8/26/2024 - I mailed the claim, including the long-form death cert.
9/2/24 - Fidelity received the claim form.
9/9/24 - I contacted Fidelity to find out the status. This is how I found out the claim form was received on the 2nd. No confirmation from them prior to this. I was told they had everything they needed, and it would take 7 - 14 days to process.
9/19/24 - I called again to find out status. This is when I am told that a social security number is needed. No prior communication from Fidelity indicating the need for additional info. I wonder when they would have notified me if I hadn't followed up. The requested SS# was provided on this date. I was told to submit via email, and I would receive an automated acknowledgment. The acknowledgment never happened.
9/23/24 - Since I did not receive the represented acknowledgment, I phoned again and confirmed the requested info was received on the 19th. I was quoted 7 - 10 business days for processing.
10/1/24 - Having heard nothing, I called for an update. I was told everything was received and that the claim would be paid, but no indication as to when. I was then given a song and dance about how Hurricane Helene was slowing things down. This is a death benefit claim, not a property claim and Fidelity's claim office is on Florida's EAST coast. I'm on Florida's WEST coast which is where the hurricane traveled. I was not given any more info on when I can expect payment.In short, Fidelity has been formally aware since 9/2/24 that the policyholder died. They have failed to communicate promptly or accurately regarding status and process. I am, at this point, concerned that the foot dragging is a deliberate attempt to hold onto the funds as long as possible which is a benefit to them and NOT the claimants. The deceased intended the money to be paid out to the beneficiary and NOT Fidelity. Buy your life insurance elsewhere if you wish the beneficiaries to receive a prompt payout.

I had a Fidelity Life policy, and that made me get another one. They came out, walked us through everything and answered all the questions. They broke everything down and let me understand it, so I went with the best option. They handled everything that I needed them to handle too. They were really good, and I'd tell people to join up. It was easy.

I had life insurance a long time ago where I was at my work, then I got Fidelity Life just in case something happened, so my kids get something extra. Fidelity Life looked at everything and said, "Oh, you don't need to get an exam." Two months later, they sent me a thing saying, "You have to get an exam." I didn't care, but I had to take off of work to get that done, which was freaking annoying. Another thing is I got quoted for the life insurance, then they raised the price. However, I shopped around and all the companies did the same thing. They used a freaking dollar store machine and said, "Oh, your blood pressure is high. That's why we're charging you more per month." They just wanna do that to charge me more of a higher price. If they look at all my charts, they'll know that's false. My blood pressure is not high, and when I go to the doctor, they say, "Your blood pressure is absolutely perfect."

I liked the person that I spoke to at Fidelity. I liked his ability to describe the product and answer all the questions that I had. It was something about his enthusiasm. It seemed very genuine, which is a big deal. Initially, I wasn't sure that I wanted to go with the policy, but I needed something. Being laid off, I didn't have the insurance through my work like I normally have. I've never gone this long without working, but I've never had cancer before either.
Thankfully, I don't have it anymore. It's been a year almost, and I've been through chemo, the surgery and radiation. I still have five more treatments left, but the bulk of it is behind me so my journey is almost over, and I should be finished on December 30th of 2024, which would mean I would go into 2025 in full remission. I mentioned it to the rep, and he was very respectful and genuinely compassionate without being over the top. I felt good about getting a policy with Fidelity. There were no surprises and there was clarity and transparency when they were explaining their product.

I got Fidelity mostly for security 'cause my health isn't that good. I feel more secure having the life insurance. The price is okay and they take it out of my checking account. The reps are good as well.

So far, Fidelity Life has been good. Theirs was the most reasonable price and the rep didn't pressure me into getting anything. She gave me all the information I needed and gave me time to think about if I wanted to go with Fidelity or not. I feel great about having it, knowing that if anything happens to me, I'll be able to leave my children something.

