I have been a very happy Amazon customer for many years but especially since 2005, when I moved to a small Southern town where I cannot find the products I had available to me in the large metropolitan area I lived in. I use a lot of imported products and Amazon provided them for me. They were not cheap but the Euro exchange was high and I paid what they asked and enjoyed my purchases a couple days later via free shipping delivered to my door.

When the Euro exchange rate fell nearly 30 percent the price of my coffee and my laundry products went up. I felt increasing pressure to buy PRIME but I have no use for streaming content and standard shipping was free on orders over 35 Dollars anyway and arrived in two or three days. That changed quickly, I got the feeling when I selected standard shipping my order was dispatched to a part of Amazon's warehouse that did not yet have electricity. Even letter size 100 page pocketbooks take three weeks to reach me. Often tracking is not available, which leaves me fighting with sellers who have been instructed by Amazon to use strange new delivery systems, so they claim.

If I complain, they take returns and refund my money but who needs that, why not do it right to start with. I also don't understand how an American made feminine paper product can increase in price from 35 to 57 Dollars in two months. There you are: price increases, shipping delays, pressure to subscribe to PRIME and/or use expedited shipping are what is bothering me and making me consider other sources to cover my needs and desires. Too bad, we had a good thing going.

I bought Microsoft Office software on Amazon.com. The software was illegal. Not only can't I return it (out $300) but I can't even leave a negative review. Furthermore, I received a product that was not as pictured. Not only won't I purchase on Amazon, but worse for them, I will tell every consumer and business I run across (many) that Amazon is the worst place to make a purchase as you can lose your money with no recourse.

And, who can pass up two day free shipping for just ninety nine dollars a year on Prime eligible items (many items qualify). As an avid reader of this site, I have seen the numerous online horror stories from big-box and specialty retailers. Wake up and only order from Amazon with the amazing benefits of Prime!

I had ordered a White Board from Amazon from the seller HAKIM on 4th of Feb. It hasn't been delivered as yet and all I got was a call from Speed Post (the courier service) saying that they cannot deliver the product as it would not fit in a cycle. Fit in a cycle? I paid Rs. 214 just for shipping charges and they give me this reason. I contacted the seller on email as well but he tells me lies that the courier service came to my house. They have a very negative rating (check the screenshot) The COURIER SERVICE NEVER CAME AND DID NOT DELIVER. I am forced to make this complaint and hope Amazon takes some action.

While I was on the phone with Michelle (rep for Amazon), she was handed a script to read to me to shuffle the call to legal dept. I then asked for a supervisor and SW chip (lead for her dept) has took over this matter and said he will issue a refund for the org. purchase and comp the new unit. We shall see?

Item delivery a sham!! An LG Electronics 60UF8500 60-Inch 4K Ultra HD 3D Smart LED TV (2015 Model) was one of many items I ordered including surround amp, speakers, TV stand, etc. I originally ordered an open box, 'LIKE NEW' TV thru Amazon Warehouse. The TV was scheduled and delivered in time for the Superbowl. It was delivered with enhanced delivery (they take the TV in and set it up to make sure it is working correctly) but the TV was unusable and the stand was missing from the box anyway (so much for 'like new' condition with actual parts missing). The screen looked like it had been stepped on with a heavy load. The screen actually had 2 footprint cracks in the screen and was full of artifacts. The delivery was refused and the delivery company recorded the issues and provided photos to the shipper (Amazon).

I called and contacted Amazon Customer Service and the representative seemed very helpful. She understood my frustration with not having a working TV for Superbowl and the frustration over not having the stand in the box as well. As a solution she offered to sell a new set at a somewhat discounted price and I arranged for delivery for 2/10/16 (a week after the damaged TV was delivered and returned). When it passed the delivery time, Amazon still showed the item as 'Order Received' but not shipped. My account has not been charged for the TV and no schedule for delivery is to be found anywhere.

I called Customer Support yet again. This representative could not tell me why it had not shipped and confirmed that the item was still sitting 'In Stock'. After further investigation she said that the previous representative was not authorized to give me the discount she did (even though it appears on my order screen with the discounted price) but that she was bound to honor the price given me. She could not tell my why it didn't ship and all she could do was enter a 'Shipping Ticket' to see what the hold up was and that would take 3-5 additional days before she could even give me an answer as to when it would ship and then she could try to give me a delivery schedule. That could take an additional 1-2 wks. depending on where it actually shipped from (the representative couldn't even tell me where the TV was located).

So, at this point if all went well (not very positive it would) I might get the TV delivered well over a month after the original order of the TV that was damaged. What a runaround. I wonder if it's intentional so I'd cancel rather than them having to live up to the representatives promises of a reduced price. I've cancelled the order and will go elsewhere (like Costco, BestBuy, etc.) for this and future orders/purchases. They've managed to lose a LONG TIME Amazon customer!!

I have been selling a few books and CDs on Amazon to raise money for dog rescue. I've never had a problem with Amazon paying me before. But yesterday, they said they could not pay me because they my credit card was invalid and they needed to verify my bank account through my credit card. I really don't understand why when they have been paying money into my bank account for over two years. However, my card is not invalid. I spoke to someone at Amazon and have had a long email exchange with various drones. All they do is send me format emails telling me what their rules are and to contact my bank. This doesn't help at all. Useless customer service, and they are not handing over money that is mine! I wonder how many people they have done this to who have given up eventually!

So I was a happy bride to be when I started using Amazon regularly. I had bought a few Christmas gifts then went right into the wedding, spending $1,000 in 2014 and nearly $3,000 on the site in 2015 total for just the wedding. I had also taken out an Amazon CC for any other wedding purchases above that amount. It had a $500 cc limit. Amazon got a large part of our wedding business thus far and things had been going well. Why not right? I am a normal working adult. They charged my cc and my debit card and gave me the runaround with Chase Bank for so long it was all covered up. The first day they admitted to something having gone on on my account, then never did again. They refused to help solve the problem and along with JP MORGAN CHASE FINANCIAL INSTITUTION I lost my great credit score for trying to fight them for a sizable amount of wrongful charges. I may work but I am working class.

