I have had a good 5 weeks. The freestyle program is working for me! I’m down 6 pounds! I like the app, recipes and online support! I have learned to make better eating choices. I can find foods who have low points and exercise regularly.

I joined WW for the first time in 2015 (I think). I rejoined because I gained 50lbs and I want to see myself in the mirror again and I wanted to look good naked lol. Since January 18th, I have lost 14.3 lbs. I LOVE it. I’m in love with app and the community. I get inspired everyday reading the post from the other people going through what I currently through and seeing the the success stories. I have a little ways to go to get to my goal weight of 140 but I KNOW I will get there. SW: 190

I joined over a month ago. I only wanted to lose about 5 pounds and I have managed to do it. I only attended two meetings due to family conflicts. I have been using the APP on the phone and it is great. It helps me plan my meals intelligently instead of eating whatever looked good in the grocery store. Now that I reached my goal, I decided to try to lose a few more pounds.

I have been struggling with thyroid disease and its side effects for over five years. I have been trying to lose weight on my own, but wasn’t able to sustain any of the diets or pills my doctor suggested. My sister-in-law recommended WW and it is working. I am down 13 pounds since the first of the year and have not felt like I am on a diet. This is a way of living. I can do this.

I started WW a little over 2 months ago. I find it an easy plan to follow. I love the app and my ability to scan bar codes. I love the accountability the workshops and weigh-ins offer. I've lost 11 pounds, 9 to go. I can't really pinpoint why WW isn't making the money it has been other than to say, in the workshops there are few women under the age of 40 and very few men.

I have been a satisfied customer since May 30 2018. Unfortunately January 19 I was charged $89.90, January 31 charged $21.67, February 1 29.95, March 29.90. That is $89.90 overpayment. I contacted WW several times. If I wasn’t accomplishing my goal I would have quit. Every week I go to my meeting and am embarrassed by them telling me I am not a member. After researching they find me. My daughter also has the same problem.

I was tired at first but slowly I have gain enough energy to go daily to the gym. There are days that I can't get up from bed due to body pain but with plenty of vegetables and fruits and following the program I am feeling much better, I am losing weight and I have more energy. My only problem is craving for bread otherwise it is great.

WW is a fabulous program and I have been very successful using the new Freestyle point system. I rated the program a 4 because there are a lot of things I cook that must be put in one item at a time. It’s especially difficult when going out to eat because I do not eat at chain/fast food restaurants. Trying to be accurate with points under those circumstances is exhausting.

Why did you "reimagine" something that was working? Now the company is losing money hand over fist. Keto is blamed. Did you ever wonder why? Keto is about losing weight. Maybe WW should "re-reimagine" themselves again. FB is awash with people quitting left and right over the changes. Putting the Divine Miss O out there is not going to help. In fact it will only hurt. Get real people who have succeeded, are succeeding. Drop so many celebrities. Real people telling real stories... losing more than 25 lbs. There is a woman in my meeting who has lost, and maintained, 130 lbs! Tell her story!

So far after 3 weeks, I'm very happy that I gave WW a second chance. I was on it previously a few years ago and was doing well but the program changed and I didn't like the changes. After seeing a review of the newest program in an article ranking the best weight loss programs/diets I rejoined. I just hope it doesn't change again anytime soon or if it does, give people the option of doing the program that best works for them.

It just doesn’t feel restrictive. I love the added weekly points and lose even when I use them all! I am a retired RN and have read and studied a lot on obesity. I sincerely believe each body reacts differently to foods. For me, carbs quickly add fat while protein helps loss. The free veggies and fruits keep me from eating sugary treats. My husband keeps asking, “Can you eat that on your diet?” #1 I’m not on a diet! #2 I can eat anything I want to, but the points will count!

Every time the app is exited it has to "reload" and this is quite annoying. It is easy to hit the back button too many times and exit the app. (Please see my previous point.) The App should mirror your website in layout more showing Weight, Points, Activity as those are the things I am most often checking. Lastly when using Fitpoints the Weekly points are not shown and make it hard to see your point totals. Once again, I am still very happy and with these updates my experience would be even better. All the fat free sugarfree fake foods. I don't like that about WW. I don't want to eat junk. What difference does it make if its WW... junk is junk. Weight Watchers is a huge company that grosses an enormous amount of money. Yet has excluded the disabled population. There is NOT one group for disabled people within Weight Watchers online. Losing weight is just not counting points and automatically losing weight. That’s a misconception what Weight Watchers has put out there. That’s not real. Provisions and chat groups should be made for people who are disabled. People who can do less physically and lose weight slower if at all activity need the help to lose weight also and have been excluded from Weight Watchers Online Groups completely. There are NONE, shame on Weight Watchers.

I read over all of the packages that were offered. I only needed the points calculator and phone app. No coaching, no meetings, etc. At the time, there was a clear promotion of the first 6 months free. I wish I would have taken a picture of it. What sounds too good to be true was. My husband was looking through our online checking after having his identity compromised and ran across a charge for 19.95. Neither one of us had any idea what this way. Found out from the bank that it was WW. He called and I was in disbelief that I was getting ripped off! This is supposed to be a credible company that I had such success with in the past and thought so highly of. I called to cancel and was told that it would cost me 39.95 to cancel. Milton told me it was in the fine print.

No wonder this company is losing tens of millions of dollars. I can't think of a better definition of deceptive trade practices. I am not one to write negative reviews for any company but this is just plain theft. As I read through all of the other reviews, it seems everyone else is having the same issue that I am. I sincerely hope someone takes notice of the mess that has been created by "the fine print". What a shame to give Weight Watchers such a horrible reputation...

I just wanted to make a comment about WW as a brand and that is I find it to be unhelpful in inspiring me to lose weight. WW is about making money, that's all. Decades ago they used to focus on the individual not her purse. If you lost weight you didn't pay for the meeting, if you gained or didn't lose, you paid. Now it's about money, not people.

I joined December 29th 2018 and have experienced the most horrendous client satisfaction practices. I recall they automatically deduct your account monthly. However I called yesterday to let them know I'm cancelling, effective immediately. After being told I can't cancel I was offered a free month. I, like the previous review I simply want OUT. I was told, "WE TRIED TO DEDUCT FROM YOUR TODAY, FUNDS WERE NOT AVAILABLE. WE WILL CONTINUE 6 MORE TIMES-EVERY 4 DAYS TO DEDUCT OUR $40." This shady practice is not included in the fine print and my Consul assures me it's unethical in the least.

How is WW getting away with doing business this way? Many years ago I was a member and enjoyed the program. Now I'm on Atkins and doing quite well. I see WW stock took a dive this week. I wonder why. Seems changing your name to WW does not create fair policies, mastering technology or attempts at client retention. I will deny the charge when they try again on Monday 3/4. I'm in agreeance with the woman who suggested they allow the FREE month as a "Cancellation fee of $60".

Biggest rip off ever! I cancelled my account in December. Apparently when I did that online I was given the option to take 2 months free, not sure why I’d agree to that since the new program wasn’t working for me. But they say I did. Checked my email today and I was charged 44.95 for a month. I called and spoke with both customer service and a manager who both refused to refund my money because I was 1 day into the cycle, 1 day. I haven’t used WW or anything associated with it in at least 3 months but they are going to keep my money because they trick their customers into memberships even when they are trying to cancel.

