I enjoy playing PCH. But I found that the end dates changed on two online sweepstakes. The dream house and the million dollar plus bonus. I have a copy of the sweepstakes facts that say the end dates were 12/31/18. Now they are 12/31/19. When I called and emailed, I was given vague answers. I was under the assumption that end dates cannot change. Is this common practice with PCH?

I am not sure the Publishers Clearing House "no purchase necessary to enter" is really free? I hope it is. I was prompted by several emails and have still not received a entry confirmation number. They keep saying you are almost done, prompting buy one more thing??? There was no option "click here" to enter free listed anyplace on their site. I seldom buy online and I rarely play games. I only wanted to try a free entry. I ended up ordering the least expensive item to continue with the entry process. I am not giving a bad review, only questioning the "free to enter" wording.

I started to fill out their form as many have mentioned thinking that it's 'free', well, it isn't as the site has some circular logic that prevents you from 'canceling' out of the program, after seeing that it forces you albeit surreptitiously to buy something anything before it let you go, I went back to the form and deleted my information - or so I thought despite this and my never completing their program have received a light bulb for $14.95 a with shipping of $5.99 and $1.83!!! This is beyond ridiculous, and highly unethical. As many have pointed out.
However, as this is a convenient conduit to vent frustration the question remains - what is the Consumer Affairs site/organization doing to stop this??? It seems ludicrous that with so many complaints nothing is ever done. The only way to get them off your back is to pay, so they win, but why isn't something done? I recommend people write the attorney general's office of their state complaining for some action to be taken, the consumer protection and various organizations seem incapable or unwilling to do so.

This entire thing is a scam. You enter follow all steps and then a final page as no options other than entering a game etc. You then wonder where you go as no other buttons exist to finalize? You check out and the next day you get another email telling you're not finished, on and on and on... all while saying no purchase necessary. No credibility at all, this has become a behavioral reinforcement scam to keep you performing over and over in the hopes you will give in and take in offer.

I am amazed that Publisher's Clearing House is permitted to continue to operate the way it does. I decided to enter...why not, I thought. Well, instead of magazines (I remember the old days)...they are offering a huge assortment of items, all of which you pay for in installments plus shipping. That is not the problem. I have followed all the directions, and every day I receive a message telling me that my entry is not complete (even though the previous day indicated that it had been submitted) and pleading with me to look one more time at the huge selection of items for sale. I have continued to do this to see if it ever ends, and so far it has not. (This began on January 1, 2019. Today is the 13th and I have received 27 email messages from PC). I I am not sure I will ever receive an actual number, and I am warning you...do not waste your time!

My 88 year old mother has thought for years she is going to win! She has spent thousands and thousands of dollars on the junk they sell. I told her many times not to waste her money on such junk...and just go to the Dollar store and buy the same type stuff. She said she had stopped, but I just intercepted a bill from PCH for over a thousand dollars! It's ridiculous! I'm not making this up! I can't believe it! But my Mother does!

They don’t deserve one star. I have purchased several items but they keep nagging with chronic emails with a slight threat...even though they say “purchase not necessary.” They use terminology that urges you to buy for a higher rating... Would lead you to think your chances are better if you buy one more item...over and over again. And the date for winning seems to be pushed up all the time. So done with this. It would be great to win but chances are highly unlikely.

Years ago I got so stressed with the numerous mailings from PCH that I wrote and asked them to discontinue spending mail to me. After doing some research, I realized that there was not any chance of me winning and even less than some because I am **. I checked the winners' zip codes against the demographics and it did not surprise me that next to no ** lived in the winning zip codes. The $5,000 a week winner was from Moro, Illinois where the population is 99.6% **. It is a shame that this company sends a mountain of mail to me knowing I would never, ever win. So, my request to PCH is to send your mail to those zip codes that you seek your winners.

My mother-in-law died and I had to cancel all the nonsense she got herself involved with concerning PCH. Being of sound mind and ability, I can't begin to tell you how difficult it was. They kept sending packages even though I returned them without opening them and told them to close her account. They kept charging her for the packages I returned. I called them to stop sending those large packages of junk to her house. I had to call them three times to actually get them to stop. I have been on the phone numerous times to cancel the TV guide subscription which should be a HUGE refund.
They kept hanging up on me and once you hit "3" to cancel an order, the automation sends you in a loop "I'm sorry, I didn't understand that entry". I feel bad for the poor elderly who have to deal with this and can't stop it. And I bet PCH takes them to court if they don't pay for the ** they send to them monthly. IT IS OUT OF HAND! SHUT THEM DOWN! Once I told them all our conversations were being recorded, they assured a refund within two weeks. Go figure.

This is the second time this has happened. I hate it and will not enter their stupid contests ever again. I am miffed and will book no guff from them. I wonder how many other people are scammed by them like this. The package this time was 3 light bulbs and the full price for three bulbs is some 18.00. I can get these very bulbs for 4 dollars at my local Dollar General or Family Dollar store. I am a frugal person and would never order lame bulbs like this. In fact I have better ones I bought at the Family Dollar and they are LED. Much better of a energy saving light bulb. They send you merchandise and think they can make you pay for it. PCH is constantly bombarding me with opportunities to enter and win whatever their current millionaire scheme is. They claim their “no purchase” necessary to enter any given contest and yet when you attempt to do that, they continually bombard you with requests to please purchase something and reconsider all they have to offer with these products. And their continual email gets worse with each mailing stating you going to lose this wonderful opportunity to maybe win this contest if you ignore their emailings and don’t purchase something. It’s Bait and Switch plain and simple and they need to be put out of business by the regulators who oversee this stuff because you CANNOT enter to win ANY CONTEST WITHOUT making a purchase or subscribing to a magazine. They already were exposed for tossing out people’s entries a few years ago. Somebody please do something!!! It needs to Stop!!!

