need this information so I can fix the problem" and I said you don't need that information now. He grew angry and told me "don't you ever call this number again". Needless to say I hang up the phone and will be filing charges against this pharmacy.

CVS PHARMACY Hesperia Rd/Bear Valley Rd - I went and tried to drop off my son's prescription for a simple antihypertensive medication called **. First the lady that came to the counter told me that she had to ask the pharmacist if she could take the prescription. I waited about 5 more minutes for the pharmacist to tell me a lie. She told me that my insurance which is IEHP an Inland Empire Insurance had set up a new requirement starting December 1st where there would be a second verification needed in order for me to get my son's prescription. I called my son's old Pharmacy which is at Stater Brothers on 395 highway and Palmdale Road and ask them if that were true.
The lady who answered said it went through without this so-called verification that the pharmacist lied about at CVS. I'm upset that a pharmacist decided to lie to me and that she should have a higher professional standard than such. I'm embarrassed actually because I'm a former nurse and never expect someone in that line of work to violate the code of ethics. I am not only reporting this to this department but I'm going to be reporting it to a Better Business Bureau and whatever regulating agencies that regulate conduct for pharmacist.

This message is to confirm the experience of Jack from Oklahoma, who has been kind enough to share his experience with price gouging at CVS. Well, that practice is happening here in Indiana, too! For most of the year, my copay for ** eye drops has been $30 for a monthly fill. But, CVS wanted to charge over $270 for the copay in November. I said to the pharmacist that it was outrageous, and how could the price jump so much and that I would be calling the pharmacy benefits management department (CVS Health) to find out if there was an error of some kind.
The lady I spoke with in benefits management said that there was no error, and that the co-pay price quoted was correct. When I asked why it went up so much (more than QUINTUPLED in price!). She said she wasn't sure but said that maybe a coupon of some kind had been applied to bring the price down. I said that I myself hadn't used any coupons. She said that maybe the pharmacist had applied one without reporting it. I asked whether there was any record of a coupon being used. After all, CVS is a HUGE corporation and if they can record coupons being used for general retail merchandise, they should have a way to record when a coupon has been used on a prescription. She said that they don't do that. Hmmm. Essentially, the price shot way up and no one seems to have a clue why!
But, perhaps I may have a little clue why. It's near the end of the year. It's the fourth quarter. I believe that they are trying to boost their earnings at the end of the year by gouging customers who are forced to use CVS by their insurance carriers! A member of my extended family shared with me that she, too, saw the price of her asthma medications go through the proverbial roof recently. There is definitely some pattern here.
For those of you who may be wondering... No, I'm still a few years away from being eligible for Medicare. So, no, the jacked up price is not because we're in a Medicare "donut hole." No. Not at all. There was a flat reasonably priced fee for our co-pay until November when it went way up. To make matters more annoying, they have called twice in one day to remind me about a prescription pick-up! Hello, CVS! Wake up! Maybe if you didn't price gouge, people wouldn't procrastinate in picking up prescriptions!

My husband recently bought a sock slider from CVS for me. I just went to CVS and returned it without the receipt, since my husband wasn't with me. Being a regular customer, I figured I'd just get a credit slip, and buy some medications with the credit slip while I was there. So, the kid (Ben) at the register says it's going to be $9.99. credit back to me. I told him my husband told me the sock slider was around $20. (We had bought a few different kinds since I have been having trouble putting on my compression stockings). Ben said, "No, it's $9.99". So I kind of shrugged, figure my husband was wrong and I got the gift receipt. Then I went and got some medications and shopped at for some Christmas items. Going down the aisles I saw the sock slider on the shelf for $19.99. I knew it!
I went up to the counter with the box and got Ben's attention, saying "I knew it was more than that, see? $20!" So I tell him I want the gift card adjusted, and he says he can't. He calls the manager, who is appears to be another person under 21, and then he came over and said they can't change it and that I only got $9.99 because the sock slider was on sale for $9.99 in the last 90 days. I said, well, Ben should have said something when I said it should be more than $10. So I said, "Well then, I want you to give me my item back so I can return it WITH the receipt.” Nope. Not allowed! What? He said he already did the return and now it's too late. I haven't even left the store, my God.
I couldn't believe it! So I ask for the manager. Matt, who looked about 20, never once made eye contact and mumbled that he could not give me back my item and couldn't change the store credit. I said that's wrong, so wrong!! What if I call my husband who had the receipt, showing we paid $20. Nope. Can't do it, he said, company policy.
I said this is unacceptable, and asked to speak to his manager. He said he was the manager. I said, “Well, surely there is someone who is YOUR boss, I'd like to speak to that person, because the store is ripping me off.” He said he would call his manager, Jessica, who was not at work. He came back and apologized and said it was store policy and they could not do anything at all for me, and that was the store policy over and over. I couldn't believe they were going to get away with this kind of dirty business practice and basically steal $10 from me just like that! It's the principle of the matter. I asked Matt for his manager Jessica's number so I could speak to her, but he said I'd have to call corporate.
So I asked for corporate's number, but he said he doesn’t have corporate's number! What? So I asked him to call Jessica then and get the number from her. Some management material this kid is, who can't even make eye contact and mumbles when he talks, and has zero people skills whatsoever. So, fuming mad, still at the counter, I called corporate. They're closed, wonderful. My box containing the sock slider, was visible, 5 feet away behind the counter, and a crummy 50% credit slip on a product that I bought fair and square for double that, and absolutely NO way to rescind the return, because of store policy. The store's employees and the store's Policy really need to be addressed.
The problems here are, #1 Ben should have told me when I said thought my husband paid a lot more than $10, that was only $10 because it was on sale for $10 in the last 90 days, whereupon, I would have retained the sock slider and not signed for the return. And Matt, the manager should have been more helpful, (or at least acted like he cared), but instead, his mumbling and lack of eye contact, his nonchalant attitude was infuriating to say the least. This was WRONG! They should have taken their credit slip back and given me back the sock slider. Or at LEAST let my husband come with the receipt. But according to Matt, if I'd had the receipt in my wallet and found it right then, it still would have not mattered. So CVS basically stole my money because of their "Store Policy" makes it legal. Not all that is legal is right, and this is plumb WRONG, bad business, bad customer service!

I know this opioid crisis is bad but I have rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, lupus, and fibromyalgia. The pain I'm in is real. My doctors prescribed my medications. They have a computer that is linked to each other. The pharmacist at CVS has taken it upon herself to withhold my medications even after the doctor herself told her to give it to me. She has made me feel as though I am an addict and because of her I am embarrassed to go back to that CVS. I would also like to add that I do not smoke or drink. My own doctors have in my charts that I am at low risk for dependency.

A recent experience with CVS was a disaster from the point I needed to talk to a store clerk. I do not have my prescriptions auto refilled by the computer system because the machine does not know if I happen to miss a day or 2 and starts blowing up my phone before I am ready for a refill. I use the website that CVS has set up where I tick the box on the prescriptions I want to refill and confirm. The website knows what location I pick up my prescriptions and allows me to print out the confirmation of where and when the prescriptions will be ready for pick up. I hand the printed confirmation letter to the store clerk at 12:05 on that date at that location. She looks at it and says, I quote: "What is this, I have never seen this before". All she has to do is read and she will know but apparently CVS store clerks cannot read, so I tell her that it is a confirmation to pick up my prescriptions, they are ready at this location.
She mumbles something and proceeds into the corner to do something on the computer, asking for my information, vis-a-vis, my name, date of birth and so on. Still in the corner mumbling I give a huff at the counter showing my mimic of her actions. She immediately comes at me with major attitude saying and I quote again: "Is there a problem because I am trying to help you and I have never seen this before". Wow, if she is frustrated at not knowing something about her job you cannot ever give that attitude and frustration to the customer ever, ever, ever. I tell her to just give me back the confirmation letter and I leave the store.
I proceed to my car and drive to my son's house 1 minute away to babysit my newborn granddaughter. I no sooner sit down with my son and I receive a text message on my phone from CVS. The text message states "Your prescriptions are ready to be picked up at your CVS location." It is quite fine because I am a disabled veteran and have nothing better to do than to drive back and forth to CVS because they are so messed up and incompetent. I make so much money living on disability that I can keep putting gas in my car just so I can make unnecessary trips back and forth to CVS. Having a system in place is a wonderful thing indeed, but having the competent, respectful, professional, well trained humans to implement that system is required and CVS does not have that. Unhappy irate customer!

