I enjoy the Weight Watchers community. IT has been a positive experience for me because it keeps me motivated. I only wish there was a part of the program that would allow us to choose which program works well for individuals, such as 30 smart points or freestyle program is one's weight loss stalls or stops completely. Overall my experience with the program is satisfactory.

I’m on my second week of Weight Watchers this time around. I have been doing great and enjoying my experience. Reason I give 4 stars and not 5 stars is because of the app. I’m having trouble accessing the app while not home connected to WiFi. It gives me a “Sorry, having connection issues” while at restaurants and grocery stores - places I need them the most. I contacted Help and she said it was probably my phone service. It very well could be, but I have never had any issues before with any other apps and I’m able to connect to all my other apps but this one.

I lost almost 40 lbs. About 7 or 8 years ago. Slowly I gained most of it back. Spring break I went on a cruise. I gained 8 lbs in that 7 days! I tried to lose it but it just wasn't coming off. By the end of June I was ready to try something different. I got an email from my health insurance saying I am eligible to join a weight management program. So WW was one of the choices. I chose WW. So far I have been more mindful of what I put in my mouth. I have lost 10 lbs. I would like to lose 20 more.

I love Weight Watchers Freestyle program. I joined wanting desperately to lose weight and make friends with people with the same goal in mind. I got everything I was hoping for and so much more. The program is ran like a business but with a family of like-minded people reaching our goals one week at a time.

When I joined WW in July 2015, I weighed 410 lbs. And was in real bad physical condition. By staying on the WW program and with the encouragement of the WW group leaders I lost 91pounds. Had to drop out because of major surgery, but I'm back and have lost another 15 pounds, my loss now is 106 pounds. My goal is to lose another 45 lbs.

I had to do something and the At Work program started at my place of employment - Oct 19, 2017. Since then I have lost 81.8 pounds!! HOW? By following the program which has been easy! AND the support I have received from my leader, Susie ** - she is extremely motivating and very positive! The online app for tracking keeps me accountable (as do the weekly weigh-ins!) I feel SO much better (look better too!) COULD NOT HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT WEIGHT WATCHERS!!

I have tried WW many times in the last 15 years. I'm returning again. The leaders are very encouraging. It was just announced that Bravo stickers are being passed out any more. WHY NOT?? I liked earning that little star. I'm very disappointed that weekly weight losses aren't being announced or recognized.

The meetings I attend are diverse women and men of various ages. They encourage me to keep going. The leader also makes no judgments and helps with tips and such. I am a senior now. Weight does not melt away like when I was in my 30's. I find this point system very liberal and I am reforming my eating habits so I can benefit in the future. Thank you!!!

I like the convenience of knowing how healthy something is based on the number of points. It would be great if it could be more customizable when searching (like calculating custom coffee drinks) but overall it is good. I’ve lost 7 pounds in a few weeks but more than that, I’ve got in the habit of choosing healthier foods.

I love how user-friendly the WW app is. It only takes minutes to track all my food daily and the restaurant lookup has been huge! I love being able to check out meals and select my dinner before I ever reach the restaurant. I have also synced my Fitbit with the WW app so it tracks my steps and helps me to gain extra points. I use the app at the grocery store to scan anything new I am considering purchasing. I know at a glance how many points it is per serving. I have not found an item yet that was not already listed. I am following totally online, but know that I can do a live chat if I have any questions or concerns. And I did use this feature when I first started. Eating normal foods and losing weight could not be easier!!

I am on the free diet. I am allowed 23 points per day. I love fruits and vegetables, more than grains and meats so I thought this would be easy. And indeed, it is easy, and the program makes it very easy to count. In fact, that portion is wonderful. In 14 days, I have not exceeded my 23 points. I have been on this diet for 14 days now, and here comes the problem. I have lost ZERO pounds. NOT EVEN AN OUNCE! Maybe this freestyle program needs rethinking.

First: Prior to the Freestyle program, I was extremely happy with the WW program. Admittedly, I had an eyebrow raised when ads in January touted members losing as much as 85 lbs and lauding their success using the Freestyle program (tiny disclaimer language that another program was also used as well). In any event, I and many others have had no success with the FS program and WW is not supportive. I plateaued, then gained - this after consistent loss on the prior program. I doubled up on meetings, and continued to work with FS. My total disgust with WW came when a leader said "I'm tired of talking about how FS doesn't work - I'm over it."
While WW's marketing plan may be that it changes, they may say "improve" the program, members shouldn't be forced to use the most recent iteration. All tools (phone app, etc.) have been updated and I was told in a chat session that WW doesn't support the prior program. Members should be able to follow the immediately preceding program, and WW should support it with the tools THEY suggested you use.