When the manager called me I asked to receive a call the next day because I was putting my child down to sleep. She told me she needed a few minutes. A few minutes? I’m putting my child down to sleep, what don’t you understand about that at 8:30 pm? What a joke. I will NEVER EVER recommend WW or any of its products to anyone and I will forever share this story of the rip off that happened to me to anyone I know whoever mentions WW or their products. WW lost a customer over $$44. I signed up for the 3 month deal. I did not know they did auto renewals and was charged today. I called once I got off work and finished my doctors appointment and they refused to offer me a refund, but I was offered a free month when I went to cancel online!!! I let them know I just wanted to be rid of this, and I did not want a free month! Like if I’m being offered a free month, why not give me my money back!? I canceled my account as that was all the man from customer service could apparently do for me. And his manager called me back and was just as useless with helping me. He was kinda a jerk but the lady was nice, but just clueless to help. I got the runaround when I asked to speak to the supervisor's manager. I was told they close at 9:00 pm central time, well I called at 8:00 pm central time so why can’t someone speak to me!?

I received NO receipt besides that provided on my account saying I was charged. I’m disputing the charge with my bank, but they told me it would take almost 2 weeks to dispute it with them and it would be faster with the vendor (WW). I don’t have a problem going through my bank but honestly this is freaking ridiculous! I could see if this was a week or 2 later. I’m calling on the DAY I was charged for the unknown amount that they essentially HIDE from you and then tell you that because you didn’t know they would charge you and you didn’t call the day before you must pay the amount.

I never even received an email or an app alert other form of communication to tell me that my original subscription had ended and if If I don’t take action I’ll be charged. Okay if you auto renew that’s fine, BUT TELL ME! Like seriously $44 a month to go to a meeting???? Because if you’re charging the $44 for the app that’s ridiculous when you have MyFitnessPal and other fitnesses apps out there that TELL YOU where you are with your goals and such!

And the GAG is if you are smart instead of STEALING $44 from me, if you had let me keep my regular plan/or asked 1. You could’ve kept me on a different plan in my budget so even if I had a $20 plan, in 3 months YOU’VE WON or 2. I would’ve been okay with the $44 charge. but you’d rather take $44 rather than have a LOYAL customer!? Even If you charged me $20 a month after a year that’s $240 YOU'RE literally profiting by like $200 but by doing this you’d have to steal $44 from approx 6 people who all don’t repost you BUT you lose customers. I’m exhausted and disappointed. At the end of my trial I WANTED to stay. I planned on switching to the just app program because I never made the meetings, but this was LAME!

I started using WW 54 years ago! (I'm 68, my mom got me going as a teen.) I truly loved WW once I got the program down. And, if followed, it works. However I'm one of those who converts recipes to WW a lot (have about 50 homemade standards I use, and have calculated and re-calculated to exact points each time the program changed). Here's my issue. WW stayed the same for years, then started this MUCH too frequent habit of changing the program for, what I feel, are mostly PR moves (free press with each new change).

At first I did all the hard work involved in re-calculating all my recipes, my MANY-page personal and detailed 'Frequently Used Points' list, and etc. I got fed up with the changes and have never moved beyond the Points PLUS program, and never will. WW changes the points values on their store-bought products (which mean having to convert all of them too) and WW recipe books change and it is simply much too much. So if you will never create your own paperwork/recipes/etc, then WW could very well be for you. You could start this new Freestyle, yet be prepared. It will change and you will have to re-learn a whole new program.

I feel bad, in some ways, to give a bad review but I, and MANY OTHER, long term loyal followers have finally HAD IT with all the changes. It may bring in new folks, but over time (as I feel is happening now) many more of us loyal long-term folks are saying 'ENOUGH!' and bailing, as we do not feel supported anymore. If I had the money, I would have a cook make all those changes, but I'm on my own.

I joined WW January 5 2019 for 3 months digital paid for in Jan. I was informed if I lost 10 pounds I would get 2 months free. Well I lost 10 pounds in less than 3 weeks filled out proper forms. I also referred a friend which is another free month. Well Feb the free referral was used. I call to see if they received my forms NOTHING. Why does it take 4 weeks for WW to receive an email. Oh it gets better now. They are telling me I still have to pay for March and April which means it’s not really free. Adding the free months on the end I paid for 3 months. I didn’t want to do this program for long. THREE MONTHS NOT 5.

I also referred another person and I sent the invite to a friend. She observed that it was cheaper to go straight to WW site. $13.05 mine was 19.00. REALLY I didn’t get the credit. I am so over this. Instead of concentrating on weight loss we gotta worry about getting ripped off. I have talked with about 5 customer service agents. I really believe a computer responds to our complaints. CAN’T WAIT TO CANCEL. Don’t even want the free months at this point. I hope others read these reviews before joining. I will not ever refer anyone.

I can't believe such a well known and used service could offer such a terrible customer experience when you need help. I just called WW's 800 number. I was not able to effectively communicate with the representative who took my call. I received an email from Kohl's regarding a 50% off promotion. In order to use it, the rep said that she would have to cancel my account and I would have to start over again. This doesn't make any sense to me. The promotion also calls for a "starter fee" which I don't think should apply given the fact that I am a current member in good standing for over 6 months. I want to just apply this promotion to my current account, get billed a little less for a period of time and go on with life.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and the rep kept telling me she was going to cancel my account. I told her several times NOT TO CANCEL the account and only get the supervisor on the phone. She informed me that the supervisor is busy on other calls and he can call me at a determined time. I suggested 1 pm eastern and after she supposedly checked with the supervisor about his availability, told me that it is already after 1 pm where she is. I explained that EASTERN time should be enough for the supervisor to decide what time he should call me - I don't know where the call center is located and can only propose a time based on my location. I hope this is a just one rep who slipped through the cracks and that everyone who works for WW not as hard to work with and seemingly ignorant. It shouldn't be this difficult to get a clear and logical answer or helpful assistance from the SUPPORT department.

I cancelled my subscription within the 5 day free cancellation time... Or so I thought I did. Only to find out that it didn't actually cancel at all. I then went in and cancelled again!!! Only to find out that I could sign up to cancel at the end of the 6 months or cancel for $40! I chose the $40 because the 6 months would have cost more in the long run but I shouldn't have paid anything!!! It is probably because I joined for free that there was a "glitch" in the system when I tried to cancel for free too. Now I have been trying all day to get a hold of someone and there is no way to contact anyone to discuss the issues.

I signed up for the 3 mos + 1 free. You can’t cancel within 2 months or else you get charged an EARLY TERMINATION FEE. That means you only have one month in which to cancel! I did not know they did auto renewals and was charged at 4 am today. I called 6 hours later and they refused to offer me a refund, but tried to offer me another free month. I let them know I just wanted to be rid of this, and I did not want a free month. If you’re going to offer me a free month, why can you not just give me my refund as it’s an equal value? I’m assuming it is to trick people into parting with even more of their money... I canceled my account as that was all the woman from customer service could apparently do for me.

Given that I received NO receipt besides that provided by my PayPal account and therefore no detailed information about the charging practices I called back to ask for a breakdown of this $44 charge. The man I spoke to was very RUDE. Instead of explaining the charge to me he spoke to me as if I was dumb and walked me through going on the website to read the terms myself! Giving me orders to click through several things.

