When I started WW a month and 1/2 ago I was at the struggling to lose weight. Today I am 17lbs lighter because of WW. It’s not a diet and I’m never left starving. This program is amazing and so easy! WW changed my life!

I love the WW apt. The only problem I have is there are suppose to be stars by the food items and there is not. I find it easy to follow, for someone my age (70), it has been a good experience for me so far.

Original Review: Dec. 13, 2018
Weight Watchers used to be a reputable company. No more. In November, 2017, I joined online. It was for a six-month membership, that included meetings with weigh-ins, and use of the app. As far as the program was concerned, I wasn't impressed. Their new thing is the "flexibility" of their point system, which allows you to eat whatever you want, but within your daily point allowance. Perhaps this works for some people, but not for me. I need to be told what I can and cannot eat. But I gave it a chance, and did lose some weight.
By May of 2018, my membership had expired (or so I thought) so I stopped attending meetings, assuming I was no longer a member. In December, 2018, while looking over my credit card statement, I noticed Weight Watchers was still billing my card. When I called the company, and asked why I was still being billed, I was told my membership was "continuous". When I informed the rep that I was told it was a six-month membership, she had nothing to say. I told her to cancel my account, and she had the nerve to try to upsell me on the membership, and then actually asked me why I was cancelling!
While it's true I didn't carefully read the contract when I joined, WW is still engaging in unethical business practices. They know full well that customers will assume they will no longer be billed after the six months (or however long the membership is supposed to be for). And in my case, why was it called a "six-month membership" if the billing continued after the six months? Even giving the company the benefit of the doubt, assuming this wasn't deliberate on their part, and was the result of incompetence, that's still no excuse. My advice is, if you're going to join, don't do it online. Go in person and pay in cash. Do not give them your credit card. Because in my case, the monetary amount was relatively small, I have decided to not file a complaint with the state attorney general's office. However, needless to say, I will never use WW again.

I cancelled my services from the app in Novemeber 2018. I was billed once again in December called to let the cancellation department know I was accidentally billed for December. Was placed on hold for over 30 minutes. Told I could not ha e cancelled my account through the app. I asked if they would like me to send a picture of the cancellation tab in the app. Still told I could not get a refund by a supervisor. Called back once more to see if I could talk to a more reasonable person. On hold another 25 minutes. Still told no refund. I could not have possibly cancelled through the app. I told them I would be more than happy to send them the picture of the simple cancellation tab. Still said no and no refund.

It's pretty straightforward - WW WORKS. It's pretty easy to follow and it is the healthiest way to lose weight. Although I appreciate the point system, I would like to have the option to count calories instead which will translate better once I have reached my goal. Forty years ago I lost 20 lbs on WW and was promised a lifetime membership (I have my pin to prove it). Now they tell me that I had to weigh in every month since then. REALLY??? You do have to be kidding - right?

I signed up for a special rate for six months, stopped going and called them, they continued to bill me at a higher rate without authorization and refuse to refund me. They are more interested in selling their products and not concerned about weight loss. This is not my first time around with Weight Watchers, I have found the focus of the meetings to be all about changes in WW and the app and not about personal weight loss struggles and concerns. Meeting focus has gone from a feeling of belonging to a group that cared to a small screen on your phone and the onslaught of new products, childish incentives ignoring the very basic reasons of why folks use this program in the first place. If you want change bring in fresh instructors instead of misleading schemes and scams.

We are so sorry to hear of your frustration with WW and the recent changes, John. A member of our Resolution Team will need to speak with you further in hopes of providing you with a resolution. We will reach out to you privately.

Weight Watchers is absolutely amazing. Weight is always something that I have struggled with since I was in high school. This was a life changing experience. This has taught me that it is okay to eat what I want (in moderation). It has changed my everyday look at what I eat. Now that I have reached my goal weight, I am trying to see if I can lose a few extra pounds. This program is absolutely amazing and will always be a huge part of my life.

I have been overweight for about the past 25 years, and am currently working on losing about 110 pounds. WW has helped me in the past with teaching me how to eat better, and to watch what I eat and the portion size. I feel I am more determined now in this process, and have my mindset focused. If I don't accomplish this, my health and my way of living will continue to diminish. I am doing this and will accomplish this for me! But it will also help my children and my husband if I turn to healthier eating habits.
I want to be here for my grandkids some day, and I want to be active with my kids again - instead of sitting on the sidelines, and not wanting to be in any pictures. WW is an amazing program - you just need to follow it, and you need to read their articles, tips, and recipes EVERY DAY. I've also found some great members to follow on Connect, as well as Instagram and YouTube -- once you connect with someone, follow them, do what they do, and follow the plan - it DOES work, and WILL work :).

