I totaled my Lexus 2024 Vehicle in June of 2024. They tried every loophole to not pay it. They were hard to get in touch with for any answers. They did not pay enough on the claim. I owe now $51,000 to Lexus. I am seeking a lawyer.

I had Plymouth Rock for years and never needed them but when they couldn't cover a new vehicle adequately I went with a new carrier. I received a refund check after sending an email inquiring about it and deposited it in my account. A second check appeared in the mail for the same amount so I knew it was by mistake so I notified my agent and a few hours later they pulled back the deposited check from my account that was my money from a refund. I've sent emails, no reply asking for them to return my money but no response.
I sent the second check to my agent and they said I have to deposit it to get my money back. It's been a month waiting for my money back. Don't wait until you need them to get burned stay clear of cheap insurance because it's when you need them that it counts. I noticed most of the good reviews are from people that haven't needed them yet. I'll never go back or recommend them.. That was my money in my account they stole.

Thanks a lot for giving me false information! Your agent said my loan was paid in full, but I checked on it and there is still $1000 owed. Glad I didn’t take your word for it or my credit would be going down. So glad your company goes the extra mile for your customers...goodbye. Oh and thanks for the refunding my deductible like your agent said. I mean we got our car totaled by some old lady, lost $3000 so might as well take another $500 from us, right!? Told me we had $3000 in damages, then gets to the shop and it’s now $9000 and totaled. Agent got what he needed then left me hanging with a $1000 bill that I was told was paid in full. Thanks Alex, you’re the best. Crooks.

If I could give them a zero I would. They never did their job in giving the other insurer the information they need. I had to deal with the other insurer myself. This insurance is lazy, and DOES NOT DO THEIR JOB. Avoid at all cost.

I have been a loyal customer of Plymouth Rock Assurance for several years, maintaining my policy in good standing with zero claims and always paying on time. Historically, the company conducted home assessments themselves, but they recently shifted this responsibility to customers as a self-service task. I was not aware of the importance of this new requirement and unfortunately missed completing a self-home assessment.
Despite my years of loyalty and spotless claim record, Plymouth Rock chose to drop my coverage due to this oversight. This decision seems to prioritize cost-cutting over customer service and flexibility. It’s disheartening to see how a long-term relationship can be dismissed so quickly over a procedural change that was not properly emphasized to loyal customers. If you're considering Plymouth Rock for your insurance needs, be aware that they might prioritize their bottom line over customer loyalty and flexibility. I am extremely disappointed and now in the process of finding a provider who values their clients and provides clearer communication.

Shockingly expensive car insurance. I had Plymouth Rock for one year and was paying nearly $300 a month for bare minimum insurance, on a 2012 car. Right before my policy ended, I called the company to find out why with no points, and A clean driving record my policy was so expensive. I was told that they could not tell me at that time, but they would go over everything when I renewed. A month later I find out that my new price per month is $337 a month now, still no explanation on why. I ended up canceling my policy and going with Geico Who is giving me full coverage, AAA and only a $50 deductible for $200 LESS a month. I cannot for the life of me understand why Plymouth Rock is so expensive and apparently they don’t know either.

I obtain car insurance because someone recommended this company to us. I did quote online and at any point I can't remember seeing that we had to use their tracking application called Yubi. I received an email after we got insured and that was it, I ignored the email because I did not know that you must use the app to be insured. I got the app on my phone but was not able to figure out how to use it. I went on vacation and we received a letter in the mail while on vacation that our policy was being canceled because we failed to use Yubi tracking app. I called to get our policy reinstated and was told we were considered risky drivers for not using the app!!!! This was ridiculous. They are trying to control what you do and your location all the time and failing to make it a priority. People understand this when you get a policy online. I was told I was not notified via phone call because I got my policy online!! Stay away from this company!!! It is not reliable!!!!

Plymouth Rock filed claims when I was simply asking questions and now we are uninsurable until these claims they filed fall off. Please do not insure with them. Their customer service is the worst, and they do not care about you and will screw up your score and make you uninsurable. Evan who claims to be a supervisor provided the worst service.

The short of my feedback: unless you enjoy wasting time on insurance shopping and dealing with non-sense from Plymouth Rock, stay away from the company. Details of my experience can be found below. On 05/28/24 I got a quote (through progressive.com) which I approved and got my insurance with Plymouth Rock. On 06/21 I received an email from Plymouth Rock stating that the policy will be cancelled due to the following reasons:
1. Roof in poor condition with worn shingles and granular loss
2. Rear steps are missing handrails presenting a hazardous liability exposure
In that email there was a report with pictures clearly showing only minor granular loss of shingles in a couple of places on the roof. There were no "poor condition" or "worn shingles". The reference to the "missing handrails" applies to a walkway that is located in my backyard and it is NOT a part of my dwelling that I insured with this company. Again, the pictures from the report clearly show that.
Neither of such type of (unreasonable) requirements was ever mentioned at the time when the quote was put together nor when the company agreed to issue their policy. Had I known about that I would have not proceeded with the company to begin with. I also never had any even remotely similar problems with any of the prevous insurance companies I used in the past.
On top of that, the same pictures show that the company's inspector entered my property without requesting my permission - this is despite the fact that the property is surrounded with the fence line that has clearly posted signs "Private Property". Not only is this not acceptable but is illegal in the state of Pennsylvania. But that is not the end of the story... When I communicated these issues (and my disagreement) to the company via email, I've got no response. And the only option that worked was their phone line. That to me is just yet another confirmation of poor customer service quality of Plymouth Rock.

