When I first moved and started using this Wal-Mart, I was very impressed with the friendly, helpful employees, compared to the very rude ones at my former Brownwood, TX store. But within about 3 months, it was the total opposite. Employees were downright hateful if you dared ask them a question.
I bought a $180 Emerson DVD/VHS deck and it quit on me and they wouldn't even exchange it without a receipt, which I lost. One day I asked the jewelry clerk if she knew what kind of battery my Timex Iron Man watch used. She said nope and walked away. This is one of the most common and popular watches they sell.
Then I went to electronics to look for the new Bob Seger CD. It was playing on the video screen but I couldn't find it. A lady clerk walked past me many times and gave me dirty looks but never once asked if she could help. She wasn't doing anything else.
I then went to deli to get some sliced meat. The female employee there was extremely rude. They normally ask how you want it sliced but she didn't bother this time and just sliced it and practically threw it at me without saying a word and then walked away.

You have retired people as greeters, which I appreciate, but they should warn Seniors not to shop at Wal Mart on entering the store, the way in, so they don't waste their time. Your store policies do not encouraged Senior single woman to shop at your stores.
I tried to buy a toy racecar for my grandson for Christmas. I could not find anyone that would help me put the box in the cart. When I did finally get it in the cart, the basket wheels would not roll properly and the cart kept pulling to the right. I had to maneuver up and down many aisltes, because during shopping hours there were huge piles of boxes in the aisles blocking the way to the cashiers area.
Finally I get to the cashier and she wanted me to turn the cart around in the checkout line so she could scan the box. The cart didn't roll properly, I could not maneuver the box by myself well. She asked me to move the box three times, when all she had to do was come out from behind the counter and scan it. She was too lazy to walk 2 or 3 steps to scan the box. I was so frustrated by the time I got out of the store, I felt like I would never return to Wal Mart again.
Some of your policies regarding the purchase of the item I bought was ridiculous. I live alone, so I had no one available to help me with this item. I asked if I could pay for it and then return in a short while with someone else to pick it up. I was told I could not do this, if I bought the item I had to take it with me right then. This is ridiculous for a person in my situation and I'm sure many more.
You do nothing to help your Senior shoppers. I'm sure a lot of Seniors shop at Wal Mart because they are on fixed incomes, but as far as I'm concerned, I'd be happy to pay a little more to get some customer assistance.

I was excited about taking my 88 year old mother to Walmart to shop last week. To my suprise, I was unable to take her in the store because there were no wheel chairs available. My mother is unable to walk due to severe arthritis, and when she goes somewhere we usually get a wheelchair and push her around in the store. She was as disappointed as I was to know that a store as large as Walmart could not accommodate her needs. I am sure I am not the only one who feels like this. I was told by the courtesy clerks that the chairs disappeared from the store and the company felt like they should not replace them. But I don't think that is fair to the customers who come in needing assistance in getting around.
I saw several motorized carts but my mother is not able to drive that. I have been to several locations that only have 2 wheelchairs in them here in the Dallas metroplex. Please have someone look into this. The elderly and the handicapped need to be accommodated just like everyone else.
What resulted was the fact that my mother had no assistance in getting around in the store. Therefore she was unable to spend her money there. If we are causing your company to prosper financially surely you can make it a little easier for us to do it.

On the evening of December 20, 2006 at 5:30pm I was shopping with my handicapped Mother who is in a wheelchair with limited use of her legs. She needed to use the ladies room and I asked the the greeter for if I could have someone accompany and assist me by guarding the ladies room door from anyone coming in while I helped my Mother to the restroom. She point blank said as a man I could not go into the ladies room. As one of my Mothers occasional care givers I have to assist her and in getting out of her wheelchair. I have never had any problems or issues in the past with places I take my Mother to.
I informed her she was showing signs of handicapped discriminaton and she brused me off and said to see one of the ladies in the red vests if I had a problem. I then proceeded to do just that and was immediately assisted with getting my Mother to the restroom with no questions asked.
I don't want a major issue made out of this. I just think that Wal Mart needs to be made aware of this and that an employee like this can possibly get them into bigger trouble or charged fines. This is like telling a blind person they can't bring their guide dog into a business. Maybe they need to review with their employees the rights that a handicapped person has and how to show a little empathy.