WW (formerly Weight Watchers) has been a great program for me to lose the weight I needed. I was able to undo some past hip and back pain problems and feel better able to move the way I want. WW has also given me some good guidelines for tracking and losing. The one complaint I have is the support for those who are maintaining is severely lacking. When I have reached Lifetime I felt like I was just thrown into the deep end without a life preserver. It would be nice to have some extra support and guidance for maintaining.

WW is, in my experience, the only program that encourages the participants to eat REAL food and offers recipes, online support, apps, real life coaches who have been successful working program. The community of online folks is a tremendous support. The meeting workshops are a "go to" for information and guidance during the journey. It's NOT just about dieting. It's all about getting healthy and feeling healthy. Although the primary focus for most is diet, it has evolved to much more of a whole mind & body experience. My only issue is the monthly cost for those on limited income can be a stretch. They do, however, offer special fees at times. When that happens, the cost is minimized and more affordable. I highly recommend WW.
Reviewed Dec. 10, 2018
You asked. I'm telling. But I'm not so sure you really want my opinion. After all, I'm not young, a millennial, a new mom, one who goes clubbing, which is the demographic I see WW is focusing on mostly these days. Hmmm, those aren't the folks I see packing the meetings in my local storefront. Where is your balance showing all types of members, on your ads, in your commercials, on your posters? Where is the cross section of all races, genders, Ages, yes I emphasize Ages?
As a weight loss program WW has improved, changed, updated with new medical and health research, since I first joined in 1986. Yes, that is a positive. I preferred the Beyond the Scale program of 2016-2017, to this current Freestyle program. I lost most of my weight on that program and happily I've maintained. Still not at Goal. My chosen Goal, but I'll get there. My primary concern is not with me. I have learned, changed habits and am determined to be successful for the rest of my life.
I'm most concerned with the marketing changes and push to make WW All things to All people. It's watering down the focus. I think you're trying too hard and not succeeding as you hope you would. Changing words, 'meeting' to 'workshop', 'leader' to 'coach', is just unnecessary. It shows you're buying into the whole PC culture. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I am not pleased with the lack of communication to the online community v those who attend meetings, when changes are implemented. It leaves people in the dark, often confused, which leads to anger. Send out emails, post notices on your site.
Your IT team leaves a lot to be desired. The app isn't so great. There are issues with Connect. It isn't as user-friendly and simple as it could be. I'm not a fan of the new Groups feature, as it segregates people and important comments by posters in those specific Groups, can't be seen by the general populace. You're further complicating what should be a simple system. The bigger you go, the messier it becomes. Focus! It's a weight loss company. That's what Jean Nidetch envisioned, started, cultivated. It's worked for years, don't wreck it. Your censorship rules are either confusing or secretive, can't easily be found online anymore. Why do you allow some things and not others to be posted? And for goodness sake, get rid of the Trending feature. You're making it a popularity contest. Reminds me of Junior High.
Guess what, most of the folks on WW already have self-image issues, confidence problems. You're making it worse. Don't you see how that can upset many? Folks who need support may feel further invisible, unappreciated when their big Success isn't suddenly Trending, yet another's is with even less 'likes'. It seems WW is really just out to make more money. You obviously spent a huge amount rebranding yourself as well as all your packaging. Tell me, did you also increase the salaries of all your employees? In all the shops around the world? I know you didn't. Shameful. You're turning into just another company that wants to make even more profit. Please don't tell me you're raising fees again. Have some concern for those of us who have strict budgets. All that being said, I'm committed to myself, my Success and will not drop out. My focus is me and my health.
Would I recommend the program? Yes. Why? It's sound, sane, balanced, teaches folks to enjoy life but be cognizant, employ moderation, be mindful of what they do and how they do it. Is any other program comparable? Well, not in the packaged food v buy/make our own sense, unless it's some Doctor/Dietician program. Do I think it's THE Best program? Meh, not necessarily so. That's why I gave you only 3 stars.

