We had term life insurance thru Allstate. After 20 years they dropped us completely. They wouldn't renew the policy but we was offered to turn it into a policy that pays 1/4 of what we had for more money. We turned them down but they told us we couldn't get any insurance because we was told. We was just hitting 50. They didn't offer us anything that was for 20 years if we knew that we would have put it in the bank.

Filed an accident insurance claim for me and my daughter and it was not easy. The claim was filed in April and I still haven't got paid out. We were both involved in the car accident, but since I was not listed as a passenger, they would not pay me. They stated I needed to get the officer who wrote the report to rewrite it. Yea. Good luck with that. In the meantime my car insurance company paid my out over $5000 for this same accident just by submitting bills. Canceling this insurance as soon as I get the $500 they owe me. Ridiculous. Aflac was much better.

I had an accident on 2/1/2017. I have sent several emails and faxes regarding my bills that need to be paid. I been calling and getting the run around regarding my claim. Adjuster is never in the office to work the claim. It's been over 4 months and they have said they haven't receive anything. I am leaving to move out of state on June 30th and I needs results and claim worked. It is 4 people on the claim and 1 person has already got paid, while the other 3 people is still in waiting mode. We all getting the runaround and no one is never in the office. My next step is getting a lawyer for emotional distress of not receiving emails and faxes and not able to contact adjuster. It's been 4 months too long that the claim has been open.

Have called Jennifer ** several times about my claims not being handled. My accident happen in 02/02/2017. It is now the MID June. They claim they are not getting my medical records. I contacted my doctor's office and they have documentation they have fax, mailed and send in my claim and medical, not getting it. I talk to Megan on 06/08/2017. She told me they are getting only half the fax coming in, well come to find out it's on their end. My doctor office all their cover letter stated how many pages were sent and when it was sent.
Call and call and no manager or supervisor wants to take my call at this point. It was 4 people in the accident. Out of the 4 one person claim has been paid and closed out while me and the other two ladies are in limbo. They are not good at calling back and my claims person which is Jennifer ** is never in office. She's always out. I am at the point where I need to get a attorney to get my bill paid because I'm receiving bills, bills, bills on this matter.

My experience with Allstate Long Term Care has been very negative. The customer service is nonexistent, as I had to report them to Indiana Department of Insurance just to get a return call from our adjuster. Currently, the issue is they are denying a facility, that meets my father's contract verbiage exactly. Allstate approved this facility verbally five time. They now are denying benefits, stating, Quote "We have changed our minds!" They have made many outrageous statements, even stating a pre approved facility (written) would be denied! This company practices deceptive methods and is committing Elder Abuse. I will be taking this fight to the top. I would like to collect other stories and attempt a Class Action Law Suit!

I just came across an old whole life insurance policy my father had with Allstate since the late 60's. So I thought I would read some reviews on the kind of policy this was as well as customer’s comment and thoughts into the company. I stated at the beginning of the reviews around early March 2016 or 2017. It's what caught my eye and I wonder if it caught anyone else's. Well the first 12 to 14 comment were total complaint on the company's performance, tactics, all around misleading the customer. These complaint have no stats to maybe one on one complaint. And the first 12 to 14 are submitted every few week, even up to a couple of months apart. There might be two complaint that are a day apart and this spreading over 4 to 6 months.
Then the next 14 to 29 comment are all compliments. But the strange thing that caught my eye. Was these are all five start, literally one day after another and a few of the days have 2 & 3 compliments the same day. But as soon as a few complaints come in weeks apart. Well here comes back to back compliment day after day for a month straight. Hell there three compliments posted on xmas and two on new year. I don't know about anyone else but I sure am not gonna be worried about posting, especially on xmas.
I'll do that after the holidays. It might be nothing or maybe it me. But I just found that to not look right. So anyone who is gonna take the time to read the comment don't do fooled if those compliments happen to be fake and misleading. I haven't even talk to an agent in regards to my father’s policy that he got in 1967. I'm going straight to our attorney. Because I can see were my father who passed 28 years ago, will get the shaft, even after being in the grave. Hope I didn't bore anyone. Keep up the good work on pounding them with the compliant, there will never be enough of it. Sorry to those who got the shaft and didn't see it coming.