Awful site. They lure you in saying things like "search and win" or "instant win games". The only thing you do is bank tokens. All the emails they send about gaining more entries are cleverly disguised adware. You can search to win but once you search it gives you 250 tokens and doesn't even show you your supposed "entry". Instead you'll be shown a Google search result and a tiny picture saying something like "double entries".
Once clicked you will be greeted by a never-ending list of garbage to buy online. Yeah. That's what I want to do. I want to spend MORE money online in a day than a gambling addict spends on scratchers in a month. All to enter a contest I'm fairly certain no one has ever actually won. Google it. Just look for 1 PCH winner who isn't a fake online personality or paid actor and you'll get zero results. Winners don't exist. The contest is fake. The entries are fake. The winners are fake. The only thing that's real are the dirty lies and the sponsors trying to sell you useless junk.

So I had accumulated around 50 million tokens. It took me almost 5 years of playing all their games and I figured if I redeemed 50 million tokens all at once I would surely win. After all it took me 5 years of saving them. Surely no one else was going to spend that much in one shot right? Lo and behold I didn't win. Almost 20,000 entries on 1 gift card and I didn't win. I'm sorry but that's bs. It's rigged for sure.

I paid $17.20 for the cookies. I got an electric can opener that cost $30.44. Could have a working can opener for $14.00 at Walmart. To boot, the can opener doesn't work. I learned a valuable lesson. I only started entering in the last few months. It is a tremendous amount of work and seems to have no real value. Just tokens, tokens, tokens... Out of pure curiosity I searched and searched for real winners online and can only find testimonials on the PCH blog... Feel like they are paying actors to accept the prize and it's not actually real. You would think with technology today we would be able to find true winners and their testimonials somewhere other than the PCH blog. I mean look at Facebook, you know when someone is at the convenience store buying a soda...
Why can't anyone find a PCH winner testimonial? Seems just too good to be true that someone actually wins to me. I could be totally wrong, just unable to find solid proof. I feel bad for those that have been entering for years and years! I will say you are committed and commitment is a great thing. If you are still entering I wish you the best of luck! I don't think I am going to continue, it just takes up so much time and from what I can see no one actually wins.

I believe that the Tokens is a scam. If it is not why do I not have my prize nor all of my over 5,000,000 tokens? My PCH Tokens account reflected 5,380,600. I looked on the site this week (October 30, 2018) and saw that there were $25 cash gift cards for 500 tokens each, so I put in 9999 tokens. There was no mention initially that it was a game. I assumed that I’d get $25 cards for my tokens. I later learned about some mention that these were not applied to my tokens, but this is not true because I now have 372,450 tokens left as of today. PCH decided not to honor their own game yet took my tokens. I did not put in tokens for any other cards. I am asking that PCH rewards honor their $25 cash gift cards with the 9,999 tokens I played.

I received no money after many searches for 7 years, calls and emails, they denied my claim and I told them they were frauds. Never send me mail again or email but they are relentless.
I consider them a virus and a Trojan horse, and a worm in my computer and have filed them into my trash and have them as a part of the cleaning that my security does weekly, but, they continue to come back. I tell her and tell her it is a scam, but because she was entered in the PCH contest, she thinks it is real. This terrible company should be ASHAMED that they are scamming elderly people. They can try to pretend they are not in on the scams, but my mother does not get online and I am the one who entered her personal info in the "legitimate" site at PCH.com just prior to this mess starting. I tried calling, no one picks up on Sunday's, I tried to cancel online but requires that I have an account number which I do not get till my order comes. They say it's on all communications I get, not true. They also say they expedite orders... so by tomorrow not sure I will be able to cancel.
I hate I can't see summary of an order before I decide... with all costs. Plus I need customer friendly way to cancel an order any time. I really do not like PCH. I expect most people just accept whatever... because it becomes so much work to just figure out what is going on with order especially if you want to change. I have been playing PCH online token games since August 2011. I won about $90 from 2011 to 2013. I only ever won on their Facebook pages. I only play games that pay out $100,000.00 or more. I use an ad blocker to kill their commercials and website posting ads. The practical upshot is it saves my bandwidth from unnecessary garbage downloaded and really saves time on hitting their games and then getting out.
I play about 3 hours a day. I've not won anything since September of 2013. That was a $5.00 gift code for Amazon. I might buy something from them twice a year. I play, I think I'm a fool. PCH is not allowed to run a scam of this magnitude. I have the same frustrations as most of you. I do believe there are loopholes that they use to avoid awarding prizes from their online games! I mean to play a game & then see the object you are tossing, throwing suddenly take a turn when it gets close to the goal-that's rigging! You don't have to order anything to win, that's actually against the law. So to you who are frustrated from ordering items, that isn't going to help you win. With this many complaints they should be thoroughly investigated or have the decency to respond themselves!

