We love Life Line Screening. We’ve been doing it for maybe 20 years and we’ve told all our friends and family, so we all go. Our children have it done and then, they tell everybody. The techs are always wonderful, very polite and thorough. The results are excellent. They found my husband’s carotid problem. Then, we went to NYU in New York and we saw the top man there. Once he did the same tests that Lifeline did, they came out identical.

Life Line Screening detected a total blockage of one of my husband's carotid arteries. We made an appointment right away with the vascular surgeon, who then told us that it wasn't life-threatening at this point and sent us on our way, which was good. But it gave us a baseline. My husband is now in touch with a vascular surgeon on a regular basis because of that. I'm very glad that we had the Life Line.
The staff was very helpful. But it was messed up because with the pandemic and the situation last fall, and they were getting super booked up. And then, they had staff shortages. I said, “You have to get me this appointment. ‘Cause we're going to Florida.” The lady I talked to went out of her way to make sure she got us that that day that we wanted. Because they called us and they were going to cancel because one of their people hadn’t shown up. Other than that, I would recommend Life Line to other people because it does check certain things. We see our doctor every six months all the time, and she's on top of everything normally. But the Life Line was a little extra thing that she would have missed it. So, it worked out.

My husband had a stroke. I wanted to make sure I was healthy. I got checked out and Life Line did a very thorough job. They checked all the major arteries and the process was painless. We went from station to station and there was no waiting. Every place we went to had a different technician and they were very polite. They explained what they were going to do and did it. The results were right on. All my veins are clear.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We're glad you had a positive experience at our screening!

I tried to do a screening once a year because it lets me know if I'm getting clogged again. I had open heart surgery already. This is the second year in a row I've done the screening to check my veins. Everything was good.

I went through the Life Line Screening and I got the solutions back. They did a professional job. The first time I used it was 10 years ago and at one time, they saved my life because they caught a problem I had no idea I had. And so, I'm a firm believer in it. They keep sending me stuff but I just had it done. They keep saying that we should do it again but it just puts me on the list, so it’s okay. Every other year or so, I follow up with a backup. I’ve been blessed with good health but to get the base, I kept it up. I see a heart doctor every year and he would tell me not to waste my money. I told him that he spends 5 minutes with me and Life Line at least spends 10. It’s worth the money.

I saw a screening with Life Line that I didn’t get from my regular doctor. Artery clogging in the neck was something that we weren't following through with the doctors and we weren’t running any kind of tests that would check it so it would be worth it to see if there was any going on. The only thing is that the few locations that I've gone to are all temporary ones.
There are enough space to put chairs and the beds or whatever to lie down on to do the testing on. But I'm not used to that from when I go to see my regular doctor. It wasn't comfort so much as the whole idea of fly-by-night. They move into this and then take your money and go away. There's no permanence in the location or the people that I could go back to, for example, and say that I was here two weeks ago and this is what the result was and to explain it. It was too mobile. But it wasn't uncomfortable. The only thing is that it might have been a little bit cooler than I would have preferred, but that's not a big deal.
For Life Line to do this, one thing that would make it more permanent-seeming would be like what I've seen done with blood pressure. They'll have a mobile blood pressure trailer set up. You go in. lie down on one of the beds that’s there, they do their thing and then, you go out the other end. It's still mobile but it's more permanent-seeming because money was spent to buy the vehicle and to outfit the vehicle with the equipment than to just move in, unload the stuff in the empty room, set it up, and then pack it all up and drive away the next day.

The people from Life Line Screening were all very nice. They sent me information that I needed to know for my appointment. They explained it very well. I was right in and right out, and I did not have to wait. They did a very good job of getting people in and out.

Life Line Screening looked at something with my stomach and I didn’t like that it was a bunch of us in one room. The techs told me to lie on the table and pull my shirt up, and there were two other people in the room. I didn't care for that. A little modicum of privacy would have been nice.

I got the screening done, so dealing with the tech was okay. But Life Line could have given a little bit more information when they started the screening and as they were doing the procedures.

I was having some symptoms of tiredness, et cetera, and I asked my cardiologist nurse about Life Line. She said that they were all certified people and it wouldn't hurt to try them. I was thinking of doing it anyway but she prompted me to do it. At the test site, the lady who did the scan said that it didn't look anything serious. However, when the report came back, it was pretty serious. There were about five screenings altogether. So I got treatment from the cardiologist surgeon and everything was fine. It has improved my life tremendously. So the screening is a good early warning.

Life Line's the only one I've ever gone with. It didn't take me too long to get my screening. They sent me a letter, about five screenings, and I just decided to get those done. The technicians just told me what they were supposed to do and got it over with.

I went to appear to a test because I was concerned and I wanted to know if I had cancer of any kind. They gave a test if I was breathing right, or if my heart was okay, and all that. I passed it with a push. The technicians were super nice too.

I'm about 130 miles away from my primary care physician and other physicians that I see. With COVID, I didn't want to travel that was why I did the screenings. The technicians were friendly. But in comparison to where I get my medical services, they were very young and I didn’t think they had much experience. I didn't feel the outcomes of those were as precise as I would have found. But it was all right for what we were experiencing at the time with COVID. They also had a difficult time on finding a thing. They wanted me to call the doctors right away and were sort of alarmists when there was no need to be.

Life Line Screening is great because they can cover a lot of things and they might pick up something during your screening that the doctor or somebody else might miss. The technicians are so courteous and nice. They try to make us as comfortable as possible. If you were just sitting there doing something, they would talk to you and try to keep you calm. We've had several screenings of this type and in various locations. Whenever they send us out an application for the next screening, we'll probably sign up for it and go for that one too.

They were all professionals and were great. They have a good setup. They send the report in and they give you a report back in. The first time, I knew that when they started running the sensor machine up and down my neck a few times that something must have been plugged. I had a talk with a doctor prior to that and he said, “No, you’re fine.” When I took the report in, he said, “We better get to see a neurologist,” and I had the surgery. So, that was one thing that was good. I was very satisfied with Life Line.

Everything was good with Life Line. It was a good deal. Their techs were also all nice. They did a good job, explained to me what they were gonna do and how they were gonna do it therein. I was happy with it. It may have saved my life by going and doing that, 'cause I had a couple of stents put in back in 2003 and it showed that I've got a little buildup in one of my arteries.

