Absolute sham of a company and wouldn’t wish dealing with their lies and deception on my worst enemy. They really need to go out of business so more people don’t get screwed over. Never work with this company under any circumstances.

MoveSafe made my move from Virginia to North Carolina pretty stress-free. The movers showed up on time and were careful with my furniture, especially the larger pieces. They packed everything efficiently, but a couple of boxes were squished by the time they arrived. Thankfully, nothing inside was damaged. Customer service was responsive, and I liked that they checked in during the process. The overall cost was slightly higher than expected due to extra packing materials, but it wasn't unreasonable. I'd definitely consider using them again for my next move.

When you move, it is up there with a wedding wedding having a baby having a divorce or even a person stuff so it’s the most stressful thing. Some people have to deal with for the year, but when you have someone who cares about your possessions like they are at your own and see you as individual it is one less thing to stress about, I highly recommend them for your next moving assignment!!

I cannot give 5 stars without knowing how the actual move would have gone, but their sales rep did a great job walking me through the quote and making sure that everything I was moving was accounted for.

Update: Move Safe Relocations reached out to me after two years and apologized for the treatment I received during my move. They heard my grievances and said they want to repair the damage. They offered me a partial refund for my trouble. While it is not a full refund, I appreciate the attempt. My moving with this company was a horrible experience, and I wrote reviews on several websites warning consumers not to use them. However, Move Safe relocations took active steps to try to repair the damage, and I am appreciative. I will now rate them four stars, just because it was not a full refund and the move was such a terrible experience I can still remember it two years later.
Moving is stressful enough and this company made it even worse. If I could give this company a zero star I would. Absolute do not ever use this company. Believe this review. I moved from Tampa Florida to Riverdale New York. The movers came to pick up my items on July 29. I drove and arrived in NYC on August 1. It is now August 8 and the movers just arrived, completely different movers. When I made contact with Move Safe Shawn was very nice. Then after they received my first deposit that’s when the tables turned and they became something completely different. It was like dr. Jekyl: Mr Hyde.
I told the company I would need a certificate of insurance to move into the building. I am still on hold waiting for them to send over the document I asked them for two weeks ago. They use third-party movers so it is difficult to get in touch with the drivers to find out their ETA. I told them I needed to reserve the elevator and I didn’t find out until the last minute when they were coming. I had to beg the leasing department to reserve the elevator and now they are double booked. Also, be mindful of the extra fees the movers charge. Move safe relocation is unprofessional, inefficient, dishonest. Do not use a broker for a move. Big mistake I will never make again. I will never use this company again. They should all be fined.

The only thing MoveSafe Relocation delivers is a scam, thievery, lies and evil. If you hire them, you will regret it deeply, consider yourself warned! My estimate ended up being nearly twice as much as quoted, even though the boxes for my TV and other items were not brought as promised. Then, my OLED TV arrived shattered. Only ONE mover (I paid for two) showed up with a truck too small and I was forced to leave thousands of dollars worth of furniture and personal items that wouldn't fit in my car because of this. I was promised 1-2 week delivery and it took SIX WEEKS to finally get to me. For a month, I called for information to a phone line no one answered.
I lived in my new house without furniture or personal items for a month and a half. I had to cancel my vacation plans in case they showed up - which they did not, although they told me they would. My kids and guests couldn't stay over as planned and my life was put on hold. I spent weeks of my time desperately trying to find someone to speak to from MoveSafe, to no avail. Moving is stressful when things work out but living out of an empty home with a suitcase of clothing (and having to buy everything while waiting for my property) was beyond stressful. I didn't think I'd ever see it again.
When I finally did, they were rude and they kept lying, saying it would be there in 2-3 days, week after week after week. ONLY after getting an expensive attorney did they respond and still, they lied about the delivery date. When I got my items, my mattress, brand new couch, TV and many other items were filthy and damaged! They didn't properly wrap these items (which I paid for), so they were ruined. So many things were scratched, damaged or missing. Also, they tacked on over a thousand extra dollars with the threat that if I didn't pay it they wouldn't deliver. Extortion is their game and the laws are on their side. I don't believe I ever would have seen my items had I not retained an attorney. If you check their BBB reviews, you'll see I'm right. This company is unethical, sloppy, advantageous, rude and my opinion is they are criminals - on their best day. DO NOT USE MOVESAFE RELOCATION, you will regret it.

