Would rather buy shoes from the Canadian black-market after this horrible experience. I placed an order for SAME DAY delivery on a pair of shoes over 3 weeks ago. Doordash was supposed to fulfill my order, but I guess the store closed early the day of pick up, and no one ever set another delivery up. I tried reaching out to their call center the same day, and was treated like a second class citizen. Not to mention the representative had no idea what I was talking about, and stated "on his side" the order was fulfilled, even though I could see from tracking via doordash that my order was cancelled. They told me to call the store, I call the store, they tell me to call the call center. Absolutely awful experience.
After several strongly worded emails over the course of over THREE weeks, I have finally received a refund, but, and you'll love this one, they still charged me for "return shipping" despite the store having the particular shoes in stock, and me paying extra money for same day delivery. If I was not so persistent I highly doubt I would have received any refund at all. Their customer service team is useless. Their call center has people who do not know how to do their job and lack friendliness. Not to mention, no compensation, discounts, incentives or anything else was offered to me despite the extensive amount of time, clear frustration and money I wasted on goods I never received. Do better. You lost a customer FOREVER! AVOID AVOID AVOID. THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND LIE ABOUT IT!

This store is terrible. Famous Footwear let me place an order, take my money, and then cancelled the order. No reason provided for the cancellation. Product was available and then once my money was taken, now it is not available and I have no shoes and my money is now not available to me. You need to tell the customer that it is out of stock, not take my order and money and then cancel without providing any reason. Worst experience ever. Store sucks

** who works at Concord Mall Store in Wilmington, DE went above and beyond today, June 20, 2025 for me. He was very professional and his customer service skills were 5Stars plus. I got great discounts on all 3 of my purchases. We were extremely pleased. We purchased 2 pairs of sneakers and a pair of sandals. We need more people like Mike. Thank You Mike, so much!!!!

I have shopped in store and online and never any problems. This time around. My two pairs of b1g1 was shipping from two different stores. The manager from Pennsylvania store was very pleasant. However the one from the Hilliard store named Linda was very rude and not helpful. She did not want to listen. I felt rushed. And she claimed that my order number meant nothing that she had no way to check the status because it was ship to home. But I kept explaining that it said it was still waiting for carrier pick up. I asked if that meant it hadn’t left the store? She instituted on no helping me. Telling me I had to call customer service. I explained that they were the ones who told me to call her. I am very frustrated and unhappy with Famous Footwear.

PSA - Never order out-of-stock shoes from Famous Footwear for delivery. It has been the biggest headache. My shoes never arrived after a week like they said in-store that they would. I call two weeks ago and they said the order was cancelled... They never called or emailed me to let me know that. They said they would credit my credit card by the 29th of May, they never did. I called today, and no record of my call with the CS I spoke with two weeks ago, so now another hour on the phone to repeat the whole process. What a cluster! Easier to just reject payment through my credit card company. How many other people have they lied to and done this to and how much money are they holding onto from people they haven't credited for orders that were cancelled without telling the customer?

Buyer beware, will break it down simply, ordered 2 pairs "BOGO" special buy one get one half price/received a pair after a week/the second pair was not received/was never notified there is any issues/emailed them with all the info 3 times/never heard back/while they are bombarding me to buy more shoes/called them/waited 20min until someone answered and not to my surprise the rep says the second shoe was out of stock and we sent you an email/never got notified / never got an email/after the brief chat with the rep/I ask maybe you can send me another pair just different color (which applies to the special)/she replies boldly and says/unfortunately we can not do that/I am going to file a report to consumer protection services and I encourage each one of you that had a bad experience to do the same/this company should not be doing business.

I went to the one in Lawrence Ks. They was very rude. It was during the week and they was not crowded. I asked a question about a Sandal and she said "I don't know, go look and figure it out yourself." I tried to look and could not figure it out myself so I left. Poor Customer Service!!

