I have a 9 month Chihuahua puppy that I bought a collar for. After the first day I noticed his neck was red. Upon taking off the collar his neck is blistered and raw under collar. I will never use this product again. It's terrible!!!

I bought product at the Dollar Store. My dog is 17lbs says to use on dogs 7-33 lbs. Past 3 days she has had a head tilt and weirdly scratching her neck. Took her to vet today and he said Permethrin (main ingredient) is highly poisonous. They even have on the box "DO NOT USE ON CATS, MAY BE FATAL." I feel horrible. I have put my dogs life in jeopardy. Do not use this product. If you have, wash immediately off with sensitive soap or shampoo, then again day or so later.

Made with natural oils that have poisoned my whole household. So many side effects in humans and pets. I purchased the product in April 2020 at Dollar Tree in Litchfield Illinois as a preventive. The harm done is irreversible and has been physically, mentally, emotionally exhausting in every way manner literally and figuratively. I have photos videos and documentation of this and Sergeant's needs to be held accountable.

I had purchased this product to control my cat fleas. Once I put this drops on my cat’s neck it instantly gave him a rash. I am scared that it will get worst or that he will eventually lick some of this product and die. Please be aware of this product. It is not safe! I am surprised to see all of this comments and this stuff is still being sold! I will never purchase this product or recommend to anyone.

I purchased this product at the Dollar Tree in Hammond Indiana. I followed the instructions on back and immediately my cat started to run through my house and made a licking motion with his mouth. Almost like when we get peanut butter in our mouth and can't lick the roof of our mouth?! He then started to gag like he was trying to throw up. A white foam came from the side of his mouth. He wouldn't drink any water or eat food for 8 hours. We tried guiding him to water every 10 minutes. Finally he started to cry and scratch the back of neck area with his hind leg.

Plain and simple. I Purchased these flea and tick collars 4 of them. Had them on my cats for 3 days and I noticed tonight my pumpkin had a a burn on his neck! And we took the collar off immediately!! Checked the other 3 and they ALL HAVE BURNS ON THEIR NECKS!!! These collars the chemicals burned my cats necks. These collars could of killed my cats.. And the smell is horrible. It even affected my breathing.... These collars need to be taken off the shelves of all stores!!

Please do not use this product on your fur babies. My poor cat at chemical burns all around her neck from this products. Part of her skin is coming off and her hair is gone. Please make sure to look up products before you buy them, I made the mistake and didn’t with this one. Completely heartbroken for my baby.

Since my first review was taken down, I will put up another one. Me and my wife followed the directions exactly. Not even 10 minutes later our cats were having seizures even after repeatedly washing them. We had to sit there and watch our babies die a slow horrible death as we could do nothing but sit there and cry watching them.

I purchased Sergeants OTC plus for cat on October 19, 2019 and put it on my cat's neck. In 3 days the hair was off her back and the skin was a bloody, chunky mess. I have pictures if I’m able to attach them. Today is November 26 and she is just now to where she’s not bleeding. She still has a horrible place on her face, I suppose from transferring it from her back with her paw.

I put this on my two cats and they had a horrible reaction to it! One of them has raw bloody skin where it was applied and both ran and twitched like crazy. There's no way to put into words how insane it made them. Called vet and was told they've had several cases where other pets had same situation and some much worse... seizures and death! Washed both cats multiple times with dish soap to get product off. It's been a week and a half and one is now on antibiotics and other is doing ok. This company needs to be shut down!!

I gave my dog a bath on Sunday Oct. 8th, 2019. Immediately following the bath my dog was shivering. I thought he was cold so I covered him with 2 blankets. Even took pics.. See it was a cold day. I thought I just chose a bad day for the bath. That night he became distant from everyone. Which my baby is a cuddler. Next day he was getting sick after drinking his water. I thought perhaps he had a cold. So Tuesday morning when my grandson showed up and made it all the way in the house and my dog never even lifted his head. I knew something was wrong.

I put one of these on my cat as backup for his weekly bath. Within hours I noticed that almost his whole neck was raw and bleeding through the skin down to the meat. He has no hair on almost his whole neck. I couldn't get it off fast enough!!! Should be able to give them negative stars!!!!