This so-called website is nothing more than a ploy to pawn off cheaply made and inferior merchandise at inflated prices; at even higher shipping costs. The games are, as I see them, programmed (rigged) by either very sophisticated software designed to award certain points at given times and virtually never give the player a chance at winning any actual money. There are times when a player even loses points because of their so-called "technical difficulties." That is pure hogwash. PCH management reminds me of carnival hawkers selling snake oil to unsuspecting people looking for a cure. In this case, they falsely raise hopes of the vast majority of their players with their silly games. The use of advertising is relentless, redundant and extremely repetitive creating, for me at least, a very negative attitude toward the advertiser.

Been playing PCH 4 years, they were formed in 1954 but didn't pay any money for 17 years. They average paying 2 million per year, so figure the millions playing versus millions they promise, don't add up. A good example is the Ford truck, ever hear or see it posted won, the houses you are suppose to win, have you saw or heard anyone posted on PCH website that won? They announced in a small town 30 miles from my home, I worked for a utility company, PCH showed a winner of 1,000,000 dollars, even announced the florist they bought her flowers from, I went to florist shop, owner said he knew nothing about PCH and they hadn't been in his shop. I searched our utility records for someone by the name posted, never found anyone by that name.
They even had the street where this took place, I ask everyone that lived on that street if they saw a PCH van making an award, never found anyone who saw them. So you see they claim there are more millions playing PCH than plays lottery, but think about it, if PCH only pays out 2 million per year, Powerball pays out that much every 3 days, so they claim your odds at PCH is like winning money is 1 in 112,000,000. At least Powerball, it's 1 in a few million, and the prizes are extreme in the lottery compared to PCH, $10 $20 winners they post each day, and if you watch 90% of winners are from up east or California. I think they have offices both places and use employees' names and address, also go to FB when they show a winner's name in a certain town, you will never find anybody by that name and if you do they never post anything about winning anything playing PCH.

So take the word from someone who has took those PCH checks to Walmart and got them cashed, PCH is real.

I have been playing their games for years, winning tokens. I have "redeemed" millions of tokens for gift cards, but won nothing. They bombard me with e-mail every day. I have stopped reading through those that show an ad, followed by another ad from which you can get a $30 "mystery gift" free, and pay only the shipping for that "gift". I never want those mystery gifts. They are puzzle magazines, very small, and not worth more than a dollar a piece. I hate word search puzzles. In these ads, you are reminded of the mystery gift offer, which means you have to click "no" twice - once to place no order, and again to decline the lousy mystery gift.
This ad type also has a target game to find out what discount you can get for magazines. Followed by ads for skin care products, and then they want you to play a series of scratch-off games. If you read the ad through and stop at the scratch-offs, they send you an e-mail to say that you stopped too soon. This type of ad is very annoying! I have gotten into the habit of leaving the ad as soon as I see the mystery gift offer. I am really fed up with PCH. It is a huge waste of time.

I have been entering the sweeps and trying to buy things with tokens for 6 years and nothing. If you go to the small print Official Rules, it contradicts itself... First it says: A limit of one online entry per day is allowed per individual and per email address for each separate online promotion unless otherwise specified. Then in the next paragraph it says: You may submit as many entries as you would like for this promotional Giveaway.
So which is it? One entry per day or as many as you like? We could be throwing away all our tokens if we enter multiple times in a day, or not entering more times a day if we are allowed to. The program lets you enter as much as you want, so none of the instructions makes any sense. If you are truly only allowed to enter each giveaway once, then why does the program allow you to do more than that? They need to make their instructions clearer. We have to watch dozens of boring ads in order to win tokens, so the least they can do is be clear about entering their giveaways. This whole thing borders on fraud the way it is worded.

This is sort of a question about PCH but also a review... I've been on their website for a while and I had millions of tokens and decided, 'Might as well spend them on something'. So I literally wasted tons of tokens and entered for gift cards about 200 times each and I haven't won once... I'm seriously considering this is rigged. Am I right? Or am I wrong? I was wondering if anyone actually got anything from them... I do get the catalog though and mail from them and once they asked me for my security number and maybe it was someone else spamming me. But I really wish PCH was the real deal.

I happened to see a CD for the Drifters and the Platters with all of their greatest hits in PCH catalog pages so I ordered it. It arrived in a nice cover that says "The Drifters" on one side of the front cover and the "Platters" on the other side. I was all ready to send them a check when I decided to play one CD to make sure it was "really" them. When I opened the cover I saw 2 CDs that were blank except for the name of the group and a logo for "Direct Source" which apparently burns CDs for PCH. When I played it I knew immediately it WAS NOT the original group. Looking at the little window when the CD opens it said sung by Georges ** and Jimmy ** whoever they are!!
When I called to complain about this and spoke to "Mimi" she told me she would send another CD pack in 2 to 3 weeks. I told her that wouldn't do any good because it still wouldn't be the real singers and she said it would be. I refused to get another set sent and just advised I wouldn't be paying for this set. After her repeating that she would send another set and my refusals she told me I could give it to charity or keep it. No need to return it. If I get a bill to just disregard it. (You are my witnesses!)
So I asked her what her name was and she hesitated and said "Mimi." Then I asked her where she was located. She promptly asked me "is there anything else I can help you with?" I said, "Yes tell me where you are located". She would not answer the question. Next thing I heard was the original recording of PCH. Grrrr!! How can you work for a company that so clearly scams people and get mad at the people who are calling? I would love to know of anyone who actually won one of their contests. Beware of what you are ordering and don't send money until you know your purchase is exactly what you ordered and it works!

