Today, 11-7-2013, I just finally decided to look up the real facts of PCH, and it brought me to this place. And I am not shocked at all by hearing that it is a scam. I know that "if it's too good to be true, then it ain't real," but I still want to believe I can win if I play enough. Since I signed up with PCH.com, I got a ** load of junk email in my inbox wanting me to buy stuff or to try this and I can get rewards to try it. Couples of weeks ago, I entered that $7,000 week for life. They have sent me this form that looks so professional saying I am entered into the contest, if I play those scratch card games, MAN ALIVE!

These people keep giving you reasons to stay and they get your hopes up but at the deadline, you don't hear if you won or if anyone won, and I think maybe those people we see who have won even just $5.00 are fake people... Ugh, don't know and don't want to stress about it anymore. Could use the money for sure, but not going to waste my time anymore with it.

Pissed about multiple billings after paid in full - threats of collection agency action. I will pay again, but will tell anyone I can about these finger and toe counting crooks. They should not be allowed to conduct their deceptive trade. Also much of their product line is overpriced junk. Pure junk. The clip on lights fall apart by turning them on (item being over billed). Saw them in Dollar Tree for 99 cents compared to four dollars 50 cents. I would not buy gold for a buck an ounce from these people. Count me an ex-customer.

Over time my mother had a series of small strokes. She was very good at hiding the symptoms. By the time we noticed she had racked up quite an account with this organization. She has been diagnosed with dementia. All along she was playing the sweepstakes in her name & my daughters. Signing her name & my daughters & had 2 separate accounts, all played from her (mom's) computer & her one email address. I phoned & spoke to several representatives over the phone & it was agreed that I would send back as much products as I could find. Some of the things on the list even the representatives did not know what they were???? So I took pictures of everything & returned them in the mail.

Today I got a collection notice for $42???? This company takes advantage of old people who are sick & in-firmed. So sick of their low-life tactics. They promise everything & deliver junk to people's houses. There is NO way I am paying this money, especially when their own employees do not even know what she bought.

I have been entering since 1978 but it only says since 1995. I have ordered a lot of products and magazines especially within these recent years. Because I do order so much, yes I have had to send some products back. I have never had a problem returning an item. In fact, I have found PCH to be very helpful! I also have a lot of really good products I use everyday!

I have to admit the last winner of the $5000 Forever prize really took the wind out of my sails because I was really playing hard. Played everything, mailed everything, even sent in my own handmade entries. I never missed a day. I thought what did he do that I didn't do? After thinking about it I realized he just got lucky. The chances of winning are really slim but if you don't enter you don't have any chance at all.

I have won a $10.00 Amazon gift card. I will continue to play and hope and pray that I do win the grand prize someday. It's free but it does take a lot your time however. I do like PCH games too! Good luck!

I just received an email confirming the name of the item ordered and the date. No other information such as order number were included to enable me to cancel. Since I did this on Sunday, I had to wait until Monday morning to cancel by phone.

When I called Monday morning, the rep told me it was too late to cancel. When I asked what the total price was for the $6.95 item, she told me $17.95. I do have the option of returning it at my expense. To put it in socially acceptable terms, they are crooks. Do yourself a favor and stop all their emails. If you have hopes of winning one of their prizes, keep getting their mail to garbage up your box, but don't order anything. Played the slots games 2 times and on both received wilds and went into error message. This is a scam. They script it so you can't win anything. It's pretty clear with the picture I posted that I had 4 wilds and this was not the first time. If you don't want people to win, why keep PCH going? Yes it’s free and not like the lottery but least with that you won’t get error messages. Pictures below.

If you play PCH, you have a better chance of winning something, anything, with the lottery. Once you join, you'll be bombarded with spam, the likes you will never see from any other games. Every couple of days, you'll get another game or search that says "final offer" and it never ends. They will lead you on telling you that someone with your initials will win in your zip code but it will never happen. These guys are masters of leading you on. So play, if you don't mind wasting your time. The only plus is, it's free to play. Another note, the stuff I've bought has been total junk and not worth any money. I bought a couple of subscriptions which wasn't too bad, but one, "Hot Rod" is so intermittent, I won't re-subscribe.

