I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Cartier. The customer service was very poor, and I feel that the after-sales service did not meet the standards one would expect from a luxury brand. I purchased a Cartier piece of jewelry expecting to receive quality, protection, and excellent customer service. Unfortunately, when I needed assistance with my jewelry, I was informed that I would have to pay approximately 30% of the original purchase price to have it replaced. I found this extremely disappointing and unfair.
Customers should receive clear information about the warranty, coverage, and replacement terms before making such a significant purchase. From a luxury brand like Cartier, I expected much greater transparency, better customer service, and stronger after-sales support. Based on my experience, I would recommend that anyone considering purchasing from Cartier ask detailed questions about the warranty, coverage, and replacement costs before making their purchase. It’s a complete scam, & 35.000 spent to receive the worst experience.

I have had the most horrible experience with Cartier. I took in my white gold bracelet for cleaning in the vancouver boutique on may 2, 2026 and it is august 7, 2026 and still do not have it back. I have called many times and even call the North America customer service and they have no idea what has happened to it nor will they return it to me.

I bought a Tank extra large watch from them and they didn’t even registers me as a customer as I found out after 2 year of purchase. However I damaged my watch strap and wanted to replace it with bracelet which I paid $1000 and as it arrived I requested link to be readjusted. They never responded to me from Miami branch. I waited and called again. Tthis time Texas branch apologies to me and told me they will take care of it, I never heard from them again. In my opinion please keep Cartier in Europe only. USA don’t deserve this quality watch and also other European product as they are not suited for customer service. I will go to Europe and have my link repair when I leave. I don’t recommend USA Cartier to all USA Customers to buy in USA. Have a nice USA day.

I called asking for a new box and they would not send it. The customer service team is beyond incompetent. They put you on hold for 20 mins and come back to drop the call. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Now I have to present a gift to my niece for her 16th that looks used. DISGUSTING!!

Terrible recent experience with Cartier. REALLY SAD TO SEE THEM GO DOWNHILL SO BADLY. 2 situations in few few weeks show the decline of the "so called Ambassador service" at this Company. I was in Italy recently and wanted to buy something from Cartier store. They firstly made me wait outside the store (I was dressed in shorts and a tee shirt). Then another customer was allowed in straight away and they kept me outside!!!! Eventually they let me in and I was completely ignored for 15 Minutes. No one spoke to me or asked me anything at all despite me requesting help for buying a cartier item. I eventually complained to the staff who were dismissive. I sent a message to Cartier and received a "canned" reply. I returned home and sent 2 watches back to them for repair. Silence for many weeks and confusing emails after I called to ask what was going on. Spoke to someone there who eventually emailed me information then silence again ....
Emailed again. It was ignored. Emailed again. It was ignored. Called 3 more times because after sending me bills to pre pay (which were completely wrong) I spent 3 hours attempting to speak to someone to resolve the repairs and get my watches back. After more incorrect bills eventually spoke to them again and a senior person apologised and promised to confirm the free repair because they had messed up. She said she would email me and didn't. Then guess what? Another bill arrived. I'm completely fed up of this.

I recently ordered two pendants from Cartier online, and when the box arrived, it was completely empty. I immediately contacted Cartier customer relations and they opened an investigation. They told me they would get back to me within ten business days. They never got back to me, I had to reach out for the status of the investigation. The advice given to me was to dispute the transaction with my credit card company. I followed their advice and filed a dispute with American Express, only to later find out that Cartier had denied the claim, stating the items were delivered.
I had to reopen the dispute with Amex and, in parallel, pursue reimbursement through Amex’s insurance in order to get our money back. This entire situation has been incredibly frustrating, especially considering the high-priced items Cartier offers for delivery. It is unacceptable that there appears to be no follow-through or accountability when things go wrong during delivery. For a brand of Cartier’s stature, I expected far better customer service and resolution processes for such costly purchases.