On December 21, 2005, I purchaced a battery for my lawn mower. In the month of September,06 my lawn mower stopped cranking. I assumed it was the battery because I could get my mower cranked by getting a jump from my neighbor. I took the battery back to Wal-Mart because it was still in warrenty. The people at Wal-Mart tested my battery and said there was nothing wrong with my battery. When I told them I could get my mower running using my neighbors lawn mower and my battery would not hold a charge, one of the clerks in so many words said I was lying. This really got me upset.
When they realized I was fixing to cause a disturbance they gave me a new battery,so I thought. I took the new battery home but it would not crank my mower either.I felt bad because I thought they may have been right and I did have a starter problem.
I took my lawn mower to my local repair shop to have them repair the starter. You can imagine how angry I became when They called to say the only thing they could find wrong with my mower was it had a bad battery. Wal-mart gave me another bad battery hoping it would last until the warrenty ran out.
I'm Fixing to become their worse headache.

Wal-Mart (#3493) - **** Dr., Martinez, CA 94553
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to you today because I am very upset about the way the Wal-Mart here in Pittsburg, CA handled the sale of the Nintendo WII. I had inquired about the sale of the WII on Monday 12/04/06. The associate in the electronics department informed us that they would not have any systems until Wednesday (12/06/06). She stated that there would be a limited number and the manager would pass out coupons for the limited number at 7a.m. for the store opening at 9a.m. The Wednesday we arrived at the store at 5:50a.m. There was one other person in line ahead of us. Around 6:15a.m. when the line started getting long, the manager came out and asked what we were waiting for. I told him, To the purchase of the WII.? He told us they were already given out. He stated that some people were lined up at midnight and they gave out the coupons around 4a.m. Everyone in line was so upset and in disbelieve, we all stayed in line until around 6:45am. Extremely upset, I decided to get into my car and drive to the Martinez, CA Wal-Mart.
Going as fast as I could, I arrived at the Martinez store a little before 7 a.m. There was a line formed already but the manager came out and informed us that the coupons for the WII would be not be handed out at 8 a.m. At 7:45 a.m. the manager came back out and let us know that there were 14 units. So everyone knew the first 14 people would receive units. Although I was upset with not getting a unit at Martinez I am more upset with the way management in Pittsburg handled it. If the associates informed people that the coupons would be hand out at 7am then it should have been handed out at 7 a.m. It's really not fair to the customer to say one thing and do something completely different. The coupons were handed out 3 hours before they were suppose to be. How could we know that they'd hand out coupons sooner, if no one informed us? Everyone in line was told the same inform about ticket at 7 a.m. If people arrived earlier then us they should have understood they were going to have to wait until 7 a.m. to get their coupon, just like on Black Friday.
I honestly think the manager and/or associates gave those coupons to people they knew. If people were waiting at 12 a.m., how did they decide on the 4 a.m. handout, why didn't they wait 3 more hours to give out coupons at the right time and why were we questioned about why we were waiting outside. There was no sign that coupons were already given out, nothing to tell all the people who were informed at the 7 a.m. handout that they were already given out. It doesn't make sense. From the way the Martinez store handled the arrangements, there most have been some sort of protocol. That protocol exhibited at that store seems to coincide with the information we were informed about originally.
I am at least happy that the Martinez store followed procedure and at least 14 true customers received the units. There was no question that the first 14 people waiting in line received the coupons. Everyone saw the coupons being issued out at the assigned time. What is upsetting is I waste my time thinking at Pittsburg store and I could have gotten a system in Martinez. When I arrived at 7 a.m. I was only 35 in line (we all started counting when they announced there was only 14). If I arrived at 5:50 a.m., I am sure I would have been one of the first 14 people. I truly hope that others are writing about Pittsburgs lack of professionalism and fairness. I (like others in the line, I'm sure) work an 8-5pm job and sacrificed getting up extra early and waiting in the cold weather to try to get this gift for family. It's just really disturbing how certain stores feel they can treat customers and other follow rules in order to be fair. Can you please inform me of the protocol for distribution of limited items such as the Nintendo WII during the holiday season?
Sincerely,
A frequent Wal-Mart shopper (both online and in store)Kenya