I disputed the charge on my PayPal account, but this is ridiculous (especially given the MANY complaints) they clearly receive regarding this practice “for your convenience”. I never even received an email or other form of communication to tell me a) my original subscription had ended and if I’d like to sign up for another subscription (because one month is the WORST deal) or b) that I would soon be charged for a one month fee. Literally every other auto renewal I’ve had at least informs the victim (I mean customer...) that the charge would be coming.

Lastly, the customer service center is as all others have said a joke. They virtually cannot help you and fill the call with blabber. There are several voices heard throughout the background and there is some type of communications disconnect between caller and representative for help trying to find a solution. And as I said the second CS rep treated me as if I was a moron which was extremely unappreciated. All these replies from WW say they are contacting the reviewers for a solution... Have any of the reviewers actually received a solution though? 0 stars, will NEVER sign up again. Wish I knew what I know now about this company.

I signed up for 6 months, and knew within a week or so it wasn’t for me. I went online and cancelled. Or so I thought. I got a message when exiting that I could leave it as is until the end of whatever billing cycle we were in would finish. So no changes were to be made, I could use it till whatever date, and then it would be canceled. I found out yesterday that they’ve been billing me for 22.95 each month anyway. The person I spoke to yesterday said there was no record of me cancelling. And first she said my 6 months expires in March and then she said that automatic billing had set in after a certain point (6 months) expired. Sigh!!!

I said that these sort of billing practices are no longer practiced by most reputable organizations (i.e., not cool!), and that as a gesture of good faith they should refund at least part of my money. She seemed to understand what I was saying, and got that it wasn’t cool, but would not offer me any kind of compensation. I had had a long day and didn’t ask for a supervisor, I should have.

Suffice it to say, this is almost like a scam. Automatic billing, difficult to reach people, difficult to get a straight answer, and difficult to cancel? Doesn’t seem like good business practices, and if WW is so great and reputable why would they need to act like this? Brings the whole system into question in my view. I’m pretty unhappy.

    Original Review: Feb. 18, 2019

In November, like many others here, I signed up for a 6-month long-term commitment plan with the first month free. When I went to log in and get started, I couldn’t access my account. I tried every password I’ve ever used, and none worked. I emailed customer service. They replied informing me of my username. Still no password. I finally found a change password link, and logged into my account with my new password. It was a free account, asking me to sign up to access the features. I could not use SmartPoints or access any paid features.

I checked emails and there was no email confirming that I had signed up for anything - just an email thanking me for creating an account. Okay, I thought, apparently I just created an account and didn’t actually go through with signing up. Excellent! I didn’t miss out on my free month after all! Then the charges started rolling in. I was charged $20 each for December and for January. I quickly emailed customer service expressing my understandable frustration at having been charged for an account I had no access to. I explained that when I logged in, I had no access to SmartPoints. Since I had derived no benefit, I requested a refund for the 2 months I had not been able to access my account.

A rep responded telling me that I had purchased the 6-month long-term commitment plan and that the monthly charge was $20. She also mentioned that if I cancelled early I would be charged $40. There was no offer of a refund for a wasted two months with no access to the features I was paying for. I replied telling them that I had been unable to access the account mentioned, and asked if I could at least have the $40 refunded to make up for my $40 wasted on months I couldn’t even use.

A different rep responded, with a very similar message, only informing me again that I had subscribed to the 6-month long term commitment plan and would be charged $40 for canceling early. The rep told me they could not waive any cancellation fee, and didn’t even reply to my concern about the $20/month when I had not been able to access the website.

When I responded, I asked that they please provide a refund for my wasted months when I was unable to access my account, and to please cancel my subscription because I did not want to continue to use the service. I couldn’t even access it, anyway. I said that if they did actually charge me $80 for a service I was unable to use, they would never have me as a customer again. They proceeded to charge me the full $80. Unless I receive a refund, I will never use Weight Watchers again.

Awesome, I will sign up for the $13.31 for 3 months. I did this all under the SAME account. Life of course got busy for the last two months and to my dismay Weight Watchers has been charging me $19.95 and $13.31 each month.

I called customer service in which they just told me, "You signed up for two plan under the same account." Why, would anyone sign up for the two exact same plan at a different cost under the same amount? Furthermore, why did my Weight Watchers account not show I had two plans and why did they keep charging me the $19.95? This is terrible. I have paid about $100 over the last two months for Weight Watchers. I feel betrayed and cheated by this company.

WW asked me for a credit card number which I did not enter. I didn’t realize I was required to enter a credit card when I just paid $132.60. The next week, the WW coach said I was required to enter a credit card even though I had already paid in full.

I logged into WW again when I got home from work, but this time I entered my Citibank credit card. WW said the card was invalid three times. Each time I checked the numbers and the numbers were correct. I use this card with no problems at least once a week online. When I contacted Citibank, they said it was the WW website. I emailed WW numerous times with no resolve. Someone from WW would reply to emails, but never replied again. So, here I am four weeks into WW with no access to Smart Points. I got online to inquire as well and sent an email then received an email stating if I don’t cancel my next month will be free. I insisted on speaking with a supervisor, I was told all of them were in a meeting. I’ve worked in a call center and know how they work, they are trained to do what they can to not escalate the call. I was put on hold and then told they were still in the meeting but I would get a callback. I kept telling her I was inquiring on cancellation, I didn’t want to cancel my account. Nothing I can do. Unbelievable. I’m contacting my bank and anyone else I can think of. This is ridiculous. I had a great view of Weight Watchers but after this, I will make sure everyone else knows how much of a scam this business is.

This company is a complete scam! I have been reading reviews for about 20 minutes and not one has been a good review... Although some reviews have 3-4 stars even if the review is a negative one...seems a little fishy to me! I really wish I would have read these reviews before losing my hard earned money! I signed up for what I thought was a "free trial month" only to be told before the end of my so called "free trial" that I had signed up for 6 months (with the first month being "free") at approximately $45 per month after the "free month". I tried Weight Watchers about 20 years ago and had great results... This new plan sucks!

I tried to cancel my subscription online and read they would charge me $65 cancellation fee so, I called and told them that I had only signed up for the 1 month free trial and of course the foreign man on the phone basically told me that I was incorrect in thinking I only signed up for a "free month". He acted as if I were crazy for thinking such a thing! They along with many other scandalous companies deceive the consumer who is unaware of their devious and unethical practices! And by the way Weight Watchers, I know one of your henchmen will write back to me saying that you will have someone follow up with me to resolve this matter. Please don't bother! I am going to inquire about getting an attorney or possibly contact an investigative team from a local news station to look into this matter and make this a more public affair and possibly start a civil lawsuit! Shame on you!!!

Please note that your account will remain active and will automatically renew until you contact us to cancel".

Today 2/6/2019, I phoned to cancel and the customer service person did not understand and kept telling me that my membership was cancelled in December 2018. She could not understand 2 free months. She had a very thick accent and barely spoke English so I don't know how to be certain what she understood, because I barely understood her even after several repeats. I want my membership cancelled simple as that. Please reply. You have horrible customer service. I guess Oprah doesn't care as long as you keep charging accounts and her pocket keeps growing. In early November 2018 I tried to cancel my subscription to Weight Watchers online. I was offered 2 months for free if I was interested and when I agreed, I was told online to cancel by today (February 6, 2019) to avoid being charged. I even wrote it in my diary to cancel by today. Today when I went to cancel my subscription online, I noticed that I was charged $44.95 yesterday (February 5, 2019). I called the live agent phone number and tried to explain to the agent the situation. She kept telling me that there was no 2 month offer online and then that I did not cancel by January 28, so that is why I was charged yesterday. It does not make any sense that they offer and give a date to cancel by & then charge before that date.