I entrusted my Panthère de Cartier diamond bracelet for repair in April in Dallas store. A woman told me it would take 6-7 weeks. I kept waiting but received no contact, so I reached out again in mid-June. They not only hadn’t repaired my bracelet but weren’t even sure where it was, and it took them a long time to find it. Eventually, they got back to me (on 6/27) and said it would cost around $250 to fix it and that they would proceed if I agreed to pay. It took 7-8 weeks just to get this question, and I finally confirmed, but I still haven’t heard anything back.
During the same period, I entrusted Tiffany with a repair and a watch battery replacement. They kept me informed of every step via email, completed all the repairs already, and didn’t charge me anything because I’m a VIP. The customer care could not be more different. They sell expensive and precious jewelry, but customer care is incredibly cheap. This is about the Dallas boutique, and I have not received back my bracelet, which cost me almost over $60,000 including tax, for over three months.

I had a very strange experience at the Cartier store in Dallas Highland park village. I ordered a d'Amour bracelet and adjusted the size. I wanted a 1cm cut. However, after adjustment, my bracelet was too tight. The length of the original bracelet is 165mm to 185mm. After repair, my bracelet is 140mm to 160mm. It decreased by 2.5cm. So I inquired at the Cartier store in Dallas, but they said the size was wrong due to a mistake in the New York workshop. So I decided to get the size adjusted again.
A week later, they said the bracelet was fixed, so I went to pick it up. And when I got home and measured the size again, it was the same. My bracelet is still 140mm to 160mm. How can they give me a bracelet without any fixes? I picked up the bracelet without question because I trusted them. So I contacted Abbie and Andrew to help resolve this issue, but haven't heard anything. I have experienced many luxury brands over the years, but this is my first time experiencing a service like this. I am so angry and disappointed in Cartier.

My fiancé bought me a bracelet in the Boston store which I immediately knew was too big as soon as I put it on. I never wore it. I brought it to the Boca store to do an exchange. The salesperson said there were some small scratches but it didn’t seem like a big deal, however it was clear from the start that he didn’t want to deal with my return. He then told me to try it on next to my watch and diamond bracelets which became intertwined, inevitably scratching the Cartier bracelet. He gave me the hard sell convincing me to keep the size I had which I did. Although, as soon as I left the store I knew it was the wrong decision but I didn’t have time to go back. It’s the juste un clou and it’s so big that the head of the nail flips to the back of my wrist as soon as I move my arm. Any good salesperson would know this is not the right size for me.
I then took it to the Soho NY store (my local store) to return it and they said it is scratched and they cannot take it back. Of course none of the scratches are visible to the naked eye but if they are truly there then they were absolutely there at the time of purchase and were compounded by trying it on with my diamond bracelets at the direction of the salesperson in the Boca location. Despite Soho refusing to do an exchange, I tried on the smaller size bracelet in the boutique. The salesperson watched, and approved, as I tried it on next to my diamond bracelets.
The Cartier bracelet overlapped and became intertwined with my diamond ones which absolutely caused small scratches. This is what goes on all day long in their stores, customers try on different size pieces next to their existing jewelry inevitably causing scratches which Cartier then sells to other customers. When the customer tries to do a return, Cartier claims the customer scratched the piece and refuses to take it back. The manager at the Soho store promised to get back to me days ago with how they are going to handle this and not only did she never get in touch with me, she will not return my calls.
This has been the worst customer experience I have ever had at any retailer, jewelry or otherwise. Beware of buying Cartier. Also google other reviews. There are hundreds just like this one: complaints with the Better Business Bureau, Consumer Affairs, Trustpilot, Reddit, etc. This is a common practice for them. If you purchase from them make sure you buy the right size because they clearly do not honor their return policy. And never buy gifts from them because they seem to always claim the product is scratched when trying to do an exchange. If this happens to you my advice is to rip them apart with reviews every place you can including social media. And dispute the charge with your credit card company.