I reached out to a few providers before I reached out to Fidelity and they were the ones that broke everything down for me so that I could understand it. Signing up wasn't quick, but it was easy. The rep was very friendly and helpful. He also reached out to me a few times after I acquired the policy. So far, it's been good. I like the policy and the amenities of other things I could use it for. I have to reach out to them because I'm supposed to have a doctor screening.

When I quit my job and went to another job, they didn't supply life insurance. So, I'm now without one, so I needed to get some more. Fidelity Life was offered to me through matches. They came out to be the lowest priced one. My agent was very friendly and seemed nice and he was able to answer my questions. I didn't have too many questions except the price. I'm now working a lower job and he was able to get me a price in which I could afford and which was feasible for me. I feel better now that I have the insurance because I was worried that my family would have to find the expenses because, unfortunately, my mom passed away and she didn't have life insurance and it was a headache for us to find something to be able to bury her. We have to go out of town, do paperwork, and all these other things and I didn't want my family to have to go through that.

I'm very upset with Fidelity Life. Initially, they said I would get one thing, and then they didn't even call me and tell me that they lowered my coverage. So, I'm gonna be looking for other coverage because I thought that was very deceitful. They said they'd be sending me a permanent packet in the mail. When I was looking at it, that was how I found it. It's supposed to be 500 in coverage, but I ended up with 150 in coverage. I wouldn't have switched because I already had 250. Working with the sales agent was fine, and then once you sign up, it's crooked.

We have a trust and they went through Fidelity. Then there was an advertisement about the Fidelity insurance which I got in the mail. It worked really well with their sales agent.

I had an awesome experience with the Fidelity Life agent. They went above and beyond to get what I needed. The rates are very affordable and they got me the best rate any other insurance company could have gotten. The signup process was not hard at all. All I had to do was sign some forms, DocuSign. I am very satisfied with Fidelity. I would recommend them 100% for any kind of savings, life insurance and banking.

The sign up process was easy. It was not quick, as signing up for life insurance for anything really isn't quick because it's a lot. But it was pretty simple. It was very user-friendly.

I was on the Progressive website and I called, and the agent was shopping for the lowest price and Fidelity was the one. It was super weird how I got it but it worked out. The rep was great and super-responsive. The only problem was that we submitted all the paperwork and it kicked back another form for my daughter that I had to fill out, and they sent it to him, and I got the second form again from my daughter. I'm paying the rate, so I'm assuming it's for my daughter and I. I don't even know at this point and I've tried to reach out.
I was disappointed because instead of the insurance being the lower monthly rate for the higher percentage of life insurance, I had to go with a lower rate with a lower percentage of the insurance. I provided additional documentation for my actual OBGYN and it still came back low. I was informed that if I wanted to bump up my life insurance to 500,000, I would have to submit my yearly exam for it to possibly be reevaluated for a higher rate or a higher amount. At least the rep was super informative and was able to help me. He was dynamite. He was just working off of what he had and it so happened to be not what I expected, which wasn't any fault to him. But we talked about it and he said everything is good, so it is what it is.
My expectations were higher. It just so happened that one of the test results that I got was lower than the doctor expected. And it was only because either I ate too much the night before and it transferred over into the testing the next day or my body was just going through shock because you can't eat or drink anything and then you take that test. It was almost 9:30 when I took that test too. So, she wasn't happy about the number. I had to retake the test. And when I gave the agent my retake of the test, it canceled out. it didn't come into play because they had already seen the bad test result first. It was just for female hormones, so it wasn't anything bad. Overall, it was a pleasurable experience, because I've never done anything like that over the phone and I was kind of shocked that it was something you could do over the phone.

