I ordered some flowers for my mother's birthday and ordered the "deluxe - as shown" version of the flowers costing me $60. I also ordered the "medium box of candy" for $25. The flowers that were delivered could have been purchased at Walmart for $10 and the candy was Russell Stover's 12 oz which could have been purchased at Walmart for less than $9. The total order with everything including some handling charges was $90. The flowers were horrible. I contacted the company and sent them the picture and they even agreed with me that it was not what I ordered and agreed to resend them.
The next batch was worse than the first, but when I asked for a refund, I was told that based on the second photo, I had gotten what I paid for. What??? The photo on their site showed over 40 flowers of various purple colors. What she got was maybe, maybe, a dozen. They looked like they had been arranged by my 9 year old grandson. Now the company will not even talk to me. They are satisfied they took care of the issue. Do NOT order from them. They are awful. The photos show what was pictured (deluxe - as shown), second is first batch I received and third is the second batch. You tell me.

DO NOT USE AVAS Flowers. I ordered them on 7/19. Total was 64. Email I received reflected 82 with no delivery charge, and when I called them back was told that was a process handling fee. Received a call later that day that they could not be delivered and did not have the flowers for the arrangement I picked out. I tried to cancel since they could not deliver what I ordered. They would not do this, instead offered to send a premium arrangement with a balloon and would be delivered the next day. When I visited my friend in the hospital I was appalled at what she received. It was small with only 2 roses and a couple of carnations. Could have picked up in a grocery store for 20-25 dollars. I tried calling them and they insist that this is what I ordered and offered me a 15 store credit. I will never order thru this company again.

If I could give this company 0 I would have. I called five days prior to have a simple white carnation vase arrangement taken to a funeral home which I was told was only a few blocks from where they were. I paid them $51.73 to get it there on Fri. morning and for the arrangement. I got a call from them that same morning saying they needed another $50.00 to deliver them to the funeral home. I told them no way I wanted a refund and that they were taking advantage of people's grief to make a big profit. I had to go through 4 people and 2 hours of frustration to get them to say that they were refunding my money. Only time will tell whether they lied about that or not.
I then called a local florist close to there who gave me a number for a florist who was close to the church where the ashes were to be taken and thankfully she was very nice, spoke perfect English and delivered for us that very same day and for much less than I originally paid Avas. People please do a google search and try and find a local florist who will not only save you the frustration and time but you won't have to try and grieve and fight with florist at the same time.

10% off coupon that was clearly available for my product did not work. Funny thing is the error message it returned said it was only available for several items one of which was the product I had selected. You get an order summary that has all taxes, delivery fees, etc. or so I thought. Only after entering my credit card info and continuing did I notice they had added an additional line for a $13.95 service and handling fee. Very misleading. After reading other reviews on Avas and given my experience I chose to work with a local florist directly.

I ordered flowers on 7/20 for my sister's birthday on 7/21. I asked for delivery by 1:00. At 1:16 pm eastern time, I received the first phone call saying that they could not make the 1:00 delivery and "would later in the afternoon be ok?" Of course it wasn't ok because I did ask for a delivery before 1:00. "And by the way, if you couldn't deliver by 1:00, why did you wait until after 1:00 to call me?" I finally agreed to a later delivery time only to receive a phone call at 1:27 pm to say that a delivery today would not be possible and "would next Thursday work?" "Wait, what? But today is my sister's birthday!" "Sorry ma'am but we can't make it today."
I asked to cancel the order and was connected to Carmen. Carmen was apologetic and said she would look into the issue and call me back in 30 minutes. 52 minutes later Carmen called and said she was still working on the order, but would it be ok if she called my sister to apologize and the flowers could be delivered on Friday, 7/22. "Again. TODAY is my sister's birthday! So, no! And if you can deliver on 7/22, why can't you deliver today on 7/21??" Carmen said to give her 20 more minutes and she would call me back with a final answer. 45 minutes later (3:33) no phone call from Carmen so I call (for the 2nd time) to cancel the order as it had to be delivered by 4:00 pm eastern time.
Ryan, I think, couldn't find Carmen so I'm transferred to another person who still wants to deliver the flowers on Friday or give me an Internet credit of $100. Seriously? I have spent 3 hours on the phone with a group of people who are although pleasant, DO NOT KNOW what they are doing. I finally receive a confirmation email that my order is cancelled but it could take up to 10 days to receive my refund.
I will NEVER use this company again and if you decide to give them a chance, do so at your own risk. You will be disappointed! I depended on your company to follow through with the order. If that was not possible, someone should have called me first thing this morning to let me know it wasn't possible so that I could have made alternative arrangements.