I ordered a dryer Lint Lizard from Publisher's Clearing House and received it in the mail after about a week. The only problem is that I sent a check back in the envelope they gave me and waited for over a month only to receive a notice that I am delinquent with them. I took a look at my bank account and lo and behold, they never cashed the check. I'm pretty sure it didn't just "get lost in the mail". I don't want to cancel the check because I will get charged for it, but I think that this is ridiculous. My wife and I have never had a company not cash a check. We ended up paying it from their website and got a confirmation email. I just think that it is stupid that a check that probably arrived back in their office a week and never got cashed. We had money in the account the entire time so there was no reason why it wouldn't...oh well. Didn't affect my credit, so who cares? Just won't use a check the next time and use their web payment system to avoid it not processing.

However, on the brighter note, I know a lot of people here are complaining of the low odds of winning and to be honest, it's a free system to use. Yeah, by playing the lotto you might have a slightly better chance of winning, but still you aren't paying anything to enter Publisher's Clearing House and there are actual winners of the $5,000 a week for life. If you find the ads annoying while trying to play the scratch games or the other games on their website, here's a recommendation. Install Google Chrome with AD Block or Firefox with AD Block Plus as an extension and it basically just skips the advertisements instantly so you are back playing another scratch game almost instantly. It lowered the amount of time that I spent on the website doing everything from 35 minutes to about 15 minutes, which is nothing out of my day. Something that I am definitely willing to do for the odds of actually being a winner.

Anyway, I will continue to play the PCH games and enter for the $5,000 a week for life because there is proof everywhere that this contest is legitimate. Who knows, maybe I will be the next one? Can't take the chance of not because of a faulty ordering system. Just won't pay by check again. Problem solved. Otherwise, I wish you all the best of luck.

Many, many errors while playing the PCH Lotto and PCH Games, and I know it's them and not my computer. They sell shoddy merchandise. I purchased an item to hang pictures, etc., and all the thing was is a plastic gun that was hard to load and the hangers were PUSHPINS, so could hardly hang a framed picture up with a pushpin now, can I? When I tried to find information on returning this disappointing item, I had no luck. I even wrote PCH to complain and never heard anything back, but did receive a bill. One of the worst things besides never winning anything is that on all their sites (and I do realize that their sponsors make PCH sweeps possible) I get ads, bombarded to look at insurance quotes, home services quotes and a bunch of crap that if I need I will always deal with a company rather than go through a third party. I have a better chance of winning the lottery than I have of ever getting anything from PCH. They need to shut it down!

I'm not gonna go off on a rant, and I'm not gonna judge. I see lots of older people on here as I can tell, and a LOT of people who are on sites like PCH ALL the time. Keep this in mind: you get to enter free. That's even better than the lotto because you don't HAVE to pay. Now, it was your choice to buy the products in the first place as the consumer. You could have gone through your local superstore or other branch or even online through Amazon, eBay, etc. You CHOSE to buy these products on several terms. Either you bought it because you really needed it, you bought it because you THOUGHT you needed it, you bought it because it looked neat, or you bought it because you thought you could win.

Your odds are not higher if you make a purchase. It even says so on the main page! All I'm saying is this. Go live your life. Take a walk outside, find a hobby that you enjoy, buy a dog or a pet, find a significant other. There is no problem getting on the internet, I love it. But seriously, are you gonna let it rule your life? If you're fed up, then quit. It's hard to quit with something like this because it's almost the exact feeling you get if you were to gamble, but you have to know your limits. If you log on for 5 minutes every day, you're not hurting anyone. Same thing if you decide to be on the computer for 24 hours. The only difference is that it's your life and I know for sure that I'm not gonna sit around and "wait" for the chance to go do something; I'm gonna go do it. Hope this reaches the right people and they think about this.

The products they sell are worse that most is the fact that they let you make 'payments' which if anyone takes the time to realize what they are paying, would cause them to STOP before ordering! Several years ago I fell for the hype and ordered, but, when the stuff arrived, the first thing I had to do was to return the Leather Organizer Purse since it stunk so bad I could not breathe (I have COPD so it was seriously dangerous)! I called them and sent the thing back. I did not receive a bill that time.

