I love Weight Watchers, it's the only thing that's ever helped me to lose weight and keep it off. I'm learning about portion control and moderation while getting support from a great online community. While not every week is perfect for me, I haven't given up since I started the program in June!

In over 3 weeks I am only at about 5 lb loss. I do not know if I am ** resistant or if something else - my hypothyroid - is keeping me from losing. This is hard. I do not use the extra points and I try to eat real food but still, this seems hard, if not impossible. That’s one thing. The 2nd is that the WW app is not working. I mean it is messed up. It only displays one screen and the writing for the second line is covering up the first one. I cannot make it budge. I’ve uninstalled and re-installed. This is not for publishing. This is a cry for help: on two fronts. Thank you, but this is how I am doing with the program.

The addition of zero foods makes so much sense. I love the flexibility. We know weekends, travel, holidays and other unexpected canaries happen but this program lets you work through it and remain on track toward your goal. I’ve never been happy with plans that limit certain foods, even if only for 2 weeks. This Freestyle Plan works for me!

When I hit 55, it seemed like I tried everything and still couldn't lose weight. The WW Freestyle Program has changed that. I have lost an average of a pound a week! I never feel deprived AND I am actually making wiser choices (even while on vacation). I can see myself using this WW plan even after I reach my goal weight. Yay!

I rated my WW experience 4 stars. I took off a star for meeting location is extremely small. I attend the 64th Street meeting location in Kansas City, MO. People are always left to stand for meetings. The chairs are so close that the leader has trouble moving and giving out awards. More meeting times should be offered for that location as well. I also don’t like how difficult the app can be. You should be able to type in a restaurant and it give the point value from least to greatest. Another issue is that I am in the WW system 3 times because I switched from online only to online & meetings, plus the time I was part of WW years ago. The computer system should catch that and condense to one. I do like the freestyle program and all of the zero foods that have been added. You have excellent WW leaders. I feel supported more than previous programs.

I first walked into a Weight Watchers meeting about 16 years ago. I stayed on the program and lost 25 pounds and went down from a size 16 to a size 6. I have been off and on WW until this year, I decided to join again because I was interested in the Freestyle program. I have not been disappointed. I love it. The app is awesome. It is much more manageable in daily life. I have lost 9 pounds and feel great. So happy that I am back on the program.

First overall the scanner is the highlight. I wish on the iPad/iPhone I could put in manual entries when all I can do is speculate on the points used. I wish I could append favorite items with a clarification of what the item is. Some of the brand descriptions don't cause me to remember what the item is. I wish I could create new combinations/meals more easily and with generic items.

In November of 2015 I was hospitalized until January 29, 2016. During that time I lost a tremendous amount of weight. I was okay with that. When I came home I was able to eat my husband's food again. Unfortunately, I also ate ice cream, candy, and other things I should not have. I gained most of the weight back. I was immobile when I came home, more or less paralyzed from the waist down. Miraculously, I learned to walk again, aided by leg braces and walkers. I decided to lose weight using Weight Watchers. In 3 weeks I have lost 15 pounds and am down 1 pants size. I would like to go down from a 1x to a large size shirt as well. As I am not as mobile as I was before hospitalization, it is a slower process. I am okay with that. If my chronic disease does not recur, I should keep on losing. This program is excellent. Thanks Weight Watchers!

Overall the freestyle program is working very well for me! I do wish though that Weight Watchers would get a bit more on board with the healthy fats like avocados and coconuts, grass fed butter etc... The point factor is way too high for those things. Our brain is made up of fats. We need good fats and they help metabolize foods.

I tap into those zero points, instead of feeling like I fell off the wagon and just blew it. I’m really enjoying the freestyle program. I have been going for six weeks and I’m down 28.6 pounds! I am a lifelong runner, athlete, and have coached competitive soccer for 32 years. In 2017 after having 7 knee surgeries I ended up with a knee replacement which did not go well and had to be done again. The result was that running was finished for me and at 61 I was finding myself heavier than any time in my life with no real way to do intense exercise. Weight Watchers was a family decision, my daughter and wife also joined with me so we could all get a bit healthier and make better choices. So far so good, it's simple and the options help me make healthier choices.

Before Weight Watchers I hated myself. I hated my body and I hated that I hated my body for "wanting" food. I would choose "bad" foods over "good" and then hate myself for being "bad." In order to then be "good," I would make myself vomit... and oh how good that made me feel... for 5 minutes, and then I would hate myself for being that girl.

Weight Watchers taught me that there is no good vs. bad in food or mindset. It taught me that you can eat what you want and NOT FEEL GUILTY. It is easy to follow and I've seen real results. I really feel like I can keep the weight off and love me for me - the good and the bad. I haven't even felt an ounce of guilt with food, and I'm loving the person I have become. It's worth it. I'm worth it.

