Your advertising says that you price match other store prices. Well that's not true. We had an ad from Hy-Vee on their brand products so we thought that Walmart store Raytown, MO would match it with your Great Value brand. We were informed that it only applies to name brand products. If that's true, your advertisement is false. We would appreciate if you would acknowledge this note to you. It makes one not want to shop at Walmart when they false advertise. We go to this particular Walmart in Raytown, MO every Saturday, but around that Walmart are the other stores that do match. We've always loved the Walmart store. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.

I ordered an item online from the site to store pick up on 9/8/12 and paid $38.06. On 9/13, I got an email that my item was ready. When I went to Walmart, the girl went to pull my order and checked twice. She said she couldn't find it. I then cancelled my order the next day, 9/14, and will be credited the $38.06 in the coming days. No apology or effort was made to get me my item - not even a shipment to my home that would guarantee any theft from a desperate and immature employee. I know Walmart (million or billion dollar industry) doesn't care, unless this complaint could get to the right person in the chain of command.

I went to Walmart with the intention to buy a phone, among other things. On a total of three visits in four days, we were told that the person in charge of phones was on lunch and that we would have to wait no more than half an hour. They didn't offer someone to back them up. And it didn't matter what time of day it was, they always gave the same excuse. The fourth time they did this to us, I got the nerve up to ask for a manager. The employee was reluctant to call one up until I was about to get one myself. Employee called one up, and the manager promptly arrived and behold, about ten minutes later, I was helped.

I became disabled just over four years ago. Over time, my condition had worsened to the point where I begin using a cane because of certain episodes, stability, and balance. Using this device is more difficult than anyone may imagine not only physically but mentally. When I began using the cane, I made every effort to leave it home because it showed my loss of ability. But over time, the necessity outweighed embarrassment and guilt of using the crutch (cane). We very recently got a super center Wal-Mart in our town. I had not yet visited the store but my wife and son had. I don't usually go because of the walking distances involved, although my son and I visited it last night to get some insoles for his shoes.
When the checker completed her transaction with the customer in front of us, she turned to help us and the first words to me were, "So what do we call you, gimpy?" I could not even reply. All I wanted to do is leave. Although we finished our transaction and as we left out the door, my son actually turned to me and said, "She was not being very nice. It's like she was mocking you on purpose." I understand that shopping at Wal-Mart as advertised may save you lots of dollars. But now I also believe the local store's motto is shop local for a politer hometown greeting. I know now though. I don't plan on going shopping or even out much more as I would rather not be that person called out in public.

Wal-Mart made unlawful charges on my credit card. Your company, Wal-Mart, mistakenly processed ** (Incident: **) and ** (Incident: **). There was no identity theft. If you look, Wal-Mart canceled the order before I saw it. The hold on my credit card caused it to be in overdraft. My financial institution requested a fax sent to 512-532-8323 from Wal-Mart stating reference number ** in order to release this hold. I talked to a Wal-Mart Customer Service rep named Mariah with ID number ** at 10am on 9-7-2012 and gave her the same information.
I know my financial institution’s policy is on hold. I want Wal-Mart to know these holds have caused an overdraft. I had just purchased an airline ticket to go to see my father in Florida who has been admitted to intensive care. I never placed this order and now I have overdraft fees. I am under a lot of stress because of this. Who is going to pay for the overdraft and any additional ones that occur because your company made a mistake and processed an order that never was placed? Does your company even care about the consumer who uses your services? What are you going to do to make this right? Should I contact a lawyer? “We understand your concerns and we apologize for the inconvenience” is just not enough in this situation.
This was on the Wal-Mart customer service survey I filled out: “Is there one thing Walmart.com could have done to completely satisfy you? Please be as specific as possible.” My reply: Wal-Mart mistakenly placed two orders on my credit card and then canceled them. I asked a fax be sent to my financial institution to release hold, but they refused and said I just have to wait the 3 to 5 days. This hold put on my credit card caused an overdraft charge on Friday morning. This is Monday and I still don't have grocery or gas money because of Wal-Mart making a mistake. I really think it is very unfair for your company to try and take my money and then won't give it back. Isn't that called theft? Why do you think it is ok, because I will get it back eventually? I think you owe me the original amount taken, overdraft charge, and a gift card for groceries and gas, along with a written apology.

I am so tired of not finding what I'm shopping for in this store and the address is in Cobleskill, New York state in the United States of America which is not listed here, not good at all. My issue is, I like to have Kool-Aid to drink. This store in Cobleskill, New York in America for the last two months has orange and orange only. This is one instance of what this store location is like. I have been to other Walmarts in other locations and they are okay but this location is the worst. I always leave without at least 10 items I intended to buy but as advertised. It is not in this store. What the heck is up with Cobleskill? They have bad service and no product. I'm so tired of it.

I was shopping for my son's first day of school. I had my boyfriend, grandma, son and my boyfriend's brother with me. My boyfriend's brother was walking around in the store. We were nowhere near him and didn't think about it. He said he was going to the bathroom. Well, it was like 30 min. went by and my boyfriend decided to go look for him. Well, he was walking to the car when my boyfriend found him. A lady came out of Walmart telling my boyfriend's 17-year old brother to stop. So he did. She said to undo his pants and let her see what was in them.
At this time, she suspected that he had stolen from there the other day so that was her excuse to tell him to unbutton his pants. He was a minor at that. Well, he did have something on him but we didn't know anything about it. My boyfriend came to me and told me what was going on. So, I went back to see what was going to happen to him. I thought he needed to be punished for doing something like that. He told us that he had seen someone else do it and thought he would try and for the record he didn't take anything the day before.
What happened was she banned me and my family from Walmart because of what he had done. I asked her why I was banned and she said, "because I don't want you all here." I have never been in trouble and I don't understand why we were banned when we did not do anything wrong. I feel like she should have to apologize to me and my family because I work for everything I have. I am no thief and wouldn't steal anything from anybody and I feel like I can sue Walmart because of her. She should get fired for banning my family from there when we didn't have anything to do with it and didn't know anything about it.
I shop at Walmart everyday and spend most of my money there and I don't feel like it was right for her to ban us. But as for him, I think he should be punished and he was and I feel like he should be banned but not me and my boyfriend. What can I do to be able to shop at Walmart again? I would like for someone to contact me by email asap about it or I will talk to a lawyer.

Walmart cashier took a check from a man (I am female), did not even look at him to check ID or anything, just ran the check through with the TeleCheck. Now TeleCheck expects me to pay them the amount, in which I will join the guy (that wrote checks on me) in jail before I will pay them. Walmart and their cashier should take the loss and pay me the $60 I had to pay to stop the checks for them being too lazy or in a hurry to check ID.

I wanted to price match a pair of Michigan pajamas and socks. I didn't bring the ad with me because the last few times I went to Walmart, they didn't ask to see them! Of course, today they did. I told them I would bring the ad back with me. The lady said they would keep the items up at the service desk for me. By the time I got home, I was so upset about this. I called Walmart and told them they could put the stuff back on the floor and that I was going out of town to do my shopping!

For the last 4 to 5 visits to the Walmart store in the Johnson City, NY, I have been very unhappy. I live less than a half a mile away and would love to shop there. But every time I take a chance going there to buy something, I find that they’re always out of stock of what I'm there to buy. Last night, I went there to buy a simple item, a drip maker coffee pot. They had 4 to 5 on display but were out of stock on these items. The shelf was empty of the ones I would have bought. Two other couples were also looking and were amazed that there wasn't any. We were all upset that we were going to have to go someplace else to buy one. We chatted for a few minutes and they too have problems with this store being out of stock on certain items. The bottom line is that we did not spend our money at Walmart and had to go to another store to buy our product. I don't know what’s happening here but would like to see it resolved. Thank You.

I called for warranty on an air mattress. They then told me I had to call the brand directly, who then told me they do not cover air mattresses and that I needed to call support again. I called them and they told me they will send a return label. I then stressed the fact that I live over an hour away and asked if they can have UPS come pick up the defective item I purchased. They said they absolutely cannot do this. I asked to speak to a supervisor, who also stated they would not reimburse a call tag from UPS and there is no one who can override this. So basically, I need to spend $4.00/gallon of gas to drive an hour to UPS for this junk I purchased to be refunded. Worst service ever. I'll be sure to pass it along to everyone I know.

About 2 weeks ago, I bought two 5 x 7 rugs to put into my living room when I noticed about a couple of days later there were fleas getting on my kids. So, I went to the Pet dept. and bought 2 tins of powder and well, they still had fleas after. I also have a much larger rug in the living room which I noticed they had gotten into also. I put all 3 rugs in my basement and went back to Walmart and bought flea fogger bomb things and set off all four even though my husband said it was overkill but guess what? They were not. We still had fleas so I returned to Walmart and got some more powder and some flea spray and well that didn't work either. I even left the powder on for a couple of days and it didn't even seem to affect them. I am upset for my husband and I are out of work and we just spent and lost (because I give up and have thrown the rugs out) about $150 in rugs and buying flea killer stuff that didn't work.

So to make it short, on Sunday 1:25pm, shift Manager Tiffany was called and employee Jason were being really rude. We told Tiffany that to forget about us trying to get a refund, to give us our money order blank like we had handed to them and they refused to help us. I filed a complaint with Walmart because there was one transaction that was unauthorized charged to my account. I received an email stating that I bought two iTunes gift cards and I didn’t make this purchase. When I called to complain about this, I was told by a customer service representative that there has been a lot of this sort of thing going on with many other people and they would take my complaint and contact me about reversing the charges on this. I then got an email from my bank account stating that I had overdrawn my checking account because Walmart had taken the money out of my checking account to cover for these iTunes cards. I have these charges on my bank account and the overdraft fee as well.
I contacted my bank to let them know that there were some unauthorized charges on my account and they said they would look into it and would take the charges off my bank account as well as the overdraft charge. I was told that it was taken care of about a week after the incident. One month later, these charges for the iTunes gift cards were put back on my bank account minus the overdraft charges. I contacted my bank and they said that Walmart told them that they did an investigation and they came to the conclusion that I did order these cards. I did some research on this and found out that when you order these iTunes gift cards that a PIN would be sent to my email to activate these cards. Someone somehow got a PIN and is using these cards on my dime.
I contacted the company that issues these cards through Walmart and they are supposed to look into this. In the meantime, Walmart is not working with me on this and investigating how this happened. I told them that since they have been having problems with this happening with others, why can’t they return my funds and take care of their problem? They are saying that these cards were ordered on my end and I would have to pay for these. I am 51 and very illiterate with what the heck these are for and how they are used and I am being scammed by Walmart.

I am so sorry to see that Wal-Mart is losing money and must do away with match pricing, even though they continue to advertise it. I have always brought in ads from other stores and they have matched the price, even if it was a store brand. A while back, a local store advertised their store brand hot dogs at 69 cents for a 12 oz package. This means grandchildren were coming and we were grilling out. What a deal! I got six KBar brand. I was told it was not on sale because it was no Wal-Mart brand. (Funny, about five weeks before, I got them as a store brand and they did honor the ad.) No time to run, so I took them for 98 cents. Yesterday, I took an ad for Ruler Foods (Kroger), picked up Great Value diced tomatoes 28oz can and Wal-Mart brand ground beef 5lb flavor seal. Ruler advertised the tomatoes 99 cents a can and the ground beef at $9.99. At check out, the clerk said they only match the brand that is advertised. What?
Since when does Wal-Mart carry Kroger brands? Some lady behind me also questioned this. According to the clerk, they were told to do this per store manager. Of course, when I asked to see the store manager, he was not there. Head cashier said, "It has always been that way and evidently, I had gotten a few new cashiers that misunderstood the ad." What? How many years have I been that lucky? Well, to make a long story short, I left the articles. I've never done that before but Wal-Mart has really ticked me off and I haven't even mentioned all the times I've been overcharged by them and had to go back or just eat it. I live in a small town. Wal-Mart is the only major department store besides Dollar General. I do go to Louisville, KY about once a month so I've decided to do most of my shopping away and shop at the local stores (not Wal-Mart) only for necessities. So much for keeping revenue in a small town.

I purchased $125.00 worth of gift cards from Walmart.com because they didn't have them in the store. The shipping was free. I paid with PayPal and received an email stating that my items were shipped via USPS, but didn't include any tracking information. I was told they would arrive by 7/31. On 7/30, I emailed Walmart.com to ask where my gift cards were. I received an email stating that someone would be in "contact" with me within 3 business days. That didn't happen. I contacted them again, both email and customer service 800#, and was told they would have to investigate the matter. This went on for almost 20 days, no response other than it has been elevated to the next level.
Approximately 30 days into this, I received an email stating that $75 was credited to my account with no explanation. I sent multiple emails to them stating that I ordered $125 worth of gift cards. $100 Brinker Restaurant, $25 Starbucks, how and why am I only being credited $75? To this date nobody has ever bothered to contact me from Walmart. I opened up a case with PayPal and was told after further review that there wasn't enough evidence, no tracking number, etc., and that they could do nothing more. I am still out $50 because I have never received the gift cards and if I was told that there was no tracking available with free shipping, I would have never purchased them from this company.
I have used them many times in the past and have always had a tracking number for my items. Buyers beware. Do not purchase anything online from Walmart. They do not stand behind their policies regarding items that were never delivered!