PCH is deceptive. You never win nothing but tokens. They send you tons of email everyday stating "Don't forfeit your prize of cash" whatever the amount is. So you have to click on it to enter. By then they are getting you to play all these games for cash but NONE of the games are cash prizes. ALL Of them are only tokens. Then you have to enter tokens for a chance to win a gift card. Variable gift cards with so many tokens you have to enter. You can enter all your tokens and never win. It is rigged.
You are also hit with tons of advertisement between each game. They want you to search and use ONLY their search engine every day. Each search gives you tokens but leads you to nothing on the search engine every time you click on something to have to keep searching. That alone they should be sued over! I actually did win a couple of games that was suppose to be a cash prize but it ended up giving me tokens. That is their way of making you think you have won. PCH has been around for years yet the gov has not shut them down. Something needs to be done about it. PCH can not keep deceiving people like this.
Now they have posted odds of winning because they were sued, etc. however their odds of winning are probably zero in all actuality. They also give you a Winner's List but there's no way to contact a winner even if they supposedly won $500. How do you know the Winner's List is not made up. There are all kind of ways that they are deceiving people by these games and by email and by the search engine alone. There have been many people to speak up about PCH. Supposedly PCH was recently sued. I am thinking about starting my own lawsuit against this place myself. It is not right for companies to be able to get away with this.

PCH E-mails are disruptive and annoying, every day and almost every minute of every day there is some form of e-mail sent stating "YOU MUST DO THIS!", "DO THIS NOW!", "Immediate attention required!" or "Immediate action needed now!" or YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED for "x" prize mentioned in the e-mail. And no matter how many times you click on the offending action they want you to do, you then have to go through so many hoops. It's just not worth it, you end up wasting nothing but time you could be using for other activities, like cleaning your house, going out to lunch or a movie with family or friends, going to a mall, anything, but wasting time on game that you will never win!
I can't recall the name of the current game they have where you click on a circle to launch a ball to win either a specific amount of tokens or possibly $10,000.00 cash. This game IS RIGGED and my experience with it was just that, the ball literally landed and stopped in the holder that shows I'd win $10,000.00 cash, but what happened next, the ball LITERALLY JUMPED out and landed in a lower level, offering me tokens. I think it was 250, maybe 500. But by all rights, I SHOULD HAVE WON that cash. Then on the football game, you pick a player. He kicks the ball and what happens, right as the ball is heading DIRECTLY between the goalposts, it looks like it has already gone between them, then it swerves and goes off to the left or right of the goalposts! Definitely rigged as far as I'm concerned.
I used to write software and I know that it's entirely possible to make a game "CHEAT" folks out of lives, extra's or anything else in a game. The coders of the games PCH.COM uses SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES for coding games in such a manner. As another stated, the race car and horse race game are 2 more examples of this, you will always come in 4th or 5th, never less than 4th place, yet, I picked a car and it crossed the finish line FIRST, then the game dropped that car back and it came in 4th.
I also ordered 2 items from PCH.COM, paid in full up front, I never got to make payments as they claim, combined my payment as one, 1 item has been shipped thus far, waiting for 2nd item to ship, paid twice for shipping, why can't PCH COMBINE shipments when they TAKE FULL PAYMENT and combine that with shipping so you only pay one small shipping fee instead of 2. Been tracking the package since it was shipped, 4 days later and the FedEx they used for shipping shows the package HAS NOT MOVED at all!
Makes me wonder if I'll ever see the two items I purchased, and they always force you into scrolling through everything, at least FIVE PAGES of product BEFORE you can get the SUBMIT ENTRY, and then they tend to hit you up with a special and you have to go through the same process of FIVE PAGES of PRODUCT again! You should be able to submit entry from PAGE 1 of this, since they always claim: {no purchase necessary to win!}. Another load of malarkey as far as I am concerned. You better off to buy things direct from the manufacturer, as I've actually and literally found the same products CHEAPER there and sometimes even with free shipping!
And that's another thing that gets me, they offer a FREE GIFT or free gifts but you have to ORDER something to get that/those free gift{s}! And then you have to pay SHIPPING on a supposed free gift{s}! What is up with that? If you're sending me something for free, then do it, don't charge for something that should be on their cost, not us, the consumers! My advice is set your e-mail up to put them into your JUNK folder and also BLOCK their e-mail address, then you'll NEVER see their arrogant and deceptive practices to fool you into playing their shenanigans ever again. These people ARE NOT WORTH THE TIME or YOUR MONEY!

