    I am very disgusted because I have been a customer of PETMEDS for years. Usually every time they send a package, they send a dog bone. And even though they know I have two dogs, they only send one bone. This time I ordered the six pack of Nexguard for over $100 and they didn't even include a bone in the package. My dogs are real smart and they know when that package comes before I even open it, they know there is usually a bone inside. This time after spending all that money, they didn't even send a bone. My dogs were standing there looking confused as to where their bone was. Since they usually only send one I have to break it in half. Then they stopped sending the large bone and started sending a small bone. Then each month the price of the Nexguard is going up $10 or more. I'm going to start looking for another site to order my Nexguard.

    The customer service was fantastic! I have been ordering my pet’s meds through PetMeds for the past 11 years. Unfortunately, my dog passed soon after our auto shipment of his Trifexis arrived. Customer service was able to refund this order. We will definitely be returning to PetMeds when we decide to add another pet to our family.

    I finally reached Cindy today and she was wonderful. She listened, was empathetic and did what I needed right away. I was going to stop ordering from you because I got an online offer for $55.99 for my ** tabs 44-88 lbs and went to order online. It gave me a code to use and that didn't work either. I called and talked to a male rep. He said there was nothing he could do then said he'd reach out to manager. Her first response was any price I saw on Google she won't accept. How could it give you a price, promo and your company name. Anyway after some time on the phone this woman boss said she'd call me back later that night. I waited all night, no call. So I wrote feedback and never heard back. I thought I'd try one last time and Cindy took care of me. Otherwise you would have lost me as a customer.

    I called perhaps a week ago for a prescription refill. I was told that it was out of stock and that I would be notified once it was available. I called again today because I never received notification of availability. Spoke with Robert in customer service. He apologized that I wasn’t notified and told me it was in stock. Also, he offered to contact my vet’s office for approval of the refill. Since I had to call again to find out if it was in stock, Robert waived the shipping charge and filled the prescription. These days I appreciate great service like that more than ever. It’s terrific that Robert was empowered to do that without getting approval from someone else. More companies should give their employees the power to make things easier for the customer. I really appreciate that service from 1800 Pet Meds! Thanks!

    Telephone order only: There was a 10 minute wait. The customer service employee was very polite and asked about my pet. She called the pharmacy to check on refills I had left. I ordered and paid. Very nice experience. Online order only: PetMeds does not keep the online site updated on the amount of refills left. So if you order and there is no refills, the order gets stuck in the computer ethos and never gets processed. I always call to place orders.

    I have used Pet Meds for many years and have always found that Customer Service is excellent. They offer good prices and I will not go anywhere else for medications for my dogs. They deliver the medications by mail and I always receive them within 3 to 5 business days. I just ordered Vetmedin for my rescue dog that I have had for eight years. He is doing very well on this medication and has lived more than two years longer than expected.

    They had a promo for $50 off, I had it already applied to my cart & when I went to checkout - it'd disappeared! I spent an hour trying to get it back & they said today they'd changed it that evening to minimum $100 spend. But I had a friend place an order with it this morning, so I assumed they changed it back! No, they would not apply it when calling in.. despite error in their part/site. I wasted 2.5 hours despite surgery this week, TRYING! They didn't care.

    I was not expecting them to pick up so quickly and was very pleased that she already knew who I was and what my order was, probably by my telephone number, by the time she picked up my call. I had to have an appt that day for my dogs and they were able to send it back over to my vet's office, and I am now awaiting my vet's office to respond, which seems to take up most of the time-not PetMeds.     Don't use them! Placed an order for one year's worth of meds for my 2 dogs. Cost $495 with discount. That amount was charged to my credit card. Got 6 months worth in the mail. Checked my credit card and they took off the original charge and then charged $362 for 6 months worth of meds. The previous order for the same med for 6 months was approx $250!! When I talked to them, they said they had nothing to show that I had ordered 12 month's worth. So they either lied when I ordered, or they changed it and lied about that. Will never, ever use them again. They are dishonest. Beware!!

    When I googled the insulin pen, another company came up first. Their customer service rep was horrendous and offered no help.     Terrible experience. Placed an order several days ago and was told it would be shipped overnight, which I was happy to pay for. Getting Vet approval went very poorly, resulting in my having to make several extra phone calls and the folks at the Vet hospital sitting by their fax machine waiting for PetMed. Called PetMed and once they called me back (after a while) they put me on hold so long that I finally just gave up. When they finally got it approved they sent the order out by regular UPS, which is taking 5 days. We still don't have it and are going to have to drive to a hospital to get the medication tomorrow, as we have run out. Plan to send the medication back to them if and when it ever arrives. What a drag.

    Back in early 2019, I ordered online some meds for my German Shepherd using a card that I don't use at all. About 1 week later a movers guide showed up in my mail, apparently a worker at the Pet Meds warehouse who has access to the credit card orders, used my information and card to change the address for all my mail to their address. Ironically it was an address 15 miles from the Pet Meds warehouse.

    Luckily, my wife was working as a mail carrier and with the postmaster of her office got the transfer cancelled. I will never order from Pet Meds again, I still have the address where they tried to send my mail to. I wish Pet Meds kept the credit card info from the employees, they don't need to know, they just need to fill the orders.

    When it works it’s great but I have had 3 issues with PetMeds and am moving on. I noted earlier this month I had not received any notification that my pet’s meds were not shipped. When I accessed my account I noted that there was no December shipment scheduled and the next shipment was January. I updated, manually scheduling the December shipment and received an email stating that it was updated. Today I look and again no December delivery. I called and was told of a “glitch”. I do NOT recall receiving any notification email or text referring to this “glitch”. Terrible service since this is the 3rd issue I have had. One of the other times the system had cancelled my subscription and no one could explain why. I should’ve received an email and text explaining the issue and an expedited shipment. Would not recommend PetMeds to anyone at this point.

    I paid $20 for overnight shipping because my cat ran out of antibiotics and none of my local pharmacies had it in stock. This order was placed on Friday. It's late Monday, and I still haven't gotten it. Meanwhile, I've been on hold with the stupid music on the customer service line for half an hour and it keeps saying "Your wait time is more than 10 minutes." You can't tell me the wait time hasn't gone down, this entire time??

    They give you an option to receive a call back, which I did do the last time I called, but it took them hours and hours to call me back, and I missed the call. Meanwhile, there's no way to submit a form or send an email to customer service from their site. I did reply to the email I got confirming my order asking where my order was, and.. CRICKETS. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

    Despite my vet's office calling and confirming that 1800PetMeds would accept a faxed prescription (and after it was faxed twice), the company refused to fill my order. When I called and spoke to a rep they kept repeating that my vet's office said I had to go pick up a physical Rx and mail it. Would not acknowledge that the vet had faxed the Rx multiple times. Very poor customer service.

    I have ordered dog meds three times through PetMeds. Every time they screwed up the order. 1. They said they shipped the order but didn’t. They did bill me though. 2. The pharmacy acknowledged they had the vet order for the med. Five days later the pharmacy told me they never received the order. My vet had to submit the order three times. 3. The pharmacy filled my med order and billed me. A week later they filled the same order again and tried to bill me. You have to watch this company closely.

    Terrible customer service. Sept. 30th called to renew a prescription and held for 21 minutes. They need more help or staff.. Finally called Pet Smart and was answered within 2 minutes.     Contacted Petmeds months ago about a return/refund and was told "could donate items." Expecting a refund I donated instead of returning. Realized Petmeds never refunded even after months. I called them then, sent email. Received another email from petmeds told to send all info because "no account found." I send info. Then receive an email "call about refund." I Sent info and photos.. Petmeds email "call about refund."..Finally I call for 3rd time after sending info and photos twice of items told to donate. "Sorry, now it has been over a year"...They got me for hundreds.

    I had my dog's meds on autoship. The first month they came. The second month they never shipped so I had to call. The third month I got an email stating they’d be shipped out in a week. Two days after they were supposed to be sent I checked the site and they weren’t on my saved list anymore. I called them and they said they had been discontinued so they deleted them off my list and never contacted me. This was a seizure medication that was super important. This company is horrible.

    I ordered medication for overnight delivery on a Thursday night and I won't be getting my package till 5 days later Pet meds refused to refund the overnight shipping charges and I was told I will not get a refund if I want to cancel the order because it was shipped. They didn't honor their overnight promise at all and refused to help in any way. Great business practice. I won't ever give them my business ever again.

    Order a de-wormer for my cat on August 30, 2024. PetMeds does not provide any tracking information. I have to hunt for the order confirmation email. When I finally am able to log in to their site, it shows the product having shipped on September 3 and scheduled to arrive on September 9!! For four tablets!! At a shipping cost of $5! They overcharge for shipping and are very slow in shipping.

    I was waiting for the refill of my dog's medicine. Once the vet approved the med, Petmeds supposed to ship the medicine. It was passing the days, I was almost without medicine, and the shipment wasn't arriving. I called SEVERAL times and they would answer that they would ship it overnight. Even though I explained my dog is suffering, they wouldn't tell me that they are out of stock! So to get some pills from the vet. They just were holding me not to lose the sale. SHAME ON PETMEDS! THEY JUST LOST A GOOD CUSTOMER. They just didn't want to lose the sale even though my dog was in real pain!

    Their shipping is ridiculous and is ALWAYS late/delayed, even when you pay for expedited or overnight shipping. When they transferred from FedEx to UPS the entire operation went downhill. My dog's life saving medication has been multiple days late multiple months in a row now. And all they do is apologize and refund the order. No one ever makes it right or gets the medication to me on time. If this was a child I can guarantee you it would be a different situation.

    I ordered Revolution for cats on July 6, 2024. Today, I call 1-800-PetMeds for I have not received my product and it is now 7/16/24. After waiting on the phone for 10 minutes I finally get someone. She tells me my product is shipping today. That means it will be another week before I receive the product. I find this to be terrible customer service.

    Ordered the morning of 5/18, called on day 3, 4 and 5 looking for shipping information/tracking numbers. I shipping labels was generated very late on the 5th day, and my order didn't ever reach the shipper until the 6th day. It is now estimated to take 11 or more days for me to receive. I've had to special order from another semi local vendor in the mean time resulting an more than an hour round trip to pick up. This was absolutely false advertising and they should he held accountable.

    1-800-PetMeds has degenerated SO BADLY during the last 2 years that it's unbelievable that it's the same company I have worked with for nearly 15 years. They constantly fail to deliver heartworm medicine, they struggle with vet verification, they screw up orders -- They are TERRIBLE in 2024! Now, their customer service department gets so many complaints. They make you wait nearly 30 minutes just to speak with an agent! I cannot believe how horrible this company has become in such a short amount of time! Avoid working with this company until they straighten up their business-- Overall Performance Grade given: - F.

