My doctor referred me to a cardiologist but my appointment was so far out. With Line Line, I scheduled my appointment within two weeks. I went with them as a precautionary measure and they were all nice. They were very helpful and they didn't really answer any questions because they said that it's against their protocol. Everything was satisfactory.

Life Line's screening techs were very pleasant, so I wasn't afraid of anything and I felt comfortable. But on my recent visit, they were doing two tests at one time on me and I felt creeped out about that. One was doing one thing and the other one was doing the other. Then during one of the tests, the machine was broken. So, I won’t be getting that test until next year. They called me and I won't be getting appointment until January, which is a very long time. It's an inconvenience because they will not have a test at the testing site to replace that test that I needed and paid to have. But I still feel like the test that I was able to get was a quality test of my circulation.
Thank you for the 4 star review Robin! We apologize about the inconveniences you experienced during your screening and are glad you're coming back in a few months for the additional screening. My experience with Life Line was very pleasant. They greeted me at the door. I dealt with three different people and they were all very friendly and professional. I did screenings for the carotid artery and the abdominal aorta and testing the blood flow, wrists and ankles. The quality of the results was good. They told me each thing that as far as they could see there was no immediate problem or emergency situation. But a doctor would review it and I would get results within a couple of weeks, which I did.

Life Line Screening gives me peace of mind. It answered some questions, like bone density, that I had in the back of my mind. I saw that there was a partial clogging up of my right aorta. I showed that result to the cardiologist that’s treating me after I'd had a stent put in my heart. He said, “That's interesting. We are going to follow up on that.” I am pleased with the results of the testing.

My experience has been excellent with the people assigned me and also with the people doing the test on me. This last time, it took a half hour. The last two years, I've turned the results over to the APRN that I was seeing. Last year, it showed that I had buildup in my left artery. She insisted on me going to the hospital and having an ultrasound done. She wanted to see it for herself. It ended up costing me about $700 out of the pocket after insurance. She told me the results showed that I had no plaque buildup at all in that particular artery. This time, I went back in. Life Line Screening showed me the same thing. It said my aorta was ballooning a little bit. I talked to my doctor and she said she wanted to keep an eye on it. They said it was a good idea that I get those tests done with Life Line Screening. The price was right too.

Life Line will do what they say they're gonna do. It's easy and doesn't take long. There's no pain involved. I go for the results of their ultrasound as opposed to anything else they offer or their narrative and assumptions about my health conditions, and I present this information to my primary care physician and my cardiologist. The day that I was there, I did my blood pressure and they said it was 126 over something and wrote it up as being hypertension. I know for a fact that I am not hypertensive. Every day I do four different routine tests - my temperature, my blood oxygen level, my blood pressure and EKG, and I document this. I have it all the way back to the first of the year and it was nowhere near what they were saying. In fact, my cardiologist who I see regularly took me off of blood pressure meds about five years ago.

My wife signed up for this service and I went along to keep marital bliss. She told me that we will be going to get medical screening to make sure we are healthy. Again, even though I get an annual physical I wanted to keep wifey happy and went along. When I looked up the directions it showed that we were going to a Hotel???? Ok, I played along. Sure enough, we go to a mid-level hotel and follow the signs to the "waiting room" which was hotel chairs lined up in the hotel conference room with the administrator (very unpleasant) taking your name and asking medical questions in front of everyone.
When your name is called, you are walked to another conference room with cloth dividers that spit up the different tests you go to. When you walk through you see and hear people getting their tests and listening to the medical questions and answers given. Very Uncomfortable because of obvious privacy concerns. This is an annual medical physical with the exception you are doing it in front of a bunch of strangers doing theirs. Ick.
I tried several times to reach the CEO David Bruggeman to relay this experience and his assistant said that he has received my messages and would call back. Well, 4 calls, 4 messages I guess this isn't on his radar, so I am putting this experience on your radar. If your privacy is of value to you, DO NOT DO THIS SERVICE.

