Terrible company, they trick you into a monthly fee and then don't let you know they're billing you. I used them once to mail one packaged for $10 then they continued to charge me $20 a month without letting me know they were doing it.

I would give no stars whatever if that were an option. Browsing their website for Forever stamps (and there were none), I was lured into giving my credit card information upfront. There was NEVER any upfront information regarding a recurring subscription fee. Only after checking them out further online, did I realize this is a SCAM and cancelled the membership the same day. How do they get away with this for so many years, and who in their right mind would use them?!

I have been using Stamps.com for many years for both personal and business. In February 2024 I decided to close my stamps.com account. I had a credit balance remaining and searched everywhere on the website for a way to request a refund, to no avail. I called the company directly to request the refund and was told my request was submitted and a refund would be issued back to my card within 4 - 6 weeks. It has now been 8 weeks, I have made several follow up calls and still no refund. I cannot believe how poorly the company interacts with their customers and how difficult they make it to receive a simple refund, quite frankly it seems intentional. I would not recommend stamps.com, there are other companies out there who offer the same service without the problems.

Software is buggy. Printing multiple shipping labels at a time, it would lock up and not print but charge the account. So needed to buy more postage. When I closed the account on 12/16/23 it had a $900.38 postage balance. Endicia's site says refunds take 6-8 weeks. It's been 12 weeks. I just got an email from "the office of the President of Stamps.com." They are so sorry, this refund will take ANOTHER 6-10 WEEKS. Don't know if I'll ever see this money. So I shipped my two packages when it was pretty easy to ship them so now a month later I see a charge for $20 on my bank statement. Sure enough they slept in us to subscription without me knowing it must have been in the fine print or something when I ship those two darn packages. So just beware just go on USPS.com and ship your packages avoid any kind of subscription. Also now that it's past the probably the month they're probably going to charge me another $20 for the month before so that'll be 40 bucks plus whatever I paid to ship two packages. This is ridiculous! I rarely ever ship any packages and would never agree to pay 20 bucks a month for the subscription that I would never use.

I have used Stamps.com for a few years now. I connected it through my Shipstation account for my business and have spent thousands of dollars on shipping labels through them. Upon taking a closer look at my recent transactions, I noticed quite a few "adjustments" in my transaction history. Some of these include a shipping label that cost $11.88 to ship a set of Rainbow High Dolls having an additional $29 added to it, making the total cost over $40. A coffee maker having an additional $51 added to it. A blanket I had made an accurate 15lb label for having an additional $10 thrown on there. Just so many "additions" that don't even seem reasonable or feasible.

I could understand a few packages where I didn't take my scale or something like that but it is just adjustment after adjustment after adjustment. It honestly is starting to seem like a scam they run hoping you don't notice. Unfortunately I fell into the "convenience" of having the accounts connected and it just auto-charging my business credit card. I would advise against using them unless you have the free time to pour over your transaction history constantly and go through disputing half of your transactions.

I signed up last year and knew about the monthly fee, It’s now 19.xx a month. So the billing cycle is on my calendar for the 13th of every month. These jokers always bill out a few days ahead of that. I knew I was going to cancel. So I called the issuer of my credit card, and ordered a new card. Insisted on a new number not just changing the expiration date. As somehow they figure that one out and the charge goes through. Anyway the new card is in hand. Cancelled the service online, got the sorry you leaving email, and a few days later I get the email my card is not authorizing the charge on. Yes, that’s the scam they are running.

I cancelled before the next billing cycle. I suggest anyone doing business with these folks to use a credit card that you can reload or one that you can easily cancel, as what happened above will happen to you. Also, before you cancel you should burn off your account funds too. Otherwise you’ll never get that back either. They do have a clause stating the threshold of what gets refunded. Mistakes take forever to fix. The 7 days they tell you is a complete false.

Stamps.com is a company that is an approved licensed vendor of the USPS, it is NOT the USPS. It's not clear when you're using this mailing solution that you are being charged $17,99 a month for a membership to Stamps.com above and beyond your postage. As a result, I have paid approximately $60 for printing five first-class .60 stamps over the past three months.

