    Do not sign up for Ross credit card. You can't even go in the store and pay for your bill. They want you to use the number that's in the back of the card. When you call for Ross credit card customer service to pay your bill every month they will return your money so they can charge you the fee stealing your money. They're bunch of ** then only don't even talk English and other people from foreign countries. This is their game play every time you try to pay your bill and couple of days they'll send you a text saying your money has been returned has no money in the bank but yet the money has been returned. You get it. Ross it's still in the customer's money. This does not even deserve a star. I only put one star so I can write this video.

    Store is not clean. I found clothes with dirty clothes with spots. Manager by name Helen very rude, how could these employee and that’s why they are very rude to customers, you’re afraid to walk in store because they think everybody is thief or shoplifter. Very bad at atmosphere to show. You feel very nervous. Not organize merchandise or not put together. Everybody’s on edge. I feel sorry for retail market. When I used to shop I used to enjoy it. No wonder everybody’s going to Amazon and they avoid these stores. These stores in malls is not gonna last more than five years. They treat the employee as a piece of garbage. Not like a human being.

    Goodbye to the malls and retail businesses. I’m 77. I used to enjoy shopping at Marshallfield in Chicago. Bloomingdale. Macy’s. Neiman Marcus. Nordstrom. They gonna be gone in five years. How you gonna create jobs for these people who used to work at those stores stand on their feet for hours and hours taking care of the customers. God help us.

    I was at the Ross Store on O’Conner and Nacogdoches (#1771) on Saturday, Nov. 22, 2025. I walked in line to checkout at register 5, the light was still on because the associate had just checked out a customer, so I walked up. As soon as I did, the associate walked away to put up hangers next to the register - the associate’s name was **. I asked her if the register was still open since the light was still on. She told me there are other responsibilities she had to do and for me to wait in line until the other associate at the register called me to check out. She continued to talk to the other associate at the register next to her, **. I asked what this store number is, but ** and ** said they didn’t know and continued to laugh and talk. I told her that customers are supposed to come first before hanging up hangers and joking with coworkers. They grinned and continued to talk.

    A few minutes later the other associate called me to her register and I explained to her how rude ** was to me. She said “Oh, I didn’t know.” The minute I walked up to the other associate to checkout, ** called a man that had just walked up to the line. I also noticed he was a man of a different race. I pointed this out to ** and asked if this was about race. She grinned at me and continued to talk to the customer. She was very rude. I asked the associate that checked me out if I could talk to a manager. She said she didn’t know where her manager was, so I asked to call her on the intercom. **, the manager on duty, came up to the front and I explained to her what happened.

    She agreed that what happened was rude, but she couldn’t do anything about it, so she will let her manager know in the morning. I shop at this store often and noticed they’ve recently come under new management. Since this change, every employee there acts like they hate their job and have very poor customer service. The store also used to be very organized, but now it’s always messy. I am asking for better customer service and to be treated with respect when I enter into this store.

    This older lady with glasses and burgundy braids has a nasty attitude and poor customer service. To stay in business is to service the customers. It's hard to found staff that I appreciate their job and understand this task. And she is lacking all the above. Nasty attitude and poor leadership.

    This review is about the Ross Store on Alton Rd, Miami Beach, FL.

    1. The elevator does not work in this store. When I asked why there was no sign which would have saved me 5 minutes of pushing the button and waiting, the clerk said the bldg management didn’t want to put one up. The worst thing though is an older man (with a cane) and his wife walked in and asked if the elevator worked. They had come down two stories of stairs which meant he had to climb UP two stories with his cane. I told the clerk that’s illegal and he shouldn’t have to do that. She had no response nor did she seem to care about him.

    2. There is nowhere in the parking garage where it says Ross will validate your parking. I was surprised (and relieved) once I got in the store to see a sign that said they validate parking. When I got up to the register to pay, I asked for a validation ticket. They told me I had to bring the ticket inside to the machine to validate. Wasn’t told that ANYWHERE in the garage or inside the store. That meant I would have had to walk up two stories of stairs (broken elevator) to get the ticket out of my car and bring it back down. I was too frustrated with these folks to do that and ended up paying $6.53 for 45 minutes. Never again will I shop this location.