Unfortunately several Years ago I was NOT THAT SMART and everything I ordered was junk! No returns, no refunds and certainly no credit (which suited me fine). Also it caused me to understand that PCH was NOT Customer Friendly!!! You want to but a certain item…SAVE YOUR MONEY and pay retail, or look for a sale in a store! PCH is expensive and they buy stuff they pay pennies for, then, they take your hard earned dollars for the trash!

That's how they get their "MONEY", but do they really pay out what they say they do? I'm betting NO! I for one have entered their "Sweepstakes for 50 Years and play the PCH Games...I can't even win a Token Prize, MONEY? I don't think so plus they seem to stay in one certain area of the Country. This is a company who makes their money from advertising. So of course they are going to push stuff as much as possible. I have been entering online for a few years now and never had an issue. The odds of winning anything are outrageously high and you can find those on the rules for any of their contests. The fact is you never have to purchase anything but be careful you watch that nothing accidentally ends up in your basket and read before you click continue. At the top of a page it will typically say "Your entry is confirmed or continue on to confirm your entry."

I've never purchased anything so I can have no opinion on quality, but I'm so tired of people complaining about a free lottery. That's what it is, you look at ads and get a free entry. When they say someone in your area with your initials has one you have to read the email or letter closely. They advertise their bigger contests on those but the initial giveaways are usually for $100-$1000, not the grand prize. PCH has been investigated numerous times and they are a legit sweepstakes. Enter, hope for the best, but remember it's a game. Someone wins, most lose.

The more we go to play their lottery, slot games, and all the other pointless games, the more hits they get so that they can get more advertisements and more money. The more we do their surveys, the more companies they can usurp to join in those time consuming surveys, to which we should be paid for that precious time and free personal information that we're giving these companies so that they can have more and better ways of selling us their crap! After receiving a confirmation email of the order I didn't want, I called customer service. The representative said it had already shipped.

I got upset and told her I just received an email saying it had not shipped yet. I was persistent, so she told me the order had been cancelled. I thanked her. Several weeks later, the order arrived. What a rip-off Publishers Clearing House. As so many others have done, I'll just pay this and hope you don't continue to use my personal information against me. I will have to go purchase a money order because I don't want them to have my checking account information. This whole experience was a total surprise. Why did I think Publishers Clearing House was a reputable company?

I have filled in every entry which is very time-consuming and searched several times a day in order to validate my entry. There are WAY TOO MANY emails and now they are asking me to fill out, enter for drawing on 8/30!!! What a crock! I understand that there will be a winner and you must enter to win, but this is RIDICULOUS!

I have only one good thing to point out. The sewing kit was the only decent thing that was of decent quality. I ordered plants and followed the instructions to the letter. They're dead. They never came up. Then they had the nerve to bill me for CD's I didn't order and they sent them anyway. Magazine subscriptions I ordered one and they keep sending me dunning notices even though I paid them. One scammer infiltrated my Facebook account. I blocked him. I played long enough. I'm unemployed and can't finish college. Oh, that's another issue. I'm on their damn lists of online schlock schools. I'm an enrolled student. I don't want to be on their list. The scratch off cards they send are supposed to be winners and they instruct you to sign your name. I haven't seen a penny. $500 is pretty small for them but not for me.

I'm not holding my breath but they should at the very least make good on those cards. Each entry has a specific number on them and I wonder who processes them or are they just chucked into recycle pile? The NYS Attorney General should be involved in this consumer problem with PCH. The stuff as seen on TV is sold in the grocery store. Example, the Orgreenic cookware is supposed to be non-stick. It's not. The compact hose is supposed to stretch out when in use and be lightweight. It does not fit the faucet properly and leaks all over the place. I convinced my mother not to get another one again as they are deemed, pardon my saying, a piece of **. This contest should at least in a favorable light come half way to those who enter. They, at present, are not in high regard.

