They did the same to me as many others have claimed. I actually used a style pass for 11 months and spent a lot of money not only on fixes but on purchasing clothing from their store. I was offered $75 referral and referred both of my girls and even though they don't live with me full-time, used my address since the one lives with her dad in another town and the other lives in an apartment in a not so great part of town where it's difficult to get parcels delivered. Of course being mom, I offered to pay for it and let them choose some clothing using the credit. So here I am, I've been a loyal customer and I did not ask for the referral at all, but figured why now use it?

They canceled all three accounts, stating I 'owed' money, but I can't figure out for what because I don't owe them any returns and everything outside of the credit applied was paid for. If anything, they actually owe me money for returns that are pending credit and now I cannot even log into the account which has a style profile built up over a significant period of time to check on my returns!

I don't recommend this service at all because in many cases I have found clothing of the same brand and style at places like Nordstrom rack. There are times I've been able to find things I like BUT I will state this, the styling service is not good at all. It's incredibly frustrating to see items in stock in the store and request them in a fix to get the 25% discount but you never get the items you ask for, SO I think if anyone is scamming here it's this service.

I shop mostly at places like Ann Taylor now because the clothing is great quality, the sizing always true, they stand behind their product and since COVID their prices cannot be beaten. I'll have to take it up with my bank and the payment services I've used like after pay and Klarna now since I cannot track my returns. I think Stitch Fix should ultimately be ashamed of themselves and they really should not offer credit for referrals period since they cannot honor them, and they end up losing customers in the end. I definitely have no regrets now that I think about it, since honestly, they don't deserve my business.

I have ordered extra items from StitchFix beside my regular delivery. The last two items have become lost with United Postal Service. As always I try to order it again. It is out of stock. Sure wish Stitch Fix would send items through United Parcel as I probably won’t order individual items if they are all going to get lost.

We will never order from them again. Did the style quiz which is very specific. They got everything all wrong. Either it was the wrong style or the wrong fit! I do not understand how they could be so off with everything myself and my daughter specified in our quizzes!? For example, my daughter specified on her quiz how she needs shorter lengthed pants. They sent her a pair of sweats that pooled really badly at the feet. I specified that I liked form-fitting tops, the one top I was sent was really baggy on me, and the other was not my style. The only thing I kept was earrings. The clothes my daughter received couldn't have been any further from her style. Obviously, they don't cater to younger customers as all these clothes were very middle age savvy. Very very disappointed.

They suspended my account claiming "violation of the rules" because I supposedly duplicated the accounts and that was totally false, I had $ 201 of credit and they simply eliminated it for unsubstantiated assumptions, they are cheats and not attentive to solve supposed violations, they just assume and decide and voila!!!

I think if you have tons of money to spend on nothing special clothes, this is a great service. I have a sense of style and the pieces I got month after month had NOTHING to do with the style I tried so hard to explained to them. This was my second time trying the service, I first tried it when it came out and I was very disappointed by it. I thought I should give it a second try since a few years have gone by and I thought the service would have improved. I was wrong, just the same clothes that don't match my style nor my budget.

Stitch Fix is a scam if you order more than one person in your household. I ordered a box and it was fine but when everyone else in my family did their accounts were deactivated because they were "too similar to mine" aka same address and card info. My sisters and I are the same size and used my card and they accused me of trying to scam the credit system because the profiles were too similar. It's a shame they didn't get to sample a box for a credit like I did, I canceled my account because it just gave me scam vibes. I understand having a rule that there's only one credit per first time account, but to have that rule on a whole household is odd to me. And saying a family member's account is "too similar" is just weird.

As my description said, the clothes fit well, but there was dirt on the collar of one of the shirts. The earrings I got were pretty but they were silver plated and the silver wore off in about a week. I had said that I would pay for luxury brands. The brands they sent were all their own brands. Overall the clothes look nice but the quality was fairly low. I said that I like a classic look, but have to dress up a lot, and they sent me a pair of jeans with holes in them? I was going to send a few things back but the reason I signed up to give this a try was because I don't have that much time, so I did end up keeping everything for beater clothes, though when I get a chance I may donate some of them.

So it was like I got a handful of unknown brand thrift store clothes I wouldn't have picked myself for about $260. I also got an olive green jacket when I said I liked cool colors like black, silver, or blue. I appreciated one of the styles of shirts that I got, it was very nice but it was the one that had the dirt on the collar. It came off and it's one of my favorite shirts now for when I need to get dressed up. I guess overall I'd say if they could address those problems and if they have better brands and better quality items, somebody could give it a shot.