Our primary residence is in Mexico, but we travel back to Atlanta, GA once a year to buy products that are hard to find here as well as seeing our children. We have now made a determined effort to look anywhere else we can find rather than to go to Walmart. Change for a small bill at the register, hardly ever. Candy kept filled at the checkout lane, forget it. Restocking shelves, sometimes. Rotate stock, only if it is sold out before the new inventory.
It is a shame because your problems are so easy to fix. Instead of employees standing at the end of sections talking to each other, they might try working. When a checkout line is long and another cashier is standing talking to a friend, they might try opening the register. As for running out of simple products, it is your loss. We also go into Guadalajara once a month with a shopping list. First we go to Costco and only if they don't have a product do we go to Sam's. Please folks, don't morph into Kmart. Your customer service needs an awakening.

My family and I shop at Wal-Mart in Orange Texas a few times a month. We spend about a $1,000 between the 3 of us a month. My mother and father are both disabled and can’t walk very far and their balance is off due to strokes. They fall sometimes and they need the electric riding carts to do their shopping. For the past month, 6 of the electric riding carts have been broken. They tell us they don't know when they will be fixed. There are never enough carts to be found and since the 6 are broken, we have had to shop elsewhere.
We all like to do our shopping at Wal-Mart because everything we need can be found there. We don't have to shop at 2 or 3 different places. We are very angry about the situation and wonder if they could order more carts or get them fixed? We don't like to have to shop at different places. The girl at the counter handed me the bucket and I went through the cash register. I opened the bucket between me and my daughter in my VW Beetle (tiny car) and picked and ate as I shifted and drove, not paying attention to the chicken but the road. So let's get the story right. I decided to take her and our drinks to the park with our chicken for lunch she was more interested in playing than eating. From the store to Moore Park is a 10- or 15-minute drive depending on traffic. We got to the park, I put the cover on the chicken, tied the bag, grabbed my soda and her drink, and my phone. We went into the park, she went in the fenced area while I sat with the chicken at the picnic table. I did not open the chicken in the bag that was tied up until I got home, which was a half an hour later.
I took some items to my brother-in-law and husband's bear bait site in the field and came back to the house, which altogether takes anywhere from 8 to 10 minutes from the park to my house. Then a 4-minute drive down my backfield to the bait site. My daughter and I walked inside, put our stuff on the counter and she said, "Mommy can I have some more popcorn chicken?" I said, "Sure hon, get mommy the bucket and a fork." She brought it over to me. I untied the bag and opened the cover. She went to eat a piece in which she did of the popcorn chicken and I went to stab a piece of the General Tso's with a fork because it's saucy and I didn't have a fork at my disposal in my car (who does, right?).
I looked into the bucket and saw these little patches of whatever on the chicken and upon further inspection, saw the maggots in the corner of the bucket. I flipped out, swore and immediately grabbed my phone to video what I was seeing so I could show it to my mom on Facebook in FL because she does not have a smartphone with media apps, etc. I tried calling my friend Dawn, no answer, so I called my mom and told her what I was going to share with her and my friends. I had this chicken for a total of maybe an hour and a half from the time I bought it to the time I posted the disgusting video. I brought this to the attention of the manager before I even posted it to Facebook or YouTube. I never received one apology for what was in our lunch.
I got, "I don't use that language, I would appreciate you not speak to me with that language." Guess what public? I apologized to her! Then she said, "You did say you were at the park (okay, she would not let me finish to tell her the bag was tied before she started to point the finger back at me), then said, "We cook our meat fresh every two hours." Okay fine, but you're going to accuse me at the get-go and not look into the matter, not go to the deli and find out how or why, or investigate if there was a problem. You point the finger at the consumer. She offered for me to leave the bucket at home and said at my leisure, I could come get my $12 back. They never shut down the deli, they continued to serve food to customers.
When one customer went into Walmart, she mentioned to one of the other people about my video. The man walked away, the managers came out and a very tall, heavy man named Peter appeared and told her to leave the store. If she didn't, he would call the cops. A food inspection was done two days later, giving them time to clean and fix any possible things that could have been in violation. Why was this not done when I called? Had I known, I would have called the health inspector first. I have received hate mail because of this instance. I had not eaten for three days straight and emotionally have been having a hard time with how it was handled - the way I was treated and the false statement the paper made on the matter has caused the community to look upon us, my family, like we are fraud, scammers, unfit parents and I have been made fun of being called a fat pig, slob scam. I was told I'm mentally unstable and the list goes on and on.
This has caused pain, suffering and emotional distress on many levels. The manager lied to the MDA in the report, telling him I had been with the food eating it at the park for 4 hours. The comments made from Walmart to the public through media and papers have been completely different than the reports and what was originally said (they can't keep their story straight). Sun Journal and Bangor daily news have both written an article about this stating I had spoken to a lawyer, when that was not true at all and added a paragraph about me that was unrelated to the story, causing a public outrage demeaning me and my family and making us look bad to our community. We can't go to any store without getting looked at and talked about. You can see some of the nasty comments on the YouTube page under "contaminated Walmart chicken." I am a senior adult. I have shopped at Wal-Mart since they started in business in our area. It was the only place to shop when the original owner started this business. One could find all needs and had the most considerate workers I had ever come in contact with. But when Mr. Sam died, so did good manners and nice people. You have the meanest, most unhappy, uncaring people working in Wal-Mart stores that I have ever met. You have become a nightmare store for shopping. Your merchandise has parts missing.
After standing in line for over 30 minutes, one gets home and has to carry back what they have purchased, and stand in line for another hour to make a return. We do have a Kmart in this area and I plan to start shopping there again. Wal-Mart is a joke. You have rude people working in your stores and not enough cash registers are open. Where do you find these people? Good manners and respect for the customer is dead in your stores. I don't know what your problem is, but you have a major one in the people you have representing your stores. Shame on you. You have lost what you started out to be. Poor Mr. Sam had a greater vision in mind!

Three weeks later, after numerous phone calls to customer service due to tracking information being wrong, I was told it is on the truck on its way to the store. Finally, after telling them I was reporting them to the attorney general, I was told the item was never in stock, no apologies, just the rudest stupid people I have ever encountered. The bottom line is, I was charged and paying interest on merchandise that was never available.

I have multiple complaints about the lack of attention in the produce department, multiple times bringing home produce you think is okay (avocados, melons) only to cut into them and find out that they are spoiled. I speak to the manager. They promise that there is a turn over in staff, blah, blah, blah. A year later, we're still at the exact same place we started. It is a total disgrace. I find it highly suspect that the demographics of Walmart are relegated to inferior product choice and expected to tolerate such blatant disregard for product selection. Complaints, a la Walmart, never get fixed because nobody, and I mean nobody gives a hoot. It shows in the morale of the personnel. The fish rots from the head down. It is only that I live across the street that I go for a few items occasionally. In general, I avoid this store like the Bubonic plague. Shame on Walmart!

When the cashier went to ask for help, the person coming out of the office very loudly said I was told that I did not have to ring. She did attempt to ring me up. When she had a problem with the check, she went and got the assistant manager Al, who was very rude and refused to take the check, stating that the 1 looked like a Roman numeral. I have paid my bill using an agency check for over 5 years and I never had any problems until today. I don't know and I'm really surprised at the unprofessional attitude and tone of voice that was directed at me by Al! He refused to give me his last name stating that he doesn't give out his last name pointing to his badge stating that he was the only Al that worked there. The way they treat their employees - There are assistant managers at Store #1034 that should not be managers. I know a couple of employees that were talking to visiting family and friends. I know one employee that got in trouble with an assistant manager for saying goodbye to her parents. They came into the Stettler store to buy some pillows and to say, "hi and bye" and to see what time she was off work. She told them, when they left, an assistant manager told her that she should just say hi and bye and get back to work.
Assistant manager told her that assistant manager got too many complaints about her standing around talking. When the employee tried to talk to the assistant manager about the other employees in the store that stand around talking with family and friends, they don't get into trouble. Now this employee's family refuse to step foot in the store because they feel that they will get her into more trouble. I feel that there should be a consequence to their actions. There has been more than this one that assistant managers have been on all employees' backs except for the ones they like. This is coming from a customer that shops at the Stettler store #1034. If it comes down to assistant managers treating their employees like this, then there will be no one that will want to work for Walmart.

When I approached the counter to be checked out, the cashier did not even greet me - she was too busy looking at the Walmart sales ad. Once I was finished paying, I left the store and went home. After I was home for maybe an hour, I was going over my receipt and I noticed I had been overcharged. I purchased 1 box of Prilosec 14 day supply for $9.94. I noticed on my receipt that the cashier charged me for 4 boxes of Prilosec! I was so upset that now I had to drive all the way back to Walmart which is about 20 miles from my house. I did get my money from the overcharge but is anyone going to give me gas money for my inconvenience? No not hardly.
The Walmart here in Beaufort, SC is terrible. The employees act like you are bothering them when you ask them where anything is. They never have enough cashiers. You end up having to wait at least 30-45 minutes to be checked out. I am disabled and have to use the riding carts to do my shopping, the last 2 times the cart I was using died right there in the aisle. I had to go all the way up to the front of the store to get another one that was actually charged. This Walmart is in need of getting some new handicap carts. As much money as this store makes, they really should invest in new ones.

Customer service would only let my son return two of the three pairs. They were George brand. They said they didn't carry the one pair as they didn't sell that brand. Now, how can they say that when they all came from Wal-Mart? My son then went to the back in the boy's dept. and there was a whole display rack of George pants. My son then returned to customer service and explained this and they still refused to exchange the one pair. This is ridiculous. So, I will not go to another Wal-Mart for anything. Beware of Sault Ste. Marie, MI Walmart and managers ** and **. Today, 8-26-12 at 6:49 pm, my wife went to the local Walmart for 28 items. She picked up one package (12-count) of Scott toilet paper for $3.98 with a $1.00 off (use now) coupon affixed to each package. When she got home, she told me Walmart was having a good sale on toilet paper, so I decided to drive into town to stock up. Upon arrival was a large floor stand of Scott toilet paper with a clearly marked sign which read $3.98. So, I removed the coupons and filled my cart with the paper.
When I got to the check-out line, each roll rang up at the advertised $3.98. After the coupons were included, the total was $59.80 plus tax, but the cashiers screen said, “Manager approval required.” She assumed it was due to a large number of coupons being used. When the managers, ** and **, arrived they said the sign was wrong and the item should have been $9.47. They said (lied) that only the sign was wrong, but the correct price was in the computer system. I explained that I had just watched the cashier ring up the items at $2.98 each. I also explained that about an hour earlier my wife had purchased the same item for $2.98, prompting me to make a second trip to town (see attached sales receipt which clearly states Scott 12-pack/$3.98 less $1.00 coupon).
** and ** put their collective minds together and concluded that I could have only one package of the item at the advertised price. I feel they should have honored the advertised price. If it was a mistake, it wasn’t mine. I also had considerable time and expenses associated with my trip to the store solely for this one item. I asked if they could sell me the items at the advertised price and then correct their mistake. They said no. I asked them if they would pay for my time and gas. They said no. I asked them if they thought they were being fair. They said (no kidding), “If you’re going to be argumentative and combatant, we’ll have to ask you to leave before we call the police.”
Holy smokes! These two geniuses lie, threaten slighted customers, and apparently mislabel the cost of their products. What more could these two rocket scientists have done to create a more unpleasant shopping experience? At least they didn’t spit on me as I left empty-handed.

I have worked for Walmart 5 years and 9 months. The problem started this year, 2012. I am a part time worker. My availability has been 6 o'clock pm to 12 o'clock am, Mondays through Thursdays, off on Fridays, work Saturdays and off on Sundays, average of 25 to 28 hours a week through my whole career at Walmart. Well, now my availability is not good enough, but I work another job, therefore I can't start earlier than 5:30 pm. And so now my hours are cut. I am getting nine hours to 23 hours a week. I was told that I needed to change my availability to get more hours.
Instead of having my start time at 6 o'clock, I changed it to 5:30 pm, and opened up Fridays. Guess what? Now I get to work every Friday and Saturday, but I get three to four days off during the week while new employees get the weekends off and all the hours. I feel that my seniority should count for something. I am still not getting more hours and now I work every weekend. This might be legal, but it's not fair to me. Walmart doesn't show any compassion for dedicated workers. It doesn't matter that I have been there 5 years and nine months. I've been treated like I started yesterday. Also, this started with a new manager, and when I asked her about my hours being cut so drastically, her response was, "I don't like it either, but the computer does the scheduling so there is nothing I can do."
Well, to my surprise, I don't work for people anymore. I work for a computer! However before, the assistance managers would go into the system and adjust the hours so the hours could be distributed fairly. Now they are not allowed to under this new manager. So now I am angry because I feel it's unfair to me. I depend on my hours to make ends meet. This is why I work two jobs.