A watch that has been in my family for 30 years was in need of repair. I brought it in for servicing in July, spent a great deal of money to have it overhauled but they said it there was a two year warranty. Four months later, a link in the watchband came undone. Took it back to Cartier figuring they'd just snap it back but they told me the watch needed a full overhaul and a new watch band for $3300. When I questioned the overhaul, they did say that was a mistake as I just had that done but the watch band couldn't be repaired as they don't "support" that band any longer (evidently they've taken pathway of technology to squeeze clients out of more money). I asked what would a new watchband do to the value of the watch. They didn't know. I asked if there were more cost effective watchbands. They said no. They said they send me picture of the band so that I could make an informed choice as to whether or not to replace it.
I waited a month and never got the photos so I went to the boutique on 5th Avenue in NYC and asked for my watch back. They told directed me to a waiting where I sat for 40 minutes. I went returned to reception to ask when I'd get my watch and was told an advisor would see me next. I went back to sit down and three other people were called in before me. I asked reception why other clients were called before me and she rudely told me that they are here for different services. I was there to pick up a watch! Evidently, no one could just go to the back room and get it for me. I was rudely told that I had to wait for an advisor (just to get what was mine! They did no work on it!). I finally said, I need to leave. Send me my watch to my home so I don't have to come all the way back here. They agreed to do that.
As I walked out, I asked the greeter at the door if I could get the email address for the Manager of the store to drop him/her a line about my experience. She said I had to go back to the 4th floor to get that. I told her I just spent 40 minutes up there and I'd prefer not to go back; could she make an exception? She rudely told me no. I called the next day to find out when I could expect my watch. They told me they'd check and get back to me. I got an email saying the watchband would cost $3300. I don't want the watchband! I want the watch. I can't get the watch at the boutique and they aren't sending it to me. I feel like Cartier is holding my watch hostage until I pay them for a new watchband, which I don't want...at least not from them! My cousin is a publicist. I may ask her to start an online "Free My Watch" campaign. I will never shop at Cartier ever again.

I ordered a Love Neckless for my wife but when she opened it and tried it on, we were surprised at how small it was. We called customer service and they told us we could return it and purchase the larger one, which we did right away. After two weeks of no communication, I called them and asked about my refund. I was told that after my wife tried it on for 5 minutes and put right back in the packaging,,,, it has scratches. This is completely impossible, I am shocked and wished I'd have read the reviews.

They said that I had misunderstood, the woman I was speaking to told me if I took my car in to have the tires changed did I want my old tires back? It happened to me also. I brought my wife a $16000 10 diamond love bracelet for Christmas in 2022 and it arrived the wrong size. I am a Physician and I had it on my wife’s wrist for about 30 seconds and I was extremely careful with it. I sent it back to Cartier for an exchange for a smaller size and they refused to accept the bracelet in return, stating we damaged it and it was “not pristine”. We did not damage the bracelet. It was either damaged in shipping, or whoever opens the packages at Cartier is damaging the returns on purpose. I have literally received better customer service from Goodwill.

On May 11th, waited outside for 20 minutes to get in. Fine. Once in, asked to wait for an associate, fine. Waited another 20 minutes. Pauline helped us. Pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable person. We decided to purchase 2 watches and a wallet. Was taken upstairs to finalize the transaction. We paid. We asked for a drink, as we saw others receiving. Now 1 1/2 hours passed. Fine. Pauline tried to process the duty free paperwork. When it didn't work on her laptop, she said she needs to go downstairs to use a different computer and be back in 10 minutes. Fine. 30 minutes later, an associate brought the merchandise and left it in front of us. Where was Pauline? At the 45 minute mark, I went searching for the now missing Pauline. I asked the security guard, the only person around as we were left there all this time without a word from a soul. I saw an associate wiz by and asked him to send the Manager.
Julie came. We explained our upset, now 50 minutes later, left alone, and told her, we wanted the transaction reversed. She offered us a glass of champagne! We declined and now Pauline arrived, apologizing, stating the computer was stuck. Ok, but why NO communication with ANY update from ANYONE? Left completely alone, now nearly another hour. WOW. Anyone could have been sent to update if not Pauline. Julie tried to offer us now, a bottle of champagne. We were leaving for the USA the next day, plus we felt defeated with no Cartier purchase to celebrate, so we gracefully declined it. We asked them to help order us a cab, as now 2 1/2 later, nothing to show for it, time lost and other commitments to take care of, we felt, at the very least, they should pay for the cab.
As we left, there were 6 staff waiting around the entrance, no one waiting outside. Any one of them, could have communicated with us at any time. To add insult to injury, we contacted Cartier through their website regarding this incident (note there is no box/drop down to file a complaint), plus, I chatted with the live chat, even called yesterday to follow up, and was told, "we were in the system, it's been escalated" and you will hear from us within 24-48 hours, and again, ZERO contact/communication. Needless to say, we won't ever purchase anything Cartier. It's apparent Cartier doesn't like to address complaints. Awful service. No thank you.

