PCH is a total rip off. The quality of the merchandise received is far below standard. My husband has been playing with PCH for several years. It was almost an addiction with him. We received a tacky little ring for approximately $32. I sent in our check and asked him to please please not order anything else. We are now being billed for that ring plus something we did not receive. I have called and explained the situation, to no avail.

I sent back a scratcher game piece with my last confirmation number and entry form. The game piece clearly stated scratch off and match winning number and win the prize. I matched the winning number and the prize showing was $25,000.00, and I have yet to be notified of anything. I did everything I was supposed to do so why haven't I been notified? I get tons of PCH crap all the time and I always send it back on time. This is a big deal to me, because I never win anything. Now, I have clearly won and it's a scam. If you're not going to honor the game scratcher tickets, why send them? I'm sure the game piece is long gone! Read it all numerous times to make sure.

About the last four e-mails you have sent me, I can't send the confirmation back to you. This one was supposed to send capital initials, but it will let me type the “D” but not the “K” here. It did, but not the certificate. I am getting mad about not being able to reply. This probably makes about the 30 e-mails you have sent me that I have kept, all saying I'm a winner. Yet, you’re still sending me stuff. Fix your e-mails if you want confirmation back.

I wish you would give to people that need it the most because I know the people that have won have not sweated like I have. You let me down twice already. I get continuous mailings and emails that I am currently the winner if I respond in time. However, they claim that you don't have to order to win, yet I get emails that they have noticed I haven't ordered anything lately which puts me in jeopardy of winning, so to please place an order. Everything I have ordered in the past, I found, is cheaper buying directly online and is cheaper as they don't add enormous shipping and handling fees. I think this is a total scam!

On top of all the wishful prizes that we are "so close to being won" being dangled in front of our face, they then claimed that we would at least be in a drawing for a smaller type contest in which the prizes were to the tune of around $300 or so. Previously, we had successfully done the scratch off which assures your spot for those prizes. Then we never heard a peep out of anything about it again in the mail or anywhere. And it was never even as far as I could tell evident about who else had won anything to do with that particular game. My father had been trying to win for years and I think they actually had the nerve to give him some kind of plastic child's ring like from a Cracker Jack box. He has since died broke. Now all these years later, my mom and I are going through the same thing with Publishers Clearinghouse nonsense in the mail with "how lucky you can get" routine and that "big win is on the tip of your tongue" jive. I think the way they're misleading people, building their hopes up and repeatedly and then breaking them right down again is getting old and it just doesn't exactly seem right or any kind of ethical way of doing business either.

In late February, I signed up at pch.com under the impression that I was entering for a chance to win $5,000.00 for life. That's it. I was just entering for a chance to be happy with the American Dream to not have money troubles. I have a 2 1/2-year-old son, and I just want to give him a life that was better than mine. That's it. Well, let me tell you. I had no idea all this "baggage" would come with just entering for a simple raffle. About 2 weeks ago, I got a random bill from pch.com for a balance of $30.19 which said I ordered Country USA (16 tons at $19.96, delivery charge $7.99, and tax $2.24) for a total of $30.19. When I called about this, they told me I had ordered Country USA CDs. I never ordered anything from these people, I hung up on them. I was so mad.

And today, oh my gosh, today was it! I received a big box with 10 packs of bag clips and the Lint Lizard inside the box that was sent to me from pch.com. And of course, another bill had come in from them for $15 and some change. And I once again never ordered anything from these people! So I picked up my phone at 1:30pm and talked to some woman named Gloria. She told me that the $30.19 bill was paid for by a collection agency on February 29, which is ** because this bill isn't due until 05/10/12. And today is 04/25/12. So collection agencies don't get involved normally until you're like at least 6 months behind on a bill. Why would they pay a bill for me that wasn't even due yet?

So this woman Gloria told me that she was going to send me a check for $30.19 in case the collection agency billed me or whatever and to send the box back with the items that were in it with the bill too. She also assured me that I was off over their website completely! She said it would take a couple days for the computers to accept her erasing my email from their system completely, but that was it. But, the more I think about it, why on earth should I pay to send the box and items back to them! They should be paying for it.