Me and my son hired Movesafe Relocation to relocate us long distance. We were not told they were a broker. They hired Blue Diamond Moving Services AKA Logistic Moving Services. They kept our belongings 7 weeks. When they did bring it, there was rat feces and urine in all of our boxes. Everything on the truck was broken. A hole in the back of my china cabinet that I bought years ago. I paid them to destroy everything I worked hard to get. Movesafe needs to pick better movers and stop taking people money.

We were contacted by Movesafe Relocation at the end of April about an interstate move from New York to California. Upon our first contact with the sales person, we were assured that we would have the exclusive use of a truck directly from our house in NY to our new house in California. This was a major selling point for us as we were not comfortable with having our household goods moved multiple times through warehouses. We were assured that not only would we have an exclusive truck, but that the goods would be wrapped in plastic and blankets would be used to protect everything. In a 2 hour zoom call with the sales person, we reviewed everything that was in the house. We were given a quote of $8400 for a 1500 cubic -foot truck, and we paid a deposit of $3768. We were told after the zoom call that there would be plenty of room on the truck and that my wife could even go buy things if she wanted. The direct truck is what sold us.
As the move approached a contractor with “quality assurance“ from Movesafe contacted us. He told us from the information that he had received, he knew nothing about what was being moved. Even though we had done the comprehensive video. He knew nothing about that. We spent the better part of two hours on the phone describing everything in the house in great detail. We measured nearly everything heights and widths. Why were doing it via phone and not with video technology we had no idea. That was their process, that’s what they wanted to do. At the end of that two hour session we were told we really had 2100 ft.³ and that the pick up truck would take the goods to New Jersey where they would then be loaded on a van for transportation to California. He asked us if the new house would accommodate a moving van. We told him absolutely not. That’s one of the reasons we were insisting on a small truck in the first place.
At that point we were in shock! I immediately tried to call the salesman, but was immediately blocked from talking to him. I finally got to the supervisor of Dispatch. I explained to him what had happened. After lots of discussion, he said that he would get authorization for a 30 foot truck and that he would personally make sure that the move went smoothly from here on out. He gave me his phone number and told us he would be following up personally. The price however had now gone from $8400 originally quoted to over $14,400. The dispatcher said he couldn’t reduce the price but that he could be sure that the move went smoothly from here on out. At this point we were trapped. The move was very close and we didn’t want to start over.
When the movers arrived on move day, they loaded our goods into a single small truck. We asked the driver if he would be driving the goods to California. He informed us no, the goods would be going to New Jersey where they would be consolidated on full-size moving van to go to California. Once again we were shocked. At that point everyone at Movesafe Relocation basically ghosted me. The dispatcher would not return my text or phone calls. The goods were actually being taken by Elite Van lines. I looked at reviews for Elite, and there were many very bad reviews. There was really nothing we could do at this point. I never heard from Movesafe again until I called them a week later trying to find out where the goods were. I had tried calling Elite van Lines, but I got no return phone calls.
Finally I reached the manager of Customer Service at Movesafe who told me that the goods were in fact in California and would be delivered in the next day or two. We received a call from the driver on a Monday night saying that he would be delivering the goods the next day at 7 PM. We told him that our housing development was too small for a large van. We had already made this clear during the earlier confusion. The driver told us that if the van wouldn’t fit in there, they would have to rent a smaller U-Haul truck, and there would be a additional charge for that. Once again we were shocked. We called the dispatcher and were told that we needed to come up with another $1300 in addition to the $4200 that we already needed in order for them to deliver our goods. If we didn’t have all the cash, they would put the goods in storage and start charging us a daily storage fee.
At this point this whole move was beyond ridiculous. The movers finally showed up at 8:45 PM. It was dark. They were literally throwing stuff off the truck. We could hear things falling. My wife was in tears, I tried calling Movesafe because they had told me they had a 24 hour hotline, they answered the phone, but no one ever got back to me. The movers left a total mess. No one from Movesafe ever contacted me. I tried for days to get through to the customer service manager. I emailed requesting a phone call, never got it.
Finally I ended up holding for 30 minutes and got through to her. At this point they were offering me $500 via email as compensation for this total nightmare. I was told by the customer service manager that I would have to sign an NDA saying that I would not malign MoveSafe on any websites or social media. I couldn’t believe that they were offering hush money payments to cover up their horrible service. I refused. I have decided that I’m going to go on as many sites as I can and leave reviews. I really think these business practices need to be stopped. If I can save even a few consumers from the nightmare that we’ve been through, I will be very happy. I’ve made over 20 moves in my life, and this was unequivocally the worst. These people are basically bait and switch scam artists. In my opinion, this is out and out fraud. I don’t know how they exist honestly.