On top of that they never did give me the supposed 2 day shipping. On my last order the system glitched as I have been using the same addy for 7 months now as well as requested multiple times for the old address to be removed. They sent my package to the old address. When discussing this with a rep 2 days before the arrival time he told me that he had fixed the issue and it would be delivered to my house, expedited and would be here on the day needed. He lied, he couldn't change the addy - it was USPS, so when I found out today he had lied I went ballistic.

I have had packages stolen, system glitches, my future stolen through my credit over purchases that were purposely changed to debit card then they forced to cc and debit, lied to on multiple occasions and finally told I couldn't have my stuff no matter what they did when I couldn't reorder after a long and unreasonable wait due to their stated Prime Policy. So for all this over the course of just one year what was it worth? $30. That was a gift to keep my Prime Membership. I just stopped arguing as I knew that was about as good as it was gonna get, but I think they know what they can do with my business. Kiss it goodbye boys!

First and foremost I never bother with writing reviews let alone go out of my way to create an account just to write something but this company deserves all the bad credit it can get. I purchased a physical book from third party on Amazon not too long ago. I tried refunding it but the address that was given was wrong. So I contacted Amazon's customer support and they claimed to have fixed it by e-mailing the third party guaranteeing me a response within 2 days. A week goes by and the third party emails me and we don't resolve the address issue.

At this point I figured they might be stalling so I decide to talk with Amazon through chat. While chatting with the outsourced customer service they not only refused to pull up the e-mail log to confirm what I had been going through but they also couldn't understand elementary English. I ended up wasting 5 hours in total asking for transfers to people who actually understood English. And even then those people that I was escalated to (their leadership team) had a terrible grasp of the English language. At the end I was transferred to their supervisor who just told me to go and call the third party and resolve it with them. I have never in my life been so angry. This company is total trash.

I called Customer Service and spoke to a wonderful girl named Melanie. She helped me through the step by step process, keeping me calm the whole time. She ended up being able to refund my money and even told me about discounts I can get with Amazon once I'm in college. I could not be more thankful that she took the time to help me. Be very careful ordering this product from Amazon. The disc arrived in a broken case with the 2nd disc being defective due to flaws in the disc. I have been a customer of Amazon for 15 years and they treat their customers like crap. I'm a long distance truck driver and I have to send my mail to a secure address while on the road. For 10 years that was not a problem, but now Amazon has decided that if my orders go to a mail receiver where it is signed for and secure, I don't have any rights as a customer. This is not right. I can't leave mail pilling up at my condo door while I'm on the road, because it would be stolen. My truck is my home and there's no one else to receive it while I'm on the road. Where does Amazon have the right to say how I should receive my mail? What has happened to customer service. Companies want to dictate how I'm suppose to live and then they wonder why customers aren't buying as much.

When I first ordered the disc, I received it as a Prime member in 3 days. They offered a replacement, but even though I'm a prime member, I won't get it for 2 weeks, which means it's not in time for my friend's birthday. Their response was "we can't help you". Amazon's service has really tanked and they don't care about customers. They make stupid rules that don't work in the real world. Who do they think they are, telling me where I have to have my mail sent? Are they going to send it to my truck via drone. I advise never buying from Amazon if possible and their Prime membership is one giant rip-off.

THE ITEM NEVER DELIVERED AND NOWHERE TO BE FOUND BY MYSELF OR ANY OF MY BUILDING RESIDENTS. I asked for proof of delivery and it was never given to me by amazon or the seller BUT THEY TOLD ME THE ITEM WAS SIGNED FOR? I strongly recommend you do not purchase from this seller or use FedEx as a shipper. Very disappointed that neither the seller, amazon or the shipping company will step up and fix this situation. It's not necessarily the mistakes made that reflects a company's reputation but more so how they handle the mistakes and if they attempt to fix them. Buyers please be careful.

Sigh... I heard that you could sell things on Amazon. I have a lot of gently used books that I wanted to sell. I read over their fees and do a little research on how it works so I decided to go ahead and give it a try. I start creating a seller account and as soon as I put in my credit card information "BAM" I get a message saying that my account had been suspended. What?! Okay so I call/email trying to get someone to help me figure this out. I finally get an email from the seller-performance group saying that I was permanently banned from selling on Amazon and please do not respond to this email. That was it. No investigation, not even a return call. I decided this was a company that I didn't want to do business with. If someone had used my email address or my name in any kind of fraudulent activities I feel like they could at the least let me know what happened. I had to close my cc account/change debit card the whole nine.

So I contacted the customer service and explained the situation and the importance of the item. I was told to wait until Monday so I did. No item waited until the previous week nothing. So I called customer service and the support specialist told me there is nothing more they do for me.

So I requested a refund. They told me when I sent the item back they would. I told them I never received only three items out of five. The lady said, "I am sorry." but when I send the items back that's when they can issue a refund. Omg I'm irate now. A couple weeks go by and since I live in Michigan we have had lots of snow so I notice a box sitting inside a bush covered with snow. There are my two missing items. Mind you that the box was busted apart and the items inside were ruined from the weather so I toss them.

And immediately contacted the customer service and told them about it. I also sent pictures of the box and the items I figured they would issue a refund. NOPE because a UPS DRIVER I'm assuming threw the boxes on my porch and took off one made it and the other not so much. Now I'm out of $245.75 nice doing business with you. This company made me feel like I can't trust that items will make it to my home even if I paid $18 for faster service. Even if I sent the items back to you I still would not get my money back. I hope the CEO of Amazon reads this because where is their guarantee for the shipping?

I cancelled the original order and placed a new service order 3 days later. Then I got a call from a service provider inquiring about the cancelled order the next day. Because of the order was cancelled, they could not performed the work. Amazon routed the new order to a handyman service in Arizona state by mistake. Of course they can't install the toilet in Los Angeles! Amazon realized the mistake and rerouted the order to Sonny's Handyman service.

Amazon also promised to give me a gift card in the amount of $52 dollars to cover the difference of the fee. The contingency of the gift card is upon completion of the service. The service agent from Amazon connected me with the Sonny's Handyman service and made an appointment for the installation. The service agent promised that nothing was going to happen this time. Then the next day, which was 2 days before the installation, the service order was cancelled by Sonny's Handyman service due to "unable to meet the appointment". I called Amazon, the representative was not able to do anything about this cancelled order and sent an email to the service department to inquire about this matter.