Every time I buy something from this store, the billing department screws up and then end up charging you late fees after you’re paid in full. Horrible, Horrible place to shop!!! I would not recommend getting anything from here. Horrible customer service. Horrible billing department. And their boots fall apart after 6 weeks.

This has been the worst online order I have Ever made!! This company probably is buying shoes from Amazon! I’ve waited weeks and still no shoes. They send false emails saying Shipped. In between that you get tons of emails about Buying more shoes… Smh.. PLEASE DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! Customer service will Lie and tell you the order is coming a specific day and 3 days later I'm still waiting… BEWARE!!!!

A elderly woman Got a pair of shoes for Christmas as a charity gift, needed to exchange for wide width, same size. Took to cashier and told her what I needed, she refunded the shoes to the credit card who purchased them. So since she refunded them she’s without shoes and the purchasing party was refunded. They refused to do anything about their mistake, said nothing they will do. I would not recommend purchasing from them, same shoes, price at a competitor and much better customer service.

I have a credit with Famous Footwear and haven't been able to make a payment because they have a scam where they automatically take you off of autopay so they can rack up so cash for their sorry trash company. It's happened two to three time to the point that a one time bill has been unpaid and might be higher than the original payment a year ago might be longer!??? None of my other credit card have this problem!!!? They are manipulative thieves and once I do get this situated WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN!!! MESSED MY CREDIT UP TWICE!!! SMH HORRIBLE NIGHTMARE!

Honestly the worst experience I have EVER had with a store and their customer service. PLEASE save yourself the stress and mental relief of just shopping somewhere else. The representatives were rude, unhelpful, and straight up lied on my call(s). I had ONE helpful person out of the 4 I talked to. I was sent worn and stained shoes and they did not care at all. I had to CALL THEM BACK for my refund. I hate to think how many people they steal from who don’t check their accounts regularly. Disgusting. Shame on you.

Buyer beware!!! I ordered a BOGO deal, Nike' & boots. The Nike's feel like they fake IMO then I got 2 right boots. After returning them, they say they cannot replace the boots & issued a refund. So now if I want those boots I have to go online & pay double what I was refunded. This was a Christmas present but they refuse to help resolve the matter. My suggestion go to Any other site, don't be tricked by their "deals".

I made a purchase on November 20th, from Famous footwear and got notification that the package was delivered. Which is impossible since my block is under construction from 7am to 4pm the street is closed. I’m home and can’t leave my home and there is no way that FedEx dropped off the package. But I get a picture proof that it was dropped off to who's home because that isn’t my house. I call FedEx 10 minutes after I get notification and finally speak to a person who basically said that the package was delivered and I have to call Famous Footwear. Called Famous Footwear and was told that I have to wait 3 days and then put a claim on a package that they don’t want to break their agreement with FedEx. Because FedEx is more important than their customers.
The worse customer service experience I had. I ask to speak to a manager and get a supervisor who said that the supervisor is the highest person I can speak to and still the only thing they can say is that I have to wait 3 days and call again to put a claim on item that was delivered to the wrong home that I have proof of by FedEx.

While in the store, I ordered a pair of boots for my daughter. They said the boots were delivered to my address, and they were not. I told them the specifics of my door and they did not match the picture that was taken by FedEx. They told me I had to wait 8 damn days before they could do anything. When all they had to do was call fedex, explain the problem and fedex would have sent the driver to retrieve them from the place they delivered. I know this because I called fedex and the rep explained the process to me. But, because Famous Footwear shipped them, fedex couldn't do anything without a special number from famous and they wouldn't provide it to me. Now famous lost a pair of boots and I have to wait over a week to get my refund. This is my first and last time ordering from them.

My order says it was delivered. I looked for my order and I couldn't find it. I called, took several times before I was able to reach someone. I was told they would reach out to the delivery service and I could call back in 8 days and if it still hasn't come I would get reimbursed. I have never experienced such horrible customer service!

