    Our accountant team just caught R+L Carriers charging us unauthorized "inside deliveries" in the amount exceeding $10,000 for a calendar year. RL Carriers has never attempted to call us and let us know that they will provide such of service to our customers. The original Bill of Lading doesn't state that we are allowing or requesting such service neither. This is a scam company and just a matter of time for a future class action lawsuit.

    They told me they had to deliver to address but dropped at bottom of hill at mailboxes! This was a heater/air conditioner! I ran down before he left and told him I'd drive the truck 100ft up the hill for him. He refused and left the huge box at the bottom! I am 62! Never again! A mailbox is not the address!

    Awful everything. Had my package for 3 weeks before getting it to me. Package very damaged on arrival. Took 2 weeks and 6 scheduled pick up times before they came to get the package for return. BADDD.

    I received a message my package was delivered. I called to let them know it hadn’t and it was delivered to another home 15 miles away. If the receivers of the package haven’t started enjoying their free above ground $900 pool, it should arrive tomorrow. So hopefully it arrives tomorrow unopened. If not, I’ll have to go through the claim process and they are going to pay for my new pool.

    I purchased an AC unit. These folks attempted to deliver this to my property w no communication with me at all. They called when they were on their way, that day, but I was out of town at a funeral. Because they did not reach me, they just delivered my package on the side of the road, a clear 1/3 of a mile away from my door. My package had protection on it and was supposed to be signed for. The people that work here made excuses for their behavior and never even apologized. The driver said- that is what he was told to do. The supervisor JP argued with me and said that is how they deliver these things and then saw the package was supposed to be signed for and did NOTHING to make it right. I will never allow them near my property again nor will I purchase any item that has to come here by them. They are rude and incompetent at best.

    I would avoid this company completely. R & L picked up freight from our facility, it was packaged on a custom plate to protect the shipment. The equipment cost was $32,500. During the transit time, R & L removed my equipment from the pallet it was shipped on and placed it on a standard pallet. Of course, it fell over and was damaged, but they still attempted to deliver this damaged unit to my customer. The shipment was refused and returned to my facility. R & L caused $6,800 in damage to the unit. They refused to pay for the damage saying they were only liable for $145.00, due to some obscure shipping rule. The level of negligence involved in this situation is incredible, but they couldn't care less. If you are shipping feathers or something else that cannot be damaged, I think you would be fine, but if your shipment is valuable I would find another carrier.

    This is the worst company I’ve ever dealt with. My bed base was shipped by the OEM using this company. I was told to contact them to schedule delivery. We set up a date but I was told I couldn’t get a window until the day of delivery after 10:30am. That’s really ridiculous, but I complied. The first delivery came and it was the wrong item so I refused delivery. Once the right bed was located, we scheduled another delivery. I called the day of delivery at 10:30am to be told (rudely) that your delivery didn’t make it onto the truck, it was full. They’ll bring it tomorrow. I was already at home with the day off of work from scheduling this date with them a week prior and had confirmation as well. After talking to three people, they finally agreed to bring it between 4-5pm that day. Well, at 7:30pm they finally rolled in with a heavily damaged box. I thought the bed was ok from what I could see in the box, but I was wrong.

    When I had movers come and unbox the bed and bring it upstairs the entire corner was broken off. They had to move it back to my garage and the OEM had to schedule another bed to be shipped. When we set up another delivery date they were supposed to take the old bed with them as well. So, here we go again, delivery day comes, I call at 10:30 and I’m told your bed is still in PA it looks like it’s been sitting in our warehouse for several days. At this point, I’m beyond frustrated with the incompetence of this company. Are you operating out of someone’s garage? How can you be so bad at this service? Not only were the customer service ppl all rude, they’re extremely incompetent. The day my item is supposed to be delivered I have to call to find out you don’t even have it? Come on. I asked the rep, why did you send me a confirmation text if you didn’t even have the item and she said, I wish they wouldn’t send confirmation texts.

    They aren’t at all tied to us or your order. Seriously? What? So, I had to schedule another delivery day, another day off work. Finally they come with the right bed, undamaged. But told me they have no idea about picking up the other bed and won’t take it. I had to yet again schedule another date for pickup. The day came/went and no one came to pick up the bed or bothered calling. Even with all these issues, delivery delays, broken items, I never once received a call from this company. No apologies, no communication, etc.. I can’t believe they’re in business. Absolutely awful.

    I had a 150 lbs package delivered to me from TN, and unfortunately the shipper selected RL Carriers. I don't think I have ever encountered such an arrogant outfit in my 45 year business career. The shipper did specifically email me and verbally told me to write "Box Damaged" on the freight bill if the box was damaged in order for the content to be covered. But the RL driver had a fit and ripped the freight bill out my hands while I was writing and called multiple supervisors, and I was told it was against company policy to acknowledge damaged of boxes on the freight bill and insisted I write "subject to inspection" ... Unacceptable and totally contrary to shipper's instructions. The situation was only resolved after my suggestion to open the box and check the goods for any damage. I have more shipments coming from the same place...but I will pay a little bit more for FedEx shipping just to avoid having to deal with RL Carriers again.

    They managed to break a wooden crate so badly the front panel was gone and the lid was no longer screwed on. You have to smash the DO NOT DOUBLESTACK cone pretty bad to put a hold through a wooden crate. They just wrapped a little plastic around it to cover the openings. I would never use this shipping company and I work in shipping/receiving.

    So far they have been a no call, no show. Two days in a row. I've had to pay someone to sit at my elderly mother's home waiting for her lift chair to be delivered and they don't even have the courtesy to give you a call that they're not coming for the day. They tell me to be there between 12:00 and 5:00. I had someone there 12:00 to 6:00 and they never showed. I had to call to see what the problem was and on both scheduled dates. So far they have given me the runaround and I still do not have this chair. This is the absolute worst delivery company I have ever dealt with and I'm going to make sure I call the company that I bought the chair from and let them know. After reading all of these reviews, I'm scared to even get the chair. It's probably damaged.

    I received a text message providing a delivery date and time frame; it also stated someone had to be onsite to receive the delivery. I called R L Carriers to see about rescheduling to ensure I could be onsite. I was transferred four times and ended up with a representative (Rebecca) who was short, cut me off, talked over me, and was rude. She stated, contraindicating the text that I received, that no one had to be present. I finally managed to interrupt her to say I would rather be there so could they reschedule it by one day. Her response was along the lines of, 'Nope. We don't need a signature so we're going to "drop it" that day. We won't reschedule."

    When I responded with that's kind of a poor response, she told me to take it up with the shipper. The shipment is a pallet of tile so I cringed when she said they were going to "drop it".

    Excellent experience with our residential delivery, the entire process was flawless. Received a text notification when the freight was picked up to confirm our delivery window. Our driver Alex called ahead to notify us he was on his way and would be arriving shortly. Pallet was delivered and he went above and beyond while we did a quick inspection and to offer assistance. He’s a rockstar and definitely will look to R+L for future freight requirements.

    It is obvious that RL Carriers does not care what you think about them or about your bad reviews. My experience with them was much like the others described here, rude drivers, outrageously poor service, and rude “customer service.” I am going to start posting bad reviews on the companies who use RL Carriers for delivery. No company should contract with a freight company with over 90% one star reviews, and if they do, their potential customers should know about it before making a purchase. If a company chooses to put their customers through the frustration of dealing with RL Carriers, it should affect their online reputation.

    We ordered a loveseat from Amazon. It was delivered while my wife and I were at work. When I saw that the box was torn and busted. Part of the seat was broken structurally. R L Carriers said it was fine when they left. My neighbor saw the truck leave and said it had only been gone for a couple hours. They didn't pick it up from Amazon like that I'm sure. And won't do anything.

    I was scheduled for return item pickup (2 wood vanities, 2 sinks = 4 big boxes, $1700) so I put them outside a night before they come because they didn’t give a specific time schedule. Well... They didn’t show up without any pickup delay information. It was raining, so I covered them and called R L. Every 3 person I talked over phone said “I don’t know or maybe a late night??!” …. However, they never showed up on that scheduled date, so the boxes were still sitting in our front yard. On the next day, it was raining again, and I was worried about the wood products getting wet.

    I called their service call center again to find out when they can pick up. The lady said, “Maybe Monday?" And kept saying “I don’t know”… I was really frustrated and asked her “Can you make a reschedule asap because here is raining?” The lady just kept saying “I don’t know” yelled over the phone and hung up!! What a wonderful service?!! I had to complaint Build.com, which I purchased products through, about this situation because if the products get water damaged, the responsibility would be mine, not R L. Build.com was very helpful and called R L.

    Finally, the pickup guy was on the way on the next Monday. I said, "Thank you for coming at least today because here it is raining again." He just laughed “Raining? HaHaHa.” When he came, he pretended like he is a god and kept saying “Not a big deal, calm down, take a breath, I know this company has a lot of problems.”… ?? It made me more frustrated and disappointed about them. Before he put out these kinds of words, he should’ve understood about a whole situation first what to say! My experience with R L was that they were very disorganized, horrible service and had nasty employee attitudes! I will never use their service and will not purchase any products if the company works with this R L!

    Worst delivery service and customer service experienced in the last 10 years.

    1) Damaged a 8ft tall custom pantry on deliver--had to wait 8 weeks for replacement.
    2) Called 9 times requesting a timeframe for delivery so I could inspect a toilet bought at #Build.com. Gaslighted 3 days in a row while toilet stayed in their warehouse. Told delivery would be between 10am-3pm. Then toilet was dumped 5ft from our mailbox after 8:30pm and left the street overnight with no notification.

    3) Agents are rude, disinterested, and do the absolute minimum amount of work. They gaslight customers and transferred me 3X on one call saying they had no information. Spent over 2 hours on hold trying to get a delivery timeframe. Working with R+L Carriers is simply not worth it.

    Deliveries that are on more than 1 pallet are never delivered at the same time. Second half of the delivery although picked up at the same time, and is on the paperwork as a complete unit, is always delivered several days later. Sometimes weeks later. You have to pay close attention when delivery is made and call constantly to get the rest of your shipment.

    It's difficult to overstate how dysfunctional R&L Carriers is at operating its freight shipping service. In my experience, the company has never completed a delivery by the scheduled date. You should expect to miss multiple days of work, ensuring someone is home to sign for a delivery during each missed appointment -- they will reschedule a minimum of 2 - 3 times before finally completing a delivery.

    I've also learned there is no way of mitigating the company's unreliability; I've attempted to call and confirm the correct details for an expected shipment every day until the anticipated delivery day. Yet, they promptly loaded it on the wrong truck despite my preemptive calls and rescheduled again. Each time you call for support, a rude and inefficient switchboard operator greets you with a passive-aggressive tone that implies you should've studied all company departments before calling to be correctly routed.

    Next, you're transferred to a tracking support rep, in my case a disrespectful employee named Joy who plainly stated that customer retention was not her concern. Finally, you'll end up on the phone with dispatch, where they generally have no idea what's going on because none of these departments communicate with one another (especially when coordinating delivery requirements). From beginning to end, interacting with the employees and the overall ineffectiveness of the company is a costly and painful experience. I no longer purchase products from vendors who use R&L Carriers.

    I ordered an engine to be delivered to my local mechanic. After a few days without any contact or information I decided to call and see what was going on. I talked to someone who said they were supposed to call me which never happened. I was told the seller would have to change the delivery address because it had it going to my residence. I did this and was told by the seller that this was fixed. So you would assume they would deliver the package, right? Wrong? I had to call back and see what the problem was again and they told me they had to schedule it. Do these people not understand business hours, typically 8 or 9-5? It's not that complicated. IF you have to just call the place and ask. Hopefully, the item will be delivered but it's been almost 2 weeks since I ordered this and need my vehicle. I would never recommend this carrier.

    Every time this company comes to my shop it's always something. Mind you I don't use them by choice. The company CURT Group uses them to deliver a skid of side steps appro 750 lbs which requires a fork lift, so today driver Mikhail ** from this company comes into my shop and says pallet outside. I said, "Hi sir. Can you put them in this area." He says no with a straight face, me I'm thinking he is joking. Well he isnt. He begins to tell me he did me favor. He said, "I should leave in street. No one tells me fork lift or inside." Wow horrible company. Avoid at all costs. XPO is a company that usually always does my deliveries and they are amazing and go above and beyond no matter what driver it is. Beware. You been warned. Don't use R+L Carriers.

    Bought a pool from Lowe’s. They hired RL Carrier to bring it to my home. This was in March of 23. They only brought me the poles to the pool. So after a month of having to argue and even after they admitted their mistakes and finally agreed to come pick up the pool. They never showed up, not 1 time not 2 times not 3 times but 4 times. I my wife and mother-in-law have all been home for them to pick this up and they never showed. So not only can Lowe’s not give me a refund because technically RL Carriers has the money, they also even after admitting fault and knowing they screwed up they won't send me a new pool until the old one is picked up.

    So no money, no pool and two 7-year-old little ladies very upset they do not have their pool. And the excuse they told me today was the driver's truck was full and we would be first on the list tomorrow. Well, I called Lowe’s because they also called them to see what the crap happened and they told Lowe’s it was because no one called them to let them know we would be there. The email they sent yesterday with a mile-long list of instructions of how their driver won’t do this and that and basically if you don’t load it for them they will leave it. We complied, reboxed the pool (not fun), put it on a pallet and even wrapped it back up for them not show.

    All in all RL Carriers, I don’t know how you are in business. I will be in touch with Better Business Bureau probably won’t help but can’t hurt at this point. Also will be disputing, considering I never got the product seems to be the only way I’ll get my 2k back from you guys. And to that end I tend to keep posting reviews on here until my issue is resolved or your company rating on Google is what it should be. And I truly hope more people than I can imagine read this and think twice before using this company. Oh and one last thing, my driveway is about 300 yards long and they left the half of the pool that they did bring at the end of the driveway on a busted pallet, had to go pick it up with a tractor to bring it up to the house.

    Very dishonest company, if you order a large item, please inspect every inch of it and don't let their driver pressure you. I order a large item and could not inspect all of it, driver pressured me to leave so I signed, after 10 minutes of opening the box and inspection thoroughly my item, I noticed the damages, called the driver and he gave me a number to call, very deceitful and dishonest.

    First day: No show during 11-4 window. Called and they tracked them as being a couple hours late, with just one last stop before me, and to hold on until 5:30. Called again at 6 to be told that they “did” try to come at 4:00 but “the palette was too heavy for their lift”. Of course, this was a LIE. No one came because I was working at the front window the whole time, and dispatch knew earlier they were still trying to deliver to me after 5. Promised by management this would be a priority the next day and I’d even get a personal phone call that morning to keep me informed. Second day: No call. I called at 9:00 to find out they have no plans to even ship it today. Customer service is now supposedly trying to figure out why they’re so bad. Unfortunately not only are they incompetent, but they then lie to cover it up.

    The idiot driver left a $2K generator at the end of my driveway in the pouring rain because "he doesn't drive on gravel driveways". The generator box clearly revealed what was inside. Apparently, the driver is so posh he doesn't walk on gravel drives either, as he failed to communicate his idiotic plan to me. So here you have a delivery service who only delivers to "certain" homes, dumps off the load where it can easily be stolen and does not even inform the consumer because "no signature is required". AVOID THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY.

    Delivered 3 pallets on time, driver even texted quick and was very easy, quick and reliable. The driver delivered on the side of the road. Great guy, good company. There were some damages, but honestly it was the supplier's fault for stacking heavy on top of light weight.

    I am extremely disappointed and frustrated with my experience with R&L Carriers. As a small business owner who has invested my savings into my company, I was excited to ship my first out-of-state product to a customer. I chose R&L Carriers, believing them to be a reputable and well-known freight company. The pickup process went smoothly, and I even tipped the driver $20 for their service. My product was carefully packed and palletized, featuring neon stickers that indicated it was a high claim item and should not be punctured.

    Unfortunately, my excitement quickly turned to despair when I received a call from my client, who informed me that the package and product had arrived severely damaged. To make matters worse, the driver suggested that my client accept the delivery and request a discount from me due to the damage. I was appalled by this unprofessional approach to handling such a situation. Upon seeing photos of the damaged product, I was devastated. The package had been strapped to the back wall of the truck, and the driver refused to unstrap it so my client could see the other side, which was likely even more damaged. I have filed a claim, but the process may take up to 120 days.