The website is easy to use and convenient, but not appropriate for my mailing volume. The membership fee is in the fine print and you are charged for a "default" membership (meant for basic commercial use). The "default" membership fee is too high for a individual customer. They shouldn't be sending trial packets to residential addresses and charging a "default" membership fee for a public entity. The only notice of this automatic membership charge is buried deep in the "terms and conditions" for using the website. You willing give them your payment information thinking that it will be used to pay for postage, and then you get charged a monthly fee that is not mentioned in the introductory packet at all. It is shady at best! Beware!

I have spent thousands of dollars with this company as I mail out a lot each year. It annoys me that the rates change and if you print a whole sheet and did not finish your work that day and the rates change from one day to the next, they do not honor the stamp value based on the barcode when it was printed. So now you have to spend another sheet and more money plus their stupid membership fee and add a new stamp with the 3 cents they are missing even though you printed it before the rate increase and they do not work like forever stamps.

You actually do not save money they do not do refunds so make sure you only put what you will be spending. I used to put quite a lot of money in my account as I was spending it but now I have to wait to spend it because they will not refund what is in there. Four months ago I was trying to buy a shipping stamp for a package from the USPS website and it seemed that the only option for me was to click on a link that took me to Stamps.com. Then I realized that I had to open an account, which I did. After looking further into it I decided it would be easier to go to the post in person and ship my package. Fast forward four months and I see a recurring bill charge for $17.99 on my VISA bill from Stamps.com which unfortunately I had missed on the previous 3 statements. When I called the company I was told the charge was the base service fee for having an account, whether you use it or not. Apparently I had missed the fine print.

First I was told there could not be any refunds, then they started to negotiate with me and offered to refund the last bill and waive the upcoming billing (I should say). Since I wasn't very happy with the deal they then decided to refund the last two charges. Not what I expected but thank you very much. The person I talked to was very nice and apologetic (obviously not from the US) something I can't say for the company policy.

I never used the service but I ended paying $35.98 for the pleasure of storing my personal information and credit card number on their servers for 4 months. Plus I spent 40 minutes on the phone, so I should send them a bill for my time which would come to $50 and another $25 for my time writing this review. Moral of the story, check your recurring bills on your credit card statements.

I run an ecommerce store and ship with Shipstation every day. When purchasing a shipping label through Shipstation it is purchased through my Stamps.com account. I attempted to purchase a shipping label as normal. After making the purchase, I did not receive the label. I figured this was an error of some kind and that the purchase had not actually been completed, so I attempted again and it failed a second time. I later received two purchase confirmations from stamps.com for these labels, both of which I never received. I contacted stamps.com via email, explaining the situation. I received a boilerplate email with a tutorial on how to request a refund for labels purchased through stamps.com. The problem is that there are no labels to refund. They don't exist. So I called stamps.com, and again explained the situation.

The representative could not find the labels and thus could not refund them to me. They then told me my only option was to dispute the charges with my credit card provider. I then disputed the charges as I was told to do. I received an email from stamps.com explaining how my account was now on hold because of the two chargebacks they received. This is a huge issue because I ship every day for my small business.

I immediately called stamps.com and they then told me that there were only two options, email their resolution department, or pay back the chargebacks... Like I have mentioned twice in this review, I ship every day for my business and my account being on hold is a major problem. The only real option for me, if I wanted to fulfill all of my customers orders in any timely manner, was the give in and pay them the money not to mention an additional 3% charge... Now, I still have a hold on my account for 2 to 24 hours, and I haven't received any real help and I'm out even more money. I am severely disappointed with how this was handled. I have not had an issue like this before after shipping through stamps.com every day since 2014. I will be exploring alternatives.

I have to update the driver for their app on my NEW Mac almost every time I launch it. When you click to do their update from their website, you lose the "reprint" button therefore you lose the stamps you're trying to print.

To get a refund it's a complete JOKE! The customer support team told me I have to rip out 20 blank labels that I paid for, fill out a form, pay for more postage to mail them to them as "proof" and THEN I can get refunded my money lost and they'll send me new labels back. How does this save time or money VS going to the post office and getting what you paid for???? How in 2022 can they not see on their end that THEIR WEBSITE gave the error before printing requiring me to update first and then not allowing me to reprint, yet go through a tedious refund process and still end up with no stamps?! This process and support are terrible.