My experience with Life Line was good. However, I was upset that I couldn't get the bone density test. I thought I could get it done there with all the others, so I’d have everything done. But they said since I had my knees replaced, they couldn't do it. They sent me my $20 back. My husband and I also did the preventative screenings up in Wisconsin. They told him he had an aneurysm. So, we should see a doctor. We went to the doctor and they did the testing. They said, “No, there's nothing there. You don't have anything.” Four years later, it ruptured and we almost lost him. I don't know what we could have done. But looking back at it, Life Line Screening was right, we could have saved a lot of grief. He lived, but at first, they didn’t know if he was going to or not. But he made it. But it was awful. I really believe in Life Line because of what happened. I know some people don't and they would say, “You're wasting your money.” But I am not wasting my money.

I had the Lifeline screenings done in 2017 and they sent me back the results. It said that I had a build-up in the arteries. I ignored it. Then, I had a stroke a year and a half later. Since I had the stroke, I had to go for the vascular study every six months. Lifeline is great. For the cost, you get plenty of screenings. It's about as good of a low-cost screening as you're going to get.

Here are the problems I have encountered with this company. First one is that you are required to prepay for their services that may or may not take place and there is no refund if you change your mind. You are entrusting people with your health and potentially your life to do the tests correctly and with care. Since these tests are prepaid there is no incentive for those doing the tests to do a good job and to treat you like your life is important to them for the length of time you're in there care. With that being said, I prepaid $383.00. My appt was the first one of the day. I got to my appointment 15 minutes early in case they needed to check me in prior to my scheduled appointment. The building they were using to perform these health screenings was a broken down dirty old church gymnasium in one of the worst areas of Orlando considered as "the hood".
I walked up to the door with my mask on and I gave a customary cordial greeting and rather than being greeted with a reciprocated friendly 'hi', 'hello' or "welcome to lifeline" what I got were hostile people barking orders at me to get back in my car because it wasn't 9am yet! I felt like I had entered a prison facility rather than a church building. It definitely was not how I wanted or expected a professional interaction with supposed "health care workers" to start off. So I got back in my car and decided not to do the screenings. I called the customer service line and spoke with Shirley who was by far the friendliest and most helpful. She encouraged me to try another location. Too bad Shirley couldn't have been at the screening. I'm sure if she had, things would have been different. Thank you Shirley!

I do the Life Line Screening every time they come to town because I have issues with genetics for my heart, cholesterol, and bone density. So I take advantage of their kindness, and the price is so good. We don't get very much as far as being a widow. So they let me have these important tests that could save my life. So God bless them. They’re always so kind and sweet. They’re really good people. As soon as I get the results in the mail, I get an appointment with my doctor. He looks it over, and he tells me if we need to do some things. The last time, my body was not making vitamin B12 anymore. So because of Life Line's test, my doctor put me on a vitamin, and I feel better.

I received a brochure and had an appointment about 30 days later with my cardiologist. I called the cardiologist and said, “this is what this program does and price looks good. Would this be valuable information for our upcoming session?” he said, "It can't hurt as the more information we have, the better. Sure, proceed." that's what prompted me to go ahead with Life Line Screening. It turned out, it had to be delayed and delayed because of COVID, but we got it pulled together. I had five tests done, and it took less than a half hour. It was a very quick, simple and professional experience. It was very positive for me.
On a level of 1 to 5, the quality of the results is 3 to 4 because it prompted additional tests from specialists. One of the tests led to a follow-up with a doctor that studies veins. While I'm okay, my carotid artery is partially blocked and needs to be watched. I'm following up with the carotid artery issue and having the testing done again at a hospital with the specialist in a few more months. Had I not started with Life Line Screening, I don't know if I've ever tested for that. I'm glad I did it, and I would recommend it to others.

We're not going back to Life Line Screening because it costs money and we're on Medicare Advantage. Our policies cover all that through our physician. I don't believe Life Line is worth the cost. The doctors really don't accept it. They'll order the same test again even though I give them the Life Line Screening stuff. When my wife and I go, it's $600. With Medicare Advantage, we hardly ever pay $10 for a doctor's visit, and I can't remember spending hardly anything, even when we go to emergency room. It's all kind of covered. I used to have five jobs after I retired from my main job. I'm over 89 and I only have one job. So, I can't afford it. $500 is a lot of money.
We went with Life Line due to the convenience and they used to be a little cheaper, too. I might have started way back when I was fairly healthy, and the doctor wasn't ordering any of those tests, especially the one about the carotid artery, the sonogram on your carotid, and then your aorta, your stomach. The doctor usually would take your blood pressure down at your ankles. With Life Line, it seemed like at one shot, you could get it all done, and it did cost a little money. It was a few hundred dollars. So, my wife and I did that for several years. Then we would take the results to our physicians, and if they thought there was a problem, they would order the test again. But now that I'm over 80 and things are showing up, our physicians say, “Oops, Life Line Screening says this and this. We better order you another test.”
The technicians and Life Line personnel were always nice. In fact, they were kind of friendly. This last time, the clerk that took us in and took all our information, we kind of became friends because they didn't have a whole lot of people coming through. For people who don't have insurance, I’d recommend them going through Life Line. I'm not dissatisfied with them, but their prices have increased over the last 10 years.