I said, "Call the shipping place BEFORE it's shipped, then." They said, "We have no contact with the shipping place." I said, "Well, this is part of your business model that needs to be fixed. Obviously, by taking my order and processing it TO the shipping place, you must have had a way to contact them in the first place." They then just regurgitated that they can't do it. I have played PCH games and used the site for about a year. All I ever won was a five dollar gift card to Amazon, and they tried to nullify that! They said that the way I was using PCH search was consistent with the use of a robot. I didn't even know what the hell that meant. Also, PCH is constantly sending people emails suggesting that they are about to win or by not replying they will lose some great money winning opportunity. I think this is because they know people will give up trying the sweepstakes with the worst odds in America (one has a better chance of being hit by lightning twice while riding a unicorn than winning a big prize with PCH).

Lastly, there is the subject of the trinkets you are "not required" to purchase in order to win. I was informed in my email that I had ordered some crap and sent a bill. I did not order this item from them. I had to call them and argue with some CSR before it was finally resolved. Hint: I did not pay. My question here is if PCH is legit and wants to avoid problems like this, then why don't they charge you for whatever it is they allege you order when you order it? I almost never use PCH now. There are plenty of sweepstakes with greater odds on the internet. Even local lotteries and sweepstakes give better odds.

I called in to cancel my order in early 2011 & was told I would receive a refund but was informed it had to go back to my checking account. I told the rep I no longer had that account; it was recently closed and I asked if they are able to send a check. I was told that it may be possible and to call back to check on the status. After several calls, I gave up highly upset because I kept getting the runaround. Later, I sent an email, and was told that the money was still there and I haven't heard anything since 2012. I purchased lingerie/laundry bags from PCH... the first time I've bought from them. One bag ripped after the 1st wash and the 2nd time the other ripped. Only the bra bags are still intact. Who knows how long they will last? They were not overstuffed, only a swimsuit in one and a dress in another. Further, when I called them about the poor quality of the items, due to high call volume PCH kept disconnecting me after telling me to call back later or go online. If I want to handle an issue, I want to do so while it is in the forefront of my mind and not have to remember to do it later. Give me the option to hold or call back later. Don't make that decision for me!

After repeated calls and hang-ups, I finally got through to representative Windon, who couldn't find my order to save his life. I gave him the number repeatedly, along with my name and address. I told him I found it odd that when I called to pay, they were Johnny on the spot finding it. But when there is a problem, no such luck. He began to raise his voice at me, insisting I repeat my address AGAIN... I told him not to start yelling at me and he began to argue that he wasn't, when he clearly was. I insisted on speaking with someone who was actually competent to assist me. Without a word, he muted the call and left me idle.

I got my son's mobile phone and went through the whole process again. 4 or 5 hang-ups and finally got through to Maria. She was very friendly and helpful. She asked before putting me on hold, was professional the entire time, obtained a supervisor who found Windon, contacted his supervisor and began addressing his issues. That was more than 45 minutes on my cell phone with him. Sarah, the supervisor, who ultimately assisted me, offered to send a refund for the laundry bags and apologized for Windon's behavior. All much appreciated, but I think I have had enough experience with PCH now.

I'm disabled and probably spend more time than I should on the net, but I'm glad it's there! One of my favorite sites is PCH Games. Although you have to watch a lot of ads, you don't have to buy anything. The ads are their fee for using the website! In between ads, there are a lot of really fun games to play. Playing the games earns you tokens that you may exchange for chances to win prizes. Their games are so good that I'd probably play anyway, but the token aspect makes it even better! Documents that were sent to me are Certificates of Entitlements, prize days awards (day I was to receive the award), Certificate of Title, Authorized Prize Transfer, deposit slips, Official Confirmation Notice and an Official Alert/Prize Check Approval. This deception has been going on since May of 2008. If Publishing Clearing House had no intention of honoring my win, they should not be sending me false documents. I have documents to substantiate my claim. Please advise me on what steps can be taken regarding this matter.

