Now the truth about Gucci..I purchased a hat, which had a faded misprinted serial number. Not what you'd expect, from a so called luxury brand. I Returned the item. And over 3 weeks on, still have no Refund, And They're slow to respond to E mails. The truth is, Gucci products are no better quality than Nike or Adidas, But the expense of their products, creates the luxury illusion.. Gucci has a very poor rating on Review sites..I'm not happy, my experience with this Company, has been a disaster.

My sister and I visited the Gucci outlet located at 22705 Clarksburg Road Space #330, Clarksburg, MD 20871 on Saturday August 29, 2020. I was shopping for a handbag for my birthday. And this was my first time visiting the outlet. My salesman was named ** and he seemed friendly. However, after I choose a handbag. I realized that I needed to transfer more money into my personal account. So I had to contact my husband at work. I told ** and he told me that it was fine and to take my time. So I sat on the bench and I texted my husband and waited for a response. I noticed ** was starring at me which was weird. Then he came over to ask if I was ok and I said that I was fine. He proceeded to do this 3 more times until I felt totally uncomfortable.
I was the only one of his customers that he was harassing. The ** customers were allowed to browse and sit without harassment. I called and left a message for my husband and I told him that it was torture in the store. I asked ** for a new handbag and he gave me the floor model. He did not clean it and we are in a COVID-19 pandemic. And he gave me a broken dust bag. It literally doesn't have a drawstring. I was not given new merchandise or the respect that the ** shoppers received. ** was only concerned with getting his sales and not how he was harassing me.
I called the corporate office and explained my complaint on Monday August 31st. They said that the outlet manager would call me but it never happened. I called Gucci again on Thursday September 3rd. And I was told that the issue has been escalated and that a member of management would contact me and fix the issue within 72 hours. And no one from Gucci contacted me. I called one last time and was told that the regional will be calling. And of course no one from Gucci called. I believe that Gucci accepts this kind of racist mistreatment of its customers.

I have purchased a few items from Gucci, track pants, shoes, and before the end of last year I purchased a pair of black GG tights in Medium. They fit perfectly and quite roomy (I'm 5ft5). I then purchased the beige interlocking G tights in Medium because I liked the black so much. I took them out of the plastic sleeve but didn't try them on as I assumed they'd fit, after all they're the same size, right? Wrong. In comparison these were so much smaller. I tried to get an exchange but I was told they do not refund/exchange tights if they have been taken out of their plastic sleeve! Nowhere on their website does this say that. And how can a customer know they've ordered the right size without trying them on? And how can their sizing be so inconsistent? Despite several emails and photos they are unwilling to exchange for a larger size.

My daughter bought a bag for her sister's 40th on the 14th November 19. At the 40th party, my younger daughter had the same bag from her husband, we took the bag back to Gucci at House of Fraser yesterday 1st December 19. A young chap took it away to ask his manager for a credit note, he was gone about twenty minutes, he came back and said they could not take the bag back as it had been used and there was glitter and a hair inside, my daughter was disgusted, it had not been opened, when we got home the bag was not in the original box, the box was torn, so I went back to the store, saying this was totally wrong.
The young chap, said "Oh that was the first thing I noticed", I ask why he hadn't pointed this out at the time, I then asked to speak to the manager who said I will go check the cctv, I asked if I could also check same, I wasnt allowed, when my daughter purchased the bag she was not offered to inspect it, it cost £995.00, we are now taking this further. My daughter has bought a lot of items from Gucci, their customer service is awful.

This brand is really nice and usually if it's clothes they have a perfect it's for a woman or man. If it's leather like jackets belts or bags they really are great and pretty too. Shoes are also nice. I own a wallet and a bag and I cherish it. It will last me a lifetime. They are nice enough to wear casual or even to go out dressed up.

Since my first Gucci leather goods purchase back in 1996, I have always considered them to be a label that provides the utmost in quality products. Recently I purchased their horse bit loafers and matching leather belt at their Las Vegas location within the Bellagio, and found that the quality of the leather on both items was both supple and refined. The break-in period on the shoes took only one evening, feeling by the end of the night like they were custom made just for me. I cannot recommend Gucci highly enough, and encourage those who may feel the price is too high for their budget to start with a small leather good and go from there. You will find not only that the quality of the leather far surpasses other leather goods of similar status, but that the style and attention to detail will most certainly bring delight for years to come.

I purchased a Gucci belt online using PayPal. When I received it, it was too big. I tried it on, too big. Repackaged it and sent it back the next day. It was received by Gucci Nov 5. I waited 2 weeks to call and ask about the status. I was told to wait a few more days. I sent emails, no response. Called again a week later, spoke with a Daniel, who told me he would open an investigation and gave me his personal work number. Never heard anything back from him. No one could give me an answer. Until today, Nov 25.
I spoke with a warehouse person, Sunya, who was a complete robot. Telling me the belt has been under review and they are returning it to me because it is damaged. I am beside myself. I tried it on and repackaged it in the same day! I told Sunya that, and that if its damaged it was done by someone in the warehouse. How am I to prove that I did not damage it? I have pictures of it before I sent it back and it looks perfect. I plan to contest this further, seems I need help from a lawyer... I will NEVER buy anything from Gucci again. Their customer service is disappointing and insulting. They steal from people. Also, I completely lost my mind on Sunya and cussed at her. Probably recorded... but dont care! I HATE GUCCI!!!!

I have bought a bag online, and then when it arrived, I didn’t like it, so decided to return it, first of all, the quality of bag was zero, in my opinion, everyone can buy better product for less from other brand stores, like Tory Burch or Michael Kors. Anyways, they didn’t send me any email about receiving the returned bag, or other confirmation email to confirm anything; after that, I contacted them to see what’s going on, and they said, "We can’t accept the return 'cause it’s damaged;" which was a lie, I didn’t use it even for once. Shame on them, I won’t support or buy anything from this brand anymore. It’s a scam, they wanna grab people money and then leave them with a low quality items.

On their return and refund policy, you can do it within 30 days. I bought a wallet as a gift in the morning. At lunch the person I gave it to had the exact wallet given to her by someone else. So I went back in the evening to request a refund and I was told they only give store credit and only exchange. For paying such a price and not being able to stand behind their product is acceptable. The wallet was not even used. This was my first time to buy Gucci product and never again. I will always be a loyalist for Louis Vuitton because they stand behind their product. Ditch Gucci, I will never ever spend a dime.

I bought a Gucci Sukey bag in 2015. Within the first few months, it began to fray and part of the piping popped through from inside. When I returned it to the store, they sent it off to Italy. The girl in the store told me they would probably fix it as she could see it was not due to ‘old age’ as the rest of the bag was in good condition. I received an email a few weeks later to say they would repair the piping free of charge but I would have to pay for the frayed material to be repaired/replaced. They could either put a patch of material over the frayed area (which I definitely did not want) or they could replace the whole material section which was going to cost me more than I paid for the bag itself! When I asked why the piping would be repaired free of charge, they told me it was because it was faulty, but surely if it was faulty it means the whole product is faulty. They were not sympathetic or understanding at all.
When they returned the bag, I put it away in its dust bag & box as I was afraid I would make it worse by using it (pretty pointless having bought it in the first place!). However, I took it out recently and notice more piping was starting to pop through from the external corners. I returned it again, they sent it off then emailed to say that they thought it was general wear and tear as I’ve now had the bag for a few years! Unbelievable! I’m so annoyed. I feel if I was someone with some sort of status that they would have sorted it all straight away, free of charge to avoid bad publicity but as I’m just an average person who saved hard to treat myself, they did not care. I have also discovered since that the damage to the Sukey bags seem to be a common problem, convincing me it’s a design flaw!

I recently ordered a two sided Gucci belt for my boyfriend's birthday. I was planning to give him his present in Cabo. Not only Gucci sent me the wrong item, but their Manager at the customer Service department was really really rude to me after he found out what has happened. No matter how many times I tried to stress that I needed the belt on an exact date 'cause I am leaving for a trip he did not get it, and kept repeating that he had other customers on the other lines that he needed to take care of and all he could do is to give me expedited shipping that still did not guarantee I would receive my item on time.
He didn't even try to make me happy for the mistake that the company had done, he even made me more angry by just repeating himself over and over again. I have had better experiences in low class retail stores than Gucci. I will never ever purchase anything from them in the future and I recommend no one else does either. If I am paying this amount of money for belt I rather take my business elsewhere that they respect and value their customers to return.

Alright so I recently ordered an engraved Cuban link bracelet from Gucci's official online store and they completely messed up my order the first time. FedEx got the package to me in time with 2nd Day Air, but instead of a bracelet, I got a cheap sterling silver ring - not what I ordered. At first I was only a little bit disappointed; I mean ** happens, mistakes can sometimes happen (although you'd think when you're paying over $400 bucks for t-shirts, and whatnot, you wouldn't run into errors like this...) Anyways, got a hold of customer service, sent the ring back, the process went smoothly and the service rep kept me updated.
Now here's the thing that bothered me: First of all, when FedEx shipped me my bracelet, they chose ground shipping. I paid 2nd day air for the first order they screwed up, so they should've either refunded me or shipped the correct order with the shipping option I had originally chosen. In fact I emailed them about this discrepancy, but they chose to ignore me. Second, they put down the wrong address for the correct order. So all in all, it seems Gucci's online store is a **; they get one thing right, but then screw up again in another area.