These people are here to scam us in a time that our families are at their worst money-wise. They want us to believe we have a chance of winning all that money if we pay their stupid little segments they keep sending us. If we don't pay them for whatever they are billing us for, we lose our spot for an entry! Someone needs to shut these people down, and I am going to go to the attorney-general for these people. All the other complaints are in basically the same position as I am. Someone needs to do something about this. I guarantee there are thousands of people just as angry as I am. What are we going to do?

I have written you 3 times before. I was an attorney in NY, an Asst. DA for 16 years and licensed attorney in the US Dist. Ct. for the Northern Dist. of NY, the Western District of NY, and the US Supreme Court. Admittedly, I was disbarred because of an unhappy divorce and alcoholism. I may or may not apply for re-admittance. Time will tell. That is all I will say about that issue, except that I still have the right to represent myself and if necessary, I plan on filing a complaint in the US Dist. Court for the Eastern District of NY. I hope that will not be necessary, and cooler heads will prevail.

You are running a simple scam called "bait and switch". The "bait" is the prize money. The switch occurs when you aver “no purchase is necessary, etc.” and demands a surcharge of some amount, which is around $12.00 to over $100.00, which makes the participation in the "drawing" null and void if not paid. I have received 25-30 official looking envelopes. They are no more than glamorized first class mail, no matter what the outside envelope says.

I live in River Valley Care Center in Poughkeepsie. Welfare or public assistance pays the way. All my SS income goes directly to the nursing home. They give me $50.00 monthly. Obviously, I cannot compete with other entrants. I have been paying the surcharges with a promissory note in the amount applicable and will pay them in turn on June 1st, 2012. That's the best I can do. I don't think the "rules" prohibit it. When I win the prize for $5,000.00/week and the lump prize of $1,250,000.00, I pledge that matter will be done first.

I also owe my wife about $250,000.00 and HESC. These cannot be discharged in bankruptcy. When you award me, I will comply in every way, including signing a confidentiality agreement. I am 65 and was born on **. I have had triple bypass surgery in 2000. I smoke about 1 pack a day. The list of my disabilities goes on and on. SS considers me 100% disabled. So it’s the proverbial "crap shoot". Please feel free to have your attorney phone me at **.

Multiple Accounts listed, harassing phone calls: In good faith, with the intention of paying for items purchased and received from Publishers Clearinghouse, I have spent much time and effort writing letters, email and calling customer service. This has been going on since September 2011. Today is Thursday, April 19, 2012, and I have received yet another call from someone who would not say their name or the company represented but stating that I still owe money to PCH, the number called from was 800-542-9453.

I called customer service at PCH at 800-459-4724, explaining again about the multiple accounts that PCH has me listed under. Another CS rep and I had gone over every account she could find. We have gone through each item number ordered, received and paid in full, including the one item ordered but not received and therefore not paid for. She stated at that time that she would have the problem further researched in case we had missed something and that she would notify their collection agency of the problem and our resolution. She was satisfied that I had paid all accounts in full and was showing a zero balance due.

The sweet young thing that I talked to today refused to completely check out the individual items ordered, with their description, date ordered, etc. Once she located one order that stated that I owed $100+, she refused to listen to anything I suggested, stating that the bill was overdue period.

I am so frustrated and tired of trying to resolve this dispute! My health is very poor. I have had Crohn's Disease for 40 years and multiple sclerosis for 25 years. I have about 6 inches of very fragile small bowel left out of the 30 feet I was born with, which causes me to have what is called mal-absorption syndrome. The lack of nutrients plus the inflammation and ulcerations in the colon keep my MS very active, such that any activity at all, simple as walking, talking, reading, thinking, blinking my eyes, anything and everything, causes me great pain and exhaustion. This inability to resolve a situation wherein I have spent so much time and effort to pay my bill, and it has been paid in full, is getting to a situation in which I am going to have to find a lawyer to resolve the issue. If I have to resort to suing to get them to do their job properly, then I am going to ask for "pain and suffering" too.