We had a universal plan (Voya) that was underfunded and ran out! And we didn't receive anything from them until it was about to run out! So we thought we would apply for life insurance as we have our auto, home, camper, golf cart all through Allstate for many years! We applied in January and just got a call last week on 4-18 that we are being accepted but with a 35% increase because they say I have health problems and have reason to believe that they consider me a smoker! What??? They are putting me in the smokers category with the highest percentage! I go to the VA for all my medical because I am a Vietnam vet! My doctor has never once said anything to me that I had health problems and I am not on any medications and I have never smoked outside of a few years ago having a cigar, like when my great grandson was born, that's it, now I guess I am considered a smoker!
They want money!! I have never smoked a cigarette in my life!! Allstate went back 5 years on my medical records and nitpicked and pulled apart my records (who does that?). Anything that was even said 5 years ago!! My doctor said for a 69 year old man I am in good health outside of being overweight and she said I need to lose a few pounds! I am being treated unfairly by Allstate and I am considering pulling everything away from them! It's the principle! My blood pressure was taken by ExamOne. 120/80 and 124/80. They put me in the red and said it is a concern? What?? My doctor said these are very good readings?? So go figure!! They said it should be below 120/80!!? I am not paying 35% more for being healthy!
Now I am looking elsewhere!! These people are so unfair. It's not a good feeling! You are not in good hands with Allstate! It took 3 months to hear back this news? What were they doing all this time??? This is how I feel about Allstate now and this is how they treat veterans trying to get life insurance! Oh and by the way all Vietnam vets were exposed to Agent Orange!! Through no fault of their own!! Thanks Allstate!!
Updated on 05/09/2017: This is the follow-up on a previous review from a Vietnam veteran whose life insurance was increased 35% by Allstate! I called Allstate for a letter confirming the reasons why the increase so I could take the letter to my VA doctor to go over the medical problems that Allstate says I have!! The girl did say they are not doctors! I needed something in writing!! Allstate refused to send me the letter. Says it's not their policy!! I was on the phone with them a good 15 minutes. Still said NO, not their policy. This is about me!!! I deserve this letter. I wasn't expecting a hard time from them over a letter. I guess they don't put anything in writing so they can't be held accountable, and I told them that. The communication is really bad with them! I never received anything in writing from them ever, just a phone call! Must be a reason for this wouldn't you think?? I'm still fighting this. Wish me luck!

I've had an Allstate Short Term Disability Policy for over a year and recently I had to undergo surgery. First, I was declined for my accident policy 'rider' which meant I would not be reimbursed for my hospital stay and/bills (all of which my agent assured me I could file a claim for). Second, after filling out all the paperwork including statements from my doctor and employer, the Claims Department continues to email me that I am missing paperwork. Lastly, claims is suppose to take 10 to 15 days to be complete but that is simply not true. It is highly unlikely that after being out of work for three months I will see any payments before I return to work.
Today I found out my claim cannot be completed until my employer sends them a return date which they will not know for sure until after my doctor clears me the end of this month. This company is a SCAM!!! I have had Allstate for over 10 years for car and life insurance. I felt it would be fine to use them for Short Term Disability, Accident, and Cancer insurance. I think I may have made a huge mistake. Please people shop around before choosing Allstate... you will be sorry.