    Delivery of Medications on time is very unreliable. My shipments are regular shipped several days after they inform me it will be shipped. Ex: I get an email saying that it will ship 4/15 and doesn't ship until 4/19 then takes about 5 days to arrive. I have a reoccurring Monthly order for 32 days' worth of medicine. I typically run out 3-4 days before it arrives.

    Recently they missed an entire shipment. Even though it was scheduled it didn't actually ship. When I asked what happened they said there was no address or payment info....I had been getting it for months. I was never informed by phone or email regarding the issue, they just never shipped without a single word. My Medications is for my dog's comfort. If you rely on it for your pet's health DO NOT use their services.

    Being a customer for over 10 years, I am wondering what is going on with this company. My dog has Cushing's disease and other issues and I have autoship on 5 different medications. While I was moving houses I actually saw that I was starting to running low on meds, but somehow thought they would arrive. To my surprise checking the website, the autoship was marked OFF, after waiting for 40 min to talk to customer service, they said they would ship it overnight and had no explanation why status was changed. They even charged me the overnight shipping. Today I had the same, autoship did not work for the second time. I am considering to stop and move to another veterinary pharmacy.

    I purchased medication from Petmeds Feb 9 2024. When I order I expressed my concerns about shipment so I paid for 2 day shipment. I called them numerous times, emailed them at two different emails addresses and told them to cancel. I receive medication today march 14 2024. I already purchased from my vet.     I will never order from PetMeds again. The prescription took over three weeks to arrive. Incredibly long wait times for chat and phone were useless since they said it was an issue with the USPS. I finally had my Vet call in the prescription to a local pharmacy.

    1-800-PetMeds over the course of two years I don't think ever shipped anything on time. Worse, most items, foods in particular, are drop shipped and 800petmeds has no control and often doesn't even know what is going on. The final straw is that their internal systems are hopelessly screwed up. They often just skip shipments without notice when they don't have or can't get an item, no notification. The autoship system will not only skip, but also double fill and double charge you. That's the final straw for me. If you dare complain they ignore you and block you on social media. I will never do business with these people again, it's just hopeless.

    I recently got a dog for my daughter and have been purchasing supplies for the new dog. I came acrross the Pet Meds' website and found some items that I have placed orders for over the past week. Today, I went to place another order and found an error code on the website that said to call the 1-800 Pet Meds' number. After calling the number, I was transferred to a supervisor, who said his name was "Jack". He told me that my orders were cancelled and that I was not welcome to purchase items from his company. I inquired as to the reason and he said that I had multiple accounts with PetMeds. I told him that I have never had an account with PetMeds in the past and have only created an account within the last week, since this is the first dog that I have ever owned in my lifetime. However, he continued to say that I had multiple accounts and that he would not do business with me.

    I asked for details about the other accounts that were supposedly mine, as I am concerned that someone has stolen my identity or somehow hacked my account. However, he just said that he will not give me any details and that I need to file a subpoena. I do not understand how if I have an account that it being attributed to me that I can not discuss that account and find out who created it, etc. Something is very wrong about this and I wonder if this company is somehow involved in identity theft or something similar since they stated that they have multiple accounts in their system from my name.

    Our dog passed. My wife called up customer service to tell them to cancel the subscription & that our dog passed. 1.5 months later another shipment came. My wife called them a second time and begged them to stop sending shipment but Instead of canceling all future shipments the customer service rep only suspended shipments.

    I just received the meds and the quantity in the bottle looks very little. So I decided to count it this time because we've been short on meds lately when we ordered and ALWAYS have to go buy some emergency meds from the vet which cost almost $7 each pills! So I counted and I only received 50 pills when I ordered 90. I am short 40 pills!! I am very disappointed and now I'm wondering if all the other months that I ordered is missing because I never counted it and my dog is always short on pills.

    I cancelled an order THREE TIMES this week (April 2023), and the status changed back to active all three times. I emailed them. I texted them. I tried to online chat with them, but no one ever answered. I called them on the phone and talked to an extremely UNhelpful representative, who even called me by a wrong name during the call.

    I requested that the order be cancelled and deleted from my account multiple times. On the phone I was told that even a supervisor can not delete the order from my account. The representative said they can not remove it from the website, which I know is a lie. I promise you, someone can remove a cancelled order from that website.

    I explained to them that I accidentally chose the wrong dog. When I realized my mistake, I cancelled the order and reordered using the correct dog's name. They could see the orders were identical except for the dog name. They called my vet about the wrong dog's order anyway. My vet refused the wrong dog's prescription, of course.

    1800petmeds filled and shipped the correct dog's prescription, but they absolutely refuse to delete the wrong dog's order. I hope they do not continue to harass my vet. They said they really cancelled the order this time, but I no longer trust them. I deleted all the information I could from my account. My "Delete Account" or "Cancel Account" options have mysteriously disappeared! I am unable to delete my email and phone number from the account. I will NOT be using them again. I can not trust them.

    I ordered a bag of dog food on a Thursday advertised as 3 day shipping. Order confirmed. Recieved another email the same day that I needed to verify the order. I called immediately and rep said All is good and it will be shipped tomorrow morning (Fri). I did not receive an email confirming this so I called Sunday morning. It still hasn't been shipped. There's nothing they can do. He told me to go buy a bag of dog food at the store while I wait for it to arrive in 3-5 business days. Dog food is expensive these days, and I only budgeted enough for one bag this pay period. It feels like they didn't even care.

    They compounded my dog's eye med. As per usual, I mailed in the new rx. Called to follow-up and they told me they no longer compound the med and that they sent an email telling me so. One email? I get multiple junk email from 1-800-petmeds daily! They should have sent letters! They promised to fax over the rx to another pharmacy. I have called with new pharmacy fax number 3 times already and still they have not faxed it over. Now I am on hold, waiting to see if they will mail me back my original rx. It's been over 10 minutes waiting. THEY SUCK. AVOID!!!

    Tried a new vet with a telephone consultation. He recommended two prescriptions. I called them in to the customer service department, gave them my information and the vet's information so they could get the rx approved. They took two prescription information that I gave them and sent one to the new vet and the other to the existing vet that we have been using. Did NOt want the existing vet to know that we were trying another vet. 800 Petmeds made sure that the existing vet was aware that we tried a new vet. Will NOT do any future business with 800 Petmeds. They are not trustworthy or competent.

    They were fine in the past, but this time I had 3 vets entered and selected the 2nd one. I recall looking back to be sure the right vet was selected. A few days later, I get a call from the 1st vet, that they haven't recently see my dog. At the web site, it had changed vets. I canceled that order and carefully did another, with the 2nd vet. The next day, it had also changed to the first vet.

    I had customer support change the vet, never telling me it could take several hours to change on the site. The order comment said "Vet says animal needs to be seen", which was never changed. I sent them another note, trying to explain what had happened and that they have a problem (actually, a very simple issue) in their site to fix, and nobody there seemed to have any idea or interest in that. The meds finally arrived, taking over twice as long as expected. I have several dogs and use several vets, and unless this is fixed there's no use returning to them. But, there seems to be no way to find this out.

    Don’t waste your time trying to save a buck with this company. It’s not worth the hassle. I placed an order this morning at 7:45am. Was told a fax would be sent to my vet for approval. I gave them my payment information. Was told I would have my pet's medication by Monday. 4:55pm rolls around and still no confirmation email, nothing to indicate order was placed and on its way. I called back & they said my vet did not reply. My vet never received anything. They also Had all the wrong personal info on me I had updated with them this morning. I told them to cancel my order however I cannot trust they will do that since customer service is sketchy. I placed a “do not pay this merchant” with my bank. Never again. If you choose to order with them good luck.

    Worst place to get medication for your pet. They don't follow Dr's prescriptions, directions and won't request written prescriptions. Verbal confirmation over the phone can leave room for error in properly administering your pet's med.

    I shopped around different online pet pharmacies to always get the best price and every single one (ESPECIALLY the one my vet uses or owns) the price always goes up after the 1st order. The last time I ordered it went up $3 in 1 month!! 1-800-PetMeds has a consistently lower price & don't go up. In March of 2020 I paid $54.91 & this month August 2020 I paid $51.68 (I actually ordered 2 months for a total of $103.36). ln Feb 2020 I paid $83 for 1 month & the last month I ordered from my vet!! I'm not talking a little money...I'm saving $30 A MONTH. It's insane that we just want to care for our beloved pets and the vet wants you to buy from their supplier or them and they make it so difficult for some of us to pay for our pets health. Of course my vet also don't want send a fax prescription which is a 2 hour drive for the round trip to pick up a paper script for 3 months if I am lucky.

    I have read online you have to be very careful about making sure a pharmacy don't sell fake or expired prescriptions. So it scared me...A LOT. I haven't found a lot of negative comments about 1-800-PetMeds which eases my mind. The customer service has always been great picking up immediately & I don't recall ever having to leave a message. They email me what is going on with a script if there is any hint of a problem & I get messages when the script is shipped and most importantly the medication for arthritis works. The order ships the day I order it and comes in 2 days unless of course I order it on a Friday or weekend then takes 3 days. I absolutely recommend them.

    My dog is on Antibiotics for kidney disease, when our vet told us to renew the prescription for another 12 days I ordered from Pet Meds and agreed to the $19.99 overnight charge. Nervous late afternoon the following day I called and was told by a woman that she could not understand why the order was not put through! I had to drive 40 miles each way to our vet to get a couple of tablets to cover until (?) the order is received. They offered to do away with the overnight shipping fee and a $15 credit. When I protested that this offer was insulting. I got an email from them telling me how reliable they are and to give my dog a kiss from them. There is a certain part of my anatomy that they may kiss.

    Trying to play middle man between my Vets office and 1-800-PetMeds simply to order **... I'm in my Vet's office when they received the document from 1800PetMeds, Vets tells me as I'm walking out the office they they've already signed and sent it back. End of business that day and 1800PetMeds still shows my order on hold. Go to call them up to ask why they haven't released the order yet and if I can pay for faster shipping. However after sitting on hold 10 minutes... 15 minutes... nothing. Shot them an email with my order number, questions I had, and my contact information - nothing.

    The fact that you're required to have your dog seen simply to get a script for ** is already silly.. The cost of ** is silly.. Try to save a few bucks and order it online - just dumb on my part. The honest truth is, you can go to Canadapetcare.com and order the same exact Meds WITHOUT a script AND much cheaper AND it comes in the same sealed ** box that I get from my Vet.. I try to refrain from purchasing things illegally like that... but don't make it like running into a brick wall to simply order flea preventative for my dog. Now some company in Canada is going to get my money instead.