I came in to get the pictures from the film I dropped off. The main woman in the photo dept. (who wouldn't give me her name) took the envelope, and rang me up without telling me there was any problems with my order. After taking my money, she then gave the envelope to me with a note that said the film was too dark. I only had 5 photos, which they charged me $4 for, out of the 27 I took. They were all taken in the same environment, so I failed to see how they could all have been so dark. This was an instant camera with an automatic flash which went off with every shot. I saw the note, stopped, looked at my purchase and then turned around and asked why I was charged so much if nothing turned out.
They said I ordered this, and so I had to pay for it. I put it all on the counter and told them I would not pay that much for each photo. I also questioned how the other 22 pictures could be blank if they were taken in the same place? I feel they damaged my film and then tried to make me pay for it so it wouldn't show up against them.
These were all pictures of a trip I just got back from, of my 4 yr old granddaughter that I only see 2 times a year. This was very heartbreaking to me to loose all of these memories because of 1 careless person at Wal-mart. When I told me story to people I know, I was told of others who had the same thing happen to them. Also while I was standing in line, a man ahead of me was at the counter for refunds because none of his pictures turned out either. They took our memories away, and nothing can replace them!

I purchased a Disney Cinderella Pontiac Solstice ride on car for my daughter's 4th birthday on 7/3/06. She has used it maybe 4 or 5 times and now the car battery will not charge. I contacted customer no service at Wal-Mart and they advised me that I needed to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer is Dumar International. I tried contacting them through their 1-800 and only reached a recording. I tried to leave a message for parts and service but the mailbox was full. I then tried to leave a message for one of the company representatives but alas that mailbox was also full. (Do you see a recurring theme here?) I repeatedly called back and tried to leave messages for any representative of the company but all mailbox's were full. I finally sent an email to the parts and service department and I am awaiting any response from them.
Feeling deflated I did a web search on Dumar International to see if there was an alternate phone number and I found an article posted by WTOC 11 Savannah News. A gentleman in Savannah had similar problems with his daughter's Cinderella car but after charging his for several hours the wiring started to smoke. I immediately unplugged my daughter's car.
The article went on to say that he spent 3 months trying to deal with Dumar and only after the local news station got involved was anything resolved. I decided to call back to Wal-Mart and speak with the customer service manager and I explained that I was unable to reach Dumar and I told her about the news article. After a lengthy holding time she returned to the phone to inform me that her manager said they could not help me. I believe that if they are going to sell a product out of their store then they should back it up especially when you cannot reach the manufacturer. I am only 55 days outside of Wal-Mart's 90 day return policy and I have my reciept but they refuse to help solve my problem.

It simply showed an Idog assortment which was exactly what I had.

We visited the store at 10pm on Sat 11/11/06. In the pet department, we noticed that every single fish was either dead or dying. Out of about 25 tanks full of hundreds of fish, only about 5 were still alive and they were fading fast. It appeared that someone had forgotten to de-chlorinate the water. We spoke to several stock people, asking that they get the living fish out of the poisoned water for us. (we planned to buy them). They paged the manager multiple times during the next 30 minutes w/o any response. I left & went to the customer service department, advised them of the problem and asked that they contact the manager.
They contacted her via a walki-talki. I waited 20 minutes for her to come to the service desk. She said she had not been notified of the problem. I advised her that she had been paged multiple times in the past 45 minutes. She said she was working in an area where she couldn't hear any of the pages. Although she said she would have someone check into it, her attitude & demeanor told me differently. All that was needed to save these poor living creatures was to add a few drops of a dechlorinator to their water. They all died needlessly. Walmart needs to make a decision. If they choose to sell pets, they need to make sure they are willing to accept the responsibility that goes along with it.
Every fish in their store died needlessly and they lost a loyal customer.