I will go back to the old way until I find a much better company. Buyer beware! You'll pay $19.99 per month for NOTHING but headaches and you'll lose postage money almost every time unless you are willing to make it more work for yourself by filling out forms, mailing in countless ruined labels and waiting weeks for a refund. Every time I've tried to print out a shipping label - which I've done THOUSANDS OF TIMES over the past 8 years or so - different error messages keep popping up, my contacts can NOT be put in a consistent order, international labels give a message that I am printing multiple labels when I am not.

The past two weeks has had these same issues whether I use my office PC, my laptop or my wife's brand spanking new desktop PC! At first I found work-arounds, put after 1 or 2 labels, they too fall victim to the same error messages from their site. I've talked to them, I have even let them take control remotely of my PC - and each time it's either "we're aware of the issue and are working on it" or I get an email that says: "all fixed!" And no, no it's not. I going to use ship station through Paypal from now on or at least to they hire people based on their aptitude and not their "wokeness."

You don't even realize that you are signing up for a subscription service. They charged my credit card for four months, before I realized what had happened. I requested a full refund and they complied. I am very disappointed.

Like many others, I entered CC info for a one time transaction two years ago to see if Stamps.com could help with some holiday mailers I had to send out. Then, without my knowledge or authorization, they enrolled me in the pro plan for $17.99 per month after the 'trial' ended. Yes, they list this stipulation in their fine print but they never send monthly invoices and don't show the charges easily on their site under the billing section. It is a small monthly charge but I finally noticed it after over two years and several hundred dollars in charges. Upon calling them, they made it very hard to cancel membership and did not offer any consideration or credits for the months billed. They stated that they do not send monthly invoices (like every other online service I use) because they don't want to "bog down their users inboxes". Sounds more like their business model is built on reoccurring charges that many consumers don't notice on their statements.

If you fail to print correctly then you 1) are not eligible for any refund at all even if absolutely nothing was printed on the stamps and the paper is pristine (simply because you opened the package of stamp paper) and 2) you must fill out forms, mail said forms and blank stamp pages to the government to get refunded for purchase of postage that never printed. I purchased with a 1 month free trial, but then began getting recurring monthly charges without approving. Could have also been my fault, may have been in the fine print. Anyway, I closed my account with Stamps.com as soon as I realized this was going on. I had not yet printed my stamps. I tried to go onto stamps.com and find a way to print them but could not. Called customer service who told me I could not print them since I had closed my account. What?! It had been 21 days since my purchase of the stamp sheets. I asked to return them for a refund and was told they could not do that since I had closed my account. I said, "You have my credit card and my order number, SO seriously, work with me...Either allow me to print what I've purchased or refund my money."

I asked to speak with a manager. I was put on hold 7 times while the rep spoke with his supervisor. After 41 minutes, I was finally told they were going to email me a return shipping label. Of course, I have to pay the 4+ dollars in shipping. While I obtained some semblance of resolution, I certainly will not do business with them again.

Used sample print before completing the purchase to verify the label would fit on the regular printer paper, but when I completed the label purchase, the print preview changed to print the label on half of the page. Once you make any adjustments to the print setup you CANNOT reprint and must request a refund that takes the post office 2-3 weeks to approve and then another 4-6 weeks for the money to be returned. Customer service closed on the weekend so no support!

I'll be reporting this scam to my bank and the BBB. Why would you change my printer settings so you can purposely take my $ in hopes I'll likely forget in 8+ weeks. On top of that my card was charged 4 times for 1 label! NEVER AGAIN And I've used many eCommerce sites that email you the label so you have more than one chance to print it in case something goes wrong. In this case, it is obvious they set it up like that for a reason...to take your $... OH and to tip it off I clicked the button the cancel, received confirmation I canceled my trial...and then got an email saying thanks for upgrading from the 17.99 to the 24,99 package and I will be charged today so I literally canceled my account and was told I upgraded instead!!!!

I cancelled my account the day before the next subscription and they still charged me for the month but at double the cost ($36.34). When I contacted them via email they sent me a statement and noted that it was because I had not paid previous months. One of those months is for the upcoming month (which is what I canceled) and the second for July. Yet I have the bank statement and my expense report on stamps.com shows that I paid so I’m still unsure of how they came up with that information.

