    This is the second time that Blair increased the charge to my credit card order after I had ordered. Can they even do that? The first time it happened, I contacted them, and they said they’d take my comments into consideration. I was stupid to order again. I guess they figure that, since the increase was only a few dollars, that people won’t bother to go through a complaint process. Buyer beware!

    Apparently Haband has been bought by Blair. I ordered two fleece jackets over a week ago and still have not received anything about shipping. I sent the company an email and they sent me a computerized generated email back. I know that the items will be good because they are Haband items but will I ever receive them? I'm glad I paid with PayPal. I know for sure that I will never buy from this company again.

    This company is a RIPOFF!!! BEWARE!!! Order #: ** | Order date: Mar 27, 2025. Returned item charges a refund fee of $9.95; Returned Refund was supposed to be $8.23 after $9.95 return shipping fee. They only refunded $1.70. These jeans were cut for a fat man weighing 400lbs, although waist & length was correct. Jeans are nothing like the ad photo that I ordered from. And you are charging me $9.95 to return them for refund. I returned them for refund & I'm requested a full refund of $18.18 back to my Paypal account.

    I recently ordered some bras and when I received them, they were not as described in the catalog. I called for assistance in the return. I was advised of 2 separate credits, which was less than the total I paid by about $1, but I didn't argue that point. What I was NOT told, is that a portion of the refund was to be in Store Credit. When I questioned the additional $7.91 that I had not received, is when I was told of the store credit. I advised that the entire payment was on my card, the entire refund should be applied to my card. I advised that I do not want store credit and that I had not been advised of it when working on the return. THIS IS NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I'll not be purchasing anything from Blair in the future.

    Customer service was unreachable. I sent them an email, called twice of which the first time they told me my hold time was 8 hours, I left a message to call me back and NOTHING. My order hadn’t been processed yet and I wanted to change the shoe size and they never responded until one week later, the day of processing, they said they couldn’t change my order because it was now being processed. Unbelievable. They had more than sufficient time to read my email, call me or respond before my order was processed.

    It appears your website is down. We tried many times while we attempted to make an order on the phone. While on the phone, they kept telling you to log in but that was not working. We waited over 1 hour to get to someone to make an order. Many of the items were not available, but we did finally make an order. If you lake Blair be prepared for this wait. Also note we tried the day before and gave up on the phone at 1 1/4 hours.

    On 03/18/25, I ordered two pair of men's PJ's. I received them on 03/25/25 & discovered they are way too big. Their sizing chart is totally off. I returned the items along with the return form & used their return shipping label. They received my item 03/31/25. Today 04/02/25. I received an E-mail stating my items were on clearance & are not returnable. It does not say anything of this matter on my invoice, or the return label. They have my items. I am out $35.00. They stole my money. I have filed a complaint with the BBB. Hopefully I will get my money back. This is a deceptive practice & Deceit by Blair not advising me on my invoice or on the return form or the return shipping label that they provided with the order.

    I tried to place an order March 26, 2025 on line but Blair indicated it was out of stock. So I tried calling to see when the item would be in stock. After many prompts, I waited and waited and finally hung up. Tried again later, same thing but this time I pushed one to have them call me when a representative was available. Again no one called after an hour. Tried again and no return call. Guess Blair doesn't care about customers nor placing orders. Poor poor service.

    Blair’s customer service is, put succinctly, awful. My package has apparently been lost, and I'm being told to contact them. They don't want to hear it until a specific date has passed. I'm not sure what they expect will happen by then, when the courier is saying there's an issue that needs to be resolved with Blair itself.

    I returned a black plaid shirt and a pink mock neck shirt to Blairs to exchange for two quarter zip tops. Unbeknownst to me, the colors I ordered were out of stock. Instead, I received two mock neck tops, one red, scooter red, (?). and the other bright blue. The scooter red top was in packaging that said, " scooter red plaid shirt.. Now, if I return something, I just go online and reorder. I've learned that I can tell if something is out of stock or not by going online.

    I ordered a pair of jeans. I realized after I order them I should have ordered a smaller size so I tried to reach out to them right after I ordered. I was told it was too late for just sending in my order caused it be immediately processed and I could not change or cancel! Their return process is expensive and time consuming since I ordered these around the holidays. I never received confirmation that they got my order via email and never received notice that they were shipped! I did receive them and they are huge and will have no choice but to give them away since I cannot use them! I paid for much needed jeans and received grief and incompetence! So they lost my business! Never again!

    I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND BLAIR! I ordered a sweat shirt that came in a large size when I ordered a medium size. It was obviously way too big. The total cost, including tax and shipping was $41.67. I used their return label and packaging and sent it back the same day that I received it. It was received by Blair, but they only credited my PayPal account $21.27, which of course is more than $20 less than I paid! I spoke to their “customer service” and got nowhere. Needless to say I will never order anything from Blair again!!!! My order was #**. I no longer have the receipt.

    Biggest scam ever. They send bogus tracking that doesn’t work in the USA- They apply artificial scans showing the packages delivered then blame it on local PO. Their customer service is an extension of the scam. Very poor service.

    Received a Blair gift card while in Hospital and post surgery rehab. Has never gone thru. Called, e mailed, etc. many times. Was finally told that the card expired. Not listed anywhere on card. Got a call from someone named MaryAnn, said funds would be added back into. STILL NOT USEABLE.

    Why is it soooo hard to find out WHERE and WHO -actually makes the clothes that Blair sells? When you ask the question, the reply is always the same… basic info… avoiding the question and giving people the impression that they are strictly an American company! I call BULL! Many Decades ago, I bought clothes from them, they were made well, lasted forever and didn’t fade on a first wash.

    If I could give them no stars I would, never deal with this company, opened an account with them and never receive the bill until it is past the due date and keep getting late fee charges. Finally wised up and closed the account and will never deal with them again. They also have people you can't understand worth a darn. Must be from china or something?

    I used to order from Blair quite a few years ago. I decided to order again because I saw an item that I couldn't find on Amazon. It seemed like a good price but then I was charged almost $8.00 for shipping. It took nearly a week for me to get a message their shipped. That was 6 days ago. I got a tracking number and when I look it up it still says it's awaiting carrier pickup. I was told it would ship FedEx but it shows USPS. I have found USPS is not reliable when getting packages. Very disappointed after having paid so much for shipping and don't know where my item is. I will now stick with Amazon. Blair is not the company It used to be.

    I ordered a dress that was advertised to come as true to size. It was not. Much too small. I tried to return the item using the provided return label. When I went to the Post Office I was informed that not only would I be required to pay for the return postage of over $15, but the address on the label was not a viable address for the company. I spoke with a customer service representative who said it was company policy to not send a new, correctly addressed return label but that because I live in Alaska I would have to pay full return postage. Their written, advertised return policy states “items shipped outside the continental United States do not include an easy return label.” Last I heard Alaska was still located on the continent of North America. It may not be contiguous with the lower 48 states but it is on the continent. Not my fault that they don’t know the legal and geographic difference between continental and contiguous.

    The cost to me including Merchandise, shipping and handling was $59.97. They would only refund the cost of the item. Therefore it would cost me their $19.98 s&h plus $15 postage to be refunded $39.99. What kind of baloney is this??? Will never use this company again. Will contact BBB and Yelp to advise of Blair policies.

    I ordered a pair of navy blue crinkle fabric capris size PS.

    1. Too Long [hit at my ankle]
    2. NOT Navy blue, more like Cadet blue.
    3. Too big in the seat, the crotch was too low and the elastic waist was sooo tight.
    4. Fabric is cheap, cotton/poly, I should have know.
    5. Took 13days to get from 'wherever' to NYC.

    6. Now I have to pay $9.99 to ship back this poorly made, incorrectly sized rag!

    Never again. Buyer beware.

    This is my 2nd time getting an order from Blair with an item sent that was their mistake. They wanted to charge me return shipping for their mistake. Then I do the contact us option to get help with the return, but, NO ONE ANSWERS. Several weeks later and 3 emails later, I finally call and get a person, (in both occasions) that tells me the replacement item is no longer available, no surprise, and will refund my money. Bottom line- Their customer service is bad, Their exchange refund policy is bad, and your money and product are tied up for over a month. So, yes, I stopped shopping with Blair.

    I ordered for pair of shoes. I received. Too big. Returned them in next day. I checked in EXCHANGED for correct size I need. The delivery was horrible-too long, too slow!     I tried to order for the first time in many years. They had some really nice fleece jackets and a shirt I wanted. Got all the way thru the process of filling out shipping address and entering my payment method then tried to actually check out. It was very confusing so I called and left my number and a person called me back. He was repeatedly telling me not to do anythng until he instructed me and several times told me that I was having a problem because the process is confusing! I agree. Will not go back again and will mark as spam.

    I love their pants but when I tried to order pants for my mom who has Alzheimer's and can no longer shop in a store, they told me it would cost one thing on the phone and another on the invoice that came up when you check shipping status and another on the order itself and yet another on my credit card. I couldn't get anyone to explain the math after an hour on the phone. They haven't shipped the pants but for some reason can't cancel the shipment which I will refuse when it comes and dispute the charge on my card.

    Shirts with the same type and ordering different colors the sizes do not match. It is a waste of time and money to try to talk to them. A denim shirt was too big. A very nice non iron shirt was OK in one color but too big in other color.

    I ordered 6 items from their women's clearance, so it took at least a month to get 3 of the items, then another month, for the next two items, the last item I never received, said they were sold out, and never returned my money, after at least 4 months, and they with draw the amount from my family's checking acct. Before they send an item, they told me, they do not withdraw money from a person's acct, until the person gets the item, a big lie, they take your money right when you order something then on top of that, within four months, they withdrew $9.86 every week or two, while I was waiting for my top I ordered, they are pathetic, thieves and liars.

    I returned an order and they charged me postage for the return, WHEN I PAID for the postage myself, to send it back. Makes me wonder how many returns I made and was charged for the returns, AGAIN. Called customer service and they act like they don't know what I'm talking about. Blair used to be decent, but now that they use a foreign customer service and most Reps you speak with, you cannot understand, let alone, most don't understand you, period! Orders take forever and it seems you return more than you keep because of quality, which is sadly lacking and seems to diminish even more as each year goes by. But yet, the prices keep going up and the service keeps going down. Customer service is the backbone of every company that utilizes it and depends upon it! If they are losing money and sales going down, hey, guess what Blair, it's your lousy customer service.

    I ordered a jacket for Father’s Day aware they said shipping was 5-10 business days. I had plenty of time to get it, but they didn’t even ship it for 8 days.     I ordered the first order and wanted to change the size. 2 days later I called and got no answer so I emailed them to let them know. No response, So I called the next morning and was told by this rude customer service guy no changes because it was pending. PENDING DOES NOT MEAN SHIPPED. It's only been 2 days you never have shipped that early anyway. So I told him cancel all my orders because By now I had made a second order too at 3 am he tells me I only have 2 hours to cancel or change an order HOW IS that possible at 5 am you are not open. There is no cancel order or change order buttons on their web site or order page to do this you have to wait till they are open and talk to someone. Just a way for them to screw people out of their money and to collect off of people and that is a scam business and needs to be shut down. They got my $200 I hope no else lets them do this to them.

    For the past 52 months Blair has withdrawn $14.97 from my credit card account. My husband always took care of our financial cards until this year when I discovered this. I was not aware I had membership in the VIP Old Pueblo Traders VIP program which transferred to Blair. I have never received a notification I was inactive….or information on how to use this membership. Blair is refunding 6 payments which I don't think is enough. I received no notification over the years that I was eligible for any benefits or privileges because of this membership!

    I wish I had read the reviews before my purchase. Still waiting for my order. Every day, for 6 days, I receive an update from Blair saying I will receive the order by 9 PM that day. Still waiting...maybe I'll have it for next Christmas? They are now processing a replacement, however I see I was charged twice; once for the original order that I don't have, and once for the replacement. Wonder how this will play out.