Should have read more of their reviews and gone with my gut. They lowball (and not by a little). Sales guy - Nick ** is a smooth talking con artist. Nothing he told me was true and my $11,000 quote cost me $21,000 in the end. The guy tried to convince me we could move a 5 bedroom home with 30 boxes and in one 28’ truck and 1500 cubic feet of truck space. Was charged for over 200 boxes and a second truck. Stuff is loaded and taken to warehouses, off loaded and then reloaded in a semi to be delivered. 24/7 emergency number a total joke and the minute the scam is on you’ll never hear from Nick again. Simply put - just don’t use Move Safe or any “broker” for your long distance move.

Horrible service, their ETA has been incorrect for 4 days in a row. We are still waiting for delivery and when the delivery will actually be taking place. We do not even know where our things are. This is so disturbing!!!!

MOVE SAFE Relocation is a scam operation. They seem very friendly- don't be fooled. We spent several hours on the phone measuring furniture and counting boxes. They even looked through each room of the house via the online posting of our home sale and discussed the size of the move, and obtained a price. Then on the next call just before the move, the price was increased by over $2,000. On the day of the move when the truck showed up, the cost rose again over $3,000. Our original quote of $5858.42 went to $10,178.85 ON THE DAY OF OUR MOVE. We were told it was a choice of not moving or doing the move. I called the customer service line and was told they would need ten days to review. No return call. I called again and they said they would "resolve by the end of the week". Then I learned the storage of our household would now be doubled because of the additional cubit feet they discovered.
We arranged to have our things moved to a storage facility nearer our ultimate move. We were told to expect a call 4-21 days of the day they would arrive. In the meantime, a family member passed away and we were unable to connect with anyone to find out if there was a chance they would come if we were gone for the funeral. THESE PEOPLE are not reliable or accurate in estimates. They do not follow through as they promise. DO NOT WORK with them. They advertise "stressfree" moving and "great communication". The truth is, they have taken what we understood to be a good plan into a nightmare. They have cost our family money we did not plan on and have worried us about the safety and integrity of our home furnishings and personal effects. NO STARS. Only a WARNING.

