    We went into the store because of all the advertising and signs about their BOGO half off sale. Inside the store, there are letter sized signs about BOGO half off everywhere. The signs were strategically placed mostly above their best quality shoes. But If you read the small print at the bottom of the sign, it tells you there may be restrictions. Then when you try to pick a second pair of quality, they never seem to qualify. I consider this false advertising.

    Marina at the Bullhead City, AZ store finally told us that only the "blue tag" shoes qualified for the BOGO half off sale. But Marina was rude about it sounding as if we should have already known that any promotion by Famous Footwear was only false advertising. Over and over she blamed management for the misleading signs and even the placement of the signs. She couldn't even move the signs around. The signs were always placed above their best shoes to imply that you could save half on a second pair of that shoe (but you couldn't). We will never set foot in another one of these stores. They are designed liars out to take advantage of misleading sales promotions.

    My wife and I went to the store for shoes/boots for our son. The associate in the store was not familiar with ordering shoes in store for free home delivery that were not in stock. We placed the order and paid in-store with debit card. We were told by the associate that placed the order that it would be delivered Friday the 21st of June. I went online to Famous Footwear to check on the order tracking only to see that it showed the order as being cancelled. I called the customer service phone number to find out why it showed cancelled and if in fact cancelled why the funds have not been returned to my checking account.

    After waiting more than 20 minutes on the phone I finally had a representative answer the phone. The representative was very rude and argumentative. She stated that the system is set up to automatically send an email to the email on file yesterday when the order was cancelled. I informed them that the last email I recieved from their store was on the 19th of June, and was a sales advertisement.

    The representative insisted that due to paying in store with a debit card that the refund would be mailed to me in the form of a check and not credited directly back to the card. After 10 minutes or so she resent the email that was supposedly automatically sent by the "system". When I reviewed the email sent to me it stated plainly that the refund would be going back directly to my debit card. With this conflicting information, I again asked and was told that a check was being mailed to me. The representative became more rude in her tone and words because I asked for clarification when the "system" sent that it was going back on the card and the representative continued insisting that it was being refunded via check in the mail. I asked to speak to a supervisor which made her tone and manner of speaking to a customer even worse than previously.

    After being on hold another 15 minutes a "Supervisor" came on the line (this supervisor sounded to my wife and I like the same person we were talking to the whole time). This person stated that the other representative apologized to me for the cancellation of the boots that were ordered (if this happened, we cannot recall but it could have been done when she would interrupt and try to talk over us). She stated that the refund was going back to the debit card and not a check being mailed as the first representative kept insisting. She insisted that the first representative did not provide me with inaccurate information regarding the refund and followed protocols. I still am not sure how the refund is being processed. Famous Footwear has lost my business permanently. What happened to customer service in this country (if it was in this country and not a foreign call center)? They have completely lost my trust and I will take my money elsewhere in the future.

    Was sent the wrong size and after returning for the correct size I was charged $8 for a return label. So I ended up paying more than list for their mistake!!! Beware of this egregious and unwarranted charge. Do not recommend this business.

    My wife ordered shoes online and received the totally wrong shoes. When she went to the store to return them, which she shouldn't have to, they refused to refund the cost of shipping for the original order. What a ridiculous policy where we have to pay for their mistakes. Buyers beware, bad shoes.

    I am disappointed in the way my items were shipped to me. One pair was in a box that was smashed and small, was not even the box the shoes went in. Box was taped to make sure shoes did not fall out.. The second pair was in another smashed box with no lid. Was just thrown in and covered in the red bag that Famous footwear uses. These shoes were a gift for two different people. How can you give someone a gift like this. I have tried to call in. Recording starts off, says a 10 minute hold time but gradually gets higher. Which makes no sense. I waited over a hour before hanging up.

    The website says: "WANNA TALK? We're here to listen. No matter what you need, we're here to help. CALL US 1-800-969-7500." But how do we get to talk to someone. I needed these gifts like tomorrow and now I have to purchase something else. Also I order online because I lives miles from a location and I have no way to get o the store. So I give it another try and I call in and put the phone down and wait for a answer. After 42 mins a lady answers and basically tells me she will report the incident but really can't do anything, I do not feel confident in reordering from Famous Footwear.

    Placed an order from Famous Footwear 3 days ago. Showed delivered today but no delivery received. FF policy will not allow me to file a claim for 8 days. Fed Ex can’t help and said I need to work with the shipper. Will never order from Famous Footwear again.

    If I can give a 0 I would of. I lost my house keys in the store in Fordham Plaza and due to the fact they were counting money at the register wasn't able to go into the store to find my house keys. I told them I'll wait till they finish but they told me they can't do that. I had to call the cops but before the cops got there they were just laughing. I was standing outside with my mom who was on a walker and my two kids and left thru the back of the store. They didn't even open when the officers came. I literally had to go stay at a friends house till I could of got hold of my management office. Store is very disrespectful especially all them young workers that they have running the store. Worst experience in my life. Will never buy from this store again.

    Customer service DOES NOT EXIST. I placed an online order on Saturday. The order made it to a FedEx warehouse, in my state of New Jersey, the following Friday, (5 business days), great! NO! It sat there over the weekend and I saw no movement until Wednesday, which showed the order was now on its way to Arizona! WHAT!!! After 5 calls to try and get someone on the phone in customer service, they were no help at all. The first call to check I was given some extra points for my next order. The 5th call deemed useless. I had no answers as to why this package is travelling the U.S. Instead of an immediate refund, I have to wait another 2 days for an "investigation" before any money is given back. This is the worst experience I have ever had ordering with this company online. NEVER AGAIN!!!

    It is very difficult to get any type of help from Famous Footwear on the telephone. You can't get in touch with the bank. You can't get in touch with Representatives. They don't want to help you when it comes to payments and receiving statements but they will continue to put late fees on your account whether you get a statement or not and they're very disrespectful and very rude.

    I chose to pay with Apple Pay which took me to a different screen and changed my shipping. My Online order is now shipping to store in another city. Tried to cancel but they don’t do cancellations. Thank goodness my credit card reversed charges. Famous Footwear Customer service said after 7 days they would ship my shoes back to the warehouse. Then after a couple weeks they would start refund process.

    I went into the famous footwear location at the ROGUE Valley Mall in Medford, Oregon on the evening of February 26th to buy a pair of shoes for my trip the next morning. There was a colored man and a girl with a bad complexion talking away behind the desk, I wanted to buy a second pair in a different color, and she ignored me, rang up my order, and never stopped talking to the man or said hello welcome to the store, Nothing! She handed my receipt to me (still visiting with the other employee) didn’t say thank you so I said “you’re welcome!“ It’s like I wasn’t even there! If I was running this place, she would be fired! RUDE!!! Order #**.

    Famous Footwear does not communicate with their customers. I ordered some shoes and never got a response from them. It took 10 days and I went to the store so they could tell me they don't have them and they will issue me a check for my refund in the mail if it hasn't came by the end of the month come back.

    Famous Footwear shipped two left shoes, one of which was the even the incorrect size and color. Their return procedures require the customer to pay for the return shipping. Avoid Famous Footwear. I'm not aware of single other major corp that requires the customer to pay for the return shipping charges, especially when the error is the fault of the shipper.

    Talk to 3 different people about a order I place in store. We’re supposed to get them shipped and still haven’t got shoes or money back. Talk to a supervisor that didn’t know what to do so still at the bottom of my problem with nothing who can I speak with.

    On Aug. 8, 2023 I purchased two pair of Nike shoes for my grandkids for their birthday. The total came to $164.67 that I had to place the order on my debit card, for when I went to use my Famous footwear card with a valid thru date of 06/26, it was declined. The cashier tried multiple times. I explained I hadn't used it in a while. She stated I would have to contact customer care to get it reactivated. I contacted customer care that stated at first the problem was an incorrect valid date. It couldn't be for its engraved on the card. Then she said there was a hold on it for I haven't used the card recently. What upsets me is don't put a valid through date of 06/26 and turn around and penalties a consumer for not using it to their liking. If I didn't have the money in my checking my twin Grandsons would have been extremely disappointed. We spent 30 minutes trying on shoes and finding the ones that fit and they chose as their gift.

    Manager and a clerk were standing behind the register, with no customers in the store. I asked for help in getting shoes I ordered there in the store, to be delivered to my home, 17 days ago. Manager helped me track. Tracking info she found was erroneous. She would not give a refund or help by contacting FF customer service for me. I am a member and a regular customer. Not anymore.

    They shipped the wrong shoes, the shipping label stated if not happy with your order, return them and they will reimburse you the shipping charges. A week later I received an email stating they received the return and they only refunded part of the price of the shoes and no shipping to receive or return them. I contacted customer service and they said they would refund the shipping charges. A couple days later I checked my account and there was less than a dollar returned, I emailed them and they said that was the taxes on the order, they didn’t reimburse shipping. They offered a 20% discount on my next order, I will never place another order with this company and would never recommend anyone else to order from this company.