I ordered flowers on Friday for delivery in Pueblo (same city) on Monday after 11:00 a.m. I specifically asked for no pink or yellow flowers and no pink or yellow ribbon on bouquet. The operator taking the order was not proficient in English and was difficult to understand. They apparently didn't bother to contact me when they weren't able to deliver Monday and left hangtag saying they had been there. This was even though my friend was home the entire day. When I saw a photo of the arrangement, I was sick. It was the exact opposite of what I had requested; mostly pink and yellow flowers with a yellow bow. It looked like it could have come from King Soopers.
Since the bouquet and $13.95 "quality handling charge" (yes, "delivery is free!") cost right at $75.00 it wasn't small change to me. I contacted them the next morning right after 9:00 a.m. I spoke to another representative who spoke broken English and who would not give me the local number for the physical location of the shop. I was put on hold for 20 minutes, then automatically switched to choose 1 or 2 for service, etc. voice. That meant I was left on hold for at least 25 minutes. I was NEVER able to speak to anyone or resolve my issue. No more Avas for me. They should be put out of business.

I ordered flowers under the same day deliver tab. Two days later the flowers had not been delivered. I called and requested to cancel the order. They ignored my request and said they would give me an $8 credit on an $85 order. I again asked to cancel the order and asked for a refund. They said a nurse signed for the flowers and they would give me $20 Avas Flowers credit points. I again asked to cancel the order and requested a refund.
It is now 6 days later, my flowers never made it to my 94-year-old grandmother's room and they have ceased to care or return my calls or emails. I spoke to 6 different representatives within this company and all were not helpful and implied that I was lying about not getting the flowers. I am in the hospital room where the flowers were said to be delivered and there are NO flowers. They kept my money and I still have no flowers. Do yourself a favor and use another company. This company is a sad excuse for a floral delivery company. They lack integrity, honesty and overall care for their customers!

Ordered flowers for same day delivery. Was called and said it can't be that day. Would have to be next day. I agreed. Got another call saying that the delivery is far away and they need more money. I told him no, I put the address in when I set up the order and it was already suppose to be for same day and now it isn't. I was told I would have to speak to someone else. Another lady gets on the phone and is trying to tell me I have to pay $7.50 more. I said no, cancel my order, then she said "well okay we can do it for $5." I said "NO! I am not negotiating a price." Again, I stated I wanted to cancel my order. A manager was put on the phone to cancel the order. She assured me she would make sure the flowers were delivered at no extra cost and apologized to me. This was after being on the phone for 30 min!
The day of delivery, the flowers were never delivered. I got a delivery confirmation, but the person said no flowers arrived. I called to cancel my order. Was on hold for 22 min to get me to a manager. Manager wouldn't cancel order without talking to florist who was suppose to delivery flowers. They were already closed for the day. I went round and round about such terrible customer service and how to treat people and being on hold forever both days. I ended up calling my credit card company and disputing the charges to my card. I have never had such terrible customer service and been on hold so long for just trying to order or cancel flowers. I will never use them again!!!

I was promised my order would arrive same day. I even changed my order to ensure same day delivery. I was later contacted stating it would arrive next day due to all deliveries to hospitals being in the morning. I decided to go back to my original order as this is the one I wanted. My original order was a lower price, however I was told they could refund the difference. I was promised 2 balloons for the delayed delivery. When I received a new receipt for the order change it had a higher price. The next day the order arrived well after noon. The flowers looked dead and there was only 1 latex balloon. This was a bad experience and I would not use them again.

Do NOT use this company. Flowers delivered were NOT quality flowers shown on their website and were NOT professionally arranged, substitution was equal to a 5yr old picking posies and putting them in vase. Picture was lilies, roses, carnations and baby's breath with very little greens (very nice). Received was a daisy, a few closed carnations, a few closed snapdragons and 75% greens. Customer service SUCKS. After speaking with 5 representatives all they would do is $6 off $63 invoice. One supervisor replied to me "I need to wrap this up because I have other customers I need to talk to..." REALLY!!!

I ordered an arrangement of red rose Heart for a funeral - they came late and the flowers were dead - drooping and black. I was so embarrassed, and mad because the arrangement was $191.00! Their customer service is seriously lacking; I can only assume this is the way they run their business all the time because not one of them was apologetic. DO NOT USE AVAS FLOWERS.

Wanted to send a bouquet of flowers to my girlfriend's work. I used the online delivery option which was pretty straightforward. I specifically mentioned to deliver by 4 pm or to call me if not possible to re-arrange with another company. At 4 pm still no word on delivery, and the email confirmation was useless as it gave no transit information. I had to call in to an operator who checked on my order and left me on the phone for 5 minutes waiting.
When he got back on the line he asked if I wanted to cancel my order! No I said I want to check on my status, then he tried to put me on hold again. I asked him to call me back when he had the correct info. A representative called me back fairly quickly to explain that they had not processed my order do to server malfunctions. She offered to resend the order the next day... this pissed me off because the occasion was special and wanted it there for a specific reason that had to do with the day at hand, but I tried to understand their side and said ok. She offered an upgrade for my inconvenience but could not provide me any info of what that upgrade was or a printout of my upgrade for my records. I still agreed.
I mentioned to her that I wanted the order to arrive in the morning of the next day and if they could not do it to tell me so I could order with another company. She assured me that I would receive some type of email confirmation for my troubles and what was entailed in the upgrade which I never received. Next day at 2:30 PM still the flowers are not delivered. Asked what my upgrade was and they said they included two balloons... are you kidding me? She also offered me a $15 coupon for my next purchase as if I would ever buy from them again. No compensation or discount of any kind and as I am writing this, it is almost 3 pm and the flowers have not arrived. Please save yourself the stress and use a local company that values individual transactions. this company has no idea how to manage customer service.