I've been here five years and I've yet to be late once. Why do I give you this info? Because my sister, Lydia, is 20 years old and just as disciplined as myself. She would have been a great addition to the company. She went for an interview at 1, arriving at 12:30. She was not seen until 1:20. Then they harassed her stating she inputted a wrong SSN on her electronic application and that was fraud. It was a mistake. The Wal-Mart monitor keys are almost impossible to type with on the monitor that's provided to apply for, which she explained. The interviewer stated she needed Lydia's actual SS card and DL.
My sister, being prepared, promptly provided the documents. The interviewer stated she'd be back in a few moments. Forty, that's 4-0, minutes later at approx 2:00, the interviewer returned, stated she'd be right back after updating information and left. My sister and I (I dropped her off as I was doing shopping, I had my oil changed and came back, she had not been seen in that time) waited on a bench for an additional 40 minutes, asking employees walking by twice to check on her. They returned stating she was updating information. I heard her in the inventory area laughing and talking, clearly not doing her job. I advised Lydia that this was not a company she would want to grow with. We left at 2:50pm, after waiting for over 2 hours. If I, in my professional position, had ever treated a potential hire in this manner, I would be put on written warning, if not terminated on the spot.

I had the receipt and book when I went to customer service, but the female informed me that books can only be returned within 24 hours at Wal-Mart. I had no idea of this policy being that the receipt stated nothing as well as there was no sign over by the book dept. A manager came over and stated it could not be returned due to Wal-Mart's policy which was stated nowhere. I asked if a credit or exchange can be done and was told no. I left very dissatisfied with the customer service as to there was no sign anywhere, nowhere did it state this.
The manager stated that they were going to print up a sign and put one up that day because there should have been one but there wasn't. To me, this is false advertisement as to once again there was not in a single spot nor on the receipt stating this, so why should a customer be inconvenienced and shorted $11.99 when there was no sign? There being no sign that should have been there is not the customer's fault but Wal-Mart's problem. If I had known the policy, I would have not purchased the book. I am a very dissatisfied customer at this time. This was just the incorrect way to go about this.

The Wal-Mart in Crosby Texas is by far the worst store I've ever visited. I reside in Crosby, Texas, and have done business with the Wal-Mart here for over 3 years. During these times, I have been dissatisfied 90% of the time. These issues stem from the following:
Floor sales are extremely rude - One example was when I asked two women (who worked there) where a product was located within the store. One of the two didn't even look my way whereas the other said she did not know. That's it! Many, many times when in the checkout lane, the checker will neither greet you nor say have a nice day. The worst times are when the only thing they say is how much I owe. Last week while visiting there, I noticed some interesting products hanging from the roof in the fishing department, but could not find the shelves where they reside. These were tubes that can be pulled/towed by a boat. I inquired about them to a sales lady who happened to walk by. She did not know where to find them, but asked a salesman in the area. He shouted out that he put them in the clearance section. I asked where the clearance section was; he pointed to the front of the building. The sales lady even appeared to be offended by his behavior. I have many, many more examples.
Today, I experienced the same, but this time I took names. I asked Cameron, in the fishing department, where the tubes were; and he said he moved them to the clearance isle, but doubts there were any left. I asked where the clearance isle was and he said in the front of the store. He was the same individual who shouted the week before. Later while walking through isle 13 (11:31am), one worker kicked a box under the shelves rather than picking it up. I thought it was very rude. Then, I started looking closer at housekeeping. This store needs some attention! I am not sure if you are the ones that can make any difference, but the Wal-Mart in Crosby, Texas, needs some serious attention from upper management. It appears to me that most employees are very dissatisfied with their jobs. Most do not want to be bothered by customers and are very rude when approached. I'm very, very angry at this point. The last time I complained was last year. I'll be very interested in hearing back from you on what actions you plan to take.

Papers were all over the floor and counters, and it was painfully obvious that it had not been cleaned for quite some time. It made us physically ill. We left without getting our groceries and will never go back.

I took a Target ad that advertise $19.99 for the DVD + Blu-ray + disc for the movie Lorax, a Disney movie that I wanted to buy for my children. Walmart had it for $24.96. Well since the Walmart here in Pearsall which is a population of about 9,000.00 give or take and Walmart is the only shopping store we have aside from other Dollar Stores in town, I was told by the service cashier that I could not get the price match since this Walmart in Pearsall did not have that policy. I explained to the cashier that that was Walmart's motto. She said she would get the manager.
By then after being in line for about 10 minutes, manager ** showed up and the cashier explained what I wanted. Again, I was told it was not policy for the Pearsall store. I again and with people behind me in line stated that Walmart had false advertisement for not allowing the price change in a small town because they didn't have any local competitors. This is not the first time this has happened to me but I as a paying customer and hold Walmart to their motto. I got the DVD, mind you a DVD for the advertised price for $19.99. I do feel that if this happens to me again, I will just have to call the media on this. I'm sure Walmart would like to see their name in the news even if it isn't good. All it takes is a customer to complain and it’s word of mouth on how you get business.

It is so thick you can't tell if your contact is in because it's blurry for about a minute. So either touch your eye to see if your contact is in or wait for your vision to clear. In the meantime, don't let the water out of the sink just yet! It starts to burn at the end of the day. Either change the formula back or I'll switch back to Boston.

I attempted to call the store manager, **, twice! The first time, the lady said he was not there and I told her I had just been at the store and he was outside on his cell phone. I was put on hold for 20 minutes. I called back, asked to speak with anyone in charge, and was told personnel were not taking calls. I do not want anyone fired, etc. It is just very frustrating with gas prices so high to have to drive back to the store because of an employee error. I have shopped at the store located at 3270 Telegraph Road and never complained before. I always made it a practice if I did not know something to ask another individual to ensure that I was doing something correctly. Maybe Mr. ** needs to train his employees better and be notified of the practice of not putting customers through to him. Even his voicemail would have been greatly appreciated.

My name is Ramsey ** from an organization called Save The Bettas. I'm sickened by my local Walmart's inability to take adequate care of the fish in the pet department. After countless complaints to management, and bringing dead fish to their attention on many occasions, I finally decided to write and complain. Walmart in Palmhurst, TX does not adequately care for their fish. As a matter of fact, they do not feed their fish, change their water or even remove dead fish from the shelf.
My children and I come across dead fish on a weekly basis. Some have disintegrated with only the head and mushy particles at the bottom of the cups these bettas are kept in. These poor animals are swimming in yellow water filled with their own excrement. I have seen it at many other Walmart's as well. I don't know what it will take to get the pet departments up to par but this is animal cruelty and I will not stand for it. I want to know what is going to be done to bring change to the careless pet department and its managers who forget that they carry live pets and must provide care for them.
I have 20 + pictures of the dead fish, disgusting living conditions and plan to alert the local media. I would like to send Walmart headquarters these pictures but am unable to from this website. Something must be done now. These are beautiful living creatures and if you are going to exploit that for profit, you are obligated to make sure your stores are providing adequate care. Walmart is not above the law and make no mistake, this is animal cruelty!

Then again yesterday, we finally got 2 but they were overcooked, really small pieces and have no breast. You used to have the best there was in chicken, I think you need to get some workers in there that want to work and do their jobs because they are really bad. I waited about 45 minutes until someone finally came at about 10:15 pm to tell me the keys are lost and it doesn't matter because they can't sell ammunition after ten anyway. All this was after I asked about four other employees to help me. So, I asked to speak with a manager which, when I finally talked to one, told me to give her a few minutes and walked away. When I finally got a chance to speak to her, it's now 10:30 pm. She told me the employee for sporting goods didn't show up for work and the manager for the department takes home the keys (she thinks, but not sure). If she's the manager, then why doesn't she know where her employees are - and a set of keys, especially the keys to the ammunition cabinet? I liked the new store. It is not so crowded like the other one in Stockton but the customer service was very poor.

Many of my family work for Walmart and I swear I will never work for them. I would rather starve to death. My mother retired at 60 because she simply could not stand the hateful management who were always dissing her and belittling her and blaming her for things she never did. My mother had a heart condition and she was always a happy and cheerful person until she went to work for Walmart. They knew she had diabetes and a heart condition and yet did everything they could to get her to quit. They yelled at her, pushed her around and forced her to do the work of other employees while the other employees were able to sit and chat on their cellphones and get away with it while laughing at my mother because the management made her do their work.
My sister works the night shift and she hates it too. They do everything they can to try to blame her for what other employees do because they are management friends who they bring in to work and these employees are lazy and even have been caught for yelling at customers yet never even receive a coach. For as many times as they have done it, they should have at least one coach. Management has made snide remarks about her weight and she is not fat. In fact, she is thin and she is a recent cancer survivor. But they do not know that about her because she went to work for them after she survived the cancer problem. If she were to tell any of them, then they would likely try to push her out in a way that they do to force you to quit on your own.
My brother works the night shift and so does his wife. He is not hassled so much but she catches hell all the time. She is pregnant with their first child and has lots of family medical issues with the pregnancy. The pregnancy was not planned but the two of them are fighting hard to make things work out for them. She was told by her supervisor that she was not going to get any special privileges just because she is pregnant and that they expect her to lift and move the boxes around just as if she were not pregnant. She comes home and cries every night from that job. She is only sticking it out long enough to have the baby and then she will go find a new job because no one wants to work for an employer who is so uncaring and cruel. I had a college assignment to research a company and found out how Walmart should be able to get better insurance than the Southland Corporation and they are twice as big, but Southland beats Walmart by leaps and bounds on insurance for employees.
In Walmart, part time employees are not allowed insurance and full time are allowed them but the fact is that if you make 40 hours a week and are considered full time, you have to be on a permanent 40-hour a week schedule to get them. If you get 39 hours a week you are not getting benefits. My husband has tried to get me insured on his policy and Walmart told him directly that they do not allow that. I thought to myself, "What?!" That is a crock because my other family has been able to insure family. My husband has now worked for them for about 8 years and he is finally making a decent hourly wage. Odd that several of his supervisors and management have told him he makes too much money now and Walmart will end up firing him for it. One guy even told him that he wanted to get rid of my husband because he did not like him. He made enough money that Walmart could pay 2 people to do his job and because my husband is getting too old to be working anymore for Walmart.
My husband is very upset right now because the manager has coached him twice in 2 days for no real reason other than the manager does not like him and the manager was upset because no one showed up for work so he coached my husband for things not getting done when my husband had just walked into the door for his scheduled shift and I know he was on time because I dropped him off and picked him up. We live by the 15-minute rule. He was only following the orders of his manager to begin with. I have had lots of friends suffer discrimination for age and race with Walmart also, not just family. Managers and supervisors abuse their authority heavily in Walmart and we are covering only 3 stores completely right now.

At around 7:00 pm on Friday, August 3, 2012, I arrived at Wal-Mart in Vestavia Hills to pick up a few items. I was on my way home and in a hurry. The first thing I noticed was at least 20 buggies in the parking area by the handicapped parking slots. I took one inside, selected about $40 worth of groceries, and went to check out. Only two or three cashiers were on duty and their lines were long. All of the self-checkouts were open and had lines. These customers were buying full carts of groceries at the self-check out. Then, I heard a manager page all employees to go on a buggy run in the parking lot. I suppose buggies were more important than paying customers were. Within a minute, all five self-checkout lanes malfunctioned. The manager at the stand near the self-check out was conversing with a customer and was not facing the checkout stands. She seemed unaware of the difficulties customers were having. Then, she disappeared. All five self-checkouts were stopped.
An assistant manager came into the store from the parking lot in the electric cart and took over the stand. She then stood at her stand and repeatedly overrode all the errors my scanner made so that I could get out of there. I avoid Wal-Mart self-checkouts. They always malfunction. Produce is a problem. Beer and wine are a problem. Anything that doesn't weigh enough causes the sensor in the bagging area to malfunction. Adequate staff needs to be on duty at peak periods. This was Friday and payday. I complained to the assistant manager and got a perfunctory and meaningless apology. I regret taking my frustration out on this worker because I know this must be an awful place to work. My friends all tell me to boycott Wal-Mart because of the way employees are underpaid and the fact that taxpayers provide Medicaid to Wal-Mart employees. I wanted to save some money so I didn't drive a few extra miles to Publix. I may have saved a couple of dollars but the anger I feel is not worth the savings.