    I have purchased some shoes from Famous Footwear and the first time was fine. The second time they delivered to a wrong address. As a matter of fact a whole different state. Like who does that. I called and emailed them and they said they cannot do anything about it but wait two weeks 'til I get a refund and they will not send the item to me. I have to reorder.     I purchased two pairs of shoes online and would typically have them sent to a store but one pair was only available online so I chose to ship to my house. I am dyslexic and accidentally switched the first two numbers of my street address for shipping and did not realize the mistake until I saw the order confirmation. I called their customer service before I had received any type of shipping confirmation number to see if this could be amended or to cancel and reorder with the correct address. I spoke with a woman who wouldn't even look up my order number that told me they weren't able to do anything. Apparently if your order is shipped to the wrong address you just have to hope the other person refuses the order or that it gets sent back to get a refund or ship it again.

    I was told I could contact FedEx to try and change the address but was told only the shipper could change shipping info. I spoke to different person through Famous Footwear's customer service about this who told me there was nothing he could do and no supervisor to speak with about the issue and hung up on me. I purchase shoes 1-2 times a year regularly and will never do so again. Perhaps training your reps to do literally anything to resolve an issue would mitigate so many negative reviews and keep your customers.

    Let me start by saying if I could give this company less than 1 star I would. I have been a long time customer of Famous Footwear, I usually order for my entire family from here, but Never again will I use them. I placed my order on March 5th and Fedex said they delivered it on March 11th, but I never received the package. I was told I would have to wait till today March 25th to have them file a lost package claim (Famous Footwear). I could not even talk to a real person at fedex, they tell you all claims have to go through the sender.

    I emailed, and I called about these shoes I never got no less than 6 times and today they tell me I have to wait another 2 weeks because they are behind on shipments. I ask to speak to a supervisor and was left on hold 20 min before I just hung up. Save yourself frustration, if they lose or even never send your order you will never get your money back. I don't know when they changed their policy but this Company is not consumer friendly

    So I ordered sneakers that were suppose to arrive the 18th. I know it's only the 20th but the sneakers were not even shipped yet. I called customer service, they told me to "give it some time". They also said they would wave the shipping fee which has not happened yet. From all the reviews I wish I would have looked at first, it does not seem I will be getting them anytime soon.     My wife and I closed out an account at Famous Footwear because of a negative experience we had with a return at the store. We called Famous Footwear to pay off and close the account. The representative said the account was paid in full and we would not have to do any further business with them and closed the account. The next month they charged us a late fee. We called them on 11/5/2021 to dispute the charge and they were VERY rude especially the manager Misty! I will never deal with Famous Footwear or Comentity Bank ever again! Terrible service!

    First experience shopping was awful. I have four teenagers and the store didn't keep stock of their shoes. Couldn't find my kids' sizes in almost every pair they picked out. Frustrating. Thought to save money I would open an account. Horrible decision. Customer service and supervisor Misty was unprofessional and rude. I called to close out my account and had a zero balance, they then sent me a bill for a $37 late charge. They refused to make it right. Will never buy from their company again.

    I went with my broken Birkenstock to the store. The manager told me to come back with the receipt to get the shoes replaced or my money back. I live 15 Miles from the store. Came back with the receipt and he wanted to give me $6 back and KEEP my shoes! I called the corporate office, was on hold 20 min., we discussed the issue, until he hanged up on me.

    Never order online from Famous Footwear! You will not get your delivery and then you have to fight with them to get your money back or replacement item! I ordered two pairs of shoes that they claimed they delivered to me and the courier company claimed delivered to me yet I did not get them! They are unwilling to refund my money or send me new shoes! I'm having to go through my bank to reverse the charges! Absolutely terrible customer service!

    Will never order again from Famous Footwear! Horrible customer service. Package was supposed to arrive in 5-7 days but literally took 27 days. Arrived at local usps depot 1 hour away in 5 days and sat in warehouse for the next 22 days. After 10 days I called usps to see if I could pick up my package but they said - No, call sender to authorize pick up. After 4 phone calls getting hung up on and transferred over and over famous footwear said they can't do anything even though they just need call usps or change authorization online. Finally received package literally after an entire month even though the package was less than an hour away in perfect weather. I will NEVER order from famous footwear again!

    Famousfootwear.com online ordering is horrible. I've had to order my items twice due to never receiving my items. I even paid extra for 2 day shipping and still haven't received them 8 business days later. Takes multiple phone calls to have a credit issued.. Guess I will have to order from competitors.

    I gave the store 3 stars because in store Clifton, NJ experience and return was great. No problem. I took away 2 stars because I ordered a pair of shoes online and they sent me the wrong pair of shoes. The right color, brand, size. But the wrong pair of shoes. I ended up keeping them because I liked them, and not to deal with the headache and hassle of going to the store with a shipment receipt stating they mailed out Lifestride Mary Jane and a box of shoes containing Lifestride I-Loyal. Completely different styles. One I ordered were heels, the one I received were Ballet shoes. Liked them so I kept them. It's like they grabbed whether they saw in front of them and sent.

    I spend a lot of money at this store and yesterday I bought 3 pairs of shoes. I get home and look at the other one only to see they are extremely worn. This is an ongoing issue at this store. During a pandemic this shouldn’t be allowed. These shoes weren’t even cleaned a little so I doubt they were treated with disinfectant. If I’m spending this much money on a product I expect it to be Brand new! Only my germs have touched it! I have to drive an hour to your store each way so it’s a huge hassle! The store is never stocked and it basically serves as a exchange hub!

    I was very very upset that when I arrived home I opened the box of shoes and there was 2 left shoes in box. Well I had to drive all the way back to exchange the extra left shoe for a right shoe. It cost me time gas and a whole lot of anxiety.. It's their job before they bag it to check the box to make sure you have both right and left shoes. They didn't offer me anything. I'm pissed off because I was getting ready to fly to San Francisco. I'm glad I checked the box before departing. Very upset with their lack of apology.. I will never buy from them again..

    On the December 24, 2020 I order two pairs of Tommy Hilfiger's rain boots and had them shipped to my mama house because of delivery issues and I was going out of town for the holidays. I didn't receive my items and Famous Footwear during poor by reissue my items. I am asking for the main Corp number and they refuse to give it to me.

    I would suggest buying in store only versus online ordering. My orders kept changing delivery date every few days. It was the oddest thing, and changed from being a delivered a week from the buy date, to two weeks and then THREE weeks.

    I am pleased with everything! Although, I was reading other reviews and was highly scared to order from Famous Footwear. I ordered a pair of yellow Crocs, and I have to say that I am in love with them. They were at a wayyy less price online at Famous Footwear than at the Croc store. I ordered them Friday Dec 25, 2020 and they got here on Thursday Dec 31st 2020. It was nice and fast! I will be ordering from this store again (despite the pandemic).

    I was in the Cross Iron Mall and purchased 2 pairs of shoes on the BOGO 1/2 off sale. They didn't have my size but said they will deliver them via FEDEX within 7 business days. After numerous phone calls and hearing "we'll fix this sir and refund you sir" once a week since AUGUST 30, 2020 (ya I know right!?), I was PROMISED via telephone call by a "returns specialist" I would receive my $173.23 refund within 2 weeks. Same thing I heard 3 other times by other "return specialists". DO NOT BUY FROM THEM if they don't have in stock!!!!

    First, I want to say I've been buying your product for years. Today I placed an online order for 2 pairs of shoes. When I finalized the purchase a pop-up saying there was a technical error, try again later came up. A few hours later, while checking my bank account balance, I noticed I had been charged 5 times for the order I tried to make. I called up your online support and was told there is no order in my name at all, and to call my bank. My bank told me there's nothing I can do since the 5 charges are in-process. I have to wait and see if they clear and then I can dispute them.

    I called your customer service back again to let them know this. After waiting 20 minutes on hold the phone picked up and instantly disconnected and went to a survey asking how well you guys did solving my problem. I called again (another 20 minutes) and again was told nothing at all could be done. Basically sorry, but just deal with it. Then to add insult to injury I get an email saying there's items in my cart that I haven't paid for yet... really???

    It's a holiday weekend and now I have less than $50 in my account until who knows when because you have kidnapped my money. I've been a steady customer for years, even before I became a member. I will never buy ANYTHING from you again! The best customer service can do is say sorry. I can't believe there's absolutely nothing that can be done for any kind of attempt at making this right. Ridiculous!

    I ordered two pairs of shoes on a BOGO deal. I checked ground shipping and received the first pair within two days. Then, I received an email that stated my second pair was delivered 08/16/2020. But there was no box. I checked all of my security cameras, nothing. So I called customer service. They said that FedEx had probably marked it delivered because they dropped it off at the local post office for Sunday delivery. But that I had to wait an additional 14 days to file a claim, which is longer than the original shipping time.

    I went to the post office to find my shoes, nothing. So I wait. I call today and speak to customer service, again. They said that they take no responsibility because it was in FedEx position so instead of just sending me the shoes, that I actually needed, they filed a claim for FedEx to reimburse me stating that it’s the FedEx policy to make consumers wait an additional 14 days after the shoes are marked delivered to file the complaint. I didn’t order from FedEx. I don’t want my money back. I want my shoes that I will now have to order at full price because of a policy from a company that I didn’t order from. Famous Footwear states that this is a constant issue with FedEx. Seems to me like Famous Footwear should find a new parcel carrier. Unless they just don’t want to honor their sales and this is the way around it? Makes no sense.

    I ordered a pair of Blowfish shoes and a pair of Roxy sandals. I ordered sizes I am normally/was currently wearing. I then read reviews of wrong sizes being shipped and wrong shoes being sent or taking forever and was super skeptical and regretted the purchase, but chose to see how it would go. Both pairs of shoes arrived in pristine condition, with accurate sizing and wrapped really cute! I placed my order on Friday, August 7th and the order arrived August 11th. AMAZING! Shoes are super cute and I am very happy with this place now.