Allstate Disability Insurance - Signed up in Dec 2016. Had Heart bypass surgery in Feb 2017 - never had any problems before that. Had all my doctors and hospitals fill out and send in forms. Keep getting letters from Claims saying they need additional info from doctors or hospital - or never received anything - I got fax confirmation pages. Unable to reach Claims dept to speak directly - have to use customer service - which doesn't have all the info. No matter what I send - they always need something else. Been almost 2 months - no closer to having claim processed than the day I filed it. NEVER buy into this scam!!! Would give them 0 stars if possible. My husband and I bought this policy in December of 1991. We have paid $83.42 per month since then. Our planned annual premium is $1,001.04. My husband was insured for 100,000 with a year of expiry or maturity date of 2053. I was an additional insured rider with $50,000 policy with year of expiry or maturity 2024. This means we have paid just over $24,000 over the last 16 years and we are now told that the policy will expire in April 2017 when my husband is 59 years of age. We were never told to increase our payments. And the cash value as of December 7, 2016 is $364.72. DO NOT BUY ANY INSURANCE FROM ALLSTATE. Have totally been ripped off. I would have been better off to bank the money over the years. I cannot understand how they legally can get away with this. Apparently I am told our premiums did not cover the costs. I still do not understand why. I should have cancelled years ago. Sorry to have been taken for a fool.

My mom's life policy - after I paid for life insurance with Allstate 30 years Allstate said they sent me notification that I didn't have enough money in the policy to pay yet they've had my banking account number 30 years taking the premiums out of my account. I never received any notice. They said they sent it to my address that I had been living there for eight years yet I never received notice. Allstate insurance company is a ripoff and I know this for a fact because I sold insurance for them for 5 years and it made me sick to my stomach when I saw some of the tactics they used to get out of paying their clients.

I'm on here writing a review on behalf of my mother Dorothy. Allstate is a freaking rip off! The agent Mr. A. ** sold her a universal policy August 1, 1993 and told her that the premium would not go up and needless to say it did because it was actually a flexible (adjustable) policy and on top of that the maturity age they typed on the policy was 95 years old! My mother had no knowledge of the age that the agent listed on the policy and the fact that she was a smoker at the time doesn't make any sense. Who the hell lives til age 95 these days? She contacted the agent and had him over to her home to discuss the age issue and straight out said he didn't write the policy. Wth??? Who the hell wrote it!!??? SMH... I'm so furious with these damn insurance companies ripping people off and the only reason I rated them a 1 star was because I had no choice but if I could I would have given them a minus 10. Stay clear away from these crooks!!!

After speaking with managers and associates I am appalled and disappointed how the situation was handled. It is disappointing how my situation was handled. Let me start with, my mother has had a Life Ins. Policy with Allstate for over 25 years. She has been paying those premiums without incident. She has been paying quarterly for years but recently started getting monthly bills. She called the Ins. Agency she bought the policy from. Long story short, she had taken out a loan on it years ago which is why they changed the payments to monthly and for more money. The agent said to drop down her coverage and it would fix this issue. She had no issues with this and said that is what she wanted to do and go back to quarterly payments. Now she asked about paying the monthly bills she received, he said to NOT pay it. Now she is under the assumption that everything is taken care of and she will be receiving her quarterly bills. After she still was receiving monthly bills she called the agent back. She was never called back and just received a letter stating her policy had lapsed. NO WARNING!!
They said they sent letters but they were NOT received. Everyone I talked to at ALLSTATE was basically implying that we were lying and idiots. Also they couldn't do anything except she can try to reinstate the policy. My mother's health is not what it was over 25 years ago and they have the right to deny her coverage. I believe it's a scam by them to get rid of older people with policies so they don't have to payout. Like my mother would willingly let her policy lapse after this long and two battles with cancer. GET REAL!!! They don't care about their loyal customers and were condescending about this situation. My mother is crushed by this. THANKS FOR NOTHING ALLSTATE and enjoy her over 25 years of premiums!! So much for being in good hands, more like greedy hands! STAY AWAY FROM ALLSTATE!