I called customer service, and was told I caught it in time while it was still processing, and they would cancel the order so that I would not be charged. I thought everything was taken care of. On Monday, 7/30, I realized the orders went through. It was two orders for $49.99 XBox codes. So, I called customer service back. A lady named Rita told me there was nothing they could do because it went through. I talked to a supervisor named Ashley. She was so rude. She told me it was my fault that my account got hacked, and to "deal with my bank". Later I found out many people's accounts got hacked this weekend, and the same things were purchased, so there's no way it could have been my fault.
I don't own an XBox, and don't know anyone who does. I finally tweeted Walmart, and got someone named Shelby to email me, and she told me to file a police report, and to fill out an identity theft form and fax it to Walmart. On 8/1, I got a call from someone at Walmart who didn't leave their name. I called back, was on hold 20 minutes, and then was hung up on. I called back and talked to a woman named Lana. She was disrespectful, rude, arrogant, and she laughed at me when I was telling her what happened. I have never spoken to a more unprofessional, rude and disgusting individual in my life! I ended up hanging up on her. It is now 8/3 and I have been issued no refund by Walmart. I have not heard anything about the forms I faxed or been told if I'll get my money back.
I opened a complaint with the BBB, contacted my bank to dispute the charges, filed a police report and an FBI Internet Fraud Report. I've wasted so much of my time on this, and dealt with the most unprofessional, rude, and just plain horrible people I've ever dealt with at Walmart. Even if they give me my money back, I will never shop there again. They've proven they don't care about their customer's security at all, and the fact that they can laugh in your face when they've allowed money to be stolen from you is sickening. I have had in the past family members who have worked at this store. I know for a fact that this store has not had a "mule" cart machine to pull carts since right before Christmas. Not only did they have only one at that time, they should have at least 2. For a company who used to pride themselves on employee satisfaction, this store demonstrates extreme low morale. I have seen these poor workers outside in 100 plus degree temps, and in the winter work in the teens, all without proper equipment. The saddest part of this is that the store manager started at this very spot. He has an employee that has been there for almost 2 years that has many inside skills that continues to be promised to be brought inside. This person is 52 years of age and has never been late or absent during his employment. He will not do anything that might make someone angry with him, so he never complains and pushes himself to a danger point in health. There are many other things that should be considered as poor or lack of good management.
I am writing this because I was a territorial manager for over 10 years with a well known company and am stunned at the lack of professional conduct in this store. Therefore, I picked up a bottle to try to see if it is something I would enjoy. When I got to the counter, the price was $7.67. I explained to the cashier that it was the incorrect price and that it was 98 cents. She said no, it cannot be and called over a young man (I will get his name tomorrow) with a pricing gun and said "No, that is not the price. The price is $7.67" as he rolled his eyes to the cashier. I explained to him that I would take him to the item myself and show him. He said okay. As we are walking, he stopped to speak to another co-worker. Her response was, "No, it can't be. She is wrong." The young man agreed, so therefore I asked, "Are you coming so I can show you where it is?"
He followed me and the other co-worker. He explained that it was put in the wrong place (two boxes now in the wrong place and the price was 92 cents instead). At that time, the manager came and the two employees were trying to tell me that I need to read the label. I explained that the product is there, price in front. I am 50 and do not need to put my glasses on to read a product for price. Do not insult my intelligence. They just made me feel like crap and kept insulting me about looking at the tag (I wear reading glasses at work, 1.25). I do not need to have them with me when I am shopping. The manager calmed me down, I know he realized that they were insulting me.
The manager informed me that I can have that bottle for 92 cents, just one and I explained to him that I only wanted one to try it - that is the reason I got just one for the price and the interest. I do not wish to go into Walmart and be insulted or looked at me like I am crazy with them shaking their head. That is absolutely wrong. All they needed to do is look at the pricing and where the item was. It is not up to me to look at the tag to make sure it matches the item. It is Walmart's responsibility. My nerves are still in disarray and had the store an afternoon of working over this situation. I can still see the young man and the lady rolling eyes and making me feel like I am stupid. Remember that I was next in line. The cashier said, "I can't do anything without the key turn." As the line grew longer, of course more people left. And all the while right in front of me on the wall, it said "Customer satisfaction is our goal." What a joke. The first time that she called for one, there were two cashiers working, customer service and (with only two people left in line) one left hurriedly saying something about if she didn't take her lunch by a certain time, then the clock would not let her take a break? There was about $22 left to pay in cash and my mother used her debit card. Sue decided to swipe it and kept saying it was a gift card. As we kept telling her over and over that the card she was holding was a debit card. It was as if she completely ignored us. So there were two more employees called to the situation and eventually the problem was addressed. I'm complaining because Sue clearly shouldn't be working at a station she doesn't understand. I am a former Wal-Mart customer as of 7/27/2012. I would like to take this opportunity to explain why. I price match every week and have been doing so ever since Wal-Mart started. I had been shopping at Darrell Grimes (store manager) store in Avon, Indiana. I have shopped here since 2009. I had never had a problem until about 10 months ago. When the store did away with having to bring in other store ads, in order to match, I was thrilled. I am a disabled person and the least I have to carry the better. I walk with crutches. Last year, a young cashier doubted my price match and refused to sell me the merchandise at the sale price. I asked for a manager, the CSM by the name of Stephanie came over, said, "Let me look it up in the ad. I didn't find it." and she said, "Sorry, we can't give it to you for that price." I said, "But the meat (chicken) is 99 cents a lb. at Kroger." She couldn't find the ad; therefore, I did not receive the meat. I spent about $150 to $200 a week at this store.
I felt that the CSM was singling me out. I bought my other food, asked to see the store manager and I was informed he was not in the store. I sent the home office a note. A rude lady returned my call, and she said, "Sorry, I will send you a gift card next week." I told her I would not be returning to the store anytime soon and I went back the next day and showed the CSM the ad. She said, "Well, if you want to buy it now, you can." I was furious! Nowhere on Wal-Mart website does it say to humiliate a lady on crutches because they think she is lying. It says. "We will match any local ad, even if you do not have the ad with you." In other words, trust the customer and move the line ahead. Do not embarrass a customer (who by the way was right) by saying loudly, "I cannot find the ad." When I asked for the manager the next day, once again he was not in. I did not shop at Wal-Mart for 6 months, which means I took my $4,800 to Kroger.
I went back in May with my little $30 gift card and bought a few things and had no problem. This week, I decided to do price matching again. I had my papers in the car, but since I didn't need them, I left it there. I put the stickers on the price matches, stated what the price was in the store, very simple very easy. I had chicken and hamburger that was on sale. Value market hamburger was $2.29 (beef chuck) a lb. Wal-Mart's were $3.17. She did not do the hamburger right. I had 2.5 lbs. = $5.72. I was charged $6.60. She turned and asked the CSM if there was an easier way to figure out the meat, and guess who the CSM was? Stephanie. She told the cashier, "Melissa, no, just guess as close as possible." I didn't say a word, as I refuse to fight over a dollar. Then my chicken came up. I had 1.5 lbs. At Kroger, it was $1.87 a lb. At Wal-Mart store, it was $3.50 a lb. The cashier turned to Stephanie and said, "She say (meaning me, the customer) this is on sale for $1.87 a lb. Can you look it up? Stephanie goes and gets a Kroger ad and says it is not in there. I said, "Yes, it is." She told the cashier that if she could find it, take it off; if not, well don't. I did not get my chicken and once again in front of many people, they pretty much called me a liar and I was humiliated to tears. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

So, when I left Walmart in Main St., Whitehall, I checked my account online. I found that she charged me twice for the amount of $357.00. So the total was $714.00 and I ended up with no money left in my account. The manager said that they will put the money back to my account on July 23, but still nothing has happened. I need that money really bad, so up to now I can't wait any longer. I’m gonna bring this problem to the media to help me fix it because you guys gave me a hard time for my own money.

While being checked out, I bought $226.00 in groceries, etc., the cashier carried on a conversation with her mother almost the entire time while checking me out. Then after giving me my total, added several items from the customer behind me. She did give me credit for the items, but the mistake would never have been made had she been paying attention to her job! That is not the first time that has happened as far as the conversation with someone else goes, at times, with another employee. When the mother told her she was leaving, I said "She needed to" under my breath and the cashier heard me. By that time, I was ready to leave all I had put in my cart and walk out. The mother had been sitting on a bench close by, but had walked over to talk before she started to leave. The cashier was very rude and smart-mouthed. After I said what I did, I replied whatever and said where is the manager. I found the manager before I exited the store and was told it would be taken care of. Employees should care enough about their jobs, not to take chances on losing it. Obviously, she was not worried about getting fired or she never would have acted like that!

Upon leaving the store, he was attempting to take the cart all the way to the van with the groceries in it. He was stopped by one of the greeters and told he could not take the cart beyond the sidewalk in front of the store. We tried explaining that he could not bear weight. It didn't matter. He was asked to get out of the cart and walk to the parking lot. We were so **. So after that, until he was again able to bear weight, he would have to sit in the van until he could walk again. Today, July 25th, I was at the Walmart on the corner of Beach and Hodges in Jacksonville, Florida. I had spent over two hours shopping for a party and when I arrived at the checkout, there were all of two cashiers on, the rest were the checkout line and were 10 to 12 people deep. I asked the cashier to call a manager. He told me he was too busy checking customers out to stop and call a manager for more cashiers. I rolled my cart up to customer service and spoke to someone who claimed to be a manager, who never looked up from his task and just told me more cashiers would be on in just a few minutes, and to be patient.
Well, I'd already spent 20 minutes in line, so I got back in the same line with some lady with WIC coupons and getting like 15 gallons of milk and whatever WIC allows. Each coupon has to be processed manually, so the cashier sensed my frustration and again, said more people were coming in in just a minute. Again, telling me in a not so nice tone to be patient. That was the straw! I got out of the line, rolled my full cart up to the customer service desk, looked at the manager and said "I'm sorry, there's no help and you seem not to really care whether there is or not. I am sorry to do this to you, but I cannot wait any longer. I am going to Target." I left probably $150 worth of food in the cart in the middle of customer service and walked out, went to Target, got what I needed in less than 30 minutes and was on my way.
After reading these reviews, it appears that customer service is lacking in all Walmart stores. Well, my answer to that is do not depend on the computer to do your staffing! I have been told that all the staffing is automated and depending on how much "foot traffic" the store gets on certain days drives the number of cashiers they put on. Well you know what Walmart, you'll be the next huge company in receivership if this continues. You just not only lost my order of about $150, but I also cancelled the deli tray and the cake I had that totaled about $75. If this continues and Walmart has this kind of continued losing streak, there will be some Walmart closures, so that was probably instituted to be cost effective with letting the computer do the staffing will ultimately be the undoing of Walmart.
I will say in deference to the employees with the exception of this uncaring manager. All of the cashiers are as pleasant as they can possibly be, I've never had an unpleasant experience with the cashiers. Bless their hearts, they work hard and it's not their fault if they work for a bunch of corporate idiots who depend on a computer to perform a human function. So Walmart and its billions are losing customers because of poor customer service. Sure, Target is not as cheap as Walmart, but I'd rather pay that extra few pennies to be able to check out in a timely manner and have fully stocked shelves.

On 07/24/12 at 6.:30 pm, there are 4 checkouts, "20 items or less", open with 12-15 people in each line and only one, yes, only one checkout open if you have over 20 items. This is amazing to me. I know Walmart has money to hire people. I know they have 30 plus check stands in their stores but they are never open. I know I'm not the only one who this has happened to. I remember a few years ago at Christmas, "all check outs open." I think it's pretty sad that the Florida unemployment rate is sky high and Walmart in Ft. Myers has no employees. Amazing!

I watched the video on the cruelty of pigs at the farms where Wal-Mart buys its pork. I will buy most of my groceries at United Supermarkets or Homeland. I probably will shop and buy some items at Wal-Mart, but I promise it will not be meat products until Wal-Mart takes a stand against factory farms that use gestation crates and beat sick and injured pigs to death by banging their heads against the cement. Also, I couldn't believe the open wounds that most of the pigs had and how horrible they treated the baby pigs. There were dead baby pigs laying everywhere. How dare you expect me to feed my family on food that is unsafe. They weren't healthy. The poor sows were in these horribly small crates all their life, and they would bang their heads over and over again in frustration.
I will not eat meat that comes from these conditions. And I hope the president of this fine company watched this video and finds it as disturbing as I did. Oh, by the way, they give you a good close up after they beat these poor baby pigs to death on the cement. It shows them jerking and still alive barely. They beat them to death, because they were sickly. Whose fault was that? You can see blood all over the floor, and the place was filthy. And there are open sores that you can see has been there for a while. You can't tell me that Wal-Mart can't find a more humane producer to buy from? How inhumane this company is!