Not pleased with Freestyle at all. Besides myself I know of at least 20 others that have gained using this new plan. No opportunity to use old Smart Points like the choice of simply filling. I contacted WW and was told that they were overseas and had no idea about anything regarding the company. A friend who had quit gave me her old point book and since using that I have been losing again. Thinking about leaving WW and using I count my bites which is like the old WW and it is helping me count. You should look at all the weight gain that has occurred and how many have left since the new rollout.

I am a 73 yr old woman who has been a faithful WW member for going on 4 years. I only had about 25 lbs to lose, so I thought I'd nip it in the bud. The Points Plus Program worked well for me and I became lifetime 3 years ago. If I went up a little I knew what to do to get back down for weight in day. UNTIL FREESTYLE! I thought it sounded good until I started gaining weight! Not lots but I was always over goal at weigh in. I thought well give it time, so I did. I faithfully counted my points and also get a decent amount of activity points a week (50 points) which I don't know how this translates into any extra points I can eat. I just don't count them into the weight loss equation.

I am hungry all the time which I never was on Points Plus. I can't enjoy a treat like I used to. I ate a blueberry muffin today and it said 16 points! I guess I wish I hadn't thrown out all my other Points Plus info as I am not remembering it all, plus the points are so much less. I'd go back on it in a heartbeat! I wish we had a choice in the matter for the phone app. What would be wrong with that? Give us a choice. I even set my points back to "lose weight" instead of maintenance weight or I would have gained back more. I am very unhappy with all this Beyond the scale and Freestyle stuff. We are in WW to worry about the scale or we wouldn't be here.

Even better, if we could save our favorites for each favorite restaurant too!

I began Weight Watchers about a month and a half ago and have lost about 20lbs. The external accountability and the ease of using the app have made the biggest difference to me. The (mostly) ladies at the meetings have been really kind and supportive to a mid-40s guy whose been struggling with his weight since having kids. Figuring out how to live a healthy lifestyle is much easier with external support and accountability and Weight Watchers has made a huge difference for me in these respects.

My only concern is that I'm eating fewer whole grains because of the higher point count. I understand that the higher fat content of whole grains makes their points higher than that of refined grains (e.g. brown versus white rice), but it seems like there should be some consideration for the nutritional benefit of whole grains.

After no success, he took down my information and told me I would hear from someone in the WW tech department to assist me. I should anticipate a call back from them within 48 hours maximum. The Ref # assigned to me was **. Again, he tried his best and my dissatisfaction does not lie with him. He waived next month's $42.00 charge for me which was also appreciated although not quite what I was expecting.

What I was expecting was some communication back from your TECH department which as of today, Feb. 25, 2018, has NOT happened. The frustration for me now is that my issue with the app seems to have been lost (ignored?) somehow within the WW group and I am still left with the aggravating issues of random, at best, usage of the app. This is something I am paying for and relying on in large part to the overall success I have with the WW program. I am now curious to see what the WW team will do with this issue. Be responsible enough to connect with me and let me know what is going on. THANK YOU!!!

On the con side - the welcome kit was not useful. Steamer, cutting tool, and cutting board all went to goodwill. The egg poacher at least works. The first time I used the chat feature pop-up, their answer was Google it. Hmm I'm paying 17$ a month for Google It answers? You cannot import a recipe on the website. I am so glad I finally took the plunge and joined Weight Watchers. I did the old program (like it was still a paper handout) when I was in high school and lost about 20 lbs. I’m now almost 30 yrs old. My highest weight was 298 lbs. I lost about 75-80 lbs on my own. After some health issues I stopped trying and my weight loss stopped. I knew I needed to make a lifestyle change and not just go on another diet.

After seeing so many commercials for the new Freestyle plan I decided to give it a shot. After 5 weeks, I have to say that I’m so glad I did! I’m down 13 lbs, and feel so much better already. When I started putting my food into the app I realized not necessarily how bad I was eating but how much I was eating. I have definitely learned how to control my portions better, and how to substitute with healthier options. I LOVE that there is such a great support system in Connect. I don’t have time or feel comfortable going to live meetings but the interaction and encouragement from Connect has been so helpful and important in my journey. I’m so glad I made a decision for me to change my life for the better. Thanks Weight Watchers!!

I am a 63 year old woman and wanted to make a life change to be healthier! I didn’t want a diet - I only needed to lose 10 lbs. I wanted to teach myself life habits when it came to food choices, get a focus on portion control, reduce my sugar level as it was in the prediabetic stage. Weight Watchers is an awesome learning tool. I also incorporated all of our dinners for my 85 year old father and 67 year old husband into what I was making for myself for dinner - every once in a while I will give them a different meal from myself where they can have their less healthy foods!

It was also a way of having “accountability”! I track everything - even 0 points - I want to understand what I am consuming each and every day! I truly wasn’t eating enough food cause I wasn’t eating healthy enough. Now I plan all my meals before shopping - make sure I have healthy snacks available. I was also drinking way too much alcohol each day and now that is “noticed” and under control as I have to account for each drink!