On Stitch Fix they have you take a lot of quizzes about your style. You can come back every day and take more. It gets very specific and makes you feel comfortable gambling your $20. Don’t. My box was curated for someone 20 years older and 20 lbs heavier than me. It was like my stylist took my answers and picked the absolute opposite. One example, I said I like form fitting shirts and to show off my legs and butt. Every shirt sent was not just baggy but severely and intentionally oversized, one even had a long flap in back to hide your butt. There’s no recourse, you’re just out the money. Everything looked like it came from Dress Barn and was for a middle aged teacher when I said I like bold and form fitting. Don’t do it unless you like bland unstylish clothing.

She reads my feedback and actually listens. I had to contact customer service on two occasions regarding a referral fee and both times the issue was resolved immediately by an extremely polite team member. Don't believe all these reviews, try it for yourself and see. If you complete your profile accurately, you will receive beautiful items. And if you don't like them, you can always change your stylist at any time.

I have a serious complaint against this Stitch Fix and I don’t understand why someone won't address my issue. I’m trying to return products that Stitch Fix allowed me to select while using a code.. Now I guess code/discount/credit not valid? I did not authorize this company to take or attempt to take the full price of items selected from the card they have for me to purchase items.. I have deactivated that credit card account.. You can't reach a "Live" person; now I know why. They all about not taking care of the customer.

I am only requesting a "RETURN SLIP" to send back the items; no response. It's been over 72-hours, since I received an alert from my bank that Stitch Fix was trying to take out $136.41 from my account. "NO CALL or email to explain why". It is the total of the 2-items full price. They can have these overpriced clothes back. I am done. If someone offers you to try and get clothing at a discount on your first order...SAY NOOOO. It's not true. I wished I had read other complaints against this company on social media, but I will be adding mine as well ... Unhappy customer 8/12/2020

Be very careful in agreeing to this service! I agree that Stitch Fix is a unique service and I did like the combination of clothes picked out. Unfortunately I started it just before CV19 & I realized it was an expense I couldn’t take on. There is no Customer Service contact to cancel. You cannot speak to a live person. There is no “cancel” online even though it says you can cancel at any time. I took screenshots to show I followed the directions to cancel but there was no cancel. They continue to charge my cc $20/month. I’ve sent no less than 8 emails asking them to stop.

They reply in about 72 hours if at all. Their last response is that I don’t have an account with them! I sent them a copy of all my cc charges and absolutely no response! This is very deceptive and leads me to believe intentional so they can continue charging me for a product I don’t want. Because it is a monthly service that I initially agreed to my cc company says I can’t dispute. The only option I have is cancel my cc and get a new one to stop the charges. I will never use this company again and will be telling everyone!

I really wanted to like StitchFix. I thought it would be fun, but mostly it's just been frustrating. I filled out the style assessment before receiving my first fix and told them what I did and didn't like. I left feedback on my fixes and asked for certain things to not be sent to me again. And yet, I still kept getting things I told them I didn't want. It's really frustrating to feel like your feedback doesn't matter. I don't know if it's because they have a surplus of items and they're forced to include certain things or if the stylists don't have access to all the feedback customers leave, but it's clear they need to improve their process regardless. I'll just stick to shopping for myself and won't be using their service anymore.

When I signed up for Stitch Fix, I got the account during a promotion so I got my first three boxes for the price of one styling fee ($20). I had them come once a month. The first box was pretty good and I kept 3/5 items. The next two were not my style at all! It was like they weren’t leaving any of the (very detailed) notes on my profile. I actually went to the website and quit after the third box but they asked for one more chance. They said they’ll waive the $20 styling fee for my fourth box. I went for it since there’s nothing to lose (returning items is SUPER easy)! They set me up with a new stylist: Hayley. She’s an absolute angel. This latest box fits me to a T! I will definitely not be canceling my membership as long as she’s my stylist. Thank you to Stitch Fix and Hayley!

I've been with Stitch Fix for over a year now and wasn't sure how I felt about some of the styles but tried on. The fit was great but they get in a rut with colors last December. For an outfit I asked for something nice for a corporate holiday party they sent me Jeans, a grey jacket made out of sweatshirt material and an eggplant purple blouse did not scream holiday party to me. The then this year asked for something nice for holiday party they again send me purple and grey. The dress they sent was purple and black and floral pattern. Was big and did not look good on me. But also in the box was an eggplant colored skirt. Not too bad. And also a grey denim jacket. Granted this fix was done by a sub and I was told mine was on vacation but she should looked at pieces I already had and not repeat the same colors over and over.