I signed up for WW online, soon after I started receiving letters and calls stating I owed 79.05 for meetings. I called and informed them I do not attend meetings, I am online only and I have NEVER missed any monthly payment. The representative said they had gotten my name mixed up with another customer who had the same name and would note the account. I thought it was taken care of until I receive in the mail a letter from a debt collection agency!!! I have never been late on a payment for anything in my life and this is beyond frustrating. I contacted WW and they tell me there is NOTHING they can do since it's in collections now. This kind of mistake can harm my credit and is beyond negligent. The company needs to be a better job with records keeping and I would advise anyone thinking of joining to do so elsewhere or they might have to deal with this same kind of issue!

We can't apologize enough regarding this billing issue, Rose! A representative will reach out to you here privately to further assist you in resolving this problem.

First I would like to state what a positive program WW has. I have been a continuous member since February, 2018. My weight loss has been steady & I have completely restructured my eating habits. Our weekly group meeting is wonderful with a super leader. Each time we renew for the next session we are given a voucher to apply towards the use of the WW mobile app/online tracking. I have used these vouchers faithfully as it saves $19.95 per month. Recently I have discovered that I am being billed for the last 3 months totaling $60.00. (My husband handles all our online payments & did not question the additional charges assuming it was part of the membership fees.) I tried explaining this to a WW representative today in hopes that we could get this resolved.
When I used the vouchers I destroyed them so it does not help to prove my side. WW of course says they have no record of my entering the vouchers. They refuse to credit me. I have pretty decided that due to their not willing to honor the fact that apparently something went wrong on their end when I attempted to use the vouchers on their website, I will not be able to continue with the program. One would think that just looking at my account with them & seeing a continuing membership and commitment that they would credit back the $60. (I was also just told today that calling in the voucher code each time is faster and more reliable - does this mean the website just may indeed have some glitches?) However they must not be too concerned over losing a customer who now carries a less than desirable opinion of their huge company. What was a very positive journey has now taken on a very sad turn.

It is never our goal to upset our members and we would love the opportunity to assist you further. A member of our Resolution Team will reach out to you shortly. We look forward to speaking with you.

I joined in May 2018 and to date have lost only 11 pounds. I joined WW 20 years ago and was able to lose 40 lbs in a reasonable way. However in the interim I have developed thyroid issues as well as going through menopause and all that entails. I joined as a last resort because my A1c was up and my doctor put me on medication. After 2 months my A1c was even higher! So now fruits are off the table. I also have diverticulosis which requires high fiber to keep my colon healthy. That pushes the points off the charts so I cut them virtually out. I feel horrible! I am bored with the food and eat the same thing every day. I rarely use up the points because nothing looks appetizing to me.
I chatted with the help after 2 days of trying to connect through my computer only to have the conversation on my phone cut off. I was 30 min. I did try to reconnect but got someone new and she started to tell me how to reset my computer, I quit. One thing that struck me was the rep, Mary, told me was that people often don't feel well on the program!!! I was shocked she said that. I told her that losing on only 11 lbs in 3 months isn't very good when I was expecting to lose at least 5-7lbs a month. I don't think this plan is good for people with serious health issues. Diabetes in particular.
I think this is more geared to an Atkins type diet. I can't see that ancient grains, nuts, seeds, whole and long grain rice etc. should be assigned such high point value when sugar is natural or not is a real problem. I will be canceling my subscriptions well in advance of my 6 months to make sure they get it right. I very disappointed WW has gone this way. I think it's all about being relevant in today's market and I think the change came when the buyout happened. Celebrities aren't always the best owners.