When a drug is felt to be unsafe w/o proper medical follow-up or monitoring it's placed on prescription only status. There are a variety of reasons for this; in the case of heartworm preventatives for example, there is potential danger if these meds are given to dogs that are heartworm positive.

    Ordered from the website 3 different times. Each time my order did not arrive. Checked my email to discover my order was on hold due to "payment needing to be verified." I thought there was an issue with my payment method as I used PayPal the first time. Switched to credit card and got the same error/hold status, stating I need to call a 800 number to verify my payment. I've never heard of this practice when ordering items online. This is not a standard practice when ordering items online, it did not sit right with me and made me feel like something was wrong/fishy with the company.     DO NOT USE 1800PETMEDS! You may or may not get your pet's meds. The customer service is rude and doesn't care if your pet is suffering while they continue to not ship the meds your pet needs. The error was with the vet, and when I called 1800 pet meds, they took the time to research the issue and then called the vet to straighten out the problem. As a result, the prescription was filled and shipped the same day I called.     I bought my cat some ** transdermal gel which is used to treat hyperthyroidism. When the packaged arrived it was in a box that had an ice pack in it. Which is nice but but confusing because it's not like it's the middle of summer and I've never heard of transdermal gel needing refrigeration. Then the syringe says oral use only. Transdermal gel is not oral medication, transdermal literally means through the skin. I ended up having to call customer service three different times just for them to confirm that it does go on the ear and to disregard where it says oral use only.

    At first one of them said I didn't order transdermal gel but then quickly realized that was incorrect. What if I hadn't known about transdermal and gave it to my cat orally? I just think these things should be checked more thoroughly and their customer service reps should be able to see this information. Everyone just kept telling me to call my vet even though I had explained that my question was more about their packaging on their product. My first experience with this company was not a good first impression.

    I placed an order online for non-prescription flea medication. A couple of hours later I receive an email that I need to call to verify my information. I use Live Chat to ask what the issue is. I was told it was not a payment issue but I still needed to call in because they needed to verify my information. WHAT?? I have never had to do that when placing an online order with ANY company. I canceled my order and gladly paid a few bucks more to order from Chewy without the hassle. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I will not be returning as a customer.

    I ordered two pet beds from their site two weeks ago. I’ve been calling for the last five days to see where order is. They keep telling me it’s shipping today and we will send you a tracking number. They never ship it or send tracking number. The customer service reps are rude and could care less.     I made overnight order. It never came the next day. It never came the next day. I called. The woman took the extra 19.99 fee I paid for overnight. She said I would receive it today. I did not. I called. It had not even shipped out!!! I was confirmed by email four days ago. Then by a person yesterday that for sure I would receive the item today. After two confirmations, a total fail! I do not trust anything this company says or puts out. How can you? The customer service person kept acting like I should know they were in FL & it was a time thing. Sorry but if you don’t tell the truth & aren’t accurate, how am I supposed to trust your product? And Chewy is next day without paying the 19.99. This company makes you think they are giving you a deal, there was no deal!! I would have paid 30.00 more than at Chewy even though the way they put it it looked like way less. They do a switcher on you when you put in info on product. Nope not trusting this company again to even fill a water bowl.

    Yesterday I ordered Advantage II for both my cats and my dogs. At check out I confirmed with a payment of $97.97 but $131.52 was taken from my bank account. That's $33.55 more than what I confirmed at check out. This is upsetting as I am on a low income. I wouldn't have ordered if the price was $131.52 at check out.

    It took 40 minutes of customer "service" objecting and twisting pricing numbers before a $10 discount was offered as a "one-time courtesy". I wouldn't patronize this Company...I was disgusted. Other companies appear to have much better regular pricing without all the self-serving nonsense of advertised percentages off and "discounts".

    They send me an email for reordering 2 prescriptions. I get a call a week after confirming the order and the pharmacist tells me that I am ordering 1 of them too early! How am I doing it too early when they are the ones sending me the reminder to order again? Then the pharmacist had me count the remaining pills I have. When he finds out I will need more in a week, he questions me about it like I am misusing my 18 year old dog's meds. My dog takes 1 piece of a pill every 8-12 hours (or as needed for pain).

    I have never been treated this way when ordering his medications elsewhere. The man or woman on phone was rude and unhelpful! I have cancelled the order with 1800-PetMeds and will happily get them filled through my vet again. They did not care one bit about losing a customer, nor did they try anything to correct the issue. I DO NOT recommend 1800-PetMeds for elderly animals that require medication to function!!! I will never order with them again for any animal I have due to the way they handled this refill (that they sent me an email saying it was time to order again)!! Terrible customer service!

    I mailed in prescriptions from my vet. It took a month of me calling every week before they said they finally had them. I then placed an order over the telephone for ** and **. They only sent the **. Had to call again and they said they didn't have the scripts for the ** even though all scripts were mailed in the same envelope. They finally found the ** scripts. In total, I must have called them over 10 times just to finally get all of the scripts mailed to me. Using PetcareRx next time (also, PetcareRx prices are cheaper).

    The vet prescribed **. They say, he, "Use this and find where your dog is stable. It may take a few years off her life, yet, you want to make her comfortable." My pitbull was experiencing massive skin issues! In fact, the vet thought it was cancer because it was so bad. My pitbull gained ground on **. Then my pitty named Sady was having breathing issues on ** and I was looking for a more natural healthier alternative.

    After researching? I found Yucca Intensive. I changed her over and it is so much better! She has no side effects and it is every bit, if not more effective than **!!!! Yes! She hates the taste! It works! I blend it in Blue Buffalo canned lamb and potato with less ingredients because I feel some of her issues are allergy related. She loves it in that! Because it is mixed in food? I give her a full dropper full twice a day and it is working with no side effects. She is happy, more energetic and is gaining on her skin issues.     I would give negative stars if possible. I placed an order over the phone for both of my dogs. The woman was friendly and I explained I went to VetCo for their checkup and vaccines. Vets are very expensive and VetCo was a huge savings. However, they are more like a traveling clinic - not an office. I took their receipt, which was all I got, and the prescription is part of that receipt and placed an order with 1800-PetMeds. I need to board my dogs for my daughter's wedding and I need this receipt. I asked if I could send in a copy. After 10 mins on hold and conferring with the pharmacist she said "yes". They took my card card info, gave me a confirmation number and placed my order.

    3 WEEKS LATER I received nothing!!! I called them back and they told me they are NOT placing my order unless I give them the original receipt. I explained that I can't, that I need it because it's all I have! I also told them that when I originally called they said it would be ok to send in what I had. Now it's 3 WEEKS since their heartworm test and I still have no meds for them. I should have been told immediately over the phone that my order was not going to be placed so I could go elsewhere. Instead, they led me to believe it was all ok, took my card card info and left me waiting with an email confirmation number that my order was being placed. This is unacceptable and poor business!! I will never use this company again and will warn against it.

    I just adopted a dog and the Shelter sent me a coupon for 20% discount for Frontline meds. After I was in the 1800-PetMeds' site the coupon was worthless because they were giving me a 30% discount and because of that the smaller discount was denied. After I bought the product I decided to check the same exact med. on the Petsmart site, it was about $4.00 dollars cheaper and with no discount. I went back to the 1800-Petmeds receipt and I realized that they had inflated the price by 30% to then give me a bogus discount of 30%. It is obviously an intentional Scam to lure customers to the site with a coupon that will be denied for another "better" coupon that works but doesn't save you a cent because in the end you're paying more than Petsmart.

    I have a huge problem with this company's email advertising and I won't order again because they make you feel guilted in spending your money by stating "Don't wait until (my dog's name) can't walk" and I'm directed to buy a certain product when my dog doesn't have that problem. Every month I get tons of emails stating it is time to buy flea products with an increased price, a bogus coupon to which you think you're saving but you're not, and a shame me into buying a product because of what may or may not happen down the line. I contacted the agency and all I heard was, "We will looking our advertising," and I got no response re: the coupons.

    They raised their medication prices RIGHT before their “first ever 30% off sale”, so you’re actually getting a 20-22% discount. I purchased from them before with a 25% off discount. When I went to purchase the exact same meds (and same amount) my total with a HIGHER yielding discount was more. Why? Originally they had the price of the meds marked at $57.67. Right before their phony “amazing sale” they raised the price of the meds to $67.11. Their current 30% off everything sale isn’t honest at all. It’s just a weird marketing scam, so the company can dishonestly earn a couple more bucks off their customers. Incredibly shady.

    I wish I would have read these reviews before I ordered through 1800-PetMeds. I received several emails and phone call advising me they did not get approval from my vet yet. I called my vet and they said they approved medication on 3/9 and it is now the 3/12. I called 1800-PetMeds, spoke to two different people, who said no approval from the vet. Someone is not telling the truth.

    I GOT A DAMN CALL AND SAID my order was being held up... again. I called and was told that you had the first fax via a phone call on Friday afternoon and that the order would go out on Monday. I had the vet office fax it in for the second time on Friday before I phoned. They said they had confirmation that it was sent. So pissed off when I found out you had not sent the order as you said. Now you are closed for the time I am addressing this issue again. It is over one week since I placed the order.

    I call this lying or incompetence. Sorry will not work this time. The only way to solve this problem is to overnight the order to me. No excuses, no sorrys, just show me the action of a package in the mail. So, you have a chance to fix your mistake... What will you do?? Action is what I expect... in the form of the overnight product. All I want to hear from you is: that you are sending the package on Wednesday with the name of the carrier and the tracking number. Just so you know, I am posting with ConsumerAffairs and others.

    I have heard a lot about PetMeds and figured they were a legit company. Boy was I wrong. I placed an order for flea control for my dog. So far so good. The next day I received a confirmation that my order was okayed. The very next day I received another email informing me that my Vet refused to authorize the order and they had instructions what to do next (I kept a copy of PetMeds confirmation email). Unknowing to me PetMeds had already taken out the money from my account the instant I ordered it (without confirmation from my vet). Ok, I called my vet to find out why they did not authorize it. They told me that they did not do business with PetMeds because they had caused many problems with other vets including having to fight for their license.

    I then asked my vet what I should do about the money they had already taken out of my account. My vet said that they should not have done that without authorization and to call PetMeds to get this straightened out. I called PetMeds to get this straight. I told them to cancel my order and to put my money back immediately. They told me that it could take up to 48 hours to return my money. That's when I finally snapped. They took my money immediately as I placed the order and they could D*m* well put it back immediately.