On 11/22/17, I parked at CVS 2300 Jefferson Davis Hwy to get lunch from Kabob next door to CVS a $.99 water from CVS. Parked on the CVS side but went into Kabob 1st to get carry out. When I came out to go into CVS for my water, my car was gone. CVS manager couldn't provide any information about towing; a clerk eventually allowed me to use the phone to call Advanced Towing Company. Took a cab to Advanced at 4000 N. 5th Rd., Arlington, VA. The cab driver told me that Advanced Towing truck sits around the corner on the CVS parking lot; their men stand outside of the CVS watching to see who's parked in the wrong space then tows their car.
My car cost $135.00. After getting it I drove back to CVS... The tow truck was again parked at the rear of the CVS (see photo); the drivers were standing on the front side of CVS (see photo). See the confusing No Parking signs... In a matter for 30 feet or less, there're 3 different No Parking signs...1- reads: Parking for CVS; another reads: Parking for CVS & Kobob; and a 3rd sign reads: Parking for Kobob. CVS seems to be collaborating with Advanced Towing Company in "predatory towing" in that they allow Advanced Towing to park on their lot to quickly and easily tow customers' vehicle.

I explained to her it's usually a bit high when I go to the doctor because I get anxiety upon doctor visits. She said if it didn't go down she would have to call the ambulance which made it spike even more. She never even attempted to make me feel more comfortable. I see a cardiologist and he always jokes with me about my "white coat anxiety..." but she was an absolute ** from the start. She got everything wrong from... My wife & I have traded with CVS for several years and have been completely satisfied. We also have Express Scripts insurance. Last week, I picked up a refill at CVS for my wife & it seemed entirely too high, but I assumed I must be mistake. Yesterday I picked up 2 more refills for my wife. This time I knew something was wrong & asked for a printout of her medications for 2017. When I examined it, I found that 1 refill that normally cost $2.62 now cost $44.63. Another that was &1.99 was now $44.00. I went on Express Scripts's site & learned that all of the CVS stores in the Oklahoma City area were charging the exact same prices for these prescriptions. All the other drug stores in Oklahoma City were charging about $12.00 to $14.00 for these 2 prescriptions. How can CVS do this to their loyal customers? As seniors, we must be aware of pricing of medications & change suppliers if necessary.

I have a prescription for vitamin B2 that I have had filled for over a year at the same location. Normally I fill a one month supply for around $8. However, due to the fact that my doctor plans to have me continue it for a long period of time she changed the amount I was getting to a 3 month supply. Yes, I also realize I can purchase these over the counter but due to the high volume I need to take the doctor thought it would be cheaper to do a prescription. While trying to fill this 3 month prescription I went to CVS 4 times in one week. They had terrible communication with me. They never reached out to say it wasn't ready even though they verbally gave me a time it would be and the CVS application told me it was ready as well.
The last time I had spoken to them was on Tuesday when they told me another incorrect ready date of Wednesday and I asked them to call me so I wouldn't make another pointless trip. I did not receive a call 'til late on Saturday. On Tuesday, the woman I talked to told me insurance didn't cover my prescription but didn't tell me why and also told me that the new, larger prescription would be around $25. On Sunday, I asked my grandmother who was in town to pick up my prescription for me. It was $42! When my grandmother tried to ask why, I am told, the cashier was rude to her and said it wasn't covered by insurance and was a larger supply. Even a larger supply should only be $24 since for one month I was paying $8. This is not the first time I have dealt with their inability to communicate and their rudeness but it will be the last because I will be taking my business elsewhere.

CVS charged up to 8.75 times more for generic medications that are only $4 at Walmart, and many other pharmacies. CVS charged the $35 dollar insurance copay rather than the no-insurance cost which is less (as low as $4.00). I used CVS for 2 decades, but I will never use CVS again. Consumers need to be warned. Pharmaceuticals are ripping off people. People should shop around, because prescription prices vary greatly. Some medication prices can vary by many hundreds of dollars. CVS is one of the most expensive, and CVS also does not inform customers that the non-insurance price is less than their copay. That is dishonest and greedy.

I have insurance but it doesn't cover the particular medication I take so I pay for it out of pocket and that's fine by me. Not everyone lives on/off government programs and we get by just fine without it. After having left CVS (for poor customer service) for my many prescriptions, I decided to give them another chance because they are geographically convenient. First, I tried to transfer my prescriptions from another pharmacy by loading them online (CVS.com). There were 9 of them, so it took quite a while to get the info added. When I "hit" "transfer", the screen came back indicating that they were having computer problems and I should try again. I tried just one of the prescriptions and got the same result. A couple of days later I took a typed list of prescriptions into the local store and asked them to transfer them. They said it would take 24 - 48 hours. They were not completed for 72 hours.
When I went in the store to pick them up, I discovered that 2 of the 9 prescriptions were only filled for 30 days instead of 90 days. When I asked them to correct them, they stated their computer system was down and they couldn't check anything or fix anything (if they were wrong). I overheard a tech talking with someone else behind the counter, when she was investigating the problem. She said (loud enough for me to hear) "doesn't he know how many hundreds of dollars that would cost him?". 24 hours later they told me the system had been up and down since the previous day and nothing could be done because it was still down.
When I explained that I was leaving town for a period of time longer than the period they had filled the prescription for, their response was "sorry." They told me I could refill the prescription at the end of 30 days (assuming their computer was back up by then... Sorry... That's just my sarcasm). Of course that means the cost to me will be increased because a 90 day prescription is cheaper than 3 - 30 day prescriptions... And... I do not drive so I have to arrange transportation with someone else (or pay for transportation).
I asked if I could arrange to transfer the prescriptions now and was told "No, the computer is down. Call back when it is up. We can fix it when the computer is up." Did I mention that I have been trying to change my address in their records since I moved over 3 years ago? 5 days ago, when I was in the store they did change it, but to an incorrect address. And the computer database on CVS.com still has the old address. When getting a prescription filled I demand accuracy. I spoke with Mike (a CVS at home delivery pharmacist) on the phone two weeks ago today. He told me his company would not be able to get the prescription in time but that the CVS in the Target store in Fort Myers on San Carlos Blvd. would order the prescription and that I would have it the following Monday. Saturday I called the pharmacy and spoke with Ed (I think that was his name). He guaranteed me I would have the prescription Monday. Monday another pharmacy person there at Target (Audrey?) called to say that the prescription was not in, but that they would have it on Tuesday, the next day.
Tuesday afternoon some other female twit who seemed to have no idea of what had been going on with the prescription left me a message that they would not be able to get the prescription in. I telephoned the CVS at home people and told them of the Target's lack of follow-thru. I then went through the same rigmarole with them. They could get it, then they couldn't, then when I asked to speak with a pharmacist - all of a sudden they could get it in. This followed hours of time on the telephone with some of the most incompetent "pharmacy technicians" ever (Petra, Lynne, Ed).
Finally they got the prescription in and I asked if they would please expedite shipping at their cost since it was the company's fault that I had been placed in a position where I had to stop the medication cold turkey, and that I was going to be leaving the temporary address where I had been staying and wanted to receive the medication stat. "Pharmacist" Kristen said no. Can you even believe what an unprofessional "medical" person she is? I can't. There are further words to describe someone like her. What a loser. I asked them to send the prescription then to a different address on 11/1 (mind you, all of this started at the start of October). I was told the prescription would be sent to the new address. It is now 11/10, and I have not received the prescription. Why? Because they sent it to the old address.
I spoke with Jonathan this evening at the At Home delivery place. He was nice enough, but he was either not honest or not competent in understanding USPS tracking. He told me all mail sent into Florida goes through Fort Myers (where my previous address was), but it doesn't. When I pulled up the tracking information myself, it clearly shows that the CVS at Home people sent it to the previous address. And all of this could have been prevented if "pharmacist" Kristen had sent this out overnight as she should have to the previous address. These people have no competence or care for what they put their customers through. They are terrible and I do not recommend them at all. And frankly, Kristen would never be employed by a company that I owned.