I own a weekly newspaper and continue to use 35mm film, which I process at the Wal-Mart One Hour Photo Lab in Plainview, Texas. For at least a month, the lab's CD burner has not been working. I've been told that it's a software issue that needs to be resolved between IBM and Fuji. I tried to get online to send an e-mail on 10-24-06, but found out the photo website was down. Since the other one-hour photo lab closed when Wal-Mart Super Center opened, I must go out of town even farther. I now have to drive 35 miles instead of 25 to a town smaller than Plainview. I usually have business in Plainview and tend to it while waiting on the Wal-Mart Lab to process my pics.
It's been an economical problem for me and an inconvenience. I don't understand how the world's largest retailer can't put enough pressure on their suppliers to get something fixed.

The clerk refused to let me have the copy-stating that I was breaking copyright laws and the 2 photocenter salesreps continued being very loud, abrupt and arrogant to me. I was under an a loud verbal attack by the 2 of them.
There is a need for WalMart to instruct their employees as to what the copyright laws actually are or at least instruct their employees how to talk to a customer when a customer is being declined the use of one of Walmart's services because of Walmart's policy. The entire situation could have been handled more competent. Either one of them could have relayed Walmart's policy in a more diplomatic manner.

Well, I waited in line for a half hour and then get up there and the counter clerk asked for my license and I showed it to her, and after she enters my name, she says I can't return it because I have a bad check with Walmart.
Since this had nothing to do with returning my sweater, I asked to see the manager. I asked the manager what me having a bad check had to do with returning a product that didn't fit me. As it was they were going to put it on a gift card...and the sweater was only $13.00. The manager told me I oculd pay for the check and then I could return my sweater...and I told him I wasn't trying to write a check...that I only wanted to either return the sweater or exchange it for one that fitted me, but he said he could do neither for me. This is awful of Walmart. They do so many things now that are awful! They treat you like you're an awful person.

This is my second complaint about the same store. I told myself I wouldn't go back, but after 2 months I did. I went to this Walmart store to use the Kodak Picture Maker to make some copies of my childrens holiday pictures. As I was finishing up I was rudely approached by the manager in the photo department. He swiped the photos from my hands and slammed his hand on top of the photo machine and scolded me. He told me that I was NOT to purchase these photos and that he was going to shread the photos that I did make.
I asked him what in the world was going on. He said that I wasn't allowed to make copies because they looked like copyrighted material. I explained to him that I hired my sister-in-law, a professional photographer to take pictures at my home and that I had the negatives and rights to them. I told him to give me back my photos and give me a release form to sign and he got really close and whispered in my ear-- He said, I can have you thrown out of here. I told him to get away from me.
Right then another woman came up to him and asked him for assistance. I started packing up my photos when he turned around and shouted at me and told me that he was going to throw me out of HIS store. Luckily by this time my husband had showed up and asked him what the deal was. He told my husband that I had called him a name? I was extremely upset because he purposly said this loud enough in front of a crowd of people to try to make me look bad. I in a loud voice let him know that that was NOT true and that he threatened to throw me out of the store.
I then asked to speak with a manger. He let me know that HE was a manager (I already knew this). I then asked him to speak with the store manager and he refused. I firmly let him know that if he didn't call the manager I would do find her myself. He asked me why and I let him know that he was not handling the situation in an adult manner (he seemed VERY young, late teens possibly early 20's). Another worker in the store came back to let me know that the manager would not be in for another hour.

The photo center refused to give them to me. The man told me they looked like professional work and I had to produce the photographer's release in order to get them.
I explained they were personal photos and there was no professional photographer to get a release from. They told me without the release, I couldn't have them. Next I went to customer service to see what they could do about this. They got an assistant manager who still would not give me the photos and when I asked how to get my money back (since this was paid for on line) did not do anything to give me satisfaction. For the first time in my life , I left a store calling them crooks to their faces. I certainly do not appreciate being called a thief by the employees. No one else was asked to produce such a document in order to get their pictures while I was there.
I am attempting to get my order cancelled through the company website so I will not be charged.