    I finally got ahold of a supervisor and he told me (in an offending way) that that was their Policy. WOW, I heard that loud and clear. I Immediately called my attorney (yes, some of us do actually have their own Attorneys) and he advised that I wait for the 48 hours and see if they did actually return the money to my account (he doubted they would. He said to call them back as soon as the 48 hours ended.) He then said, "It will my turn then". If anyone actually reads this my advice would be to RUN not walk but RUN from this company as quick as you can. They are not concerned about you and you and the problems they cause due to them putting a hold on your funds much less the welfare of your pet. Their only concern is their bottom line and nothing else.

    I recently ordered a prescription for Vetmedin for my dog. My vet prescribes a quantity of 50 because that's how the manufacturer packages it. My local Pharmacy was out of stock, so I turned to 1800-PetMeds. It arrived today and I was more than a little surprised to see that the bottle was not in the box it normally comes in. Not a problem, just unexpected. When I opened the bottle, though, I noticed that the seal was broken - the perforated ring was already detached from the bottom of the cap.

    While I'm confident that there is nothing wrong with these pills, this is disturbing, particularly since the manufacturer packages it in exactly the quantity I need, so there's no reason for the Pharmacy to open it. Maybe the open containers are sent to customers who use a coupon? Maybe the manufacturer is known to occasionally overfill by a tablet or to so 1800-PetMeds collects the 'extras' to fill other quantities, as needed? Or maybe I was shorted? (I should probably count the pills.) This is my first experience with 1800-PetMeds. I was hopeful that I had found a source for my dog's meds that is more convenient than my local Pharmacy. After this experience, I'm not sure 1800-PetMeds fits the bill. Hopefully, when it comes time to refill this Rx, it will be back in stock at my local Pharmacy.

    I placed an order for a year worth of Revolution and Credillio. They charged my credit card $353.35. Then decided they didn't want to give me a year's worth. They charged my credit card another $262.00, for 6 months worth of meds, without my permission, and then called me to get permission. I told them to cancel the order and not charge me, because I did not know they had already charged me twice. They told me that my credit card was being denied. It turned out that I was now over the credit limit on my card and the credit card company froze my account. The woman put me on hold and then told me she had talked to the pharmacist and the pharmacist would make it so I could get all the year's worth of meds that they sold me in the first place. I was transferred to Mario and Mario couldn't get my card to go through either.

    I called the credit card company and found out about the extra $262.00 that put me over the limit and locked my card. They unlocked my card and I disputed the $262.00 charge. I called 1800-PetMeds, TALKED TO Antwanette. I told her not to charge my card, to remove the $262.00 charge. She said she would have to talk with a specialist and they would fix the problem. Several hours later I checked and they had removed the $353.35 charge that was on there to pay for my pets meds. I called the credit card company and ask what happened. They told me that 1800-PetMeds had removed that charge. Had still charged me the $262.00 dollars for the 6 months supply that I did not order. And 1800-PetMeds had charged my card $353.35 dollars another 8 times, for a total of $2,826.80. I had to dispute all of these charges. I was upset.

    I called 1800-PetMeds, they were closed. I left a nasty message telling them to cancel my order, remove the charges, and remove me from their system. The following day, I noticed there was a charge on my credit card for $353.35. I called the credit card company and found that 1800-PetMeds had charged my card the $353.35, 4 more times for another total of $1,413.40. I was very upset. I called 1800-PetMeds, explaining everything, canceled my order again and told them I never wanted to do business with them again. They removed the latest charge of $353.35 and I thought it was over. The next day I missed a call from 1800-PetMeds (no message) and I missed a second call from one of their administrators who had finally listened to my detailed message. She offered me a $75.00 discount and free next day air if I would allow her to fix the problems and keep me as a customer.

    I talked to my wife. Money is tight (which is why we went with this company in the beginning). We decided we could use the discount so I was to call her that day and talk to her about it. However, I returned their first call first. The number went straight to Mario. He thanked me for calling back and told me there was a problem with my card, it was being denied, but he was going to help by refreshing, cleaning everything up and then run my card again. I said, "The Hell you will." I explained the problems I had with his company, told him to cancel my order (now for the third time) and I wanted my card removed from their system. He said he would. I checked my banking and found that 1800-PetMeds had charged my card again, for $353.35. I was not happy. I returned the other call from them (different number for an woman named Amy) and talked to another woman. I asked to be transferred and she couldn't do that. She wanted to help me.

    I asked for a supervisor and got one. The supervisor tried to help me, but couldn't and finally transferred me to Amy. I explained everything to Amy and told her I wanted to be removed from their system as though I had never ordered. I wanted to be purged from their system. She told me she did that. And I would not be charged again. I told her I wanted the latest charge removed, and they needed to fix all the other charges they made (some were denied, some were pending). She said she did that. I told her I was tempted to take her offer and then found that they messed it up again. I told her I wouldn't accept anything from them if it were free, because I did not feel they could be trusted to give my pets the correct meds if they couldn't run a register properly. I then had to call my credit card company and dispute that charge.

    I now, just checked my bank again and found that 1800-PetMeds put another charge through to my credit card for $353.35!!! How is this possible if I have been purged from their system??? Now I have to call the credit card company and dispute this charge (pain in my **) and call 1800-PetMeds tomorrow morning. in total, I have directed 1800-PetMeds to cancel my order and remove me from their system 5 times. Tomorrow will be the 6th. And they have charged me a total of $4,855.55 for a $353.35 order.

    I pay all my bills and my groceries, etc. with this card. They are tying up my money and causing me financial trouble! They are causing me to not be able to pay bills on time!!!! And, after I have gone through all of these people, supervisors and administrators as well; I have to believe it is either deliberate or everyone at that company are inept morons!!! My advice to anyone who reads this is, "Run from this company as fast and far as you can!!!" Do not do business with them if you value your hard earned money!!!

    I recently TRIED to place an order for a number of prescription medications. Received multiple emails from 1-800-PET-MEDS stating my order was on hold as my vet had not faxed them back. After confirming with my vet that they had faxed in the prescription twice previously, I asked them to please try again. Third time was the charm. Or so I thought. Then I started receiving emails from 1-800-PET-MEDS that there was a problem with my credit card. Funny thing is, my credit card company, when called, confirmed that multiple (more than one) temporary authorizations had been placed on my card by 1-800-PET-MEDS and all within an hour's time.

    Contacted 1-800-PET-MEDS and they offered to talk to my credit card company on my behalf if I would give them my information. No thank you. Cancelled order with 1-800-PET-MEDS and immediately turned around and placed the order for meds elsewhere. The alternate supplier had no trouble whatsoever with my credit card company. Reading through the other reviews, there's an obvious issue with the credit card authorization procedure.

    Placed an order for Revolution in September that was delayed due to Rx needed to be mailed in. Called in to follow up since a hold had been placed on my funds for the order already. Someone called me to tell me the Rx for was a different size and they changed the order to coincide with the Rx weight and would ship it that day. Another hold for this new amount was placed on my account and still no order - after they called me!

    I call back in and speak with a nice young lady who was great; she released the order to ship and all was OK. NOT, this then put a 3rd hold on my CC for the same order. Called back in and this person tells me they need my bankcard number to cancel the holds - wait... what... in 2018 you want my bank card # - yeah NOT doing that either. Asked him to speak with his supervisor and he puts a Steve ** on the phone and his calm demeanor and kind words reassured me my order would arrive via FedEx the next day and I would not be charged again!

    I did not receive the order the next day and my account didn't show it was delivered. Called in again, got Sarah who was on the defensive as soon as I gave her my order # and when I asked to speak to a supervisor that was over her supervisor there were none and any other managers were all in a meeting. I'm done at this point and simply want my money back and will never utilize this service again and I suggest anyone else considering it - try someplace else! It is my hope my funds are refunded and the hold for a shipment that never went out for the same order will drop off immediately.

    I ordered ** from PetMeds after my dogs would not eat the generic heartworm medicine I'd gotten from PetMeds last time. They wrote and said I needed a prescription from my vet; when I wrote back and said there should still be enough on the last prescription, and if not, to spread the order out among my other 2 dogs, they did! In less than an hour. I hated the idea of going back to my vet, or losing the discount for 12-per-box and getting the 6-per-box instead so they could spread the prescription out. They gave me the 12-per-box price and didn't have to. I was having a bummer of a day and this really helped. So far I have found them very good.

    1800-PetMeds stole $98 and claimed it was a pre authorization but it was a full charge. They claimed they needed my CC information again to call my bank - since they do not see the charge. I do not feel comfortable giving out my card information to a company who has already fraudulently used it. I am now fighting the charge on my end. Do not use this company. Horrible customer service and do not have good business/accounting practices in place.

    I placed an order for pain medication for my dog through 1-800-PetMeds on the 9th of May. I received an email that I would need to provide a paper copy of the prescription from my Vet or my Vet could fax over a copy of the prescription. I mailed a paper copy of the prescription on the 11th of May. I contacted PetMeds by phone on the 18th and I was told that they will upgrade to overnight for free when they fill the prescription. That should've been my first clue that something is wrong with this company. I didn't even ask for the upgrade.

    Next contact was by email. Again they offered to upgrade shipping for free, I didn't ask for that again. I sent an email to them about how disappointed I was in their service and they canceled my order. It's pretty clear my experience and prior reviews that if you mail in a prescription you have a 80% chance it's not going to get filled. Something is very wrong with how this company processes their incoming mail. I will never refer anyone to this company. The one star is fair because their customer service agents are kind and helpful.

    These people, located in Del Ray Florida say state law does not allow faxed or phone called scripts from the doctor. The other two vendors from Florida do both. When you send your script in the mail it takes them 2 weeks to process it. I cancelled my order, called another vendor and the new order arrived three days before PetMeds even got my order. Oh and they charged me for it even though I had cancelled the order a whole week before.

    This used to be a good place to get dog medications, but NOT anymore. Too much conflicting info. I placed an order and there's no record of it...first they say there is no order, then it was cancelled like I requested, but I was charged TWICE. I was told there were no more refills, then someone else said I had one left. They also charge separately for items in the same order! You pay extra for overnight or priority and they send first class? Previously, I mailed them a script...they couldn't find it, claim they didn't get it, etc. I have PROOF that they did.     I made a purchase of a 3 month supply of their "generic" cat flea treatment for cats, and it cost a total of $32.61. Purchase options to pay included various debit/credit cards, along with "PayPal" & "PayPal Credit" as well. I chose to pay by "PayPal Credit". I have excellent credit, and have made many purchases by using "PayPal Credit". I was sent an email within a few minutes after my purchase asking me to call their customer service number. I called them and they informed me that the purchase was denied. They said they needed the security number on the back of my card. Well... "PayPal Credit" does not have a card (for online purchases). I have used "PayPal Credit" for a few years now and NEVER had an issue.