    Ordered a pair of sneakers that never got delivered. If you try calling customer service be prepared to wait on hold for at least 30 minutes. After finally speaking with someone they told me they are experiencing shipping delays and I would need to wait 14 business days before I could open up a case about not receiving an item. So after waiting almost 3 weeks, I had not received the item I ordered and it could not be reordered as they were no longer available in the size I needed. I sent an email in regard to my experience and received a generic email back from the company stating I would receive an email back within 12-16 business days. Bottom line - Don't waste your time id you don't have a LOT of time to spare!

    I ordered shoes online from Famous Footwear because everything was locked down from Covid. They had good name brand shoes at decent prices. I get the shoes, took a long time to get them of course. I try on the sneakers and they are too small. I take them to send them back and it costs me $20 out of pocket. I track my package and it says they received my return June 8. I contacted them a week ago to see where my refund was and it says due to Covid there are delays. Today I received an email saying that they sent me a refund on today's date for $36. WTF, the shoes cost me $86!!!! I am beyond pissed off!!! So I ended up paying $70 for shoes I don't even have?!?! I emailed again asking for the $50 they are ripping me off of and I better get it back!!!

    I ordered slides for Father’s Day. Paid $22 for next day delivery and of course no delivery. So I go online to check the status and it says my order was canceled so I call customer service which wasn’t any help at all. Was told my order wasn’t canceled and that it’s shipping problems and I would get my $22 credit back. NEVER HAPPENED! So a couple days later I get a email saying it’s been canceled because of inventory so for the past day I have been trying to resolve this thru customer service but it’s so hard to even talk to someone.     I ordered two pairs of shoes on May 30th 2020. There is only one tracking number for two different packages and was supposed to be delivered through FedEx. According to FedEx both packages have been delivered on June 4th. That is Not correct. FedEx is not a company I would ever want to deal with again. They are untrustworthy! I called Famous Footwear trying to let them know what was going on and they had me on hold for 35 minutes. I waited after about 10 more minutes and was told it would be a 43 minute wait. Then, after a few more minutes I was told it would be a 44 minute wait. The longer I was on hold, the longer the wait I was being told. That didn't make any sense. I am very unhappy with Famous Footwear's customer service or lack of customer service and I'm very unhappy with the company they use, FedEx to deliver their products.

    I had ordered shoes from Famous Footwear online because stores have not been open. I ordered 2 pairs from Rack Room at the same time. I received the Rack Room shoes 5 days ago. Famous Footwear said that the shoes were shipped on the 28th, but in fact all that they had done was create the shipping label. I sent an email inquiring of the status. They sent back an automated response saying, based on their current email load, I can expect response in 12-16 days!!! In working customer service, we were required to respond within 24 hours. Never again ordering from Famous Footwear!!

    I purchased two pairs of sneakers early March 2020. So as the pandemic was increasing in its severity. The company has the sale part of working around these difficult times down to a science. However once you've paid you're out of luck unless you want to pay more money to fix their mistakes. One of my pairs of sneakers were used soles dirty marks on the inside as well as the outside of the shoe. Gross. With everything going on in the world right now they sent me dirty used shoes. Now I obviously I don't want them.

    Don't know how they sent a customer something that they state on their return policy that's unacceptable. "Unworn". I will have to pay the return shipping cost to get a refund. Because there is no one to answer the phones or an email a chat or any other means unless you're making a purchase famous footwear is closed. Please this is not good customer service from such a huge corporation. Smaller businesses I have conquered these issues in a taken care of the people that keep them in business.

    I ordered a pair of Skechers Bobs for Dogs Slip Ons size 8 in black and white as a gift for a friend. I received Blowfish Malibu Fruit in Dirty Pink Canvas size 9. (Really?) I wrote every 72 hours, which is what they stated would take for them to respond but never received a response. I called, and after being on hold for 15 minutes, I was finally told my call would be answered in 63 minutes. I tried again later and it was worse. (How am I supposed to work and be able to get through to these people when I have to sit on the phone for over an hour?) I am not willing to pay for return shipping for their error.     I placed an order with this company on March 28th. Per their order tracker, my shoes were shipped, not shipped, purchase declined, purchase complete, partial shipment, etc. The list goes on. I have tried to contact them multiple times in the past week via email, and phone. No reply to my email since Monday, and I have tried to call over and over the first time I sat on hold for 33mins and then my call was disconnected. Now every time I am on hold, it tells me I have a wait time of 30mins, then jumps to 50mins, back to 45mins, as I sit on hold as I type this I'm once again told my wait time is 60 mins again. I have sent emails about canceling my purchase if they do not have this item. I get what is going on in our world with the COVID19 as I do work in healthcare. But I don't think asking for a simple explanation is too much to ask for.

    I ordered a pair of shoes online from Famous Footwear because they were not available in the store. They came rather quickly but they had sent me a box containing 2 different sizes of shoes. I brushed this off, was fine with going into a store and returning them, (returning the shoes in-store was the only positive customer experience I had) and re-ordered the shoes again - which never came. FedEx lost the second pair of shoes. It said delivered, but I was home most of that day, checked all around my house, and checked with neighbors. They are nowhere. I called FedEx which investigated and said to give them 24-48 hours. I called FedEx again and confirmed that enough time has gone by that the shipper should file a claim and confirmed that their trace team could not track down the package.

    I called Famous Footwear after that and asked for a refund and told them I had gotten confirmation from FedEx the package was missing. They refused because they have to wait a full week to do that despite the confirmation from FedEx. Any other online retailer would have issued a refund with it being 4 days past when it said it was delivered and the confirmation from FedEx themselves. This will be the last online purchase I make from Famous Footwear. The experience and care for the customer has been horrid - especially since there are so many other retailers who sell the exact shoe. I ordered the same shoes for the 3rd time now, but from Kohl's this time for only $1 more because Kohl's won't make me wait a week to fix their problem.

    I have had good experiences in the Famous Footwear store, but don't get there often and find it easier to order online. So if there is a shoe available in the store I will probably consider it, but I will never trust ordering online from them again. I am regretting not looking around for other retailers first. I'm sure if I had ordered these from anywhere else I would either be wearing them right now or would have had the refund I need.

    I’m having a hard time determining between sale price and clearance. Visited a local Famous Footwear for their buy one clearance item get second 50% off. Regular priced shoes 64.99 are on the clearance rack for 4 dollars cheaper. How is this clearance?? And if that’s clearance price what’s the sale price.... Horrible business tactic. Famous Footwear shame on you. You're better off going to Foot Locker or Kohl's.

    I ordered a pair of shoes from their online store and when I received them they had obvious signs of being previously worn. There were scuff marks on the bottoms of the shoes and dirty from being worn and walked around in. Not only that but, they had a strong odor of cigarette smoke. So now I'm left with driving to the closest store which is 45 minutes away to return them or pay to have them shipped back.

    So here is my best guess as to why I received previously worn stinky shoes. Before I ordered these shoes someone else, who we will call Sally, bought these shoes. Sally took the shoes home, where she or someone in the house is a chain smoker, and she wore them a few times before deciding she no longer wanted to keep them. Sally returned the shoes to the store and they accepted her return, which I don't know how or why but they did. Now fast forward to me buying these from the online store and BAM! I'm the lucky winner of getting Sally's broken in, previously worn, cigarette smelling, stinky shoes. Lesson learned, don't buy shoes online from Famous Footwear.

    Receive sales solicitations through email daily. Contacted customer service and they stated policy via email is that it takes 15 working days to be unsubscribed. My request is way beyond 15 working days and 15 boring days amounts to 21 calendar days, TO BE UNSUBSCRIBED! Ridiculous. Been on hold with customer service for 10:47 and the wait time announced is 22 minutes and no matter how long I am on hold the wait time does not get reduced, still 22 minutes and now have been on hold for 14:45. No wonder, probably inundated with dissatisfied customers. Never again, STAY AWAY.

    I bought 2 pairs of shoes and when one was worn out I put the other pair on only to find one shoe was smaller than the other, hurting my toe, wearing a hole in the same. Of course I tried them on before I bought them but what can you tell in a quick try on. I went back only to get a basically, "Too bad, call the manufacturer." So I asked for the number and they said, "Google it." Columbia made them so I called them, they are of the same attitude as Famous Footwear, they don't care. Plus you have to wait on the phone for who knows how long, so don't be in a hurry. Then I called famous footwear corporate office. You might as well pee in front of a fan. Now after weeks of trying to get off their email list with promises from them that I will be removed off the list they are emailing me tons more of emails. Terrible company.... I have never seen a company with sooo many 1 star reviews. But I can see why.

    I purchased a pair of boots that I paid almost $90 for at my local store in the mall less than 2 weeks go. I only wore them a couple of times and the inside of one of the boots started coming apart. The lady told me it looked turn like someone cut the insignia on purpose and she would not be refunding my money or giving me a new pair. I told her I did not cut them. They were falling apart and I didn't even have them that long and she said, "Well you wore them." Of course I wore them but they shouldn't fall apart only 2 weeks after getting them. She was very rude and I Asked for the manager and she said she was the assistant manager as she sipped on her Coke and looked at her Coworker that was standing there like I was an idiot.

