On December 23rd I purchased a Citizen watch from them. The sales person gave me a box with a sticker on it that I discovered was for a different model from the one I purchased. I found out it was the wrong model when I went to register it using the Citizen app on my phone. The next day (Christmas Eve) I went back and told management. They didn't seem to be concerned about it and assured me that I was still able to return it in 30 days if I wanted to. I just figured "Well, mistakes happen"
Fast forward to a few days ago (March 1st). I purchased a Bulova watch. When I got home I realized I was not given a receipt. I went back the next day and told them I wanted a receipt WITH a serial number printed on the receipt. They informed me they do not put the serial number on the receipt, but they did print one up for me and put the serial number on it manually. I was also told that when they sell watches they do not provide the original box/sticker with model number /serial number/owners manual, etc.
Bottom line IF YOU BUY A WATCH FROM THEM INSIST ON ORIGINAL PACKAGING AND CHECK TO MAKE SURE ALL DOCUMENTATION IS INCLUDED. I didn't press it too much with them because the watches I purchased from them were relatively inexpensive. Keep in mind they sell some very expensive watches From Bremont and Tag Huer as well. Can you imagine spending $5,000 on a watch only to be given just the watch with a box with the brand name, no papers tags, manual, etc. If they tell you they cannot provide the proper packaging/documentation shop elsewhere. I have also purchased from eBay and directly from Citizen, and directly from Orient and have always gotten the proper packaging, etc.

Updated on 03/27/2024: I paid off my balance of $3,412 and still have a finance charge of $79. Do not do business with Jared or their finance arm. It's a scam and they have serious shady business practices. This should be an illegal organization. I can't believe the Consumer Affairs hasn't looked into this.
Original Review: Do not go near this place. I initiated autopay with their credit card partner, Community Bank, for a purchase at Jared's in March 2022 and I clearly informed that set up auto pay as I travel weekly for work. I emphasized the need to setup autopay to settle the balance within 18 months to capitalize on the interest-free promotion. The representative assured me that my auto monthly payments would suffice to clear the balance within the specified timeframe.
However, upon reaching the end of the 18-month period, I discovered an outstanding balance of over $1,800. To my surprise, Community Bank levied a $3,494.62 interest charge on a balance that was only half of that amount. In addition to the levied $3,494.62, I am still making monthly autopayments which also includes INTEREST on the INTEREST CHARGE. This practice appears to be highly questionable and unethical, leaving me perturbed by the unexpected financial burden. Given that I set up autopay to manage this situation, finding a significantly inflated balance is both distressing and unjust. I've taken the initiative to address this issue through various channels. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to document the situation and contacted my local representative. Please help.

I ordered a tri gold rope bracelet for a Christmas gift for my adult son. After three weeks of wearing it, one of the gold strands just fell out and was dangling from the bracelet. I called their main customer service line and I was told that because I paid for it before Christmas Day, my 30 days to return or replace it had expired. They only offered that I take it to one of their stores over 55 miles each way from my home and pay 250.00 to repair it. So I took it to my jeweler one block away who attempted to repair it for 60.00 and two days later the same strand came out. My jeweler said the item was defective! This company doesn’t stand behind their poor products at all. Buyer beware.

I bought a bracelet from Jared’s for a Christmas present for my mother. My mom found that the bracelet was loose and needed to have link removed to fit nicely. She took the bracelet to Jared’s to have a link removed and they charged her 50% cost of the bracelet to have the link removed. Absurd service costs for a product recently purchased as a gift.

Went into to have a watch bought from them by wife as a Christmas present repaired. The individual who I assume was the manager took the watch and proceeded to help three customers who walked in after me. It became very apparent to me that his intentions were to continue to push me aside and try to get new sales instead of addressing my issues. Another associate saw this and proceeded to help me and she was wonderful. The other gentleman blurted out that the watch was behind the counter and continued to be rude and belligerent. I can promise you that this was the last dime of mine that this establishment will receive.

I have been a customer with Jared since 2010-11. Recently, I attempted to make a purchase online (item not available in stores), but had trouble with the website. The item would show available, then when I would try to purchase, the system would freeze up. Eventually, the item would show out of stock, yet I was not able to submit the suggested "contact me when available." I contacted Jared online several times with no resolution. On yesterday, the item looked available again, yet I still was not able to purchase online. When I contact CSR on today, no help again; they sent me to Kay and offered everything but what I wanted. The agent refused to honor the price although she saw that I had been trying to purchase since 12/9. I do not recommend Jared to the consumer who values customer service and being a returning customer. You're not valued as a customer with Jared, go somewhere else!!!

Only giving one star because negative one is not an option. This rating is for Jared as a company. My first experience was terrible. Scoured the site for a few days until I found the perfect gift for my wife. Even went ahead and applied and got approved for the Jared Credit card. Checked out using the same card and was told the item would be delivered by 12/22/2023.
I became concerned on 12/20 when I didn't see any email or sms regarding the item being shipped as I was promised. I decided to log back in only to see that the order was canceled two whole days after I placed the purchase. The notes even said I should've gotten a cancelation email (still haven't gotten 3 days after SMH). They Claimed there was an issue with billing. Then why not call or text me with the phone number that I provided and even signed up for sms alerts? I contacted them and kept on being transferred to at least three chat agents. The last one tried to offer me other options that didn't even come close to what I chose to fit my wife's style even after I showed her a screenshot the same ring still available online and asked them to substitute. Now I have to seek other options last minute AT CHRISTMAS TIME

Paid my wife ring and several pieces of jewelry off well over 2 or 3 months ago. I check my account and I have a charge on there from me not making consecutive payments prior to paying the whole bill... This is trash and a way to continue to get money from the consumer even though you paid your total bill... Good thing I check and they'll lose my wife and I business from here on out.

I wished I would have looked at these reviews before I went to court with them. I had earrings made to match a pendant I purchased. They gave me earrings that were substandard, but I accepted them as Jared quality. Years later I find they were glass and not Peridot. I took them to court only to get a judge that was not fair and Jared brought a lawyer to small claims court. I did not have representation because it was small. They said I received different earrings from them than I did. They lied in court and the judge was not kind to me. The cost to appeal was not worth the effort. I never received the earrings they said I did. Do not purchase from Jared. They are not honest. The customer is never right with them. This was surprising since I had purchased several items previously and was happy. Their reputation is changing and not for the better.

I've been trying to buy an engagement ring through them for almost 2 months now. First I put in the order for it at the store, the clerk ordered it online because they didn't have the one I wanted in store. Two weeks later, the payment fell off my bank account. The day to pick it up comes, and they can't find my order. Turns out they canceled it and never told me. A few months go by, we try to order the ring AGAIN, this time ourselves through the website. Same thing happens. A week or so later the charge drops off my account, looks like it's been canceled again and we've not been contacted by Jared about it. At this point, me and my fiance are going to look at rings elsewhere, because this whole process has been way too frustrating, that we don't even want that ring anymore. Tl;dr, Don't give Jared your money, they'll just give it back a week later and never give you your ring.

Poor customer service from the General Manager Nikki **, I would have expected the service to be geared towards the customers and policy driven. In this case she was incorrect concerning the process. The whole time I felt that her focus was letting me know that another General Manager, was in trouble because she took care of the customer. Kudos to Quenessa for putting the customer first. Anthony kept me in the store for over 40 mins for something that should have been taken care of in 10 minutes. When I confronted Nikki and informed her that she owed me an apology, her narcissistic behavior would only allow her to try to explain why she didn't get it right the first time. The apology was not sincere. I waited three days prior to writing this up because I didn't want to but if this type of service continue the behaviors will not change.

On Sept 6, 2023 I took my jewelry in to be inspected as well as get new posts put on my earrings so I could have the screw on backs. The gal let me know my diamond was loose and a diamond was chipped on my ring so stated I needed to send it in to be fixed. I asked her to remove my ex from my account since we are no longer together. She stated she would handle it all. On the 13th I went to the store to pick up my items and nobody could find them. Someone asked me who helped me the last time I was in and I pointed to the gal and she came over and told everyone that yes she remembered me and that she switched all my items into my account only and took the ex off the account. After them looking more a manager told me my stuff was picked up two days prior. I said by who and they said my ex name.
I said, "How would he know to pick up my items" and he stated the gal made a mistake and submitted the fix it ticket prior to removing him from the account so he got the email that my items were done and ready for pick up. I asked them what they were going to do in regards to the situation and they stated nothing because he was on the ticket. They failed to do their job correctly and gave my jewelry that my children gave me as gifts to my abusive ex and they would not even reimburse me my money that I paid on getting new posts on my earrings. Absolutely horrible customer service. They messed up and now I’m paying for it. My son was in tears because I don’t have my earrings and ring that he picked out for me.

To break it down, the engagement ring was purchased first with the Jared's credit card for 0% interest for 18 months in November of 2021. We were paying the amount to have it paid off by May of 2023 to not pay interest. We have been paying the correct amount a month for 20 months now. The men’s band ring was purchased on October 2022 for $$$ and has 12 months to pay it off with no penalty which brings him to October of 2023. When we were purchasing the band we had a 100 off of 300 coupons to use. The back of the coupon card did not state that we had to put it on the credit card but the employee told us we had to, so we did. My husband brought cash with him to buy out the ring that day and the guy said to get the sale you have to put it on the credit card and it'll just take your payments into October.
We asked if there is interest on doing so to just save a hundred dollars and he continued on saying there is nothing we have to do, it will just increase our time of payments. We did just that and purchased the wedding band. Now we went onto the account and realized they have put both rings on one payment instead of two so the engagement ring that we thought was being paid for in full was not, and we have been paying interest on the ring since the wedding band was purchased. Once he bought his ring, they merged both purchases together and have been taking payment for both rings, so we have not received the zero percent interest for the last ten months.
Once we realized we owe interest of $1,969 to the credit card company (Comenity) we called Jared's and discuss this with them. They connected us to the district manager who told us we should have known we had to increase our month payments and that there is nothing they can do but give us an email to send a dispute letter. I asked if he discussed this with his employee and was told he was on vacation and couldn't talk to him about this until next week. We did what we were guided to do and now we are the ones paying for an employee's mistake. We are working with an attorney to resolve this issue and we are working on getting a hold of channel 7. We have been advising everyone that we know to AVOID Jared’s at all costs!

