    I’ve always admired Timex, but my recent experience with their handling of a limited-edition watch order has left me deeply disappointed. I placed an order for a limited-edition watch that was marked as available on their website. After receiving a confirmation email, I eagerly waited for 10 days, only to be told via email that the watch was no longer available and my order couldn’t be fulfilled. What makes this even harder to accept is that, while I was being informed my order couldn’t be completed, I saw others posting photos of the exact watch I ordered. It felt like my order was deprioritized or mishandled, which left me feeling excluded and undervalued as a customer.

    Timex offered me a 30% discount for a future purchase, but given they already have 25% off sitewide, this felt like a token gesture rather than a meaningful resolution for the disappointment of missing out on a watch I truly wanted. I understand mistakes happen, but the way this was handled—delayed communication, lack of proactive resolution, and an inadequate attempt to make things right—has left me questioning whether I’ll ever buy from Timex again. I’m sharing this in hopes that Timex improves their inventory management and customer service. Loyal customers like me deserve better.

    I purchased a ladies' Ironman watch in May 2023. Upon receiving it I could immediately see it was not the same quality that I had been used to with Timex. Within 7 months it broke-it automatically reset the date and time and I was unable to reset to it. It was returned for repair under warranty (which took over 3 months) and within 10 months the same problem occurred again. This time, Timex advised me that the repair warranty was 3 months and the repair would cost a minimum of $30. Poor product quality and disappointing customer service.

    I ordered and confirmed my order for the 170 year anniversary watch. When it disappeared from my cart I contacted customer service. They were going to route my concern to another entity. It's been over a week with no response. I've attempted to contact them twice with no response.

    I purchased a Timex Time and Tide watch about 8 years ago. It was handsome and functional and also well over $100 in price. It appeared to be a solid watch. I wore the watch occasionally, perhaps 10X a year. I own at least 10 watches. I never went swimming with the watch and treated it carefully. After a year and a half the watch stopped. I took it to my jeweler to have the battery replaced. He is a solid technician and actually studied at the Timex watch training when Timex was located in CT. He reported that the battery was not the problem, the watch mechanism was shot. Nevertheless, I called Timex and sent the watch to them. They came back and said the watch was shot and could not be repaired.

    I was very upset and complained bitterly and they sent me a replacement. Here again I wore the watch just a few times. This week it stopped and I took that watch back to the same jeweler assuming the battery had to be replaced. He put in a new battery and declared the second hand is not moving. The watch was shot. He said the circuitry was probably shot. Then he went on a rampage explaining that Timex watches were once had a very reliable movement. Bulletproof! He has had one, still working, for over 50 years. But now, he said the watches are made offshore, no longer in Connecticut and they are GARBAGE. They do not last. Well, I know this first hand. Do Not Buy a Timex now!

    I am an RN for 43 years and loved my Timex watches, especially when Indiglo was an option. Now retired, I bought this Timex from the Lebanon Boscov’s as seen in the photos. Great watch, but the band started falling apart after two months. Paid $47 for it.

    Buyer Beware - Timex does not stand behind their product & their customer service is horrible: I purchased the Waste More Time Watch Timex Legacy Ocean 42mm with Recycled Plastic Bracelet on June 8th, 2024 from the Timex website. After receiving the watch, I paid to have the band adjusted, and roughly 2 hours later, it stopped working. When I contacted customer support, they told me the watch was not returnable as I had some links taken out, which is something 99% of customers need to do.

    Customer service informed me my only option was to send it to their repair shop, which would take 2-3 months. They would also charge me if they deemed the repair "not their fault." Timex sold me a defective watch that did not last more than 4 hours out of the box and refused to provide a reasonable means to rectify the situation. I can't imagine anyone would consider waiting 2-3 months for a brand-new watch to be fixed as a reasonable solution. Save your money and purchase any other brand.

    I remember as a child the Timex slogan was it keeps on ticking. Today apparently is Timex keeps on lying. I bought a watch almost exactly a year ago. It’s stopped 30 days later and I sent it in for repair. I got the watch back three months later finally after repeated calls and different stories and the watch stopped again. I sent it back and then the stories began to be, more fantasy than anything else. I was told they didn’t have the parts, then I was told they did have the parts then I was told they would send a new watch then they finally sent a watch at the seventh mark and it was broken. Since then I have been told at least eight times different stories ranging from we don’t have the part, we do have the part, to will replace it with another watch to, we don’t have that watch but will send this other watch and the stories just get crazier and crazier and none of them ever match up if I talk to more than one representative which talk to representative

    Purchase a Expedition North® Titanium Automatic 41mm Recycled Fabric Strap Watch. Bought in January. Runs fast over 3 minutes a day. I called to get it fixed under warranty from Timex. Was told I have to mail it to them In Canada then it's shipped to the US then shipped to the Philippines for repairs. Was told I have to pay a processing fee and would take up to 3 to 4 months to get it back. I paid about $500 dollars for this watch and will never buy another Timex watch again. Not happy.