I found Avas Flowers via a search online. The reason I chose them as they boasted of local service and they could deliver the next day. One of my employees was hospitalized on a Friday and I ordered a gift basket for delivery to him at the hospital the next day. It was not delivered and apparently delivery was attempted on Monday, but was unsuccessful. I received an email confirming "delivery," but the email confirmation had the words "CANCEL" in the body. So, I called their customer service number and went round and round through their automated system, never being able to get connected with a person. Therefore, I emailed the "contacts" address to see if this was delivered or not. They replied and also sent me a text message with a number to call where I was able to speak with a live person.
After being handed off to a 2nd rep, who said the florist had attempted delivery on Monday, but was unsuccessful (my employee was still there) I decided at that time to ask for a refund, and was transferred to a 3rd rep, an executive. I requested a refund and he then put me on hold while he "researched" my order. After about 5 minutes of being on hold, he explained they were unable to locate the recipient at the hospital. I explained to him that he was now (Tuesday) discharged from the hospital and they asked for another address for delivery. I said I wanted a refund, and he said he could give me only a partial refund due to the fact the local florist had already created the gift basket.
I decided that instead of fighting a losing battle, I would allow them to deliver the basket to my employee's home. I have used online florists like FTD before, with no issue, and this is BY FAR the worst experience I've ever had. Avas Flowers has terrible customer service and does not stand by its guarantee for next day delivery.

I should have seen the red flag when the service rep explained the total for my order included an automatic $16 "service fee" which isn't mentioned on their website. My order was placed at about 12:35 PM on Friday, July 8. I received a message at 2:30 same day stating that deliveries had already been made in that area and it would be delivered Saturday afternoon. I talked to the recipient on Sunday who told me the flowers were delivered on Saturday afternoon and looked terrible - maybe they were in the van overnight while we're having heat advisories.
I don't know if she called them or if Dover's Florist in Summerville called to check, but they said they would deliver a fresh bouquet on Monday. After reading the tremendous amount of "fine print" at Avas' website, it appears that they "guarantee" delivery if the order is placed before 2:00 PM. Not only were they VERY late and in VERY poor condition, the arrangement that came on Monday was considerably smaller and less densely arranged than their website photo depicted. I won't use Avas or Dover's in the future.

This is the first time I ever used this company. I called Avas Flowers on Saturday July 9th at 12:30PM to order an arrangement to be sent to my daughter's place of business. I spoke with a Jay and he guaranteed delivery would be in 2-3 hours. I received a text message from Avas at 3:16pm that the delivery was made. I was at my daughter's business at that time and it was NOT delivered. I called Avas at that time and a woman named Carol told me that the text message was sent because the delivery person left the shop at that time. That didn't make one bit of sense to me. She "assured" me it would be there at any moment. We waited until 6:30pm and the flowers still never came. My daughter's business is open until 9pm and still nothing.
I called Avas the next morning and spoke with a woman and she kept insisting to me that they were delivered and left outside the front door! I told her that was a flat out lie and I will be damned for them to charge me $88.92 for a delivery that was never made. I asked to speak with a manager. She kept me on hold for over 10 minutes then disconnected me. She didn't have the common courtesy to call me back. So "again" I had to call and I spoke with a Carlos this time. He got in touch with the florist that supposedly delivered the arrangement and they admitted it wasn't delivered but that they would deliver it on Monday
By this time I was so disgusted that I had Carlos issue the full credit back to my account which he did right away. I asked Carlos for the name and phone # of the florist so I could call them also to issue a complaint. However, he said he isn't allowed to give out that information! Really?? That too sounded very shady to me. Buyers beware. Don't make the same mistake I did by trying AvasFlowers.com. Stick to calling your local florist shops.

I ordered a sympathy arrangement for a funeral in USA thinking this florist was best because it appeared to be in local area. I tried to order online but was having difficulty so I phoned them. Girl assured me they would be delivered that day 1st of July and I would get email confirming delivery. They sent me invoice, I didn't get delivery confirmation so I emailed them, no reply. I completed their online survey and complained, no reply. I checked a few times online, no delivery date. I had to phone them again from Ireland on 9th of July and despite the fact I told girl several times I was phoning from Ireland she kept putting me on hold. She eventually came back and told me the flowers were delivered on 5th of July. I would not recommend this florist. Full price charged, no refund or satisfactory apology. Would never use them again.