After not getting another response I finally called stamps.com only for them to tell me that I was still charged for the upcoming month yet I can’t even use the services. Stamps.com free 28 day trial is misleading and technical glitches are horrible, buyer beware. The company doesn’t notify you before charging your credit card for the $17.99 monthly charge. It is not clear when you sign up for the trial that you will be charged for the 28 day “free” trial period if you don’t cancel. I only thought I would be charged for the months following the free trial if I didn’t cancel.

When my “free” trial started I did a test print before printed the actual label. The test print label is not usable and actually says VOID. The system charged me for the test print, which shouldn’t happen. I spent almost 45 minutes on hold to reach customer service. They wanted me to mail the test print label in order to credit my account the $3.33 I was charged. I asked if I could scan it and email, but they said it had to be mailed. After much back and forth, they agreed to issue a credit to my Stamps.com account.

Multiple times over the next few weeks I tried to print another label and kept getting an message that my account was locked and to contact customer service. The final time was a Friday night and the company is not reachable on weekends. The following week, I attempted repeatedly to contact customer service with messages of long hold times and was unable to reach a person. At this point, I wanted to cancel my account, but there is no way to do this through the website. I discovered they charged my credit card for $17.99. I sent emails and continued to try and reach customer service by phone to cancel my account.

After over 45 minutes on hold one day, I finally reached a customer service person, she was very rude and just kept repeating “just because you don’t use the service, you still have to pay the monthly charge.” I kept explaining my account was locked and I COULD NOT use the service and I had tried repeatedly to reach someone to cancel before the 28 days “free” trial ended. This went on for quite some time, I asked for a supervisor, she said it wasn’t possible. Finally after 20 minutes of getting nowhere with her, she said she was going to put me on hold and message a supervisor. She came back on the line and said they would credit the $17.99 and any un-used postage. I had over $11 in postage, including that $3.33 credit for the test label. She confirmed my account would be closed and no further charges would occur.

Over a month later I had not received any credit or refund and received an email about another charge for a partial month. I called Stamps.com again and there was no record of my previous conversation or refunds I was supposed to get. I was told I would only receive a refund for the un-used postage (not including the $3.33 credit.) At this point I opened a dispute with my credit card company for the $17.99, but most likely will not get a refund for the over $11 in postage. The Better Business Bureau should be investigating this company.

I was charged AGAIN in December, and when I called once more, I spoke to someone higher up who said that whoever put things through before didn't process it correctly, so I had been charged. She assured me that I would not be charged again, and that no other account with my information or my husband's information existed. This WOULD be the end of it.

I have been charged again this January, and have just resorted to blocking them through my bank. The $33 is worth not having to basically yell at someone for not following through and/or being awful at their job. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A STAMPS.COM ACCOUNT. There are other better services out there that won't mess up your account and charge you for 6 months after you've closed your account.

There is NOTHING on the account page that indicates a monthly charge. There is no email confirming the monthly charge. They bill and hope you don't notice. When I called them out, they quickly offered a free "basic" service. This must happen all the time as they trap more unsuspecting people in a monthly fee. DO NOT give these thieves your credit card. This company should be called Stamps.CON. After reading other reviews, I see that, unfortunately, my terrible experience with Stamps.com is common. My saga started when I ran out of stamps, and remembered that I had a page of print-at-home stamps I'd received in the mail from Stamps.com. I thought avoiding a trip to the post office sounded good, so I entered my credit card card information to access the service. I then tried printing postage on the trial page of stamps. The template for printing was off, and the free stamps were unusable, but stupidly, I kept trying. I ended up paying $9.90 to print stamps on another page. However, once again, they printed incorrectly, resulting in paid for, but unusable postage.

Frustrated, I gave up on using this service, completed a refund request form, and mailed it with the sheet of misprinted postage. I assumed I'd get a credit for $9.90 in a few months and that would be the end of it. I want to point out the irony of my having to purchase a stamp to request a refund from an online postage provider.???

I was wrong when I assumed the refund request was the end of things. A few weeks later, I saw a charge from Stamps.com for $17.99 on my credit card statement, followed soon after by a second $17.99 charge. I spent an hour on the phone with my credit card company to file a fraud claim because I thought my account info had been stolen. The credit card agent suggested I contact Stamps.com to inquire about the charge since I had used them in the past. Lo and behold, when I looked at my Stamps.com account, I saw that I had been signed up for a free trial that switched to a monthly service (with a $17.99 monthly charge) without my knowledge.