    As an avid outdoorsman and longtime Timex user I was prompted to try an Expedition watch for hunting and fishing. The watch performed as expected for about 6 months. After that the Indiglo quit working. When I contacted Timex they basically told me sorry, do you want to buy another one? The indiglo is the reason I bought this watch to keep track of time in low light conditions. It appears to me that Timex has a problem with quality control AND customer satisfaction. I would definitely recommend anyone looking into backlit watches try any brand except Timex. There are several brands out there now that have this feature. So sad for Timex as they have been the working men's watch in the US for my 63 years of life but seem to have taken a turn for the worst.

    I bought my Expedition watch April of this year from the manufacturer. The watch stopped working a couple of weeks ago while under warranty. Despite repeated requests, Timex will not repair, replace, refund, or give me credit. I am out $200 +. Please learn from my folly and do not buy a watch from this company.

    I really want to give Timex 0 stars if there were an option. Just cheap, trash watch which I paid over $100, had it for about 3 months, not wearing it on a daily basis, and now they are wanting to charge me for an unwarranted item $30???! I purely specified that if this "new" watch needed repairs that I WOULDN'T pay for it and just send it back. I received a Paypal email specifying payment is $30 and there is absolutely NO breakdown on what the issue was. The watch (which I don't know how that happened) was ahead 2 hours!!! It was one of those days I didn't wear it. I also bought 2 cheaper Timex watches on Amazon, and surprise surprise both of these watches were defects as well. So all 3 watches were defective.

    Why do I need to pay $30 for a repair which obviously wasn't me who caused it to run 2 hours faster! Horrid horrid experience. Also with no confirmation that they actually did receive the watch, as well as disregard that if I had to pay for anything extra for any repairs which should have been under warranty, that I would NOT pay. They could just return the watch and I would just throw it away in the trash!!! Unbelievable, I am so not happy all round with this cheap watch company.

    I have to say that Timex makes garbage watches. They are good to 30m but in the shower they leak? About 3 watches so far and will be the last I ever buy again. I bet they are made in China now and that would explain it. TOTAL GARBAGE!!!

    I've owned quite a few Timex watches since the 1970s and I've never had a single problem. I purchased a Timex watch on Wednesday 10-1-20 from a department store. It has the steel wristband which you stretch out and put over your hand when you put the watch on your wrist. On Saturday 6-18-22, if you do the math having worn the watch 5 days a week for that period of time and not wearing it on the weekends I've probably put this watch on and take it off my wrist a total of about 800 to 840 times.

    On this particular date when I went to take the watch off the part of the strap near the top of the watch itself broke on one side. I waited until today, Monday 6-20 - 22 and I phoned Timex to explain the situation. A gentleman called Migelle (sp) answered in customer service and to cut a long story short after I explained all the above to him, he sent me a 15% email coupon if I bought a Timex watch strap!

    Let me get this straight. Your poor workmanship has failed, and I've got to buy another watch strap. What a spit in the face. If I was Timex I'd have said, "We're so sorry for the trouble and thank you for having faith in our products for so many years. We'll send you out a new watch strap." I've nothing further to say. I think this company's poor response to a customer who's been with them for almost half a century says it all!

    Pls Pls Pls do not buy Timex watches online, I don't know about watch, as I haven't received it yet, I don't know about physical shop experience, but my first Timex online shopping experience is worst. It's been a month and still I haven't receive watch or refund. First I got updated from customer care that order is cancelled (which I didn't cancelled, I was waiting for the product), then I got update from customer care that product isn't available any more and they don't know about my payment status (I did payment while placing an order), then I got update from cc that they will proceed refund.. then their number wasn't reachable and now after more than 2 weeks I haven't got refund. Please do not fall for brand name..

    Ordered an expensive watch and a designer band. Company was supposed to ship overnight but did not process order, later claiming order was lost. Company still charged my bank account and says no refund can be issued until items are shipped, even though order is lost. Customer service reps are not good and have no ability or accountability. Lost respect for company after paying over 300 dollars for a watch. Regardless of ultimate outcome will never patronize this company again.

    My Timex watch was defective and was sent back for repair. It's been 6 weeks and I still have not received the watch. In addition, the company charges for shipping, even though it was Timex's watch that was the problem (no fault of my own). I expected that a company like Timex would immediately send a NEW watch when they received the defective one -- a policy most good companies follow. But not Timex. My recommendation is to avoid products from this company.