Avas Florist Advertises that they are "NATIONWIDE". It is not true. They use Teleflora and FTD to fulfill that claim. When you order from them they take their cut of the purchase price and then send it to a "real" local florist who must then try to fulfill the order shown but at a reduced cost. Otherwise they would be put out of business. Here are some rules when ordering Flowers.
2) When possible talk to the Florist Directly.
3) I have called the local Florist from Korea and Iraq to send my wife flowers... She loved what she got.
4) Realize that the pictures are "Photo-shopped". (Have you ever got a burger that looked like the picture at a restaurant?) The local florist will try to get as close as possible but they still need to make a profit to keep the doors open.

It looked nothing like the picture. Yes it was a heart shape. Color scheme was nothing close to the picture.
I ordered a custom made banner that I was charged for and never received it. The card that accompanied the arrangement looked like a 3x5 card with scribble on it. Arrangement was 285$. Spoke to 3 different managers who said someone will get back to me. Called again today. They want to give me a 20$ Avas credit. The mgr said it would be escalated. They never contacted my friend's phone, they never contacted me, and they claim I gave them a wrong address. They didn't deliver to their commitment by 4:00 pm because my friend was at her home until 8:00 pm. On 6/30/16 I ordered a floral arrangement to be delivered along with 3 balloons and a stuffed Teddy bear for a total of $111+. ( Please see attached receipt). The next day I received a voice mail instructing me to call Avas. After holding for 45 minutes, I was told that SOME of the flowers, the lavender roses, were not available. After confirming that the lavender vase and the teddy with a matching lavender ribbon would be included, I approved the substitution of the lavender roses with lavender lilies and white spider mums.
Imagine my dismay when the recipient sent me a photo of the arrangement (see attached photos). In place of the teddy was a stuffed pony, fit for a five year old. The arrangement was in a green vase with a polka dotted ribbon, nothing lavender about it. Instead of 3 balloons there was only one. I contacted Avas, again holding at least 45 minutes. After an additional half hour of back and forth, their resolution was to give me a $20 credit. As I was on my way out of town, I asked a friend who was sharing in the floral gift, to call Avas on my behalf and seek a more equitable resolution. My friend also held for almost an hour and was finally able to negotiate a $33.95 refund, of which $20 came from the local florist who waived their delivery fee. I find this totally unacceptable as I requested either a full refund or a new arrangement that more closely resembled my order.
On a side note, I have spoken to the local florist and do not hold them responsible as they furnished proof that they filled the order as instructed by Avas. Apparently Avas informed them that I had approved all substitutions, which was absolutely not the case. Avas also tried to tell me that I ordered a "stuffed animal" when my receipt not only shows a picture of the teddy bear but also specifies BEAR-X in the product code column and that the one Mylar balloon was an upgrade from the 3 balloons I ordered. It comes as no surprise that Avas is non-accredited by the local BBB, with a grade of F, and has hundreds of complaints on file with both the BBB and Consumer Affairs.

I had selected a very particular bouquet for my mother for a special occasion. The bouquet came and it was completely wrong. The colors were insipid (as the recipient described them). When I received a picture of them, I was beyond disappointed that not only the colors were terribly off but the entire arrangement didn't even resemble what I ordered. It was heartbreaking for the amount of money that was spent. I was informed that after all of this, the flowers were not even fresh. They ended up in the garbage days later.
I called wanting a refund for this large error and was offered a 10% discount after sitting on the phone for 30 mins. The man I spoke to told me he was doing me a kind favor, above and beyond to give me 10%. At this point, I said, "Fine." I got a confirmation email that $3.99 was going to refunded to my card within 10 days. WHAT A JOKE!!! I filed another complaint and got a generic template email telling me how much my business and satisfaction means to them. I submitted a picture and 2 follow up emails to "management." Nothing. I called Avas Flowers and ordered a birthday floral arrangement for my sister on June 17th. Thank God I asked my sister to send me a photo of the arrangement. To my utter disgust and embarrassment, the bouquet was a kitschy supermarket arrangement with a rainbow assortment of carnations and baby's breath in a standard vases. NOTHING like yellow roses and orange lilies in the modern, square vase that they deceptively advertised. I was appalled at best!! I immediately called Avas Flowers customer service with the photo of my sister's bouquet in tow. I had to call three consecutive times before I could speak to a supervisor. The first two calls, I told the customer service rep that I needed to speak with a supervisor to lodge a complaint.
Response: I was put on indefinite hold and then hung up on both times. The third time I called, I wizened up to their MO and told the rep that I was calling to talk to a manager about the great service and, voila, a manager hopped right on the call. When I demanded Avas Flowers grant me a full refund and pick up the busted bouquet from my sister's home, I was guaranteed both although Avas did not deliver on either promise. My sister called twice to arrange for pick up with their local office as we were instructed to do but no one ever picked up the phone or had the decency to return her call. When I, in turn, called back the toll-free number to report this, Avas Flowers told me that someone had shown up at my sister's home but no one was home.
Avas, however, could not specify the day or time that was. When I pressed them for the details they didn't budge. Instead, they conveniently claimed that they would only refund me $35 of my $60 order because no one was home when they stopped. I took it on the chin and just to myself that I learned a valuable lesson with a $60 price tag. IF YOU'RE READING THIS COMPLAINT, I BESEECH YOU SAVE YOURSELF THE EMBARRASSMENT OF ORDERING AN ARRANGEMENT FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!! Go with a reputable florist. Also, whenever possible, ask the arrangement recipient to send you a photo of the bouquet to make sure you're not being duped.