    I placed my first order with Blair and received the men's jacket I'd ordered, but it was too large so I returned it for an exchange. I used their self-addressed return label which showed no charge for shipping if used. Nowhere on the paperwork provided for the exchange was there an indication that I would have the $9.99 shipping charge deducted from my refund. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed with this experience and made it clear to their customer service agent I won't be ordering from them in the future.

    I have ordered from Blair multiple times and each time it gets worse. This time I ordered a sweater listed as in stock. The order was placed on October 29 and the site says 8 - 10 days for shipping. It has now been 15 days and the item has not even shipped out. I emailed the company a week ago and got a generic type response saying they would notify me when the item ships. Here we are a week later and the site still says "Processing - Tracking Not Yet Available." Money was taken from my account to pay for the item yet they have failed to even ship it out! I will not be ordering from Blair again and do not recommend this company.

    I read all of the bad reviews after I had already ordered 3 pair of men's shorts from Blair. Needless to say all the bad reviews got me paranoid about the purchase. I have to say my experience with them was very good. The shorts are excellent quality and at an amazingly low price. They are sized large, so I did have to exchange for a smaller size. I ordered the Adjust-A-Band Relaxed fit shorts in a 40 waist size. I have a 43 inch waist but did not want to buy huge baggy shorts and hoped the expandable waist would allow for my short bell body shape. The 40 waist were way too big, so I had to exchange for the 38. These fit absolutely perfect. Plenty of stretch at the waist and even comfortable sitting down. This was my first experience with Blair and I am happy as a clam with them. A bit slower on shipping than I would like, but certainly acceptable.

    To bid, so I ordered the 38. Unbelievably they fit great with stretch to spare not tight at all even when sitting. The customer service people were very nice and easy to deal with. I was expecting a horror story and was geared for a fight when I called. They were extremely accommodating and the conversation went better than I could have hoped. Received exactly what I ordered and happy as a clam. Other than shipping going a little slower than i am used to, I have no complaints. Plan on ordering from them again in the near future.

    I ordered a suit from Blair and it was two sizes too big but the right size was inside the suit. And then I ordered another one and I never got it but I'm being charged for it. And I tried to tell them that and they want to still charge me $194.72. So therefore when I tell them that I'm not paying for that they tell me that I have to pay for it even though I didn't get the item. I don't understand their reasoning and I don't understand why this site gets any or business get any stars whatsoever. It doesn't deserve not one. It doesn't deserve none. It deserves absolutely zero. Their customer service sucks.

    They put people on the phone that you cannot even understand what they're saying and then I say that they got to speak to their supervisor and then they tell me tell me that it's my responsibility to pay the bill when I didn't receive the product. As far as I'm concerned Blair is the most awfulest company you can ever order from I would never order from them again and I don't advise anybody else to cuz they will screw you out of your money.

    I purchased an item for $29.99 the shipping was $9.99 tax was $2.85 = $42.83. I returned the item, it was way too large & awful. Return cost would be $9.99. They sent me a label to use for returns. It was cheaper to mail it back USPS, so I used USPS. The refund was $22,85. I called to ask about that & they said that because I used their label that I was charged for the return & for the label $19.98. The item was $29.99! Their CS insisted that I used his label & would not move off his position. He was rude & obstinate. I will never buy from them again!

    11/10/21 I ordered a coat, on 11/11/21 I checked with customer service for a tracking number, was given a UPS tracking number. Coat to arrive 11/19/21 via USPS. Package never reached carrier. 11/16/21 rechecked with CS, provided with USPS tracking, package never reached carrier/s. CS said package lost by carrier. CS, on 11/29/21 told me I could order a replacement, but, only after 14 days after the original date coat was to arrive. Thus, no replacement order until after 12/02/21. On 12/03/21 contacted CS for replacement, advised no coat in my size, offered a different size I can’t use. He next said my card would be refunded purchase. Blair used my money for 3 weeks, never intending to deliver coat. Nothing more than scammers. Consumers beware!!!

    Ordered jacket and pants…After long delay jacket arrived and was ok…several days later a HUGE pair of pants came, a week later ANOTHER huge pair came … Checked billing and saw was charged for second (unordered) pair also…-customer service said “no problem, send them back for a full refund”…That was over a month ago..-no refund. Total rip off. DO NOT ORDER from them….You would get more satisfaction from striking a match to your money than you would from their product or customer service.

    A year ago I placed an order with Blair for a sweat shirt and sweatpants. I ordered my usual size, medium. The shirt was too snug for my comfort, but I kept it to use as a gift. A few weeks ago, I ordered 3 sweat shirts in size large. When they came, they were huge! In checking the website, I learned that I would have to pay $9.99 to return them. That is on top of a shipping charge of $12.99 to start with. This ends up costing me $22.98 to learn that Blair has no idea how to size clothing. I will not pay the $9.99 for returning the items. I will, instead, donate the shirts to The Salvation Army. I'd rather help the poor than help Blair get any more of my money!

    Incredibly rude and uncaring employees. Their customer service is worse than Comcast. Their sizes for clothes is way off. Will never deal with again. Ordered shirts for my husband in size 2X. They came in; swallowed him whole. At least 2 sizes too big. Returned them at our expense and they charged me for the shirts again before processing a refund that will take up to five business days. I called, the csr laughed. Spoke to her supervisor, she was no better. I asked for a refund and I'm contacting the BBB. Horrible company.

    My wife ordered a 2-piece suit and 2 bras. The 2-piece suit is way larger than the PS (petite small) size ordered. Both bras are too large as well and the material is flimsy and they are supposed to be support bras. When you expect correct sizes and they are not, you need to return the items at a $9.99 return fee. Now you know where Blair makes their money. How they exist is beyond me. I hope customers would read reviews first before wasting your time and money.

    UPDATED 6/29/2021: Well, I ordered the rain jacket May 13th and still have not received it even though I received an email last week that it has been shipped. I tracked the package and it says it's still on backorder and has not shipped. This is absolutely uncalled for. I can't believe this company is still in business.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've been waiting for my order for a month and it was supposed to be here in 6-8 days. Very unhappy with the company and all I want is my order. I should not even be charged for the inconveniences caused by this. I wanted the jacket and sweater for my vacation and it's very obvious that I have to go elsewhere so I have it for vacation.

    I placed an order on April 29. 2021. I checked order update on Blair's site and it always said "order in process". I received a call telling me that of the four shorts I ordered the navy was on back order and would ship on May 15th. The next day I received an email telling me that two items were on back order. The order information on the website still said "order in process". I wanted and sent a couple more emails and was brushed off each time with "we are moving to a new warehouse". On May 25th or 26th I sent an email to their parent company. A woman called and said my COMPLETE order would be sent to me.

    I received two of my items on May 28th. The two items actually shipped prior to my phone call. The order information on Blair's site still says everything is "order in process". Nothing about anything being shipped. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. Their products are fine but their customer service is a total mess and has been for a while. The move could explain the delay but it does not explain the continual brush off I have experienced. I NEVER asked them to rush my order I just wanted an estimate of when my order would ship.

    Do not believe in their free shipping advertisement unless you have absolutely ordered the right size otherwise you will be paying shipping to return it often more than the item costs. I ordered 2 tops to get the free shipping. One top was out of stock so they sent me one item and charged me the $6 shipping for the other one. They are frequently out of stock in a brand new catalog.

    I placed an order on 12/5/20 & money was withdrawn from my account on 12/7/20. As of 12/26/20, I did not receive my order & advised Blair by email. They advised that the shipment was lost & that they could reship the item or credit the order in full. I chose to have a reship. Blair never explained that they would charge my account again. Without authorization, Blair accessed my account for the reship so I now paid for a second order after not receiving the original order. They claimed it would take three billing cycles for credit. Lo & behold, the reshipped order and the original order were received 12/29/20 and 12/31/20 respectively. I advised Blair by email of these shipments and requested a return shipping label. Their policy indicates that there is a $9.99 fee for use of the mailing label and only in certain circumstances will the fee be waived.

    I asked for assurance that I would not be charged, but did not receive confirmation. This was my first and will be my only order with Blair Corporation. They had no real control over the shipping delays but the handling of the issues was not handled well at all. The communication was lacking in details. I hope this is an isolated incident for the sake of other consumers.

    The sizing is generous, to a fault. I purchase XL at Talbot's and XXL tees at Koh's for a fit I like. Purchased XL from Blair and I could fit a friend in with me in the women's snap front fleece. I am hoping they shrink, lots! I was going to exchange the two items I purchased but after the $9.99 return fee and fee to ship the two new items to me, well, I'll keep the much too large pieces and remember to shop locally where I can either try on or return to my local storefront without double fees.

    Beware that Blair deducts $9.99 from your refund for shipping costs, if you use their return label! What's the point of buying a simple blouse of $37.00 if it doesn't fit you have to pay to return it! Yes, you could get in your car, drive to the PO, stand in line, fill out all the return labels and pay approximately the same shipping costs, as Blair offers as an option, but is that even worth calling an option? How much does Blair make on returns? I'll NEVER buy from them, again. It was my first and only time!

    In August I ordered an article of clothing, a sweatsuit. When it arrived, it did not fit so I returned it and asked for another size. They did not have anything similar in my size so I asked for a refund. I paid $28.45 and they will only refund me $11.07. When I called to ask why, I was basically told that they charge for the return label, and that's just the way it is. Never buy anything from them if you want good service.

    I ordered a gift for a friend in June. My friend returned the items for an exchange but they didn't exchange, instead they charged my account continuously until September. I asked for a full investigation and they took no responsibility. I've informed my bank of the fraudulent charges as well as Better Business Bureau. It's not only a waste of time they charge your account without any notice. Buyer beware.

    BEWARE of shipping charges, the website says it comes with a PRE-PAID return label, which is FALSE. You are responsible for paying up to 9.99 in charges, which is absolutely ludicrous and not worth it. Stick to Amazon, Target and Kohl's. This place will go out of business soon I'd imagine!

    I received the above package on my order of three items. VERY DISAPPOINTED that I was charged $6.99 in freight. On my original order –copy attached, I ordered three items and it was over the minimum for the free shipping per a catalog code which I used on the order. The SAD thing about it is you sent me another catalog with the identical blouses in it EXCEPT they are $5 higher than in the catalog I was ordering from. You now owe me a refund from the original order and then you send me a card to keep me ordering giving me 20% off my next order. I would like the refund from the original and then I will not order from you again! You have ruined your reputation with me in that you only want the additional amount on the SAME blouses I had ordered. If they were out from the catalog I ordered, you should not have them in the next catalog.

    I tried to order some shirts. The catalog I have (WTM11PA01) shows a light blue shirt on the back page without a color number. Three different people do not know what "Light Blue" is! I called back after being cut off and the same thing all over again. I was ordering ten shirts in different colors, but they could not get passed the "Light Blue" shirt color without a color number, so I ordered nothing!!!

    I ordered some pants from Blair in 2018. I found out that they had "enrolled" me in some "VIP Program" and started charging my credit card $14.97 each month for 20 months! Say what? And, yes, I'm very ashamed that I hadn't noticed it before now. The total comes to $299.40 so far!!! I, of course, have contacted them and asked for PROOF that I ever agreed to this. I am retired and on a fixed income, so I would never agree to something like this. I also searched for other people's complaints about them and found several that had the same thing happen. I think it's OUTRAGEOUS! If they refuse to refund my money, I will be finding an attorney.

    I was very excited to order from Blair. I shopped at a Blair in Las Vegas Nevada years ago and loved it. I ordered five capri set outfits. It was the cheapest garbage I have ever gotten from any clothing place in my life. Could do better in a used Thrift Shop or Walmart. I literally thought it was a prank or a joke. My shorts and pants look like if you took a tablecloth and made pants or shorts out of it. Although the tablecloth would have been better material. Could not be more disappointed in a clothing company. It feels like they know you can't see or feel the clothes. So they send you the most cheapest thinnest garbage ever. You don't want to have to send it back. They count on that. I thought Amazon was bad for the quality of clothing. It made Amazon look fancy.