The support online is awesome - I don’t have time for meetings and have more self Control and drive to succeed that they aren’t necessary for me! I also started working out with Trainer 2 times a week, power walk 3 times a week and track my steps every day shooting for over 10k a day! Eventually I want to make it a minimum of 15k a day! Since February I have lost four pounds of the 10 but the best thing is I am seeing muscle tone definition, have tightened my bra one hook size and tighten my belt 1 inch! My husband notices all the changes without me even asking. He will tell me so! This is a wonderful Healthy approach to getting control over your life - thank you!!!

I signed up for a promotion offered for 3 month membership to WW for $29.97. On 2/1 PayPal deducted the enrollment fee from my checking account. Then I noticed ANOTHER enrollment deduction in 2/14. I called on my bank and they said to call WW. I called and the representative said they deducted again so that I could get my membership card in the mail??? I already did and then got another one in the mail 2/24. I told her that is NOT what’s I signed up for and she said there was nothing they could do. I contacted my WW leader and she’s going to try and help me. My brother in law died from cancer yesterday and this was the last thing I needed to be dealing with. Not impressed at all.

I joined in January of 2018 and I’ve enjoyed the program. I find it can be very difficult to track food though because the same thing can be in there 7-8 ways with different point values for each one of those options. I never know which one to pick or which one is accurate. It would be nice if the company could go in and figure out for example a 1/4 of an avocado truly has 2 points and fat rid of the rest. That would make the program much more enjoyable and easier because then you’d feel like you’re doing it correctly.

Liberal I’m living the new Freestyle program. So much easier than before with all the zero point options. I just wish building a recipe within the app was easier. Why can we scan to add foods, yet we can’t use scan barcode when building a recipe? I’d like to be able to use the barcode scanner. I’d also like to be able to share recipes with friends. My neighbor and I are doing this together. She is the lucky recipient of my cooking lately. All she can do is quick add the points. She would like to be able to actually put in the recipe so she has is available to use as well. Again, still a fantastic program. The app just needs a couple tweaks. I know these things are possible because I utilized them with the MyFitnessPal app.

I’ve joined Weight Watchers several times over the years. The freestyle plan is by far my favorite because it’s the right mix of tracking foods I should be mindful of and just simply making good choices. I have trouble following through without the accountability of a system, so only “having” to track some foods gives me the ownership I need to continue eating well after I reach my goal. Love it!

That said, I’ve learned more about how to do the program from Facebook groups than from the online resources. The information available to new, online only members is not comprehensive enough to start confidently. I’d like to see that area of the site and app better developed. Also, a section for zero point recipes for those tough days would be really helpful. It would be great to build sections more readily available for instapot users, air fryer users, and crock pots. It might be there, but it’s not simple enough to locate and use.

This is exactly what I needed, and with the new list of 200 zero point foods, I am able to manage what's going into my body much better than before. My biggest complaint/concern about the program is the amount it encourages the consumption of sugar-free, low-fat, artificial sweeteners, etc. I know how bad these can be for your body and get frustrated at times that they promote eating these types of things. They might be less calories, but they have so much more "junk" in them. I would love to see the program encourage changing of habits to promote long-term success. Almost a combination of whole 30 principles with the points system.

I rejoined Weight Watchers in January of 2018. Weight Watchers has always worked for me in the past. The Freestyle program is not what I expected from Weight Watchers. They are always making adjustments to their plans to improve them. This "new" plan is not working out very well for me. The points allotment and the food points system has been adjusted to allow for all of these "free" foods. 200 hundred free foods to choose from! I am very hungry on this new Weight Watchers plan.

Bring back the Points Plus plan. That one worked for me. Weight Watchers should do what they did in years past. You could either do their "core" plan or you could do a points plan. At least you had a choice. Freestyle does not work for a lot of people; Read the reviews, Weight Watchers. Give us a choice. We are willing to pay, but give us the option on what plan works best for us. Points Plus worked well for me. I can't wait until my 3 months subscription is up. This new Freestyle plan for me is too restrictive. I am going to subscribe to an app on my iPhone that mimics the old WW plans that work well for me. A lot cheaper, too!

I’ve been a WW member for 17 years and finally, after the introduction of Smart Points, I felt as if the program was working for me. With Smart Points I lost a total of 115 pounds, but that success has now ended with the latest WW Freestyle program. Since WW introduced Freestyle back in November of 2017, I have gained back nearly 28 pounds! When I contacted an in-app counselor, they said I didn’t deserve to be lifetime because I didn’t work hard enough. Really? 6 Days a week I wake up at 4:30 am to hit the gym by 5 am.

After work, I change into my gym clothes and hit the gym again before heading home. To be told by a WW employee that I don’t “work hard enough” is inexcusable and unacceptable. All I can think is that Smart Points worked too well and Weight Watchers needed to create a program that would keep their clients overweight and prevent them from getting to Lifetime. If anyone hears of a class action lawsuit against WW, I hope they will post the information here.

