    Best thing I ever did was get pet insurance. This was my first time and after researching and comparing, went with Spot Pet Insurance. It was so easy to enroll, premium was affordable, and the best customer service ever! Had to file a claim after only the second month, my dog got something in his foot, and it was paid right away. I couldn't believe how easy it was to file a claim and how fast I got my refund. It's such peace of mind knowing I have assistance if a large vet bill happens. Thank you Spot Insurance for doing it right!

    I’ve generally found the claims process very easy. They have never outright rejected a claim and there’s only been a couple things here and there on a bill that they said they won’t cover. Claims reimbursements happen quickly as well. Our vet recently referred our dog to an internal medicine specialist, so we will see how that claim goes once we get through that situation.

    I got Spot when I adopted an 11 yr old dog that had a history of severe neglect. The neglect my dog, Tito, endured affected every body system and took him almost a year to recover from. Knowing that Tito might have medical issues in the future, due to his history, I went with Spot after I read this on their website (for CA resident), “Pre-existing conditions are not covered by our plans. However, If your pet’s pre-existing condition is curable and has been cured and free from treatment and symptoms for a period of 180 days it is a new occurrence.”

    I thought this was very important because the insurance I have for my other dog, Toby, is still holding certain things as “pre existing conditions,” even though they are not ongoing conditions/illnesses at all. At the time of adoption and still, Tito has been healthy with only 2 visits to the vet so far. I’m grateful, but I know I’m prepared for the future if his health takes a turn for the worst. Customer service on the phone and through the app for claims/estimate processing has been awesome. The insurance Toby has seems to fight every claim, is slow to respond, and doesn’t collect medical records from the vet (even though their website says they will). Spot insurance is better in all of those ways. After 1 year with Spot, I’ve decided to switch Toby over to it as well. I recommend Spot to my family and friends.

    Claim process was very easy, and reimbursement better than previous company. My cat is 16 years old with recurring prescription and shot. This might have been a problem with other companies, but was business as usual for Spot.

    We are paying for the 90% reimbursement plan. The last few times our vet turned in the medical procedures done on my dog, Spot denied the claim saying it was a pre-existing condition even after the vet sent in further proof that it was not. These were new medical issues. I would stay as far away as possible from this company. They are horrible!!!

    I researched pricing and coverage for my new fur baby and SPOT offered the most options at the best price. Submitting a claim was simple and reimbursement turnaround time was excellent. SPOT also provides discounts to many sites and new pet parent helpful tips. The SPOT website is user friendly. The comfort of knowing that my fur baby has affordable insurance in the event of an accident or just for preventative care is one less thing I need to worry about.

    Best way to protect your love Fur Baby, I’m please and happy with their system, and uncomplicated reimburse policy.     I cancelled my insurance with Spot Pet Insurance because I was paying more than what it was covering. There were claims they didn’t cover even after one year and then decided to raise the cost due to my dog turned 3 and a half. So I cancelled my account. Will look towards other pet insurance at affordable cost.

    Really!!! Spot insurance is a joke. I canceled June 20, 24 and then they charge me for June and then July go up on me and charge me for July, August, and September. I have already paid $771.00 to this insurance and they denied my claim. They owe me $291,19 since they have stolen $ out of my account from canceling it

    Well... why are all insurance companies seem to be run by scammers? I took my pet to the vet because she was scratching too much and they gave her some medicines, saying it could be seasonal, or a tick bite, or something else. Spot asked me for her medical history, and then denied the claim because they considered it a "Pre-existing condition" since I had taken her two years ago to the vet for an allergic reaction... Well... that is just ludicrous. If I have a flu today, go to the doctor, and 2 years later go to the doctor for a flu, do I have an EXISTING CONDITION??? Of course not!!! I would be ok with the money I spent going towards my deductible, actually I expected it, but to be denied on such a ridiculous argument??? They SUCK! If she had cancer, OK, I would understand. But for this? Just dishonest.

    Claims are easy to process, you collect your receipts & vet notes and upload on the website. I was reimbursed in a few days in accordance to my contract. When I had questions, staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Rates are very competitive for what you get.

    If I could give Spot Pet Insurance Zero stars - I would. Beware: They don’t pay for your claims. And they don’t accept most of the vet paperwork submitted. Even when it’s the “soap notes” they require. I’ve only taken my dogs to the best vets around and none of them have this paperwork readily available. The whole claim submission process is very time consuming and doesn’t work.

    I had two dogs at the start of my policies. One died a few months into his policy and they paid for zero of his vet appointments (over $700 in appointment charges). None of the vet visits were for a pre-existing condition. My second dog is elderly and is needing teeth extraction. Also not a “pre-existing condition”. I’ve had thousands of dollars in vet bills over the last couple months and Spot Pet Insurance has paid out around $125. This is pathetic and not at all worth the $66 monthly fee per dog (which I’ve canceled both policies now, obviously). They make it sound easy with the app - but the company is amazingly disorganized and literally nothing works.