I have gone the extra mile, done their research for them and asked politely for written confirmation each time that I have written a letter, an email or made a phone call. Only one time, and that was last month, since I started trying to deal with this in Sept. 2011, have I received anything other than a bill. One time I received a list of items ordered, their description and payment received, but that was only one account.

They have accounts listed as Susan **, Susan **, Mrs. Susan ** and Mrs. Susan H. **. Since my husband got involved they probably have payments in his name but not credited to my account(s), and those could be listed as Dennett R. **, Dennett **, Mr. Dennett R. **, Mr. Dennett **, or Denny **.

Since I live in a community in a mountainous area, the USPS will not deliver to each physical address, but to a central post office who then places our mail into boxes which the USPS will not designate as PO address so that all mail and packages delivered by USPS or by private courier must have a two line address for accurate delivery: **.

For city designation we are both/either Big Canoe or Jasper in Pickens County, Georgia (GA). Our zip code is always in debate. The first five numbers are almost always found in whatever it is the delivery people look us up: 30143 but the following four digit code is rarely found: 5107. I would love to know why. I even called the post office once and they differed in their response every time that I asked.

Anyway, you can see there are a number of ways in which PCH can and have listed my orders. Perhaps you begin to understand my frustration.

What more can I do?! I know that each and every item that I received has been paid in full, no dividing any items into multiple increment payments. Many items were bare root plants or bulbs, promised to be sent and received in the proper season and in time for planting. This I could dispute too, but I am not. Many of the bulbs were dried husks and all the bare root plants were already dead. Ordering plants from such a source were a bad decision on my part. Therefore, I will take the responsibility for my poor decision and have paid in full despite their guarantee.

I just want them to send a complete list of each account name and number for which they have recorded an item either ordered, date sent, payment either received or delinquent. That is to say each and every account for which they have a record. It must be all inclusive.

I am demanding that they stop sending my name for collection. They must finalize all bills. They must acknowledge in writing that I owe no money. They must write any collection agency to which they sent my name acknowledging the payment of all debts and send me a copy of each letter. If I should find any item in any credit report that has a negative implication, they shall contact each agency with a letter of explanation correcting their negative report, sending a copy to me. All this must be done within a reasonable amount of time.

If they should find these terms unreasonable, I will listen to a counter proposal. Should we not reach a satisfactory agreement, then I will consider other options available to me.

People who post to this website often refer to the PCH giveaways as a "scam". Actually, they are a clever, carefully-constructed marketing ploy. Neither PCH nor anybody else can make enough money to give away millions every year by giving away millions every year. They make their money by selling merchandise.

When I decided to get involved in the contest, I had been considering two magazine offers. PCH offered both of them, and at a price I couldn't refuse. So, I sent in an order as an experiment, hoping to find out how these giveaways work. Now I know. It isn't pretty, but it isn't illegal either, so far as I can tell.

When PCH sends out a prize packet, they are very careful to note in the Official Rules that "You Have Not Yet Won". Other literature in the packet is worded just as carefully, using phrases like "could be a winner", "eligible to win", "on the Winner Selection List", and so on (does that last phrase - taken from a PCH mailing - shade into illegality? I don't know). Most people who are disappointed at not winning, or who come to believe that the giveaway is a scam, have read the literature as a confirmation that they have already won, when in fact they have been so busy hunting for this sticker and that scratch-off card that they just haven't read what is in front of them very carefully.

That is all part of the ploy - to get you so involved in all the physical activity required by the rules of the contest that you feel invested - you want to win, you need to win, you deserve to win. Sending that packet off so you can collect your winnings is practically a formality, but you include an order as added insurance. (Sure, it is illegal to tie winning to a purchase, but we know, don't we?)

Much of the merchandise PCH offers is cheap jewelry, worthless trinkets, knick-knacks that don't do anything. But some of it is decent stuff that you can pick up for a relatively reasonable price. I got a set of LED flashlights and some Microfiber cloths for what I considered a decent price. The only gotcha - shipping charges; they added about 36% to the price of my order, and accounted for 26% of the total.