I have been a member of WW off, and on for many years. I still remember using the sliding cards to check points. :) In 2012 PointsPlus helped me succeed by losing 38lbs before my wedding. Then Smartpoints came along, and I LOVED it. I was doing great. Dropped 36lbs, I was so motivated. I was feeling great, sharing my WW success with everybody. Earned tons of charms. I was losing every week, even the week after Thanksgiving. I was super proud of that.

Then here comes FREESTYLE. I have been struggling with FS from day one. I’m going nowhere with this plan. I’ve lost, and gained the same pound over, and over. Here’s what my logs look like +1.4 (first week of FS), -1.4 (Got a Fitbit), -0.6, +0.8, -0.2, -0.8, +1. That’s six weeks of wasted time. A set back, which is hard for people dealing with weight issues. I could have lost six pounds easily in that time with SP. I tried talking with my leader after the meeting. That wasn’t much help. And people saying stuff like use your common sense is just silly.

There’s no structure, no set amount. Why advertise free foods, then say eat in moderation. People with weight problems need a set amount. You can’t depend on overweight people to set their own limitations. Why do you think they're overweight to began with? They don’t know when to stop, so a zero points is a BAD idea when it comes to food. Why would doctors say for years to count your calories? I’ll tell ya, because every calorie counts. There has to be a line in the sand, you know limitations. I can’t keep guessing how much I can eat, and still lose weight. I’m not a fan of seafood, and you can only eat so much chicken before you’re sick of it. I want my happiness back (Smartpoints). Please Weight Watchers listen to your customers. March 10th will be my last day with WW, because of Freestyle. If Smartpoints return then so will I. ❤️

I have used WW for multiple years with great success. I used to say that Weight Watchers was the only plan that worked because it was easy to fit into real life. I had tried and failed every other plan out there. I say "used to" because after the introduction of Freestyle, I no longer feel it is something I can do for life. This so-called lifestyle now felt very restrictive and like a diet. And ironically, one I couldn't I lose weight by following!!!

My issue has always been with portion control, and Freestyle took away our ability to plan for and budget our points and have a target to aim for each day. I was so excited when it first rolled out and jumped in eagerly. But I quickly found the lack of boundaries and structure brought a complete halt to weight loss and even brought gains. I followed it diligently for two months. The plan tells you zero point foods don't have to be measured or tracked. Just eat until satisfied. I did that and gained!

When I reached out to WW for help I was very snidely told that free foods don't mean open buffet and you have to be mindful of portions and measure. We were doing just that with the previous plan!!! So I am now following the previous plan, tracking points for all foods, and using that as a guide on portion sizes. I am back to losing, but I'm doing it on my own with no support or options from Weight Watchers. Now, it seems that Weight Watchers is what doesn't fit within my lifestyle!

My sincere hope is that WW can see that Freestyle can never give some of us the structure and boundaries that bring weight loss success. I think there needs to be a lot more research on this new plan, as it seems people who struggle with portions and control were excluded from this extremely small study group of 162. Every day I see people post on Connect that they are struggling with Freestyle and not losing. Sadly, instead of saying, "hang in there, the plan works," I have to say, "me, too." I no longer trust the current plan and certainly can't recommend it like crazy like I used to.

I know WW makes continual changes, and up until now they all bettered the program. It now seems that in this attempt to grow their customer base, they have abandoned their greatest advertisers, longtime, loyal clients who were successful with their weight loss goals and believed in the product they were using and recommending. You would think retention would be part of the overall business model. I would hope seeing so many struggle to make this plan work (and we've tried) would at least spur WW into considering some sort of revision or offering people some options in an effort to keep them as customers. Otherwise, I'm at the point where cancelling my membership seems like the best option!

I joined Weight Watchers a few months ago when SmartPoints were still being used and had great success (losing on average 1 to 2 lbs. per week). Now that Freestyle has been introduced I feel that there is no real reason to stay with the program as this does not assisted me with my major problem, OVEREATING. While losing weight on SmartPoints I was already choosing the healthy foods (chicken, seafood, beans, etc.), but now I seem to be eating them in excess. For me Weight Watchers no longer provide any tools for me to track and keep myself on track/accountable while attempting to adjust to portions sizing.

Years ago (around 2006) I had used Weight Watchers and at that time they had both, a point system and something similar Freestyle. Even then I chose to use the point system in order to keep myself in check. If Weight Watchers is going to keep Freestyle I wish they would also provide the option to use a SmartPoint system. Members have different needs besides only making healthy food choices, there are also the overeating issues that many need to overcome.

I have found Weight Watchers to be the most incompetent, uncaring and downright awful company I have ever had the misfortune to get involved with. I joined Weight Watchers about 2 months ago. When I first joined I received a receipt for my payment which I was able to claim a refund on from my health fund. When I tried to claim for the second payment I was consistently ignored on the helpline and when I asked my coach for a receipt she told me to call Weight Watchers. I did and they told me to email them.

After eight attempts of asking for an receipt by email and being totally ignored I have given up and will be cancelling my subscription. I posted about my experience on online and many people have had the same problems as I have. I was also warned that Weight Watchers consistently take money from people's account even although they have cancelled their subscription. All in all I have had a dreadful experience and would not recommend Weight Watchers to anyone.