All of the pieces I have received are high quality. Returning couldn’t be any easier. I had 2 pairs of pants in my last fix that I requested a different size in. They shipped the new ones to me before I even had a chance to return the others. And they provide a postage paid envelope to return your items in. You simply have to drop them off at the post office. If you are a busy working mother like myself who doesn’t have the time or want to go clothes shopping I highly recommend this service! I was given a gift card to Stitch Fix and had to go through three receipts and returns of packages to find something I only kind of liked so I would stop having to deal with all the return mailing. If I had the option, I would have asked for the money back to go find my own clothing. Doing the little style games on the website and sending notes to my stylist wound up completely useless: I would always receive things that seemed like a bunch of surplus items that these brands weren't able to get off their hands through other means. The overall 'style' you will receive is that version of the cold, lifeless aesthetic of some techie who thinks that shopping for clothes is nothing but a frustration (surprise).

Overall, I vehemently dislike the idea of this company- a bunch of probably underappreciated (according to Glassdoor) tech employees who don't know the first thing about me, doing me a 'service' that I think should not exist as an option in the first place. The whole affair made me sad and angry. I hope this will not become the norm.

I tried this in the hopes of getting a much needed update on my wardrobe. I read the agreement which later turned out to be false. I made a purchase and did not get my styling fee refunded. I did ask and was told that I was not eligible. I guess they change terms when it suits them. Maybe I missed the teeny tiny writing that says StitchFix can do whatever, whenever. The only reason I made the purchase is because I was informed that any purchase in a fix will have the 20 styling fee deducted. WRONG. I did try to keep up on feedback and rating but the website is done very poorly. The language is limiting and not really set up in a way to learn more like that advertise.

Somehow this process that is supposed to be more convenient has turned into a chore. I had to send 3 separate emails to make sure that my account was closed. Again their website, which the company depends on, takes you in a loop when you want to cancel any part of their "service". I gave it two stars because I have to take some blame. I read reviews and I still chose to try. Also the first box arrived and I was so excited. I opened the box and tried on clothes that were laying on my midsection which I had addressed as a problem I would like to work around. People it's a crapshoot and stitch fix will get more than you will!

A few things happened - When I asked for specific things, they never delivered, not once. When I asked them to never send certain things - I got them with regularity. And the thing that put me over the edge was getting out of season clothing. I did cancel my subscription and go back to bulk ordering off Nordstrom and returning what I didn't like which is a royal pain.

They asked for another shot so I tried one last time. The order that I got was a pair of orange riding pants with leather pads on the inner thighs, a summer shirt, and three synthetic sweaters. The topper was the note they sent to Amber with styling tips on her order. (Which was way better than mine, at least in pictures.) My name is Megan. I would say it's not at all what it's supposed to be. But maybe you'll have more luck than me. Or maybe they are just in a slump. I have been VERY communicative about my style and clothing preferences, yet continue to get items that are counter to my guidelines. I have repeatedly stated "no sleeveless" -- yet every fix has a sleeveless top or dress. I said, "no red/orange/burgundy tops" and the last fix included TWO! Am I being punked? Or am I overly optimistic? Either way it's time for me to throw in the towel.

I was excited to have a "personal shopper" (I hate to shop), but this has not worked for me. I've received 5 boxes, and have kept a total of 5 items. I have done my part -- I take the "style quiz" 5x a week, I completed the style preference, and leave VERY detailed notes to my stylist every month. None of that helps! I will say -- the fit has been spot on, and it is free and easy to return... but I've never been able to take advantage of the 25% discount. Everything has been very plain. Very basic. All the tops I've gotten have been the exact same cut (short sleeved, round neck). I see beautiful things on their website -- but I get nothing like that. Nothing I would be drawn to if I were shopping at the mall. I'm super disappointed!

When I wrote in to customer service I was informed you only get credit up to $599 due to IRS. This wasn't written ANYWHERE (i'm now told its buried on the FAQ page somewhere), it should have been noted up front that after x amount you no longer receive credit or that you can only refer 5 friends.