After going through a convoluted process of contacting customer service, I was told they would only refund one of the monthly charges. I was mad, but figured I'd put it behind me, lesson learned. Then, this morning, I received an email from Stamps.com denying my refund request for the misprinted postage. Unbelievable. Using Stamps.CON ended up costing me $28.44, yet I received no product or service, AND I wasted several hours of my life trying to sort things out. This is not a legitimate company - just buy through USPS!!

They then charged me twice and when I called to cancel a very nice woman transferred me to a very rude woman who refused to let me speak or refund the money. So not only was I not credited for 1.5 months of this service that we didn't use, I was also treated very poorly by "customer service". Do yourself a favor and go to the post office.

The website is always abysmally slow to use but the final straw was waiting 30 minutes for the label I paid for to generate. Then hit refresh, tried again, after another 10 minutes of waiting, I called customer service, ended up on hold for another 20 (btw all this time the label still didn't generate). But, while I waited I went to Pitney Bowes, signed up for their free trial, printed the labels and everything went smoothly, their website was fast, easy to navigate so of course I promptly hung up on Stamps.com and I. I'm canceling my service with them today and going forward with Pitney Bowes. There are more than enough competitors to choose from so I highly recommend using something other than Stamps.com. I just assumed they would give me a heads up before a monthly bill was charged like other companies do. Well I checked my bank statement and it said that I was charged $19.20 by Stamps.com.

I was finally given the option of cancelling my account, which made me believe they purposefully left the option out of my account during my free trial so that they could charge me. After cancelling my account I received an email saying that they were refunding me for any unused credit. However, when I checked my bank account again I still didn't have a refund and now they were charging me more money for God knows what. Now 2.5 years later my credit card is suddenly charged for 2.5 years worth of monthly service fee that I never even knew about. Yes, I somehow (unknowingly) agreed to a monthly service fee of $14 that I would be obligated to pay--even if I was not buying anything from them. And of course I would never agree to paying $14 a month to buy postage since it is free everywhere else and, I don't mail very many packages.

For 2.5 years, I never got any notice from stamps.com to pay a continuing monthly fee. After my first purchase, there was never any further purchase of postage from stamps.com. I can barely afford to buy chemotherapy drugs and pay for the piles of doctor visits and tests. We don't even buy cable TV or other frivolous things. And here I am being ripped off by a business that is stealing hundreds of dollars from me and my family--for absolutely no product or service. Now for the enraging part. Weeks later I finally save up enough to pay for my tuition, I go to pay for the semester and find out that stamps.com had deliberately taken $18 out of my bank account for "Service Fees". I investigate and it turns out this happens a lot, they send you a free welcome package and never mention that they've signed you up for their $18 a month plan. If this weren't a "legitimate" company then you could easily and correctly call this a scam.

For the record, this $18 a month plan gives you nothing in return for your money unless you utilize the service. So I more or less ripped a 20 dollar bill in half before throwing it away. How about ZERO stars? NEGATIVE stars? In 35 years on the internet I have NEVER encountered such a poorly designed service or a more enraging experience. If the service Stamps.com offers was provided reliably and consistently it would be a huge convenience. But the application was designed and written either by an idiot or someone deliberately malicious.

Just the most RECENT example: I could not enter my account today. The error message offered no reason, suggesting I reset my password. Resetting my password proved impossible: the same error message reappeared, and after three tries I gave up. Three hours later, waiting for customer service, speaking to two different representatives both of whom were baffled, and finally a tech person, we (the techie and I) discovered my account was "blocked." WHY COULDN'T THE ORIGINAL ERROR MESSAGE HAVE SAID SO, AND PROVIDED A REMEDY? Ten more minutes later I heard a click and then my dial tone: the connection was broken. I immediately received an auto-response email of apology, asking sweetly that I call customer service "whenever you have the availability."

This was not the first encounter with customer service. Other times I have waited on hold for nearly two hours. I have sent two emails complaining about defective printing products and have yet to receive a response (let alone a refund). The program itself is full of weird ambiguities and inconsistent menus. When you finally resort to trial-and-error you pay dearly for the errors. The first time I purchased new postage the request triggered a "suspicious activity" alert on my credit card: the charge was not remotely associated with stamps.com, so I refused it. And that voided my credit card, a huge annoyance by any measure. And how about this? If you want to schedule a front door pickup of your package, click on the menu button "History." She told me that she would close the account immediately and then I asked if they could refund any of the charges because I didn't authorize them and didn't use the account ever and she said that she could give me 2 months refund which would be $35.