I recently bought one for my baby cat and she was not acting herself. Not thinking anything about it, I noticed that she had these chemical burns on her poor lil neck! I'm not happy with this company for selling something so horrible and cruel to animals and still on the shelves. I'm to the point if it doesn't come off soon I will sue and donate all the funds to animal cruelty funds and and I'm sure I can get a lot of people to stand behind me on this. There is no reason to have something so evil and cruel on the shelves. Take it off or you will see me go off! My poor fur baby is so miserable and in pain, that she is so innocent and I'm here to protect her and all the other innocent ones. There is no need for this.

Hi, DO NOT USE. This product is TOXIC to cats. Upon following the directions (we called Sergeant's to ensure we did so correctly) our cat had a severe reaction to the flea treatment. Within 2 minutes of applying the treatment, our cat was howling and disoriented. She was running around the house and acting erratically. We promptly washed the flea treatment off, along with all the hair in the area that we applied the treatment.

My cat is dying. Having seizures, and I can't afford a vet. If he dies I'm suing the company, Bansect. I bought this at Dollar Tree this morning, and my cat is having severe seizures. I am very upset about this as I have a severe infestation of fleas from my new house yard.

My 4-yr old Calico female - Calypso - was loaded w/ fleas after escaping from the house for 3 days. When I finally caught her - I needed to get something quickly to quell the fleas. My vet wasn't open until Monday and this was a Friday night. I purchased the product at Dollar Tree, brought it home, and with some trepidation, applied it to the high part of her neck, so she couldn't lick it off. The odor was very strong at first and I was scared to death. She didn't react at all to it. While I was happily shocked, I was still cautious and watched for any negative reactions for the next 24 hours. There have been none at all.

I am writing this review as a public service, keeping in your mind your pre-message advice about your products. One, I paid 59.99 at the local Walmart because I, too, am on disability and live on a fixed income, $8000 a year. My dog Lola; she is a maltese/poodle mix that weighs 20 lbs by the vet. I bought the economy pack of 6 tubes of Pet Armor Plus. Had I noticed that it was a Sergeant's product I would not have purchased it in the first place as your product are not safe for the animal, not effective and like most large companies, value for profit far outweighs the quality of lives for the pet and family.

Like an idiot, I didn't part my then 4 month old Calico kitten's hair. So this stuff slide down where she could lick it. It says on the box to feed her if she ingests it. I did. No matter, she acted like she was drugged out of her mind. Confused, catatonic, shakes, salivating profusely then foaming then salivating. Head and leg shakes and trimmers, etc. An hour after applying I did wipe the stuff off of her. The symptoms are worse the within the first 6 hours after applying. I went to bed but she was 80% recovered by morning and 100% by the next day or so. The month prior she didn't ingest as much and had fewer symptoms.

I just adopted a stray wildcat. He's beautiful! I named him Timmy. So I am buying stuff to get him all fixed up. I went up to my local Dollar General store and bought my new cat a Sergeant's Dual Action flea & tick collar. When I got home I immediately put this Sergeant's flea and tick collar on Timmy. In a matter of minutes Timmy was acting strange and walking funny. I went online to research and read reviews on Sergeant's flea & tick collar for cats. I was getting real upset about the reviews I was reading. Reviews of Pet owners dogs and cats suffering from seizures, burns around neck, in some cases even death and the list goes on. I immediately took the Sergeants flea collar off of Timmy and I put it where it belongs. The trash!

My girlfriend used this product on her cat and within a couple hours he was found having a full on seizure. We IMMEDIATELY took him to the vet and they confirmed they have had many animals brought in with the same symptoms after using this product. They gave meds to help the tremors and fluids and a bath to get off any residual flea medicine. All we can do now is wait and see if he gets better.

I purchased the Sergeant's dual flea and tick collar July 18th. Today, July 19th my 50 pound pit bull mix can't walk. She's stumbling and shaking her head. I see all these terrible reviews of the same thing happening to all these dogs and cats, some even passing away. How is this company still able to sell these pos poisons products???