I see all these women on Instagram talking about their amazing workshops and I’d love that experience. But, you really need to offer more on weekends or later at night without driving forever. So I’m back on digital only getting so much more from women on Instagram than I do anything else.

I cancelled my Weight Watchers online 9-13-2018. The cancellation policy stated I would be charged a one time cancellation fee of 39.95. Weight Watchers has continued to bill me for services I am not using. 19.95 per month for the last 3 months. They stated because I cancelled online instead of calling them that I had to pay for my entire contract. I will not use WW again because they do not stand by their cancellation polices. The service rep simply needed to refund me 20.00 to make this right.

I lost over 90 lbs in college, life happened, joined half-heartedly a few times, but was on the way to Lifetime success in 2017. I was so excited. Then you introduced Freestyle. My weightless came to a grinding halt. The life-timers in my class, on average gained 10 lbs! Your inflexibility about offering what works for the "older contingent" is mind-blowingly frustrating to say the least. WE WANT THE OPTION!
Therefore, I could not continue my group meeting membership because I could not justify the cost. Seems like the only thing you all are interested in is extending the time that people PAY to reach lifetime...not staying true to your roots of WEIGHT LOSS! It's all about the money (my theory). I struggle even now to keep and justify paying you for the tracking app. I guess it's in hopes that you regain your senses, listen to the masses that want the option of Smart Points!

It teaches you to also learn a healthy life styles that isn't hard to do and the support that you receive from other people who are on it is AWESOME. They really do understand and will encourage you along the way to reach your goal. I am so glad I chose weight watchers for me and in the five weeks I've been on it I've lost 21.6 lbs. I have no regrets. I thank them for changing my lifestyle and helping me.

I have been a lifetime member for years but since my weight crept up I recently decided to rejoin. When I signed up at the center early Nov 2018, I did not receive a membership agreement with the terms of the agreement or receipt. My understanding was 1 month free and 2 months at $38.28, which was in a past email. A few days later, I called WW customer service to confirm my membership terms, the agent was not helpful - couldn't confirm my membership terms and told me to go to the WW website for help.
Here's my experience and feelings: I chatted with an online rep and was disconnected in the middle of the chat, had to start over with someone else and then was told I have to email WW with my question. So then I emailed WW (and after several exchanges) was sent an email with the terms of my membership - 1st month free, and then $38.28 each mo for 2 months. Since I was already charged for the first mo, I asked to refund or apply to the second mo. They emailed that I had to call customer service (CS) for that. Seems like a simple request, right?
So then back to square 1, calling CS. I called CS again and was told the terms of my membership were $38.28 for 3 months, not as stated in the email agreement from WW, which I now have in writing. The agent was not helpful or kind. So then I asked for a supervisor, who I felt was more high pressure than helpful. Forget about getting a refund or credit for the first "supposedly" free month. I was feeling extremely frustrated and now bullied to pay more than our agreement. So now after hours and hours of accumulated frustration with WW, trying to get this resolved my feelings are that WW used to be a supportive and kind, helpful environment, but not anymore. I feel like they are trying to take advantage of me. This should be a simple thing, but has become so stressful. So now I don't trust WW and don't want any part of it.
I would like a refund of the $38.28 (for all the stress this is causing me) and cancel my agreement. Or at the very least, keep the $38.28 and cancel my agreement without a $60 something penalty due to the circumstances. So now someone from corporate is "supposed" to call me in 72 business hours. I am so disappointed with this experience with the "new improved" WW, that I never want to have anything to do with them again. My initial goal was just to get the terms of my agreement in writing. I have the monthly rate in writing but it is not honored by WW customer service, who not only do not wish to uphold this but they want to charge me more! At this point, I have no respect for this organization and do not want to be a part of it. Buyer beware.

I love being on WW, I feel like the focus is definitely on weight loss but long term and healthy weight loss responsibly. My biggest complaint would be in regards to the center themselves. I am incredibly frustrated that the physical centers aren't all that compatible with the online tools and cell phone app. My experience has been with the center in Sterling Virginia where my center cannot scan my app to use my Monthly Pass... That seems really bad that it can't. I also am unable to meet at the times provided at my center on a consistent basis so I will weigh myself on the off weeks I can't go in.
I understand to keep people accountable and honest that weighing in at the centers is important. However I find it really frustrating that what I enter into the app doesn't connect with the center... Nothing is more frustrating or annoying than knowing I weighed myself entered in the app and I had gained and then be told at the center I had lost because of the lack of compatibility with the center... It makes me feel the guilt twice because I have to admit to the workers at the center that I know I didn't loose weight... That sounds silly but when your goal is to lose and you're teetering back and forth on the scale it can be really discouraging.
I also don't like that a lot of the workers at the center have zero idea on how to use the app? I try asking the leaders or the workers for advice or to troubleshoot things on the app and find I am often times teaching them features of it that they didn't already know... I also do not like that the Connect feature only works on the phone? I think it should also work on the computer platform...