After reading some reviews I know now I am not the only one that was unware of a cancellation fee. I canceled within 2 weeks of the program and had a 30 day trial. When I canceled online it showed I was canceled and all and I didnt have access to the app. Then in the month of June I was charged 19.95. I then checked to see if I had truly canceled and I did. I let that month go and lo and behold I was once again charged 19.95 so this is when I called in... Well that was a joke. The guy was very rude from the start of our conversation and I was then asked, "Did you know you signed a 6 month deal?" I stated, "No but I canceled way before the 30 day free trial so it doesn't matter."
Long story short and an hour on the phone with him and many back and forths he finally agreed to refund cancellation fee and the 19.95 and I might add the cancellation fee was deducted from my account while I was on the phone with him. I was furious and this was done after I had told him I do not authorize this company to deduct from my bank account ever again. Well so much for that. Thinking I would be credited in the 5 to 7 business days as promised. Nope I called again. Got a lady after holding and saying that they deleted my card info. They mailed a check and guess what haven't seen it either.
Call 3 got a lady again retelling the whole story again and after excuses again and she wanted me to give me my credit card info again or the last 4 digits and expand V code to confirm that the card on file was correct and after her talking to her superiors I was told that credit would be issued in 5 to 7 days. Well nope. So call 4 same excuses same story about my card and I said nope use it every day. After she talks with supervisors I was apologized to and she stated this has been took care of and you should receive a check in the mail within 5 to 7 business days. Well guess what. It's been 10 days and nothing so once again I call this morning for another 30 min conversation and more excuses and yep I am livid by now but tried to remain professional but firm. Well after she talks to her supervisors and saying they don't know what has happened and why I was told those things in the other phone calls she said it will be 6 weeks for the refund.
I then got really mad and said it's been over 6 weeks as I have been trying to get this refund for 2 months. I stated I want my money in the form of check or credited to my bank account by the end of next week or I will have the bank to start proceedings on unauthorized use. I also stated that it took the first guy I talked with 1 min to deduct the cancellation fee after I told him I do not authorize any more deductions but yet it took what seems a lifetime to get credit. I have never in my life had such poor customer service... I want my money. DON'T SIGN UP UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TO DO IT FOREVER AND IT ISNT WHAT IT USED BE!

I have been on every program you could imagine since 1980. Some great, some not so great. I have had great luck on Nutrisystem but I think my system was used to it and quit responding so decided to try WW. It was the only "diet" program I had not ever tried in 30 years. Well, I cancelled Weight Watchers Meeting Membership after 2 weeks and just sticking with the online version. Found the meetings were not helpful and a little too RAH RAH older dance moms feel for me. Once I matched my scale with theirs, I don't really need to go anymore.
The support I had assumed they would offer, they didn't so not wasting my time. Lost 5 lbs first week so we'll see how it goes moving forward. Someone told me to go to a different meeting. The only time I can go is Saturday so it will always be the same leader and there are about 50 other women that also go on Saturday. They talk about stuff I already know to do (just don't or didn't). Most have been common sense stuff. I had assumed they would sit with me (especially after the first week) look over my choices, etc. and give me some guidance. The lady that checked me in said, "You're an adult. You're responsible for your own food." Really! I thought you were there to help and support.
I think there are just too many members at the same meeting. 50 is a lot of people. My leader is energetic and gung ho but I think there are just too many long term members in the room. Some talking and socializing and not listening to her and it's annoying. There are many life members there and folks that have been going for months and months. I think the WW folks need to do a separate meeting for all the newcomers (at least for a few weeks) and another meeting for the ones that have been there awhile. That would help. Then the new members could ask questions and get feedback without being intimidated by long term members. I just thought it would be different than it was. I guess I had different expectations.

Do not pay for this program if you already have excellent eating habits, it is not designed for you. It worked well before December 2017, before numerous other items were added to fruit and vegetable "free points." Some of the added items (that users are encouraged to eat) like soybeans, carry a lot of calories and are not portion controlled. The way it is now, a person can conceivably eat 1000 calories in "free" points, have points left over at the end of the week and still gain weight. Zero points do not mean zero calories.
For those that do come into the program who already eat nutrient dense foods, to stay on track, we now must manually keep a pen and paper count of calories as well, contrary to Weight Watcher's marketing. The idea behind the change is to funnel those with poor eating habits into better ones but those already doing are left out in the cold. They had to know this when the system was converted. The app works very well, it's the programming behind it that's flawed.

I have used Weight Watchers for over 15 years and loved the program...until now. I joined online, but when I tried to cancelled my subscription I failed to read the FINE PRINT where it states that you are basically locked in for 6 months. After the 6th months was up, I was charged for another month because they don't do "partial credit." They would not work with me at all on getting a credit. Based on these experiences, I unfortunately will never do the online program again. It reflects poorly on Weight Watchers and discourages me from using one of the best weight loss programs available.