I went to the Walmart in Clinton, Ia on black friday to get one of the HP laptops. This store did not close so there were people waiting by the sale merchandise all night. I got to the store at 4:30 and there were two young men who said they had been standing next to the laptops since 1 am . People were gathered around all of the sale merchandise but especially the laptops.
Some of the people put their shopping carts between them and the people behind them. I asked a couple of people if they could move the carts out of the way. They said " no way " The Walmart staff saw this and did nothing to stop it. By this time there were at least 100 people gathered around in a circle of these 40 laptops. One Walmart employee came up at 4:55 and said he was going to take off the black plastic. As soon as he started to rip it off all of the people behind me rushed forward. There was a shopping cart right in front of me. It left me nowhere to go.
I was knocked to the ground and people stepped on me. I was also afraid that I was in real trouble. One of the young boys that were ahead of me helped me up. I could not believe what had happened. I have gone out shopping on black friday before and had never ever been touched let alone knocked to the ground. There was no security in this department to stop this from happening. There was one employee to handle 100 people. I did fill out an accident report at customer service. My back hurt and my neck also was sore. I was terribly upset and traumatized.
When I filled out the accident report a manager told me that they were not at fault because other customers had hurt me and not them. I asked if they ever heard of crowd control and they again said there was no other way to do it. I am 62 years old and have never been treated so poorly-- not one employee asked if I was alright or needed to sit down. They acted as if the black friday shoppers were disgusting to them.

It was Black Friday in the suburb of Boston. My girlfriend and I got there at 4:30 and waited in line til the store opened. The temperature was below freezing and the line was around the side of the store.
As the store finally opened, people who were waiting in their cars just waltzed right in like there was no line. Managers from Walmart just sat there doing nothing. Me being the very changed (reformed) person that I am now was good by not saying or doing anything. They should have said something though. After getting everyone their gifts, I finished at the jewelry desk to get Mom her jewelry. The total bill came to almost $400. I paid by check, so they had to get it approved by a manager.
25 minutes later and a lot of aggravation Pam comes over, looks at me and says this ID isn't you. I asked her if she was kidding? She said no! I said I have a military id do you want to see that? She said yes. She STILL didn't believe me!!!!!! I will never shop there again!

The Wal-Mart ad for the day after Thanksgiving sale drew a lot of people. We were in line by 3:30 AM and waited until the 5:00 AM opening. The lines were fine until 4:45 when over 100 people started to line up by the parked cars.
When the doors opened it was a stampede and people were smashed at the doors. Once in the store it was no better. Fights broke out in the electronics department and employees were yelling for police and store managers over the intercom.
Advertised toys were not available. I asked for the advertised game "Dream Life" and was told by the toy department manager that the game never came in and it was store police not to issue rain checks.
The duel DVD portable players were nowhere to be found as well. You could not get any answers from anyone in the store where they were or if they had them.
Damages: When a store advertises items I think it is their responsibility to have to goods offered. In Wal-Mart's case they did not and made no effort to fix the problem.

You say this company is fair so I as an ex employee feel you should know the other side, granted I am not saying that all of Walmart is like this and I have visited several where they are decent people dedicated to their customers as well as their associates.
Recently I was terminated over a manager sexually harassing me. I have registered complaints with the store, the ethics department, and the home office. This has done no good. The store I left is customer oriented at the expense of the associates, they are paid below adequate wages, they are continually forced to work overtime only to have to cut it the next day or by the end of the week. Every other week you here of one department or another that has been cut back in hours yet again. We hire all kinds of cashiers there because we feel that customer satisfaction is key to a vital business. Alas do not ask for us to hire stockers or more associates to put back up the millions upon millions of dollars in stock that we sell, in our store alone, every week. These are not key associates so long as the customer can purchase the products we do have in a timely manner so we don't have to discomfort you in any way.
All I can say is when you go home from a walmart remember that store 2049 cares deeply about your business, and when you see a haggard associate who is working for minimum wage or is opening up after closing the night before you just tell them to open a register when you get ready to leave so they can take your money and smile and then take an exedrin to alliviate their headache.