At this point I was just happy that they were closing the account and it would be the end of the $17.99/mo charge and $35 was enough to satisfy me, but like all bad stories this didn't actually happen... The account is still open and I have now been charged 17.99 3 times this month on 6/1, 6/10, and 6/11. I have been waiting on hold to talk to someone for over an hour now to get this to stop... they are going to send my account in the hole if they don't stop charging me. I have wrote them 2 e-mails and no one has wrote me back. I need this to stop... I cannot afford $17.99 a month let alone $53.97 and literally if they charge me one more time this week it will overdraft my account.

I echo the comments here calling Stamps.com a scam. Absolutely the worst consumer website experience ever. The website requires a credit card and then does not allow online cancellation (it purports to, but the navigation doesn't work). And to add insult to injury, you cannot take advantage of their "$5 of free postage" offer because they place your account on hold, and the only way to release the hold is to spend an hour on the phone with them.

I am an experienced web user and don't get scammed very often, however I believe I have been in a big way by Stamps.com. I signed up online because I believed it may stop me from having to order stamps all the time from Amazon, and I believed I put in my credit card details when I believed I was about to purchase something, which I ended up not doing. There was nothing to lead me to believe I had signed up for a 17.99 a month subscription, which is why I never bothered to check up on it.

Just over three months later I find out that they have taken 17.99 a month from me. It's bad enough that I had not been on the site since that fateful day, but on going back in to try and seek help I decided to look around and try and figure out what exactly I was getting charged for... And I couldn't find out anything. So basically I hadn't used the site, I hadn't ordered anything, yet I was still being charged. On trying to seek help I received absolutely no response at all, which doesn't surprise me. And the final kick in the teeth was when I finally cancelled the subscription and then they locked me out of the account so I couldn't contact support anymore, then they prorated the days this month that I hadn't been using the account and charged me even more money. I see that USPS finally found a way to be profitable...at my expense.

I found Stamps.com while looking for a way to sign up to print postage online. Nowhere in the process does it mention a subscription. I thought they requested my credit card information to make paying for postage easier each time I ordered. The whole site appears to look like you can pay as you need. Turns out that not the case. I just happened to be looking through my account info and believe me it was buried away under a multitude of screen clicks where I discovered they had signed me up for a monthly subscription of 17.99 a month which is their cheapest plan. I stumbled across this entirely by chance. This is shady and unethical as far as I am concerned.

Subscription plan enrollment should be on the main page before they take your card information. I cancelled immediately. I see they have already put a hold on my bank account for a dollar even though I am supposedly in the free trial period. In a subsequent email after cancelling it says they do not return that hold charge. Sure it is just a dollar for me but how much is the company making scamming everyone either monthly charges they weren't informed of and didn't agree to or a dollar each time sometime catches on to their scam early. Bad business. Whether they provide a good service or not is irrelevant at this point. I won't do business with a company that recruits members in such an underhand and sleazy way.

Then I reprint again it does the same thing. Then I go to close my account, it says it charge me for three labels even though I was just trying to reprint my label. I then go to cancel my account, and call to verify that I will get my money back. I’m put on hold for 30 minutes. The employee cannot verify anything for me, so I asked for a supervisor, they put me on hold again for who knows how long I was on the phone 30 minutes before I hung up and then contacted them by email. That was in January, come December, looking at budgets I notice we are still getting charged $35/month for Stamps.com.

I called them and they said no, it's still active. Mind you not one cent has been charged for a full year but they happily keep charging for it. That's just fraud. We finally got them to refund 6 months worth but that's not the point. WHY would we keep a stamps.com account open with NO POSTAGE in the account for a year with another account with them that is active and being used? Either they have extremely poor systems there or they want to hook you in as long as they can for the cash. The fee was being auto deducted out of our checking account like postage, that's why no one figured it out. My suggestion, if you stop stamps.com inform the back to block all charges from them.