I have been playing for almost four years and have sent in all entries the next day, the last round in 2012 was not even processed as I ordered some items. Until people just play for fun and do not order maybe a magazine a year or less, maybe they will start paying out on their sweepstakes. They advertise major networks winners which do not happen and if so you can trace them to employees to get more money. Stop ordering their products and maybe they will start paying on all sweepstakes as they constantly change games, as to not pay out. Wake up and stop ordering. This funds their company; they must pay and advertise not employees or two-year-old winners but current winners on their site. The videos are over two years old. If customers stop ordering, they will pay one way or the other.

I am afraid I just experienced a common story with PCH. Man signs for 5K a week for life prize. Man receives e-mails daily. Man, just trying to keep up with the game, clicks and clicks without buying anything. Man receives an e-mail which informs him that he just bought a piece of plastic junk (he did not). Man calls PCH and tells the operator that this is a mistake. Operator puts on an effort to insure the man that he bought it. After another 2 to 3 calls, man convinced them to cancel the order. Man is still upset to be played for a fool, but start feeling better.

Two weeks later, man receives a package with crap he did not purchase. Man calls PCH and another operator starts bullying him. Man cursed; operator hangs up. Man calls again. This time, man is insisting to listen to his story and advises the operator not to read off his play book. Man got lucky that the operator is human and order is canceled. Man is upset and wondering why PCH could have an easy to use online account management tools. Man thinks it is done intentionally to count and prey on people who will just comply. One should wonder how they are paying to the winner. I guess they just need more careless clients.

I keep getting email every day saying I must enter in order to continue playing to win the $5,000 a week. After all the entering I did everyday, they sent me an email telling me I "no longer have the chance to win, sorry." Those were their words, supposedly because I didn't enter a final they requested. This is a waste of time. I keep canceling them on sending me posts, but they continue sending me stuff. What a nightmare.

The system does not show you a final cart for you to review - the system just processed and billed me. The pricing and discounts were misleading too so when I called customer service, she was so rude. When she finally credited my account, was just mean. Then the quality of the product was embarrassing. I bought something as a gift and had to apologize to the friend who received it. Finally beware, they charge a late fee on your purchases pretty quick!

The mailings they send are designed to fool people into thinking they have won something already. My elderly mother bought so much stuff from them thinking she won or would win. They're always using the term that someone in our city would definitely win (no one ever did). Items were still coming to her home months after she died. The website is a ** nightmare, to even try to enter without ordering. You have to look at page after page of their crap, and then be begged to buy something, even though it says you don't have to. Then it goes on to offers from their partners. On reputable sites that offer contests that state you don't have to purchase anything, there is a link that allows you to go on and enter the contest without a purchase and without looking at a bunch of crap.

I agree with most of the posters here about how frustrating it is to enter PCH sweepstakes for years without ever winning anything. Still, it's open to everyone (no matter what color you are or where you live), and there are winners. It's sort of like the lottery. If you don't play, you can't win. But there are no guarantees that you will win ever. So play the games, scratch the cards, and spin the wheel or not. No one says you got to. No one promises you will win. But they do promise you the chance to win. So play or not. I play almost every day, and yes, I get tons of emails that are a bit annoying. But that's what the delete button is for.

Now, about those items you ordered (or not), I found it confusing for a while and noticed how close the 'add to cart' button is to the skip button. And if you are not careful, bam! You ordered something. You have to check closely before you continue to make sure you are not placing an order. And if you do place an order and there is a problem with the order, contact them. There is an 800 number on the website as well as on the order invoice. I received dead Aloe plants one time and complained, and they replaced them. No problem. Sure, the junk is cheap junk but that's why it's cheap. Usually, you can find the same items on Amazon for close to the same price and without the long wait, shipping fees and hassle. But, you are not required to order anything to be able to enter their sweepstakes.

As for website pages not loading or not responding, if you have that happen often and believe it's mostly the fault of my browser (Internet Explorer). So, what I do is keep the PCH email open (minimized) while playing the slots or whatever. And if the malfunction happens, I close and start over from the link in the email. Or try refreshing the page. Sure, you get the little warning that if you leave that page you forfeit whatever prize is pending your play. But that's just baloney. Refresh anyway, and usually things move right along. So far, the fun outweighs the glitches. A couple of times in the past, I have had serious issues with the website's performance that were not due to my browser (I sometimes switch to Firefox for PCH games to be sure nothing messes up), and when that happened, I contacted PCH support via email and received kind and helpful responses. You got to try to meet them halfway.