They made me more aware of what I have to focus on and any issues that I have to talk to the doctor about. They put some fears to rest. My biggest issue is being able to get in to see the doctor during this time of COVID. But overall, going through Life Line is a good idea. The price is very reasonable. I'm waiting to get the final bill from Life Line Screening because I've talked to two representatives before, and one of them said she would send me a bill, which she never did. But then, I got another thing telling me that they were gonna charge my credit card again. I've been in the program for about three years. I've been tested three times and the first two times were okay. The pandemic has changed a lot. They had to change the locations. The last change was the night before. So, that was kind of disconcerting. I did not like the place. I'm in a fairly small town. The place that it ended up being was at a VFW and it's very smoky. When I went in, the girl who reaches out to you and takes your information said something about my four tests, and I thought I was gonna have five.
Now, I may have discussed that when I talked to the representative that called me before. But I was thinking I was getting five. She said, “Well you can pay and get the other one.” I said, “Well, no.” Then she said, “Well, it’s only $10.” I said, “Look, I think I've already paid for it.” When I've gone back and looked at things now, I realize that Life Line makes a decision whether or not we need the test with our age and whatever had happened on the test before.
I went over to do the bloodwork and I paid for that. I'm not on monthly billing. I was paying it once a year. I did the bloodwork during the pandemic, August 1st. I'm not really spooked about that but I do think, in a medical setting, all the protocols should be followed. I was wearing a mask, and the two techs that were there were wearing a mask. They were drawing blood and doing your height and weight. They had one of those plastic folding tables, and they had it set up where I was sat on one side. They're 30 inches wide. I've worked with a lot of those tables at groups. Rather than having us at each end of a 6-foot table, we were on either side, right by each other, on a 30-foot table. I thought that was wrong.
I didn't think any protocols were really followed much there. I went back to sit where I sat. Then, the guys that are behind the screens that are gonna test everything else, when they picked up the file, she said there were two files there. He looked at it and he said, “You want me to throw one away?” She said, “Yes.” When I said that, she said, “Well, you're gonna get your five tests.” So, we went over there and did that. I've had the PAD test several times. But it was excruciating pain. That might have been something with my body that day, but I told them. I just didn't feel right about it because it was so painful. I was crying out during part of it. It's kinda like if you’ve ever had blood pressure taken, and when that can be really bad and they'll redo it. They'll loosen it or something like an adjustment. It was the two ankles that really hurt.
I don't wanna be involved with Life Line anymore. I didn't like the girl at the receptionist’s desk. I didn't like the protocols. I didn't like the location of the place. I thought it was too smoky. I've been to that place in the last two years for a memorial service. I thought the same thing. I don't think that place would have mattered as much if the issues didn't all pile on together.
There's not a whole lot of providers like Life Line. One of the reasons I did it is because they do some screenings that doctors don't normally do for some people. I'm 73. I've got a lot of family history. I'm really in pretty good health. I'm still working. Life Line does some tests that I can select that my doctor doesn't do. One of them was D3. When I started this, I've had a doctor that I've changed since then. But I know someone recently just died from aortic aneurysm. Doctors do not test women for heart problems the same way they do men. A lot of women I know think that most of us were married to somebody that just done that. My dad died with heart problems at 45. So, it's something I think about. But that was why I did that. No one had ever tested my carotid. My husband, over the last 15 years, he’s had all those tests.
Anyway, they showed that that needed to be looked at. I did go to my doctor, and he did test it. But he wasn’t the one that found it. Life Line did. There are some good things about it. But I don't want sassy people. I don't want people that don't do protocols. I don't want people that hurt me. I don't want a bad location. So, it just added up.
Then, I did a bad review online. I also called and the woman I talked to was a little bit argumentative. I'm a professor, so I get graded on everything I do. I understand working with public, and their expectations may not be realistic but there was a whole combination of that. When I talked to that first woman, she said, “Well, you really owe, with that $10, $49.” I already asked her to take it away. I didn't want my credit card to be automatically charged. She said, “Well, we don't have that anymore.” I said, “Well, bill me.” She never did. So then, I called back a couple weeks ago, and they said they didn't see anything. I said, “I wanna pay for it. I want it over with. I don't want it to show up sometime in the future that I owe Life Line.” So, there's no consistency.

We saw the opportunity to do some tests that aren't offered on a regular basis by our doctor. We registered with Life Line and each of us was taken to a cubicle and they began the tests from one station to the next. The techs were very professional and pleasant. They answered questions if they had any. The process went fairly quickly. My husband was in one of the screenings longer than I was and when I questioned why it was taking so long, the techs didn't say anything. I just figured that they were looking a little deeper and taking more pictures to make sure they weren't seeing something that they weren't seeing. I was happy to have the preliminary information on the spot and the detailed results of the tests came within seven to 10 days. I was pleased with the promptness.

I used to do Lifesigns and have been doing it for years. My sister did Life Line and she encouraged me so I wanted to try it. The process was a little complicated in the beginning because of COVID. You had to sit in the car and wait. After you come in, you sit in a chair in the hallway. It was a little unprofessional when it came down to the health part.
The process was a little different than what I was accustomed to. Lifesigns was better because of the facility and the rigorous schedule that they had, how you went from one thing to another to another quickly. They seemed to be really thorough. But with Life Line, the screening went fast. I didn't think it was as thorough as it could have been. They don't give you any information afterwards. With Lifesigns, they take you to a room and discuss any immediate thing that they see that will caution you and cause you to wanna go on and get with your primary care physician. That's one thing that Lifesigns does that I really like. It's kind of an immediate thing.
Kathleen, thanks so much for your feedback and trusting us as your preventative health partner. We greatly apologize that the process wasn't smoother on the day you screened. I've had screening done one other time. It's been about 10 years and we're getting ready to change doctors. I figured this was the cheaper way of doing it than having the test run at the hospital and things. Life Line Screening tells me if I have the start of heart disease, which my dad had, so I'm trying to just keep up on my own health. The Life Line Screening technicians explained everything they were doing, and they were very conscious of COVID stuff.
They've done a good job. I plan to go back in another few years. I won't go there unless I start having problems, but I will continue to go back to it if they offer it here in town. For the price, I don't think you can go anywhere else and get the results that you get. If you go to the hospital and have all those tests done, you'll be in the thousands. The screening gives you a peace of mind. It's a good thing to do.

Life Line was giving comprehensive screenings at a price a fraction of the corporation. My doctor recommended it some 12 years ago. Their screening techs are a bit business and a bit impersonal. Other than that, they were professional. Very often, English is not their first language. They're from different cultures, and people who are from different cultures often don't mesh as well as someone from your group. But I'm pretty happy with them. During COVID, it's pretty efficient. It's quick,. There weren't many people.

I tend to do preventative screenings and Life Line was readily available. I've been to many of their screening tests so I've had several people screen me for a variety of my tests. I did all the tests that they have to offer. Quality-wise, the results were good. Having worked with them, I'm more knowledgeable about my test than before.
But I'm not satisfied with the people working there. They are and act like I'm in their way. It's like, "Hurry up. Get him done. Next." You make an appointment and you go where you're supposed to go. But it's never on time nor is it well-organized. If my appointment was at 11:30, sometimes I don't get in until another half hour or so. The people that are doing the test don't really care about your health and are just there for a paycheck. They don't care about you being there or what test you take. Most of all, they're not even friendly.