    I tried to explain to "Gary" in customer service with 1-800-PetMeds, that "PayPal Credit" doesn't have a card (therefore no security code). He asked for my address, which I told him. He also asked for the address I was sending my purchase to, and I gave him my married grown daughter's address. He still said he couldn't allow my purchase. I finally hung up! I have used this way of paying for merchandise for years, and sending my merchandise I purchased to family members with NO PROBLEM at all.

    I tried to tell them in several emails to customer service, and even provided a copy of the email from "PayPal Credit" accepting my purchase to 1-800-PetMeds. One of my many emails to them, I did let them know that I would make a complaint about this and no longer use them (which I have used them for years). They did send a $5.00 coupon to go toward a future purchase, which definitely will NOT happen!!! I have to hand it to them, they didn't give up making sure to make me feel like a criminal or a person with financial issues.

    To make a long story short, I went online this morning and ended up finding another competitor to 1-800-PetMeds, and actually bought the "name brand" product with free shipping for a total of $22.40 (a whole $10 savings). I am not happy with 1-800-PetMeds, and will not use or refer anyone I know to purchase from them. On the other hand, I also believe that sometimes things happen for a reason, and this one definitely turned out to be MUCH better since I saved $10 and will receive the "name brand" instead of "generic" I was going to receive for $10 more from 1-800-PetMeds.

    Please learn from my experience and shop around before making a purchase from 1-800-PetMeds. I have attached my receipt from 1-800-PetMeds, and my receipt showing my purchase was accepted from "PayPal Credit". I also sent 1-800-PetMeds a final email letting them know that I ended up finding another competitor, plus saved money and free shipping with no problems whatsoever with my purchase. The only thing 1-800-PetMeds offered me was a $5.00 coupon to "come back"... lol what a joke! BYE FELICIA!!!

    I placed an order with 1800-PetMeds and received an order confirmation email stating I would receive another email when the order was shipped. After waiting 1 week and the payment taken out of my account I emailed the company as to why my order hadn't been shipped and the company responded with a request for my CVV # again over the phone. After refusing to give them this information the representative said they were cancelling my order. I immediately contacted my banking company and they confirmed the money had been received by 1800-PetMeds so they opened up an investigation.

    I was instructed to forward the order confirmation email to 1800-PetMeds and they responded with a generic response. I also sent an email requesting a refund and informing them an investigation has been processed. I am not surprised that again I received an email that the money has not been removed from my account. As stated above I have a statement from the bank this money was removed and again I was instructed by the bank there is absolutely no reason to need my CVV # again and especially over the phone. I think I have been scammed and so glad I didn't give them the opportunity to take more than $70 from me! Hopefully something comes out of this investigation and this scam is stopped!

    1800-PetMeds Makes Me Mad. I became a customer in June of 2017 with my first order placed. I used the debit/credit card I always use in placing the order. I have lived at my current address for over 7 years. I received an email the next day to "call as there is a problem with your order." I called. They asked me to "verify the address on the credit card" and to "verify the CCV code on my card." I did so with a call.

    Two weeks later I ordered the same medication (Purina FortiFlora) for my dog; same card, same way. I got that email again the next day saying "there was a problem with my order..." I called the next day (annoyed) and they (she) "was/were very sorry" and it would be straightened out right away. She opined that "maybe it flagged me because I had moved recently?" Nope.

    10 days later I called them because my order still hadn't showed up. The operator I reached when I was connected said "oh, I see there is a problem" and would I "verify the billing address on the card and the CCV please?" Arrrggghh! I tried to stay calm and explain that I had just called and that the last operator said it was handled; though obviously not. This operator said she would handle it and did promise to send my order next day for no additional fees. That part is great; however what's up with this verification and verification again stuff? There's some kind of bug in their system and it was exacerbated by the operator before the last one; not following through with what she had promised.This is their last chance with me. If that medication isn't in my hands before Wednesday evening July 12th; that's the last time I'll go through the hassle of this company.

    I'm a new dog owner and decided to use 1-800-PetMeds for monthly flea/tick and heartworm meds. First off, I tried to order one med for one weight and the other for another weight. A popup appeared to confirm, which I appreciated but I ordered the way I did since I had a free sample from vet on one med and have a fast growing breed. Well, that stopped me from being able to place order. After emailing company about problem they said to call. I called and was informed that these were prescriptions (when did life get so difficult???) so rep told me about a generic available with exact same ingredients, ok great so I place the order.

    I go online 3 days later to check status of order to find out one product was shipped and the other product was on hold and said I had to contact the vet. DON’T YOU THINK AN EMAIL OR SOMETHING TELLING TO CONTACT THE VET WOULD BE NICE??? Anyway, I cancelled that product and will spend the extra money and buy it from the local vet. I always leave reviews pointing out positives, positives/negatives, and negatives, I can count on one hand how many of my reviews have been totally negative with nothing positive to say but this is one of those times. I researched all online pet sites and only felt comfortable ordering from 1-800-PetMeds. Well, if this the best that is being offered they can keep it. For those reading this I would recommend buying local ESPECIALLY if you’re ordering meds that might mean the well-being of your loved one.     Don't order from 1800-PetMeds! Honestly, my overall experience with 1800-PetMeds was fine. The prescriptions came in on time. I went to order flea meds again and my vet told me that they no longer fill with 1800-PetMeds because some of their medications aren't the real medicine, they're meds off the black market and have been making pets sick. Also, since they can't guarantee the authenticity of the medications or that the meds are from licensed veterinarians, they don't come with a guarantee. So if your pet got sick they won't do anything about it like provide treatment. I definitely won't order from them again. Since my vet no longer approves prescriptions from 1800-PetMeds they've agreed to price match. I really hope people stop ordering from them because why chance your pet getting sick? Hopefully officials will look into 1800-PetMeds and get exposed proof.

    I have been ordering from 1800-PetMeds for about two years now. I have never had any problems with them faxing information to my vet for prescriptions - I have however had trouble getting my vet to fax back the RX in a timely manner, this always seems to be an issue. The last time I ordered my vet was taking forever to fax back the RX and my dog needs his heartworm by a certain time of the month. The vet kept telling me they would fax back the RX every time I called them and still hadn't. I spoke on the live chat with someone from 1800-PetMeds and he upgraded me to 2-Day shipping at no extra charge so that my dog would get his heartworm medication on time, even though it was no fault of theirs, and my veterinarian was the one giving me a hard time faxing the information back.

    I appreciate that this website cares more about my dogs than my vet seems to! I thank them very much for assuring he gets his medication on time to stay healthy, and I will always shop through this site. This company acts like I am trying to get a tranquilizer and is going through EXTREME measures for a prescription.     We ordered meds for an older pet on recommendation of our vet. We ordered antibiotic for a bad infection, rash service 2-day delivery. 5 days, the meds are still not delivered. At first we had a decent caring agent trying to help. On the next day, after the failed service still, we run into a callous agent and unprofessional manager, who actually interrupted us and yelled. No compensation for suffering pet, major inconvenience and disruption to my family life. Refund delivery only after we pressed. Complete failure of customer service. Do not order from them! Unethical, unprofessional, money grubbers!

    For some reason that was unclear to both myself and the customer service rep my order had been returned to sender. When I called to get this rectified the rep-Precious-was extremely attentive and empathetic. She resent the package and added some more details in order to ensure the package would be delivered this time. She was also efficient and the whole process from dialing to getting the package resent took less than 3 minutes. I have ordered from this company many times and always had great service.     I have been using 1800-PetMeds for about a year now and was fairly satisfied with their service but they must have some sort of odd contract with Federal Express. I live in Virginia and for some reason it is taking approximately 2 weeks for me to get my order. When I looked at the tracking information it is absolutely crazy, it was actually in Virginia in about 2 days but then went to Maryland, then to WV and from there who knows. When I contacted 1800-PetMeds they said it will still be 4 more days before I would get the shipment. There is no way it should take this long to ship, I have to wonder if this isn't a gimmick to get you to pay for overnight shipping. This will be my last order from them, I order a lot of things online and it only takes this long if something is out of stock. If I were in charge there I would be questioning the service they are receiving from Federal Express, UPS seems to provide much better service.

    I ordered ** from PetMeds for my kittens ear mites! We have two other dogs and realized a couple days after we got him that he needed the medication for the ear mites. Instead of paying an arm and a leg to go to the vets, I decided to try this website instead. I was not disappointed, it shipped out the next day and it took 8 business days to receive it here in Canada! Not to mention they included temptations treats and a dog bone in the package!     We have used PetMeds several times over the years. Most recently I ordered ** for my dog, ** for my cat, for a total of $157 (with a coupon).     I would give them zero stars if I could. What a horrible company. I placed an order online for a prescription medication. The next day I received a confirmation stating that they were waiting for our vet to fax the prescription to them. So far so good. Get a call back from the vet the same day confirming they have faxed the prescription. Two days go by: no further feedback from PetMeds. So I log into the website to check the order status. It is shown as CANCELLED. WTF? I call the 800 number. Agent is unable to even locate the order number, cannot see it in the account order history. How's that possible? Puts me on hold for several minutes. "Oh, we found the order. The product is out of stock. You shouldn't have been able to order it in the first place. And sometimes "we" can't see what happens at the pharmacy after orders are sent to them."

    So those clowns just cancel orders if they can't fulfill them. And customer gets no notice. Really??? I ask her, "Okay, so where do we go from here?" Back on hold for several minutes. Agent comes back, "Sorry, we have no idea when the product will be back in stock. Do you want us to transfer the order to another pharmacy?" Oh, yeah, right! I'm going to trust YOU guys to take care of this for me? No ** thanks. Meanwhile, we still don't have the meds for our pet. They may be okay for tick bands or something, but I'm never going to trust these yahoos with anything important again.

    I recently ordered ** from 1-800-PetMeds and later found the same item to cost significantly less at Valley Vet. In response to a satisfaction survey from 1-800-PetMeds I commented that although all other factors were equal, I could not recommend PetMeds due to the lower cost of the medication at Valley Vet. I soon received an email explaining that PetMeds would match prices and a second email refunding the difference. I am astonished. I never expected a response let alone a refund.     I ordered flea medication for my cats on Sunday. I used a coupon code that was directly on the website for 15% off and paid $13 to have my items express shipped. My items never shipped the following business day, Monday, so I contacted customer service on Tuesday regarding this. I was guaranteed that I would get the medication the following day, Wednesday. I was told that immediately after the items shipped I would get confirmation. I did not. The items still did not ship so I called once again and was told my order had been placed on hold because of the coupon I used. I canceled my order and now have to wait another 2 days for the funds to be available.     Although my 15 lb. Tibetan Spaniel has been receiving her monthly dose of Heartgard Plus chewables, she still got hookworm which Heartgard Plus is supposed to prevent. My veterinarian mentioned that incorrect storage temperature can render medication ineffective and that 1-800-PetMeds does not deal directly with the pharmaceutical companies, that "middlemen" involvement lead to improper drug storage and ineffective medications. I submitted my veterinary bills totaling close to $200 for fecal exam, vet visit and treatment medication to 1-800-PetMeds and have received nothing. I will never trust this company again in the treatment of my pets.