I decided to give this website a try despite all the bad reviews and people, trust other people's reviews!!!! They warned others about how this place scams people. I place an order when there was the BOGO sale, buy a pair and get the second pair 1/2 price, yah right!!! Sounds too good to be true and in fact it was. After placing my order I received a confirmation, however I did not receive the shipping track number or anything.
After a few days one pair showed up (of course the pair I paid full price), my other pair didn't show after two weeks so I decided to phone the company, they told me, "Sorry but we need to do a return since that other pair was not available." Whatever I told to reimburse my money for it, I still have not got my refund. At the end you end up buying a regular price for one pair and the other one (1/2 price) is normally never available from what I read from other reviews. That's how they scam people making them believe that they got a deal for 2 pair of shoes. Lesson learned, never buying shoes there again!!! ;)

I ordered shoes for my grandson’s birthday on 8/30/24. They had an arrival date of 9/7/24. It is now 9/10/24, and they’re expected to now arrive on 9/13/24. Each day I check the tracking, it backs up later and later. They’re located in NC and I LIVE in NC! Ridiculous!

Bogo sale is scam. Bought my second pair with a price Tag stating they were reduced then at checkout the price rang up at full price with the half off that instead of marked price. Bought 6 pairs of shoes and did it to 2 of the 3 half off pairs. Wasn't able to catch it because of multiple items. There are no terms of the sale on the marketing posters. It only says ask an associate for details which they were both busy checking out customers so were unable to offer a thorough explanation after I waited to ask the associate for details. Very deceptive practices.

I placed an order online. My order was canceled a few hours later. It wasn't giving a reason why. My money was held for 7 days before the hold was uplifted. Every time I called I was told I needed to talk to my bank. When I called my bank they said Famous Footwear had a hold. This was the worst experience of my life!!!

Called customer service after the package was lost and they informed me they have a contract with FedEx that I have to wait 8 business days until they will consider the item lost and try and resend the item. Also, there was no picture with delivery as they suggested that was visible on my end.

We went into the store because of all the advertising and signs about their BOGO half off sale. Inside the store, there are letter sized signs about BOGO half off everywhere. The signs were strategically placed mostly above their best quality shoes. But If you read the small print at the bottom of the sign, it tells you there may be restrictions. Then when you try to pick a second pair of quality, they never seem to qualify. I consider this false advertising.
Marina at the Bullhead City, AZ store finally told us that only the "blue tag" shoes qualified for the BOGO half off sale. But Marina was rude about it sounding as if we should have already known that any promotion by Famous Footwear was only false advertising. Over and over she blamed management for the misleading signs and even the placement of the signs. She couldn't even move the signs around. The signs were always placed above their best shoes to imply that you could save half on a second pair of that shoe (but you couldn't). We will never set foot in another one of these stores. They are designed liars out to take advantage of misleading sales promotions.

My wife and I went to the store for shoes/boots for our son. The associate in the store was not familiar with ordering shoes in store for free home delivery that were not in stock. We placed the order and paid in-store with debit card. We were told by the associate that placed the order that it would be delivered Friday the 21st of June. I went online to Famous Footwear to check on the order tracking only to see that it showed the order as being cancelled. I called the customer service phone number to find out why it showed cancelled and if in fact cancelled why the funds have not been returned to my checking account.
After waiting more than 20 minutes on the phone I finally had a representative answer the phone. The representative was very rude and argumentative. She stated that the system is set up to automatically send an email to the email on file yesterday when the order was cancelled. I informed them that the last email I recieved from their store was on the 19th of June, and was a sales advertisement.
The representative insisted that due to paying in store with a debit card that the refund would be mailed to me in the form of a check and not credited directly back to the card. After 10 minutes or so she resent the email that was supposedly automatically sent by the "system". When I reviewed the email sent to me it stated plainly that the refund would be going back directly to my debit card. With this conflicting information, I again asked and was told that a check was being mailed to me. The representative became more rude in her tone and words because I asked for clarification when the "system" sent that it was going back on the card and the representative continued insisting that it was being refunded via check in the mail. I asked to speak to a supervisor which made her tone and manner of speaking to a customer even worse than previously.
After being on hold another 15 minutes a "Supervisor" came on the line (this supervisor sounded to my wife and I like the same person we were talking to the whole time). This person stated that the other representative apologized to me for the cancellation of the boots that were ordered (if this happened, we cannot recall but it could have been done when she would interrupt and try to talk over us). She stated that the refund was going back to the debit card and not a check being mailed as the first representative kept insisting. She insisted that the first representative did not provide me with inaccurate information regarding the refund and followed protocols. I still am not sure how the refund is being processed. Famous Footwear has lost my business permanently. What happened to customer service in this country (if it was in this country and not a foreign call center)? They have completely lost my trust and I will take my money elsewhere in the future.