    As a small business owner with limited inventory and resources, this experience has been a major setback. Not only do I now have less inventory, but I also have to ship a new product to my client and cover the additional shipping costs. To add insult to injury, R&L Carriers added a $339.87 "limited access charge" to my final bill, despite having already paid for liftgate and residential pickup fees.

    This careless shipping experience with R&L Carriers has significantly impacted my business and my finances. It is disheartening that a company that claims to specialize in shipping could be so negligent with their customers' valuable products. I sincerely hope that my claim will be resolved and that R&L Carriers is held accountable for their actions. If I could give them a zero-star rating, I would. Shame on you, R&L Carriers, for causing such distress and financial strain on a small business owner who trusted you with their livelihood.

    I ordered a pool from Walmart. I have never used this carrier company before now. Walmart chose them I’m guessing because of the weight. The item arrived 5 days late and the delivery driver was so rude and mean. He called my phone and was so rude I had to get my husband involved who had to leave work because the driver said he was leaving the package by the side of the road because of where my house was located. This was a 350-pound package. I have never had someone in customer service so mean and unprofessional. I wish I knew his name but he never even gave us that. This man needs a lesson in customer service and just plain human kindness. I hope not all of their employees are like the one I got today!!!!

    I ordered a motor in November and used this brand. Three months later and the engine has still not arrived. Called and the guy I got was very rude and even hung up on me. I call again a week later and they tell me the motor has arrived at my mechanic's. He says the motor arrived broken. Apparently, it fell off the pallet and they made no attempt to call or contact us at all regarding the issue. Thank god my mechanic has security cameras.

    I purchased a large heavy item to be shipped from Florida to Oregon. Before it even shipped, I received a text giving me a tracking number, a delivery date and a window for delivery time. The delivery was right on time. I was able to track the progress using the tracking number and easy to use website. The delivery driver, Joe **, was outstanding. This was a residential delivery and Joe placed the package exactly where I needed it. Joe was great to talk to and an outstanding representative for the company. In these days where customer service is the exception and not the rule, R+L and Joe rises above the rest. I have not had the opportunity to use R+L previously however, I will not hesitate to use them again and will surely recommend them to others. Thank you R+L and please thank Joe for me also.

    BEWARE! Very poor customer service. DO NOT USE THIS CARRIER, driver very mean and no responsible for items they bring to your door. All customers before sign the paper to driver need to make sure the items is correct or not damaged inside from delivery persons. (R+L Carriers)!!!

    I had placed an order for nearly 1000 lbs of gym equipment and was concerned with the shipping because other carriers have refused to drive down the paved road I live on because of tight turns. On the day of delivery I checked constantly to see if there would be an issue, and much to my surprise I was notified that the delivery had been completed successfully.

    The delivery driver, Andrew **, went above and beyond to make this delivery as perfect as possible. Not only was he a highly skilled driver who did not refuse to complete the delivery over the tight turn as other drivers have in the past, but he also hand carried the individual items into the garage where they were protected and secure. I could not be more pleased with how this delivery went, thank you RL Carriers and Andrew **, as this entire process was incredibly stress free due to your professionalism and experience.

    Driver came to deliver a big pallet left it outside and walked away, I followed him to the parking lot. Ask him to come back and bring the pallet inside, he never turned around to give me an explanation or talk to me. First time he came to this building and should've explain why he left it outside. Rude and awful service when I called customer service to report this incident. Don't hire them.

    I Had a great experience with R L Carriers. The driver notified me when he was 30 minutes out and was very kind. And even though my delivery was a curbside delivery the driver was kind enough to bring it in to the garage for me before I even had a chance to ask him to. Which was extremely helpful as the package I had delivered weighed over 800lbs and was unable to move it myself.

    I placed an order that showed UPS as the freight carrier. When the item shipped, I was notified it would be handled by RL Carriers. Not having dealt much with freight shipments, I'd never heard of them. When I found this site and started reading reviews, I was terrified as to whether my package would arrive and if it would be in decent shape if/when it did.

    My item was picked up by RL Carriers on 10/10 and delivered on 10/12. The driver contacted me and said he had a package but it had been loaded on an 18 wheeler and he didn't think he could get up my driveway. I confirmed that he could not, asked where he was and if he could wait on me to get there. He was only 15 minutes from my house and very graciously waited on me. He was friendly, polite and very helpful. He unloaded and stayed with my package until I got there. It was a " no signature required" delivery so he could have just dumped it off and left it there.

    While I don't have much experience with freight deliveries, I honestly don't see how this one could have went any better. Unless of course they had placed it on a box truck and delivered to my door. These folks have a schedule to keep and I was concerned about him getting behind due to waiting on me, and then having his next delivery customer raising came over him being late. I could tell he was in a hurry, but he just smiled and was very professional about it.

    The package did have a couple of dings in it, but seriously y'all, it was a freight delivery that traveled multiple states in 2 days time, I didn't expect it to be handled with white gloves. While I have yet to test the function of the item I ordered, it was not damaged during shipping. This company did a fantastic job with my delivery, and they did it quickly.

    Apparently, no one comes on here and tells about their good experiences with them and that makes it look as if they are horrible. I'm guessing for every negative review on here, there are hundreds if not thousands of positive experiences that no one bothered to share. So, my advice, don't let these negative reviewers scare you, like they did me. While I'm sure they are all honest reviews, they are not necessarily the majority. Just the folks who took the time to write about their experience, and most of us only do that when we have a bad one. Perhaps I just happen to live in an area with good delivery drivers? This delivery took place in Western North Carolina. Not in, but near the Asheville area.

    Wish I could put negative stars...This place has had my item for a week now. We have scheduled it 4x and not once was it delivered. My husband came home early from work to receive the delivery, missing out on money and I wasted my days off sitting at home waiting for it. No one could tell me why I wasn't able to receive any of the deliveries and they just kept trying to reschedule but it became a joke after the 4th attempt. I had already contacted the store and let them know that I was having a problem with delivery and eventually I called Amazon to get a refund.

    The lady at Amazon had to call the shipper and the store and when she got back on the line she said the shipper told her that they had attempted to deliver several times and that I had refused every delivery, then it was a wrong address...How could I refuse it if you didn't know where you were going? This place is shady! After Amazon told me what they said it appeared this place might be worried to lose another customer because of the pathetic attempt to save themselves. Now it's under investigation. There's no way they can go on like this for long without losing major business. Avoid these disgusting people at all cost.

    The carrier absolutely destroyed a product I had shipped to a customer worth over $200. I sent pictures, filed the claim, did all I was supposed to, and it was still denied. After fighting for days they offered to cover $34. Big Whoopdie DOOO! It cost me more just fighting this damn thing than that! Their customer service is absolutely horrible. I will no longer be doing business with companies that use this carrier.

    DO NOT USE THIS CARRIER!!! They are not worthy of the one star I have to give to write a review. I thought the Postal service was slow. It took them 4 days to get a shipment 3.5 miles. They could have delivered it faster if they strapped it to a turtle. If you something in the same month you ordered it. Avoid R+L like the plague. They are the worst shipping company ever.

    I'm not normally one to fuss online but I had to create an account here on ConsumerAffairs.com just to help expose R+L for who they are and what they're doing so companies will stop hiring them! I'm doing a full remodel on my home and have ordered dozens of large items from appliances to pallets of tile to stairway railing. Three separate companies I purchased from chose R+L as the carrier for the items. EVERY one of those deliveries resulted in a no show (with no warning) on delivery day, which is ridiculous because they set up the appointment with you 1-2 weeks in advance then send a text message, email, and call you the day before to confirm the delivery day and time window. All of those items required a signature for delivery and therefore I had to make the necessary arrangements to stay at home from work all day, which for me meant taking vacation time.

    In all three of the instances, the items hadn't even arrived at their "California terminal" yet on the delivery day. Their customer service is snappy, rude, and not helpful. If you're a vendor and you're reading this, do not hire R+L even if they are your lowest cost option because you will not have return customers. Shame on this company.

    I ordered a bathtub for a bathroom remodel. I specifically stated to knock on the door before dropping pallet off so I could have then put it in my backyard. Took the entire day off waiting. I never heard anything. And around 2:00 I walked outside to find the pallet with the bathtub dropped off in front of my garage door right where it blocked my car. I have no way to move this thing! All I can say is this was unacceptable customer service and I’ll use another carrier the next time for sure! Guess they can’t follow simple instructions!

    Package has been in transit for a week and received a call 2 hours before my delivery window that they need to reschedule for next week...Weekend service would be an intelligent addition in your line of work. THAT'S WHEN EVERYONE IS HOME!! I need to clear an entire day to be around for this package. Now next weeks schedule is pushing back. I'm a very busy general contractor and can't afford rescheduling like this. I have contacted the company I purchased from to warn them of the poor end user experience when using this joke of a carrier.

    I ordered rear bumper from 4WheelParts and it ships through RNLO. They attempted to deliver my package twice. The driver states that his truck is too big for our road and tree branches in his way that might damage his truck. I don't understand why they can't just deliver my package. Even fire engine can access our road and big trucks as well!

    Ordered a safe thru Costco. Go a text from R&L on Monday evening, "We will be there Tuesday between 9-1." We scramble. Get a call on the Tuesday.. Oops... Driver just noticed your item is not on the truck. Um, okay... Reschedule for a week later. No confirmation text so I call. Um, yes..we will be there tomorrow between 9-1. Get a call back 15 minutes later... "Um.. No... We can not deliver this item because we can't get our truck on your road. We have huge trucks doing deliveries on a regular basis." Hubby calls. Get's 'manager' who begrudgingly and rudely says, "Yes we will deliver tomorrow between 9-1."

    At 11:00 we get call..driver says he won't deliver because he can't use this road. Hubby says 'we talked to manger yesterday and he approved. Driver says I'll call back in 15 minutes. An hour later..WE call the main number...um..item is being returned to vendor. At best, these guys are incompetent and incapable. At worst, they lie. I spoke with a Costco employee at our local warehouse and told them the story... Their response 'oh no..we are using these guys again.. They are terrible.' Costco is working this out. THEY will make it work. If you are an individual without the assistance of a large vendor willing to stick up for you.. Run... Run... Run.. Do Not Use R&L.

    Very unethical company. Never received the massage chair they supposed to deliver. They said someone at the address signed it but no one in my family did. I asked them to provide the signature, but they couldn't. After a few rounds of calling they told me nothing they could do and suggested me to contact the seller. Seller wanted me to file a police report, and notarized loss claim forms, and I did. R&L Carriers received the claims and said they were going to investigate but NEVER got back or responded to my emails, phone calls. I disputed this with my CC company and got all money back. Big lesson learned. Avoid this company.

    I spoke with R&L and they advised the package (170 pounds total) would be delivered Monday afternoon 12.20.21 between 1-4; I booked a flight from Florida to Massachusetts to be there to sign for the delivery for my 90-year old mother. Monday 12.20.21 I am really excited that the product will be delivered. Phone call at 2:37 and I am all ready to say, "Yes, I'm here. Come on over!" and the customer service rep says, "I'm calling to advise you that your package will be delivered Wednesday 12.22.21 between 1 and 4" to which I ...politely lost it. No phone call prior to advise of the delay. And no one seemed to care that I had booked a flight to do this, and was returning to Florida on Tuesday 12.21.21.

    I was fortunate enough to speak with Mackenzie at the corporate office who was wonderful. She located my package; called the dispatcher; was able to expedite delivery to Tuesday and monitored the whole process. If I could rate her alone she gets a 5 - if I could rate customer service and POOR communication, it is a 1--so I split it and give it a 3.

    The office is not truthful about contacting customer to schedule a delivery. I was told they had texted my several times. That simply did not happen. I receive one text and called them a few hours later to schedule delivery. I was out of town and R+L would not hold the freight for even a day or two. I was notified by the shipper that my freight was shipped from origin 2 days before R+L texted me. As such, they could not have held the freight for any amount of time at all. Being lied to is a poor customer experience and insisting that every part of the delivery is on their terms is as well. R+L doesn't seem to care about their customers or the service they provide to customers.

    RL Carriers is one of the worse transport companies have used over the years. RLC Management must give out "excuse books" to their employees as standard reading material. For a single shipment, I have received excuses ranging from: "the shipper did not put the correct shipping address on waybill", to "Missing company name", to "Destination address requires liftgate" to "Destination address is closed" to "Truck broke down" to "we are no 1 on the delivery route" to "We will delivery tomorrow" to "I will have to check to the supervisor" to "we can't get in touch with the driver" to "the truck broke down again".... You get the picture...

    Note: Our receiving (destination) address is a large company with loading docks, several employees that have forklifts and all the necessary tools to unload shipments. RL Carriers claims are basically fiction, their tracking information is always wrong, and these guys should be put out of business. Good luck if you try and use them.

    They contracted to deliver a product to our home. Called us and said they couldn't get in the neighborhood. The solution was to meet us somewhere and have us haul and unload the product - with no cost reduction. If we had the capability to do that, we probably would have gone that way in the first place. After that interaction, we heard nothing back. A week went by and we called - apparently their plan was to just keep our shipment forever and never reach out again? They once again claimed they couldn't make the delivery and then sent the product back. Customer service experience was awful - had to explain the situation over and over. Was given no reasonable options to make it better. Snotty attitude from everyone we talked to. If you are a delivery company - you figure out how to make deliveries. Don't offload logistics and transport on to the customer. Ridiculous, unintelligent, unfriendly, unprofessional service.

    R+L Carriers delivered a package to our home. We live in the country on a one lane road. The driver dropped the 600 lb package on the side of the road with approximately 6-8 inches of the very large box in the actual road. When calling customer service, they had their own picture of the drop off that did not show how bad the drop off was. The customer service reps argued with me that the box was not in the road, when I can see with my own eyes that it was. They had about 50 ft of open area they could have placed this package away from the road. Terrible delivery service, terrible customer service.

    I purchased 4 LG appliances from Build.com, the online store for Ferguson Inc. specializing in kitchen and bath fixtures. R & L shippers were responsible for all 4 deliveries. They say to call if you want to make an appointment. I called each time I received an email from build.com; however, not once did they call. They left appliances in the middle of the driveway of a vacant home, under remodel even though they guarantee they will leave the item in a safe & secure location. Apparently, they only offer "curbside" service. When I told the dispatcher, Scott, that I am a 65 year old female who can't move a 400 lb. refrigerator on a pallet, and I'm caring for my husband who just underwent chemotherapy, he told me that it "sounds like your problem". Really? When I called build.com to complain, my salesperson and my business account manager were not available. The person who took the call told me 2 of the appliances were delivered today.

    Well, apparently one is missing now. I prepaid for all 4 of these appliances. (I purchased another 12 items, including a dishwasher, microwave, and Jacuzzi spa from build.com. All were pre-paid. I can't stop the order, and they won't stop using this shipping company.) Some of the items have arrived from Estes Trucking. They are the exact opposite. They call to double-check I received their emails and that the delivery window still works for me. DO NOT USE R&L unless you are a contractor with equipment and people to move the deliveries since they only drop their deliveries "curbside".

    Looks like they did their job. They're a curbside delivery company. My 500lb package was left 5 feet off the road in my driveway. Great company. The driver did his job getting to my curbside. And I’ll take it from there being a grown adult who ordered it.

    Updated on 09/08/2021: When people read all the negative reviews believe me I'm a witness it is all true. Had appointment date for 9/8/2021. Well the date vanished. I called to find out why. The answer I got is they have no idea where my crate is at. It left LA headed towards PA 8 days ago and still no one knows where it's at. My theory is get a clue, it's stolen of course from your help. I doubt I'll ever get it so I started 2 disputes to get my money back. It's true, the company can care absolutely 0% if you get your delivery or not. I even heard if you keep calling them they will actually stall your delivery on purpose. Now what legitimate company does that really?

    People, check Shipping company's feedback before you purchase. I'm 51 years old and had never witness anything like this my entire life. When I get my money back I really wanna forget I even heard of this company. Please everyone check all feedback, I don't want nobody to go through what I'm going through. Basically you will be on your own to try to get your delivery. The company I order from must be partners with them because they can care less also rather I get my delivery or not.

I called to have the payments paused because of no delivery. Every negative review is correct. I'm just glad I don't have to pay for something that I never received. This company is definitely no UPS OR FEDEX. I always receive my deliveries with FedEx or ups.

    They delay and moved my delivery many times, and lost track of my shipment today after they finally called me yesterday and set up my delivery between 10:30 - 4:00 (which is a week after the package supposed to arrive and needed by tonight). Didn't get any notice regarding the delivery (was told that the driver will call me 30min before delivery) until I called around 3:00 and told that they won't have any update till tomorrow. Don't use them!