They explained what they were doing and they were very professional. The quality of the results was great. I did not tell my doctor that I did the screening so that when I had my physical, I could compare. It was two months later that I could compare the results and they were right on. It's just that the ones that Life Line had were cheaper and I got a lot more tests.
The techs were really good, too. One girl was working really hard trying to get things done fast. Then the supervisor was scolding her a little bit for being slow. So she wasn't able to be as friendly as she clearly wanted to be because she was being pushed to hurry. Also, it's strange that they allowed walk-ins which made our appointments fall behind. If we have an appointment, there's a reason why we have an appointment. We had a group of walk-ins and it made us a little late. I had used these services in the past. I scheduled an appointment for 3/25/2020, and when the virus concerns began to grow, I attempted to cancel the appointment 4 days prior. I tried calling, and and could not reach a soul, and I replied to a confirmation email and got no response. I showed up to the location 15 minutes early on the scheduled day, and there was a sign stating the testing had been suspended due to the virus. This company had my cell # to text a confirmation, but did not provide the courtesy to notify me it had been cancelled. They did not call or send an email. So, this morning I called to request a refund. The refused, stating they would only issue a gift certificate for future screening. I explained I will not use them in the future, and they refused to issue a refund to my credit card. VERY POOR SERVICE!

Beware of this company. My experience with Lifeline Screening was a horrible, frustrating sickening one. They set me up with their "Gold VIP" plan and quoted me $119 for the screening. They asked me if I also wanted to include kidney and liver screening and I said yes. They didn't inform me that that would cost another $100 so, when I got the bill (prior to my screening appointment), I called them and they took the liver and kidney screening off. When I say I "I called them", I mean it took multiple calls where I was on hold for at least 20 minutes each time, and often after 20 minutes, it would send me to voicemail. I would then leave a voicemail and call back number and no one from that organization ever called me back.
The the corona virus hit and I did not want to go to a public place so I called a week in advance to cancel the appointment. Again, put on hold and eventually shunted to voicemail where I left my cancellation message and a call back number, and no one ever called back. I had been put on a monthly payment plan and they charged my credit card $19.95. After the frustrating experience of never being able to reach anyone and after leaving at least 3 voicemails with callback numbers and no one ever returning the calls, I decided to cancel everything with them. It took multiple phone calls, totaling at least 2 hours on hold, to finally get a human on the phone. That person told me "since you're a Gold VIP member, there are no refunds". Their website says "If you need to cancel your screening, a full refund is issued if you call at least 2 days prior to your appointment", which I had done.
I kept reading that to her and she kept insisting, with no explanation, that "there are no refunds for Gold VIP members"... So I cancelled through my credit card company. These people might provide a helpful and important service, but their policies, customer service, and procedures suck big time, and they LIE. Horrible, frustrating and sickening is the best way I can describe my experience.

At this point you don't even deserve 1 star, this company can't seem to get their act together, my wife and I had an appointment on March 4th and received a phone call that they were overbooked and didn't have the staff to handle all the appointments so they needed to re-schedule us to the next week, we get there and they tell us they're running two hours behind. I have a business to run, I can't neglect my business because this company can't get their act together. I can't say anything to the screenings because I haven't been able to get them done due to the very poor business management of this company. I called in to let them know how unhappy I am but the attitude on the other end was basically, they could care less. Another example of a company that is too big to care... I can't imagine running my business this way.

I’ve had a couple of screening done before and I thought it was time to do it again. I’ve had three of them done now. As far as economic-wise, Life Line Screening was affordable. The reps made me feel welcome too. I had many questions for them but they did their job. They’ve been very professional most of the time. There were quite a few people there. But it wasn’t that long a wait. They get to you through in a pretty good time. The results were okay too. There were groups that came out and set it up and did their stuff, and what they did and everything seemed good.

We did the heart disease and the stroke test with Life Line and there were six different things on the list. Their techs were very nice and they explained everything. The screening was quick and took about 45 minutes. It wasn't long unlike if I sit in a hospital clinic and be there for hours. When I gave the results to my doctor, she was glad to get it. She went over it and she said it was good.

My primary care physician suggested a preventative screening done because it was affordable and thought it was a good screening method. Everybody at Life Line was very friendly and nice. We didn't have to wait long. We were in and out of there within an hour. We were very satisfied with that time frame. We had heard from other friends who had gone to Life Line Screening in nearby town that they had to wait a long time, and we didn't have to.
The osteoporosis test, testing your lower leg doesn't seem thorough and that was one of the things the primary care physician said that out of all the tests, that was what she didn't put a lot of stock in. I know several of my friends have had problems with osteoporosis. As you get older, that becomes more and more of an issue. And I think that is something that needs to be screen. But other than that, everything seemed to be good. I was interested in the cardio part because in general annual visits, they don't do a lot with that, at least with somebody my age. My parents both had heart health problems and that's something I wanna keep up on. That was one of the reasons I did the Life Line Screening in the first place. I wanted to have things checked out, for potential aortic aneurysm.
Amanda -- thanks for the feedback! We're glad you had a good experience with Life Line Screening and are happy to hear that your primary care physician recommended these preventative screenings. The osteoporosis screening is simple but effective and helpful, and we're happy to offer it. It's definitely something that can become more of an issue as you age. You're absolutely right that cardiovascular screenings are an important part of preventative health, so we hope to see you again next year!

I had a screening Sept. 2018. All went well. I was under the impression this was a onetime investment as I only wanted an initial screening. They continue to take $19.95 from my card as of this date, Feb. 2020. I should have been paying closer attention to my credit card statement. I called the lifeline # offered on their website to have the problem taken care of. They transferred me to another number which eventually said they could not take my call and would call me back, which they did not. Very disappointed! Be careful releasing your credit card information and make sure they tell you if they decide to make you a “platinum“ member which apparently they did to me without my knowledge.

I have medicare and medicaid so I don't have to pay any money for my normal doctors to examine me. I won't pay for Life Line to do the same thing that I can get for free... I feel it is a waste of my money.
Hi Kenneth - We’re glad if you have access to health coverage that pays for carotid artery screening. In some cases, Medicare won’t pay for tests unless you have cardiovascular disease symptoms, in which case it may be too late. So Life Line Screening exists for those asymptomatic individuals who want to get screened but whose insurance company won’t pay for the screening process.