    I was with my 80 year old mother who has Alzheimer's and there were other customer standing around. She totally embarrassed me. I called Her a ** and her eyes lit up and she was totally confused as to why I'd call her that like no one has called her that before...Doubt it lol. Anyway she proceeded to call security on me. The security guard came up and asked me what the problem was and I told him and he said, "OK have a nice day." He knew she was a ** too lol. I will never shop there again!

    I purchased two pairs of boots online from Famous Footwear, and then afterwards thought to check the reviews - and they were terrible. I was afraid I was never going to get my boots, or they would show up in the wrong sizes or worse, damaged. However when I sent an email to the company asking for clarification on my order details, they got back to me quickly, so no issues whatsoever with customer service, and the boots were delivered in two shipments, each pair being fulfilled by a different store, but still received each within a week of placing my order. I don't usually leave reviews but my experience was so much better than the reviews that I read that I thought I should write one so people aren't scared off of ordering from this company. I got a great deal on the boots I ordered and the delivery was very speedy, and the customer service response was also very fast and professional. I will definitely order from this company again.

    I ordered boots online. Paid using PayPal, where I saw my options to select my choice of shipping (the only place that I saw my shipping options). I switched the option from standard to expedited. When I received the email statement (shortly after) placing the order, I noticed that I was only charged for standard shipping. Immediately, I called customer service, to make a change before my item was shipped. I sat on hold for exactly 18 minutes, just to have some flat, monotone voice woman tell me nothing can be done once the order has been place. Other companies would have gladly made the change for me, or would have at least been friendly about not being able to help me. I will not be using Famous Footwear ever again. It was also inconvenient that I could not do store pick up at my location. I will be buying my son boots elsewhere, and returning the ones I will get eventually, to the store.

    I went to the store to get white vans for a present, but they sold out and told me I can get it shipped to my house in 5-7 business days and I needed the shoes in exactly a week, so I depended on it.     We purchased two pairs of shoes online for our kids' first day of school. One white pair and one black pair. When items arrived they sent me two black pair. Took to local store which is out of our way to exchange. Local store had hardly any inventory whatsoever. They said they would order them for me and I would have them soon. We got the white pair but never go the black pair. After waiting over two weeks to arrive we finally had to drive to the store which isn’t close by only for them to tell us the shoes were never going to come and they were mailing me a check.     Wish I could give 0 stars. Went in the store, did not have my size. Store ordered them to be shipped to me. Paid with debit card. Wait all week. No shipping information. Finally call customer service, after holding over 10 minutes I find out they do not have the shoes and THEY canceled the order, now I have to wait 15 days for them to send me a CHECK, UNACCEPTABLE! I should be able to walk back into the store and get a refund to my debit card just like I paid them. WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING IN THIS STORE AGAIN.

    I bought shoes during the bogo sale. As I tried them on and if they didn't fit I returned them. After the 7th return the clerk informed me Famous Footwear will not allow any more returns and that I needed to contact another company they work with to see if they would overturn this option. On the receipt you could make returns up to 60 days with receipt. The sale was from 5/04/2019. I tried to return on 5/24/2019. No one at the store know what this limit was or why they don't document this. I contacted BBB. They reached out to them about this and they still wanted me to contact this third body company. I did with no response. No worries. I won't be shopping there again. If I spend my money there I should be able to do a return there without issues like this.

    My wife and I visited the Famous Footwear at Tanger Outlets in Atlantic City. Brought my purchase to the register. The cashier wasnt too friendly at all. She asked for my email address. I declined, then she asked for my home address. I also declined. She insisted I had to give her one or the other to make my purchase. It is a wonder this company can stay in business with such an invasive policy. Needless to say I told her to keep their shoes, walked across the street to their competition and got them there for less money to boot, no pun intended. :) Will never set foot in their store again.

    I made a purchase for $80 from FamousFootwear.com on March 8. I received an email that the item was shipped on March 9. However, the tracking information received for FedEx, and Famous Footwear's website itself, stated that the package was never picked up by FedEx and was still at the warehouse in Washington state—only a label had been printed for the package.

    I contacted their help department and was told that it was an issue of FedEx "not updating their tracking" (which I've never experienced before). Even after several days of this passed, I was told I had to wait until 10 days after my order was "shipped" before FF would "investigate" whether or not it was, in fact, actually shipped. (Seriously.)

    So I waited, and on the 10th day contacted them. I was notified that there had been "an error processing my order" and that it would be shipped 2-day shipping (after another day required for processing). The customer service women was perfectly nice, but we'll see if I actually receive the item this time. If I do, it will be 17 days since I placed the order.

    After reading all of the other reviews in which similar things happened to FF customers (including those whose orders were canceled after 10+ days), I can't help but think that FF is either VERY disorganized when it comes to processing online orders, or purposefully taking their customers' money even when they know an item may not be in stock or available. I will obviously never order from them again, and caution you not to either, unless you want a headache.

When asked why it takes so long they stated that if the shipping route is extended it can take longer. I live 10 min from Georgia in Chattanooga, TN and they are shipping from Georgia?     I will never shop with this company again. I placed an order on February 22nd and it stated 2 to 5 business days to receive. I did not receive by March 2nd, so I contacted Famous Footwear through chat. I was told by the representative that an error was made on my order and it was Famous Footwear’s fault. She said she was reissuing the order and she was mailing it 2 day so I could receive it for a trip I was going on. I receive an email today stating I will receive it on March 8th! (which is too late for my trip).

    I again chat with a representative and am told that the representative told me she could not send it 2 day as it was coming from 2 different stores. I do not recall this at all. She told me 2 day. I then call and am told that there is no way it can be sent any sooner. How is this possible? If I go right now to the post office to mail something...I can OVERNIGHT it. Apparently this company will not do that, even when they make the error. This is terrible customer service!

    I ordered shoes online with the notion of keeping them. I received and tried them on however they didn't fit my foot. So I went into a local store to return them and walked out with a refund for the shoes but not shipping. I called their Cust Svc asking for my shipping refund but was told flatly they don't refund shipping unless the item was the wrong item. But which at that point send another item. I asked to have my account deleted from their site and it was escalated but haven't heard back, nor do I feel I ever will. Basically know your shipping charges will never be refunded. And my patronage will never step foot into that store again, unless I am in need to use their restroom facilities and will be leaving something that I already think of them.

    Went to Famous Footwear to look for shoes for my two sons. When we walked in two workers were standing by the register gossiping about other coworker, they didn't address us much less offer to help us. I was looking for sizes and helping my sons, one of them had to use the restroom. I looked around and saw a door with the restroom sign on it and told him to go. About a minute or so I heard the female worker being rude with someone and telling them to get out, I looked over and saw that she was standing outside the restroom. I immediately went over and asked if we couldn't use the restroom, she said in a rude manner, "It's for employees only."

    I explained that there was nothing indicating that, she said that only employees could go back there because they had merchandise back there and that we shouldn't be back there as if we opened a door to get back there. They had left the door open while gossiping instead of doing their job. But ok my son got out and apologized for going in the restroom, and didn't even acknowledge him and was looking at him as if he was stealing something. I got upset and told her she didn't have to be rude about it and she started to tell me things as if we were thieves. I told her to have respect for customers and she was still being rude. I told my kids, "Let's get out of here." They were so rude and disrespectful. I will never set foot on any of their stores again and I hope that no one does either.     Today I went into this store to buy my daughter a pair of shoes for school. As I was standing in line waiting to purchase the item, I asked the “Assistant Manager” his name is Eduardo for a plastic bag, and with a condescending tone he replied, “I am not allowed to give you one until you make a purchase!” He took extremely long with the customer that was in front of me, but I waited patiently.

    When it was my turn, I approached the counter and I asked him, "So now can I get a plastic bag," he replied, “Not until this purchase is completed.” I stated what is the problem with getting a bag, and I asked for a Manager and he stated, “I am the Manager” and I asked for the corporate office number and him to write down his name and he replied, “You know what I am going to refuse you service," and I asked why and he said “You can look up the corporate office number and yourself, I want you out of my store”... FAMOUS FOOTWEAR should be ashamed to have someone like this working in customer service, I was racially profiled and discriminated against. I want this person TERMINATED IMMEDIATELY because he is flat out RACIST!!!

    Ordered a pair of Saucony sneakers as a gift for Christmas. Shoes arrived in a envelope with the top missing on the smashed box. No tissue or tags on sneakers. Wrote to customer service who proceeded to state I must reorder the shoes pay for them again and take 20 percent off. The shoes are $20.00 more to reorder and with discount will cost me $5.00 more plus shipping to return the beat up shoes they sent me. I asked if they could replace once I return.     Awful experience at Famous Footwear... I'm visiting Portland and stopped into one of these stores. In the middle of ringing me out at the cash register the woman serving me said in a panic "someone else will help you. We have an incident" and off she went. The other woman was there in an instant and rang me out. I turned around to see that the "incident" was 4 ** woman in their 30s laughing and looking at shoes. The woman who was serving me was sticking to them like glue watching their every move. They were doing nothing wrong! The entire incident was disgusting.

    When I left the store the 4 were right behind me. I turned around and apologized to them for what happened. One asked me: "you noticed". I told her the entire situation was inexcusable. Each thanked me and hugged me and wished me well. Their response made me feel good but I was so ashamed of how they were treated for no reason other than the **. I know I will not go into that franchise again!

