DO NOT USE ON YOUR PETS OR ANY ANIMAL...Our cat Cheddar got out & I had bought a couple of these flea control tube at Dollar Tree. Within minutes I am assuming he managed to lick some of this "poison" even though I put it high on his neck. He starting foaming at the mouth & started vomiting blood tinged vomit. I panicked & gave him a bath with dawn. So far he has stopped vomiting. Still smells like that "poison." Will continue to monitor & pray he doesn't start seizing or worse. All stores need to pull this product & Sergeant's needs to stop making it if they haven't already. I almost killed my cat, please do your research!!

I bought the guardian flea and tick collar, I don't know if I'm the only one that had an issue with this collar. My 5 lb pomeranian scratches and itches and there now 2 silver dollar sized bald spots on her back. Not sure if it's the collar but I'm assuming it is so I took it off. It nts say it starts working In 3 weeks for a 6 month time it works but with the more than a week on she's just having issues. The fleas don't die. Maybe ticks so this product is useless in my opinion.

Peppermint oil is extremely toxic to cats and it is the first ingredients in Sergeant's Nature's Guardian flea killer. Don't use this. Please look up things for your cats before you buy or put them on your cat topically. It makes them sick and lethargic.

My cat, Mori, was taken to the emergency room because of this product! My dad always uses flea and tick products on our cats every once in a while just in case they need it. So my dad used it on my cat before she had a surgery and once she got out of the surgery we took her home. (The surgery was for other reasons) but 30 minutes to an hour after we brought her back she started bleeding badly from her wound from the surgery and we called the veterinarian, they said it’s fine a little bleeding but once the bleeding got worse we called them again and we had to take her to the emergency room. They said she could have liver failure due to that product and it causes blood clots, etc. because it has clove oil in it which is HIGHLY toxic to cats! I do not recommend this for your baby, please look out for products and their ingredients!

We have farm cats so I am always seeking a long term solution to fleas and ticks. When I purchased this product from a local trusted farm store, I unfortunately failed to research it before using. It is possible that my one cat just had an allergic reaction, however, based on the severity and rapid onset of symptoms, I do not feel this product is very safe to be on the market. Within 48 hours of wearing, my cat had severe chemical burns around his neck and complete hair loss!

I removed the collar from his neck immediately when I noticed and took pictures. This was no doubt an effect of his new collar treatment. When I think about how this product could have been inside of a home and/or around children it is terrifying to me. Be warned this product marketed to improve the health of your pet; MAY HAVE THE OPPOSITE RESULT. It is potentially harmful and dangerous. Based on my experience as well as many others I have now read, this product should be pulled from the shelves.

I first bought the topical and after a week I noticed it was not working at all. She was still getting fleas. I turned around and bought the flea collar. It didn't work either. I was wanting to file a complaint and then I noticed all of the complaints of other people and I'm glad I read it because I took her collar off immediately. This should be something made public more like on TV or something. I didn't know this product was so toxic or could be if it wanted to be but it doesn't work just makes animals sick. Thank God my poor baby wasn't sick, just bugged with fleas.

I would give this product negative stars if I could. I used the topical drops on my healthy 13 year old cat. She did not show any adverse signs until a *week later*.

This past Saturday night, she started to throw up in bed, and I thankfully got her off the side before she projected a clear, very foul smelling liquid down my dresser front and on the floor. I cleaned her and it up, watched her for a while, then went back to sleep when she seemed settled. Sunday morning, she was wobbly, lethargic, vocalizing on and off, and had blown out pupils.

She was rapidly declining and I could tell. As a medical care provider, it looked to me like she had had a stroke. I did what I could to make her comfortable and keep an eye on her, but not long after she had a terrible seizure right in front of me, yowling, then collapsed into labored breathing and drooling, and then died about an hour later in my arms. My four year old is fortunately fine. I know that this is the only change in routine, and the cause of her demise. Your company needs to stop producing this stuff.

Applied this to my 3 year old, 10 pound cat as directed by the box. She immediately started showing negative reactions by trying to clean herself, meowing, and scratching. We immediately took her to the bath and used dawn and lots of water to rinse her off and so far she’s doing okay. I have seen so many negative reviews on this website as well as Amazon and many others, if this company sees these reviews then they should be ashamed of hurting 1000s of animals and they need to immediately remove this product from shelves everywhere. Retailers need to do their part and just say no to putting this on shelves.