I then asked for a refund of my $25.96. She said okay, it takes 24 to 48 hours for the cancellation to go through and it will take 2 to 3 weeks before I can be issued the refund. My advice is not to "ever" purchase a magazine subscription through Publishers Clearing House due to their obviously lousy inefficient processing of magazine subscriptions! Never anything else as a result of thousands of hours on the site. I will not order again after receiving two items of very inferior quality. One, a medical bracelet that caused my skin to blister and rupture. I have never had a reaction to metals before but this one had something very reactive in it! And a birdhouse that fell apart a few months after purchase. I tried to find the info on these two orders, but it has been long enough since they were placed that I could not find the numbers or receipts for them.
My main reason for writing this review is to comment on the awful practice they have of running endless pharmaceutical commercials back to back and over and over and over again. I am sure that the companies pay PCH mega bucks to run these ads for medications that they warn are addictive, but then, they run them many times over, and many of them last 2 minutes or more. They do after all have to have time to tell you everything that can go wrong if you take them! I have watched so many hours of these pusher commercials that I have sworn off ever buying anything from the companies they represent or PCH! No one should push drugs like that! But then you are apparently willing to overlook what is right when you are being paid so much to do so I guess.
At least give us the opportunity to skip listening to these pushers over and over again! And, yes, I do turn down the sound. I still get tired of watching these sleepy, or happy, slow motion actors over and over again when I know that the majority of the commercial is all the while droning on about what can go wrong if you take it! At the same time asking you to ask your doctor for it! Don't you make enough money without being in the pocket of pharmaceutical companies? SHAME ON YOU PCH!!!

Most of my family has played forever and believe me, we have a large family, you think someone would have at least won one of the hundred dollar prizes by now if this was legit. But it's a good way to waste an afternoon when it's not good weather to be outside or you're unable to do anything else, just for fun and no use of brain cells.
I doubt the legitimacy of the "winners list" but if you don't play you won't ever win if there is a real possibility. Hahahah. It's like any other game people choose to play to pass time, just something to do. If your hopes are up that you will be the big winner you are likely to be disappointed daily. But if you do it for fun with no expectations there are lot of different games to play to occupy you for hours.

I agree with the other consumer, I play every damn day and all I ever win is tokens. I also find it very hard to believe that out of at least 20 or scratch offs and other games that I play every day that I still haven't won a single cent, I mean even playing regular lottery games you can at least win a dollar or two. This never lets you win anything, and I don't believe them when they advertise that others have won, they must work for them!!!

I've used millions of tokens that I've gotten and have never won anything with PCH's token exchange program for prizes. I'd like to know if anyone has ever won anything using tokens. I find it odd that I can spend a million tokens on one prize yet have never won that prize or any of the other prizes. I wrote them about the situation and did not receive a response. Do they make up the names of winners on their website? (It's always a first name and last initial only.) Who checks these things? Is the token prize drawing a hoax with made-believe names?
Updated on 05/14/2018: I realize the odds are slim but more transparency would be nice. For example, it states that the prizes offered may be offered in other promotions. I would like to know where else the prize for an Amazon gift card is offered. How many different promotions? Just how bad are the odds for any given prize on the token exchange program. (I'm skeptical that anyone ever wins using tokens.)
I did win $10.00 from PCH a month or so ago. I'm not sure whether to cash it in or frame it. The prize never stated what contest I entered to win this windfall. I read somewhere that to win a big prize the odds are 1 in 2 billion. Are those the same odds to win an Amazon gift card using tokens? The rules need to be clearer on just how bad these odds are. That way the consumers know that playing these games is just for fun and people rarely win anything. This is not only true of the token games, it's true of the searches, scratch offs, lotto, slots, blackjack, instant wins, mail-in promotions, etc. What good are tokens when so few people (if anyone) win? Why not let consumers use tokens for discounts on your products? If you are not going to award prizes with the tokens, give them some other value so people don't feel like they are completely wasting their time -- which is exactly what is happening now.

If you have nothing better to do, then PCH is a good way to waste your time. I have played periodically for several years, but haven't ever won anything. The games and sweepstakes get too repetitious after awhile. Everything about PCH is clearly rigged, and your chances of even winning giveaways with your tokens just doesn't happen. I was once determined to win with over millions of tokens, but after attempting to redeem most of my tokens for certain giveaways and not getting a thing, I quickly realized that my time would be better spent going to the casino. Sure, it costs money, but your odds of winning are almost guaranteed to happen compared to PCH's odds.

I ordered a solar lighthouse by mail from a PCH flyer that I received by mail. The flyer stated that I could purchase it for four payments of $4.99 each. When I received my bill, almost $8 had been added for shipping and handling, which was mentioned nowhere in the flyer. It was a bait and switch. I notified PCH by email of their error. They said that I ordered it online, which I didn't, and the S&H was disclosed online. It was an outright lie. They finally made a correction "for this one time only" as if I was mistaken, which I wasn't. PCH obviously scams clients into paying more for an advertised product. I feel that many clients are taken advantage of, especially the elderly.

Regarding everyone whom complained about the instant wins, you're correct, the games are rigged. Read the rules to the games, instant win, scratch offs, etc. Even though the games are called "Instant" "Wins" there is nothing instant nor winnable about them. Only on certain dates and a split second on those days does PCH allows a win. Scratch offs for example. It's April yet the scratch off rules states no one playing the scratch offs will win a money prize until June when the timer lets the system know to let one person win that day. That means until then no one will win anything except tokens and only for a split second on the winning dates. These games are not set by chance as the law requires. PCH should get rid of these games or change the names seeing as it's false advertising and illegal.