After canceling my online plus studio membership via the app last June (2018), I discovered that WW was stilling billing me the $53/month. This was discovered when I decided to restart my membership but found that a) I already have an account and b) I have no active membership with WW. Well it can’t be both. To put it simply, the monthly dues continued to be deducted from my bank each month while my online access says I have no monthly plan. I was unable to weigh in at the meeting I attended because I wasn’t currently on a plan, according to what the app said.
I called WW and got no help after the person on the phone acknowledged my cancellation in June, but stated that I had two accounts. One was canceled and one remained active. However, I can’t prove this at the meeting! I can’t find anywhere on the website to make the case that I’m being billed for services I do not have access to.
This is so disappointing because I love what WE offers and would like to restart my membership. I’ve been billed for the past six months for a service I discontinued. I would like to know how to resolve this situation. I can’t be current and not current at the same time. Horrible customer service on the phone. I will take this up with my bank’s fraudulent activity division. I’m very disappointed to have to do this.

Weight Watchers has always worked for me. Usually I do it for 2 to 3 months, lose a little weight, get tired of doing it and move on. This time I am really loving the Freestyle format. It seems to be working a lot better for me and I feel like I might actually be able to stick with it this time due to the increased flexibility. I do think it would be nice if people who did the app/online also got the little charms and also had a way to achieve lifetime status. I understand this would cost more, but not everybody can do the in-person meetings and I think it would be more motivational. Although, I do see there is a new Wins benefit program and I am excited to see how that works.

I'm a WW veteran - 15 years. Freestyle has no style (- well, no structure, but I was going for the rhyme). You claim to be all about wellness and learning healthy habits so it's a lifestyle, not a diet, but there's no way to track water intake anymore, for example. How do I learn - really internalize - what makes a food a healthier choice if I don't know how the points are calculated? How do I learn portion control when I can eat unlimited quantities of zero point foods?
Most distressing, you are unwelcoming and throwing up barriers to my effort - I don't have a smartphone so I can't track my wins points through the website. I don't have a smartphone so I can't fully participate with Connect (I can't add my picture, for starters - I just look generic.) My friend Sue invited me to rejoin WW so we could do this together, but she couldn't get the free month benefit because I don't have a smartphone. The bathroom in my local studio is positioned so that I have to walk through all the chairs and members - not enough privacy (or soundproofing) so rather than be embarrassed, a few weeks ago, I simply left the meeting and went home. I have 20 pounds to go but as soon as I'm there, I'm gone.

I've been on and off various WW programs for 30+ years. For me the most successful was the one where you counted fat and fiber but I had moderate success with every version of WW until Free-for-All, oops, I mean Freestyle. It's a modified high protein, low carb Atkins diet but not as effective because with zero point fruit, there's still too many carbs. The points values of anything that contains the least bit of sugar/carbs is sky high which blows your 23 point daily budget out of the water. It definitely feels like a diet whereas previous programs did not.
The other thing I hate is that WW is consolidating meetings. The small meeting I used to attend that had a great leader was consolidated into a huge meeting in a less convenient location. The big meeting is a joke - the same people week after week monopolizing the conversation with blow by blow descriptions of what they ate that week. Really? Who cares? The leader never effectively reigned them in. Lastly, Connect is poorly moderated with many political and other off-topic posts. I don't give a hoot what anyone else's political opinions are. Why discuss politics on a diet site and why doesn't WW remove those comments?

The second time I joined I knew I had to put a little effort into it and I began to lose weight but got stuck and quit. The last time I joined before this I had an epiphany... the program will work if I work the program. I began to understand the philosophy behind the program and am grateful for the focus on all around wellness. I can no longer afford to go to meetings, nor does my work schedule allow for it so the online version is great! I can still access the website, the community, and all of the helpful articles. I find as I change how I feel about food, I change how and what I eat, and the weight is slowly coming off. I would definitely recommend Weight Watchers over the crazy fad diets going around. It just makes sense.

