I search as that's one of the ways to enter. I search daily. I'm beginning to think they are using my search as a way to survey what is popular. If this is true I want to be paid for my time due to the fact I haven't won anything. Plus they never as promised show the winner on T.V. so NBC, they state is to air on your network so you must be part of the scam as well. I want and believe I should be paid for the time I put in so they can get better ads and commercials.

You waste time getting tokens. They don't tell that when you start. Do you cash some but you never win anything. The rewards are cheesy and not worth cashing you tokens. You are so busy trying for tokens checking to see winning lotto #'s. We should be notified each time we win. We enter so many events, we shouldn't have to wonder if we won. Please end the frustration.

I played PCH play and win for 63 days. Finally yesterday June 29th, 2015 I won $250.00 in the token - highest of the day game. I was so excited but I didn't receive an email from them yet. I'm really disappointed. My name is in the winners section of the app. Was I scammed? So what happened and what happens now? How do I get my winnings?

Played PCH for years. Their games are rigged you can't win any money, only tokens slots instant wins. All other games are impossible to win though they show money denominations. If a casino did this it would be illegal. So why is it legal for them?

I regularly receive emails from PCH with urgent messages telling me I have to acknowledge something or other in order to win a cash prize - once I do so, I am then led through a series of e-games that alternate with pages trying to get me to link to "sponsor" sites and pages inviting me to download apps to acquire additional chances at major prizes. I sometimes play the free games when my back is bothering me and I need a distraction to take my mind off the discomfort. I never really expect to win anything, and until today, never really have - I've just accumulated "points." Sometimes when I do not appear to have actually won anything; nevertheless, the same bells and whistles go off as do when I have clearly won, but either way, win or all I ever won were still more "points" (of which I now have over a quarter of a million). But today, just a little over an hour ago, something different happened.
Well into the series of games (I had reach the $20,000 prize level), the game "Aces High" popped up. The instructions for this game said "draw four aces, win $4,000." And when I "drew," four aces and one jack appeared - then the jack slid down the screen, and I waited for the bells and whistles, which I figured would be pretty impressive, this time! But not only were there NO bells or whistles, the winning screen simply dissolved, and a new game came up - no message that I had won saying that I had won anything at all. Not even the congratulatory message stating how many points I had won that ALWAYS pops up; even when I do not appear to have actually won the game, a congratulatory message ALWAYS appears, notifying me that I have won 250 "points." Yet today, when I certainly appear to have won a substantive amount of cash - nothing. So the first time I win an actual cash prize is also the first time I win - nothing? Smells like scam to me.......

I went online, and I was told to purchased 3 item in order to qualify for the lottery. I made my choice and submitted to PCH. I received a letter from them, and told me that my lottery ticket was number **. After that every day my email box was filled with the request of purchasing more items otherwise "I will be removed" from the lottery. They pestered me for the whole month. One day I went online and I saw a review of another customer and I was shock to find out that her lottery number was ** just like my number. Is this a SCAM or what??? Please take care of this PCH and get them out of business.

I downloaded the PCH play & win app a while ago since well it's PCH and I've heard all this good stuff about them and need the money so why not. It's a nice setup but all you get is tokens and you can't even buy stuff with tokens - you get entries into a sweepstakes which is stupid since even with Lucktastic you can redeem them. The mini games are completely programmed to miss the $$ and win more lame tokens. They do send emails for the Search & Win and tell you what's left for you to do to win and so on. While you're on the main screen of the actual app, you get little pop ups showing who won what, how much and where. (I've seen the same names pop up various times different days) so it is kinda scammy. Don't hope too much with it...

I started playing the PCH games online a few months back, and within a month's time I figured out what the "redeem tokens" was for... To actually submit for entries to win various prizes on the token exchange page. I submitted ten entries for a GPS device just for giggles then found the Canon EOS Rebel Camera down at the bottom in the selections where it requires 3500 tokens per entry, and immediately placed 40 entries for it, and then every day for a solid month, while watching the deadline, I entered no less than 20 entries per day, sometimes more or less between 40 to 20 entries per day. When it said "the winner would be announced tomorrow" I put in 30 entries, then went back and put in another 8 entries depleting my collection of over 3Mil tokens all on that camera for entries for a total of 1068 entries. Yes, I kept track of each and every day I put in entries, as a running total.
Next day, the Camera dropped back down to 31 days to be given away, and no announcement of it being won at all. Little did they know I have screen shots of the day it was supposed to be awarded, and a few after, including when they responded telling me via email "Please be advised, the lucky winner for the Canon Camera from 6/16/2015 was Thomas M of Harrisburg PA." I'd like to see this documentation of that person actually winning and getting the camera, since they never made the announcement as promised from their site.

I just want to make anyone aware of the odds of anyone winning any grand prize. But first, a tiny bit of info. Currently, when you enter any of their sweepstakes, you're entering along with people in Canada, England, and the United States! So, the odds of you winning the grand prize...1 in 1,700,000,000! That's one-in-one billion, seven hundred million! Before they added Canada and England? 1-in-310,000,000 (three hundred and ten million!) So, now do you think you will win? Odds are...you will not!

Well the tokens, you can not win on just a full, and you can never win if you never play or if you only play once and hope for the best, but maybe it can happen. The scratch-offs are for tokens so you can use them towards prizes they have. I tried 4 million and no luck but keep trying. My point is never give up, keep playing and it is not a scam even though I lost 4 million tokens. It was not my day but I will try again with more some day. ANYWAY THANKS PCH.

Hi. I've been entering PCH since 2010 off and on. This year in twenty fifteen March I entered and all of April except two weeks earlier in April I didn't enter but started back till the end of April into now - it's the twenty eighth day. Today is forty two days straight and have not won anything even the small prizes which makes me think that PCH is a conspiracy because they've never been to Atlanta Georgia before. They say that they've been everywhere but Atlanta they've never been to. By looking at their history this year and in the past all of the winners their states have been casino states and there is a big super prize coming up in June and I believe all of putting in this contest I'm going to miss out on another super prize again like always, and they say that they issue out prizes every day so which makes me believe that their computer that does the random drawings is rigged because I believe another casino state is going to get it again.