I handed them 11 people of business and they are pocketing the remaining $600 in credit. They said I won't receive any more until 2020 but it has to be new referrals and not the 7 I've now lost. I am a 71-year-old, active, artist. I am also short, with short legs, kind of boxy shaped. I have a very good sense of color and design - but like many of you have said, "I hate to shop". I decided that this might be a tool for me to use and avoid shopping for clothes. I listed things I liked; round or collared necks (No v-necks), long blouses, comfortable/washable I(no dry-clean). I did not want dresses or skirts. And I stressed that I did not want to alter pants - even shortening them if I paid for a stylist to do my shopping. I said I like color, but not too many prints. I also said that I prefer colors that are not artificial-looking (day-glow - shiny -- that kind of stuff).

Well, I received olive and Khaki. A turtle neck sweater, drab olive - 4 or 5 sizes larger than I am. A foo-foo old lady light olive crochet sweater - good for the nursing home. A pair of khaki pants that are HUGE and at least 9 inches too long. And a very nice, khaki, knit blouse with a round neck and GLORY OF GLORIES it fit! Then I read the tag -- "dry clean only."

Thank you to other reviewers, I too thought that the $20 would be applied to purchase or refunded. Their info was misleading to me as well. So, if I have to pay $20 anyway - I will keep the one dry clean only blouse and probably never wear it! It cost $58.00 and I resent everything about this -- oh maybe I will send it back as well. Count the $20 "Styling fee" as continuing education.

The 'frosting on the cake" was that I just realized that the package did not contain a return envelope as mentioned in the note that came with the package.

I have written to the company with my need for a return envelope. I also went to their website and extended my time for returning my items from a couple of days to over a week - giving them time to get an envelope to me.

Just call me wiser now. This could be a great process - they just don't have it. A simple computer program could be used for the company to identify and classify every product in their "store". Then they put all of the customer's needs into the database. The "stylist" then would only have to assemble clothes that they think meet the customer's criteria; the last step would be to then let the computer compare - the computer would compare the two and see if they guessed correctly. I assume that it is difficult to "style" for someone else -- I assume that they have people who have skills and like to shop for others, but this is what they are selling and they really stink at it based on my experience and the experiences I have just read from the majority of reviews on this site.

Okay I decided to try it out. Why not? The first box would be shipped free, and I could send back FREE as long as it was within the 3 day time frame. OMG! I loved EVERYTHING! All the tops, the jeans, the shoes. They nailed everything I said I wanted. I've been wanting to renew my style for a while and it's been hard to find what I've been wanting. My stylist seems to have read everything I had asked for, BESIDES the pricing I wanted to spend. I wanted each item to be between 15-20 dollars and I specified that. All the shirts were 40-50$. The jeans were 60 and the shoes were $89. The only time I spend that much on shoes is gyms shoes that are going to last me a few years that I wear daily, not dress shoes I will only wear on occasion. Regardless My hubby loved the things that were sent to me as well.

I wanted to buy at least the 3 shirts and take off the jeans and shoes but by the time I did that and they offered 25% off (like $80). I was only 40 less than what I would have paid for 3 shirts vs taking the whole box. So he bought the entire box. I set it up every 3 months, but would have done it more frequently if the price I could afford was taken into account. But I can't really complain because what was sent to me was worth the asking price. They were GOOD top brands and EXACTLY the items I desperately looked for in stores.

This company has you tell "their" stylist what type of items you are looking for. Unfortunately, the "stylist" does not read what you have written! I have been EXTREMELY SPECIFIC and still get exactly what I asked not to get. Lately, I have been getting name brands that are sold at Macy's, Dillard's, and Nordstrom - that I could go their website or in their store and buy. The reason that I initially started using this company was to find unusual items that can't be found off the rack. Needless to say, it has been nothing but disappointing. Not only do they not listen, if you choose not to keep the "crap" that they send you it costs you $20 for the styling fee for the "stylist" that does not read what you took the time to write. I truly believe that they have boxes made ahead of time and just send everyone basically the same things. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY....

Reached out to Customer Service and 5 days later had no resolution and no explanation as to how to prevent further duplicates. Deactivated solely based on poor customer service. Seems to be more automated and lacks any ability to resolve problems or concerns.

I bought the whole package. Everything was to my liking and it all fit unbelievably well. I am definitely looking forward to receiving my next one. I would recommend Stitch Fix to my closest friend. I wrote a note on my order stating that I had a professional organization meeting coming up and could really use a nice blazer.

    I received the following:
    - Blue blazer with a small print design (and it stretches!). Perfect fit.
    - Khaki pants. Another great fit. A little long but that's the size I told them.
    - Dress shirt made of light stretch fabric with an outstanding color and print.
    - Dress belt. Best fitting belt I have ever bought. 2-inches beyond clasp.