I had preventive screening done before with Life Line, and this time, I got three screenings done. The screening technicians were really good and they made me feel very relaxed. I was just put off with the receptionist. It seemed like she was a little rude to the lady ahead of me. The lady came in early and the receptionist just said, “Well, you just have to wait,” because she was busy on her phone. I understand that it was maybe her lunch hour and she can do whatever she wants, but she should always be polite no matter what. She could've just said, “Please give me a second, I’ll be right with you.” It bothered me that she was rude to the lady. But after that, the waiting time was fine. The only mix up was that, when I set up to do bloodwork, I was told I had to fast, but when I got there, they told me that I didn’t have to. The screening results made me feel good because I’m fine at where I’m at. I don’t have to worry, take any further test or change anything.
Thanks so much for your feedback, Althea. We're glad the experience was comfortable and your results made you feel secure! When I walked in, there was no sign-in sheet. They just said, "Have a seat." They didn't ask my name. I had a seat, and then they called people up that got there after me. But I had an appointment. So, it was very confusing, and people started saying, "Did you forget me? Did you forget me?" Because apparently, there were some people that had been there longer than me. They need to put a sign-in sheet so that they could take people in the order they come in, except for appointments, and then walk-ins would be worked in. That makes perfectly good sense to me. If they would fix the check-in process, it'd be better for their people and for their patients. But the results were fine and I took them to my doctor. It might help if people were notified about the additional testing that they offer. If more information was given on that, they may have more participants.

I would encourage others to do the screening if they have any type of concerns rather than waiting for signs or symptoms then having to go through your doctor. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Several years ago, I took my mother-in-law to Life Line Screening and then when I turned 50, I started getting informational emails. So I decided this year, I would do it because I have high cholesterol and I’m a social smoker. My dad also had popliteal neuropathy. So I was curious.
All of the people at Life Line were very friendly, from the guy who checked me in to each tech that I went to. They were very professional and they made me feel comfortable. They explained what they were doing so the experience was very positive. I paid 150 and the screenings I got were aortic, abdominal and the one where they put a strap on your two arms and your ankle. The results all came back good and I hope it’s actually accurate.
glad that Life Line Screening was able to provide insight into your cardiovascular screening health and that our professional staff made you feel welcome. Hope to see you again next year !

I’ve had high blood pressure for an amount of years and I wanted to make sure none of the stuff like plaque was building up in the vein. Life Line Screening was something the wife had seen online and she said we should do it, so we did. The technicians who assisted us were great and very informative. I did three types of screening where they did the bones and joints, as well as the veins in my neck and heart. And the results showed that everything was good, so I was happy.

I was there at Westminster Church for the 5 preventive stroke test today. The test requires an 8 hrs fast. It was my fault that I forgot to fast for 8 hrs. so I called the toll free customer service to ask the issue. So the customer service said that since there is no bloodwork it is ok for 4hrs fasting. So I went to my appt at Westminster Church. The receptionist greeted me nicely. So when they called my name I asked again about the fasting. The attendant was really rude and angry. And she said that I should have followed the instructions. And she said those customer service does not know what the procedure is. Then if that is the case they should trained them to be more well informed.
Of course I know I admit that I was wrong and I was willing to go back at another time. So she said will see if it will work. The technician who did the Carotid and Abdomen were fine. The whole test lasted about 15mins. The same technician who was rude was still throughout the leg test. And rushing to be done. So impolite. Makes me think how accurate could the results be and it was done right. I been going to Life Line Screening and had referred friends about them for years. But today I was very disappointed.
Thanks, Maria. All feedback is important to us and we appreciate the time you took to tell us about your negative experience. Someone sent me something through the mail about preventative screening and it was in the neighborhood, so I decided to do it. My interactions with Life Line's reps were easy and quick. They had it set up nicely and it was like you just went to a hospital and had those testing done. I had to take all the blood and all that stuff, but they came up with the same problem that was diagnosed by my doctor. Other than that, I like the fact they were so thorough without all that waiting and I'll do it again.

I'm 45 and something was happening to half of my friends. I was freaking out. I had to get checked out. But I don't really have a doctor and I'm not really sick. My husband did the screening years ago and I remembered the name. Life Line Screening is a great screening process to start and I looked it up online, scheduled and went. The experience was wonderful. I did the thighs, the abdominal ultrasound, the EKG and the carotid – that package – and the techs were very friendly. They didn't say much but I know they can't because I'm a technician myself. And no, it was really nice. The only thing is that the location was not so clean. But I know they have to be mobile and they gotta choose their location so it's all good.
The only other thing is that I wish we got a full report so that we can bring it to the doctor. All we got was saying where you fall in the zone. I would have liked the printout of the ultrasound or the readings of the carotid. It would be nice to get the actual report in the event you can compare it later with your doctor or if there was something abnormal, you could have taken it to the doctor instead of then repeating it for hundreds and thousands of dollars over because you don't have the report. But the overall screening was very good. In fact, I've already been recommending them to people.

I had gotten a flyer in the mail about preventative screening and I was reading everything about it. It was telling me what it was about and all the things you had to go through. At the time, I wanted to know if I had some kind of artery clogging, so I did it. The Life Line screening was a breeze to go through. When I got back the results, everything seemed to check out normal.
But I feel like it wasn't enough information. All they did was take a bunch of x-rays and to me, it wasn't thorough enough. They put some sticky stuff on the back of it then just go over your body for 10 seconds. To me, it was not catching the details and I thought that for that kind of money, it should've been more thorough. So it kinda bothered me a little and I feel like I got cheated out of my money. Other than that, each of them were very nice. They laid me on the table and helped me. They were also quick but that gave me the impression that they were trying to get everybody out of there.
Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention, Adrienne. We apologize for your recent experience with Life Line Screening did not fully meet your expectations and will use your feedback to make additional improvements to our process. I wanted to do the preventative checkup as much as possible because my mother had that bulge-thing in her aorta and she didn’t know it. They accidentally found it. The people that I asked questions to at Life Line Screening had a proper answer. My triglycerides was high and the technician recommended me get the diabetes test, and I got that. I had six things done and the actual going and getting the test was about 15 minutes. But the waiting for my turn was a long time. The results were very easy to read. I don't have the same things as my mom and that's one thing. Now, I also know I’m supposed to eat healthier. The results stated that I’m at risk for certain things. But if I make lifestyle changes now then maybe I’ll be less likely to get that.