I feel there are many things about the program that online members don’t learn, like how and if they can use their weeklies or what a blue dot is. There are certain questions asked on Connect ALL the time and it gets annoying! WW should send emails when someone starts the program on how to do things. I had done Noom for the free trial, and although I didn’t like it, it was extremely helpful in education, like how often to weigh yourself and to do it the same time of day, because LOTS of people don’t know you gain weight in the afternoon and they weigh themselves and freak out. The psychological aspect and the info in Noom was far superior to WW. It costs little to nothing for WW to send emails to all their members explaining the basics.

I’ve been an on & off WW’er for 8 years. I have to say that out of each of the programs, I had the most success with points plus. I do like the fact that Freestyle allows filling foods such as chicken, eggs, and more veggies for 0 points. I know on the PP program I ate things such as Fiber One bars for lower points than now (almost doubled in points with SmartPoints) but they satisfied my sweet cravings just the same as a brownie would. Now, it’s 4 points for a Fiber One brownie & 8 for the ones my daughter eats so I tend to choose the actual brownies. I’m not 100% convinced that freestyle is doing amazing things for me yet, but maybe I’ll get there. I really loved the PointsPlus days. When I first began in 2011, that’s what got me my weight loss start.

I used the Points Plus program, with a lot of success. So 10 years later, after the weight crept back on, I decided to go with the "known & trusted" system of Weight Watchers. Big mistake! I signed up for the 6 month program with coaching (this subscription was also supposed to come with a free gift that I never received). After 2 months of eating and tracking everything, and attending meetings weekly, I was down 3 pounds... Seriously I could have lost more than that, and saved a lot more money, if I did this on my own.
And their customer service is a JOKE!!!! I just called there, spoke to someone who barely spoke English, and I was offered a FREE MONTH, because this "program doesn't work for everyone". Really?!?! You think that when I am calling to try to cancel my membership, and get out of it any way possible, I want a free month? Needless to say I am now out of 70.00 and I have a lot of frustration towards a company that I once held in high regard. I caution you to try and find tools to do this online, for free, before joining. Make sure that you are not one of the ones like me, that this program "DOESN'T WORK FOR". Lots of money, and hours of my own time, down the drain. Thanks a lot WW.

I like the app as it is easy to use. In my professional career, we too have an app and regularly use surveys. I don't understand why there isn't any feedback provided to users since you are able to collect so much data on all of your users. I receive no suggestions based on my performance or lack of recently. Are you looking at the food tracked and comparing it to performance? Your app has much more potential.

Hello, Keith, thank you for providing your feedback regarding our app. We do not monitor usage to ensure each member's journey is private. Maybe I should consider it a blessing. Anyway, my point is that I don't get any support outside of the meeting. Oh, no I take that back. I do have a Facebook group. Nevermind.

I was successful managing my weight my whole life. I eat well and work-out at the gym. Weight was not an issue for me. I few more work-outs would keep my weight in check if I splurged on holidays or on the weekend. Then I hit menopause and my tricks were not working. I gained 15 lbs in a matter of months. I thought to myself, "I work-out and eat right, where am I going wrong?" I knew I needed to get on track before my weight got out of control. My Mom has been on WW for years and is a life-time member. I decided to give WW a try and I am glad I did. I have lost about 7 lbs in 6 weeks. WW has pointed me in the right direction to get my weight back on track and I am so happy! Thanks WW!

I've used Weight Watchers in the past but old methods of tracking were cumbersome - using the slide card to calculate points, etc. Yes, it's been a while since I was a member! I signed up 3 weeks ago as my weight kept increasing finally reaching the point where I knew I had to do something. In my younger days I could drop pounds easily. But with aging you lose this ability. I also realized I was a stress eater and nighttime snacker. Both habits had to change. So after a recent doctor visit I signed up again. All I can say is the scanner feature is fantastic. So easy now to scan foods. Plus the greatly expanded restaurant area is great. I'm sticking to my daily points total. When I feel like I need to eat from stress or get a little hungry in the evening, I have found substitute foods - last night it was a couple oranges instead of chips or pretzels. And the results are great - 10 pound weight loss in 3 weeks! Thanks WW for making it so easy