I had difficulty understanding the agent when I was speaking to her. I requested the agent put me through to a manager that could process the issue I was having. The agent continually repeating the same answer, without regard to my explanation, was beyond frustrating. She kept telling me she could cancel my subscription today and then I would not be charged in March. They left me on hold for 5 minutes, saying they were sourcing a manager and then said that all the managers were busy, and then repeated what she had said over and over already.

I had intended to cancel and restart in the spring when I could have my children in care and concentrate on myself, but now I am really disappointed that this is how Weight Watchers conducts their business and fraudulently charges credit cards before the dates they say they will. I would like the $44.95 returned to my credit card, because I don't intend to continue with Weight Watchers. I did not attend any meetings last year and I still paid the monthly fee without any argument. It is fraudulent to offer something and then charge before the agreed date. I am considering contacting my bank to report a fraudulent credit card charge.

Updated on 02/11/2019: This is a follow up to an earlier complaint about Weight Watchers and their practice of automatically renewing unsuspecting customers and stealing money directly from their accounts. After contacting customer service and filing a formal complaint, the company returned a month of what they stole...44.95 out of the 218 that they stole from my account was returned. I am unsatisfied with this result. STAY AWAY from weight watchers! You absolutely should not give them access to your account because they will continue to debit funds from your account long after you complete your initial membership. Untrustworthy and very difficult to get any results from repeated complaints!

Original Review: I signed up for a 3 month plan at a local Weight Watchers location. On viewing my bank statement today, I noticed a charged of 44. I immediately called and got no help. The first lady that I spoke with stated that it is their policy to Immediately renew your membership! Weight Watchers did not have my consent to automatically renew my membership after the 3 month period was up. The lady was foreign and rude. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she stated the supervisor would tell me the same thing. She also refused to give her last name. I hung up and got another person and had the exact same experience. Now I plan to resolve this issue with my bank and make sure weight watchers is totally blocked from my account because they have essentially been stealing from me for 3 months. I am a very busy teacher who 100% regrets any involvement that I had with Weight Watchers!

I signed up for a monthly pass, which was fine. I realized a number of months later that the "chat" doesn't work - and didn't for months. I later tried to get in touch with someone over the phone. I called, was put on hold, waited for long periods of time - then got someone who had no idea about the program. This happened a couple of times.

Ever since, it has been months, I tried to escalate. What didn't they do wrong. I wanted help to change to a different program, and I got conflicting messages no matter who I talked to. Someone said they changed it, I made an appt with coaching, the coach never called me - then it hadn't been changed, then I insisted I change back to the monthly pass. Now, after escalating to resolutions department, the woman passes me all over. To me no one really cares and the point of the matter is that people asking for help, often need support and compassion with these difficult issues of weight and eating, not incompetence and a complete lack of connection.

Just today after they kept saying they checked on their end about the chats, they "informed me" that chats aren't working and haven't for a while. (Why didn't they ever send some kind of correspondence?) Finally, the woman sent me an e-mail to sign up for what she offered me as 2 free months, and it was not explained clearly, and my whole account had been wiped out. It is so clear to me that the level of their help is sub par. It's damaging to someone who would like to get support. It's obvious that this is only a money making organization - unlike some of the free 12 step programs who truly want to help.

I checked my bank account today to verify my payslip deposit and noticed that WW charged me $52, today. I immediately called CS # to cancel my subscription and get a refund. Although the woman on the phone said she cancelled my account, she would not refund my money. I did not wait a week or a month to request a refund, it was merely hours of the charge hitting my account. When I asked to speak with her manager or supervisor, I immediately got "they are unavailable right now." It took several requests for her to even put me on hold to check, then after several "not availables" the CS rep came back to tell me that her supervisor asked for my information to call me back. When I asked what the supervisor's name, she would not give it to me.

I don't usually care where someone is from (background) but I happened to ask where this customer service department was located, and she said the Philippines. This is concerning because of the way I was being treated, nothing else. She never took my information, but it's all on my account, so I'm not even sure why she was asking for it. I hope to not get charged any further, but I am really hoping that someone can refund my $52. It's absurd that they will charge you and not refund all in the same day. WW will never see my business again. I'd rather be fat than use a company that is misrepresenting in every way.

Have been on WW digital plan for about 4-5 mos and decided to cancel the subscription today (I'm no longer on a contract). The billing cycle started today, which means I got charged today. When you cancel online, they offer you a 'free month'. I called to get a refund for the month they JUST charged me, and no, I don't want a free month, I just want a refund (even if prorated, although again, the charge happened today).

The CS rep that is abroad somewhere was awfully trained, very hard to understand (never have had an issue with reps in other countries before, I work with them to solve the issues) and told me they CAN'T issue a refund because I was "on a digital plan that auto-charges" and when I asked for her name, she said "we can't give out personal information". Haven't been able to speak with a supervisor. The excuses for not being able to refund in addition to the 'can't give out name' policy are ridiculous and frankly not something I would expect a company like WW to practice.

I actually GAINED weight. Foods like plain yogurt, that used to be approx. 5 points per small serving, are now zero. Or eggs, that had a significant point value, were now zero. So, I followed the new program, snacking and making meals using the “zero point” foods, and my weight didn’t budge, and actually went up. I am so mad and I will never work with Weight Watchers again. I should've read all of the reviews on Consumer Affairs as this seems to be a pattern with the company which is a huge disappointment. YOU WILL GET A CALL SERVICE IN INDIA AND IT'S AWFUL!!! I was told in December my membership was cancelled and was assured I would no longer be charged for anything. Then surprise today, January 14th, I was billed again for $49.95. After TWO calls over 30 minutes each and a "supervisor" that I asked repeatedly for and was unavailable (I think they must be fake or a ghost), I was told no one could issue me a refund and that my membership would now be cancelled in February... another month - why would anyone want that? They just said sorry the representative in December misinformed me. A mistake on their part they weren't willing to correct and now I have to choke down $50 when I don't even have money for gas.

One of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had when 1) they don't offer to fix a problem that the company caused and 2) the language barrier and lack of supervisors is ridiculous. I hope to save someone the grief I went through today. I am very unhappy that such a well known company has such terrible service. I think I'm going to cry now.

When I called customer service, the staff had me trouble shoot with them which took forever and basically told me it was my phone that was the problem. I asked for refund but was given an extension instead and told a refund was not possible. I gave it a try again hoping it was an isolated incident. The very next day the app logged me out and told me my account was not activated. I did not have the tolerance or the time to call back again. Then when my account was charged, I called and complained and asked for a refund. I was told that was not possible because the charge already went through. I even asked for a prorated amount. I really didn't care about the money, this was about a faulty product at this point.