    - Polo shirt. Made of a light material as I stated in my profile.

To my surprise, everything fit perfectly. The colors and style was perfect. I have no complaints whatsoever.

They did send a pretty great pair of black leggings but they were $78. No way am I paying $78 for simple cotton leggings that I can get anywhere for much cheaper. Also, I said I did not like white and you guessed it. They sent me a white blouse. I don't get it. Did they not read my style survey or my comments? All items were way overpriced. I give up. This company claims that you can provide information directly to your stylist so they can better pick articles of clothing that fit your tastes. Three things I was very specific about: (1) I hate pink. (2) I have a longer torso so I need shirts that run slightly longer than normal. (3) I detest hemlines that are elastic, asymmetrical, or uneven. What five items did I get? 2 pink (1 dress and 1 top), 3 shirts with crazy hemlines and 1 that looked more like a belly shirt on me than a tank top. This was my third Stitch Fix box and most definitely my last. I would have been more excited to burn the $20 I just wasted on the stylist fee than I was opening up this package. Stay away.

I tried Stitch Fix because it’s hard to get out and shop with kids/work. I received 2 separate orders, both of which were jeans and long sleeve shirts (in the middle of summer) and one belt. I didn’t like the belt and kept that, but every other article of clothing was about 3 sizes too big. I said medium shirt etc and they look like XLs. The other part is that I paid the $20 styling fee for the second fix, which of course everything was way too big. I sent it all back and they kept my $20. Not a very good experience. I researched a little bit about Stitch Fix and thought I would give it a try. In the information they provide you about how it works they indicate that they charge a $20 styling fee per shipment. They say that that $20 can be used toward a purchase. What however is not clear in their initial introduction is that if you don't keep any of the stuff in the shipment they keep the $20.

I returned everything in my shipment, but had I known that they were going to keep my $20 I definitely would have purchased something. It seems like a scam to me. I had to dig to find this information it was not easily accessible, that's probably how they're making their money. I hate when companies try to take your money without giving you all the information upfront. It makes me feel like someone stole for me. So my Stitch Fix experience: I have nothing and I'm out $20 so not great.

It was like didn't they read my profile and sent me the most hideous clothes I have ever seen. Everything was too big. It was as though they looked at my age and decided I need gaudy prints with terrible fabric. I asked specifically for black tapered skinny pants. They sent me these ugly black pants that weren't tapered and no way in the form of skinny pants. I am so angry with them right now. What a waste of my time!!

Now, they have asked me if I am on Pinterest. So, now I have to sign up for Pinterest because they can't figure it out. Really, I provided all the information they needed in order to assess my style and what clothes could work for me. They should be able to figure it out which clothes will work. They also keep sending me the same pants in different colors. ENOUGH is enough!!! There is no thought on the part of the stylist at Stitch Fix. I am going to try the Trunk Club.

I’ve been using Stitch Fix for a year now. I love it! Jeans that fit are hard to find. Yet Hannah has hit it out of the park every time. I like that I don’t have to keep everything. I get 5 items and choose which to keep. This is great if you’re on a budget and can only afford one or two items. I’ve seen complaints about cost. You have the option to choose the price range you want and you can change it at any time. Several times I’ve kept everything. A couple times I’ve sent back two or three items. I like having the option to comment on and rate each item received. And it’s so easy to return items at no cost.

To get the most out of Stitch Fix it’s best to take advantage of the style shuffle on their site as well as creating a Pinterest board specifically for your stylist to view. I daily save all sorts of clothing I like to my board. You just add the url for your Pinterest to your account information. After being a member for over a year I find that my stylist, Hannah, include more personal notes in my orders. She’s referenced things on my Pinterest board more than once. It’s allowed us to discuss what didn’t work and why. And you can change stylists if you want. Hannah gets me. I don’t expect to keep everything. I hope there will be at least one new item I will like. But Hannah has outdone herself. If your expectation is to have a shipment of perfect items each time then you’ll be disappointed eventually.

The quality of clothing has been very good. I’ve tried other similar services and have cancelled as soon as I could. They claim to be better quality than Stitch Fix but they aren’t. You can order whenever you want. They don’t trick you into choosing auto ship. You can choose individual can opt for auto ship every two months, every other month or monthly. You can just order a one time order whenever you want. Stitch Fix is the real deal and make everything so easy. But if you like to have complete control over your shopping choices and don’t relish surprises, then you may not enjoy this service or anyone else’s.