I brought an iPhone 7 Plus Case that cost me well over $200 and less than six months of purchase it stretched so much that it does not fit the phone anymore. BEWARE OF GUCCI iPhone CASES. There are not made well, you are paying for the large letters to sell to sell the case for the company. If someone would like it and go buy it Basically you are advertising their merchandise. Gucci does not stand behind the cases and how they don't hold up. They are made very poorly. Never buy a iPhone case just cause it has Gucci name on it, you will be disappointed in the long run. They are not worth the money you spend on it. You can spend much less and the quality is ten times better if you buy thru APPLE and they stand behind all their products fully.
Gucci is a Name but their QUALITY is worthless. Quality is first when you are spending lots of money on something that you want to last. The case is falling apart. The workmanship is POOR POOR POOR. I would never buy from Gucci ever again, too many other places I can shop and be very happy with what I brought. BELIEVE ME I KNOW QUALITY IN MOSTLY EVERYTHING. People do your research and know what you are buying before you purchase expensive merchandise just for a NAME. It sure will piss you off later. Big waste of money for a name.

I purchased a belt for my daughter as a Christmas present. It was delivered November 26--just a few days after I purchased it online. I used the Gucci "size chart" when ordering the belt, since Gucci sizes their belts using metric measurements. When Christmas day came, my daughter loved the belt but it was the wrong size. I called Gucci a couple of days after Christmas and was told that I could NOT RETURN the belt because it was past their ironclad 30-day return policy.
When I pointed out that this was a CHRISTMAS GIFT--and therefore my daughter could not ascertain whether it fit until she opened it on Christmas day--all I got was a "that's our policy" reply. ZERO awareness of customer service. They truly and simply DO NOT CARE about CUSTOMERS. For a brand with "luxury" status, I am beyond shocked. I told them I had to send an email to the manager to explain a situation that happened at the store but instead they asked me for my information and said someone will call me back. I emailed the corporate office in Italy to tell them about the insulting and discriminating act done to my mother-in-law when she purchased a bag last week at the NYC 725 Fifth Ave flagship store.
My mother-in-law purchased the Ophidia GG Medium bag on Wednesday October 10th, 2018 and paid for the bag in cash. The salesperson (Edna **) never asked for my mother-in-law's name. She didn’t even registered her information on the computer instead, she issued the receipt with a fake/made-up name. This is highly insulting and proves there is discrimination among Chinese/Asian buyers. My mother-in-law's name is not ** Fun Yu as it's stated on the receipt. The salesperson just created a name based on my mother-in-law's race. It seems this is how the staff treats Asian buyers. That is an INSULT and a form of DISCRIMINATION!
If for any reason my mother-in-law has to go to the store regarding her purchase, the receipt does not prove she made the purchase as the name is phony. The salesperson never took my mother-in-law's name or saw her name anywhere as she paid in cash but she has the audacity to put this name on her receipt because she assumed it’s an Asian name. This is rude and insulting. My mother-in-law and our family is very upset as this is an insult to the Asian culture! I haven't received a response from the corporate office yet but in my email to them, I requested a response as we are speaking with our attorney. It would have been best to discuss the matter with the manager but I see there seems to be a secret and based on the complaints from other customers, this is their optimal service. This is certainly not the way to treat a customer especially when selling luxury goods.

I went to the store and they sent it to a specialist but they said they could not do anything about it. These were about $620 including tax, and for them to start peeling when I used them less than ten times and took really good care of them makes them not worth it. After buying a new pair of Gucci Ace Tiger leather sneakers at the Gucci store in Geneva, Switzerland within 5 days (my son wore them twice by the way) the red and green snake skin broke off the back of both of the shoes simply by the fact that the jeans sat on them. Gucci staff assured me this was absolutely normal (that they looked like crap Chinese rip-off's within a week) and that this style was indeed more sensitive than the other styles. They also suggested that it was simply his fault. After I insisted that he did not chew on them and that they investigate further, they agreed to send the shoes to Italy. 3 weeks later the verdict: It's normal wear and tear (I had no further comment to that).
This new style is badly designed and far too sensitive to sell to unsuspecting clients who are expecting an exceptional quality product. Buyer beware - simply do not buy. They tried to get me to buy the shoes online knowing I was going on vacation the next week. They told me it would get to me in time. I said no I want them to get it from another store and I'll pick it up, they put the order in to another store to have them ship it and they said they would contact me, nobody contacted me within 4 days so I called the store.
I even text the manager because she gave me her number and said to contact her. She didn't answer her text so I continue to call the store. Nobody knew what was going on. I was on hold for 20 minutes. The phone disconnected so I called back and the original associate that was helping me with the sneakers and sold me the wrong size and the manager that try to fix the problem told me the sneakers never came from the other store because they never sent it so I just asked for a refund so now I'm waiting for my refund but I went to the other Gucci store in Macy's Herald Square and they couldn't find the shoes.
This associate also brought out a size 10 box but when he looked inside it was the size 10.5 that I needed so I tried it on. I wanted to make sure it was the right size, it was so I bought it and when I got home and took the shoes out of the box there were a lot of creases on both shoes and more and the shoe that I didn't try on and I looked at the bottom of the sole of the shoe and it was clearly dirty and look like somebody cleaned it off so at that point I figured those shoes were worn most likely returned and another hint was that it was in the wrong box so I was sold a pair of used shoes for $630. I will be returning these when I get back.

Has anyone had any issues with the Gucci Ace sneaker with the Ayers foxing snakeskin at the heel area peeling away? My son is on his second pair. The first pair Gucci replaced as they say on a "GOODWILL" gesture as the shoes had only been worn for a few hours and this happened. The second pair had only again been worn for a few hours on a flight from Glasgow to Italy. My son had a pair of shorts on to travel so the shoes did not come into contact with jeans or trousers! Gucci sent the shoes for inspection and are saying they won't exchange the shoes as the material has been accidentally scratched and the material being fragile leather! They have told me that the material will curl up and isn't durable to heat or flex!! Both of which will happen with shoes worn on feet! I think the material isn't fit for purpose but Gucci say different. Has anyone had problems with this snakeskin like finish on these sneakers? Cheers.

I've ordered a pair of slippers on Gucci.com with half size bigger than my regular size, as they recommend on their website, but when I received them I realized that I'll need a size bigger, not a half one. So I've returned my package to exchange the size. After 2 weeks, I didn't receive any notification from them, about that they received the package, even if it was successfully delivered as the UPS confirmed, something... A sign. I tried to call but nobody answer me, on that telephone number that they show on their website, I've send several emails but with no reply... For 2 weeks. My money were charged from my credit card, but I have nothing. Not even an email... So bad customer services, GUCCI. I don't know what to do to get my money back or my slippers with the right size. I don't know where to talk.

Purchased a pair of sneakers. They were missing a piece on the laces the two metal GG signs. We called customer service immediately and return the sneakers via FedEx. They received the sneakers a few days later and promised a refund in 7 to 10 days. Call back on the 11th business day and they continue to play games. I asked to speak to a manager several times. Was placed on hold for more than 20 minutes Then the phone disconnected. Called back and was told no manager will be available until late.
I can't believe a company As large as Gucci would only have one person to process refunds as manager. I then called back on the 12th. This is the talk with the manager and they stated at the refund we be processed on that day and I would have to wait another three business days to see the refund On my Credit card. As of today still no refund apply to the credit card. Still waiting. I have spent a lot of money with this company Gucci in past years but I will never ever again purchase anything Gucci.

I have never written a negative review before but this situation demanded that I warn others. I ordered shoes, they sent me a belt. I called them and after speaking to three different people, I received a return label. The next morning I drove 25 minutes to return the item at FedEx because they said they could not arrange for it to be picked up at my house. They said the shoes would come in 3-5 business days. I called the next morning after not receiving a tracking number and they said that they couldn't even process the order until they received the belt. AFTER they received the belt, it would take 3-5 business days just to process the order. AND then they said they could not expedite shipping.
When speaking to the manager I repeatedly stated that she should not be apologizing for sending me the wrong item, but should be apologizing because they did NOTHING to rectify the situation. The manager seemed like she was just reading off a script. I canceled the order and AGAIN the refund can't even be processed until they get the belt. After that it will still take several days. They are punishing me basically for getting the belt - they have to wait until they get the belt to see what? That I didn't destroy it? I will never shop with them again. I have never had such poor customer service.

I purchased a Gucci gg belt from House of Fraser in Glasgow. After wearing the belt for 3 hours I noticed marks on the belt. I phoned straight away to House of Fraser and explained the situation. I was advised to take it back to them which I did on a 2 hour round trip. I was advised it would have to be sent away for analysis which could take 6 to 8 weeks. After 2 I received a call to say it had been determined it was my own doing even though I had not been out the house with it on. I was also told if I wanted to pay another £80 on top of the £230 I had already paid they would replace it. I refused and asked to speak to a manager who said because of the short time I had it as a gesture of goodwill she would replace it.
Another 2 hour round trip later I got my replacement. Wore it today and I have literally watched the marks appearing before my eyes but as I was advised if it happened again I would not get another belt. I am now stuck with a defective belt that I have worn for a total of 4 hours this time. I will not purchase another item from Gucci and would not recommend to anyone else either.