Now, I have had a couple of issues that tick me off (until I remind my self it's only a game and I probably did not win anyway). This had happened when I get my daily email showing the numbers/games I played the previous day and sometimes I see "You did not play this game" for a game I know damn well I played (or it would not have advanced to the next game, which I did show as played). But I figure the internet gremlins are at play and find something more important to squawk about. After all, I have a computer that works, the internet, electricity to run the computer and a website that lets me play at hitting it rich someday. Yeah, I get those emails telling me my initials are winners too. But I figure it's because I married a cool cowboy who shared his last name with me. LOL.

I started playing when Ed McMahon was doing the prize patrol. I'm told I'm just not what they are looking for as being a winner. They say it's because they are looking for best customers who spend money, live in certain states and where they live. I'm sorry, I'm poor and don't live in a big house or I'm not rich or live in the best states they love to travel. It hurts me to know out of all these years of playing these games that I'm not what they are looking for. What is random, the best states they like? Someone who isn't poor and lives in a nice big house? What is a good candidate they choose?

It's a dream that will never happen or come true. Why when I find instant win prizes, I get directed some place else? I found prizes before but never a claim for to claim it. I've been a loyal fan for many years and never ever won anything from the prize patrol. It's unfair to do people like this. They make it sound so good but yet they go the other way all the time. It's like playing the lottery. I just think this is unfair but that's life. It is what it is.

Come on, if someone won 1 million dollars, I do believe they'll mention it but not give the names of the people due to privacy. How long has PCH been around? Many, many years and I remember when I was a teenager going to their website and seeing how simple it was. Now they have so much more. It's the consumers that's paying their overhead and the prizes they give out. They make a fortune off us.

The only complaint I have is they spam mail you. I can't believe how much email I get from them saying that I must enter or I am going to lose the money. Money? What money? I have not entered in those sweepstakes, so how can I lose money I didn't enter into to win. I have a lot of thoughts about those people and I think they are just too good to be true. If anything PCH was doing was for real and not bogus, there would be no "100 cash" as the sixth spot on the lotto scratch instant win card. Every single time I play it, I noticed this and even gathered people around the computer before it shows up to get a laugh out of it. Another thing is the same pattern on the slots. There is no calculable way that, after collecting diamonds, entries are the only spot the wheel lands on. I must have literally played this wheel over 500 times and get the same result. Just today the wheel landed on 6 try again spaces in a row (again, not impossible but uniquely unlikely).

One more problem I noticed is the bonus spaces in the slots. I constantly get the same number on bonuses every time on the same themes (for example, the casino slot always gives you 3 bonus spaces). To sum up my complaint, I would like to say the PCH lotto/slot is fake and a waste of time - the same results come out from each every time you play them. They are wheels and slots. There is no such thing as walking into a casino and spinning the same results or scratching numerous lottery tickets that have a $100 space in the 6th spot of the 6 spaces.

I begin to make plans to help my family and myself believing that I will actually win but when I see that they never get close to NYC and much less the Bronx, I begin to believe that if I am not living in the Suburbs and white, I am not going to win. I am so annoyed by their deceiving emails.

I recently entered PCH and was sure to not order any product when I did. I just received an order of two items sent to my home with a bill. I called their consumer help line and was told that I must have missed an email telling me that if I didn’t respond, they would send me these items. I told them that practice was illegal. He then told me that I must have clicked on something on their website telling them to send the items. I informed them that I have never been to their website. After me convincing them that this was an illegal practice on their part, the rep told me that he would cancel the bill. I asked for them to send that to me in writing and that I wanted to return the items. He told me to keep the items as a way of saying sorry for the inconvenience. He says he will send something out explaining that I am not responsible for the goods but we shall see what happens. I asked to be taken out of all contests and deleted from their system. I was told that I may receive mailings for another 6 weeks. Hopefully, after that I will be done with these people. I feel bad for the elderly customers that receive goods in the mail like this and think that they must have to pay for them. I find it funny that when you put "Publishers Clearing House" in Google, the top searches include the words "Scam" and "Rip-off". Gee, I wonder why?