When CVS took over Target pharmacy, customer service went out the window. The continuous phone calls daily for each Rx filled is incredibly annoying. We asked them to stop the daily calls and were told they can't change the call frequency! The "reward" program is a joke. We asked them to cancel some prescriptions we don't need and they continue to keep them active. They filled two prescriptions for my husband for the same drug in different doses instead of replacing the new dose with the previous dose and tried to give him BOTH today. Called CVS customer care today and was never treated so unimportant as a customer ever before. They couldn't care less how they treat their customers. We transferred all our prescriptions to another pharmacy today. CVS will not get any more of our business. Never had such bad experiences with getting prescriptions until CVS. Just horrible.

This is a complaint regarding store 2145 in Woodmere, NY. In 9 months with this pharmacy I have not had 1 good experience. My medications have been held to get approval from my doctor which has never happened at any other CVS. When I was out of insurance, they would scan the medicine and ask me if I really needed it because it was expensive. I take mental health medication. How dare they?
My most recent nightmare experiences were 11/6 and 11/5. I was recently approved by Medicaid, and the pharmacists clearly had no idea what they were doing. Both days they told me I had to call for things from Medicaid, which I did and Medicaid said none was necessary. My doctor had to call CVS and speak with them and she had never done that with any patient over the past 7 years. Further, the pharmacists don’t talk quietly and he was speaking to me from across the way very loudly so it was not private. I have been using CVS for years but as of today I am switching to Walgreens.

The first problem with CVS Pharmacy #4984 at 863 Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills, Pa was for medicine I needed due to illness. They told me the instructions were unclear and asked if I understood them which I did. They did try and call the doctor for clarification but did not get through so it was filled without verifying instructions. I finished them and still had the same problem. The doctor ordered a refill but CVS would not refill it as my insurance refused, I purchased enough out of pocket to get me by till I could renew. Doctor informed me that it was straightened out and could pick up the medicine immediately. Went to CVS and was told I could not but upon reviewing did find that it could be filled but refused to fill it as she only had 4 minutes left.

Congress is penalizing me 40% because I didn't have credible coverage for 15 months. It doesn't matter that I've had full drug coverage for 55 years. So I quit Medicare Part D (The Washington swamp expects working people to subsidize people who want drug coverage without ever having paid for it). Blink Health negotiates low cost drug coverage (like congress has) for people like me. My CVS pharmacy was excellent. I ran out of a -twice a day- drug. The doctor's office sent it to CVS; the pharmacy processed it; and Blink health sent me an email that I could pick it up. That kind of low stress service is what a stroke victim needs (Stress causes many risk factors for stroke). But CVS has not renewed Blink Health's contract to continue supplying me with my five drugs for under $400 a year. I WANT MY CVS PHARMACY BACK.

For months I have been paying full price for prescriptions because the pharmacists kept insisting that I am not insured at 55 Cold Spring Rd, Syosset, NY. Every single month for six months, they have told me that I'm not insured and I have presented them with an insurance card. Today I called them to refill a prescription and they told me the same thing, I am not insured, I told them for the seventh month in a row that I am insured, here is my insurance. The pharmacist tells me that someone has deactivated my insurance at CVS which is why I have been paying full price for prescriptions for months.
I called HQ and filed a complaint against this CVS and they have escalated it because the employees have clearly been doing something wrong. HQ told me that I will be reimbursed for all the months that I paid out of pocket for prescriptions and forwarded my call to the reimbursement department. After spending an hour on the phone with them, they told me there is absolutely nothing they can do because the prescriptions are out of their window to reimburse. How many more hours can I waste with CVS? Their HQ, individual stores, and reimbursement department have been absolutely no help to me, and have caused me an enormous amount of stress and time wasted.

Had some prescriptions to be filled. Normally I would not use CVS due to a previous horrible experience with CVS. My only reason for going to CVS is to get my scripts filled because they are opened 24 hours and not a far drive for me. So, the CPT (Certified Pharmacy Technician) Mason assisted me with my prescriptions. I handed Mason my insurance card (the one I use for everything). He then stated that that was the incorrect card? I explained to Mason that is the only card I ever use. Mason then stated, "no you have another card, I need that card."
I give Mason the card, he plugs in the information and states "have a seat and we will get your prescriptions ready for you." I am waiting and then I am called to the pick-window and I walk over to the area. Mason then gives me an amount to pay? So, I explain to Mason "I do not have any co-pays as I have already met my deductible and my insurance pays 100%." Mason goes to his computer and states "No you have to pay." At this point I go outside to call my insurance and explain the situation. Per my insurance they stated, "you have met your deductible and there are NO COPAYS, the other card they requested is ONLY for MAIL ORDER requests."
I return to the counter and speak with Mason and inform Mason of what my insurance company stated. Mason then stated, "I asked you for your insurance card and you gave me the other card." I looked at Mason and stated "correction, I gave you my insurance card and you stated that you needed a different card, so stop lying and twisting what actually occurred." By this time the pharmacist comes from around his hole in the back and begins arguing with me and tell me that I needed to get the insurance on the phone because what I was telling him was not true?
At this point I go outside to call my insurance and explain the situation. Per my insurance they stated, "you have met your deductible and there are NO COPAYS, the other card they requested is ONLY for MAIL ORDER requests." The pharmacist was quite indignant, confrontational and kept repeating that he had been a pharmacist for 10 years, so he know everything??? I will never step foot into the CVS in Chesterfield at 23 Mile and Callens again. My insurance says that CVS is their preferred pharmacy. I have 6 prescriptions. All of them except one are 90 day supply. The other is 60 day and brand new. Less than 2 weeks after I got the new 60 day prescription their system would text me everyday, sometimes twice a day wanting me to renew that prescription even though I had 2 refills. I spoke with them and they said to call when I needed the prescription since it is very common. I called when I had a couple days left and they said it would be ready in 2 hours. I arrived in 4 hours and they said they were out of the medication.
Numerous times over the past 3.5 years they have refilled 90 day prescriptions after 30 days. They put them back after 2 weeks. Then when my prescription on auto-refill would normally be ready I would get a text saying it was ready for pick up. I would arrive to pick it up that day or the next day and they would tell me it was put away 45 days prior. Most of the people that work there don't seem to care about their jobs or the customers. A friend of mine had strep throat and was prescribed an antibiotic. She picked it up and thankfully her boyfriend looked at the bottle because they gave her a strong anti-seizure medication by mistake. As I share my story with that store, people share their horror stories. It is amazing they haven't been shut down.