She doesn't have enough money for her meds and food. Please look into this as I am sure this happens to thousands of people that use the mail to contact PCH, because they know seniors prefer the old way. I take care of my Mom, have for 7 years. I don't know what those tokens are used for. You never really win anything so why are you even playing for these tokens? What are they used for? What is the purpose of them? I guess the tokens are for gift cards. I've been playing for years and never got anything.

During the fast paced gaming that is highly enjoyable on their website, they have implemented pop-ups in the middle of gaming sessions that resulted in two inadvertent orders that I only became aware of when the payment was past due. I would have never ordered the items which were not in my choice of items to order to begin with. When I found out because of an email indicating my potential disqualification from the PCH gaming prizes, I tried to cancel the orders with no success or ability to appeal the situation. While the chances of winning are very small, the only reason to game is for enjoyment and the very remote chance of winning. PCH still gets all of the advertising revenue and I should not be punished for deceptive pop-ups that result in inadvertent orders that were unintended and my disqualification from competing.

So you've got the bug and want to win. My issues are - TIME: I've been playing online everyday for the past month via desktop computer and also on my mobile phone because you can rack up more entry's and tokens and supposedly increase your odds of winning something by doing both. Currently I have over 7,000,000 tokens and I am at their Platinum status. I have not won any gift cards from token redemption yet. My goal is to reach Black Diamond status in order to enter token drawings that everyone else gets locked out of (because your odds are probably higher then of winning, right?). At this pace it is going to take approximately 28 months of playing games all day long though to achieve this status. That is a big chunk of my life I don't really want to devote to PCH. I feel sorry for those who have achieved Black Diamond status because 3 years of your life is a lot to waste.
WEB INTERFACE: On a Windows 7 desktop, some of the ads trigger Norton security alerts so they contain virus or malware type programs. A lot of the ads cause Adobe Flash player to crash. Then your web browser hits snags where your cookie is corrupted and it locks you out and you have to clear your cookies or switch to another browser to keep going.
DAILY TOKEN COUNT: If you are trying get your name on the token leaderboard list for the most tokens won in a particular day, my limit gets stuck about somewhere around 135,000 or half the total other people are able to accrue. My overall tokens keep building and I've read the rules as to which tokens will count towards this but my counter keeps getting stuck anyway so there is no way to win the $250 they award every day even if I play every game they offer and click on as many tokens as I can via games, search or their front page sites.
$7K/WEEK SUPERPRIZE: So PCH was going to give away $7K a week for life, the big SuperPrize that everyone is dreaming of winning. They ran commercials saying to watch NBC on April 30th, 2015 to see who won. Then April 30th occurs and no show! People are posting all over the PCH facebook page asking what happened? As of May 1, 2015 there is no info on the winners list, PCH facebook page, or the PCHTV website. This was giveaway 4900. Funny thing if you copy/paste the giveaway fine print from their email, notice how giveaway 4900 is actually 49OO and $7000 is actually $7,OOO, why use the letter O's instead of zero's? Is this a sign we are getting duped? I don't like deceptive advertising.
WHAT YOU DO WIN: You will get to see a lot of advertisements which is how PCH makes their money. When you run keyword searches on their search engine you will start to see ads for what you searched for scattered across their other games & interfaces. Your name and info will be sold to advertisers. Debit cards come in the mail I never ordered. I have never ordered anything from PCH - I almost bought a blueberry bush but I didn't and I am glad I didn't after reading everyone else's insight here. I would say use a one time use disposable credit card number to protect yourself if you do wish to purchase something.
I did see a banner ad for Travelers Insurance where they offered me a $20 Walmart gift card if I would call them and get a quote. So I did because I was bored and they actually ended up beating my already great rate I had at Progressive by about $150 for auto and also $150 on my homeowners so I have been able to save some money plus I did get the Walmart gift card emailed to me as they promised. Since then I've seen another ad for a $20 Amazon gift card.