After 4 people looking at it and cleaning it one more time. They told her all was good, the ring was very dirty and needed the deep cleaning. I take it in for the 6 month check; some time later another diamond comes out. Therefore I take my ring back, and remind them of what I was told by the director.
The person that was helping goes on to tell me, because I didn’t bring it in right after the COVID lockdown they can’t replace it only fix it. I'm upset, but what can I do. I go to pick it up a week or so later, it wasn’t 2 days later another diamond comes out. I call them to make them aware of the issue, and was given the run around. I show up at the store only to be told that my ring can’t be fixed, but they will give me what it paid for it towards another ring. I choose another ring, pay extra for it and for new insurance on the ring. I was told to not sleep, bath, wash dishes, clean, etc. in the ring…pretty much Pay for the ring, but don’t wear it.
It has now been at least 4 weeks and now this ring has lost a diamond! I’m just upset at this point. How can this keep happening? I have done multiple purchases at Jared's the Rim in San Antonio and have nothing but positive feelings on all occasions. I like watches (have 3 Movado's and 1 Tag before Jared's) and wanted a Rolex. I could only afford a Pre-Owned Rolex. I discovered that Jared carried a number of quality pre-owned Rolex watches and I found the perfect model in my price range. I spent several hours on their website and others comparing models before I went into the store. I then visited the store several more times deciding if it was the right investment for me. I must say they have a phenomenal website, and an even better storefront managed by a highly trained group of friendly and caring professionals. Each time I visited I was always greeted kindly and never felt rushed or pressured.
Eventually I met Juanita who spent even more time with me in my selection. She was able to locate my desired model at another store and it trans-shipped. She also introduced me to Jared's extensive line of quality new watches, and I was extremely impressed with their in-store selection of Tag-Heuer watches. That day I picked up my Rolex and Tag Heuer watch and could not have been more excited. Juanita called me a couple of days later inquiring about how I felt and if I was satisfied with my purchase. She made me feel like more than a customer, and I view her as more than a salesperson.
Since that day have purchased 3 other Tag Heuer watches each of them as unique as the other. My purchase experience is always the same; caring, friendly, and knowledgeable staff that doesn't pressure you to make a deal. I did so because I love the merchandise that Jared sells not because they emailed me, or called, or prodded, or tried to lure me in with "promotional deals". Again I love watches and I love a good deal, but I love trusted partnerships just as much and found the perfect marriage between my needs and Jared's ability to take care of me.
Lastly, I would like to give a shout out to Pete ** the GM. My latest acquisition is a very limited edition Tag Heuer Monica Gulf Edition with left handed crown. Trust me when I say this - You can't find this impressive model online or in stores. Pete personally scoured his connections and was able to secure me my prized possession within a couple of weeks. I would add that I paid the advertised price rather than a marked up price for his service and a rare watch (all other jewelers were asking over Tag's Advertised price or only offering used watches). This is why I shop at Jared's and Trust them completely with my selection and needs. Fair and Caring! I don't think you can find the same combination at other Jewelers, but if you do then let others know as I have about my favorite Jeweler - JARED's!

I opened the box and the first thing I see is a tag stating Made in China. The bracelet is nice but I feel I cannot trust it being genuine. There was no other information in the box except a return receipt. Which I feel means that a lot of jewelry is returned. This was a gift. Very disappointing.

I have been a Jared shopper for many years. I had a men's diamond ring that I used as part of a purchase. I ended up cancelling the purchase via phone and returned in person at a later date (with the Jared paperwork in-hand indicating their receipt of my ring). The ring was valued at $2,000 and was purchased from Jared a few years prior. They could not find my ring and told me that they wouldn't return the equivalent dollar value (remember, they were the ones who sold me the ring). They offered to have a replacement ring made. Well, if I really wanted that ring, I wouldn't have traded it in, now would I.
Bottom line, they lost the ring and did not make good on it monetarily. As I said, I have spend many thousands of dollars at Jared over the years but never again. Not only because they lost the ring - but because of their attitude. They just lost another customer. I won't even grace their doors for my free rhodium plating on my wife's rings (also purchased from Jared). Seriously, if you are reading this, please know that you have so many other choices of quality jewelers available to you.

We purchase a beautiful diamond and a wedding band, Justin was amazing. He had sized and so ready for pick the following day. When we picked it up we decided to add another ring it to. We paid in full and waited for a call to come get it. One week passed and we still did not hear from them. We decided to call and they snarked at us stating it was in the store. Justin called back and told us to come in on Monday and they will put the rings together while we wait. We anxiously awaited for Monday to come and went in. Sadly Justin was off.
We dealt with one women who could not even find the ring, then told us we could come back in two hours. We waited until the evening to get it and another girl took care of us. She was very short with us and went behind the counter to get the ring. She would not even speak to us, she flipped the laptop over, walked away and my husband signed. She then handed me the ring and walked away. All I can say is this is not how you treat a customer who pre paid! This was a moment for us ruined by ignorance!! I don't know who runs this page but I am having a very large problem with a purchase from JARED and I am getting the run around because JARED does not want to fix the wrong they admitted to with my order. I paid for a setting and then a 1 carat stone which was ON CLEARANCE. JARED mislabeled the stone. I was not aware and thought I was getting the stone for the price I paid. I get the email that my order is paid IN FULL and they will let me know when it is shipped to store. The stone and setting came to the store, I went to show my ID and pick up because that is what the "Ready For Pick up" Email stated. I get to the store excited to pick my wife's new ring up (That is paid for in FULL) and low and behold they tell me I cannot pick it up because I have a balance.
My 4 emails from JARED says my order totals and NO BALANCE. So after dealing with the representatives on the phone INSIDE of the store and myself and the store clerk listening to the call rep try to make this my fault, they finally say. " Oh, I see we did make a typographical error and that was our fault, but we reserve the right to change the error EVEN AFTER THE ORDER IS ALREADY PLACED AND READY FOR PICK UP"?!? WHAT??! Are you serious JARED. That is ETHICALLY wrong on the highest levels. At this point I am typing a book and its frustrating me all over. I will just say this. I have all of the evidence in black and white that I am completely a victim of bad business practice and I will not stand for it.
I am basically being stolen from because of a mistake on YOUR COMPANY'S PART.. I will not go away until you make this situation right. If I have to take this to court for 1400 dollars take this to the media to show them this is how JARED treats its Customers then I will. If this was your company and I as the customer made a mistake you would expect me to pay for that in some way shape or form. Now even if I drive 40 min to a store and hand it to them I have to wait 3-4 weeks for a refund then try to reorder if the ring is still available. At that point it would take another month to get it and if that one was also defective then we would get to do that all over again. Not only that but likely pay more since it was a mother's day sale item. Apparently they can or will not replace the simulated diamond or just order a replacement even I give them back the defective one.

Upon pulling the Pandora box out of the shipping box the top of the box fell off and the ornament, delicate, fell on the ground and the bead flew across the room... because whomever packed it didn’t rubber band or tape the box closed. Although nothing was broken, I messaged Jared website with regards to the item. The woman I spoke with was helpful and stated she would take note of it to her supervisor. I then proceeded to ask her about cleaning the bead as I received it completely tarnished... The bead, where it should be bright white and sparkly silver around the stones and enameling is completely tarnished. She gave me link to Pandora for cleaning instructions.
As I look on Pandora, I see I have none of the items to be able to clean this. I shouldn’t receive an item I just purchased and have it Arrive tarnished and then have to clean it that ridiculous. As I look at this item more and more I see the resin enamel on the top of the ornament is more a yellow white than the resin enamel on the bottom. Which is a bright white. I’m definitely frustrated.... This was a gift for someone, now I have to do the leg work to make it presentable? Absolutely unacceptable.
I called. I was supposed to receive a call back. I never did. I had to call back today. Wait on the phone to get someone wasted an hour of my time. The only option the manager gave me was to take the item back to a store locally which the closest one is 30 minutes away which means I have to pack my child up and go to the store and return it or he said I could order a new one online and pay to ship this damaged one back. She wanted something that was easier to maintain and didn't poke her when worn for extended use. In the store, she was ignored and mistreated in such an unprofessional manner that it prompted me to write this review. Jared doesn't need to improve the quality of their advertising or product but rather needs to invest in employees that are courteous and professional. I'm devastated that my wife was subjected to such poor treatment and that my purchase was the by product of her tears and feelings of inadequacy. However, the names were engraved extremely small, which did not look like what the picture online showed. But, she was happy to have the necklace regardless.
A week after wearing it, the chain broke. She was working out and the necklace broke. We went to the nearest Jared store to see if they could fix it, and they said that they weren't taking jewelry for repairs at that time. WHAT? I left my name and contact info and was told that they would contact me when they could fix my necklace. I still haven't heard from them and it's almost been a month.

When I inquired about higher grade diamonds, I was told the quality I was looking at was just as good (SI2 K color) as the other stones (not true) and that no one would be able to tell the difference (also not true). I bought a diamond ring on March 9, 2019 at the Jared Gallery of Jewelry and was set up on a 12 month promotional finance program through Comenity Bank for 1 year. The sales person at Jared assured me that 12 installments according to Comenity's payment plan was all I needed to pay off the balance with no interest. He did not give me any paper contract to sign. I got the card for the account about a week later and was directed to Comenity-Jared web page with a payment plan set up for me. Their web page displayed the whole payment plan suggested by Comenity stating that the first bill was due on May 3, 2019 and the last bill was due on April 3, 2020. There were 12 total payments displayed. The first bill was due on May 3, 2019. However, at Comenity- Jared Gallery of Jewelry they trigger the promotional balance to expire on the actual day the year ends and NOT on the day of the last scheduled payment.
After the balance was paid off on April 1, 2020 they charged me $882.77 in finance charges. They set you up on a payment plan that will not fulfill the requirements of the plan. So then you get hit with a huge bill as soon as you pay off the balance. They could have easily helped me avoid this problem by having my first bill be due on April 3, 2019 instead of May, or they could have divided my payments by 11. They could have used their text message informational system and/or display the actual expiration date of the promotional finance program on the web page where the payment plan is. It is obvious a border line illegal, a scam like practice that they use to benefit their profits. This is unfair and unacceptable. This caused me get charged the interest on the card even though I had an automatic payment coming and was religiously following the plan.
Their claim is that they informed me by putting some text in a lightly brown (they call it red) box on my paperless statement. This isn't good enough because the entire point of the automatic payments is I don't need to micromanage this account. For this to have ever worked I would have had to change the default billing date by knowing their system was flawed. Besides their e-statements designed in the way that they display a minimum due, a due date and a current balance carefully avoiding any information about accrued interest and actual expiration date of promotion. Once a customer sees an e-statement he/she is guided by the remaining balance, then clicks on the “make a payment” and directed straight to the page with the payment plan to actually make a payment. It is another trick of their deceptive practices.
On top of that, they did not give me any paper contract to sign in the store, nor am I able to locate my contract on their web page. I am a full-time mother of two young kids and I do not expect a stab in the back here in the USA where we value honest and responsible businesses that we trust. Beware! Stay away from this company.