The material was fitting and soft and has exceptional good quality that no other competition store could offer. But now, even so the label is still the same, the wool material used is much thinner and does not stay fit as the previous material did. I have bought some of the new material used, but I still wear the old underwear, as after several years of wearing, they still stay much better fit than the new underwear does.
Also, in years past, I used to buy children's T-shirts or similar items to bring back to Switzerland as gifts. For the last 2 years, I could not find anything in your stores, as all have crazy-looking creatures or some other idiotic things printed on them.
Most parents in Europe don't let their children walk around with that insanity stuff. I bought once a shirt with Animal Emergency Patrol and with a moose caring a bear with a foot in a cast. There was only one person to monitor/work in that half of the store. When I got to the register to check out, I had another 25 minute wait (only two registers in service). It would have been longer if the clerk in the return section had not taken some of the people waiting through that register. When I asked one of the clerks how many people were in the store, the clerk said 7 or 8. I walked through the store and had trouble finding any Walmart employees. The ones I did find were all working with other customers and came to help me as soon as they could. I shop at Walmart in Benton all the time and find the employees always helpful. I frequently shop at the Walmart on Carolina Beach Road because it is convenient and near where I live. The customer service is average, at best, but the store contains many of the items I need on a weekly basis. Recently (7/13/12), I purchased a Revlon Color Silk hair dye in 04 Ultra Light (blonde). Several days later, while at home, I opened the box and began using the product on my hair. After applying the cream to the front part of my hair, I noticed it began to change to a pinkish color, not at all the blonde color that the box advertised. I immediately stopped and rinsed out the product hoping there was not much permanent damage.
Upon further inspection, I found that the exterior of the box stated it was a blonde dye, while the product on the inside was from an entirely different company and was an auburn/red color; hence, the pink tone that began to emerge on my blonde hair. I'm assuming someone must have swapped the dye with another box of color and somehow managed to place it back on the shelf without a sales associate noticing. When returning the product on 7/20/12, at approximately 2:30 pm to the same Walmart, I had tears in my eyes while asking the cash register attendant for some type of compensation or help with this issue. The attendant made several snide remarks as if I was the one guilty of swapping out the product, before finally calling her manager over to assist me.
Another young sales associate also stopped by to listen in (or gawk as it felt like) and reported, "I would do that to my hair on purpose," as if I were crazy for being a 49-year-old woman who does not wish to have pink streaks in the front part of my hair. The most frustrating part of this encounter was that the manager stated there wasn't anything she could do and appeared to have zero regard for my situation or current emotional state. After much back and forth, I was able to convince the manager to return the rest of the original dye and have it replaced with an actual blonde dye from the same company because she refused to compensate me financially for the error. Overall, the trip to Walmart was incredibly humiliating and frustrating. And because of how rudely I was treated in front of the staff and other customers, I left the store feeling worse than when I entered.
A professional hair dye is expensive and I currently do not have the funds to attempt to have my hair professionally "fixed." After attempting to apply the actual Revlon blonde dye myself for a second time around, my hair is no longer pink but it is still very orange. It looks ridiculous and nothing like what I would ever want to do to myself. I feel that I deserve to be compensated for this error and the way I was treated by the Walmart personnel. If anything, a financial compensation should be given so I can afford to have my hair redone properly at a salon.

Once again, I had trouble with Walmart today. I had a rain check and when I went looking for this item, I couldn't find what the rain check had written on it, but finally found it. While looking at the item, I couldn't find the right price amount (on the rain check, it said the item was regular priced at $2.28-$2.38, which is not true). The item that the rain check is for, is $2.74 regular price. So the staff person who wrote the rain check was wrong, so I got fallen for the mistake and had to get the items that were on sale and close to the $2.28, which I don't feel is right when Walmart is supposed to be all about the customers and great customer service. Not sure if it is because we are a small town that they can be very rude to the customers and not even try to come to some agreement with the customer, especially when it was their staff member who made the mistake and it's a billion dollar company.
This is about the 8th time in the last year that I wasn't satisfied with the results. And just to note, I run two businesses and spend approximately $20,000.00-$35,000.00 a year. On top of that, I personally spend approximately $6,000.00-$12,000.00 a year at Walmart. Well, I can't deal with the issues that resulted from using Walmart as a main provider. No longer will I shop there. I'd rather pay the extra dollar or cents on products and receive good customer service and be satisfied if a problem does arise.

On 7/14/12, I notified them on the phone through the toll free number and I explained the situation. In reviewing the receipt, I did not see where I was charged for the 1 year replacement plan although I agreed to purchase it and I was even provided with the small replacement brochure and card by the clerk. They suggested that I return to the local store and share the information with them to see what could be done. At the local store, I shared the information with a customer service rep. She contacted a CSM, who then contacted the manager for the shift (PM). After they were provided with the information, I was informed that the clerk must have not charged me for the plan, and there was nothing they could do about it.
They kept the replacement card, and brochure, telling me that it was no good. Prior to going to the store, I copied the receipt, the back of the card and the front of the brochure in the event they did not return it to me. I offered to pay the $6.00 that day, so I could replace my weed-eater, as it had a broken gas bulb, or cracker, in where it wouldn't start. I was told that was not an option. I am not satisfied with the response, as I spend well over $1000.00 monthly at our local Walmart. I feel that due to their mistake, it results in issues for me. I do not double check my tickets when leaving, as I feel that the clerks should be responsible enough when asking customers if they are interested in replacement warranties, and when customers are, that they would charge them prior to handing and explaining to them the information, sharing that within the next year, if you have any problems, you can call the number, or go online. It's a good deal for only $6.00. I agreed just to find out when I needed it, that I did not have it at all. I recognize that we all can make mistakes, but when customer service and management indicate there is nothing they can do, then I do not feel they are supportive of what they advertise.

After asking what the birthstone was for September, I found out later that day that she had told me the wrong birthstone. So after calling the store and having no answer, I went back to the store. When I did get help, they could not find the original slip that had been filled out earlier in the day as the clerk just wanted to write a note. This is not acceptable because she also told me that the store would not call me but I had to go back again If I wanted to make sure the problem was corrected.
After telling another manager over again, we finally filled out another form with the correct birthstone and another hour had gone by. I left again. The point I’m trying to make is why do Walmart have these false sites on winning? Just send the card; winning is winning. It’s not fair for Walmart to play such dirty tricks like that they make millions and for them to put a stunt like that it’s just totally despicable. I wish they stop this nonsense.

She put a 2 liter and 2 Ortega taco sauce (16 oz) in a plastic bag. When I was taking it into my house, the bag broke because it was too heavy and she didn't double bag it. One of the taco sauces broke and with the economy, I count every cent. I'm making tacos tonight and I can't afford to go get another one that I really needed to. When I called customer service, she said that she will tell that someone didn't offer for me to come down there and they would give me another one. The bags are too flimsy and it should have been doubled bagged. I'm going to start getting my groceries again at Shop 'n Save. I would never have this problem and if I did, they would have told me to come back and they would have given me another one. I can't believe how you guys do business anymore.
I have had trouble before with your cashier when I buy puppy pads (100 pads) and each time, I have to tell them to bag them. I know you tell them not to bag them unless they ask, which I think is so freaking wrong on your part to save money and not worry about customer satisfactions. There are other stores besides you that I can go to, like Big K (mart). They might be a little bit higher but I never had any problems like this with them. Target too, so I used to go to your stores at least once a week but I think I had enough. I really liked your stores but you guys try to save money on bags that break and when it is food and you don't say, "Come on back, we will give you another one. We are sorry about that and it won't happen again." What happened to your business that you don't give a thought about your customers anymore? I had $66.00 to buy groceries and I spent $60.26 on groceries there - and when I get home, this happens.
I only have $6.00 left until payday which is 13 days away. Man, you guys are such bad business people. I just got off unemployment and started a new job. You know that you miss a check in between the new job and unemployment and it is going to be hard on you for the first month. I'm trying to budget my money here. I know you are thinking it is only a couple of bucks but man, that is not the point. Times are real hard now with the economy. It just makes me so mad that your store didn't offer me another one. But you should have taught them to double bag the groceries when they think they are going to be to heavy and maybe this won't happen as much. You think! Man, I have spent so many thousands of dollars at your stores through the years and I get treated like, "Okay, I'll just tell the manager about it." This was at your store in Godfrey, Illinois!

After being transferred from the operator to whoever handles the ship-to-store area, the phone rang and when it was picked up. I got a "Yeah!?" I said hello and another "Yeah!?" I was like, "Is this Wal-Mart?" Very rude! Are you kidding me? Worst customer service ever. Needless to say, the rest of the call went in a similar way. Wal-Mart has always had horrible customer service but this takes the cake. Fire those who turn customers away with rude service (Ha! What service?) and hire courteous people who want to work! I have shopped Wal-Mart in Grand Prairie off and on for years. On several occasions, I have purchased a gallon milk from this store; 85% of the time that I have purchased milk, it goes bad before the best by date. I feel certain I have returned the milk with no problem before this week (although I don't have proof). On Tuesday, July 10th, I tried to return some spoiled milk and some spoiled orange juice. Both of these were Wal-Mart brand products. Both of them went bad before the best by date, but I had already used half of the milk and 3/4 of the orange juice. The orange juice was supposed to be good until the 21st and yet it was spoiled! I had purchased two gallons of the orange juice (at the same time) and still had one gallon unopened. So, I opened the second one, which is supposed to be good until the 21st, and now the second gallon is bad already!
Anyway, I took the milk and the one orange juice to exchange the milk and get my money back on the orange juice. However, the returns department was adamant about not letting me do either. My complaint is that I bought these products in good faith, that they would be good as the date suggested. It was not my fault they went bad. They were in the refrigerator (at my house) as they should be except of course when we took it out to pour some to drink! And now the second gallon of orange juice is also bad?! I am not as fortunate as the Wal-Mart company (which is making how many billions of dollars a day) where I can afford to throw my money away on products I purchase. I have to watch every dollar I spend. That's why I purchased two gallons of orange juice in the first place. I used the price matching service to get them! So the returns people kept saying, "We cannot give everyone the money back when things spoil" and "you purchased it at the end of June" (because I had my receipt).
Yes, I did purchase them and when I purchased them, they were supposed to be good and not spoil. How do I know about other people and if people are having issues with spoiled milk or orange juice? All I know is the products spoiled on us and I wanted to get my money back and/or new milk. I don't buy products with the idea of not using them, nor do I purchase them hoping they go bad before I use them. I buy them to eat/drink/use because I want whatever it is I bought! As a faithful customer, I was not satisfied with the way my individual situation was handled and as of right now, I do not plan on shopping at Wal-Mart and especially not the one in Grand Prairie again for a very long time... if at all.
I have never had so much problem as I have over the last two months, maybe three, regarding items to return. And the overall rudeness and just the attitude in general of many of the employees at this store is ridiculous. I have stopped shopping at Wal-Mart on several different occasions before now but somehow I started again and try for a second, third, fourth time. I know about the grocery business because I worked as a cashier and customer service manager for 8 years. When people brought back spoiled products, we let them exchange it or refunded their money. Not everyone goes to the trouble of returning the spoiled products like I do. Not everyone cares or is as concerned about their money as I am, I'd say. But again, I'm not everyone either. I'm an individual and should be considered as such!
Funny, I recently bought a watermelon and it was no good and I was able to return it? What's the difference in the milk and orange juice? I think it is ridiculous how inconsistent the policies are at this store, how things are always changing depending on who is there at the time. I should have complained to the manager. The aggravation and frustrations keep re-surfacing concerning this store and if I'm unhappy about these issues and writing to you. Multiply this complaint by how many more customers who are dissatisfied! In fact, I know of a friend who has issues every time she goes to Wal-Mart. She is Korean and it's like they have it out for her because of her race. I have witnessed it.

It’s very difficult to get anyone to help at the hardware department in the back of the Westchester store #5854. Finally, Alberto came and asked what I needed. I showed him the one hardware item I had and asked if he could ring my item up. Reluctantly, he did. Then the price came up more than the item that was on the shelf. I brought this to his attention. I volunteered to walk the 20 feet to the area and he stated, "This was not my area and I could not do anything because all the others are in the produce section." I am not sure what that meant. I didn't necessarily care, but I paid more than the item that was on the shelf. So I then took out my iPhone and snapped a picture of the item on the shelf with the lower price and walked to the customer service area, stood again in line and was refunded the difference when I explained the situation.
Is this really indicative of your store policy or that of Walmart, Inc.? Should it really take the consumer that much effort to pay the listed price of an item clearly marked on the shelf? Did Alberto really feel a need to tell me that he could not walk over to the same area where the hardware item was and then back the 20 feet to the hardware register? I don't think in this day and age consumers are really willing to continue to shop at stores that do business like this! Thanks for any and all thoughts.