Coins are another matter. My latest PCH packet has an offer for a "24K Gold-Layered Bicentennial Collection". The coins are a dollar, a half-dollar, and a quarter-dollar, plus a "free" colorized quarter. The price is 20 bucks, plus shipping. If you found someone to buy two bucks worth of coins for $20, and pay you to ship them, would you sell to them?

Nowhere in the copy is there a statement as to the value (or potential value) of this set as a collector's item - because it has no value as a collector's item and is not likely to attain any. It shouldn't be hard to find a few coin collectors' web sites where you can check. Other companies have made an entire business of this sort of transaction, in which people are willing to pay several times the value of a product even though that value is staring them in the face, in the expectation of future gain. Home mortgage companies made hundreds of billions of dollars on that premise.

There is another gotcha that most people probably don't notice, or don't understand. The recent multi-State Mega Millions lottery game had odds of winning of nearly 176,000,000 (176 million) to one. That is a number equal to more than half of the population of the United States. It is such a large number that at least one media commentator chuckled as he read it; he obviously felt that the chances of winning were so slim as to be laughable. Still, three people did win - cold comfort to the other millions who bought tickets (I certainly felt a distinct chill).

Michigan runs a lottery game called Lotto 47 that offers odds of nearly 11,000,000 (11 million) to one, more than the total population of the State. In other words, if every resident of Michigan, plus a few million people from Ohio and Indiana, bought a different ticket, one of them would win.

Now check the odds of winning the various PCH giveaways. One of the latest packets I got put the odds of winning Giveaway 2184 at 191,000,000 (191 million) to one, odds greater than those of winning the Mega Millions Lottery - and that for a mere $15,000 prize. Even a tiny prize totaling $170 (1 at $100, 1 at $90, and 1 at $80) had odds of 318,000 to one (Giveaway 2506). Those are the odds of winning any of the prizes, not just the top one.

The really big prizes have odds that resemble astronomical quantities. Giveaway 1830, which seems to have move lives than a large herd of cats, has odds of winning of 1,215,500,000 (almost 1 and a quarter billion) to one. To put that in perspective, the odds of winning the Mega Millions prize were nearly seven times better than the odds of winning the big PCH prize. And, to put it into truly astronomical terms just for fun: at those odds, if you (with help from Bill Gates) bought a different lottery ticket for every mile that lies between the Earth and the Sun, it would still be 13 to 1 against you winning the big prize. That is true for a lottery like those run by the various States; I have no idea how PCH actually computes its winners.

I have done business with PCH for approximately 38 years. Recently, I have ordered several articles at different times from your company and I always get the note on the computer that they are processing my orders. I never received the articles I ordered nor got any answers when I inquired. I haven’t got a bill or any questions about my orders. I also don’t get the merchandise. I don't exactly understand what’s going on. I never get any mail via my PO any more. Is there a problem I don't know about? I had arrears in a payment which was taken care of. Does this have something to do with the discrepancy in my receiving my merchandise or the bill? My orders are acknowledged but never received. I also received this last letter telling me I hadn't answered or responded to letters (which I never receive). I guess I'm confused and I would like to understand or know what’s going on. Thank you.

The minute he saw the box, he said I got screwed! He opened it up and looked at it and said it wasn't worth anything because it has been cleaned in an acid bath and whatever else they could (probably thinking it would make it worth more). Plus, it was damaged. He showed me several examples of a large cent that he has to show me how it should look to be a valuable coin. My bill for the coin was $104! Is your company claiming and indicating that the Giveaway No.1830 is in fact a multiple grand prize every other two months instead of just one super prize? Second, who is the winner of one million dollar from the draws on November 30, 2011? Third, please display a website or some online sources where consumers can track your drawing result from each claimed super prize event.

There needs to be a place for consumers to verify the validity of your claimed events and drawings, instead of receiving your marketing and promotion materials for one event after another without knowing if there was ever a drawing that took place or a winner in reality in those claimed drawings. By law, these events and their winners need to be factual.

After reading some of the previous complaints, I think my questions have been answered but it's a very tedious and frustrating process.

After signing up and jumping through all the hoops required (and there are many) to get my entry submitted, I thought I was done, until the next day when I received an email telling me to do this and that or I'll forfeit my chances of winning. I figured I had left out a step and my original entry wasn't completed....so off I went, to do what I was told to do.