I signed up to Stamps.com about an hour ago, for our small business. About a half-hour later, I changed my mind. Went under "manage my account" and clicked cancel. Got the phone number to call, although they are closed at this hour. Suddenly, it logged me out and upon trying to log back in with my password (which was auto-saved in my computer, and which is one that I always use for our business accounts), it gave me an "incorrect password" message. Hmmmm. Ok, let me try to reset it. Entered my business email address, received the email, and it asked me two questions, both of which were ones I DID NOT use as my retrieval questions. WTF. If they charge me a DIME, I will call BoA and have this charge reversed. Just now seeing everyone's nightmares, although for different reasons (like another reviewer said, NOTHING in life is free and it states on their site that there is a monthly charge to use their services), but I feel scammed at this point.

Although, I was aware of this feature, I had never used it until July of 2019. I printed three FedEx labels and used two of these to ship packages to different locations. One label, I cancelled and claimed a refund.

I learnt nearly six weeks later that one of the two packages which I had dropped at a nearby FedEx center, never got delivered. I contacted Stamps.com; the officials were courteous and were with me on phone for almost an hour but couldn’t find those numbers. There were no charges for the printed labels and no refund for the cancelled label. One package got delivered free of charge and the other lost without a trace. Anything that was previously offered "free" on their sales page is not free - you have to pay a "shipping and handling fee" to get it. It would have felt like an infomercial, except with infomercials they tell you right up front about the "processing fee" BEFORE you enter your credit card purchase. Seems to me that this type of deceptive conduct would be in violation state consumer protection laws.

Problem 1) They charged me for a monthly service and at the first days I asked to cancel my account, they did it but they didn't refund anything for the remaining of the 30 days I paid for.

Problem 2) I asked for a refund of a label I didn't use and they approved my refund, so far so good, the problem is that the money never came to my Balance and also never came to my bank account.

Problem 3) The phone support is really bad, they keep transferring the call to another attendee and you have to explain all the problems again and again to each person that takes your call. I like Stamps.com as the software, seems comprehensive in providing a range of USPS service options and pricing. It would be nice if the software was a bit more intuitive for a dummy like me. I find I have to keep checking to see if I am printing a label or stamp before I print. I think I'm printing one but it might be the other. Maybe it's just me, but the procedure seems awkward and I often have to hit reprint (recommended by Stamps.com) to correct my error. Also, I use Google Chrome on Office 365 and when I think everything is right and hit print on the Stamps.com software, I then have to hit print on the 365 program and sometimes what I think is going to print, based on visualizing the screen in the Stamps.com software, instead prints the stamp image at 90 degrees or misses the expected label location on their stamp blanks.

I have had some assistance from their customer service people who have been very helpful. But due to the nature of my work, I print things in batches, and then maybe don't use it for a week or two. When I go to use it, I sometimes forget exactly what I am supposed to do and get screwed up. Again, maybe it is me, but on other types of applications, I don't seem to have this problem as things just seem more intuitive.

Although this product can be extremely helpful and reduce trips to the Post Office, it can also be extremely frustrating and cost money when stamps are incorrectly printed, or not printed on the proper "stamp template" despite your best efforts on the on screen prompts. Also frustrating is the need for two different login screens to access the digital scale and then actually print the stamps. WHY? Can't the system have one simple login and then you hook up your scale and immediately start printing stamps?

I've had to restart and/or reload my scale numerous times just to get the scale and Stamps.com screens to communicate properly so I can get it to attempt to print stamps. Then after all that, it won't allow you to choose the tray you have the stamp template in (the default is to automatically select tray...no other option) and often prints to the wrong tray and prints stamps on plain paper. To try and get refunds is not possible through the website, you have to send in copies of your "bad stamps" to the post office for review and then maybe you'll get a refund in who knows how long!

I added the card and then discovered that I had to add money to my account in increments of $25 via the card that I provided. I wasn’t interested in this service as I only wanted to pay for what I actually used and not have my money sitting on an account somewhere. So I logged out without making a purchase.

The next month I received an alert from my credit card company of a $17.99 purchase made at stamps.com. I called them to find out what the charge was for and discovered much to my surprise that when I created the account I had signed up for a subscription service that costs $17.99 per month. The monthly fee does not include any postage or other services. It’s for the privilege of accessing their website where you can pay for US postal shipping labels and then print them from your computer. You pay the monthly fee whether you use the service or not. Later I discovered that they had been billing my credit card $15.99/mo. Nowhere in the promo stuff of their add or when I signed up did I see ANYTHING about a monthly service charge. It was either not there or so small and hidden as to not be viewable. In fact I am reasonably certain that it stated specifically that they would only bill my CC to keep a $20 balance in my account for postage that I used.