Even if I wanted to overlook this they didn't even get the size right either. I still have them packaged and all but of course seeing the horrible customer service Gucci has they'll chalk it up to it being "worn". Gucci is well known as a luxury brand for its trending taste, vivid fashion and leather goods. I was on the HK airport and decided to visit Gucci. I saw a watch which was phenomenal, unprecedented, astounding and classic. I had my eyes on it and went to the sales representative and asked her about it. She said it's a Unisex watch and it's their latest collection and the next moment I was searching the watch online and comparing USD and HKD price.
I left that day from the airport and came back to India and told my father about it and told him I want to buy a watch. So he told his brother who was coming the next day from HK Airport to India. My uncle got the watch for me without checking the piece thoroughly (My uncle is less aware of brands and its products). He gave me the next day. Excitedly, I opened my watch and saw there's a manufacturing defect (pictures attached) and the next moment I was calling Gucci... and I have contacting them from 2 months now and asking them update for the exchange.
Meanwhile, I opened gucci.com to search new products and saw that my watch has been removed from the Men's segment to Women entirely because more of its feminine style. When I had bought this watch, it was suppose to be in Men and Women Section on the website gucci.com (Unisex). I am disgusted by customer service and the long wait. I am tired sending emails again and again and follow up for my watch from 2 months. As a result of such a disappointing customer service, failed the standard of meeting the expected quality and customer satisfaction, I have asked the customer service representatives to refund me for the watch or I'll take legal action against the company. I would appreciate if readers post their views on my complaint.

Only to find out that I can no longer wear them after the second time because every time I walk in them the rubber rubs on the top of my feet and make me bleed! These slippers are extremely poorly made! The green and red came scuffed up with lines that will never go away and it is extremely easy to get new baby scuffs on them as well! They aren't even as strong as other well known cheaper name brands, not even comparable to the quality of a slipper costing $39.99.
They are ruining my feet & I refuse to not open my mouth about this matter because people shouldn't have to pay such top dollars for a slipper made by Gucci a supposed well-known brand! They feel as if they were manufactured by cheap shops in China! How can you not put a cushion inside of the material? The slipper is dangerous to wear & shouldn't be sold! What pisses me off is their customer service in Mexico, it is rude, unpolite, and aggressive. After almost 3 months analyzing my masterpiece they wrote me today saying me that my masterpiece was opened by an unprofessional service or by me, and that is not true, why would I do such a stupid thing?? Knowing that the masterpiece has its own 2 year warranty, it is absurd!!!
As far as I know the only ones that have opened my masterpiece are them. So far I am so disappointed of this brand, to me a luxury brand means quality and customer service; I haven't receive any of them so far, just unprofessional services. On September 24, 2016 I walked into a Gucci store to send out my watch for a battery replacement. In January 2017 I spoke to someone in the store, that person could only tell me that my estimate was in. I never asked for an estimate, it wasn't broken I just needed a new battery! I was told that a manager needed to follow up with the repair center and they would call me back. A week later I called on February 3, 2017. I called the store and requested that my watch be returned to me. I was told that the repair department was backlogged for months and that they were sorry for the delay. The best that they could do was get it back from the repair center and fix it locally at no charge to me. I told her I just wanted it back asap, whether it was fixed or not.
It is now February 23 and I visited the store today. The woman that greeted me was more interested to know if Gucci called me to warrant my visit, than helping me. How's about I wanted to buy a scarf for my trip to Napa in 2 weeks, so while I'm there I'll check on my watch! She never got to help me with a purchase, because after feeling like my watch is being held hostage, she pretty much said there's nothing anyone can do about it. She also threw in this bit of information, "it's no one's fault here at our store, but if you repair your watch anywhere else, your warranty is no longer valid". Really, so who's telling the truth? The woman that told me she would get the watch back and repair it locally free of charge, or the one in front of me?! How can such a high end store allow this to happen? I said don't fix it and give it back, and there is a delay to do that too!!

I purchased the Web belt with double G from Las Vegas store. Then, when I came back to Los Angeles, I realized that I also wear high waisted jeans and I need a smaller size for the belt. I didn't even use it once and just cut the tag because the tag was too big to try it on my pants. Anyway, with my receipt, and less than a month, I went to the Topanga Mall store and they said they cannot exchange it because it didn't look like resell-able to them. The reason is that the leather part doesn't look clean to them.
First of all, I never wore it, not even once. Secondly, when I purchased the belt, they folded it in a nice Gucci pouch and a bag which already gave wrinkles to the leather (in other words, they folded the leather part). Lastly, why are we relying on a subjective review of a manager especially in a situation that I paid 500$ for the belt and never ever wore it. On top of it, I just wanted to exchange it so I can actually use something I paid good amount of money. Knowing that many other companies can provide GREAT customer service, I find Gucci's customer service very poor and company oriented. I would rather buy these kind of goodies from department stores like Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus just because of their exceptional customer service that Gucci doesn't have.

I called to see if I can get a bigger size. They said I would have to PAY for shipping if I wanted to ship them back and then I can repurchase the shoes after they issue me a refund??
I asked if I can return in a store, they told me no store had them. I went to my nearest Gucci store and they had them. The exchange was simple. That same day I purchased a wallet at the store, which they didn't have. They told me I'd be receiving it by Tuesday. I never received a tracking # or anything. When I called they said that they don't send tracking numbers to protect the package??? And that someone had to be home. Am I supposed to be at home all day waiting?? When I can simply track MY package and make sure someone is there when it's in transit. Then If no one is home at the time, I have to call customer service, give permission to change shipping to a FEDEX store and wait until that gets done. Gucci seriously needs to improve their technology.

I recently purchased a GG Marmont quilted shoulder bag from the Gucci boutique in Florence, Italy. My husband and I were sightseeing, so we were dressed comfortably but not sloppily. We're both professionals in our 30s. I'm an attorney, and he's a senior manager at a prestigious consulting firm. I've purchased numerous premier designer bags and in fact was carrying one that day. I'm not a novice shopper of luxury goods who is pitching a fit because her unrealistic expectations were not met. I don't expect the staff to be groveling or overly ingratiating. I simply expect politeness and respect. My husband and I work and spend leisure time in Manhattan and regularly visit high-end retailers there. I can honestly say I've never been treated the way I was at this Gucci boutique. My husband and I are young looking, but by no means do we look like kids.
Upon entering the store, we were greeted. Then a security guard who was at the door followed us into the main showroom. Then he followed us up the stairs. He closely shadowed us everywhere we went. It wasn't even subtle. It was clear we were being followed because they had decided that we were a shoplifting risk. I've never been treated in such a fashion at any high-end boutique and am amazed that Gucci allows such behavior from its staff. While in Florence, we also visited the Panerai boutique and were treated graciously. We purchased items in luxury boutiques in Rome and had a great experience. It wasn't any sort of cultural or linguistic misunderstanding (In fact, I lived for several months in Italy in the past and am quite familiar with its language and customs).
I wish I hadn't purchased the bag at that particular boutique, but we were leaving Florence the next day and purchasing the bag in Italy meant a savings of almost 25% after the VAT refund. It was too good a bargain to pass up, but even still I regret purchasing it there. I've given Gucci two stars because the bag is fantastic, but the shopping experience was insulting. Part of the fun of purchasing a bag for two thousand dollars is going into the boutique, being given a drink and interacting with a knowledgeable and gracious staff. That is totally lacking at Gucci, at least the one in Firenze.

Told me that I rip the piping out of the bag, I told her all I want is for them to replace the bag and was told it was discontinued... She took pictures and said it would take 6-8 weeks...
I call today 2/15/17 and still they have no clue what is going on with this bag and told me to call back in 6 weeks... Style # 323671A00JG1000 is the bag. All I want is for Gucci to replace this faulty bag that was sold to me in the first place... After you buy a product from Gucci do not expect any kind of help from them... You are on your own after sales... For such a high end company their product sure is low end...

It took until I reached out to them once again and again to get a response on 09/13/2016 with a notice to pay $85 payment repair so I did on same day. Since then, It now has been a little over 3 months and per repair Dept, my hand bag it's still waiting to be repaired.
I'm deeply disappointed with this, such a prestigious company, running a complete mess at their repair facility. As a GUCCI consumer, PLEASE DO NOT USE GUCCI to SEND YOUR PRODUCTS IN FOR REPAIR. It would totally lose its value, since it will be on hold at repair facility for over 7 months. My intention with this, is for GUCCI to stand for all of us, customers who have a product waiting/holding at their repair facility get it send back to us. They do not work on the weekends so I called the first thing Monday morning at 8 AM. The guest service blamed everything on the warehouse. They completely threw them under the bus. They put all the responsibility completely on them. Basically what they told me was that if something good happens it is the customer service department, and if something bad happens, it is the warehouse's fault. I was very upset because the guest service department told me that they would ship me another order to be here by Thursday, but they can not guarantee that it will be the black bag. What kind of service is this??
I fly out from America back to China for good and if this bag isn't here before I fly out then what am I to do??? I called back again to check on Wednesday since I had not gotten a tracking number and the man who picked up the phone was very confusing. He started to tell me it would take 3-7 business days for the bag to be shipped out. I was very upset seeing as I was told two different things. Once he realized I had already spoke with someone earlier this week he put me on hold saying "let me take a look at the notes." Why wouldn't he have looked at them when I first called. He gave me so much attitude. He told me it would be guaranteed by FRIDAY morning now, saying that it should be there unless there is a delay with shipping or if the warehouse makes another mistake.
Why is it so hard to complete something so basic? I will not shop with Gucci anymore... I will stick with my favorites, such as Hermes or Louis. At least they do things right the first time.