I'm in my 30s now, and I feel that having a life insurance is something that’s necessary in life. I have something through my job with Fidelity, and I decided to give them a call to see if they offered life insurance. The rep was very informative, helpful, and dependable, because there were times I called after we spoke and signed up, and she was there. She always answered or called me back. I've got three kids at home, a wife and a stack of bills. Being a solo income household led me to realize that if something were to happen to me, I need to leave something behind to make sure my family is taken care of. Fidelity Life was one of six life insurance companies that I spoke to over about a week and a half of research time, and they seem to have the most comprehensive offering as far as how detailed they were on what my policies would offer and what the living and death benefits were. A lot of insurance companies didn't take the time to explain everything thoroughly, but Fidelity Life did. The signup process took about a week and a half, and the reps were super upbeat and very knowledgeable. They were also forthcoming with every question that I asked and they were always available via phone and email when I needed to speak to them.

A broker said Fidelity Life had the better prices for what I was looking for premium-wise. They were very friendly, welcoming, and honest. Ryan and I talked on a Friday, and he said, "You'll have an answer by Tuesday.” By Monday afternoon at 11:00, he said, "You're approved. They're gonna call you and schedule an appointment for a blood draw and a basic weight and height assessment.” It was two weeks ago. Right away, they approved it. Quick and easy. Fidelity is the easiest one I've been through.
I had a call today. I thought it was a little late. It was three months ago. She talked about a CT scan from two years ago. But she wanted to know if I had received the answers. I guess it takes a while to get your physician's records. And they said that I had an order of CT abdomen from 2022 and had I gotten it completed. I was, "It's completed. It was negative. It was normal.” And that was it. She was, "Okay. Thank you." And call ended.
Being diagnosed with anxiety, which was a short-term diagnosis affected my premium significantly. I'm a registered nurse. So, I have an issue with that. Because 48% of US has anxiety at some level. So, I'm highly bothered by that. I don't have depression, but I expect the depression to work the same way. They quote these diagnoses at just one standard. But it should be tiered. Are you an anxiety level one? Mild, moderate, severe and quote it then. Because I said, "I haven't been on anxiety meds for three, four months.” They said, "It doesn't matter. Just the fact that you got diagnosed with it at any point." It tripled my premium. A total of five months, I had anxiety. I got treated. I took meds. I've had 43 years of no diagnosis, and for three months, I had to pay three times the cost of a normal person. Had I bought this six months ago, I wouldn't be paying this crazy premium for the same plan.

I had a few questions and the gentleman from Fidelity Life answered it perfectly. He took all the questions, and he was respectful and polite. It was very satisfying. It was a simple process. There's a peace of mind that my family is protected. And there is somewhat money if something happens to me, and accidents do happen. I may not need the policy at all. But who knows? That's why these policies are there.

Fidelity Life called and told me they'd offer me a bigger amount of insurance for less price than Mutual of Omaha was giving me. The rep’s offer was better than what I had so I took it. He was a cool guy but he was a little better than average. The sign-up process was long but it was alright. I'm younger now, so the price is probably a little less than what it would have been if I signed up later. It's good to have insurance and it’s something I thought I should do. If you want more coverage for a lower price, Fidelity is where I would go.

Fidelity Life was easy to work with. The agent I worked with was good and helpful. He was friendly. I was impressed with his approach. He wasn't annoying like most customer service agents are. He was just cool. I feel fine having the coverage. Our future is good and healthy, but it's a backup to make sure my family is taken care of. I'm retiring from the Air Force soon, so I wanted to make sure I had Fidelity.

I'm a member of AARP and they recommended Fidelity Life. It was easy enough to do but after I got it and saw what they do with their prices, I decided that it isn't for me. The price starts out at 40 something dollars a month but by the time I'm 70, it's up $600 a month that's why I'm in the process of cancelling it.

Fidelity Life's sales rep was very good. She explained to me that the policy kicks in right away and you don't have a waiting period. That sold me on it right there. So far, the coverage is not enough for what I'm paying. But it's that way anywhere you go now.