The worst experience with this company ever. I would never give them another penny. First of all my custom ring had my mother’s diamonds taken out of another ring. This was the only thing I had from my mother when she passed away. She wore these diamonds every day. They assured me multiple times nothing would happen to any of them. After picking up my items I noticed there were some missing and they destroyed the ring they were taken out of. Almost all of the diamonds were broken as well and they never even called to warn me or even tell me when I got there. If I didn’t count them, I would have never even known.
Then after all of this heartache, my ex stole the ring with what was left of my mother's diamonds when I broke up with him. I made the first payment on the ring so insure it was in my name and my ex told them to put it in my name on multiple occasions. They did not do that and told me the reason was because he opened a Jared's credit card account and so it automatically went into his name. They are a disgusting excuse for a company and they should not be trusted with any jewelry.

I bought an engagement ring in October 2018 and was set up on a 12 month promotional finance program. I chose to get paperless statements and just pay the installments on time every month. The first bill was due Dec 18th 2018 and the last bill was due Nov 18 2019. After the balance was paid off they charged me $493 in finance charges. They set you up on a payment plan that will not fulfill the requirements of the plan. So then you get hit with a huge bill as soon as you pay off the balance. They could have easily helped me avoid this problem by having my first bill be due in November instead of December, or they could have divided my payments by 11. It seems obvious that they set it up this way to benefit their profits. This is unfair and unacceptable. I will continue to try and get the $493 in finance charges waived. Beware!

My husband surprised me with a trip to Jared in North Olmstead Ohio to upgrade my diamond and purchase a new setting for ten year anniversary. We purchased a new diamond and ring on December 13th. We were told at that time the process is roughly 8 weeks and they would take my current diamond and ring for trade in during the process. We were ok with that.
The store got the first set of drawings of the custom ring on December 23rd. I called the store 4 times from 12/28 to 1/7 and was told I, as the customer, would get the drawings before they would. The store manager Hollie ** said the shop “always notifies the customer before the salesperson...”. On 1/7 I accidentally called Alexis at Strongsville and inquired and she said that is not true the salesperson would have the drawings. So, I call back to my salesperson Sepp in North Olmstead on 1/7 and he sends me the drawings they have had for 15 days after 4 lies to me.
Oh that’s not all! Then I make changes to the drawings and again call the store numerous times asking for the update. I email Alexis ** 3 times with no response. I call Hollie again to inquire why Alexis is not responding to my emails and am told “she had a busy day”. Busy day? The emails spanned 5 business days. Apparently the staff is not required to answer the phone, talk with customers or email them. Final drawings were approved on 1/30 and I was told a wax mold would be in for final approval on 2/6. On 2/6 we call the store and Hollie advises the mold is not going to be in and said “not much she can do at 4 p.m.”. So, staff are not required to work a full day either.
On 2/11 the mold is in and we approve it in person and are told “two weeks” for the ring to come in. I called for a status update and was told I was lied to for the 7th or 8th time because the rings take 14 business days and retailers don’t work weekends or Presidents’ Day??? So, finally, I tell them I am picking up the diamond that was paid for and I have a receipt for and it legally belongs to me and they said no.
At no point in the last 11 weeks have they offered an apology or offered to pay to expedite the process. They are all terrible. They took a beautiful loving surprise from my husband and turned it into a frustrating and sad memory. I will never wear the final ring and I am warning everyone that asks about my ring (if I ever get it) about how terrible they are. Do not buy any custom product from Jared. RUN Away. I am filing a police report to obtain my diamond that I have a receipt for showing paid in full.

A heartbreaking experience at Jared the Galleria of Jewelry, Signet Jewelers! I never write reviews but I felt that our story needed to be told. Back in 2010 my now husband and I went to Jared Jewelers in Chattanooga, Tennessee to purchase our wedding rings and paid for the additional warranty on all rings. We were so pleased with our purchase that we encouraged my son and his now wife to shop at Jared for their special rings as well. I feel guilty now after experiencing what I have that I have exposed them to the same unfair, uncaring treatment.
Two months ago my husband and I were out for the day running errands and decided to drop by Jared in Brandon Florida and get my six month check up on my rings. My rings were in need of rhodium plating so we decided to wait on the check up as well as the cleaning and rhodium plating. We have this done twice a year at Jared with no problems until now. We thought since we were having to wait for 2 1/2 hours for my rings why not have my husband’s wedding ring that we purchase from Jared polished as well. His ring is made of tungsten carbide with a hammered finish and step edge.
This is where the nightmare begins. After an almost 3 hour wait and my husband having to sit in our car to keep the air on so our groceries would not ruin that we had just purchased. Finally I was called the counter to say that our rings were ready. I was completely shocked at the sight of my husband’s wedding band. Remember it’s tungsten carbide with a hammered finish and a step edge. The customer service guy hands me a ring that is unrecognizable!! I actually gasped and said this is not my husband’s ring. I immediately looked inside where we had the ring personnel inscription and to my dismay it was his ring. The salesman behind the counter was very condescending to me and said that’s the best they could do because when we brought it in the hammered finish was worn off and said that he had photos to prove it. Since they take photos of the ring when you bring it in for repairs. So at this point I said, "Great. Let’s see the photos."
Upon him opening up his tablet to look at the photo he said that they could send it back to the repair shop there at that location to see if they could get somewhere close to what we had before but there was no guarantees. He asked me to take the ring out to my husband to see if it was acceptable to him. Needless to say he had the same reaction I did. Completely upset that we had lost all sentimental value with this ring and they didn’t even seem to care. What were we to do with this point? We were at their mercy with no choice but to have them try to restore the ring that had ben ground down to flat silver finish and where the step edges were it was even wavy where it was ground off in some places and not in other places. The ring was also noticeable thinner and out right destroyed by their in house repair shop.
I drove back to the store five days later after receiving a call that my ring was ready for pick up. As soon as they brought the ring out of the bag I knew that we were looking at a completely different ring all together. After expressing my concerns to the person behind the counter they reviewed the previous repair notes and found that the sales guy had even asked for this ring to be rhodium plated when we only asked for a cleaning and I don’t know why you would put rhodium plating on a tungsten carbide ring. It’s not white gold!!
I immediately asked to speak to the manager Jackie about this situation. Let me say she was very nice and cordial and understanding of my issues. But with that being said the decision of a refund could not be made by her alone. I did go ahead and pick up the ring only to bring it home and let my husband witness what I was talking about that not being his ring. Upon further inspection my husband noticed the inscription on the inside was different!!!! They had given us a completely different ring and try to play it off as if it was our original ring.
After about 20 different phone calls between Jackie and corporate office to try to get this resolved and now 5 trips to a store that is over an hour drive one way. I was told that my only option was to get a store credit because we were outside of the refund date. Are you kidding me. How can someone be told that when I purchased the warranty in the first place and used their in-house services to have our ring simply cleaned!!! THEY COMPLETELY RUINED OUR RING THAT HOLD SENTIMENTAL VALUE!! Not only that but they are trying to pass off a brand new ring as his old ring that has been restored.
I contacted corporate office at Signet Jewelers about this as well and was told it is what it is. I can only get a store credit and that’s final. This is so wrong. I even mentioned corporate that I would be writing a blog about this if it wasn’t resolved. The ring with the warranty is around $1,000. They don’t care about their customers. At this point I feel like I should not only be compensated for the total price but for the hours and grief spent on this issue. And don’t forget I have already made 5 trips over an hour drive each way to try to get this resolved.
Unfortunately after my issue with the company I have found a lot of negative reviews for Jared the Galleria of Jewelry as well as Signet Jewelers who own Jared. What they have done to me and my husband is wrong and I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to try to pass off a ring that holds sentimental value as another ring. We have already purchased another wedding band for my husband and have the correct inscriptions put on the inside.
At this point I haven’t even gone back to Jared to get my credit. Apparently they need the money more than I do. Things like this should never happen and if they do at least take ownership. Admit your own faults and be an open book about trying to hand somebody a ring and try to play it off as the rain they originally had. Shame on you!!!! If someone from the company happens to read this and have a heart you can contact Jackie at the Brandon Florida location. She has all my contact information and will know who you were speaking about. Will follow up with before and after and after pictures. B. **

Several issues. Bought the ring 10 years ago and just had it appraised at Jared's last November... for the SAME PRICE we paid 10 years ago!! Had the Aquamarine stones replaced twice in one year (2018) because they were chipped under the Extended Service Plan (ESP). Yet, this third time they wanted to charge me for it as they say the warranty clearly doesn't cover Aquamarine stones, just emerald, rubies and sapphires only. I have the receipts that clearly indicate the previous repairs and the fact they were covered under the ESP. Too bad, they say. Not this time.
Customer service is shoddy at best. One 6 month inspection the rep said all is fine when I knew one of the Aquamarines was loose. He never looked, just cleaned it and was hoping I would leave. Every time I go in (at least every 6 months for the inspection) I get a different story about something. One time they temporarily lost the ring when it was returned from a repair elsewhere. They filed it under W when it should have been M. Go figure. Research the online retailers first. Stay away from this corporate behemoth. Prices too high and service is better at McDonald's.

Bought a ring in store and signed up for a promotional 12 month balance. I got the card for the account about a week later, to which I immediately went online and scheduled the automatic payment for remaining balance divided by 12. This is the same process I have done at every other store that I have done a similar process at. Apparently, however, at Jared's they trigger the promotional balance to expire on the actual day the year ends and NOT on the following statement. This is fundamentally different from every store I've ever dealt with. This caused me get charged the interest on the card even though I had an automatic payment coming.
Their claim is that they informed me by putting some red text on my paperless statement. This isn't good enough because the entire point of the automatic payments is I don't need to micromanage this account. For this to have ever worked I would have had to change the default billing date by knowing their system was flawed. I would not recommend buying anything at this store, especially if you are going to interact with the promotion in any way. They designed this in a perfect way to screw people over.

