I was involved in a bad robbery where I counted everything as a lost and I reported the claim to you guys and you made the process very simple. My police report, incident statement and receipts got the process completed! I was communicated with throughout the process and made sure everything was accounted for.

I never thought I would actually have to use my renter's insurance for a claim. But, unfortunately I had to and it was so quick and easy! I filed a claim for a pipe leak that destroyed our downstairs couch, and I heard back from Brett within several minutes to help with the filing. I've been with Lemonade almost two years. I recently made my first claim. I am amazed how simple the process is literally a few clicks and they get right to work. We have been using Lemonade insurance for over 3 years. Recently we had a water leak in our apartment from upstairs apartment. Lemonade has a smooth claims process and they helped with accommodation as well as reimbursement for all the damages to our property. All the reimbursement was approved quickly and our claims specialist Stephanie answered all our questions and made sure we had a great experience. We highly recommend lemonade insurance.

I had a disastrous water damage incident in my apartment in the wee hours of the night. Frozen pipes in an above apartment caused water to pour through our ceiling. I am so thankful that I had Lemonade renters insurance. They were immediately responsive to our needs. Thanks to Lemonade we're able to stay in a hotel near our home as the clean up and repairs were done. Our personal belongings which were destroyed were covered in a quick and efficient manner. I recommend Lemonade which was recommended by a friend to me.

When things go wrong, it helps to have someone who’s genuinely concerned and willing to help. I never want to use this but having to do so was refreshingly easy and comforting. From the method of filing a claim to the responsiveness and communication of the person handling my claim I couldn’t have asked for more. I’ve had Lemonade Insurance for years and I plan on keeping them…and hopefully will never have to use them again. However in the chance that I do, I know I’ll be taken care of.

My apartment got flooded and I filed the claim with Lemonade virtually. Process is easy and it only took 10-15 minutes. When my laptop and drone got stolen a few days ago, I was completely lost and stressed about replacing them. I filed a police report & a claim with Lemonade on Friday & a claim rep (Kaleb) had gotten back to me and explained the policy and what was covered & what wasn’t. Unfortunately my drone was not covered because no renter's insurance policy covers drone, which I did not know, but he worked very quickly in approving my claim and issue my payment for the Macbook that I had purchased only a few months ago. I was expecting to only receive what would be market value for the laptop since it would’ve been considered used but to my surprise I got the entire value of what I paid minus my deductible.
The whole process took under 3 days and lemonade came through as I needed them to. At first, I was hesitant purchasing renters insurance through a start up but I have now used them for my current & last apartment and while this is the first time I have had to file a claim, it completely made my choice to purchase a policy through them worth it. I have already recommended them to a couple other friends and family members who rent as well.

I was under the impression that my incident may not be covered and said as much while filing the report, but was pleasantly surprised. 1) It was extremely easy to start a policy and get renters insurance from Lemonade.
2) Their rates were great for coverage provided.
3) Lastly, while no one likes needing insurance they came through when my property was stolen. The process was simple - I just submitted a video and the police case report and the rest of the process was super simple and fast.

We recently had our car stolen from inside our apartment building's garage in San Francisco. The car was oddly returned but all the stuff inside the car-- a total of $2000 in value-- was removed. We filed a claim with Lemonade since our renter's insurance covered the garage inside our building. The process of submitting a claim was extremely easy on the mobile app. Then, we had good communication throughout the process if Lemonade needed any information. In the end, they approved the claim at its full amount. While the car theft was extremely upsetting, Lemonade made the situation much better by ensuring our financial damage was limited.

The process of filing a claim was very simple and clear. After being the victim of a crime where my personal items were taken from me the last thing I wanted was to be battling with an insurance company over the value of my belongings or digging up receipts. I reached out for help from the support team to clear up any points of concern I had and they responded quickly. My claim was submitted, approved and the settlement was deposited into my bank account within 2 days. I could not recommend Lemonade enough at this point and I am so happy that I found it. To anyone who may have read this review, start filing your receipts for important purchases and take photos of gifts that are valuable!

My brand new e-scooter was recently stolen, and after waiting for a the police report I filed a claim with Lemonade. It took about 10 mins to ill out the forms online and then within literally 2-3 minutes they notified me that my claim was approved, gathered my wire transfer info and then I was done! I’m waiting on my refund now! I don’t think it could have gone better so far!

My wife and I were pretty devastated when a pipe burst under out apartment that led to the flooding of almost the entire floor surface, and also damaging several items. We filed a claim through the app immediately, and within only 5 days of putting all the info in, we were sent fund as reimbursement for our damaged items. NO insurance is ever this fast, it usually takes months for a resolution. Adam with Lemonade was attentive and great in assisting us.