The couple of times I tried to use their service it would show a print preview of the postage and address label on the top half of an 8.5 x 11 sheet as I had specified. When I printed it would print a 2" x 3" label in the middle of the page on both halves of the label paper. It was not a printer issue. When I tried to print it again and make it right they billed me for a 2nd mailing. It took days to get that refunded and I could never get it to print like the preview showed. This entire fiasco with Stamps.com was an utter waste of time and money. And now Ive been billed $15.99 for 8 months of service that I never used. I explained I'm an online retailer and can't operate without a scale. So I asked if I could buy a scale from elsewhere and return theirs for a refund. The way stamps.com is set up, the auto weight feature only works with THEIR scales. And they are NOT cheap. My most recent one is an ONYX 70lb which I paid $99. The display stopped working only after three weeks.

You'd think maybe I can just use another non Stamps.com scale and just punch in the weight manually. That slows down our fulfillment as my store does over 50 orders a day and the input fields aren't easy to punch in. But I don't think I have a choice. I'm getting a more affordable, reliable scale from eBay. When I asked for a refund, they do NOT cover the return shipping cost. The shipping cost for the weight of the scale alone is $12.80 priority mail... Out of pocket. So when all is said and done, it's really a $99 minus $12.80 refund. Only after filling out the form was I informed about what their service was. I immediately left the site, not ordering anything. But that didn't matter -merely registering or creating an account WAS buying their service. This wasn't made clear until you had given them your information. But I assumed not completely the registration and actually ordering anything was the end of it.

No. Four months later I got a notice that I somehow inexplicable been unable to bill me for my first two months, but they were generously discounting the second month of service and only charge me for the first month. (I had of course, not used their service. Nor realized I had signed up for it.) I immediately checked my credit card. There was the charge for one month. I immediately went on their site and canceled my account. And wrote telling them I wanted a refund for what they charged me.

To their credit, they did immediately refund me. But it is set up to be deliberately misleading. As I pointed out to them, I know lots of sites that ask you to set up an account before ordering or to facilitate ordering their product. I know of none that decide merely registering or opening an account IS buying their product. If this is their method then that needs to be spelled out clear, boldly and upfront before the customer gives them any information. I would avoid this company. I ended up using PayPal to print my shipping labels and have had zero problems. Stamps.com is incompetent and scammy.

First off, let me start off by saying I fell for the promotion of first month free and forgot (didn't read between the lines) that is was a monthly subscription based service. I never once used the service. After a month I lost my login and secret question would not let me change my password. I kept getting billed over and over. That's when started reading reviews about how people got massive bills and couldn't close account.

My experience. Called Stamps.com customer service (zero hold time at noon CTS). Lady had somewhat broken English but could understand everything I said and very apologetic. I said all I want to do is close the account and not be charged anymore, I don't mind paying the bill because it was my fault for not reading it was reoccurring. She said, "No, I'll stop the account and revert charges." So guys, I have to say my experience was different from most here, but I'd have to give 5 stars for their customer service. Total time on phone was less than 5 mins, and I got confirmation email stating it was closed with zero balance.

Yep I was taken for a ride and I see I'm not the only one... Bought $10 today for my balance to purchase labels then in the middle of the night bam. Got hit with a 17.99 charge and I just added my debit today to purchase the $10 for my balance. Very pissed. Well I guess I won't eat tomorrow since Stamps robbed me of my lunch money!

As others state, you must give your payment info before claiming the "free" stamps for the trial period. Not only was the process to print the "free" stamps so difficult, I nearly gave up. Once I made it thru their cryptic selections and hurdles and printed the test stamps, they wanted to charge for the official stamps that were supposed to be free. When I used the "test" print, they were not aligned even though they were on the first test print. Plus they said VOID. Then I tried to delete my payment information and their site would not allow me to do that. I cancelled my plan and tried again to delete my payment info and now I'm unable to get back into the site. I would like to know how and why the USPS would approve them as a "Licensed Vendor" as they state in their material.