Well I started Weight Watchers back in 2000 with the winning points program straight out of high school. It's the only thing that ever worked and I still have my old friend, the points finder. I have given all of these new updates plans a try and nothing compares to losing my first pound on that realistic plan resulting in a total of 52lbs. The new freestyle plan is more like a diet and not what Weight Watchers used to stress, "a lifestyle change". Zero point foods are good but I agree with a lot of people, how much chicken, fish and eggs can you eat? I had a heart attack last year and eggs are not my main goal for cholesterol problems. And let's be realistic, love chocolate, burgers and Pepsi. I felt a lot better knowing that drinking one can a day for three points versus the nine points now was ok.

This new plan is not working for me. Going back to my trusty friend. I think the Weight Watchers should have had a choice for people who did have success on older plans. After my subscription is up I am going out on my own until Weight Watchers goes back to what it used to be or at least offers choices and stops thinking about making more money by having us flock to new ideas. I used to really Rave about Weight Watchers but no more. Very disappointed no matter how many superstars promote the company. Thanks for making me feel like it's 1979 when my mother joined.

I was contacted by a corporate representative today and am happy with the resolution. I think it is imperative that companies employ representatives that engage in excellent customer service if they want to retain customers. Since my husband and I both had subscriptions as well as my daughter, I was very surprised at the responses from the first several representatives, who didn’t seem to care in the least if all three of us cancelled, which seemed very short-sighted. But I am satisfied with the outcome, although I don’t believe it would have been resolved today unless I had written this public review and corporate was contacted. Customers shouldn’t have to do this.

    Original Review: Feb. 20, 2018

On 1/8/18, I signed up for 3 month Meetings + Online Plus for myself, and 3 Month Online Plus for my husband. We overall like the Weight Watchers program so that is not where my complaint lies but in the billing a cancellation system you have in place, which appears to be fraudulent. My complaint is as follows: A week later on 1/15/18, my daughter thought she might like to try Online Plus too. Knowing that she may not like it or stick with it, I carefully selected the Online Plus 1 Month Subscription. I work on computers and am quite versed with them and definitely picked a 1 Month Subscription only for her. On the billing history of this account, it clearly shows a 1 Month Subscription was paid.

On 2/19/18, I went in to cancel her Monthly Subscription, knowing I had already been charged for a second month which was ok. It showed that I would be charged a $39.95 cancellation charge for cancelling prior to the 3 Month Commitment. Since I did not sign up for a 3 Month Plan on HER account, I wrote to your Accounting department to see where the mistake was. I have now gone back and forth with three of your representatives who all say basically the same thing to me - that I signed up for a 3 Month Plan even though they offer nothing that says I did, and I knew what I was signing up for because I was made aware of that when I signed up - I DID NOT. I uploaded two documents for them: My Order Confirmation clearly showing I subscribed for a Standard Monthly Fee and one month was charged, and the Billing History on the account where it clearly states I was charged for "Online 1 Month Subscription."

I asked them why does it say Online 1 Month Subscription if I signed up for a 3-month commitment like they said and they would answer the simple question. All three individuals were rude, never thanking me for being a Weight Watchers Client with two other active accounts or could we do to make this situation better knowing we have 3 ACCOUNTS...and would not answer why it says 1 Month Subscription if it is for 3 Month. Makes no sense whatsoever as my account clearly says 3 Months, why wouldn't my daughter's also? I see where Resolution Team members from Weight Watchers are reaching out on other Weight Watchers issues.

I certainly hope you reach out to me soon and rectify this matter. I know what circle I clicked and what I signed up for on my daughter's account (Madeline **) and it was NOT a 3-month plan that required a cancellation fee. Sad that so little customer service is initiated at clients all for an additional $16.62 they will receive on the 3rd month. Then I will cancel and probably all 3 accounts.

After being on the Weight Watchers online Freestyle program for over a month I have yet to lose one pound. I have followed the program religiously keeping track of my daily points and never going over my daily allotted total of 33 points. I will admit that my activity levels are probably not what they should be but to not lose a single pound is very discouraging and disappointing. I have a hard time believing you can have as many zero point foods as you want and still lose weight. After signing up for the 3 month program I will give the program another two months. If I don't see any results by then I will not renew my membership.

After trying the new freestyle program for a while, I canceled my WW membership and now use an app that allows me to go back to the smart points program that I have lost over 50 lbs on in the last year. I do not feel that the freestyle program gives me more freedom... I feel the opposite. I don't want to eat eggs and beans a lot, and I like other meats than chicken, turkey and fish. My husband has lost a lot of weight in the last year with smart points as well, and he doesn't like the new program either. He will soon be cancelling his WW too and using an app to go back on smart points. Why change things that were working well? I have used probably every WW program over the years, and this freestyle one is the only one I haven't liked.