I ordered flowers from Avas. Selected a beautiful arrangement with all bright colors, gerbera daisies and other bright flowers, with no pastels and no lilies. They were to be delivered the same day on Friday, 7/1 before 5 pm. After 5pm I received a call from Avas stating that the florist did not have the flowers needed to make the arrangement and that I was being "upgraded" to florist's choice and that the flowers would not be delivered until Saturday, 7/2. I was not given an option, just told that was what was happening and offered a 20% off future order. This was not really acceptable to me, but I was not given any choice by Avas. I was clear I wanted no lilies as the flowers are strong smelling and the delivery was to a small hospital room.
When the flowers arrived the next afternoon it was a pretty arrangement, but not anything like my original order and contained lilies and roses - both strong smelling. It was also not near the size it should have been and I was very disappointed. The person I was sending them to was leaving the hospital right after they arrived, so they totally missed the mark.
They failed to deliver what was ordered, failed to provide the same-day delivery that was "guaranteed", and failed to honor my request that what was sent not contain lilies. When I complained I was given the runaround, told that the flowers that were sent met "their" quality standards, and told that I agreed to the changes (which was not true - I was not given any choice, just was informed of what was happening). I will never buy through Avas again. I have learned my lesson. If I want flowers, I'll call the local florist or go into the store directly and skip the online frauds that really don't care whether you're satisfied or get what you paid for when it was guaranteed or not.

On THURSDAY, I called to confirm credit back to my account. I was on the phone with a supervisor for 45 minutes. She told me that unfortunately I will not be able to get full credit because "their" merchant was requiring a partial fee!! How's that my business? I'm a customer! It's not my problem what their arrangement is with whoever their merchant is!! Making this unpleasant event to say the least, I only received partial credit, because she couldn't do anything more. "Avas Flowers" were so unprofessional, they have no idea how to treat a customer. What an unpleasant experience.

I ordered an arrangement to be delivered out of state to a close friend in honor of her birthday. The specific arrangement I ordered was not in the same container per the order information, but it was a beautiful arrangement nonetheless. The customer service representative apologized and gave me credit toward another order. I appreciate the genuine concern from the representative and the credit extended to me. It does not make up for the error from the florist, but it certainly does help, and I continue to patronize Avas Flowers.

Ordering for my daughter on her new arrival of our granddaughter which we could not attend for the birth, called placed order with Ava's Flowers. My online order went well with a very nice deluxe order of a bouquet of all pastel pink flower arrangement with hints of pastel lavender and green, a very beautiful arrangement display online. I knew it was the one at first sight. Order went well, tracking/deliver was on time. My daughter sent me a photo of my new grand baby with the arrangement and my eyes went straight to the disappointment of the arrangement that she was thanking me for.
It was not what I seen online, it was not of a deluxe size, colors were way off and I called to complain and was given a very rude run around to why this was what they sent with excuse after excuse to why it was correct. Even after I sent an email of the photo of how incorrect my order was they refused to see it was not the way they displayed the arrangement to be online. I paid a huge price for this happy moment to wish my daughter congratulations and I will never use Ava's Flowers again. They made this moment a very unhappy experience for the birth of our granddaughter to receive a beautiful arrangement on such a very special day and ended up with a VERY DISAPPOINTING ARRANGEMENT!!!

I purchased a flower arrangement through Avas flowers based on the picture shown on the website. It was a birthday gift for my mom who likes a certain type of look to her arrangements. Therefore in my online selection it took into account all of her preferences. The day of delivery I received a phone call from Avas Flowers telling me that the designer did not have a couple of the flowers in the arrangement available but would replace them with something equal in caliber or value in conjunction with the style of the arrangement.
Furthermore, they would not be able to deliver the flowers within the noted time frame requested. I noted I probably should cancel the order because they could not deliver on what I ordered. The Avas employee stated he would make sure that the arrangement looked similar to the website offering (ensuring there would be no fillers as I explicitly stated do not include) and if I wasn't satisfied I should call back and they would refund me my money.
The arrangement came and was nothing like the arrangement selected online in style or value. Quite frankly, it was subpar at best so I called Avas and filed a complaint where they requested a picture. The picture was sent four times in total over the span of 4 days where I had to continually call back with no followed up response from Customer Service. Each time I called in I had to explain the situation twice one with the Customer Service rep who continuously told me I selected designers choice which I most certainly did not approve or sign-off on and then with a manager that felt it was more important to follow-up with the designer before ensuring the CUSTOMER who paid for the arrangement was satisfied.
As the consumer I have never felt so disrespected by an entire Customer Service team along with management who at no point in the process even apologized for the lack of professionalism or product quality instead made the CUSTOMER feel as if it was my fault for their below average service. Furthermore, insulted my intelligence by repeatedly telling me I chose a product (designer's choice) which never happened and that carnations, filler, miniature roses (what they call spray roses which are not) and daisies equivocated to lilies and regular sized roses that should have been in the arrangement.