I have recently purchased a pair of Gucci sunglasses at JFK airport on the way back from my holiday in New York, after very little use of my sunglasses I started wearing them when we finally got some sunshine in northern Ireland. Within a few weeks of wearing them the arm got loose and broke of (please note I treat my Sun glasses with TLC as my last pair I have now 9 years and are still in good condition).
I took my glasses to my local optician who is also a technician in repairing glasses and has supplied Gucci glasses in the past she stated to return as they were obviously a faulty pair and Gucci are very good and stand over their products. I did this send email to Gucci London who came back pretty quickly and my glasses were sent off. But after a long wait they came back to say pretty much it was wear and tear and I broke them myself which is a total disgrace as anyone could see by the condition of the frames they had been rarely used after a few phone calls to London no one wanted to know said I caused the damage to the glasses. The decision was made. My honest feeling was they were a pair of glasses which was discontinued and they did not want to replace as they could not be repaired.
No one I spoke to in London showed any sympathy nor did they show any interest in wanting to replace. I was offered a 20% voucher of my next purchase of Gucci Sunglasses. As we all know the price of these glasses and 20% is a joke. Not only did it take Gucci London from July 7th to the start of August to give me an answer I would be still waiting only I called them back myself and still waiting for a resolution.

I am writing to you as I am shocked by the way Gucci has handled the situation with my grandfathers watch. I inherited a Gucci timepiece from my Grandfather when he passed in April 2015. My Granny had bought him the watch, a blue sharkskin strapped divers watch YA097311 serial number UO70011877, for their wedding anniversary in November 2005.
To be completely honest with you it is a beautifully made watch in keeping with Gucci’s high standards of quality and workmanship. I have a few luxury watches and since inheriting it from my Grandfather it has quickly become my favourite. I would even hazard that it as become a token of good luck for me as I wore it to an interview and then appraisal and won a great new job and then a great promotion.
The problem came around when the surround for the window came away inside the watch face. No parts were lost or broken it only became un-attached. I took it to Beaver brooks my local Gucci approved shop and asked them to send it away to be repaired, fully expecting to pay for the repair and more than happy to do so. I was contacted two weeks later to return to collect it. I was very disappointed to be told that they were unable to fix it due to “it is a discontinued model and unfortunately in this particular case there are no longer parts available” and was provided a 50% off voucher to buy a new watch.
I do not understand this as no parts were needed for the repair as the part was inside the watch face and not missing. I telephoned your customer care department listed on the letter and was told that there was nothing that could be done about it, I pointed out the overwhelming sentimental value of the watch and said it did not need parts as it could be fixed without them. I was told it was company policy and that there was nothing to be done. I pointed out to them that the 50% voucher was very nice but what was the point in buying a Gucci watch if in 10 years the model would be discontinued and I would have to buy a new one if it broke? This is no better than renting a watch rather than owning one as I am sure you would agree.

Well, here we are on July 22, 2016 and I hadn't heard anything. I decided to call again today on July 26. Turn to find out they sent my purse back to the store not fixed. The lady stated that they couldn't determine if it was authentic, so they didn't fix it.

I have tried to use the spray bottle and it leaks no matter how I have tried to use it. It drips so bad, it removed the finish on my dresser. Jeff in customer service stated that because the bottle was open, there is nothing they could do. So I guess I can spend my money with them, I just can't use the product.

I am particular, but I am not unreasonable. When you are paying that sort of money, you should be expecting perfection. I bought a pair of new logo of Gucci sandals in Gucci Westfield Sydney on 31-01-2016. Wore them on the 07-01-2016 for shopping. Sore feet after half hour but have no choice as on the street. After home (2 hour later), my feet got worse due to the buckles and the weight of the sandals.
Back to Gucci today (08-01-2016), asked if they can do something for me. The answers were "No, No" from the customers' service and the manager (after I got the ** from the customer service and asked to see the manager). They said "You have wore them. I am not doctor, I don't know if the sore of your feet caused by the shoes. I did not forced you to buy the products, that's your choice..." I told her "unfortunately today is my doctor's day off, if not I will go to see him to get a doctor certificate". They were so rude... What a customer service.
When I asked "what is your after sales service?" The manager said they have no problem and no complaint from other customer only me. I said "maybe there is my feet's problem not the shoes. But when I wear them, I have sore feet." Another man said, "how about when you walk on the carpet?" I told "do you think when you wear shoes only walk on the carpet and not walk out on the street?" Very stupid and silly question.
The customer service also mentioned that the Gucci made the products, would not tested that nobody has problem. When the manager came out talked to me, she said the Gucci has been tested all product to make sure everybody has no problem when wear them. The answers they both gave were so funny. I am wondering do they know "What is customer service and customer satisfaction?" I did not asked for anything such as refund as unfortunately I know I have wore them even though only two hours. I just asked "can Gucci do anything for the shoes as my feet sore after wore them". At the end, they asked my contact number, took photos and the code of the shoes to send to Gucci in Italy. Ask them to check the products. But they packed my shoes back in the box, asked me to take home. I don't know how are they going to check the product if the shoes are with me? I have no idea.
But anyhow, this is my first and the last with Gucci. No more Gucci. I am LV fans. I have a good experience with them as the scarf I bought has problem. They checked and exchanged straight away with no issues. What's wrong with Gucci? Because I am not Chinese? Not tourist from overseas? The manager definitely is Chinese. And the customer service also either Indonesian or Filipino. Racism? Jealousy?

As usual they wrap it inside their own rooms then bring it out to customers. I also asked them if anything wrong with the product can I exchanges overseas, they said definitely. I came back to Australia on the 29th January 2016 which is only 4 days after I purchased the belt. When I got home I've notice there are big marks on the reverse side of belt, so I took it to this Gucci store at The Star Casino Darling harbour for exchange, first came out a staff said only can exchange if bought in Australia, then next minute the store manager came out and said he can't exchange the belt with only marks damages, and so ridiculous that he said I should have check it before leaving the store.
How can a customer suppose to check when they packed purchase at their back rooms and tie it nicely, and with a men's belt what other damages do they expect then they will exchange? Do I have to cut a few holes then that's what they call a damage? How ridiculous a product hasn't been ever use and can't exchange? The store manager was very rude & extremely lazy while my daughter asked when he's able to find out from office. He said don't know, there was no customer in store at that time.

So I ordered a Gucci bag online on Nov 25th, I paid 40 bucks for express shipping to Canada. It told me it takes 3 to 5 days to ship. Today is already Nov 28th, I still heard nothing from them. Called the customer service, wait on the line for an hour. I'm leaving Canada on next Thursday, so I was told the bag won't be able to send to me before I leave. Since they have the standard I have to be the person to receive the bag I ordered. I asked them, "Can I change my shipping address so my friend can help me to receive it?" Then I was told "no". Even though the bag is still in their warehouse and it hasn't been even processed.
Wow, I cannot believe this is Gucci's customer service. If they cannot train their online team well, they shouldn't start online store. It's totally ruining the brand's reputation. I'm not blaming the customer representative. I'm saying, Gucci, come on, you have to improve your customer service. I'm not going to spent this much money for your crappy service anymore!

Inferior workmanship followed by bad customer service. I like the look of Gucci products for men to include suits, shoes and jackets. I was surprised to find the threads breaking apart on my Gucci shoes where the leather meets the base. I returned two pairs of Gucci shoes that were defective. Reason I am writing is due to poor customer service. Saks in New Orleans took one month to ship product back to Gucci. Two months later, Saks call and states my shoes are ready to be picked up. I pick up the shoes and no repair had been done. Gucci has a form letter which stated "Item is not repairable and this is not a manufacturer's defect". Gucci is reasonable for poor workmanship where the thread holding their product together failed.

Yesterday the lens slipped out again when I was adjusting the nose buttons of the frame. I found a crack on the metal (attached image). So this has been the reason for the lens slipping out often: because of the frame, the lens has gotten damaged. The metal is not supposed to crack even if screwed-in tight (a possible reason for the crack on the frame). I am so disappointed with Gucci's quality esp. an Italian make!