    I am a long time customer of Blair. I've always liked their stuff, it's very good quality. BUT..the prices have gone through the roof! $40 or $50 for a tee-shirt! Add shipping and you are paying close to $70.00 for tee-shirt. Shorts, pants, everything is way too expensive. Sorry, Blair, I'm shopping elsewhere.

    I was a very long time customer of Blair. I purchased mostly women’s clothes and occasionally men’s shirts and jogging fleece. About two years ago, I noticed their sizes had changed from actual numbered sizes to designations of Sm, Med, Lg, XL, 2XL, etc. These sizes are nowhere even close to the previously numbered sizes. In addition, the quality of the fabrics has also declined along with the quality of workmanship. A polyester, velvet-like long sleeved robe I ordered was pathetic. One sleeve was 3” above my wrist, the other was 6” too short; the pockets were so high above the lower hip area where they are supposed to be that I couldn’t even get my hands in them to place couple of tissues.

    Previously, at the end of summer sale, I ordered 4 crinkle slacks on clearance sale. I put them away for the following summer, but when I got them out to wear I found that the multi stitched elastic waist bands on every pair of slacks were completely shot, stretched beyond use. I will no longer purchase anything from this company. And even though I have asked them to stop sending catalogs, I am still getting them - often as many as three or four a week.

    I ordered fleece pants in small/petite which is what I have worn for many, many years with no problems ordering pants online from other merchants. Blair's pants were so huge they were like clown pants. I reported the issue and considered these pants defectively made so asked for a full refund, including shipping I paid for. Of course, not only did Blair say there was nothing defective about the pants, even tho nobody at Blair saw them on me, they deducted the return shipping of $9.99 so my refund from Blair was $2.24. What a ripoff!! I reported it to my credit card company who were professional enough to give me a full refund on them since Blair would not honor my return of defectively made pants. NEVER ORDER FROM BLAIR EVER AGAIN!!!

    Sizing for men's small is actually men's medium. Received zip-short-sleeve shirt, clearly a factory reject. Many mis-sewn areas and very large. Next, received the wrong item. Purchased navy-blue shirt, received gray with navy blue tag. Sent back at great expense. Received SAME gray shirt with navy blue tag, AGAIN. No response to final effort for compensation.     My 97 year old mother ordered something over the phone and gave her Mastercard number. The agent instead charged it to her Blair account. Statements arrived but were ignored as mom thought it was on her MC account. Late charges ensued. Called to cancel the account on 2/20 and was told it was cancelled. Days later received another statement with still another late charge, and the account is still active. Called again to cancel and requested an email confirmation. Still waiting on the email. This is fraudulent activity, beginning with the initial sales agent and continuing with the two agents in billing. We will never deal with them again (assuming I can ever get confirmation that this cursed account is closed).

    Updated on 03/25/2020: About 2 weeks or so ago I wrote a negative review on this subject and was very upset and still am for that matter. The issues my wife evidently ordered some clothing in May 2015 and Blair signed her up for the VIP program, whatever that is. Since May 2015 Blair has automatically added a $14.97 to the credit card that was used on the original purchase. The total being $880.32 in some 4 1/2 years unknowing to me. I simply paid the bill each month with through examination and did not find this out until some 2 weeks ago. My wife has been in a nursing home for the last several months.

    I sent letters to both Blair addresses and also to the FTC. In calling after sending the letter of complaint I called and was told that they would only refund 6 months of these charges or $89.92. I checked my on line credit and did in fact see the 6 months of credit on my account. They did call me and said they needed a copy of my power of attorney to handle my wife's affairs before they would cancel her account and stop sending us their catalogues etc, which I promptly sent to them.

    They also told me they would refund me a check for the difference between the refund on my credit card and the total of their charges of $880.32, total I did receive their check for $$795.40. My thanks to them--my advise to anyone if you use a credit card on any purchases BEST BE AWARE OF THESE WHAT I CALLED "ILLEGAL CREDIT CARD CHARGES." So that is my story and a sad experience. Irv **

    Original Review: I just found out this month that BLAIR has been charging my credit card some $14.97 for the last 47 months for a total of $703.59. This has been going on since May 23, 2015. Just discovered this on my last bill. In calling them they say my wife signed up on the internet for the VIP program which is a lie as she has never used a computer in her entire live and was diagnosed with dementia several years ago. This is absolutely fraud and is nothing more than theft--how they get away with this is beyond me--SO ANYONE WHO BUYS FROM BLAIR BETTER BE CAREFUL AND WATCH EVERY CHARGE ON THEIR CREDIT CARD. They slip these charges in every month etc, have no idea what the VIP program is and to my knowledge we have made no other purchases since May 2015. This company should be shut down permanently. I can guarantee they have nothing signed by us authorizing any such charges.

    I ordered a white pair of slacks for my husband and received a woman's plus size dress. When I called customer service to tell them about the mix up, I was told I had to ship it back at my expense and then they would reimburse me, not only that, but they would have to wait until they received the return item before they would send me the slacks I ordered.     I ordered a robe and a necklace from Blair. The necklace came broken apart - I used Gorilla glue to repair it the best I could. The lavender colored robe was total garbage! It fell apart in the dryer the first time it was washed! Avoid Blair - they are selling cheap GARBAGE!

    Twice I called customer service to try and explain a problem I was having and twice that person hung up on me rather than help. These were two different people! I have been a long time customer, but now refuse to buy anything else from their company. The quality of clothes has gone down also. Cheap material. IF I could reach someone in customer service I'd cancel all the catalogs they bombard me with twice a week! Waste of paper as they all really have the same items in each.

    I purchased 4 pairs of long pants using a gift card. I then destroyed the gift card because it had zero balance. I returned all 4 pairs of pants, because they were all too long. Blair issued me a refund on the Gift Card that was destroyed! I called Visa, the issuing gift card company and they told me to have Blair issue the credit to another charge card, that is in my name. This all happened in October 2019. It's now January 2000. My husband and I have spent hours on the phone and Blair refuses to refund my money, or give me a store credit! This will be the last time I purchase anything from Blair!

    The agent at Blair's VIP plus dept was courteous and agreed to cancel the unauthorized membership and refund my credit card charges. I subsequently received an email stating it was cancelled and charges refunded in about a week. I should know by month's end whether their resolutions were successful, then I will be very satisfied with their service. This review is a follow up to the previous complaint which I filed prematurely, based on other on-line complaints and my similar experience. Please ignore it for now. Thanks.

    Noticed in Dec that my credit card was being charged by Blair VIP for $14.98, even though no purchases had been made in 4 months. Then discovered the same charge was made in SEP, OCT and NOV, even though I did not authorize them to save my credit card info. I called their customer service and told an agent my problem, who said he would connect me to the VIP dept, but was disconnected. I believe this to be outright theft, and their website should be purged from the internet. I will talk to my bank about stopping these charges.

    I have been a long time Blair customer and recently over the last year I have noticed that the quality of their merchandise/clothing has declined tremendously and the worst of it is that the consumer is the one that gets stuck with the bad product unless they are willing to pay to return it. I ordered a Christmas gift (a fleece robe) for an elderly friend and when she washed it she had a horrible mess, there was lint everywhere and she had to clean her washer out and her lint trap multiple times and there is still lint all over everything the robe gets near. The robe is unwearable and useless and if I had read all the reviews I would have NOT ordered the robe, but what Blair does is put all the good reviews first and all the bad reviews last and there are so many to read I didn't read them all.

    I did read a few that stated it was horrid and a lint mess and not recommended and I should have went by that review but the color looked nice and I had many years ago ordered a similar one for my mother and it was fine. She wore it and I washed it for her with no issues. They have changed the quality of the fabric of the robes and also other items and expect the consumer to eat the cost of the return or just keep the defective item. How does the customer know the clothing is no good until they use it once or wash it? I think Blair has really gone downhill and will be losing many customers unless they have better quality control or a better return policy, who wants to be stuck with an item of clothing they can't use or even donate to a charity.

    I ordered a Scandia fleece jacket. It arrived and I could not get the zipper to close. I ask a friend to try it and after many attempts neither of us could work the zipper. I returned the jacket, explained the problem and asked for a full refund or to replace the jacket with one that had an operable zipper. Blair sent the 2nd jacket but deducted $9.99 for shipping. I had no problem with the zipper on the 2nd jacket so it is clear to me that the first one was defective. I called and they said their people denied that the zipper was inoperable so would not refund the $9.99.

    Customer Service is very limited. All responses seem to be automated or limited to predetermined responses. My order was processed which took several days. My credit card was then charged and was given a tracking numbers and email saying the order finally shipped. Tracking was given but for over 7 days the tracking information showed only a label was created and the package was never sent to the carrier and was still at Blair. I have contacted Blair Customer Service daily to assist with a lost package at their facility that has never shipped and was told I had wait another 6-8 business days for the package to show up at my home. Several conversations with Blair Customer Service transpired trying to make them understand that he package never shipped and they continued with the same automated response that I must wait, but would give no proof that the shipment occurred.

    Again today I have contacted them after talking with the shipping carrier who again confirmed the package has never been sent to them for shipping. Blair has restated again that after another 8 business day they would discuss the matter again. No assistance whatsoever to resolve the issue. We have requested either proof of shipment or a refund to our card. Blair is not willing to assist with any solution. Due to their lack of response to providing an acceptable solution of either shipping the item or refunding our order we have been forced to dispute the charges on our credit card and will no longer be a Blair customer.

    I purchased some valances from Blair which seemed to take forever to get in the first place. Secondly when I did receive they were the wrong color so I contacted Blair to see if I could get the correct color of my item. I was told first that I would be charged for other items then I would get a refund when they received other items back. I should not have been charged since it was their mistake. Thirdly, I ask that they send me my item by express mail because it was a Christmas present. I was told by customer service that they did not do express mail. I don't understand why they cannot accommodate me since it was their mistake.

    Also, what large company like Blair does not have access to express mail. In order to keep your customers you should be willing to accommodate them when it is your mistake. As I told the customer service lady I will not be making this same mistake twice. I will not order anything ever again from them and I would advice anyone not order from them also.

    I found 2 items from Blair online. I ordered and paid for shipping. They were substandard quality and I wanted to return them. I subsequently ordered the same things from Penney's and was very satisfied. But, the return label said that if I used their label, $9.99 would be deducted from my return credit. So, for the privilege of seeing their poor quality products, I was granted the privilege of paying nearly the full price of those products and had nothing to show for it. I can probably save a buck or two if I make my own label. But, if you buy from other companies, most will let you return at no charge. DO NOT BUY FROM BLAIR! BLAIR ISN'T FAIR!!!!!

    I ordered and paid for a Men's Snap Front Denim shirt (light Wash) size Large. I have been wearing a large shirts for 20 years. This shirt was too tight for a large, I could not raise my arms because of this. I was going to return this shirt when I saw that the return shipping charge is a fixed $9.99 shipping charge. So you see, they get you coming and going. They send you an item that is not the right fit and charge you to return it. Please be aware of this companies tactic. What Blair is doing is selling off size items that will not sell in a retail store to unsuspecting buyers on-line. Spend your money with a reputable company and not Blair.

She opened it and there were two boxes of pretzels in it and NO trees. The label says the box weighs 11lbs. 4 trees weigh four times that amount. The box was small and would never hold 4 trees. Customer service said they would not send them out until they processed the return. This is their fault and I'm being punished as 4 people will not receive their Chrismas gifts on time.

    I ordered a 20WP Dunner slacks. They send 20W. I swim in that size. I send back and call them for them to send 20WP. The slacks came; the paperwork says 20WP; the label and tag on the slacks say 20W. Shorter isn’t WP and 20W is very baggy in the thighs. They used to be good. Go elsewhere.