It has been 5 days and no one from Amazon has returned my call. Sonny's Handyman responded my email stating that they got hung up by someone and they could not get a hold of me for 3 days. My emails proved that I've sent them the photos to the correct email address.

I asked them what if I'm old and technical decline and don't know how to take pictures attach to an email to send to them, what are they going to do? So, do I just keep the damaged product? I guess Amazon is making people who do not know how to send pictures keep the expensive damaged products. It's been 4 weeks. I've sent them photos of the damaged couch over and over and no response from Amazon customer service. CSR is good at asking/demanding photos but NOT good at responding to my replacement request at all. Today, I still have not received my replacement couch yet. Buyers beware!!! Easy to go online and buy products from Amazon. It's all good as long as your products are not damaged. And finally, their pricing stopped being competitive. One small example: the identical size and brand salt I use is under $5.00 at Whole Foods. The cheapest I can now find it on Amazon is around $7.00. Buying the salt in bulk on Amazon still doesn't keep it competitive with bulk pricing in my local area. While delivery to my door is easy and convenient, spending more money on items I used to purchase on Amazon is not. And since I prefer Netflix to Prime entertainment, I have little reason to renew my Prime membership next month. Instead, I will pay for shipping if I want to shop there.

If you check net-wide, you will often find Amazon can be even cheaper than Walmart online, especially for staple products. Returns were easy if you can manipulate your own account as set up. The one "con" I have to the "pro" comments is this: they change the prices multiple times per day. Example: when I was going to buy a second Rubbermaid, 40 slot storage unit for the garage, I initially paid around $37. After that, they persisted in almost $46, even within just a few days. It's like a roulette game. However: they ship well and fast - fast beyond comprehension, actually.

I use them frequently and go to the site almost daily checking a variety of products. More often than not I buy from Amazon over any other online retailer. I especially appreciate the lengthy reviews, and that it doesn't seem like Amazon censors comments too much, so one can rely on their veracity. I like that merchants can comment as well to consumers. Also, their descriptions are pretty good. The only observation I would have is that they require those selling supplements to provide pictures of the FULL label so that I can read it is its entirety. I have purchased product, only to find that it has ingredients that I can't take. So that would be my one request.

I am a Prime member, and while I have the perk of 2-day shipping, items that I order rarely are delivered 2 days from the time the order was placed. In the beginning items always arrived in 2 days, but as Amazon grew in popularity, that 2-day delivery rarely happens. While most of my purchases are great deals in terms of price and quality, there are some items that are over-priced and there are some items where quality is questionable. Read reviews and shop around.

As an aggregator and sourcing agent for online services, Amazon provides exemplary service. The only difficulty with their site, from my point of view, is the difficulty of distinguishing the differences (other than price) between the sellers. Shipping policies (e.g., who can ship overnight, via Prime, and who doesn't) is a challenge to navigate, at least for me. As to Amazon's service, they are first rate. I had difficulties in understanding shipping policies and contacted them on an Sunday afternoon at about 3:00 PM, not expecting anything but an email the next day. I received a personal call about 20 minutes later asking how they could help. Impressive.

And after the holidays it doesn't cost that much and you still can find sites with free delivery. And it is much easier than dealing with the disrespectful people in the big box stores. Sorry but it's the truth. 98% of the time my product that I order is in great shape and if it get broken in shipping Amazon gets you a new one quickly. I am a big fan of Amazon. When we first moved here in 2007, the closest store was about 15 miles away and I quickly realized the value of Amazon Prime, that delivers boxes to your home via UPS (or other sources). I saved a lot of money and time using their service and their shipping is always fast, efficient, and excellent quality to protect the product. Their prices are very competitive with brick and mortar stores and their return policy is very easy and convenient (they send you a return number and you take the device to the closest UPS).

That said I rarely return things, but their process works well. Amazon also keeps track of your purchases so you can quickly check to see what served you well or alternatives if those are no longer available. The whole experience with Amazon has been a pleasure and I turn to them first when making a purchase - to compare prices and read about a product initially (as well as customer comments) but I usually purchase from them as well. My time is valuable and having something delivered to my door is a very positive benefit.

Because of a disability, I'm not able to shop for too long at one time so ordering from Amazon has been an advantage for me. In several years of using Amazon, there have been only a few minor mishaps, which were caused by UPS (package left at the wrong apartment building once), and were fixed in a short amount of time. If an item I ordered is no longer available, Amazon informs me by email. I'm able to choose gifts and send them directly to the recipient without shopping on foot and having to make an extra trip to the post office. Most of the time, the shipping is free. If I want something sooner I can ask for an item to be expedited, but the free shipping usually only takes two days. If an item ordered on Amazon is sent by another company, it may take longer. I am informed by email of the status of my order, and I can check on it any time through the Amazon emails. I highly recommend ordering from Amazon especially if time or health is an issue.

Interesting enough the shipping is slower, correspondence is slower with Amazon shipped items rather than the vendors hosting on Amazon shops. So I worry about working conditions of fulfillment shops, underpay and poor treatment of Amazon workers. So I feel guilty when I order from Amazon that I am supporting mega mogul Jeff Bezos... Don't like the guy. When I was doing some Amazon affiliate publishing (using some of their links in one of my blogs) their customer service treatment of their affiliate publishers was HORRIBLE. I absolutely love Amazon because their website is easy to use. They offer free shipping after you spend a certain amount, and I have ALWAYS received my purchases earlier than promised - EXCEPT when it is through another retailer through their site. But that is a chance you take when there is something you really want. I do not like this about Amazon. I am finding that a lot more items are offered from independent vendors, which costs shipping rates that are, in my opinion, pretty steep or more than I want to spend. I have gone to other sources to place orders quite a lot in the past year because of this.

Although their website can take some getting used to in the beginning, I have found that there is a method and it is a good one for the scope of their business. Every time I have called or chatted (which is an option I absolutely love!), they have resolved my problem or issue quickly. Overall, I do like Amazon; I can almost always get what I want if I cannot find something I want to purchase anywhere else.