Publishers Clearing House has a confusing online "contest" program that does very little but keep sending potential customers back to Add-to-Cart options. As far as entering the contest is concerned, one actually does not know for sure whether one has entered the contest or not. A repetitive page that encourages one to SEARCH keeps coming up. Any yet, once you click on SEARCH, that page keeps coming back up, telling you to SEARCH. Then, later on, you get online messages from PCH saying that you have not taken advantage of your opportunity to SEARCH. This new "mega prize" sweepstakes is starting out just like the last one. Seven or eight or nine times last year PCH had a "special early look" for their 'mega prize" which was variously $5000 a week for life or $7000 a week for life, a million dollars up front or two million dollars in addition plus a new car, and so on and on and on. For some reason, the "lucky number" was never returned so only a million dollars, parceled out at $2500 a year for 30 years was supposedly won. Of course, the idiots who think they have a chance to win (at 1,750,000,000 to 1) will, during this period, buy more and more magazines or cheap Chinese-made junk they don't really want or need just to "improve" their "equal chance to win." Gosh, I've been exploring this website PCH.com, and it's been daunting. There are no odds posted of any of the games, as there are on the Lottery websites. Comparing the odds of the PCHLotto to Lottery using a Lottery Calculator I found this: PCH Pick 7 of 42 to win $5000 = 1 in 26,978,328 vs Lotto Pick 6 of 52 to win Jackpot starting at $2 milliion = 1 in 20,358,521.
So there you have it. It seems as if you have a better chance of winning up to $10 million playing the lotto than winning $5000 playing PCH Lotto. So right there you see they are messing with you. What is funny is they try to not even give you that chance. By selecting the dreaded "quick pick" the numbers are clearly grouped rather than spread out. If you select the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,42 then your chances of winning are zero.
It begs the question of what are the odds of each game? Since the games are digital it is really faith based that the game is not rigged. There must be some government oversight that it is possible to win a game. But does the govt have any influence over what the odds are to win a payout over each game? Somebody has to win something to show that the game is not a scam. But maybe some games have such unlikely odds that it is not exactly illegal. What is the evidence that anybody has ever won each game, like slots, since the prize patrol doesn't seem to respond to that?
One game I saw that I do not recommend is the bingo game. You play the game and instead of collecting tokens you gradually lose tokens. All in the hope of winning tokens, at 20 to 1 odds. And that is not even that many tokens. So the odds of winning the jackpot, of $250 are very remote. It is a very time consuming game, so you could play all day for years and not win the $250. It wastes time by preying on people’s desire to play bingo.
In looking for some actual odds online I saw it stated several times that to win a huge prize like $10 million, the odds are impossible, as in over a billion to one. Whaa.. If that were the case nobody would ever win. Surely some people do win, say, the forever prize of thousands a week, or a million, as we can see in the prize patrol videos. But what are the odds of that? I could not find that on the internet. If you have a few million PCH members, and a few people win each year, that is sort of like a million to one odds right? Not so bad? Or what?
I dunno. Even if you figure at a million to one odds you have a chance, then hey maybe there is a million to one chance that Roswell was real, the spacemen are visiting us, and they will either save us or destroy us. But is that worth counting on in our daily lives? So what games are worth playing and what are not? Is collecting tokens to try to win gift cards worthwhile? Because if you play every game they throw at you your brain will turn to mush and hours will be wasted. Eventually you will get old and complain.

I ordered one set of LED Lanterns and the order never went through, so I tried a second time and it went through. Next I get an email that I ordered 2 sets. I emailed them back and said, "NO, I ORDERED ONE." They sent me two anyway, so I immediately sent one right back to them. I paid for the one. Now they continuously keep trying to bill me for the other one that I don't even have. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU I ALREADY PAID FOR THE ONE ITEM I ORDERED? You sent two items, and I returned one of them immediately. WHY DO YOU KEEP TELLING ME TO PAY FOR SOMETHING I DO NOT HAVE? I will call the attorney general in NY if this continues to complain about the scam you are pulling. This is what I keep sending back to them. This is the order number they keep claiming is mine **.
Now a whole new claim they are sending me for something else I NEVER ORDERED! Airtight storage set. I don't even know what that is!!!??? Can anyone help me?? I am going to call the Attorney General or write to them via email in NY to tell them what is happening with PCH. I have tried to stop the emails and they just keep coming.

I have just finished calling PCH and canceling a subscription I never ordered and also some kitchen towels again I also did not order. Apparently the PCH shopping cart is automatic and DOES NOT REQUIRE you to checkout and pay for your items! I Repeat, the shopping cart at PCH assumes that you have bought everything on the list and does not require you to checkout and pay for the items but rather goes ahead and ships them out to you and bills you for them. I did not even know that I had inadvertently added these items to the shopping cart somehow by mistake (If I did actually do that, as I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt here, since the other option is UNTHINKABLE).
While I'm at it, I'd like to complain about the way that PCH requires you to confirm by email all the entries that you have already supposedly won in the games you play on their site. This infuriates me and seems completely redundant to boot. What a FANTASTIC WASTE OF TIME the PCH games ARE as it takes literally hours to play all of the daily games and then submit the entries that you buy with the tokens that you win each day, only to find out that it is all for nothing if you miss the following emails that they send you next to confirm the stupid entries that you have already supposedly won in the first place. CRIKEY!
If I had any idea that all of that was required just to get a 1 in 1,700,000,000 chance to win one of these actual money prizes, I would have never started to play in the first place. NOT TO MENTION the fact that I would then later be billed for items I DID NOT ORDER from their site VIA the extremely ambitious GHOST SHOPPING CART! I assume that many old people and also non-US citizens end up paying for these items due to intimidation and or fear of repercussions of what will happen if the don't pay.
In my mis-spent youth I once worked for a Hungarian 1 800 WATTS LINE sales team that sold wholesale office supplies and the salesmen would often send large orders (that the customer did not ask for) to foreigners and really old people because they knew that about 90% of these people WILL PAY for these items due to the exact same fear that they might get deported or bad credit if they don't. This is a really dishonest business practice and I'm a little surprised (very little on second thought) that PCH would stoop this low to make money but then again I imagine it's MILLIONS of DOLLARS we are talking about here. They did however cancel both orders when I called them without any argument, so I'll give them credit for that. Though that is probably due to the fact that they know what they are doing is DisHonest and therefore don't want to anger anyone who might actually DO SOMETHING about this...
So unless you really have nothing better to do, or have no dreams of your own, I recommend YOU DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME PLAYING PCH GAMES and if you do CHECK THE SHOPPING CART and EMPTY IT before you finish playing for the day otherwise you may find yourself buying items you did not actually purchase from their site. I also wish you luck. I sincerely hope you or better yet I actually win one of the actual real prizes.
Most of the prizes are just tokens you can use to buy chances to win other prizes which aren't actually valid unless you watch your email account like a hawk each and every day and then confirm your entries so that you may actually have that 1 in 1,700,000,000 chance of winning an actual real money prize. I hope one day that prize patrol rings the wrong doorbell (like one of a CRACK DEALER or METH COOK or MEXICAN CARTEL SAFE HOUSE) and gets blown away on live TV. That would really make MY DAY!