I joined WW at work and was a regular member for several years. When I got additional responsibilities and was traveling so much I couldn’t attend meetings anymore, I canceled. A couple of years later, I left that employer. WW continued to charge my credit card - they had no current email or phone number for me. My credit card number changed, but through their autopay system, they continued to put through the charges. When I noticed, I called them and canceled again over the phone.
Now, years later, I noticed the charge is still posting. When I called them, they said the “cancellation must not have been successful” without explanation of how I could have assured a “successful cancellation” - what does that even mean? How can a “successful cancellation” be a requirement when only the party benefiting from NON-cancellation (WW) is able to make it “successful”. I have called yet again, this time I asked for a confirmation number even though it was not offered, and when I was transferred to a supervisor and asked how they were charging a credit card number with no valid contact information, he HUNG UP ON ME.

I am writing to you to celebrate a long time goal (not WW goal yet but planning on making it to LIFETIME) that I was doubting myself. I FINALLY made it to 179 after been stuck in 180-184 for over 1 year and the scale has not budged. To be honest some of it was my fault and not totally being true to the plan, others reasons are that I didn't have my head in the game totally. Without seeing any movements on the scale and other reasons I didn't track honestly. Also I used to be at a size 18 jeans pushing bigger if I didn't stop myself. Now I am in a size 14 and those are now loose and falling down with having to get a smaller size. I'm not sure if I can get into a size 12 yet. But if I do that is the smallest size that I have wore and that we back in High School. UPDATE: I can wear a size 12!!!!!
I have a bunch of reasons now which is I am proud of MYSELF for where I am at now versus where I started at. I started Weight Watchers at my all time highest weight at 217 and I am 2 pounds from a 40 pounds loss. This makes me want to cry happy tears. I first joined Weight Watchers back in 2006 and never stayed on it very long just to get my 16 weeks and 10%. (that old charm holder that looks like 10%) I have been previously been borderline diabetes and with losing weight I have defeated that for a long time. I have been for over 1 year right in the normal range. It runs in my family on both sides so I was told that I choose when I get it our if I get it. It took a long time to really take care about myself.
I started this back in February 2016 and other people doubted me and said that I couldn't do it. Plus other people at my work back then started a diet of their own choice. Then shortly after I joined and I was keeping my eye on the prize. They ALL ended up stoping their diet and then I got the normal why are you paying to loose weight? Well my why was cause I did it before years ago but fell off the wagon hard. But I kept going on the path cause I wanted to prove them wrong and that I could do it; but now I am happy to say that I am doing this for me and I don't care what anyone things.
I was focused on the number on the scale versus how my clothes fit, how I feel, and you know all the other things like we all have felt once we got there. I had some bad habits like just taking cookie dough out of the fridge and eating it like a snack, eating in my car tubes of frosting, 2-3 donuts in one sitting. I look back at that now and think “ Why did I do that to myself I only made it worse and harder to work off after how many times that I did that”.
I have a great leader and our corner of friends at the meeting every Saturday that I go weigh in. I have a great family support of my husband that keeps me in check if I like it or not, and close friends that hasn't had doubts. I have other friends that have helped me through this and seen them get to goal. I also have a great accountability partner Kathleen we have stuck together no matter what type of week we have we communicate everyday multi times a day. We keep each other going. She has became a close friend to me like another family member.
I also have just finally be able to get my wedding ring past my knuckle. I haven't been able to do that until now. I thank you for believing in me while I didn't believe in myself but I am happy to say I am in the game and not giving up this feeling at all. I also just signed up for to run my 5K in Maryland in November this year. I am in training to prepare for it. In closing this is what my why would be other than the common things family and feeling better about myself. I have never put thought of what or how I would put my why. I did not intend for this to be this long but more came out while I was thinking and makes me think of how far I have came from the start.