Often on check out and even though the item claimed, "free shipping" at the checkout a shipping fee applies and it isn't evident where to click to apply the so claimed "free shipping" option. It isn't just me who has observed this - I wonder how they do that? Amazon has this real time algorithm which chooses if it sends US postal service or Sends by FedEx or UPS. They can't tell me which one and they make decisions of what to group and how to ship. So I can't outguess them as to which address to use. If I send physical address to the post office, then they reject it as undeliverable. If I use PO box and they decide to group something heavy and go with FedEx, then they won't deliver. Asked them many times to fix it, but they won't. Hence I can't use or trust amazon as a supplier anymore. They did tell me that if I got 100 others to complain on the same thing they would CONSIDER a change.

This is by far the best way to shop. When I have a need, rather than go shopping and guess if they have it or not, I search for it on Amazon, where I always find what I need and more. There I get many stores selling that product, in the United States as well as outside the country. I can compare prices, including shipping cost, read the product reviews, and learn further about that product without driving to one store at a time, driving, parking, wasting gas, time, and energy. Also I base my selection on the reviews of the company (seller). Once I read the reviews and compare the pros and cons and prices, I may place an order with the company of choice, and my package is on the way.

I am not an online shopping addict, although I love being able to fill any need by searching any products online. Then I get a notice on my cell phone when the product is shipped out, and what day it will be delivered. Amazon is the most ingenious idea someone ever had, has saved me a lot of money, time, gas, and energy, not to mention what I can learn about products by reading the reviews. There is none better.

I've purchase a wide variety of items over the years using Amazon. My experiences have been good until this past Xmas. I ordered a gift on Dec. 12, to be delivered to my granddaughter, who lives in another state. It was an Amazon item, and they did not indicate that it was on backorder. I discovered this on my own when I went to track the package, which was being delivered by USPS. I never received any email or other notice from Amazon that it would not be delivered in time for Xmas. It did not arrive until the end of the first week in January--very disappointing.

I have placed several orders with Amazon throughout the last couple of years and my experience with Amazon has been flawless. I had an issue with one company not sending me exactly what I ordered and email Amazon about it. And the problem, they took care of it and I had my completed order within a week. I am never disappointed with my orders. They are always what is described on their site or better. This year I did all of my Christmas shopping on their site and received everything in time for Christmas. If there is an delay at all with your order they notify you via email and give you an updated delivery date. I was very happy with all of my dealing with Amazon and would definitely recommend them to everyone.

Have never been disappointed with Amazon purchases. They keep you informed of expected delivery dates and so far in at least a dozen orders it was accurate. As a Canadian it's advisable to order through Amazon.ca rather than Amazon.com because with the exchange involved, you could be very disappointed in what you pay compared to what you expected to pay. It's easy to order from the .com side without noticing you've done so, so again exercise caution before you purchase and only browse the .ca address.

My experience with Amazon has been excellent, overall. When there has been a problem, they have resolved it quickly and without hassle. More retailers could learn a lot about selling products by modeling Amazon's example. Grant it, their huge size gives them many advantages, and is a bit concerning regarding their ability to put local retailers out of business. But, we work to support our local businesses - provided they're not being ridiculously stupid in their pricing and business practices - of which we have found a few.

I have NEVER had a problem with the vendors that sell through Amazon or Amazon itself. It took me awhile to purchase the "Prime" membership but I am glad I did as I have bought more and more things from Amazon which pays for the additional membership. What's absolutely great is that most of the things I have ordered that are Prime have always arrived as stated - the next day or the day after. If Amazon sold groceries I would probably order them too! Can't think of one complaint. Very very happy with Amazon and will continue to use. (no - I don't work for Amazon!)

I've never had any problems that required it. I do occasionally order from some of the others on your list, but mostly I stick to Amazon. It is comprehensive and trustworthy. I have read that other retailers accuse Amazon of unfair practices, but I am not another retailer, I am a customer; and from my vantage point there are no problems. They see to my needs; and if they make money off of that, all power to them. I live in a small town and there is very little variety of goods available. I HAVE to shop online if I want anything out of the ordinary, so this is not just laziness on my part. I like the fact that Amazon can usually supply me with what I need. Occasionally I use eBay or Wal-mart or specialty suppliers, but I generally look on Amazon first.

Buying from Amazon is cost-effective and simple. The price is very reasonable. The delivery is acceptable as I live in Southeast Asia. The goods I purchase are books, children toys, stationeries and light electronics. The existence of Amazon really helps me as I could save from 20 to 70 percents compared if I were to purchase the goods from Singapore. The only problem I have with Amazon is not because of the Amazon itself. The Singapore government restricts the purchase of up to Sing dollar 400 for no tax. Above that value, the tax import of 7% will be imposed. This is no good at all. I keep my shopping up to Sing Dollar 400 for each transaction with Amazon. For a foreign country customer like me, sometime it gets a bit difficult to buy some things from Amazon that does not deliver to foreign country. Things like portable scanner, mobile phone, printer, laptop, or gadget, most of them cannot be delivered to a foreign address.

Therefore, I have to set up an account in the US for my delivery address. For this purpose I will be charged logistic from the company I set up the address and storage. The only problem I have with buying books from Amazon is I cannot really look at the content more than few pages (sometime even not able to pre-read few pages at all). So if I really want to buy some high price books (above US 20/30) then I look at the library first or look at review people have (even sometime book review can also be manipulative). So far, my experience shopping with Amazon is reliable and I had no problems at all. Once they sent me wrong books and I did not need to return but they send me again the right ones. They respond quickly and without hassle. I recommend you to be a customer with Amazon. Really, it totally save you a lot of money and less time to go around.

They still have bargains but if you purchase an item or over search the price goes to the nosebleed section. I love the delivery process. Lately though they have been using the postal service and I've caught different drivers delivering my mail and coming back with the package a half of an hour later which makes me extremely uncomfortable. This was Christmas so maybe the mistakes were honest but it does not feel right. As for customer service lately I've had to ask for my refunds and the last time I had to get irate to get it. All of the negatives that I've mentioned happened in November and December except the schizophrenic pricing that's happened the whole of 2015.