    While I was waiting for my R L Carriers delivery today from 11:00-3:00, I took it upon myself at 2:47 to check on reviews for this company. Wow! These 1 Star reviews for R L Carriers read more like horror stories from R L Stine. At 3:05, I contacted the local office. After the receptionist transferred my call, I was told that the delivery truck broke down and was just leaving the shop. At 3:05. According to their tracking instrument, I was number 8 on the list of deliveries. I asked if they would actually be able to get here today. "Maybe. I don't know. We'll get it to you eventually". That ended with a laugh from the voice over the phone. We'll see what happens next! I'll keep this thread alive for posterity - and entertainment. Would they actually drop off the package without my signature?

    Driver was an hour behind so he pushed a box with a bathtub on a wooden pallet up my driveway and told me that is a soft delivery. Got in the truck and drove off. I just had the driveway power washed in the morning (white, no spots and looking like a new). Now it is scratched and I have a pallet with a tub sitting in the driveway (not asked where to put it). Would never use this company after someone asked me what they wanted them to do! Will never sign for anything from this company. I did not hire them. I ordered at Ferguson's in Ocala.     I have nothing nice to say about the company. First thing they moved my delivery date out twice. The day it was coming I got a call the day before and was told the delivery would be between 11 and 3 . So I changed my schedule around again to meet this time window. It arrived at 6 pm. I talked to the truck driver about my complaint and he says it happens all the time and he won't even bring it up to management since they wouldn't listen. Bad business!!!

    I ordered hardwood floors from Floors and Decor and they use RL carriers as their delivery service. As I take off work to go meet the driver, he informs me that my 25 cases of real hardwood flooring is damaged and I’m prolly not going to want to accept it, and he was right. One of the boxes was completely destroyed and flattened out with nothing in it and thrown on top of the rest. 5 boards were thrown on top of the shipment like they had been picked up from the ground and just tossed on top with no attempt to put the box back together to protect the loose boards.

    I asked the driver where the other 90% of the boards went that were in the box and he said he didn’t know. He blamed floors and decor and said they loaded it like that. There were 5 other boxes torn open and when I looked into them, all visible boards were dented and scratched. It looked like the pallet of cases had fallen over and were restacked. I had to reject this order. My next one star review is with floors and decor. The location that shipped the hardwoods were located in Louisiana at their 4 west location

    If you order anything that requires a large carrier, avoid R L Carriers like the plague. I ordered an item with a delivery date of June 11th. The tracking info showed all updates until it got into R&L in Fontana. On the 12th after not getting package and not seeing a change in the tracking info I called them, they told me package would arrive on the 13th. Late afternoon on the 13th, no package, so I called and spoke with their dispatch supervisor, Oscar. He said my Location only delivers on Fridays and promised it would be here on the 18th.

    Long story short, it is the 18th and no package and no updates on tracking. I called and left a message with Oscar 5 times, he does not return calls. I asked for their Manager, Pat left messages, he does not return calls. The lady I spoke with says "Oh, I see it scheduled sometime next week." WTH.. I called the vendor ordered from and canceled the order. It's not worth dealing with the headaches with these bad jerks. Trust me, avoid this shipper every possible way.. Take faith in these reviews, because every one of these are true.. Good Luck.

    Long story made a little shorter. Story told a thousand times. Time off work (x2), promised delivery time, no show! I didn't choose R L Carriers, the shipper did. They set a date and time. Tracking on their website said this number didn't exist (weird since I copy and pasted it). Due on Friday so I called on Thursday and they said should be on time. Friday morning on my way to my brother who lives 3hrs away to receive and install my new engine. 20 minutes down the the road I get a call from RL asking to reschedule my delivery. Dead silence. I couldn't speak a word. I pulled off the freeway so I wouldn't crash. She said it was in Salt Lake. I will be honest, I wasn't nice.

    RL ask me when I would like to reschedule so I asked for Saturday the next week. "No. We don't deliver on weekends." How about next Friday. "We will have to charge you storage." What are my options? She said Monday. "Then why are you asking me." She then ask me if I want it between 11:00 & 14:00 or 12:00 & 16:00. My response was, "Does it matter?     Company does not own mistakes. I was promised a residential delivery on Monday. Didn't come so I called company. I was then promised delivery on Thursday. I again called the company and they said there was a mistake and it is in Ohio, so it should be at my house on Friday. Called the company who now says it will arrive in Atlanta at noonish but will not be delivered till Monday because they won't open that trailer to remove its contents till then. I have taken each day off to be here.

    My merchandise requires 3 people to be here for assembly. I text them each time I get a reply from this company which turns out to be false and I end up looking like a fool. Each time R+L blamed the company I bought the merchandise from. They blamed R+L. Each person blamed another person. No one at any time said that they would take responsibility and ask how they could help me. As a nurse I can not and would not make an excuse for something the family said I did wrong. Whether or not I did make a mistake I would own the mishap and fix it. It's what people should do. Is nobody responsible for anything any more? Needless to say I am not only frustrated but hurt that I haven't been treated respectfully.

    I placed an order 5-14-21. Order shipped 5-17-21. Tracking info wasn't given to company shipping it out at pick-up time. The company I purchased from requested R&L to do a dock check because my shipment wasn't being tracked. I called R&L 5-24-21 to have the shipment delivered to the back door because if everything was still moving and just not being tracked, delivery should arrive 5-25. I didn't have any tracking info, but the person I talked to verified my delivery was in their system by using my name and shipment location. She also said a dock check was still in process. Nothing came on 5-25 and no one called to say a delivery was being attempted.

    I called R&L towards end of the day on 5-25 to see if there's any update on the dock check. They say they have no record of me in their system. I was instructed to get whatever tracking info the company I purchased from had and call back. I got the BOL # and they don't even have a record of my BOL initiating the pick-up from the company sending my purchase. If it was an error on the end of the company I purchased from, why did all my information disappear in R&L's system when I know I was in there because I talked to someone the day before? When I called R&L on 5-25-21 and the second person couldn't find any record of my shipment, I got disconnected. It seemed more like hung up on because there was a sigh before the call abruptly ended as I was going to tell them the address of the company shipping out to me. To say I'm extremely unsatisfied is an understatement.

    This is definitely a zero start company but Google doesn't go that low. The people who answer the phones are very polite and apologetic. The complaints they must receive a daily basis and they know to start off by apologies. They have had my delivery for 15 days now and I'm told it's being delivered tomorrow. I took the day off for it. (It's a big pallet) No one ever showed. I called the next day and was told it was refused. I asked how is that possible no one ever showed up. I was here all day. Then told they will send it out next load in 2days. Took the day off. Still nothing. Called again was told not sure why it wasn't delivered but assured me it would be there tomorrow between 1 and 3.

    Surprise NOTHING, called that day. Was told the driver is still out (8pm now) and he is delivering it. Still NOTHING. Now this morning I called to talk to a supervisor, told everything I have been through and was told it will be delivered in 2 days (meaning 17 days they have had my items). I told them that is unacceptable. It has to be today. The supervisor said, "No. Can't be done. The earliest will be Friday." (Place your odds on it showing up the day before the weekend....0) This is a company that should be fined and then put out of business. They lie to customers, can't deliver anything, and what do you expect when even supervisors can't help you.

    I ordered an expensive electric bicycle in September 2020. Due to the Pandemic, bicycles are in great demand with long wait times. The e-bike company finally emailed me that my e-bike has been shipped and I was very excited. Within a day I received a phone text instructing me to call R+L Carriers. I called the phone number and spoke to a very nice woman named Barbara who informed me that my item was still in Fresno, CA (I live in Phoenix, AZ). She asked me for my home address and I gave her my address and she noticed my home address was incorrect so she corrected my mailing address. If she had not asked me this the package would have been shipped to the wrong address. Barbara told me my package would be delivered in two days and the delivery driver will call me just prior to delivery.

    I was curious about RL Carriers as I was expecting USPS or UPS or FedEx. Imagine my horror when I read all the negative reviews about RL Carriers. I automatically assumed that I had either a 50% chance of the package being delayed or the package being damaged on arrival. On the morning of delivery, Anthony left a message stating he was on his way. Within 15 minutes a large truck pulled up and Anthony used a dolly to bring my e-bike into my garage. Anthony was very nice and we chatted for a little while. I gave Anthony a gratuity of $20.00 for being so prompt and professional and he thanked me.

    In my opinion, not only is RL Carriers a great company but the shipping cost was only $95.00 so very affordable. I am going to email RL Carriers to give a glowing review of their company and Barbara and Anthony. I personally do not believe all these negative reviews is real or justified based on my experience. In this day and age, people are quick to whine and complain but few take the time to give positive reviews.

    I purchased three toilets which were to be delivered by R-L Carriers. The driver stated he couldn't put the huge, heavy delivery in our garage because his pallet couldn't get thru the gravel in our driveway. So he left this heavy load that I couldn't possibly lift out at the end of our driveway, outside our gate, which is literally out on the street. All he had to do to put it in the garage was back his truck inside our gate, which is right next to the garage. This very easily could have been done because the previous week another driver from R-L Carriers had done just that to deliver another load. When I suggested this to the second delivery man, he said it was against policy and the other driver had "broken the rules". I would never use this company again!

    We ordered a 10 seated teak furniture set from Oceanic Teak in Florida. Unfortunately they chose R&L Carriers to deliver this order. They sent us a text message telling us the day they were supposed to deliver they did not deliver until three days later. After calling them to find out a time frame all three days they told me a time frame between three and four in the afternoon and they would give us a call 30 minutes prior. We never received a call. On the third day my daughter came home from work at five in the afternoon and told us that there was a really large package out on the street at the end of our driveway which is where R& L carriers dropped off a brand new teak dining room set. We can’t See the end of our driveway from our house. There was no way that we could ever move this package to bring it into our home.

    After trying to call them we got no help. We had to dismantle the whole package on the side of the street and bring each piece of furniture up the driveway. It was extremely heavy! I have never ever had a delivery company do something like this. Our neighbor told us they pulled up in a tractor trailer and just left it there. All I could think of was how uncaring and irresponsible the driver was and the company to do something like this to someone. Do not ever use this company unless you want the same nightmare we just experienced.

    The first delivery was for a BBQ and a number of related items. They called and said that our items were in Arizona and needed to be delivered the next day between 9 AM and 5PM and that we needed to be onsite during the entire window. After taking off and waiting all day, R&L called at 3:30 PM stating that the items were actually in Texas and needed to reschedule for days later. When the shipment finally arrived, they had put a forklift through the box.

    For the second delivery of a Pizza Oven, they were nice enough to let us call at 9 AM the day of the delivery and gave us an estimated time of noon and said that they would call at least 30 minutes prior. They ended up arriving an hour and half early, no knock on the door, no call and dropped the pallet in the middle of our driveway. After blocking the driveway, they refused to come back and help move the pallet. A message was left for the owner, but he never returned the voicemail message. Horrible service and what is terrible is that they are the face of companies like BBQ Guys who otherwise offered a great service.

    I will never purchase anything from someone who uses this company. I have been waiting 3 days for delivery. I've called multiple times. I was given a 2-hour window. It passed. I called back. Was told they were unable to locate the driver because his device was not working or he had turned it off and they didn't have a phone number for him so I waited. I waited. Try calling back and they're close. This is absolutely unacceptable and anyone who decides to use them should not be dealt with. How do you use a company that has such poor service? You clearly do not care about your customers.

    I paid $450 for delivery of a gas range. They said 11-4 and then said will call half an hour before delivery time. When they actually called, it was 9:40am, and I said I would get there in half an hour. The delivery guy who basically didn’t speak English said he wouldn’t wait, despite the fact they showed up at the wrong time and didn’t even call before as promised.

    After I complained about the issue, and got there, the non English speaking delivery guy stayed, but he was rude, unprofessional, and did not deliver the product to the proper location. When I asked him to simply move the crate 1 meter so my workers can use a dolly to carry it further, he simply refused. The customer service was non existent and equally rude. They proceeded to the threaten to take the delivery back if I don’t like where they left it. I had to ask the truck to leave my property afterwards, and he refused, too. I was just about to call the police when he finally left my property. Never EVER use this company.

    This carrier is the worst by far with deliveries. We run a business out of our home that has a commercial driveway attached. We receive multiple orders from 18 wheel trucks all year long. This is the only carrier that not only refuses to deliver our merchandise, but leaves it at the end of the driveway like garbage to be picked up by cars that drive by. We will NEVER use them again.

    Our new hot tub cover was supposed to arrive on Dec. 16th but delivery was delayed until Jan. 4th, while we were out of town. We came home to the cover having been deposited on our front porch with absolutely no packaging material around it and it was severely dirty and looked like it had been beaten to the point of having rips and holes and stitching coming apart.

    Because we were not there to receive the shipment, there is no warranty from either the manufacturer or the freight company, R+L Carriers. So we spent around $450 for a crappy new cover. My mistake was telling the freight company, R+L Carriers, they could drop off the spa cover without anyone present. I thought a company drop off an obviously damaged product...that they would tear off the packaging material and appear to take out all frustration of 2020 out on our cover. The cover appears to have been dragged across a pavement and a yard and thrown around. They even tried to rip a strap off the cover thereby breaking the stitching. Don't ever let freight companies drop off packages without being present. It appears this company uses that as an excuse to rip off packaging and really give the product a good beating.

    Stay away from this company!! They are very aggressive on asking payments, but they don't want to pay even a $ when service is bad. My company put our pallets in 3 different shipments (web pro **, pro **, pro **) on an R+L Carriers truck. It was strapped securely onto a pallet. It left our location in perfect condition. One pallet was delivered at the wrong address and it arrived at our customer's location. The carton was a smash, the other two delivery was delivered at the right location but the pallets was pushed so hard that the porcelain inside is entirely broken. In all three deliveries, the driver refused to write in the bol “Accept the goods with Reserve”.

    Our customer took pictures of the damaged load as it is. The broken item's value for the 3 shipments is almost close to $10,000. I reported the damages immediately after our customer notified us. I did everything requested to make the claim - filled out a claim form, sent photos, and a copy of the invoice. I have contacted R & L customer service and the local agent in Temple TX Chis **, I also email Alana ** and copy Tamara **. All of them keep saying that they will help me. NOTHING!!. They repeatedly say they feel my pain and understand my frustration and that they will reach out to R&L Carriers.

    Be aware of who you buy products from and who they use for shipping. R&L received our shipment on 9/11. I received an estimated delivery date of 9/18 from the company I purchased from (realtruck.com). R&L was supposed to contact me to arrange delivery. Since I had not heard from them, I called them on 9/17. They told me that my shipment was sitting in a warehouse in Atlanta, delayed indefinitely. They called me the next day to arrange delivery for 9/21.

    On 9/21, I received a call that the delivery would be delayed until 9/22. The truck arrived on 9/22. We were expecting 2 boxes, they had only one. The box was completely mangled. Someone did try to tape it back together. We had to refuse delivery as realtruck.com will not replace broken items if we take them off of the truck. My husband called R&L Carriers. They could not have cared less about the damaged shipment. They simply told him to complain to the company who sent it. Unfortunately, their lack of professionalism reflects directly on the businesses who choose to use them for product delivery.

    I have deliveries from this company often, I usually have very decent experiences with their staff and drivers but as of the last month it’s been getting pretty disappointing, today really tipped the scale. My delivery frame is 7am-3pm and always has been. A delivery shows up and calls me at 4:11, I said, "Give me a couple min and I’ll call you back as I’ve left the office, delivery hours are till 3 (they know this) I need to see if anyone can come offload."

    I called him back 4 minutes later to get his voicemail, I leave a message saying my boss is down the street and will be there in 10-15 min. No response. My boss arrives at 4:28 and no driver. The driver left, didn’t call me back to check status- nothing, made literally NO effort. I called the dispatch center for them to tell me basically, "That’s too bad that no one showed up in 10 min so our driver left" because WE weren’t there on time, but it was okay that they arrived over an hour and 15 min late for delivery. The service/ dispatch guy I called and spoke to was very rude and not at all helpful with the situation, not, "I’m sorry let me get this rescheduled for you," "Sorry my driver was late," nothing. It was all attitude and blame that we didn’t get there in exactly 10 minutes. There was no customer service & no rescheduling of my delivery.