My mother was in the hospital when Colorado City had their health fair, and a Life Line Screening display was there. I went around, and there was a young man there, and I talked to him. I decided that it was something that I needed to do. I've had several done. After I got signed up with Life Line, they would send me something every time they were gonna be close to where I lived. And then moved over here in San Angelo, and I got a letter, and they were gonna be here. So, I went to it and I got a screening. Their techs have always been really good. My mother had a stroke and my dad had a heart attack. I kinda got them both, so I try to keep with Life Line Screening.
I recommend Life Line Screening all the time. They did my carotid arteries for the stroke, and they found something. But it wasn't in my carotid. My thyroid was picking something up. So, they sent me a letter that I could take to my doctor. They did a thyroid scan, and I have a cyst on my thyroid. We found that through Life Line Screening. I've had several tests done on that. And each time that I do it, and the last time I did it, my carotid started to kinda show some buildup in them. So, I will keep that checked as often as I can.

I’ve been lucky enough to have good health. But it’s hard to get a doctor’s appointment for several different things if you wanna make sure you’re okay. I have taken the screening as a way to see if there’s anything that needs to be attended to. So far, I haven’t found anything.
One of my friends had done the screening with Life Line and we went together a couple of years ago. I just followed up because they sent me a notice. Their tech was a woman and she was fine. They seemed to be well-organized. I did four of the six screenings that they do. I had my arteries checked. I don’t have any heart problems nor do I have any cholesterol problems and blood pressure problems. They just checked over legs. It was a really short process. There were a number of people that were being screened and I probably waited 15 minutes. It took five or six minutes. The result was pretty good. The only thing is Life Line is billing me by the month now for something I didn’t sign up for. I’m really concerned about that.

I did a preventative screening three years ago, and decided that every three years, I would do that in addition to my physical. Because I don’t feel like the physical really gives me a full picture of my health. I received information in the mail from Life Line Screening, and I took a look at them online to see what it was all about and thought I would give it a try. The last tech that I had was a little bit funkier than the first one, simply because the location that they were in was under construction. So they had to improvise a bit, but certainly was not any fault of theirs. I just had a screening back in April, but I continue to get emails on a regular basis. And that’s slightly irritating to me.
Life Line found an issue that my doctor was unaware of. When they did the vascular testing, it came back that one of my legs had less blood flow than it did three years ago. So I brought that to my doctor and went through additional screening, and it was determined that, in fact, there is a blockage starting there. So the screening was very beneficial for me and my health. I have recommended Life Line Screening to other people.

After 4 weeks without hearing anything, I called Life Line and was told that my results had been mailed out, but would be resent. After another 2 weeks I finally received my results, with the report dated 5 weeks after my screening. (In the meantime I had to have some of the same tests done by my regular doctor) The results showed that my bone density was normal, with no osteoporosis, and I know for a fact that I do have osteoporosis, diagnosed by several doctors. This makes me doubt the accuracy of all of the tests done by Life Line. A friend who also had the screenings at the same time as I did is still awaiting his results, 6 weeks later.

I take my regular office visits to see my doctor and since Life Line Screening offered some things that I thought I would get checked, I decided to sign up and go through the process. There were about five procedures done and the whole process was good. Although it was busier and it took longer than what I expected, I understood why that happened. Besides, they ran them through as quickly as possible. The people who did the exams were all courteous too. They explained what they were doing.
The only thing is that I was a little uncomfortable with one procedure. They hook up to your ankles and have you lay flat on a hard surface, and there was no pillow. It would’ve been nice if that was a little more comfortable or at least if you had a pillow to put underneath your head while the exam was being done. But overall, the experience was very satisfactory and I would recommend Life Line Screening. If you would’ve gone to a doctor or a hospital and had each procedure done separately, it would’ve been a lot more expensive. So as far as the price, that was very good.

With Life Line Screening, I had a positive, comfortable experience that provided facts and reassuring results. Life Line's content marketing approach drew me. I have seen a couple of times the flyer that was coming around with the information printed on it. Also age was a factor, but more specifically just looking at a milestone in my own personal age, whenever you reach a new decade to kind of reassess things. Life Line was very close to where I'm living. And the cost to do it for that convenience of being close, when I balanced it out, I was willing to pay that just for that convenience to get everything done without having to really go to my primary care provider who is actually further away than they were. So, then it was a time saving factor for me too that I didn't have to drive and go through a clinic.
Even though you could expect an hour to an hour and a half that you're there, there was something that suggested it could happen pretty quick because it's multiple stations on one place. So, the driving time for me to go to my primary care doctor and then the time that it would take to get all those tests lined up and go to different sections of the clinic that would probably take several hours versus getting it done in one time.
I had more than one tech because each station had different techs at it and everybody was good. When I first walked in, I was greeted very positively. I didn't have a wait time. And then I was directed where to sit. The technicians all explained what was going on. Also, they all kept saying, "Are you comfortable? Is this a comfortable position? Do you need a pillow?" They checked in on how I was physically feeling as I was preparing. One even asked, "Are you nervous?" "Are you getting tests?" And they would be like, "There's no pain." They did all those types of things to just be reassuring. It was very efficient and I felt informed.
I got the peripheral arterial disease screening. I also got the one for a condition which could lead to sudden death if you have some kind of rupture in the stomach, and they did an ultrasound in the stomach area to identify that. They also did an EKG. And for the PAD test, it was like doing different pressures on my body to make sure there was some kind of balance. They looked for an imbalance between blood pressure across different parts of the body. I got what I went there for. The results were complete and they were all positive. And because of them being positive, it would reduce any anxieties again as I'm getting older about those possible things being there. I'd recommend Life Line. I have suggested it to other people.