Specifically this CVS Pharmacy - 13749 SW 144 PL Miami, FL 33177 - 305-255-2893 (Store #03672) is VERY, VERY, VERY bad. I’ve been a CVS customer for over 20 years, having some of the same med rx filled at the same location for years... Whenever there is a question concerning pain meds, which I have been prescribed same meds, by same doctor, for over 5 years, like clockwork, the pharmacy staff takes an attitude as if I were a drug addict, and seems to go out of their way to interrupt the system. Almost seemed annoyed when they realize that everything is in order and that they will have to fill my script... Not always, but often enough…
On a recent vacation, I became sick with bronchitis type symptoms, went to an urgent care, and was prescribed ** and **... Once returned from vacation I went to my local CVS to fill a pain medicine prescription at which point the pharmacist had an aha moment, and blurt it out, “I did a prescription search on you and it seems like you are prescribed ** so I am not going to fill your pain medicine prescription.” When I asked why they said because they were both **-based medicines and that they were doing it for my own good. I called the doctor that prescribes pain medicine and they had me bring the cough syrup to them to be destroyed so that they could call the pharmacy and have my routine pain medicine prescription filled. With an attitude, the pharmacist told me that she did it for my own good because it could have killed me.
My question is why didn't the CVS pharmacist that filled the cough syrup prescription while I was on vacation pick up on the fact that's a cough syrup prescription he was filling could have killed me as my history has showed hundreds of the exact same pain medicine prescription being filled at CVS??? The extreme was evident. One pharmacist did a prescription search to pick up on a single cough syrup prescription and look like they were taking pleasure and telling me they couldn't fill my normal prescription, while another pharmacist working for the same major company never even considered it. The reason for this review is that I believe when a company is a complete rip off they are to be called out. I just recently acquired this as my pharmacy insurance. 1 routine prescription, that I have taken for 22 years, are not covered by this company. I have been covered by other policies throughout the course of the 22 years and have always received a reasonable rate on these very routine medications. It would seem that CVS Caremark prefers to collect your money while giving you little service in return.
Despite the fact that my doctor filed an appeal explaining how long I have taken is and that there is not a suitable replacement, CVS Caremark feels they know better than my medical doctor who has seen me and examined me personally for years. The one medication that they did cover, which has been five dollars as a generic with every pharmacy company I've been with over the last 22 years... Well... CVS saw fit to add an extra 80.00 dollars for a 30 day supply. So a prescription that cost me $60 a year now cost me $1020 a year. Thanks CVS. Hope you're making enough money gouging people. Hope you go bankrupt.

Now I understand that saying hello and asking if you need any help is normal and people are just doing their job however, walking up and down the aisles following customers and asking every 5 seconds is not. We politely said several times that we didn't need any help and that if we did we would let him know. We weren't doing anything suspicious or anything like that we were just shopping. Now I understand what he was doing but my sister who has extreme PTSD and a anxiety disorder did not. She felt like she was being stalked and targeted for no reason and it made her extremely upset. She confronted him after we had paid for our things.
Now I agree she shouldn't have spoken to him the way she did but he had no right to get in her face and threaten her. I've worked in retail for many years and you never get into a customer's face and escalate a situation. You don't follow the angry customer outside and continue to harass them. If you need help get a manager. There is a way of keeping an eye on someone if you suspect that they're doing anything without making them feel like they're being targeted and their space is being invaded. I think your employees at that particular store need a refresher course on customer relations and what to do or not to do in situations cause not to scare or threaten anyone but that could of gone worse than it did. You never know what an angry customer will do especially when they're in flight or fight mode.

So my husband went to pick up my medications yesterday from CVS on University before I leave for my trip tomorrow. He came home with only one. I take 3. He was not told that they were not giving him the others. I assumed they just missed them so I called. I was told that even though I have refills left my insurance refused to pay for these medications because they could only do so for a 90 day supply. Odd. Considering they have been paying for the entire time I have had cancer related issues. And odd that nobody told us this. No notification from CVS, or insurance, stating such a thing. I guess they just thought I wouldn't notice that these two were missing. Because cancer patients have so many medications anyway?
So I contacted my insurance this morning to figure out why it had suddenly changed and to let them know I was on day two of no daily meds. They seemed extremely puzzled. They called CVS. I was on hold while they did this for about half an hour. The representative came back very frustrated with the situation and told me... "Their clerk is telling us it is a CVS corporate rule. It has nothing to do with insurance. So we are not sure why they told you this. I let them know that you are presently without your daily medications because corporate decided to tell you that insurance refused to pay. They are sending it through and apologized profusely to us."
Long story short... I will be switching pharmacies. CVS apparently doesn't care if you have crucial medications and will lie to get you on a 90 day cycle so they don't have to fill your prescriptions every 30 days. Even if that means they put your health and well being in danger. They even held out this charade telling me my only option would be to pay out of pocket (over $200 per prescription) or contact my doctor this morning to make her do a 90 day supply.

This week, they don't have my very common blood pressure medication but continue to clog my inbox with messages about how they are special ordering it. Then there are the scam ExtraCare 25% off coupons which don't apply to any item with an offer or sale. I carefully selected $40 worth of products not on sale only to find that the notices could be at the end of the aisle or in the flyer. Only two travel sized items were not excluded. For my most recent purchases, I went to Walgreens and my ExtraCare card is so old it doesn't have a magnetic strip.

They were no help at all. They basically told me it was Green Dot's problem and it would take 7 to 10 business days. I pleaded with everyone over there that I'm going out of town and I need some proof of payment to send to my credit card company.
Did they care, of course not. The 800 to Green Dot they provided me was no good because you can't speak to anyone there unless you have account with them. CVS needs to be held accountable for what the assistant manager "Tina" did to me. First, she should not be any type of employee there, let alone an assistant manager. How in the world she is an assistant manager there I don't understand. She yelled at me at the top of her lungs for 2-3 minutes straight, in front of the whole store, for no reason. I was trying to get the attention of this employee that happened to be hearing impaired. Thats when this other customer told me she was hearing impaired, and couldnt hear me. All I said was, "well, she shouldnt be working there then, if she cant hear the customers." That must have lit a fire under this customer because she started yelling at me real loud, like she also wanted to start a fight with me. Thats when this Tina employee overheard that other customer yelling at me, and she came over and started yelling at me at the top of her lungs, real crazy-like.
I never even said a word to the actual hearing impaired employee, or any other employee. It was one on one conversation I was having with another customer. No one heard what we were talking about, as there was no one else around us two customers at the time. After I could get in a word from her yelling at me non-stop, I asked her how she even knew I said anything (she and the hearing impaired employee were together at least 30 feet away from us two customers), she said "because I trust my regular customer in what they say." So, she knew the other customer really well, and thats why she went berserk on me. Before gathering any information on why the other customer was yelling at me. etc. Or, pulling us aside to find out what the commotion was all about, this Tina employee just decides to come over and get in my face and start yelling at me for no reason???
Is this how you train your employees, CVS? Is this the professionalism you instill in your employees, CVS? Yelling at a customer for any reason is terrible, but for no reason. Are you serious? I was stunned. It was surreal, actually. From being in the service, and having a degree, the one good thing you learn is "tact." This person had none. If any other employee over her was there, they would have fired her on the spot. The look in her eyes, and how she acted, was like she wanted to kill me. She literally lost her mind.
I never said anything to the hearing impaired employee. In fact, that hearing impaired employee was actually with that Tina employee at the same time, behind the front counter. There were at least 4 customers who stopped and stared at her in astonishment. It was in the front of the store, in the middle aisle. I wont be coming back to this store, or any other CVS anymore. I always preferred Walgreens, and now this confirms it. What a disgrace of a CVS employee. And she is an assistant manager? She should be fired! You should be ashamed of yourself CVS! What kind of employees are you hiring??