Not only were my flowers not delivered on the requested date, I was told they were sorry and the arrangement will be delivered the next day. After following up again b/c the flowers had not been delivered again, I was told the earliest delivery available will be 4 days after my requested date!! This is unacceptable. (My mother has not received the flowers yet!)
I have had to call multiple times to their customer service to follow up on this order. I was told multiple times that this order had been taken care of & will be delivered. (Still no flowers.) I was also promised a follow-up call about this entire disaster, I have yet to receive a call (2 days later). I also called customer service multiple times & verified my email address every time as well as providing an additional address because I was not receiving my order confirmation or invoice. (I was told to check my spam folder which was empty.) I finally received my original invoice 5 days after I placed the order!!
This is unacceptable and unprofessional. I requested at least a partial refund for this order due to all of the trouble I have gone through & continue to have w/ this order. (Still no flowers.) I received $9.99 refund??? I think $9.99 is insulting for an arrangement that has yet to arrive. I was originally offered $15 store credit. I am not interested in a store credit. Bait and switch! I sent flowers which I ordered online to a friend who wasn't feeling well. I loved the "image of the flowers" on the Ava's website bright fresh flowers beautifully arranged. I attached a photo. However as you can see by the second photo I attached, what I paid for looked nothing like the picture. And to add insult to injury the customer service team was AWFUL. They insisted the arrangement was as they expected for the "value", refused to credit me anything saying that the right type of flowers were used, the right number of flowers were used as they said "according to the recipe", the right colors were used, and even had the nerve to say I got "extra flowers".
A customer service agent said they could give me a $20 in store credit to which I asked for a credit to my card. I would have been happy with that. Of course they flat out refused saying there was nothing wrong with the arrangement even after I pointed out the PINK flowers all had BROWN EDGES - they were bruised and dying!!! Zoom on my photo. See for yourself.
But wait there's more - after I expressed my dissatisfaction with a store credit I would not use, I spoke to a manager and was confident they would DO THE RIGHT THING. Not even close, the manager attempted to revoke the credit his agent offered me saying "my agent shouldn't have said that." After approximately 1 hour on the phone YES 1 HOUR the manager gave back the $20 store credit after putting me on hold for 15 minutes to talk to the agents and verify someone had really offered that and I wasn't just making it up. I am so disgusted with this company's disregard and lack of commitment to doing what's right for the customer. Don't shop here. They will not take care of you as a customer, however, they will take advantage of you to save $20 bucks.

I called to give them a chance to correct their mistake by refunding me for a 12 day delay on my purchase that I ordered for a grieving family. They told me they could still deliver the gift basket (2 weeks late) with no EXTRA charges. No extra charges... That's adorable. Great phrasing for "No ma'am, we don't actually mean satisfaction guarantee (like our website states)... It's just like a gas station posting a sign saying that they have the best coffee in town. Everyone knows it's only true because it's the only place that sells coffee in your tiny little town." The reason I'm making a horrible analogy is because I'm trying to reflect the kind of service given to me by Ava's Flowers. Horrible.
To me satisfaction guarantee means you still send my gift basket even though it's 2 weeks late, you write an apology on the basket that you made a mistake because I'm embarrassed, the family didn't receive it, and you refund me because you want me to do business with you again in the future. I got an email saying the order would be delivered as soon as possible. Who would think this means a week later and nothing.
I called to check the status and the recording said no info available for my order. I got an email asking about my satisfaction with their service. Clearly they are not organized and did not realize they were sending to a person who they had screwed over and didn't even fulfill the order yet. Someone called today (June 20) and left me a VM with a call back number to speak with them. I called the number which said it was Avas, but did not give the option to do anything except listen to "special offers" from their partners like T Mobile and Time Warner.
So I called back the number in my caller ID and reached customer service. Spent 10 minutes on hold. Explained what happened and said I want the flowers delivered today or I want a refund. She said she couldn't get them there today but would try. I said, "Fine, can you get them delivered tomorrow?" She said, "we can try." They don't have florists available in the area (Cottonwood AZ, population 11k). So what were they intending to do? Just keep my order and $70 on file forever? She said she would get me a confirmation order when insisted on a refund and would be right back.
After a few min they hung up on me while I was on hold. I got an email about 10 seconds later saying my money would be refunded in the next 10 days. Do yourself a favor. Was told that this shop delivers to the specific hospital (St Lukes in Chesterfield) and that the flowers requested were available and would be made into a nice arrangement. I received email notice that the flowers had been delivered. My friend was very sick and did not mention the flowers.
Later, after my friend recovered, she explained that bulbs arrived in a flower container. The bulbs dried up and died, despite appropriate care. They never bloomed. They were ugly! She took it in stride, knowing I had no control. I was deeply disappointed. Called the Avas shop I ordered the flowers from. Explained the situation, was abruptly told I would need to speak to a manager, was put on hold. After several minutes an automated message came on saying that no one was available to take my call, and I would receive a call the next day. I never received the call. When I attempted to call again was immediately routed to an auto answering machine. After several attempts of not being able to speak directly to someone, I stopped calling out of sheer frustration. My 5 yo niece has her 1st dance recital today. She lives in a small town. Yesterday I Googled "Felton, CA florist" and Avas Flowers came up. I ordered my niece a bouquet since I could not be there in person. The order process was great. I got same day delivery, even a discount. Avas promised delivery by 4pm so I texted my brother (niece's dad) to give him a heads up on the delivery. 4pm rolls around, no delivery. At 8pm my brother tells me there was no delivery.
First thing this morning I check my email and saw a message from Avas requesting me to contact them. I called and was told they've been "trying to contact me" (there were no texts or missed calls, just a single email sent shortly after my initial order). I was told the designer in my niece's area no longer works with Avas but they were able to locate another florist to complete my order but wanted another $10. I told the rep that I was under the impression Avas was in my niece's area since that was what I had originally Googled. He danced around the issue and repeated the same line about another florist for $10 more. I told him to cancel the order. He confirmed the order was cancelled and I would not be charged. There is a charge on my account dated today for $50! (Luckily I work at the credit union I bank with so I'll be all over a dispute and complaint with VISA!)
I've spent years in customer service with reputable companies... the right thing for Avas to have done would be to realize they promised something they couldn't deliver and as a courtesy, eat the $10 and ship the flowers as ordered, as quoted, and on time. I wish I had found these reviews prior to my order. The deception of appearing to be local to the flower recipient and the "no longer work with that designer but here's another for more $$" shtick seems to be a common occurrence with Avas.