This is a moving broker company, nothing was true that Shane told me, said there wasn’t going to be a up charge, they also will 4 square you like a used car salesman, first up charge was when I requested a second virtual inventory, that one was 3000.00 more than when the movers showed up, they said I was over in my cubic feet by 1200, that up charge was over 4000.00, the company they sent was Seven Generation Moving and Storage, they loaded 2 Trucks on a Sunday, asked when I could receive the load, I said Wednesday to give me enough time to get there before them, didn’t hear from them by Wednesday, called the company twice without a return call, called MoveSafe, stayed on hold for 30 minutes, was told that was normal and they had no idea when my stuff was going to arrive, well I finally got a text from the that it was going to be 2-4 more days before it will arrive.
10 days later I finally got my things, come to find out my stuff had been transferred to other trucks in the process, looks like they just threw the box, no matter what it was, they caved in the box with my 75 inch TV and broke the screen, dented up the whole top of my husband’s BBQ, broke the side table of the other BBQ, dented up our garage cabinets, broke 1 of my kitchen chairs and banged up all 4 sides of my dining room table, some of my boxes looked like they were drug behind the truck, whoever did the transfer absolutely had no regard to damaging whatever he touched some of it looks intentional, our blower is missing, haven’t gone through everything yet, this has been the worsts experience ever, MoveSafe will just collect your money then ignore you. Pay a little more, go directly to a legitimate company and know when you are receiving your stuff.

MoveSafe Relocation is a sham! This is NOT a moving company -- it is a moving broker whose employees are script-trained to con customers out of thousands of dollars. After MoveSafe takes your money as a "reservation/deposit," they will contract with a no-name, shifty group of people with a truck who will show up late, require several thousand more dollars in cash or on-the-spot personal check, and then give you a run-around about loading the truck and delivering your household goods and valuables. If you try to call MoveSafe for support or customer service, you will get nowhere -- just more script and runaround. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! It is a sham and should be shut down.

Tldr - Ultimately, my items made it to the destination, so they met the bare minimum of my expectations. Would not recommend for value to cost perspective. Would hire freight company directly rather than a broker. Positives of the experience include:
1. Movesafe client facing staff were polite - Movesafe is a broker who coordinates for freight companies who are the ones that actually do the work. The Movesafe staff coordinating the original contract were positive, well spoken, and detailed.
2. Responsive for M-F business hours - Their team does respond to calls and genuinely seem to work to coordinate the move for you.
3. All items were delivered - Movesafe has a network of freight companies they partner with, so they can choose one that matches your route, and know how they operate, they can choose the ones that are best suited to get the job done out of all the ones out there. As a broker, they do need to balance your experience, and revenue for both themselves and the freight company.
The main shortcomings from my experience, ordered by my priorities, are as follows.
1. Overpromise, underdeliver on delivery date - I was reassured on multiple occasions, that my items would be likely delivered within a certain time frame. I asked about this specifically to arrange my family’s travel plans when I saw that the contract showed the acceptable legal range for the distance of our move to be 2-14 days. As that is quite a range, I asked when pick up needed to be to have arrival closest to my target date. I followed their recommendations but my items were not even on the truck until 2 days after my target delivery date. My family camped in our new home for 5 nights before our items arrived because they kept making it sound like delivery was imminent.
2. Changing contracts - part of issue 1 was due to changes in the contract throughout the process. The first quote was the most favorable with my target date, and each subsequent quote (their “quality check” and finally the actual cost upon arrival of movers) became progressively worse. They dropped my target delivery date after initial down payment, and ignored all requests to confirm the original target date. The quality check raised the price by ~50%, and the final cost on move day added the same amount. My final cost ended up at double the original quote. Part of this was me - I needed more square footage than expected - but it was within the normal range for a 3 bedroom home.
If you are like me, you don’t know how many square feet your possessions take up, but as a moving company, they should. It seems they quote at the low end of the bell curve, knowing that by the move date, any extras will be charged at a premium rate. I was stuck at that point with all the down payments, so I had to accept that higher rate. I did not appreciate that.
3. Not Cost Competitive - at its core, Movesafe does not own a single truck or employ a driver because they are a moving broker. They are a middle man that connects to the actual freight company, and that means you pay extra for their friendly front. Once you are in the door, the company that actually does your move has their own terms and policies that supersedes what Movesafe states originally (this lead to confusion on acceptable payment. Don’t trust what is originally stated). The moving team are regular people, who work hard, and at times can make mistakes with handling of furniture. Some try to be friendly, some were spiteful with moving in the heat.
The friendly fascade of Movesafe is nowhere to be seen once the actual freight company shows up. There was not a peep from anyone after I recorded all the items that broke along the way. After I learned how many times my items were loaded and unloaded before actual delivery, I wasn’t surprised items were damaged, but I was surprised there was no attempt by Movesafe to make it right.
I took some time to process before writing this review as I was deeply upset during the actual move. After having time to reflect on the whole moving experience, I can say that they will move your items in a non-exceptional manner to your destination, but for anyone with more than an apartment or a short move, you are better off working directly with a freight company you research. Search the fmcsa.dot.gov website to assess freight companies in your area and pay attention to their complaints and fleet size.