Just joined for the first time ever although I loosely used the program years ago with my mom. I don’t know what people are talking about in reviews, the Freestyle web app is fantastic, you do have to bounce around and do some searching but once you find things it’s easy. I’ve used their help chat and it was also top notch. Not as many foods as Lose It! That’s simply not true. You just have to search differently, food first then brand its details. It’s pretty simple. And please DO NOT give me points back for exercise (as someone requested). MyFitnessPal did that and I never lost a pound. Those free ones just don’t work for a lot of people. Weight Watchers just does! Thank you!!!

I ended up cancelling my 6 month WW plan less than a month after I joined. I found the app very confusing and the Freestyle plan confusing in general. Also with work and school meetings were just not that easy to attend since they changed their location from where they were a couple of years ago. When I joined this time I did not notice anywhere that they charged one a $64.00 and change cancellation fee.
So when I went to cancel after about 2 weeks into it I was shocked and thought well maybe I will just continue, but after another week and half or so re-decided to just cancel since I was not going to use going to meetings or the app. Yes, I was charged the cancellation fee. Also the first month was supposed to be free. I did get a 'cookbook' paperback and at the time told them I don't cook and they just told me to give it to someone I know on the program (I don't know anyone). I have joined WW many times before and honestly this is the first time I have ever been charged to cancel... This has been the most expensive monthly plan that WW has ever had... Very disappointed.

The Freestyle program does not work for me. A year ago I joined WW and lost 50 lbs. Since beginning Freestyle in November 2017, I began gaining weight. I have digestive disease and cannot eat most of the zero point foods, and I quickly became tired of eggs, chicken, and turkey soup which were the only ideas our meeting group could suggest. With Smart Points I was able to eat a wide variety of foods, even eating out nearly every day for lunch (making healthy choices no less - NOT burgers and fries), and lost weight every week. Now, even the occasional Lean Cuisine doesn't fit within the daily points budget. My husband had the same experience with Freestyle as well.
We officially quit Weight Watchers last month. The weekly date with disappointment at the scales was too much to bear after the Smart Points success. Now we are forced to search for other weight loss programs. Zero points does not mean zero calories. Let the vegans have Freestyle and bring back Smart Points for those of us who enjoy a wide variety of foods using the Smart Points plan. And just an idea, but don't repeat the mistake of changing your weight loss plan at the beginning of the holiday season!

I am not finding the food items on the app to be very comprehensive. I have a lot of difficulty finding items, especially when I eat out. I understand it is unreasonable to assume all my local restaurants will be in the database, but on the 4th of July I wanted to record a hamburger without the bun and I was unable to do so no matter how many ways I typed in the search box. I am also frustrated that I can’t subtract items from restaurant menu selections. For example, what if I order the salad without the cheese, how can I deduct that?
I find a lot of your foods are listed as a serving, but I don’t see what defines this serving. Look at bruschetta for an example. How big is the piece of bread? What are the ingredients? When you list 1 serving, how should I know how much that means. Last, I am curious how to count excess fruits and protein. If a serving is 3oz, what should I charge myself I eat 6? Or too many 3oz servings in a day? Surely the result of over eating chicken or beef should result in overconsumption of points but there’s no way on the app to hold me accountable or learn what the extra intake means in my plan.

I have lost eight pounds in two months. I hoped for 15 in months but I am not optimistic at this time. I just wish some healthy foods aren't such point crushers. For example, low fat cottage cheese has four points but has the same sugar and calories as plain Greek yogurt which has zero. I shouldn't have to feel guilty or like I am splurging to eat light cottage cheese. I am sick of eating fruits and vegetables and chicken. Some of the meeting leaders are condescending.

Transition to computer records cumbersome and inconvenient resulting in wrong data about weight loss, for example. Info corrected only after many requests. Not very customer oriented. Food plan changes every year in January with no options for those who prefer and reset habits on earlier plan. I’m online only because meetings just don’t work with my schedule and life. To be honest I feel completely “left out” when I read things on Connect - no charms, no encouragement from the app. It seems delayed if you post a loss. No follow up if it seems I’ve gained. I know coaching is available but it’s out of the budget. I use connect when I can to post and solicit feedback. Yet at times connect feels like the “cool kids club” with the trending tab and you don’t always get a lot of feedback. The program is okay but I’d honestly like more structure - I’ve read how the “old” plan was and I wish there was an option to go back to it. All this “free” food isn’t true and I have to remind myself of that. My subscription is up in August and I don’t think I will be renewing - there are other apps that are free and seem to make more sense to me.