Sunk them all into a few one of the gift certificates I wanted to win and got nothing. I never won a thing on any of the games. And once it landed on money and instead it gave me tokens. Really this company makes you sick of it and after 3 months of playing with no incentive, I quit. Not worth it to a productive human being with a family.

Recently ordered an item from PCH and anxiously looked forward to it. When I checked out they informed me that a "FREE" item was added to this order. Great! I actually "won" something--right? Wrong. The shipping and handling was enormous. When the items arrived the free cutlery was cheaply and dangerously "Made In China" and was not worth the almost $10.00 I paid to receive it! My entire bill came to $32.96 and the website said "Billable in Four (4) Easy Payments." I went on the website and guess what? There is NO OPTION online to pay in installments. So, I wrote PCH to ask why/how? I was advised by the CSR "You can't do installments online. You have to call in to do that." I've called to make my payments and now I only have one left to finish off.
Here's the rub: Even after I made payment by phone with the CSR I received an email with big block letters "We hope you're enjoying your PCS products. Please PAY YOUR BILL NOW!" What the what? This was a few days [after] I'd already paid and the money taken out of my account. I said all that to say I will never enter another PCH contest. I will never buy another product from them. Most of the stuff they offer can be purchased from other vendors--online as well as offline. They overcharge for the products and they sting the consumer with ridiculous shipping and handling fees. The "FREE" products they toss in are junk.
I will no longer accept emails or snail mail from them. Instead? Find their products in "As Seen on TV" displays where you shop regularly. The other options are second-hand stores and dollar stores. Do your due diligence and stop allowing them to bait and switch you. Note: Their magazine offers are a trick bag. The fine print tells the customer that after the initial "low rate" period the price for the magazines will go up to the regular price "using the method of payment of record." In other words--the customer is going to be billed much more than what was originally advertised by PCH. Never again, folks. Not under any circumstance will I do business with this company.

I ordered two merchandise items and I am paying the bill this week but it will be THE LAST time I ever order from them! I recently had to file a complaint with my state attorney general because I played PCH slot tournament last Saturday and they ripped me off big time!!! It clearly said in the pay table that if you got three, four, or five instant winner symbols you win tokens and $750.
Well this is not the case. I sent them a screenshot and well let me tell you they said, "Oh we are sorry for the mixup. You did not win money. You only won tokens!" What a crock!! That is scamming at its finest and a true example of the bait and switch! I called to complain to them and when I told them they were reported to the NY State Attorney General they hung up on me! Well if you cannot handle the truth then oh well.
A few years ago, NY State along with several other states in the US and I think Canada got involved too, sued PCH for their dishonest business practices!!! I have contacted the attorney general with the complaint and also have e-mailed them all the e-mails PCH has sent me trying to get me to come back. Well that is harassment!!! So all I have to say is PCH is fake as are the winners! It's a scam and a lie!!! Don't even waste your money or time with them!!! You DO have to buy something in order to enter! That is very dishonest! Also when I called to complain they said people win the money at set times on the slots. That is VERY VERY VERY dishonest and that is also a form of cheating! Updated on 3/11/2018: This is an update of a previous review. My first review was a complaint about high/unstated shipping charges and slow shipping. The Red Copper Pan has finally arrived and the original factory plastic cover had been removed and just thrown in with the pan. Also the pan had scratches on the bottom like it had been dropped and it and the packaging were covered with dust. Also I made the mistake of thinking that this was a induction ready pan because of the high price and the fact that most of these "copper" type pans are made for induction.
The offer said it was a $29.99 value "on sale for $24.99" and later they billed me for over $5.00 for shipping. I can go down the street to my big box store and get a non-induction pan for under $20.00. I have switched all of my stovetop cooking to induction only and should have checked for the induction ready label before ordering, so that was my fault, but I paid about $31.00 for a $20.00 pan. Don't trust them because of the fancy hyped offers that you are getting a good deal from PCH. It would cost me $14.00 in postage to send it back, so I will give it to another family member.

I have had all of the experiences listed by the other reviewers before me. The PCH people "talk out of both sides of their mouths!" They try to play with our heads with a statement; however, inside that statement will be a word/s that limit/change the statement. In tiny almost unreadable text, they assure us that it is not necessary to purchase anything; however, they continually insult us with very large text reminding us that our "cart is empty," [as though we are too stupid to know it], and they do not allow us to proceed to "enter" until they have forced us to go through the lists of products several times.
In fact, the first time "enter" is presented, it is quickly removed before it can be clicked and we must go through the products again and again. Even if a purchase is made, they will require that we go through the publications---and saying that "the cart is empty" even though it has been filled! There is no end to the ways that PCH practices its trickery.
They also used the gimmick of claiming that I had never paid for some long-ago purchases. [I noticed that another reviewer had experienced this also.] Lie! I checked my account each time---nothing owed. When I would place an order it would be canceled using this claim. I checked every time. Eventually, they shipped all of these items, without prior notice---all at one time, but separately, a small fortune in shipping charges. The items and shipping came to several hundred dollars, which made life rather difficult [I'm 86].
I also agree that the stuff is over-priced, falls apart, poor workmanship, not as presented, dead on arrival; and the freebies turn out to be stuff they can't sell so they make up the money by high shipping charges. I have received emails telling me to play the games all day! With their emails, they try to lead us to believe that we are the most likely person to win the sweepstakes in our area. Everything is all ready for the go-ahead signal. And suggested that we buy a new dress for the occasion [the TV people will be there to take pictures of the occasion]. LOL I didn't!
I do not know if there is a connection but, I never received very many spam emails---just one or two here and there---until this past year, after PCH purchases and games---but then I started receiving many, at least 100 every day. In the end, since PCH's method of doing business is not acceptable to me, I decided not to order anything else from them. That's it, done, finished! I have not included an order number as this review would include many. This encompasses my overall experience with PCH.