    I am so disappointed in this company. I placed an order for the first time and was sent the completely wrong order. When I contacted customer service to see how this could be rectified, I was told I could send the item back and receive the correct item in 3 weeks. I pointed out how it was a little absurd that an error on the company's part meant that I had to go the hassle of returning the item and waiting another three weeks to receive my correct item. They told me to call customer service. I called customer service, and after having to go through quite the process to talk to an actual person, was told that I could place a new order today for the correct item, but I would have to pay all shipping and taxes. Again, absurd that I am being punished for the company's error. This is terrible customer service. This was my first experience with Blair and it will certainly be my last!

    I had to return a jacket because it was too big. But I asked to exchange that for a smaller identical jacket. So it cost me $9.99 to return it and then was charged another $9.99 to get the second jacket sent to me. Well, a whopping $20.38 has been added to the cost of my original price. So now what was a $49.48 becomes a $69. 68 jacket. But wait. My bill says $88.57 - where did that come from?     Ordered multiple pants on a single order, all the same size. One of the received items was incorrect size and was obviously re-packaged in a bag labeled with correct size. The ordered size was out of stock. I returned the item for the size ordered. I then received the replacement item and included in the the package was a product I did not order. Blair charged my credit card for this item with no authorization to do so. I contacted customer service asking to speak with the mgr. The customer service person placed my call on hold while she contacted the supervisor. The same customer service person came back on the phone claiming she was the supervisor.

    I immediately asked for a manager who immediately cited company policy of not issuing same day credit, even though they had no authorization to use my credit card for the item not ordered. I then asked to speak to a higher level customer service manager and "Mark" stated that he would enter an escalation for immediate credit and a representative would call me by end of day. I did not receive the credit and I did not receive the call back. In my opinion this type of company practice borders on criminal activity and/or extreme stupidity. All done with Blair.

    I ordered a pair of suede slipper moccasins in a size 8. When they arrived, I tried them on and they were way too large. My husband wears a size 8 shoe so he tried them on and they fit. I liked the slippers and wanted to exchange them but this would cost me $9.99. Do you think I got ripped off? You bet I did and I will never order from this two bit outfit again. They could care less about their customers. Be careful when ordering from them because if the reason you want to return something is due to a fault of the company you're ordering from, they should be responsible for fixing the problem without charging you.

    I tried to order online. I signed up for emails in order to get free shipping. I also signed up for a credit card and was approved. After doing so, I was informed my credit card information would be applied to my online order. It wasn't. After several attempts to speak to someone who could understand me and my issue I was advised to place my order over the phone. I did. It was painfully obvious my operator was struggling with English. We prodded thru with a lot of me repeating myself which all in all isn't that bad. When I explained I was waiting for my free shipping code to arrive in my email she just didn't understand.

    Eventually I was able to get to someone who said they were a supervisor. I explained again how not being able to place the order online wasn't allowing me a chance to get my free SH, I asked for it to be waived in light of the issue. They refused to waive 21.99 in light of a 312 dollar order so I cancelled it. I feel like the offers on the website are all scams to get you to apply for their mailing list or credit card and you never get the promo code promised or the ability to order online.

    I purchased 2 shoes of different colors. They sent the same color for both. Their mistake. I paid the postage and sent a pair back to exchange for the correct color.     I've returned back home to care for my 69 year old mother who is in hospital. Over the past 7 weeks my partner and I have been paying all her bills and getting things in order for her. She received a clothing catalogue from Blair's just about every week in the mail, which I thought was a bit much. I had the bill from them so I called them up to try and pay it. They asked for her phone number, her name, her social security number, etc and they told me they had no records of her owing them money. 4 weeks later I get another bill. They don't put account numbers on the bills, and the account numbers on the catalogues are typed over and impossible to read. In the one month since the last bill they have charged her $29 late fee AND 30% interest! I repeat, 30% interest! They also say that if the bill isn't paid shortly her next late fee is $39!

    I call them up and explain to them that my mother is now 7 weeks in hospital and I'd like to pay her bill in full for her but would appreciate them removing the exorbitant late fee she accrued while sick. They were happy for me to pay her bill but wouldn't be able to dismiss the late fee without her on the phone. I even said I'd be happy to email them the letter from the director of the hospital she was at. No, it really just appeared that they had no heart and wanted to make my life harder than it was. They required me to get my confused recovering mother on the phone at her hospital bed. She'd acquired over $80 in fees during her time in the hospital and they told me all they could do was take off $15 which was far less than her fees acquired in even just the last month. It was pathetic and heartless. Good riddance to this corrupt predatory company.

    I, like others who have voiced complaints, will NEVER order from this company again. I order several things from them this past spring (three knit dresses) and all three were different sizes even though they were all labeled large. They did allow me to return one of them without paying the exorbitant $9.99 return fee. I just order one outfit, one pair slacks, two blouses and one jacket. One of the pairs of slacks is made of such cheap material I will not wear them. One of the blouses is also of a cheap material (I think all of Blair's merchandise is made in China) and I will probably not wear it either. The outfit (slacks, top) is just okay -- nothing that I will be proud to wear. The cotton knit jacket is also okay. None of these items are worth the price I paid for them. You could go to Wal-Mart and buy equal or better clothing. Beware of this company -- they are also a part of Old Pueblo so beware of them too.

    I purchased 2 pair of shorts very expensive and needed them for a trip so I paid them $30.28 for expedited shipping. When I asked where my shorts were after 2 business days as it said, they said it was shipped after 12noon so they don't count the first day or weekend. It had been 3 business days and still no shorts. The shorts arrived after I returned from the trip and they were just mediocre shorts made in Pakistan. The pockets weren't deep like it says or anything. I will never purchase from Blair again. Hope this helps others not to make the same mistake.

    I purchased three pair of Sally classic shoes size 8.5 wide. I had occasion to wear both the white and the black pairs of shoes and they fit just fine, so I didn't try the Navy until some weeks later for a function. They were so big that I had to stuff six tissues in each of them to keep them from falling off. I sent them back with a detailed description of the issue for exchange for a size smaller. So far I have two pair that were $24.99 each and I had a ten dollar promo code plus free shipping. My card has so far been charged $126.40 - you do the math. I will never buy from Blair again...     I ordered a jacket and blouse. The jacket was too large so I sent it back to exchange for a smaller size. I did read when preparing to send it back that it was free to return the old one but they would charge me to send me the new one 9.99 which I thought was unfair. I don't know of any other company that does that. But I needed a smaller size so I sent it. Now they are sending the new and have charged my account 32.99 and refunded me 21.00. That's 11.99 for shipping the new one to me. That jacket does not weigh that much. I will not buy from this company again.

    I am disappointed with Blair's return policy. I purchased a pair of pedal pushers and didn't like them. I was charged around ten dollars for shipping charges when I ordered them.     After buying from Blair, they offered me the chance for credit, which would give me a discount and free shipping. I paid the bill the week it arrived (in full). They did not apply my payment until the day after it was due, charging me $25 penalty plus $5 in interest on my purchase.     I ordered two blouses on sale and the order was processed. They charged 12.99 for shipping which was outrageous for a little package. I was emailed a few days later that the one blouse was not available. I reached out and asked them to fix the shipping for 1 blouse. It look several emails before they decided to credit me a whole $3! LOL. The blouse did not fit, but didn't want to spend another 12 dollars to return.     I was a repeat customer at Blair.com. I ordered 2 pairs of men's long pants for my disabled son who cannot navigate zipper or buttons, thus requires elasticized waist plus drawstring. I ordered online - they were $15.99 per pair. The pants arrived, and were merely elasticized casual pants of a flimsy pseudo-gabardine material, without drawstring. The pair that I removed from the plastic bag were unzipped, not buttoned, obviously a return from some other customer. I called to re-order the jeans that I had ordered in the past, and spoke with a customer representative who located the item that I had ordered in the past sent and said that two pair of these pants would be $50.00.

    I told her that would be fine but I disputed the $9.99 shipping/restocking charge, which would be 1/3n of my original purchase. Blair customer service replied there was no way they would waive the $9.99 return shipping fee back since I had placed the order online and not via a representative. She added that the fee was imposed by the Blair warehouse department: when I asked to speak with them she said I could not until after the item had been received by them, and my account charged. Then I might be able to negotiate a refund. Most companies offer free returns. They have lost me as a customer and I caution others.

    I was a 1st time shopper at Blair.com. I ordered 2 pairs of pedal pusher pants in the size I normally wear. The pants arrived and they were way too big and cheaply made. I called to get a smaller size and was on hold for 45 minutes. I hung up and decided to return them. I sent them back using the Blair attached return forms. I got my refund minus a $9.99 shipping charge. I called customer service and was told because of the long phone wait and the poor quality of the items I would get my $9.99 return shipping fee back. After a week the charge was still on my card. I called again and was told they won't take this punitive fee off my card. Most companies offer free returns. I wouldn't recommend using Blair.com unless you are prepared to pay a return fee. Plus the customer service people are not pleasant to deal with. They are not good representatives for this company.

    I ordered 2 pairs of knit pants size 20PS and a pair of Velour slippers, with Memory Foam. The fabric for both pairs of pants was flimsy and the size was closer to a 16 than a 20. The slippers were the right size but the Memory Foam wouldn't press down when the slippers were worn. All in all, it was no bargain to have to send the entire order back and return postage deducted from my credit refund. I wouldn't consider ordering from Blair again.

    Order a shirt on 5/5. Needed for 5/21. On 5/11 I called. They advised they had no shipping info even though they sent me a confirmation email with the address on it. Requested a speedy shipping. Their answer was it will be processed soon with no info in delivery. I was forced to buy another shirt on Amazon which I got in two days. Sent Blair item back with explanation of failure to provide service in timely manner and expected no charge for return. They charged $9.00 for return and lost a frequent buyer because of their greed and incompetence. Complaints go on deaf ears. Unable to contact corp office. They are also hiding due to numerous complaints of unethical business practices.

    Purchased a jacket online. When it arrived it did not look like the one in the picture. It was cheap, shiny plastic, and very low quality. My wife looked at it from across the room and said "I don't even have to touch it. Send it back." There is no way to leave reviews on Blair's website and they charge high shipping both ways. And there is no way on Earth that the jacket I received got all the positive so-called customer reviews on their website. One day I looked and the number of reviews for the jacket was less than the number that was there the day before. In the end I paid over $17 in shipping for a junk jacket I had for one day. Talked to Blair rep and manager on the phone before returning and they said there was nothing they could do about shipping costs. Yeah right. Learn from my mistake and avoid Blair.

    I saw a gorgeous green denim shirt online -- a really nice color that was kind of a soft kelly green. I ordered it, but the shirt I received was very dark and drab -- kind of a green-gray color that was very drab. I sent it back, thinking I shouldn't have to pay for shipping since it was their error, not mine, in misrepresenting the shirt online. When I contacted them, they only said that every computer monitor displays colors differently. I worked in graphics for twenty years, so I know how much variation there can be in colors, and this was WAY more than that. Live and learn -- I'll never order from them again.

    I recently placed an order with Blair in 2/19. When the order didn't arrive I logged onto the site and saw that the order had been canceled. I contacted Blair and was told there was some confusion about the shipping and billing address therefore the order was canceled. I was never contacted about the confusion even though I provided my cell phone number. After speaking with a customer service rep I thought things were straightened out until I tried to place a new order today.

    Obviously Blair charged my credit card for both the canceled order and the items I ordered to replace them. If you want to do business with this company do not try to have items shipped to a different address than the billing address and also expect to have your credit card charged for canceled items as well as any items you receive. The customer service rep was completely useless and passed me off to the credit card company. I would prefer to walk around in a trash bag than do business with this company again.

    On the 2nd of April, I made my second order with Blair. I found a pair of pants that looked right for summerScandia Woods Sports Pants, for the price of 24.99. I called Blair Customer Service for assistance in selecting the pants size, which was confusing to me. The rep insisted that I did not buy the XL size and that the M size was the right inseam size for me. On the 9th of April when the pants arrived I opened the package and unfurled the pants. I was shocked, these pants were for a midget, not for someone 6' tall. Inspecting the material, the pants were of inferior quality. I knew that this was purely a rip-off, care of customer service rep.