After keeping me on the phone for 37 minutes, I was told that they would waive the early termination fee and give me a 1 month extension but not give me a refund. What kind of customer service is this??? I asked the staff, point blank, "Do you not refund money for a faulty product?" I then demanded to speak to a supervisor and told no one was available. Let me start by saying WW, like any other diet that you actually follow, does work. I have been a member for 35 years (achieved Lifetime status then backslid.) It is fairly easy to lose the weight, not so easy to keep it off. My problem with WW is that I joined in January 2018 for 6 months with the promise that if I lost 10 pounds in 2 months then would get 2 months free. I lost 20 pounds in 2 months but never got my 2 free months. When I asked about the 2 free months during this conversation, the rep said that I should have received a form when I signed up and when I lost the weight I should have brought it back in. I don't remember getting any form.

Apparently it is now too late to get the 2 free months or refund. I quit going to the meetings and did not use the online tools. After my six months I started being billed $44.95 a month. I should have canceled but I thought I might go back. My billing date was the 24th and my start date the 10th. Weight Watchers always bills a couple of weeks before your monthly date. I called today to cancel and was told that my bill date changed when they became WW and my bill date was now the 10th and the $44.95 was just taken out of my account for this month.

I asked for a refund for this month as it was just the 12th and I did not know my date had changed. The rep told me that it is not their policy to give refunds after the month started. I asked her to contact her supervisor and explain that I am a 30+ year member, and it was only the 12th and they can obviously see I had not used any part of the program in 8 months. She said the supervisor said no to the refund. I will say that when I first joined years ago, if I missed a meeting, I got a note from my Leader saying I was missed. Gone are the days where there was a personal touch. It is strictly business and all about the money with WW.

As far as Technology has come, WW should keep up with your weight loss (and they do) and give you the 2 free months or refund that they promise and you deserve. They put the burden on their customer to keep up with a piece of paper to fill out and return. I would venture to say there are a lot of people who do not get their 2 free months/refund. This long term customer will not be returning. WW has become too impersonal and all about the money.

Called to cancel my pass because the three months are up. I was on the phone with a guy named Red. I was on the phone for over 34 mins. He could not get what I was wanting to do. I had to say over and over that I wanted to cancel my monthly pass. I asked for a manager 3 times and each time I was put on hold and then he would come back and say no one was available. He would not even give me a name of anyone to speak with. It was a very frustrating experience. I was able to go online and cancel my membership. However as I tried to explain to Red my monthly pass was taken out of my account this morning and no way would he refund my money. I do not think it is fair to keep my money when my monthly pass was canceled. Thank you.

I went to a meeting and signed back up for a 3 month subscription of online and meetings. I paid the WW rep, she walked me through the setup on the app. It took my payment a second time. She said there was nothing she could do and to contact the chat in app to resolve it. Three chat sessions of explaining the issue over and over, told nothing they could do, being transferred to billing and being disconnected all 3 times, I was told to call billing in the morning. Again nothing they could do, for me to contact iTunes for my refund. So now I’m fighting with iTunes for my money. I asked WW for a callback and although I had given my registration number before, she needs it to set up a new account and tells me I’ll have to start all over setting up the app and tracking my meals. This has been very time consuming and frustrating. I wanted to lose weight, not money and time and my enthusiasm and faith is gone.

I signed up with Weight Watchers' online service in March of last year. I decided within days that I did not want the service after all. I went online and cancelled my subscription. Today, Jan 9, 2019 I saw on my year end summary of my credit card that I have been billed $19.95 every month ($199.50) since last March for the subscription. I had no idea that I still had a subscription, have received no emails, no newsletters, nothing from WW this entire past year that would lead me to conclude my subscription had not been cancelled.

I called customer service immediately and I have now been on the phone almost two hours requesting a refund of which they refuse to issue. They have basically communicated to me that it's not their problem if WW website does not process cancellations correctly. I have always thought of WW as a timeless, reliable organization that takes care of is customers and wants the best for them. Not the case. One of the 3 representatives I spoke with was patronizing and rude. One I could hardly understand because their accent was so strong. I am a frustrated customer who will never use WW again or recommend it to anyone.

It came to my attention after signing up my wife for a 3 month bundle plan that after it ran out WW kept charging her a monthly fee. She only used the plan for a month and never went back. I called to cancel the 3 month plan and was told there would be a fee. I said, "Fine. Let it run out then that's it, DON"T renew it," and left it at that. Come to find out they had been charging her for a monthly fee that was never authorized for 10 months. Called customer service and it took 30 mins. for the Rep to figure out half of what I was telling her. Being repeatedly put on hold, she finally canceled the account and told me because it was contract to renew (which was not authorized by me) that there would be no refund of unauthorized funds. I have also canceled my membership as well because of this and will advise everyone else to do the same. I will never use WW again.

I'm more than extremely disappointed with Weight Watchers Online Program. I used it for 1 day and lost $19.95. There are no refunds or personal contacts when you cancel. They are only about getting money. The online program, for myself was terrible. There is so little information about how to use the program online. At least I found it extremely difficult. One my cell phone, I had to turn off the phone in order to get the back to the main Weight Watchers site. It's like they want the money, but is so afraid to give you the entire information to utilize what you paid for.

They offered me two free months of online service, however, if you can't get all the information about the program, what's the point. I loss $19.95, which is my loss and Weight Watchers gain. There should be a way to retrieve some sort of a refund if the service is used only one day. I CANNOT RECOMMEND WEIGHT WATCHERS ONLINE! No customer service! I expected at least someone from this company to email me to see what the problem was. I expected not just an "I'm sorry to see you go," and to fill out their questionnaire as to why you're cancelling after only one day.

I have been a loyal WW member for THREE years. I have spent thousand of dollars on their products and, I like their program, but God help you if you have to update your credit card. I have spent 8 days emailing and talking to their support line, being told over and over again that the error must be on my end, only to find out today that this isn't true and there is in fact some widespread problem with people logging into the app on their phones. Their service people read from a script and it takes a lot to get them to find a new answer to your problem.

Last week, I was unable to attend my meeting or whatever it's called now because their computer also did not recognize me (after 3 years). I had to pay again and now am being double charged and still am not able to access their app, accumulate their "wins" or any of that or, most importantly, attend meetings. Even though I know the staff and have seen them weekly for Three YEARS I'm over you WW. Run, don't walk away from this program.

I never used the app (and never even logged in or even had the app on my phone) since 2017. My husband pays the bills and didn't notice. Called and asked to cancel and requested a refund since they never had my permission to charge me. Nothing. Still seeing it on my bill many months later, I called back, and lo and behold magically no record of my previous call and cancellation. On October 5, 2017 (Weight Watchers has it as 10/4/2017), I subscribed to the online subscription of Weight Watchers for $19.95. On December 7, 2017, I canceled. When a customer logs into the account and under your credentials, Weight Watchers conveniently doesn't provide the date when a customer cancels. Due to being meticulous, I documented when I subscribed and canceled. My cancellation coincides with the fact that they didn't charge me in January of 2018. Yet, starting in February of 2018, Weight Watchers without my permission and unbeknownst to me began billing again.

I had no idea my card was being charged $19.95 since that time. I only became aware of the charges when I noticed an unfamiliar charge on my card (December 4, 2018), which prompted me to call my bank and investigate. My findings rendered me surprised and livid. After gathering information, I contacted Weight Watchers and I was told billing automatically renewed after three months, which didn't make sense due to me canceling. I told Weight Watchers that I would call my bank to dispute the charges and they told me to do so. They then told me the account is canceled, which is misleading since I canceled in 2017. This is deceptive business practices and very disappointing for a so called "Reputable" company. A total of $$219.45 fleeced.