I made an appt for my husband. He arrived 10 min. early as requested. The crew was already cleaning up for the day. He felt rushed (in the way) and also felt like the scan was a joke. We paid a lot of money for multiple scans ($150.00 +) and he left feeling like they did nothing. He was actually driving away in less than 10 min. beginning to end. What a surprise, the results of the scan came back 100% perfect. Hmmm! I don't think Life Line Screening even did anything that day. When I called to give feedback, they never called me back. I called again and the lady said that they would check into it and call me back. No return call. I then wrote a letter simply asking for a redo scan to prove that this is not a hoax. Again, no response.
If this is actually real, then why will they not give my husband a redo when they are not cleaning up for the day and rushing him along? I don't know what's going on here, but Life Line Screening has left me feeling like they don't stand behind their practice. I'm still open for a redo, if anyone from Life Line actually cares. Do not waste your time or money. I would have benefited more from giving that money to the needy.

We've been coming and going to Life Line Screening for at least 20 years. It was the first time it came here to Alamogordo. Since then, different things have been revealed through the scans and screenings and I’m sold. And I tell everybody for the price you get as accurate as can be made. But they were almost right on for my issue. I'm very pleased.
The techs are very knowledgeable and extremely efficient. It was very slow this time. But they had a last minute change from one location to another. And people were showing up late and they were trying to work them in. But that is beyond anybody's control. Things were set up properly. We all had to wear our masks. They were very professional about that.
Get the test. It's very much worth it. One thing that I probably will do the next time is when they collect the blood to look for something about inflammation within the heart area. I'd probably recommend that, too. I would drop off some of them. From the packet, whenever they send it out, there's usually five for 100 something dollars. I don't know if you can drop one off and add another and it changes the price or not. For instance, AAA, once I have this repaired, I won't need that screening again. So that sort of thing, if it would be adjusted because there are definitely things I would have all the time. The osteoporosis, I get tests with the doctor all the time, but it doesn't hurt to have two opinions. And the carotid artery thing, that I would have each time. Other than that, I responded to Life Line's recommendations and I'm having a procedure that I needed done.

I went to Life Line Screening though I had no symptoms. They finished the screening and told me to go to a doctor or emergency room immediately. I went to my doctor and ended up with a successful surgery that, had I not had, would likely have resulted in a stroke. I do have one huge suggestion for LifeLine. The technician who did my screening told me to see my doctor within 24 hours or go to an emergency room. When you have someone like me who clearly was in a critical situation, they should have had an on line real doctor talk to me rather than having some tech who wouldn’t say anything else to me. Nonetheless, without doubt saved my life.
Thank you for sharing your experience with Janet. We are so happy to hear that you followed up with your doctor after our screening and had a successful surgery. We appreciate the feedback you shared very much and will discuss it internally.

Fasted 18 hrs, had dinner at 1800, they said no food after 0600 for a 1355 screening time. Not one thing said on appointment reminder about wearing a mask. There is no mask mandate in SC and in fact I had radio frequency ablation done at 0830 this at my doctors office with 2 nurses and the doctor and no one wore masks. I would not have made this appointment had they said masks were required on the phone call that set up the appointment. We will see how long a refund takes. Also on arrival no one was there, they were out to lunch and all in the back of the church with masks off.

They said they did a screening for our osteoporosis. They did not do it but we got a result. But the people were nice. They have just one guy who was more interested in his telephone than he was about doing what he was supposed to be doing. We didn't get a good deal with him. Other than that, the cost was very reasonable. The same test in a hospital would have been much more.

I thought Life Line Screening might be fraudulent in the beginning but after the screening, I followed up with my doctors and it confirmed that it was accurate. I went back there in January and was retested to see if the problem had gotten worse. The finding was accurate as well and I’m being treated now by several surgeons.
The results are 100% valuable and I'm very disappointed in the whole medical field. They do not seem to trust its accuracy. During the last testing, they gave me a thumb drive and they said to take it to my PCP. I did and my PCP blew it off. They were gonna use their own imaging centers to do it. That's disappointing in a way since I know Life Line is accurate. They give their certifications and mention their training in a cover letter, but the doctors are not even willing to look at it. Every doctor I've come in contact with has the same reaction to that. But I would recommend Life Line Screening to anybody.