At the end I got a bill of $2,600 for just a band and she took my ring stating she has to send it so they can re-design. After a week I cancelled due to had an accident and requested my ring back.
They charged $500 for canceling and when they called stating my ring was back I went into the store and Lumba wasn't there. Another salesperson assisted me and handle just a Diamond. I asked where my band was. She went and looked for Armando that is the store manager and he came and told me that I have it to go home and look for it. I explained him that Lumba took it. He called her and she stated that she give it to me. Armando disconnected the call and told me he will call me at the latest in 3 days.
Never received the call till I called. Again Lumba answered and she stated to go to the store. I went after work and advised they can't get it back. Once anything hits the warehouse is no way for them to get them back but they were willing to put the diamond on a Tiffany band for me (like doing me a favor). Finally they did and I went and pick up my ring after a week and of course the Tiffany band is not even gold and I got a $120 gift card for all the mess. Of course Lumba took my band and the original ring was from Jared Jewelry. We always love the jewels from there but for an employees like Lumba and Armando NEVER going back. My husband and I have spent well over $30,000 at Jared's and used their credit card and financing plans. Please be very aware of their terms. We did not have any issues up until this last diamond purchase. My husband and I used the financing deal, the 18 month payoff, to buy the diamond. All other purchases we used their card as well, but had always paid them off a month or two prior to the financing end date. Well, this one, we thought we were good. We did not see the purchase date was the date that all of the finance charges were added on, and got hit with over $1500.00 worth of charges, for a total of $200.00 that was left with our financing deals. The individuals in the store did not say, "The finance deal ends on the purchase date," as I feel they should have.
They said, "Pay it off by your monthly payment date," which as we found out were different, by 8 days. We called and spoke to a manager and they stated that if it were only a few days, they would have not charged the finance charges, well I guess 8 days is not a few. We understand that this is part of our fault as well, because we should have paid it off the month prior, as we had the money, but we didn't worry about it, we just set up our payment like usual, knowing that this would be our last payment, well we at least thought that. Now we're into Jared's for another $1500.00. We had 2 separate credit cards and we closed both of them. We will no longer shop with any of their stores. I will also be looking to trade all of my diamonds into another store, so that I am no longer tied to Jared's and their ESPs either.

I hate to give this place a bad review because it is not their fault but I cannot express how unhappy my fiance and I are with Jared online. My fiancé proposed to me in June 2019, and the ring was too big. I was pregnant at the time so I did not have it sized right away but they put a spacer in the ring until I gave birth in case I was holding water weight. I rarely even wore the ring for this reason. I never wore it to wash my hands, shower, swim, baths, workout, sleep...nothing! I only had it for 2 months and 2 diamonds fell out in it! We took it to this store and they generously sized and replaced the diamonds for free in October (which was great customer service). We thought the issue was resolved and they said they sealed the stones so they stayed in place. I finally gave birth and am wearing the ring more but still not wearing it in water, sleeping, or working out (WHICH I SHOULD BE ABLE TO IF IT IS THAT GOOD OF A RING).
Everyone I know wears their rings 24 hours a day, but I am too scared that my diamonds are going to fall out (especially the center diamond). The ring looks tacky and dirty. After 3 weeks of wearing it, ANOTHER DIAMOND FELL OUT. My fiancé and I are outraged and really want a refund but I have not had any luck getting ahold of their customer service team. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND JARED TO ANYONE FOR THIS REASON!

The watch had been sitting for at least 6 months and we could not get it to start working. I had taken it to Jared because that's where she purchased the watch. Not at the same store but still Jared. The watch was shipped to Tag, I paid 50 dollars for shipping it there and shipping it back. My cousin wanted to pay for it and put it on her Jared Credit card. I was told that they could not do that. What they did tell me that she can go to a Jared store and pay for it at any other Jared, all she needed was the service number. When the watch arrived, I was then told that she could not pay for it there, Keep in mind, this is a 3-4K watch. It's costing over 900 dollars to fix it. And they are telling me that it has to be converted in to a layaway and she can pay for it.
Keep in mind converting to a layaway that they suggested, because they could not do what they had originally told me. Now I am able to get the watch, which I was paying half. NOW I am there to pay for my watch and to finally start to wear it then I was told there was a $90 dollar fee for converting (Converting is done via computer). The GM of the store said that she was paying for some of it...but what she did took the 50 that I had already paid for shipping and put it towards the 90 dollars, so I would only have to pay 40 dollars. They opened an account for my boyfriend, in case we chose to come back and purchase it. They told us they would hold the products for two weeks, and if they did not hear back within that time frame then they would no longer be holding the items for us. We had decided not to go with that product, and a month later we got a bill in the mail from Jared!! It was a service fee, they had apparently meshed the band and stone together and then undone it when we never came back.
We OF COURSE called and the store redirected us to the Comenity Bank, to which they redirected us back to Jared because ONLY they can clear a bill. WE NEVER ONCE PURCHASED A SINGLE THING!!! I was only given a slim selection of choices of center stones from that dirty showcase in the store. The salesperson made no effort to suggest that she could have one ordered, check another store, not anything. She only wanted to make the sale. I later canceled the order before I picked it up, and oh my it took me going back and forth with Comenity Bank to get my refund.
I was stupid yes, I said it so that hopeful no one else reading this review would make the same mistake. I went back to the store and make a better choice, but it did not come with a band. I purchased the service plan and paid commission fees, sizing fees, changing head fees also for the first ring. Then, I believe I was charged all these fees again when I only had the ring for 3 months and only wore it twice. I was told I received trade-in value of what I purchased it for, but Jared's at Stone Crest in Lithonia Georgia will not give me a break down of what I actually paid and was given credit for.

My 30 days had passed because it was purchased last month on the 15th and today is the 19th of the following month.
I want to know exactly what I paid for, as the amount that appeared on my account plus the downpayment in the store exceeds the amount I thought I was quoted. NOTHING was on discount or sales, so it's not like they were rewarding me with anything. I just don't want to be taken advantage of and paying twice for commission fees and service maintenance fees, when I had not had the first ring 3 mts. BOTTOM LINE. THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
I would admit that Lisa and Leah were great with assisting me with the second ring choice. However, when I called back into the store, Lilly was extremely rude, Horrible customer service skills. Borderline nasty. The "Manager" Pam, will not come to the phone and speak with me. I have left her several messages. I was told she was at lunch and to call back in an hour. Called within 2 hours and was told again she was at lunch, I said I was told that two hours ago and then they said, well she is not in the store. I called back three time the same night from 6pm to 9pm, left another message with Regina after being told she was with a customer. At Lunch, Not available, Stepped out of the store, At lunch again, on the phone, busy helping customer, all of these are more like avoiding me at this time.
I have left my name and number with 4 different salespeople and still no return phone call. I am highly disappointed to say the lease when I have spent over 16K with this store and I can't even get a simple return phone call from the manager. Yes I would not EVER spend another dime in this store and wish to God I had wasted my time or money to be treated so poorly after the sale. I have purchased items from James Allen online and at Bashinski in Macon, Ga. I have always received great service. They need more training in every area. This is ridiculous and I really feel as if they can CARE LESS AS LONG AS THEY MADE A SALE.

I am 69 years old, my husband bought me a lovely necklace from here based on their advertising during the holidays. Told me I could exchanged it if I wasn’t happy. I never wore it, was too light for my taste, but the store is not close so didn’t rush. Anyway, exchanged it for something more expensive ($1500+more) and asked them to change the clasp as the it was so tiny I couldn’t get my shaky fingers onto it. They wanted $150 additional more! I’ve shopped in better places than Jared that would have done this for no charge! I refused to pay after spending $5,000 on a necklace.
Shame on them for their cheap clasps. The clasp has already stuck in a slight open position and allowed the diamond to slide off to the floor without my noticing it. I won’t be going back to get a clasp from these shysters. I’ll go local. I might mention I was going to take my jewelry there to have it appraised (10 pieces). They lost that business as well. Nice store, nice staff, poor business and customer service. Do your research, don’t be abused.

Do not go here unless you want to get ripped off! I had a ring made here about four years ago that is a standard stackable, white gold ring with birthstones (eternity band) all around it. The gentleman was great and made exactly what we wanted. Come to this week and I wanted the same exact thing made with a different birthstone. Was told by the female sales rep that they don't make that ring anymore and a new one would cost over $1,400 because it would have to be special ordered. She also purposely gave me the wrong size for the stones so it would have to be made "special". I knew this wasn't right so I went home and did some research.
Ordered a ring that I thought was it (since she gave me the size of the stones) and had it made and delivered. The stones were too big. Took the original ring to a mom and pop shop and they told me the correct measurements for everything. Did some more research and guess what, I found exactly the same one as the one previously made four years ago and it cost me less than $350 to customize and mail it to my house. I saved myself over $1,000 by not using this store. I suggest you do the same.

I did not need to exchange and ultimately pawned my stuff at a fraction of the cost. I did return to purchase items in later years as I have enjoyed my other shopping experiences.

