    Updated on 09/09/2021: Eagle Moving Group followed up with us to help with issue by intervening with the subcontractor. It's still a problem with the actual subcontractor, pending the resolution that Eagle Moving Group negotiates with them.

    Original Review: Eagle Moving Group Inc subcontracted our move to a company called Moving Van Line Solutions. They told us that this was their best subcontractor. Well, Moving Van Line Solutions did over $2,000 of damage to our things, we assume because my wife didn't tip them (for good reason). Many of the boxes were busted open (WIDE), they broke lamps and cabinets. They even destroyed a box spring. I would swear they took a sledgehammer to it. Collectibles are no longer of any value because of the damage that was done to them. Bottom line, they offered us $63 in compensation. When I bounced it back to them, they added another $30, for a total of $93. How can they possibly think that adequately covers the damages? DON'T USE EITHER COMPANY OR YOU'LL BE SORRY. By the way, it looks like Eagle Moving Group's website only posts positive reviews. How convenient...

    Our experience with Eagle Moving Group didn’t go well at all. Very misrepresentative of everything. I ended up spending about $2,000 to $3,000 more than they quoted me. They didn't tell me anything as far as being prepared for the move as far as boxes. This guy named Matt told me everything I wanted to hear. But then, I couldn't get ahold of him at all. When I kept calling him and asking him certain questions, he’d never respond. I kept getting a customer service rep that I had to talk to directly. Horrible experience. But the good news was that the mover that they brokered with was a really good guy and he helped us as much as he possibly could. But I would never use Eagle Moving again. I have two other moves planned. I even told the salesperson about that but he never got back to me.

    Good moving service!! The team was professional and on time. I was super tense about having my things damaged or not cared for accurately, but when they arrived I just felt entirely at peace with the whole experience. They were all very alert to my needs, respond all of my questions, and moved my items with the considerable of care. I had various pieces of antique furniture I was so excitable about being damaged, and moving itself is so pressure, but they definitely took great, GENTLE CARE of my belongings and I felt like MY THINGS WERE IN GREAT HANDS. If you're looking for a well founded service with a honest owner who personally sees that you're taken care of - LOOK NO FURTHER. Would recommend and would absolutely use again!

    My experience with this company was fantastic. Jeff went above and beyond trying to help us straighten out a botched moved by another moving company. Not only would I recommend them, but I will use them for every move I may take in the future. They gave me peace of mind and did exactly what they told me they were going to do. There is a lot involved with moving so please read everything in the contact and ask questions, lots of questions. Eagle moving Group will answer all your questions!!

    Excellent moving service and nice guys, I couldn't have demand for superior movers! I wouldn't hesitate to HIRE THIS COMPANY the next time I move, they made the whole process so incredibly simple and uncomplicated and handled all my furniture and private items with care. The entire moving process from requesting a quote to the actual move day was SO COMFORTABLE thanks to responsiveness. The crew were on time for the move day and WORKED HARD to get my move done in just a pair of hours. I can't recommend them highly enough!

    Really satisfied with their service. I used many other companies and was nervous with all the prediction. These guys made it SUPER SIMPLE to work with, they were right on time, moved quick, and got the job done. They even helped me disassemble and get together by bed frame and let me use his power tools which cut the time in less than half. They were cautious and very reasonable. They did not charge anything super excessive for the truck, moving blankets, tapes, etc. which a lot of their competition was quoting me for. HAPPY TO RECOMMEND them to anyone who needs moving in these crazy times.

    Eagle Moving made our move from Jacksonville, FL to Oakland, CA a breeze. The owner was FLEXIBLE right off the bat. He called me immediately and we were able to do a video call the same day. He got back to me with a quote within a few days and was very thorough in his estimate. NO INVISIBLE CHARGES! He answered all my inquiry. After receiving other quotes, it very easy to see who we were moving ahead with. On moving day, the movers showed up on time and moved everything at fast speed, while also TAKING CARE OF OUR PROPERTY. I couldn't be happier with this company. I recommend them many times to my family. In fact my parent are moving with this company coming week. They are simply outstanding from start to finish! Look no more, these guys are the best!

    I had a great experience with Eagle Moving Group. The company was INSTANTLY RESPONSIVE when I reached out, and offered a fair rate for the my move. Authenticate the move was an simple process. They contact me the day prior to the move to present themselves and see if I had everything I needed. They were highly professional from start to finish!     The worst experience I have ever experienced with any company in my life... STAY AWAY FROM EAGLE MOVING & MOVING DEPT (they work together).