Don’t buy from this Unbelievably heartless company. Ordered a bracelet late November as a Christmas gift for my wife. Started getting concerned when it didn’t arrive as Christmas approached. Made several calls to Cartier and got a bunch of lip service. Nothing solid regarding the bracket’s arrival though. Lot of promised callbacks that never occurred. They violated their website claims and didn’t bother to even alert me that the product was grossly delayed. It finally arrived weeks after Christmas and Cartier did nothing to attempt to make up for botching my primary Christmas gift. Not even a dollar off, literally NOTHING to make me feel like they cared.
Then to make matters much worse, I needed to exchange it for a different size and they refused!!! They claimed the bracelet was “damaged”. It certainly was not. Please avoid this company at all costs. They are insanely overpriced yet they still take their customers for granted to a painful level. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! He was told it was not to fit like a bangle that it was meant to sit on the wrist. So he ordered the 15mm. I tried it on the weekend before Valentine’s Day it barely fit and would not really move on my wrist and the little screws cut in to my skin so I took it off and put it back and called Sunday morning to request and exchange after ready terrible reviews on the process. I sent it back as soon as I got the email request info.
Just got word today 4 weeks later that they denied my request because it was received in “less than pristine” conditions which is impossible since I only tried it on. I asked for pictures and I am still waiting for those. Just seems suspicious that is takes so long to receive pictures of my bracelet. I would not trust this company. I never heard back for the repair, so mid January I tried contacting them by email & after 7 times, no one ever got back to me. I called Cartier customer service 6 times, always being told someone would get back to me, no one ever did. When I left a message that I would be contacting the authorities, someone finally sent me an email telling me that the repair would be delayed till end January 2022.
After contacting them again, I was told that my watch was just being buffed & should be sent out the following week, which it never was. I contacted them again & was told that for sure it would be shipped out to me the absolute latest Feb 24, 2022. I contacted them again after I didn't receive the watch. I bought myself a love bracelet after suffering a massive loss in my family. I had been saving for years and while nervous to spend $7K on a bracelet, I felt joy for the first time in a long time. When the box arrived my husband helped me to remove the item ever so carefully. We aren’t rich so we handled this bracelet like a newborn baby. To our complete surprise one side of the bracelet's screw popped off. How does such an expensive piece of jewelry break from practically a breath of air touching it!?!
The next day, I drove an hour in bad weather to a storefront to show them what happened and see how I can immediately get assistance. The man who helped me literally treated me like I was Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman. He told me I better call the 800-number off the website and leave his store or “It won’t be good for you.” Mortified, I called customer service and they walked me through the process to have the bracelet examined for exchange. IT HAS BEEN THREE MONTHS of waiting and having to frequently call for updates.
After losing patience and demanding for some resolution, I received a voicemail letting me know the bracelet is not able to be returned or exchanged because it was “my fault” the bracelet broke. I have never had such an AWFUL experience with a business - terrible customer service and cheaply made product for a luxury price tag. I plan on reposting my experience online to as many websites as possible to warn others. Take your money elsewhere!!!

Cartier is running a SCAM. I ordered a ring from the Love collection, had it in my possession for a week, returned it to exchange for the next size up after physically wearing it a very short time (1-2 hr) in perfect condition due to the fact that it was too small and I could not bear to keep it on my finger, I got NO communication from anyone at Cartier that my ring had even been recieved, I followed up numerous times, half the time not even getting a person on the phone, the other half I spoke with an "ambassador" who had no idea where they were in the process.
After initially being quoted 14 days for the QC review process, it was over a month before I finally got a generic email stating for any number of the reasons included in the email, that my request for a return was denied. I then had to go through four different "ambassadors" before finally being able to obtain the photos of "my" ring. The ring in these photos was absolutely trashed. Scratches EVERYWHERE. Damage like it had been worn for 20 years.
I have other gold rings I have been wearing for years that don't have even a fraction of the damage this ring they sent me photos of had. The amount of damage that they are claiming I did in one single week was physically impossible unless I had a heard of cattle run over it and then subsequently run over it again. They are running some sort of scam over there in order to defraud customers. There are multiple complaints on the Better Business Bureau website that details an identical situation to mine. This is not a coincidence. These people are running a SCAM and I will continue to fight it until I get my money back and I would never buy a product from this company ever again and I would advise anyone else to do the same.