It's a good thing she also had life insurance on her job because if it wasn't for that we would've been stuck paying for the funeral costs and they are not cheap. Its sad we have to go through all of this. They are now telling me that I am not a beneficiary when the invoice they send her every month has me and my dads name on each and every one of them. The best so far but don't know for real or 100% until make necessary claims when needed. However, I have been happy so far with the service I received from an agent near my house to get our house covered and our cars cover at a premium we are comfortable paying and to get the necessary basic things required for both house and cars covered. I have been with many before Allstate and they kept raising up premiums every year despite we have no claims and been paying on time with great doing records. We have been with SAFco. Rate kept climbing higher and higher and we get less coverage. Same thing for GEICO. Despite mail ads and TV ads saying we would save lots of money, yet we felt we were ripped off since they required size premiums on both cars and houses.
We asked them why we are paying more and more and not less and less for being loyal and pay on time. They simply said policies change for every insurance writers not just them. I was happy with the response since they don't care to do anything right to retain customers who are loyal. They only wanted us back when we left and rate are still ridiculously higher than what I found with Allstate. I would recommend Allstate to anyone which is the only insurance who are. I enough to set a balance and reasonable rate to for its customers. When none covers for our new home, Allstate was the only one we find it pleasant to deal with and fast as well. HOWEVER, there are flat few things agents do mess up, but they fix it in a timely manner when addressed.

My life insurance company is very exceptional but recently I have found my price is increasing. More than it has in the past. I looked around and found many other places offering the same or similar coverage for a 29 year old at a much cheaper price. It seems the longer I am with a company the more they try to charge. Maybe in hopes I do take my business elsewhere so they don't have to pay out anything in the end. I am obviously not a fan of this and I am sure they would say it is due to some other reason but when I originally got the plan the rates were comparable to other places and friends in very similar circumstances are getting quotes much lower from this company than what I am paying.

After a week we called and asked, “Why didn't anyone look at the car?” We were pretty surprised when they answered us. Well thanks to their agent we found out after having term life for 4 years that eventually our premium would be so high we could not afford to keep it. So we went to a lesser amount and a whole life policy where as if we had not been informed we would have been in our "golden years" without any insurance at all.

Furthermore, I was unable to add homeowners insurance with them because they don't cover where I live. That means I have a 20% potential discount on the table.

They sent a request to release medical information to a 3rd party company to investigate a claim. The diagnosis is a muscle strain. How do you not consider a pulled muscle not an accident. I could understand if the claim was a big claim. This has been the worst experience of all the insurance I have ever had. I would not recommend this type of insurance to anyone.

I was an insurance agent for many years with New York Life and other companies. I chose to work for Allstate as a financial rep in 2009. Allstate is never honest with agents, so agents cannot be honest with clients. I saw in 2009 that the universal life policies that were written years before were not capitalized properly and were going to lapse before the client passed. Many clients started asking why and many were older and not insurable any more so this is the only life insurance they may have. The company talked to us about it and told us some big huge lies over and over. Once they even told us to go out and review these and replace them with new better contracts, but when we did they paid us then rescinded the commissions, so we worked for nothing.
Then in 2013 they finally admitted that the LBL reserve to pay claims was not up to par with the requirements from the government and they did a quick sale to a new company, Resolution Life. This new company is just there to end all these policies, either by going up on the premium so much that the client drops it, or just letting the values go away with fees, either way many honest people who paid their hard earned money to Allstate and Lincoln Benefit Life for the security they wanted to provide a loved one, will be sadly disappointed. I do not work for them anymore, and have stopped selling life insurance. I always did my job in a very honest way and did what was right for the client.
I feel awful that I was part of ripping people off, especially since I did not figure it out in time. Allstate is still marketing life insurance through Allstate Life. Another crappy company with bad reserves. I guess Allstate sells living life insurance, since it does not stay in force until the client passes away. There should be a class action suit against them. They deserve to pay something for the way they decided to cheat the public, and the agents they hired to represent them.