I recently moved to Woodburn, Oregon and I had concerns about the location since there is a Super Walmart down the street. Well, I was right. Coming home in the afternoon or worse, at night, you have to dodge the abandoned carts in the street. And when you get home, some loser has left the cart on the sidewalk or in my yard. Last night, I counted 7 on our short block. Yes, people should take them but Walmart has a responsibility to keep them on site or have them picked up more frequently. I think someone does but not soon or frequently enough.
Last night I watched unsupervised children pushing others down the street and almost tipped over! We ran outside and stopped them from hurting themselves! Can you say Walmart lawsuit!? Maybe that will get their attention. I know, I know - where were the parents? Well, it's the parents "stealing the carts" from Walmart hourly. This issue needs to be resolved or I will start advertising on Craigslist scrap metal available in Woodburn by Walmart, Super stores suck in residential neighborhoods and Walmart wonders why so many people fight to keep them out of our areas.

The self-check register froze in the middle of the purchase. I was asked to take my items to another register, which I did. At the new register, I presented the food stamp card to the cashier. She scanned it, and it was denied. It seemed I did not have enough food stamps to pay for my purchase. Now, here's the thing. I called to verify that my food stamps had been deposited before I left home. On 1/10/12 there were $91.00 deposited. The CSM told me there was nothing she could do for 24 hours, as it takes that long for the food stamps to be re-deposited onto the card. I waited and returned this morning, 7/12/12, as the food stamps had never returned.
A different CSM told me they had no record of the transaction going through and that they would not return my food stamps, nor the grocery items. Upon calling my card, I can check the last 10 transactions and it says they were deposited, and shows only one Point of Sale Purchase since then, at Walmart on 7/10/12. As this is my food for the month and I am handicapped and unable to get around without great difficulties, I do not know what I should do.

The shelves are a disaster and most of the time half-empty and unorganized. There are about 14 check-out registers, and you are lucky if 4 are open. I think the employees try to help; but they do not, because they are so short-handed and do not have time. I have been to other Wal-Marts and have never had this experience. After those two terrible experiences and Wal-Mart refusing to do anything about their warranty, I asked for my money back with another laptop and my tablet, but that is all they would do. They will not give me any more money back on the other warranties I purchased from them because it was over 30 days.
Ironically, the big screen was the most expensive warranty. Of course, I will never again purchase any electronics from them and tell everyone I can to never purchase a Wal-Mart warranty since they are not worth the paper they are written on. So this lady had already bagged and rang up all of my stuff except for the beer. She goes to ring it up and then throws her hands in the air and says she can't ring the beer up because of the kid's foot that had touched the box.
I asked her to please ring the beer up so we could leave and she couldn't because it was the law. She couldn't sell it to me even if I took the kids to the car. There was an air conditioner on sale at my local Walmart in Linden, NJ for $98.96. Of course, when I went to buy, they were sold out and no one had an idea when they will receive more. I had to place my order online as there was a heatwave coming and I am pregnant. I ordered an air conditioner at Walmart.com. I placed the order early July 2nd, knowing it would take a couple of extra days for delivery for the holiday. I received an email that day from Walmart.com that the air conditioner was shipped - not will be shipped or in the shipping process, but shipped. I, of course, tracked the package with FedEx and they only had that a pickup was initiated, but the item was not picked up. It was just the first day so it wasn't an issue.
I checked the second day, same message. The 4th was a holiday, so I assumed the systems weren't updated, but it still displayed the same message. I was supposed to receive the air conditioner on the 5th of July. I checked the tracking on the 5th and same message. I called FedEx to see if there was a system error or anything and was told that they went to pick up my item on the 2nd and Walmart never released it! I called Walmart.com to inquire about my package that they sent me a shipped email and was told "shipped" doesn't mean shipped. I said, "What does ‘shipped’ mean if not shipped?" No explanation. I was placed on hold several times and at this point, just wanted to know if it will be shipped today. I was told that they will send a message to see, but I have to wait two days to hear a response. Another two days waiting for my air conditioner to be shipped.
I told the customer service rep that I wanted to cancel my order. I was placed on hold again and when she returned, told me that I can't because it is in the shipping process. I said, "An item that was supposed to be shipped on the 2nd that hasn't been shipped yet and is still in the warehouse because of an erroneous email sent from Walmart.com and not allowing FedEx to pick it up when they came for it can't be canceled and I have to wait for it and send it back. That doesn't seem fair at all to me since the error wasn't made at all on my end and I am sure that they retrieved payment for the item." I was told, "I'm sorry, but we can't cancel because it is in the shipping process," again.
I ended up buying a more expensive air conditioner to beat the 100 degree heat today. This is in no way effective customer service. Since the error was from Walmart, they should have given me the option to cancel my order or continue the process. They should have been more diligent on making sure it was sent out that day than making me wait two more days just for an answer. I have never been as disappointed in a service that's supposed to be easier for the customer than Walmart.com. Someone needs to sit down, have another look at the policies and understand the concept of helping the customer, especially when the issue is from their end.

Today (July 1, 2012), we took the same necklace to two different jewelry stores and were informed that the necklace is fake! The only real gold in the necklace is the 10K stamped clasp! The rest of the necklace can be picked up by a magnet. I am in total shock! This necklace has been on his neck since the day I gave it to him. It has never been taken to any jewelry store or repair shop and it is totally impossible that it has been switched by someone else (we live alone and do not have guests). But the fact remains the same; he has never taken it off since the day I gave it to him. I will do whatever I can to make sure that the world knows what type of quality jewelry or should I say down right fake and fraudulent gold that Walmart is selling to its customers.
I truly cannot believe this happened to me. I am beside myself thinking about the betrayal I have endured from this store. Is Walmart so broke that they need to steal their customers’ money?

I was totally turned down today for this that you show on TV on price match or buy one get one free! I also was standing there and in other lines, I've seen a total of 9 other families turned down also. Most people said screw it and left entire carts they've loaded with food. I guess this is the way you do business! I guess from now on, we will go back to Winn Dixie and or Publix to buy your food and may start shopping at other places for clothes. The average person shops there to save money and now will have to spend more shopping at Wal-Mart. So what happened overnight? You get a new district manger or store manager trying to throw his or her weight around. What a ** poor way of doing business. I doubt I will ever shop at that Wal-Mart again and maybe never again at any Wal-Mart after finding that there is not much of a discount!

I'm not sure this is the correct place for this complaint but I don't know where else to go. The Princeton, KY Walmart Supercenter has the absolute poorest selection and inventory I have ever seen at a Walmart! It just moved and changed to a supercenter a few years ago and the old "smaller store" had at least twice the selection and inventory of the new store. It is June in KY, the very beginning of summer, and they have already stopped keeping most summer items. This is just the complaint for today's visit, but for every visit, there is a complaint about selection and inventory. It is not just me. Every single person I have talked to has the same complaint - even the employees!
The Dollar General Store has more selection on many items, and that is very sad compared to a "supercenter." The problem has led me to start going elsewhere for what I can and has had the same effect on everyone I know. I hope whoever reads this takes it seriously and addresses the situation, not only for my sake, but for the sake of business. I'm certain they are losing hundreds of thousands of dollars of revenue yearly due to this problem. Thank you for your time.

I just want to complain about Wal-Mart’s putting water in their ground meat. They can deny it if they want to, but they sell their meat in 20-ounce packages now instead of by the pound. And I know when I get this meat home and start to cook it, I have a huge amount of water cooking out. This is the expensive 93% and 96% ground beef and ground turkey. And by the time I get it cooked, I weigh it on my scale and I will have between 10 and 11 ounces of cooked beef. Now, this is almost fat-free meat, so there shouldn't be much cooking out of it. And as if that isn't enough, they charge huge prices for this stuff. Well, I have bought my last meat at this store. I will buy at one of the grocery stores from now on because they don't put all of the water in there. Wal-Mart just keeps on ripping people off and no one seems to be able to do anything about it. I am so angry and dissatisfied with them.

I used to go to your old store at least 10 to 15 times a week and never left pissed off. But this new place on US Highway 19 is nothing more than a large convenience store; everything is backwards as related to other superstores - the layout really sucks, and the absence of both a deli and bakery causes me to still shop in Inverness (a round trip of more than 30 miles). I live only 1 mile away. This place has too few checkers and slow check machines. And when a checker makes an error, it takes a long time before someone to come and clear it while my ice cream milk and other perishables melt or get warm. I now shop your store only when it is an emergency; otherwise, I try to avoid going there, choosing rather to go up into town, where I can shop faster with less headache. Whoever came up with your new store design should be fired. The place is a mess.

I was at Wal-Mart in Berlin, MD. I had not been there in a long time and noticed that they are selling fabric. I love to sew, and it is so hard to find fabrics in our local Wal-Mart. This just made my day. I began to shop around for some things that I could use, and as I was shopping, a couple of the employees started complaining about whatever it was that they had to do with the stock. It seemed like they were checking off the bolts of fabric on the shelves. One in particular was just screaming out real loud about her "situation." I felt so bad and out of place.
I proceeded to look around for some bolts of material and had them in my cart. The more she screamed and complained, the worse I felt about shopping. At one point, she said, "Someone just shoot me." This was a very inappropriate action for any employee, it seems to me. I went and put my purchases back on the shelves because at this point, I really did not feel like I should bother her to cut my fabrics. I was very disappointed that I was not able to get my material today from the Berlin MD Wal-Mart.

I am a 46-year old professional woman. I was at the Wal-mart Neighborhood Market tonight (corner of Indian School and Litchfield in Goodyear, AZ) with my 20-year old son purchasing about $100 in groceries. The cashier, **, asked my son for his ID. I told her that I am the customer and she insisted that children of customers must also be 21 years old to purchase a 12-pack of Heineken beer with groceries. There was a customer in the next aisle about 30 years old with about a 4-year old child. I asked her if she would deny him purchase of beer and she said that she would use her "common sense" and know that he would not give his small daughter alcohol (implying that I would). I asked her what the difference was and she didn't have a good explanation.
I asked her for the store manager and she directed me to the customer service manager, **, who backed her up. I left without purchasing any groceries. I was so hot about this issue that I went home and called the store to get the names of everyone involved. I was then told that who the cashier told me was the store manager was actually not. I returned to the store and confronted her with the store manager and another cashier that the actual store manager, **, pulled in to be a "witness" (**). The cashier had the same flippant bad attitude with me as she did when I tried to buy groceries. I am absolutely disgusted with Wal-mart and will never shop there again.
The most embarrassing thing about it all is that in front of other customers, she was implying that I was purchasing alcohol for my under-age son. I am a doctor of Psychology, a specialist in Neuropsychology. I would never stoop so low to purchase alcohol for my underage son. The entire event was absolutely ridiculous!

I have purchased Hillshire Farms lunch meat in the Rubbermaid type container which was spoiled. I have purchased ground round that had a good date on it but the meat was spoiled. I find that when I return the items, the staff in customer service always refunds your money without any hassle. What is disturbing is their lack of concern when you tell them about spoiled food. Their attitude gives the impression that they have spoiled food returned regularly and it is no big deal. I believe there is a significant problem with the handling of food by the Wal-Mart employees. So, since I did not have the receipt, I was asking for it to be put on a gift card. In that way I could buy something for my wife and I to remember 20 years of marriage; however, I was told that Wal-Mart would have to see if a comforter had been sold recently. If not, they would not be able to return it. Needless to say, it was not returned. I have been to 5 different Wal-Mart stores, only to be told reasons - from it was over $50.00 or that I could exchange it for another one that they don’t sell at all or that I can take it back to the original store.
My daughter lives outside of Arizona, but could not put it on a gift card. I have read over the return policy and nowhere have I found any of those reasons on the return policy. So, here I sit with a comforter that does not fit my bed and I'm being told, “Oh, well.” It does not sound like very good management or customer service. I have never been in this Wal-Mart and gone to the bathroom and found it clean, never. There was a telephone to report this so they could get a #10. What a joke. The phone just rings and rings, no one answers. There's no place to leave a message. This is how this store must get a #10. They simply have no way for people to complain about the filth.
I will only go to Wal-Mart to buy products I can buy nowhere else; this is one of the reasons why. I ordered a bunk bed with a futon mattress set that came with a twin too. And I ended up finding another one I liked better which was wood and the one I ordered was metal. I received each item all separately and I returned the bunk bed frame and futon mattress at the Walmart on Norman Dr. in Valdosta, GA and they gave me cash for the return. Well, today, 6/22/12, I received the twin mattress and I was on the opposite side of town. I went to the one on Interperimeter Rd., same city and they told me, which is understandable, they had to put it back on my card. And that's how I purchased these items.
But why would one store give me cash and the other state they can only put it back on my card? Me, personally, with the two being the same business need to have the same policies, don't you think? I wasn't asked if I wanted cash. She just gave it to me, and I assumed I was getting reimbursed with cash for the twin mattress too. I didn't get her name but she was very rude. When I asked to speak to a manager, she said, "I am one," and I asked for someone with higher authority. She was a complete smart ** over the intercom!
Also, the frame and futon mattress was free to deliver and the twin mattress was free to pick up at the store but they wanted me to go to Cordeal, Tifton, Albany, Cairo or Adel to pick it up so I just paid the 19 dollars and some change to have it delivered to my house because by the time I would drive to those cities, I would have used way more gas than just paying the 20 bucks. This was really when the lady started being rude, saying she wasn't able to give me back my shipping fee and I explained how it wouldn't let me choose Valdosta, GA to be sent to a local store. I mean, really?
If I had the choice, I would have picked my local Walmart. All in all, if you're going to be affiliated by the same company, all managers knew to have their employees being on the same page. Who is to say the rude lady could've been right but I was expecting cash the same way I received the other 2 returns I made previously the day before. And Walmart is supposed to be known for great customer service and tonight, Walmart on Interperimeter Rd, Valdosta, GA put a bad taste in my mouth and I will never shop there again. I felt as a loyal customer, I was mistreated and disrespected! I think all surrounding Walmart managers need to have a meeting over policies because, obviously, everyone isn't on the same page! As much money as I spend there, I'm sure another store would love to have me as their purchaser.