Ricardo was extremely helpful in guiding me through the claims process at Lemonade. He diligently followed up and checked in, answered all my questions, and was very friendly and professional in all my interactions with him. Not related to Ricardo, but one suggestion I have for Lemonade is that it would be really helpful if we could file claims from a laptop and not just on the app. My phone screen is small and it’s harder to track the things I’ve uploaded on the app versus if it was on a computer.

Everything is good. The filing process is good too. But you have to download the app to do file a claim. I prefer the traditional filing system which is more organized. The chatting system is easy during the filing process, but looks odd after that.

We were displaced from our home two days before Thanksgiving due to an electrical box fire. The person who took our claim was BEYOND amazing!! We were immediately placed in a very nice hotel and were able to stay the entire time our house was being worked on (31 days). They checked in regularly and literally saved us of the burden of trying to find temporary housing ourselves. I highly recommend Lemonade to everyone!

I worked with Christy to process my claim after my apartment was broken into and she was fabulous. I cannot thank her enough for all her help and support. I was disappointed though that I was unable to claim the full value for a special purse I received as a gift. This was outside of Christy's control, but still frustrating to get minimal value for something that was not only worth a lot, but meant a lot to me. Overall the process, we clear and straightforward, and I was lucky to have pictures of so many of my items that were taken.

This company is a scam. The premiums are low because facts are most ppl never have to file a claim so it’s free money. However if you do have to file they will use ANY and EVERY excuse to deny you. Then say you can pay someone and give them their findings. They also say they don’t benefit from denying claims because they donate to charity. Oh great in my time of need tell me exactly how you can’t help me but no worries you help others. They are callous, unknowledgeable and greedy. Consider yourself warned.

A “leak” in my building led to ruined floors and a weekend hotel stay. I submitted my claim for hotel reimbursement on Friday, spoke with John from the claims team on Monday, and was approved with the money in my account by Tuesday! I also feel the deductible was expensive and all the things I had to go through is the reason I’m looking for another renters insurance. With so much theft and smash and grab robberies happening lately, I ended up falling victim and it was super stressful.. Especially being right before the holidays. I thought Lemonade was overpromising, but was literally blown away by the experience, which is the complete opposite experience one would expect from an insurance company: considerate, empathetic, professional and it's fast! I opened the app, filed a claim in 5 minutes (in what was a delightful and weirdly fun experience). A couple of hours later, a super friendly and professional claims agent called me, we spoke for 2 minutes, and that's it, 5 min later my claim was approved and payment is on the way. After experiencing the most unfortunate tragedy of my life, my landlord decided to send me a bill of $16,000.00 for the biohazard cleaning that took place 7 months ago. I didn't know what to do, but cry. By the grace of God I contacted Lemonade and was assisted by Felicia and Adam. The entire process took about 4-5 days. With no hesitation, they answered all my questions and they assumed the liability for the $16,000.00. They also reimbursed me $9,000.00 for every item lost due to this tragedy. I'm so grateful and highly recommend Lemonade. The reps are so professional and have excellent customer service. I'm considering dumping Healthy Paws and getting Lemonade's pet insurance.

Really enjoyed my experience with Jacklyn B working on my insurance claim (Y'know as much as anyone can "enjoy" having their ceiling collapse while they're out of town). She was attentive and kind and very communicative. Would recommend. Only issue was the turnaround time but I do understand there are a lot of steps involved in a claim.

Actually had a pretty positive experience with Lemonade. When I had questions about the claim process I was able to call customer service and speak to a real person without waiting on hold at all. They answered my questions clearly. When I actually got to filing the claim the process was really straightforward. The interface is very user friendly but it probably could be streamlined a bit-like if you have 1 pairs of the same pants you have to enter each one individually and can't just specify 2 of the same item. Also I'm not sure you could easily edit each item. Overall though, it is straightforward and idiot-proof. Once my claim was submitted, it was paid out in 17 seconds. That was really impressive. I'd say I had a pretty good experience with Lemonade. I'd recommend it for renter's insurance but can't speak to more complex things like home-owner's insurance.

I flooded my kitchen and my downstairs neighbor's apartment as well (oops!). Once I got an agent assigned, Lemonade was quick to tell me what I needed to provide, and once I provided the relevant documentation, paid my claim out the same day. Wow! I was honestly petrified of being on the hook for all the clean-up costs after hearing tons of horror stories with renter's insurance -- no issues at all with Lemonade. 10/10, would recommend!

Making a claim was refreshingly easy and the approval was very quick. In particular, I liked that I was able to make a video describing what happened as that was far easier than typing it all out. The entire process took 3 days. The rep Christy was very good with getting back to me and processing verification of items. The only issues I had were with the initial claim filing. I didn’t like that the system only gives you automatic response options. I also didn’t like that some of the items listed as a loss were not covered because it was jewelry as jewelry is only covered up to $1500 no matter how much the loss was. I did however get a blessing of my deductible waived. My advice is to read your policy backwards and forwards to ensure you know who and what’s covered and what’s not covered. Overall I’m satisfied to have been able to get some of my belongings back but those sentimental items will be gone forever.