Comes the day to pick up the ring and the engraving is completely gone, sanded down, you had to use a magnifying glass to see where it even was. The ring was actually not even evenly resized. We wait for them to fix the engraving. Comes back with a different engraving then when asked for refund the person offers a store credit. When I heard about this and call back to get the refund the storefront desk person tells me to come back in person. I will never ever step my foot in this Jared. Keep the money. Just a few months later after looking at the billing summary, I see that I am getting charged interest at a ridiculous monthly rate (27%). I call to see why this was the case, and find out the sales associate never set me up for that promotional deal. In order to get the deal you had to put down 20% of the purchase amount.
He never told me that or even mentioned it to me. Now I am out over 300 dollars that all went to interest. After calling multiple times and going into the store twice, all they said to me was "Sorry that really sucks, there is nothing we can do about it." I bought an expensive watch from Jared's in Mission Valley, San Diego. I paid for the extra "buckle to buckle" 3-year protection which covered anything no questions asked. I was also told explicitly a 30-day money-back guarantee. Upon purchasing the watch two things happened: The saleswoman asked how I wanted to the receipt - email, paper or both. I said email was fine.
The saleswoman suggested that I wear it out of the store. I said sure. I put it on, it was too large. She said that it needed to be resized. She went to get the GM (the only one "qualified" to resize the bracelet for some reason - at a jeweler's). It took him 30 minutes to come out, I tried to leave a few times and was told to just wait that he would be out any minute. Finally he came out, looked at the watch and said, "yup, needs resizing. We can do that for you." It took him another 20 to remove two links from the bracelet. No exaggeration. He was sitting over the watch with metal tools and a loop for 20 minutes.
I put the watch on, wore it out, went to the parking lot and took it off to put it back in the box. I wasn't 100% sure and thought I'd give it another look in the morning and figured if it wasn’t right the 30-day money back guarantee would be OK. Two days later, after careful consideration and not wearing the watch, I decided to return it. I walked in, explained my situation, and immediately a different sales women came over to try and convince me to exchange it and not return it. I said, ”no thanks, I’m going to return it until I decide on the right watch.” Then the original saleswoman came over and said the GM said no returns. So I went to speak with him.
The same GM said, "No returns. Only exchanges." I said it had been clear that there was a 30-day money back return policy - and he said, ”You wore it out of the store. And it was altered. Read your receipt.” I explained I had only received the email of it and there was nothing to read. Also, if that was policy that should have been at least mentioned before I made alterations or wore it out of the store, because I wouldn't have done that until I was sure. He said, "You should have read your receipt," (with a gitty grin).
Then he said, ”let me see the watch.” And pulled it immediately looking on the bottom to say, ”There are scratches on it. We can’t take it back anyway. You’ve been wearing it.” I explained I hadn’t worn the watch, not even once, after leaving the store and it had gone immediately back into the box. AND that it seemed more likely his 20 minutes of working on it with metal tools was likely to have been the issue. OR that he sold me a scratched watch. I explained I had been a loyal customer for 6 years, and had spent $7k with them on wedding rings and he just shrugged.
I also reminded him I only wore it out and altered it because his saleswoman suggested it. And that I had tried to leave and was asked to stay to make the alterations. He threatened to call the police if I didn’t leave. This is a SCAM plain and simple. This is not the deal I paid for and was hand-held into keeping the watch. I’m currently exploring options, but as of now, I’m out of the money and feeling very taken advantage of.

One of the changes they recently made was with the watch batteries. I love watches as does my mom so years ago we bought the lifetime battery package. Went in to get a new battery and was told they no longer were changing them at the store, but it would have to be sent off. Ok, kind of a pain, but ok I have several watches. I can be without one for 5-6 weeks which I thought was crazy long. Then to be told it is $25 to be sent off and that is $25 for each watch. If I brought in a few of them at a time it is still $25 a piece!
I was told because they had scratched watches replacing the battery and have had to replace the watches due to damage they could no longer do it. Ok, again I understand, but with all the lawyers you have I would think you could come up with a contract that we sign saying Jared's not held responsible for any damage done during change of battery. Seem's like easy solution to me instead of a huge price to send off a watch for a battery that cost way less than that. Needless to say of how the people treated me informing me of this change. My fiancé purchased an engagement ring from Jared’s for me. On April 5, 2018 we went back to get a band. We decided on a custom made band to go with the ring. We were told that this process would take about 6 weeks. We were told that we would be getting an email to approve the custom design and that once the design is approved it would be sent off to make a cast and that the cast would come back and need to be approved. We paid a down payment and expected to hear from the store to move along with the process. An email was sent for us to approve the design and we did and sent the approval email back. Thinking that our ring would then be sent off to start making the wax cast.
One month from the initial time that we went to the store I called to see where things were as far as the process was concerned. No one in the store could answer our questions or knew anything about our account/ case. As we investigated further we found out that the sales associate that handled our sale had transferred to another store and did not inform anyone about the account/case to pick up where he left off. In between all of this my fiancé Mr. ** went to the store to pay the balance on the band and was told that he did not need to at that time. Once the sales associate who handled our sale got in contact with us we were told that the ring had not been sent off because they needed a payment. No one called us to let us know this and we had not called the ring would have just sat there at the store.
Once all of that was straightened out we paid the full balance on the band and the band was sent to make the wax cast. I kept up calling to inquire about the cast and when it came in I went to approve it on Sunday July 23, 2018 and I was told that it would be sent out within the week and I would have my band in 2-3 weeks. Three weeks later I call the store and spoke to a sales associate who told me that he spoke with someone from the jewelry shop and that the band should be in within the next week.
I called within that week and was then told by another sales associate that the wax cast had just been sent off and it would be about 2-3 weeks before the band comes back. Jared’s has had my engagement ring for 5 months and a process that was supposed to take 6-8 weeks is taking 5-6 months. I am very much so dissatisfied with Jared’s and the only reason I have not cancelled the whole thing is because it is too far into the process to cancel. This is poor customer service and I will not be making any more purchases from Jared’s once this is complete.

And the rep who sold me the necklace, never told me that altered chains (even though JARED altered it), cannot be returned or exchanged. And cannot exchange it for store credit, for another purchase. Spend your money elsewhere! There’s too many hidden policies that keep Jared’s hands clear, while the consumer gets robbed AFTER the fact!
There’s a reason we’ve all posted here! Jared has basically abandoned us! And to those out there that are reviewing reviews of Jared, DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY THERE! You will regret it. So I’ll enjoy the chain, because I still have to pay for it. But I won’t purchase anything else from Jared’s. There are many other jewelry stores out there. I no longer recommend Jared. I can't. Last experience turned my attention away not just from the Manchester, NH Jared, but from the whole chain. I believed this company stood behind their workmanship and quality control, but I was wrong. Took them 12 weeks to RESIZE a beautiful, garnet-clustered 18 Karat Gold ring. In the process they REPLACED at least five stones, due to their fault. The substitutes are now different from the rest in color. Worrying that more damage would be done, I walked away with a ring that had one sharp and chipped stone and a visibly noticeable line and burrs at resizing site.
It was a long 12 weeks, sometimes with no interaction and other times with miscommunication and many times "...my apologies we accidentally cracked a stone, ...my apologies it is taking so long, ...my apologies you are not satisfied ..." During this whole time I was hoping for a well done job from a reputable company. Jared handles many expensive and beautiful items, but they were no match to my little piece of art. Our once considered masterpiece is now damaged and reduced in attractiveness and value.

Jared's makes you feel welcome when you walk through the door, then the salesperson begins the pressure of apply for credit. The saleslady kept pressuring me to apply and see what I qualify for, I ended up applying. She said I qualified for a 18 month no interest and she began showing me diamonds, she showed me one that fit in the amount I qualified for. She stated that is was great quality and great clarity and insisted I put the diamond on my credit account to hold it so it doesn't get sold. Again feeling pressured I agreed. I went through with the purchase and some time went by, I received some notice that interest would begin on my account. I called and spoke with multiple people explaining that the sales lady told me I had 18 month no interest. This was very stressful and finally resolved.
I later had the ring cleaned at a jewelry store and I asked about the ring and was told it was a low clarity and was overcharged. I called Jared's corporate office to explain my concerns about being misled by the saleslady of the clarity and overcharged, I was told to go get an appraisal. I spent money and got an appraisal, then I was told it wasn't good and I had to get another. I went to an appraiser Jared's set me up with. The appraiser did not inspect, measure or truly appraise the ring. The appraiser looked at the serial number and used the information on a website to appraise the ring.
The lady in the corporate office explained to me she was sorry the saleslady misled me, and there is nothing she can do and the appraisal that Jared's set me up with shows the rings value is above what I paid. But the appraisal clearly states that it is for insurance purposes and I have an email from Jared's corporate office that states an insurance appraisal is not valid. They say whatever they want to make it good for them. Stay far away from this company. I want a refund for the ring, which I just had inspected and is in great condition. I was lied to and misled, pressured into using a credit line I was approved for. I have all the original material. I am prepared to go to court if this can't be resolved between us.

Each time we knew that the engagement ring we would have to pay extra for because we did not purchase from Jared. I was in the army when I married and we bought the ring in another town. After we moved here we bought the rest of the pieces from Jared.
When we came into the store we went through the drop off procedures, normal questions. The person was new so finding our items in their new database was a challenge. After everything was complete the person training had asked one of the other floor personnel to come and appraise my rings. His questions were very offending, almost like I was lying about how much I paid. Now I understand why those questions were asked for the insurance purpose, but the person did not deliver to me the customer in a polite way or even semi-polite.
Now after all that they took our rings, letting us know they would take some time which was understandable so we went shopping. During our shopping trip Jared called us to let us know, that a policy that was not enforced for 8 years had finally been enforced. They could not clean or rhodium plate the engagement ring (the one we did not buy from them) and was not very forthcoming about why the policy was now just put into place.
I can understand policy and I can understand the mechanics of the questions for the appraisal. The way we were treated though I think was very unfortunate, and I really hope others will not have to go through what we went through. 8 years all ruined by poor customer service and a policy that is antiquated, and outdated. This was just our experience. Nothing more. We will be looking for a more local jeweler. We live in Graham and used to drive all the way to Tacoma just to get the rings serviced. Which we could have done anywhere but really liked the past service, but now I am not sure anymore.

Took my rings in to have them looked at and they told me I had 4 chipped diams and 4 loose diamonds so I ok them to do some work on my rings while I talked to the insurance company. They did nothing for 3 wks. When I asked, "Is my rings finished?" They said, "We thought you were ordering new diamonds" when it took three weeks to even get a estimate. No one knew what they were even doing and I called and talked to them 8 times and the manager would not even look at me, apologize for how uneducated their employees are and what a rip-off company. It took them 2 hrs. of my time to get a estimate of all the things wrong with my rings. Run for your life because they will penny pinch you to death and keep adding and adding. It never ends. When you end it and just want out it takes two months to get your money back.