No matter how many times I've done this, the messages saying "I may be dropped from the list or lose my opportunity to win" never stop coming. I'm tired of being bogged down with these continuing emails, but there seems to be no way of stopping them. I'd love to win as much as anyone else; but if I'd entered through the mail, that one entry would be enough so that I would have a fair chance in the sweepstakes without being harassed. Some people might look at it as many opportunities provided to them, but I just think it's annoying and unfair. Many of us would like to feel that we might have some slim chance of one day winning this contest without being told that for every 1 entry we submit, we must then submit 10 more to stay qualified. If others want to spend their time responding to these over and over each day, it's up to them but I don't. I shouldn't feel penalized for it, because I've already entered several times. I don't want to be contacted again unless I win. Thank you.

I just read many unhappy, negative comments about PCH. I am flabbergasted. They have an 800 phone number and on occasion, I call if there is a computer glitch, which is normal. PCH personnel are always nice, helpful and solve any problem. On occasion, some interesting item strikes my fancy and I purchase it. If I don't like it, I can return it just by calling the 800 number for help. I love getting to play (right now) the "$5,000 a Week for Life." It is just like playing the lottery. Heh, maybe I'll win...maybe I won't win...so what? It is fun to dream and then, wish whoever does win, good luck. I have done some checking over the years, especially now that we have internet and can find information better, and found out how PCH can make these offers and they are legitimate. If you don’t win, that is only because your number didn't come up just like in the lottery.

If those of you who are complaining would stop and think about where all the money given to the lucky winners comes from, you might realize that all the magazine orders and all the products they offer, produce profit, which they then can use to pay employees and order supplies (it’s called "overhead") and what's left is allocated for the monetary prizes given to us, the consumers, if we choose to participate in the fun daily contests. If I don't enjoy playing some of the contests, I don't play...remember, there are millions of people who play the lottery every day and there probably are millions of people who play this program. Some lucky people win and others don’t. PCH is not a scam or Uncle Sam would definitely sue them and close them down. I am a daily player. It is fun. I love some of the commercials...the cow being pulled up the building then it stops to look at the guy eating a hamburger. It’s cute and I laugh every single time I see it. Also, when the company says that there is no fee or purchase necessary, that is not true.

After applying for the sweepstakes, I received in the mail a thick envelope filled with paperwork. Of course at the end of this paper work, it said I needed to submit a check for $11-12 for some ridiculous reason. If it says no purchase or fee, they should mean it! Instead, I am sure poor schmucks from all over the country are mailing in their $12 with the hopes of winning. The only winner is the company cashing those checks. I have been ill and I have been so discouraged by PCH's explanation on Facebook which are immediately censored by Facebook. I have probably received various letters about being selected by various scammers totaling many millions of dollars of winnings which will be turned over to me if I send them money. Does this sound familiar or am I the only one victimized by these official-looking letters about money being held for you until this money or (horrors) your claim will be null and void. By the way, would pay it rather than lose my chance.

PCH's privacy rules allow them to sell addresses to various scammers. Some even say they are Federal Trade Commission federal officers, and have left me voicemails identifying them as such. The claim that my participation in various PCH offers are contingent upon my sending cash, check or credit card. While PCH denies that they are not a party to these scammers, all the mail is addressed the same, and the consequences are scary to me. I live in a nursing home, in a wheelchair and I am on public assistance. The idea that I have won a large sum of money is almost irresistible. If I had the money, I probably would pay it. It’s like having a gun to my head.

PCH declares all their prizes are given to participants based on what some "big computer" chooses for them. I believe PCH is in cahoots with these people and I don't know why they cannot stop these people and run an honest game. How can you resist an offer to win "$5,000.00/week forever"? Does anyone disagree with me? All I want is the same chance everyone else gets. No more, no less. PCH do something to prove you are not in cahoots with these people.