At my job, I am in a 401(k) with Fidelity but I stopped them from taking it out because it looked like I was losing money. But I knew that Fidelity was legit. It was no gimmick. And since I didn't have any life insurance on me and my kids, I went with Fidelity for life insurance. I got everything together, got everything done, and I don't have a problem. Signing up was very easy. I love them. The representatives that I had were very on point and very professional. They answered all my questions. And if they couldn't answer, they did get back to me as they promised and everything is good. They take care of my needs.
One thing I called about was my daughter's policy. I don't see where it's coming out of my bank account on my statements. I thought they weren't taking it out, but when I contacted them, they said it was being taken out. I always see my and my younger daughter's, but I don't see where they're taking my oldest daughter out. I don't see it on my statement. As far as the coverage, it was on point. It fit my budget and it was well worth it.

It's very easy to sign up with Fidelity Life and it's a very affordable policy. The rep answered all my questions and was very helpful. We were on the phone for quite a while 'cause he was making sure that I have the correct policy that I needed. I applied for it and within an hour or two, the agent had called me and got me set up within 30 minutes. It was very quick.

I like the ease of application and the process with Fidelity. They were very easy to work with. I spoke with one sales agent and I liked their willingness to help me set up the medical exam, have them come to my house, and email me updates. For the medical exam, they sent someone right to my house. They also got me set up with the online access to the website. However, they have some downtime every night on the website where you can't access documents between certain hours. That's a bit cumbersome. But overall, I like Fidelity and would use them again. If I had any additional insurance requirements, I would definitely go to them first.

Fidelity is a better brand and it's been there for years and years. I think they're really good and high quality. They wanted me to work for them a long time ago, but I couldn't because I had kids. And when I found out about their company, I was like, "Wow. These are really great people." What they did was honest, and if somebody needed their policy, they fulfilled it. I want to be able to protect my family, and I trusted them. The price is reasonable and affordable. The process was to the point, and all the forms that I had to fill out were all electronic. So, the whole process is probably 30 minutes. It was really easy. It was all on the phone, and the rep walked me through the steps and processes. He was nice and personable.

Progressive recommended Fidelity and signing up was easy. The rep was knowledgeable and helpful. She was able to tell me what I would qualify for and what was available for me in my state. I originally was applying for universal life insurance, but she said it wasn't available. She recommended me to do a term fit to my age then when I get older, I can apply for a whole life. I like that there's a variety of options available at different rates. That is very helpful.

Fidelity Life was the first company that I spoke with and I went with them. It was an easy and seamless process to sign up for, and I was given a policy fairly easily and quickly. I got the coverage to cover my family in the event that an unfortunate incident happens. I've never really had an issue to where I've had to use them, but the person that I spoke with has been easy to work with.

I wanted to get extra coverage for my daughter and I started researching it and went with Fidelity Life. First, I signed up for a million-dollar policy and then I decided I didn't need that much coverage. So, I tried to lower it to a quarter million and people were telling me that this policy was canceled, and then other people were telling me that I have to email something in for that. I spoke to about a dozen people overall and I heard very different things from everyone. And then, people would say, "Okay, just hold on and I'm gonna transfer you to so and so." I was put on hold waiting, and then somebody would answer and not know who I was. It was terrible. At one point, I asked for a manager. I talked to one lady and she said they didn't have managers. Multiple times, I got on the phone and was being transferred around for 40 minutes and finally just giving up or running out of time to discuss stuff.

The rep was very helpful in trying to help me get the insurance with Fidelity. The approval process was so easy and simple that I didn't even know I was approved. I called and they told me it was approved a couple of days ago. Everybody was very helpful and the customer service is outstanding. Plus, the price is great. It's a good feeling to have life insurance and people should consider Fidelity because I didn't have to go through a lot to get it. In most places, you have to go through so much and jump through so many hoops to be able to get it. So, I would recommend Fidelity.