I subscribe to Amazon Prime. It is very convenient, but there are several areas that I have issues with: Price- there is no mistaking that the prices with Amazon prime are inflated to cover expedited shipping. 2-day shipping really isn't 2-day. Its "best effort" 2-day. I've waited up to 5 business days for a prime item, and the response from customer service is basically, "These things happen". 1-day shipping is a gamble at best. I ordered something I really needed the next day, and the ordering page said if I order in the next hour I would get it. I ordered the item, and paid an extra $7 for next day shipping.

When it didn't come the next day I contacted customer service. They said that the e-mail I received confirming the order told me that the item wouldn't be coming the next day. They said that this can happen, and I should read the confirming e-mails. I objected, but again they just said "These things happen", and I wasn't given any type of refund (this was my real objection - they should have at least refunded my premium shipping charge.) My error for not reading the confirming e-mail. So, if you understand that you are paying a premium for fast shipping, and that "fast" sometimes can be "almost fast", then Prime is a good deal. Kudos to Amazon, however, for making the ordering process as painless as possible.

Amazon is quite simple to use. When my merchandise has been faulty, there is a number to call and speak to a live person or an online email or place to put that the merchandise needs to be returned and the reasons. I was given so many days to return the device and a choice to have UPS come and pick it up. I received my new item before I sent back my old item. I was emailed a label for attaching or the UPS person already had one. I paid nothing for the replacement. The replacement came within 3-5 days. I also one time never received my second hand item from an independent seller on Amazon and was refunded.

I have used Amazon for years and have never been let down. Not that a purchase or two has not turned to be a bad product, but, the online purchase process has been good. My tip is to look at the reviews before buying, and ask questions, and if there is not enough detail on the item, do not buy it from that seller. Also, prime or not, look at where the product is shipping from. Nothing from China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, etc will arrive in two days, maybe not even in five. Schedule accordingly.

I am able to order from 2 different companies along with any other items I might be purchasing and have them ship at the same time for free. It might take a little longer than normal shipping this way but I have never paid for shipping with Amazon as long as my purchase is $45 I think. I have always added something else to my order so this has never been a problem and I always order well enough in advance that this longer wait time is not an issue for me.

I think my longest wait time for delivery was about 10 days (some holiday and weekend played a part). I tried initially to use Wal-mart for the prescription of the Sterile Solution and they did not carry it. Leave it to Amazon to have almost everything you could need or want. My only complaint is that you really need to compare sizes and cost with your local Wal-mart store because I have found Amazon to be overpriced on things from Lysol & Cottonelle, to name just a few as well having to pay taxes and shipping.

Their customer service, though I've rarely needed to contact them, is extremely nice and helpful. Their shipping is reliable, Prime is a great value if you use it a lot. I have noticed lately that there are more and more low-quality third party sellers on Amazon, and they tend to overwhelm the search results which can be frustrating. I've had several experiences in the past year where my search results have displayed blatantly counterfeit products from third party sellers based overseas, with very misleading descriptive text. I wish Amazon would veto this kind of seller more thoroughly to weed out some of those counterfeit or extremely low quality knock off products. They use huge boxes for small items or just a few items, with terrible packaging & shipping (tossing all the packaging on top of all the jumbled items, not sealing boxes correctly so that they were partially open, packages left upside down, packages left out in the rain so rain seeped in and ruined everything inside, shipping perishable items to Phoenix in the summer with nothing to keep them cool, etc.) At least one item per order has been defective, of poor quality, and/or broken.

When there's a problem, you have to deal in writing online with the actual seller, not amazon, & the last 2 times the sellers were from Asia & their English was unintelligible. Customer service is occasionally great but usually atrocious. Sometimes techs don't even know the products or policies, have thick accents, put you on hold for very long periods, both by phone or chat, & disconnect/end calls & chats when they are confused, even though they haven't helped or answered questions yet. They are NOT always the cheapest, & they don't do price-matching. I've seen even inexpensive items that were several dollars more than on other sites. I could go on & on. I keep ordering from them because I am disabled and can't go out shopping, they carry many products, they have free shipping if you spend a certain amount of money (which also forces you to spend more), & I am stupidly optimistic.

Meanwhile I'm even more irritated that because of all this activity my card company wont authorize $1 that Amazon wants to "put their arms around" for the free 30 Amazon Prime account. So now Amazon Prime says after 3 days of my free trial that I'm being denied my Amazon Prime benefits and that I need to update my payment information. I have always loved Amazon but they should not be allowed to "put their arms around" more money than the bill and shipping thereby screwing up anyone's order. Now I've been on the phone for 2 hours trying to have my Amazon Prime benefits restored so I can "put my arms around it." And if this is somehow the bank's fault that issued the card, I do apologize.

What happened: Every time I order something from Amazon.com it gives me the date that I am supposed to receive my product, and it never arrives on that date. I then get a generic "Sorry your package didn't arrive by the expected date, but hopefully it will in the next five days, if not receive a refund or reorder the product." Amazon does not allow you to contact them, or make a general complaint about anything. Very disappointed. Consequences: There are none. Amazon just doesn't care!

Prime is suppose to be two day shipping, here it is six days later and I receive half of the order. When contacting customer service, they just say sorry. The above item is for a business vehicle and the delay has cost us thousands of dollars and all they say is sorry. They also stopped all tracking info after it had stated that delivery would be Jan 13th 2016. I know that Amazon holds high standards for their sellers, but I guess it's a different set of standards for Amazon themselves. I will update this review once I receive the other two gallons, if I ever do.

But then when he received the phone, he started threatening me by asking me for more discounts, and opened a case with Amazon, and Amazon is forcing me to accept the return even though it's not my fault. I have always placed my orders on Thursday and received my items on Saturday. However since Thanksgiving, I now get my orders I place on Thursday on Monday. Now if I want my order on Saturday they want me to pay an additional $8.99. I contacted prime and talked to a supervisor and he made it seem as the holidays were the issue. So I placed an order on 1/14/16 and again was indicated on my order if I wanted it on Saturday I had to pay an additional $8.99. I did contact my local UPS Distribution Center today 1/16/16 and confirmed they do still and have not changed their delivery to no Saturday deliveries. So I feel this is an Amazon Fraud issue for what they advertise for Prime Membership which states still 2-day shipping and no annotation excluding Saturdays.