    The cost of the pants was 24.99, the cost of the total order was $37.20. I was shocked at check out but decided to give them another chance. Now, on the 10th of April I was returning the pants with an additional cost to me of $2.28 for return packaging supplies; making now the total cost spent $$39.48. I contacted Blair about my refund and to inform them that I will never again buy from them. My refund will be processed on the 19th of April for the refund amount of $16.00. Wow, I lost $23.48 attempting to purchase something from Blair, only to return it at a loss to me. No thank you Blair for your kind of business, I will shop elsewhere. Warning: The quality of merchandise sold by this company is not worth you spending your money.

    Ordered two sport coats from them because they were colors I needed. I lost some weight lately and was restocking my suits and was very aware of my sizes. I ordered my size from them and one of the suits came overall 2 sizes too large for me, the other one was two sizes too big in the body and the arms were a size short for me. Now that's bad enough but then I boxed them up to return them. I noticed that it said there's a $9.95 restocking charge on return orders, that was upsetting because so many sites do free returns for goods that don't fit, but my bad for not noticing the fine print when I ordered.     When I got the refund notice from Blair they had charged me back $9.95 per coat and some other charge that totaled over $25.00!!! This place is a Total RIP OFF SITE!!!     This was the first time I had ordered from Blair. I ordered 4 pairs of pants. Two were back ordered. When I received the first two pairs of pants, they were too big. So, I called to speak to the exchange department. I was asking to get the other two pairs of pants changed (the size) since they were not scheduled to be shipped for two more weeks. She said she would put it in the computer. They were shipped as is (I guess it was too late to change the order). The woman I spoke to never told me they would deduct $9.99 from my order to return the pants.

    I could have mailed them myself cheaper than that. Then I had to send the other pants back (apparently, another loss of $9.99). I asked to speak to a supervisor but was told there was nothing that could be done. This was my first and last order with Blair. Never again. I would have cancelled it all together but I would have been out $20.00 with no pants. Oh, and the pants are back ordered again. You would think a company would want to satisfy their customers especially new customers. Buyer Beware!

    I placed an order on 3/28/2019 because I saw an ad for free shipping from Blair on my computer. Over on the right hand side when my mailbox is open, there is always a bunch of ads from various companies. I purchased $50 worth of merchandise based on this ad for free shipping. When I checked out, the promo code wouldn't be accepted. I called Customer Service and was told that code didn't exist and they would not honor it. I had to pay the 9.99 shipping charge. I was also told the way to get free shipping is from an offer in emails.

    Oddly, I wasn't sent any emails offering free shipping until after I received the confirmation for my order! The Rep. said he searched for the code and there was no such code on the Blair site. Well, I certainly didn't make the code up! People beware of the ads on your computer. Blair does not acknowledge them!! I've been a customer since the 1970s and this is the worst treatment I have ever received from Blair customer service! They don't care I have given them thousands of dollars worth of business over decades. They are squabbling over 9.99!!

    I placed an order on Sunday, it is now Thursday, and it is still being "processed". It is an in stock item and should have been at the latest pulled and put on the truck yesterday. I called, and there is nothing they can do for me... It will be another 5-8 business days until I receive my order which was sold to me as delivered in 5-7 business days, no mention at the order screen that they will process it until they are good and ready to ship it. But, my money was taken out on Sunday, too bad the bank doesn't "process" that until I get the product. Processing for 4 days and counting for an in stock item? Just pull it on Monday morning, generate a shipping label and ship it. I could have driven to the warehouse and back home long before this.

    So I went and ahead and ordered them from Amazon Tuesday (2 days ago) and lo and behold, look what is on my porch this morning? Same curtains... THAT'S how you do business in 2019. Lesson learned. Never ordering from Blair again. Waste of time. Poor way to do business in this day and age... Get it together, Blair. No excuse for items and shipping to take this long.

    Perhaps it's part of doing business on the internet but, I ordered this product, a quilted recliner cover based only on limited information and pictures on the Blair website. When I received it, it was no more than a lightweight material sewn in a quilt pattern to a lightweight backing material. Very flimsy. There was no way to secure the cover to the chair and given its very light construction, it would not stay in place when sat on. Overall very cheaply made. I paid nearly $10 to have it shipped to me and the same to ship it back. Consequently, I spent $20 for the privilege of looking at the product to determine it was junk. I will not be a return customer.

    I have shopped at Blair for decades. Recently ordered 3 pair of "Silhouette Slimmers" jeans in 6P but they are neither silhouette nor slim arriving with baggy legs and terrible fit although we bought the same a few years back with superb fit. So we returned them with the label tear-off now finding they kept $10 of the $40 price for that. I am so angry. It's a disgrace. Old companies are no longer honorable. They see returned shipping as a profit center. After well over 20 years shopping with them, I will never do so henceforth. I am disgusted with them and they have lost a customer.

    I ordered 3 women's tops advertised as being 30" long. They were only 26" long, which changed everything. I sent them back and said the mistake was theirs, and not mine, therefore I should receive a full refund. My original total charges were $48.83. What they credited me was $28.20! This company is disreputable, and I'm not going to waste any more time with them. Listen up, people! I wish I'd read some reviews before ordering. :( I have wasted ordering time, return package time, and $20 as well! And I have nothing to show for it.

I own many silk items, from Citron Santa Monica, Talbots, & Cattle Kate, and have sewn on many kinds of fabrics for 40 years, and I affirm categorically that the texture of this item is a rough, abrasive polyester feel on a lighter weight polyester, something like that of cheaper clothes of the 1970s. The "look" is not "silky" either. In re-reading the reviews of this item, I strongly suspect that Blair deletes the more negative reviews sufficiently to keep the ratings of "would buy again" in the 90 percentiles. Neither are the yellows and lighter blue colors accurately represented on the site—and it's not "my monitor" because I do professional work with color on all my retina Macs. So guess again, Blair. It's your lighting or publishing.

    The sketchiest sellers on eBay take returns at their expense when the description is wrong or misleading, but Blair is not that honest. Furthermore, they will debit your credit card immediately when they fill you order, but when you send items back, which they can scan and credit your for immediately, it "may take two billing cycles" to see your money again. We all know that this delay is unnecessary. We all know that this practice of delay is far from usual—much less "best—practice in online retail. Clearly, Blair chooses to operate to some extent on funds that belong to others. Never again will I order from Blair. I plan to forward this complaint to the BBB and to register it as a state and federal consumer complaint to the state attorney general and to the US government, respectively. Blair's poor customer service and shoddy business practices are unfair, underhanded, and, apparently, judging by these reviews, pervasive.

    In the past, I have always been satisfied with the products and service from Blair. I ordered two items from Blair, that were clearly stated to be on Sale, and used the correct Promo code. Upon reviewing my Credit Card statement, I found I was charged the regular price. A difference of $13.00. I received my credit card statement 30 days after the order was placed, The customer service rep, said it was past 30 days, of the sale, and they could not make any changes. So now I have to pay for THEIR error. IF, I should order again, I will be certain to mail a money order, for their sale amount, so they can't incorrectly charge my account.

    I ordered a red jacket from this company, believing that it would be the same color as the catalogue shows. It came and instead of a bright red, it was bright orange. I am 77 years old, and I don't want a bright orange jacket. I asked for a waiver on the return charge, because I feel that this is not my mistake. I am now out $9.99 return fee. I return very few of the garments that I order, and I buy many things from this group of companies. From now on I will stick with LLBean. I will also let my friends and family know about this.

    Advice to the readers, please don't trust the review on the merchandise on Blair's website. They screen the customer's reviews. If you give a negative review, your review will not post on their website. The merchandises are low on quality, and if you try to return, they will charge you $9.99 for a shirt or pant. And once you place an order, you can not cancel it even within few minutes. This is my experience with this company. I will not recommend anyone to deal with this crook company.

    I bought a winter coat, and it was way too big. I am in the process of shipping it back, but I am being charged a $9.99 fee to do so. I already paid over $17.00 to have it shipped to me. I e-mailed Blair, and asked that they waive the $9.99: they will not. When all is said and done, I will be out over $27.00 with nothing to show for it after the return is complete. Buyer beware.

    Blair.com website will not let you click on any of the items listed, sizes or colors. Their webpage has major difficulty loading, it just sits there and spins and spins. It's just crazy. How can you order an item if the webpage is screwed up. It's really aggravating. I've reported it before but it continues to be a hassle. Therefore I refuse to order from this company again.

    Order # **. Order date 12/11/2018. Total $29.98 and a separate charge $1.99 sales tax. I sent you an email that said Minnesota does NOT charge sales tax on clothing, I'm waiting for that credit on my Visa card. Now I see another charge $14.97 dated 1/10/2019. I did NOT order anything beyond the original order dated 12/11/2018. So NOW please refund my $14.97 that was erroneously billed to my Visa. Total owed me $ 16.96. The merchandise was fine, just the extra charges that are a problem.

    I received my first order from Blair yesterday. Unfortunately the Jacket was not as nice in person as it was shown on the internet. I could get by with that, what I could not get by with was the incorrect sizing. As per Blair's sizing Chart I should have taken an X-Large. My jackets at home are all a size medium and are a little tight so I went with a Large even though according to Blair's size chart I should be ordering an X-Large. When receiving the large it was gigantic on me. So the sizing on the chart was not true to size.

    In returning the item even though it was Blair's fault for the return I will be charged a $10.00 fee against my return price for return shipping. Very disappointed with Blair and their policy. I can only hope my second purchase is not as disappointing as my first, still waiting for it. Needless to say I will probably not be a Blair customer in the future. PS: Due to me posting my opinion about this company on Facebook they have blocked me and I am unable to give my review on there anymore. I guess that is how they handle a dissatisfied customer!

    Blair's return policy is "For products returned in original condition within 60 days of when they were received, refunds will be made in your original form of payment". I placed an order on Oct. 14, 2018 and received the order on Oct. 27, 2018. I mailed the return items on Dec. 16, but they did not complete processing the return until Jan. 2019. After arguing with the Customer Service that I should receive a refund to my credit card, not a merchandise credit, they actually looked up the date they received the return (Dec. 24, 2018) and still refused to credit my credit card. Even using the period Oct. 27 - Dec. 24th I am still with the 60 days. They say their policy is from the shipping date not the customer's receipt date even though their own return policy states PRODUCTS RETURNED IN ORIGINAL CONDITION WITHIN 60 DAY OF WHEN THEY WERE RECEIVED.

    I ordered an item and was furnished mailing details. So the day it was to come, I watched for the mailman. I waited a couple more days and then called the company and the package had been returned to them because of an incorrect address and was deliverable. When they put the mailing address on the package, they left part of it off. So I asked them to resend the package and they did the same thing over again. I was so disgusted - by this, it was over a month since I ordered it. I want to close my account and please do not send me any more catalogs. They get tossed as I do not wish to order again with all that sloppy job.

    Haband keeps harassing me about owing them money. I want everybody to know what they did to me and I am not sending them another penny. I will start by saying on June 7, 2018 I called their automated system and it gave me the balance of $23.20. When I received my statement for July the same balance was on my statement $23.20. I ordered some lamps for %9.99 after, adding their taxes it came to $15.99. This leave me owing them a balance of %39.19.

    On August 7, 2018 I called their automated system and it gave me a balance of $25.20. When I received my statement for August it gave me the same amount of $25.20. I sent them a payment of $20.00. They went crazy and started sending me all kind of figures with different amounts. The full balance of my account was $63.48 altogether, I gave them the benefit of the doubt, of knowing what I owed them. On August 31, 2018 I sent them another $22.00.

    They were trying to confuse me by sending me those different figures trying to make me pay them more money because I owed them a small amount of money and they were trying to get more money from me. Now, I already paid them a total of $44.00. They continues to harass me and they turns me over to collection. They just kept on sending me different statements with all kind of charges. I took it upon myself and sent them a personal check in the amount of $5.20.