Have devoted many hours over several months playing their various games, getting tokens, and using them to enter sweepstakes for various products. Haven't won anything. My advice. Don't buy any of the junk they're selling. If you have an hour or so to kill everyday, jump through the hoops, and maybe you will win a $5 gift card for Amazon. I have completely lost all faith with Publishers Clearing House. I've been entering for 4 years. I've been unemployed for months, not eligible for any government assistance, still paying rent and utilities and have a grand total of about $500 in the bank, which will most definitely be gone by next month. I'm only 21 and living on my own, and I'm willing to bet that the winner of today's "forever" prize has a nice fancy house and lives in an upscale neighborhood, like all the other winners.
The Prize Patrol has only ever awarded prizes to people that are already doing pretty well for themselves and don't need the money. They've never been shown actually giving it to someone that needs it, like a family of six living in a cramped apartment, or a homeless person. And unless they award someone in CT, (the state I live in) which they've never done, I see no reason for people to waste their time with it. It doesn't even have to be me, just someone in CT that enters.
The only reason I became involved with racking up tokens in the first place was because I haven't had a job since Thanksgiving, and have nothing else to do while I look for another one. So to anyone out there that's reading this, if you have a job, don't waste your time with PCH. You'll make more money from your job than you ever would banking tokens at a ludicrous website. The tokens don't mean anything, they're just there to make you play more.

When he passed away, I donated the books to different charities and was shocked at how much he had spent on these books. Never read them, but was sure that a purchase would insure that he would win!! My husband was also hooked...he would not leave the house when the Prize Patrol was supposed to deliver the big prize to a lucky customer in our neighborhood!! You start off with a comfortable number of PCH e-mails, sponsor offers, sweepstakes entries -- a reasonable amount of time to devote to PCH every day. It is fun, at first. Invariably...they GET GREEDY! You will be punished for your efforts! Avoid all SEARCHES. They start off with one search e-mail per day; then it's two, then three...then, these e-mails will each start asking you to SEARCH three, four, five times/day. They will say you are a special -- silver, gold, whatever --PCH searcher to receive these "opportunities." Your "reward" for participating is to be asked for more and more and more searches -- AVOID ALL SEARCHES!
Beware the "continue" button. Even when you are unsubscribing, they stick the continue button on the screen that leads to exactly what you are trying to unsubscribe from. AVOID ALL GAMES THAT INVOLVE TOKENS. They are only a perpetual-motion machine that never ends. Be on the alert for stacking of sponsor offers. Don't allow them to increase the number of sponsor offers you must view between game-play screens; immediately quit playing the game when you notice they have started to stack sponsor offers. Don't let them draw you in to an uncomfortable level of time and effort! Because they will do their best to catch you up in an ever-increasing trap of tokens, searches, and sponsor offers that becomes a dreaded daily chore -- not fun anymore! I only play the 10-card/day lotto now. If they start to stack sponsor offers, I quit for the day; I avoid the tokens games that appear after the 10 lotto cards. Good Luck!!!

I couldn't relate to any of the complaints personally but am keenly aware that you DON'T have to make a purchase to enter PCH sweepstakes. Now here's the kicker. As soon as I left this site I went back to PCH games, as I thoroughly enjoy exercising my brain for free. After completing the Daily Word Roundup Frenzy, I clicked on the daily chance to win, and I WON the daily $250.00!!!!! At first I thought I had won 250 tokens, but it clearly said I won $250.00.
I filled out the winners form, and have been watching my name "Sallee ** won $250.00 Cash" scroll all day. And it was the very first game I played directly after reading this forum. Now I don't know about you, but I don't know any other company that you can play great games for free and win money for your efforts. I've now won a total of $255 in less than 45 days of game play, and I will continue to play everyday. So if you've been playing and haven't won anything yet, don't give up. I shall never, but ever again participate in Publishers Clearing House sweepstakes. Because of the millions of entries, the odds of winning anything are almost impossible, if at all. I find it quite odd that the "winners" all seem to have their own homes and are fairly comfortable.
As for the token games, they are nothing more than a valuable waste of time and just another exercise in futility. Only those persons that can afford to stay on the computer all day fall prey to gathering senseless tokens. Of the millions that play these token games, it is just a handful that win anything. Oh, and let's not forget the hyped up e-mails urging to reply or lose a qualifying number as chosen by PCH. Yuk! No more for me!

I want to share a story with you about my 92-year-old mother who passed away January 17, 2015. My mother was a very alert and energetic woman who lived independently right up until the time of her death. She was a very able person who took care of her own finances including paying all her bills. However, in January of last year (2014) she became a victim of the deceptive advertising tactics of Publishers Clearing House. PCH transactions began showing up in my mothers bank statements in February 2014. Through December, she wrote checks to PCH for a total of $1662.52. When we reviewed her financial information we discovered that she had a balance of only $164.28 on 12/24/14. In previous years she had maintained a balance of over $2000.00.
We believe that my mothers transactions with PCH were detrimental to her health. In October, she expressed concern about her ability to pay the bills and began obsessing about the arrival of the prize patrol at her door. She based this on her phone conversations and the letters she received from PCH with detailed directions to her home. My brother and my daughter both commented on her behavior about the PCH grand prize. They said that she refused to leave the house because she believed the prize patrol was in her neighborhood. She was clear-headed and realistic about everything else.
On December 23rd my mother had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. She was worried about paying her bills and did not want to go home. Up until this time my mother had a very strong will to live. She went to rehab but never showed the determination to recover. She was stressed out about not being able to pay her bills to the point that she did not want to recover and go home. We honestly believe that her experience with PCH contributed to her depression and ultimately her death. I am reaching out to you with the hope that something can be done to prevent another family from experiencing this tragedy. I am sure this is not the first time this has happened and will not be the last unless something is done about this type of advertising campaign that targets seniors like my mother.