On the 10th of August 2015, I went to Gucci store which located at the Pavillion Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur to help a friend complaint for her shopping bag which she bought in Taiwan airport about 2 years ago. Presently, she is staying in Penang Island where there is no Gucci outlet and she seldom go to places where have the Gucci outlets as why she didn't have the chance to complaint about the condition of her bag till now. She can't really read and write in English, that why I'm helping her now.
After she was using it for a couple of months, she noticed that the bag has some glue coming out from the edge of the bag. So she brought it to a specialist bag cleaner to inquire whether they can help her to clean it, but was told nothing can be done and the best is to send it back to Gucci. So she kept it nicely till lately when she is coming to Kuala Lumpur. But when she open the bag she saw the condition is worsen.
When we walked in the Gucci shop and told the staff, Mr. Woei ** about it, we can obviously see that his face is not happy and helpful. Firstly, he told me that we must wait for at least 3 months as Gucci Italy office is having their summer break now and THERE WILL BE NO ONE IN THE OFFICE FOR 1 MONTH. I repeated his question, "Are you sure there will be no one working in the office for a month?" And he told me even louder and rudely 'YES'. Honestly, I'm doubtful about his statement. How could be a reputable company like GUCCI be no one working in the office for a one long month?
Anyway, he took some photographs and told me he will help me to email to Gucci. But he never give me any receipt or reference number to trace this complaint, so second thought I better write this letter to Gucci and complaint it myself rather than waiting there blindly. Hopefully, you can response to my complaint ASAP. Thank you.

I am frustrated! I worked my tail off for an Avon Corporate incentive to earn a G-Timeless small stainless steel Gucci watch. (YA126501) I love this watch, even though I had to pay taxes on it and I was cheerfully laid off from Avon a year ago. Anyway, the watch lost time after a year and I took it to Justice Jewelers (the finest jeweler in SW Missouri) for a new battery. After a few months, it lost time again, another new battery. After the third new battery, I had their watchmaker take a look and he advised sending it in for warranty work.
Today, I spent thirty minutes on the phone waiting for Gucci customer service. Learned two things: #1. Warranty was voided with battery replacement and I was to mail it to an authorized service center in IL simply to have the battery replaced. #2. If I want the watch repaired, I will have to mail it to the service center and the minimum repair charge would be $170 + insured shipping. A minimum charge of $170 and who knows how much the repair would actually become?
I clearly recognize the art of watchmaking and the skill it takes to repair timepieces. What gets me is that the warranty was voided by having a battery replaced and that nowhere in the information that came with the watch was that information communicated. I am heartbroken after how hard I worked… I know there are bigger issues in the world and stuff is stuff. I really liked my watch.

Gucci used to do the repairs. Then I had to send it to an authorized Gucci repair dealer. After 6 weeks I called into the store to check on them and spoke with the store manager. We finally got to the point of him agreeing to contact the "Repair Center" and call me back. He never did. I followed up today and he told me he had asked them to pull them and ship them back. I asked if they were being sent back without being given a new pair of laces. In early October, I purchased a Gucci Soho Leather Shoulder Bag #0442184957525 from Saks Fifth Avenue in Philadelphia for $1490. The bag is triangular in structure, wide at the bottom, with sides that fold in to create a narrow slit opening at the top. There is no closure to the bag, but upon purchase the bag seemed thick and structured enough to hold its narrow top shape.
Not so. During the Thanksgiving Holidays, I wore the bag for the first time, and after three wears the entire top of the bag expanded and stretched out. Items in the bag can be viewed by anyone, snatched, or fall out. The cross-body shoulder strap attaches diagonally and also expands the top of the bag to a completely open tote with no closure. Valuables, such as a wallet or phone, cannot be carried in it.
I called Saks and told them I wore the bag three times and it stretched out. They told me to bring back the bag. When I got to the store, they told me they could not credit or refund me because the bag had been used three times and could not be resold, since it was not in "mint" condition. Then why did they drag me into the store after I told them what happened on the phone? How would I know upon purchase that the bag had a defective design that wouldn't last more than three wears if I didn't use it to find out? The bag *is* in mint condition, with the exception of an expanded opening.
Saks and the Gucci reps there did not care that my $1400 purchase lasted only 3 wears; they looked at me shocked, as if they'd never heard this complaint before, and told me they only cared that they could not resell a returned item. Clearly, there are many similar complaints. I will never buy another Gucci product or shop Saks again.

What I found was the silver was almost black in colour and the leather worn and of very poor quality. I honestly thought that what I was sent was second hand, such was the quality!
When I complained and told Gucci how unhappy I was, Gucci simply said that I should send the bracelet back to Italy. That's it. So it's a 300 bracelet and I have to send it back at my own expenses to Italy. Do you think it would arrive? I think not!!! Would I ever get my money back on a lost bracelet - no way! I don't even know if I should bother to buy any genuine Gucci or just go to the market to get a cheap and fancy watch! Not happy!

I went back to the Gucci online site and could NOT connect with any customer service whatsoever. The links simply did not work. I phoned and left messages. NO reply. Finally, I managed to get a Personal Shopper email and she replied with "NOT ALL our bags come with a certificate of authenticity". WOW! I'm shocked. That's it. The bag appears to be authentic. But they are not customer friendly. The handbag was shipped from New Jersey. I did call the Gucci outlet STORE in New Jersey and the sales-girl said that it should be NO PROBLEM getting a certified card. But they had nothing to do with it because they didn't ship it to me. Careful, people. It isn't worth the heart break or the money. NEVER AGAIN will I deal with Gucci online. I don't know if they sell seconds or what the deal is? But someone should investigate the fact that their links to ANY of their customer service or CONTACT sites DO NOT WORK.

Because I could not find the receipt, I delayed in returning the item. When I mentioned it to a colleague at work, she said I don't need the receipt, as long as it's authentic, Gucci will assist me. I took it back to them after sales office and they said it will be send away to check for authentication and they will come back to me. I received a letter a few weeks later informing me that it will cost $140 to repair, though the belt was still new as I have worn it only about 4 or 5 times (my wife paid 130 to purchase it at full price). SO MUCH FOR STANDING BY THEIR PRODUCT!! Total scam!

I was in Italy in the Positano area. I loved Gucci. I saw a store and purchased a very cool simple cross shoulder bag which looked like woven denim. I paid approximately 900 Euro's. This was approximately 5 years ago. The bag wore out where I hold it in my hand after 7 months of use. I was so mad but I was home in Canada and I didn't think there was anything I could do. This year I had had enough of being ripped off by expensive brands. I decided to call my Gucci store in Toronto and tell them my story.
I asked the assistant manager if Gucci stands behind their product. She assured me that they did. I drove to their store which is not easy to get to due to the high volume of traffic in the area. I showed the manager my purse who declared, "This is not a current model". Yes, I know, but your assistant assured me that Gucci would stand behind their product. The manager said, "Gucci only warranties for 1 year." THEY DON'T TELL YOU THAT WHEN YOU ARE BUYING THEIR PRODUCT!
When you pay almost $2000.00 Canadian dollars for a purse, you are assured at the time that Gucci will stand behind their product FOR LIFE. I WILL NEVER BUY GUCCI AGAIN! If I want a bag that fades in a few months of use, I will pay 50.00 from Walmart who would stand behind their product more than Gucci. Gucci, stop charging high end prices and selling junk! I am sure there are more people who have been "dropped" by your after service and I am sure I am not the only person to "drop" Gucci.

I received a GUCCI wallet as a gift more than 10 years ago, and it still in good shape now. The leather has just started to wear a little bit around the edge, but I barely noticed it. I did not maintain this wallet at all, I has sometime forgot my wallet in the washer machine and it has been complete wet and soaked with the laundry bleach, but nothing happened. It is still shiny and in great shape. This is my every used wallet.
However, I can tell that the GUCCI hardware was not so good. The zipper pull broke in half after 2 years, but the leather was so durable. I think GUCCI is good in leather, but not their hardware or canvas. LV is better in canvas than GUCCI, but LV's leather is very horrible, LV's leather bag will start cracking very soon and if it has a leather strap, the strap would not last long either.

This is in regards to the bad quality of a Gucci wallet I had purchased from a Gucci exclusive store inside London Heathrow airport (after checking in). I was on a visit to London in September 2010. I wanted to gift my wife something special and decided on a Gucci wallet. I walked into a Gucci store and selected a brown wallet with a golden colored clasp. Even though its price was way above my budget, it seemed exactly the special gift I wanted to present my wife.
I had been an ardent follower of the growth and fame of the Kering, the parent company of Gucci brand and admired the luxury products under the Gucci brand label. It saddened me a lot when it came to my notice that the wallet started wearing off around mid-last year (2013) even though it was sparingly used. The leather of the wallet has frayed in patches at some places. The snap button also came off from the wallet. It bemused me that being a wallet from a Gucci brand label and a relatively costly one; it shouldn't wear out this soon.
Honestly, I am very disappointed and surprised that the wallet got damaged this soon. Especially for a brand that gives utmost importance to the quality of its products and a luxury brand label. I purchased the wallet expecting a high quality product, for the brand name and the high price tag but in return received a very low quality product with a luxury brand label. I sent mails to various customer care e-mail ads of Gucci, but received absolutely no response from them...

I took the bags to Gucci After Sales for repair and I was told that they could not be repaired and that "damage cannot be linked to any quality fault of the components but to external causes only". I wrote asking "What external causes" and said that I knew that my friend had exactly the same problem with the lining of her black bag, that Gucci was meant to stand for quality and that the Loewe and Ferragamo bags which I had bought the same year were still in immaculate condition. Therefore, if they could not be repaired, I did expect some compensation or a replacement black bag as it is unusable. It is over two months and I have not received a reply. I will never buy Gucci again.