They are skewing their member participation numbers with the number of accounts.

The call center is not interested in call resolution- just numbers of call-ins and the third time I called, I was placed on hold for 27 mins before disconnected. ALL I WANT IS THE ACCOUNT CLOSED. The program has changed drastically--if you add up the average number of points given (I had around 23 daily), it only adds up to roughly 800 calories per day. I followed the diet roughly for a week and ended up with ketoacidosis. I do have health problems so perhaps this will not happen to everyone, but I just want to encourage members to listen to their own bodies and understand that this diet will NOT work for everyone and that essentially it is a VERY LOW CALORIE and LOW CARB diet: this combination, at least in some people, can cause very severe and even life-threatening health issues. Tended to be generic and personal to different social group and not like myself. Love the online version but feel it's a little too expensive.

I began WW 6 weeks ago. The Smart points System works for me. Since I only get 24 points, each point means something. I can ask myself if this food is worth the points. That has helped to keep me on track. This feels more like a life style change instead of a diet. The tracking helps me stay on track. Being able to sync my phone is also helpful. I recently joined, and even more recently quit, Weight Watchers. I purchased a three month trial of studio plus digital as I felt I could best benefit from real community connections. I was very disappointed. First, the meetings have almost nothing to do with weight loss strategies other than reminding clients to use the app. They are basically group therapy sessions led by unlicensed counselors that incorporate elements of Alcoholics Anonymous while pushing WW products. At all the sessions I attended I felt that the goal was to create permanent dependency (and long term revenue) by emphasizing the need to keep coming to meetings even after achieving the desired loss of weight.

Tracking what you eat by points teaches nothing about nutrition, and leads to classic 'weight games' as clients are taught how to stockpile points for special meals and to fill up on zero point foods throughout the day. But even lean meats and plain veggies aren't good for you when eaten to excess, and healthy eating habits can't be created by constantly checking an app on your phone. The Team Leaders tended to be patronizing and it was hard to find one that stayed on topic while providing positive encouragement. I had one woman try to shame me in front of the group for not agreeing with a negative statement she made about how I felt. Another woman spent almost the entire meeting discussing everything but WW - YouTube, how to use a smartphone cursor, promoting a member's business followed by a story about her grandma's ring.

A third leader spent the first ten minutes of her meeting selling WW merchandise, including wine glasses. Unless you elect to not receive communications, you can expect daily emails about all things WW, as well as messages from individual team leaders about meetings you missed. And trying to cancel a membership is worse than pulling teeth. You can expect to be double-talked into not canceling, and when I called they would not cancel as of that day so as to not have to issue any sort of a refund. In fact, because it was during my promo membership, I was charged an additional fee. So think long and hard about what it is you want from this for-profit weight loss company before you join.

I came back to WW since it’s the only program that’s ever worked for me, but the freestyle program has not been effective. I have held steady at my current weight, which, during the holidays, is no small task. Original Review: Dec. 13, 2018

Weight Watchers used to be a reputable company. No more. In November, 2017, I joined online. It was for a six-month membership, that included meetings with weigh-ins, and use of the app. As far as the program was concerned, I wasn't impressed. Their new thing is the "flexibility" of their point system, which allows you to eat whatever you want, but within your daily point allowance. Perhaps this works for some people, but not for me. I need to be told what I can and cannot eat. But I gave it a chance, and did lose some weight.

By May of 2018, my membership had expired (or so I thought) so I stopped attending meetings, assuming I was no longer a member. In December, 2018, while looking over my credit card statement, I noticed Weight Watchers was still billing my card. When I called the company, and asked why I was still being billed, I was told my membership was "continuous". When I informed the rep that I was told it was a six-month membership, she had nothing to say. I told her to cancel my account, and she had the nerve to try to upsell me on the membership, and then actually asked me why I was cancelling!

While it's true I didn't carefully read the contract when I joined, WW is still engaging in unethical business practices. They know full well that customers will assume they will no longer be billed after the six months (or however long the membership is supposed to be for). And in my case, why was it called a "six-month membership" if the billing continued after the six months? Even giving the company the benefit of the doubt, assuming this wasn't deliberate on their part, and was the result of incompetence, that's still no excuse. My advice is, if you're going to join, don't do it online. Go in person and pay in cash. Do not give them your credit card. Because in my case, the monetary amount was relatively small, I have decided to not file a complaint with the state attorney general's office. However, needless to say, I will never use WW again.

They are more interested in selling their products and not concerned about weight loss. This is not my first time around with Weight Watchers, I have found the focus of the meetings to be all about changes in WW and the app and not about personal weight loss struggles and concerns. Meeting focus has gone from a feeling of belonging to a group that cared to a small screen on your phone and the onslaught of new products, childish incentives ignoring the very basic reasons of why folks use this program in the first place. I have been overweight for about the past 25 years, and am currently working on losing about 110 pounds. WW has helped me in the past with teaching me how to eat better, and to watch what I eat and the portion size. I feel I am more determined now in this process, and have my mindset focused. If I don't accomplish this, my health and my way of living will continue to diminish. I am doing this and will accomplish this for me! But it will also help my children and my husband if I turn to healthier eating habits.

I want to be here for my grandkids some day, and I want to be active with my kids again - instead of sitting on the sidelines, and not wanting to be in any pictures. WW is an amazing program - you just need to follow it, and you need to read their articles, tips, and recipes EVERY DAY. I've also found some great members to follow on Connect, as well as Instagram and YouTube -- once you connect with someone, follow them, do what they do, and follow the plan - it DOES work, and WILL work :).

WW is, in my experience, the only program that encourages the participants to eat REAL food and offers recipes, online support, apps, real life coaches who have been successful working program. The community of online folks is a tremendous support. The meeting workshops are a "go to" for information and guidance during the journey. It's NOT just about dieting. It's all about getting healthy and feeling healthy. Although the primary focus for most is diet, it has evolved to much more of a whole mind & body experience. My only issue is the monthly cost for those on limited income can be a stretch. They do, however, offer special fees at times. When that happens, the cost is minimized and more affordable. I highly recommend WW.

You asked. I'm telling. But I'm not so sure you really want my opinion. After all, I'm not young, a millennial, a new mom, one who goes clubbing, which is the demographic I see WW is focusing on mostly these days. Hmmm, those aren't the folks I see packing the meetings in my local storefront. Where is your balance showing all types of members, on your ads, in your commercials, on your posters? Where is the cross section of all races, genders, Ages, yes I emphasize Ages?

As a weight loss program WW has improved, changed, updated with new medical and health research, since I first joined in 1986. Yes, that is a positive. I preferred the Beyond the Scale program of 2016-2017, to this current Freestyle program. I lost most of my weight on that program and happily I've maintained. Still not at Goal. My chosen Goal, but I'll get there. My primary concern is not with me. I have learned, changed habits and am determined to be successful for the rest of my life.

I'm most concerned with the marketing changes and push to make WW All things to All people. It's watering down the focus. I think you're trying too hard and not succeeding as you hope you would. Changing words, 'meeting' to 'workshop', 'leader' to 'coach', is just unnecessary. It shows you're buying into the whole PC culture. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I am not pleased with the lack of communication to the online community v those who attend meetings, when changes are implemented. It leaves people in the dark, often confused, which leads to anger. Send out emails, post notices on your site.