I applied this product as directed on two 1 year old cats. The female started foaming at the mouth immediately with the second starting shortly after. As per the instructions, I flushed both cats with water then gave each a bath in an effort to remove the topical. I purchased this product assuming it was natural, made with essential oils and safe for my cats. Please do your homework. The main two essential oils (Peppermint and Clove) are both considered to be toxic to cats. Shame on this company for offering and continuing to sell a product with known toxins. Please do your homework before using any treatment to your fur babies - know I will never make this mistake again. I contacted the store where this product was purchased and requested they remove the product.

Don’t buy Nature’s Guardian flea & tick. I’m currently sitting here praying my family’s 8-month-old kitten makes it through. We followed the directions exactly. Immediately he started drooling, eyes dilated & generally not acting like himself. Within 10 minutes, started scrubbing him down with wet wash rags trying to get the treatment off of him. Then washed him up with Dawn. About an hour later still could smell the awful stuff on him, washed him again & then trimmed the fur in the application area. He ate wet food but isn’t drinking much water. Also didn’t use the litter box in the last 10 hours. So fearful we are going to lose our super sweet, super healthy kitten. Why is this still on the market?

I put this treatment on three of my cats. 2 of them started convulsing and foaming at the mouth. I thought my babies were going to die. The hotline did nothing to help me. I gave them all baths with dawn dish soap and forced them to drink water. 8 hours later they were both fine and then 6 hours later my first cat started convulsing again.. I’m taking them to the vet.. Don’t give this to your beautiful babies if you love them.

I used this product on my dog and it burnt a hole in the back of his neck and burnt the hair off of him where the drops were applied. I shampooed him several times to get this product off of him as he looked as though he was dying and there was a huge chemical burn and still is on the back of his neck. He still had fleas all over him. All this product did was burn a hole on the back of my dogs, left him sick and still 2 weeks later he has a open wound. He is running around scratching and can't leave this wound alone. I am lucky he didn't die. Don't use this. It should be removed from the shelves.

This is the worse product ever. If you think about buying this don’t! I never knew it had so many bad reviews. It put chemical burns all around my cat's neck and I’m hoping when I take him to the vet that everything will be okay. I’m so disappointed. This is ridiculous. Please be safe. Read on items before purchasing them for your fur babies. Also this product is defective because they were literally fleas under the collar so it doesn’t even work period. All it does is harm your animal. It’s like you literally buying this product just to harm your animal basically! This deserves zero stars definitely not one and sued at that.

This product is DANGEROUS. It has many side effects! We used it on our three chihuahuas and all three reacted different! Our oldest Chihuahua started itching uncontrollably and blotching into blisters, the mama I was gasping for air and trying to cough something up and was unable to control her blinking and squinting, and the baby was walking around Super Hyper and dragging her face on the ground when she ran, she also was unable to control her squinting and jerking around with spasms. Within the first 24 hours all three were extremely weak and lethargic and acting as if it was killing them. Do not use this product if you care about your pets! We will be starting a class action lawsuit against this company.

This product 1000000% killed my cat. Abrupt KIDNEY FAILURE!! There aren’t enough words in the world to explain how I’m feeling right now. I just had to make the final decision to put my cat down after keeping him in the hospital 2 nights trying to save his life. His body went downhill so quick. He was perfectly fine a week ago... I went back and forth with God and myself for hours and sleepless nights praying and hoping that he would make it.. I hope NOBODY has to endure the heartache I’ve gone through the past couple days. I hope nobody has to decide that your baby has had enough and you have to ultimately watch them die...

I called the customer service to obviously tell them what their product has done to only be told “our product doesn’t soak into the animal's skin, just sits on top of the skin”. WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG (VET CONFIRMED). Anything you put on your animal's skin SOAKS IN!!!! It’s common sense. $600 later I came home without my sweet boy and my empty sofa and his lonely confused kitty brother. I wish I could take it all back..

I had ordered my 2 large dogs prescription flea and heartworm meds from overseas. The mail has been painfully slow and had been 1+ month since my order shipped and still had not arrived. My dogs are active and love the outdoors and brought some hitchhikers home at some point. I could see they were both uncomfortable and itchy. On a whim when buying treats I saw Sergeant's at Dollar General and thought what could it hurt until their meds arrive? While symptoms weren't as severe and heartbreaking as some posts here, both of my dogs were visibly more miserable and now sick after the application.

Both of my boys had diarrhea, vomiting, and lethargy on top of still having fleas. I washed them but it was too late. My shepherd seems better but my pittie has lost enough fur at the application site that his poor chemically burned skin is visible in about a 4x2in area. Sergeant's is 10l0% dangerous for pets, a complete waste of your money, and does not work at all. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