These essential oils are TOXIC to cats, do research before you use anything on your pets. Your cat will get very sick if you use this. These oils are known to contain phenols and be toxic to cats: Wintergreen oil, Peppermint oil, Citrus oil (including lemon oil), Tea tree oil (Melaleuca oil), Pine oil, Eucalyptus oil, Cinnamon oil, Pennyroyal oil, Sweet birch oil, Clove oil, Ylang-ylang oil. The higher the concentration of essential oil, the greater the risk to your cat. If your cat ingests any oils accidentally, go to the veterinarian immediately.

Today is July 17, 2019. I went to the store to buy "Spot-Ta" my cat some flea medicine, because when I pet her, I noticed she had fleas. I bought an OTC flea and tick medicine (I cannot afford to take her to see a vet, due to me being a disabled single mom of 3, on low-income budget). It was called Sergeant's Nature's Guardian Natural Flea and Tick squeeze-on for cats/kittens Peppermint oil. Almost immediately, Spot-Ta started to shake, she ran up and down the house (which she never does). She began to foam at the mouth. When we finally caught to rinse it off, she began to urinate on the floor, and very lethargic. Here we are, she has now secluded herself, and don't want to resurface. I am very scared for Spot-Ta....Someone help!!!!

This is a horrible flea product. I will never ever use this on my animals ever again. My poor cat started foaming from her mouth meowing. This product should be discontinued. NO ONE USE THIS ON YOUR ANIMALS. It stinks really bad. It hurts your poor animals' eyes and it makes them go crazy. If you use this on your cat more than once you're crazy because the first time should be a warning. It's horrible. My kids were crying thinking their cats were gonna die. I hope they take this product off every single shelf in the world. Now I have to keep a close eye on my cat for 24 hours just because of a brand that’s supposed to be natural and safe for animals and children LIES. And they have no fine print saying the product maybe cause foaming from mouth.

I thought my poor dog was going to have a heart attack after applying this product. Twitching, panting, couldn’t sit still or sleep until the next day. He gets a monthly tick & flea his whole life with no problems until I used this poison.

I put Sergeant's Nature's Guardian flea drops on my cat and within minutes he began foaming at the mouth, running back and forth frantically and his skin, where I applied the flea control was red as a beet. With the help of my daughter, we got him to the tub and bathed him to get it off of him. The smell was overwhelming and burned my eyes. I can't imagine what my cat was feeling. I will never use this product again.

We had a one and a half year old Cane Corso who was about 100 lbs and the sweetest boy, EVER. He was our baby. Completely healthy, never had an issue until we used this terrible stuff. Within 24 hours he was seizing and flopping around like a fish out of water. It was terrible to watch. We took him to the Vet, they gave him a bunch of tests. He tested negative for epilepsy and over the next 5-6 weeks the seizures were regular/weekly, but not enough to consider his quality of life so bad that we would have to put him down so the Vet figured they would try to give him medicine to minimize the seizures, hoping it might help and within about a week after that we woke up to him going into a seizure that he would never come out of. We raced him to the closest animal hospital and he died about 2 or 3 minutes after arriving. His temp was almost 120 and his body just shut down. This product is HORRIBLE.

Our cats have never had fleas. Then our dogs got them so I bought the Nature's Guardian Flea Treatment from our local Dollar Tree just for prevention. I figured it didn't need to be the best since they've never had fleas & still don't. I was WRONG! As soon as we put this on our cat (103 yrs old & healthy) she began foaming at the mouth & running around like she was on fire! We IMMEDIATELY wrapped her in a towel and sprayed her mouth out for 5 mins. Then we jumped in the shower and shampooed & rinsed her 5 times with Dawn Detergent. Hopefully she will be alright. This company should be sued in a class action lawsuit & Dollar Tree should pull it from their shelves! DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT! IT IS PURE POISON!

PLEASE DO NOT USE, IF YOU LOVE YOUR CAT! My cat now has serious burns to her neck and all her hair around her neck is gone. She is 12 years old and a tough cookie. Reading all these reviews makes me realize they need to be sued for every pet they have hurt!!!! I feel so bad for my cat and I will stick with what we have used for years!

Please don't use any product made by this company. Their flea squeeze application put my dog in the ICU overnight. Sergeant's knows. That's why the company reimbursed me on my vet bills. I did everything right. My dog lived.