I wish I could give them negative stars for ruining my love of the Cartier brand! In a sentence, most degrading experience EVER! Now I understand why people of color should shop where they are appreciated, and not just tolerated. Let me start off by saying, I had a great sales experience with Kerry ** on 6/26/21 when I visited the River Oaks Houston location to purchase a love bracelet to add to my collection which I was going to stack with an existing Juste un Clou bracelet. She suggested a size up from my Juste un Clou because otherwise they would cross one other. Ok, she’s the professional. I went with her recommendation, completed the purchase, and left a happy camper. After wearing for about an hour, I noticed the screw on the side was cutting into my skin.
I returned today, 6/27/21 (less than 24 hours from the purchase), and was shocked to learn how rude and unhelpful the staff would be to a great customer! Customer service starts at the top….the director Kari **, refused to exchange for the correct size (which they did let me try on and it fit perfectly!) because my bracelet was “worn & had skin on it”. Yes, my ** skin was on it!! I asked her how I would know the size didn’t work without wearing it and showed her the proof of purchase from the day before. Despite the 30 day return/exchange policy noted on the receipt, she flat out refused to help me in any way.
I asked for a higher manager, and she gave me a sticky note with a customer service number on it, excused herself, and called HPD to have them escort us out of the store because she will not do anything further. Lesson learned to never do business with such a dishonest bigoted group of people again. All I wanted was the correct size, now I want my money back! If anyone reading this knows how to escalate further, please help! Beware of shopping at Cartier River Oaks Houston if you are a person of color.

I bought a surprise gift (a Cartier love bracelet) for my wife online through Cartier.com but accidentally ordered the wrong size. When bracelet arrived we opened the pack and could see that the bracelet was smaller than expected. We gently put the bracelet back in its original packing, got an RMA from customer service and immediately shipped it back. Later when we enquired about the exchange they said the bracelet had scratches and is being rebuffed and if we want an exchange we need to pay additional $4000 (60%)!!! My wife only tried it for 5 seconds and they are saying we scratched it!
I read another review here where someone received a scratched love bracelet! Which means Cartier’s quality check is questionable. I think they either sent me a scratched piece or scratched it when they received it or are just lying about it to make money. I thought Cartier is a reputed brand and they won’t do anything like this while buying online but I was terribly mistaken. I will never buy from Cartier online again.

Ordered Trinity jewelry for Valentine's on February 3rd. Still hasn't arrived with nobody bothering to give me an update. This company does not understand online shopping or customer service. You'd think the CEO would make it a priority given it's 2021. Really sad because they make a great product. Word of advice, go to the store if you want to purchase from them. Do not buy online!

I made an appointment for a battery change of my watch that is working fine except for the dead battery. I was there 5 minutes before the appointment, but I had to wait 15 minutes in the scorching sun and another 15 minutes inside the store. The first employee was rude and unhelpful. The so called manager promised that they repair person will look at the watch, and the manager will call back within an hour with the results. She did not, so I went back to the store 2 minutes after closing. I had to ask security to find the person. I waited another 15 minutes front of the store when the manager called, pretending she did not know I was waiting there. Naturally the assessment was that my watch needed a $385 service.
I called Cartier's HQ, and they referred me back to the store. Another manager called, and sent me a service estimate for the same amount, but did not address any of the issues that the previous manager mentioned. I told her that I don't want to get charged extra for the issues that were not mentioned in her estimate. Her response was that I won't be charged any extra over the estimate. I asked her to put it writing and send it to me in an email, but she refused to do so. I called Customer Service again where I got the runaround again. This is a so called luxury company that treats its customers like dirt. As for the watch; don't buy any of their watches because over the lifetime of the watch you'll re-buy the piece at least once or twice with their ridiculously expensive service.