I bought a Gucci purse in San Francisco less than 5 years ago. The strap of my purse is broken. Brought it to the store for repair. They told me it will take a couple of months, they have to send it to the repair. The repair stated the price of repair to change the handle strap is $150.00. I just had a baby and had no intention to spend that extra money for the bag that is worth $650.00 so I decided to keep the bag. After 6 months, I decided to bring back my purse to repair since I had the money for the repair. They accepted the purse and sent out for repair.
One month later, they sent me back the bag stating in the letter that they can't fix the bag because the part is no longer available. I called the customer service repair and the lady who helped me out said, "Sorry, we no longer carry the parts. We can't fix it." I called the San Francisco office and spoke to the manager but she is helpless. Bottom line, I am stuck with my broken purse. Wasted my money. I love Gucci. I purchased a handbag at a Gucci store in Gucci Selfridges Exchange Square, M3 1BD, Manchester, UK. The bag was bought about 16 days and used on special occasions only 2 times. However, the leather corners on the bag were frayed. When I brought the bag back to Customer Relations, I got a poor response. They pushed the blame and responsibility to me meaning that my use is faulty. Finally, I was told that the technical verification or repair time will take approximately 3-4 months as it will be sent to Italy. I agreed and asked for repair at least. But only one week, they phoned me back and said they've checked that was not a technical problem, that's nature fray, not anyone's fault.
But if I insisted on repair, I had to cover the cost sending back to Italy. That's awfully dishonest. I felt angry to provide that if they spent so much money and met such a problem, how they should do. They said they wouldn't handle it. So terrible and awful service. Certainly they wouldn't handle it, because that's the customer's money while they sold a handbag. When I would like talk on something, they cut off the phone suddenly, so horrible and rude. Normally, Gucci, in my heart, is a very reliable and gorgeous brand rather than LV, but till now I lost my confident and belief because they got the worst customer service the world over.
I also complained to the store manager where it was purchased and was told, "That was not a technical problem, that's natural fray, not anyone's fault, but you won't get any repair, or you should cover the cost sending to Italy! (Because I nearly can remember all different voices which I heard.)" I cannot stop imagining they didn't do anything, just take an excuse to refuse any repair or exchange. Specifically, I think they lost their faith and sale responsibility to their customers. All faulty product after sale is customer's blame, not theirs. And they didn't pack in front of customer. I absolutely saw they packed full-priced product in front of another customer, but they quibbled.
Buck-passing, dishonesty, rudeness and cheating on service - So horrible job they do. I won't purchase anything from Gucci again. No wonder more and more people choose another rising brand rather than Gucci. Maybe another brand pays very high attention to keep their reputation while Gucci is too conceited to ignore their quality-control and Customer Service. So unsensible!!! Just Don't Forget, anything is not dispensable and Irreplaceable.

Just 5 days ago, I visited Myer in the fragrance department. Looking for a cologne for my partner as a Valentine's gift, I decided upon Gucci Guilty.
First of all, not one employee that represented Gucci was there to help, and I had to wait 20 minutes for them to return. Not only that, the lady who served me was not at all helpful. I found myself repeating the same request when I was speaking loud and clear. It became frustrating.
Pushing aside the frustration, I asked specifically for "Gucci Guilty, nit the Gucci Guilty Intense. I'm after the Gucci Guilty 90 ml." The lady replied, "yes" then continued on to gift wrap the present. She did a horrible job.
In the mean time, I tried to start a conversation, in which she replied bluntly with a dead end.
On Valentine's day, I presented the gift to my partner and to their surprise and joy, opened the wrapping, followed by the cellophane, and one spray to test it - only for me to realize that it said "Gucci Guilty Intense". The scent was different and not what I was after.
I did not ask for the Intense. I asked for the original Gucci Guilty. Upon giving the same store a call, they told me that I could exchange the product for the one that was meant to be given to me in the first place.
Exactly 3 days later, I returned and asked for an exchange. She took it out of the packaging and sniffed the nozzle and replied, "we can't exchange this because it has been used." She never told me that one of their conditions included that, and neither does their docket. The manager was involved, and was extremely rude to me.
I took the time to go there and wasted it to find out that I wasn't able to return or exchange it for a product that was cheaper than what I purchased. It was my first time buying a fragrance, as well as the first time I had bought from Gucci.
Needless to say, my Valentine's was ruined because the lady gave me the wrong product and failed to mention that if I had sprayed the cologne, they would not allow exchanges.
I will never purchase anything by Gucci, nor will my partner.

Years ago, I bought a watch in the NYC Gucci store while I was on a trip to deliver my 8 year old son to camp. I wore the watch for years and replaced the strap with either a Gucci strap or one readily available where I live. When my son was about 20 years old my Gucci watch began to have some repair problems that the local watchmaker couldn't deal with and I sent it back to the Gucci facility for repair.
I waited and waited for some response from the Gucci repair people and finally began calling them. I was told that they didn't work on fakes. I then asked if they sold fakes at the NYC store. The woman was fairly rude so I began to call the repair shop and generally make a nuisance of myself. I was always faced with the same rudeness. After a few weeks, I finally got a response that an elderly repairman recognized the watch as one of theirs. The watch was repaired and returned to me finally, along with a fairly hefty bill.
Before the experience with the watch, I had purchased quite a few pairs of shoes and purses from Gucci. After the watch experience, I no longer purchased anything from Gucci and replaced my watch with a serviceable Cartier watch.
Fast forward twenty years. I happened to be in Scottsdale and stopped by the Gucci store. This was the first time that I had even walked into a Gucci store, mind you, in all that time. I saw a purse that I liked and asked if it came in other colors. The salesman at the Gucci shop returned after inquiring in the back room of the store to tell me that Gucci only made that purse in that color. I said that I would think about it and left the store.
Shopping further, I had an errand to run at Neiman Marcus. While there, I happened to look at the purses and found the identical Gucci bag in a different color that I liked. I did buy the bag and the sales woman was extremely helpful. On thinking back on my purchase, I have decided in future not to buy any further Gucci products. While the experience at Neiman's was pleasant, the salesman at Gucci lied to me. There are quite a few other purses and watches and etc in this world to purchase. Hermes comes to mind as being a very civilized and reputable place to shop, unlike my experiences with Gucci.

It really should not be cracking or losing color for this amount. When I got there, I was led to an assistant manager named Heidi. She kept telling me that it is a normal process, that all leather wears out like that, after only two months. She could do nothing to help me, no exchange, no store credit, nothing. Nothing should fall apart in two months, especially a $220.00 item with a designer name like Gucci. It’s very unprofessional of them to make fun of how my mother spoke, who was with me at this time. I have purchased several Gucci handbags from Italy and USA. This is the first time in my life that I have facing unacceptable experience in the high end upper class retail handbag in a 5-star hotel. This is the Thanksgiving vacation on Sunday November 27, 2011. I stay the Bellagio hotel Las Vegas and make some shopping for my self, friends, and family. After I make some purchase at Louis Vuitton Bellagio, Las Vegas and I went into Gucci because Gucci handbag is one of another brand that I love to purchase for my daily used.
My dad is using his credit card to pay for this Gucci handbag for my mom. After he signed the receipt, Iris handed the receipt over and said this item: this is final sale, no return, no exchange on this item. Period.
It was ok at the time because my mom like the handbag and it was a Christmas give for her. But if Gucci is going to do a sale item on a Gucci purse and Gucci will not accept the return or exchange, your employees should have state that at the beginning or before customers make their final decision at the purchasing counter. If Gucci is going to continue to do the business like this, Gucci will lose customer’s relationship of trust.
After I walked out from Gucci Store for less than 5 minutes, I asked my dad for the receipt and took a look at the price showing on the receipt it doesn't match from the price that Iris told me. So I went back right away to talk to her. While I was waiting, there’s one Asian lady trying to help me. She tried to call Iris to come to the front. I am waiting at the chair about 10 minutes because she was in the back room. There one gentlemen, his name is Steve **; he asked me what can he help me. I explained the situation to him and he said that Gucci never has a price ending in 7 ($677) always ending in 9 ($739). I told him I don't know what is your ending price in Gucci and I don't work for Gucci, but I please get Iris for me.
Iris arrived after I waited for 10 minutes. She said the price is not $677. I asked her to get the price tag that is attach to the handbag the one that she took it out. She came back with the price tag and she flipped it over it and said 677739. I told her here it said 677 and you told me $677. She said 677 is the Gucci location number and it’s not the price tag. So I told her well it was miscommunication because there was another one that is less than $700 and my mom also like that handbag, maybe I rather exchange. She said no. She can't do anything: no return, no exchange. She said there is nothing she can do with the aggressive tone and facial attitude. I asked her nicely. It’s less than 5 minutes that I have walk out and come back right away after notice the price tag is different and you wouldn't let me do anything.
I asked to speak to the manager and she said there is no manager on floor and later she said she going get a manager. I waited another 10 minutes. Here, another sale person approaches to me. His name is Steve ** and he does not introduce himself to me, but I got the information after this incident. He said there is no return on this item. I told him it was a misunderstanding; he told me it’s my loss that I am not going to get this handbag. He said that I don't have to money to pay that is why I am returning the handbag and he grabbed my handbag with the attitude.
I was very upset being treated with this kind of manner and languages. This is unacceptable: this is an upscale, high class handbag store inside a 5-star hotel! To have a sale person speak to me like this! After arguing, I told him it is not my loss, it is your loss because I don't want this handbag no more. I am not happy with your service and I do have money don't you see I just purchased Louis Vuitton handbags? It is more expensive. He starts saying all kind of unacceptable words with facial expression that shouldn't be used in a high class handbag store inside 5-star hotel.
This is unacceptable: he called hotel security. I don't understand either why he needs to call security. Am I stealing anything? Security arrived and Steve ** told security that he wants me to step outside. I told the security what happened and Steve ** is still talking with a bad manner and yelled out loud inside the Gucci store and told me: "Get out from my store!" After he has this kind of attitude, I don't want to waste my time and money with low class employee. I walked out with security and told security that you do whatever you can to get my money back and give me the full refund of my handbag and I need the cashier’s name and that low class employee.
After waiting outside, Steve ** came out and hand security my refund receipt and hand me his business card it said supervisor. Can you believe that GUCCI hired a low class customer service with facial expression and attitude working in 5-star hotel Bellagio Las Vegas? I am writing this letter to let Gucci know what I have asked for is a store manager and they said that there is no store manager and only employees working there.
I would like Gucci to know that you hiring this kind of employee and you will lose the sale. I also own my own business and deal with customer service everyday. This kind of word and attitude shouldn't come out from employee’s mouth. This is unacceptable. If Steve is my employee, he will be fired at the job site at the moment. Please view your camera recording for reference. I am really upset and I do not appreciate Gucci employee at all. A $60 different is not going to hurt me, but I went back to asked her to confirm the price. If she would said it nicely and don't have Steve step in with this kind of attitude, I might not return because my mom loved the handbag and I already purchased it. But it turned out this way so GUCCI will not have my money this time and
I will not spend my money in this kind of environment: it is not worth my time and money to talk with low class sale employee.I would like Gucci to know: Gucci it is not the only brand name handbag. There are other handbag stores that have better quality, cheaper, more expensive, but have polite service and welcome customer in the store. After I left Gucci store with bad experience, I went back to Louis Vuitton to purchase another handbag for my mom and it cost $2500. Sorry, it is your loss, Gucci; it’s not my loss at all. Get rid of low class customer service working in Gucci.