Your IT team leaves a lot to be desired. The app isn't so great. There are issues with Connect. It isn't as user-friendly and simple as it could be. I'm not a fan of the new Groups feature, as it segregates people and important comments by posters in those specific Groups, can't be seen by the general populace. You're further complicating what should be a simple system. The bigger you go, the messier it becomes. Focus! It's a weight loss company. That's what Jean Nidetch envisioned, started, cultivated. It's worked for years, don't wreck it. Your censorship rules are either confusing or secretive, can't easily be found online anymore. Why do you allow some things and not others to be posted? And for goodness sake, get rid of the Trending feature. You're making it a popularity contest. Reminds me of Junior High.

Guess what, most of the folks on WW already have self-image issues, confidence problems. You're making it worse. Don't you see how that can upset many? Folks who need support may feel further invisible, unappreciated when their big Success isn't suddenly Trending, yet another's is with even less 'likes'. It seems WW is really just out to make more money. You obviously spent a huge amount rebranding yourself as well as all your packaging. Tell me, did you also increase the salaries of all your employees? In all the shops around the world? I know you didn't. Shameful. You're turning into just another company that wants to make even more profit. Please don't tell me you're raising fees again. Have some concern for those of us who have strict budgets. All that being said, I'm committed to myself, my Success and will not drop out. My focus is me and my health.

Would I recommend the program? Yes. Why? It's sound, sane, balanced, teaches folks to enjoy life but be cognizant, employ moderation, be mindful of what they do and how they do it. Is any other program comparable? Well, not in the packaged food v buy/make our own sense, unless it's some Doctor/Dietician program. Do I think it's THE Best program? Meh, not necessarily so. That's why I gave you only 3 stars.

I've been a member of WW previously -- over several years -- but have never been as comfortable with the program as I am now. Certainly I've lost weight in the past, but the current program seems to be easier for me to navigate. Use of the APP is a valuable asset when at home, in grocery stores, or in a restaurant. I feel I will have the greatest success in the next 6 months. Slow and easy is my motto, with a reward at the end!

I was a lifetime member of WW and maintained my weight from 2004 to 2013. But I stopped attending the meeting and that was when my weight increased. So I am back to a better program whichever is something I did not. Think was possible. I love the WW app and lots of free food. I have lost 4 lbs in 4 weeks but I feel better and clothes fit better already.

I've turned to WW anytime I've been overweight since 1996 and have always been a fan of the program, but this new Freestyle Plan is really the best ever. It's just sensible healthy eating habits that one can easily adhere to for life! I'm happy to be back on track again. I was developing some bad habits - mostly from using more oil in cooking than is necessary for delicious food. I love to cook and I'm modifying all my recipes based on WW principles and collecting them in a binder.

Let me first say, I'm a diehard WW supporter...until you introduced Freestyle. I've never been so frustrated in all my life! I lost over 90 lbs in college, life happened, joined half-heartedly a few times, but was on the way to Lifetime success in 2017. I was so excited. Then you introduced Freestyle. My weightless came to a grinding halt. The life-timers in my class, on average gained 10 lbs! Your inflexibility about offering what works for the "older contingent" is mind-blowingly frustrating to say the least. WE WANT THE OPTION!

Therefore, I could not continue my group meeting membership because I could not justify the cost. Seems like the only thing you all are interested in is extending the time that people PAY to reach lifetime...not staying true to your roots of WEIGHT LOSS! It's all about the money (my theory). I struggle even now to keep and justify paying you for the tracking app. I guess it's in hopes that you regain your senses, listen to the masses that want the option of Smart Points!

Online meetings would be fantastic, as I have very limited time and traveling to them is difficult. Miss Oprah's "talks"... also, when tracking by foods, not always enough options are available. And finally, Fat-free is not nutritionally sound advice anymore. Thank you.

I told the people at the meetings that I was canceling and thought that would be it, but no I have been charged for 8 additional months. As I am a diabetic there were many 0 Point foods that I found that I could not eat without compromising my blood sugar dangerously. My doctor said it was not a healthy or realistic dietary plan. I have been a lifetime member for years but since my weight crept up I recently decided to rejoin. When I signed up at the center early Nov 2018, I did not receive a membership agreement with the terms of the agreement or receipt. My understanding was 1 month free and 2 months at $38.28, which was in a past email. A few days later, I called WW customer service to confirm my membership terms, the agent was not helpful - couldn't confirm my membership terms and told me to go to the WW website for help.

Here's my experience and feelings: I chatted with an online rep and was disconnected in the middle of the chat, had to start over with someone else and then was told I have to email WW with my question. So then I emailed WW (and after several exchanges) was sent an email with the terms of my membership - 1st month free, and then $38.28 each mo for 2 months. Since I was already charged for the first mo, I asked to refund or apply to the second mo. They emailed that I had to call customer service (CS) for that. Seems like a simple request, right?

So then back to square 1, calling CS. I called CS again and was told the terms of my membership were $38.28 for 3 months, not as stated in the email agreement from WW, which I now have in writing. The agent was not helpful or kind. So then I asked for a supervisor, who I felt was more high pressure than helpful. Forget about getting a refund or credit for the first "supposedly" free month. I was feeling extremely frustrated and now bullied to pay more than our agreement. So now after hours and hours of accumulated frustration with WW, trying to get this resolved my feelings are that WW used to be a supportive and kind, helpful environment, but not anymore. I feel like they are trying to take advantage of me. This should be a simple thing, but has become so stressful. So now I don't trust WW and don't want any part of it.

I would like a refund of the $38.28 (for all the stress this is causing me) and cancel my agreement. Or at the very least, keep the $38.28 and cancel my agreement without a $60 something penalty due to the circumstances. So now someone from corporate is "supposed" to call me in 72 business hours. I am so disappointed with this experience with the "new improved" WW, that I never want to have anything to do with them again. My initial goal was just to get the terms of my agreement in writing. I have the monthly rate in writing but it is not honored by WW customer service, who not only do not wish to uphold this but they want to charge me more! At this point, I have no respect for this organization and do not want to be a part of it. Buyer beware.

I love being on WW, I feel like the focus is definitely on weight loss but long term and healthy weight loss responsibly. My biggest complaint would be in regards to the center themselves. I am incredibly frustrated that the physical centers aren't all that compatible with the online tools and cell phone app. My experience has been with the center in Sterling Virginia where my center cannot scan my app to use my Monthly Pass... That seems really bad that it can't. I also am unable to meet at the times provided at my center on a consistent basis so I will weigh myself on the off weeks I can't go in.

I understand to keep people accountable and honest that weighing in at the centers is important. However I find it really frustrating that what I enter into the app doesn't connect with the center... Nothing is more frustrating or annoying than knowing I weighed myself entered in the app and I had gained and then be told at the center I had lost because of the lack of compatibility with the center... It makes me feel the guilt twice because I have to admit to the workers at the center that I know I didn't loose weight... That sounds silly but when your goal is to lose and you're teetering back and forth on the scale it can be really discouraging.

I also don't like that a lot of the workers at the center have zero idea on how to use the app? I try asking the leaders or the workers for advice or to troubleshoot things on the app and find I am often times teaching them features of it that they didn't already know... I also do not like that the Connect feature only works on the phone? I think it should also work on the computer platform...