    I received a hard copy prescription from my vet, which I mailed to 1800petmeds' pharmacy. I saw my order status change from waiting for prescription to pending customer approval. I emailed to ask what I needed to do to approve the order. They said they don't accept faxed prescriptions. I don't own a fax machine. I haven't sent a fax in years. I told them that if they have a prescription, then it is the one I mailed since I never faxed anything. They say they have a prescription, but claim I faxed it. It's been the most asinine argument I have ever had in my life. I will never use them again.

    I attempted to place an online order with 1800-PetMeds and my credit card was declined with a notice to contact the issuer of the card, which I did. I was told by my bank that there was plenty of available credit on the credit card and the problem was not on my end. I then called 1800-PetMeds to place the order and again my credit card was declined, with no explanation. I moved on and placed my order with Petshed, using the same card, and the meds are on the way.

    I had originally ordered Advantage for cats from www.canadavet.com. After about 2 months and no response from customer service as to where my product was, I gave up and tried 1800-PetMeds. I was trying to save myself an expensive vet bill and get the products at about 1/2 the cost. I gave up waiting on both and made the vet appointment and ironically received my order from 1800-PetMeds the same day. I brought the Advantage to the vet, and he believed that it was an authentic product and not a counterfeit. The order only took about 3 weeks to receive (and considering it went through customs, that's pretty reasonable). I still haven't received my order from CanadaVet.com. In the end, I still saved money as I didn't have to purchase more Advantage from the vet, and my cat got a check up and complimentary nail trim.

    I just called to ZOETIS. It's the manufacturer for the **. The ** is very common heart worms and flea preventative medication prescribed by veterinarians for dogs and cats. The representative from ZOETIS told me that they sell the ** to veterinarians only!! And they do not sell the ** to any websites and 1800 petmeds particularly!!! People run away from this site and other like this one. Go to your vet. hospital but first call to manufacturer and ask if they supply meds to your vet. hospital and ask stuff at your vet. hospital where they take your meds from.

    1800-PetMeds Has Again Failed When it Comes to Customer Support. We attempted to purchase OnLine with 1800-PetMeds, apparently their website deducted our credit card twice (Double Charged). We phoned the toll free number immediately and our experience with the PetMeds employee was a negative, with no ensured feeling that our payment was Voided. We soon called back to ensure that our credit card payment was cancelled. We escalated the secondary call to a manager whom named herself *Kim*. Her tone was inflammatory, rude, non-engaging and overall unacceptable. We do not plan on patronizing 1800-PetMeds again!

    Updated on 04/06/2016: Today is Day #4 as--1800 PetMeds Has charged our credit card 3 separate charges. We have asked for a Credit Memo Multiply as we did not approve the (3) independent credit card charges. Today is Wed April-6-2016, and we still have not received a credit memo from PetMeds. PetMeds has only offered us $5.00 Discount on a future purchase to attempt to make us happy. As they decline to remove the false charges from our card. PetMeds has Not submitted an Order Number.

    I have purchased dental hygiene products in the past for my three dogs and one cat. I get discount coupons via email that never work. Yesterday I tried to use the stack5 coupon again that was recently sent to me and it didn't work (again). Instead of just submitting my order I reviewed the coupon and saw that it had no expiration date, only said expires soon. To me it appeared they were hooking me in and then changing the deal, willing to risk that I would submit the order.     I don't even know where to begin, but long story short, this company received my money from the get go. They butchered my address and my email address, and after 10 days of no medication, I call to find out what's going on. I was then told my vet has to approve this prescription and that I had to get that info from my vet myself and mail it THEN they could proceed with the order. Never had a clue I had to do anything myself. Was never told that. Also never got an email for confirmation of my order or an email about any issues.

    They claimed they sent one but to an incorrect email address. Funny part is the fact I started getting promotional emails the day I made the purchase. I sent an email to Customer Service explaining every little detail, and all they would offer was free shipping... Free shipping? A $4 rebate offer? What a joke. I immediately asked for a full refund and to cancel my order. This company is completely careless about customers. I've never felt so under appreciated and transparent from a company. There was no regard for trying to keep my business. I was of no value to them. Do yourself a favor. Do not use this company.

    Being able to purchase pills for my incontinent pup has been a life-saver for my carpet, blankets, and sanity. My only problem is the shipping takes way too long. Every time I order the pills two-three weeks early, they still don't arrive until I'm all out and washing all my blankets again. It's rather frustrating and I really wish they had a faster shipping method that didn't cost an arm and a leg. I am already spending about $50 a month just to keep my dog continent and I will be purchasing these pills for the next 10 years (at least). So yes, a faster shipping method would be a life-saver.

    I have been dealing with 1800-PetMeds for a number of years now. I don't know why someone would complain that a certain product that didn't work and act like it was 1800-PetMeds' fault or complain about shipping. Things just happen. Besides why wait until you only have few days left? Think ahead. I have never had an issue with getting the flea pills I needed for my 3 lovely fuzzy friends. Even when they were not able to get a hold of my vet they didn't want me to go without, they had their vet approve the order as they have had it approved many times before from my own vet. How awesome is that? It only took them about a week to deliver the order and I live in Canada. You save so much money with this company, how can anyone complain about it?

    I ordered flee and tick medication for my Yorkie. After I received my confirmation and payment was extracted from my PayPal account, I received another email that they could not fill the order because I needed to get my dog checked for heartworm and give proof to PetMeds that that was done. I did that and sent a copy of the vets invoice that the heartworm test was complete and there was no indication of heartworm. I received an email from PetMeds that they received everything they need and will be sending the medication and that they would reduce my order by $10 for the inconvenience. Over 3 weeks has gone by with no medication and no indication that they are sending anything or refunding me for not getting any medication.

    I am retired and on a fixed income so I decided to try to save some money by using 1800-PetMeds. I got a prescription from my vet for my 20-year old cat. I was easily able to use the PetMeds online order system to order the medicine. I even paid $19.99 for overnight shipping as that was required for this refrigerated medication. I was a bit confused when it asked if I was mailing the prescription. I was not, so I answered no. I then finished and paid for the order. I called to find out what they meant by "mail the prescription." I was told they could not send out any medications unless verified by the vet. My vet has a policy of not verifying anything over the phone or fax. I then took the prescription to the post office and paid for priority mailing.

    This was on Wednesday. It is now the following Tuesday and I just called Petmeds to see where my meds were. I was told they just got the prescription on Monday and since it is a compound medication it will take a while to process. I asked how long and could not get an answer. I am unable to understand why a competent pharmacist cannot give a timeframe for a medication. I guess they have no competent pharmacists.

    While on the phone with customer service, I could hear other customer service reps apologizing to customers. This tells me this is a regular occurrence. I should have checked reviews on this company first. I have cancelled the order and am copying this message to everyone on my mailing list so they are not taken by this company. Please do not trust your beloved pets to this "less expensive" online service. I guess you get what you pay for! Lesson learned!

    I purchased three months of flea treatment (Advantage II) for five dogs and four cats. It's my first time purchasing this product from Petmeds and from Petmeds at all. This product did not work for a single one of my animals. They have never stopped scratching and the house is full of fleas now. I had to give my dogs flea baths to hold them over until I can get some Advantage from the vet. Then I will see what to do with the rest of the Advantage products I purchased from Petmeds.

    Every vet I've seen in town has warned me about Petmeds and their tendency to substitute the real thing with other substances but I really thought Petmeds was better than that. But it's the first time in ten years that I have ever had trouble with the product and resulting major flea household infestation after using the product. As I sit here typing, I have fleas crawling all over me. The animals are miserable. They also had the order all mixed up and caused problems with the bank. This is not an honorable company! What a waste of my money - esp. for someone who is barely getting by and struggling to keep my animals and home happy!

    I called PetMeds to order a prescription on Monday morning. I told the woman my dog had enough pills for 3 days and was told I would receive the meds within 1 day of shipment since I lived close to their warehouse. I was also told I would receive an email when they shipped. I never did receive the email. I called them back on Thurs to see what happened to my order since I don't have any meds left and my dog needs her med. I was told they were going out that day via next day delivery.

    I didn't receive them so I called again on Friday and was told they are in the process of shipping but wouldn't receive them until Monday. This woman said she would make a special order to ship out overnight for Saturday delivery. It is Sat evening and no meds. I called PetMeds again & was told there was no special order. My order was still showing Monday delivery. I am so disappointed. Makes no difference how discounting cost if you can't depend on the delivery. Of all the online sites I buy from, this is the worst!!!

    I sent my cat's insulin prescription priority mail on a Monday. I tracked the package and it was shown as delivered by Wednesday morning. I called later to verify it was received, they claimed they didn't have it. I told them I have proof it was delivered, and after several minutes of being hold they found it. I called later to make sure it was going to be shipped Wednesday night for Thursday delivery. Of course they couldn't confirm that. I called back Thursday morning, they again said they didn't receive the prescription, and again was put on hold. I demanded to be refunded the $19.99 shipping, which they did. However, I never received an email stating the insulin has shipped.

    I called this morning, Friday, and the same run around as the previous two days, with a promise it would be going out today. Several hours later I call back as I haven't received a shipping email and there isn't a tracking number on my order. This woman tells me there is no way to know if it'll ship today or not, and she can't check until 3 pm ET if it went out?!!! Not having my cat on his insulin for FULL WEEK is detrimental to his health. This place sucks and this is my last time dealing with them. I still don't know when I'll be receiving my insulin, today or possibly in two days, on Sunday!

    First time ordering from 1800-PetMeds, I get a confirmation email and paid for priority shipping since everything takes longer to get to Hawaii. I wait and check the mail daily... 6 days later still nothing. The original confirmation email stated that I would receive shipping confirmation and tracking which I never did. So I emailed them to inquire and they claim that they need to confirm my CCV and billing address and they also will not ship to anywhere but the billing address. It's 2015.     Purchased a bottle of Zymox Otic for my dog's ear infection, as recommended by the vet. The last bottle I used worked well and was purchased directly from the vet. This time, I figured I would save money by purchasing the same product from 1800-Petmeds. What a mistake! It did not work at all and actually made my dog scratch his ears more. I have read that this company has been cited for selling fake products from Mexico and this is obviously true in this case. When I contacted customer service, I received the following canned response:

    "We hope this e-mail finds you and your furry pals doing well today. We are very sorry that you had to contact us. We were advising you to contact your vet to find out what other product can be used since that is the only over the counter ear infection medication and we cannot recommend anything else since they are prescription. Please feel free to contact us if you require further assistance with your account. We look forward to helping you and your furry pals again. Please give them a big hug for us."