I purchased boots from the Gucci store in Manhasset, New York and wore them to my flight going from New York to Miami. Both flights, departure and the return flight they had to scan my boots. I asked them what was going on. This never happened to me before. I almost missed my flight by 10 minutes. I bought a pair of boots that I can't wear outside of New York or I would need to leave my house 1 hour earlier to make my flights. What is going on? I am asking for my money back cause I really can't deal with those shoes and the problem that they are accompanied with.

I bought a pair of Gucci sunglasses for $320 in NYC last week. The Gucci salesperson never mentioned the return policy. The first time I went to wear them, I immediately found out that I can't slide them on the top of my head. The arms not only spread out away from my head but they also won't fit behind my ears. I took them to Gucci at Scottsdale Fashion square today to exchange them for another pair.
The saleslady even tried them on and she couldn't fit them either! But she told me that she wouldn't exchange them for another pair that was the same price and fit properly. She informed that she couldn't sell them. Yet, they were never worn, in perfect condition, and just purchased. Also, another salesperson at the store was happy to sell me the floor model of another pair that was much more worn than my pair.
I understand if there was something wrong with them that I may have caused but I never wore them. I only wanted to exchange them for something that I could wear. This is totally disappointing and upsetting. Absolutely no customer service or concern for their customers. I will never buy anything from them again. I would recommend others not to waste their time and money at Gucci either.

Approximately a year ago, I purchased a Gucci Rose Gold Horsebit Bracelet for $5,000.00. After wearing the bracelet for about three weeks, I began to notice severe damage to the finish of the bracelet. I went back to return the bracelet and asked for a replacement since this one was obviously defective. The Gucci representative told me that they had to get a supervisor. The supervisor came out and was very curt and abrupt with me. Without allowing me to say very much, she said, "You've worn this bracelet. We cannot take it back. The only thing I can do is give you a polishing cloth."
Feeling defeated, I left the store. I went to my jeweler with the bracelet, and he told me that he could polish it if I wanted to but it would only happen again Ultimately, I sold the bracelet for used gold, since the bracelet looked like it was an antique after just one month.
In July of this year, I purchased a pair of Gucci thong sandals ($350). I was traveling to Italy, and with all of the weight restrictions on luggage, I wanted to bring the least amount of shoes possible. I thought if I purchased one good quality pair of flats, they could be worn on a daily basis. Boy was I wrong. Because it was hot in Italy, the shoes rubbed painfully and constantly on the bottom of my feet. Since the G was embossed all over the shoe, I developed a callous under each foot and painful water blisters between the first and second toe on each foot. Ultimately, I had to go out and buy another pair of walking shoes.
Upon my return, I immediately tried to return the shoes. I was told that I wore the shoes and was not allowed to return them. I called Gucci and have been chasing my own tail ever since. I've left countless messages for them to call me back, to no avail. On both occasions, I was told that I couldn't return the items because they were worn. Well, that was the idea to, wear the bracelet and wear the shoes! I was not expecting the bracelet to wear out or the shoes to give my feet such pain that I wore more band aids in three weeks than I've worn in a lifetime. If these products were not so inferior, I would have kept and loved both of them.
The final straw has been the lack of customer service/concern that Gucci has for its customers. No one has had the decency to telephone me, email me, fax me, regardless of what I have been saying. They are selling a tremendously inferior product and charging high end prices. I suspect that they are using sweat shop factories to produce these products and lining their already padded pockets with the profits. What an absolute disgrace.

In October 2010, I purchased a purse from a Gucci store at the Fashion Walk Mall in San Diego, CA. I was so happy, it was my first Gucci purchase. I would only wear it on special occasions. I probably wore it twice before the embarrassing incident happened. I was in a party last February, proudly wearing my Gucci purse, when suddenly, it fell! The stitching in the buckle area apparently broke. I went to a Gucci store in Union Square, San Francisco, CA and they had it sent for repair. I waited for almost six weeks and the purse came back with green stitching--the original stitching is black. I returned it again to the same store and they had sent it back for another repair. I am still waiting for it. For the 11 months that I'm "owning" it, it's with the repair shop for almost four months. This is unacceptable.

I tried to return the bag today. Three sales assistants served me, each asking what was wrong, so I repeated the story three times. Nobody in the store could resolve the issue. No customer service, very disappointing for a so-called luxury brand.

I was standing there try to talk to the SA and wait at the door until one of them open the door and talk to me.
I show them the receive and ask for the new replacement. The manager of the shop name Tanya Du said I have use it so I can't get the refund or replacement at all, and all they can do is send it to fix which take about 7 days which I don't have. I ask them about the warranty because the hardware fell of after a 4 day used that couldn't be a customer fault, and Clary at the back of the receipt said that this bag can be exchange within 14 days if the bag is faulty, unusable or not working as they described, but they still deny it , they said hardware fall of is just hardware fall off it's not faulty... understand?. And it all just because i had use the bag (for 4 days). I don't think this people really understand what is Warranty is at all. All they can say is I had use it so it can't be helped. Finally a manager told me that " you have to get it fix in Bangkok because Gucci have a world wild Guarantee and Gucci store in Bangkok must do it, and if Gucci Thailand don't do it just email me". I left the store with anger, frustrated and feeling terribly stupid of wasting my money on this crappy hand bag. I really disappointed with Gucci, I never though that the product with this price could be so poor in quality and service.
And now with Gucci store in Bangkok, when i take the defect Bag to get fix, I was told that I will have to pay about $30 AUD for the missing hardware zipperthat fall of by the poor production quality of Gucci factory and it going to take at least about 90 days to put the hardware back on the Zipper!!! That liar denied a store credit, insisted on exchange only (so he won't lose commissions).
He was rude, obnoxious and very sleazy. What a liar. He acted like jerk. He cares only about his commissions at any expense, ready to rip it out of your throat, no matter what. What a horrible store. They don't have customer service and their merchandise is an overpriced junk. If Gucci employs people like that, I am not shopping there anymore. This caused the leather piping along the side to bleed all over the canvas. I attempted wiping and drying the bag, but it did not help. I contacted the store, and I was charged $20 to send the bag out to restoration, after which I was told would cost me an additional $150. I argued the color on the bag was not my doing, and I refuse to pay for something that was not my fault.
The bag was sent off to repair, after several correspondence between myself and the store, and repair department. I was told my bag was unrepairable and the dye that has turned my tan bag brown, was not a manufacturer's defect. Gucci, now refuses to assist me any further, and claim no responsible base on the fact that they did not wet the bag, and caused the damage. I believe that Gucci, being a "reputable", company needs to stand behind their products, and the materials they use to produce them. I believe that at the cost of their merchandise, they should be able to withstand everyday unfeasible occurrences. As a result of this bag getting wet, it is now unusable.