    Your restroom needs to be clean and the fitting room staff need to friendly and helpful!! I love shopping here because it’s affordable and they have a variety brands of clothes to try on. The hours are great.

    Absolutely the worst shopping experience ever! Totally rubbish staff. There were two people on tills, I waited over an hour to pay for one item, got third in line when someone in front wheeled FOUR FULL carts to one till and the other till closed for her break, nobody replaced her, I expected to be there at least another hour for one pair of boots.

    Some manager in an orange t-shirt hung around, chatted and laughed with security, he had one hanger in his hand, wandered about, looked at the queue and chatted to security some more. I left the boots and walked out disgusted. Absolutely diabolical service! They don’t deserve the business and they will never get a penny out of me ever again.

    They ran my Mastercard gift card twice, it was processed the first time but no receipt printed, and then declined the 2nd time they ran it because the sale was already processing, and then said all they could do is "cancel" the sale. But they didn't actually cancel it (there's no pending cancellation). So the shoes I paid for, I can't take and I also lost my $50 gift card because the manager was too inexperienced to understand me when I said it was ALREADY APPROVED but because an inexperienced clerk RAN IT TWICE because the receipt didn't print, the second transaction was declined. So now transaction #2 is declined, #1 is pending, I have no shoes and they stole my $50.

    Edited to add-I did just get through to customer service with the gift card - they confirmed we had $50 walking into Ross and $.01 walking out - the exact cost of the shoes ($49.99) and confirmed the charge is an online gaming company, not Ross. Their legal department is investigating and I urge anyone desperate enough to shop there to bring cash. Beware. They will steal your money.

    I’ve been in this Ross millions of times. Never problems other than long lines and one cashier. This rude lady who saw I had 2 items in my hands and saw me check the 2 items out because she was so close to me I could smell her breath. She then asked me for my receipt for the 2 items she saw me pick up and pay for because she was just beside me and saw me purchase them. I told her I promise I don’t feel up to the racism today. Who you need to watch you not watching because you too busy following me with my 2 items. She was an ** older woman. What did I do to her other than wake up and shop? I work hard too. Goodness! Give me a break and this woman has been reported repeatedly and apparently ROSS don’t care because I sat and watched her in my car and saw she didn’t ask other certain people for receipts.

    CULLMAN, ALABAMA location. April and someone else who was working with her helped me so much today. They went out of their way and were so genuine and kind. We need more people like that. It makes you want to go back and spend money just because they are so sweet to customers.

    DO NOT SHOP HERE FOR ANY REASON. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I was scammed by a friend and bought $450 worth of clothes and school supplies for their children when they didn't need it. I went to four stores Walmart, Ross for less, five below and dollar tree. I could tell Ross for less the time I checked, the register, the cashier, the cashier next to her and it was still in the bag I bought from them to carry the clothes. Every store except for Ross Dress For Less returned my money.

    I talk corporate and they gave me a store and some of the items were discontinued because I couldn't show a receipt. They are not a company for the people. I will step foot in there again and staff was so rude and unprofessional even management. I donated the credit to the Salvation Army. Which I now regret because even the desperate deserves better.

    I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at your store yesterday. I came in to shop with my son, and one of your employees—who claimed to be the manager—was extremely rude and unprofessional throughout our visit. While I was shopping, she began placing items into my cart without asking or explaining why. I removed the items, and she immediately turned around and told me not to place things outside of the cart if I wasn’t going to buy them—despite the fact that she had put them there in the first place.

    Things escalated when my young son accidentally walked near the rugs and one slipped. The same employee harshly turned and said, “KEEP DROPPING SHIT,” which I found completely inappropriate and uncalled for—especially when directed at a child. From the moment I entered the store, it felt like she was trying to provoke me. She was also speaking in another language in a tone that felt aggressive, which made me uncomfortable, as I had no way of knowing if she was speaking about me. I came to the store as a paying customer, not asking for anything free, and expected to be treated with basic respect. Instead, I left feeling upset and disrespected. I strongly urge you to review who is managing your store and consider hiring staff who are better trained in customer service and professionalism.