So far the only thing I have ever earned from them were tokens. I have (for about 5 years now) decided that it is all a bunch of B.S. They send me letters and or emails telling me how close I am to winning but I can never find the winner in my area. I would recommend using PCH if you have a bunch of free time and an extra email address. I spend a lot of time dealing with sites like PCH and apps that say you can get free money and win big. I actually have won on PCH only once though. I won a $20 Target Gift card. I had accumulated about 1.2M tokens at this point. This took me about a week playing every single night for about 2-4 hours a night.
I did every scratch card, instant win, sweeps, blackjack, bingo, superfan, games, basically everything I could do to win tokens. I also have two mobile games I was winning tokens on (very few on the mobile games though). I'm guessing I spent maybe 20 hours on the site. I won the gift card on the instant win skee-ball game. I was really surprised I won, I hardly pay attention when I'm playing these games. I looked at the screen and it didn't say a token amount so I was really excited. I thought I might have won the big cash prize but it was just a target card. Out of all of the free money apps and games and everything I've ever played this is the first I've ever actually won on (other than lucktastic which I highly recommend).
So for all of those saying PCH doesn't pay out, you're just not lucky enough to win I guess. I'm pretty sure the odds of winning the card was like 1 in 24,000 or something. So if you're really looking to win just play scratch off cards in real life. I've won hundreds from the PA lottery but I've also spent a good bit but I'd say I've won more than I spent. In short you can win from PCH but the odds are against you worse than you can imagine. Some people play candy crush, I'd rather spend my time doing this because at least I can win from it. Also the odds of winning the $5,000 a week forever is like 1 in 1.3 billion so good luck!
The odds of winning 1M from most of the PA lottery cards is about 1 in 1.2 million so you're 10 times more likely to walk into a gas station and buy a $20 card and win a million. But PCH is free so you can play all you want and people won't say you have a gambling problem.

I have been ordering from them for years, and have "earned" 27 mil tokens on their various game sites. Many unscrupulous people pose as PCH--especially on Facebook and Twitter. The real PCH DOES NOT issue friend requests on social media, nor do they announce the winner of their various sweepstakes in advance. (I was told via Twitter I had won in November... I knew it was a scam, but the scammer used a real picture of a member of the Prize Patrol. The name was just a little off). The company that issues vouchers for expensive items is NOT PCH...although they do have a similar sounding name...probably intended to confuse the folks who buy these items from them.
I have had a problem with a PCH scratch off 50% discount not being honored. It happened in September 2014. I wrote a letter and have received no response. Fortunately, I wanted the item any way. When I have received an item I didn't want, I sent it back unopened and my account was credited promptly upon receipt.
I do have an elderly family member who thought purchasing items would ensure winning the sweepstakes (at one point she promised to pay off my student loans--she was struggling and I had no idea why she said she would, although I thought it was sweet of her to want to pay them off. It turns out she thought she was definitely going to win lots of money from PCH). Sadly, she did not win and spent a great deal of money she didn't really have on PCH merchandise...much of it unopened. We did not find out about her PCH dream until after she had passed away. Her guest room had a huge number of packages she had ordered from PCH hoping to win the sweepstakes. I wish we had known so we could have shown her the "Sweepstakes Facts Brochure" they include in their mailings. If she had seen the odds of winning, she might have saved her money. She did not seem to be aware that she did not have to place an order to win, bless her heart! She simply wanted to make life nicer for her loved ones so she kept spending money she didn't have to make that dream come true.
It is a wonderful dream to become a PCH Sweepstakes millionaire, but for most of us it is just a dream. The current $10,000.00 a week for life giveaway (4900 ending 2/29/16) has estimated odds of winning stated as 1 in 1,700,000,000. This means our chances aren't "very" good, but I enjoy the games and the dream...so I will keep playing. I just don't "expect" to win a life altering prize from PCH. If I ever do, I will be eternally grateful! I am very thankful for the small cash prizes and magazines I have won along the way. Thank you, PCH for the chance to dream big, and for the wins that have come my way!
PLEASE make sure the company you are dealing with is PCH. Be aware that they will NOT make personal contact with you to declare you a winner via phone or social media. If you are blessed with winning a major prize...you will be SURPRISED by the Prize Patrol! If you are only playing their games/ordering from them in order to win a big monetary prize...please be advised that statistically our chances aren't very good to be a major prize winner.
If you are like me, and enjoy the games, and truly want the items you order...then by all means...keep on playing, and like me....you'll probably win some small cash/e-gift prizes along the way. If you asked my family, they would tell you that each time I have won a prize (mine were from playing various PCH games online) I have acted like I have won the "big" one! It is certainly a day brightener...no matter the amount! Please don't spend money you don't have to win a prize that has such a large number of people trying to win it (1:1,700,000,000 anyone?) Good luck to everyone who shares my PCH dream! We just need to keep in mind...it is a dream not a promise.

I ordered a multiple socket plug and included my half off coupon with my order. When I received the item, I noticed I wasn't given half off. I called and spoken with customer service representative named Jay. I told Jay the reason I was calling. I was told that the half off was taken included in the price, which I disagreed. I mentioned if that was so, why was the half off coupon was included in my package. Jay went on to tell me that he saw I would be getting a check through the mail because I have won the scratch off. I asked again about my half off. Jay told me I could get the half off if I settle the bill right then which I paid with my debit card. This happened in Jan 2014 and to this day I never received a check for winning the scratch off. I too have ordered many items from PCH and most did not work. I no longer order from PCH anymore. This was done over the phone and I never signed any kind of contract or was told that I'd have to pay any kind of balance if I did. When I tried to cancel, PCH told me that I was responsible for over $1,000 to pay for the magazines that I ordered. They said I could cancel but that I had to pay my balance. PCH tried to continue to bill my credit card for the monthly fee. I took that up with my Credit Card agency and they blocked the payments. I had to do this twice. Now I have gotten a bill through the mail. Can they sue me for the balance that they think I owe them for something I never agreed to over the phone? There is no signed contract and I was definitely misled. There was no receipt. This was all done over the phone.