Do not use this company! We experienced a “bait and switch." My husband did an hour long video walkthrough of our 3/2 home and they quoted us approx $10,000. 3 days before our move, they called to go over details, and told me to have a tape measure. I measured every piece of furniture in our house and told them how many boxes and what size they were. They acted like it was a complete surprise to them, that we had so much stuff and large items (even though my husband had done a video walkthrough). They quoted us $16,000 and I told them they basically trapped us. Because we had to move in 3 days, we didn't have a choice but to pay their fee, which was $6,000 over the estimate.
THEN the day the movers came to pack us up, same thing. They acted completely surprised by the amount of items (even though I had given them the number of boxes and measured every piece of furniture.). They said it would be over $21,000 to move. We had to pay it- we had no choice. It was $11,000 over the original estimate.

If I could give negative stars I would. Their name should be Move SCAM! Never in my life have I had such a horrible experience. This is from someone that has moved to 11 different states. From Nate to Amanda to Michael -nothing but lies come their mouths. Expect to pay almost 3x their quote!

We relocated from CA to NY. We got a pricey quotes, then Jonathon called me from MoveSafe. I told him we had 40 boxes and 23 odd items for 63. He gave a good quote, about $1,200 less. Five days before I gave a list of 55, 8 less than the quote was given for.. It was not supposed to go piggy back with other movers, but did. 2 days before our departure, movers show up, and say our now 8 less items is now $1,300 more because it is now 500 cubic ft, so removing 8 items increased the cubic ft by 200. So we wound up paying more than we would've spent without being lied to. They picked up our belongings on 4/29 and took them to Vegas, then on 5/20, different movers brought them to us in NY. The movers themselves from both companies were great. The scam starts with MoveSafe. When they joke about "I know it sounds too good to be true" it was. Don't believe them.

After not getting a returned phone call for three days with only two days until the scheduled move, we were told they would be here by 10:00 AM today so we called to find out the truck wasn't running right so they had to get another truck and would be here by 3:00. Remember we had to call them to find out this information. On top of this they said it would cost 700.00 more dollars when they arrive here. Just sloppy business. For an elderly person yo have to deal with this is wrong, stressed enough about the move anyway and to have this uncertainty lingering around is just more added stress. I'm not even going to give them 1 star. I'm sorry but very disappointed.

Was given an initial quote for services. When truck showed up I was told it would be $1000 more than original quote and I had less furniture than I had originally was quoted for. I literally had to be out of the house in a few hours as the new owner was moving in. I tried calling the company and there was no answer. I have spent several hours on the phone and emailing trying to get this straightened out but there is nothing they will do about it. Would never recommend this company. Very unprofessional.

This company is a scam. For the original quote it was very thorough and comprehensive - going through everything I would have to move. At the time of the quote I did not know the amount of boxes I would have - the sales rep, Andres, stated that 30 boxes is a large amount and that would be more than enough. And that more than likely my quote/price would decrease. I ended up with 15 more boxes, however, there was no communication or explanation of how much this would increase the cost of the move. What was a $2900 quote ended up being $4900 and I was told about this increase only 5 days before my move so I am stuck. This is unbelievably unethical, deceptive, and predatory - they are a scam and I will never use them again.