    A store offered to look for the size needed for a bday gift for my niece. We were told another store had them & she could order them online I would have them in 3 days. That night I had an email. The order was placed w my credit card. I called today which is the time they told me I should have them. They said the store they ordered them from probably sold them. They are looking for another pair. I asked why would they do that when the sales girl told them to hold them so they can be shipped & I paid for them.

    She said they only hold them 24 hrs. She looked & said another store very far has a pair. I can go to my store to order them. I said I already did that 3 days ago. I called customer service explained this is a bday gift for my niece. Could she help me. The second girl I talked to told me the order was rejected because the shoes were not there. I asked what they can do to help. She said wait until Friday if they dont find them they will start a refund. Didnt not care that I was told 3 different stories. I will never shop there again.     I ordered sneakers as an anniversary gift and a week later I received the wrong order. I ordered Men's Black Puma Enzo sneakers size 8 and received Men's Nike Gray Roshes size 10. When I called customer service they told me I would need to wait for them to send me a return label then send the wrong ones back then they will send mine when they receive the wrong ones.     I purchased shoes from Famous Footwear and thought I would keep them, so threw out the box. I never wore them. I later decided that I didn't want them. This was well inside the return policy guidelines. I went with my husband to return the shoes. I had the unworn shoes, the tag that is attached to the shoes by plastic thread, and my receipt. From the moment I set the shoes on the counter and said I wanted to return them, I felt they were treating me like a lying criminal. They were turning the straps inside out to check for wear, looking at the shoe in great detail. They had already checked the soles, which were spotless.

    The two associates were talking between themselves to determine whether I could return them, and looking at me suspiciously. They finally did do the return, but at that point, I was ready to leave, with or without the refund. I have never been treated at any store (including thrift stores) in this manner while requesting a return. I will not be returning to Famous Footwear, which is now famous to me for something else...

    I ordered two pairs of shoes over a month ago. The first pair arrived in five days as described. Shipping was guaranteed within 3-5 business days. Two weeks after not receiving my second pair, I called customer service, spent twenty minutes on the phone only to be told that no information was known and that I would receive a call from the shipping company. That call was never received. Another week went by and still no shoes or follow up from Famous Footwear. I called again this morning. Customer representative was more efficient this time (placing a “Lost Shipment” order) but was rude and offered nothing in the way of compensation for Famous Footwear’s lack of delivery in a timely manner or follow up. We will see if I actually receive product (will be at least an additional week from today). Either way, this is the last time I shop from Famous Footwear.

    I ordered some shoes online and went to the store to pick them up for free shipping, I tried them on at the store and the assistant sales manager helped me. The shoe was a little too big in the heel, so she suggested I try an 8 instead of the 8 1/2. I did and it fit better. I waited at the counter 15-20 minutes to exchange the shoes, they would glance over at me and still ignored me, talking to other customers out on the floor. So I went over and took the 8 1/2 shoes out of the bag, and took the size 8's and put them in the bag, and walked out with my receipt. I decided a few days later, I wanted a dressier shoes, so I went back with the shoes and my receipt. The clerk said the size didn't match the receipt. I told her what happened. She called over an assistant manager that was the girl that had helped me.

    She remembered me, and STILL wouldn't help me by giving me a refund because "the system" wouldn't allow her to as the size didn't match what was on the receipt. I have worked many years in retail, 10 years in refunds at Price Club. I asked to speak to a manager, she told me she was the manager for that night. I said I never saw a time that a manager couldn't override the "system" with a key on the register and help the customer and give them their money back. Instead, I got a store credit, and if I took THOSE shoes back it would be an unending store credit, never getting over $50 back! I can't stand this store and their cheap crappy policies and never want to do business their again. They deserve to go bankrupt, because this place does not believe in the customer being right. Shame on their horrible lack of honesty too-she knew I was looking for the other size and still wouldn't help me.

    Order was not received. I emailed and called. When I called the rep was very rude refusing to get me to her manager. I told her I would hold. She was just poor at her job.     Just received a pair of their shoes that are clearly mislabeled. I ordered size seven 2E, but these are clearly much larger. This is not the first time this has happened to me. I once received a pair so small that they made my feet bleed when I ran in them. NB needs to get their crap together; you can never be sure anymore if the size you order and that your shoes are labeled as is going to be the actual size. Ridiculous.

    Bought 4 pairs of Nikes online for the first time. I was not sure which size to get, since Nike seems to run big at times. None of them fit. Tried to get them in a smaller size but they were all gone so I ran to my local store in Millville to return. I noticed one of them were on clearance and wondered why. The girl who was a bit rude behind the counter stated that she was able to return all 3 of them except for the one on clearance. I asked, "Why?" She said they looked worn. WORN??? I asked?!! If you count trying them on then YES they were WORN!!! Were they were WORN out at the gym?? No. She insisted they were WORN and we went back and forth for at least 10 minutes. I said maybe the reason they were on clearance was because they were already worn before they were shipped to my house!!! Dead silence. She had NOTHING to say.

    I stormed out and called online number and they apologized for the behavior of the so called assistant manager and that they would be mailing out a prepaid label to have them shipped back to them. That was on March 11th. Now here it is... March 24th and no shipping label. I have called back twice and the representatives swear it's been sent out. Hmmm isn't it funny I am receiving ALL my other mail but the one from Famous?!

    I finally ask for a supervisor. A girl named Michelle got on the phone and I'm not sure who she slept with to get the position of a "supervisor", because it definitely wasn't due to her intelligence nor her professional attitude. She is RUDE, obnoxious and lazy. She said the labels have been mailed but had no answer as to why I have not gotten them. Then two seconds later she says, "it's not our responsibility to mail them out." Ok idiot, so you're basically telling on yourself that they were never mailed!! Who didn't know that??? I am DONE with Famous Footwear. They are a bunch of crooks. Unprofessional and the quality of their shoes SUCK. Beware. You may just be wearing a pair of shoes that are worn already and they claim are NEW!!!

    A week ago, I bought four pairs of shoes from Famous Footwear, two pairs online, two pairs in store. Because a couple of the styles and colors were similar, I returned one of these four pairs of shoes. At that time I was issued with a warning telling me that if I tried to return a future item, I could be refused and that I would have to wait 180 days to do so. I called the tel. no. on the warning, and spoke to a company called the Retail Equation who emailed me my return activity report with Famous Footwear (never heard of this company or of a return activity report!).

    I noticed that last year during the summer, when I had a bit of trouble with sizes and styles, I had returned a few items. I had also returned a couple of items earlier in the year last year. The report did not show whether I had replaced these items with different shoes, or in fact what I had spent in purchases at Famous Footwear during that year or previous years. Because I was getting this warning when I had just purchased four pairs of shoes from Famous Footwear, returning only one of these, I felt shamed and offended at getting such a warning.

    If Famous Footwear keeps tabs on returns and issues warnings, then why not have a simple no return policy? Shoes can be hard to get right in terms of sizing and style. Oftentimes my local store does not have my size and I have to order online and occasionally the size is not right when the shoe arrives since different styles can also be different in their sizing. I have been a good customer over the years at Famous Footwear, but due to this policy around returns, which does not sit well with me, I will no longer be setting foot inside a Famous Footwear store again.

    I have bought a lot of shoes in the past couple of years. I used to go to Marshall and discount shoe stores outlets and such. But I have started going exclusively to Famous Footwear the past year or two because the quality seems to be better than the big box stores. I have recently purchased a pair of Lugz brigade boots on sale only online. When they arrived I didn't know what to expect but they were shipped securely. I went online today to see if they had any specials on shoes because my Chuck Taylor's are starting to fall apart from use. They lasted a little under a year and many many miles walked. I found some Levi's that were $40. I found a coupon for 15% off and had a $5 coupon from the boots I ordered gave me enough points for the coupon. After waiting for at least five days, I checked the tracking number and found out that the shoes were delivered to us within 48 hours from the order, but unfortunately we never received the shipment. Our security cameras also showed no FedEx vehicle or personnel on our door at that time. It was probably shipped to the wrong address. I immediately contacted Famous Footwear and reported the incident, they trusted me and shipped another similar pair right away. I just received the shipment.     Advice to anyone who is reading this. Please avoid visiting Famous Footwear in North Lakes (Westfield). We bought a pair of shoes for my wife from the shop for a special evening for $50. After wearing for 30 mins my wife was not able to stand because it was extremely tight around her ankle and the glue from the edges was coming off. She decided to spend the rest of the evening without wearing them and return them the very next day.

    When we took them to the shop the assistant advised that we were able to exchange them for one size bigger. After trying the new pair of shoes when brought to the counter, the Store Manager advised that is no deal because the previous shoes have been worn once. She ignored the fact the assistant had advised to get new pairs. We decided to leave the new and old with the manager as the old ones were not acceptable and surely not of good quality. I will make sure not to visit another famous footwear again and will surely spread the word around.

    I ordered 2 pairs of shoes through their BOGO 1/2 off offer online. One of the pairs of shoes, I received 2 DIFFERENT SIZE shoes. One was a size 7 and one was a size 9 (my actual size).     I ordered shoes online for my kids. Both pairs were sized weird and didn't fit. I contacted them to see if I could exchange them for another size and they said they do not do exchanges for online orders but I could return them and reorder in the size that fits. It was when I went to return them that I realized they do not do free returns for online orders! I do A LOT of online shopping and have truly never ran into this issue before. It's my mistake for not making sure they cover return shipping before I ordered, and I'll own that but I'm still not happy! I reached out to the company and they were not willing to make a one time exception or help me in any other way.