    1st of all, on Tuesday, I asked for expedited shipping via 2nd day FedEx. Was told it would arrive on Friday. Called on Saturday and was told that it would not arrive until Monday. 2nd of all, I placed the order on the previous Saturday. The prescription had 2 refills on it. On Monday, they let me know that they were "waiting for confirmation" from my vet. Why did they have to wait, when he already okayed refills? This ate up valuable shipping time. They refunded my extra shipping charges, but how does that help my pet?

    I am furious because this medication should not be stopped... it can cause dangerous withdrawal symptoms (it is an anticonvulsant that is being used for long term pain relief). Now my dog may have a bad reaction AND she may experience more pain while she readjusts to the medication. I am really angry and sad for my dog.

    I order Seresto for my 6 dogs on 3/23/15 using my AE card. After three days I email them asking “where is my order”, they claim that they need to verify my address and the cc code for all new customers. After 5 days I email them again and their answer is the same. Today after one week I email them again and now they said I need to call them to verify my information before my shipment can be made. Why did they not call me or email me on the day I place my order that I need to confirm my cc information? I immediately call them and provide all information and up to now, I still don't know when my order will be ship. If they don't ship it by 3/31 which is 9 days after I place my order I will cancel my order and never order anything from them forever.     I ordered, I paid with paypal, I received an email confirming my order from 1800 petmeds and paypal. I paid for priority shipping (3-5 days). I waited 9 days before calling (I never should have given them extra time). I was told they did get my order and charge my paypal but they never shipped! I asked why, they said because I moved 2 months ago. WHAT! I changed my address, I have received several things here - all paid for with paypal. Why do you care if I moved? "Well we can't ship the 1st order to a new address." WHAT! That makes no sense and why did you send an email telling me my order was CONFIRMED? Why did you take my money? Why would you not email or call me telling me you didn't ship it? "Well we need your email address." WHAT?     You can take my money, you can tell me my order is confirmed (included was my address) and you can send me a coupon but you can't send me what I paid for or tell me that you're not going to give me what I paid for! I moved 2 months ago, all have been notified - why would you care or was it just an excuse? Now I have waited 9 days to give my poor dogs their meds that are not on the way so I have to find them someplace else and I have to wait to get my money back for an item they never intended to send me!

    On Friday morning I ordered some Tramadol for my dog Chaka-Tu. I talked to a representative at 1800 PetMeds, and they said they would fax my vet and ask for a prescription. When I didn't hear anything more, I called 1800 PetMeds on Sat. morning and was told that a fax had been sent but no answer had been received. They said they would ask the Pharmacy section to send another fax. Still nothing. Subsequently, I called my vet and they said no faxes had been received. After about an hour on the phone first with my vet, then with the 1800 representative, and finally with both at the same time, the issue was finally resolved on Saturday afternoon, however, 1800 PetMeds said my order would not be shipped out until the following Monday. I sent the following e-mail to 1800 customer service questioning their timing and follow up with prescription orders. If the representative at 1800 PetMeds is not sending the fax themselves, how do they even know the Pharmacy section has sent it? Is there a breakdown in communication between the 1800 PetMeds representative and the Pharmacy section?

    Their response was as follows: On controlled substance like Tramadol, as you know we need driver license and date of birth, per FDA regulations. Regarding communication, first fax is done usually within an hour after order is placed. If not response, second fax is sent out 24 hrs. later. If like in this case a customer calls, a manual 2nd fax can be done and is notated in the order screen in our main frame.

    In other words they don't even send a follow up fax for 24 hours and apparently don't make any attempt at personal contact either with the vet or the person ordering the medication. I don't get any sense of urgency on the part of 1800 PetMeds, and will not be ordering from them again.

    I will never do business with 1800PetMeds again. I ordered heartworm meds for my dog and sent them a scanned copy of the RX, which I picked up from my vet. PetMeds informed me they could not accept that and that they would need it faxed directly from the vet, which they would contact. Shortly after (the same day) they told me they had not heard from the vet and needed me to call and have them fax over the RX. They could not have tried very hard as it had only been a few hours since I placed the order.

    I called and had the vet fax over the RX as requested by PetMeds and I followed up with another email to PetMeds to let them know. They responded telling me that was not sufficient and they needed a specific form to be completed by the vet. At this point I responded that “I have provided the RX, and then per your request had the vet fax it directly to you. Now after time and aggravation, you tell me it is not acceptable and you need it send with a specific form? That should have been provided when YOU (PetMeds) asked me to have the fax the RX, however it was never mentioned.” The level of incompetence is completely ridiculous. I have better things to with my time than jump through all these hoops because they don’t have their act together and every time you communicate with them it is someone else who does not know what is going on and is not capable of reading the email thread.

    I emailed PetMeds back explaining my dissatisfaction and told them if they could not use either the scanned RX I sent or the faxed RX from the vet then just refund my money. The response I received next was that they never received an RX in the mail... The mail? What are they talking about? I never said anything about mail. PetMeds is completely incompetent, and cannot fill orders and are completely disorganized. The customer service is pure incompetence. I will never do business with them again and would deter anyone else from dealing with them either.

    My large dog was prescribed Novox for arthritis. I was worried that paying $90/month would be hard on my budget. I learned that I could get the same product through 1800petmeds for $58, so I ordered from them. I had previously asked at my vet if they were OK with doing this, and was told that my main vet would do it, but some of the fill-in vets were hesitant.

    The 1800PetMeds folks contacted me via e-mail saying they were having trouble getting the script from my vet. I called them, and we verified the fax number for my veterinary hospital. I was VERY impressed by this customer service call. As soon as I said my name and what I was calling about, they immediately knew my issue. I had my order number ready but didn't need it. The rep asked me how much medicine I had left, and was really concerned about keeping my dog on his medicine. She was efficient and polite. She asked how my dog was doing on this medicine. I have no idea if she cared about me or my dog- but she gave the impression that she did.

    Later that night I got an e-mail that the medicine had shipped. We received the medicine today, along with a big milk bone treat for my dog. I have only good things to say about this company. I plan to use them as my main source for pet medication in the future.Note: Do make sure your vet is OK about faxing them prescriptions.

    I had an issue with my vet - they would not verify the prescription. I scanned a copy of the prescription to the customer service e-mail and they told me that the only scans they could accept (of the prescription) were from the vet, which I understood. They also told me that I could mail them the original prescription. I told them that the prescription I scanned them was the only one I had (and it was an original) and that my vet would not provide one (which is another aggravation of course). The customer service response was always the same, "We are very sorry, but unfortunately due to pharmacy regulations we can only accept a fax or scan directly from your veterinarian. We ask you to mail the original prescription to us." I wasn't sure if I had to send them the first "original" from a year ago or if the one I currently had would work. I kept asking if the original I had was acceptable, and the above response was the answer I received. Not helpful at all. After three e-mails with the same stupid response, I canceled my order.

    I placed an order over 9 days ago. I was to have my order shipped within 3-5 days. I never received anything. I log onto the 1-800-PetMeds site and see that my order is "under review". I send in an inquiry and I am told that my billing address and the shipping address do not match. I live in a small town that does not deliver mail to your door so I have to have a PO Box. I did not ask for special delivery so my purchase was going to come regular mail. No communication from 1-800-PetMeds.NOTHING!! I cancelled my order and will not go back.     I purchased two 6 packs of Frontline plus for my two indoor fur children. One less than 22 lbs and other for 23 - 44 lbs. The first couple applications worked like they should; however the past two applications have been way substandard. Most recent application 4 days ago however had to give both a bath this evening and oh my the fleas...fleas...fleas. I am not new to Frontline as I have used it on them for over one year and purchased those from their vet's office and it works within 24 hrs. I notified 1800PetMeds today by email and look to hear from them this week. Regardless...this product I do not believe is a true Frontline and if it is...it is substandard and should not be passed onto the consumer...however if it is a counterfeit, it would make me wonder what I have exposed them to? Recently which is not posted on your website you advertise that you will price match but did not state that since my last two orders that if you price match that now you will pay shipping and cannot use any coupons given to you by petmeds. I am very upset and will post for everyone to use allivet since they are much cheaper and honor any promotions they offer you. Since you have to pay shipping to petmeds why not pay shipping to allivet and still get the offer.     I ordered a heart worm medicine at PetMeds and they told me it was a prescription medicine and I needed a prescription. I took our dog to the vet and got a prescription and asked the vet to fax it in. They told me they do not fax in prescriptions, I can fax it in. I faxed it to the number that was given to me in the original email. PetMeds did nothing, I called them. They told me they do not accept faxes and to mail it in. I will never order anything from them, they are not customer focused. They do not care.

    My dog was on Heartgard for about two years, which I bought from them. My dog tested positive after being on their preventative for about a year. She went through 4 months of treatments. And after 6 months of completing those treatments, finally tested negative. The whole while I was still giving her the Heartgard from 1800 Pet Meds. Four months later, while still on Heartgard, she tested positive AGAIN!

    I stopped giving her the Heartgard & switched to something from my vet. We tried a different treatment that took two years to complete. Finally she is heartworm free again, but they are refusing to pay for the second treatment! They say I didn't keep her on Heartgard (from them) for 9 months straight. But their website doesn't say whether or not it has to be 9 months after testing positive or negative. She was on it for well over 9 months before she tested positive the second time! WHY would I keep my dog on something that's not working! They told me they would reimburse me after she tested negative, and she has. But they refuse to honor their agreement. Don't waste your time with this company!

    I used 1800-petmeds to order a refill on my dog’s seizure medication. They guarantee 5-7 day shipping, which I assume means I will get my order in 5-7 days after I click on the "purchase" icon. Not true. It took 1800-petmeds two days to contact my vet for authorization. Then, according to their customer service person, my card was declined and an email sent out. Again, not true! I contacted my credit card company and no attempt was made by 1800-petmeds to charge on my card AND I have plenty of available credit. Do they not want business? It seems like such a simple transaction. Total debacle! I will never use them again. So many other companies who would like my business.

    PetMeds is the best. I have two schnauzers. My vet is a total jerk, he told me my heart worm medicine from PetMeds was not reliable. That I should pay $85.00 for his Revolution, instead of $20.65 for 6 months of Ivan hart. He played games with me and PetMeds, stating PetMeds did not call or fax info to his office. I called PetMeds twice, to find out what the problem was, they said both times my Vet did not ok request. I had to called the Vet back twice and had to give him PetMeds phone number and fax number to resolve the conflict. I ordered one year worth of heart worm medicine. My Vet would only allow a prescription for 6 months. PetMeds sent me an order for 6 months and I received it in two days. PetMeds gave me a discount and my dogs did not go without heart worm medicine. My next refill will be for one year. My Vet has lost my confidence and my money. I wonder how many Vets are milking their customers. I got milked for 12 years. I used to buy Revolutions for 6 months and my Vet would give us 1 extra one. After 2 years no more extra one and price went up to $85.00.