I was at Jared today because my husband forwarded me Jared's email that my jewelry are due for cleaning and inspection. So I went there with the paperwork and receipts as proof that I own the yellow diamond jewelry. The Indian lady was not typical salesperson, she did not address me as (Ma'am/Madam), but talked to me as if I was just another employee. I am not, and my husband spent thousands in their store to get me this gift of pair of earrings and necklace. I felt this employee is prejudiced against Asians. I sensed that she could not believe I would own such jewelry. Anyway, she proceeded to cleaning the items and began convincing me to look for new items in the store (so can spend more). I was not interested in spending more money. I told her that the jewelry is a gift to me, and she should change the name of ownership from my husband's name to mine.
She also has to change the phone number and email address to mine, since I am the owner of the items and I am the one having it cleaned, etc... The Indian Sales Person was very hesitant to even change the phone number, and I do not know what her problem is when I have all the receipts with me! I was insulted by her lack of response and respect. I am an American citizen, and I bet she is not -- and most likely have a biased towards people of ** who are well-off. So what happened next is she told me that I should ask my husband to come to the store and have the account ownership changed. When I ask my husband to do that, he was upset because when he bought the jewelry he specifically TOLD THEM MY NAME and it was for me. And because he has to do another trip to just to fix this, he told me that he WILL NEVER BUY AT JARED again!

I walked into the Colorado Mills Jared Jewelers at 10:15 am on March 1, 2018. I was dressed in a sweatshirt and jeans. I wanted to have my wedding band cleaned, as I had purchased it there, and to purchase a gift for my daughter and wife. Upon entering, I found myself literally surrounded by five people, including a man who stood squarely between myself and the exit. At the time, I was in an extreme hurry, so I proceeded to ask to have my ring cleaned. Since I was so hurried, I purchased a necklace and four charms for my wife's Pandora bracelet, because I thought they were the exclusive dealer.
The man who blocked my exit when I entered stayed where he was until I began filling out the credit application. I felt like I was treated like a common criminal. While I spent less than $1000, I was approved for much more. It seems that every time I have entered this store, I have been either followed or treated with disrespect by the employees and management. I will never take my business to this company again and I will share this story with anyone who will listen. And while their jewelry is very nice and tasteful, I will take my business elsewhere when it comes to jewelry in the future.

On my birthday, October 12, 2017 I went to Jared located on 301 Plano Pkwy, Plano, Tx and bought a necklace for myself to engrave it with my daughters name, I have seen the necklace online. I wanted to get a single tag necklace but they told me they only had a double tag one for a little less than 300.00 and told me engraving will be 45 dollars.
I ended up paying 500.00 because engraving was 90.00 and a service plan was 75.00 + taxes for everything. I spent 3 hours of my birthday for this transaction. I asked them to resize the necklace from 16" to 14" and they told me I had to come back next day to get the necklace resized. I went next day and they had engraved on the back and also had taken 2" from one side so the tags were not centered after the fix, so I had to leave the necklace and come back next day.
Next day, the necklace was too short because they made it 13" so it did not fit my neck, I had to leave it again and come back next day. Next day, the saleswoman, brought the necklace from the shop and put it on me without me seeing it up-close, so at that moment, I did not notice that the necklace was poorly welded at least in 2 different parts.
I asked for the 2" they took from my necklace as I paid for a 16" gold necklace; I wanted to keep the pieces in case I needed them in the future. They told me that because they had to resize it so many times, there was no pieces left, so I asked the manager to get me the pieces because it was not my fault they had to resize it so many times. I had to call many times and speak with several people to get a promise that I would get the pieces, but before I could get those pieces, my necklace broke and I had to take it to repair.
At this point, I asked to get a new necklace because I just noticed the welded parts and I knew it will break again. The manager was very rude and hateful telling me that that was impossible, and I was not getting a new necklace even though I showed him the welded parts. Also, they gave me 2 pieces of some material that looked like copper as the pieces that I was asking for since I got the necklace. I told them I did not want those pieces, and I wanted a 16" necklace as I paid for. They promise they will fix the necklace perfectly this time, they will make 16" and it will not look poorly welded, I just needed to wait a week.
I went to the store on the day stated on my receipt and again they were very rude, they treated me as if I was begging for charity and told me with a very bad attitude that they have to order a new chain for my necklace because I had it resized so many times (again another argument about not being my fault), and they will call me on Tuesday next week. They did not call me the whole week, so I called them today (Sunday) to ask for my necklace and an employee told me 3 times that I had picked up my necklace already, so I got very worried and sad and angry and told them I was coming to the store (and I swear I was coming there to call the police) so when I get there, they just tell me it was a mistake and the shop told them that they have ordered the whole necklace and it hasn't arrived yet, so they will call me when they have it.
There was no apology, no explanation why they told me that my necklace had been picked up, I even called the store on my way to let them know I was arriving and they did not tell me that the employee gave me a wrong information. The manager only came to me to tell me that all of this happened because the necklace has been resized so many times (AGAIN) and with a very hateful look he asked me to leave and wait for their call whenever that will be. I feel frustrated, I just want to go to the police and ask if this is even legal. I have never felt so much hate and discrimination towards me in my entire life. I feel like I lost 500 dollars, but all the stress that this has caused me it's worse than losing the money. I will tell everybody I know to never ever shop at that store until I have no voice left. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. IT JUST FEELS SO PERSONAL.

On December 1st I brought my wife’s ring in for a cleaning. They quickly cleaned it and informed me that I may want to have one of the center prongs tightened. The side diamonds looked great. I advised that I’d need to check with the wife, as I was instructed not to let her ring out of my sight (she’s a bit protective of it). I was quoted a repair cost of $49 and change, not bad at all. In the meantime, I inquired about having the battery on my Movado Fiero replaced. They told me they’d need to send the watch out for repair and it could take 4-6 weeks. Besides the pricey quote, I was OK with it. I told them I would most likely be back after I ran the ring repair by the wife and was able to get my Movado from home. Now, the fun begins…
I return on the 2nd to drop off the Movado and also give the green light to repair the ring. This time, I am told upward to 10-12 weeks for the Movado… oh well, it is what it is. Upon their inspection of the ring, they now tell me the side stones are loose and also need to be tightened with an all-in repair cost of $120. When I inform them I was in the day prior for a cleaning and was told the side stone were fine, they quickly brush it off and look at me confused and say, “No sir, they are clearly loose and should be repaired.” Not too happy, but OK. We’re talking an additional $70 and the peace of mind on something I spent thousands of dollars on.
In the meantime, I found a nice pair Pandora Mickey Mouse earrings for the wife. Since we’re going to Disney in January, it was perfect! I return later that night around 6:40 pm to pick up the ring and was told “we said 7 pm, you’re early.” They then stalled talking to me for some time and the following explains why... When the jeweler was attempting fix the center prongs holding the center stone, they crumpled like tin foil. “Don’t worry he is wrapping it up now.” The repair jeweler spoke to me directly and said it’s not common, but it does happen. So I pay the $120+ cost, buy the earrings for my wife and head home and wait for the call that my Movado is done. I get home and surprise the wife with her ring and new earrings to find out that the earrings post on one is bent downward. We return later in the week for a new set. Simply a case of bad luck, right?
Well, on Dec. 14th I get the call that my Movado is in, yay! I go to pick it up and immediately notice a gap in the tungsten casing (front near where watch face meets the band). I quickly ask for the condition report they wrote up when I initially dropped off the watch (neither rep knew what I was talking about until I physically showed them my carbon copy). I show them the gap in my $3000 watch and how it is nowhere to be found on the condition report. When I say gap, I mean, it looks like someone took a chisel to it and broke off a piece.
Clearly noticeable! This is a tungsten watch. What kind of force did that take? All I got from the reps was, “You’re right sir. We’ll have to send this out to get fixed.” I took my paperwork back and asked that I get a call as soon as it comes back. I’m no jeweler but from the location of the gap, the entire watch case (face) will need to be replaced and I’m pretty confident this watch is no longer manufactured. It’s been approximately a week and I have gotten no update or follow-up. Extremely upset with “my luck” thus far. The consistently poor service from a company that alleges to be a premier jeweler has only compounded my stress of trying to protect some of my family’s most valuable pieces. I will be sure to update my review here and elsewhere once my Movado is repaired.

Monday afternoon I stop in to pick them up - first they couldn't find them, when they finally did they weren't finished. I was told it would be 15 minutes. When they were ready the sales associate called me over - no apology for the confusion, just handed me the rings. I requested she check the stones again since I want to be sure everything is ok before leaving the store. She tells me she already did. I told her she didn't do it in my presence and I would like it done again. She rolled her eyes! I requested customer service without the attitude.
As she walked back to check the stones, she told another associate "she wants me to check the stones again". This other associate, who was in no way involved in this interaction didn't need to know this. She checked the stones and handed me the receipt to sign, I was then told I could not keep a copy for my records. I asked for the store manager and was told - without even checking - that she was on the phone. I asked for her information and the sales associate's name. I've written to the store manager to complain about the horrendous customer service this associate provided without response.

After finding this information out I went back into the store to see if there was anything that they could do for me regarding the sterling silver piece and as I explained to them I would not have bought a piece of jewelry for 800 almost $900 and can't do anything with it. It is a rip-off. I've taken it into three jewelry stores. One person told me they will offer me $15 for it.
I called back to Jared Corporation and all they could tell me the only thing that they could do or what do was to trade it in to spend more money. It had been 2 days since my bank had cleared the funds and we're waiting for Jared's to accept the payment. My 10 year anniversary was coming up and thought I would buy my wife something special. Guess I should have just gone to a local jewelry store but I be always shopped at Jared's but we moved and live in Fargo now and there isn't any Jared's near us. My experience with the customer service folks was the worst ever. Not only did they say they were not accepting payment but the lady sounded like she just woke up and I could barely understand some of what she was saying. Her tone was she did not care and "why are you bugging me."
They said they had different information email, phone number etc than what I had provided. Very confusing to me since I had an email that provided me with a confirmation number with all the same information that Jared's was saying was not correct. It was almost like they did not have the product so they could not fill the order. The disappointment and now I am in a rush to find something for my wife in the next 3 days is enough for me to say I am happy that I will never spend a penny with Jared's again. I wish they had a customer service for their customer service so I could get this person fired. I've never had such a bad experience in dealing with a customer service dept. Even Walmart is more professional which is why I am so bothered by how I was treated. I feel like I got mugged or robbed by this person.
I was so looking forward to giving my wife this necklace and pair of ear rings. Now nothing and I have limited amount of time to make it happen. I plan to shop elsewhere but will voice what has happened at the Jared's we once shopped with. Maybe by bringing this to someone's attention something will get fixed. Either way I am pissed... Jared is no longer a part of our Christmas and Holiday experience. Confirmed with bank Jared's dropped accepting payment and I told bank to not let it go through then. My bank said that Jared's only had until tomorrow to accept payment or they would refuse the payment anyways. Any future conversations with anyone about Jared's will be to convince others not to go through this company. Seemed more like a scam or a fake business. So disappointed...