I've been receiving multiple email messages, every day, telling me to do more things or I will forfeit my chances to win. I have read in some previous comments that each email is an additional entry and that my original entries are valid....is that the case? If so, it would be nice of you to spell that out, in the beginning. Your entry process is tedious, stressful, time consuming and the process is unclear. I highly doubt I will be participating again any time soon just for a one in a million chance of winning.

Every time you do what is asked of you, PCH has another two or three steps for you to complete. It goes on and on. Now do this. Now do this. It is never ending. It's as though you really don't want anyone to win except the person you have already picked out if you are sincere about making someone a winner without purchase. Then what is the purpose of sending everyone through fifty changes? It becomes frustrating and I think that this is actually your strategy.

If you are going to give this big lump sum of money away, I am sure it can be done in a less stressful way. Stop making people jump through hoops and half the time, the instructions are so vague and don't make sense that you get tired and just give up, which is why I think your sweepstakes are designed for failure to most and you know this. If you are sincere about giving this lump sum of money away, then just do it. It does not take all this hoopla that you send everybody through. Get real!

I used to buy birthday gifts for people from you, and have them sent to her house, with her approval of course! The gifts would not be sent to my house, and people wouldn't know what they were! Take care of my cancer in womanly places, my bleeding ulcers looked at, and have a real doctor for everything.

I would buy my mom a house with a cleaning lady. I would buy my nieces and nephews (I have 9 in total, and I have never been pregnant). I would pay for their college, and make them report to me with their grades. When they graduate, I would encourage them with a cheap car and insurance. If they had bad grades, I would educate them to do better, and get the grades they need, and that everyone deserves. I would most definitely give more than half, if I win a million every year, to charities first (cancer cures, rainbow babies, children's hospitals, poor children, poor children with distorted faces, and multiple sclerosis).

If I would win that money, I would start a childcare facility, where they have a place to be occupied, to learn and grow up in, so they can teach too! I would most definitely buy and sign a contract, where I would buy all your products, and give gifts to families that need it, during Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving. I would even buy most my gifts for others at PCH. I promise you, if you ever came to my door, or mailed me a huge winning. Most of it would go to others, and your business, most importantly. I took up Cooperative Marketing and Management. I know how to operate, and utilize, while generating money for us all. A word goes a long way. Imagine what this generation could be changed into. Your advertisements clearly states "no purchase necessary;" however, when I do not purchase anything I must sit through the same old thing of reviewing items I do not wish to purchase. It is a never ending loop that your company thinks a person must go through time after time—get the point. If I wished a purchase, I would have ordered the item the first time through the listing. I have purchased items already and still get the same old thing about "review again!" I do not wish to purchase and still your site ignores this fact. I need nothing, want nothing and desire nothing.

If this is not clear enough, I think your firm needs to hire a third-grade graduate to understand the word "no”. I have entered your PCH Sweepstakes for years and nothing ever changes. It's amazing to me the tricks they try and pull to get you to order things. They must have a very good it team who screws up their server on purpose. They send you thing to review, then when you get to the bottom of the first page and have not ordered anything, they try and lock you in by not going forward to the next page.

You get a pull down message that stops you cold with a conflicting statement. "Are you sure you want to navigate away from this page?" Then "Please note." and "If you leave now, you will forfeit this entry, click cancel to continue and claim your chance to win or press ok to continue or cancel to stay on this page"

Ok, cancel. If you hit cancel, you go to the next page which says directory listing denied with a message that states "The virtual directory does not allow contents to be listed." So and as instructed, you cannot continue, then you go out and try to start over again to enter. It is not possible, and then the computer starts acting all crazy. It basically blows you out and creates an error report. If you then try and seek out their "help," that page goes crazy as well and you get another error report.

This happens most particularly when there is a deadline approaching. The actual website for PCH just wraps around and does not answer questions. You are stuck in a wave of technology that lasts forever with no resolve. Calling them requires more patience than you might have in the course of a day.