After canceling my online plus studio membership via the app last June (2018), I discovered that WW was stilling billing me the $53/month. This was discovered when I decided to restart my membership but found that a) I already have an account and b) I have no active membership with WW. Well it can’t be both. To put it simply, the monthly dues continued to be deducted from my bank each month while my online access says I have no monthly plan. I was unable to weigh in at the meeting I attended because I wasn’t currently on a plan, according to what the app said.

I called WW and got no help after the person on the phone acknowledged my cancellation in June, but stated that I had two accounts. One was canceled and one remained active. However, I can’t prove this at the meeting! I can’t find anywhere on the website to make the case that I’m being billed for services I do not have access to.

This is so disappointing because I love what WE offers and would like to restart my membership. I’ve been billed for the past six months for a service I discontinued. I would like to know how to resolve this situation. I can’t be current and not current at the same time. Horrible customer service on the phone. I will take this up with my bank’s fraudulent activity division. I’m very disappointed to have to do this.

I'm a WW veteran - 15 years. Freestyle has no style (- well, no structure, but I was going for the rhyme). You claim to be all about wellness and learning healthy habits so it's a lifestyle, not a diet, but there's no way to track water intake anymore, for example. How do I learn - really internalize - what makes a food a healthier choice if I don't know how the points are calculated? How do I learn portion control when I can eat unlimited quantities of zero point foods?

Most distressing, you are unwelcoming and throwing up barriers to my effort - I don't have a smartphone so I can't track my wins points through the website. I don't have a smartphone so I can't fully participate with Connect (I can't add my picture, for starters - I just look generic.) My friend Sue invited me to rejoin WW so we could do this together, but she couldn't get the free month benefit because I don't have a smartphone. The bathroom in my local studio is positioned so that I have to walk through all the chairs and members - not enough privacy (or soundproofing) so rather than be embarrassed, a few weeks ago, I simply left the meeting and went home. I have 20 pounds to go but as soon as I'm there, I'm gone.

I've been on and off various WW programs for 30+ years. For me the most successful was the one where you counted fat and fiber but I had moderate success with every version of WW until Free-for-All, oops, I mean Freestyle. It's a modified high protein, low carb Atkins diet but not as effective because with zero point fruit, there's still too many carbs. The points values of anything that contains the least bit of sugar/carbs is sky high which blows your 23 point daily budget out of the water. It definitely feels like a diet whereas previous programs did not.

The other thing I hate is that WW is consolidating meetings. The small meeting I used to attend that had a great leader was consolidated into a huge meeting in a less convenient location. The big meeting is a joke - the same people week after week monopolizing the conversation with blow by blow descriptions of what they ate that week. Really? Who cares? The leader never effectively reigned them in. Lastly, Connect is poorly moderated with many political and other off-topic posts. I don't give a hoot what anyone else's political opinions are. Why discuss politics on a diet site and why doesn't WW remove those comments?

I have severe ankle osteoarthritis and need to lose weight to help (I hope) alleviate some of the pain. Weight Watchers Freestyle Program was my saving grace. I have to say I misunderstood the deal a few months back. I joined, downloaded the app, tracked diligently, attended meetings and lost 20+ pounds. Then, I got my 3rd or 4th month bill and cried and cried. I'm a senior on a very very minimal (below poverty level) income and could not afford the approx. $45 per month. Hope was dashed to smithereens. I had to drop down to just the app. and it is hard to stay encouraged without the group. Yes, I did 'Connect' but it is not the same and I don't see the same people on it to 'build encouraging relationships' that I was experiencing in the meetings. I am crushed that it costs so much and I cannot continue with the help that I need that was working!!

Love the meetings but had to go online because of cost. I am retired and on a fixed income which does not include a monthly outlay of $44.00 dollars a month. Really enjoy the app but I am going to have to go it alone. I miss my meeting friends and leader. They are a great group. I hope I can do this alone.

This program works! And I love the barcode scan. But I had trouble with the app and they were slow to respond and help. All my friends got a free cookbook, 3 times I emailed asking about this and never received an answer. Otherwise a great experience.

I feel there are many things about the program that online members don’t learn, like how and if they can use their weeklies or what a blue dot is. There are certain questions asked on Connect ALL the time and it gets annoying! WW should send emails when someone starts the program on how to do things. I had done Noom for the free trial, and although I didn’t like it, it was extremely helpful in education, like how often to weigh yourself and to do it the same time of day, because LOTS of people don’t know you gain weight in the afternoon and they weigh themselves and freak out. The psychological aspect and the info in Noom was far superior to WW. It costs little to nothing for WW to send emails to all their members explaining the basics.

I’ve been an on & off WW’er for 8 years. I have to say that out of each of the programs, I had the most success with points plus. I do like the fact that Freestyle allows filling foods such as chicken, eggs, and more veggies for 0 points. I know on the PP program I ate things such as Fiber One bars for lower points than now (almost doubled in points with SmartPoints) but they satisfied my sweet cravings just the same as a brownie would. Now, it’s 4 points for a Fiber One brownie & 8 for the ones my daughter eats so I tend to choose the actual brownies. I’m not 100% convinced that freestyle is doing amazing things for me yet, but maybe I’ll get there. I really loved the PointsPlus days. When I first began in 2011, that’s what got me my weight loss start.

The meetings not so much. My wife and I Started WW in spring of 2018 and we were going to the 11 AM Saturday meetings. They were canceled and after that we lost all momentum we had gained. So I now use the app and that’s great. The meetings, not so much.

I love the WW app, makes everything so easy to track the food items that do have points. Love all the zero point foods too. All fruits and vegetables are zero points, so are eggs, most fish and chicken. I've been on WW Freestyle for 3 weeks and have lost 13 lbs! Thank you!

Inspiring, instructional, encouraging. I'm not alone in this journey. I can go to meetings anywhere for instruction and inspiration. I can eat anywhere and anything. I have the app to keep me on track. I went on vacation, ate in restaurants, tracked my food and still lost. I didn't feel guilty.

Thus far I do not have any negative remarks about WW. The site is very helpful and offers incentives and encouragement. It helps me to keep track of activities and food intake as well as giving food values in line we with the program.

I have been overweight my whole life and have never made my goal weight. Last year I started a non surgical weight loss program and have done well but adding WW has allowed me to jump start my weight loss. I hit a plateau and was stuck for months. In my first month I have lost 16 pounds!!! To date I am down 87 pounds and for once in my life I feel I can finally hit my weight goal and finally feel healthy and confident with myself. I have never liked myself much but I am slowly starting to love myself and my body.

Weight Watchers is an excellent program to guide and keep us motivated. If I should fail it is my own fault. Meetings me keep accountable and honest. I am doing this program for my health, I just plain like food and it doesn't like me so much.

I do not go without any foods I desire or crave. WW is helping me to plan ahead to make wise choices so I can eat any food in moderation to reach my goal of being healthier. Support from other participants at my weekly session is helpful and I look forward to that time of fellowship. I can see myself reaching my healthy BMI weight. I am excited and feel empowered.

I was in WW several years ago and thought the whole thing was too complicated. I really like the new system and the app is great so you can make buying decisions easily with minimal review of the ingredients. The meetings are ok, and I think I need them right now, but can't say I get that much out of them. I am not focusing on weight as much as healthy eating, exercise and overall health.