Business advertises it is a family owned, local business, which in fact it is not. After placing an order which included "free" delivery, I received a call stating they could not find a flower shop to deliver to the area I had selected without an additional $20 fee, which is the cheapest they could find of three local shops. After calling the only three truly local flower shops, I found the highest delivery charge was $14. So not only is this company not local, but they were attempting to upcharge for a service offered as "free". I cancelled my order with Avas and ordered through a local florist at a cheaper price for a larger arrangement. The problems continued when attempting to obtain a receipt for the cancelled order with Avas. I was told they could not provide me a receipt of the credit to my credit card, which I know is false.
When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was told by the customer service agent that there was no need because they would tell me the same thing, then placed on hold for 28 minutes before I hung up. After three more attempts, and being hung up on by one agent, I was finally transferred to someone who claimed to be a supervisor although I am not confident that he was. He did explain that they often call customers for additional funds because they advertise a product at a certain price, but if the local florists cannot make the arrangement at that price, they will need more money so in fact this was not a delivery problem at all. Horrible business practice!!! I've yet to receive a copy of my credit receipt so my battle is not yet over. When I asked why they advertise to be a "local" florist, he claimed it is because they are affiliated with florists in the area... Meaning they can call and order from them, as can anyone. I was looking forward to calling on the shop in person the next time I visited to congratulate them on their service.
Looking back, I'm really impressed with Avas Flowers. I had no idea that it was possible to spoof your location on the search engines. Now, I know that not only is Avas great at fast delivery, they are really smart to make their website look like a local site when they are really in New Jersey! My only disappointment is that there is no super creative floral design artist in the flower market for me to call upon next time I visit, or to give my future business to. Well, don't let me mislead you, there is a person in the San Francisco Flower Market who is very talented, I just don't know who they are because Avas website high jacked my search. One more great point about Avas Flowers, they sent me an email today saying that they would give me a non-expirable coupon for 10% off if I would just log on and give them a positive review.
The email said, as shocking as this sounds, that they had been receiving negative reviews about the fact that they are secretly located in New Jersey and not San Francisco, or Dallas, or wherever their website reports them to be. The nerve of some people just amazes me. There is nothing wrong with website spoofing. Avas is still going to give the order to a local florist, they are just going to take their cut first, and rightly so, I might add. A dynamic website that can spoof the location the searcher is from is darn difficult to produce and most florist aren't technical people so they can't be expected to be experts in local search and create beautiful arrangements at the same time can they? I cannot say it enough, that my daughter got her table arrangement, it was fresh, it was delivered on time and I'm going to get a 10% off coupon that never expires. I couldn't be happier to give Avas a perfect review.

Their flowers only made us sadder. I was very specific in my request when I ordered the flowers for my son in law's funeral. I paid extra for tropicals that were to be added, and received none. I was specific about colors and types of flowers and was assured they would meet that request. It contained NOTHING that I asked for and worse, some were even wilted. Numerous attempts to resolve by email and phone were unsuccessful. Very overpriced as well especially considering what we received. I wanted to just hide them.