I went through Progressive and they recommended Fidelity Life because that was the best rate for the best plan. There were a bunch of different ranges of coverage and I picked what I wanted. The signup was pretty easy and it was something that I really didn't have to worry about. It was lengthy -- it took a little bit to do the review and then the doctor appointment thing, but it wasn't hard at all. Also, the approval process was simple and easy.

I just called the number on the mailout, spoke with someone who is very kind and patient and got it all started that way. He was wonderful. He answered all my questions. My tongue and cheek were swollen on Mother's Day. I was going to take a nap. But my daughter forced me to go to the urgent care. When I got there, they told me that if I had slept, I would not have woken up. I did not know it was an allergic reaction. So they rushed me from the urgent care to the ER. When I woke up that morning, I said, "Anything could have happened yesterday. So let me just take out the life insurance." I want to make sure my daughter is secure if I die which is what led me to get life insurance.
The Fidelity person I spoke to was very good and helped me a lot. I feel good about it. I think it was a good choice for me. If anybody needs a life insurance, they should check Fidelity because their customer service is good.

Fidelity's reps made the consultation process easy. It was just a phone call. It was really easy and quick. The approval process took a little bit longer. I had to go through medical exam for underwriting, and they got that done quickly. They came to my house. That made it easy as well.

My experience with the sales agent was pretty good. It was a bit long, but I understand being a new customer that they have an extensive amount of questions to ask. But other than that, it was decent. But I didn't know there was gonna be a test because all my friends and family members that also have life insurance never got tested. So, I thought that was different but the test went pretty fast. The girl that came to test me was very professional. It's been smooth so far and I feel a little bit more at ease if something was to accidentally happen to me, at least my child would have something, which is the reason why I got it.

The guy from Fidelity Life who came in told me a quote and I went with them. He was nice. He said he looked at other insurance things and he said that they were about the best one that I could get. The overall signing-up process took about 20 minutes. He said I was approved right away. I feel a whole lot better having the insurance. I know I could be taken care of when the time comes.

I had some health issues and needed to go with a company that would be accommodating. The agent with Fidelity was very friendly and helpful. However, the process was long. Fidelity has reasonable prices and everything comes with the package. They responded quickly and walked me through the process, the benefits and the premium. I was new to this, so I had a lot of questions but they explained to me patiently. The approval process was quick as well. I didn't have to do much other than a medical exam. But when I got approved, my premium went up $10 a month from what was discussed with them in the beginning. I asked if it was because something was wrong with the medical exam ‘cause that was the only thing I was waiting for. They said nothing was wrong with it. We went back and forth and they went back to the additional quote. I feel safer ‘cause now that I have it. If something happened, my little ones are covered.

I was with another insurance before, for years, and the agreement was for an $85,000 policy. I never opened the policy when I got them and when I checked one day, they were going to give me a policy for $3,500 and my wife for $10,000 for almost the same amount. That's why I decided to go to another provider. I just started with Fidelity and so far, so good. I got the policy, opened those envelopes, and I got what I paid for. So I'm okay.

Fidelity Life's rep made me feel comfortable with obtaining the life insurance policy that I have. He explained the options first, then I told him what I was looking for, and he gave great detail into the ones that he was explaining. So I chose a particular policy. He went into detail about what I was getting and what I would expect because I was asking questions also about the insurance. The process wasn't long, but it wasn't short and he wasn't trying to sell me. Right now, I'm learning about life insurance because I know it's not something you just sign up for then you get a check. There are stipulations to it. But it has given me peace of mind with the policy I have and I got more on my policy than I would have with Aflac.

I wanted to get the million-dollar coverage from Fidelity Life. I have to do a health screening and they want my blood, and I'm not doing that. So, I just switched back to the basic life insurance. They don't have to take my blood. I find it a little strange that they want my blood. I was gonna cancel all together with them over that fact. With the basic one, the guy that I set up the life insurance with said that I was gonna have to take a physical exam and a drug test. I was cool with those two tests. I'm just not giving my blood to anybody. The guy did well. He knew his stuff for the most part, but he didn't explain the blood test. That would have been a deal breaker right off the top.