    The reason why I did this is because I thought about the last statement that, they sent me for $25.20 and I sent them $22.00 I didn't owe them nothing. I just did it anyway this was because of the last statement for $25.20 actually, I owed them $3.20 but, I gave them an extra $2.00 to make sure that the bill was over covered. The thing about this if I owed them $39.19 in total and paid them $49.20. Wouldn't this look like to you that I overpaid them of course but, like I said I give people the benefit of the doubt or, would it look like I covered more than what I owed them.

    I want to say that these creditors have a problem of trying to rob people for money and they need to stop their act because people are not going to let them keep doing this to them and getting away with this. Haband has a bad problem of doing this to people. This is the 3rd time they did this to me. If you purchase a small order with them. They will wait until, you get to the second or third payment and they will start playing games with you and overcharging your account to keep you paying them.

    But, my theory is they will not get any more money out of me no more than what I owe them or, if I would be a fool and give them some more and that will never work. One thing I can say about my self. I will give people the benefit of the doubt sometimes trying to satisfy them and I did this for Haband and they did not appreciate it. But now, I'm going to make it loud and clear to them. I am not going to send you any more money. You can turn it over to whoever, you like to or, you can stick it up your. You know what.

    And this I mean with all my might. The reason why they keep picking on me is because I made them close the account I had to close it with them and this is because I had no choice but, to close it because they kept adding all kind of charges to my account. I thought at one time that businesses wanted to keep their customers and keep them satisfied. But in a situation like Haband they are running their customers away and there is a lady there name Mary **. I believe that she is the root of all the evil that, they have going on there.

    I do know that I was a loyal customer to them, and now I want them to know that I will never do business with them again because of their stupid foolishness and the way that they behaved with me. I can care less if they slam the doors in your face. I wish you well throughout your endeavors and the way that you are doing people. You will never reach your goals. I am not through. Go ahead and make my day.

    I've purchased several articles of clothing from Blair. Their catalogs and website are so enticing, especially when they have sales. Unfortunately, their website and catalogs do not accurately reflect the clothing size. Although they readily accept merchandise returns, customers lose the shipping cost each time. After complaining that their merchandise was being returned solely because their sizing charts were grossly incorrect, I was told that a customer who uses their return label will be incurring the 9.99 shipping cost. When explaining to customer service that I would have been keeping the items had they been reflective of their advertising, they simply repeated their company's return mantra. It is unfortunate that this is how they treat their customers. I won't be shopping with any of the Blair companies again. Buyer beware.

    I originally ordered one pair of flat front jeans and one sweatshirt. Not thirty minutes later I noticed I ordered the wrong size. I called customer “service” and thought I had it straight. No, they sent TWO sweatshirts and no jeans. Then when I tried to order the jeans separately, my half off purchase was full price. I sent one sweatshirt back and got only a $9.55 refund due to shipping. Why do I have to pay for their error? Why was shipping only $5.99 coming to me, but four more dollars going back? And lastly, why did they not honor the half price offer? As much as I like the jeans and sweatshirt, I will NEVER order from them again!

    This was my first time ordering from Appleseed's/Blair. The jacket I ordered was very nice, but it was too large (I usually wear petite medium, but this ran more like a large). I would have been happy to exchange the jacket for a smaller size, but they charge you $9.99 to mail back the item, regardless of whether you are exchanging or returning. So why would I let them keep my money by exchanging when they have already charged me $10 more than what the original item cost? I will not be business with this company again.

    I can't believe it. I've been very unhappy with Blair and decided to just cancel their card altogether. Only used it a couple of times and have no outstanding balance with Blair. I emailed them to cancel the card and receive a response that stated I needed to make my payment before they could cancel the card. I thought that was kind of strange as I've had a zero balance for months so clicked on the link provided in the email... What a shock to find out that I would have to pay them $30 to cancel my card. As far as I'm concerned that is totally unprofessional and highly unethical.

    This was my first time using Blair. I ordered a cream colored V neck sweater, which looked lovely in the photo. Medium always fits me perfectly in a sweater. When it arrived, it was at least a large, perhaps extra large, although the tag said medium. I filled out their exchange form, and asked for a small. This company will not do an even exchange, even when the item is sized wrong, as mine was. They put the money back on your credit card, but subtract $10.00 for their fee. Upon calling customer service, they would do nothing to help. First and LAST time I will ever order from Blair. Order at your own risk. You have been warned.

    I order several items from a Black Friday 50% off sale, but paid $15 For shipping. The very next day, before my items even shipped out, there was a free shipping deal for the same 50% off sale. I called to ask to get the free shipping and was told I could not. Because my order was "in process", The company wouldn't even let me cancel it. VERY poor way to do business!!!     I purchased 3 pair of jeans on 11/8. They were too big and I shipped them back as an exchange. They refunded me for the order and charged me 9.99 for shipping. Their policy is free shipping for exchanges and 9.99 shipping for returns. Called customer service. Rude, poor communication and lack of interest.     They charge $10 for returns. The jog suits are low quality. I had to send back items twice and both times they assured me it was no charge to ship back. When they refunded me, they took 10 dollars for shipping both times. I called to complain and they were rude and did not care. Their clothing feels so shoddy and cheaply made with cheap materials yet they charge an arm and a leg for them. Save your money. Their clothes are majorly oversized as well, likely so you will send them back and they can steal your 10 dollars. I will NEVER order garbage from this scam company again.

    I ordered some pants for my elderly mother and they were too small. I figured I needed to go from misses to women's sizes but wanted them as short as possible. The size chart was not clear on how the size and length considerations overlap. I called the company for more information, and ordered what I thought would fit my mother. The second pair of pants were not right either and I ended up feeling that the sizing guidelines were very confusing. I asked the company if they would pay for the return shipping on the second batch based on the ambiguity. That request was denied in an ungracious manner. The customer service rep and her supervisor seemed not to care at all, and they were spectacularly unhelpful. I will not order from this company again.

    I ordered clothes from Blair but I did not sign up for Blair VIP. Two months later there was a charge from Blair VIP on my credit card statement. In two calls to Blair four different Blair employees told me I had no account with them and there was no record of the charge. (And why did they ask for my social security number?) My bank investigated and said it was a recurring charge for the Blair VIP program that I never signed up for. Several angry emails to Blair before they agreed to refund the charge. I hope they do. From other reviews it seems that it is Blair company policy to sign people unawares for this recurring charge.

    I was late a day or two on my Blair Card payment and I paid $22.49, which was the total amount of my bill, and they charged me $22.49 for the late fee + $1 interest! Quite frankly, I think that is ridiculous! I have accounts with Mastercard and Visa and I have a much higher balance on those cards than I did with the Blair Card, and their late fee is $27! This is the first time I've ever had a late fee with Blair, and I've been a customer of theirs for nearly 20 years! I feel like they're ripping me off with the late fee amount! If this is how they treat their loyal customers, I don't understand it!

    They upset me tremendously back in February with how they mishandled my order, and I thought I would give them another chance, but now I'm not so sure of even shopping with them anymore. If I do, I will NOT be using the Blair Card ever again. This should be illegal that they can get away with charging such an astronomical late fee for such a minuscule balance! I noticed online that Blair filed for bankruptcy in recent years, so I'm not surprised that they're resorting to these underhanded tactics. Perhaps this is why they filed for bankruptcy in the past-- customers got fed up with the dishonest way they were treated! Finally, I would urge Blair shoppers to forego getting a Blair Card! It would save you the headache and stress of dealing with their criminal activities!

    I ordered four items online from Blair but when I placed the order, I did not get an immediate confirmation so I pressed place order again. I ended up with 3 duplicate orders. My husband has had both legs amputated so the duplicate orders missed my attention. I did send the two duplicate orders back and pointed out that their inefficient website was the cause of duplicate orders. Now I got an email offering a credit from them FROM BLAIR AND NOT THE CREDIT CARD I USED TO PAY FOR THE ORDER. I do not want a merchandise credit. My husband has had both legs amputated and is not likely to need fashionable clothes to go to dialysis. Here is your published policy:

    "Our Return & Exchange Policy. We'll gladly provide an exchange or refund your purchase price (excluding discounts, and any shipping and handling charges) for items returned in their original condition within 180 days after you receive them. For products returned in original condition within 60 days of when they were received, refunds will be made in your original form of payment equal to your original purchase price (excluding discounts, and any shipping and handling charges)." They will only offer a Blair credit. I want a refund!! My amputee husband isn't likely to need new clothes for dialysis. I am disgusted.

    Shame on Blair for taking unfair advantage of people with their "VIP Plus" program. Somehow they signed me/my mom up for the program and begin taking $14.95 out of 92-year old mother's account monthly without my knowledge or consent. Now, maybe there was a box checked somewhere on my online order in small print that I should have unchecked, but for something like this, it needs to be in plain print and something I choose - not them choosing for me. I'm so disgusted with this company and this low-handed tactic. After several calls to several different phone numbers, I talked to a kind young man and he removed me from "VIP Plus" and supposedly credited my mom's account with the three/four months of payments. Just beware of this company and their deceitful practices.

    Blair is not the same as they once were. They used to have accurate sizing and caring customer care. My recent order was for 3 items. Two pair of Moccasins (they are the only place that sells this style). I ordered both in 7 MED, one was a Claret Red, the other in Bronze. The bronze had 2 black smudges inside and a stitching err, clearly visible. The red pair simply so wide I walk out of them. Chambray top is GRAY, NOT BLUE, by their chart I would need a SMALL, I ordered a Medium, the sleeves are too snug...100% cotton, no way could I risk drying this item in the dryer.

    ALL 3 will be returned, I will be charged automatically $9.99 for return shipping, with their lack of quality today, I wonder if I should risk re-ordering the mocs? Last year, because of a coat being mislabeled, they would never admit the coat was mislabeled and it was. I wanted it bad enough I hung in there, paying shipping fees and return fees. A customer is helpless dealing with Blair. Date of order 9/13/2018.

    This company tricks its customers into signing up for a VIP club for a 10% discount on future purchases and then they charge you $14.95 per month for life! Unless you purchase massive amounts of clothing from these people, who in their right mind would sign up for this subscription? I don't even remember signing up for VIP subscription and others have complained that they never signed up, only made a purchase and were automatically signed up. There is no clear disclosure stating you will be charged every single month and no follow up emails stating you have enrolled to be charged $14.95.

    In fact, I did not even have a password when I tried to log onto VIP section in order to cancel this subscription. It is really hard to cancel online and waiting times for customer service calls is really long and you often get disconnected. I've had to cancel my cc, heeding advice from numerous complaints I found online that people cancel but still keep getting charged. There needs to be a class action suit against these people. I will never purchase another item from this company ever again!

I sent it back on the same day and requested they send it to me in the correct size. It is now August 25 and still have not received my order.     I ordered two pair of pants for an elderly friend. The shipment came claiming there were two pair of pants in the bag. There actually was only one pair in the bag. I contacted Blair and they told me the pants were out of stock and they would issue a credit. It was then my responsibility to pay shipping for a second pair of pants. I asked for them to ship a replacement with free shipping. They told me they could not honor this request and suggested that I join their e-mail club and maybe there would be a free shipping offer if I did so. I find this very poor service.

    Blair uses UPS for shipping. I asked and paid for shipping to my Florida address. UPS transferred to package to US Post Office... my first class mail is being forward my summertime address. So, my Blair package ended up being forwarded to summer address. Then US Post Office wanted $12.60 more in shipping fees for the package. I refused. I called Blair customer service and they would NOT help.