I am disappointed so far. I wanted to share my experience so far and tell you to go directly to a moving company. I have a similar experience to a few of the other customers that have rated poorly. First, when I got the initial call from them, I had may a list of items that needed moving so I read it off to the gentleman on the other end of the phone. He then asked me to hold while he got me the quote. He came back with a very reasonable quote so I went with them. You pay a portion of the bill on that day. The gentleman was very friendly and was extremely helpful.
Second, I got a phone call from another gentleman about 5 days prior to moving and he stated that we needed to go over everything to make sure they had the right truck size coming to move my items. I went over the same list with him again however this time he said the truck on order was not going to accommodate all my items as I was increasing the size needed. This was not true. I went over the very same list I had originally read to him. Now my bill has literally doubled. I went from $2500 to $4400.
Now at this point I don’t I don't have any other option but to - use them as when I asked about cancelling, I was told I would not get all my money back. He also kept quoting the contract that I had signed and when I had reread the contract I could not find that anywhere. The gentleman on this call was not as friendly or accommodating. I am a 70 year old senior woman and can’t do Uhaul any longer. I relied on their honesty and integrity that their website declares. My move happens this weekend and I will keep you posted….

The salesperson was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable. He provided us with a very reasonable quote which is why we went with them. When it came time for the move and they called us with the final list of items there were things that we know we told them were there (the couch for example) but somehow these items did not make it onto their list and then the price was increased by almost $1200. We had the final list and was told how much space in the truck it would take up and then when the movers picked up the items they took up more space than allotted and the movers added more money on to the bill.
When I compared the list of what the movers loaded and what Move Safe had on the final list it was correct but somehow they didn't figure the space correctly. When all was said and done it ended up costing double what the initial quote was. The moving company showed up on time and it took them a week to get everything delivered but we were very unhappy with the money part and there is nothing they can do. At one point we were supposed to get a $50 credit and I have asked about that several time and it still has not been given back to us.

I am a female in 20s and their QA was not afraid to shame me emotionally and passively. Would highly recommend to AVOID. I got a phone call from this company while I was looking to move from East Coast to Mid-west. It was very stressful process as I thought having broker company would help with actually getting stuff figured out with moving company, but no. I had to explain myself repeatedly to both this company and the actual moving company (which I did like talking directly to the moving company than going through Movesafe).
#1 QA is not afraid of pulling "oh I'm sorry you didn't read the fine prints when you signed the paper"... As I did, couldn't find where it was written, asked them to screenshot the part and send over, never responded and annoying. It was along the line of "please send me a screenshot stating that lower volume of items will be combined with other mover's truck" - whatever the reason may be (prob cost related), it was not explicitly stated, and when I called to understand/potentially speed up the moving process, the guy who called himself a QA said was "Oh it's on the paper, you just didn't read it". Umm... Still waiting for the email response with screenshot.
Not only that, I couldn't get the actual follow up from Movesafe to a simple request as getting a form from the moving company due to damaged furniture during transit. I re-followed up directly with the moving company, and they were able to help out, even how to submit the claim. Only embarrassment and annoyance, blockage of communications experienced with this broker company.

MoveSafe Relocation did an amazing job in assisting us move our furniture yesterday. They arrived on time, polite, helpful, and worked around my timetable perfectly. I highly suggest this moving company! I moved last Monday and they gave me the best moving quote. They showed up on time, packed up the truck in about 40 minutes to an hour and took about the same amount of time to unload. They were very conversational, quick, careful with fragile boxes I had, and even give an opportunity for to tighten up some loose screws on some of my furniture. What truly sets MoveSafe Relocation apart is their dedication to customer satisfaction. They addressed all concerns punctually and went above and beyond to accommodate my specific needs. Moving can be very stressful. When I went online to look for a moving company and started getting phone calls I noticed something strange about most of the calls I received. Every agent asked me what I was quoted from each company so they could come in lower than the others. Until I spoke with Michael **. He went over every detail from A-Z and never asked me what other companies quoted me, this was the price for what we needed and that’s it. I knew I found my company right then and there.