Everybody was telling me to get my carotid artery and see if there were any blockages. I had it checked with Life Line and there were slight blockages from what they could see on their pictures. It was a good screening thing and it was a good thing to go through for me for my own knowledge. Life Line seemed like a good company and my experience with them was interesting. The people were nice and they seemed to know what they were doing. They were all professionals.
You get in line and you fill out the forms. You sit there and you wait until your name’s called. They tell you, “Okay, we're going to do this test. We're going to put this here and we're going to look at your veins and see if there are any blockages.” They explained what they were doing and they were very gentle. I did another test checking bone density. My bones are very strong. They were worried about the little blockage. The process was non-invasive. They were quick with the results and getting it back to me. The appointment time was X and within 20 minutes at the most, I was in to see them. I'm happy with them. In another five years, I'll go back and I’ll take another picture and see if there's anything wrong.

Life Line Screening sends me too many notices. Their right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing, because I would just have tested and they would send me a notice to test. The last time I went, one of the ladies evidently had a problem getting one of the carotid arteries, reading it from the machine. She tried and tried and ran around with it, sensor all over my neck. Finally, she called another lady over and she did the same thing but she didn't take near as long and the test was over. So, I knew this other lady was probably still in training. And everybody has to learn. That was why I went and had it done again at the hospital. To see if I got the same result.
And I realize that people have to be trained, but if you're in training, the people that are training you should be there with you. But they were somewhere else. She couldn't get it so she had to call somebody over that was somewhere else. That's the only thing I felt was a little odd. Other than that, it's a very good service. I'm a dentist and I recommend Life Line to some of my patients, especially if they’re showing that they may have a problem, like shortness of breath, because I check everything. I've been a dentist for 50 years and I try to be observant and see if I can help other things besides teeth.

When I booked the appointment online, it automatically added the 6 life tests package in spite of the fact that I unchecked it before submitting. I could not see this until after they had my payment information and there was no way to undo it. I called their customer service number only to get an automated menu. Following the instructions to enter my birth date with 2 digits for the month, day, and year, I kept getting a message that the first digit was invalid. I called again and put in the number to make an appointment and got a real person. I told her the problem. She said she couldn't do anything but would make a note of my call. The next morning was the day I had the appointment but I got a call asking to make my appointment 2 hours hours later. I agreed and told the representative about the extra charge. He said he would take care of the refund right then. I was not sure I remembered the new time so I tried to call back immediately.
I had the same issue as when I tried to call the night before. I went to the new appointment. I was told to have a seat. There were 5 people waiting and 5 more came in as I waited. All but one person were checked in as I sat there. The receptionist (some sort of manager) asked if anyone was not checked in. I raised my hand along with one other person. We were asked our appointment times. Mine was 5 minutes sooner. It was already 20 mins passed. He checked me in first. He asked if I changed my appointment. I said "No, you did". He explained that my name didn't come up because it was still in the system as 1:50 not 3:50. He checked me in and had me return to the waiting area. All but one person was called back ahead of me, regardless of their appointment times. I wasn't seen until after the receptionist area was broken down and loaded in their truck.
There was one other person still waiting. I did not get out of there until after 5:00! This cost me over $100 in rider fees since it was the busiest time of day for Uber drivers and I could not drive due to the appointment times change and the unnecessarily long wait. It became obvious to me that they are taking advantage of the 65+ population, who are stuck with the poor coverage of Medicare.