I love playing these games, but with all the freezing, it's impossible to win anything. Solitaire games: We have 3 minutes to play. I'd be willing to bet that 2 of those minutes are spent waiting while the game is frozen. When you click on cards to put them up, they end up all over the board and you can't see the cards underneath; you completely lose track of what you're doing... more time wasted trying to figure out what card is on top, and what card goes next.
Keno: Again, with the freezing and the amount and time of the ads, it's impossible to complete 5 cards. The most I've ever gotten was 3. Scratch Offs and Instant Wins: Does anyone EVER win the money advertised as a prize? I feel like I'm playing all day for nothing but tokens. I don't mind losing if I'm losing in a fair manner. I feel that PCH is cheating us out of any possibility of winning. I understand the games are free, but when you're advertising big payouts for winning, then there should be a fair chance of winning, and there isn't. Please fix all these glitches so the games are a little more fair OR stop falsely advertising the possibility of winning actual money.

People who need money the most are the ones who get sucked in that’s why WE keep falling for it. The wheel spinning and Et games are just another addition to get started. When PCH robs you with your earned tokens, what else will they cheat you out of??? I accumulate about 1.2 to 1.4 million tokens a day normally. As I accumulate tokens I keep track of them, at the end of a section I check what they show I have accumulated. OOPS what they show is way out of what it should be. So I have started everything I accumulated at the end of each game and write it down and total with the previous. I then check what they show what my total is. Result - sometimes they add part of it, a few times they show all of it and frequently they show none of it. Tracking the totals over that last 4 days I find they have robbed me of about 100,000 tokens a day. IF THEY WILL ROB YOU OF TOKENS, what else WILL THEY CHEAT YOU OUT OF. I too played and played (no I didn't win either and that part's okay) but realized I JUST DON'T WANT TO ANYMORE. I didn't really expect to win anything and I am cool with that.
But at this point PCH has taken away my right to say no. It is a CRIME by ANY means of the law AND moral society that when someone says NO... It means NO. Don't bother with customer service because you will get NOWHERE with them. They are trained assassins who show no mercy or understanding. PCH you are a violator of the worst kind. You don't have to believe me but I'm telling you that you're all PCH prostitutes. I was one too. PCH pimped us all. Some research and a little common sense will prove this... Be clear, PCH is the pimp and you're the hooker. How so, you may wonder? Well it's like this. As I'm sure you know in present day internet age the way to make money is through ads. Lots and lots of ads. Popular YouTube "celebs" with hundreds of thousands of subscribers make tons of money that way. Popular bloggers, affiliates program members, Etc, all make money this way. PCH is no exception.
You do ALL the work, PCH collects ALL THE MONEY. Sure, it may be cents per ad, but look at the sheer volume of ads you must rummage and wait for PER GAME! Now figure in millions of people "playing" and add in the CONSTANT DAILY EFFORTS and voila, PCH is making millions of dollars off of you. Why in the world do you think they encourage you, no wait, BEG YOU to keep going and going and going and going? Same thing with their search engine. Why do you think when you "search" it already has preset things you can search for? It's because they hope and expect you not to do an actual authentic search, but instead select one of their preset search options for "recipes" etc. This all leads to them making money off you.
It's sort of like being an unofficial undocumented employee who never ever gets paid for their services. No wait. It's like I originally said. We're the hookers and PCH is the pimp. We do all the work that is cleverly disguised as "games" while they collect all that money from our efforts aka "game playing." But we all know those aren't actually "games", right? The Pinata game where you swing a bat? Lmao. Cmon. They have built in software that knows when you're slacking and not playing as much. This is when the software starts emailing you x10 tokens or "bonus" entries blah blah blah. The software is scripted to send you more enticing "opportunities."
The software also knows to send you an email that basically says "We're sorry but you could have one. Too bad you didn't respond to us on time" if you go weeks without responding. That's just another enticing method to manipulate you to keep making them more money from those ads. And the more tokens and "VIP status" you get, the longer the pages get that you have to click "continue" as you rummage through the pages upon pages of merchandise that they beg and plead and insist on you buying. In fact, PCH feels so entitled to a purchase from you because they're "nice enough to let you play their games" that they actually think they have a right to "understand" why you're not buying anything from them.
"We see you have a zero purchase history with us and quite frankly we don't understand why?" Lmao! The NERVE! Can you imagine being at the shopping mall sitting on a bench and some employee walks out from the store from which they work and says "We see you have been walking around this mall all day but have not entered my store to make a purchase and quite frankly I don't understand why!" CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT? LOL! Well, PCH, it's none of your business as to WHY I haven't made a purchase but considering your business practices coupled with the plethora of complaints about it, I'd say you can start there! How bout that? Lol.