On November 5, 2004 I took three digital photo files to Wal-Marts photo dept. to have pictures printed. These photos were taken with my Minolta Dimage 7hi camera. I am a "hobby photographer" so I try different things, like playing with different light settings and backdrops to see if I can produce some quality photos. I think that I have a long way to go, but with some of the problems I run into with photo labs you would think otherwise!
Anyway back to my problem with Wal-Mart. I entered all the required data plus my photo files into their lab computer, then I was prompted by the computer to select either agree or disagree button after reading through their policy which included copyright protection instructions. So I naturally picked agree because they were my pictures. Then I went back an hour later to receive the harshest treatment and humiliation from Wal-Mart employees.
First their clerk accused me of copying professional photos, their dept. manager refused to give me my pictures, and then their assistant store manager kicked me out of the store. I'm so frustrated I think that maybe knitting might be a better hobby for me! The reason for deciding to take pictures to Wal-Mart for printing is because of their cheap prices and fairly good quality.

Walmart in Cookeville, Tennessee -- My daughter and I went to Walmart to do our major shopping. We finally found a checkout open. This was at 9:00 pm. There were A LOT of unsavory people in only what I can call packs of males. My daughter was very uncomfortable shopping because of a lot of stares. We decided to cut the trip short and leave. We checked out ($212.00 grocery bill) and went to my car. My daughter took my purse and keys. She opened the passenger door and put my purse in the console and the keys in the ignition. The lock button accidentally got pushed and we were locked out!
A nice man and his son did stop to help. He was a mechanic but needed a coat hanger to open my door. His son went inside Walmart and explained the situation. They would not let him have one. So the man said, "You take my son with you and I will stay with your daughter." You see my buggy of groceries was half in and half out of my car -- my frozen items melting. I went to the Security manager and explained what happened and the fact my daughter was out there in the dark with a stranger we just met. He wouldn't even go out there to my daughter!
The only thing he said was, "We don't know if you are trying to get into your car or steal that car." I told him IF I wanted to steal a car it would not be a 92 Ford Taurus. There are a lot better cars out there to steal. Besides my car info is in it if he could just get me a coat hanger I would show him my ID. He told me to call a locksmith. DAH! My purse with all my money is locked up. I didn't have change for the phone! Then he told me "Maybe" customer service would call. I went to customer service and explained my situation. STILL no coat hanger! But he did call a locksmith.
The woman standing there, an employee in the Toy department, told me to go to my daughter she would see to it that the locksmith got called. Then all of a sudden she showed up at the car with me and said she would stay until the locksmith got there, that we didn't need to be alone in the parking lot. She took her own lunch and stayed with us. So much for the security! Walmart did not care that my daughter could have been in danger! The security, nobody. Except the nice toy department worker!

I was waiting in line for over 20 minutes and was not moving up very fast when I gave up and pulled my cart over to a desk in back of the registers and told the person there that with all these people waiting to check out they should have had more cashiers on duty at this time of night (7:00pm). I would like to bring your attention a complaint I have about the checkout lines at the Wal-Mart Supercenter Store #3538, 8500 North Wickham Road, Viera, FL. I am extremely upset about this. I bought groceries at the end of November. After the cashier rang my groceries in, she began to ring my coupons. I had a coupon for nearly every item I bought. All of a sudden the register gave her an error about "exceeding maximum" and wouldn't let her take the rest of my coupons off.
I did not have more coupons than items and there was about a $60.00 balance left on the order, so the coupons did not exceed the value of my groceries. Neither of us had seen this error before. She did not know what to do, so called a front-end manager. This manager made her re-ring the whole order. We got the same error message again, but after a different number of coupons. The manager voided the order and rang it again herself. Same problem, after yet another different number of coupons.
The manager said, "I know you have all these products and you do not have too many coupons, but I don't know what to do, so you just won't be able to use your coupons on this order." I have now been getting rung out for almost an HOUR. Not standing waiting my turn, mind you. An hour AFTER the cashier began to ring me out. I said why don't I just pay you and then you have the service desk give me the money for the coupons the register won't take? The manager said they had to go through this register.
I know this is not true because I have taken coupons to the service desk before that I forgot to give the cashier, and gotten my money. I finally broke the order up into 4 orders, had them ring it up, gave them the exact same coupons and it all went through fine. This took me over an hour to get done.