    The closest FF is over 3 hours away so now I'm either going to have to eat the cost of returning them (probably half of what I paid) or eat some cost by selling them cheaper on a resale site or something. Either way it's been a big hassle, and money wasted, and I wanted to warn others of this policy before they purchase. Why waste your time with this company when there are plenty of other stores who will give free return shipping with the same prices? This is certainly my first and LAST purchase with FF!

    Terrible customer service. I bought a pair of Rockport that began to fall apart after 2.5 months of daily wear. Famous Footwear policy is not to take return after 2 months. While I know this may be standard, I expect a pair of shoes to last longer than 2.5 months. Neither the store nor the online "Help desk" would consider a partial rebate or return.

    The assist manager on duty made me feel like a criminal. When I walked in with the bag of the shoe I was returning and immediately she said a loud voice, "I'll take your bag", walking briskly towards me. She was very abrasive because the color of my skin she assumed that I was going to steal something. Another employee and manager watched me the whole time while I looked for a different shoes. I was returning a pair of shoes to get another style. I visited the Famous Footwear at 833 NE Mall Blvd in Hurst, TX. On 6/7/17. I will shop at another store that will not instantly passing judgment on me so. I won't be buying any shoe from you guys again. There are other stores that I can shop at that will treat me as a valued customer.     Bought a pair of shoes at the store, everything went through and my credit card was charged. I tried to find them using tracking number I was given. Couldn't find anything. Called customer support. Was told it takes 3 days for them to show up, but was told my order was cancelled and I would get a refund. It has been over 2 weeks and NO refund yet. Went to another Famous Footwear store and ordered another pair of shoes paid for them, and same thing my order was cancelled and I'm still waiting for a refund. When I called customer service I was told it takes 3 weeks for a refund cause they send out a check instead of just crediting the credit card you used to pay for the shoes. So now I'm waiting for 2 refunds. I will not be buying anything from Famous Footwear anymore.

    3/24/17 I bought a pair of shoes from Famous Footwear and one of the shoes was poorly made. The back of one shoe was partly missing and was unwearable. So if you buy any products from them, be prepared to have to ship it back. They did email me a prepaid shipping label and I will be refunded, but I'll never buy anything from them ever again. I'm just not willing to waste my time when I can buy from other places that sell good quality products!

I emailed famous footwear regarding defect of product and no response.     TWICE we have ordered shoes from Famous Footwear - and paid for them - only to be told later that the shoes were no longer available and that a refund check would be sent soon. These were TWO separate incidences involve girls shoes once and men's shoes the second time. The whole process lasted nearly a month both times - that was a month they had my money and I had no shoes. If they are doing this to many customers at once then imagine the interest they are earning on all that money while it is in their account!     Dismal Customer Service! Order two pairs of shoes for my kids on Sept. 9, 2016. Received one pair right way, very happy, but never received the second pair. Tracking showed it was ready to ship, waited three weeks and then called Famous Footwear; they found the error and promised to send the shoes with a new confirmation code. Second shipment comes, WRONG shoes, not even close. Call Famous Footwear again, this time they tell me I will need to send the wrong shoes back, and once I can prove that they are shipped back, they will finally send me the shoes that I ordered and paid for a month ago.

    Called back after a few days and asked to speak to a manager and expressed what poor service the company offered, and was informed that they had done me a favor. Usually, the shoes have to be proven to be returned, in stock, before the correct order is sent out. Mistakes happen, and am very patient, but not happy that I have to prove I returned their mistake before I finally get the merchandise that I paid for.

    I ordered a package two weeks ago, and never received it. I called FedEx (which is how the package was shipped), and was told that the driver did not drop the package off because no one was at home. The tracking system on the computer stated that the package was delivered. This was after I called to authorize that my package be dropped off while I wasn't home. I was told that it would be dropped off the next day, but the package never arrived. Also, a tracking slip was not left on the door, (which would at least prove that the driver stopped by).

    I called FedEx again, and was told again that the package would be dropped off. I still did not receive any package. I called a third time, and was placed on hold for nearly 45 minutes, (with brief increments of the customer rep claiming they were getting hold of the station). I was then told that the driver dropped the package off, (which was not true). After the last phone call with FedEx, I then proceeded to contact Famous Footwear to request a refund, in which I was told that I would have to wait 3-5 business days for them to investigate (even though it was FedEx who lost my package).

    I bought from Famous Footwear twice in 2015. This September 2016 I attempted on two occasions to purchase and the company cancelled my order for no given reason. I usually buy online and there is funds on my card! They will not tell me why... When I called they still would not give an explanation. I did a live chat. They still will not give a reason and tells me to call. THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever experienced. These people just do not care for you as a customer. I never thought I would experience this backward type of service in this modern time. If I could give no stars I would!

    I bought four pairs of shoes for some nieces and nephews that were starting back to school. The twins were ordered the same shoe in different colors. The one pair arrived right away. Three weeks later the second pair has still not arrived. I called Famous Footwear and the guy was nice enough, but said the FedEx label was made but the shoes never shipped. The pink shoes I ordered were not available any longer. I had to choose a different pair and since it has been so long I had to update the shipping address since they are moving in a few days.

    I was not offered a discount or coupon for my trouble. If I hadn't called them, I guess they would have kept my money as I was not refunded even though the shoes are out of stock now and they have never been mailed. Nobody contacted me to see if I wanted another choice of color. We ended up with mint because it was in stock. Poor customer service. If a mistake like this was made, then some kind of coupon or discount should apply. A letter saying they are sorry for what happened and that it is being investigated would be nice. How does this even happen? So one little girl started preschool without her new shoes (the only one out of the four that didn't get her shoes) because the service online at Famous Footwear is lacking. I shop there often and I am very disappointed.

    I've ordered a few times online. First time was fine. Second time they cancelled part of my order because it was out of stock and refunded me my money. Important to note, they were able to cancel it a day after I placed it because it suited them. I placed an order today. When I checked the confirmation email I saw that the wrong size was ordered. Assumed it was my fault. Called customer service. This is 3 hours after placing the order. No can't cancel. It can't order you the right size unless you want to pay for it. Seeing as I only had enough money in my account to get the one pair of kid’s shoes that wasn't happening.

    So I accepted the fact I was either going to have to pay more money for a cab to the nearest FedEx store or get the train up to White Plains from the Bronx to return in store and no guarantee they would have the correct size, then I went into the website (just to test how had I made the mistake of ordering the wrong size), selected size 5, add to cart, size frigging 12 shoes up in the cart AGAIN, so now I realize it wasn't my fault and I am pissed.

    Call customer service again. Same garbage. She will order me the correct size but only if I pay. When I explain to her it was their fault, their website, I got a rather **, "well, ms... It's letting me select size 5 on my computer". I lost it with that. I am 8 months pregnant, have to go spending more money on travel in this heat to just return a stupid pair of sandals that I didn't order in the wrong size and for that "person" on the other end of the phone to insinuate that I was lying about the website glitch. That finished me. Like I said they can cancel an order when it suits them but not when they've ** up someone's order and have the money taken out. I'll be in my bank or onto PayPal trying to stop the transaction.

    My husband and I have started shopping solely with Amazon Prime. It is very pleasant and quick shipping. I found a really nice pair of Nike Flex 4 sneakers that I wanted for my toddler. I couldn't find them on Amazon Prime. I found them on sale at Famous Footwear. I have never shopped with them never been in any of their stores. I order the sneakers 4/18/2016 read the shipping time of up 7 days. I was displeased with that but I liked the sale price and the sneakers. I receive an email with tracking, it's being shipped via FedEx. Ok no problem. I normally receive my shipping from FedEx without too many issues. A few days later I check the tracking and see it's been transferred to USPS. Uh oh let the problems begin. The sneakers were supposed to be shipped to me 4/23/2016. We had dance class that morning so we left a note to leave the package with apt 1 which is where my Mother is.

    I get home. No USPS notice of delivery. Nothing. I call the post office and I am told to call back Monday. I request a redelivery via USPS website. Monday comes 4/25/2016 and nothing. BUT there is a notice dated 4/23/2016 in my mail on 4/25. I received an updated email for redelivery for Tuesday. I check today 4/26/2016 only to see it is being sent back to Famous Footwear!

    I call Famous Footwear and ask for a refund. The incompetent rep asked to place me on hold. I obliged. The rep comes back on the line and states since he cannot confirm the sneakers are being returned to them I will have to wait until the 8th day. He stated Famous Footwear's policy is 7 days to receive an item. The tracking on both FedEx and USPS site clearly stated the items were being returned to the merchant. So what more information is needed to see I am no longer receiving the item! He said, "There's nothing else I can do until the 8th day which would be the 30th!!!" I called my bank and did a chargeback! Famous Footwear is terrible! Their policies make not an ounce of sense and this is the first and last time I will ever order from them!!! I don't care if they have a 100% off coupon!!! Terrible.