I have been going to this pharmacy to get my same prescription filled since January. My physician used to write my script to fill every 10 days but recently changed it to every 30 days. With the type of prescription I have there are limits to where I can only refill it one day earlier than the refill date. I have never had an issue before today. When my prescription was written for 10 supply I would refill it 9 days after the last one was filled. Since my script was changed to refill every 30 days I now can refill it only 1 day early still.
Well all has been fine until my recent visit. I went to refill my script last month when it was due on 7/25. At that time they advised me they did not have enough in stock to give me all 30 days. They gave me a 3 day supply and stated I could pick up the remaining 27 days off my script 3 days later which was fine. I went back on the 27th and picked up the rest of my script.
So I went back today to refill my script 29 days after they originally filled my last script and the pharmacy states it is too early to fill it and I can come back on the 24th to fill it. I of course questioned this stating since I originally filled this script on 7/25 they should start the 30 days then but the pharmacy tech argued with me stating they go off of the last refill date and would not help me. Knowing they were wrong I called their corporate number 1-800 shop CVS to complain as I knew waiting until the 24th to fill it would mean I would be out of my medicine. The corporate pharmacist was very helpful to me and agreed the in store pharmacist gave me incorrect information and advised the issue was resolved and I could go back to the store to pick up my script. When I went back the pharmacist and pharmacy tech we're not very pleased that I had called corporate and didn't even offer an apology.
The pharmacist filled my script finally but instead of putting it in a prescription bottle as they have always done before she just gave me the original box the medication came in with my patient label slapped on it. This whole situation was bad customer service on the store's end that could have caused me to miss a few days of my medication. Very dissatisfied with the experience to say the least!

I have severe asthma and my physician of 20 plus years called in a cough syrup for me which she done so and explained why many times. Before that I have asthma bad that I have a bad cough off and on keeping me up at night time. All over counter ones did not help at all and a couple other past used prescription ones also don't work. So the pharmacy dragged out filling my cough medicine from August 7-11th telling me they needed a call from my dr. Not even her medical assistant was sufficient and then my dr told me she couldn't understand what their problem was with me because they told her, when she called them, that one of the front cashiers named Rosie told the pharmacist there I looked like a drug addict.
First of all I'm not and second of all how did the front cashier know what was a issue with a prescription for me in pharmacy? I believe that info is supposed to be talked about with only pharmacy employees due to HIPAA laws. So big mistake there and then the dr told me she was leaving wouldn't be back for over a week vacation and that I needn't worry. She told them because they tried saying the larger amount prescribed would leave none for other people. I believe that it's supposed to be you order more. I'm sure there isnt a shortage with the company who makes it so they caused such a scene.
My dr said then cut it in half the amount and she told me to pick that amount up. I get to pharmacy. They tell me a lie they need to speak with my dr. I said "you already did. She called me immediately when she hung up with you." They argued again. Weren't going to give me any of it again until I went to get store manager involved and he went to the pharmacy. The girl in pharmacy starts yelling loud putting my info out for God and country to hear. The other guy working with her rolled his eyes at me which is also a no no to a customer and then they only give me 4 oz instead of the half at 8 oz my dr cut amount back to over phone today and questioned why my dr, who was in fact leaving on vacation today for over a weeks time today, called from her cell not her office.
For one thing she is off every Friday and is so extremely busy with a closed practice that it has to be handled from her phone at times. She thought it was a simple "This is why she takes it. This is why I prescribe it." situation but a pharmacy mgr for CVS just called me on my cell phone. I proceeded to explain how they labeled Me a drug addict and the fact that I am not at all. I have a pulmonologist involved a ear, nose and throat dr and my family practice dr involved. Had a abnormal breathing test at hospital not long ago as well.
Every time I cough I have incontinence and I have two herniated disks in my lower back as well which cause excruciating pain also with a cough. I've tried cough drops also etc. They dont work so the pharm mgr told me they could lose their license for not talking to my dr and that she would definitely look into why their front cashier would be discussing my medication and me with their pharmacist in the back, that she in fact was out of line for doing that. But all she said was "I'll definitely call store mgr and discuss it with the front cashier" and then said "just know if you change to another pharmacy they may not fill your Rx because they will think you are going to multiple different pharmacies."
I am truly sick and tired of this those of us legitimately in need of certain as they put it controlled substances being questioned on our need of the medicine and in this case actually called a drug addict. I told the pharm mgr if she saw me she would see I don't fit the criteria at all. I have perm handicapped license plates for multiple years and I'm definitely far from a drug addict. I don't even drink alcohol or smoke cigarettes so I'm seeking a lawyer for slander on CVS for the false accusations.
All I received was a very simple nothing really serious "I'm sorry about that. She should not be doing that." not "I'm sorry. She will be disciplined or better yet terminated." Shame on you CVS. Sorry to say this employee and your over stepping their boundaries pharmacists are going to cost you now for legal representation since you think this is supposedly acceptable other than just a "I'm sorry" and then pharm mgr tells me it was because my dr was vague. No she wasn't. She does not have a reason to be. She isn't lying neither am I and I'm sick of this.
You really made a big mistake CVS. I'm taking this to media and ADA as well. I'm not satisfied with the lack of concern and resolution to this. This is unspeakable undeserved above and beyond what even laws require those I understand but your behavior and false accusations and non private discussions about your customers' prescriptions and giving opinions unacceptable not having it.

Store # 7029 Greensboro, NC. I would have given this pharmacy at least four stars had it not been for my experience on Monday 7/10/17. First off, let me say that typically my experience at this CVS is a pleasant one. From the pharmacist, to the techs, I've never had a problem. But Monday was quite the experience. My husband and I came through the drive up to drop off an Rx for our son who just had surgery, whom was lying in my lap in the backseat when a female named Denise proceeded to flirt with my husband instead of getting the pertinent information to fill the prescriptions for our son. Clearly she didn't see me in the back seat, nevertheless it was very unprofessional, and my husband and I were taken aback by her ** demeanor. We were only wanting to fill an Rx for our son so he could begin to recover post-operative and this female was desperately trying to throw herself at my husband.
Once we got home, I called the pharmacy to speak with a supervisor to make a complaint about the incident. A young man answered, and instead of giving me the information I was requesting, he handed the phone to the lady Denise who I was complaining about. Denise proceeded to talk to me very disrespectfully and I told her that I would speak with her supervisor about the situation. I am very disappointed by how this whole situation was handled. I expected there to be more professionalism coming from a place where one's health and life are of major importance. If a person cannot conduct themselves in a professional manner by doing something so simple as greeting a customer properly, I certainly don't trust that person to handle medication that will have an effect on my life.
I will say this, I did have the pleasure of speaking with the supervisor when I came by to pick up our son's prescriptions and she was very professional and understanding and did apologize on behalf of Denise. But I do think with proper etiquette and customer service training Denise will have a somewhat better outcome with customers in the future. But in this instance, she did not give CVS a good reputation.