I decided to terminate my Allstate term life insurance policy effective immediately after just 20 premium payments. Note: I have had a Whole Life Policy with NY Life Insurance for 15 years. The agent was recently fired from the company. And was hired by Allstate Insurance Oakland, CA. I had tried to contact my agent prior to learning he had been fired by NY Life to discuss adding-on more insurance. When I found out he was now working for Allstate Insurance, we discussed a "term life" policy, with the option of converting over to a Universal Life policy after 1 year. (This was the one thing that changed my mind. I would never have chosen "term life" in the 1st place.) The agent who sold me this policy totally misrepresented how the "conversion from term to Universal Life" & how it worked.
Anyway, the agent was fired again by Allstate for this exact thing, policyholders were now calling & complaining about the "term life"/Universal Life conversion. I had called to ask about converting over since February 13, 2013 was my 1 year anniversary. The owner informed me this wasn't a normal practice - converting after 1 year from term life to Universal Life (And she has been in the business for 17 years). Plus, my premiums would increase to $117 per mo & the current contract would be terminated. If I canceled my policy I would only receive the last month's premium of $65.80? Well, I'm requesting a FULL refund of $1,316.00! Please help misrepresented!

My elderly dad's insurance agent working in Sun City, California, prepared a Change of Beneficiary to make me my dad's beneficiary in September 2012. About the next day, I received a phone call from my cousin, Kathy **, asking for my brother, and sister's social security numbers because she was assisting Mr. ** in changing the beneficiary that added my brother and sister and removing my elderly stepmom from the Annuity because she suffers from severe Alzheimer's and Dementia which took place in September 2012. ** consulted with my cousin about my dad's life insurance policy and had her call me, my brother and sister for their SS#'s. He was to submit the Change of Beneficiary immediately, but he did not without my knowledge and promised to send me a copy of the changes to the Annuity.
I didn't receive it by 2013, so I began calling and emailing Allstate Corporate Office for a copy and eventually, they sent me a form to fill out to obtain a copy. But for two years, Allstate kept giving me the run around and never sent the copy. My parents could have passed away during those two years and that would have caused a legal nightmare. About 1/2014, I was shocked when I received a copy of a Change of POA removing me as POA of my dad's Annuity sent to my home by Mr. **. I don't know what Mr. ** and my cousin Kathy decided in his office in September 2012, when he violated confidentiality and confided with my cousin in his office in 2012, but he never submitted the Change of Beneficiary to the corporate office making me, my brother and sister the beneficiaries. Did he submit a change making himself or Kathy ** the beneficiary? Instead, in January 2014, he told me that he drove my dad to my dad's lawyer to have him draw up a Revocation of Rose ** as POA and my dad signed it.
I contacted my dad's attorney and he said he never drew up such a document. My dad told me that ** drove him to a lawyer's house where he signed the document but he doesn't remember how to get there or the name of the lawyer. ** then drove him to Rush Notary in Sun City and had my dad sign the Notarized copy removing me as his POA. My dad told me that ** drove him to the BofA. I drove my dad to the BofA and to my surprise, ** had my dad remove as POA from my dad's Bank Accounts at BofA in Sun City. ** caused my 90 year old dad excessive stress and he has a heart condition. My dad said that ** and Kathy told him that basically that I was a thief trying to steal $100,000 from his Annuity (which would be impossible) and ** never contacted me between 2012 and January 2014.
On January 2014, I was shocked when I received the Revocation removing me as my dad's POA which ** mailed to my home. So, for two years, I was attempting to get a copy of the Change of Beneficiary for our records from Allstate and couldn't because ** never filed the Change of Beneficiary signed by my dad, twice in September 2012 making me, my brother, and sister, his beneficiaries. ** consulted with my cousin on that day and he took it upon himself to lie to my elderly dad and convince him basically that his daughter is a thief and that he needed to remove me as POA of my dad's Annuity and bank accounts. Total lies. I had to send proof to Allstate that my dad signed a Change of Beneficiary in front of witnesses and that I only requested a form to obtain a copy from their corporate office.
It took two years before Allstate, Erin **, finally emailed me that Allstate Corporate's Office, removed ** from my dad's account and made the appropriate change of beneficiaries and that they made my dad's Annuity a House Account. But, to-date, ** appears to have no disciplinary action taken for violating his fiduciary duty under California Insurance laws and taking it upon himself to Breach the Trust between me and my dad to the point my dad was broken hearted causing stress between us. He violated the insurance agent's codes of ethics and he lied and coerced my elderly dad to under fraudulent circumstances to remove me as POA from my dad's Annuity as well as my dad's Bank Accounts! **'s wrongful actions caused me, my brother, sister, and dad unnecessary stress, time, and two years of effort to straighten out this matter.
To this day, we don't know what ** and Kathy's intent happened to be back in September 2012 or if ** made himself or my cousin, Kathy **, the beneficiary of my dad's annuity illegally. ** told me that he couldn't discuss my dad's Annuity with me (even though I am the POA) but he discussed it with my cousin? In my opinion, Mr. ** should be disciplined and his license removed for risking the health and financial welfare of our family. I submitted a complaint to the California Commissioner Consumer Fraud early January, but to-date haven't received a response.