OH! And before I forget, this part is very important too. You know after PCH was sued by almost all 50 States and have been sued REPEATEDLY over the years for their deceptive practices, they have to include a small notice that says "making a purchase will not increase your chances of winning." Well horsepucky! Here's what they do. The firm they hired to design the software they used is scripted to automatically WEED OUT entries WITHOUT a purchase history but you'll never ever know so that you'll just keep playing and playing! Why would they tell you that when it would hurt them financially? The software disqualifies persons who do not spend sums of money with PCH and the software does it in a manner so that it look like a legit dump of numbers since only one can win. This is done so that they meet inspection necessities.
And have you read every nook and cranny of their TOS (Terms of Service)? If not, I suggest that you do! Focus heavily on the parts that speak on being DISQUALIFIED and also focus on the PAYOUTS and how the payouts work for LARGE SUM WINNERS! It's not exactly a "wealthy windfall" like they suggest considering they pay you over the course of 30 years for, let's say, a 750,000 or million dollar prize. You get $25,000 each year for 29 years and then $250,000 on your 30th year lol.
Again, that's not exactly what I'd consider a "jackpot." And don't get me wrong, it's a great addition to the money you already have if you win, but then CALL IT THAT! Don't doctor it up to be something else. That's sneaky and deceptive. Now I'm not saying it's like that for every prize, but I know it's like that for quite a lot. It's in the fine print. That's roughly, what, $12.00 an hour pay? Just call an Spade a Spade, PCH! That's all people want. Honesty! But deceptive is what works in ALL big business. Sad.
Another thing PCH is notoriously for is issuing substantially smaller prizes to persons who strictly only entered the huge sweepstakes. So how does PCH come up with issuing someone $5,000 or $10,000 when that person only entered the million dollar ones? Yes, there are winners! People win! I mean you have a higher chance of getting struck by lightning TWICE in your life, or getting struck by lightning once while drowning than you do ever winning a big prize from PCH, but people do actually win. But I don't know the answer to how PCH decides on a much smaller prize for persons who avoided those entries and only went for the big ones.
No, I wouldn't "be grateful" for winning $10,000 if I only was entering for the million dollar ones. It's my time and how I chose to spend it and if I'm letting PCH pimp the living ** out of me for years and years and I'm one of their top $$ earners (bottom **) and I'm under the impression that I'm entering a specific sweepstakes then damn it that's what I should be winning IF they select me as the winner! It's no different than ordering a cheeseburger and being given a BLT because that's what the chef wants you to eat! NO! That's not how it works.
Let me put it this way, if all PCH "offered" was $10,000 sweepstakes, NOBODY would torture themselves and spend the hours each day practically losing their minds from those ads and how PCH begs you to "hurry up and buy" from them just for the CHANCE to win $10,0000 because a very high portion of those who enter would NOT feel its worth for $10,0000! Hell, countless people give up and feel it's not worth it when the jackpots are HUGE so that's all I'm saying is it should be for what you entered! If I entered a sweepstakes for $50,000 then how on earth did I only win $10,000? How do they rationalize this? I don't have the answer to that one because that's a whole different department who handles that.
Honesty. Accountability. No deception. That's all people want and PCH does not and is not going to give it to them. Well, except for the deception. The "congrats you won" then followed up with an apology letter by PCH and offering more tokens as an "apology" that they do to thousands of people. Also, be prepared when entering PCH contests for whatever device you're using to grossly slow down DRAMATICALLY!!! I mean to the point where it crawls!
And no no no PCH cannot blame everyone's device because this was tested on Sept 2nd, 2017 by myself and several friends and all four of us used our laptops, desktops, and phones and each one of our devices lagged so bad and were sooo slow and we checked WHY lol! My lord the stuff that our devices racked up! The malicious software that creeps into your device from their apps and website is obscene. You know what else is obscene? The amount of pages you have to go through just to enter. The amount of ads you have to go through just for one teeny completion. I understand a few ads here and there, but PCH's greed knows no bounds! It's obscene and disgusting.
Are there winners? BIG winners? Yes, there are winners. That part is true. Does PCH "owe" you a winning? No. Do they owe you the truth about the services you're providing to them so they can get richer and one day cough up the big prize money? Yes. Nobody can be that gullible to actually think they're "playing games" and that those games "are fun." The same repetitive whack "games" each time. The only game that comes close to "being fun" is MahJong. And of course you aren't gonna win big there.
They made millions of dollars long before the internet and they still make millions of dollars off people from selling merchandise and mags. And if you're really interested in learning how they make extra money, just read the endless people who seem to all share the same complaint and it's how vicious, predatory and dishonest PCH is when it comes to collecting payment from people. It really is quite vile. Even as it stands right now PCH is STILL teetering on breaking the rules and guidelines of more predatory and dishonest practices now in 2017. I'm not sure I believe they donate as much to charities as they claim though. Probably some tax configuration situation. But whatever.
Personally, I don't play anymore. But someone I care about does and I'm using their computer right now and judging from the lag of it I'd say they play a whole lot! It never ever used to be slow like this. My god. Unbelievable. But if you feel that it's worth all that time you spend entering and watching ads and making PCH gobs of money for an extreme teeny tiny itsy bitsy microscopic chance of winning ANYTHING from PCH, not just the big stuff, but ANYTHING worthwhile, then hey, put your stiletto's on (men too), hit that corner, and let the pimping commence! Make them their money! Now get to work!