    I recently received an order that was placed online for a pair of sneakers. Upon receipt of this order, I noticed I had been shipped the wrong item. It was clear that I had been shipped the wrong size as the box clearly showed the size. I checked packing slip to make sure the error was not on the original order and not my error. The packing slip clearly displayed the size I should have received. Upon contacting customer service, resolution to this issue falls on the customer. The company does not accept any accountability for the error. All resolutions are really at inconvenience to the customer. The company clearly does not value customer business otherwise they would ensure that in the event of errors that the customer walks away satisfied and happy. This did not occur. In fact after speaking to a supervisor, the supervisor ended the calling hanging up on me.

    This is completely and totally unprofessional and unacceptable way to conduct business especially if customers are valued. Without customers they have no business. Needless to say I am stuck with sneakers that are the wrong size unless I go to a store to receive and exchange or package the item up and send it back with a label they will send. However, I need to make sure FedEx receives the package and it is not until they receive the package that they will ship a replacement. Unless I am willing to pay for the replacement and then receive a refund upon receipt of the wrong pair. Again all resolutions fall on my part and famous footwear is not absorbing any part of the error. Companies that value their customers send out replacements as soon as they are made aware of the error. This is what should be done. It should not be my responsibility to rectify their error.

    This company is so unorganized! Why are some orders shipped to address by USPS, UPS or Fed EX, and then you can't change shipping instructions with the carrier or even pick up at a UPS or FedEx location! This is Famous Footwear policy and the delivery carriers. I had a shipment coming to my address this time by FedEx. I called ahead of delivery so I could go and pick up package at FedEx location in town. When I called to reschedule, I was told they have restrictions on this shipment and I can't pick up at FedEx location any other change! Too much of a hassle for me. I strongly recommend buying shoes at other retailers!!

    We bought 2 of the 3 packs of socks that were sized 12-15. My son currently wears a 14. He tried one on when we got home and it did not fit. So I took both packages of socks back to get my money back since that is the biggest size they have and was told I could only get the money back for 1 of them since he tried a sock on from the 2nd package. I am now stuck with 3 pairs of socks that I paid $15 for and that my son cannot use them.

    Order shoes for my wife on December 4th, got Fedex tracking on December 5 with status saying picked up. Today is December 11th tracking still says the same thing- picked up. Called customer service, they say it will reach me on the 17th, so that means it will take two weeks for an in stock item to reach me. I live in valley stream and it's shipping from the Bronx, it's a 30 min drive and I have to wait two weeks. Worst service ever. I will never shop here again. I'll wait to see the condition of the shoes when it comes and how it's packed.

    Store manager in the Clearwater Store (Clearwater Mall) was giving me the bill for five pairs. I asked for a specific breakdown of actual, final prices after discounts and she read it too fast for anyone to understand. I asked again and she read too fast again and obviously didn't intend for me to get it. The third time she started attacking me and it ended with her calling me a "bad customer" and told me to leave in front of my wife. By far the worst customer service I have seen in my life and complaining on their channels online got no response. So I am now taking it with the BBB (Better Business Bureau).

    I've been to this store a million times and always had positive experiences. However, their online service is absolute crap! They shipped a box of shoes in one of those plastic bags that you typically ship clothing in. When I wrote to their customer service telling them that this is a gift and I cannot give the shoes in the box, the response I received was "sorry for any inconvenience." How about you refund my shipping fee? Or maybe ship a new pair? Tell me that I can go into the store and they'll handle it. I work in retail where we ship from store. Shoes are NEVER shipped in crappy bags for this exact reason. I will be bringing these to a retail store and asking them to replace the box. I will also be calling their customer service. Luckily these were sneakers and not heels because they definitely would've been damaged if they were. Poor shipping. Poor customer service.

    I purchased a pair of running shoes on 11/02/15 with the assurance that I could bring them back for a full refund if they didn't fit.     So I went online and ordered two pairs of the exact same shoe in the same size for my twin girls. First off, I was initially charged 3 times due to "technical difficulties" that their system was having. The money did end up falling back into my account but was not happy about waiting for it and they simply shrugged it off like nothing.

    I also never received a confirmation email for my order nor did I receive a notice when the order was supposed to ship. So when I called to see where the shoes were, she informed me that one pair would be arriving that same day. The second pair of identical shoes had not even been processed yet. So I was very aggravated figuring that same shoe same size would be delivered together for my twins.

    So a week after I get the first pair, I randomly checked my bank account and saw a credit from them for roughly half of what I paid. So I called to check the status and was informed via recording that my order could not be processed and I will be getting a refund. I never received an email or anything informing me that my shoes were not coming. Every single thing I've had to do while ordering these shoes has been a huge hassle. I will never order from this website again and will definitely not recommend this company to my worst enemy. ** actually. Got my shipping info emails week after receiving the first pair. Lol.

    I ordered a pair of boots online. The transaction went through normally. I checked the status the next day and it said it was being processed (credit card was charged). The next day it said the order was completed so I thought it was on its way. I was unable to track the package. Five days later when checking the order online again it still read as completed. The next day the status changed to returned. I have heard of orders being cancelled due to stock problems but I don't know where the returned came from (they have a cancelled value in their options). I am waiting for an email response which was promised in 48 hours and it's going on to the 4th day. Too much of a hassle to order from again. Out looking for another pair of boots.

    I am VERY dissatisfied with the services that Famous Footwear has provided regarding shipping. Their website tells me that my shipment has been completed, but the link that they gave me for FedEx tells me that only a label has been created. I ordered my shoes 5 days ago, and expected them today. I was very excited for them, but now they are overdue and I will never online shop with Famous Footwear again. Also, they put another order under my name for the same boots and same size. Needless to say, I did not order another pair of the same boots, and the receipt had tax on it.     My daughter got a very cute pair of Vans a week and a half ago. They are still clean and only used at school and yet they are coming apart where the rubber meets the cloth. Also the cloth on the top is double layer. The top cute layer (which is gray with polka dots) is completely fraying showing a pink (thicker) fabric underneath. They did not care at all. They said "Sorry, nothing we can do" So I guess since we have to keep them we are going to go for the ripped jeans grunge look until they are unusable. Which won't be too long from now I am sure. I am steaming mad and will not be shopping there again.

    I went into the store tonight to purchase a pair of shoes for my granddaughter. I was never greeted when I walked in the door. I was never asked if I needed assistance. I had to go to the register in order to get the size I needed. Once paying for my purchase I was never spoke to nor was I thanked. I was never told my total. When I let them know I was upset with the treatment I received, the manager Debbie and staff member Missy said "Well sorry." Never once was the apology given because they were it was because they wanted me to leave. The manager acted like it wasn't a big deal that Missy was being to become argumentative. She and Missy laughed and shook their head. I shop here quite often, but never again.

    Sent for shoes for my 2 yr old granddaughter for preschool. Received the shoes 6 days later, 2 pair. The ones needed most, for use everyday, sneakers were... wait for it, USED!! Little Frozen sneakers with dirt on the bottoms and front caps. Called the company and they offered to send me a return label and then I would have to take them to FedEx, call them and let them know when I sent them, and then, and only then, would they send me another pair. She needs them for school on Tuesday so I said "Is there an alternative?" She said "Return them to the store and buy another pair." She said she would email me a 20% off coupon, but didn't.     My daughter wore a pair of shoes inside church and wore them outside to get in car. They were clean and only worn 30 mins inside. I was told if they were clean we would a refund... that didn't happen. We got store credit. The lady lied and said "Well she wore them more" and "no refund". I will never shop there again.     I will never purchase a pair of shoes in Famous Footwear again! I always go into Famous Footwear to buy school shoes for my son, today we went to the location at the St. Augustine outlets. I came in with my mother son and 2 year old daughter. I was in the store about 5 minutes when my daughter started to complain about having to use the restroom. She started to grab her privates with how badly she needed to use it. I ran to the counter and politely asked while explaining that she was 2 years old and could not hold it. The girl at the counter said "no", and that I'd have to walk all the way to the food court to use the restroom. It's about a mile walk when you're with a toddler. I said "she can't hold it and really needs to go!!" She told me "no" again and said I'd have to walk to the restroom at the food court! Unbelievable, my daughter with panic in her eyes and me with shock! I said "so I guess it's okay if she pees herself?!"

    I cannot believe it. I left the store and walked two stores down. I went inside explained the situation and was allowed to use their restroom, where my daughter almost peed on the floor. I thanked them and left. I went straight back into the Famous Footwear and asked to speak with her manager. While talking to her almost in tears with how frustrated I was, she apologized and I asked her if she would have allowed my 2 year daughter into the restroom? She looked me straight in the face and said "no!" Ha! I seriously hope they don't have any children and are put in that type of situation. I am outraged, very disappointed and will never purchase another pair of shoes from them. They are horrible!

    I purchased a pair of shoes at FF in Indianapolis. I wore them the next day and found that something was loose in one shoe - it made a serious clacking noise everywhere I went. Clack, clack around the office. I took them back the very next morning and was told they will not return shoes that have been worn. In other words they will sell you sub-standard footwear and never accept the consequences. Walk on by. Take your business to another store.

    I purchased my boots from FF a little over a year ago and had them exchanged 3 times due to a manufacturer fault. Today I went to have them replaced for the 4th time and the consultant at Airport West store told me they weren't replacing them anymore. It wasn't until I mentioned ConsumerAffairs that she actually offered me a credit note. It's the first time I have dealt with FF and definitely the last. My Kmart shoes are almost half the price and given me no grief. I did notice there are 12 complaints with ConsumerAffairs against FF for the exact same experience as mine. I highly recommend you spend your precious money elsewhere and save yourself the headache.