She had to keep having a young lady that didn't know what they were doing come over and do it, ripping it out of her hand and telling her how it should be done. Maybe they should have held her hand the whole time, which would have been fine, not cutting her loose then coming back, and cutting her loose and coming back for five times. I have two friends that went to Life Line over the years and they spoke highly of it and how it gave a nice detailed report of all the tests. Over the summer and back into the spring, I did not feel good and I kept going to the doctor. The doctor sent me to a heart doctor and they did lots of tests. They kept telling me I was fine but I still didn't feel good. I felt a little fatigued. I would take the dog for a walk every single night and I couldn't go as far as I used to go. That was getting shorter and shorter. There was something really wrong here.
I asked my friend about the Life Line Screening and he said it was going to be on August 19th at the Four Points Sheraton or Belmont Suites. I made an appointment and I went. I spent 150 and they did five tests. The girls then took me for a walk down the hall and they said I had to go to the emergency room because I had an abdominal aortic aneurysm that was pretty large. The normal one is 2 but I had 7.5. Some of the signs of an aortic aneurysm are fatigue, a little bit of shortness of breath, and pain in your lower back and up in your shoulder. I had all of those but I didn't know.
I went to the ER and they did tests then a CAT scan. They found the aneurysm and they contacted the surgeon on call for vascular. I had surgery on September 3rd. I was extremely fortunate that the surgeon on call was the director of vascular surgery. He was so nice and funny. He put me at ease. I have felt better every single day since the surgery. It's freakin’ amazing. The OR doctor told me that in four to six months, the aneurysm would have burst and in four minutes, I would have passed away. I suggest getting screened and I highly recommend Life Line. They saved my life and I am thankful for their services.

The last one I went to, she and her associate had a very good sense of humor. We cut up together. And I enjoyed that. Life Line was able to diagnose me with a heart problem I did not know I had. So the results were wonderful. The menu however was too big. We're familiar with it. But when we were there was more selling going on with respect to different tests than I would be comfortable with. But we have known it before, so we knew what we want and didn't want. The selling of the different services they have available should be done prior to any testing.
Other than that, Life Line Screening is a good thing to get. Because in my case, I found out I had what is called A-fib, and I didn't know it. They have impacted my life in such a way that I'm getting treatment for the A-fib. Many of the things that they do are things that we may not know we have. For example, an aortic aneurysm, which is a very dangerous thing. I know because I got one. But over a period of time, it can be a real problem. And that is one of the things you test for. An aortic aneurysm is something that, unless you went to Life Line Screening or you were just smart enough to go get the test, you would never know you had it.

Life Line Screening uses a cattle call approach to scheduling and overbooks appoints on purpose. They will ask you for money before providing you any services and will later (less than 24 hours before your appoint) change your appointment. I cannot claim they are a complete scam but I can warn you. Please keep in mind that if you sign up and send them money it can take from 5 to 11 days for them to give you your money back, at least that is what they told me. That said I am still waiting to get my money back.
If you plan on taking a day off work only to discover they cancelled your appointment then you're out a day's pay and left waiting to get your money back (if you gave them any money up front). Some have said that the services you receive can be done using other more reliable sources. Please keep this in mind is all I’m saying. If you do decide to make an appointment let them know you will pay once you receive the services and do not give them any money in advance.

Life Line did a great job in raising a flag and telling me what I needed to do. Also, the technicians were all awesome. The only thing I would do differently is keep the waiting area a little more separated than just a row of curtains. When you're back there behind the curtains and getting the work done on you, the people who are waiting are in earshot of what they're telling you as the results come in. There could be a little more privacy added to that. If they had more than just a curtain separating the two areas, it would be beneficial to the patient.

When I signed up for the screening I was told that most insurance would cover the screening on a reimbursement basis. But, when I tried to have the charges reimbursed my insurance company stated that since Lifeline Screening does not use medical billing codes they could not cover the cost. Furthermore, if I had had the screening done through my primary care physician Medicare would have covered it at 100%.

The wonderful people at Life Line Screening found an irregularity in my carotid artery with ultrasound testing. Subsequent medical professionals found that my right carotid artery was, in fact, more than 95% blocked. I was asymptomatic and wholly unaware of the issue. I had a carotid endarterectomy in mid July to remove the blockage. As of mid August, I'm nearly recovered from surgery. Thank you Life Line!