I decided to join WW because I was ready to be conscious about healthier choices. I knew I would never measure food (not realistic to me), and the new program caught my eye. I figured why not try it out for 6 months. When I started, I only had 12 pounds to lose to get to my goal weight. What I have learned: track what you are eating, plan for meals eating out and exercise 3-5 days a week. If I am eating lunch or dinner out, I will have a 0 point egg white with veggie breakfast. Most importantly, this is NOT a diet -- it is a lifestyle change since you can eat whatever you want, but just in moderation. Since I don't have to measure chicken breast or salmon, I love the program. It truly works if you are honest with yourself.

From that point I felt like I couldn’t trust them anymore. For the first time in years I cancelled my account because I GAINED weight on the program.

I belong to an at-work group and after They collected our re-enrollment payments, WW changed to the FreeStyle plan. It doesn’t work for me and it is not what I paid for. I called WW and spoke to a cust service representative who told me they can’t refund my money. I gave the plan a chance, about 2 months, and after gaining 8 lbs made my decision. I don’t like the 0 points foods, so it makes it impossible to stay within the points allowed and then you’re starving. I did not sign up for this plan and I want my money back.

Updated on 02/15/2018: WW responded and provided a phone number that I could call for a refund. When I called the number it was like I was joining a conference call, it said "you are the first person on the call." I called the 'regular' WW customer service number and after much discussion, the rep, Michelle, was insistent she could not refund my money. I asked for a supervisor and was told no one was available, she took my phone number and I was told someone would call me within 24 hours. Well, 24 hours have come and gone and no one has called me. I just want a refund, WW took the money out of my checking account with no problem, they should be able to refund it without a problem. I am willing to get proof of payment from my bank account if needed.

I lost 17 pounds on WW smart points - love my meeting leader and my group and found it very doable. I'm at goal so the switch to Freestyle hasn't impacted me much and I really do understand the thinking behind it. I'm just sad that if existing members are leaving and struggling, that a company owned by Oprah Winfrey wouldn't try to offer the smart points option for those that still want it. Isn't it just two versions of a WW app? You could choose smart points app and Freestyle app, and heck, the smart points app existed until so recently. Isn't a version still around?

Make new friends, Mindy Grossman, but keep the old. One is silver and the other is gold! I'm also VERY concerned about rumor that meetings leaders are being watched, and really held to a strict script. These women work very hard and they are smart enough to handle two programs and guide the discussion. I can see my leader has changed... something is missing... and it's as if she's self-conscious. Oprah, FREEDOM OF SPEECH please!!! I hope this whole rumor isn't true because we have that groovy first amendment here in the USA. :)

I have been a lifetime WW since 1998. I have done every program since exchanges for milk, fruit, meat, etc. I have confidently accepted and wholeheartedly worked every plan I have ever been given by WW. Freestyle was no different. I enthusiastically worked and worked for weeks to gain weight. When looking for support I was sad to be told to keep at it, trust the program, be patient. More gaining, indigestion, feelings of failure. I finally started to question WW "science". Upon going back to a 30sp beyond the scale tracking method... I lost weight consistently and have ever since.

Now members who were told, "Eat 0 point items, no need to track"... are told, "You may need to track and measure, but as they are 0, it doesn't allow tracking." This is backhanded double talk. I joined WW to have a system that offered sensible tracking not new age "You cant get fat off of 0sp foods". This new program is misleading people to "eat all they want to lose". I can no longer be proud of, recommend, or financially choose to support a corporation that is after profits at the expense of long term customers.

I started on Points Plus and lost a significant amount. Then I quit following it and coasted for a while. Then in November of 2016, I decided to get serious again. The program at the time was SmartPoints. It took some adjusting from the former Points Plus plan, but I kept at it and lost over 50 lbs. It works as a lifestyle change and I think it is very adaptable for everyday life.

Then came Freestyle. I have been in it for 2 months and I'm done! Unfortunately I still am not done with my weight loss. I have gone back to the former SmartPoints program and am once again losing. There is no point for me to pay $240 a year for a program I'm not using. There are many apps that are much cheaper that support the program I was successful on for me to continue to pay for something that is not producing results. I gave it a fair shake and am now going back to what works! Whoever at WW that thought this plan was superior could not be more wrong. So disappointed in a company I used to rave about!

I am not giving up this now. What has made it easier than ever is the Freestyle program. Zero-point foods are what keep me full, with pointed-foods there to supplement and make it fun. I don't feel like I'm on a "diet" at all. I'm eating more than ever, which is great for me, as I used to skip meals in the past hoping to lose weight that way. BAD IDEA. All that accomplished was to make me weak, and starve, which would result in a binge. Nonsense!