I have purchased flowers from them in the past and they are a solid D+ and the customer service definitely lacks. The reason I have used them is because my Grandmother lives on an island and as you could probably guess, not a lot of places deliver flowers to an island. Avas Flowers do, I'll give them that, but that's it. I received an email from them this morning saying that if I wrote a good review on here they would give me 10% off my next order, SERIOUSLY? DO NOT believe all these positive reviews, this is a subpar company with subpar results. I used them because I was in a bind. Look at their BBB rating (F) or the consumer rip off reports if you would really like to know about this company. SHAME on the people who want to save a few bucks by lying to other people by writing these positive reviews.

The arrangement was smaller than what I paid for and the flowers were of a lesser quality than the pictures. It was mostly daisies. I called customer service to complain after I saw the flowers and I was assured that I would hear back from customer service shortly. Regardless to say, I never did. My daughter sent me a thank you text with a picture of what was in the basket and it didn't look anything like the basket you picture on your website. The following is what I read. FROM WEBSITE: Fruit and Gourmet Baskets. The size and amount of food items will increase in proportion to the size selected. In addition, Deluxe and Premium size may include a wider variety of fruits and/or gourmet items.
Since it didn't look like what I ordered I did ask my daughter to let me know exactly what was in the basket and the following is her breakdown. As you can see in the second paragraph that there are way too many nopes to suit me. This is the second time I have ordered from you and the receiver did not get what your website says. I understand that things can vary but the business you used here in Lexington was lacking in what they put in. Also, I had a credit that I used and there was some sort of processing fee for over $13 which made the total almost $100 w/o my credit of around $25. The basket my daughter received was no way worth $100 and I am very disappointed AGAIN! I would like to know the florist you used in Lexington and I hope you would let them know that I am not satisfied with what they delivered.
My daughter's email: In the basket pictured, I see fruits (plums, kiwi, apples, possibly oranges, and the "whole pineapple"!). We received two types of apples (3 each), 3 oranges, green grapes, strawberries, bananas, pears, and the "whole pineapple"! In the picture, I see cheese (yes, we received), two types of crackers (one box), cookies (yes), Pringles can (nope), cooked ham in bag (nope), smoked oysters (nope), tea bags (nope), planters cocktail nuts (nope), chocolate bar possibly (nope), at least 3 jars, one of which looks like pickles (nope, no jars). When I call customer service to complain, the customer service agent was sympathetic but she had to talk to the manager. She came back and said that the manager felt I got my $100s worth. What a joke!

I called Avas Flowers to place a order for a family member's funeral in Oklahoma. The website told me that there was a special 40% off and no delivery fee. I ended up calling a Mario before lunch, and ordered a "garden" plant. He said he would have it delivered before the visitation that evening. When I went to pay it was suppose to be 49.00. It ended up being 80+. I got him to reduce the delivery charges (that was stated to be free) and placed order.
At 3:30 I received a call from a number that came up as Rotor Rooter Plumbing (Luis, that sounded just like Mario) saying that they wouldn't be able to deliver to the funeral home until late Friday or Sunday. Funeral was @ 10:00 Friday. He wanted a alternate address to send it Friday. I gave him another address and he said it would definitely get there. I just had another call (Annie) this morning (Friday @ 9:45) saying that there was no way that it would be delivered. I requested my CC to be refunded. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have ever had with ordering from a florist. Save yourself time and money, DO NOT USE THEM!!!

Flowers were supposed to be delivered for a dear woman's 94th birthday in a nursing home. Avas knew exactly what this was for, the message said "94 years of love!" We were traveling and actually got an email from Avas the day after scheduled "delivery" asking me to rate their service! Ha, what a joke! Flower delivery was scheduled for Monday, May 23. On Thursday, May 26, at 6 pm, I received a call telling me there had been "a system problem", so the towers weren't delivered. "Are you kidding me? Why didn't you call me the day of delivery or at least the next day?" Them: " Would you like them delivered tomorrow?" ME: "For free?" THEM: "No, for the same price." WHO ARE THESE LOSERS? What a scam... Do not EVER use these jerks!

Ava's flowers sucks. They are not local, to Stafford, TX, as they claim. Probably not family owned either. Arrangement was not delivered on time, and it was the wrong color of flowers that I had specified. After hours of ** from their customer service dept. they finally issued a refund. They also picked up the crappy arrangement, which I've never experienced. Most reputable companies, offer a refund and you keep the ** flowers. I would NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. Would give zero stars if I could. They suck!!!

Don't bother doing business with Avas Flowers. I placed an order for delivery. The flowers were not delivered. I called Customer Service to find out the delivery status. I was told the order would not be filled until the following day they were scheduled. They contacted the florist who said they were too busy to fill the order on time. I was not notified that delivery would be late. These were for my mother-in-law's birthday. So flowers the following day were not acceptable. I have asked to cancel the order. I will see if I receive my refund in a timely manner as my credit card has already been charged. I wish I had checked for company reviews before placing the order. Don't waste your time. Highly dissatisfied with my experience. Too bad there isn't anything less than 1 star rating.