My husband had a stroke right before turning 55 yrs old. He had asked our PCP to have tests done several times, in the 5 yrs since then, to make sure there were no further blockages because they never really determined the reason for his stroke (stroke was 12/31/2015). His cholesterol numbers were normal & the PCP said that he was 'doing good ' & no need for any tests. We had a bit of a windfall & had the money to do Life Line Screening at the time of receiving the notice in the mail so I decided to set up appts for each of us.
We got results that his right carotid artery has 100% occlusion/blockage!! We were stunned & had it backed-up with further test done by a Vascular Surgeon, with the exact same results. BUT now we know how vital it is for these test to be done... They can not operate on 100% blockage, but we will watch his other arteries so we can stay on top of things! We are very happy we had this test done & really believe it could have been a decision that saved his life!!!

The techs were all very nice. When I got into each section, they were nice to me and treated me well. I had a heart reading and screening for cancer, bone, stroke and my joints. They also did a blood test and checked my kidney function. My carotid artery had indicated that it was not in good shape. So I went to the doctor and I got a test done. And my carotid artery was okay. He said it was a little bit blocked, but it took me 68 years to get there and it was not something to panic about. So Life Line wasn't lying about that but it didn't mean I better get into the hospital to get it fixed. I recommend Life Line to anybody. But if any results they get from their tests is to bring that result to your doctor, get that retested.

Please talk to your doctor before considering using this company. You don't deserve the anguish they have put us through. Remember your Doctor knows best what screening you need. Please check out the Cleveland B.B.B. Many complaints like mine. They are doing their best for us.
Original review: I always felt this company was suspect when two doctors would not even look at the results of this company. That said, the following is proof of a scam company. After I paid my commitment for nothing, they stole over $200.00 from me.. My stupid fault. This company continued to charge my card for one year at 19.95 per month. I had no idea they were doing this and they just kept stealing until my caretaker found it. After numerous e-mails and phone calls wanting to know why they were stealing from my card, they would not contact me and the phone calls were left on lengthy waiting with no results and no concern, just like any other day to them.
I contacted the BBB in the city of Cleveland Ohio where this finally got at least a response. The BBB are still working on this matter for me along with many others. The BBB has over 310 complaints in the last three years. This is terrible. Please check the BBB and other complaint mediums. My credit card company did a chargeback for four months the farthest they could go back. I am going to have to go into the fraud department to get the rest. Bottom line don't put yourself into the position I'm in right now. Lots of work trying to have them return stolen money. Just let your doctor order the procedures you require. I'm not going to tell you to stay away from this company but I can recommend you check their references and consult with your doctor. if you check their references you will have information to make an important medical decision.

Life Line Screening detected a total blockage of one of my husband's carotid arteries. We made an appointment right away with the vascular surgeon, who then told us that it wasn't life-threatening at this point and sent us on our way, which was good. But it gave us a baseline. My husband is now in touch with a vascular surgeon on a regular basis because of that. I'm very glad that we had the Life Line.
The staff was very helpful. But it was messed up because with the pandemic and the situation last fall, and they were getting super booked up. And then, they had staff shortages. I said, “You have to get me this appointment. ‘Cause we're going to Florida.” The lady I talked to went out of her way to make sure she got us that that day that we wanted. Because they called us and they were going to cancel because one of their people hadn’t shown up. Other than that, I would recommend Life Line to other people because it does check certain things. We see our doctor every six months all the time, and she's on top of everything normally. But the Life Line was a little extra thing that she would have missed it. So, it worked out.