Was sent the wrong size and after returning for the correct size I was charged $8 for a return label. So I ended up paying more than list for their mistake!!! Beware of this egregious and unwarranted charge. Do not recommend this business.

My wife ordered shoes online and received the totally wrong shoes. When she went to the store to return them, which she shouldn't have to, they refused to refund the cost of shipping for the original order. What a ridiculous policy where we have to pay for their mistakes. Buyers beware, bad shoes.

I am disappointed in the way my items were shipped to me. One pair was in a box that was smashed and small, was not even the box the shoes went in. Box was taped to make sure shoes did not fall out.. The second pair was in another smashed box with no lid. Was just thrown in and covered in the red bag that Famous footwear uses. These shoes were a gift for two different people. How can you give someone a gift like this. I have tried to call in. Recording starts off, says a 10 minute hold time but gradually gets higher. Which makes no sense. I waited over a hour before hanging up.
The website says: "WANNA TALK? We're here to listen. No matter what you need, we're here to help. CALL US 1-800-969-7500." But how do we get to talk to someone. I needed these gifts like tomorrow and now I have to purchase something else. Also I order online because I lives miles from a location and I have no way to get o the store. So I give it another try and I call in and put the phone down and wait for a answer. After 42 mins a lady answers and basically tells me she will report the incident but really can't do anything, I do not feel confident in reordering from Famous Footwear.

Placed an order from Famous Footwear 3 days ago. Showed delivered today but no delivery received. FF policy will not allow me to file a claim for 8 days. Fed Ex can’t help and said I need to work with the shipper. Will never order from Famous Footwear again.

If I can give a 0 I would of. I lost my house keys in the store in Fordham Plaza and due to the fact they were counting money at the register wasn't able to go into the store to find my house keys. I told them I'll wait till they finish but they told me they can't do that. I had to call the cops but before the cops got there they were just laughing. I was standing outside with my mom who was on a walker and my two kids and left thru the back of the store. They didn't even open when the officers came. I literally had to go stay at a friends house till I could of got hold of my management office. Store is very disrespectful especially all them young workers that they have running the store. Worst experience in my life. Will never buy from this store again.

Customer service DOES NOT EXIST. I placed an online order on Saturday. The order made it to a FedEx warehouse, in my state of New Jersey, the following Friday, (5 business days), great! NO! It sat there over the weekend and I saw no movement until Wednesday, which showed the order was now on its way to Arizona! WHAT!!! After 5 calls to try and get someone on the phone in customer service, they were no help at all. The first call to check I was given some extra points for my next order. The 5th call deemed useless. I had no answers as to why this package is travelling the U.S. Instead of an immediate refund, I have to wait another 2 days for an "investigation" before any money is given back. This is the worst experience I have ever had ordering with this company online. NEVER AGAIN!!!

It is very difficult to get any type of help from Famous Footwear on the telephone. You can't get in touch with the bank. You can't get in touch with Representatives. They don't want to help you when it comes to payments and receiving statements but they will continue to put late fees on your account whether you get a statement or not and they're very disrespectful and very rude.