They would send some unique pieces that I couldn't find anywhere else. In December 2018, they offered me a Style Pass, which means I pay $40.00 and get free boxes all year. I accepted this offer and things went downhill from there. They've been sending the most hideous clothes! They are super matronly and I feel certain even my Grandmother wouldn't wear them. I keep telling them to cease sending this kind of clothing, yet they do again and again, no matter which stylist is assigned to me. The last straw is when they charged me for something I didn't keep, due to a mistake in their warehouse. Stitch Fix can keep their ugly floral vomit Grandma clothes. I'm out!

My experience was that the average price to purchase the items in each box was around $300. For such horrible quality....I cancelled and never regret it.

I tried Stitch fix because my girlfriend enjoyed the subscription. I signed up for a single box. I was actually pretty excited to try new clothes that I didn't pick out. When I got the box it was something like $100 for a pair of offbrand pants, and then $50-$60 for tshirts. Every they sent me I was able to find online for much cheaper. I returned everything. In the first I would've kept on one item that they sent me if it was priced properly.

I got an email a few days later from someone in the "Client Support". They were really helpful and waived the styling fee I inured. They said they'd update my profile and wished I would try again. They also told me they price match (Something they don't make very clear unless you cancel the service). I did because they went out of the way to send a personal email after I returned the items.

After getting my second box I found they had sent me mostly items that were Stitch Fix exclusive. I was able to find comparable (same materials style and size) items for 50% less online. The two items that weren't exclusive I was able to finder cheaper as well. This box I did enjoy the style of some of the clothes and even thought about keeping one of the exclusive shirts because I really liked it. But the idea of overpaying for it made me return it.

All in all styling was pretty on, and I could see if you used the same stylist you'd end up with boxes that you would totally be into. That fact saves it from being a 1 star review. All the items I received were way overpriced. Even if you kept everything the 25% discount wouldn't be enough to make the items cheaper than the online versions. If you're willing to overpay 50% on the items for the stylist to send you items I'd recommend the service. Otherwise you're better off just going to a name brand stores and buying clothes there or online.

I stated that my style was Bohemian and I received a beautful blazer if you go to an office every day. I asked for no animal prints and no sleeveless or capped sleeves and I received a leopard print top with capped sleeves. They sent 2 3/4 length polka dot blouses that were ok but nothing I would ever buy and too expensive for how generic they were. I gave detailed instructions on jeans as this is what I was really interested in receiving.

Being petite, stores have limited selections. I requested a jean that sits at the waist and would like them distressed. The jeans were distressed but the zipper was like 2" long so I knew before I even tried them on they were going to be super low cut. I felt that after all the time I spent creating my profile they just sent me 2 very generic items, 1 that was very nice quality but nothing in the style range I was interested in and 2 that were clearly against what I had stated. My daughter had a similar experience so we both cancelled and ate the $20 styling fee. I feel that if you can pinpoint rules they broke by sending you apparel that they should not have then there should be some responsibility to the consumer.

Of the five items they sent me, I returned three, one of which was actually hideous, and two of which, while not hideous, were not right, either. The two items I kept were unobjectionable, but not really quite what I would have picked for myself either. Of course, part of the reason for trying them is that I know my own taste in clothing is very limited, and I am open to trying something I would not have picked out myself and discovering that I quite like it. But that didn't happen. "Unobjectionable" is really about as far as I can go in praising the selections I kept. I called them to request a courtesy refund because the fee wasn’t clearly stated on the website (I thought the fee is applied only when an item is kept). The company doesn’t waive the charges and explains that the stylist has spent time selecting the items. I ended up keeping a necklace just so I would not lose my $20 styling fee. I talked to customer service and they let me try again with no fee.

They sent me clothes that I signed up to receive and they are paying any return shipment. I've received 2 shipments to date, all items are from China. I live in the Midwest, so my review may be different from someone in NYC. But for me, the quality of the clothes haven't been any different than what I can buy at my local Walmart but they come with a big city price. The pricing for the service is fair; you pay $20 for the styling fee, but can then use that $20 as credit towards anything you choose to buy. The items that they send seem to be $40 or higher, which is a little out of my price range, but the stylist that I've worked with has done an absolutely incredible job listening to my feedback and has sent me some beautiful items that I love.

I've had to contact customer service twice three times, and each time it has been a very pleasant experience. The first time, I had a question about the charges on my account and the customer service representative gave me a very detailed answer and made sure that all of my questions and concerns were addressed. The second time, I was late sending in the return box and the representative very quickly extended my due date for the box with no problem. The third time, I noticed a tear in an item the first time I wore it, and the customer service representative refunded the cost of the item and let me keep it to donate/throw away/repair.