I am fortunate that I was able to afford this medication however I know many veterans who could not do that. CVS may come up with many excuses as to why they do not accept Tricare none of them I am sure are any good or are reasonable. I am usually not the type of person to complain about things like this, but I feel that the rudeness and injustice I suffered through was extremely unfair, unprofessional and unwarranted. I was simply trying to tell the pharmacist what happened at my last pharmacy visit. This is what happened, and this is what I wanted to tell the manager but I didn't get to. : <6-25-17> I was picking up scripts at the pharmacy when all of a sudden the cashier shouted out " ALL STOP" and stood back from the register, and waited for someone to come over to do something. I was confused, I felt like I was put under a spotlight. The customers behind me and beside me were listening and watching this transpire. Another CVS employee behind the counter came over and literally rolled her sleeves up, and started saying my medications out loud for everyone to hear. She even said "You shouldn't be taking this medication on top of this one here", loudly and disparagingly, in front of about 10 other customers. I had to lean way in, and whisper that I have been on these meds and dose for over 10 years and am fully familiar with all the indications and contraindications.
I felt embarrassed and ashamed that other people might be secretly judging and disapproving of what I am taking for pain medicine since this particular medication is usually frowned upon by most people, I get mislabeled as a "junky" and get treated poorly once I am considered to be of this ilk. I don't think this treatment is right or fair at all, so I wanted to report this to the pharmacy manager on this next, even more unpleasant, last visit to CVS.>
So as I waited to tell the manager my complaint on Wed.6-28-17 @9:30pm... I was met with outright rudeness and indignation by this "professional pharmacy manager". I suspect that I may have interrupted her pill count, and this may have been what infuriated her. I cannot be certain why I was met with a loathsome stare and disapproving looks. I do know that I am a human being who deserves to be treated as such, with common decency and respect as a customer. I am so turned off by this woman's treatment that I will be moving to Walgreens with all my pharmacological needs.
This woman came over to me visibly irritated and was abrupt and harsh as she spoke to me. Instead of listening to my issue, she ignored me and spoke to me as if I were a brick wall. She read something off of a paper she held in her hand. (another "Force stop", I assumed.) She asked me if I had any heart problems for some reason, I said no, that I've been taking these meds for over 10 years, and I am fine. She looked at me with such coldness, walked away without listening to my issue, and went back to counting her pills, totally ignoring my complaint. This is when her pharmacy tech told me to call the daytime manager and report everything to him.
She kept apologizing about the treatment I just received, and the whole "Force Stop" embarrassment I endured 3 days ago, and another one just now. I asked her "Why is she so angry?" and said " I don't feel very liked or wanted here." She just kept repeating how sorry she was and that I should report this (all hushed and under her breath so the manager wouldn't hear her). So here I am, recounting my miseries online, hoping it will help change something positively somehow. I am even afraid to mention my name or her name. CVS has my address after all. I hope whoever reads this will pass it on to the right person at CVS, maybe even the top CEO, Larry Merlo. I won't return to CVS at night, since that is this woman's shift. I will be moving to Walgreens with hopes of being treated like a customer should be treated, a human being.
She made me feel like I was a major nuisance, because I wanted to report a HIPPA violation from an earlier visit, but she was busy filling bottles, and was irritated that she had to stop to come talk to me. I have a witness to this incident, the pharmacy tech who was ringing up my items was also shocked, and even embarrassed by her superior's behavior. She kept apologizing under her breath, and whispered that I should report this to the daytime manager.

On June 9, I contacted CVS customer service for being charged 3 times More AT LEAST For THE EXACT same medication Treatment that Costco provides for $7, CVS charges $31. If you don't believe me just send your request and I will show you the details. You might say that you need membership at Costco. Yes, for the price you pay at CVS you could have a membership AND discounted prices for EVERYTHING. I contacted CVS and spoke with Their Leadership team requesting the refund or do something, show gesture. They promised to contact me within 24 hrs since June 9, 2017 and today is June 22, 2017 and I am still Waiting.
BTW - I read a Veteran post here. Thank you for your Service. CVS does NOT seem to 'care' but make PROFIT at the expense of our HEALTH. Otherwise, why would they charge so much after you or I work hard and spend a lot at doctor office to get the treatment that COSTCO - A family oriented place - offer for CHEAPER? America THINK AGAIN! PS - I have many situations of HIGH PRICES by CVS, they may sell cheap nail polish or junk stuff but when it comes to your health, that's another question. I was hesitant before buying, the PHARMACIST insisted you need this, YES that's the only time they would tell you need for their pocket. If I do not hear from CVS not only me would stop buying them but anyone I meet. Having customers is one thing, keeping them is another.

Today, a CVS pharmacist inferred that I was committing a felony. After a morning doctor's appointment where my physician wrote a prescription for a drug I've been taking on-and-off for several years, I drove to my local CVS to have the script filled. Unfortunately, that CVS didn't have the drug in stock, but kindly checked availability at a CVS I've also used for years that's close to my place of employment. After waiting 15 minutes for my turn in line, the pharmacy clerk said that they were no longer filling prescriptions written by my doctor. I was taken aback and said that I thought that was incorrect as I'd had scripts from this doctor filled there before and even had some on file for refill.
She checked with the pharmacist and he came to speak to me. His first words were "This is not Dr. **’s signature." I said "Excuse me?” convinced I'd lost my hearing. He restated his accusation. I said "I sat in front of Dr. ** just an hour ago and watched him fill it." The pharmacist said "This is not Dr. **'s signature." I said "Are you accusing me of fraudulently signing (forged) my doctor's signature on a script?" "Oh, now wait a minute, I'm not suggesting that." Really? What else could he be suggesting? That fairies signed the script and they're felons? Anyway, he went on to say he was not filling ANY of my doctor's prescriptions. I asked if that was legal and he said "Yes."
Well, from my research the answer is yes and no. But, whether or not, it is or it isn't, I'm gob smacked that this pharmacist actually stated that I had brought him a forged script and refused to verify its validity by my doctor. I don't know what recourse I have, but I do know that the pen (keyboard) is mightier than the sword. So, if you're in Greenville, SC, avoid the pharmacy on Mills Avenue.

Needed to fill my meds. My situation is dire. If I don't have them, after a day or two, I will be in full blown withdrawal. Went to a CVS in San Bernardino, CA and the pharmacist said that they would have to order them in. Mind you, this is on a Thursday. She said they'd be in on Friday. I went to pick them up on Friday, and they were not in. I asked the pharmacist if any other store in the area would have them, and she said that CVS doesn't stock these meds because they are schedule 3 narcotic. Fair enough, I took her word on it and barely survive the weekend. Monday, I go in to pick up and guess what, won't be in till Tuesday. Out of curiosity, I called another CVS just down the street. They had plenty of these in stock, and I could go get them. Drove over there just to be told that since it was such 3 narcotic, that the order couldn't be filled.
Guess I will just go through withdrawals because CVS is a useless excuse for a pharmacy. They should just shut their doors and all get fired. I'm sweating cold sweats, back pain, nerve pain, can't stop my eyes from crying, headache, diarrhea, prickly sensations all over my body, brain zaps, all while the pharmacist can't even give a ** about it. It's her fault I'm like this. Not a one pharmacy back home in Louisiana would ever treat their customers this way. I will preach and plead with all of my family, friends, and whoever will listen, NEVER to use these jokes. Lesson learned the hard way. Thank you CVS for allowing me to get sick and watch me die slowly in front of you. Asshats.