Deceptive Advertising, Argumentative & Untrained Employees - I visited Wal-Mart at 621 Uptown Village in Cedar Hill, TX 75104 (Dallas), which is managed by ** and with phone number 469-272-7344. At terminal 49005417, I paid by debit. The cashier was passing items over the "scanner' back and fourth again twice, causing 4 over-rings of merchandise. She paid no attention to the overcharges and had to be shown her error, and I required her to refund back the over-rings.
The advertised policy of honoring competitors' advertised price is misleading to consumers. We had today's copy of a Kroger ad showing the same merchandise carried by Wal-Mart, to wit: Kellogs Frosted Flakes (1), Town House Original Crackers (1), and Dreyer's Ice Creams (3). The discount said to buy any five and get $1.00 off each item (which saves $5.00 on total), which was not honored by Wal-Mart! I sent the items back, and they stayed on the register top long enough for the ice cream bars to melt (about 35 minutes).
The signs in produce said strawberries at $2.98. I checked with the produce manager, and it was per package. Also, green grapes were priced at $1.98. When I got to the cashier, the grapes rang up $3.31 for the package. I told cashier the sign said $1.98, but she argued. Thus, I went to the department and got the small sign and presented it to her. It stated $1.98! She argued, so I asked for the cashier supervisor or store manager. The manager was out, and the cashier supervisor at the register stated that the register would not ring up the $1.98 and thus cost was $3.31!
I complained after much of their "talk back" and their even "hostile" attitude. The sign said $1.98, and I insisted on paying that price or wanted discussion of this with the store manager ** or the assistant. The cashier supervisor, finally with a "disgusted" attitude, voided out the error and rang up the item at $1.98, the actual sign advertised price. I indicated that the signs in the department should be changed to inform other consumers, and she said she would immediately contact the produce manager about the problem. I checked out and took my merchandise with my wife to the parking lot. It's about 35 minutes to check out beginning at the actual register.
We loaded the groceries (which total $101.04) and drove out of the parking lot area. I stopped at a newly opened slot close to the front, left the A/C running for my wife, and went back inside to the produce department. I traced down the produce manager and pointed out the erroneous signs, which were still out and asked if he had heard from the cashier supervisor for correction. He did not hear from her! Two other error signs were posted at the $1.98 price!
I told him of the problem, and he said only the store manager had authority to change the signs. I asked if I could take the signs to the cashier supervisor for correction, and he agreed. I gave the signs to the same cashier supervisor and informed her the produce manager had never been contacted by her, and she became belligerent! I left the store and planned to return to Kroger to obtain my other desired items per their advertisement.
I am very dissatisfied! If this ever happens again, I plan to leave the store and let them replace all of the merchandise, or perhaps I will keep the receipts, get a witness, and later file an individual tort civil liability lawsuit at the local Justice of the Peace Court. The cost of about $65.00 can easily be recovered along with my $27.00 per hour lost wages, travel expenses, and any consulting fees from my attorney, etc., if judgement is granted under the Texas/Federal Fraudulent and Deceptive Trade Practices Act(s) and other Texas Consumer Fraud Statutes. Consumers, beware. Check every entry made by the Wal-Mart cashiers and perhaps remember to write down the prices, etc.

My son just turned 16 years old, and applied at Wal-Mart. He was so happy when they called him for an interview. He came home and told us he had the job. Next, he went in for the so-called orientation where they sent him for a drug test. He did it and passed. Then they had him fill out information for a background check so he did, and then he waited and waited and waited for them to call him to start work. He then got a copy of the background report in the mail with a clear background, nothing on it and called Wal-Mart to find out when he can start working. They told him to call the background place and give them permission to let Wal-Mart have the information, so he did, several times back and forth phone calls.
He received another background check. Finally, the background check company told him he didn't get the job and they sent him a turn down letter. He went to Wal-Mart and they said that is their policy. It turned out that when he filled out the paper work for the background check, they told him (while he believed he was an employee, an implied verbal contract by Wal-Mart) to put everything he ever did on the paper; if he got in trouble for anything, put it on the paper. He did get in trouble as a minor (he still is a minor) and the records are sealed, of only minor fractions of the laws, that of a misdemeanor. But he listed everything anytime he had a situation when the police were involved. They told him to put everything down because if they found something that he didn't put down, he would lose his job. And then when he was found clean with nothing on his record, they fired him or reversed the hiring because of what he had put down on the form.
I am so angry that this is Wal-Mart's policy, and I intend to make people aware of this policy, also to suggest people don't shop there anymore. Being a student in the College of Legal Studies at Kaplan University, I feel his civil rights have been violated as well as him being a minor and assumed Spanish but because of his background was discriminated against. This was his very first job, so it really sucks he went to such an awful place for employment, but the one who misses out is Wal-Mart. My son is a genius with computers, and is gifted as named by the schools for some extremely high scores (100%) on state tests; probably one of the hardest workers, biggest team player, and the least likely to steal. I don't think that Wal-Mart could have had a better employee, but now I know why they are always short on staff, who are overworked and treat customers like they are a burden, and have to lock everything up so no one can buy it, instead of a staff that is friendly and can help customers with questions, much less releasing the merchandise into a good paying customer's hands.
I can't tell you how much money they have lost because of the lock down of merchandise. Anyways, I don't shop at Wal-Mart anymore and I feel Americans should boycott a store that violates the civil rights of the American people especially its youth. When you are 16 years old, you can't have much of a background. Are they kidding me?

We are not regular grocery shoppers at Walmart, but been there a few times when wanting to buy relatively big ticket household items like laptop, microwave, vacuum, etc. On the 16th of June, we went to the 275 Main Street, White Plains, NY store to buy a low-end netbook. Upon entering the electronic section of the store, we saw 5 laptop boxes on display in the "clearance" section. We were interested in one of the items on sale and asked an employee for the price. He went in and came out after about 10 minutes and said it was originally $278, but everything on clearance was $100. We told the employee we'll buy it, so he went in to get the item (only the empty boxes were on display). After about 15 minutes, he came out and then we went to the checkout. This was when all the frustration started.
First, they spent like 10 minutes just trying to scan the item. The customers behind us were getting frustrated and we could see them going to other lanes. The guy who was helping us couldn't get their system to work, so he got another person to take a look, possibly a supervisor. She put a key to do an override and the final price was displayed, so I swiped my credit card and signed. At this point, this lady (if you can even call this rude person that!) said, "I can't give it to you at that price. You have to pay full price." This person said it in such a rude manner as if it was only $2 more! No apologies, nothing. Then I asked to talk to a supervisor. While waiting, this person took this empty box that was on display out of the table and sneakily tried to put it where the registers are. I noticed this and went near the cash register and asked her to put that box back where it was and then she said, "No, I can't," and on top of that, said to someone else "Call security!"
We are decent people and it's absolutely insulting to be treated this way for a fault of their own! Then after about 5-10minutes, a 200lb woman supervisor came in and said, "I don't know why the employee said that price, but I can give this to you only at full price. Take it or leave it." No apologies, nothing. Then I asked if there was a store manager I could talk to. After another 10 minutes or so, Beverly, the co-store manager (who looked more like a black version of Big Bird in Sesame Street than a manager), showed up and said the same thing, "I don't know why the employee said that price, but I can give this to you only at full price. Take it or leave it." No apologies, nothing. I asked her to talk to the employee because this guy actually checked the system and informed us of this lower price, but it was getting nowhere. All in all, we spent close to an hour on nothing. I don't mean to profile people or discriminate, but after having worked with a number of quality people of color, I was absolutely appalled by the very low quality of the people who served us on this day (just for the record, I only saw a small black community in the electronics department).
Walmart really should fire these so-called managers who know absolutely nothing about customer service and give our war veterans a chance because they are looking for work and will actually do what they are supposed to do - make customers happy and in turn, make Walmart more money. The only reason I mentioned 200lbS and Big Bird is because these facts show that they don't take care of their own selves. So how can you expect such people to take care of the customers' needs? Never did any of these employees use the words “sorry” or “apologize”, so it's not surprising that they didn't even offer a partial discount for their own fault. I'll certainly try to avoid this store and Walmart in general as much as possible. If you just want to walk in, get something and get out then it's okay. But don't expect any customer service from these people!

During my shopping experience today, as I was checking out, I used my credit card. I was unsure how to operate the CC machine, so I asked the cashier to help me and she ignored me as I was standing there. I asked her again to assist me and she yelled at me and said, "I can’t see from here," and ignored me again. The customer behind me heard her and couldn't believe her attitude. The cashier came around and bumped me and started the transaction on the machine. She didn’t say, “Thank you. Have nice day!” She treated me badly. I shop in Walmarts a lot, but with my experience of the employee, I feel devastated and awful to know you have people like that cashier there. The customer that was there with me was angry, too, that I was done that way. I have been in the public for 45 years of my work and never had this happen to me. The cashier was too busy talking to her friend to assist me.

I was treated like a criminal and terminated - I'm not sure where to begin. I had started my employment with Walmart, excited to be working for a company with Walmart's values. The orientation was great. I was totally jazzed about being there. The very first day on the floor, and it was a whole other world. I'm a happy person, a little hyper at times, but an excellent customer service rep. so when I see how a customer was treated rudely, I was disturbed. The associate said, "Walmart doesn't pay me enough to deal with their **!" Wow, I was like, "the customer is the reason we have a job."
And since that incident, I have heard from every employee I've come in contact with that "Walmart doesn't care, so why should we?" or "forget orientation, that's just **." They don't honor their promises, but still, yet I come to work just as happy and friendly as I have always been. Despite all I've been warned about, my customers love me. They call to make sure I'm there before they even attempt to come in to the Photo Lab. So I'm thinking, "Great. I love my job," and I worked my ** off on returns, and I'd hop on the registers or customer service to lend a hand because that's how I believe and everyone likes working with me. Some even prefer to because I work hard and I like things to go smoothly.
Well, it only lasted just under three months. Last week, an associate came up to me to tell me that someone said I had alcohol on my breath. I started laughing and I said, "I don't drink." So later on, I was walking out for my break and my friend, Dawn, or at least I thought we were friends, was at the door. She's Asset Protection. Anyways, I walked up and told her, "FYI, I don't drink," and I laughed and told her what I had heard, and she said, "Well, a couple of people had asked me if you did." And I laughed again. "How funny," I said. Then as I proceeded out to my break, I turned back around and said, "If they want, they can bring it on, a test or whatever because I don't drink."
At that time, I didn't pay attention to how she was acting. It's clear now that she had been the one who said I was smelling like alcohol, because the next thing I knew I was brought in to the manager's office and told to never touch her again and to stay away from her. And I was saying, "I'm not gay. What? I didn't do anything but touch her shoulder," and then again, my manager said, "Just stay far away from her and be nice." I said, "Okay, I'm sorry I didn't mean any disrespect. I thought we were friends and I was just telling her about it but I'm truly sorry and I promise I won't say a word to her."
Then I asked, "Am I going to be fired over this?" and he said, "No you're not; go back to work." So I did and everything was fine. Then, I slipped and fell and could not get anyone to make an incident report. I had hurt my hip and bruised my hand and by the end of the night, I told one of my bosses, "Can we do this later? I'm not going to the doctor or anything. I'm tired. I had worked nine hours and had the next two days off." She said, "Okay." So I came back to work three days later and two hours into it, I was called to the office and told that I was fired for gross misconduct and that was it. Oh, and I'm not re-hireable. I cried.
He wouldn't look me in the face and just like that, I'm unemployed. He said in the paper that I had grabbed Dawn and blew in her face. That was a lie. She was my friend and I was telling her. I just didn't know she was the one who may have reported it, but still I had no ill feelings toward her. So, I was thinking they totally blew this way out of proportion and why. What did I do that was so wrong? Now I'm hearing that they are saying I'm on drugs. So not only am I not re-hireable, but they are slandering my name as well.
I just want to curl up in a ball and cry. I don't know what I can do but surely something can be done. Oh, yes and when they brought me in to terminate me, he said, "Do you remember what day it was that you talked to Dawn?" Wow, I was treated like a criminal without being asked. I was told this is what happened and I'm done, no job, not re-hireable , and I didn't even get the chance to defend myself at all. And they did not even know what date I supposedly acted with gross misconduct?!