Today is " Black Friday" so I looked at the ads in the paper yesterday to see if there was anything worth fighting the crowds for. So in the Walmart ad I spot a $30.00 DVD player and a Lite Bright Cube for $10.00 for my daughter. Our DVD player has just stopped working. So I figured I would venture out for the 25 mile drive, in the fog ,with my 5 and 2 year old. I set the alarm for 6:00, dragged my children out of bed and proceeded to Walmart. I arrived there at 6:30 went straight back to the electronics department and to my surprise there wasn't any $30.00 DVD players. There was $70.00, $90.00 and $150.00 DVD players though.
So I asked the clerk what time they sold out, and she informed me 6:15. I also asked if there were as many of the $30.00 DVD players as the $90.00 one, when the sale began at 6:00. The clerk said they had about twice as many of the more expensive ones because they were" a better quality". So this is when I got pretty mad. I then decided I should go check out the Lite Bright Cube to see if I could get one of those. They too were all sold out. Now mind you, this is now about 6:40, forty minutes after the six hour sale had begun. So I started to ask myself, is there a shortage of DVD players and Lite Brights. HUMMMMMM I doubt it.
So now I will get to my complaint. Walmart purposely ordered a very inadequate amount of the items that were "eye-catching" in their ads. Why? Because they could draw people in ,and maybe they would buy the more expensive items, that Walmart made sure they had lots of. I forgot to say that they had a display model left and I asked if I could get a rain check. See i would think since Walmart obviously screwed up on their ordering, they would love to redeem themselves by offering rain checks. I know why they are not, because they want people to buy the other models that are in the store today. Well I walked out of there without spending any of the money I had in my pocket. My husband and I usually spend around $2000.00 on Christmas presents for our family. I can guarantee that Walmart won't see one dime of it.

While grocery shopping at the Walmart Super Store 6/27/02 I stopped at the Deli to pick up some fried chicken for a picnic supper I had planned with my son and his family. I grabbed one bag and put it into my cart. I then grabbed another with my right hand and was immediately burned by hot grease pouring from the bag. (I had picked it up on the side and cradled the bottom with my hand, because the partially folded top of the bag looked ripped and I wasn't sure the bag would support the weight if I grabbed it at the frayed top.)
I then quickly took the top of the bag with my left hand so I could look to see what was burning my hand. I saw the palm of my hand was covered in grease. At about the same time I felt a burning sensation on my leg from two drops that landed there. I then put the bag back where I took it from, and proceeded to attempt to explain to the man behind the Deli counter that I was burned and the bag had leaked and at the same time held up my hand so he could see it was covered with grease.
I raised my voice a little and said that grease came pouring out of the bag. He frowned and I told him again; as he acted like he didn't comprehend what I was saying and again showed him my grease covered hand. He said that it was impossible, that the bags don't leak. I showed him my hand again and told him exactly what happened. He asked if I was badly hurt and if I wanted to see a manager. I said I didn't know how bad I was hurt and that I guessed I wouldn't want to talk to the manager.
He then said he didn't know how that could have happened, and by this time I was getting a little upset with him. I asked him for something to wipe my hand with and he gave me a sheet of pink toweling. I wiped my hand and told him I thought I'd like to see a manager after all. My hand was burning and so I asked him if he could get me some ice. He gave me the ice in another pink toweling and called for the manager. The manager must have been awful busy. They announced him to the Deli, but it seemed forever before he got there.
When he arrived I explained it all to him showing him my hand my leg the grease that also landed on my top and my shorts as well as the grease on the top of two mini salads in frount of where you get the chicken out of and the counter and floor. These were drops but the total amout of grease from it all was ample. He said he was sorry - I told him I wanted the bags changed so that this wouldn't happen again, and pointed out that it could have been a child instead of me. I told him I didn't want this ever to happen again to anyone, and that I wanted some assurance that something would be done. He said he doubted if the corporation would change the bag over just one person being burned. This did upset me and I said, you mean more people have to be burned before anything can be done about it! He said he was sorry he didn't mean it that way and he said he thought it could possibly a problem right there with the workers not draining the grease properly.
I told him I wanted to be contacted and it proven to me that the employees had been warned to properly drain the chicken and assurance that it would be done.I also told him that I loved shopping there - did in fact do most of my shopping of all kinds at Walmart. I love the way the chicken tastes but that some day some Mom was going to say to her child,"Oh, grab one of those bags of chicken for me" And the kid will, and the kid will get burt! I also told him how the juices do leak out of the containers that hold the rotisserie chicken too and than Walmart should rectify that.