Even after explaining that I've have been on this dosage for 1 year and the meds itself for 3 years. He said no. I then explained he is able to call Walgreens and they will be willing to provide my history on the meds.
He said no at first but after my persisting... He said he will call. BUT won't change his mind. I repeat, "Why?" And over and over he said cause he felt uncomfortable... And even tho I had all the history in the world to prove I've been on this dose for YEARS... He refused to listen and even cooperate in any shape to help me. I have never been brought to tears by ** customer service but this guy did it. Congrats.
And when I told him this will land me in the hospital before I even am able to see my Dr this upcoming Friday (as withdrawals on this medication is severe) HE had no remorse. No care. He was snarky and snappy and talked over me the whole time. Medicine that can mean life or death for someone... he didn't care. No matter what proof I had to show him. He said it wouldn't change his mind. I'm disgusted at that lack of compassion and professionalism.
Thank God the assistant store manager was understanding and understood my plight. And thank goodness he listened to me... unlike this supposed pharmacist. He listened. Understood. "Our Values: Innovation. Demonstrating openness, curiosity and creativity in the relentless pursuit of delivering excellence. Collaboration. Sharing and partnering with people to explore and create things that we could not do on our own. Caring. Treating people with respect and compassion so they feel valued and appreciated. Integrity. Delivering on our promises; doing what we say and what is right. Accountability. Taking personal ownership for our actions and their results."
These values are posted on your code of conduct handbook and sadly to say that is not followed in some of your locations. I had a very horrible experience which I have never experienced before anywhere. On May 13, 2017 at about 9 PM my son, mother, and I decided to go and get some snacks in the Brownsville, Texas CVS located on Padre Blvd. We bought some items and as we were walking out we saw some popsicles and we decided to get three. I gave my son and my mother my credit card so they could go back and pay while I stayed looking at some cosmetics. As we went outside my attentive mother noticed that the popsicles has been overcharged. I did not have the receipt since the cashier said that the receipt was going to appear in my email. My other option was to check my bank account, which I did and I did notice that the price was indeed overcharged.
So, we went back and told the cashier that she the popsicles had been charged wrong. By this time there was a line of customers being charged in the next cash register by what I know now the manager on duty. His name tag said Jose. As I was telling her about the mistake the cashier immediately denied full responsibility by telling me that it was not her problem, that she did not even work in that CVS and that she was from the Harlingen, Texas CVS. She practically told me that it was not her fault and that since I did not tell her anything beforehand that I would have to leave it as it was. I did tell her that it was not my fault that her machine was pricing the items wrong and that I was not going to pay for other peoples mistakes. I was still telling her that I needed my difference back and she said that I had already eaten the popsicles and that it was too late (in other words tough luck).
I immediately told her that I had an unopen Popsicle in the car and that I was going to bring it back for refund. At that time I went and took a picture of the prices that were in the refrigerator where the items were and I sent my son to go get the other Popsicle. As you can see all this time my son was listening to all this rudeness that this lady named Claudia (that is what the manager told me her name was because she did not even have a name tag) was telling me in front of the customers. When I showed her the unopened pop she cynically smiled telling me that the other popsicles couldn't be refunded because they were eaten so I told her that I just wanted the difference refunded.
Now the worst part was that the Manager named Jose was there in the register charging other customers that were listening to all this degrading situation. She was doing all this while the manager was there and he did not even do anything about it. On the contrary, I heard him tell her to kick us out of the store. That is when I got lost my patience and told him that I myself was going to call the police because they were trying rob me from what I was right. The last customer left and then I directed myself to him (the manager) because he did not even try to deescalate the situation or anything.
He was defending her without even knowing the situation. He even told me that he was looking out for his employee and I told him that he needed to leave his emotions at the door. As a manager he needs to be more objective. I am not saying for him to be rude or disrespectful. What I told him was that he was the manager and that he needed to think of the situation and how to resolve it. He told me that since I was angry he was not going to help me and that he was not going to refund anything. That is when I told him that then they were falsely advertising a product and that he should know that that is against the law. I also told him that as a customer I have the right to be heard and that he needed to resolve the situation in a way that is beneficial to both parties. I was not trying to get more of anything. I was just trying to get my difference.
He had the audacity to tell me that it was only .30c and that we should forget about it and I told him it was not for the .30C. It was more of the principle of the situation. I was not at fault at all. I was just a customer that went to get some snacks not knowing that this trip was going to take an awful turn for me. I felt very humiliated, embarrassed, and degraded by them both. Customers were staring at us and mostly my son was there seeing how these people treated me. I am a teacher and a counselor and I know that the way they handled the situation was inappropriate. The lady is not representing CVS in a positive way and she does not stand up to CVS's name. Finally after about 30 minutes of me explaining and telling him how wrong they were and when I told him I was going to talk to the store manager he then did give me my refund, but as you can see I had to practically lose my patience and get degraded before all the situation could be solved.
I am not saying that all your employees are rude or do not follow or believe in your values and doing the right thing, but in this situation these two people either do not believe in the same things you believe in or they just do not have pride in working at your company. I want you to please look at the cameras because they can tell you a different story about what happened. They really need to read the code of conduct again because they either never have read it or they forgot about it already. My son was horrified on the way these people treated me. They were treating me like a delinquent. I am a very educated woman and I did not treat the lady or him with bad words or I did not even humiliate them like they did to me.

After a month of pretty good service, it was time to replace the batteries. According to the indications, I replace all 4 batteries with some new ones I had home, the machine would not work. So I went out again one night and bought new batteries, still nothing. I took the device to the Pharmacy asking for help in evaluation of the problem. The pharmacist ignored me. One of the workers told me I had to return the following day to see the manager of the store.
I had to go to Sam's and buy a new different device with support from the pharmacist there that evening since I did not want to spend the night without the ability of checking the BP. The following day I went to see the manager. First she expressed surprise that the pharmacist did not help. She took me to the pharmacy area, tried to look for another similar device, could not find one and told me she was sorry. I had my bill and everything else but unfortunately in my acute situation discarded the box - still had the manufacturer's pamphlet though. She could not find the item number in the system so No help could be offered.
This store is calling itself a pharmacy and is so-called manned with pharmacists and no one could look at their own brand device and see what might be wrong? I did not go asking for a return but for help to understand what the device was not working since I replaced the batteries. Absolutely no help. Take your prescriptions to Rite Aid. I found the pharmacists there stop, talk to you and explain and help.

Why do they call themselves 24 hour? They are a 24 hour store that sells mostly stuff you can buy in the food store; they are NOT a 24 hour pharmacy. Today I went to CVS and shopped for about 1 hour. I then took my items to the front check out and handed the cashier my 12.00 in coupons. My husband usually pays with his CVS card but today I was shopping without him. She ask for my card and then said it did not match the last purchase. The coupons were from my husband's card so she ask for my phone number and I gave her the 3 phone numbers we use. She ask 3 or 4 times for the numbers and then said after each one that they did not work. When we were shopping the last time the cashier had changed the phone numbers to update our account. She must have punched the wrong numbers because I was told they would not work on my purchase.
She called the manager over and he told me they no longer could override the mistake. I was told to have my husband come in or to call their 800 number and get the account corrected. Of course when you call any 800 number you will listen to music for at least 1/2 hour or more till your call is taken. Will I shop with CVS again? NOOO. Never. Walgreens is too close for us to spent this much time and effort to be told, "No you can not use your coupons". The reason we had 12.00 is because we do a lot of shopping with them. I am sure that Walgreens will be happy to get our business. All that was needed to correct this problem is for a manager to override the mistake their store had created. The manager let me know right away that CVS does not care about their customers. Shame on them for having such a do not care attitude.