I find it very distasteful to call in for help in tracking certain foods. The majority of the time I am routed to the Philippines where their English skills leave much to be desired. I ask them to slow down their speech as I cannot understand them due to their accents. They are not happy hearing this and insist on speaking too fast. I don't know what they are saying and oftentimes hang up on them. Please have American citizens on the staff of call in contacts. I followed the online program, used the WW app where you can log in your daily food intake and part of the app you can read bar codes on any food label to caluculate your daily points. It makes you accountable of your eating habits and really opens your eyes as to what is good and bad to eat. The freestyle program is great. Called and requested a list of attendance dates for my employer and all they could provide are the dates WITH my weights on it!! The zone includes a daily point total that hits a range between 10 points below and 5 points above your daily allotment that's based on height and weight. When you complete a day in the healthy eating zone, the day on your WW calendar turns blue. This "blue dot challenge" is a perfect way for WW to have implemented their rewards program that followed their name change to Wellness that Wins.
Instead, WW implemented a reward points system for every meal that is tracked, regardless of whether the daily total is in the healthy eating zone or not. Our Wellness Coach actually told us we could log a glass of water for every meal and get the reward points toward the prizes. Of course, three glasses of water will get the prize points but does not incentivize people to eat healthy. WW already has the healthy eating "blue dot challenge" as part of their meal tracking system but they didn't take advantage of it by pairing it with the goals for rewards. It's a shame because so many members have switched their focus to free prizes instead of making it a practice to eat healthy.

When I joined I found the people were not very supportive, except for the speaker at the meetings, she was alright. I was not told when I joined that my card would continuously be charged. I attended the first 2 meetings and that was it, I was charged for 6 months, customer service did not reimburse me and I found them to be very rude as well. Weight Watchers support did not work out for me.

Thank you for reaching out to us with your experience, Mary. Your feedback allows us the opportunity to provide you with quality support and products. Our Resolution Team will reach out to you here. We look forward to resolving your concerns.

I opted for the 3 month subscription and chose for it to be cancelled at the end of the 3 months. Month 4 I’m charged a regular subscription fee. I call to speak with billing about this and the lady is extremely rude and interrupts constantly. She tells me the fine print I signed stated I would be renewed for a regular subscription. I told her that I opted out for that and she continued to over talk and be rude so I asked to speak with a supervisor and sat on hold for 40 minutes only to be hung up on. Terrible communication and customer service. The program itself is alright but wasn’t for me. Would not recommend Weight Watchers to anyone!

I joined the program on August because it was a discounted plan offered through my employer. I was looking for something that would work with my busy lifestyle. It was working for a little bit, but I found that the Freestyle plan and 23 point a day didn't work for me. I decided to cancel and was immediately offered a free month to give another chance. I took the free month with the option to cancel. I didn't even use the free month and cancelled a few days afterwards. I knew there was an early termination fee to be paid and I was fine with that. I check my account and find that I have been charged a subscription fee for this month. That was not explained when I cancelled online. There was simply the option to cancel and be charged the termination fee.
Customer service rep rcsined today that I'll be charged up until December, unless I cancel again today and then be charged the early termination fee of 64.00, on top of the 44.00 that was just charged to my account and also in September. This adds up to well over the actual cost of the early termination fee. As a first time enrollee, this leaves a very bad taste and I don't think I want to try again with WW or any other weight loss program. I work too hard for my money to have it taken away because of misleading information.

Thank you for taking the time to bring this to our attention, Charlene. We take your concerns very seriously. A member of our Resolution Team will reach out to you shortly.

I was doing great on Weight Watchers. I loved it. I was losing every week. A few times I stayed the same but never gained. Then... Freestyle. Everything stopped. I did everything suggested. I kept asking how many 0 point foods could I eat and still lose weight. I was told to “work” the program and see how body reacted. I joined WW for help. I even tried different meetings to get answers. After being so successful I feel lost. I kinda feel like I was let down. I waisted a year trying to make it work. I loved you WW, it’s you, not me.

I joined WW on the 30 points program and it was wonderful. I was losing weight and then all of a sudden Freestyle comes along. Only allows 23 points. Just terrible!!! Free foods... no way=weight gain. So many people I know feel the same way and have terminated their memberships. Why can't WW have 2 programs... One for the people that want to do the 30 points and one for people who want to do Freestyle. Like the others I know it's time to terminate my membership. Goodbye WW until you can appease all!

Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us with your concerns, Mary.Your success is important and we appreciate you as a dedicated WW member. We will reach out to you shortly to assist you further.

I have been a long time member of Weight Watchers for many years. I love the program and it works. I have been at goal for the past 7 years! Over the past year at my weekly meetings we have gotten away from talking about the program. That is such an important part of this journey. Now we are suppose to get our phones out and talk about the app! I don't come to meeting to "learn" about the phone app. That should be a meeting in its own. I am an analogue person and do not enjoy using it to track. We have several people who like me, don't like the way this is going. We are being overlooked.