All in all, I feel that this subscription service isn't for everyone, especially if you're pretty good with finding items for yourself in stores and don't necessarily need the curated style box or don't have the room in your budget, but for what it is, I have had nothing but positive experiences with this company and find that it's a great service for what it claims to be. I have currently put my subscription on pause for financial reasons, however I look forward to going back to the service again.

I am impressed that someone who has never met me got even two pieces right AND I really like the jeans and jacket, I could wear them to dinner, an interview (I work in a creative field), work. I'm a plus size and often find folks who aren't don't quite get how to dress me but the jeans were super flattering and comfortable. I didn't want some big tent. The jacket was fitted and IT FIT! Karl Lagerfeld to boot. I felt a few pieces were really cheaply made, I returned them. I'm curious how the jeans will hold up, they seem very thin but they're comfortable and cute. So far so good.

I have only received one package, but I'm absolutely certain that my stylist thoroughly read my profile. Yay! I was as detailed as possible, and I measured myself from head to toe so that I got everything right for them. I left "comments" about my previous problems with clothes, how I have struggled with finding jeans that fit me, and that I prefer more modest clothes, and I described my lifestyle and work environment.

I specifically asked for no pink tones whatsoever. I was very specific about a lot of things, and I did the "style app" for them to see what stuff I like and dislike. I talked about fashion trends that I would love to adventure into. I also have a really big Pinterest board that I have been using for two years, so I think they got an idea of my style! The stylist delivered! My package was all casual clothes, and everything fit me perfectly, if not, it was just minor sizing problems that I expected.

Unfortunately, even though I put "The cheaper, the better" for my preferred price range, all of the items were from 38$-70$... And I just don't have that kind of money right now. I'm okay with buying expensive, good quality clothes, but I guess I should just stick to goodwill and bargain hunting. That said, If I had the money, I would buy all of the things I was sent. Unfortunately I will be return mailing them all back tomorrow. All of the items I was sent were high-quality, I felt like I was ordering Coach, or handmade local boutique clothing. However, now that I know my exact sizing and what I really love, shopping will be easier for me from now on!

I am a petite and requested 1) Petite sizes and 2) No busy patterns. Well, I got NO petite-sized items. And of the 4 items for the torso (2 tops and 2 sweaters) - yep, you guessed it, patterns on every single one. Plus the items were not attractive at all. So disappointed. Wondering if they just run things through a computer and hope for the best. And now having trouble canceling my account. Never again.

My daughter orders from Stitch Fix and has my grandson on her account. I received my grandson's clothes and was very impressed with so much clothes, 3 different types of pants... Example: jean, khaki, sweatpants, pull-over sweatshirt. 4 different types of shirts... Example: dress shirt button down, sports shirt, button down corduroy shirt, short sleeve polo type shirt and a pair of Tom's sneakers all for $166. So far so good, no complaints here. I love the selection and variety of colors and how well packaged everything was. My grandson looks adorable in his new clothes. I can't to see what he gets next month!

I've received THREE Stitch Fix boxes so far. I've actually really loved the clothes I've received and have kept a minimum of 3 things from each box. But, my complaint is this... My boxes have gotten more expensive each time. Example: I bought a pair of skinny jeans from the first box for $44. My second box had another pair of skinny jeans for $54, and my third box has a pair of skinny jeans for $64! Come on... that's not a coincidence. It's as if once they find the things you really like, the price keeps climbing? Has anyone else had this issue?

I was excited to receive my first Stitch Fix box, but I was disappointed to find the contents contained clothes I do not wear and had indicated in the stylist questionnaire. I did not feel any effort was put into "my" box, but I had to pay a stylist fee even though I did not like anything in the box. I cancelled the subscription and will not be recommending it to anyone.

I notified them of a slight issue with one of the pieces they sent me. I did it so they could fix it moving forward. I didn't think there was anything to do about my current situation. But when I told Stitch Fix of the problem, they immediately apologized and refunded me! They sounded more upset than I did! This just proves they are willing to go above and beyond to keep their customers happy. Very rare nowadays! I'm so happy I chose this company for my styling needs!

Pretty easy, online questions. I like having someone suggesting new styles I wouldn't normally try. Also, I like the ability to return them if I don't like them and the variety of choices available. Giving updates on what I like and don't like, what works and doesn't work, I could make adjustments as needed. Figuring out my style and what I like through a variety of pictures as well as descriptions. It was nice to not be able to go to the store to have to try everything on while dragging my kids around with me. It was fun to wait for my package, like getting a gift! But sometimes the products seem to be low quality, I felt like I ended up returning more than I kept because the cost wasn't worth it. It's too expensive in the end.