    I researched a lot of pet insurance options, and Spot seemed to offer the most at a reasonable price! Not only that, but it lets you customize each policy for each pet, and they could be changed at any time and as many times as you feel necessary. It is so easy to file a claim and the turnaround to receive reimbursement is fairly quick. With three dogs and a cat, having Spot insurance has been a lifesaver on my wallet! I would definitely recommend Spot insurance to anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced personalized insurance!

    Switched to Spot last year as there was an employer discount from my job and I was able to cover all 4 of my pets for about the same as what I was paying for 2 on my previous insurance. 2 months after switching my dog was diagnosed with Cushings disease and cost me over 3k in 1 year in testing and prescriptions. I submitted all my receipts in the app recently and I was reimbursed about 1900 within about 7 days direct to my bank account. I missed out on about 400 of reimbursement because there is a 270 day cutoff for submitting so be careful to submit your receipts before that deadline. Anyway, no hassles. They reaches out to my vet for medical records and about 3-4 days later I received my reimbursement.

    I paid for top-tier coverage (very low deductible, 90% coverage, preventative plan) and the expeditious reimbursement for my puppy’s first vet visit two days after I started the plan is a welcome sign of how this company operates. While the coverage allowance is lower than my vet prices on almost everything, it has more than paid for itself this first month - and with microchipping and spaying coming in the next few months I’m sure it will pay for itself during this first year. I did not have insurance for my last dog, and she developed several extremely expensive conditions that made my finances troublesome for the second half of her life. The peace of mind this plan offers is worth it even if I wasn’t already seeing costs being covered!

    I've been a little burned by pet insurance in the past... They always found a way to weasel out of paying till you just don't see the worth in paying.... (Go pet plan - don't recommend). Spot is different! At first we started off on the wrong foot when they denied the allergy food my vet prescribed calling allergies a pre existing condition.... (My dog had grass allergies prior to my plan) but the food was for potential food allergies. Still whatever, it's just a food. But ever since then EVERY SINGLE THING I have filed a claim for has been paid. My cat Smokey had his lens disconnect and float to the front of his eye... We just had 3 animal ophthalmologist specialty visits, an er visit, and a last minute surgery that cost a whopping $8500. I filed the claims once I got the medical records and I didn't have to fight to get my reimbursement!! I filed online and in 4 days it got approved.

    They really are a good company and anyone looking for a pet insurance that doesn't have a long list pre-existing conditions consider giving Spot a try. If I was to wish anything to change I wish they would let me add more coverage to my policy (I couldn't afford the higher policies when I first signed up). I wish I did the unlimited coverage vs 10,000 annual reimbursements. And I wish I can upgrade my coverage amount from 70% to more. They give you all these options in the beginning but once you sign up you can only go lower not higher.

    It's our first puppy, and I have compared several insurance companies and their policies and decided to try Spot Pet Insurance (because they cover Vet office visit while most others don't). I did not expect to use the insurance at all, but little did I know about puppies. Not too long after activating the policy, our puppy swallowed a soft dinosaur toy and ended up in emergency care. Then few weeks later he ate marijuana someone threw on the street; another Vet visit. Both times, we submitted the claims and were reimbursed quickly. No questions asked. The claim process was like a breeze. We were so glad we got insurance from Spot.

    We had to take my golden do event twice in 2 days. For being sick. They had to run many tests and bill was pretty extensive. This was my first time using Spot Pet And I am totally pleased in the speed that they handled my claim. I would recommend them to anyone.

    I can’t say enough good things about SPOT Insurance. Both of our claims were entirely unexpected and SPOT came through without hesitation to help us with the expenses. I will never be without SPOT coverage. You just never know what is around the corner with our furry family members but you can be sure that veterinary urgent care will be expensive. It’s not IF, it’s WHEN! We will never be without SPOT coverage! Thank you!

    Services provided were great and then they raise my rate an additional $150.00. This was for my 2 pets. They take forever to send your check. It seems like an unreasonable price increase. I decide to switch to Figo thru Costco.com.

    This was the first pet I decided to get insurance for. I did some extensive research before deciding and let me tell you I wasn't disappointed with choosing Spot. I had my very first claim for my Maine Coon kitten to have I neuter and between the day I submitted the claim to payment I was super impressed at how quickly they got it done!!! I highly recommend Spot. I do have my kitten extra covered with not only preventative but I added the accident and illness as well and paying the extra and I feel like down the road it will be helpful and worth it if needed.