When I was working, we were able to take out a supplemental insurance from Allstate on a cancer policy. The money for this policy was automatically taken out of our paychecks. I believe this started in 2009. I have always paid around $21.00 a month for this. I left my company this year in September 2012 and called Allstate to make sure I could keep paying for this cancer policy. At this time, it was found that there were two policies in my name and that one wasn't being paid on. They were overcharging me for a new policy, which never was authorized by me. This apparently started in Feb 2012. I was being charged over $38.00 a month for a second policy that I never authorized or changed.
I have contacted Allstate numerous times to get this straightened out, and each time I call, I get the call center and have to re-explain everything to a new operator. They end up saying they will get a rep to help me, but it always turns out the rep is busy. Then they say someone will get back to me. No one ever does. One operator finally dug further into my complaint and found that my policy was paid until June of 2013, which I asked for in writing and received. I received an email from Allstate on 12/21/12, stating I need to continue paying or cancel my policy. I called them that day and was told an audit was done on my account and that I need to start paying on my account to keep it current.
I explained about the two policies and being overcharged of which none of this was authorized by me to have anything changed. She told me they canceled the first policy and applied payments to the second policy (the higher policy), and this is why I now need to start paying. I told her once again that this should not have happened. I am being overcharged and I have a letter stating that this policy is paid through June 2013. She stated since they did an audit on my account, the letter was no longer valid. I told her again that I never authorized a second policy. She once again said a rep would get back to me, but of course, no one has.
Basically, now I just would like to cancel all policies from this company and get a refund for the overpayments that were taken. This insurance company basically opened a new and higher policy for which I was paying on. This was done without my knowledge and only came to the forefront when I quit my job and wanted to continue with my cancer policy from Allstate Insurance. I am not able to get anyone to give me answers and now I just want a refund. On a side note, I did put a claim in on this policy which now nothing is covered according to them.

Eighteen years ago at the age of 51, 5/8/1992, I purchased a life insurance policy called a universal life policy because I wanted a policy that would leave my loved ones resources they would need in the event of my death. Today, 6/18/2010, I spoke to a representative of the company because I had wanted to borrow $1000 from my policy. I was informed if I did my life insurance would cease. I explained that when I looked at the policy information it showed a maturity date of May 08, 2036. They indicated that date meant something totally different and that the information on the back of the Annual Report was the accurate information.
Located at the bottom of that page was nebulous information saying that if I paid the premiums my coverage on an "illustrated basis would end on 10/3/14. This would be three years from now and this after I have paid $187.10 month for $22,452 and now at 69 I am faced with leaving nothing to anyone. I was totally deceived. It should also be mentioned that I worked for Allstate Insurance in sales for several years. If I could not understand this policy how could the normal layman? No one would buy this policy who wanted to leave money to surviving children or loved ones. No one informed me of this, in 18 years, until I called them. It is a scam of the greatest magnitude.
I have invested almost $22,000 in an insurance policy that will leave my loved ones "0". I could have deposited those funds in different financial instruments to achieve my goal; however, I was directed to this plan. I should mention now that at 69 and having had a heart transplant and kidney transplant I face my death with fear of a promise unkept. As a boy I saw my family members die, my mom and stepdad die without insurance and the family having to pay for a burial, leaving nothing to their children but the burden of paying off a dead man's debt. I promised myself that this would not happen to me. How unfortunate, little did I know.