The app is great. It's easy to use, and the barcode scanner is a lifesaver. My grocery trips are like scavenger hunts now, with a goal of finding low-point treasures. (My snack drawer is a bit overpacked, though. I think I'm hoarding snacks!) But it's all fun, and very satisfying. The Connect feature is my new social-media-addiction, which is a welcome change from the vitriolic rest-of-the-internet world. Some trolls have made it into Connect, but we are all on the lookout, and they're being kept at bay. I am also attending meetings, which are fun and informative. They serve to motivate and inspire. Our leader (@mimi545) is very knowledgeable and entertaining. We like her a lot. So all-in-all, I am loving the new WW. I am extremely disappointed in the company's new vision and what Weight Watchers has become. All foods have points because all contain calories, carbs, protein. This is a terrible marketing strategy created without knowing the struggle of food addiction, which most customers struggle daily with. Unfortunately this was thrown out the window and forgotten when Freestyle was created. Thankfully I have worked the program with Points Plus before and have the resources to do so again! So glad I'm no longer starving trying to be under 23 points and knowing good and well how many points eggs, beans, lean meats and such have in them. Would absolutely NOT recommend this program anymore. Sad day!

I had been doing the Smart Points plan. It was working great. Unfortunately, with the new Freestyle plan, there are too many free (they call zero points) foods. If I had the ability to control my eating, then I wouldn't need Weight Watchers. The prior plan helped me to do that. Whereas, now I can eat all the chicken for zero points. There is no accountability. Then at the end of the day, I still see tons of lovely points left over, which means I can still eat. That doesn't work. Calling something zero points means it is still free, no matter how much you say it isn't.

Example: You are given $23 (the average amount of points a person is given) and you walk into a store that has a huge section of clothes labelled FREE. Heck, you are going to head to the free section and grab as many as you can, even if you don't particularly like them because they are free. Now you walk into another store and the clothes aren't labelled FREE, instead they are labeled $0. Ummm... Guess what!! Same thing happens. It is human nature, especially in people who don't have self-control such as overeaters.

Their rationale is that people won't overeat foods such as chicken breast, corn, peas, beans, eggs, etc. I am sorry to say, that it is very easy to overeat them. I am not sure what they were thinking when they come up with this latest plan. They certainly didn't consider the thousands of people who haven't gotten control of their eating habits yet. They tested this plan on people who were already successful under the prior plan and had their food under control.

Weight Watchers works. Work the plan, the plan works. With each incarnation of how points are calculated the program has moved toward a solid approach to eating whole foods cooked well. I had great success several years ago. Thought I could go off the program, to find 4 years later, I'm at that same starting weight. Eat healthy food, healthy portions, be moderately active and you will succeed in losing weight steadily.

I have been an on-again, off-again WW member for about 20 years, I think. I have lost up to 50 pounds and made goal but never completed maintenance or achieved lifetime. I've done online only, meetings and WW on my own and the only thing that really works for me is meetings combined with online/app. I have lost weight with other "diets" but truly feel that WW is a lifestyle and not a diet. My problem is that at some point in my journey, I tire and feel I can't justify spending the money if I'm not serious so I quit. Also, I was not happy with smart points but probably didn't give it enough of a chance. My true feeling is that I believe in WW, I trust WW and I know it is the only way for me to get and be healthy. I'm so excited about WW Freestyle! Someday, I want to be a WW leader if they will have me after all my starts and stops. Thank you!

I have had successful journeys with Weight Watchers before the FreeStyle program. I lost over 30 lbs with Weight Watchers Point Plus back in 2012. I had several lifestyle changes occur since then, including having my firstborn son and living briefly with my ex-fiancée chef. My weight quickly ballooned and I had regained what I lost (Mainly from pregnancy). As part of my new year's resolution, I wanted to get back into shape since I now finally have the time to devote to it. I joined Weight Watchers FreeStyle on January 1st and noticed one thing right away, I was terribly hungry pretty much all the time. I fought past it and used all of weekly points, and at the end of the month I did lose nearly 11 lbs.

There was signs that this program was not right for me, I noticed 100 calorie Maple Syrup was 6 points (Nearly 1/3 of my daily allowance!). 100 calorie Chocolate Covered Pretzels were 5 points. I finally did the math and noticed I was only eating 600-800 calories a day! So if you don't eat these "free points" foods from their approved list, you will starve. Since the daily points have been reduced from 28-29 points down to 21-23 points, it is a lot harder to eat what you want. I have heard a piece of cake can be as high as 7-9 points! Come on! So in February, I noticed I gained 2 lbs back from my 10 lb weight loss. After starving myself for nearly a month, I gave it up. I switched to calorie counting (1200 a day) and with a workout routine I am losing more weight, and I am barely hungry now.

I do whole grain foods mixed with lean proteins, and the allowance of one sweet treat a day if I want it. Much more tolerable for me. Sorry Weight Watchers, but Freestyle sucks and it feels like a diet now. Before Weight Watchers programs helped to fit into my lifestyle, now you are forced to fit into what they want you to eat or starve because you don't have enough daily allowance points.

I was a WW member when I was a teen and also when I was in my 20's. We have been going about a month now and have had ups and downs but awareness of portions and differences in a donut vs. an apple have been good lessons learned for him. My biggest irritation is that WW will not allow him to have the tracker on his phone. This would improve our experience tenfold. He is "techie" and the ability to track and scan foods would set him up for success. Thank you.