The entire dept at Apollo Beach Pharmacy needs a review class so they can all be reacquainted with the laws and their policies. Not only has each pharmacist and tech handled my scripts differently, but I always get a different reason.
Example #1: I get a script from my Dr for ** 20 mg every month. The first time I went to get it filled at CVS, they told me they didn't carry them and I would need to show up 1 week early with my script to put an order in - so I was doing that for awhile and that was working out fine. Then they told me that I didn't need to do that anymore (because I had been going there consistently for a year now) and they would just have them for me. I went there today and Brian (the pharmacist) said he doesn't have them in (even though I was there 4 days ago) and that if someone else had to get their 20 mg of ** filled he would of had to have filled theirs. I have to wait 6 days of being out of pain medication because Brian wants to Play games with my pain medication.
Example 2: The pharmacist last week refused to fill a script that my Dr wrote me a lower dose on the same medication I have been taken. Not only did she NOT fill it, she kept my Script for **. When I asked her for it back (I was in the drive through with my dog, which she could clearly see), she told me if I wanted my script... I would have to come back in and get it... that she would not send it back through the outside drop off lane. This has happened to me several times before (refuse to fill a new script and keeping my script) at the APOLLO BEACH PHARMACY. I needed a new drug that was only available from an online pharmacy. My insurance company, CareFirst, recommended CVS Specialty Pharmacy and my doctor sent them the prescription. They called me for the co-pay and asked about other medications to check interactions (which my doctor had already done). After getting them, they asked me to hold to speak with the pharmacist about possible interactions. After I was on hold for over 20 minutes I finally gave up and hung up the phone. A little while later they called me back and said that we got disconnected and put me on hold again for another 5 minutes at which time I hung up again. Apparently they figured that I had nothing else to do but wait on hold and that I had not done it long enough. You would think that they would just give my callback number to the pharmacist and let him call me when he was free. Anyway, they never called back.
While I had them on the phone the first time, I had given them a credit card number and asked how I could get a receipt for the transaction. They said it would come in the package with the medication the next day. I figured that would be acceptable. The medication did arrive the very next day, however there was no receipt, just a packing slip. So I called them back, of course getting a different person this time (after waiting on hold for a few minutes), and he said they never send receipts with the medications. So I asked how I could get a receipt. I offered my email address and they said they did not do that either. They consented to sending it to me in the mail.
Well, over two weeks went by still with no receipt, so I called again and this time asked if they could FAX it to me, but to be sure to include a cover sheet with my name on it because it was not my personal FAX machine. They said it would take 24 to 48 hours to happen. Ok, I'm nothing if not patient. So the FAX did come the next day but the only information on the cover sheet was the FAX number and the date, which I'm sure was automatically put there by their sending FAX machine. The name field on the cover sheet form was not filled in. Fortunately, I had alerted the person that usually takes things off the FAX machine that I was expecting a receipt and he left it on my chair. So I'm wondering what will happen in another 90 days when I'm due for a refill. Maybe I'll have to set up my own FAX machine.

I like it a lot. CVS is reliable and you can see and do your order online. They even give you a update on your on coming prescription. They are nice to you in person. The lines are not long. You can shop while you wait for your order to be filled. CVS store has a nice clean environment.

The wait time at the Bedford (Independence Boulevard location) is usually backed up. Wait times are 5 minutes or more, but CVS is still faster than the local Walmart. The cashiers at the front of the store are usually quite fast in ringing up purchases.

I have been receiving diapers for my disabled child through CVS Pharmacy for 4 months. They recently hired a new tech who has been nothing but trouble. First she told me they wouldn't fill the full prescription, and another tech fixed the problem. A few weeks later she told me we would need a new prescription every 10 days! Thursday was the last straw. I went to pick up the diapers and she told me they were refusing to fill the script from here on out!
I called insurance to find another pharmacy and the insurance person told me that sounded wrong and she called CVS herself. Well, she found out that the new tech felt like we didn't deserve to be getting diapers "for free", and she was not going to let it happen! Insurance had to explain to her that my child is disabled and has a medical need for the diapers. What utter ** that the tech needed someone to give her a good reason to fill the prescription sent by my child's doctor!
Insurance swears I won't have any more trouble, but how in the world was it allowed to get to a point where I needed the insurance company to call their pharmacy on my daughter's behalf and TELL them they had to fill her prescription?? Honestly if it happens again I will be calling corporate, making formal complaints, blasting them on social media, and letting the world know that they're ok with their pharmacy tech playing morality police against disabled children!

I use the CVS in our local Target. I have never had an issue getting prescriptions filled. If they don't have something in stock they always check around to find it. The customer service is awesome and there is never a long wait.

The pharmacist I encountered was super helpful and knowledgeable. If I were to go by my previous experiences, he went above and beyond to get my medications.

The CVS where I as a retired MD go, is just great. The Pharmacist is very professional and helpful. The store is clean and well-lit. It is a pleasure to shop there.

There is always a line waiting to pick up medication. Never have enough staff on the registers. You get a call that your prescription is ready for pickup, when you get there you have to wait. Don't go to CVS if you are in a hurry. Since they are the nearest pharmacy in the area they should be prepared.

The pharmacy employees at my CVS are always helpful. They take the time to answer any questions you may have about your prescriptions and any over the counter medications.

Location, receiving text messages of the medication ready for pickup and refill reminders. The friendliness of the Pharm Techs and Pharmacist. Location in the store could be better as well as the waiting area. Not everyone wants to stand and wait for their prescription pick up or shop until they can pickup their prescription.

Almost never have anything but generic to offer, even if the doctor has written prescription for specific med and believes it best by brand. Of course, as with all pharmacies... the rate is sky high for non-generic... But if you are willing and able to pay, why not have it available.

I feel the pharmacy overall is good and tries to serve the population well. Although some days there may be an overload and that maybe day I happen to be in the store but by being in retail myself I truly understand and I wish them well.

While a large chain our town CVS is run like a small town pharmacy with great customer service. It is a place where you are known and welcomed as if you are a friend or family member.

This is the best pharmacy we've encountered. That's not to say they are a good business, but they are better than the others. The curbside pickup is a disaster. The cashiers all seem mildly **. The girls at the window and pharmacists are generally great. They close way too early.

This afternoon I walked down to my local CVS pharmacy with my four year old daughter. To return an item that didn't work. I told the clerk "it's a dysfunctional product. I'LL like to return it." So she call the store manager. He look at me with a look of disgrace and said "I can't refund this item." I ask "WHY not?" He just continue this look at me WITH a disgusting LOOK same answer NO! THIS man didn't ask no questions or care about why I needed to return it. If they had security guard I would have been kicked out. I feel discouraged for shopping at the 10 mile in Roseville MICHIGAN location. Even if I have been living in this area and shopping there over six years. I mean is discriminatory, discreet. I hope CVS company take my CONCERNS serious. Because I deserve better treatment than that as a women and loyal customer.

I use this pharmacy because it is only a few minutes from our house. The products they carry are adequate but I find that sometimes there are so many people at checkout and it moves so slowly that I will just put down my purchases and leave.

My experience with this insurance company has been nothing but a headache! This is the most difficult company I have ever dealt with! They kept me running around for over 3 weeks! Would not cooperate with my secondary insurance and approve a 30-day prescription, that my chip has had for the last 8 years, which is his asthma inhaler! They would only approve a 90-day supply, which we have never had to get in the last 8 years, so we were out of pocket $187.00! Which is absolutely ridiculous! I would not recommend this insurance company to my worst enemy! Kept transferring me to someone else every time I called to get this issue resolved and each time the person I talked to knew less than the last about the issue! Horrible company!!

The wait time is the worst now at CVS. They never have enough people to wait on you. There have been times when I have been told that my medicine would be ready in 15 min only to find out about 25 min later they don't even have my medicine in stock and it has to be ordered.

Runs out of stock too often. Takes up to a week before restocked causing me to have to use a new and different Pharmacy or run into complications physically from not having my medication.

They get great people working there. THEN change them in the pharmacy. The new ones are nothing like the friends you've made with the others. Don't like the way they keep changing where the products are. And don't like the voice message when he calls so early.

The care given by CVS is above and beyond what any pharmacy has ever done for me. From the front desk helpers to the girls in the pharmacy they are so very pleasant and kind.