My cat did not have fleas, but had wandered outside and I had rat in the garage. So I treated her. That night she began vomiting. That was April 16. April 17 I put her in the bathroom with her litter box and she stopped eating but kept vomiting. April 18, I took her to the vet, who gave her supportive treatment but said there was nothing in the literature about such a strong reaction to this medication. April 19, she is drooling massively and still vomiting, and of course very tired. I will take her back to the vet tomorrow, but I do not have high hopes.

My friend gave this to her cat and by morning the cat was dead. No health problems prior and the only new thing introduced to her. The cat was healthy and lived indoors. Could not have been anything else.

I had Marley For 7 Wonderful Years. She meant the world to me. Unfortunately I used Sergeant's flea and tick shampoo on her and after the bath she started shaking hiding and a few hours later had a really bad seizure. I rushed her to the emergency vet and they kept her overnight. She comes home the next day and within a few hours she has blood gushing out of her nose so back to the emergency vet we go.

If I could choose zero stars I would. I used the flea squeeze on my 17 year old snowshoe siamese and my 8 year old Russian blue. I was cautious to use a new brand on my older cats so I split a tube between them. Within an hour I noticed my Siamese was panting and his pupils were extremely dilated, I washed him because I was scared the dosage was too much for him. Over the next few days he was acting strange, 6 days later HE DIED. My Russian Blue itched herself so much she got bald spots and the fleas are STILL NOT GONE. So angry that I allowed myself to buy this low cost brand, I lost my best friend because of it. :(

I bought Sergeant's PRONYL OTC Plus for dogs today March 4, 2019 at 2:45 at Wal-Mart in Pell City Alabama for my 5-pound yorkie. When I open the box the tube was almost completely empty, you lay your finger flat down that how much it had in it. The bar code 73091 05165. The code 0248k 12 1536 060318. I took it back to Walmart to exchange for a another one that wasn't almost empty. If someone bought something it was almost empty, I would exchange it for another one when you pay almost $6.00 for it. I wanted to email y'all to let y'all know about Sergeant's PRONYL OTC Plus for dogs. If that way Walmart is going to do customer when they buy Sergeant's Pronyl and it's almost empty want exchange or give their money back, am thinking about not spending my money on Sergeant's dog's stuff anymore. This is a dangerous product. Immediately after properly applying this product to our one year old cat she fell off the bed disoriented, started foaming at the mouth and was leaning against the wall for support to try and walk to my daughter. WE IMMEDIATELY WASHED HER WITH SOAP AND WATER! WE ARE KEEPING WATCH OVER HER AND are very upset that a company is allowed to sell products that harm our pets!

Purchased Sergeant's flea and tick squeeze on for my 12 year old daughter's Russian blue cat. Applied it to the cat as directed and within hours the cat was lying on the floor going into tremors and convulsions and foaming at the mouth and nonresponsive. We rushed the cat to the animal hospital who are still trying to save her. She is only a year old and was very healthy until the use of Sergeants's product. We were told that if our cat survives overnight then she will have to remain in the hospital for days. My daughter is extremely upset and I'm sick to my stomach for buying this disgusting product. Cat owners BEWARE OF SERGEANTS FLEA AND TICK SQUEEZE ON FOR CATS AND KITTENS.

I put Sergeant's Gold flea treatment on my cat. He hated it. Ran around the house for an hour wildly, which I assumed was because he didn't like the gooey feeling on his back. Then, two days later all the hair fell out of the spot where I put the flea treatment, leaving bare skin with a bad rash. This product SHOULD NOT BE ON THE MARKET. It BURNED MY CAT! Sergeant's response was unhelpful in the extreme. Yes, this happens. We'll refund your purchase price. OUTRAGEOUS! One star is far too generous. It should be NEGATIVE 50 STARS!

My 6-month-old Dachshund mix took bath and nearly died... Couldn't stand. Kidneys were shutting down. Had to take to emergency vet for treatment. Just because of a simple bath. Will never use any of their products again! Would have sued if my puppy would of died!!!

I bought these collar for my 3 cats. My oldest cat has had them before. I noticed just last week she's super skinny, won't eat, drinks water, so weak, and is peeing herself. Went to the vet today, she's 4 lbs and is very sick thanks to these collars. I had to bath he to the chemicals off her fur. The vet is hopefully she WILL MAKE IT. TAKE THESE COLLAR OFF THE SHELF!!!