The most helpful thing that any of these services could do is give you a live person to speak with that actually is a stylist or has some knowledge about clothing or the clothing offered by the website. I do not feel that it is a real stylist. I think that it is all computer-generated and a bunch of crap. If there really was a stylist why didn't I get their name, why wouldn't they asked me to describe how I like to look, and I wouldn't have to be shown pictures of clothes and asked which one I like better. Just showing me pictures of clothes and asking me if I like them or not does not determine what I like. If you want to really understand how someone likes to dress you need to ask them to explain it to you otherwise you're just making a generalized assumption.

I loved how easy and simple it was to sign up online. Fill out information about yourself and answer all the detailed questions they provide. There are options to customize your options and I was very satisfied. I liked how I could pick when I wanted deliveries. I also like that it was customized to me and if I didn't like something I could return it and get feedback from my stylist about what could have been better. However, I wish that you didn't lose $20 if you didn't order anything. I would like more one on one talk with the stylists. Wish they provided bigger clothing sizes and they would do a men's line. I get to cover the cost of shipping but since I'm not picking out the clothes I didn't find it fair I had to pay for them not picking out good items. Also I wish the pricing of items was cheaper. Even after picking cheap as possible items were still pretty pricey.

I just got my first Fix and I loved every piece. It was exactly what I was hoping for! Styles that I would not have chosen on my own, but look great, fit well and freshen up my existing wardrobe. I am really pleased with this service! Initially I thought the stylist would not find the right fit because I did not enter my exact measurements or the right find the style, but it was perfect. The jeans fit amazing. The tops and dress are super cute. All that is missing are shoes. Really wish you had shoes in my size. It would put it over the top. Stitch Fix has allowed me to see my style with fresh eyes.

Usually shopping is much fun for me. End up kind of bummed out because things don't fit right, but Stitch Fix has made shopping easy and not only painless, but super fun. Can't wait to show off my new clothes at work. However, when I went to wear one of the tops it was coming apart at the seam. It's a fine fabric and it looks like it raveled at the edge of the seam. I love the top and it fits so nicely but am so disappointed I didn't notice before. I still wore it under a sweater.

The clothing seemed to be of good quality as well. But the price is a little bit much and that's why I chose the 3 month subscription. Also didn't like how you have to buy the whole box to get deals. I would like to see a texting feature where your stylist is available on the go. Overall, it's an intuitive style for dummies. It is very easy to get started and the stylist was very helpful. You go online and sign up by registering an account. You then personally pick between a few different styles that is supposed to help Stitch Fix customize it to you. I like that clothes are delivered to your house to try on which makes it easy because sometimes it is a hassle to go to the department store and pick out different clothes just to find out none of them fit you. Also it's very busy at the department store so getting your clothes delivered to you allows you to really take a look at it and even wear it for a little bit if you want. However, it didn't seem personalized. I had my Pinterest account linked up that has a separate section of clothing that I like. They kept giving me baggy tops. It was the same styles over and over again. It seemed very boring and cookie cutter. I think that they don't have enough time to research what clothes someone personally likes because the stylist always changes so no one gets to know you. They have to start over every month.

They always make sure to pick out stylish things that I like and that fit me perfectly. I would probably prefer to just buy clothes in stores for this reason. I guess it depends on the situation. Getting started is so easy! The website walks you through everything and you can choose to customize a lot. I am mostly satisfied with what is sent to me but a lot of it is plain and not as interesting as I'd normally like. Although all in all a good service and definitely worth, I would change the shipping and delivery/return methods. I know it's impossible or close to it to have everything happen within a days time like sending something back and receiving next within a day but that would be great and make me much more likely to use this service again.

They did an amazing job picking just the right pieces for me. However, the prices are extremely high and makes shopping the never ending one day sales at department stores a little more enticing. They need to offer a max price per piece setting for I myself like sales. The prices per piece were ridiculously overpriced. The pieces were beautiful though. Whether for work whether for casual they go into a lot of depth. Not something I usually do when I pick out clothes so this is a good thing. While I find them involved and game changer, they need more options as far as boot cut jeans or straight leg pants, button-down blouses or pull over blouses, sweaters. As far as them picking out direct outfits for me is fine because I'm not very good at that.