I was notified I needed to do an interview so I called. I was never told why I had to be "interviewed". About 20 minutes later, I received an email telling me I would no longer receive email or physical mail because I met the criteria PCH had agreed to with the Attorney General of the state of Florida. I was never told what the criteria was but I met it. I did some digging and found that 33 states and the District of Columbia had imposed restraints on PCH when dealing with senior citizens. A little more digging and found PCH was reprimanded in 1999, 2000, 2014 is the latest I could find, for using terminology that is confusing to people (older folks, seniors in other words) in making them think they won or were winning the sweepstakes. Also, if you spend a certain amount, you are "blacklisted". No one at PCH has told me what that amount is.
I received a letter from a Mr. Christopher L. Irving - Asst. Vice President, Consumer Affairs - stating the following: "...PCH is required to contact & interview customers whose spending activity with our company exceeds a certain dollar level. Your account was identified as having met the criteria outlined in the settlement... We were required to remove your name and address from our mailing list." He goes on to say any order I placed will be refused. I want to know if anyone who isn't a "senior" been kicked off the mailing and ordering list. My favorite statement he recites is "At Publishers Clearing House your satisfaction is our number one priority". Beware anyone who is not a senior, they will eventually come for you. Thank you.

Ever since I started playing PCH on the computer I've had a lot of issues with my pc. It seems that PCH shares all your info with several companies regardless if those companies are a scam or not. Also I really feel that PCH's online site isn't a protected site at all. I always get multiple pop ups every time I'm on the site playing games or doing anything for that matter with the PCH site. The pop ups slow my computer down big time & also makes it freeze a lot. I don't have the issue with freezing & pop ups much at all on other online sites, it's very, very rare on other sites. I've been playing PCH for years & haven't even won $5 gift card. BUT, when my husband started playing he won a $5 gift card almost right away. But he wasn't given away access use of the card or prove that he won it. Also PCH had somehow linked his PCH account with mine & he uses a totally separate email address. So this made both of our PCH accounts invalid at that time, I guess. So I called PCH and they told me they will have my husband's account unsubscribed & for him to wait at least 2 weeks to start another PCH account. So we did that but now he doesn't receive any emails from PCH other than the first & only one they sent when he re-activated his PCH account.
I just really thought since so many people have won through out many many years, that PCH was an honest, legitimate & reputable company. But after my experiences & all the reviews I've read about other people's experiences, I really don't think they are as legit as I once thought. Also I'm going to look into this "DQ" thing I've read about & it having to do with being on a black list. PCH should make people aware that their sweepstakes account has been put on the black listed & why for whatever reason & that they are playing games & wasting their time when they can never win because of this black list crap. There's a lot of other issues with PCH I could get into but it doesn't matter at this point & is just a waste of time, apparently because PCH can't be trusted for several reasons.

Pch keeps advertising merchandise to buy each and every time you play a game or check their email. PCH members sometimes send a video to you asking to make a last purchase to be put in their final drawings. PCH also broke their promise that you pay only a monthly installment on merchandise purchase. Instead, they bill you for the whole amount and claim that you are late with your payment and that your account need to be paid in full. What about the monthly installments you've been paying them. I am also unhappy with deceitful email letters they've been sending me. One time they sent me an email stating that they tried to deliver on a certain date but fail. They also sent me maps and pictures of someone driving over my house to deliver a prize. They also told me that someone with my set of initials in my hometown will be pick for the next winner.
They kept repeating the number 3080 going to be the winning number. I was deceived thinking that I could be the next winner because the number 3080 is attached to the end of my account number. When PCH was still selling magazines using those little stickers, I used to order the maximum of four magazines and mail off my sweepstakes entry. The magazines would start arriving, and I enjoyed reading them. Eventually, as the prize deadline came and went (and I never won anything), I would start getting billed for the magazines, at which point I wrote "PLEASE CANCEL" on the bills, and that was it. I did this every single time I received a sweepstakes entry from them. Over roughly 30 years, I got hundreds of magazines this way. Seemed fair, considering their literature strongly implies that you are a heartbeat from winning millions of dollars that never come. The kicker is that they never took my name off their mailing list--instead, because of the sheer number of orders I placed, I became a "Premium Customer," or something like that. Well when it finally got here, it was not what was advertised and I returned it, and the gentlemen (Harold **) said he could send me another one that was new not refurbished but I would have to pay another $140.13 COD when it was delivered. I said okay. So the "new" one they sent wasn't worth what they said and I paid out of pocket $525.87.
I returned the second one and 2 1/2 weeks went by and I called and he tried to tell me that there was only one computer returned. Then when I got angry he said "oh yeah, it is here but it came back damaged and not in the same box it was sent." I told him there was not a scratch on it, I bubbled wrapped it very well, and no it wasn't the original box but it was a very sturdy box and I knew darn well that there shouldn't have been a scratch. So then he says "oh, I see you are right, it was just the wrong box, there was no scratch." He was trying not to have to pay me a full refund and I demanded that the part I put on my credit card should be put back on the credit card, and the part I paid cash for should be sent back to me with a check. I have never ordered from PCH until this year. I have a debilitating chronic health condition which makes it difficult for me to get out and shop. If I see a practical item I can use I'll order it instead of trying to go out shopping for it. I had ordered a few things from PCH for that reason. Two of the items never arrived even though I have paid for them. If you don't pay in a certain amount of time they charge you a late fee, never mind that you never received it. In August I was on vacation one week and when I returned from vacation I had an email from PCH saying they were processing my order from August 14th, and a few days later another message that it had shipped even though I sent a message that I didn't order anything on August 14th.
I contacted them through the address they give on their website for consumer affairs (which you have to hunt to find). I got what appeared to be the response they probably send to everyone and it says if your issue hasn't been resolved in 7 days to let them know. I actually gave them 2 weeks to respond and I never heard from anyone. I have sent another message to them and of course I have not received a response. I didn't expect to "win" anything from PCH as the odds are astronomical. But I didn't know they were this kind of fraudulent company.
If you had to give a credit card to charge items to when you order things, you'd have some way to dispute the charges through your credit card company or bank. But they open an "account" in your name where they bill you directly, so if you refuse to pay they start adding interest and late charges, and then report you to the credit reporting agencies and it appears you have no recourse. Where is the government agency that regulates these kind of fraudulent business practices? Let's face it. People ordering from PCH aren't wealthy people who can hire lawyers when they get taken advantage of. Where can I report this and get help with it? Because PCH isn't doing anything. They don't care. They are cleaning up by taking advantage of elders and people like me.