Wow, I would never have pictured myself writing a review for an insurance company. But Lemonade is absolutely incredible. I'll start with some background: The story begins with a burst pipe. Water from the pipe gushed into our apartment, flooding everything. We had furniture, clothing, and electronics - pretty much our life. Luckily we documented the incident right from the beginning and took lots of pictures/videos. Long story short, the entire claim process took only 4 days! It was a pretty hefty claim with lots of items but Alex from the Lemonade team was transparent and communicative. Thanks to Alex and the Lemonade team, this disastrous incident is a bit less terrible.

I had the pleasure of working with Alex on my water damage claim. My entire bottom level of my home was wet due to a pipe overhead raining water down on everything in various areas of my home. Alex very quickly assisted me and my family with hotel accommodations and comfort. My claim took awhile to process due to a second leak the very next morning. Lemonade was very prompt and very courteous to me and my family during a terrible September 2021 tornado that came right thru our backyard. On the same day we were hit, I called the insurance and they had set us up in a hotel within less than 2 hrs and paid for the hotel expense. We were receiving constant emails and prompt calls from Lemonade to help us thru our personal belongings with no issues from them. They were very prompt to make sure that the adjuster they sent out did his work and they had us money in our account within 3 days to get our lives back in order. Recently, I was shocked and quite upset to see years worth of Equip ski equipment ripped off out of my truck. Needless to say that weekend was ruined. I felt a range of negative emotions from anger to despair. I filed a police report and went online to file a claim with Lemonade. The process was lightning fast. (Keep your receipts!) Lemonade is re-framing the entire insurance experience. I absolutely love this company. This review here is specific to a claim I placed - and if Katy's real last name is **, she is TOTALLY living up to it. Katy was patient and skilled throughout my claim process, and her communication was superb. She took the extra steps to always make sure that her communication was thoughtful and that she genuinely was an advocate. In my opinion, the best kind of insurance is (1) invisible when you don't need it - and Lemonade truly feels like it...and (2) the opposite when you need to file a claim. All the money that Lemonade competitors pay to advertise how great and caring they are, only to always show their true colors when it's time to support the customer.
Lemonade is the next generation of insurance. You're not tied down to the legacy business practices like your competitors, which gives you such an edge. Thank you for being great. I should mention, I am moving my coverage because of the discount I get on my auto insurance via a bundle, but as soon as Lemonade can cover a Tesla, let me know - if the cost is around the same as I'm already paying - I'll be back the same day!

Lemonade Renters Insurance rocks. Stephanie and Stephanie my claim adjusters that I have two claims in less than a month jumped on it, took care of it and got it down. I wish that I can say that it was over but there was other issues that lemonade just wasn't allowed to help with but I know they could have they would have. Lemonade is always had my back when things got tough or how Scott broke into. This isn't the first time I've dealt with the claims department. I've never had issues with any of the claim adjusters. They've always been very helpful and I would definitely recommend them to anybody for renters insurance or any other. I'm actually getting ready to get my dog Zeto insurance through lemonade as soon as all settles down and my life is cuz I went back to normal.
Once again ladies you guys rock and I wish I could take you out to lunch or maybe a couple of beers but that's not possible so thank you for the bottom of my heart. I hope it's getting up for you. I contacted Lemonade regarding how to start a claim at the request of my Landlords after a hot water heater in the place broke and leaked water everywhere. Thalia contacted me back via email to start the process, I had a lot of questions because I had no idea how this all worked. She was helpful, responsive and super patient with all my questions. I wasn't sure how to do this all via email online without being able to speak to someone but she assured me it was an easy process. It was and they took care of a partial claim before the process has even finished. Wonderful and great communication.

I will start this review with the fact that Nils, supervisor in claims, is a total pro and exceptional at what he does and I hope he knows I said that. Now, that said, I could not be more disappointed with my experience with this claim. My adjuster was rude, didn’t explain things well (which led me to speaking to Nils on a couple occasions), and I feel burned on my payout.
When I filed the one other claim I’ve filed with Lemonade, over 2 years ago, Lemonade was fast with the payout, professional, and overall kind and friendly when I had to evacuate my apartment. However, my adjuster this time around could not have been more unprofessional. Further, the adjuster was extremely slow in her handling of the claim. I did not have my loss payout transmitted to me until over a week after I checked out of my hotel! That is crazy for a company that claims to be agile and “fast” like Lemonade does. I also tried to be conservative in my eating expenses, spending south of 80 dollars for 2 people eating out over the course of 4 days while in a hotel. However, I was given a measly $24 for payout on food expenses.
Even further, my property management told me that my renters insurance should also cover my rent for the 4 days and 3 nights I was forced evacuated from my apartment. My property management company told me this is the first time they’ve heard of a company not covering that. Interestingly enough, I was asked how much my rent is when filing the claim. I feel totally ripped that this amount was also not included. Finally, my MacBook Pro was damaged in the incident. Cracked screen. However, Lemonade did not cover that, so now I have a cracked laptop screen.
This experience so differs from my last (amazing) experience with Lemonade in 2020. Again, I could not be more disappointed in the service I received (aside from Nils) regarding this claim. I have been an ambassador for Lemonade, constantly bragging on the company after the first claim I filed was one of the best customer experiences I had ever been a part of. However, this has all changed, as I feel ripped off and totally burned by this company now.