    This is the absolute worst shipping company we have ever dealt with. Package arrived at destination terminal on Friday. We called to verify it was there, then drove 1.5 hrs (one way) only to have them tell us they couldn't find it. Promised to deliver on Monday, it is now Wednesday and no package. Since Friday it has bounced all over IA and SD. Every day another apology and another promise. I am almost certain it will not be in good shape when/if it does arrive. This is a swimming pool, maybe it will get here in time to fill with snow.

    I was expecting a delivery between the hours of 12pm-5pm. When there was a no show and no call I followed up by trying to call the company to find out what was going on. I did not get an answer either by the local branch and number in Fontana or the national branch and 800 number. I was a bit frustrated and figured I'd call the next day. Then about 3 hours later at around 8pm I get a call from a very polite gentleman who says he has my delivery and will be there in about 5 minutes. I was just happy to get my item and the driver was very professional and courteous. It all worked out.

    RL Carriers. I recently had the misfortune of having to deal with this company’s driver. I believe the gentleman, and I use the term loosely, name was Arnel. Arnel was the driver that delivered my toilet and refused to wear a facemask when I requested it. Besides the point that he should have been wearing it from the moment he got out of the truck, he became indignant and hostile when I asked him to wear a face mask. Telling me that his mask was in the truck. I informed him that I felt like my health and safety was at risk because of his lack of concern for wearing a facemask and he proceeded to tell me that he would take the package back if I didn’t like it. A very obvious bullying tactic that considering the package was already in my garage when he made the statement he knew that wasn’t going to happen.

    I still had to deal with him at this point because I still had to sign the paperwork and inspect the package, but he again became confrontational and told me that he should have left a package on the sidewalk. In light of the recent notification days prior that California COVID-19 cases were at an all time high and we were at risk of another lockdown in Los Angeles County, it didn’t matter to him and he knew that he had me in a very uncomfortable position of returning this toilet, even though I had a plumber scheduled to show up the next day to install it. He knew what he was doing. He was using his little bit of power in that moment in time to make my life difficult and I wasn’t gonna let him be that dime holding up a dollar. So I just ignored his ignorance on the matter and waited for him to leave.

    I consider his actions an assault on my person and I’m considering contacting Cal OSHA with my concerns regarding this individual and his company, RL Carriers.

    Now because of this experience with this company I have to ask every retailer I deal with who they use for their shipping and then I have to make allowances or changes if RL Carriers is the only option. I will not use this company again if it all possible. If it’s my only option I will have to insist that Arnel not be the driver. I will not sign again and deal with this individual. I will leave it at the curb like Arnel suggested.

    Reserved LTL freight shipping for a large piece- to be delivered to a customer. Reservation was scheduled for June 25, 2020 between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM. Of course it would be nice if people were communicative of a smaller window, but that part is what it is, I suppose. First called at 3:33 PM to see if the driver would magically appear in 27 minutes. Received a call from Michael, from the Jacksonville hub, at 4:17 PM to be updated that the driver was in New Smyrna Beach (minutes away from my location), and that the driver would arrive between 10 and 30 minutes. Forget that the phone call came after the latest pickup estimate, and that 10-30 minutes would be further from that allotted time.

    Next phone call I made was back to the Jacksonville hub (904-378-4840) at 6:14 PM, where I explained we were pretty far from that 10-30 minutes at this point and we are eating into my time/money. Michael was off shift and I spoke to James- who had just arrived for his shift at 6 PM. I was told he was going to look into the matter and receive a call back. James called me again at 6:41 PM to tell me that the driver had attempted to call me twice. When I explained I had received no phone calls, and asked which number he called, I was told that the number the driver called was the RECIPIENT NOT myself (shipper).

    At 6:42 PM, after waiting around ALL day, 2 hours and 42 minutes AFTER my allotted pickup time, I was told the driver would not be coming to pick up my parcel. I was then transferred to another hub who had customer service personnel still on staff. I explained that I have a prior engagement that could not be cancelled on 6/26/2020 and if they were going to make this right, I would need an AM pickup. I was told to call the Jacksonville hub between 7 and 8 because dispatchers arrive for their shift at that time.

    I called at 7:49 AM on 6/26, and to my dismay, no one seemed to know about this occurrence, and when transferred to dispatch, the phone just rang on forever until I just had to end the call. I have now cancelled my shipment and will not utilize this company moving forward. While on hold many times, the info pause boasts "World Class Service!" and "On YOUR time". This is laughable at best. Time IS money and my time was utterly wasted. My company should be compensated the 2 hours and 42 minutes spent outside the pickup window as my time, and the time of my company, is no less important that that of R & L Carriers. I've given my entire account of the situation of BOL # **. Should any social media/customer service personnel reach out in regard to this, unless you're prepared to pay the invoice for my time, I don't believe there is any restitution that would make me change this review.

    I purchased a safe online through Costco whom was very responsive throughout the delivery and purchase process, but I had no idea who R&L Carriers was. Unfortunately, the delivery was a disaster and they were rude, incompetent and liars. Had I known this was going to occur I would have paid for my own shipping rather than dealing with R&L. They left the safe on the highway intersection of my driveway since there was no curb for their "curbside delivery". It rained that evening and I struggled to find a way to get it to my house considering it weighed 710 pounds. I refuse to allow anyone of my friends or family suffer the experience I had with these rude, unprofessional and careless company employees.

    DO NOT USE!!! Bought a pool heater from a company in California. They contract to R & L for shipment. Delivery man got off the truck and had me sign for “receipt of item” before even opening the back of the truck. Brought the heater attached to a pallet into my garage. Box had, what looked like, very minor damage but didn’t think anything of it. Delivery man was nice and asked if I wanted the pallet otherwise he’d take it. I told him I’d be happy if he took it with him and he responded “don’t tell anyone at my company I did this for you.” Delivery driver drove away and I opened the heater and found the top was dented right by where the box damage was.

    I called the delivery driver's direct phone number (same number he called me with 10 minutes prior to delivery) and the driver said I had to call the freight company direct. Called and spoke with Hector who said if I signed the receipt then it’s “not their problem”. I wasn’t happy with this and spoke to the manager who said the same thing “it’s not their problem if I signed for it.” I explained how the driver had me sign before the back of the truck was even open and how he took the pallet (says right on receipt that they aren’t supposed to), and how the delivery driver drove off ASAP and the manager just laughed and said “it’s not my problem”. The rudest company I have ever dealt with and you can tell they’ve done this to people before.

    The pool company is taking care of the damage for me even though it wasn’t even their fault. That is how customer service is supposed to happen... Pretty much the exact opposite of R & L. Carriers. I’ll be leaving bad reviews on every type of social media possible. DO NOT USE R & L CARRIERS! Dishonest crooked company!!! Next stop is BBB.

    I ordered a safe on this past Tuesday, which shipped on Wednesday. I was contacted by Linda at R&L on Thursday morning stating that they had the safe and they were ready to schedule delivery for Friday. It wasn't scheduled to be delivered until the following week! The delivery driver, Sydney was awesome. Very friendly and accommodating. He even offed to place the safe in the garage instead of leaving it curbside. I'm not sure about all of the bad reviews R&L receives but this was not my experience with the carrier. From beginning to end they were nothing but professional and customer-oriented.

    Purchased an outdoor patio set which was delivered by R & L Carriers. Scheduling was a breeze with this carrier, and the day of delivery, received first a confirmation TEXT early in the morning, then a phone call confirming would be arriving in 15 minutes. ON TIME. Even though listed as a "Curb Side Delivery", the delivery person was extremely polite and friendly and a great assistance. I was sure to also notify the company that I bought the patio set from, how happy I was with their choice of delivery companies.

    Run, Use anyone, Fed/Ex. YRC, AAA COOPER, R&L in Miami is the WORST. They honestly have NEVER delivered on time or close to on Time, Today was the 3rd out of 4 times I have used them or someone else has sent me freight using them and Everytime the Freight has been misplaced or over looked, It always goes great until it reaches the Miami terminal, Then It goes missing,!!! Lost and always same excuse, We are backed up, Now remember this is same company that moved it across the country through busier terminals without a problem, THEY DONT EVEN KNOW IT'S THERE HALF THE TIME!!!! 4 days later!!!!

    My order number from them: **. They say their appointment is from 2 to 6pm. Then when I take a half day off to be at home from 2 to 6pm. They say I wasn't home and want to charge me $150 re-delivery fee. Then when I call the next day they say my delivery appointment was from 12- 4pm. Horrible horrible customer service. No wonder I buy from Amazon. This never happens! They are fraud! AVOID AVOID AVOID. Ikaika

    I will never use R+L Carriers for any business I conduct. Your drivers are the most disrespectful people I have ever met. I can't explain the disgust I felt from my experience with your employees. It is sad that something as simple as a delivery has to turn into an experience where I felt downright insulted. It's like the guy hated me for some reason before he even exchanged a word with me or laid eyes on me. Screw this company. Never again.

    I received a call to set up a appointment for delivery. I took off work so I can be home for the delivery. I called to track the delivery and find out that my package was still in Ohio, I live in Philadelphia. I don’t understand why would the representative call me to set up a appointment for Wednesday and when Wednesday get here they tell me my package is still in Ohio.

    Shipped a snack machine from Pennsylvania to Austin taxes. The 4000 snack machine is now worth nothing. The legs and door are completely broken and bent off and machine won't even turn on. The driver told me and quote "yaaaa.....it's probably been through over 15 trucks to get here...."

    I had a pallet of cabinets delivered. The cost of the RTA cabinets was owner $7k. I was instructed by the company I purchased from to verify that all products were there and note any discrepancies or damage on the drivers Freight bill BEFORE signing. As I was working quickly to verify all products were there, the driver said all I had to verify was that one pallet with 25 items was delivered. I said I was going to verify the contents and record any discrepancies and damage on his Freight bill. He said no, you aren’t writing anything on my paperwork.

    I said I wouldn’t sign his paperwork and he should just leave. He then said “you are just being a ** now.” I informed him I was not a ** and told him I was doing what I was instructed to do. To get him to leave I signed the paperwork and gave him a $20 tip. He did work hard, that’s what the $20 was for. I do hope this driver loses his job soon. Customers should Never have to be called names. Had he waited 5 minutes longer and allowed me to note on the paperwork what should have been noted, all would have been cool, he would have also gotten the $40 I was going to tip. Freight bill ** out of Baltimore Maryland location.

    After pickup was arranged I get a call from the driver and said he didn't want to drive into my development as there was a dead end, even though there are plenty of side streets to turn around and that I have received many tractor trailer deliveries directly to my house with no issues. This was all explained to the driver but he insisted he could not do it. I then had to load up my car with the freight, drive out to a a main road to meet the driver, then I unloaded my car.

    Out of the 6 packages that they gave me a receipt for only 5 were delivered. A claim was filled out with extensive backup of what was shipped, why it was shipped, how much I paid for it, its condition (new), invoices from original purchase, packing list from original purchase showing it was delivered to me and the BOL. They claim that because I could not produce a shipping receipt that was attached to the box from 6 months earlier from a different carrier, from when this material was sent to me, they could not honor my claim. I have requested that a supervisor or owner call me to discuss the issue to no avail. I would never recommend a company like this that when there is an issue with theIr service they will not even pick up a phone to discuss the issue.

    I ordered parts from a seller and they were shipped via R&L Carriers. They called to set up a delivery time. After waiting 5 hours for the delivery I called the terminal and they stated if I hadn't received it by then, it wasn't going to come. I stated I had been waiting all day and it needed to be delivered. They called the driver and he stated he didn't feel comfortable delivering to my location so he didn't deliver it. They put the driver on the line with me and he stated I could come get it from him. I asked for him to come closer and he stated no.

    I had to go pick it up, he made all kinds of excuses as to why he couldn't go there. Told him to save it, shut up, didn't need to hear the excuses. Charged full delivery fee, called to talk to the terminal manager and didn't get a return call. Poor customer service, poor service. Called the vendor and they approached R&L and they claimed it was he said, she said. They wouldn't do anything for them either. Vendor stated they were going to utilize a different shipper from then on! DO NOT USE R&L Carriers!!!!!

    Delivery guy was incredibly rude and refused to deliver package to the door. He left it outside in the driveway and then fought with me and the housekeeper. I called the company to complain and they said it wasn't a big deal and made it clear they couldn't have cared less about the outcome. Terrible, rude drivers and management that doesn't care. They left a 180 pound piece of exercise equipment basically on the street blocking the gate to the house. Absolutely unbelievable.

    I've seen some of the poor reviews and I must admit I was nervous that my expensive outdoor grill was being shipped from R L Carriers. Let me just say that my experience was the opposite. I was impressed by the professional phone call setting up a delivery date and time. The truck driver called asking for more specifics. Arrived in the first hour of the five hour window. The driver was a pro moving the big box truck around in my narrow lane and driveway. Once unloaded, not even a single sign of any damage. As a matter of fact, the shrink wrap was in mint condition. Very impressed upon opening everything to not see a single scratch. Impressive for a 350 lb grill that came from the other side of United States by truck!! They did a great job!!

    I purchased an item through a company that contracted R&L to provide delivery. I scheduled a day for them to deliver, which was eventually narrowed down to a 3 hour window. The day of delivery, this window came and went. No updates from R&L. I called support several times within an hour and was told both times that "the driver should be there in 10-15 minutes". This is also after I had been told the driver would call 30 minutes before arriving. When I questioned one of the support reps about this, their response was.... "Oh. Well he'll probably be there in 30 minutes or so." After waiting 1.5 hours past the window, I left.

    So I contacted the company that contracted R&L and let them deal with it. When the driver FINALLY arrived the NEXT DAY, he couldn't seem to figure out the best way to unload the package. He wanted to have me stop traffic on a busy 5-lane road so he could back out and unload in the turning lane. I had to show him a much easier way to unload. When the package was finally unloaded, a large corner of the crate was smashed, like it had been dropped or something had been dropped on it. Fortunately, the contents weren't damaged. I understand things don't always go as planned but the total lack of communication and absolute MIScommunication was staggering. No apologies or explanations were ever offered. I definitely won't be using R&L (or any companies that contract with them) again.

    I've seen so many bad reviews of R+L Carriers, just had to write because my experience was 5 Star and they deserve it. I placed an online order for a Garden Tractor on Wednesday, 8/7/2019.. It was shipped the same day.. I was given a tracking number and it was already picked up that evening by R+L. I was given a date of Monday, 8/12/2019 that it would reach the destination terminal. It did.

    The next day Tuesday, 8/13/2019, a driver called and said he was on his way to deliver our Garden tractor... and he arrived about 90 minutes later... He was very very nice, professional and careful unloading our Garden tractor and dropping it off on our property just off our rural road. It was in Perfect Condition. Couldn't be happier with the Great Shipping/Delivery Service and Care that R+L Carriers gave to us. They deserve to be recognized for the Great Shipping/Delivery Service they provide. I thank you all for a great experience. Wish I could add a few more stars **********- yes. You guys are a 10!!!

    I ordered a massage chair from Amazon, like a large recliner chair but with massage. Something I bought as a gift for myself. I was so excited! Long story short, the 300 pound chair was supposed to be delivered "inside the main entrance." Tuesday morning I see a humongous package pushed up against and blocking the only way that I can enter or exit my house AND blocking the access to the handicap ramp! No notice or even ringing the doorbell.

    Who the hell thinks it is appropriate to block an elderly handicapped person's only way of entry and exit or access to the handicap ramp??? I have been confined in my house for 2 full days. I finally had to call the police to graciously move the 300 pound chair! After the chair was pushed out the way and I could access the ramp, I noticed that the delivery person apparently had pushed the 300 pound chair all the way up the ramp and the whole ramp now has scratches all the way down it!! UNBELIEVABLE!! I wish that pics could be posted here.

    This company lies and tries to steal merchandise. They were supposed to deliver 2 items and only showed up with one. Then the low IQ driver claims he was only supposed to deliver 1 item until he looked at the packing slip. I called the customer service and the girl admitted that the 2nd item never got placed on the truck and is still sitting on the dock. She claimed that they would re-deliver them tomorrow and THEY NEVER SHOWED UP!

    Purchased a brand new wooden door from Door to Door and when it was shipped they delivered to my garage. We did not open because it was crated well we thought and it took our contractor a while to come to install the door. Once he and my husband opened the crate we found that the door was damaged and because it was a month later that we called in the claim they would not take responsibility. I sent in the claim with pictures of the damaged door and it was denied. I called and Mike ** said he didn't see how it could be their fault that it was damaged. Not sure how a brand new door could be delivered damaged and not their responsibility, but it seems to be. I would recommend that if you do have to use this company that you make sure you check out your shipment before they leave for damage because they do not take responsibility for their mistakes.