I can confirm they do ship and you get your order within 2 days if you order on Wednesday, I got my item on Friday. I did this just to confirm the fraud before I posted this complaint. This is the order number confirming my order I placed on Thursday will not be received until Monday **. The order I placed last Monday 1/11/16 that I did receive within 2 days **.

After contacting customer services I received the company ramble - they obviously hadn't even read my query. They just repeatedly told me to cancel the order as they couldn't source the book, and then to order it again when it came in stock (at twice the pre-order price). I reluctantly cancelled and lo and behold, it instantly became 'in stock!' What a con! Obviously they did not want to deliver the book to all those who had pre-ordered at the discounted price.

My Amazon account was supposed to be temporarily deactivated at that time. Once the "investigation" was completed and spoke to them, next the account was supposed to be reactivated. I did not access it for several months as I was obviously upset and only used the kindle around the holidays and summer anyway. When my daughter went to redeem her gift cards from Christmas on her Kindle, the account was still deactivated. I spent over an hour on the phone with them 12/29. It ended with them stating they would get back with me in 2 to 3 business days. I did not hear from them and contacted them again 12/29. I got the same thing. I would get a phone call or email in 2 to 3 business days.

It is now 1/13/16 and I have again spent over an hour on the phone with customer service and their supervisors and there has still been no resolutions. I have again been told 48 hours and recommended I just start a new account and lose all that she already has online with current deactivated account, and start a new library. She has spent years building her library since the first Kindle Fire came out. They are ridiculous! Should have bought her a Nook!!!

I have been an independent seller since the 1990's with other online company's. The process they have for reviewing you as a seller is pathetic. Amazon is a company that wants full control of everything from the sellers who they ban for the smallest problem, with no reliable review system in place to fight once they put you on a bad sellers list. Furthermore if you buy a product when Amazon is the seller (Amazon actually sells stuff too) and competes with their sellers - you can't leave a bad review when the item is bought from Amazon as they set it up that way. They also ban buyers if they deems you a bad buyer as well. Furthermore I know someone that is a vendor to Amazon the company and they demand the lowest prices to the point where the vendors have trouble making money and some vendors walk away from them.

When you're a seller and you get banned from Amazon if banning you or your company wasn't enough from Amazon they go a step further and ban family members from the same address and people even in the same bldg as you live. When you try to follow up they answer you the first time or two then they just stop replying to any messages. If that wasn't enough then they hold your funds for 6-8 weeks or more to make sure that all the buyers are satisfied. All in all this experience of selling on Amazon was the worst. Then they bought the web address Amazon sucks so people can't leave reviews there. If you're a seller stay away, because when it collapses you're left with inventory and they don't care about you or your company.

I bought a new iPhone 5c from Better Deals Faster on Amazon on December 16, 2014. On my receipt, it confirmed that "New iPhone 5c 16GB (Green). Factory unlocked for use with any GSM carrier. Covered by 1-yr warranty". In Nov. 2015, we started having problems with the phone (could not call or text), we contacted AT&T, our network provider, and they tried to address the problem. However they said they could not fix it because it was not the problem with their service. We called Apple but they said that: "The phone is out of Warranty because it was purchased on June 27, 2014, not December 16, 2014, and the phone was not new, it was a replacement phone." I have to say I was extremely shocked to learn that the phone I bought on Amazon was not new as I was led to believe when I bought it, and it was not under warranty as it was stated in the receipt.

I contacted Amazon on December 15th 2015. Amazon customer service staff said that they would contact the company about the problem and if we don't hear from the Dealer in 48 hrs, we should contact them again (Amazon sent me a copy of their email to the Dealer). I did not hear anything from the dealer so we contacted Amazon again before Christmas. Amazon staff said that they will contact the Dealer again and if the Dealer won't respond, Amazon will reimburse my money.

After Christmas, we contacted Amazon again as we did not hear from the dealer. Amazon said they will investigate the case. On Jan 6, 2016, we contacted Amazon again and they said that we will hear from Amazon about the result in 24 hrs. This morning (Jan 7, 2016, we received an email from Amazon and it stated that "I'm sorry to hear there was a problem with order ** from Better Deals FASTER. Because the order was placed more than 90 days ago on March 16, 2015, you aren't eligible for reimbursement under the terms of our A-to-z Guarantee. I really apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." The answer from Amazon is unacceptable and incorrect. This is an indication that the investigation department never really investigated my case.

Yesterday (Jan 7, 2016), I talked to Ms. Belen **, a supervisor of the CS dept. and again I had to go through the process of explaining my problem. She advised me to file a complaint and I did. She also told me that Amazon investigation dept. will contact me in 24 hrs. I did not hear from them so I called them again on Jan 8, 2016. A staff named Courtney told me that Amazon cannot do anything for me because I bought the phone from the third party. I believe that Amazon is in violation of the law as Amazon has led its customers believe that Amazon is responsible for what is sold on Amazon. Please help customers like me bring Amazon to justice.

I've been shopping with Amazon for several years now, and I mean often daily shopping. I have started purchasing a lot of normal, daily items via Amazon (i.e. lotion, batteries, etc) so I have purchased well over 100 items in 2015. I have a Prime Membership so as long as I purchase from a Primer sellers, then no shipping. I have NOT had a single problem with delivery or delivery time -- for any item shipped in the USA. Overseas, yes, I had a problem -- never received what I purchased once, and another item took a week longer than expected. However, those are problems that is not in Amazon's control, so it is not their fault.

So, when shopping, I have learned to always buy from sellers in the US with a preference to "Fulfilled by Amazon" (meaning it comes from their warehouse rather than from the seller) and also Prime sellers. Only non-Prime if I don't have any other option. I see so many one-star ratings listed and there are many of them that sound like they just don't understand who is responsible for what and have nothing better to do than complain - even if they don't have anything legit to complain about. I love Amazon and will continue to use them on a weekly, sometimes daily, basis.