My fiance brought my engagement ring for me back in Nov. 2016. He proposed to me the next day after buying it. I took it in for its 6 month cleaning about April 2017, after being questioned about where he had brought the ring and if I was sure he had brought it from them or if I had ever had it clean or worked on anywhere else, they had told me that the ring I have does not match the ring he had purchased (the one on his original receipt) in fact the ring I have was worth over $10,000 (his original one only being about $5,000) and looks to them that a mistake had been made when he had picked up my ring the first time and he had received the wrong one! SO here I am confused as to what happens now, that is a huge mistake on their end. After a few employees had left to discuss the situation, they had came back to me and both had said the mistake was entirely on them, I have nothing to worry about, what's done is done, and they promised that no one would take my ring it was now mine. They did advise me to get an appraisal on it since the one on the receipt doesn't match what I have, that way if anything ever happened to it I would be able to replace it with the same value of what it is and not the one that my fiance was supposed to receive in the beginning. So I did just that. In May I took it in the get appraised, payed for it, and they said I would hear back in 2 weeks at most. A week went by and my fiance got a call from the appraiser, he was also confused by the ring not matching the one on the receipt, he explained the situation and they carried on with the appraisal. I had figured the whole 2 week wait had restarted. So on June 17, I had realized I still haven't heard anything from them, so I called them that evening. They put me on with the manager Dustin who had then told me, that they had found there is a police report on the ring I have, from the family it had originally belonged to, the diamond was there family heirloom and they would be pleased to hear that it had been located. He asked if we would come in the speak with him, I had set the time for Monday but after my fiance had seen me balling my eyes out he didn't want to wait til then. That same night my fiance and I had dropped by to get this settled, Dustin had discussed a few different things that may happen, but in the end he wanted to make sure that I was happy with what I have and same with this family that it belongs to. He said he was the middle man with cooperate and he was waiting to hear from them so if we could come back as planned on Monday. On the Monday June 19th my fiance and I had went in he took us to his office, his wanting to make sure I left happy was no longer his concern. Dustin had said they found the ring my fiance had originally purchased so all there is left was to give back what I have and take that one. He said if I didn't return that ring, that they would press charges on my fiance for theft, since they have him on camera the day he picked it up. That he should have known that wasn't his to begin with.
My fiance has never done this before in his life, he was nervous, and the same employee that he had originally designed it with was the one that delivered it to him the day he picked it up. So I find it a little funny that they put this on him and nothing on the employee! Because of the threat, we had done the exchange and my fiance took it to cooperate himself. After speaking with multiple people they all would say something should be done to make us happy and we should be compensated for our troubles and they would transfer us to someone new, in the end the final decision is a refund or to just except that I had lost what I thought was my ring this whole time and take the original one.
I am not trying to be greedy, but honestly to be proposed to with a ring show it to family and friends, go on planning the wedding and thinking about buying wedding bands soon, to having what I felt was mine be taken from me and nothing was done to make me happy, is complete crap!

This is not a scathing review, but rather an informed and honest review for anyone intelligent enough to check this site before entering into a long-standing business relationship, whereby hundreds, and in most cases thousands of dollars would be spent. My wife and I have been customers of the Bridgeport Jared The Galleria of Jewelry for more than five years now, and we've developed strong, friendly personal relationships with many of the sales staff and managers.
Over the course of five years we've purchased all of our precious quality jewelry there, from each daughter's sweet 16 rings, to my wife's cherished Pandora bracelet complete with 10 priceless charms that tell her story. Several necklaces and earrings for gifts, watches, and plans to buy the Tag Heuer my wife has fallen in love with for a very nice price tag upon my retirement this coming September. We had fun picking each of these items out as the great sales staff poured time and attention into each purchase that any one of us came to them for. They called us by name, we called them by name.
All that being said, tonight a very disheartening thing happened. I had taken my Raymond Weil watch into them because, after 3 years and incredibly meticulous care, it just stopped. They told me at the time I took it in that the extended warranty I had purchased had only just expired within the last month. I was bummed, but knew that because of the relationship we had developed, and the thousands of dollars we had spent with the intention of spending thousands more over the life of our family with so many women, girls, guys who love a good deal and great customer service, and even the friends we had already sent there... It would all be good and they would take care of the watch for me. After all, that's what I would have done, that's what any company offering quality goods and stellar customer service would do.
Sadly, that's not what happened, not at all. After waiting three weeks to find out what was wrong with my watch, and what they might be able to do for me, I was contacted by someone I didn't know who was well prepped to explain to me that the watch needed a new movement because it had moisture damage. I wore this watch maybe three times a month, and the rest of the time it was kept securely in a dry, moisture free case. I was also told that it was going to cost $225 to fix. WHAT?? I didn't know this person, and she wasn't offering any helpful advice on how this was going to get taken care of. After talking to someone I did know, Lisa, a wonderful lady who always remembered me and my family by name from the first time she helped us, I was reassured that she would make sure I was taken care of. Alas, not so.
The manager called several minutes later, a gal by the name of Jill, who apparently didn't care about the strong business relationship I had developed with her store. She informed me in a very straight, almost monotone voice and demeanor that the warranty had expired and there was nothing more they could do, twice. I was honestly floored. I understand about warranties, that's not in question, what I don't understand is an inherent lack of caring for good customers, customers you know are going to be coming back, spending more money with you, bringing their friends. We won't be going back to Jared The Galleria of Jewelry. We enjoyed the relationships we fostered, but had I read any one of the countless reviews from this site prior to our first purchase, we never would have wasted our time, and apparently our money.

Took a 1 carat ring into their store and one of the "diamond repairers" said my diamond was loose and he needed to keep it immediately to fix the prongs and secure the diamond. I got my ring, which he did not want to relinquish, and headed to my regular jeweler. He showed me the prongs were not loose and the diamond was secure. The man just wanted to swap out my diamond, which was a very good one, for a cheap imitation. This is my opinion and mine alone. Why else would he want to keep my ring and for me not to walk out of the store with it?

Unfortunately, we made the mistake of purchasing a watch and wedding rings from Jared. Needless to say the only thing they can do in the store inspect my jewelry and rhodium plate it. Other than that forget it. They have an excuse for why they cannot do anything. This is the latest. My Tissot watch is missing a pin for the band. of course they could not do anything with the watch, it would have to be shipped out. When my watch needed a battery, "sorry. We have to ship it out." My husband's 2nd wedding band has to be shipped out to be replaced and the reality of it is you have no choice if you want to use the extended service plan or warranty to cover it. Even though they are right there to greet you as you walk in the door don't let that fool you into thinking they have great customer service. That is the furthest thing from the truth. There again excuse after excuse.
My next big complaint with them is the amount of time I have to spend in the store in order to leave my wedding ring to be re-plated. It is roughly 45 minutes, between filling out the paperwork, the clerk has to draw a picture of my ring so to know it is the ring I brought (have they ever heard of a camera?). Then after the picture is draw and the paperwork is completed then I have to sign (you think you are done but nope not yet). Now the manager has to sign. The whole process is around 45 minutes, just to drop a ring off for servicing. MY ADVICE IS TO STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM JARED. THEY ARE NO MORE THAN A MALL JEWELRY STORE.

This experience relates to the Jared's in Rockville. I very seldom write bad reviews (even when unhappy), because I don't like being negative. However, the experience of getting wedding bands from Jared's was bad for multiple reasons, so in this case, I am taking out the time to do this. My husband had gotten the engagement ring for me somewhere else and now I wish we had done the same for our wedding bands. We made a custom design with Jared's, nothing too elaborate, but still custom.
Well, not only did they get some of the details on one of the rings wrong after they kept forgetting and re-asking how we wanted things, but they talked to us with an air of superiority. The first person who began helping us was great (but I am convinced she is their only good employee) and as we were deciding what we wanted, she showed us the kinds of things we indicated we were interested in. But then she had to transfer us to someone else to be helped and it all went downhill from there.
The man who then began helping us was just plain annoying and would keep talking about and trying to sell us merchandise even after we politely indicated that we were looking for something else. Then we bounced around between 2 different employees who would take turns wasting our time and talking about how nice our rings would be and that we would like them and explaining things we didn't care about before finally half-way answering questions we had actually asked. Then they made a mistake in the payment and wouldn't let my husband pay the whole amount when he had made a special trip to the store to do so.
They then call right after our wedding and want us to come back just to pay the remainder (like we just want to waste more of our time). When we indicated that we were not pleased with the service, we were brushed off with a "well, the rings turned out good" and they gave us a clumsy, cheap bracelet holder and expected that this dollar store item should make us happy and make up for the hours of our time that they wasted. (We didn't bother making them correct the mistake on the one - we were done dealing with them.)
The process was long and filled with incompetence. On top on multiple individuals being bad at their jobs, several of the employees would say things that implied, "sorry for his error, let me take care of you." Right after we pointed out an error the blame - shifter had made. Most of the employees said a lot of words, but there tended to be little actual content and meaning those words - it was excessive babble.

Jared is a place you can go for jewelry that is nice, and not too expensive. The stores are very clean and well thought out. The displays are easy to see and understand what they are selling. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and polite, and they know the products that they sell, and will work with the customer to find just the right gift for the occasion.

I attempted to place an order online that never was processed and yet they still charged my card. I never received an email or a confirmation number of this purchase. So I called the next day and spoke to 4 different customer service reps and a supervisor who all not only gave me different responses but also are telling me that I have to wait 24 to 48 hours to get my money back that they put on hold. Now my issue is if my order wasn't processed nor did I receive a confirmation or email which is supposed to be their policy. Who the hell do they think they are to tell me when I can have my hard earned money!!! This company is a scam and I'm highly upset that I have to deal with this only days before Christmas. I would never recommend this site to anyone else and I can only pray that they didn't do this to anyone else at this time.

I received a "new" Citizen watch as a gift, bought at an Atlanta area Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry. The watch came without documentation in what looked like a worn box. I contacted the store it had been purchased from and they said they had no record of it being sold there. I pressed the matter and they found out it had been sold from their store but there was no documentation. They tracked the watch to an outlet in Connecticut that said they "may have special-ordered" the watch but that it was the Atlanta store's responsibility to track. Neither store would say whether this was a new watch or a return. The Atlanta store was sure it was the Connecticut store's fault and vice versa. The Atlanta store refuses to take the watch back either for a refund or an exchange. Tracking and research is up to me. Jared's policy is "you're on you're own."