    Ordered a large pool and RL Carriers lost the package the day the driver picked it up. Over 1 week later they are still looking for the 3701b package, they lost this ruined my kids' vacation and have taken their sweet time looking for it. I even gave the dock manager an idea about looking at the truck computer because on their website it says their truck have computers in them with freight logs. Shouldn't these people be trained to know more about the company.

    As I was eagerly awaiting my package, R+L called to schedule delivery. I got a window of 10-6 that the delivery would be made. On the day of delivery, I called R+L to see the status of delivery (approx 15 minute call) and they said it can't make it today. But why was I not informed earlier? Things happen and I understand that. I got a second delivery date with a 11-3 window. Made arrangements for someone to be home on both instances to sign for package (wasted their time). Got a call at lunch time saying R+L would not be able to deliver again and needed to reschedule. At this point, I got frustrated but what else could I do? I asked the person on phone if I have any other choice and he said "Yes, if you want to wait till next week for the package" as opposed to the current week.

    So I scheduled the 3rd delivery date again and got a 11-3pm window again. This time being promised that I would be the first delivery in the morning. Fingers crossed, now time for me to wait for third attempt. I have contacted R+L customer service to inform them of what was going on. I would not use this company in the future for my shipping needs and will steer away from businesses that use R+L Carriers. Very disappointed.

    Purchased a generator from Rural King, supposed to be delivered by R+L Carriers. First they did not deliver it on the first day it was scheduled for delivery because they told me they don't work weekends, it was supposed to be delivered on a Friday. So rescheduled for Monday. When my schedule changed and I was unavailable when I tried to reschedule the delivery R+L phone staff were rude, unhelpful and acted as though I had done something wrong and this was terribly inconvenient for them, I had to call them back multiple times, issue is still unresolved and service manager is unavailable. I will now research who companies use for their shipping and will avoid anyone who uses R+L. I don't need to feel guilty about my purchases or that I am an inconvenience to a company whose services I have employed with money that I earned with my hard work. Sweat, blood. And tears. Thanks but no thanks.

    They had a driver that could not back up nor follow instructions. After reading reviews on this company I am unimpressed. They had our shipment for over a week and tried to deliver without contacting the main point of contact. To top it off their driver backed into our equipment!

    I never heard of this company before until they delivered my furniture. This guy named Marcos was super professional and friendly. This was heavy furniture. My husband was away (we did not expect it to be delivered this soon) and the weather was so hot, I feared the heat would damage the contents. Marcos made sure to leave the box under a shade and also reviewed the contents. Due to the weight one of the corners of the box was torn and he double checked to make sure it was just the box and asked me if I was ok with that. Thank you Marcos! I very happy customers here.

    On 04/29/2019 I was contacted by Liberty to set my delivery window, and I found her to be very professional and courteous. Chris, the driver was awesome! Right on time and very helpful. Placed my delivery right where I needed it, then went beyond by assisting me to get the pieces inside my gate, even though curbside was specified. My delivery could not have gone more smoothly, and I wanted to send some encouraging words on behalf of the R&L crew in SLC, UT. My parcels arrived without damage of any sort and the final act went just as I would have hoped. Well done, Liberty and Chris! I don't receive deliveries of this sort often, but if I ever do again, I'm hoping the shipper will specify R&L! Thanks Guys!

    I was charged after delivery a second time for residence delivery, because Google Map said address was residence (I wish she would tell the IRS I don't have a business). The county has this area zone agriculture, so I don't know how Google rates so high. They delivered a backhoe bucket and It was unloaded with a forklift. Hardly items people in a residential neighborhood keep in their garage. With all that info and a history of satisfied deliveries in the past, She still denied my claim. I always used R L when possible and actually paid more the YRC had quoted me because freight always comes damage free and no broken pallets. I don't believe it's a good business practice to insult and lose a loyal customer over $138.

    This company has the worse customer service and delivers broken items without any care of liability. They had me sign drop off release because I was not home

    And dropped off expensive shipment without original packaging all damaged. They refused to listen or reimburse me for my loss. Instead they told me to take legal action against them if I wanted to see any money back. This is how they roll. No ethical or legal obligation and no care for public opinion.

    Ordered Honda Accord body parts through RockAuto. There was only one shipping option for me to choose from and the cost was as much as the parts themselves. The bigger parts were shipped by R L Carriers and the smaller parts came FedEx. All shipments arrived promptly. However it was a couple weeks before I could get to the work. I never even opened the products as I wanted to keep them protected. That was my mistake. Turns out the 'points' of the hood (the corners that form a point that go up by the windshield) were bent over. One was bent over to nearly a right angle - clearly a mishap that results from dropping or carelessly tossing around - something you would expect from USPS. I've contacted both RockAuto and R L Carriers. Got automated response from Rock saying I waited too long and they can't help and I expect the same response from R L.

    After I scheduled my delivery earlier this week, I explicitly instructed their customer service rep. to contact my contractor (not me) to coordinate this delivery. They told me that they would call my contractor an hour ahead on the day of delivery to coordinate the delivery. They in fact did call him on the day of scheduled delivery and he told them that he would be waiting for the delivery until 4:00 pm, but the driver did not show up by that time. My contractor left for the day at 4:30 PM. Apparently the driver named Darryl called me instead of calling my contractor around 4:25 pm (several hours after the customer representative called my contractor). I did not have a chance to check my phone until 4:40 pm, but as soon as I did, I got the driver in touch with my contractor.

    My contractor told me that he told the driver that he is 20 minutes away from my house and asked Darryl to wait for him. My contractor told him and he and the crew working on my roof would help him to unload the truck. When I called the driver back to reiterate the plan, he started yelling at me telling me that the crew working on the roof refused my delivery, which is not true per my contractor. They just told him to wait a few minutes for my contractor. He did not call me or my contractor when he arrived. When I tried to reason with the driver to come back as he was only 5 minutes away from my house at the time I called him, he started yelling and screaming at me accusing me of calling him a liar, which I did not. I then called their Oakland, CA customer service to complain, but the only thing they offered me is to re-schedule my delivery.

    I then asked to speak to a supervisor and was transferred to Dave who I found to be one of the most rude and abrasive customer "service" workers I've ever encountered in my life. He was dismissive. He insisted that the driver called both me and my contractor when she arrived at my house even though my cell phone record points to the contrary. He kept mansplaining to me that there are always "two sides to the story”, and eventually called me a disgruntled customer. He eventually allowed me to re-schedule my delivery for Monday between 2:00 and 6:00 PM and told me that the morning hours I asked for are not available for my delivery. I would rate my experience as 0 if given the option. Horrible experience. Not acceptable. It's pretty unbelievable how they manage to stay in business with their "tow-truck" company mentality.

    Stereotypically equivalent to tow truck drivers...and that's the people answering the phone and passing you around the office. They are definitely not trained to increase business in their approach to dialog. They make promises they don't keep and pass the buck onto the old "somebody" was supposed to. I definitely wouldn't use them and didn't use them. They were chosen to ship to me.

    A vendor used R+L Carriers to ship me a very carefully and robustly crated item in two boxes marked clearly as FRAGILE and NO FORKLIFT. One box had clearly had a rough ride - it looked like it had fallen off the truck end first, crumpled like an accordion. The contents were destroyed so I refused delivery. The vendor then sent a replacement which I chose to pick up at R+L's facility to eliminate a touch point, thinking it might reduce the chance of damage. No luck. Despite the NO FORKLIFT stickers, they actually brought the items out to me **on a forklift**. Immediately from 50' away I could see a gaping hole in one of the boxes, a big chunk of cardboard box flapping in the breeze. On closer inspection, I could put my entire arm through the hole into the box. I wish I had thought to take a picture of that. Of course the contents were damaged this time also.

    I've only described a portion of the damages. There was much more. Nobody apologized. The forklift driver's only comment was "it wasn't me". To them it was just business as usual - or defensiveness. Note in this forum they only respond to positive reviews, not the numerous negative reviews. Either they don't care or don't know what to do. The vendor told me this morning they've had this problem with R+L in two other states and is dropping them. Lousy shipping company. Read the other reviews here. I don't know if it's poor hiring, poor training, lousy culture, bad procedures, lousy management, or all of the above, but R+L has some serious problems that they're not addressing.

    Bad management, terrible service, we lost hundreds of shipments and hundreds of customers because of R L recklessness in handling shipments and dealing with customers. Stay away from them at any cost, they might be in the cheaper level but so is the service you will get, worst carrier. We finally stopped them after losing thousands of dollars because of them.

    I see a lot of bad reviews out there so I thought I would share mine. The shipping was fast for this time of year. My freight showed up at the terminal at 8:05am yesterday and I had an email from them at 8:55am asking me to call them to set up a delivery time. It was set for between noon and 5:00pm today. The truck showed up at 2:00pm with a very friendly driver that put my freight where I wanted and was on his way. In my opinion, there is no way this transaction could have went any smoother than it did.

    Updated 03/04/2019: Well we are now over 2 weeks out since R L gave my freight to a 3rd rate pathetic shipping partner and completely lost it. They have lied about the process until each of those stories were debunked. Now we are down to the blame game and pointing fingers back at the original shipper as needing to replace the freight. R L has offered nothing but incompetence throughout the whole process and now basically seem to be holding out that their hopes and prayers of finding my package will work.

    Original review: Not only has my freight not been delivered in a timely manner, it appears to have been passed off to another freight company who has completely lost it. I have gone round and round with multiple versions of the story for days now. First it was held at terminal that was closed due to weather (but then was proven to never have been there at all). Then it was split up and partially delivered to its last terminal before delivery, and that it would be delivered the following business day. Then the story became that this terminal was also closed and that was the problem (until I contacted that terminal and found out they had never been closed) Then that business day came and went, and the story changed a few more times.

    After a good solid 48 hours of either completely incompetent misinformation or outright direct lies, no one still has any clue where my freight is. This is the absolute worst freight company experience I have ever had. I will make it a point to establish whether a company plans to use R&L Carriers before ever purchasing something again, and will gladly pay more to avoid this company at any cost.

    My packages was expected to be delivered on a Thursday. The packages arrived at the facility near my home on a Tuesday and according to the tracking, I was going to be contacted to schedule a delivery. I never received a call from them so I decided to call them myself. The person I spoke to was very rude and told me they called me and left a voice message, which I never received. Then they told me they weren’t able to deliver until 4 days later and now I’m without my parts, which I had prepare to work with for the weekend. This was a very frustrating experience. I will never recommend them and I’d advise anyone to avoid them.

    Delivery of wheelchair - I had a completely pleasant experience with R+L Carriers. They were polite, helpful and courteous. They set up a delivery appointment. Driver called a half hour before they came. Driver was respectful and helpful. Made sure I was satisfied with my cargo before he left. Only 4 stars because the tracking system in their app could use some refreshing, other than that I would not hesitate to recommend or use this company again.

When I explained the circumstance for the delivery, the person on the phone did not acknowledge the challenge, bowled right over it and asked the same question again in way that clearly stated they did not care and were not willing to work with their clients.     I bought a single wall oven from US Appliance and shipping was through R&L Carriers. I shivered after reading the reviews of R&L. However, my experience could not have been better. I was called immediately after my oven arrived at the terminal, set up an appointment for next day residential delivery with a window of 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Driver contacted me at 3:15 p.m. and said he would be here in 15 minutes. Driver arrived at 3:30 p.m., carefully unloaded my wall oven from the truck to ground level and then (without me asking) sat it inside my garage, used my box cutter to open the box for a full inspection. No damage whatsoever to appliance or packaging. Most people who have good experiences don't leave reviews, only those who are pissed off. My experience was great and I hope this review helps ease some anxiety for others. Thanks R&L for a timely and trouble free delivery of my beautiful white single wall oven!

    IF I could give them half a star I would. The truck was supposed to show up on Tuesday. I paid helpers to come help me unload the truck and also rented a forklift. I also had two of the franchisers come to help us get the store set up. They had to fly in and were on a tight schedule. The time the truck was supposed to be here was between 8-11 am. I waited until 11 and then called to see what the hold up was. The guy told me he would find out and let me know "quickly". 1 pm rolls around and still no word so I call and the guys says he hasn't found out yet but will let me know. It is 4 pm when he calls and says that the guy was sick and called in today. That someone else would get the truck from him and that they would be here first thing the next day. So then wed rolls around and the driver calls me and says that is about 30 min away. This is at 8 am.

    10 rolls around and I call his number over and over and no answer so I call the company again and they say they will call me back. So then at 12 pm the guy shows up and I of course ask him why it took so long to which he starts to CUSS ME OUT and tell me it was too hard to find and that it’s all my fault. Total with labor and rental fees I spent 1500 dollars waiting on these guys for no reason. So when this is all over, the guy has the nerve to tell me he is going to take 100 dollars off the bill. After all I lost because of these guys, I thought Maybe I could get a little more help than that. Now they are threatening to take me to court and are saying they won’t even take the 100 off anymore. I can’t believe that a company can treat people this way. It is absolutely absurd. Do not spend money with them.

    Just a disappointing experience all round. Unhelpful and discourteous. The company wanted to leave our item outside of our gate and refused outright to bring it to the house. Phone calls are direct to the driver, again, unhelpful and discourteous, initially refusing to give his name so that I could contact the company. Ultimately the minimum the company could get away with was dropping a pallet 75 yards from my house and that's exactly what they did, despite the fact I took time off work to be home and open the gate for them. Disappointing and I won't use the company again.

    Why you NEVER hear from satisfied customers... Because unfortunately happy customers don't usually take the time to write about their GOOD experiences. As a business owner that now uses R L Carriers exclusively to ship our custom made sports wheelchairs, and have so for the past 10 or so years, we couldn't be happier with the service that R L provides us and our customers. R L has shipped WELL over a thousand shipments for us to date and each and every one has arrived to our customer in perfect condition, which being that each one is custom made is paramount.

    We are lucky to have a great R L rep (Jason) that will quickly respond to our e-mails and always returns phone calls promptly. He will quickly handle any issue or answer any logistic questions we may have. After reading all of the negative reviews, I thought it only fair to hear from a very happy customer with many issue-free R L shipments, rather than customers that had ONE bad experience.

    Ordered all appliances from Goedeker's in St Louis, Mo. Included stove, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator, and clothes dryer and washer. Goedeker's shipped all but the refrigerator after 7 weeks because the refrigerator was still back ordered. At delivery R&L dispatcher called and made arrangements. I told them we had places to turn around. Driver arrived and was a **! Told me they should not deliver to my house. He did, and found a nice, wide, hard packed, and gravel, driveway to turn around in. No problem. There were actually 2 driveways, the same road base, that could have been used, plus a hard surfaced clay area he could also have used.

    Several weeks later he called and refused to deliver my refrigerator because of my location. Long story short, after talking with R&L's corporate and local office, and Goedeker's customer service, I was told I'd have to drive down to the highway and meet the driver and pickup my refrigerator. What are old people to do when these businesses and delivery companies refuse to deliver to our homes? At least to the road where we can obtain with a two wheeler. Does everyone have a truck or trailer to do their work. What about old people who have to get heavy loads off a trailer or truck? I'm 68 and too old to be doing their work. I can't move heavy refrigerators off a pickup or trailer. I'll never use these people again, especially the driver who serves Clarkrange, Tn.

    I have a package that should’ve been delivered days ago. I call and keep being told they will call today to set up time, but after several days of calling I still do not have a delivery scheduled. I’m told it’s been at the local terminal for days, but no delivery or info on when. Customer service just keeps saying soon and will contact me, but never happens. Delivery will definitely miss the Christmas deadline I paid for and still no idea if I will ever get it.

    I was set to receive a delivery from R&L Carriers on Tuesday (12/4/18) and was told to call the day off to get an exact time window. The day of expected delivery I called early to ensure delivery and receive an estimated window. I was given a time between 10:30 am and 12:30 pm and also told my delivery would be the first stop. Satisfied with this answer I proceeded to wait at home. As my work is not close to my home I had to request to work from home for the first half of the day from my manager and come in later. I also had my wife take my kid to daycare on her way to work which she doesn't typically do as it is out of her way.

    My estimated delivery window proceeded to come and go with no notice from R&L. Finally, two hours after the estimated delivery window I decided to contact the office I had called earlier in the morning to check the status. At this point I was told that my delivery would not be completed with no reason as to why. I was asked to reschedule for the next day which I was unable to accommodate. I ended up scheduling for two days later.