    I have been a very good customer of 1-800 Pet Meds many years. They have double billed my nephew's account, double billed my account, and had we not noticed, they did not let us know. To add insult to injury, my dog's medicine had been price matched over a year. I called to order the medicine and surprise! Pet Meds had increased the price one third! They told me to find another price match. I did and am doing business with another company. Why price match after they tried to rip off me, my nephew, withhold meds from a sick dog unless I pay a very high price, and their customer service and managers are very rude to say this politely.... Rip off company!!!

I had to deal with the ** of a customer service, with his condescending attitude. Thank you for explaining to me what a compound product was, but try to listen to the question before you give me a stupid answer. I know my order won't arrive the day after I order it because of its complex nature, but that doesn't answer why it was shipped ground. After talking to him for 12 minutes, he finally decided to "look into it". More hold time, and it turn out my package was shipped ground, and he doesn't know why! Wow!! Speechless.     I was looking for a place to buy my dog Zentonil Advanced 200 at a better price than the vet who charges $90.00 for 30 pills. I located Petmeds and found their price to be excellent, and placed my order. I read some reviews after that and was a little concerned, but I know there are good and bad reviews. All I was concerned about was getting the product quickly AND knowing it was equal quality. After 7 days I contacted Petmends to see if my product had been shipped. I was told it had been processed and was ready to be shipped. I pushed for an explanation of this, telling the person I was about to run out. To their credit, they were very polite and helpful, and made the inquiry for me.

    Calling back, the same day and left a message that my product would be shipped from a Manitoba Pharmacy the next day, and that I would have it in a couple of days. They were true to their word. The product came in identical packaging to what I had previously purchased. I was very happy to see that. They had a deal that if two of what I needed was purchased, shipping would be free, which was fine as two were about the same price as one from the vet.

    My friend gets her pet meds through this company so I registered and paid up feeling all good with the savings. I ordered Flea&Tick Topical Treatment. They said my order arrived but it wasn't in the mailbox and my neighbors watch out for each other so I knew they weren't stolen. When I complained to 1-800 Pet Meds they said this happens all the time and they would send another packet at no extra charge.

    After waiting a few days I checked my account to see that it had been returned. I called 1-800 Pet Meds only to be informed that they had been returned because there was an issue with my address. I never changed any details in my account between the two deliveries so how can that be? They refunded me and I have never bothered with them again. I think this company is up to no good and an internal investigation should start immediately!

    I ordered a (6) count supply of flea preventative for my dog called Revolution. After 2 applications, my dog was infested with fleas and knowing that Revolution had always worked in the past, I knew something was wrong. I consulted my vet (Los Feliz Small Animal Hospital) who concurred that the product was faulty and passed on that 1800-PetMeds has been reprimanded in the past for supplying consumers with faulty product mislabeled to be the real thing. I was appalled. My dog has flea bites all over her from a month of faulty product and I purchased something which I'm not even sure what it is.

    I purchased Trifexis in the vet's office and immediately the fleas died. I haven't seen a flea on her since. The only reason I switched to Trifexis is because it was easier to give her a pill rather than application on her as she is a French Bulldog and has fine hair. Stay AWAY from this company. It's not worth saving a little money for the possibility of going through what I've been through.

    The prescription medication I get for my dog is very expensive. I had heard that online places like PetMeds was considerably lower priced for most things, so I did a Google search to find out. The only company that ships to Canada is PetMeds that I could find, so I did some research before opening an account. I emailed them to ask them where their meds come from (company name). I had heard horror stories about the meds of some online companies coming from unhealthy places like Mexico, etc. They told me the name of the company in the USA and where it was located, so that was good. Next thing I asked them is if they could ship a product called Tramadol to Canada. My dog takes this for his arthritis in his legs and it's a very expensive product to buy.

    PetMeds assured me that it could be shipped to Canada. The only thing was that because it's a controlled substance, they would have to verify the prescription over the phone with the vet. A written and faxed prescription would not be good enough. I went ahead and got pre-approval from my vet that he would verify the prescription for me over the phone, so this product could be ordered. Finally, after doing all this, I set out to open the account. They require a lot of personal information, including my credit card number to open an account (information I am not comfortable giving online), but the meds were half the price I pay at the vet so I opened the account.

    Next, I went to order the meds, only to have a popup come up saying the medication had been removed from my cart because it's one that can't be shipped to my location! I emailed the company, again! I asked them why I could not order this since I emailed before I opened the account, making sure this particular medication could be shipped to me. The answer I got was "Yes, no problem." I got an answer from them the following day asking me to call them at their 1-800 number and they would put the order through personally, and that they indeed ship that medication to my address. So, I called them this morning and was told by a very nice operator that the medication could not be shipped to me because it was a controlled substance.

    I told her all I had went through before opening the account and that I was assured twice by email that it could be shipped to me if I call them personally. She apologized and that was it. I was so upset by this because it took a lot of work to get all this arranged with my vet, only to be lied to by PetMeds over and over again. My advice to anyone is stay away from this company. They lie, lie and lie so I would not be surprised if their meds are the cheap crap that come from Mexico and other places like that.

    I am shocked that 1800-PetMeds received such horrible reviews. For me, they were a life saver; or rather a bank saver. I have never felt swayed into believing that veterinary doctors were grubbing money by making money from off prescription or any other medication. The 1800PM is simply an alternative. As for the ridiculous claim, that they encourage you not to take your dog to the veterinary clinic, is just that ridiculous. Everyone needs to be responsible for themselves. If you have a dog, you know when to take it to the veterinary clinic. But if you don't, well that's just silly.

    Personally, since my veterinary doctor is really far away and if I cannot make it out there, it's a great alternative for heartworm medicine. I would rather give my money to my veterinary doctor. But as my best bud started going downhill in his 12th year, we ran into a 2-year period of time going to the veterinary clinic all the time and dealt with very expensive medication for chronic cystitis and arthritis medication. The arthritis medicine along with antibiotics and veterinary doctor's bills were putting me in the poor house.

    The 1800-PetMeds saved me almost $60 every 6 weeks on that medication alone, combined with a coupon every time. My coupons worked. We're from $7 to $10. So, that increased my savings even more. Again, I prefer small business, since I have to support myself, during that period of time I needed them. Now that I've got just a young puppy in my life. I get not so much, but I'm glad they are there.

    PetMeds appears to be authorizing and or refilling prescriptions of heartworm medications for dogs, without veterinary authorization. This is a prescription medication and legally requires a prescription from the veterinarian. Additionally, they require no proof that the pet has been tested for heartworm disease prior to dispensing medication, which is recommended for all dogs - there are potentially adverse effects of giving heartworm preventative to a heartworm positive dog, including death.

    This company misleads the average pet owner consumer into thinking veterinarians are just trying to make money off heartworm medications and devalues the importance of an annual physical exam for pets and annual heartworm testing.

    Most consumers are also unaware that there have been lawsuits against them. This is not propoganda from the veterinary field, it is true.

    I placed an order for some pet items, free shipping with first order. All good. Came to a place to get/print out a $5.00 coupon on any subsequent orders placed with PetMeds online. I tried to do that, discovering by accepting the coupon, it enrolled me in TWO "clubs" which I did not want to do. Too late, the key was pushed and I was "automatically, without my choice" signed up for a Buyers club and a Travel Club...I had to do the research and un-enroll from both..What should have been an easy on line fast purchase from PetMeds turned into a real fiasco...
    I WILL NOT be ordering any more online pet products from that site..they should have control over their own site, not sell other interests access to their customer email lists...This has made me NOT want to order anything else ever from email businesses..

    At least I was able to cancel my so called, enrollment in these two bogus lame companies.

    I would have been charged on the credit card I used to purchas the Petmed items, by both of these "clubs" if I had not read the fine print, found their sites and cancelled the enrollments. I will be watching my credit card statements very carefully from now on...also this can happen from ordering items off TV 800#s...once you give anyone on the phone or internet your credit card number and security number on the back, they can charge anything they want..if you are careful and "notice" it, then it is on your head, time, annoyance etc.. to correct it, stop it...

    This could be one very valuable service that responsible credit card issuers/banks could provide for their customers who make them millions each year, and stop and fine sleazy bogus companies that "tag" onto actual placed and authorized purchases or orders.

    If this isn't addressed..many online users will BE FORCED to BOYCOTT any online purchases just to be safe..too bad. I had thought highly of petmeds.org and heard good things about them, getting greedy and allowing sketchy companies/service clubs to have acces to YOUR customer is not a good business practice EVER.

    Again, I write to warn pet owners. As a lab tech, I spend a good part of my day calling in or filling prescriptions for animals. While the majority of the RX's that I call in are to local pharmacies, there has been a recent trend among pet owners to use the online pharmacies, PetMed in particular, when filling a prescription. The routine is simple: the pet owner emails/faxes in their prescription, PetMed contacts us for approval, and they dispense medications, prescription and non-prescription, to the client directly.

    There is logic in this system when one considers that PetMed sells their merchandise at a substantially lower price than most pharmacies. However, you get what you paid for, and few veterinarians are authorizing prescriptions through PetMed anymore due to their grave errors.

    It is easy to assume that veterinarians do not like these online pharmacies, PetMed in particular, because they sell medications at cut rate prices. However, PetMed places no guarantee on their product, and using them has been known to pose a great danger to many pets.

    I wanted to order some heartworm preventative from this company. I ordered it, it came in the mail, all was well ... or so I thought. A few months later I had a bill on my debit card for $72 from a company called "Travel Values Plus." I called the company and told them I had no idea what I was being charged for and that I never signed up for their services. The first thing he asked me was, "Have you ever ordered anything for Petmeds.com?" I told him I had, and he went on to tell me that a lot of times customers who register at that site "accidentally" sign up for their service. He was polite and refunded my money, but I was upset that I had signed up for something without any real knowledge of doing so.

    My thoughts are that even if there was a box that I may have checked somewhere that had to do with signing up for this $72 service, it must have been so small that it was overlooked. I usually read things carefully, so this came to my surprise. I'd like to warn other people who use Petmeds.com to check their bills and make sure they didn't "accidentally" sign up for the Travel Values Plus service too. I don't like the fact that if I would not have been carefully checking over my debit card statements, they probably would have gotten away with taking my $72.