You know how hard it is to win the lottery. Well, PCH is all based on odds too. Though your chances of winning with PCH is better than winning the many states lottery. And they do list the winners every month. It is on a running banner on their PCH-games site. I play the Slots, Casino, Black Jack and Bingo games. The following is examples of how they're rigged from each game. And as I said I have a 4gig Memory Card to prove it.
1. The Slots game - You never ever get the required 3 or 4 or 6 Bonus Cards to win anything.
2 The Casino Game Board:A. The wheel you spin to tell you the number of moves for the game piece to move, on several occasions has landed on the $1000,00 Prize then immediately jumped to the 6spces
B. The Roulette Wheel has landed on the Diamond Scratch Card, and each time the card reads, "Sorry this scratch card is not a winn".
C. The High-Low Game, No matter what amount I hit that card always reads, "Sorry this scratch card is not a winner". In fact I even have a small sign I made to put right under the card just before I click the mouse to activate the coin scratching off the card to scratch it off, and I leave there to show the result after the scratch-off process is completed.
D. When you hit the Slot Machine you either get Diamonds or scratch cards. Same applies with those "Scratch Card."
2. The Black Jack Game - If you get a Black Jack, you never get the required 21 to win any kind of money
3. The Bingo Game which requires all the letters in the word "J*A*C*K*P*O*T" to win that prize. I've had 6 of the seven letters usually "J*A*C*K*P*_*T" on numerous occasions. Once I was only missing the "C" and 3 other times I was only missing the "K". On one occasion I got 3 "A's" and 2 "C's" in one night after already having them with the other 5 of 7 letters, but no "O".
PCH awards money to half brain dead people who just seem to know that they're coming. The guy who won the $7,000.00 a week for life came out and looked like he was already celebrating before they had even arrived or he was on heavy drugs. Either way they will never convince me that he was randomly picked. I mailed the pans back to Publishers Clearing House with my own money and asked for a refund and to not bill me for these pans. The response was that Publishers Clearing House doesn't pay for return shipment of anything. I paid almost $9. It's not the amount that I spent that makes me upset, it's the fact that they could care less what I paid and I am not the one who shipped damaged products to myself.
I feel this is a lousy business practice for Publishers Clearing House to have and I am very unsatisfied. Every business that I have ever purchased anything from in the mail, online, etc., if the product was damaged, didn't fit, etc. the package always came with a way to return the product and postage paid and with no questions asked. Publishers Clearing House is nothing but scammers. I have bought things and entered this contest for 20 years and have never won a dime. I am recommending that people buy things from reputable companies to where if they need to return something, they won't get stuck with paying the bill to return the product.
After I found out they wouldn't return my money, I sure wasn't going to ask them to send me another set of cake pans even though they were supposed to be gifts for the holiday. No way! I am done with this company with purchases and wasting time, stamps and energy online entering your ridiculous sweepstakes contests that in reality benefit no one. Publishers Clearing House is a joke!!

I asked for a return shipping label and was told that the return postage had to be paid by me. Also, I would not be given a refund for this.

They actually want you to buy magazine and products I don't actually need. I bought TV guide subscription thinking chances to win a prize would be better, I played all their games and nothing happens only points. It's a fake and should be not be allowed to make people think they're going to win.

I have proof to what I'm telling you, email, and I will send it to you. My computer burn playing all of their games. I'm using my daughter's today. Today, 11-7-2013, I just finally decided to look up the real facts of PCH, and it brought me to this place. And I am not shocked at all by hearing that it is a scam. I know that "if it's too good to be true, then it ain't real," but I still want to believe I can win if I play enough. Since I signed up with PCH.com, I got a ** load of junk email in my inbox wanting me to buy stuff or to try this and I can get rewards to try it. Couples of weeks ago, I entered that $7,000 week for life. They have sent me this form that looks so professional saying I am entered into the contest, if I play those scratch card games, MAN ALIVE!
These people keep giving you reasons to stay and they get your hopes up but at the deadline, you don't hear if you won or if anyone won, and I think maybe those people we see who have won even just $5.00 are fake people... Ugh, don't know and don't want to stress about it anymore. Could use the money for sure, but not going to waste my time anymore with it.

Pissed about multiple billings after paid in full - threats of collection agency action. I will pay again, but will tell anyone I can about these finger and toe counting crooks. They should not be allowed to conduct their deceptive trade. Also much of their product line is overpriced junk. Pure junk. The clip on lights fall apart by turning them on (item being over billed). Saw them in Dollar Tree for 99 cents compared to four dollars 50 cents. I would not buy gold for a buck an ounce from these people. Count me an ex-customer.

Over time my mother had a series of small strokes. She was very good at hiding the symptoms. By the time we noticed she had racked up quite an account with this organization. She has been diagnosed with dementia. All along she was playing the sweepstakes in her name & my daughters. Signing her name & my daughters & had 2 separate accounts, all played from her (mom's) computer & her one email address. I phoned & spoke to several representatives over the phone & it was agreed that I would send back as much products as I could find. Some of the things on the list even the representatives did not know what they were???? So I took pictures of everything & returned them in the mail.
Today I got a collection notice for $42???? This company takes advantage of old people who are sick & in-firmed. So sick of their low-life tactics. They promise everything & deliver junk to people's houses. There is NO way I am paying this money, especially when their own employees do not even know what she bought.