    On Thursday (12/6/18) my wife was home for the first half of the day but had an appointment later. When I rescheduled my delivery date I was told my package would arrive between 9 am and 12 pm which worked with my wife’s schedule. The day came and went without so much as a call from R&L. I was so fed up with the situation I didn’t even try to call again to check on status. I never received a call or notice on Thursday or Friday. It wasn’t until the following Monday that I finally received a voicemail stating I needed to reschedule.

    Upon calling I was not given any details of why my shipment didn’t arrive or any apology for what was now 2 missed deliveries. I was asked to reschedule for delivery the next day. When I inquired why I should actually expect the package to arrive on this day as they already missed two deliveries I was told that the driver would give me a call an hour before delivery so I could get home from work. As I mentioned previously, my work is not particularly close to my home but I was without other options so I accepted the situation.

    Tuesday (12/11/18) my package finally arrived, a full week after my original expected delivery. Other than the driver calling 30 minutes before delivery instead of an hour as expected the delivery went smoothly. In the end it took R&L a week and a half, 3 delivery dates, and 9 separate phone calls by me to R&L to get my package that was a 20-minute drive away. This type of service is unacceptable. The motto of a delivery company should not be third time's the charm. Please improve your service R&L.

    Parcel delivered last Tuesday by R+L arrived severely damaged. Parcel was professionally packaged and labeled. Visible damage to contents from exterior. Appeared parcel had been dropped many many times and grossly mishandled. Damage to packaging suggested contents now junk. Driver asked if I wanted to accept delivery and negotiate a new price with vendor. I wisely rejected the delivery. Reordered via vendor/Build.com. Vendor said it would expedite replacement item/parcel. Somehow that didn't happen nor was the parcel received yesterday/Friday as vendor said it would be.

    Received a call from R+L yesterday/Friday agreeing to be home today/Saturday between 8 am and 2 pm as replacement parcel would be delivered then. Waited 6.5 hrs & no parcel delivery. Called R+L, placed on hold for 15 minutes, spoke with R+L rep and was told my parcel arrived late in Dallas and never made it out for a Saturday delivery. I was informed terminal now closed & no one there to talk to. Explained to R+L I was NOT please with their customer service and scheduling ethics. Also, R+L website on Saturday only showed parcel had shipped last Wednesday. And, no web updates per that delivery. R+L agent agreed website not accurate. Again, misleading info presented to customer.

    My time is valuable too me. R+L should have contacted me early this morning to reschedule rather than waste my time waiting for a delivery that they knew was NOT GOING TO HAPPEN TODAY. During this writing I received a call from R+L/Anaheim (?) saying my delivery would NOT BE MADE today and for me to call Monday to reschedule.

    How much faith should I place on their Monday delivery reschedule call is anyone's guess. Then too, after wasting my time today R+L is asking me to contact them, whereby, I could be placed on hold for who knows how long. I suspect when I call on Monday, I will be told that the Monday deliveries are already on the road and Tuesday's delivery truck is too full. Certainly and MOST DEFINITELY NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER. R+L is not a company interested in CUSTOMER SERVICE, following their schedule or careful parcel delivery.

    I learned something valuable ordering my daughter's Christmas present this year. I learned to ask if R L Carriers is the only option for shipping and to never buy from that seller again if that is the case. 5 missed deliveries and counting, I am still waiting and at this point just hoping we get it by Christmas. Of these 5 I was only contacted once to tell me the delivery would not be made, meaning I have missed work and costs of this item have gone way up as a result. I wonder how these people would feel if I wasted their time and money the same way they waste their customers' time and money. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, if not for your wallet then for your sanity.

    I purchased the generator on eBay like one of the review in here. Unfortunately, the seller is using R L Carriers as their shipper. They called me and give the appointment time Friday 12/07/08 from 10 - 2 PM. Today, I called R L Carriers to confirm the appointment so I can stay home to sign the package. Their customer service told me that the package attempted to delivery on Wednesday 12/05/18 and also made up the story that someone refused to sign the package. That's a lie. No one is at home at that time. I have security camera install around the house. I should know someone come to my house for delivery or not. Now, the customer service told me the package return to terminal and won't work with me to solve the problem. I don't know what's wrong with the lady customer service. She screamed over the phone to talk to me. Man, that's one of the rudest customer service I have ever deal with.

    R+L email statement: "To expedite the process, we would like to set up an appointment date for delivery. Call our SAN DIEGO, CA facility at 858-638-0085 Utilize Reference Pro-number. Below are the available days/time we can deliver your merchandise. Our Customer Service will work with you to coordinate a convenient window time for delivery. Thank you very much.". I called to schedule but they give me a one-time delivery time of Monday 12/3 between 10-2pm, take it or leave it. I asked to schedule a different time but they said they no. Their email statement is meaningless if they only give one delivery date and time on their terms. Furthermore, they said they'd call one hour before delivery and they did not call. Normally, no one would be present to receive the delivery but luckily my wife was home from work to have her vehicle tires replaced. The merchandise was delivered at about 1:30 pm anyway.

    I ordered a generator on eBay. The shipper, R+L Carriers called me shortly after my order was placed. We agreed on a date and time for my item to be delivered. Wednesday Nov. 28th before 12 noon. We set this up because I work days with an ambulance transport co. R+L also asked me if a tractor trailer would fit down my road. I can't make this conversation up. They were to call 11/28 am to confirm I would be there to sign the shipping order. They didn't call as of 10:00 am that day, so I called them. I was told my item was loaded on the front of the truck and wouldn't get to my house before 12 noon, probably by 5:00 pm. I explained to them WE HAD AN AGREEMENT TO BE DELIVERED BEFORE 12 NOON!

    I went further to explain I would have to take off the afternoon to be there for an afternoon delivery. This would cost me $50.00! I explained I worked 37 years loading and unloading tractor trailers. I would help the driver move pallets around to get to my generator! I can't afford to lose $50.00! WE HAD AN AGREEMENT! Neither the eBay seller autocaredepot, nor R+L would offer a refund. I suggested to both, maybe split the $50.00. All I received from both was a cold "sorry I can't help you"! I paid over $600.00 to the seller with free shipping. Neither cared about customer satisfaction after they received my money! I gave autocaredepot a negative feedback ON EBAY. My generator arrived after 3:00 and before 5:00. I had to stay home and lose $50.00 pay! I didn't have an option who was shipping my item. Please look at the reviews left here before me. Now I am warning the public... DO NOT DO ANY BUSINESS WITH R+L CARRIERS! They lie!

    I ordered a log splitter on the Internet. The company selling a log splitter used R L Carriers to deliver to me. They say to call R L Carriers now for shipping details and the dispatcher only knows very limited details about your shipment. Then will not give you a time when it should arrive at distribution center for delivery and then finally tells me it will be delivered yesterday afternoon but never shows up so I call again and get the runaround how it never made it to the distribution center and tells me again it will be delivered tomorrow but never shows up so I call again and still no delivery date. This company is horrible. I will never use them again.

    I asked the driver of R L to place the delivery at curbside and he became angry and belligerent because he could not turn around. He threatened to take the merchandise back unless I backed my truck next to his. He then took the pallet jack in a fit of anger and smashed the pallet into my truck, deliberately

    and damaged my brand-new truck. All of this is captured on surveillance camera. I emailed this event to the dispatcher without resolution. My attorney will be contacting your company. I also notified the shipper terminating any further business with them due their choice of trucking companies.

    I know one star is low but this company R L Carriers don't deserve one star. The worse customers service. They lie on the price to have a delivery. I cannot explain how awful this place is. I have never had to deal with such liars as these people are. I was told to have a delivery done for $248.98 and this was the quote after talking to three different customers service representative and when the item arrived the driver said on the invoice for the delivery $374.98. Lesson learn in any purchase you do online check the reviews before dealing with any company. But please make sure it's not R L Carriers don't be one you use. Horrible business!

They knew the exact specifications for weight and miles to travel before picking it up, and basically stole it from me. I was selling it online for the same amount they wanted to charge me to ship!     I ordered a large item online and really didn't have a choice of carriers as the merchant handled the shipping. R&L contacts me to set up the delivery. They give me a 4 hour delivery window which is ridiculous in itself but 90 minutes after the supposed delivery time I called to see the status. I encountered probably the rudest most arrogant bunch of customer service representatives I have probably ever encountered. I wouldn't waste time as a merchant or an individual shipping your items with this horrible carrier. The shipping industry in general is pathetic but this group of morons takes the cake. Don't say I didn't warn you!

    This is the worst company I have ever encountered. The driver couldn’t find my house and drove around my neighborhood continuously. He wouldn’t let me give him directions and then refused to deliver my furniture. When I called the company to speak with a supervisor he was no help and had a terrible attitude.     I was concerned due to the reviews that I saw online that my large Skutt Ceramic Kiln would arrive damaged, that turned out to not be the case. Package arrived on time, undamaged, and with a helpful driver. Upon arrival to my downtown home, with the special R+L lift gate truck, the driver unloaded my kiln pallet, a load of over 500lb. This was the end of what a normal driver under these circumstances is required to do. Unfortunately this would have left a $5,000.00+ kiln sitting in my gravel parking area, with rain on the way. He volunteered to help me get it into a safer location, so, between the two of us, we succeeded in getting the shipping pallet up onto my porch and out of the potential rain. So, I decided to up R+L's average rating with this 5 star review, I hope the rest of you have as good an experience as I did.

    I do not know why my company uses this company- they have to be the worst ever! Takes them two days from LA to San Diego, we put on the BOL early delivery, when I call the terminal they tell me they do not read the BOL's-What the heck? If I were running this place I would be embarrassed with their service and not caring attitude! Stay away from these people. Use FedEx, maybe more money but well worth it and you aren't risking a your relationship with your customer. If I were able to give them a zero I would- there are many more reliable companies.

    I shipped a large crate with this company to Utah from Atlanta. I dropped the crate off myself and the guys in Atlanta unloaded it like pros. I felt pretty good about its odds. Upon arriving in Utah, one side of the crate was missing and of all things, the well packed computer with extremely expensive software is missing. The driver tells my customer to write "subject to inspection" on the delivery papers since he did not know if anything was missing. He took pictures of the damage and called me right away. As it turns out, by signing for it even with the driver's instructions on how to handle it, he basically negated any claim I have for the damage according to their insurance people.

    Of course I protested with the pics and evidence and they agreed to revisit the case. If this weren't going to cost me $8000 to replace I would not be so irate, but that's a lot of money to me. Today I received a formal offer to settle for $43. That's barely enough to cover the sheet of plywood that was ripped off the crate. I would be very careful sending something of value with this company. It cost me over $1000 for this disaster and they offered me $43. Needless to say I will be contacting an attorney. Not sure there is much I can do, but I am damn sure going to find out. The damage to the crate was enough to snap a 2x4 support so to say it was mishandled is an understatement. Take my advice, go elsewhere.

    Every purchase order I write explicitly says "not to ship R&L". I am currently waiting on a piece of equipment which was supposed to arrive 5 days ago. The tracking website showed that it arrived two days ago, and is now showing that it is still two states away. When I called to figure out where my equipment is, they told me that they had lost it and just found it sitting in a warehouse somewhere. This has happened countless times over the last couple years. I called customer service to explain that this is holding up the construction of an entire building, and per their usual, their rude customer service rep told me that there was nothing they could do and I would get my delivery when I get it.

    So it only takes 29 hours to get from Chicago to Oregon and my current order left on Sept 26th, 2018 and it won't be here till Oct 3rd, 2018. Good Lord I could have drove there and back in that time and had a days to spare, and that's only driving 8 hours a day. On top of that my first order was two pallets. They brought me the small pallet with 2 items and lost the huge pallet. I could see missing something small maybe but the majority of my order. Not to mention, they obviously do not look at their paperwork. Then they got snotty with me when I got upset because they couldn't find it. After all it only took them two weeks to get here with the first pallet. Maybe if they took the direct route and didn't dilly dally they would make it in a reasonable amount of time.

    On September 26, 2018 at 3:34 pm on 71 South Plate #** ran my family’s vehicle off the road. I was bringing my children home from school when this driver in his semi quickly began to merge in my lane. He wasn’t looking and didn’t stop. I had to grab my wheel and yank my car off the road on the highway traveling 65 Miles an hour! Being in a semi he was also clearly speeding and switched lanes multiple times quickly after the incident. I’m not exaggerating when I say it was terrifying. I would not suggest important items be sent via this company for it will delay delivery. Also what company hires these types of drivers. I hope this reaches someone that can let this driver's superiors know so he can be let go. Please get him off the road before he kills someone.

    I ordered some chairs & they were delivered in perfect condition by a friendly driver. I was concerned after reading some reviews but I know most people only leave negative reviews. The only reason I removed 1 star was because 1 of the boxes was torn but it did not affect the product. The delivery was also made 3 days earlier than expected. Great job!

    Promised delivery between 10-2 on 2 separate days for same delivery and got partial order at 7pm, keep on trucking R+L, they also sent the rest of my order to Phoenix, AZ and I live in Roanoke, VA area 24064, and they can't tell me when I can expect the rest of my order and at least another day out of work. As far as I can tell many more...they called me a couple days before to schedule delivery. Gave me a time window between 10-2 and called me around 1:30 to reschedule for Monday. I said, "Ok things happen" so again I was told 10 -2 and receive a partial order at 7pm. What more can I say.

    Driver upset that he had to actually take item off truck, curbside delivery was specified. To him that meant my wife had to unload a 300lb pallet by herself. When we refused, driver dumped item in the street and left - did not ring doorbell, did not even verify if he was at the correct address. Absolutely ridiculous - will never allow them to deliver to me again.

    I just received shipment of a cast iron wood cookstove, weighing 650 pounds, delivered by this company. Reading some of the other reviews, I now understand why the stove company advised me in BOLD TYPE to inspect the stove prior to accepting delivery, and if the driver didn't allow it to note that on the form before signing. The driver was anxious, saying he was only allowed 10 minutes per delivery, so I see this as a company problem. But he allowed me to open the cardboard box for the part that was packaged that way, and to look carefully at the stove through the plastic it was wrapped in.

    I didn't want to remove the wooden crate because I'll be storing it for some time, so hopefully won't discover any problems when I finally do install it -- but the crate was in excellent shape, so I don't see how the stove could have been damaged. The driver went above & beyond, backing through a narrow gate (with mere inches on each side!) into my backyard and rolling the stove into a shed, even knowing that he might be reprimanded for going the extra mile for us.

    Driver just left over $1000 worth of merchandise on my driveway, knocked on door then just drove off without getting required signature for delivery. Delivered outside of specified time frame. Driver did not care that he didn't signature. Luckily merchandise was not stolen from my driveway. Do not use carrier.

    I received a shipment of light fixtures that were badly damaged. They were clearly repackaged with cardboard wrapped around them and taped up. Boxes were torn opened and fixtures badly damaged. The truck driver and an electrician inspected the shipment and the driver wrote down the phone number to call for damage claims. A claim report was filled out, sent in and denied. A phone call was made, was told to send in picture of damage which I did. Despite all this I received a letter denying my claim but offering in goodwill $35.00 for restitution for damage exceeding $400.00. It seems there is nothing a person can do. I wonder how often they do this?

    An order was placed for rolls of paper to be delivered to our offices for our business plotter. We have placed orders before and they have always been brought inside and dropped off in our copy room. This is the first time we have issues with our paper delivery and it was because Canon Solutions used R L Carriers for our shipment. R L Carriers had our rolls of paper just sitting around in their storage for days and when they were finally delivered, their delivery man was angry and rude, he had a terrible attitude as if he hated the job (was probably having a bad day but that was not our fault), he came in complaining that an indoor delivery had not been requested, that we had not paid for it so he was just going to leave our stuff out in the hallway.

    And so he did, he just left our rolls of paper sitting on a palate out in the hallway outside of our office. We did not try to contradict him at any point in time, maybe he was right and we were at fault for not requesting an in-door delivery or whatnot, but there is no excuse for his bad attitude and behavior. We were not trying to force him to do anything or impose anything at all. He was just plain rude.

    This company was contracted to deliver a very large grill from Dallas, TX to Los Angeles. I paid $540 for the shipping. The grill was misrouted to Atlanta, GA. It was then re-routed to Los Angeles, where it was routed back to Atlanta! They called me twice to schedule delivery and then had to call back and cancel because the grill wasn't anywhere near Los Angeles. I want at least a partial refund of my $540 but I bet I won't get it.