Weigh in policy. On my recent visit to Weight Watchers I was told they now have a new policy for weighing in. You must weigh in with either socks or shoes on. They will no longer provide paper towels to put down on the scales since they are now going green/eco friendly. When asked can we provide our own paper towels, we were told no and they would not adjust the scales for the weight of our shoes. It should be each members option to bring their own paper towels. We were told this was for safety reasons. What does safety have to do with putting a piece of paper towel on the scale. Weight Watchers profits enough from its members. Next we will be told not to use the restrooms because of lack of toilet tissue, etc.

Due to liability and safety concerns Weight Watchers has decided to incorporate the No Bare Feet policy. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. You are welcome to weigh in with your socks on or shoes if you would like. We will forward your feedback on to the appropriate team for review and consideration. Best of luck on your weight loss journey!

I was using the Weight Watchers app since I went back in March. For 3 months I went to Chicken Express and ate chicken breast which HAD been valued at 6 points. Then about the middle of May 2018 I went and got my chicken. This time I ordered fried okra. When I came home and went to look up the points for the okra, as I was scrolling down I see chicken breast (16) points not 6. Churches is 5 points. No one at my Weight Watchers meeting could explain WHAT happened... So always be cautious when using the app. It apparently changes with no warning... :( I felt as if Weight Watchers app sabotaged me... Still unhappy.

Hi, Linda, thank you for providing your feedback regarding the SmartPoints value of the chicken breast at Chicken Express. A specialist will reach out to you privately to discuss your concerns further.

Of all the weight loss programs, diets, cleanses, etc. out there, Weight Watchers, having so many years of success, should know that no 1 system works for everybody. I know there are many who are having success on this current system & that’s great! But there are still those of who had success on the old system & are struggling with this newest system. What happens when the next “new way” comes along? The fact that we only have one choice is unfair. People have various reasons for wanting to lose weight, but what all of those reasons have in common is to lose weight, keep it off, & be healthy. I’ve tried other ways of losing weight, doing it alone, store bought stuff (shakes, snacks, meal “replacements”), appetite suppressants.
Then, about 5 years ago, I became a Weight Watchers client & had almost immediate (losing a little at a time just like you’re supposed to) success with whatever program was in place at that time. Due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to discontinue the program a few months later. I've finally gotten to a point where I could rejoin & signed up just today (6/27/18). I was stunned when I noticed the drastic difference in the system & that is NOT a compliment. My starting points balance was almost 10 points less than it used to be (I weigh 10 lbs more now than I did when I joined years ago). After logging in what I have eaten so far today, I've already used all but 1 point (signed up after lunch so didn't have a chance to make choices). If this is going to be complicated, then this isn’t going to work for me.
One of the main reasons I loved Weight Watchers when I was a client previously, was I felt like it required very little thinking. Sure, I had to be mindful, but it felt simple. I also like not being restricted to only eating Weight Watchers food like some of the other programs. I liked the “cushion points” (I don’t remember what they were called). If you had a rough day & went a few points over, it wasn’t the end of the world. You didn’t quit. You either waited until the next day, started over at breakfast or if you saw you were going to go over your daily points, but hadn’t yet, then you had those cushion points to get you back on track in time for the next meal.
I only signed up for this new program a few hours ago, but the anxiety from seeing I have already used all of my points is overwhelming. I don’t always have time every day to spend trying to strategize meals. It’s food which is essential fuel for the body. I don’t want to feel like I’m calculating the landing of the space shuttle. What I am asking is for clients to be given more than one option. Whether it’s Smart Points, Points Plus, Freestyle, whatever. We chose Weight Watchers from all of the other available weight loss/diet programs. Give us the choice of which points system works for each of us.

Erin, thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback to us regarding your experience with our Weight Watchers Freestyle program. We truly apologize for any frustrations or inconveniences you've had and would be happy to reach out to you to further discuss your concerns. I like the free style diet. It makes it so easy to follow. I'm loosing very slowly, but I guess that's good. The snacks make it easy to have those "crunchy snacks" and sweet fixes. I'm keeping at it though.

Although I am losing weight on WW Freestyle (20 lbs in 12 weeks at 68 years old), I question the science behind the allocation of points to food. For example, why does Key Lime Pie have 22 points but Apple pie has 16 points even though the stats for both desserts are very similar. I don’t want to be overcharged for a rare splurge. I find the plan very restrictive. They advertise that you can eat whatever you want, but you can’t. One piece of pizza is 50% of daily points!