I have been entering since 1978 but it only says since 1995. I have ordered a lot of products and magazines especially within these recent years. Because I do order so much, yes I have had to send some products back. I have never had a problem returning an item. In fact, I have found PCH to be very helpful! I also have a lot of really good products I use everyday!
I have to admit the last winner of the $5000 Forever prize really took the wind out of my sails because I was really playing hard. Played everything, mailed everything, even sent in my own handmade entries. I never missed a day. I thought what did he do that I didn't do? After thinking about it I realized he just got lucky. The chances of winning are really slim but if you don't enter you don't have any chance at all.
I have won a $10.00 Amazon gift card. I will continue to play and hope and pray that I do win the grand prize someday. It's free but it does take a lot your time however. I do like PCH games too! Good luck!

Someone may win within time but let me tell you I've received 10 different calls from out of the state with telemarketers trying to sell me something in the past 6 hours. I just got this phone with a new number so I know no one would know my name with this #. Only thing I could think of is the PCH. They constantly send me junk mail I have to scroll all the way down to find my mail for work or anything else! All in all, they just want you to buy stuff from other companies or sign up for stupid crap! If anyone knows how to remove them from keep calling me, let me know!

I do have a copy of email and copy of my entry. "More good news, Lynda! It is also confirmed that a nationwide search for a super prize winner of $5,000 a week for life includes the Madison area. These people just called me tonight and told me I was past due on my bill of 83.00. I have been paying them 25.00 a month but they still harass me for the money every week. I told them today if they do not quit calling me I am going to my attorney general. Also I told them you failed to cash about 6 checks for a total of about 30.00. They actually told me the checks probably got shredded. I told them that is not my problem. The more they harass me the less money they are going to get.

I ordered an item from them and was expecting a summary bill showing all associated charges for my approval before final submission. That never took place. I just received an email confirming the name of the item ordered and the date. No other information such as order number were included to enable me to cancel. Since I did this on Sunday, I had to wait until Monday morning to cancel by phone.
When I called Monday morning, the rep told me it was too late to cancel. When I asked what the total price was for the $6.95 item, she told me $17.95. I do have the option of returning it at my expense. To put it in socially acceptable terms, they are crooks. Do yourself a favor and stop all their emails. If you have hopes of winning one of their prizes, keep getting their mail to garbage up your box, but don't order anything. Go to Amazon.com and get the item cheaper... or at least be aware of the cost.

Ok so I tried the so-called PCH Games online for chances to win. Yet I have to agree with the ones that say they play and when it says Wilds, it goes into error. Played the slots games 2 times and on both received wilds and went into error message. This is a scam. They script it so you can't win anything. It's pretty clear with the picture I posted that I had 4 wilds and this was not the first time. If you don't want people to win, why keep PCH going? Yes it’s free and not like the lottery but least with that you won’t get error messages. Pictures below.

Those people rig those games. I am not blind nor am I stupid. I actually thought they were legit. But I saw today with my own 2 eyes what a SCAM they are running. Isn't there something to be done? Ordered The Lost Books of The Bible from PCH some months ago. When I received them and began reading...I couldn't believe what I was seeing. The print was as if it had never been edited. The punctuation was horrendous! I sent in a payment and a note describing (I do not have access to a printer and am disabled) the inferior quality. My dissatisfaction with their product and that I will never order from them again. I received no response only another bill. PCH is shameless.

If you play PCH, you have a better chance of winning something, anything, with the lottery. Once you join, you'll be bombarded with spam, the likes you will never see from any other games. Every couple of days, you'll get another game or search that says "final offer" and it never ends. They will lead you on telling you that someone with your initials will win in your zip code but it will never happen. These guys are masters of leading you on. So play, if you don't mind wasting your time. The only plus is, it's free to play. Another note, the stuff I've bought has been total junk and not worth any money. I bought a couple of subscriptions which wasn't too bad, but one, "Hot Rod" is so intermittent, I won't re-subscribe.

I ordered a dryer Lint Lizard from Publisher's Clearing House and received it in the mail after about a week. The only problem is that I sent a check back in the envelope they gave me and waited for over a month only to receive a notice that I am delinquent with them. I took a look at my bank account and lo and behold, they never cashed the check. I'm pretty sure it didn't just "get lost in the mail". I don't want to cancel the check because I will get charged for it, but I think that this is ridiculous. My wife and I have never had a company not cash a check. We ended up paying it from their website and got a confirmation email. I just think that it is stupid that a check that probably arrived back in their office a week and never got cashed. We had money in the account the entire time so there was no reason why it wouldn't...oh well. Didn't affect my credit, so who cares? Just won't use a check the next time and use their web payment system to avoid it not processing.
However, on the brighter note, I know a lot of people here are complaining of the low odds of winning and to be honest, it's a free system to use. Yeah, by playing the lotto you might have a slightly better chance of winning, but still you aren't paying anything to enter Publisher's Clearing House and there are actual winners of the $5,000 a week for life. If you find the ads annoying while trying to play the scratch games or the other games on their website, here's a recommendation. Install Google Chrome with AD Block or Firefox with AD Block Plus as an extension and it basically just skips the advertisements instantly so you are back playing another scratch game almost instantly. It lowered the amount of time that I spent on the website doing everything from 35 minutes to about 15 minutes, which is nothing out of my day. Something that I am definitely willing to do for the odds of actually being a winner.
Anyway, I will continue to play the PCH games and enter for the $5,000 a week for life because there is proof everywhere that this contest is legitimate. Who knows, maybe I will be the next one? Can't take the chance of not because of a faulty ordering system. Just won't pay by check again. Problem solved. Otherwise, I wish you all the best of luck.