I am going to put them in spam and opt out. I would never do business like this in the first place if there wasn't the lure of a prize. Live and learn.

I have been doing surveys & testing products for years, so I am very familiar with the process. In Oct, 2011, I was invited to test 4 cake mixes & complete 4 surveys relating to the outcome. The invitation said I would be paid $45 for the baking of the cakes & receive points for the surveys. I did not save the email as I have never had any problem receiving payment for testing from any company, before now. I never received the promised compensation & when I asked about it, they just said they credited my account with 1000 points, which equals to $10.00. This amount would be for the surveys, not the baking of the cakes. They also asked for a copy of the email saying they would pay, which I already told them I didn't have. It sounds to me like they keep your money if you can't prove it. I don't like being called a liar & I no longer believe PCH is an honest company.

I would like to be able to choose “victimized, angry and dissatisfied” but that isn't an option above. I would like to acknowledge the fact that despite our current economy and hard times, we still have companies taking advantage of hard-working individuals like me. I've been working on salary at average $38,000.00 per year for $60-plus hours per week for the past year. And for the past 8 months I've been praying again that I would win the "Publishers Clearing House" sweepstakes. Today, I received a letter from Dave ** from the "Prize Patrol".

Last year, October, 2011 I was a finalist for the Gwy. 1400 drawing and was so into. Well, my birthday is October 14th! This must be the chance of my dreams that I did everything I could to try to even the odds of my chances in winning that sweepstake number 1400. I felt it was so meant to be that I went for almost everything they brought to me, saying no participation in buying products is necessary but also telling me the more times I get my name through their site by checking out their deals and here’s some things you can buy stuff the more entries I get to win.

I know, no one has any idea how much commitment I put into playing on their site with the science questions trying to gain points, thinking the more active I am on their site the more of a chance I would have of winning. Seems like hopeless dreams. It felt like I was constantly getting the opportunity to help my fiancé and my family not struggle as much as we have been and finally get married. I ordered a CD of Native Music Chanting because I thought that listening to it would help me win, and since I told them I would rather wait until I win before I buy anything (or at least see if I win) but I was constantly being damn near harassed daily by so-called representatives from Publishers Clearing House calling me and offering opportunities and sending letters in the mail, telling me I’m a finalist. Sending me authentic looking checks in the mail paying $1,000,000.00 to Antoine ** with a big void sign over with fine print reading “this could be you.” Well, I guess it was me—a check for a million dollars with a big ol void sign on it. What kind of stuff is that?

I work 12 hour days 5 to 6 days a week for the past year in this, hopefully getting better economy soon so that hopefully a better job can utilize my abilities in a more creative and positively productive way, but for now I got to suck it up. Then I get home with a letter in the mail with some stuff like this. I think I also already included the part where they called me at work and because it was a representative from Publishers Clearing House I felt this would be an opportunity coming true. I went along with the conversation disregarding my work at the time and participating in her survey to wind up buying a lifetime subscription to a magazine thinking this could hopefully give me another entry to win. Because now it’s on Gwy # 1830 and I’m a finalist again. How exciting?

Also, in the time being I was solicited by a company just like Publishers Clearing House in which I was like, how did they get my information? But my gullible self could possibly win! Again and I was ready to apply until my fiancé said it was a scam and that she had gotten the same thing long times ago! Then I do research on the internet and see all these scam alerts for this company. I filed a complaint online for criminal activity with our federal justice system then. I was not contacted by anyone as of today, January 24th, 2012 and I believe I filled it out last November or December. Now, I’m still getting these opportunities from Publishers Clearing House and also bought a pyramid-looking clock for good luck hoping to win, the Indian chanting c.d. for good luck hoping to win (I’m part Indian) and a lifetime subscription to a magazine. Just sent back the old school 79 Chevy truck that I had tried out for the probation period because it was too small of a car model, but I guess I should have known from this smaller than looking on the site pyramid clock that I got.

