How MoveSafe Relocation works
To get a quote for your move, you can call or fill out a form online. You’ll have to provide your name and contact information and details about your move, including the date, pickup and drop-off locations, and the number of rooms. If you use the online form, you’ll see an inventory sheet where you can select items you need moved.
Once the MoveSafe team has all this information, the company will contact you with a quote. If you’re happy with the cost, you can book your move with the assigned carrier.
If you need to change your booking, you can cancel within 72 hours of making the reservation without penalty. If you’ve paid a nonrefundable deposit and cancel after 72 hours, you will receive a credit in the amount of the deposit to put toward another move. The credit expires after 12 months.

Yes, you can cancel your reservation with MoveSafe. According to the company’s refund policy, you can cancel without penalty within 72 hours of booking if you notify the company by emailing cancel@movesaferelocation.com.
If you cancel after this period and your carrier charges a nonrefundable deposit, you’ll receive a credit for the amount of your deposit. This credit may be applied to future moving services and expires after 12 months.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after my recent interstate move from Alabama to California, I feel obligated to share my experience so others can make an informed decision. What should have been an exciting relocation for a new job became one of the most stressful experiences I’ve ever had. Throughout the move I encountered repeated issues, that honestly began with whom they decided to broker (unbeknownst to me until they arrived to my home). They have little to no standards on who they decide to hire (1 star rated everywhere) then wash their hands of accountability for all of the poor service and experience. They even have an alternative number (that they never discuss or inform you of) where inevitable price change attempts must be directed to them so they can “help negotiate”. It was on a Saturday and no one answered. Yet they have record of my call, but said the right one wasn’t called so “nothing we can do”.
(The New company RELO Van Lines LLC upcharged me an extra 8k for no reason other than the truck they chose to bring and admitted they didn’t look at the inventory list). They proceeded to then damage a significant amount of my personal property. My 83 inch tv is damaged beyond repair, My door-in/door fridge is also broken, they didn’t bring all the pieces to my daughters big bunk bed (and no effort to locate or rectify the situation), they broke my king footboard, broke my weight bench, broke my punching bag, broke the leg off of my rotating book case, and brought some fire ants in from wherever they store my belongings.
Worst off, they told me at signing insurance was going to cover any possible damage, however, it turns out they only cover $0.60 per pound of whatever property is damaged. I have well over $10,000 worth of damage and in a horrible situation of total loss. I am sharing this experience is not to complain, but to document what occurred and encourage the company to take responsibility for the service it provided as well as warn others.

*BEWARE* Communication is horrible!!! I called several times for days to try and get update on when my stuff would arrive. For days I was told someone would out to dispatch to get that update. No one ever called me back. I spoke to man named Michael on one of those days and he was rude, dismissive and no help. The move ended up being double what I was quoted. My experience with this company was extremely disappointing. They provided me with a quote, and after I paid a $1,500 deposit and signed the agreement, the subcontractor they hired tried to charge me significantly more than the agreed price. Changing the price at the last minute is completely unacceptable. The entire process was stressful and unprofessional. Instead of honoring the original estimate, they expected me to pay additional charges after I had already planned my move around the agreed cost. This left me scrambling to find another moving company with very little time. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Be very careful before paying a deposit, and make sure they will honor the price they quote you. My experience was marked by poor communication, lack of transparency, and misleading business practices.