And misleading "top rated comments". Because of my severe arthritis I was looking for something to carry my groceries. Based on the "outstanding reviews" on the Lumex RJ4700R Set n' Go Height Adjustable Rollator, I ordered it. The first, and only thing, I checked was the size of the pouch, below the seat. This is not a pouch, it's more like a coin purse made of very thin plastic. Also, the carton has a flimsy plastic handle (more like a piece of scotch tape) which broke when I pulled it from the packaging box. I emailed the co. and requested a shipping label & refund for the above reasons. I rec'd a reply which says in part: "Your RA # is being processed by Graham Field which takes anywhere from 2-3 business days, and they do have a 25% restocking fee."

I emailed them back regarding this fee and that I threw the box to the garbage where it belongs. This item is very heavy and I don't see how a senior or someone with severe arthritis, like me, could possibly lift it or put it in a car or push it. It appears that the numerous complaints against Amazon and its outside vendors are accurate. I wrote this review on Amazon's page and they emailed me back stating that they would not publish it because it's "offensive" and that I wasn't clear about the shipping and quality of the product.

They said that as it was a delivery problem rather than product problem (isn't delivery of a gift card a product problem?), I should rate it on www.amazon.com/feedback or www.amazon.com/packaging, neither of which includes gift card orders for review or comment. There was nowhere to report one's negative experience--a shrewd form of censorship. When I asked for further guidance for reporting such a negative experience, they never responded.

In the past, I had no problems with the delivery of a number of Amazon gift cards, but this one took one week for a so-called overnight delivery card to be received. It was a gift received late. Not good. Although USPS verified that I had the correct address and zip code, they said that the card was forwarded to the wrong post office by the card company. It took two phone calls to Amazon, who in turn called the U.S.P.S, to rectify the problem. It cost me about 45 minutes of time for each phone call. I hope this isn't a trend. However, after dealing with so many issues with Amazon this last year, I can no longer recommend them. One issue I had was how a package was supposedly delivered to my front porch, but the Post Office had no record that it was delivered or that it was out for delivery. Thankfully, I was able to get a refund after getting into an argument with the customer service rep and finally speaking to a manager.

The biggest issue I've have is that I purchased Prime for the "free 2-day shipping". For years, there were no issues. However, in the last year, I've noticed a tremendous decline in orders shipping on time or being delivered on time. The crazy part is that Amazon built a gigantic shipping facility just 20 minutes south of me and yet, I can't seem to get orders delivered to me within the "estimated" 2-day shipping window. I have since canceled my Prime membership and will just start ordering from Walmart or going to an actual brick and mortar store. Amazon is no longer worth the price anymore.

And this was the first issue I had... so I told them to create me a return label. They did so I sent it out on the 10. Guaranteed for me to get a new shipment once the product gets to the vendor. The product made it to the vendor on the 23rd and yet I have not heard back from them. Every time I call Amazon they tell me they are sorry and sorry and sorry. But nobody sent me the product. And this thing about reimbursing me would make me happy was wrong. Because I ordered the item for a reason. I will never purchase from Amazon, because they are too incompetent to come up with a solution or send me my product.

If I wanted my money back I wouldn't have purchased it from there. It is disappointing that a company that size of Amazon can get away with such poor business ethics. And don't hold their 3rd party accountable for their action... I had never had problems before, but now it looks like Amazon lost a good customer (probably not good enough), over a 29 dollar PS4 stand, and over one of their vendors (Ortz).

Amazon did not suspect anything. The reseller was asking to contact him by email before placing the order. I did send him an email telling him I wanted to buy the product. He replied back telling me that Amazon will soon send me an email asking for my information so that they can place the order. Soon after, I received an email from "Amazon.de" asking me to make a money transfer to a specific Bank account with name: Amazon payments. I examined the email carefully since I am an it person (and Ethical Hacker) and I realized that the email wasn't coming from Amazon but from a fraud. I immediately forwarded the email to Amazon and they answer back telling me not to proceed with that order since they have just realized it was a fraud.

According to my opinion, Amazon should have realized that this was a fraud from the very first second, by just looking the price. It was offered by this crook, half the price. Impossible. What if I knew nothing about fraudulence and IT? What if somebody else was trying to make that purchase. He would definitely have got in to his trap. Amazon made a mistake in this case. Amazon was cheated by a crook. The crook was unveiled by me and not by Amazon.

Amazon shipped a 2 lb plastic bottle of lotion and a 1 lb thin-foil bag of powdered spice together, in one large box, without any protection... along with a few other items that were in their own cardboard boxes. The lotion bottle had a pointy spout on it. The lotion collided with the other contents during shipping (we assume) and cracked open, spilling out onto the other items, and the spout punctured the foil bag.

First, we wrote in to Amazon via email; we received a reply saying "Sometimes things get damaged during shipping... We will pass this info along to our shipping department. Thank you for shopping. We hope to see you back again soon." We wrote back in again. We received another reply saying "we can offer no additional insight into this matter."

We tried having Amazon call us. The phone rang within a few seconds. We were hopeful but then the person who answered got us into a constant loop of asking the same questions and then putting us on hold for 20 minutes. This went on for over an hour! We ended up hanging up after waiting on hold for another 30 minutes. We then tried chat... similar experience: the rep kept asking the same questions and not answering any of ours.

This is all because Amazon cannot competently package items. We do not have these problems with any of the other companies we buy similar products from.

We were so frustrated, we are seriously considering cancelling our account!!! We've been customers for over 10 years. Never have we had such a bad experience until recently. Definitely going down, down, downhill... and they just keep getting bigger and wealthier.

I've been ordering from Amazon for over a dozen years. This year I ordered a Retro Duo portable handheld console which was defective (wouldn't hold a charge). Amazon would only refund, refused to replace. They did ask if I'd like to reorder it, for the current price of $50 more. (It was bought less than a month ago). I think, from now on, I'll find products on Amazon, order them some place else.

Delivery on 28.12.2015, and message received that attempt made for delivery but the addressee was not available. I was waiting till late night and no one called from Amazon Transport. I called the customer care of Amazon, they replied that they dont have the contact details of the Amazon Transport and they dont know who attempted the delivery. The delivery status they show is wrong and no proper tracking of delivery by Amazon.in.