I think this is a little misleading when they roll back their prices. I think they should only use those signs for the exact same product. The product I am questioning is called Body Essence - Tea Tree Oil Body Wash. The original size was 35 fl. oz. for approximately $3.99 The UPC is 031477912466. On August 5, 2003 I bought a bike from Wal-Mart in Alpena, MI. It was a Mongoose KO 20" Freestyle BMX. On August 12th, my daughter was riding this bike down a hill when the crank and pedal came off. The bolt came right out of the crank and you could see where the threads were stripped or crossed over. This caused her to flip over the handle bars.
She received a broken left arm, a sprained right wrist and 3 stitches in her chin. On August 13, I returned this bike to Wal-Mart and they gave us a new bike. They said that once the bike leaves their store, they are not responsible for accidents, even if they assembled the bike.
Today, I returned to that same store and out on their sidewalk was this same bike for sale at a reduced price. They had put in a new bolt but the cover to the hole is still missing, there is a hole in the seat and the handle bar grips are damaged so I know this is the same bike I returned.
Who is responsible for the injuries my daughter recieved? And how can they put that bike out for sale when the crank threads are stripped? If Wal-Mart, who assembled the bike, is not responsible, then Mongoose has to be. Rose R said that the crank comes already on the bike and they don't put that part together.
Gary should retain an aggressive personal injury lawyer to go after Wal-Mart for his daughter's medical bills and her pain and suffering. If the bike was defective Wal-Mart and the manufacturer are liable.
Also, Gary should check our Recalls section. There have been several recalls of bicycles variously described as BMX and Mongoose that might match the one he purchased. If Wal-Mart is selling recalled bicycles, they are on thin ice indeed.

On 12/01/99 my house was broken into and some things were stolen, I called the police and made a report. At the time all I found missing was $3,000 worth of jewelry and a cell phone.
On 12/5/99 the police came to my house at 1:00 am and woke me up to tell me they had a car pulled over down the street, with 4 people in it and was I missing a packet of checks. When I looked, the answer was yes.
They asked me to come to the corner and indentify the checks and people. Well, to make a long story short, they had my checks and I then found out at that time they had written some at Wal-Mart for $230 worth of items with no form of ID.
I feel this is clearly negligent on the part of Wal-Mart. I know for a fact that I have been there and wrote checks and I was never asked for a driver's licence or California ID.
On the same night the checks cleared the bank and took all my children's Christmas money. If I had known the checks were missing I would have told the police on the original report. Now my children don't have a Christmas.
If Wal-Mart would have done their job and required ID this would have never happen. I feel the least they can do is send me a gift certificate for the amount of money since they got paid. The bank is not even sure if they can reimburse me.