The company sold me a service that was completely different from what they actually delivered, and every step of the process was filled with deception, negligence, and disrespect. First, they changed the price three times on the day of the move. My original quote was under $4,000, and they tried to charge me almost $9,000 without ever measuring anything properly. Even the driver admitted that the numbers they were using were wrong and that they “never measured” the load. They eventually lowered the square footage because they knew they were inflating it. The truck arrived six hours late, and the crew even asked if they could come the next day because they were “tired.” They also showed up with the wrong truck, already loaded with other people’s belongings, so my things didn’t fit. They had to take part of my items to a warehouse and come back later. This alone shows how disorganized and careless the operation is.
They also ran out of control tags while loading my belongings and told me “they weren’t necessary.” If they’re not necessary, why use them at all? How are customers supposed to track their items? This lack of control is exactly why things get lost. The company originally emailed me claiming they were part of the BBB and that the move would be handled by 1st Class Moving and Storage. That was a lie. They are not BBB accredited, and they do not send 1st Class movers. They subcontract small companies and hide behind the broker model. Even the driver told me directly that MSR “always lies because they’re a broker and never take responsibility for anything.”
When my belongings arrived, several items were broken, scratched, and mishandled. Boxes clearly labeled FRAGILE were placed under heavier boxes, causing glassware and other delicate items to break. This is basic moving care, and they failed it completely. To make matters worse, I received items that were not even on my inventory but that were mine and the responsible of loading the truck assured me that he was adding all the items when I saw that they were loading the truck and they were not writing down anything, proving they don’t know what belongs to whom. This is exactly how people’s belongings get lost or mixed up.
This company presents itself as serious, trustworthy, and “BBB approved,” but the reality is the opposite. They misled me, overcharged me by more than 50%, delivered a chaotic and unprofessional service, and now I am left with damaged belongings and a terrible experience. I expect them to pay for the damages — even if it’s the minimal amount they offer — because they misrepresented their service, lied about their affiliations, and failed to deliver a professional move. Customers deserve honesty, respect, and basic care, none of which I received. I do not recommend this company under any circumstances.

Zero stars if I could. My experience with MoveSafe Relocation was terrible from start to finish. This company is a broker, not the actual moving company, and that fact was not made clear during the sales process. I was originally told that a specific moving company would be handling my move. At the last minute, MoveSafe switched to an entirely different company without my knowledge or approval. The pricing was another major problem. We completed a detailed inventory twice before moving day, yet when the movers arrived, they walked through the house and demanded significantly more money than the quoted price. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch.
The final issue involved my pool table. Before booking, I specifically confirmed with MoveSafe that my pool table would be professionally disassembled, moved, and reassembled. When the movers arrived, they informed me they could not move the pool table at all, despite that service being part of the agreement I made with MoveSafe. I was left scrambling to find another solution on moving day. Moving is already one of life's most stressful experiences. You shouldn't have to deal with changing moving companies, unexpected price increases, and commitments that aren't honored. There is nothing "safe" about MoveSafe Relocation. Save yourself the stress and do business with a company that stands behind its promises.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!! This company is a bunch of crooks. They grossly misquoted us and took our money!!! We are out 1700 dollars right before moving out of state.

MoveSafe Relocation is a SCAM moving broker company. One of the "owners" (ours was Phil) will have an initial call with you and do the typical salesman **, lying to you, giving you a low quote and taking an initial deposit from you. Once they call you prior to your move date to confirm everything, they will tell you a totally different quote and request another deposit from you. They don't even ask for exact measurements of your items to give you an exact quote because once they get that second deposit from you, their work is done and don't care AT ALL what happens to your belongs on your move. Not to mention the woman, Nicole, who we spoke to could not have been more rude to us. When we attempted to call Phil to discuss how we felt that he lied to us on his personal cell number that he gave "to call anytime with questions" he answered the phone, said "hold on one second" and sent us over to "customer service" who was also rude.
When our move date came, a completely different moving company showed up (6 hours after the window of time they gave us) and started adding on more unexpected expenses. MoveSafe Relocation doesn't even tell you the name of the moving company who is actually going to be doing the WORK and packing/moving your belongs so you can understand the total amount you'll owe in the long run. We ended up paying double what our initial quote was from Phil. The moving company who came for our stuff also is allowed to hold your belongings legally for 30 days! There was zero mention of this when we talked to Phil or any of the other rude employees at MoveSafe Relocation. You're better off going directly to a moving company who does the move themselves or getting a UHaul. This scam business got thousands of dollars for us for doing NOTHING but add stress to our move. Steer clear!