    Their loss prevention staff is rude. They literally just watched me get rang up by one of their employees. I took two steps and my bags were taken from me then she dumped them out and checked each item on the receipt. While I understand the need for loss prevention, an employee checked my out. Who are you checking here? The employee? Or me? Cause two steps I had all the time to stuff items into my bag.

    Terrible Experience at Ross – Sterling, VA. I had one of the worst customer service experiences ever at this Ross location. I returned a pair of shoes that I had not used, yet the assistant manager, Oprah, treated me with complete disrespect and accused me of wearing them. I politely asked her to walk with me to the shoe department to compare the condition of the returned shoes to others on the shelf — many of which were slightly dirty underneath just like the pair I returned. She flat-out refused. Not because she was too busy, but because she knew I was right and still wanted to be rude about it.

    She yelled at me in front of other customers, saying the only option I had was store credit — even though I had the receipt and paid with my debit card. I have never used those shoes, and I was being honest. Instead of handling the situation with professionalism, she was confrontational and disrespectful. I’ve shopped at Ross for years, but this was enough to make me never return to this location again. If this is how they treat honest customers, I can’t imagine how they treat actual issues. Completely unacceptable.

    Not ADA friendly. Will be checking on reporting to ADA. Attempted to purchase some ceramic flower pots. Asked if someone could help accommodate me to my car, since you cannot take the carts out. Was provided no assistance whatsoever. Never thought I'd become irate with Ross, but here I am. Guess you can't get the deals, and great service too. This happened at the Hemet, CA Store.

    I am very unsatisfied when they make me wait at the entrance for less than 10 seconds when the store is empty plus the guard watching me pay and still check my purchase in bag and receipt…The payline on weekends is a nightmare…Not worth my time or savings…It used to be a good experience not anymore.

    Store on hwy 6 n in Houston Texas, They have a constant change in employees, right now they are very rude, I had to return one item, and I didn't have to bag anymore, The cashier said to me "where is your bag" in a tone like I committed a crime. I used to go to this store every Tuesday for 20:07 years. I will never go there again. I have I had it.

    I am a longtime customer at Ross. The Ross store on 4100 E Mexico Avenue Denver, CO. The store has a nonworking elevator to the second floor. It has been over 3 months since the elevator has worked. People have trouble taking the stairs. It is very dangerous for elderly people to take the stairs. The poor Employees need to bring merchandise onto the second floor. This is very insensitive and unfair to people's needs. The air conditioning is also not working. It is very hot on the second floor. People can faint. It is unfair for customers that want to look for merchandise on the second floor.

    Return policy is not worth the visit. They asked for my Driver's License to process my return with receipt - just to give me store credit in the end. I don't shop here often which is why I had not been back for 32 days. (Outside their return window.) Their clothing styles and colors are outdated. You can find trendier colors and pieces at TJ Maxx and Marshalls for the same price.

    Just returning from my nearby Ross on 2821 W. Peoria, Phoenix 85029, which is 2 minutes away from home. Today while I was completing and paying for my purchases, the security guard was just right there in front of the cashier, and he saw me paying with my credit card. After I walked literally two steps towards him, and provided him my shopping receipt, he asked me to open all the bags...was that really necessary? And he had that smirk smile on his face....It was 100% racial profile...Ross you just lost your weekly recurrent customer. While there is a fragile economy, Ross allows this microaggressions to happen to customers inside the stores.

    Ross on Watt Avenue in North Highlands WORST customer service. Their employees leave security tags on items even though you purchased it. Did not have receipt. Itt was a gift but shows that they took the money from bank account. Still refused to take the tag off. Very unhelpful. Unwilling to help or even look at my bank statement that shows I paid for it.