    1. Was told delivery would be 7-10 days. My stuff was pick up on June 19 and after 10 days, I called to find out the delivery and was told that my stuff was still in Chicago and did not have an ETA. I called weekly through mid July and was told the same information. I had travel plans on July 21 so I was getting concerned and mentioned this. They did not care and said if I wasn't home, I would be charged a redelivery fee. I contacted Matt who helped me with setting up the move and he said he would get back to me, but never did. NOTE - THEY ARE SUPPOSE TO NOTIFY YOU 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE PRIOR TO DELIVERING YOUR STUFF.

    2. July 20 and still no message, text, email about my stuff, so I leave for my trip on July 21. Well the movers showed up with the delivery to my house at 9:30p (my parents were home). I got on the phone with the delivery driver, who said that he tried to reach me, but never left me a message!!! He told me that I should have answered my phone. I told him that he should have text and left a message, especially since his team knew that I was traveling. All he said was sorry and that I needed to accept the delivery or I would be charged a delivery fee.

    3. The driver argued with me a lot even though it was his mistake about not leaving me a message. I gave into it b/c I didn't have a choice.

    4. Driver asked if my parents could sign for my stuff and I told him no, b/c I wasn't there to verify any damages or missing items. Well, he went ahead and had my parents sign. (It was late for them already and they ended up leaving at 11p, so I never told them not to sign b/c I assumed he would not ask them to.)

    5. I find out the next day from my mom about a plastic container with items in it, so I ask her to send me a photo. Well, the items in the container are not mine! I texted the driver, who told me to send him a picture of the container (there was also a step stool that is not mine) and someone would pick it up in a few days (this was on July 22).

    6. I return from my trip on Aug 6 and the other person's items are still here. Also, I find that the bed wasn't set up correctly (didn't set up all the legs), damages to some of the furniture, shelves for the bookshelf could be installed b/c they lost the pegs, and I was missing stuff (I am sure that they got other persons things swapped with mine).

    7. I call them on Aug. 9 and was told to email another email or call another number. Since I was busy still unpacking, I emailed them some of the details of items I was missing and mentioned the other person's item still here. I had to follow up with them again on Aug. 12 b/c no one reached out to me.

    8. The customer service rep argued with me stating that it was also my fault that the delivery people showed up unannounced b/c I should have answered my phone. I explained that I receive a lot of spam calls and do not answer (like most of us do nowadays and reiterated that VM was left). She then argued that she sent an email to me on July 18 stating my stuff was on the way. I asked her to forward me the email b/c I never received it (I looked everywhere in my email) but stated that it would not have the original email sent, so I know it was a lie, an email was never sent. I looked at the email she supposedly sent and it stated my stuff would arrive 1-10 days from then, so still no communication that my stuff was going to be deliver on July 21!

    9. So I emailed the customer rep all the details/pictures on the items damaged, what I was missing and the other person's belongings. She said she would set up a pick up in a few days. Well it is now Aug 26 (I spoke to them on Aug 12), and I still have this person's belongings and no update as to where is my stuff. I emailed the customer service rep on Aug. 18 asking what is happening and have not heard back.

    This was the first time I had appoint movers to move my apartment. I was moving into a LATEST BUILDING that had a lot of mover's condition which I was worried about but THEY helped me through the complete moving process. They were SUPER REACTIVE right from the first call I had with them. My moving team was great throughout the process. They were friendly, well organized, thoughtful, fair and cooperative. They don't try to charge you for things based on some irresponsible technicality which I've read a lot of other movers do. The charges are VERY TRANSPARENT right from when you book the move.

    Truly a positive experience. From the minute I mailed to see if they were CONVENIENT, they got back to me straight away and made me feel at ease about the move ahead. They finished the move carefully and politely. I was nervous because the storage unit we were moving out of was up a LONG LADDER, and we had a not a good experience moving into it earlier in the summer. They didn't disagree a bit and were FLAWLESS in navigating a very tight space. I would not hesitate to use them again.

    They went far off my expectations. The movers were able to speedily and ACCURATELY EVACUATE my apartment on the 3rd floor with stairs only. The were immensely organized and very professional. They arrived on time, and quickly judge the items to move, then QUICKLY BEGAN TO MOVE. They were thoughtful of my furniture. When they empty the truck, they were mindful of the parking situation, and mindful of loading furniture and asked where to place boxes. This was a marvelous, no hassle, seamless, and impressive moving experience.

    They moved my 3 bedroom house in 4.5 hours. They are SO DILIGENT and never took a rest. They are so powerful and speedy. I couldn't have done this move without Eagle Moving Group. The price was clear and they did not annoyance me for tips, but I wanted to tip them! How could I not when they were WORKING SO HARD. I never want to move again, but if I do I will definitely call them.