I was advised, after verifying all the info with a rep, that my cash value amount would be deposited to my account via direct deposit within 10 days. It's now 2/23/10 and no deposit yet as of today.
When I called in the beginning of the month, I told the rep that I'm terminating my policy due to hardship and that I needed the money to move into another rental at the end of the month. Yesterday (2/22) I spoke with a "Terrence" who claimed to be from their "processing dept" and admitted that it was an internal miscommunication that is resulting in the delay of my deposit. I was advised that it was processed on 2/18/10 and he instructed me to call him this morning if I do not have the deposit to my account. I called him 7 times this morning and left several messages.
Finally, I spoke to a customer service supervisor named Paul who informed me that Terrence was nothing more than a customer service rep and he doesn't know where all that info he gave me came from. Furthermore, when I asked to be transferred to a manager in their processing dept, this was not allowed. Paul then proceeded to say that he would handle this personally, even though he now claims this was just processed last night and that it would take 3-5 days for me to receive my deposit. This will prevent me and my family to move into the new rental and possibly leave us out on the streets if I don't receive my deposit by this Friday, 2/26/10.
After 21 years with this company, I am happy to have severed ties with such a rude and dishonest company. Currently, I am still waiting for a positive (if any) action from this company. I am very stressed out, frustrated, and feel like I've been treated with absolutely no respect, especially after having had a policy with Allstate for the past 21 years. I had been an Allstate customer since 1988 for auto insurance and since 1991 for life insurance. I have a complaint. In November of 1991, my wife and I went to the office of Allstate agent, Kay **, in Summerville, SC, to open a life insurance policy on myself. I retired in 1989 and wanted a guaranteed $50,000 policy. We explained to the agents, Kay and Mark ** that we wanted a policy that would be paid up at some point and would be worth at the paid up date $50.000.
They offered us a Universal Life Policy and not the term policy we thought we needed. They assured us that this policy would be worth $50,000 and they illustrated the growth of the policy in the first five or six years and they used a fraudulent 8 percent interest rate to illustrate that the policy would mature in the year 2036. We made it plain to them that what we were seeking was a policy that would give my wife some benefits at my demise. They assured us that not only would this policy do that, but it would also give us the flexibility of having a cash value that we could borrow from. Kay worked a calculation based on an interest rate of 8 percent paid on my cash value that made the policy mature in the year 2036 at the age of 95.
We didn't know enough about insurance at the time to know that we were being scammed. Never once did they explain that the value of the policy would in the later years be reduced by the cost of the policy or that the real interest rate at the time was 5 percent nor did they tell us that the interest rate was tied to the stock market. It was what they hid from us that made us buy this policy as much as what they embellished.
Over the years I had my suspicions, but I never became alarmed until I read that the policy was to cease 11/12/14 after 18 year of paying my premium. I called Mark to make an appointment. This was when he, for the first time, explained my policy to me fully. After he had had me for 18 years and there was very little left for him to gain, he enthusiastically explained. I had been squeezed dried. I was left with nothing to leave my wife after 18 years of thinking that she would be taken care of when the time came.
You may find it useful to know how this company has been misrepresented by this agency, but there is nothing I can do but appeal to whatever sense of fair play and decency Allstate may have. Please review my policy and how it was prepared and see if this is a policy you would have written. I have surrendered my policy. Mark offered no realistic alternatives. We are devastated.

And also on the promotion when i first signed up for it on 26th of June 1991 it says that after 15 years of contunuous coverage, you get vack every cent you paid in premiums. and the only requirement is tha i maintain the policy for 15 consecutive years.
its been 17 years already and they still keep on taking money from my checking account. i would like to ask for your help to get back all the premiums i have paid from this company.
continuously charging me on my checking account even if i no longer have the credit card and it's been over 15 years.