Weight Watchers food and activity trackers help me accurately stay accountable to myself for my weight reduction goals. It's easy and fast and continues to improve over time. With the food tracker and points values, there is no "fooling yourself" that this food can't be so bad. You look up the points, you know. When I first started (this time), early on, I "ate first and looked up later" only to be shocked by some point values. I quickly learned it's better to look up in advance, decide if it's what I really want, and then plan accordingly.
I love the new Freestyle program and zero-point foods. I especially appreciate chicken, fish and eggs. It's reassuring to know I can always eat something, if I feel I really need to, and still be "on the program. I definitely take advantage of "free" fruits and veggies, too. I'm about 8 weeks in now, and my progress is slow but steady (about 1 lb per week). But I'm mastering the program, and upping my activity and fitness level, and I know if I stick with the program, it will work. I know it works because twice before in my life I have lost about 40 lbs with Weight Watchers. This time, I'm committed to staying with it and keeping off that weight. I miss a week. Then if I can't go the next Sunday I miss 2 weeks or I have to miss 2 more weeks. Almost impossible to make a commitment if there is no flexibility on the weekends.

Thank you for proving your feedback regarding weighing-in at your meeting location, Raphael. A specialist will reach out to you privately to discuss this situation further. We're here to help!

I was able to join Weight Watchers as a NYC doe employee so I paid a reduced rate. That was my incentive to give it a try. So far I have lost 10 pounds in a period of about 2 months. The fact that you can eat whatever you want as long as you adhere to the quantity of points you are allotted makes it easy, especially on weekends when It can be more challenging. There is minimal deprivation and sometimes you don’t actually feel like you are dieting. Seeing the weight come off is the best incentive to keep going. I have almost achieved my goal and I would recommend this diet to everyone. Once you psyche yourself to stick to the diet the rest is easy!

WW has helped me be more mindful of healthy choices. Weekly meetings and food journals assist and encourage me to stay on track. The WW app is helpful, however, needs improvement in tracking activity points. After a four year “leave of absence” (and 30+ lbs), I’ve managed to lose 7 lbs. in 3 1/2 weeks. I’m 70 years old, fairly active with Tennis twice a week and two days a week at the gym with a personal trainer. My goal is to lose at least 25 more pounds. The staff has been very helpful. Go me!

I needed to lose weight. I was very heavy and that was not good for my health in the least. So, I decided to go back to Weight Watchers. I had done it in the 90s and lost a considerable amount but then slacked off and just ate more than I should. Now I am back, but it is way better. I just use the online app and with the scanner and restaurant choice I can make better decisions. I also do not lose weight too fast and I never am hungry. So yes, I would recommend it to anyone. It is a realistic diet for our busy age.

They are all about the money. I tried the new plan hoping to help with some medical problems. I tried program for 2 weeks faithfully. Didn't lose weight, and food on that didn't go with the things I needed. I wrote them for a refund and explained my situation, they said no. Had to stay in the 3 months. Make sure you know it's for you. 72 hours is not long enough to figure it. I use to love Weight Watchers, but now they are about the money, not the client. Hope this helps.

I lost 14 lbs up until December of 2017. That is when Weight Watchers changed the plan to Freestyle. Since Freestyle I have lost no weight. This is because Weight Watchers does not tell you the truth about food points (calories). You are allowed to eat 10 chicken breasts if you are satisfied. Well obviously you can't eat that much and then expect to lose weight. But Weight Watchers takes your money and tells you that you will lose if you follow the program. If that is so then why did my coach and other lifetime Weight Watchers members tell me they gained weight when they started the new program? I will tell you why. They had to adjust what they eat to their specific needs. In other words they tailored the program for themselves.
They ate according to the new Freestyle method but they gained weight. So if they gain weight how are the rest of us supposed to lose? You can't. Weight Watchers is telling members that we need to make up our own food plan. In other words adjust what you are eating not to the Weight Watchers Freestyle plan but to your own adjustment. So why does anyone need to pay Weight Watchers if they have to make their own tailored individual plan? You don't. Weight Watchers used to be a good program but they no longer are. They are forcing you to eat the food they want you to eat. These foods are on the ZERO POINTS food list. Yes good foods.
But even if that is what you want to eat you had better restrict your intake not to feeling satisfied but to feeling like you can't eat to feel satisfied. Weight Watchers now expects the member to tailor their own program. I for one don't need to pay for that. It is no a easy program to use. You have to give it a lot of thought and planning as to what you are going to eat. It used to be that you followed the program to the word and you lost weight. That is no longer the truth regarding Weight Watchers Freestyle weight loss program. My advice is to not lie to your members and make them think they will lose weight by just following the program. You will not lose weight unless you tailor the program for yourself. That is not what we are paying for! And I was told to weigh and measure everything I ate. That is not the program! THAT IS NOT WHAT I AM PAYING FOR! WAKE UP WEIGHT WATCHERS!