    A company I work with used R+L to ship 3 boxes and a 300 lb crate from Indiana to Arizona (ASU campus). Nothing too unmanageable, or at least I thought. Big mistake. It took 3 weeks for the shipment to arrive, and when it gets here, the crate is busted up, and the 3 boxes are missing! I call R+L, hoping to sort things out, but that doesn't seem like it's going to pan out well: as soon as I mention the missing boxes, the customer service representative tried to convince me that all of the boxes somehow got put into the crate, despite the Bill of Lading saying otherwise.

    When I ask her why they would be in the crate and listed separately on the Bill of Lading, she shifts stories, saying "well... those boxes are small" (as if they're easily lost -- red flag). She insists that I'm wrong in an awful tone, and laughs at me for expecting all of my shipment to come -- she explicitly told me "that's not our responsibility." Never once was there an apology or any attempt at sympathy. The customer service I received felt hostile and truly shocked me. If you plan to use R+L, I think you can expect the same.

    Next thing I do is contact the company and confirm with them that ALL of the packages were loaded on the truck (big surprise, because that's what the Bill of Lading shows). With this info, I then get the ASU Shipping Manager to call R+L, and he gets told a different story! As if it weren't known before, the service rep now informs us that the notes attached to the shipment show that the packages got split up. Apparently, they don't know where the split-up occurred (though they're looking into it). I was never informed of any split-up, and when I called to inquire about the missing packages, I was lied to. If you plan to use R+L, I think you can expect the same.

    They don't seem to keen on helping me locate the missing boxes. My guess is that they were destroyed in whatever accident busted up my crate, and that when they say they're looking for them now, they are lying to me again. I sincerely hope this isn't taken in bad faith, but it's simply based on the fact that I was already lied to about the packages being lost.

    If my packages are found, then I'll amend my review. In defense of R+L I have heard good things about the PHX branch and I know ASU uses them often, so this could be the fault of a negligence on the part of a different branch or specific driver/warehouse employee. However, look up the Consumer Affairs reviews on the company, and you'll see that the level of service matches what I received -- or is much worse!! I'm sorry to leave this review, but my experience is that I paid over $1,500 to have my merchandise damaged and lost, and be lied to about it. If you plan to use R+L, I think you can expect the same. I strongly suggest you use any other company for your freighting needs.

    Shooters Sports Bar & Grill place an order for two fryers to be delivered on Friday, June 15, 2018. Much time and effort was spent planning for the seamless arrival of the new fryers and removal of the old fryers so that the impact to operations would be minimized. At least half of profits come from food – almost every plate served has something on it that was made in a fryer. It was planned that when the fryers arrived, they could be cleaned, connected and in use within a 2 hour window.

    Friday comes and goes. No delivery. We called the Baltimore office of R & L shipping, and we are told that we will be the first delivery on Saturday, no one can tell us what happened to our scheduled Friday delivery. First delivery on Saturday is at 730 a.m. We are told that we would receive a phone call 30 minutes prior to delivery. Saturday - An employee arrives at 7:30 a.m. to wait on delivery. No phone call from delivery driver. 8:56 a.m. call was placed to R & L at 410-609-2370 – no answer. 8:57 a.m. – 9:02 a.m. Internet search for additional contact information for R & L. 9:03 a.m. call was placed to 1-800-543-5589. Customer service informed us that our delivery window was 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. 12:00 p.m. – No call. No delivery. Business open for the day. Our weekend hours are 12:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m.

    12:05 p.m. Call was placed to 1-800-543-5589. Customer service reached out to delivery driver who said that he was at Shooters Sports Bar & Grill between 7:30-7:45 a.m. and no one was there. After reviewing video – employee was there at exactly 7:30 a.m. Left the hatch back of her car open so that it would be obvious that someone was there. Driver is in Virginia. Can’t possibly deliver before 3:00 p.m. 3:24 p.m. No call. No delivery. (All the while refusing business because we don’t have fryers.) 3:24 p.m. call was placed to 1-800-543-5589. Customer service reached out to driver once again. He is about 30 minutes away, stuck in traffic.

    4:23 p.m. FINALLY! DELIVERY of FRYERS! Driver questioned about his whereabouts between 7:30 and 7:45 a.m. since we had an employee on site – he claims he was there. Driver speaking with another Shooters employee said that maybe he was earlier than 7:30 a.m. What happened to our Friday delivery? What happened to the phone call we were promised? Why should we incur additional costs of having an employee arrive 4 hours earlier than normal to wait on delivery and the cost of lost business?

    I had the worse experience ever from this company. I ordered stuff from Costco and when the item arrived I told the delivery man if I can refuse the item because it is not what I expected and the dispatcher said I can’t refused the item and I had to sign to accept it and when I called Costco they said it is not true I can always refuse the delivery. So I request the return and R L suppose to come to pick up the item and they never show up on the schedule date. I called them again and they told me they will come on Tuesday and they never show up again. I wasted two days waiting for them.

    I spoke with dispatcher and her name is Teresa and she was so so rude. She told me she can’t give me the timeframe for pick up and just leave the item outside my house. I was instruct to have R L to sign the paperwork before they pick up the items. She said, "Just change the company if you are not happy with it." The lady name’s Teresa in Manchester, NH kept saying that they are behind schedule for four days and I said I don’t mind waiting but I need to know when they are going to pick up and I don’t want them to not show up to their appointment. I hope I can change the carrier. I already contacted Costco if they can change pick up service from R L. Very very rude and poor customer service. They lied to me about not able to refuse the order and they lied about the pickup date. Very dishonest people. Stay away from this carrier!!!

    R L were to deliver an AC condenser and air handler on Monday. Monday morning they said they would deliver the pallet between 10-2. At 2 I called ( on hold for 15 min) they said delivery would be made by 4:15. Got a call at 3:30 saying the driver would not be able to drive down my street because his truck was too big, but call and we could meet somewhere to close to transfer (I have receive many deliveries off of tractor trailers in the past). Called his number to arrange delivery but no answer. Called R L and they said they would reschedule for following day on a smaller truck. One completely wasted day! Tuesday, call in the morning to confirm delivery. No exact time could given but assured it would be delivered in the morning.

    At noon called (20 minutes on hold) and was told delivery would be between 1-2:30. At 2:30 a dispatcher calls and says "on his way". Truck shows up at 3:15. Upon inspection the pallet had been smashed into by forklift and unacceptable due to damage done in shipping. BTW, the driver was asking I sign for the delivery before I had a chance to inspect it. 2nd wasted days due to their incompetence AND no delivery of products ordered. Called the vendor and am trying to get a new shipment. R L are a major waste of time. Given any choice in the future I will refuse to use their service. Worst experience ever!

    I'm surprised there have been so many negative reviews on this site. My company does about 350 LTL shipments with R&L each month and have over 99% on time deliveries & less than 1% claims. Customer service is excellent and usually does what they can to help. The industry as a whole is having issues and will continue to have more issues over the next year. Maybe it is different for us as we are a big customer, but I've found with working with 15 different carriers over 10 years that your rep. makes all the difference. R&L goes above and beyond constantly. Most of the issues I've seen on previous reviews are issues that every carrier has and will continue to have. People need to understand that they aren't the only person shipping or receiving products. Thanks R&L and especially the Romulus terminal.

    I was waiting for a delivery. It was to be delivered on the 4th of June. Did not arrive. Then I called R L. They told me it would be delivered by 5 P.M. On the 5th, Did not show. I called on the 6th and they said it was a estimated time. Then they said it would be there by early afternoon. It did not show up till 3 pm on the 6th. There is no customer service as far as I see it. I will never use or recommend them to anyone.

    My experience with R L Carriers: Let just start off by saying it was not a pleasant shipping experience. To getting lied to every day for an entire week about when my stove would be arriving. To paying way too much money to ensuring my order would be here no later than 4 days after I ordered it, ordered it on 5/16. Got a call from the place I ordered it, that it was on the truck and has left their building on the 16th. I was supposed to get my order by 5/22 and it arrived 5/30! They failed in every aspected, then they used another trucking company Magnum trucking and my order sat there for a couple days because they didn't have any way to load it. I will never use this company again. If you do use this company you no longer do business with me. Oh yeah, thanks for the $40 credit, that makes up the $2500 we lost.

    I ordered a pool, they lost my freight (a 300 lbs pallet!!!), Serena (customer service) whom I was on the phone with for probably three days. Said that the truck got to their depot without my package on it (maybe it was another girl-don't remember). Serena was super nice with me and straightforward. But that doesn't change the fact that the R&L driver should join the unemployment line since he does not deserve to be a truck driver.

    My husband is a truck driver (local), so I know EXACTLY how it SUPPOSE to work. If he had to take the pallet out to rearrange the load to fit other merchandise on the hub, or shift certain skids to the nose to be able to save time when unloading priority items, then he should have double checked his load to make sure he had everything he needed.

    Why didn't he double check everything? Maybe... On the phone texting when nobody is looking (that is what my husband says they do at his work -on the dock- that's why they don't get much done. But supervisors don't have the ** to tell them Guys that. And the union protects these losers (how ironic)). Thinking of what he wanted to do on his long weekend. Don't give a crap. Too lazy (it's so hot I don't want to do anything today).

    A third party hired R+L to pick an item up from our facility and ship it. R+L is now saying that because we allowed them to pick the shipment up, that we are somehow responsible from the shipping bill and are threatening to turn us over to collections. This is akin to me buying something from Walmart and then demanding that they pay my bus fare home. These guys are frauds. They prey on small businesses. Avoid them at all costs. Do not ship through them or let them pick up shipments from you.

    My company disagreed an additional charge of $25 for no justified reason. $25 is very small amount, should be easily taken care but it's not. Report to account manager Zane **, asked to file an overcharge claim. File an overcharge claim and receive a decline two months later. Call the overcharge claim department for a justified reason, no justified reason given me and send me back to account manager Zane ** telling me only the account manager has the authority to waive it.

    Call Zane ** for right treatment more for $25 at the time I have wasted is worth more than $25. Guess what he didn't even apologize for me being kicked around. And I asked anything he would like to say, the answer was no. And guess what, a couple of days later I found my business account was closed down, means you can't ship anymore with R&L. Soooo shocked!!! Never ran into a sales or business like it. It's so disappointing and stupid for such a big company simply close down all the future profit possibilities for a small amount $25 with a company who has shipped with R&L over a year.

I was invoiced 3.5X times what I was quoted because R L Carriers said they must have had an error in the quoting system. I politely requested that they change the bill to match the quote. After a few weeks of not hearing anything, I contacted R L to see what was going on. I received a threatening email from Jessica ** who is "Team Lead Credit & Collections Dept" advising me if I do not pay immediately they will submit to outside collections and contact my customer from the BOL to collect against them.

    I tried to call to further discuss but they were incapable of entertaining this and reiterated that they will not honor their quotation. I requested that my accounts be closed and I highly suggest others consider using a carrier that stands behind their quotations. R L Carriers did not show an ounce of integrity with this transaction and my company will no longer do business with them for that reason alone. The family that owns this company should be very disappointed... Maybe R L management can look further into this one. I have provided adequate information to identify the shipment and have uploaded the freight bill to Consumer Affairs.

    Updated on 05/25/2018: While publicly it may appear that R L has attempted to resolve this issue it should be known that I have complied with their public request for me to complete their online complaint form. R L Carriers has not made any attempt to email, call, nor even reply to private messages through Consumer Affairs. They also have made no attempt to reply to me through the Consumer Reviews messaging system. This company simply does not care enough about their customers. Please consider using a different shipping carrier.

    I purchased an engine and transmission from eBay and the seller sent it via R+L. I did some research on the carrier and found several negative reviews and began to grow worried. However, my fears were unfounded. The shipment made it from NJ to a terminal in MI in two days. I was notified of its arrival via text message and instructed to call to arrange delivery. I called and made an appointment for residential delivery, which was quick and painless. On the day of delivery, I received a text message from the driver prior to arrival, notifying me he'd be there in 20-30 minutes (it ended up being just under 30 minutes). When he arrived, he was very courteous and moved my shipment to the top of my driveway with a pallet jack (he would have put it in the garage, but I didn't have enough room to maneuver the pallet it was on). I'd highly recommend R L Carriers and will be looking for them as an option next time I need something big and heavy delivered.

    Was called by this shipper and told that I had a delivery scheduled for Friday. Told them I was not available on Friday or Saturday and they told me they could deliver on Monday. Shipper still showed up on Friday with my order. When I called on Monday to determine the status of my delivery they said they had no delivery scheduled for that day. No call, nothing. Just came on the wrong day with no follow up. I wish the companies I buy from would quit using this carrier.

    We have been in business for 25 years with the same wiring hanging from our building, receiving frequent deliveries, until two weeks ago when a stupid driver from R L pulled them down while driving out. The wires in turn pulled the siding and gutters off the historic home and they in turn destroyed the fence around our trash cans. The resulting damage was $2700 to our building. We supplied all the necessary documentation, including a picture of the truck caught in the wires (whose driver was trying fervently to leave the scene of the idiotic accident, only he was entrapped in wire!) and they had the nerve to deny the claim, stating our wires were too low. Why did no other of the thousands of deliveries pull the wires down? The height has not changed? They just didn't want to pay. Plain and simple. Idiots and thieves.

    R L Carriers was one of the LTL carriers that we had used to a regular basis. Their freight service is average. No better than rest of the industry. The customer service, and accounting is much worse. Now the saga of the bad shipment. The shipment on PRO ** was quoted for $139. As they were unable to make the pickup on Friday 9/8/17, we had the shipment of one pallet taken to their local terminal in Wallingford CT. The bill of lading stated that delivery was to be made on 9/13/17. This is because the consignee will charge hefty fees for delivery not made according to a rigid schedule. R L Carriers made the delivery one day early on 9/12/17. Thank you for the "great" service. We got charged a rather substantial penalty for this. They had made changes to the bill of lading and changed the name of the consignee. This caused substantial other problems in finding the freight at the receiving facility.

    The freight bill for $139 was paid the next day after the delivery by a debit of our bank account. After the freight was delivered and the freight bill paid, RL Carrier repriced the original $139 shipment to $1,882.87. They then debited our bank account for the additional amount. This amount was so far out of the range of the regular freight bills that the account was overdrawn. Our bank paid RL Carriers and just charged us the overdraft fees.

    In making inquiries as to what happened I have been completely stonewalled by RL Carriers. I have phoned and spoken to a few people there. Customer Service, Customer Care, Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Billing, Accounts Receivable, Rates. I have email in following up as to why this was done. Every person I had contacted was unable to tell me how this happened. All I got was the "I will look into this for you" response. No one has gotten back to me. I have asked for the refund of the additional $1,743.52 charges taken from our bank account. This had been denied by them. I have asked for the $1,743.52 to be credited to our account to be applied to other freight bills. I was told, "We will look into this for you."

    Why such substantial change to the bill of lading were applied without our knowledge or consent is the answer I need. They had no authorization to make such a substantial change to the shipment that the charges increased 13 times. Had we been told and asked for authorization to make such a change, it would had been denied. Other arrangement for the freight would have been made.

    They have not applied the overpayment to pay the outstanding bills we do have. I have not paid them any additional cash until this overpayment is resolved. Now R L Carriers is proceeding with sue for 10 times the amount of the invoices that they refuse to apply the money that they already have. Thank you RL Carriers, You have our $1,743.52 and now you want an additional $20,000.00. When asked recently by the RL Carriers salespeople, why are you not shipping with us. What can I say. The current action by RL Carrier will bankrupt the company. There will be nothing to ship.

    I recently bought an engine for my Caddy, shipping weight just under 500 lbs, the shipper picked the freight carrier, I checked R L Carriers reviews and kind of expected the worst based upon the current reviews. My experience was just the opposite from what was posted, they were prompt and right on top of things. They emailed me with the general delivery info and followed up with a phone call, narrowing the delivery window to 6 hours and requested that I call them for a more exact time the morning of the delivery date. I did as requested and was given a 2 hour window which was accurate. The contract was for curbside delivery by tractor trailer/lift gate. The driver offered to back it up my driveway and drop it there out of the way. Great experience by all involved.

    I'm guessing most reviews are left by those who have not had such a great experience and are angry enough to take the time to complain. Most of us take the good for granted and don't bother to give thanks for good service. Thanks Guys, this is actually my second delivery by R L Carriers, the first was a heavy massage chair and the delivery went just as nice. Don't be shy to use these guys, reviews are subjective to many things.