    I bought a Timex Mk1 Chronograph Field watch and returned I returned it immediately upon getting the watch in the mail. I didn't even open the box. I mailed the watch back to Timex and three weeks later I find my watch return on my front door step? Wow what exactly happened? All they did was slap a return to sender sticker on my package and send it right back to me. I talked to customer service who had me email them pictures of the package and 4 days later I still haven't heard back from them. I gave up and just decided to sell the watch myself! What a bunch of bull honky! I won't buy another watch from Timex again!

    I purchased a Timex Marathon watch in April 2019. 6 months later the band broke and I contacted Timex for assistance. The customer service rep informed me I could purchase a new band for $19 as Timex does not warranty the band for any reason. The irony of this is the watch cost $15. I found Timex’s refusal to warranty the entire watch, band included, to be a good reason to never purchase another Timex product. Edmund ** Arizona

    I purchased a 40th Anniversary Edition Easy Reader watch about 8 months ago. I chose the gold tone which has now changed to a dull silver in places. I checked with customer service and was told the color change was common "wear and tear" and that I should wear it properly. So their advice was to wear it in my wrist! Who knew! To bad the good old Timex has turned into a disposable.

    The watch I purchased was supposed to be limited edition but the quality of the materials used were unsatisfactory. It’s the first time the watch has had its battery replaced since I got it in September 2016 (the batteries lasted barely 2 years!), but a watch repair professional was unable to do so as the plastic cracked upon trying to open it. The watch repair shop comes with high recommendations so I don’t doubt his skills at all; I’ve also replaced the batteries of more than 10 watches with him and not once has this happened before.

    As mentioned, I own 2 of the same watch and the Japan-made one was alright when the same guy replaced the battery. However, the China-made one cracked. IMO, it’s a case of cheap materials used. On top of that, the official Timex distributor in my country mentioned that they are unable to honor the warranty as the watch was not bought from an authorised dealer (I bought it from End Clothing online). He also declined replacing the batteries (for a fee) as he said since it was cracked prior, he wouldn’t be able to open the case without damaging further.

    I bought a Timex watch on timex.com and presented my receipt to get a refund because the watch didn't fit right and they refused to issue my refund. It was within 30 days of me buying the watch. I had to contact the corporate office who did not honor my warranty or money back guarantee!! I will never buy from Timex again!!

    First, the product itself--the Timex 40th Anniversary watch with Horween leather band is quite nice (good leather, accurate time thus far), and a good value. However, I found the customer service experience to be lacking for several reasons:

    1) When I made the order, the first attempt did not go through, requiring me to re-enter my card number. When I did so, rather than completing the original order number, it generated a second order number.
    2) When I called to make sure I wouldn't be double charged--the customer service rep (CSR) said they couldn't see either order--even though it was visible on my end.
    3) When I finally did reach a CSR they told me I wouldn't be billed twice--but that they could not delete the duplicate order to ensure this.
    4) Timex sent no confirmation email on the purchase.

    5) Timex sent no shipping notice. When I accessed the tracking number through the website--it said, "waiting for package--no tracking information". However, then the package arrived in the mail. So I received no purchase confirmation and no shipping notice (just a bunch of Timex ads), but then a day after the package arrived, I get a note from Timex: "your package has arrived!" (unhelpful).

    In sum, while the product is as advertised and a good value, the multiple customer service issues detracted from the experience, and I am unlikely to purchase from Timex again.

    My husband bought me a watch off of Timex.com for my birthday in 2018. In March 2019 my date on my watch quit working. I took it to the watch store and they said the battery is great & it's a faulty made watch. I contacted Timex that said they would NOT honor my warranty!! I told them my husband used a credit card look it up and they refused to hunt down our receipt in their electronic sales! CUSTOMER SERVICE LAUGHED AT ME because I said they are selling faulty watches! They are RUDE & UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

    It takes them too long to deliver the watches. 18 days to be exact since the order. I had to return the products since they didn't arrive in time for the day I needed. They charged me for return shipment.

    Inflexible policies plus they make it difficult to return items. Purchased a watch and 2 days later they send me a 30% off voucher. I called to ask for a price adjustment, and customer service refused. The item hadn't even shipped yet. This is ridiculous in this day and age for an online retailer. When I tried to return the item, following their own attached invoices instructions to use the enclosed return label, I had to email Timex just to find out they don't actually provide you with a return label. Stay away, at least from their online store!

    My Rolex Red Submariner was being tuned up so I bought a Timex. It ran better than my Rolex. When Rolex came out I put the Timex in my drawer - forgot about it. About two years later I found it still running at the right time. Can’t beat that baby.

    I have bought Timex watches in the past going back to when I was a teenager. I have always had a good experience with my Timex watch including the band. The Timex watch band I have now works just great. It is very flexible and it has a very nice look to it. I recommend the Timex watch for durability and dependability.