We appreciate the time you've taken to provide us with your feedback. One of our Resolution Team Specialists will reach out to you shortly.

On March 1, 2018, I received an online offer from WW. I signed up while I was at work (I am a teacher, so I was a bit distracted and probably should have waited!), when I tried to log in to use the online points tracker, it was not as convenient as I had hoped. I decided after seeing the actual layout, that the online tracking just isn't for me right now. When I tried to go into the account to cancel online later that same day, it said I would owe a cancellation fee. I called right away and explained the situation, the representative did not seem to understand, or maybe did not want to cancel my subscription.
Finally I asked for a supervisor and was told that no one was available at the moment and I would receive a callback. I reluctantly agreed and told the rep that I wanted the plan canceled and my $ refunded in the meantime. I never received a callback and to be honest, I forgot about it for a bit, I'm a single mom and have many other things to take care of at home, work, etc. I have no time to plead with someone on the phone who is not empathic to the situation.
Anyway, I did not realize that WW had continued to take the monthly fee for a few months. When I reviewed my debit card statement I discovered that each month (March-June) since I made the cancellation request the fee had still been taken. It came out on different dates which is why I guess I didn't notice it. I immediately contacted WW again and got another very unhelpful rep that was only interested in trying to retain my $/business.
When I finally became angry and threatened a complaint, I was told to go online to cancel the subscription (which I couldn't even get logged in, had to change the password and waste time) to make sure no further payments would come out. When I followed those instructions it charges a cancellation fee!!! I chosen the option to cancel my plan at the end of the term without being charged, even though it was not the option I wanted. Then I contacted my debit card company to file a dispute to recoup my $ from Weight Watchers. It's a lengthy process, and I shouldn't have to wait for my $ to be returned. I was not able to use any of the services that I have been charged for! I want my $ returned. Weight Watchers is supposed to help people, not take their $ and cause stress!

We sincerely apologize for your experience with canceling your account, Shari! A specialist will reach out to you privately to offer a resolution for this issue. We're here to help!

I am very pleased with the program, am losing weight steadily and I always have enough to eat as it is easy to determine healthy foods to eat and still lose weight. I have lost weight every week for eight weeks even though I splurged a couple of times. That is incredible to me. Yea! Suggestion: I would suggest a short introductory meeting for new participants, I did not know what to expect in the meetings such as; what awards are presented ex. 4 weeks, 10 lbs. lifetime, what topics should not be discussed in a meeting like potential health effects of unrefined sugar crystals, stevia, agave sweetener, aspartame, etc. Ideas for recipes with very common ingredients would be welcome to me. Most of the recipes have ingredients I would never have on hand and that is discouraging from using them. Overall I am thrilled with the program and the phone app for tracking. Weight Watchers is truly the only sustainable way to lose and manage weight. It's not a fad, there are no supplements, no need to have a list of CAN'T EATS. It's so easy to prepare regular food that the entire family can enjoy. WW teaches members how to be more aware of the foods we eat and the portion sizes. Those following the plan can pretty much eat what they want - they just count it and make trade offs when there's a special meal occasion or treat. It's a lot like a bank account - there are a certain amount of points to spend. If you want something special, you just cut somewhere else.

I love Weight Watchers and the way the organization works. My teacher/lecturer is wonderful. The intake/weigh in people are kind and thoughtful. The new Freestyle system is a winner. The fact that my smart phone does all the work and keeps track is phenomenal! I've given 5 stars only for these reasons. If I were to give stars for the actual meeting place, I would give a 1 (one) star rating. Our meeting room is in a mostly abandoned strip mall. There is no public restroom. Our space butts up and shares a wall with a karate studio. We hear screams and the walls and floors shake with each karate movement. There are so many spaces here in town that could be used. I don't understand how this has been allowed to go on as a representation of your fine organization.