    Never showed and cost me time and money. I was called to schedule and to receive a shipment between 11am-3pm on a Saturday. I called to confirm at 9am and was told, "You are the first delivery, they should be there before noon." Multiple phone calls later after 3pm and different answers each time. Can't contact the driver, it is still in the warehouse, delivery was refused, (not by me). The last suggestion was to call back on Monday. Now 7pm and nothing. For some strange reason they have 2 tracking numbers and could not tell me why, as they were supposed to arrive on the same date.     We were quoted an amount to ship items from Canada to Hawaii. All of the information we supplied was accurate and I have extensive documentation proving so including weight and inspection tickets. After delivery, they billed us for an additional $9k+. When I questioned this, they had no real answer. They first said that the freight wasn't palletized and that was the reason for the increase. When I pointed out that I told them before it wasn't palletized they then said that I didn't give them the correct information. I sent them extensive documentation proving that I did give the correct information. They then said that they would reduce it to where I only had to pay an additional $4k+ because they quoted it wrong and I should have known from the beginning that they had quoted it wrong. None of what I just said is hearsay and I have extensive documentation to prove everything above.

    The dispatcher called me on Monday to schedule delivery for a shelving kit for my new van, I called back 2 minutes later and was on hold for 10 minutes so I hung up and called back, she answered the phone this time and said hello, I said, "Is this R&L trucking?" She said, "Yeah what do you want?" I knew right from that moment that I am going to have problems with this place, so we scheduled delivery for Wednesday between 11:00 and 4:00, So I take the day off work and I spend 2 hours in the morning to empty all tools from the van and get ready for the new shelving, I decided to call them around 2:00pm to check on delivery and the idiot on the phone tells me that it doesn't look like it has shipped out and we don't know where it is.

    I said, "Why has no one called me to tell me this?" He said, "I don't know," he then tries to blame it on the shipper and says they didn't ship all the boxes which was total BS because the Bill Of Lading states that they picked up 9 boxes from the shipper, I told him this and he said well maybe the driver forgot to pick up all the boxes, he called me back ten minutes later and informed me that they have no idea where my stuff is, they are liars and the most incompetent shipping company I have ever had the bad luck to deal with. I contacted the retailer where I purchased the kit and they told me I had to file a lost claim and request a replacement order, which will take 48 hours to complete and it will take another week after that until it is shipped out again.

    I told them that if they use R&L trucking again as the delivery company I will refuse any and all deliveries from this place, I will make sure in the future that I never order anything that will be delivered by this incompetent shipper, the sad thing is that his attitude on the phone was as if he is used to this and they don't care at all, I lost a full day wages and now I am heading back out to spend another 2 hours putting all my tools back in the van and will have to do it all over again, you have been warned, stay away for this place!

    Probably the most incompetent and ignorant people I have ever dealt with. The management have no clue what is going on and told me they were unaware of where my package was located. My delivery date got changed six separate times and I was told the reasoning behind it was that the computer generates the date. After locating my package finally, I was told they don’t know why the package ended up at that facility and they will let me know when it will ship out. Finally after getting nowhere with speaking to management, I drove two hours to go pick the package up myself. Avoid using this company or any vendor that uses this company for shipping! They do not care or understand that people count on and change their plans based on shipping and tracking information for important items that they need either personally or for a job.

    I ordered a steel security safe weighing 700 lbs from a 3rd party. R&L Carriers was the shipper. They gave us a time window for delivery of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and they won't deliver to your door - only to curbside. Our curbside is 50 yards from the front door. So they would be leaving it in the middle of the street for us? We have had items delivered by them before and they are usually late if they even show up at all on the scheduled day. We decided to pick the item up 2 days after our expected delivery date at the Houston terminal. We arrived on the day we were scheduled to pick up the item and it wasn't even unloaded out of their truck yet. How could they deliver it 2 days prior I wonder if it wasn't even out of their truck? and I don't mean just sitting inside the truck-it was buried. Took the operator 20 minutes to unload other items to get ours out.

    When he brought it down to us you could tell it had damage even before we took off the wrapping and packing. The pallet it was attached to was all smashed up and splintered, the box over it had big gashes in it, the plastic under the box was torn to shreds on the bottom. So we took pictures of the scratches and dents all over the FRONT of the safe - of course none of the damage could be to the back of the safe where no-one would see it. So we took pictures and the forklift operator took pictures and said he would report the damages to their front office. To back up a little - R&L makes you sign a release form before you enter their loading dock area. It states the items are received in good condition. This in itself is a scam but they won't let you into their loading dock area until you sign it. They don't tell you if there are damages to come back after you pick up your item or I suppose you are not supposed to take delivery? This was never mentioned.

    Since their employee said he would report the damages and give the front office the pictures he took, we took his word for it. BIG MISTAKE! I filed a claim just a few days after getting the safe home. Now they are denying it saying I signed the paper saying it was received in good order. DO NOT USE R&L CARRIERS would be my advice to you. This is not the first time they have done this to us. 2 times we have received goods shipped to us using their services - both times the times were significantly damaged. I absolutely DO NOT recommend them and would not use them if I had a choice.

    So I recently ordered a pellet grill from an online retailer, and looked up the carrier once I was notified that it had shipped. After reading numerous reviews, I started to get really nervous about whether my new grill would arrive intact, or in pieces. I ended up getting a phone call that it was going to be delivered days sooner than expected, and just happened to be coming on the day that I would be at my wife's grandmothers funeral. My aunt was going to be watching our twins, and could not lug a grill from the curb to the garage by herself.

    The window we got was from 9 AM to 1 PM that day, we waited until 1030 before we had to leave. On our way down there, I got a text from my aunt stating that the delivery guy was very nice, put the pellet in my garage, and that it was in pristine condition. So, my guess on why there are so many bad reviews, and not very many good ones, is that the happy people just move on with life without saying something nice about their experience. In my case, they far surpassed my expectations, and I would use them again.

    We ordered two 2 thousand pound pallets of salt. R & L's driver didn't feel confident enough to back into the parking lot by our door so dropped it a half a block away. Didn't have an electric pallet jack with him so me and my employee and the driver had to push/pull each pallet uphill to get it delivered. The second pallet broke while the drive was having an asthma attack so my employee and I had to unpack the pallet, load it into our delivery van to drive it the rest of the way and then unload it again. When we complained, they said too bad for us and still charged us the $235 for the delivery. Don't EVER use this company. They are awful!

    December 21 I spend $7000 USD on a new Sled Deck built in Edmonton Alberta. They ship it and the item leaves packaged and ready for cross border delivery in Dallas, Texas. I receive a call January 2 to confirm delivery to my home as I paid for drop service which is basically truck lift gate and deliver to my driveway flat concrete. January 5th is agreed upon 10am-2pm window and I take the day off and wait patiently ready for my weekend assembly project. January 5 at 4:00 pm I start calling and unable to contact anyone from R&L Carrier that could tell me where the delivery was without a delivery number (which I don't have it has not been delivered) but one lady felt sorry for me finally and looked me up in their computer system using my address and name, wow that was not an option on the first 4 people. She tracks down the driver and tells me he will not be delivering as there is an issue with the pallet (Flag #1).

    We reschedule for the next Friday and once again I take the day off. Delivery for 8-12 time frame. Well 12:30 comes along another day off work and patiently waiting, I call and after several people Jesse at extension 1101 informs me the driver did not take the shipment that morning as the item is too large and heavy plus it is just pipes and stuff. (Flag #2) I ask them what they are going to do as I paid for delivery?? She informs me that it is my problem and fault they are unable to handle this item (inside voice wtf) so I ask why would they accept the item (from Canada) and haul it to Dallas if they are unable to actually deliver it as agreed upon? Dumb question. She reinforced that I failed to let them know (inside voice ** you say what).

    She lets me know that I need to handle the offload, well I am less than impressed but the fact is we were never going to agree on this and I still wanted my $7000 shipment, so I tell them no problem the pallet is actually a stack of individual boxed aluminum items so the driver and I can unload by hand. Bring it on. She sets me up for Monday MLK day delivery, again a day off work but first thing delivery so I am golden, nope wrong. Inside voice is talking to the wall now!

    I waited until 10 am and called extension 1101 and once again Jesse lets me know that she called me last Friday and told me that they are not delivering Monday unless I have help to unload (I already confirmed that when we scheduled the 3rd time wtf??) But it gets even worse. She thought she called me and after 15 minutes of heck, "No you did not." She said "ohhh I forgot we are busy." Therefore the driver was not bringing the shipment and they are not sure when they have time as they are hurt handed. I am lost can't even be mad I am working with a person that is struggling just to inhale oxygen and maintain life. So I call the original shipper and they start their work and within 2 hours are also at the point of this $7000 package is at R&L's warehouse and the $300 door delivery service already paid for is 50 miles down the road from me LOL, (Can't be mad any longer remember).

    So let's face it. The I Can't Club has won and I get in my truck and drive 50 miles to their warehouse in South West Dallas, it is huge 100's of truck bays. I pull up to the security gate. Nice young lady (must be contract no way is she an R&L employee) directs me to the check in point and I meet Steve in the office, I sign in. They take copy of my driver's license, make me sign a release of liability being I am on the property. (Inside voice thinks this is so I don't hunt Jesse down and well you know oxygen is seriously being abused here).

    They tell me to go to door #97 and wait they will bring out my shipment of pipes (flag, flag, flag) and I do. I wait, and wait and wait then suddenly here comes a forklift dragging a pile of lumber, boxes, shrink wrap and aluminum. The pallet is now 4 pallets as the original is broke in half and 2 more were added, the top aluminum ramp is now buried in the pile with actual material peeled off all down the side. Heck there is even paper tag on the shipment that says "refused shipment." I do agree but I wonder who and when was it received as I am in week 3+ now and first time get to see it. I refuse to load and go back to the office as I am concerned that R&L must have missing truck and driver as this had to have been in a major accident or maybe they lost the trailer at 90 mph somewhere!

    I leave the warehouse, call the original shipper and ask for next steps as I don't even know where to begin to ask for parts missing, damaged etc. They are now trying to reship but I had to call R&L and let them know it is refused, yup extension 1101 again and now she gives me hell as she did not know I came there and I apparently failed to let her know, OMG! I now am waiting on the shipper as they have 2 options give me my money back or replace but if you replace you cannot resend it to R&L, they do not deliver to your driveway!!!

    Call came in very early in the morning... Waking others in the house. Unnecessary. I called back, information wasn't known. I awaited a call, never came. I had to call to trace my item. EXTREME limitations on pick up times with no accommodations at all. "Customer service" claimed that I was being difficult. The "c.s." worker told me that their 1.3/5 star rating didn't matter, that I should have looked into their rating before using them. Swear words at me... Claimed she wasn't talking to me anymore and ended the conversation.

    I was told that I was making things difficult, when the entire time, the worker was talking over me and didn't want to listen to any concerns. I was told that I wasn't who paid for the shipping ($200). I was most certainly billed for it... Continued to brag about how much business the company does... Reasons were claimed as safety for customers... Banking hours for what was bragged to be a 24 hour service. I would recommend any other company over them.

    After reading all the negative reviews here, I was terribly apprehensive about receiving delivery of my furniture panels through R&L. However, my delivery went without a hitch. The driver was friendly and courteous. The boxes were upright on the truck as specified on their labels. He was careful in handling them with the hand truck and delivered them into the garage despite having to go up a sloped driveway in the snow. The only slight damage was to one corner of one of the three boxes where there was a tear in the cardboard that didn’t penetrate to the panels. Perhaps I was lucky, but it’s also possible the people who had bad experiences were unlucky. I didn’t have any choice of delivery carrier as a customer which is typical on the customer side so I’m glad and grateful to the driver that all went well for me. I didn’t give 5 stars due to the small tear.

    This R L is the worse shipping company I know. The day I was suppose to have the delivery I call them to know the time of the day I was going to have my item (it was a crate with some additional pieces, all wrapped making a single part). (Portable Sawmill). They told me that the truck was half way. I waited hours for the truck. Finally I called again and was told that my delivery had to be done using a straight truck and they didn't have one available. They also proposed to meet me at a public parking lot to transfer the 1,000+ lbs crate to my vehicle.

    After many differences I decided to make the two hours round trip a pick up the article myself. When I saw what they had for me I was shocked: original wooden pallet was gone, ripped corrugated, bent steel frame, etc. Instead of having one single item, I had five dispersed items. Nothing was missing but some damaged components, which were replaced by seller.

    Very confusing and strange company, have my items in their position for few days and no one know what is going on. They give you 30 minutes notice that they making residential delivery. I can't make it because was at work and I had to reschedule delivery. I did reschedule and after I spend whole day waiting, no one call me to say that I have to call shipper to get authorization for pickup or redelivery. I can't recommend no one to deal with company like this.

    Below is a picture of the shredded bookcase that R L Carriers delivered along with many other damaged items that were covered by Ship Smart (the company I hired). The R L driver took complete responsibility for the bookcase. He also took it away which didn't help me as I have to have it in my possession to file a claim. R L Policy is 10 cents for each pound. Therefore they would pay me $3.00 for shredding my bookcase. Unbelievable. Do NOT hire them!

    I have worked a delivery truck and know how difficult some of us consumers can be. It is a very long story I won't go through again, Once was more than enough! I have read some other reviews of the driver refusing to take of the product without a lift charge because I did not have a ramp to deliver to. Then he said besides that it would be another $100 to deliver it to my front door which I did not ask or wanted him do. I bought from musician’s friend which is Guitar Center under a different name. I called M.F. and they were indifferent.

    Bottom line the driver left as I would not pay. His story changed on who was charging the extra fees. He told me it was Guitar Center. All I wanted was to have my keyboard dropped off the truck but all he wanted to do was scam me. He came back after I called the company who was smart enough to know I was in the business and could not be given the business. They sent the driver back. In my opinion no company who cares about their customers should deal with them. Be careful if they call.

    I had a 300lb freight item shipped to me from a manufacturer. R L called to set up delivery and asked if they could use a 48ft tractor trailer. I told them I'm located in a rural area and my access would only accommodate a "Straight truck (aka: bobtail truck). The delivery was then set up. The day of the delivery those ** at R L sent a 48ft tractor trailer. To make matters worse the driver wanted to drop the delivery at the street!!! Who are these idiots employed with... 3-stooges rip off and deliver service?? R L are a bunch of incompetent, lazy, rip off artists. A complaint to the AZ DOT and USS will be forthcoming for misrepresentation of delivery and fraud.

    On 8/9/17 R&L Carriers was delivering a shower door and while positioning the truck to unload backed into a tree in front of our neighbor's house, then proceeded to say it was the neighbor's fault because the limbs were too low. The tree has been there for more than 10 years without an incident until now. The driver never apologized and then was going to leave the limbs blocking the neighbor's driveway and in the street even when informed they were at the hospital and were disabled.

    Next he informed us that if he used the lift gate on the truck it would be an additional $75 for the delivery. When I called and complained I was transferred multiple times and then sent a claims form to complete which includes me getting two estimates to remove the tree limbs and repair the tree before they would consider doing anything about it. Even though the driver had an empty truck he refused to dispose of the limbs. Worst customer service experience I have ever had.

    We have had a delivery of a compressor for our busy shop canceled two days in a row and customer service in Reno/Sparks is the worst I have ever seen. The first lady said "Oh well you are ** out of luck, maybe next week sometime." I asked for a manager and got the same treatment. We planned a special installer to come in 3 days after the first scheduled delivery date and customer service at the Reno/Sparks hub said they could care less. Disappointed that poor customer service is the way things are done these days.

    I paid 350.00 on a order from Floor & Decor for some tile. Big big mistake. I have got better things to do than sit around waiting for trucking companies that don't show up. They called on Friday and said they would be here Monday. No show. I called and complained and they said they would be here Tues between 1-3. Again no show. Will see when and if they show up. I wouldn't buy anything from anyone who uses this company.

    Failed delivery, scrambled responses, confused managers, lost shipment. Obfuscation everywhere. Dispute with VISA for $4200 generator necessary. R & L may find this shipment and it may be delivered but it might take days or months. It's 10 days late now. Generator is desperately needed on off-grid homestead. Funds tied up for the duration. With multiple entities we're being "baffled-with-bull", scammers are at work, or they are just incompetent. Filed complaint case with Honda International.