My experience with Life Line was great. I got an email about them, and I had issues that I wanted to be resolved and put my mind at ease. I got a package which has 4 or 5 things that they screened for and it was $149. They did AFib (atrial fibrillation), carotid, and an aortic. There were 4 or 5 ultrasounds. My first thoughts when I first walked in was odd and I didn’t expect it to look like that. It was all those little screens and little departments, but it went very smoothly. The only thing that I didn’t like was the osteoporosis test because that was not accurate at all. All they do is one little thing for two seconds on the leg, which doesn’t prove anything because I have osteoporosis. I’ve had osteoporosis for 15 years and it’s showing that I didn’t. And I’ve had bone scans which was definitely more accurate. So, that’s probably something they can do away with because it’s a waste of time. But all in all, I would definitely recommend Life Line Screening.

I usually have Life Line preventive maintenance done every year. They went and checked my carotid arteries because the first couple of times, it showed there was a little bit of buildup. But then, that hasn't gotten any worse. Everybody at Life Line is really friendly and courteous. Moreover, the price is reasonable and I don’t have to wait very long for my appointment. Life Line does some regular screenings that my GP doesn’t do, like the aortic aneurysm test. There, I feel like I get some extra things better indicative of my general health that I don’t get through my GP. The first time I was there though, it wasn't an overall positive experience. It felt very disorganized. My appointment was one of the first ones, and the location they used was not one of the best ones I’d been to. The entrance wasn’t clearly marked on the building. Also, they were not prepared for people. I was the third person to arrive, and we had to wait close to half an hour before they were ready for us. The first test I had, the folks did not seem friendly. The check-in people were not friendly either.
I’ve gone to Life Line several times since then and I’ve always had a positive experience. I did the blood work, they checked the liver enzyme, I did the bone density, I did the carotid arteries and I did the EKG. The techs that did the ultrasound were friendly. They did the bone density too and they had knowledge of what they were doing. The nurse that did the blood test was super. I said something to her about it, and she said that she loves her job, and I could tell.
Anita, We apologize that your recent experience was less than great. It's not only important that you get quality screening services but also that those services are provided in a timely & friendly fashion as well. I got a preventive screening done for the fact that I can get all those tests in one place and not have to make five different appointments for five different times. Life Line Screening was the only company who does those kind of tests in one location, all at once. They're definitely very beneficial and they send me all the results to share with my doctor. The tech was very professional and very knowledgeable. She was concerned about my comfort and positioning me in the way that was needed to be connected for the different tests. They told me that the tests would take about an hour and a half, but I was walking out in under an hour and a half.

The process moved nicely and I was totally satisfied with it. The results were perfect too. I brought them to my doctor and they were exactly what I expected in terms of what I wanted to know. Life Line called me one day and told me that preventive screening was something that would be good to do, and I did it. I went last year for the first time and then I went again this year. I personally like the way I was treated. I really felt cared-for. They were very, very kind to me. During the process, I was totally 100% comfortable. They did about five different tests on my legs, on my arms, on my stomach, and on my neck. They were caring, and very, very professional. Another thing that I appreciated was the fact that they have everybody on a time schedule. When I go in there, I know exactly how long it will gonna be.
It’s good to be able to have a personalized care like that. The types of tests that they’re giving are tests that are life saving or it could inform you if there’s a life threatening situation. And you need that type of affordability in your life as you get older to be able to monitor your own health. The care that they give you is done in a nice amount of time, and you also get your results back in about two weeks. It’s worth it.
I’m very impressed with Life Line Screening. They let me know that I’m on a high risk of having a stroke. I got a little scared when I heard that. But, it’s good to know. I don’t take it lightly, but I’m glad that I knew about it. It has made me more aware of the fact that I need to take care of myself better. I would recommend Life Line.

I had had Life Line Screening done in the past and I was interested to see what the changes might be. The quality of results that I obtained from the screening is worth the price. However, I was disappointed when I came in that I had to stand there for about 10 minutes while I had an appointment, and somebody who was a walk-in was being given all the information.
Another person was sitting by her and that other person was the one that we went off and talked about the benefits of my going through these different questionnaires. But I was just frustrated to have to stand there and have to wait when all I had to do was go in and verify my name and that I was there. It just seemed ridiculous. Somebody could have said, “Excuse me, just a moment,” and taken the time so I could go and sit down. By the time of my appointment, it was getting close to the break time at the end of the day and the technicians were absolutely exhausted as they go through the various screeners. I felt very badly for them and I kinda felt guilty I was there because they were exhausted.

I’m 50 and I have no health insurance. A friend of mine had Life Line Screening done. They were nice when I got the whole thing done. But they didn't have enough time to do anything, though. They were during the procedure. But no one was rude. Everyone was jovial. I had a couple of friends that are nurses that doubted the accuracy of them though. Considering my overall appearance, the numbers didn't seem to jive. I'm 50, 5’9, 270, and I come back with perfect blood pressure and low cholesterol.
It’s also a little weird too ‘cause you first think you’re paying something, then you go and you pay a bunch more. I went in there, and I thought I was paying 190, and then, it ended up being 280. That’s the only thing that I thought was a little funky. Cause my buddy said it was like 300 bucks. I said, “No, I went online. It was $190, some special.” But then, I got there and they were like, “that doesn't include everything.”

I've used Life Line for several years now so this is probably the sixth time I've had a test done and I like the convenience and the pricing for what I get ‘cause if going to the doctor and try to get all that, a lot of times the person has to have a medical reason instead of just being preventative, which Life Line got, and it's a lot higher too. I did a general screening and I also did the new one for the colon cancer, although I've never gotten my results back and I need to follow up with that. For the type of test I had done, I had to fast so that’s the worst part. I can't have coffee. But the process has been very easy. They're typically very quick. I also like the type of people they go and I always end up having great conversations with the people that are there.
I've always been very pleased with the value as far as what I'm getting. They’ve gotta send after the test and I understand that because of the reading. A lot of times they'd let you know that everything was fine but they'd send it off so at least, in that way, you're not to worry. I also like that if they see anything, immediately they will either refer you and you're not having to wait. As I've read in some of the testimonials, even people they’ve done immediately, like in the emergency room and the ones that are always doing the test, they always have some great personalities. There was also a $25 gift card because I also participated in a study on some kind of weight loss. They were kind too.