This is my second go round with Weight Watchers, the last being 12 years ago. I found WW to be very useful than in meeting my weight control goals and I am having a similar experience now. And the program has been tweaked since 2006 to make it even better. As a primary care physician, I know that evidence-based studies have shown that WW has the best track record of any of the commercial weight loss companies in producing sustained weight control. It works because the folks at WW understand the essentials of nutrition, physiology, and psychology to put together a program where people can eat regular food and overcome the emotional challenges involved weight loss. It is the only commercial weight loss program that I have ever recommended as a health care professional. I love WW.

Overall very pleased. Sometimes there are certain identical foods, but different postings on point assignment. This can be frustrating. There are still some major restaurant chains not listed and it then becomes a guessing game. Other than these two aforementioned issues, the site is excellent in structuring a nutritional weight loss program.

Hoping to lose weight this time around on WW. I tried in the past & didn't stick with it. Lost 65 pounds on my own before without ww. I like the app. I wish I could also plan my day ahead with it & make changes as I make different choices. But the app crashes if I do that. I also wish I could save daily weights to get an idea of what works for me but the app stopped allowing me to do that.
I wish I could enter a meal & then when I got full eating half that I could enter half the points! And save other half for later or next day when I actually eat it. I wish I didn't start at lowest daily points because I always do & it is super hard to experiment & try new things with so few points. I love the connect section so inspirational, educational, and supportive. I wish I could more easily watch older connect with Oprah videos or search to rewatch faves. Lost 4 lb in 2 weeks. Starving in an active week 3.

I have been through so many incarnations of Weight Watchers over the years beginning as far back as 1981 (that plan, while restrictive, still worked the best). And yes, I have regained the weight when I stopped following the program - that is my fault. When we started up again in March of 2017 with Smart Points it took another adjustment, but my husband and I did quite well. He actually reached his goal and I lost 46 pounds. Then along came "Freestyle" - the most horrible program ever for someone trying to lose weight. All these so-called "free" foods still contain calories, some as much or more than healthy foods like nuts and avocados that are really unfairly penalized for their fat content, but are actually better for you than a tub of Greek yogurt.
The result - I have gained back 15 pounds and my husband, who (unlike me, who has given up for now) still tracks diligently, while staying well within his points, has also gained 5 lbs and is now over his goal weight, and therefore, avoids going to weigh in. We are discouraged and have become erratic about attending meetings (which we generally find encouraging and helpful). No-one becomes overweight because they have such amazing control over their food choices. Offering all this "freedom" does nothing except ALLOW you to continue to eat too much, because it is so-called "Free". You can eat 5,000 calorie a day quite easily on "free" foods. Yes, I have proved it can be done - once!!! That is completely ridiculous. The Weight Watchers plan needs to be structured, to teach you limitation and change in lifestyle, and then help you maintain structure once you achieve goal.
THAT would encourage continuing. From my perspective, the Freestyle program does none of that and also discourages carb/fat/protein balance by strongly penalizing certain healthy fats and carbohydrates and pushing too much protein. Your body needs ALL these nutrients. Additionally, satiety must be factored in. I actually adore good food, and am not driven by French fries, burgers, and ice cream, but even this does not help with this program. Extremely disappointed in Weight Watchers at this time. Once they had integrity, but this free for all (ad shows people drinking and eating ice cream - fine, I have the occasional glass of wine, but the ad just encourages the lifestyle that got you fat in the first place). Ugh!

Weight Watchers works, there’s no doubt about that. The problem is that I rejoined thinking it was as it had been, which couldn’t be less true. It has completely changed. As a Points Plus user it took forever to get my recipes run through their recipe builder to calculate the points. Now they changed their system and all of those numbers are now obsolete. The last time that I was a member you had a choice of which plans, now you do not, so you either learn the new way, or the site is useless. I went cancel within five minute of joining when I realized this isn’t something I want to relearn, but you can’t reverse your purchase, just cancel the autorenewal feature.
Also new website doesn’t seem anywhere near as useful to me as the old one, and kept crashing while I was checking it out. Even crashed two minutes into talking with their online chat person, so that wasn’t of much use either. Very disappointing experience. If you are a new user, you may like it, but don’t get attached to the system. I’m sure they will make it obsolete by the time you go to use it again.