    Recently I ordered some shoes from Blair and when I received them they were way too small considering my shoe size so I sent them back, paying the $10 return fee. Originally they gave me a special promo code to get the sale price but when I received my credit card statement, they had charged the original full price. They should have credited the amount I paid but charged me not only the more expensive price but also the shipping fees for both sending and returning my shoes so I received about a $2.00 refund. I called to complain but they said they have the right to charge for shipping both ways. Needless to say, I am out my money but will never do business with Blair or their "umbrella" companies again.     Never again. Gave them a chance after ordering shoes several times and thought I would expand order to include other things. Now see my report below that I have NEVER received a response to. BLAIR/HABAND PROBLEMS. I am outlining the problems so you can see what has happened and adjust as necessary so that I can get all removed from my account. I have ordered shoes and some pants the last few years but never from Haband and not with your accounting I am being asked to pay almost twice the price amount than I purchased. I will outline the problems below. PINTUCK FLANNEL PAJAMA B18256 - $0. PINTUCK FLANNEL PAJAMA B18256 - $0. Both of these items were exchanged for a 3x. Received both and payment was made with my VISA card... not Blair.

    FLORAL WOVEN GOWN H1G01 - $12.35. BELL SLEEVED BLOUSE BC115 - $16.25. PRINTED VELOUR 2 B6903 - $15.00. These 3 items returned for exchange and received 3X replacements. LACE TRIM TIE DYE BTC12 - $0 never received. This items has never been received and still invoiced. SCHOLLS SNEAKERS - $25.00. Correct item. Now invoice shows $27.00 late fee... Why??? Still did not have everything. Balance of $133.78. Please explain... $91.25 in actual merchandise.

    I paid Comenity Capital $50.00 already to avoid any further late charges. I believe you need to adjust original late charge and interest and I will close out account and cancel Blair Credit Card. Do not need/ All of the above do not include what I paid for VIP membership that I do not want and did not understand the system I am afraid. I will never be ordering on a monthly basis as I am retired and living on a fixed income. I just wish I had canceled immediately. Your response and adjustments would be appreciated.     Ordered several items and returned them because all were a different length than stated. They only credited me for one pair of pants returned when I returned two. I have spent 7 hours talking to customer service and they still have not credited me for the second pair of pants. They can't seem to tell the difference between one and two.     Ordered a $40 item in November 2017 for my mother. She passed away in January without ever having worn the item. Contacted Blair Customer Service for return instructions in March. They indicated I was eligible for merchandise credit only. I received the credit certificate in an amount of $21. I ordered an item costing $17.99 which had to be returned for incorrect sizing, requesting an exchange. They reported back that it would now cost me another $9 if I wanted to receive the correct sized item. I was enraged. I've gone from paying $40 for items returned to them. Blair's policies for return items --- unlike any I have ever experienced in my life and I am a senior citizen-- ensure that I will never purchase from them again and will warn anyone else about their nefarious policies. They should be put out of business.

    I was treated well by the customer service rep on a very bad experience of the terrible shipping service the company offers. First of all, the company offers very limited and expensive shipping alternatives. The complicated system, made me responsible of confirming shipment after the order was placed and my card was charged, based on an email I never received. When I made mention of never receiving the email, the company never apologized for the miscommunication but kept my money. The order was never delivered and since then all the company responses to my emails blame me for the shipping problems. I had to call twice to get the charge refunded. Very disappointed and frustrated. And my mother never got her Mother's Day gift on time.

    Got a shower head and for 40 dollars it was flimsy cheap material. Not metal. Similar to standard shower heads. Soon as I attached it, it snapped in 2. Get this. Took a month and constant calls, messages, emails, more calls and concern. After a month I wouldn't be able to return it and be stuck with it. The company that actually made and shipped the item DOESN'T HAVE ANY OBLIGATION TO UPHOLD TO THEIR POLICY.

    Return procedure was to call a number which results in a voicemail every time. No call back, I called again, then called Haband customer service who said they'd email the co telling them to email me the label. Instead they offered to send replacement part BUT ONLY AFTER Ii TOOK A FREAKING PHOTO OF IT AND SENT IT. I called refusing to, then was promised label would be mailed. No label, now I'm mad!!! I said I was entitled to return it, demanded service. Still no reply. I was refunded my money but not told. The co tried every way to not refund it to me knowing it was a damaged item. Pay attention to orders and charges and procedures.

    My 81 year old mother has been trying for 6 months to close out her credit account with Blair. In February, while visiting my mother in New York, we sat down together and called Blair, attempting to get about $150 in late fees (on a zero balance) removed from her account. My mother had purchased something from Blair and later returned it. The credit was applied but late fees have bee accumulating on the account ever since. The representative finally agreed to remove all late charges but a day later, yet ANOTHER late fee (on a zero balance) appeared.

    My mother cannot hear very well, and found the offshore customer service reps impossible to understand. She put together her credit card statements and Blair statements and sent them to me. I called today, attempting to get the $32 late fee (did I mention this late fee was applied to a zero balance) and was greeted with "oh, we need her on the phone". Passed to a manager, I explained that I had a reference call from a previous call where all identities were verified, I had the name of the rep that I previously spoke with and they refused to even look at the account.

    I explained that it was fine, they did not have to share any information, that I had it in hand already, but that there was obviously an account error and could someone please review it. The automaton refused to even refer the account to someone for review. I explained to them that I believe Blair is a company whose business model is built around preying on the elderly and that they disgusted me. In addition to posting here I plan on filing a complaint with the New York Consumer Protection Agency and the Better Business Bureau. I am not a lawyer, or expert in consumer law but I believe their behavior is tantamount to fraud.

    Updated on 06/27/2018: My elderly mother made the mistake of opening a credit card account with this company to make a purchase. The merchandise was crap, she returned it, they credited the return. Over the last year or so, they continued to rack up "late fees" on the zero balance account to the tune of $176.18. After 3 calls of 30 minutes each, the first assuring me that the matter was resolved, the second they wouldn't talk to me even though I had previously been authorized on the account, and the third just now, I HOPE this account has been finally closed. We'll see in a month whether they deliver a bill of $200+ or a statement of account closing. AVOID AVOID AVOID!

    I am so disappointed in Blair. Here's a company that has been around for a long time and it has sold out its Customer Service to some foreign country where they hire robots who read scripts and don't have a clue how to listen. I am done ordering from this company and wasting precious time having to call 5 and 6 times to get things straightened out because these Stepford CSR's are too busy chatting away their script instead of listening to your issue. They give you a code for free shipping then explain you can either order by phone or online but online won't take the code. OK? So then you get to do their job by reading off every number and code and description and price hoping they get it right. Amazing how fast a good company can go down in integrity just by refusing to pay for good help. My advice is sell your products overseas and leave Americans to real American companies.

    I have bought 4 pairs of Scandia Woods side elastic men's jeans. I started buying from Blair, because they offer a 28" length. I bought the first two pair 11/01/2017, the second 2 pair 01/25/2018. The first two pair both ripped on the left crotch area, just left of the zipper. These jeans are very baggy and the material is thin. I wrote Blairs and encloses a picture of the tear and all I got back was a copy of their return policy. I decided to try them one more time and bought two more pair in January of this year. Here it is the 1st of April and one pair has already got the same tear as before.     I ordered a vest and capris from the Blair catalog. When I received the items they were two different shades of stone. They were listed separately in the catalog with the color of the vest and capris both listed as Stone 009. I have ordered them two times now. The first time I was obviously surprised at the difference in color. I called and spoke to a customer service rep and was told she could also see a difference in color, she researched it further and said they were made in two different places, and to send them back. She said she would make note of the difference, and to make sure the color of the items matched. I sent that order back and noted on the invoice that although they were the same color number and name they didn't match. I also noted if they didn't match I did not want to reorder and would like credit to my account - include shipping charges since it wasn't my error.

    A day later I received a voicemail from another representative from Blair. Who not so nicely said the reason they were two different colors was that they were listed separately and not as a set. Using the same color code and number... Really?! I don't understand how you can order two items with the very same color name and number and not EXPECT them to match! I received an order yesterday, the color difference is even more pronounced. The capris are a grayish stone color and the vest is more of a yellow stone color...still both packages show the color as 009 Stone. The invoice that accompanied the order had typed on it "Examine color" and "Please check the color on each item, make sure they match" both comments highlighted in pink! I need to have my account credited with both the purchase and shipping. This whole fiasco was caused by Blair and their inability to advertise items correctly.

    Last month I ordered an item from the Blair catalog. To pay for that item, I submitted a personal check and a refund check that Blair had sent me in March because an item I had wanted was no longer available. Two weeks later, I received an envelope from Blair that contained the refund check plus a form letter that stated the company cannot process "third-party/outdated..." checks. There was NO order number on the form, NO identifying communication that stated what had happened, so I called Blair. The representative I spoke with could not explain what happened or why the refund check had not been processed - frankly she could not tell me anything at all. She instructed me to return the refund check to the company address with a note that contained a series of numbers she said would ensure that the payment would be properly handled.

    I followed her instructions. Then, late last week, I received another note from Blair asking for payment on the order. I called them again, and again was essentially told to wait until they could locate the order/personal check/refund check. So I am waiting... All of this is to say that I will not be ordering from Blair again. I know that they do business as Blair, Haband, Old Pueblo Traders and other names. I do not know if they are a conglomerate, if they recently have changed ownership, or how they train their representatives.

    What I do know is that I will not burden them with my patronage any further. I have read the reviews left by others and I absolutely concur with their thoughts. It was especially disturbing to me to read about the family who was trying to deal with demands from Blair that they settle a non-existent, 10-year-old debt. This company or set of companies does not need my business, and their poor assessment on this rating site is evidence of that fact. I doubt that anything will improve on their end, and I would encourage other customers and/or potential customers to spend their money elsewhere.

    Updated on 04/03/2018: What I had failed to mention was that I had been a very long-term customer of theirs. After posting my initial review, I called Blair to check on the status of my order and to confirm that the refund check they had mistakenly returned to me would be applied to my pending order along with my personal check. I was very disappointed when I was told by the representative that they never received my personal check.

    It was only after I gave them information from my bank that they had already cashed my check that the representative acknowledged it, and even then she sounded confused. I then told her to cancel my pending order and return my monies. That, at least, will solve this issue. I will not order from Blair or any of their affiliated companies again. This was the second time in six months that I had encountered problems with an order I had placed, and it will be the last time. As I mentioned in my initial review, it is unclear to me if this set of companies has changed hands recently and/or undergone some sort of restructuring, but it is clear that quality of service has declined considerably.

    My mother ordered some products years ago and paid her bill off completely and now she's getting phone calls from the company, or whoever it's turned over to, stating that she didn't pay her bill in full and I know for a fact that she did. Reason being is because I was the one loading the card for her to send it. We purchased a prepaid Visa just for the purpose of making her payments. I really didn't have a problem with this company and was considering a purchase, but seeing as though she's being accused of not paying her bill in full, I'm really skeptical about it.

    This has been YEARS AGO since she ordered products from this company. If she owed any money why was it not settled or mentioned before now (which like I said before...it's been paid in full). This has been over 10+ years ago and it's just now being brought to our attention.     Purchased a Dell Computer on 12/29/17 for the price of $249.00. Rec'd computer in January 2018. I tried to set it up, but could not. Contacted my Internet Service which is Cox Cable here in Florida and they could not set it up. So the Tech asked me to find the serial number of the computer which I did and low and behold, they are selling used computers or reconditioned computers and you are thinking they are new. The Tech from Cox Cable, verified that the computer was built in 2010. I have made numerous phone calls to return to GCM Tech Support out of Minnesota. No one ever answers the phone, but once in a while they will call back. It took 2 months for me to return the computer to GCM Tech for an authorization. I put the computer on my charge with Comenity Bank which deals with Blair/Haband but still no credit on my account. I keep calling and keep being put off.

    I am on a limited income being 71. Plus they are charging me service charges. Customer service is useless. So I contacted State Attorney Pam Bondi's office in Tallahassee and supposedly they sent a letter which they need to respond in 30 days. Haven't heard a thing. Tried calling the company today again, and all you get are voicemails. No one ever calls you back. Contacting Billing, Shipping, Customer Service etc. It is very frustrating! I feel this company is a scam!!!