Ordered items via Amazon Prime 12/15/15 for Christmas. Right up to 12/23/15, I checked the status of the order & it was supposed to be delivered by 8 pm on 12/23/15. So much for the 2-day free shipping, I was charged shipping, but figured at least it will get here. On 12/23, I get notice that the item in fact SHIPPED that day with the bogus fall-on-the-sword email "apologies" and naturally the order had no way of being received for Christmas. The order was fulfilled by an Amazon fulfillment center, so this was not the fault of the seller.

Amazon clearly misled me with an incorrect delivery date in order to not have me cancel this purchase and get these speakers elsewhere in time for Christmas delivery. VERY BAD to intentionally mislead your Prime customers. I have cancelled my Prime account. Got a refund on shipping and one speaker, but the intentional deception was deplorable. The Amazon CSR argued with me about the difference between shipping and delivery, how dare he.

Two issues: I reviewed my credit card charges against my Amazon orders for December and found the following errors: I was charged twice on my credit card statement for an Amazon purchase, my Amazon account order shows one charge. Amazon customer service claims they only put through one charge and had no plans to issue a credit for the duplicate charge. Amazon charged return shipping for an exchange for a garment that was not properly sized, they have a "new" policy and claim it's well advertised. I wrote a review for a garment stating that it was inaccurate and poorly described by the seller and noted the return policy was inappropriate given the circumstances. My review failed to be posted even though Amazon admitted that the review was in compliance with all requirements. As a result, the seller has only glowing reviews (although only 5) for this particular item.

Just before Halloween, I ordered a book on new models of composting toilets and having not had a problem with Amazon in the past several years of ordering from them, confidently waited for the book to arrive. And waited. And waited. I began sending emails to both Amazon and the company that filled the order in the 3d week of November+-, then every week -9 days till today, Dec. 28th--no book, no communication from either. Today, I gave one last try at emailing Amazon, and it came back "permanently unsendable". That was it: I have unsubscribed from their emails, which I am sure they will continue to send, as it seems they can "permanently send" to ME, but that amenity doesn't go in reverse. I needed that book, planning to use it to research composting toilets for my property. I'll find the book but worse to me was that they didn't acknowledge my emails.

An update to this is that, in checking my order number, I found a note in tiny letters near those numbers that "my claim had been resolved and money returned to account"; now I will need to go back and see if I actually got my 22.84 back on my credit card statement. But because I wasted so much of my life with this problem and still have no book, I give one star.

I am 59. I've been purchasing from Amazon for many many years with complete satisfaction. I order large quantities and spend thousands of dollars every year on Amazon. Now it seems like everytime I try to purchase the same item again, Amazon has reclassified it as a "Prime" members only product. This has been a regular occurrence. As a result, I've been forced to go to Walmart's website, where I was pleasantly surprised to learn they offer a majority of the same products for the same price or less as Amazon. Free shipping on orders over $50 dollars which is not a problem with me.

I never need my shipments in a rush, so I always used Amazon's free shipping. I've noticed that free shipping takes much longer now with Amazon than it ever has for many years. So it appears that since I didn't buy Prime when Amazon started their new "Increased days for delivery on free shipping orders" they decided to reclassify the products I order as "PRIME MEMBERS ONLY". So Amazon is trying to force me to purchase Amazon Prime for $100, by reclassifying the items I regularly order as Prime members Only items. As a result, I'm now buying the majority of my products from Walmart's website and many other websites at or below Amazon's price.

There are many others out there selling at or below Amazon's prices with free shipping. Save yourself a $1000 over the next 10 years by not buying Prime. I've owned and managed several companies. I always find it interesting when fools devise programs that punish and run off some of their best customers, by attempting to force them into a program with a fee. THINK PRIME!!!

There was no order because Amazon pop up said the item in my cart was a Prime members only item. So when I selected Buy Again, to purchase a few more cases of Sparkle Paper Towels, Amazon advised me that items in my cart would be moved to Saved for Later, because it was a Prime members only item. So I couldn't reorder this product, until I purchased Prime!

Purchased 1 Bronze Times (TM) Vintage PU Leather Large Capacity School College Backpack online from Amazon. Because this item was not "large" or made of leather, I requested a refund on October 25, 2015. Bronze Times offered me a partial refund which I refused. After following the required steps to facilitate a FULL refund, I sent this item Certified Mail, Returned Receipt Requested to Bronze Times on November 2, 2015. My return was received on November 4, 2015. To date -- December 27, 2015 -- my request has not been expedited. Consequently, I have contacted Amazon to complain and ask for assistance. I would appreciate any assistance you might be able to provide. I am happy to provide e-mails, postal receipts, or other information as needed.

Ordered parts for a PC build on 12/20/15. The item was prime eligible and in stock with a guaranteed delivery date of 12/22. I called their CS dept when it didn't arrive on the 22nd and got the Jamaican bobsled team rep, she had no answers as to why the mishap occurred nor did she care. She even stated "Sir, I am in Jamaica and have no idea how the error occurred." Very helpful. I requested a different rep and the next one couldn't even pull up my account info, she transferred me again and I hung up after a ten minute wait. I found out today that it didn't even ship out till the 23rd.

I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars over the years purchasing products off of Amazon.com. I was a once FORMER loyal customer. Given their recent treatment of me though, I will NEVER give another cent to them. My daughter added something to her Christmas wish list on December 15th so I ordered it with GUARANTEED delivery by 12/24. On 12/23, I received an email from Amazon.com indicating my item JUST shipped and would be delivered the following week (AFTER Christmas). I contacted Customer Service who informed me that someone in the fulfillment center changed the delivery date for some unknown reason. I asked for the item to be shipped overnight delivery. They refused and instead offered me a $5 credit towards a future purchase... as IF I will EVER purchase from them again.

I bought Christmas presents Dec.13 and it was supposed to arrive Dec. 18-23. My items didn't ship until the 23rd. On the 22nd when I realized it wouldn't be here, I tried to cancel and it wouldn't let me. A day later it shipped and says it won't arrive until Dec. 30th. They won't do anything about it. Won't have a gift to give and won't do me any good a week after Christmas.