I bought a Cartier watch for my husband's 40th birthday: the Santos Dumont Blue LARGE for $ 3,900.00 through a Chicago dealer, whom has been extremely professional and provided great service. My husband opened the gift on July 30th 2020, and although he was very happy with it, he could not wear it because the leather band was too small. I tried it on, I could close it but my blood would not circulate. I bought the large size, so I was surprised but thought it was a problem with an easy solution. I want to point out that we are both in good shape, fit and have an average wrist size, never had this issue before, I actually had to reduce my Rolex band because it was too big. The blue color of the leather was also different from the picture, more like a dark grey-blue-ish rather than the color in the website, but that's not what really matters.
I immediately contacted the dealer, who told me he would have requested a larger band. As of September 9th, not only we haven't received the larger band, but Cartier informed the dealer that it would take 5 more weeks. What is the point of spending almost $ 4000.00 for a watch you cannot wear? I'm honestly shocked that a brand such as Cartier doesn't have a stock of leather bands for watches here in the US where they have a pretty large distribution. They are blaming it on COVID, which is what lots of companies are doing to justify their poor service, like we don't know.
I'm in business too and I also import lots of products from all over the world, and not even if they would have had a man in Paris handcrafting the leather band it would have taken so long. I cannot return the watch because it's engraved so we are stuck with a brand new $ 4000.00 watch that is resting in a drawer and hasn't been used in over a month. Thank you Cartier for making my husband 40th birthday so special.

I have had my Cartier watch for over 20 years. I usually go to Cartier to replace the battery with no problems. This time, when I went the bill came to $500. for all these other items that needed attention. Ok, like I said it is an older watch, so maybe some things needed replacing. However, when I went to pick it up, the face was a shade darker and a little spotty. I immediately mentioned something as I noticed it right away.
So instead of recognizing that the customer was not happy, the assistant right away had to verify what the watch looked like prior to the work being done. Fair enough, but the abruptness and determination of her actions made me feel like a criminal. There was no trusting me on her part that I was making this up. Right away she had to pull up photos. It did not show this botching and dark spots. They did nothing about it and now every time I look at my watch, I think that I got scammed. But a high end retailer. Terrible service and no attempt to satisfy the customer.

Cartier ring "Love Wedding Band" for $1500+ gives me skin rashes/irritations on my fingers every time I wear it. Already had skin rashes about 8 times from this ring and they only go away after 5 days. I suspect that Cartier tries to save on costs and blends gold with cheap nickel because nickel is known to give skin irritations and allergic reactions.
I have purchased it in the Fall 2019 at Aventura Mall official Cartier store. After complaining and showing my skin, the staff working at Cartier did not agree to refund my money. They just promised to test it for other metals, but they have never contacted me back about the results!!! They said that they will email me the results in several days, but it has been more than 3 weeks already. I keep on changing the ring to wear it on different fingers, but this problem keeps on happening and I'm not the first one with it. I've read complains from people online as well. Hopefully, this review makes Cartier rethink about their reputation, but I'm never buying anything from this company AGAIN!

Disgusting service from a so-called luxury brand. There was a problem with my £6k watch due to no fault of mine. The crown was loose and meant it failed to start once it hadn’t been warned for a while. Cartier refuses to accept responsibility for a watch that never worked properly despite it being under warranty. Disgraceful and avoid at all costs. I’ve now got a broken watch for £6k. There are so much better watch brands.

I purchased the Love Bracelet online for my wife's birthday. The bracelet arrived with minor scratches and defective locking mechanism. When I called Cartier they placed an exchange order for us and I shipped the old one back. I never received the exchange order, instead they shipped an empty box to me without any notification and then 2 weeks later they shipped the bracelet, also without any notification. I found the package with $6k worth of jewelry randomly laying in my mail room. They also didn't replace the bracelet, they fixed the broken one they initially shipped to us. This is ridiculous. The worst company ever.