I had an X-ray done and it seemed like I had a block in my arteries so I wanted to check that out. Years ago, I saw a commercial on TV and Life Line Screening was showing the exact screening where they put the machine on your neck and they look for buildup there in the arteries. I called and they asked how I heard of them and if I had any questions. I let them know why I was calling and then they said that they do offer screening for that. The rep told me I was a little young for the screening and wondered why I would want that screening considering my age. I explained it to her and she said that made sense. So then she offered me different options. I picked one and she helped me understand that package more in depth. Then she scheduled me an appointment. Everything was great.
They did a blood test where they put something over my neck and glide the machine around my neck. They did the same thing on my stomach area and they also hooked up some kind of electric things to my shin area. The quality of the results was great. I felt like I got an exact picture of my health at the time and I started working out. I was already dieting then.

I retired and I hadn't gotten Medicare, and I normally did a check-up every year. So, I just pay the money to have the check-up done through Life Line Screening. My experience with them has been excellent. They were doing different types of screening for just one price. If I had gone somewhere else, I would've had to get a referral for that, to have a referral for this, to have a referral for this thing, and I just wasn't for that. I wanted to get everything done at one time, and it worked out perfectly.
The Life Line Screening techs were the best. They were nice, friendly, and they explained everything they were going to do and what it was for. They were very thorough. It is a very nice team. They were very knowledgeable, addressed all of my questions, and they also gave me advice on certain things that I should look at because I've been having a problem with my high blood pressure since I was 14. My blood pressure always stay high even though I'm on medication and general medication since 15 years old. No matter what they had given me, it never worked to get my blood pressure down to where it's supposed to be.
So, I spoke to one of the nurses and she told me to see a nephrologist to see if my kidneys were working properly and my liver was working properly. I wanted to go back and do my screening through Life Line Screening for other things because they only just touched on a few things. But I wanted to use their service to get any other screening that they offer besides the one that I had done. And I told several of my friends about it also. I let them know that it was fast, it was very informative, the people were very nice, and I loved it. It was great.
The quality of the results that I got from the screening wasn't that bad. A couple other things that were on there, I knew already that it was a possibility, but I just wanted to make sure that I was having to be going to one doctor. And I also liked that with Life Line Screening, I was in one facility and there were five things done. To me, that's important. I did the heart disease, stroke, cancer, bone and joint screening, which was awesome. And also, I asked them if there were any other tests that they did besides the one that I had done so I can have it done through them.
With the screening results, I've known I had high blood pressure, but I already knew that. And my COPD is not that high, but they want me to have another test done in April. Everything else was good. So I'm not worried. Before, I was worried because I normally have a physical every year nonstop. I've been doing it for 30 years. And then, my life changed, and I didn't have medical coverage. I use that as an alternative to make sure that I was okay. They put me at ease. It's the most awesome thing. I just wish they do everything that could go wrong with the human body. I wish they do a screening for all of that. Still, I'm satisfied.

This is the fourth year I've done preventive screening and financially, it has definitely helped not having to put out a ton of dollars. It’s a whole lot less expensive than going through your doctor’s office to try to get all of the tests that they do done. It also definitely makes me aware of my decision where I can do better. Whenever I go to do the Life Line Screening, afterwards, I go and have my annual physical done with my primary doctor. It is generally just a confirmation. He’ll do my blood pressure and a separate blood panel. But they usually run hand-in-hand with what the results are with the Life Line. So I’m content with the result. I think they’re legit.
The people are also always very gracious and helpful with the information that they give, like what’s available to me for whatever price they have going at the time. They always undercuts the doctor’s office, no matter what. Then each person has their station that they do the test with and I ask about their credentials. I wanna know if they know what they’re doing and if they’ve been schooled and trained to do it, and the majority of them have had some type of a medical background, which is really good. I definitely feel better with it. I had a panel that checks for chronic COPD, diabetes, congestive heart failure, coronary heart disease and stroke, as well as kidney disease, blood pressure, waste and weight. They set a complete list of panel, including glucose and the C-reactive whatever, the abdominal aortic aneurysm, peripheral arterial disease and osteoporosis. Then they send you the results thing and it is very easy to read. I have highly recommended them to friends.

I was having some numbing in my feet and I saw the advertisements of Life Line Screening. One of those was for peripheral artery disease. During the screening process, you go in and register. Then there are three different sections that you go to. Each one has a different person that does the screening. The techs were very professional and the team seemed to get along very well. They came from long distances. They communicated with the different patients telling them that they would get the results of the test and it’s something they might wanna do a follow up with their physician. They told one lady that she might wanna go ahead and go to the doctor’s office when she left there.
I went for the generic screening which was the $99-one that they advertised on TV. I was chatting with the techs as they were doing their procedures and they said that they sent people to the ER and called ambulances before trying to get people help. They gave me something to take to my physician the next time I go just to let them have that on file, which I thought was a good thing. They also said that the next time I visit my doctor, I should show him my feet weren’t bad but they weren’t the best either. They said I should let the doctor see it, and then I ought to discuss it. I said I will do it. Also, I recommended Life Line to my sisters.

I’ve had three tests with Life Line. The last time I was there, it was a little crowded and had to wait quite a while. There were technical problems with their computers. The thing with Life Line is they have to operate in kind of odd quarters many times. They don’t have their own place so they go anywhere they can find space. They have to make do with what they have. The biggest problem was the long wait. I waited for two hours. Everybody was very nice about it though. But my results were very good. I got an okay from my family doctor before I took the tests and she said that was fine to do. Life Line was consistent with everything I knew about myself so they were fine. Their people were all very helpful. My blood pressure was pretty high that day and they were very concerned.
Hi Phyllis! I'd like to apologize for the long wait time that you experienced on your last visit. We're grateful that the combination of quality of cardiovascular and related health services at reasonable prices has meant that demand has been high, however we also recognize that it's also translated into longer wait times in some cases. It's Life Line Screening objective to make sure that your screening experience is always very positive and you have our commitment to work on improving our wait time. -Thanks Again!

I heard about Life Line Screening on TV and I made a phone call. They told me where to go. The staff was efficient and seemed to know what they were doing. They were in and out of there. Plus, they told me why they were doing everything they did. I was excited about the results that I was doing pretty good. I came out smelling like a rose.
Thank you, Larry! We're so glad that your test results as well as your experience with our friendly Life Line Screening staff was positive. Hope to see you again next year !