I love my city but unfortunately Chicago has been experiencing lots of carjacking and overall violence & theft that I never thought I’d fall victim too. My overall experience was okay (would give a 3.5 star, but rounded up). I made a claim back at the end of Oct'21. The claim portion was fairly easy for the most part, my only frustration was I had a lot of questions as to how the whole process works. I feel like they would have been answered clearly if I got to speak with an actual human. The frustrating part was the lack of communication once the claim was submitted. I only received two emails of the course of two months both saying my claim was still in review. It wasn't until I actually reach out myself to inquire about what was going on and got Christy, did I get good service. Once I connected with her, everything went very smoothly and fast. She let me know everything I needed and how to send. It sucks because this case could have been closed awhile ago, but I am glad I was able to finally get someone to help and they were good at their jobs!

First I'd like to mention that I'm not an easy person to deal with when I am upset. I sometimes feel that everybody is out to get me and for a moment I put Katy in those shoes. Katy made it exceptionally easy to deal with. She reached out by phone and explained the claims process as well as set expectations. Overall, I am satisfied with the outcome of the claim and turned out much better than I had hoped for. These speaks for both Katy, and Lemonade as an insurance group.

Lemonade settled my claims within 7 days and Alex made the whole process seamlessly easy while she keeps on reassuring me that once all requested information is submitted, they will act on it. This gives me more confidence to continue using the Insurance company because the water damaged happens at a point that I am financially struggling being a festive period. I feel like I want to press a class act or some type of discrimination lawsuit against Lemonade because every time I had a claim they treated me like I was a bargain. I had to accept bare minimum and then they told me when my policy was up that they were not going to do business with me anymore and the reasoning being has to be discrimination.

Ok so I am very happy that you helped me as much as you could but I am still not completely satisfied, one my policy was changed but I did not make the change, 2 my landlords property that I rent from is connected to him. My policy was supposed to come $100,000 damages to where I was staying which Included my landlords floors and walls. His stuff added up to $14,000 and I am being stuck with having to pay it or I am going to be thrown in jail over this. I tried for weeks to get in contact with anyone to have this fixed but I have not been able to. Come to a conclusion yet and I can't move back into the place due to owning $14,000 to my landlord for damages.
I am in need of assistance for a temp apartment not a hotel for about a month then I can get back on my feet and have my business going so please can someone that can listen and understand where I'm coming from help me. I have until the 12th of this month until they charge me criminally for his damages and I get put in jail and I will have to get my lawyer involved on Monday if I do not get a resolution to this like asap. But besides that I'm happy AND would recommend you to anyone I see. Thank you.

Need more improvement. They are really business person. My experience is good but they must see more feedback and see the customer issue. Try to solve in no time. Customer care are good at work. Company should take review over the present policies and have a good discussion over board of members (must include customers also those who are interested to participate in the "Golden Meeting").

In late December last year, a drain pipe leaked in my bedroom and closet. I called Lemonade and easily got in touch with a representative. She guided me the process and informed me a case advocator will be assigned to me. Alexis is the advocator, and she got in touch the very next day. The information Alexis asked for was straightforward. As soon as I submitted the claim, Alexis put the report together right away and got it approved within hours. I recently had to file a claim for a stolen personal item and was extremely happy with the whole process and how helpful Sasha, from the claims team, was throughout the entire claim. Even though they required a police report. Lemonade actually approved my claim before I submitted it and processed my payment fairly quickly once the claim had been approved. The one caveat is that I wish they had given me the option to chose a lower deductible. Overall, I'm very happy with their service and recommend it.

Every time someone files an insurance claim is because something negative has occurred. Adam, who worked on my claim, was helpful and sympathetic to what I was going through. The date of my water damage was Christmas Day, so I believe the holidays delayed it slightly. The entire process took about 9 days, which was helpful in getting me situated quickly.

My home flooded and I lost everything due to black mold. Lemonade insurance was there for me in my darkness time. I have two small children so you can only imagine.