Just last week I sent a letter through the mail back to Publishers Clearing House; their motto is “Customer satisfaction guaranteed.” I thought I was going to be a satisfied customer and be the youngest person in Hawaii to win Publishers Clearing House and tell my fiancé I told you so. Got that sent out to them pronto with the words on the front of the envelope, “I hope my satisfaction will be guaranteed and Ill win Gwy #1830.” Winning drawing is supposed to be in the end of February. In the October give-away it was suppose to be the end of October. They never announced the winner. No one ever knows who won. We just keep seeing the people who have won. Do they even really exist or is this some genius marketing scheme to nickel and dime my little savings in hopes of winning $1,000,000.00 and having the opportunity to make a change in my family and friends’ lives. Coincidentally I wanted to google map their location because I felt that if I could physically see where it is and I did Daimoku then I could hopefully see the favor of fortune shine on me and give me an opportunity. The address is **, Port Washington New York. Google map stated they could not find the location.

I do some more research and find out they have several offices nearly everywhere through Wikipedia, so I thought okay. Now, I’m at the point where I’m sick and tired of these gigantic corporations using their marketing strategies to take advantage of people who work hard by selling them hopeless dreams. I suffer from PTSD, an abusive childhood, and a very difficult life to try to make better and manage. I’m very, entirely, completely, totally feeling dissatisfied, unsatisfied, mislead, mislead, mislead and mislead, completely angered, victimized, irritated, very irritated, taken advantage of and everything else because of this situation. I want my letter to be publicized on the news hourly as a commercial for the next ten years assisting people to not be victimized by companies like these.

The other two companies that contacted me with similar prize winning features probably got my information from Publishers Clearing House. Why do the rich get to take advantage of the hard working middle class and turn their selfish eye to the poor when it us that give them this opportunity with our funded support? I want something to be done about this. I want Publishers Clearing House to take the rules stated in Wikipedia that Publishers Clearing House had agreed to take us seriously. Rules stated that Publishers Clearing House supposedly agreed to improve upon and abide by:

Not misrepresenting the chances of winning a prize.

Not requesting certain information or actions from recipients.

Not using a personalized simulated check to mislead me into believing I am likely to win.

There are five more that directly have been done and have been related to me including these three. I’m pretty sure at this point in time that I won’t be winning Gwy 1830 at the end of February. Will any one take this serious with me or will others continue to be victimized as well?

I can relate to many of the complaints I just read. I have been playing the PCH sweeps, games, etc., for several years and have not won anything. I quit purchasing items from PCH because the postage and handling charges made every item overpriced and totally unreasonable to return any item dissatisfied with. On a regular basis I get PCH site errors. I have been an IT manager for over 30 years. This level of errors in unacceptable in a small office, but totally outrageous for a major corporation.

My current issue is against PCH slots. No matter how many "diamonds" you have, you will never receive more than 10 entries. This is not a "random" spin. If the limit is 10, then stop the process and don't make us continue to spin. And what is with the next day's diamond scratch off? I have repeatedly seen the same row of numbers—again, there’s nothing random about it. I have serious doubts that PCH programmers even know what the term "random" means. I'm so happy that I came to this site today. It makes me feel like I'm not the only one who thinks that PCH can quite possibly be a scam. You keep repeating in all your responses that since 1967 you have awarded over 228 million dollars in prizes. But if you think about it with all the $5,000 a week for life that have supposedly been given away, you would think it would be so much more. So maybe there aren't as many winners as you claim. What really bothers me is the fact that you always ask for the birth date.

I understand that you have to make sure that the age is 18 and over. But I also believe that that is the reason the only people that win the lifelong prizes are always between the ages of like 60 and 80. Why can't you verify someone's age if they are ever drawn as the winner to give us people of all ages a chance to win? So, if someone of my age was ever drawn, I believe you throw me back in and keep drawing until you find someone you believe won't collect the prize as long. No one is promised tomorrow so you really can't judge a winner by their age.

I'm disabled and it would be a blessing to me and my daughter to win one of the big prize awards. I'm just getting really discouraged with PCH. I enter every time I receive an email or a letter in the mail. You always say there is no purchase necessary to enter, but that is not true. I have received entry forms in the mail that state if I don't order, I have to enter in a different way. So those who don't order are probably thrown out as soon as they are received. I recently returned some orders that I had placed due to the poor quality of the merchandise. One order I returned was one of the supposedly free prizes. But they aren't free at all due to the fact you have to pay shipping and handling.