    In regards to this review, I would not give this company 2 stars. I was extremely pleased with their ability to respond to my emergency situation in a timely manner. Although they had just returned from a long haul, they still packed from 10 am until 4 am the next morning to meet my deadline. Their demeanor remained pleasant and upbeat regardless of the tediousness of the job. I have not had the chance to unpack all my belongings as of yet and yes there were some damages noted. Ordinarily I would be extremely upset but under the circumstances that I presented them with, I can see where I may have been a factor to some degree.

    I had already arranged another company and they never showed up. I had to hire someone that could get me moved out the next day so that we could be able to make it to closing. Eagle said they would do it and charged me $18,000. The crew was really nice, however, they have not been taught how to pack. I have several items that were broken and I haven't even started going through all the stuff that they put in my shed.

    My mom had two sets of floor marble statuettes and they were put in the same box with some flowers and they were not wrapped or anything. They're totally destroyed. My mama had those for years, so I'm a little bit upset about that. And my leather living room set is destroyed. I'm going to have to get rid of it because I cannot have my furniture torn up like that. I was so grateful that they were able to come and do it at the last minute. But from what damage I have seen so far, I'm just blown away. I didn't even get an inventory sheet, so I can't list off on the inventory what they damaged. I'm upset, especially considering how much I paid.

    Also, they originally told me I had to have my stuff delivered by the 20th or they would charge me $1,200 a month to store my stuff. I went and ran through all these hoops to make sure I can get it done by the 20th. I sent them an email and told them that I wanted to have my stuff delivered on the 14th, which was that Saturday, a week before the last day that I could do this. Eagle told me they don't have a driver then but to schedule it before the 20th. Then, they told me they would do it on the 24th.

    I was expecting someone to call me to give me an idea what time they were coming but Eagle was not helpful in regards to giving me any follow-up. They said they couldn’t let me know when the movers would arrive and I just have to be here all day. That's ridiculous. If you're scheduling me for a given date, you should be able to give me some kind of information as to when I can expect them to show up. It irritated me because my whole day was lost.

    I knew they were upset because I was calling trying to get an update and at the same time, I knew that there was a possibility everything wouldn’t make it in the shed. I had other people that would want to come and pick up some stuff from me so that we could have the room to make sure everything fit into the shed but I couldn't tell them the time. I didn't want them to go and rent trucks to get furniture when they weren't gonna be there. It sort of messed up everything.

    First this place is a total scam, and the positive reviews you see on here are from current employees or friends. Check out their complaints on BBB and also with the FMCSA. They are brokers and they under estimate your space requirements to beat out any competing quote you might have. My quote increased 50% from the first estimate, and about 35% from the second estimate they gave me which was through a video call to verify the space. One week prior to pick up they have someone from their "QA" department reach out to you to validate your space, you guessed it. Your quote will increase more due to under quoted space. This time it is too late to request a refund on your deposit and in many cases too late to find a new mover.

    Also they are required by law to provide you a list of the moving companies they work with. This did not happen for me. The movers they use are horrible. I was lucky enough to have MoverVan Lines and they were horrible. Broken TV, table, refrigerator, the list goes on. Way more to replace my good than the move itself. Some of the damage was just over the top, like breaking off the legs of a table by the bolts and wrapping them in blankets separately. How do you explain that? At all cost take the negative reviews on here the BBB, and the FMCSA seriously. AVOID.

    I used Eagle Moving to move my stuff from my apartment into storage, and can't recommend them SUFFICIENT. From the approximate to the move, the moving group was fabulously professional and straightforward to work with. On moving day, the team of great movers were quick and I ADMIRE the call the day before to make sure I was all ready for the move. The movers also help out move a bunch of OLD FURNITURE to the sidewalk to pick up, which was in fact appreciated.

    Best movers we've ever appoint! The team was really amazing. We were moving to a home with a lot of stairs and the move comprise a sleeper sofa and a grand piano. The crew control everything without complaint. All things was moved without any damage. They took the time to CORRECTLY PACKED up all our items and put everything back together once everything was transport to the new home. They made the move as EASY AS POSSIBLE and were friendly.     I had a REMARKABLE EXPERIENCE with Eagle Moving Group last Friday. They arrived on time, impressive, and practically over the top on making sure that all of my thing were fully secured with plastic package, quilt, and boxes. I had a crew for people and each one of them wore a mask the whole time they were in my home. All of the fixtures was taken apart and put back together superbly. NO DISAPPOINTMENT AT ALL.     The gentlemen who came to pick up the packages were in and out in 15 minutes. Then three weeks later, the stuff arrived in Vail, Colorado without issue. I didn't have that much stuff but they were awesome and considerate. They were quick and wonderful. I gave them each $100 tip because they were so nice and efficient. People should use Eagle Moving Group. We used a few movers for this move and they were the best out of all the movers. They numbered every box with little papers. The other moving companies we used, which were much bigger moves to Florida, did not number the boxes.

