    The bright pink app and the name a were enough to draw me in to check things out. I also heard about Lemonade through friends of friends and how great their experiences had been. So, there’s that. How does one insurance company have so many personable knowledgeable all around cool people employed, I don’t know. Many of my questions were addressed via the app, but the ones that weren’t, were answered in rapid response time. Yes, you can get a real person on the phone if you need to get down to the nitty gritty with policy questions or should something happen.     Wednesday morning we had the worstest lightning storm I ever been in. It knocked out three of my TVs. All our cable boxes some of our plugs in our home it burnt trees. It really scared me. I panic. I didn't know what to do so I called my insurance and they had me fill out this list.     First I want to thank Lemonade for being able to pay for my hotel stay for a month while my apartment was and flooded and vandalized. I’m only dissatisfied because my claim is still not finished after two months. I lost everything I had in this situation and now I have nothing to start over with. I appreciate the assistance that I’m getting from my adjuster. I know she is only doing her job. I just feel like I sent all of the information multiple times, police reports and police involved. The policy didn’t say anything about the extra things like contacting my apartment manager is a must before I can get a partial payment. I feel like things could be better as far as customer service.     I started my claim Early June and it was not until Mid December when they finalized the claim. I had over 40k in damages with about 30k in coverage. I used the app to upload pictures and receipts. I had to repeat this process about 3 times because my claim kept deleting. When I finally contacted an associate she said I would be assigned a agent so instead send him the documentation.

    When assigned an advisor he was friendly but he only asked for a list of damages, dates purchased and price. He never asked for pictures and receipts again. 6 months later he told me I was only given restoration credit because I threw away some large damaged items (which the associate said I can throw them away), but my agent did not ask to see smaller items I kept for the claim. I was only approved for 5k. I did everything I was supposed to do but this company did not give coverage like I expected. I will never use this insurance company again and will not refer to family and friends. I will also share my story on social media.

    Firstly, everyone I was in contact to was very empathetic and nice given my apartment had just flooded from a broken pipe at 4AM. But Brett was the best, so fast, nice almost instant replies to emails! I think the only thing I did not like about Lemonade is because I was panicked and didn’t classify in the rather short questionnaire that it wasn’t an emergency, no one could help me to the best of their ability when I felt I needed it most, which was the day of the accident. I feel like there should be someone who is able to change the urgency of claims because I was even able to get the case passed on to someone available. My case was given to someone on holiday for the weekend (and the accident happened on a Friday) which I don’t think it okay for any case, even for non-emergencies.

    I have had Lemonade Renters Insurance since we moved to our apartment in California, so about four years now. I've never had to use it before this past week when we realized that someone broke into our storage unit and stole nearly all of our Christmas collectibles.     I was devastated yesterday when I found out my electric bike had been stolen off the rack on my van. I had actually completely forgotten I had renter's insurance until a friend reminded me, and reminded me that it might cover the theft of my bike.     I wish it hadn't taken so long. And I'm a little bothered by the fact that I increased my plan under the impression my drone would be covered. I would have gotten done insurance. Now I'm out of a drone that cost me about 700. I'll forever be haunted by this. As it seems so unfair and I don't think the guy have me accurate or adequate advice on the insurance relative to my drone.     This was hands down the best experience I’ve ever had with an insurance company. After a theft case (which was genuinely the most traumatic experience of my life) Jose was one of the first people to even say to me “I am so sorry that happened to you. It must be very hard.” When you’ve had a traumatic experience that’s sometimes all you need to hear and no one else I was speaking to and sorting things out with was willing to say that simple sentence. Lemonade showed me empathy. Next, filing the claim was super quick and easy. I was dreading talking to insurance but it really felt like I was talking to a friend that was on my side.     I had several options when quoting for my renter insurance.