I purchased one Gucci bag (HB Joy Boston) from London back in 2007. After a few uses, the silver colored skin on the handle started to peel off. Finally, when I returned to my home country in 2009, I visited one of the Gucci outlets in Bangkok (Gaysorn Plaza). I asked them to send my bag to the repair shop. I was shocked when I was told that the replacement of the handle will cost me THB 4,000 (USD 130) as I purchased the bag abroad. However, I decided to go ahead with the repair anyway as I have not had a choice if I still want to use the bag.
At that time (1-08-09), I was told that the repair will take approximately 4 months and the staff will call me when the repair is done. I waited for almost 6 months and no one called. So afterwards, I called the repair shop every month just to check on the repair status. Every time, their response would be, “You will have to wait as we have the long queue.” As of today (3-08-10), just over a year passed, still no one ever called. When I called, they were still repeating themselves, saying the same phrase.
Frankly, I am very disappointed with the customer service of the brand. None of the reasonable reason was given to me and they cannot provide any information on how long I have to wait. As a customer of one of the most famous hi-end brands, don't you think I deserve a better service globally? I understand that it will take time to get the repair done, but one year is more than enough. Don't you think?

It turned black after wearing it only a few times over a period of less than one month. I have pictures to prove how terrible the necklace looked.
I sent it back to the closest store to me, being Toronto. The person in charge of jewelry was condescending and terribly rude, telling me that this was normal for silver jewelry. They refuse to take the necklace back! After he spent an hour cleaning it, he says it looks like new again. And, as far as they are concerned, they don't consider the product to be defective. How could you possibly think that it is normal to have to spend an hour cleaning a necklace that is barely a month old?
The product is clearly inferior in nature, as is their customer service! I was very clear that I did not want the necklace back. I would be happy to exchange it for something else. I do not need a refund, but I do not want the necklace back. I am out several hundred dollars for a necklace that I will have to spend hours cleaning every time I wear it! I am also completely insulted and annoyed and disillusioned with my favorite designer of accessories.

My boyfriend and I went shopping in Gucci in the Wynn hotel in Macao. I bought a few items and also tried on a size 17 white gold thumb ring which I liked but didn’t end up buying. One week later it was my birthday and my boyfriend bought me a ring from Gucci, the same one which I had tried the week before. The lady in the shop said it was a size 16 but not to worry it could be changed if the size was wrong. When I opened the ring it was not a size 16, it was a size 10 so I took it back and said I wanted the size 17 which I had tried previously. She then went to imply that I was lying and that I had never tried a size 17 ring on and that they did not have them.
So I replied that yes in fact I tried both sizes 17 and 18 and would like one of these sizes, as the size 16 did not fit and the size 10 that she had given him by mistake did not fit any of my fingers. I asked the lady to order me a size 17 or 18, so I could just exchange and she replied that, “Oh sorry missy, I checked on the computer and nowhere in the world has a size 17 or 18,” which is a load of crap! When I asked finally for the money back because there was not anything else in the shop I wanted, she told me I was not allowed and that she would contact customer services and let me know in 10 days if I was eligible for a refund. Now as it stands, my boyfriend paid $1400 for me to be insulted by the disrespectful lady from Gucci. No one gives you a gift with the bill because they don't need you to know the price of it (it's a common thing)." And my aunt also didn't keep a bill because she believed in this brand that would be of good quality and good service also.
Then she said that I have only 2 choices - show the bill or pay money. But I have a right to deny this payment so I asked her about my right. She said that she's just a sale's staff and have a duty to tell me the service charge! Then I asked her, "So, who I should talk with about this problem?" She said, "Who do you want to talk to (with a bad tone)?" I said, "Just someone who can solve this problem." Then she said she didn't say that she can't fix it, so what is her meaning? Then I asked her, "What is your advice?" She said, "Same as I told you." I felt like she just wants to mess me up. Then I said, "That's okay" and hang up the phone. I was shopping in the Westchester Mall about a month ago. I walked into Gucci and I fell in love with a leather handbag that fit my needs. It was $1880- defintely not cheap! I decided to order it and I placed an order with a sales girl, Amber, from the Westchester. She asked me for my cell number so she could follow up with me on that order of the bag.
A couple of days later I had no phone call or news about the handbag so I called and I touched base with Amber again on the status. She said she would call me back. She called me back and said that the bag was on order and that she will call me when it comes in. A couple of weeks go by and no phone call. I did tell her that I wanted it before Thanksgiving too. It was a few days before thanksgiving and I spoke with a manager, Melissa, there to explain how I wanted the bag and if she could follow up on the order.
Melissa said that Amber was taking care of it. Another week went by and no answer. So I called for Amber with a sense of urgency for the bag and left a message. No phone call. Then I called again and I got to speak with her and she said there was no bag in yet and that she reassured me she would call the 5th avenue store again and call me back before she left work. It even came down to me apologizing for being so anxious for the bag. I have no idea why I even gave her the time of day to apologize. NO PHONE CALL again from her.
I want to warn everyone that Amber missed out on a $1800 sale and was extremely rude to careless about even wanting to help me find something I wanted. I thought that having a sales job was to help people find what they want, NOT to ignore them. All in all, I did end up purchasing the bag with the help from the manager, Melissa, and she lost commission on the sale.
What I want to voice out is that the customer service in that store was like scraping the bottom of a barrel to find even the slightest drop of help there. All the sales people were standing around and not even helping people. Why was I busting my butt to find a bag that Amber should of been tracking down?? Now its about a month later and I finally am getting the bag sent to me.
I feel discouraged that after this experience. I don't look at Gucci with utmost respect. It has lost its reputation in my book. Maybe the managers in that Westchester Gucci store should retrain their employees to be nicer and more helpful.

However, after giving me a look that traveled from head to toe, she told me to look for someone else to help me. As I told the new sales associate, one who happened to be passing by exactly what I just told her co-worker: I'm looking for a Gucci belt-bag, I quickly glanced at the direction where the last sales associate now stood.

They were both looking at me as if I had no right to be at their store. Completely shocked and surprised, I decided to return my full attention to the sales associate who was in front of me only to discover that she too was looking at me in the same way. In addition, she told me that she wanted me to wait for another sales associate, one at a close-by counter, but was helping a family of four at the time.
As I headed for that specific counter, looking around, I noticed that there were mutliple sales associates standing around seemingly waiting for customers to assist - anyone of whom could have re ndered the assistance I had hoped to get at Gucci. These included the first 3 sales associates I encountered. Now feeling disturbed and extremely uncomfortable, I decided to return to the last sales associate to ask her why I would have to wait for someone else who was obviously in the midst of helping other customers while she, among others, were available.
Sounding annoyed at my question, she replied, what is it you want anyhow? . And I once again told her that I would like to look at and possibly purchase a belt bag. After telling me the price for various ones, she finally walked to where the bags where. And after having been shown two different ones, I said thank you, and left the store. But in utter disgust, I write to complaint and ask why such things happen. I also ask how a loyal customer could be treated in such a way that makes me feel regretful about past purchases. How could these people treat me as if I was begging them for money when in reality, I just wanted to buy yet another Gucci product.
Is it because I am not Japanese like the majority of the sales associates and/or customers in the store. Is it because my husband, an African-American, and I, a Filipino-American, were the only two non-Japanese customers in the store at the time? ... WHY?
I would never return to Gucci again! I cannot, in all conscience, support nor condone any such treatment. For days, and even to date, I am still angry about the way I was treated. My husband and I come to Honolulu every 6 months, and our visit to the Gucci store in Ala Moana Mall will from here on stay on our minds.

On July 12th, 2002, My friend Elizabeth and I were walking the caesar forum in Las Vegas, NV, when we decided to stop in the Gucci store to look for a hat we've been searching for for a while. As I entered the store, wearing flip flops, I had stepped on a toothpick that was embedded into their floor somehow. The toothpick entered my right heel and stung pretty bad.
I had approached Odile, one of the employees and told her what happened. She looked at me strangely and told me she had nothing for me to use and that I should WALK to the center court and ask the booth if they had the proper equiptment. I was flabbergasted, but proceeded to do so, when I approached the center they said to ask security.
So here I am, with my heel bleeding walking around looking for something to clean it up with. That's when I approached Tim Davis, security for the caesar forum. He was awesome and grabbed me stuff to clean my wounds with, and walked into Gucci to let them know what he was doing.
When he came back he told me I should go get the persons name who I first spoke with at the Gucci store. This is where me coming here for help steps in. At this point I'm limping, but managed to walk despite the annoying pain in my heel and headed back to Gucci with Elizabeth to get the associates name. When I walked in, Odile acted like she didn't know what happened and asked me again what happened. I told her the story again and she asked to see it, I showed her my heel though it was a small wound, it hurt, but that was besides the point. She said, well you look fine and wondered why I was back.
That's when I told her that the security told me to come and get her name, and the next statement threw me into a loop. Odile said to me I cannot give you my name, I was shocked and repeated what she said to me. you can't give me your name? she shook her head and started to throw me attitude. This whole time Elizabeth, the daughter of a successful trucking company, was watching not believing the treatment I was getting from this lady.
When the other staff members, whose names I did not get, came around, it was AFTER Odile started to raise her tone saying she would not give me her name, and left to the back room to get me her managers name, but not her own. Only when she left did I get her name through another employee working that night, and that employee finally convinced her to write her name on the card. I was given the managers name and operation managers name, but since it was late in the evening, neither were available, and I was to leave the next day back to California.

this is a very expensive watch, and I don't feel I should have to pay to have it repaired, especially since I paid so much for it. My wife's gucci sat 1 year without replacing the battery with no problems. I want it repaired.