I signed up for the 3 months of Weight Watcher's online and with no direction on how to start the new plan. You basically have to navigate around the site your self to figure things out. I can not believe you can put in the name of a food but you can not sort them by points or whatever to help you find the lowest point values. There is no list of products by points and this would be most helpful so I can find products within my point range. I can find more information on sites like myfitnesspal.com the free version and I can also get free information from Pinterest about weight watchers than I can from Weight Watchers own site.

Basically all I have figured out to do is keep track of what I am eating. I can that in Excel or on the free version of myfitnesspal. Weight watchers needs to update their site and make it more friendly to help people find the lowest food points. For instance if I put in cereal I should be able to sort it by points so I can find the lowest point cereals instead of scanning through page after page.

At my first WW meeting my WW consultant told me to think about my goal weight. She told me that listing my goal weight should be more about a feeling than a number. At what weight do I remember feeling good about myself. That rang so clear to me. As I have aged and gained weight I really feel like I have lost my edge and that I am no longer "as good as". That's right.

Personally, I don't feel sexy and men don't even see me in the room. Professionally, I feel like I really have to prove myself a little more than my more fit and attractive counterpart. My weight is rocking my confidence. I feel like my weight is holding me back in every aspect of my life. I don't feel as good as the next person, I certainly don’t look as good as. I think that most people around me likely think that I have a pretty good life, healthy, happy, successful. But I feel like I have to put that face on every day. Inside, I don't feel as good as everyone else. I am learning the WW program to change the way I see myself. I want my edge back and I am committed to that goal with the WW’s plan.

I joined the online only. Since joining, I have started the weight loss process with the ability to eat the foods I'm used to eating. I love sweets! Now I manage those cravings. I can eat what I like in moderation, eat the zero point food options to my heart's content and lose weight! Weight Watchers is a good, affordable, healthy weight loss program that works when you stick to the plan. People can buy the food needed in neighborhood grocery stores. No pre-packaged, processed, expensive food to this program. Weekly meetings can be great for motivation, support and tips. There are three different payment plans which are all affordable.

There a few cons to joining Weight Watchers in my opinion. When someone buys the monthly pass option, they are billed 2 weeks in advance for the next month. This can wreak a little havoc on personal budgets. The 200 zero point food is mostly fruits, veggies, fat free proteins, low fat lean chicken and turkey breast. Kind of hard to snack on that stuff when the 3 PM workday munchies hit. This new plan is over-hyped. Overall, I've been happy with Weight Watchers on a local franchise level. The corporate and regional offices might want to be more responsive to participant questions sent via email or online.

I do think maybe more should be taught that people shouldn't be eating free stuff non stop then save all their points for one giant dessert. I am writing to complain about the “tech” part of WW. 3 emails, 2 "Help" requests, 2 tweets & 1 hr phone call. I had problems like this in the past, and even ended my membership over it - so I am dismayed that nothing has changed. In the first two weeks: My monthly pass could not be accessed at my meeting place. My weight was not being recorded on my app. Online ‘Help’ is NOT helpful (for tech problems -- they apparently can not even relay a message to the tech staff!)

For the past MONTH: My app is still not synced w/ meeting weigh-in. NO change. At my 1/26 meeting I stood and listened to the woman at the desk ask the tech (CHAMP?) to fix the problem. I listened for 40 minutes! She was dismissed, insulted and NOT helped by the MAN on the other end of the conversation. NO change. I do want to say that EVERY WW staff person I meet IN PERSON is professional, caring, and very helpful. Many of them can remember when WW did just fine with no techies "supporting" them.

WW, your BEST ASSET is your people who meet face-to-face with members. Most of them are women...as like most of your members. I am assuming most of your tech staff are not. I imagine most of your tech staff have not even attended a WW meeting - let alone TALK with a member. I imagine your tech staff also have higher wages and better benefits than the meeting staff -- those part-time, on-call WOMEN who are the face of your company. This gender disparity is a good reason for taking this issue to #Women...and the media. I am writing an article for "O" magazine (I assume you have data on the WW gender-biased salary disparity).

Updated on 2/8/2018: After one month, two emails, three online "feedback/help" requests and ONE hour with meeting helper talking to "tech support"... I discover that THIS is where WW answers complaints?? LOL -- my app was updated today. Too little, too late. I just want a full refund now. The disrespect the tech/online staff has showed me has completely soured me on a program I once loudly defended. I was shocked while watching the telephone exchange between a woman helping me at my meeting and "tech support" - the man was dismissive and insulting. Even the online "help" staff cannot access tech support? The lack of response, the dismissal of my complaints, the complete indefensible sloppy technical support demonstrates a corporate structure that no longer serves members.

AND... my personal issue has developed into a political one. #EqualPay... According to Glassdoor, most of the male employees are making FAR more than the female. This is a company with a 90% female clientele. This is a company touted by Oprah who is "proud to stand for integrity". This is a company that has already had a class action suit against it.... for the technical problems and lack of technical support.