    I had reserved with another moving company that promises they would come the beginning of July. They never showed. I panic dialed through all the other movers I had spoken to and got ahold of Matt at Eagle. They were able to get me picked up the next day. Now I needed a lot of packing so I had to pay a little extra but they did a great job. I did have one or two scratches on this one bookshelf that I have. Other than that would highly recommend.

    Really awesome! They called me this dawn to tell me they were about 15 minutes away. They were very helpful and commune at every step. These guys worked SO VIGOROUS and was revolutionary ways to make the most out of space. They were WELL DRESSED and INSPIRED about how to solve the situations that arise while moving. Very active and happy to do the work. My life is disordered right now getting my house ready to sell and these movers made acquire my furniture moved for the carpet fitting very easy.     Very sincere, EFFORTLESS and hard-working guys. They were marvelous. Our home had 3 STORIES and lots of solid and sensitive glass stuff. The owner of the company, was part of the moving team and exceeding our expectations. Leave cartons off the week ahead of our move date so we could pack and working 12 hrs the day of our move to get it all done. We learn about EMG from a friend who also had a WONDERFUL experience with them. We were very impressed we found this company.

    Shady, suspicious, borderline criminal organization. They are NOT a moving company. They take your money and then hire 1 or 2 star moving companies to make the actual delivery. Multiple movers showed up to my house to collect my delivery, each one confused that the order had already been picked up. Then they throw your belongings in a warehouse for a few weeks until they have enough deliveries to fill a semi truck so that they can ship all the deliveries in bulk. In other words, they don't move your belongings until it is profitable for them, regardless of whatever estimate they may have provided. A delivery meant to take two weeks took FIVE in my case, and when every time I called to enquire as to the status of my delivery they claimed that the truck driver "could not be reached" and that they would call back when they could verify their location.

    I called them EVERY DAY for three weeks straight and they never ONCE called back with more information. Upon delivery several of my belongings (the most expensive ones, computers, consoles, etc) were MISSING, and another client's belongings were delivered to me instead. The company did not care and refused to catalog the belongings I had received in error, leaving me to try and find out who they belong to. Also the company tried to double charge me for pickup and attempted to raise the rates several times. This company is a SCAM. Please do not use.

    I hired these guys to move my apartment that we have been living in for many years to a NEW HOUSE we purchase. This team is first class, powerful and efficient all around! These guys were friendly throughout the move and arrived on time as quoted. They first do a walkthrough and make a plan about how to move what and when. They dismantle and bubble wrapped furniture and reassemble where required. I thought I had some heavy carton but they go and pick up more than one at a time and keep moving without taking break!

    WOW!!! What an unbelievable experience. The guys from EMG just complete the moving process of my family and I and I am REALLY INSPIRED.     I approach Eagle Moving Group for a fast move of a very weighty sofa bed from the loft to the bottom floor of my home. Every other moving company had a hourly minimum and would not arrange for my SPECIAL NEED that would take under an hour. After reaching out, it took a little under an hour to receive a reasonable quote and set up a APPROPRIATE TIME. The movers arrived on time and professional, they wrapped the old sofa and took off the legs and were able to get it down some very small stairs without any scratch. They also offered to carry up my new sofa and dismantle it and set it up for me.

    The rep was able to schedule me in a short amount of time and that worked out well. The quote, on the other hand, was another thing. I was quoted one number and when the driver showed up, the number was $300 higher. All of sudden, they came and said that it was gonna be this, which was not what they told me. I’m a business person. If you tell me a price, that’s the price. I said that I’m paying this and that’s what I’m paying, and Eagle Moving should figure it out. Because in the end, I was holding the money. The guy said I would need to pay this amount to the driver when he drops my stuff and I told him that I would pay them what I was told to pay originally and I‘ll hold the other money and they figure it out. All of a sudden, I got a $250 credit in my checking account. So, whoever it works on, it works. I didn’t care. I was still holding the money.

    I was a little disappointed. But I also know too, from being a business person and doing business, you never pay everything upfront. That was a case right there where I was holding the last card and somebody had to give in. The other thing is one of the furniture, which was the jewelry box, which had custom jewelry, was broken into in the storage facility in Atlanta. I had everything sealed up with a plastic wrap and out of all the pieces of furniture, the plastic wrap was cut on that one. The gentleman who delivered it didn’t cut it during the delivery process, it was cut prior to. Somebody went into the jewelry box, didn’t find anything and put it back together. But Eagle Moving didn’t do all bad. They just slipped in the end.