The girl at the counter was very kind, she took the shoes and told us to find another pair. After shopping we approached the register to find this very hostile and angry man behind the counter.     I went to get a pair of boots and they didn't have them in my size so I was told that I could order them and have them sent to my house. On the receipt it states after 3 business days you can track your order. Instead, it's been over a week and I still haven't been able to track my order. I called the store, they couldn't help me and they didn't know anything. Called customer service and you know they still couldn't tell me if my order was in route. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT FAMOUS FOOTWEAR AGAIN. I WOULD RATHER BE BAREFOOT.

    I recently purchased my daughter a pair of Zodiac American Original boots. The first time I went to put them on her, I realized the zipper on one of the boots was detached. I wrote FF an email and was told there was no replacement boot available to send and no refund offered. I was told I could go get the zipper fixed and be refunded up to $20 (don't forget the receipt!!!). What. A. Disgrace. Keep your money, Famous Footwear. I will gladly take my business elsewhere where customers are treated fairly.

    I bought snow boots that leaked with 1/2" snow on the ground the first time I bought it. The store will not refund the money for defective boots. They will give an exchange, but I do not need any other shoes. I just want my money back.     We just left FAMOUS FOOTWEAR after trying to return a pair of DEFECTIVE shoes that were purchased less than 3 weeks ago and my husband had worn twice... After realizing that the seams had popped in two places on the top of the right shoe (Brand name "Streetcars")... Michael decided he would just return these, and instead, purchase a similar pair at another retailer that he had seen previously.

    WRONG! FAMOUS FOOTWEAR does not give refunds or even exchange a pair of shoes if they've already been worn! Really???? Not even if it's obvious that the shoe they sold you was defective? ? NOPE!... And their employees couldn't care less! TOO BAD! FAMOUS FOOTWEAR has obviously put their employees through a rigorous and effective training class on how to handle customers that want their money back! STEP ONE.... Tell them NO, and point out the NO RETURN OR EXCHANGES policy on the receipt.... If that doesn't work...proceed to step 2... STEP TWO...Point the customer to the nearest EXIT!.... If that still doesn't work... proceed to step 3... STEP THREE.... Pick up the phone to dial the police!

    We've spent a lot of money with this company in the past.... but will NEVER... SHOP AT A FAMOUS FOOTWEAR AGAIN... They hide behind a customer service number that is even less helpful and cooperative than their store employees... What a sad and unscrupulous company.

    I was shopping with my daughter who is in a wheelchair. No employee offered to help/hold door. Another customer was caring enough to do so. We both shook our heads. Upon finding what I was looking for again, no assistance. I was looking for plain white sneakers. I saw prior to going there that the Seekonk, MA store had them available that is why I was there. My neighbor suggested famous footwear as I had not thought of them and yes I found them. If my daughter didn't need them, I would have left them, but I wasn't going to have my daughter go without because of other's rudeness. I went to cash out, asked if I could use a 15% off coupon. Cashier said yes but then said no because I did not have a rewards card. I could join to get future coupons. Are you kidding me? Horrible customer service.

    I was shopping with my 2 year old twins and 18 month old niece. I had a cart that will fit 4 children from the Shop Rite next door. I tried to enter the Store and was told I could not. After going to another store and not finding anything suitable for work I came back and they "Let" me shop in the store on the provision that I leave my cart with 3 babies in it near the entrance. With reservation, but since my work sneakers were completely worn and the kids were being cooperative I agreed. Within minutes the kids started getting upset because I wasn't right with them and I ended up picking a pair I thought would work and figured I'd try them on at home.

    BIG MISTAKE!!! After only an hour of wearing them around the house I realized the arch was way too high for me and that were causing serious pain. I boxed them up and took them back to the store to return them. I was going to get a new pair, but upon entering the store I was informed that the shoes were "Unreturnable" because they had been worn. Um yeah, I tried them on. Didn't take them outside. There isn't a mark on them. At this point they are being belligerent and I just want to get my money and leave. They refuse. I leave and when I get home contact their customer service.

    Even Less Helpful! However after going around and around on email, they told me to yet again bring them back to the store. I did. I told them I wasn't going to leave until I got the refund I was promised in email. I got to leave quickly because they threatened to call the police and did. So now I'm out 45 bucks, stuck with a brand new pair of shoes I can't wear, out 3 trips worth of gas in my car, the aggravation involved and HUMILIATED by the Store!

I was told that they needed to swipe my driver's license into their computer in order to process the return. I explained that I was a victim of identity theft and was advised by the police not to ever give out my personal information. The manager told me that they would not exchange or return without my license but I could send them back to the company at my expense. That would not require my personal information.

    I called customer service when I got home to see if they would cover the cost of shipping and I was told to write a request and include it with the return. No guarantees. I asked about the policy of swiping driver's licenses and the c/s Tina said that she checked with a couple of managers and they all said that they could not go against store policy (She left me on hold for more than 10 minutes while she checked). I asked if they were franchised and she said that they are all owned by Brown's shoes.

    I did not understand why the return policy was different in the store and she was unable to explain it to me. She was not very helpful; in fact, she had a rude attitude. Asking for personal information is an unfair and unsafe practice that needs to be stopped. I had the original form of payment and the receipt. Other stores accept that without any problem. I am stuck with a pair of sneakers that do not fit my husband and am out approximately $60.

    I went to this store today to make an exchange. I understand that my ID was required for the exchange. I do not understand why my ID was not required to make the purchase. I am very uncomfortable as my state ID was scanned by the employee. I told him that I was not informed that my ID would be scanned and I have a right to privacy which I feel they are violating. As we are all very aware, we must protect our identity.

    I feel that if stores have a right to get all our personal information, this jeopardizes the consumer’s identity. Why should a store have access to the information I have provided to the state. This is an unfair and unjust act jeopardizing the privacy of many consumers. Under the Federal Confidentiality Rules (42CTR Part 2), if persons with substance abuse issues are protected by law then we, as consumers, must have a right to whom we give our information.

    I bought a pair of gyms for my son in March of this year. In June I returned to the store because the shoes (after 2 months of him wearing them) have a metal piece in the back of the heel which is cutting through the fabric. Obviously he can't wear them. The shoe is defective and I spoke with the store manager asking for her help (not necessarily a refund) but she (upon meeting me) started to accuse my son of causing damage to the shoe.

    To sum it up, she was very unprofessional and did not try in any way to help. I even asked if there was a product in the store that I could put in the shoe so it wouldn't cut his foot and she said maybe the shoe repair store can help you. I was treated unfairly as a consumer. I purchase 90% of my family’s shoes from that store and now just because of her attitude I don't want to go in there anymore.

    So, now I have a pair of shoes which are only 4 months old that cannot be put to use. How wrong she was to make assumptions and not try to help me. Regardless of how long he has had the shoes it shouldn't be coming apart like that. Thanks for your time in reading this. I have contacted the corporate office and have heard nothing from the district sales manager for 2 weeks now.

    I was shopping with my elderly mother for shoes when - near the checkout counter - I saw a rack of socks. The sign above the socks read: 1/2 price. I bought 4 pair of socks marked at $5.99 per pair - in my mind that would have been $6 per pair times 4 pair or $24 - and if 1/2 off - I expected to pay $12 + tax. Instead, it came to $19+. It was the store manager who was checking us out - and I asked her why it wasn't $12. She said it is "Buy one pair at regular price - get the second pair for half price". I looked at the sign - and it only read 1/2 Price - no other words above or below - or beside it. Just 1/2 Price.

    We were pressed for time but I did tell her very courteously that the sign said only "1/2 price" - nothing else about buying a first pair at regular price. She laughed and said, "I know, this happens all day long...and on the shoes, too.” She even stepped over to a rack of shoes and pointed to the sign saying, "I know - we tell them (corporate) but they give us these signs to use...and the writing is so small - most people don't see it. This happens all the time." She was almost bragging about it - and laughing.

    Being pressed for time - we had to leave for doctor appointments up the street. Had I had the time - I would have most certainly asked for my money back - and may still do so - but going back would eat up the money in gasoline as it is about 25 miles from home. The signs in that store are terribly misleading - and while the sign over socks said ONLY the words "1/2 Price" - other signs said 1/2 price but had tiny, tiny writing saying "Buy one pair at equal or lesser value - get the second pair at 1/2 price".

    My two complaints are these: (1) If it says 1/2 price and nothing else - it should be half price; and (2) If it says "1/2 Price" with the words written beneath 1/2 saying "Buy one pair - get the second pair of equal or lesser value for half price" - that little disclaimer needs to be in print large enough for the general public to read. They are really very misleading and I hope you can do something to make them advertise more ethically.

    As I drove home - the more I thought about the manager showing me the signs and laughing about how small the words are beneath the 1/2 (on shoes - not the socks I bought) - it just began to make me angry - thinking how many hard working people misunderstand also - and elderly people, too - like Mom. I feel the most responsible thing I can do is report this and ask your help.

    Consequence: Just that I paid about $7.00 too much - but I am more concerned about the ethics of this than the money. And while I am not a whiner - I do understand that in our society - if you find a problem and don't step up to help fix it - it will only get worse. I think Famous Footwear should be ashamed - I will write and tell them so.