If you want to send out free prizes, that's exactly what they should be free. I received only one check in return and that was for the least expensive purchase and I'm still awaiting the return of the rest of my money. I'm sorry to say, but I'm so discouraged. I'm really considering never ordering or entering again and placing myself on the Do Not Contact List if I don't see any improvements with the way your consumers are treated.

It was about 7:40pm central time when it occurred, I then tried to reach PCH at their 1-800 number and they said to call back between 8:30am-8:30pm eastern time or contact you. So here I am, writing you. I'm really sad writing this because I enjoy My Publishing Clearing House lotteries games and even the surveys. So any explanation and correction regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank You and sincerely your loyal customer.

I believe the $50 should be mine. I was so excited and then was so let down when it switched before my eyes to an entry . I lost out on a win of $50 which I believe, was intended for me. Very confused!

A week ago I actually won a prize on PCH Slots, yet PCH won't let me claim it! The slots ran and it said I won $250, then to click "here" to claim prize. I clicked on the link and a screen came up saying congrats from PCH and such, but then it said invalid code/email and to check my email address. My email address was correct, it has never changed, in fact I get emails from PCH every day to play the slots and it said my email address in the prizelink!

Anyways, I contacted PCH customer service multiple times via phone and email. They basically called me a liar. I told them I had taken screenshots to prove it, and I submitted it to them over and over. They kept telling me they never got them. When they finally confirmed getting the screenshots they told me they now had to submit it to the verification department.

After a week, I still have not heard anything and they told me to be patient and they gave me an "incident number"! Then someone else tells me that if I didn't claim it within 60 seconds it was void. What do you think I was trying to do? The webpage had an issue. Someone did finally tell me that they were "having website issues" but that isn't my problem! I am lucky I know how to take screen shots. What if I hadn't? I'd have no proof.

Now I have sent them all the proof they need multiple times and they still have done nothing but to avoid me. It sounds like a scam to me. What good is winning if you can’t even claim your prize?

I have received yet another bill for items I have not received. On Jan. 9/2012, I sent a cheque for items that I received and sent the bill with it of the items that I had not received. Also I have been told several times that I had won money but never ever received any money from you. Therefore, I am asking you to please take me off of your mailing address. I am starting to believe that you just want me to keep ordering so you can get more of my money. Well, no more. I am on a fixed income and I cannot afford to be lied to anymore so please take me off of your mailing list. Please stop promising people money that they will never receive.

I am giving Publishers Clearinghouse only one star because you would not accept a zero. I give them a zero star rating! And, yes, I'm shouting! Pch.com's darn pop-up ads! They are totally unwanted and should be considered spam advertising! I have a pop-up block and still those PCH ** get through!

You can never win on slots because there are not enough spins. How come? Also, I, like so many other people, have been playing since 1976 and have bought a lot of stuff from them. I cannot believe that I have never even won a cheap price from them. Thank you.

I know that I will never win a dime from the PCS come-a-longs. They bury us with bulk junk mail that promises the riches to end all riches. I delight in finding all the little stickers and removing them and then tossing the rest in the trash. I also get a bang out of the letters reminding me that I have not bought a thing since 1995 when I started this folly. I never will unless by some cosmic miracle PSC sends the millions they keep suggesting I may be awarded by returning the crap by such and such a date.

I will order one of the mags that provides insertions on how to avoid scams like PCS. And as a good measure to demonstrate my disgust with the constant barrage of crap they keep sending, I will stiff them of the price of the mag. And then, I will use my millions to defeat the collection agency PSC uses to collect the $10.00 the mag may have cost. But PCS has little to worry about because we all know that I will never win a dime, even though they keep telling me that my number may have been already drawn. Barnum lives in the PCS home office.

I have read several of the complaints and can relate many of them. Also, am I the only one who noticed that there is a spelling error in nearly every unique (not copied and pasted) response by PCH? This shows that whoever is writing these is not very intelligent and the fact that he/she handles responses means that the company is also unintelligent.