I began the process of ordering a necklace online last evening. The webpage for Jared's was extremely slow and tried to spoof a "protection" service for my credit card. When I said "no thanks", it sat for over 5 min with completing the transaction. I logged out, and repeated the transaction again believing the first attempt was unsuccessful. As it turns out, both transactions went through, but I was not aware of this until I check my email the next morning and saw there were two confirmations for two different transactions. I call and was told that a transaction can only be canceled within an hour of being placed. Be aware of their crappy website. Their return better be free and the refund quick. Never using this crappy company again.

I went to the store to see if I qualified for a credit increase and it's not even two months that I've paid my balance off. They advised me my card account was closed after reviewing me for an increase because I had delinquent activity on my credit history, mind you my credit score has increased, one doctor bill hit my credit, and I forgot to pay my student loan. I was never late paying them and always paid on time. The card is a ripoff, they stole money from me and after I paid my balance off they decided to completely close my account and try to apply again in six months. If this is the way their system work I will never get a credit card from them again because they could do whatever they want to and good payment history with them doesn't matter. Be sure to read the fine print in their credit application because what I experienced was in there but didn't think they would cancel due to two delinquent activities on my account!!!

I had my new Tag sent in for service when the rotor detached inside the watch. While waiting I read the reviews on here about Jared and got pretty scared. When I got my watch back the case back was all scuffed from the removal tool so I reached out to corporate. I must say, they really did right by me. I'm sure a lot of the stories on here did happen. I'm just here to voice my experience because the main store can only do so much. Some might find more assistance dealing directly to corp. They exchanged my watch, I upgraded, and they even called me back the next day to make sure I was still a happy customer. I don't know if it's the store I go to, or if I just have spent more than others so was treated better but I was def. not ignored or left to fester. I will buy from Jared again. I might not let them work on another luxury timepiece, and won't purchase the watch warranty, but I will def. continue to purchase. Thank you Jared.

About a year ago I took my Tissot watch to Jared jewelry to have the battery replaced. Had I read the previous reviews concerning this company, I'm sure I would have chosen someone else to complete such a simple task. The watch was working fine, had started slowing down a little, and finally stopped. It had been a little over a year from the last battery service, so I figured it was time to have it changed. The technician at Jared took my watch to the back of the store and stated it would only take about 10 min. to replace it. A few seconds later the tech. came out and said the watch was broken and a new battery would not repair it. They said they could send it out for repair, and in the worst case it would cost approx. $120.00.
I told them I wanted it checked out and gave them the required deposit. They called about three weeks and said the entire internal works had gone bad, and it would cost approx. $240.00 to repair it. I asked why they told me $125. at the most, and they apologized for the misunderstanding and refunded my deposit. I have a Pulsar watch that is also an electric. The battery went bad and I took it to another jeweler to replace it, and they were very nice and only charged $10.00. I told them about the Tissot, and they asked me to bring it in and they might be able to do something with it.
When the Jeweler took the back off, she wanted to know who had worked on the watch. I told her the only time it had been worked on was by Jared. She showed me where the inside case had been scratched and the "coil" had been damaged. She said it would require a new works, but there was no way it could have been damaged unless the back had been removed. Jared was the only company that had ever worked on the watch, and the only people to ever remove the back. After reading other reviews about Jared and seeing that other people have had the same experience with them, I decided to call their customer service. I was told that I waited too long to complain, and there was nothing they could do. It appears this a common practice with them, so I'm not surprised. THE ONLY THING I CAN SAY IS DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

I went to Jared this evening to get a new battery for my Raymond Weil watch. The time had been slowing down last week. I reset the time a couple of times and then it finally stopped. I realized I needed a new battery. I thought I was going to get a professional jeweler to change my battery. Instead I got a young salesperson named Meghan (did not give me her last name). She was quick to tell me that for $24.99 I get a battery change for life. I said, "OK." She took my watch. About 10 min later she returns and tells me, "Are you aware that the pull out winder to set your watch is broken?" I said, "No."
Was asking if it was a wind up winder or pull out winder. I said, "Pull out winder." She stated that it was broken and she noticed it after she changed the battery and tried to set the time. I told her the winder had been fine, I had re-set the time a couple of times last week, then watch went in my drawer for a couple of days until today when I wore it to remind myself to get a new battery.
She went to get another salesperson?? He did not introduce himself. He asked again if my watch winder had been broken. I said the watch was fine until I brought it in. He said they could send it out to Raymond Weil to get repaired. I asked, "How long it would take?" He stated, "Around 6 weeks." I asked, "How much is this going to cost me?" He stated, "I don't know but they will tell you once they see what's wrong with it." He then walked away. At that point in time, I just asked them to give me my old battery back and my watch back. I noticed that Meghan's hands were shaking and she had trouble putting the back of my watch back on.
If my winder had been broken prior to going there, it would have been missing because now it does not stay in place anymore at all, it just falls off. Meghan obviously broke my watch, maybe hoping for a new purchase--not sure. Based on the reviews I have read, it is a possibility. I plan to call the store and speak to the store manager. I am trying to keep an open mind and hope that they will do the honorable thing. I will follow up after I speak to the store manager.

In 2011 purchased a beautiful ring with a nice .67 vs2 radiant cut center, a Jared's engagement ring with diamond accents. Then a few years later, I had them change the setting to half bezel from prong. I also did their buy up program with my diamond. The "description" states that the clarity was a Si2... 1.3ct. I needed cataract surgery, had vision issues. I might have told them that.
It's i2... or 2 steps below my paperwork. Well, I went 2 weeks ago to an independent, custom jewelry maker to design a new ring for the stone. GUESS WHAT!!! ITS A CRAPPY DIAMOND!!! NOT EVEN WORTH THE SETTING!!! Wonder what it would look like to have their jeweler look at it and tell me what they see... unwittingly. I believed them in the quality at their word and paperwork. I also bought another ring at 2k as a loyal customer. I won't make that mistake again!!! Do not use JARED'S AT COLORADO MILLS!!! Do not trust them!

I wish I could do less than 1 star. I purchased a Tag Heuer watch here for my husband as a wedding gift. It was not cheap. We were going back and forth between a couple different watches. The salesperson (some guy can't remember his name unfortunately) said that due to my husband's profession (he is a mechanic at a dealership) he should go with the Tag watch I ended up purchasing. The salesperson exact words were "this watch is indestructible and would be just fine to wear to work everyday." So with that being said he wore it to wear everyday. Well a little over 1.5 years later the hands on the time piece fall off. Well I am aware that Tag offers a 2 year warranty.
So we take the watch back to Jared and they send it off. Tag says that they will not cover it under warranty due to the fact the timepiece has "shock". So they want to charge me $650ish and I said no way. I explained to them what their employee told me when I purchased it and they just don't care. I called Tag themselves and explained to them the situation. Well then Tag explained to me that working on cars can cause shock to this watch. That it is not indestructible. So I ended up getting the cost down from Tag to about $400.00 but then I wanted the Jared store to split this cost with me. And the lady was extremely rude to me saying that it's my responsibility to pay this not theirs. I told them to go ahead and repair the watch but in the meantime I am going to try to find a way to have Jared pay for this.
I was mislead when I purchased this time piece. I was willing to split the cost 50/50 with them. Now I am going to find a way to get in touch with someone and try to get them to pay 100% of this. This has also gone on way too long. We dropped the timepiece off on 07/20/16 and I am always the one to initiate the calls to Jared. THEY JUST DON"T CARE!! They will tell you whatever you want to hear so that they make a sale. This is by far the worse experience I have ever had with a jeweler. And to think I have made quite a few purchases here. I will never again. I have purchased 2 Tag timepieces and our wedding rings. I have spent quite a bit of money here and this is how they want to treat a good customer. Well I am going to spread the word on how horrible this place really is.

I see a balance, but cannot pull up my statement, cannot even submit a complaint on their 'contact us' screen. Even though you are signed into your account, you are required to re-key in all redundant information. Then you keep getting image verification screens, one after another, so your complaint never gets registered with Jared. You call into their customer service center and they just use the same excuse that their website people are 'working on it' to fix it. Problem is if you don't pay your bill by due date, you will be charged horrendous interest charges. Maybe that's Jared's point??

Do not get the Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry Credit Card account. I pay my bills and this one is no different. I pay on or before the day it's due. Jared has the practice of saying you still owe double the amount even though the month is paid and the next bill period has not come up yet. When you call them to clear up the misinformation they say the system won't allow them. This is a technical problem to a bad system that they have been battling since the day they built their website. It's a systemic problem which they hide behind foggy mirrors and bad customer service. They don't know how to fix the website, so they say that their system just hasn't synced yet till the next bill cycle, but it just compounds the confusion.
No one over there can really explain what is wrong with their website or the system. Their website also has major issues on mobile like 403 errors. This is bad coding. They need to be investigated as this is a harassing practice. Playing games with the Past Due notice is not professional and the lack of technical expertise is rather scary. They are very amateur, rude, and completely incompetent. This is basic practice for any credit card. Since Jared is not an official credit company I suggest you completely avoid Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry. Bad company and they are affiliated with Kay.

Purchased two Tag Heuer watches from Jared in 2010. About one month apart and during each purchase, I added on their Ultimate Watch Plan that was supposed to provide lifetime protection. All Tag Heuer watches come with a 2 year warranty. I recently took my watch in to be serviced and was told that I would have to pay for the repairs because my watches were no longer covered. I informed them that I paid an additional 300.00 for the Ultimate Watch Plan to which they responded had also expired because it was only good for two years. I then explained to them that was incorrect and asked why would I purchase a 2 year warranty when my watch came with a 2 year warranty from the manufacturer. They did not answer but reiterated the warranty has expired. They lied and ripped me off.

After we decided for our purchase and had our measurements taken, we waited over one half hour without being informed about anything that was causing this delay. After all this period, my wife asked one of the sales people regarding the delay and found out that they had difficulties entering our data in the computer. At that very moment one man that appeared to be the manager on duty start telling us that they cannot complete the sale because they need one of our email addresses, otherwise we cannot complete your purchase.