They keep sending me stuff but I just had it done. They keep saying that we should do it again but it just puts me on the list, so it’s okay. Every other year or so, I follow up with a backup. I’ve been blessed with good health but to get the base, I kept it up. I see a heart doctor every year and he would tell me not to waste my money. I saw a screening with Life Line that I didn’t get from my regular doctor. Artery clogging in the neck was something that we weren't following through with the doctors and we weren’t running any kind of tests that would check it so it would be worth it to see if there was any going on. The only thing is that the few locations that I've gone to are all temporary ones.
There are enough space to put chairs and the beds or whatever to lie down on to do the testing on. But I'm not used to that from when I go to see my regular doctor. It wasn't comfort so much as the whole idea of fly-by-night. They move into this and then take your money and go away. There's no permanence in the location or the people that I could go back to, for example, and say that I was here two weeks ago and this is what the result was and to explain it. It was too mobile. But it wasn't uncomfortable. The only thing is that it might have been a little bit cooler than I would have preferred, but that's not a big deal.
For Life Line to do this, one thing that would make it more permanent-seeming would be like what I've seen done with blood pressure. They'll have a mobile blood pressure trailer set up. You go in. lie down on one of the beds that’s there, they do their thing and then, you go out the other end. It's still mobile but it's more permanent-seeming because money was spent to buy the vehicle and to outfit the vehicle with the equipment than to just move in, unload the stuff in the empty room, set it up, and then pack it all up and drive away the next day.

Here are the problems I have encountered with this company. First one is that you are required to prepay for their services that may or may not take place and there is no refund if you change your mind. You are entrusting people with your health and potentially your life to do the tests correctly and with care. Since these tests are prepaid there is no incentive for those doing the tests to do a good job and to treat you like your life is important to them for the length of time you're in there care. With that being said, I prepaid $383.00. My appt was the first one of the day. I got to my appointment 15 minutes early in case they needed to check me in prior to my scheduled appointment. The building they were using to perform these health screenings was a broken down dirty old church gymnasium in one of the worst areas of Orlando considered as "the hood".
I walked up to the door with my mask on and I gave a customary cordial greeting and rather than being greeted with a reciprocated friendly 'hi', 'hello' or "welcome to lifeline" what I got were hostile people barking orders at me to get back in my car because it wasn't 9am yet! I felt like I had entered a prison facility rather than a church building. It definitely was not how I wanted or expected a professional interaction with supposed "health care workers" to start off. So I got back in my car and decided not to do the screenings. I called the customer service line and spoke with Shirley who was by far the friendliest and most helpful. She encouraged me to try another location. Too bad Shirley couldn't have been at the screening. I'm sure if she had, things would have been different. Thank you Shirley!

We're not going back to Life Line Screening because it costs money and we're on Medicare Advantage. Our policies cover all that through our physician. I don't believe Life Line is worth the cost. The doctors really don't accept it. They'll order the same test again even though I give them the Life Line Screening stuff. When my wife and I go, it's $600. With Medicare Advantage, we hardly ever pay $10 for a doctor's visit, and I can't remember spending hardly anything, even when we go to emergency room. It's all kind of covered. I used to have five jobs after I retired from my main job. I'm over 89 and I only have one job. So, I can't afford it. $500 is a lot of money.
We went with Life Line due to the convenience and they used to be a little cheaper, too. I might have started way back when I was fairly healthy, and the doctor wasn't ordering any of those tests, especially the one about the carotid artery, the sonogram on your carotid, and then your aorta, your stomach. The doctor usually would take your blood pressure down at your ankles. With Life Line, it seemed like at one shot, you could get it all done, and it did cost a little money. It was a few hundred dollars. So, my wife and I did that for several years. Then we would take the results to our physicians, and if they thought there was a problem, they would order the test again. But now that I'm over 80 and things are showing up, our physicians say, “Oops, Life Line Screening says this and this. We better order you another test.”
The technicians and Life Line personnel were always nice. In fact, they were kind of friendly. This last time, the clerk that took us in and took all our information, we kind of became friends because they didn't have a whole lot of people coming through. For people who don't have insurance, I’d recommend them going through Life Line. I'm not dissatisfied with them, but their prices have increased over the last 10 years.