They were the cheapest so I chose to work with them. The agents were friendly, courteous, and they were good at their job. The only thing I didn't like is I wanted a whole life insurance but Fidelity only can offer accidental death. I'm a little concerned that if something pre-existing happens or something like that, my family won't be able to bury me if it's not accidental. Also, they could shorten the process. Overall, it took three phone calls and almost two hours.

I'm somebody who is very detailed, so I would ask what other people would think was a stupid question. But I take nothing for granted. Even though it might be obvious, I still want an answer. If he didn't know an answer to a question and he said he was going to call me back, he did. After we did the phone interview and we went through everything, he said he was going to call me back. You normally get an email to see whether you're approved or not. But he's still calling his clients to give them the good news or the bad news. With me asking the amount of questions that I asked, the sign up process took us 45 minutes to an hour, which wasn't long.
With Fidelity Life, I can rest easy. My health is pretty good and there's some amount of comfort knowing that should I die prematurely, and I'm hoping I don't, I have done the responsible thing to do. Since I waited so long until I'm this old to get the insurance, the prices were a little on the higher side. But the coverage is good. Also, Ryan was excellent and everybody should use him. He put my mind at ease. A lot of people were just reaching out to me about getting the insurance, so I was a little skeptical with all their questions. But he said if it was going to make me feel better, as soon as I got off of the phone with him, I didn't have to give him any information, I could call Fidelity Life and ask them to transfer me to him. So instead of him calling me, I could call him.

Fidelity Life seems like a good company but the agent who sold me this policy didn't give me what I wanted and didn't tell me that it was going to be a 30/70 split. He didn't even mention that. I wanted a 100 grand in term life insurance and I got the policy in the mail probably a week after everything got settled. And it turned out that I got $30,000 in term life insurance and $70,000 in accidental death insurance. The rep told me it was $100,000 in term life insurance and that was not what I received. My husband just got hired on to a new job and once he gets all the benefit information, if they ask for life insurance, I'm switching.

The rep told me the insurance coverage goes up to 90 something years but it seems like it's only 15 years so I need to see if I can change that to 25 years. I switched to Fidelity because of that reason.

It's important to have life insurance. I had situations where family members passed away and they didn't have it. It was difficult coming up with the money for funeral costs. I don't want that to happen if by chance something happens to me. I wanted to be stable. I signed up with Fidelity Life and my lady was great. She walked me through it and was patient with me. She made the process easy.

At first, I didn't feel comfortable signing up for any sort of life insurance because I was too young and I got so much life to live. So paying money ahead of the road seemed a little bit more like a waste of money for me. But the more I talked to the rep for Fidelity, the more she helped me understand that this isn't just a cushion. This is so much more than that. It's not for me. It's for my family and loved ones. Because of that interaction, I went from a selfish perspective into a selfless perspective. So a lot of thanks to Kimberly.
Fidelity Life was not only affordable, but they were also willing to work a lot with me just over the phone. I did the phone call stuff for over two hours. Because I live such a fun and energetic life, there was a lot of paperwork to go into it. Out of all the places that I looked into and was recommended, Fidelity Life was the most accepting and understanding. It brought so much confidence that my family would be supported. I'm not gonna be around to know what happens if I'm gone but because I love them so much, I wouldn't want them to resort to anything out of the ordinary. I want them to keep living their best life.

The process wasn't the best. I still haven't gotten a hard copy of paperwork and I don't even know if my wife signed up on her account yet. I know I did. But I don't know if she got an email or not.

Fidelity was the best product we found so we went with them and the signup was very easy. The guy that helped us was great to work with and very friendly. For the approval process, I had to have the exam but my husband didn't and I thought that would be like a whirlwind but it went smooth and easy. I feel good about this product and I feel secure if anything were to happen.