    Eagle Movers is only a broker. Once they get their "deposit" they no longer care. The mover explained that our $2,000 deposit went straight to Eagle, and once Eagle received that all communication/payment was through the moving company. He told me not to tell anyone that was how it worked. All contact had to be through Eagle which delayed and caused confusion.

    After our loading window had started they called and left a voicemail to say that it would be the next day. Everything was boxed and ready to go by the time they called, so we were stranded without beds, cooking ability, etc. Had to get a last minute hotel at an exorbitant cost. The movers were terrible, bled on new carpet and other items, left messes everywhere, left items off the truck, took forever to load truck even though everything was all lined up and ready to go in the garage, did nothing but complain, expected a $3,000 cash payment on a Sunday even though that was never a communicated requirement, unhooked washing machine and left the valve partially open with water leaking on new flooring

    We lost two full days of our move due to all of the issues caused by movers and cleaning up their mess (including empty water bottles, tape and packaging supplies, and other garbage that wasn't in the house before they arrived). I wish I could post pictures. We didn't hire the movers, Eagle did. Now neither Eagle nor the movers are responsive. Our stuff is in limbo, and I can't get in touch with anyone. Never again. Do your research so you don't suffer the same treatment. DO NOT TRUST YOUR POSSESSIONS TO EAGLE MOVING GROUP.

They were very easy, stayed in contact and let me know when the people would be calling me. I couldn't be more pleased. I am very satisfied with Eagle Moving Group.     Daniel and Nick with Eagle Moving Group we’re excellent. They scheduled my move and provided me great quotes for the move. I even discussed for packing. The company called as promised a few days before and dispatch even assisted me on when to deliver my daughter's household goods. The only issue we had was when the driver showed up he was late because he stated that he did not realize he was packing, which I went back over the contract with him, so he had to stop for packing materials. He also wanted to charge more for packing. I contacted Eagle Moving Group and informed them what was occurring and they worked with me that night. Eagle Moving Group is a good company and they took my issues and are looking into not using that company to ship again.

    I thank Eagle Moving Group for them willing to assist me. I would still use them because they are a good company. I give Eagle moving a 5 star, but the subcontractor (driver) we would not use because he tried to change the entire moving price and was not prepared for packing and the move. Eagle moving group stands behind their contracts and they are working with me.

    The moving company quoted me 5,200 for the move. 1 week before they raised the price to 7,200 with less pieces. Then when they finally came to pick up the stuff they charged me over 9,000 and I only had a small overage of boxes. Less than 20%. I looked online and found they have done this numerous time to other people. The scam is they underestimate the move to get you to give them a deposit. Then they continue to rack up the prices when you have no recourse. The manager Craig said he has never seen the price go up that much and he said he would get back to me with a resolution. Never heard back from him. These people are criminals and don’t want others to be taken in by their scam.

    Eagle Moving Group's price was better. I found out afterward that they were a brokerage and I didn't like that. But I called my sales guy again and he tried to make me feel better about it, like having different options. I wouldn't like to call 10 million companies to get prices but Eagle Moving Group did all that for me. They were all-around nice and any questions afterwards, the customer service department had been awesome. The crew happened to come on the day that I preferred and I did a walkthrough with them.     Eagle Moving Group rescued me because I had hired another company that took my deposit and never showed up. Eagle was able to pick up my stuff the same day that I called them. The experience went well other than the truck was already going to be half full. I was told that my estimated cubic feet was like 643. There were 700 available on the truck. So, we were able to get everything to fit. But then, the driver spoke with his boss, and when he got off the phone, he said I owed them another $659 for an extra 125 cubic feet. I didn't pay it and I told them, "I was told that I was supposed to pay $3,066 by money order and that's what I paid." Craig was the one that booked the move and he pulled a lot of strings for me. He has been amazing. He was supposed to be working on seeing if they would waive that fee. I haven't heard anything back about it.

    I moved from Montana down to New Mexico. We were able to pack up that same day. I didn't have a place available to move my stuff right into, so they put my stuff in storage. Once my carpet and everything is laid in a rental that I'm going to be getting, we can set up the date. I've been more dealing with customer service at this point. I did send an email to set up the delivery date and I heard back from them on email saying that they were going to work on getting dispatched to work on that delivery date. I'm waiting to hear back from them. Overall, the experience was pretty good. But since I've already been ripped off, I'm so nervous. I'm just like, "I just want my stuff back and I don't want to have to pay anymore."