There was no one in the area, so I went over to the dressing room and asked the lady who answers the phones. I told her what I needed and asked her if she could find someone to help me. She told me that there should be someone over there. I replied that I could not find anyone there. She again said, “Well they should be there.” I again replied that I could not find anyone. She said that the last time that she saw them, they were by the aisle. I again replied that I could not find anyone. (I was getting a bit frustrated by this point.) She finally said that she would call someone and picked up the phone. (She had a walkie on.) I went back to infants and waited 10 minutes, but no one came. Finally, a lady from deli came and I told her my plight and she apologized to me and went and got an assistant for me. She came back and waited with me until the manager came (about 2-3 minutes).
I told the manager what had happened and he also apologized to me and said that Wal-mart does not operate that way. He called for the person that was over that area, and she immediately came over. They both said that they had not heard anything come over the walkie that someone needed help and again apologized to me, and the lady over the area answered my question. They told me that they would take care of the problem immediately. I shop at Wal-mart frequently and am typically very pleased with my shopping experiences. Even though this was not a good experience - the assistant manager, the lady over the area, and the lady from the Deli were wonderful. It is good to know that the majority of the time my shopping experiences at Wal-mart are very good and will go out of their way to help me.

On June 5, 2012, Walmart.com had a special deal on a Sony Vaio laptop for $41.00 or $53.00, which included your selection of a printer, mouse, and flash drive at a quoted price for each. The laptop came in colors of pink, white, etc. There was no place for me to choose a color, but being such a great deal, I figured whatever color they sent would be fine. Funds were immediately deducted from my banking account. I then received a shipping order ** with an estimate delivery date of June 7-13.
First, I received the flash drive, and upon checking the tracking number showing the time frame to each delivery, on June 9, I emailed Walmart and questioned why there was no information on the laptop tracking. I heard nothing so I emailed them again on June 10th until June 11. The answer I got back on the 12th was something that says, "Thank you for contacting us on not receiving your order. We would review the order status." An 800 number was also included. Later on that day, I received another email stating that since I did not select a laptop, it was not being sent and there was a pricing error. I called Sony and spoke to their customer service department. I was told to contact Walmart. I called Walmart on the 800 number and spoke to Brandy who told me that the pricing error had been corrected on June 6. She said that she was sorry but there was nothing she could do.
If it was corrected on the 6th, why did they even bother to send out the other items - and to have no type of communication with me until the day before the last day the laptop would be sent? She stated that they had and were receiving calls from other customers who had also placed orders. I told her I understood her position but I felt that they should honor their commitment because the error was not mine. I also told her that I would be contacting our local television station, which I did on 6/14, where I was given the telephone number and address for Walmart's corporate offices.

On 5-26-2012 at 6:42 pm, I checked out from register 7 at the Sturgis, Michigan Wal-Mart. I am handicapped and I need to use a wheelchair if I am to move throughout the store. I was alone that day, and I had an exceptionally large amount of groceries to purchase as we were expecting guests. I was putting items upon the conveyor belt, to be checked out, when the clerk (I could not see her name, as her name tag was pinned to her lower blouse, at the side) made a rude comment about there being too many bags in her way. I still had a few things to put upon the conveyor belt, (it is hard to reach into the basket on the wheelchair to retrieve the groceries).
I quickly finished putting up the groceries and wheeled up to the bag section. I tried to lift a bag into the cart, but it was quite heavy. I asked her if she would please help me. She ignored me, while she continued to check items through. I asked her again, a little louder. She continued to ignore me. Finally, after my third attempt to get some help, she grunted and rudely said, "Sure, if I have to." I really needed her help. I had a lot of heavy groceries, and she put the heaviest ones into the same bags. The one redeeming act that evening happened when I wheeled out to my van. I had a hard time getting my bags into my vehicle. A young man (who was taking care of grocery carts) saw me struggling and asked if he could help me. He came over and put all of my groceries into my van, then drove the cart back into the store.

Recently, I used it again not realizing that it was the lotion that caused the problem last year. When I used it a few Saturdays ago, I sprayed it on and let it dry about 20 minutes before putting any clothing on (other than underwear). I had a white shirt on. I washed it a day or so later and it turned orange! It looks tie-dyed! I called the number on the bottle right away and the man on the phone was very nice, but not very helpful. I called this past Tuesday and the lady I talked to was not only nasty, but even less helpful! I will not ever buy this product or any other equate suntan lotion again! I purchased 3 Sony 15.5" Vaio VPCEH36FX laptops and 3 accessories (a printer, carrying case and USB drive) for each laptop from Walmart.com on 6/6/12. The purchase of 3 accessories was required for the purchase of each laptop. After confirming my purchase on the website, I noticed my email confirmations omitted the purchase of the laptops completely off of my receipts, but I was still being charged for the accessories. I also noticed the prices of the accessories were suddenly doubled and quadrupled. I emailed the customer support department at Walmart and received no response. I then called the billing department and spoke to a supervisor named Stephanie.
She informed me that the price of the laptop was a misprint so it had been taken off of everybody's orders. I asked why weren't any customers informed of this and why were we still being charged double and quadruple prices for the "required" accessories, she had no answer. The very next day, the useless accessories were delivered to my residence. So instead of receiving 3 laptops, which I had originally confirmed in my purchase order, I received 3 printers, 3 carrying cases and 3 USB flash drives which were only bought as a requirement to be able to purchase the laptop. Now, Walmart sent me an email claiming it was my fault because I didn't choose a laptop, I only chose accessories. Huh? I have 3 emails where you guys admitted it was a "typographical error" on your site. Get your lies straight!

Myself and several friends purchased a Sony laptop through Walmart.com. The site was very clear as I scrolled down all the various laptops and I saw a pink Sony for $41.00 (approximately). I chose that laptop and then it said this special purchase comes with a bundle and to choose a printer, a carrying case and a USB flash drive, which added no additional cost to my purchase. I received a warning that the printer I chose that was included for free was sold out and I could now choose from one that added $12.00 or one for $24.00 to my purchase. I choose the one for $12.00 as I really only included the bundle as it was required to get the special deal (the Sony laptop).
All items arrived within days and yesterday, I received an email that I never choose which laptop I wanted and now they are not available. But I can return the other items in order to get my money back or I can keep them, as what I paid for is what I received. I paid $41.00 for a laptop and an additional $12.00 for a printer. I did not get my laptop, so how is this possible? They admitted the bundle was confusing and that for my inconvenience, I will receive a $20.00 Walmart gift card? No thanks, I want my laptop and will not be happy until that happens.
We feel that this was a deliberate act of false advertising because a lot of people are not going to take the time to return these items they received in order to get their money back. Anyone with information on how to assist in getting Walmart to honor this sale they made, please post. By the way, my receipt clearly states that I purchased a Sony laptop of my choice (the choice was in the color pink blue or white!).

I had guests for dinner on Friday, 06/08/2012; and I went to Wal-Mart to buy some fresh raw chicken. Although the expiry date was still good (2-3 more days), a very bad/rotten smell was found when I opened the package at home. As I live very close to the store, about 3 miles, I rushed back to return it and make sure no other families get sick or poisoned. I have asked the customer service department to talk to the store manager. I urged the manager to check on all other remaining same items in the fridge to make sure no other customers buy the same bad product and get sick. After checking, 2 more bad packages were found by the manager and his meat department manager. The 3 packages (including mine) were kept inside the store freezer. As a result, I requested to file a formal complaint at Wal-Mart, so they take necessary action. The store manager offered to give me a $20 gift card and return my money back. I decided to get my money I paid only.
Yesterday (06/12/12), a representative from the "chicken company" called me and offered to compensate me with some free coupons to buy the same products, but I also refused as I don't trust this food company and the way they handle their food safety measures. I was hoping to hear that they have taken proper action to recall the product from all stores/markets as part of the USDA procedures in such cases!
My wife is in her 2nd-month pregnancy, and we could have all ended in a real tragedy, should we and our guests eat from that rotten chicken. Please let me know how can I sue Wal-Mart and their "chicken company" to get fair compensation and stop them selling spoiled food to people, as there could be lots of the same bad meat all over the country, still.

That is his expertise." So I approached the employee and he said, "I can't do the keys," and proceeded to walk away from me without even calling someone to come and help a customer to the key machine. I then asked another gentleman and he just sloughed me off and did not acknowledge me at all and proceeded on his way and did not call anyone.
I then asked a girl close by, stating, "I am a customer and I can't seem to get any service." She finally called someone over the speaker. I waited and waited and finally some gentleman who looked like a supervisor asked me if anyone was helping me and I said, "I have asked several employees and they couldn't care less if I needed help or not." I was very disappointed in the help I did not receive. When I think my grandson had to go to the country, China, to get a job because he was not able to get a job in the US after serving in Iraq for 2 years and could not get a job at any store, not even Walmart and then I come across employees I met today, it was disgusting.
I worked several years ago at Kmart as a front end supervisor and when I was on a break on my own time, I was always taught that the customer comes first and if they come up to you - you help them out which I always did. I was always after the cashiers if they were rude with customers, that the customer comes first and you treat them with respect since they are the ones paying your wages by shopping at Kmart. I just feel that you need to have a lot of sessions with your employees and let them know that this will not be tolerated at Wal-Mart. I was appreciative to the person that finally helped me out who I believe was a manager.
I had not planned on this visit being as long as it was as I was on a short time frame for shopping. I was not able to complete my entire shopping due to the delay in trying to have two house keys made. I hope that this is passed down to your employees at this store located on McNab and Rock Island in North Lauderdale, FL. I do shop a lot at Wal-Mart but never really had to ask anyone for help until today and only because I was in a hurry since I was on my way to work. Then, when I opened it, I noticed that the machine was obviously a used one. It was dirty, there were stains and scratches all over. I guess someone used it and returned it to Walmart. Why do I have to buy a second hand one for the full price?
Then, I emailed Walmart right away, but I didn't get any response for two. When I called them, a customer service lady agreed to have it exchanged, provided me free shipping and she told me that SEKO will call soon to schedule a pick up. However, I waited for a week and no one called. I told Walmart that I never received a call. A lady said SEKO will definitely call in the next three days. But I waited another week - and nothing.
Finally, SEKO came and picked up the item on the 6th of June. I wasn't provided any information about when I would receive the new one. I kept logging to my account to check. I called them again, telling them that I was charged $288.87. I don't even have the old one and seemed like no one would care about whether I receive another one. They told me that I have to place another order and they will provide me free shipping. The money for the used one will be refunded soon. So, I agreed and placed an order. What's worse? They had charged me $369.09 ($74 for shipping). Now, I was charged over $500 and I don't even have a washing machine. I struggled for a month. Shortly after arriving home, the juice was opened, at which time, I looked over my receipt for any discrepancies, thus noticing the price I was charged for the juice being $4.67.
There was no other signage in Wal-Mart stating that buying one item of Tropicana juice would cost me $4.67. I did not return the juice for the simple fact that it would cost me more in driving there and back to save $1.17. She pulled my cart out into the main aisle and regained her spot in line. I responded in the same loud voice she used and much to my embarrassment, lost my cool and told her shut up, that she had regained her place in line and we were done.
After she paid, she came very close to my face and whispered that I was lucky this happened in Walmart, some place else, she would stick me. Nice clientele in Walmart, threatening to stab me over a place in line. The cashier and other customers in line looked, but said nothing. I didn't report the threat, but did try to speak with a manager on my way out of the store about the fact that at noon on a Saturday, only 5 checkout lanes were open. Her response was that she just got back from lunch and didn't know what was happening. She said, "They give us limited staff. It is what it is."
Oh, the other customer left part of her purchase on the bagging carousel and the cashier left me waiting for almost 3 minutes while he attempted to catch up with her, going all the way into the parking lot. Every time I called the store, the operator did not know the extension number to the customer service department. Finally, an employee in the jewelry department went over to the customer service department and got the extension number for me. Once I got to the store, I spoke to a manager (who I was told had played pro basketball in Europe) and relayed my concern. Bethel told me I was wrong for doing this and was very rude. He also stated that the manager in question had every right not to be happy with me, as I had mentioned to Bethel earlier that I spoke to the store manager and felt he was not happy with me. The greeter agreed the manager had every right to be mad at me because he has more important duties to attend to at this point.
The greeter told me I was wrong and became so mad his lips were shaking. I then left and said I would never buy anything from Walmart again. I felt so offended and so disrespected for reporting a legitimate concern and then speaking about it. I got home 20 minutes later and called the store and spoke to another manager, but I did not feel this situation would be handled fairly since it was all in the store. I also sent an e-mail to their corporate office. I was told by a friend I should send a complaint to an independent agency if I wanted faster resolution.