Had this insurance for a few years. Never filed a claim. However, when I tried to ask about whether or not they would cover an issue of a leaking pipe they opened a claim so they could tell me no. Even though no payment was paid out it still was a strike against us. Soon afterwards we received a letter stating there were hazards reported and they needed to come out and do an internal inspection of our home. (And outside) We have a well-maintained house inside and out! So they send a guy out, he takes pictures...they get back to us. The letter states our hazards. 1. A ladder leaning against our shed (which my husband just put there a day ago after unloading his truck from work) 2. A 1" gap at the front door stoop against the house.
That's it! Next letter...fix it before the end of the month (which BTW was only 3 weeks) or we may cancel your policy. Are you for real? Next letter... We will be raising your policy payment 48%. Do you think they were trying to get rid of us? Yup! Unethical, threatening and upsetting! Steer clear of this communistic insurance company!!! Which BTW...is now a Progressive Co.

Plymouth Rock makes you download a UB app where you have to log a certain amount of drives, I carpool to work so I do not drive however they still log those driving. And asked me if I was driving a passenger on a plane walking? Why is it their business what I’m doing while I’m not driving. It should not be legal for them to track me. Meanwhile, in the contract, it says that I opted in for the app. But when I didn’t download the app, they sent me a letter of termination advising that I cannot have that insurance without using the app and technically illegal for us to be tracked 24 seven.

I'm starting here so I had Plymouth Rock insurance from 2020. I had never filed a claim before. Fast forward I'm in NYC family business the check engine light came on. On my journey I took it to the nearest bmw I could got there I was told the rodents/rats ate my engine harness. He stated that its was not SAFE TO DRIVE.The shop advised me to call my insurance which I did. The rep I spoke wit stated I was covered under comprehensive coverage. Ok now the shop has my car at this point, plymouth rock had there adjustor come out and do the estimate. Ok shop starts work now its over 9k..(yea crazy) that's another story.
Now fast forward I been under investigation I send them so much personal information provided my address. Even spoke to investigators like I was the one who ate my harness. They want so much personal information which I wasn't supposed to cause they had everything but I still comply. Knowing that I had this company for a long time I would never believe this is how they make money. They take all payments but when something happens they treat you like a non paying consumer.
I have been giving advise from all over I contacted Commissioner of Finance and I started the process of filling out paperwork. It's been over a month now and everytime I spoke wit Kayla B the rep handing the claim is has no clue. They even had me speak wit and investigator name Doug (he seems understanding) but up to this day my car still in shop and I'm still paying my policy. I need all the help I can get. Plymouth rock isn't a good company at all and that's acting in BAD FAITH of all us customers. We need for everyone to hear what really happens wit there smaller insurance companies.

My car was hit on 11/22/23. While I was in supermarket buying a turkey. The under insured driver actually hit other parked cars. I contacted Plymouth. Rapid response about getting details and my rental. I was in rental for 14days unaware that the adjuster whom I've never spoke to were going back and forth because he felt like the mechanics wanted too much money..I was instructed to take my rental back and pick up my vehicle and drive it til another auto body shop recommended by the dealership would be able to fix my car. I was told to bring it in on 1/31/24. Now with half my rental days gone the initial paperwork said 3 days to repair. Today is 3/5/24 I still don't have my car from a 11/22/23 accident. Why because Plymouth is slow walking payment and according to the other insurance company paperwork as well..I'm paying for my rental as of 2/11 which I found out from the car rental place.
They had the nerve to notify the car rental agency 3days after they stopped paying for it...and still had to call them. My claim specialist as well as her supervisor has constantly not been transparent. And to date still haven't received a call back after leaving several messages. All the information I have gotten has came from the auto body shop and the claim specialist from the other person insurance. The rep from the other insurance made a comment that they are half baked at Plymouth and I should consider leaving..because it's frustrating for her just communicating with them and it wasn't her car hit so she can only imagine. I need answers Now @Plymouth Rock corporate office. I thought you pay your premium and should anything happen your insurance was there to help you. Just help is that too much to ask for?

I had got car insurance, had gotten into a accident, and I wasn't on my girl insurance. So they sent us a letter saying we did a fraudulent claim. So they was ignorant, no one communicated with us. And when they did they threatened us saying we won't be able to get insurance from nowhere. And when we ask for original paperwork they said no they're not sending it to us, cause we ask what did we do fraudulent and they came with cause she never added me to her insurance. That's all they keep saying. We ask for proof and still haven't sent it.