    The experience with the Ross in Jackson on County line road was horrible. The old ** girl with short hair attitude was ridiculous. She don’t speak. I had to look at the screen for my total. She didn’t say thank you- practically threw my change and receipt in my hand and no thank you. Horrible customer service! As a manager myself I would never treat customers bad.

    My husband and I shop often at ROSS stores. Never had an issues with customer service until today. I asked the security guard [Thomas] for assistance to use the restroom and he helped sending someone to assist me in the back of the store...[he was great]... The problem arrived [FRANK]. I had no idea he was there to help me when he barked go...I paused when he again barked "go" pointing to my right... His tone was disrespectful and unprofessional. Not only that he doesn't represent your company well he was not dressed professionally and definitely needs pointers on his grooming. You can't look and act unprofessional! Please train him on customer service and proper grooming.

    I this woman claims she is a manager. My family and I went to the store. My daughter wanted some jewelry. She called next for the other cashier. She had a problem with me telling my cashier that the girl that needed she jewelry was my daughter. She responded to me rudely in a racist manner and was speaking and laughing about me in Spanish. Little didn’t she knew I understood Spanish but do not speak. Then we argue back and forth. I do not know who really hire someone like that. She wasn’t even my cashier and interfering with the other cashier Job. I have been going to that Ross for over 10 years. Actually worked for that company. And this girl is the Worst Manager I have ever seen. She won’t last long with a mouth as the one she got on. She is rudeeee.

    My complaint is they put the price Sticker on part of shoe where you step into it. You can’t peel them off hardly! I like to take my shoes off a lot and I don’t like all to see where, how much I paid!! Put on bottom of shoes! I shop at Hillsboro Oregon, Sunset Esplanade. Hope to see this change SOON. If not, I'll quit looking and buying shoes here.

    I went to 6677 Eagle Watch Dr, Orlando FL 32822 going into the store, the security super nice and grateful. We shopped around and once to check out there was a lady on day 03/14/2025 around 9:30 checking us out which seems to be the store manager. My anger with this is I have a 1 year old and I try my best to prevent being on top of people or letting other be on top of me because of how this is would is nowadays but to be checking out without even paying yet and this cashier /manager is already telling other to come to the register, we told her, "Ma'am we haven’t paid yet and you bring up other customer." My thing is safety for space and frauds, one a customer can get your pin or any information and she was super rude.

    Once we told her that stating that is Ross's policy and if it bothered us so much to go somewhere else which was crazy to me cause we were more than polite. And than she proceeded to to talk to the other customers that were worker in that store, bad about us in Spanish, she probably thought I didn’t speak Spanish cause of my color and proceed out because I have my child with me but you can’t not have people working there like that.

    We have 4 Ross stores in Wichita, KS and over the last year we avoid Ross if possible due to the stores being understaffed, long wait lines and difficult bathroom availability. No one wants to wait in line for 30 mins. The last four times we went shopping there was only one cashier each time, even during the weekends.

    I was at the Delray Beach Ross around 5:15 today March 4th and there was a long line of customers waiting to cash out. The one cashier working was moving as fast as she could. The other cashier did not open up even though she saw the line up increasing. Instead she was fussing with whatever she could find - hangers, clothes and garbage all the while people in line stared at her. Her manager came by and had to tell her to open up and serve the customers. It was literally almost 1/2 hour after she was told by the store manager that she finally opened up. I believe this girl's name is Janine. I spoke to the store manager before I left to complain about the situation and the manager refused to give me the girl's name so I could write a review. The manager expressed to me that she had no problem that this girl took almost 1/2 after she told her to open up. I don't know who is more rude and neglectful to customers - the cashier or the manager.

    I went to the Ross location off Katy Ft Bend Rd. There are 2 fitting rooms. In one there were 2 women hogging the stall. One would shop while other tried on clothes. Then trade places. In the other stall was a lady who would try on outfit then come get more out of cart. This was the worst Ross I've ever been to. Needless to say I left without a purchase and won't be back.