    I had ordered one top for my sister for Christmas, and then I realized after I placed the order that I needed to order a different size for her. I called back 5-10 minutes later and they told me that they would cancel that order and reorder the same top in a different size. Later on, my sister got the canceled top and also got the correct top. Then she returned the canceled top to the Post Office. Recently I received my Blair bill showing that the top WAS returned, but they were charging me for the shipping on the canceled top! I thought this was ridiculous because it was THEIR mistake not to cancel the order, and now they expect me to pay on the shipping + handling and the gift wrap.

    When I called the customer service department about this matter, the woman I spoke to was disrespectful and would continuously interrupt me when I was talking and would talk over me. She tried to create an air of confusion in the conversation to jumble my thoughts when I knew EXACTLY what happened! During the call, she put me on hold multiple times when I asked to speak to her supervisor, and she would NEVER connect me to her supervisor! The final time I asked to speak to her supervisor she hung up on me! I have been a faithful customer of Blair for 18 years! This is a horrendous way to treat a loyal customer. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in Blair and how they attempt to resolve their mistakes!!!

    In today's e-commerce world, charging $9.99 for return postage, whether returning or exchanging is ridiculous. I would have exchanged my too-big pants for a smaller size, except -- even with an exchange, the return postage charge still applies. I can go along with a small re-stocking fee on straight up returns, but not return postage. This is not competitive and to me, constitutes poor customer service. I would suggest going elsewhere to get a better exchange and return policy. Note to self: check return policies with new online retailers before ordering and getting ripped off. This policy is not only unfair to Blair's customers, but also endangers the employment of their workforce, as customers will abandon them.

    This company is very rude. I placed an order with Blair this morning. The order did go through but they kept sending me messages that there was a problem with my credit card. There was no problem with it. The charge appeared on my bank account but they were still trying to get me to use another card so they can charge me twice. I called Blair, they claim they couldn't find my order. They are just giving me a runaround. I contacted my bank about this and they told me to wait 24 hours and if I don't hear from the company they will be calling them to get my money back. I was told the order might of went to one of their other companies like Haband. This is a big rip off. I ordered from Blair not Haband. I would not recommend ordering from them especially online. My bank told me to do it over the phone next time.

    Be aware that this catalog sales company will charge you freight on your order, even though they advertise the opposite. They will also charge you sales tax and claim they have a state presence (Florida in my case). Although, they can’t seem to tell me where they are in FL. Basically, they are the opposite of, let’s say, L.L. Bean (which is outstanding). Very frustrated that I’m paying $9.99 in freight for a $30 order.     In September 2017 I purchased Fresh sport shirt and matching sport pants in size medium. They sent me correct size in the shirt which ran large. The pants were sent size large. I sent them back in early October stating that they sent me the wrong pant size. I explained that I am a medium in both shirt and pants. They sent me a medium in November which was very large on me. I sent them back in November and asked for a petite small. I had not heard nor received anything by December 27th. I called and was informed that they were out of this size.

    Also that because I had returned the pants Blair deducted $10.00 off of my credit and that I only had $10.00 credit left.     First time ordering from this company... and now the LAST! Ordered 8 Silhouette Slimmers to replace current rayon/polyester work pants. I called reps 3X prior to ordering to get tips on sizing and material quality. I explicitly explained that I was in my 40s and wanted a classic style, easy wear, no iron comfortable pant with deep pockets because we can't bring purses into our work area. I was skeptical of ordering because they charge 9.99 to return shipment. That's why I asked so many questions. Well, when I received these I was absolutely mortified. The material was coarse and the style looked like it was geared for someone in their 80s. It wasn't remotely classic more like a black burlap bag. They looked and felt horrible. The pockets barely could fit gum and lipstick. I returned but called customer service to waive charge given all the discussion I had with reps prior to eliminate any confusion.

    I was told to write an explanation with my reason for return and they would determine if s/h back could be waived. I circled item not as pictured or described by rep and did not like material/fabric. They didn't even have the common courtesy to email, or mail a reply to my complaint but deducted the $9.99 from my refund anyway. I called to complain yet I got a lame story that they can't make those decisions it comes from the warehouse yet they would my forward me or give me another contact number. On top of this they have the audacity to keep sending me a catalog after I've made 3 phone calls to have them stopped yet I'm still receiving it. Very upset with the lack of customer satisfaction skills.

    My mother has Alzheimer’s. She was signed up for a preferred buyers club. I could only get info from Blair for the last 18 months. No purchases except for the buyers club 14.95/month. With late fees and interest she owes almost $900. I contacted Blair to close the acct and negotiate payment for purchases. Told them I would pay for all real purchases and interest for them. Was told I would have to open the account again to do this. All kinds of confusing offers to try and get me to sign her up again. WORST predators I have seen. Get 3 calls a day looking for my mother in law from the credit card company. No resolution in site. Threatening to ruin her credit. I will not pay. They can call all they want.

    Be careful when returning an item to Blair for return or exchange using the Free Postage sticker they send you with your purchase. I returned a jacket for EXCHANGE ONLY and attached the Free Postage sticker they sent me and within days was sent a letter stating I owed them $9.99 for postage. I emailed and telephoned them and was told there is a flat rate postage fee of $9.99 for return or exchange. They are deducting $9.99 from my refund that is due. Not fair since the label clearly states FREE POSTAGE. This sounds like a scam.

    My elderly mother signed up for the VIP club. I'm sure she was enticed by getting an extra 10% off her order or some such deal, and didn't read the VERY fine print saying that she would be charged $14.98 per month forever afterward -- which FAR outweighs the percent off she got on her order. My mom is not an idiot -- she is pretty sharp for her age -- but she IS elderly (as are probably most of their customers). I feel this company is purposely out to trick their customers. I see from other reviews that many others have had this same experience. The fact that there will be a monthly charge for being a VIP should be prominently displayed. As far as I know Blair makes good products, so it's very disheartening that they stoop to such a cheesy tactic for getting people to pay $14.98 a month.

    Return and exchange - new policy is a dirty trick. Blair just started a new policy of charging shipping for returned AND/OR exchanged merchandise even if what is sent to the customer is the wrong size or is poor quality. I was going to exchange a pair of pants that were labeled as my size but which were obviously made wrong because they are too small. They are the same size as a pair of Alfred Dunner pants I own that are a size smaller than what I am currently wearing. When I called Blair customer service they said I would have to pay $9.99 if I used their shipping label or I could mail the wrong sized pants back by other mailing carrier method if I wanted to save a few dollars.

    Since I only paid $15.99 for the mis-sized pants, I don't see any point in returning them and receiving about $5 when the expense of returning them is figured in. If I "exchange", I will have to pay for both the new pants being sent to me AND the returned pants being shipped. In other words, there is no advantage to exchange -- there really is no exchange policy. You are just starting over. When I spoke to customer service, they had no access to whomever created this policy. They don't even have the right to give out an address or name of their policymakers. This is a crappy, scamming company, in my opinion. Don't order from them. It is too high risk.

    We purchased some items for Blair over the phone and were asked if we wanted a 10% discount on one extra item. Little did we know, and this was never mentioned, that they were signing us up for the VIP PL club and then charging us $14.97 every month without our authorization. We did not notice it on our bill for several months.

    We contacted them to remove us from this club and refund the money, but we have had no contact from them. We then looked on Consumer Affairs and found others were treated the same way. The sad thing is we have purchased many things from them over the years, but not anymore. So they have lost a good customer over this shady practice. Shame on them.     I ordered four items from the Blair catalogue (by telephone). When the items were sent, I immediately tried them on, nothing fit! I sent the items back immediately on the same day that I received them. I wanted a refund on the items but they credited it to a Blair account I had opened in 2013. They will not refund the money, will only put it back on the account and the only way to "get it back" is to order something which will not probably fit either... so it's just a round robin effect. They make you have to keep ordering. I think this would be considered "fraud". I will never order another item from Blair and will discourage any of my friends or acquaintances from ordering from Blair.

    Ordered product trying to use their sizing chart. Everything was too large. When I realized I would have to pay shipping back I called telling them I was exchanging. Told it was not their fault and I would have to pay shipping back and shipping for new order. Not feeling very good about customer service I decided to cut my losses and just return order. They phoned me when they received product and told me I would have to pay shipping, fine send me a final bill. No final bill came but received notice from bank that my payment was late so I was being charged a $27 late fee.

    When I called and tried to explain was told there was nothing they could do. I did not make the minimum payment on original bill even though my minimum payment was more than I owed. Also when asked for explanation of total charges was told I also would not get my sales tax back? Is that legal? We are up to $52 for shipping late charge and sales tax and no product. Unbelievable.

    Placed my order 5 days ago. Noticed that confirmation had the wrong address, which I am sure I entered correctly. Emailed them right away, they said nothing can be done cause the order was shipped, yet online order status said it wasn't. Waited a few days, meanwhile asking them again and again for assistance in correcting the unshipped order with no luck, and now it is showing out of stock. Asked them to cancel it since they don't have the items they told me they can't promise the cancellation will be successful. Wtf? As soon as I said I am disputing the charge, the items are just now showing as "being processed" but still not shipped. I'm leaving in a week on long vacation, wanted this solved before I go, but does not look promising. Please do not buy from these uncoordinated scammers.

    I am so tired of having to return items and having to pay the high shipping cost! If Blair would accurately label their sizes, I would not have to return/exchange items! This is the second or third time I have had to do this and I'm not going to do it again. Until they change their return shipping and sizing guidelines, I will not purchase from them again!

    The products are good, customer service not so much. We ordered a cute top for mom mid May so she could have it by her 90th birthday party the end of June. The item was back ordered and Blair offered no updates whatsoever as to when it was available or when that shipped. Despite several emails about the need to have it by a certain date they offered no options on speeding up the shipping. There was no notification of when the item shipped or when we could expect it. This is just not acceptable in this day and age. We will be hard pressed to order from them again.

    On May 25, I spent 20 minutes talking with "Carol" about a defective jacket I returned. I stated on the return form that I was unable to place my left arm in the sleeve as it was twisted inside and must have been sewn crooked. The right arm went through smoothly but I made several unsuccessful attempts to put my left arm through. I got the standard "I checked with my supervisor" response from Carol, who then informed me the Return Dept. could find nothing wrong with the garment so I was being charged the $9.99 return shipping. She said she didn't know why I couldn't get my arm through, the Return Dept. said it was fine. Why would I return an item for the exact same item (color and size) if I could wear it? That makes no sense. I lost my temper a bit because the item truly was defective and I feel cheated. The return policy is a scam.

    This was my first and will be my last transaction with Blair. On the Blair website, they list numerous 4-5 star ratings but only a few negative reviews. I attempted to go back in and amend my review but was unable to do so. I visited the BBB website and found a ton of unfavorable reviews/complaints. I should have done my homework before I ordered from this company. I broke my own rule of ordering from a catalog company and clothing no less. Stay away from this company.

    I purchased a garment from Blair and was charged USD14.97 monthly for a VIP membership which I did not sign up for. Realized the issue after a few months. Called up my bank to dispute the charges and found that the only way out was to cancel my card. I searched online and found that my experiences are shared by others and the only way out is apparently to cancel your card.

    I ordered 3 pair Capris. A few days later, I received an email stating 2 of the 3 Capris were out of stock. I replied to that email asking them to cancel the entire order since 2/3 was not in stock. Blair Customer Service reply stated they couldn't cancel the order since shipping was sent out soon after order. However, I did not receive an email stating the item had shipped for several days after that reply. Finally, at what I would consider a longer than usual shipping time nowadays, I received a pair of shorts, not Capris!

    So, again I emailed customer service asking for direction regarding how to return the "wrong item shipped." I felt that I should not be charged $9.99 return fee when it was their mistake. The reply I received stated to send back using prepaid return label and they would decide after receiving the item if the return fee could be waived. Let me say, there is NO WAY I am going to trust Blair to waive the $9.99 return fee despite the fact it is their mistake, not mine. I have shopped Blair online for YEARS! Liked the clothing, liked reasonable shipping time, liked receptive and helpful customer service. Today's Blair - horrible!!! What happened?