Terrible... I was alerted in May that Plymouth Rock would be cancelling my insurance due to out of state DL. This was immediately rectified. Company was notified and new in state DL information was provided. Fast forward Oct - I realized my monthly installment fee was not being removed from my checking account. Contacted Plymouth and was assured my account was active and up to date and PAID and no payment would be withdrawn until Jan of 2024 when my policy was set to renew.
As of today 12/14 - Plymouth withdrew $700 from my checking account with 0 notice. Their explanation was it was an error on their part...and I owed the full balance because they did not withdraw the monthly fee - A WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS. This caused my bank to charge me an overdraft as well as my account was wiped out upon Plymouth stated they are not liable for because a letter was issued (not received) 3 weeks ago to alert me to their error and they would be extracting a large sum from my account. I will repeat - A WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS wiping out my account. Unbelievable...

I can’t possibly write everything I’ve been through in the few years I’ve had this bundle policy, so in a few words, I will tell you this company is not only incompetent and unprofessional, but the representatives are beyond rude, and will argue with you when trying to reach a supervisor. After putting you through the ringer, they tell you a supervisor will contact you in 24 to 48 hours and trust me. You will not receive a phone call from anyone. They want you to E sign everything but even when you do they claim they didn’t receive it they go up on your auto insurance every six months that’s just a brief summary. And if you’re looking for a bundle, I wouldn’t look to Plymouth Rock because it’s two separate departments, which makes things so much worse, I should’ve left them six months after choosing them!

Terrible. They upped their policy prices drastically and unjustifiably but won’t explain why. The claims department is even worse, my accident took place on 08/11/2023. The claim agent and the supervisor continue to tell me, "Just wait to hear from us." Why my car sits at repair shop racking up storage charges. They still have not let me know if they are approving my claim or denying my claim. The customer service is horrendous. I spent 30 minutes on the phone waiting for an agent and finally decided just to hang up.
While waiting on the phone the message you get is to to text for assistance - and when that agent responds via text- the message you get is to call their 1-800 number for more assistance (the same one you spend 30 mins waiting to talk to someone). Mind blown. Useless, waste of time. Shop around. There are much better company. This insurance company is fraudulent. Bait & Switch tactics. Raised my Moped Insurance 300% after 1. They will try to rob you blind, lie and take advantage. They are rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. Stay stay...away!!!!

I switched to Plymouth Rock three years ago in search for better rates, but Plymouth Rock is a scam company. They are the worst instance company one can have. I have 3 cars on my auto policy with them, I pay them $4500 (for full coverage) every 6 months on autos, not to mention the home policy. My 2021 car, which is fully covered recently got into a little fender bender and the dealership estimated repairs were $6600. Plymouth Rock estates for repairs were $840. They wanted me to use after-market parts, polish the headlights rather than change them on my 2021 brand-new car and it took them from May 2023 to July 2023 to get the $840 (agents never reply or pick up the phone when you call).

It meant going into their portal and clicking various buttons to get to the “documentation” tab which if you do not log in regularly you’ll never see an update. Unbeknownst to me, they revoked my collision and comprehensive with no email or phone call because I didn’t upload correct documents. Keep in mind this was 3 weeks after having the policy before a single “correspondence” message on there.
In June, about another 3 weeks after this revocation, and me not logging into the portal and thinking everything was fine since I haven’t heard a single thing from them, had my car stolen and crashed. Estimated about $6k in damages. I’m still thinking I’m fine when they call up after the claim and inform me that my coverage was canceled the prior month.
Please go to another company where agents care. I wasn’t informed about docs, nor the pending cancellation, or even the actual date when it was revoked. STAY AWAY. They’re either understaffed and overworked to where they don’t have the resources to keep up or they’re just not ethical in informing about major policy changes.
Coming from Allstate before this, any minor update I had my agent calling me to make sure I was aware. Granted it was bad timing but you could be equally as unlucky (eg the point of insurance). Opt for a better customer experience and go with a better company.

I had a very unpleasant experience with this company. I am a safe driver and I am an physician. They canceled my insurance policy without notifying me because they reported that they could not verify my residency. They were, however, providing me with renters insurance. I was asked by my apartment complex to verify my renters insurance and found that my auto insurance had been canceled without my knowledge. This placed me in a very awkward situation. Had I been pulled over during this time, I would have had a violation which could have potentially resulted in the loss of my medical license.
When I called to rectify the situation I had been informed that my policy had been canceled and could not be reinstated. The company did not show due diligence in attempting to notify me that my policy was being canceled and they canceled it for an extremely ridiculous reason. They put me in legal peril and put my career in jeopardy. I would not recommend or trust this company.

One week after my wife's car was totalled by one of their clients they still hadn't interviewed their own client and established fault. Even after I sent them a video of their client running a stop sign and T boning our Grand Cherokee. They did come up with a settlement figure and would subtract 5000 from it until I arranged to have a salvage yard pick it up. Of course I would also have to pay off the lien to clear the title. Then I would have to pay the storage fees and they would reimburse me up until a set date. Of course with that date there was no way I was going to be able to retrieve the title before. So in other words their client totalled my car then they want me to do all the leg work and all with no rental offered. Filed with State Farm and was done in about 3 hours. Settlement on the way. Jeep gone the next day all done. If I ever see this garbage insurance company again I'll file with mine and Plymouth can go.... themselves.
